Château de Fonscolombe

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversy. Overall the experience was outstanding, from the moment we arrived until we left we had an amazing time. The property itself is beautiful, the rooms are well decorated and comfortable, the dinner at l’Orangerie was incredible and the breakfast was well prepared. What really made our stay special was the staff. I had made a note in our reservation about our wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make our celebration a memorable one. We plan to return in the future.

Dinner wasn’t great and the breakfast was so basic I taught I was in a Francise hotel. All the staff are not on the same page and we kept telling us different stories. We checked in late but the receptionist said we had time to make it for dinner. Another member said we cannot. We did make it in time and then had to wait over an hour. There was about 5 other tables, who already had food. Same with breakfast. Asked about eggs and they are supplemented (extra for fried) Another told us we can order and they’ll cook. Like how do you get this basic stuff wrong. 50% of the time. Bad training. I good management accountable. Grounds are beautiful and place itself is amazing. Also a suggestion is to have a fridge for the room. You have these in standard hotels but not in a chateaux that’s 1k a night that’s absurd. Most people enjoy cold drinks. Easy stuff here

Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Staff was amazing: kind, helpful and always one step ahead of you to provide the best experience. The breakfast was delicious with mostly locally sourced foods. The hotels pledge to sustainability is visible in all aspects. Would 100% come back.

I had the amazing chance and opportunity to stay there a few days a few weeks ago and it was absolutely charming I spent one of the most wonderful weekend of my life All the employees were really careful, looking for any detail, making sure that me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay. The location is absolutely insane, and the food is delicious. Can’t wait to come back for another stay !!!

Walking among the massive cedar trees, I was transported back in time to my homeland, a deeply moving and grounding experience that made this estate feel even more special. Whether strolling through the gardens or relaxing by the 24/7 pool, I was surrounded by beauty at every turn. The housekeeping team was flawless—my room felt pristine and refreshed every single day, a true testament to their dedication and attention to detail. But what truly set my stay apart was the incredible hospitality. Every staff member radiated warmth, professionalism, and a sincere desire to make my stay perfect. A special mention must go to Liticia, who went above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. She not only ensured that I was always comfortable but also personally helped me navigate stressful and costly rental car issues. Her care, foresight, and dedication quite literally saved me more than once—and I will be forever grateful for her kindness. Equally noteworthy was the classy touch of the manager personally reaching out to me, reinforcing that sense of being genuinely cared for and valued as a guest. The 25/7 concierge service (yes, they truly feel like they never sleep!) was an invaluable luxury, always ready to assist with any request—no matter the hour. Combined with the estate’s timeless charm, ancient cedars, and flawless amenities, it created the feeling of having everything I could possibly need at my fingertips. One note to the hotel: The food options are pricy and did not change during my stay, which I understand. But a rotating menu could help this for guests staying more than a week. The food was good, just over priced. In short, Château de Fonscolombe is far more than a five-star hotel—it’s an experience, a sanctuary, and a memory I will treasure forever. If you are fortunate enough to stay here, you will be treated not just as a guest, but as family.
