Aberdeen Sports Village is a premier destination for sports enthusiasts and fitness lovers alike. This expansive facility features an impressive Olympic-sized 50m swimming pool with 10 lanes, alongside a versatile 25m pool equipped with a floating floor. Unique to the area, it also offers diving facilities that reach heights of up to 10 meters, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned divers looking to hone their skills.
Very impressive place with very friendly staff. I will definitely come back and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I managed to take you pictures so you can imagine how it looks like even the changing rooms. For more pictures from my travels follow my Instagram michaelqmul I'm sure you will enjoy the pictures from all over the country...

Aberdeen Sports Village is hands down the best place for sports and exercise in the city. It offers spacious, well-maintained facilities that cater to nearly every type of sport and fitness activity you can think of—swimming, football, squash, tennis, yoga, dancing, running, gym workouts, even jumping exercises and more. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re just starting out or training seriously. The atmosphere is always welcoming and motivating. I highly recommend it to anyone living in Aberdeen who wants to stay active and healthy!
Barham A — Google review
Fantastic facility with a range of memberships for all the community providing excellent value for money. Staff are welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. Some repairs are unfortunately left for a considerable time particularly were reference to the dry side showering facilities. This does distract from the overall quality of the provision however it is perhaps understandable in light of financial restraints and other management decisions that have to be taken. Nonetheless, I look forward to my visits on a weekly basis.
Graeme R — Google review
Great option if u are looking for everything under one roof and booking process is quite easy. Also, many events to take part in.
Mehwish A — Google review
One of the worst gyms one been too. Gym is always packed, can't book courts unless you wake up at 6am, and even then they are booked in seconds. I would day customer serves is good but they never answer the phones. Not to even mention the weekend opening times. Happy i've changed gym
Kai F — Google review
This is a great place. But there is no hadwash in the gents toilets close to the gym. Also we booked Pickleball and had to search high and low for bats and a ball that was not bust. Surely the staff should make sure the equipment is good to use. If you are paying every month for the facilities this should be the staff number one priority to supply cleaning materials and proper sports materials.

World class multi sport training facility, including athletics, gymnastics, trampolining, squash, basketball, weight training, hockey pitches and large indoor sports field. Clean, with excellent amenities and motivated staff.

Swimming pool
Tullos Swimming Pool is a leisure center located in Grantown-on-Spey, offering swimming lessons for both the Grantown Swim Club and the public. The facility features public swim sessions throughout the week, with private lessons available on Wednesdays. The pool includes a small walk-in area for kids and a standard pool for swimming. Additionally, there are various items available for purchase such as swim toys, goggles, and swimming nappies.
A real hidden gem! The building’s in an area that’s being redeveloped, and the school next door looks a bit rough, but inside it’s been totally renovated and feels fresh and inviting. The small pool is awesome for little kids — deep enough to have fun underwater but still safe. The big pool is great for adults, and the large non-swimmer area makes it perfect for teaching kids to swim. Honestly, it’s a great spot and a real plus for the neighborhood.
Fleeting G — Google review
Great swimming pool! It has a large and a small pool which is great so different swimmers don’t mix and get in each other’s way! The changing area and pool side were both very warm. The only thing that really let it down was the changing area itself. It was very dirty and unclean. Usually swim at another Sport Aberdeen pool and it is very clean. The floor was dirty and lots of rubbish left on the floor etc.
Andrew C — Google review
Absolutely love it here for our baby it’s the best pool in Aberdeen. Small pool and a normal pool and the small pool is walk in making it so easy to get in with a baby. The changing rooms are clean and the baby changing is a perfect size.
Alex A — Google review
Good place to take the kids. 2 pools, big and small and both are well heated with alert staff. They do recommend you bring armbands for all kids under a certain age. The price was great!! £10 for 2 kids and 2 adults if I recall correctly.
Hulsee P — Google review
I am giving this pool one star as the facilities are very poor. The hair dryer are poor quality, not maintained properly and not in working condition for months. People have to que and rely on one hair dryer. Similarly most of the time the showers are under repair and sometimes there is water everywhere in the changing room and have bad smell.
Sav R — Google review
Going to Tullos swimming pool has become my daily routine. I find the early morning lane swimming well attended and a great start to the day. The facilities are clean and the staff friendly and helpful.
Nathalie S — Google review
We use the pool to attend swimming lessons for our 4 year old. We were previously at the beach pool, however due to its closure our lessons were re-arranged to Tullos pool. The changing facilities are nice, clean and modern. The pool for lessons (of our child's age) is small & overcrowded. There are two lessons running simultaneously in the small learner pool. The kids struggle to swim around without colliding into one another and it's extremely hard to hear the swimming teacher. The parking is also limited, with spaces fairly tight. Not the best pool Aberdeen city has to offer. We by far preferred the beach leisure centre pool.
Hazel B — Google review
Friendly staff brilliant pool. A small walk in pool for kids and a large standard pool for swimming. Great facilities and items to purchase if required such as kids swim toys, swimming nappies, swim socks and goggles. Would recommend to anyone. Both my sons love it for their classes.

Get active @ Northfield is a newly renovated facility in Aberdeen, featuring a modern fitness center and a five-lane, 25-meter pool. The pool offers adult-only public lane swimming and free swim sessions for both Sport Aberdeen members and the public, with no advance booking required. The facility also provides ample changing rooms with large lockers and private family changing rooms equipped with enclosed areas for babies and toddlers.
I've had a fantastic experience at Get Active @ Northfield, especially with their swimming pool facilities. My kids are taking swimming lessons here, and I’m really impressed with their progress. The instructors are patient, professional, and great with children, making each lesson both fun and educational. The pool is always clean, well-maintained, and a great environment for learning. My kids are happy and excited to attend every session, which speaks volumes about the quality of instruction. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for swimming lessons or just a great place to swim!

We use the swimming pool with our 2 year old. Staff is always pleasant, the facility is clean and the pool is superb. Keenly priced too, adult with 2 year old £5.50 for hour, £10.50 for 2 adults.
Vit A — Google review
Good sports center, convenient location, plenty of space for cars. A moderate, cozy gym with enough sports equipment. Swimming pool 25 m, 6 lines. Warm water, changing cabins, shower cabins, men's and women's toilets .The only thing is that there are always a lot of people in the pool. Everything is very conveniently located. Friendly staff.
GD V — Google review
Good facility but most public sessions are very busy family sessions and if you are looking for a quiet area of the pool, it might be difficult but overall worth visiting.
Naitikkumar P — Google review
When I came in to get registered (16/09 at around 10:15am) one of the female staff threw my new card on the desk instead of handing it to me or placing it down politely. I was so shocked in the moment that I couldn’t say anything, but the experience disturbed me deeply and even affected my focus at work afterwards. As I write this, I genuinely pray that you find healing from whatever has made you so bitter towards others that basic kindness and courtesy are forgotten.
Shazia Y — Google review
Visited the pool, facility was great however eyes were very badly affected by the chlorine which doesn't normally bother me.... Either too much was used or the type used is harsh

Have used the swimming pool couple of times. All friends and family loves it. Clean pool, very attentive, supportive and kind staff. Don't have to break a bank to be here, very affordable and reasonable for services. One of our favourite place now. Definitely recommended. 👍🏻 ❤️ Regards

Bridge of Don Swimming Pool is a leisure center in Grantown-on-Spey that offers swimming lessons through the Grantown Swim Club and private lessons on Wednesdays. Public swim sessions are available throughout the week, including early mornings, lunchtimes, evenings, and weekends. The pool is well-maintained and features clean water with five lanes for swimming. Visitors have noted the friendly and helpful staff, although some suggest that the changing rooms could be cleaner.
I believe this is the deepest public swimming pool in Aberdeen at 3 m at the deep end. Good for diving practice and a bit of fun. The staff are also nice and helpful. A bit of a drive to get there but apart from that everything is fine. Recommended especially for public sessions.
Naitikkumar P — Google review
The pool itself is clean and serves its purpose. The changing room could do with better cleaning but great that they are individual shower cubicles.

The Aberdeen Beach Leisure Centre is a place where people can get active year-round. There are pools, four flumes, and a wave pool to keep everyone entertained. It's also a great place for family fun.
Insta: michaelqmul Always amazing to be at the beach by leisure centre . Get active got very friendly staff and I could highly recommend it to anyone. I always feel welcome there and for that I would like to say thank you guys.

It is a very nice place to swim or do other sports. The place is very clean and organised . At the gim you can find a lot of options.
Elena B — Google review
Good gym, have used it for a couple of years and the Sport Aberdeen price is pretty good considering you get swimming pools too. The new addition of Sauna / Steam room is cool after a workout. If any improvements could be made I would say better ventilation or at least blinds for the top part of the gym as the sun that belts through the glass roof in the summer is a killer when you're working out, also, maybe another squat rack. Overall, it's a good place for your gym, staff always friendly / up for banter, and usually always get parked outside.
Alex M — Google review
I've been taking my son here since he was 3 months. I love this pool! its nice and warm so he doesn't get cold. He is now 2 and we still enjoy our weekly swim here 😊 also my childhood pool and not much has changed! Staff are super friendly and helpful!
Ashleigh “ — Google review
The swimming pool is small and while I was there it was very crowded (1pm on a Saturday). They do have good changing facilities with both larger cubicles for parent and baby to get changed comfortably and a family changing room. They have lockers of a decent size to keep your items in that require a £1 to lock (the £1 is returned). The showers can sometimes be too warm but are adequate to wash yourself but they are not private, there is no where to put a young child or baby down while you wash yourself. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Sarah S — Google review
Usually come here to play basketball games, too full size courts. Parking is a bit poor, though there is street parking. In need of renovation old fittings and feels very 90s, haven't been here for anything else so can't really comment. It doesn't seem too bad of a place, nice enough staff. I sometimes see events being advertised there so I think it has a few things going on.
Aiden — Google review
Totally dissapointed. Today I wanted to go to this swimming pool with 2 children, but it was not for me because it closed at 15.30, even though the opening hours on the website are until 22.00. It is not written anywhere, and the Lady who told me this was very rude. I also called in the morning to ask how many tickets are there, and in this case, too, no one told me that the swimming pool is closed at 3.30pm. This is just unbelievable.
WERONIKA K — Google review
The pool is good fun, bit dated but good fun with wave machine, rapids and 1 free flume, and 3 bigger flumes that you pay extra for, but still worth it for a good time. Both me and my 6 year old daughter love it and spend a good few hours on the flumes. The gym, however is also very dated, but for a £25 a month membership it's not bad value, however I cancelled my membership after 2 weeks due to the cleanliness of one of the water coolers which put me off using the gym, but will certainly be a regular customer at the pool. Overall it does what it says, but could do with a refit.

If you're considering a visit to David Lloyd Aberdeen, let me share my recent experience that truly exceeded expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Luke, whose extensive knowledge and helpfulness shone through during the facility tour. He provided all the necessary information and patiently answered any lingering questions I had afterward. The joining process was seamless, thanks to an efficient team dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition for new members.
David Lloyd Gym – Excellent Experience! I’ve had a fantastic experience at David Lloyd Gym since joining at the start of the year! The facilities are top-notch – modern, clean, and well-maintained. What truly sets it apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help, which creates such a positive atmosphere from the moment you walk in. One of my favorite parts of the gym is the Blaze classes – they’re high-energy, fun, and a great way to push yourself while still enjoying the workout. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, there’s something for everyone. I also love the pool facilities and like to relax here after a busy week! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place to train, unwind, and feel part of a community!
Nicole H — Google review
We recently joined David Lloyd Aberdeen as a family. Matt, Sales Manger, was so friendly when showing us round all the facilities and we didn't feel rushed or pressured in anyway. The club is spotless and staff are welcoming and helpful. The range of classes and equipment is plentiful. If you have younger children, the kids club activities and team are incredible. The kids classes are timed along with the adults classes. My little one has started swimming lessons with Lucy and is enjoying these far more than her previous swimming class. I've yet to have my first PT training session I met with Gemma for my induction and she was extremely encouraging. We love the pool and and always have lots of fun as a family. The spa area is also kept very clean and never feels crowded. I'm so glad we joined.

Had a really big confidence issues about starting a gym but very eased from the first day. The app works great. Really clean and state of the art equipment. Very friendly staff. Wanted to upgrade my membership and Luke from Sales able to help me out. Got a complimentary pt session which looking forward too
Robert C — Google review
just joined David Lloyd Aberdeen. Staff have been wonderful from Luke who we met with initially to Kyle the trainer for training sessions. Everyone seems friendly and helpful and club feels spacious, clean and welcoming. Only tried the gym so far but looking forward to trying some classes and the pool. All in all a very positive experience.
Angela M — Google review
Simply brilliant; too many facilities to mention but the gym, pool/spa and tennis (and badminton) courts are exceptional. The introductory free Personal Trainer sessions to set up a personalised training program was particularly useful. There are so many exercise/yoga/pilates classes for all ages/abilities which run every day, including most early mornings and evenings, so fits in with our schedule. The kids love the pool and other activities designed especially for them, particularly the family exercise and swimming sessions. There are various member run activities and a decent social scene, even if the selection of food and drinks is a little limited, but that's not important for us. Membership Seemed quite pricey at first but, between the gym, pool, spa, exercise classes and sports, there's more than enough for four of us to enjoy three or four times a week, so we certainly get our monies worth. And best of all, it’s making a real difference to our levels of fitness and energy levels. Special thanks to Luke - he made joining easy, configured a package that works for us and his energy is infectious.
Marilou B — Google review
The Club is very modern and equipped with all the neccesary items. Swimming area is nice and large and the spa is really great to relax in. Matt was great, showed me around the Club and patiently answered all my questions. He was really nice and great chat as well. I cannot recommend him and the facilities enough. Very happy to be a client
Liviu B — Google review
Recently joined. Was shown around initially by Luke who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Plenty of classes available. Gym is well laid out and spacious. One point that needs attention though. The beginner Pickleball classes need an instructor if you want to get people to improve. We went and didn’t have a clue what we were doing.
John L — Google review
I've recently rejoined David Lloyd Aberdeen, and a big part of that decision was down to Luke. From the very start, nothing has ever been a bother for him. He's proactive, always thinking about what's best for the client, and there's a real sense of trust and honesty in the way he operates. Luke originally signed me up the first time, and now I’m back — largely because of the great rapport he’s built with our family. He strikes the perfect balance of being professional yet warm, and always greets you with a smile. A real asset to the team!

Amazing and clean swimming pool, and good staff. Pool timings can be terrible, random closures every month, and very limited public swimming. The steam room stinks of mold. Sauna is nice, locker system is good. Not enough private showers, they can at least add shower curtains. Membership is expensive for people who only want to use aquatics facilities.
Ayushi B — Google review
Popped in here 2 weeks ago as I'm a full time wheelchair user and my app told me this was the closest changing places toilet near me as I was visiting Aberdeen from Falkirk for the day. I cant use a normal disabled toilet. I walked in and asked where the toilet was and the security officer said they didn't have one and told us try the sports village at the other end. I then went to someone standing next to the bollards and asked him he said there's an event on we cant let you in. I explained I have stoma and crohns and colitis and need urgent access as well as I also need a wee but can't do it in a normal disabled toilet and my app said there is one here. He didn't know if there was and said because there is an event on no ones allowed in and that i should use the disabled toilet which doesnt have a hoist which i wouldnt be able to transfer safely. They turned me away I went to my car and double checked my app and came back in and showed them the picture of the changing places toilets and that it claimed it was here. It was then they admitted it was there and that it was in the changing room area. I said I don't want to swim I need the toilet and you can't deny me my right to use public toilet especially when I have a stoma due to crohns and colitis and especially when I cant transfer normally to a normal disabled toilet. I asked to speak to manager whom came out and straight away said I could use it without any issues like those security officers gave me. He told me though the hoist doesn't work so my wife had to let me use my bedpan we luckily brought with us which was humiliating and I had to lay on the plastic bed in order to wee. It was humiliating and it was disgraceful. Your staff should be taught that no matter what special event is happening if I need to use the nearest changing places disabled toilet which has a hoist in it and especially people whom can't use a normal disabled toilet and has a serious condition like crohns and colitis and has stoma due to this condition needs urgent use of toilet which suits their needs. Failure to allow me access which was the case at 1st is illegal and discriminating. It goes against the disability equality act. Shame on you I will never be back. Have a word with your staff and highlight the importance and discrimination and I hope in future they won't stop other people like me their right to use a toilet suitable for their needs. Disgusting and shocking behaviour.

Aberdeen Aquatics Centre is a fantastic facility for swimming and fitness enthusiasts. With its clean, well-maintained pools, friendly staff, and excellent amenities, it offers a great experience for all ages and abilities. Whether you're swimming for leisure, training, or taking part in fitness classes, this centre has everything you need for a productive and enjoyable visit. Highly recommended!
Ramy A — Google review
Crazy expensive. Staff are disinterested, often bordering on being rude, sometimes actually being downright rude. Update The place is starting to fall apart. Comedy large TV screen in the foyer is always on but never displaying anything, burning through energy, yet they are complaining about funding being reduced. Been that way for months. The swimsuit dryer is literally broken more often than its working, so often now that they've stopped bothering putting a sign up when it's broken. Invariably, the pool is shut for events at weekends. I pay a full membership (as that is the only option these days) just to use the pool, and regularly I can't. The changing rooms often have a strong sewage smell in them and several of the lockers don't work anymore. This 'wonderful' facility has been so badly managed. It'll end up going the same way at the beach pool without an increased cash injection each year. It has already had literally millions of pounds off the council (same from the lottery and Aberdeen uni) and yet it's not found a way to stand on its own two feet yet after several years operating. It's a disgrace that public money is being squandered on the management team and their oversight.

I go to the Aberdeen Physically Disabled Swimming Club here every Tuesday and its great (the others there like to complain about the pool being too cold but it doesn't bother me). The staff are nice and helpful and there is access if you are disabled ie; parking, changing rooms and a chair for getting in and out of the pool (although you may need to ask them to set it up as there are times when we go that we have to wait as it is not out at the time). Only issue I have is when we do go some people leave their things in a changing room or a locker without locking it which can be a bit frustrating (especially if you are blind like a couple we have at the Club).

Nuffield Health Aberdeen Fitness & Wellbeing Gym offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The facilities are well-maintained, and the pool is relatively quiet at certain times, providing a relaxing experience. Members appreciate the good range of equipment and various classes available, including yin yoga which is suitable for specific health conditions. Overall, it's considered a great community with positive experiences compared to other health clubs in Aberdeen.
Nuffield Health has been a huge part of my fitness journey. The gym is always clean and well-equipped, but what makes it special is the supportive and friendly atmosphere. The staff are approachable and genuinely care, which keeps me motivated every time I walk in. It feels like more than just a gym — it’s a place where I can train, recharge, and keep pushing towards my goals.

Please could you make sure that all members AND day pass users are aware of good pool hygiene and can actually read!!! Absolutely sick of the pool being used as a plunge pool, Many don’t bother showering between sauna/steam room, despite a huge notice right in front of those facilities Swimmers who do actually pay to use the club are left swimming around in sweaty bacterial soup🤢🤢, it’s disgusting Today, there were cans of Redbull on the side of the pool! I do like this club , I enjoy the facilities, and the staff are great.

I've been a member for a couple of months now. The equipment space is ok, not many varieties of new machines, they all look used and frequently they are under maintenance (so you can't use and there is only one type of that machine). Never spoken to any staff other than the always welcoming receptionists. Every time I go in there is someone cleaning either floor, equipment, or changing rooms, and the overall cleanliness is good. Except for the space for you to exercise without any equipment by the stairs is always dirty, I don't think those mattresses were ever taken off to clean underneath. The only thing that is quite unsatisfactory is opening timings. It closes at 10 pm on weekdays and 8 pm on weekends and holidays. This makes absolutely no sense to me, the pool area closes half an hour early (for practical reasons). I don't think is cheap for what they offer, I only go for convenience and because I have a discount. There is a lot that can be improved.

The facilities are overall good but sauna was unavailable to use for months due to repairs and maintenance. The closing times are 10 pm for weekdays and 8pm for weekends, which is not very common for gyms. The other gyms might have a better value for money.

I joined this gym because it was local to me and also because it had a swimming pool which is rare in Aberdeen city however it’s a pretty tired gym. I mainly use the swimming facilities and the steam room and the sauna, which has been out of action for about six weeks and really that’s just not good enough. There should be. 48 hour standard to get it fixed. The staff are great, facilities could be great but needs a bit of investment. The swimming costume machine doesn’t work properly and there’s a bucket underneath it catch in the water. I think this is a waterborne health issue and I’d like something done about that. The drinking water machine in the gym in the swimming pool in the changing rooms is out of action for a 6 months. This place needs a good bit of investment to just get up to scratch because it’s really not good enough.

Very disappointed with Nuffield Health Aberdeen. The cleaning standards are absolutely deplorable; Staff are often unfriendly, unhelpful, and on more than one occasion have been misleading when asked about issues. For the high membership fees, it’s definitely not good value for money. The sauna has been broken for over three months with no sign of action – just excuses. Overall, a very poor experience and not what you’d expect from a premium health club.
Fernando G — Google review
Been a member for multiple years, as it’s convenient and with a pool and sauna in the city center. However it’s fairly pricey and maintenance of the equipment and of the sauna is not just satisfactory for the price they offer. Multiple machines are on maintenance lately, reducing the availability and at peak time is mania, too many people for the equipment available. The sauna has now been out of service for over a month. Staff is welcoming and overall the gym is clean very frequently which is nice

Outstanding Care and Kindness at Nuffield Health Aberdeen – Thank You, Chelsea I’d like to share my deep appreciation for a member of staff at Nuffield Health Aberdeen. On Wednesday night, after spending some time relaxing in the steam room and pool, I began to feel unwell in the changing room. I experienced sudden chest pain and felt overwhelmed and scared. Thankfully, one of the cleaning staff noticed something wasn’t right and quickly alerted the receptionist, Chelsea. She came to check on me right away and I truly can’t thank her enough for how she handled the situation. Chelsea was incredibly professional, calm, and kind. Her presence alone was reassuring—she stayed with me, brought me water, and made sure I felt as safe and comfortable as possible while we waited for the ambulance. In such a frightening moment, her compassion and care made all the difference. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her support. I’m usually quite honest when it comes to feedback, and in this case, I want to be equally honest about how grateful I am. Chelsea went above and beyond, and it deserves to be recognised. Thank you so much, Chelsea—you truly made a scary moment much easier to face.
