They offer surprising and seasonal recipes that customers can customize based on their dietary preferences. The establishment prioritizes healthy eating by sourcing most of its ingredients from local producers and providing a wide selection of vegetarian options.
Listen people! You can check how many coffee shops I reviewed in my history as a Google maps user, now this was actually the BEST coffee I have ever drank!!!! (Capuchino). I'm so lucky to come here just for that. Besides that, food is also delicious and great as the service bravo!
Nir M — Google review
Really delicious breakfast. I had a latte, a slice of the apple and almond cake and the French toast with truffle oil. It was perfect for me! My hubby had the brunch which came with avocado toast, caramel pancakes, a latte and a fresh juice. Everything was delightful! 🧡
Kimball's C — Google review
We come for having lunch, i got a salad and bread with egg (most expensive on salty menu) but it seems that the salad is not well clean, a lot of dust when eating and unable to finish the dish. Their dishes have a lot of different salad options,be careful because it may not edible.
Vi K — Google review
Very good place in the rotunde area. The food was nice and the service ok
More — Google review
The breakfast is great; however, it’s a little pricey for the portions served. Good service.
Jesus — Google review
This is an amazing cafe. While we stayed in Aix, we had brunch there every day. There were many foods to choose from, as well as drinks (try the black latte, it's absolutely amazing). The service was incredibly quick and the servers very polite and kind, we even made friends with one of the women who works there. If I ever come again, this is where I'll be having breakfast every day Do yourself a favour and don't miss this gem

Awesome place if you’re craving a simple, yet delicious brunch! Staff is super friendly and always up for a chat. If you’re here for a visit definitely check it out, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful sun!

The food was exceptionally tasty. On almost every option there was a gluten free possibility. You could add or takeaway stuff from your dish. The food came really quickly.

Les Fils à Maman Aix en Provence is a restaurant that caters to those longing for the comforting flavors of their childhood. The menu features traditional and generous dishes such as homemade cordon bleu, babybel croquettes, and Kinder tiramisu. The nostalgic ambiance is filled with childhood toys and vibrant colors, creating a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. While the food draws inspiration from traditional cuisine, it also incorporates modern influences.
Yes, no doubt you’ll have a good time here. It looks simple in the plate, but the quality of each ingredient is so high that it makes the dish exceptional. Fries and potatoes are maybe the best I ever had. A must do in Aix 🙌🏼
Marc W — Google review
The design and the interior are incredible. I felt like I was in my childhood. Great atmosphere and positive vibes. The food is good but not great. The service could be faster, we wait maybe 30 min. The staff is very friendly. It is good to make a reservation before you go because it is not so big. It was also a little bit cold inside.
Plamena T — Google review
Just a correct restaurant, nothing special. The meals were edible but nothing was extraordinary, the steak was a bit rubbery. We won’t eat here again. Very average.
Culture T — Google review
Had a good dinner here. Place was very busy and staff coped well. Good service and nice meals enjoyed, sat inside and the temperature was quite warm.
Matt C — Google review
We came here for lunch last year in May. We were pretty happy for everything. and this year, we returned here with our son. It was Wednesday lunch time in September. The restaurant was almost packed. We sat down and wait for a long time to order food as there are only two waitresses to serve. Then we waited for almost half an hour to get food. The table behind us even came here before we. and the table next to us whom came not long ago. We got food at the same time. And the food is not as impressive as last time. I dunno if there any change for management after the last visit. But we probably won't visit again for a while.
Ally D — Google review
We went a Saturday and to be honest, overall the place is ok. We order a croque madame, and it was meh, not bad but not delicious. The staff was normal and the restaurant is kind of cool for some ig pictures but that’s it. The area of the bathroom could improve a lot, because the doors of the wc, when opened, colide with the sink. So if someone is washing their hands you can hit them with the door and basically you have to wait to get out. I don’t think, I’d come back to this restaurant
Vero T — Google review
Great food, great place to hang out with friends. Very casual setting, and interesting themed deco of toys! We also played the jeu and won some free drink and food! 😆 Merci!!

I was very excited to revisit foods from my childhood. The restaurant was super fun and the service was fast and very welcoming. I was a little disappointed by the food, but perhaps, I had too high expectations from childhood memories 😂

Le Pain Quotidien is a popular European bakery/cafe chain with numerous locations in the U.S. The name translates to 'the daily bread,' reflecting its focus on classic light fare and organic breads. In Aix-en-Provence, it's located in Place Richelme, near the daily market. Due to its popularity, there are often long queues for seats, so it's advisable to put your name down and explore the nearby market while waiting for a table.
Love the vibe of the outside searing area with the local market from local producers. Summer may be too hot for brunch dinners. Great option for breakfast outside of a hotel nearby. It's got a very nice butter croissant. The bacon that comes with the scrambled egg is a little tough.
Preeyakorn P — Google review
Do these 2 pictures look the same for you? The nice one is what we order and the second one is what they bring. Guys, 3 berries? Really? You must have gotten emotional about your own generosity, huh?
Dmitrii K — Google review
What you see in the pictures is the gardener’s croque. It is vegetarian and one of my go to dishes at ‘le pain quotidien’. The dish is quite balanced with carbs and vegetables. The salad was served fresh. It would be better if some vegetarian or vegan protein were added to the dish to make it a complete balanced meal. I had ordered a pot of Jasmine tea to go with the meal. The avocado toast is scrumptious too! Please do try it.
Mousumi R — Google review
We had a very tasty lunch here, as well as a nice local beer and wine. The service was fine, and the place was cute and clean.. and it had much needed Air Conditioning! Thank You.
JUST S — Google review
The gluten free bread was so bad, so bitter that I couldn’t finish my meal as the taste lingered. Otherwise I always liked pain Q especially their gluten free in other countries. Best to eat good French bread and forget about gluten free
Lorraine B — Google review
Ordered an Americano (€2.95) with milk. They told me that “doesn’t exist” and then charged €4.95 for the worst machine coffee I’ve ever had. When I said I felt extorted, the manager, in a raised, aggressive voice, told me not to use that language with him. Completely ripped off and spoken down to. Avoid this place at all costs.
Eben V — Google review
We visited their Paris branch and had a wonderful time there but we were a bit disappointed with the food and the ambiance. The serving size, to our surprise, was noticeably less generous than was in Paris store. The serving plate was a bit smudgy. Though it was understandably beyond servers’ control, certain diners talked loudly while we were in there.

Lovely spot in the shade overlooking the local market. We had a delicious breakfast with Turkish Eggs and the breakfast bowl. Special note for the great (decaf!) cappuccino.

Maison Weibel is a renowned establishment that has been serving artful French pastries, tarts, tea, sandwiches, and breakfast since 1954. The patisserie is known for its expertise passed down through generations and its commitment to detail and quality. Visitors can savor their pastries, calissons, artisanal ice creams, and chocolates in the elegant setting of their tearoom or opt for takeout.
Weibel is my favorite patisserie in Aix en Provence. Their morning pastries were very good and I tried multiple pastries each afternoon during my visit. You can select few mini pastries to try more. My favorite was Paris Brest and Frasier- since strawberries were in season. Excellent people watching .

Very nice place for lunch. Good croque and great pastries. Coffee was nice as well as the citron pressée 🍋 Café is centrally located so easy to use as a quick pit stop for lunch or a snack.
Hannah — Google review
One of the best pastry and lunch spot in town. Whenever I visit Aix en Provence, I have to pass by this little place. Always crowded and sometimes you will have to wait from 10-15min to order, but trust me it’s worth it ! The only thing I don’t like about this place is that it’s just too narrow, so when it’s crowded, you don’t really know where to stand. But beside all that, love their pastries and the food ! Definitely should try at least once !
Nguyen T — Google review
A very pleasant experience and loved that the citronnade and iced tea had no sugar in allowing you to add to your taste. Attentive staff and the croissant was to die for. Recommend thoroughly!
Seb B — Google review
We have been here 2 times in a week. Super delicious the cakes and coffee to enjoy an lazy afternoon here. No other better option in this area.
Ricky L — Google review
Fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. Easily one of the best pastry shops in Provence.
Katy L — Google review
A very pretty and atmospheric spot in the old town. Their specialty is desserts - dessert menu is huge and really delicious! A perfect place for an afternoon tea or for a breakfast. I’m taking one star for the “mess” we have here often when sitting for food - some of the ingredients are sometimes missing and the quality of service could be improved. And be careful with planning a visit in a busy hour - the place is small and you may be unable to find a free table.

What a horrible place. Horrible service. Horrible food. Horror coffee. Just disaster (we are still overwhelming by the stuff's behavior, disgusting).

The guest house Maison Jalon is a creative and stylish place with friendly and helpful hosts. It is close to Aix-en-Provence, an amazing small and lively city, with its gorgeous bays. The guest house also has beautiful gardens and a pool lot.
Maison Jalon is beautiful. It’s exceptionally clean, well designed, and supported with excellent hosts. We unfortunately had to leave a day early due to personal reasons but Dimitri was very understanding. We wish we had the chance to stay longer and visit more of the region. We hope to be back and we recommend this accommodation to anyone!
Mark L — Google review
We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and each morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the garden when the weather allowed. We especially loved the spacious pool set in a well-kept garden—perfect for relaxing. The owners were fantastic: warm, friendly, and welcoming hosts. We’d be happy to come back and highly recommend staying here!
Irina W — Google review
We had such a great time at Maison Jalon! It was exactly what we were looking for – close enough to Aix-en-Provence to explore easily, yet peaceful, surrounded by nature, with the bonus of a pool and parking. The arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow, and Dimitri and Laetitia were so warm and welcoming, sharing fantastic tips and recommendations. The hotel’s design is playful, unique, and thoughtfully detailed in every corner. We’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
מאי ב — Google review
This is my second time staying at Maison Jalon. The property is stunning, amazing long pool and many options to relax and chill in the garden. The decor is charming with lots of attention to detail and design, rooms are quaint with everything you need along with your own balcony overlooking the garden. And for those hot days, like it was for us, there is A/C in the rooms. Latitia and Dimitri are lovely hosts and very helpful if you’re looking for tips on what to do. There is so much to see and do in the area so we prolonged our stay for a 3rd night. It’s only an 8 minute drive into Aix and we appreciated the tranquility of Maison Jalon away from the bustle and crowds after a day on the go.
FRank K — Google review
This was a lovely little stay just outside of Aix! The design of the property is very special. It felt laidback but polished. Easy parking. The rooms were so sweetly decorated and had all of the essentials, including nice soaps. Breakfast in the garden was beautiful and tasted amazing - our favorite was the croissant French toast with lavender honey!
Alexandra F — Google review
We had the perfect weekend here relaxing in the peaceful garden, laying by the pool & playing pétanque. The setting is incredible, and Dimitri & Laetitia were the most friendly hosts. Truly looking forward to coming back.
Sin S — Google review
It's a wonderful destination for 4 to 5 days to relax near Aix en Provence. Letitia and Dimitri are very friendly and caring, calm hosts. They show a great taste in the combination of cubist brutalist architecture that feels very clean, cozy and comfortable at the same time - together with a colorful interior design (partially Moroccan inspired) and very well laid out garden. The rooms are small, but don't feel that way given the full size window and the large balcony with an astonishing view across the garden and pool. The breakfast is delicious (esp. the freshly baked croissants), but does not have fromage or viande (we didn't miss them). The garden and pool allow you to relax. If you get bored, you can play ping pong or boule. Aix en Provence is just 15min away by car and there are plenty of other things to see nearby. When you come with a low car, the last 100m on the dirt road approaching Maison Jalon are a bit challenging, but manageable. It's definitely a 5 star recommendation and we would gladly be coming back.
Francis T — Google review
My wife and I spent four nights here at the end of August. We stayed in the Romantique suite on the second floor and it was very nice. Good bed, linens and nice little deck with a view to the property. The decoration is very unique, it feels like every piece was hand picked. It really isn’t a hotel, it’s a room in their home! Dmitry and Leticia are very gracious hosts. Breakfast was very good, with a very memorable croissant pain perdu! The pool area was very nice as well. This is a perfect spot close enough to Aix but in the countryside. Highly recommended!

We had a beautiful outdoor lunch at Gaodina in August and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The setting was peaceful and elegant, perfect for enjoying the Provence sunshine with a glass of rosé. Hôtel Le Pigonnet 5 étoiles is a chic and historic lodging nestled in the enchanting gardens of an 18th-century manor house. Located just a short walk from Aix-en-Provence's city center, this stylish hotel offers modernly decorated rooms within buildings dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel exceeded all expectations — from the warm welcome at check-in to the spotless, beautifully decorated rooms. The staff were incredibly courteous and always ready to help. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, luxury, and great hospitality.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ We stayed at this hotel for three nights and overall had a great experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained — clean, lush, and truly inviting. It’s clear the hotel takes pride in its appearance and ambiance. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and perfectly functioning air-conditioning, which was appreciated during the warm days. We requested a fan for white noise while sleeping, and the staff brought one up very promptly — excellent service. While we didn’t dine at the restaurant, we did try the homemade ice cream by the chef, which was fantastic. That said, for a hotel of this caliber and price point, I feel a small gesture like offering one scoop per guest per day would go a long way. It’s not about the cost — just the gesture. Charging for it felt a bit off-brand for a five-star property. The hotel recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, and the renovations they’ve done are tasteful and elevate the whole experience while keeping the charm of the original property. The gym is quite small — really only comfortable for one or two people at a time — but if you go during a quiet period, you can still get a decent workout in. As for the location, it was ideal for us. A peaceful and private setting, yet only about a 20–25 minute walk to town, which made everything easily accessible without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. A few small tweaks would elevate the experience even more, but it’s a lovely place to stay and well worth a visit.
Dave E — Google review
My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon and it was absolutely beautiful. The service was impeccable- especially by the pool given the server had to keep going back to the hotel to get our drinks. The gardens were breathtaking. As it was our honeymoon, the hotel had a bottle of champagne as a gift in our room which was a wonderful gesture. We enjoyed a before dinner drink in the lobby bar. The best part of our trip was the dinner we had at the hotel- I cannot recommend the restaurant enough! A short walk to the center of town, this was such a relaxing part of our stay.
Elizabeth B — Google review
The management and staff were first class. It would be nice to see the pool side bar be expanded in its service. The garden is exquisitely maintained. We had a lovely time, as always, staying at Le Pigonnet. Our every need was met with professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you.
Sandrella M — Google review
I hate leaving a bad review for such a beautiful hotel, however, we tried to stay here for our honeymoon, and sadly had to leave for several reasons and cancel our stay. Upon arrival, we were not warned that the air conditioning was broken on our side of the building. My husband got sick and we had to spend the night in a room with no A/C while he was sick. Then we tried to shower but were met with no refilled shampoo or body wash. We also ordered room service for my husband and they never came to pick it up, even after calling to let them know we were done. I’m sorry to be leaving this review, but I would not rate this hotel 5 stars. We found a hotel about 20 mins away that we loved instead.
Annamarie M — Google review
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful pool and garden. Unfortunately, we found the service both at the pool and in the restaurant to be inexperienced and inattentive. For us a no go at a 5 star hotel that charges 22 € for a Prosecco or 25 € for a Corsican sausage. There is definitely room for improvement here. We wouldn’t go here for another stay under this conditions. Value for money is definitely not worth it.
Marc K — Google review
Went for an event- music in the gardens, it was raining so understandably wasn’t able to be in the gardens. However, the vibe wasn’t great , we were sat at a table where we couldn’t even see the musicians. Was a ticketed event that we paid a decent amount of money for and just ended up having a drink and leaving. It wasn’t terrible, just not a lot of effort was made to make the event still nice despite the weather.

Dated and dirty. Gardens dry and not maintained at all - it’s worse than a homeless dump. No amenities. Some kind of parody for luxury small hotels. Unsure how they earned membership in the chain….. we were checked in to the room we did not book for unknown reasons. Do not recommend staying here.

La Petite Ferme is an upscale restaurant located in Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde, just 6 km from Aix-en-Provence. Despite its rustic name, the restaurant offers a stylish and contemporary dining experience. The owner, Ronan Kernen, who won Top Chef in 2011, draws inspiration from his childhood in Brittany and the seafood of Provence to create a menu filled with nostalgic dishes that take diners on a culinary journey.
We can’t say enough good things about La Petite Ferme! We photographed a welcome party there, and everything was just AMAZING. The food was absolutely delicious—every bite was a flavor explosion! The wine selection complemented everything perfectly. But what really stood out to me was the fantastic energy of the staff. They were so welcoming and made everyone feel right at home. If you’re looking for a spot in Aix-en-Provence, this is it! We can’t wait to go back! Peter and Veronika Photography

Nice outside dining area and good service. Food was great. We We went there with a family with two small kids and they were very accommodating. Great children's menu.

This place had been recommend to us by both hotels we had been staying at in the region so we figured we'd give it a try. The decor is beautiful and really makes one feel like you're on holidays. The food was rather underwhelming however. Some of the seafood in our seafood platter tasted like it had been frozen a little too long. The starters we had ordered were indeed a bit experimental but not yet polished.
G. L — Google review
Cannot recommend. We had the truffled egg and prawn entree. The truffled egg was too rich, essentially hard boiled eggs halved covered in truffle mayonnaise. There was nothing to cut through the richness. The prawns dish had no flavour, just breaded fried prawns with some salad. We shared the 350g steak. No one asked how we would like it to be cooked. We asked for medium rare and got rare. The steak was tough. The steak knives insufficient. They gave us the wrong side, mushrooms instead of salad. If you are gluten free - warning - the salad came with croutons without a thought, inspite of letting them know one is was gluten free. Overpriced and under delivered.

The food was exquisite! Presented beautifully, good portion sizes, creative combination of flavours and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was also great and very romantic. The service was subpar. The waiters were polite but not attentive enough and could do with more training to match what is expected of a restaurant of this calibre.

Had a lovely dinner tonight. Ordered the tuna tataki and the side salad, which was absolutely delicious. We also had the red snapper. I would prefer it be de-boned. French fries and mushrooms, which was also very good. Very cute restaurant. Very good service. I would definitely eat here again.

I'm not saying is a bad place but neither good. I didn't like much the food and service was quite slow. My main dish had some prawns but here where not fully pealed not the intestine removed (they usually do this in top end restaurant). They look better than it taste to be honest. Waited to pay a while and finally she came back and said to pay in the bar. Very unusual...

Such mega food. The food was just incredible. We sat near the meat kitchen where we could watch the two chefs busy cooking the different types of meats (fish, beef, prawns, etc...). The prawn entree was well balanced due to the perfectly cooked prawns providing elements of umami and the sauce with roasted pine nuts, butter and a hint of chin churi. We had the fillet mignon and foie gras which was amazing. The steak was cooked to medium rare throughout and retained all the succulent juices. The foie gras worked well with the steak as it enhanced the taste of it with every bite, not too overwhelming. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Unfortunately we are not fluent in French but they were able to help us with English menus and service. Overally, excellent experience and wish our itinerary allowed us to go again!

Original recipes and wonderful food and service. Highlights included the Crayfish ceviche. One of the tastiest ceviches I’ve ever had! The pomme dauphinois was a light and delicious potato dish. The desserts were also delectable.

We enjoyed the steak - it was a tasty piece of beef and cooked to our liking. The waiter, Julian, was informative, friendly and eager to help. He allowed us to try the wines by the glass before we ordered. The restaurant was not busy on the night we visited, so I think the staff had more time to interact than normal. It was a pleasant experience, and better than we expected from a hotel restaurant. Thank you :)

We thought it would be a more upscale dining experience, it wasn’t. So comparing our expectations to the reality, this is our rating.

The restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. Shout out to the chef for the incredible dishes, and to the entire staff for their professionalism and warm hospitality. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we walked in. And of course, I have to give a special mention to Mariana — her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine warmth made our visit even more memorable. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful brunch experience in Aix-en-Provence, look no further than Betty's Resto by House Cookies. This charming little spot is a true hidden gem, where cozy ambiance meets mouthwatering flavors. The menu features an array of freshly baked muffins, cookies, and scones—available in classic or cinnamon-raisin varieties—served with delectable homemade jams and a touch of demi-sel butter.
Tasty food, great portions and very friendly service! Great ambience, very cool decorations on the walls inspired by America (I felt like I was transported to the States!). I enjoyed the music too. A very relaxed patio to enjoy the meal, in the sunshine, was the cherry on top! Recommended!

Great food, very fresh, creative and surprising. Very good service, friendly and English speakers. Very big portions that include various small dishes such as a really good salad (with surprises such as edamame and berries ) rich fruit salad, yummy purre and more. Cute decorations, American dinner vibe. Highly recommended!

Betty's Resto is a nice little reminder of home-cooked American breakfast food, but with a splash of Mediterranean flavor and style added to it. The restaurant has a nostalgic 'Oldies' feeling to it with similar music and interior decorations. Overall, I would recommend the experience !

Lovely place with authentic Americana memorabilia. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and great food. The ultimate hidden gem in Aix-en-Provence. If you like cozy, fresh, well portioned brunches this is THE place to go to, the décoration, the music, the mood and of course the food is to die for, from the street you'd think it's this small bakery shop, but step inside and go all the way in to reach the hidden patio. The owner is super nice, took great care of us even though she was alone to cook, serve and receive clients at the time. The experience is that of all the senses. I definitely recommend this place.

The Absolute Best Brunch in Aix-en-Provence! As someone who lives in the heart of Aix and appreciates quality food, I can confidently say that Betty's is by far the best brunch experience in the entire city. What sets Betty's apart is their deep commitment to local and seasonal sourcing. You can taste the difference! The menu changes daily because the team buys all the fruits and vegetables from the local markets every morning, ensuring everything is peak-season fresh. For fellow vegetarians, this commitment to produce is a true game-changer, it makes every dish vibrant and exciting. The service is equally exceptional. Every staff member is welcoming, genuinely nice, and makes you feel right at home. You might notice that your food takes a little longer to arrive, but this is a feature, not a flaw. It’s immediately clear that each plate is made with care and love, not rushed. Betty's is more than just a meal; it's a celebration of fresh ingredients and true culinary passion. I simply cannot recommend this place enough, it is a mandatory stop for anyone visiting or living in Aix.

An absolute delight and a rare find! Took us a dozen restaurants to find 100% seasonal and fresh ingredients. The menu even changes every day accordingly! So I highly doubt anything could taste bland as I read in another review... indeed - no artificial over-sugar industrial food. Chicken salad was amazing as well as the eggs. Enjoy!

A bit pricey but... My dining experience was an absolute delight, deserving of a full five stars! Every dish presented was not only visually appealing but also a true culinary masterpiece. The salad with crispy fried chicken was a revelation. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a golden, crunchy exterior, beautifully complemented by the fresh greens, generous shavings of Parmesan, and a wonderfully creamy dressing. It was a hearty yet refined dish. The hot dog-liked chicken, was another standout. Nestled on a bed of what appeared to be a rich, herbed sauce and served with perfectly golden, crispy fries, it offered a satisfying and flavorful experience. For those who appreciate fresh ingredients, the burrata and tomato salad was simply divine. The creamy burrata, paired with what looked like heritage tomatoes, pine nuts, and a vibrant green pesto, was a testament to simplicity done right. The grissini added a lovely textural contrast. The savory tart or gratin, served with fresh mozzarella and a crisp salad, was a comforting and flavorful dish. The rich, herby filling and the delicate anchovies on top created a complex and utterly delicious bite. This is my favorite! Finally, the burger was a magnificent creation. A thick, juicy patty, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and melted cheese, all encased in a perfectly toasted bun – it was a classic executed to perfection. Each bite was incredibly satisfying. Overall, the meal was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, showcasing high-quality ingredients and skillful preparation. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for an unforgettable dining experience!

We tried Faubourg 46 based on the wide variety of offerings on the menu, the fact they were open at the times we needed a proper meal, and the Google reviews we read on the fly. The service was very pleasant, prompt and accommodating. The food was exactly as we were expecting from a highly rated establishment. So tasty, filling and specialty meals with the Faubourg 46. Scenery is nice being adjacent to a beautiful thermal fountain. Thank you!!

Saturday and Sunday brunch is served buffet-style, with a huge selection of hot and cold dishes. You can have the classic eggs, bacon and multiple types of sausage; and you can also go with a continental selection of meats and cheeses (a delicious truffle cheese, and Comté). There was also cereal, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, pancakes and ice cream. If you want coffee, you can order at the bar. It’s difficult to make your way through everything, but we gave it our best shot! At €32 per person it’s on the more expensive side, but worth it for the quality and variety you get.
Kahmen — Google review
I got the Prix Fixe menu option, which was very helpful. The main course I had was their house Cordon Bleu, which was good, but not as good as the appetizer or dessert, which were sublime. Many people smoking, which ruined the atmosphere for me, but otherwise was great!
Jen G — Google review
The brunch buffet was decent but not too different from what you’d get at a hotel breakfast buffet, so a bit overpriced. I asked for a drink menu and was told to ask the bartender and, probably because of the language barrier and lack of an actual menu, was misled into believing drinks were included. Would have been nice to see an actual menu to avoid confusion.
Kirst — Google review
Sitting at the restaurant now - food: ordered the ribeye steak, got a tough cheap sirloin at best. Ordered a burger med-well, got a raw burger. Sent burger back and they disassembled it, cooked the burger more and then reassembled the original burger - total mess. Ordered an old fashioned and got the most watered-down old fashioned ever. I understand it’s not a French drink, but it was on their menu, so they should know how to make one. Atmosphere: shoeing flies away through entire meal. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Château de Fonscolombe is a grand hotel located in a restored 18th-century castle surrounded by a park with ancient trees. As a member of Relais & Chateaux, it offers a welcoming atmosphere akin to that of a family home, featuring historic lounges, reading rooms, game salons, and art galleries. The rooms are adorned with abundant natural light and luxurious materials such as intricate woodwork, rare fabrics, and marble and wood bathrooms.
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversy. Overall the experience was outstanding, from the moment we arrived until we left we had an amazing time. The property itself is beautiful, the rooms are well decorated and comfortable, the dinner at l’Orangerie was incredible and the breakfast was well prepared. What really made our stay special was the staff. I had made a note in our reservation about our wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make our celebration a memorable one. We plan to return in the future.
Heather J — Google review
Dinner wasn’t great and the breakfast was so basic I taught I was in a Francise hotel. All the staff are not on the same page and we kept telling us different stories. We checked in late but the receptionist said we had time to make it for dinner. Another member said we cannot. We did make it in time and then had to wait over an hour. There was about 5 other tables, who already had food. Same with breakfast. Asked about eggs and they are supplemented (extra for fried) Another told us we can order and they’ll cook. Like how do you get this basic stuff wrong. 50% of the time. Bad training. I good management accountable. Grounds are beautiful and place itself is amazing. Also a suggestion is to have a fridge for the room. You have these in standard hotels but not in a chateaux that’s 1k a night that’s absurd. Most people enjoy cold drinks. Easy stuff here

Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Staff was amazing: kind, helpful and always one step ahead of you to provide the best experience. The breakfast was delicious with mostly locally sourced foods. The hotels pledge to sustainability is visible in all aspects. Would 100% come back.

I had the amazing chance and opportunity to stay there a few days a few weeks ago and it was absolutely charming I spent one of the most wonderful weekend of my life All the employees were really careful, looking for any detail, making sure that me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay. The location is absolutely insane, and the food is delicious. Can’t wait to come back for another stay !!!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Château de Fonscolombe for a week, and words hardly do justice to the experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt as though I had stepped into another world—one of elegance, tranquility, and genuine hospitality. The grounds are nothing short of breathtaking: sprawling, lush, and perfectly maintained, offering a sense of peace and escape that is hard to find anywhere else. Walking among the massive cedar trees, I was transported back in time to my homeland, a deeply moving and grounding experience that made this estate feel even more special. Whether strolling through the gardens or relaxing by the 24/7 pool, I was surrounded by beauty at every turn. The housekeeping team was flawless—my room felt pristine and refreshed every single day, a true testament to their dedication and attention to detail. But what truly set my stay apart was the incredible hospitality. Every staff member radiated warmth, professionalism, and a sincere desire to make my stay perfect. A special mention must go to Liticia, who went above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. She not only ensured that I was always comfortable but also personally helped me navigate stressful and costly rental car issues. Her care, foresight, and dedication quite literally saved me more than once—and I will be forever grateful for her kindness. Equally noteworthy was the classy touch of the manager personally reaching out to me, reinforcing that sense of being genuinely cared for and valued as a guest. The 25/7 concierge service (yes, they truly feel like they never sleep!) was an invaluable luxury, always ready to assist with any request—no matter the hour. Combined with the estate’s timeless charm, ancient cedars, and flawless amenities, it created the feeling of having everything I could possibly need at my fingertips. One note to the hotel: The food options are pricy and did not change during my stay, which I understand. But a rotating menu could help this for guests staying more than a week. The food was good, just over priced. In short, Château de Fonscolombe is far more than a five-star hotel—it’s an experience, a sanctuary, and a memory I will treasure forever. If you are fortunate enough to stay here, you will be treated not just as a guest, but as family.

Besides being a beautiful and enchanting hotel, the employees make the biggest impact. Everyone is kind, attentive and 100% commited to offer an amazing experience. The restaurants are excellent, service second to none. We will definetly go back!

I’m here to thank the Fonscolombe staff. Specifically, Loic (sorry for spelling!) Traveling with our one-year old Cruz is daunting. His sleep is unpredictable, he’s loud at dinner and he’s moving nonstop! The Fonscolombe staff loved every second of it and Loic made such a great effort to meet Cruz and make all of us comfortable. They had high chairs at dinner and a crib in the room with a bunch of goodies for him. The room had space for all of us and was quiet enough for him to nap and sleep at night. The highlight was our final dinner when the staff set us up a table under the tree away from everyone else so mom and dad could enjoy a nice, quiet dinner - the only one of our entire trip - while our little maniac Cruz played in the dirt. 10/5 stars Fonscolombe for families traveling with young kids. We will be back to Aix soon :)

A house with soul, where time stands still. This isn’t just a château, it’s a place where elegance, nature, and memory meet. The staff are kind and discreet, the rooms feel like they’ve always existed, and the goûter is simply unforgettable: chocolate mousse and île flottante just like your French grandmother might have made. The silence of the gardens, the timeless charm of the Pigeonnier… You come here to slow down, to breathe, to live fully

Service was not great. Staff were pretty rude, our coffee came spilled and the ice coffee without a straw. It was pricey. Ok. The one negative thing is out of the way. Great coffee, fresher squeezed orange juice, and too many delicious looking pastries. EXCELLENT brunch! My husband and I each had the eggs factor. Yum! Eggs were perfectly cooked and hashbrowns and truffle gouda were delicious. (Ate them so fast I forgot to take pics!) Some interesting items on the menu, like pulled pork pancakes. It's very small on the inside but there is sitting outside. Very busy but that's a good sign. Cafe lattes were also very good. Went here 4 days ago and had some of the best pancakes ever! The staff was so nice and the atmosphere was really chilled out. I also thought the prices were very reasonable - drinks (including a beer and a fresh smoothie), and 3 mains for 2 people was less that 55 euros. Be mindful that the kitchen closes at around 2-2.30 pm (dont know for how long) - we arrived just before this and the staff still made sure all our orders accommodated. Would definitely recommend when in AeP.

A very quirky French café and brasserie with a very, very long history. The prices are excellent 👌 and I recommend the Baignat or the Croque Monsieur/ Madame! The mannerisms of some of the waiters is just funny and tbh quirky. Don't believe half the stuff you read re: reviews. If you want to take pictures inside (particularly Les cigales ceramique!) and the interior- you should ask permission, they told me that people usually don't. One for the entomologists for sure!! Pretty authentic French bar. Orders are shouted by the servers to the kitchen the old school way. The whole place will know what you are ordering at your table The service was good specially that Le Grillon was pretty packed and people waiting for tables.

Stay away…The food and drinks were horrible. Pina Colada tasted like sink water. Asked to get something else and was told I had to still pay for the drink. The Bacon on the Club Sandwich was grey and eggs were green. Couldn’t eat it. The rest of the food didn’t have much taste. Decided to cut our losses and left. Wish I would have read the reviews… my bad.
Keith F — Google review
If you’ve had good food before, you’ll know the food here is bland, tasteless, and does not live up to French standard. Even the salt wasn’t salty. The silverware was not clean. I went through three since the first two had food remnants on them (see napkin in picture). There was also a piece of foil baked into my mozzarella that I bit into (see plate in picture). If it wasn’t for the fact that we were turned away from three different restaurants for not having reservations and having been very hungry from traveling all day, we wouldn’t have eaten here. The power also went out but that is normal. Lovely location. If you want edible, this is your choice. Or maybe for a quick drink?

The restaurants located on Cours Mirabeau are not just the places to eat but are the representation of what Aix en Provence provide as an culinary experience. One will expect the same with such a quality experience. This was not the case when I visited the Bar Le Grillon. We just had the café Gourmand and tarte de pomme. It was not at all tasty. Not fresh, not well prepared and not well presented.

Hôtel Birdy by HappyCulture is a pet-friendly hotel that warmly welcomes furry companions of all sizes for a reasonable fee. The rooms are modern, well-decorated, and comfortable, offering complimentary amenities like unlimited mineral water and croissants. Additionally, the hotel provides dog baskets in the rooms to ensure the comfort of pets.
I spent a weekend at Hôtel Birdy by HappyCulture, and it was such a nice getaway! The hotel has a cool, modern vibe with a bit of a tropical twist. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome right away. The room I stayed in was spacious and really comfy, with a lovely balcony where I could just chill and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a quiet morning coffee. The restaurant was a real treat too. The food was fresh and delicious, and there were plenty of options to choose from. The relaxed and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant made it even better. I would love to return there in the summer, they have a pool you can lounge by, if you’re looking for a place to unwind. I’d definitely recommend Hôtel Birdy.

Very nice hotel giving the feeling of going close to nature. I like the garden area with trees, feeling calm all the time relaxing there. Staff services are very good. I arrived earlier and they helped me on early checkin.
Siauhwa T — Google review
Mixed feelings about hotel birdy, overall the pool is quite nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The soaps (Nuxe) provided are amazing quality and the hotel is nicely decorated. This place is decent for a one night stay! I would like to point out that the hotel staff/service are super helpful and kind and made the hotel experience very nice and comforting. Especially the day time service, one lady at the night time service was not as helpful, but everybody else was great. My biggest points of complaints go to management, not service: - Someone at 8 am was drilling and hammering work upstairs above the rooms which is unacceptable on a saturday morning. (It was apparently an emergency but morning construction should still be avoided for future guests) - My pillow had a small stain - We booked the VIP experience, but it would have been better with more alcoholic beverages included as we only received one each. - Some of the displayed times are misleading. Example: the elevator poster says 8:30 pool closure when the hotel says 8.

Great Hotel. We stayed for 3 nights as a family. Room is spacious and the pool area is great - also lots of games indoors and outside. Staff is friendly and breakfast is great. We especially loved their Nutella machine! Small downside - the fridge in the room doesn't get really cold enough.

A beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the golf course. The room is spacious and clean. Love the environmentally friendly concept of the hotel. The location is a bit off from the center but if you have a car this should not be an issue as it is only 15 mins away.

Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. Location is excellent. Rooms are large, and very clean. Breakfast is excellent. Good parking place. Good internet connection. We highly recommend :-)

This is a wonderful hotel with positive vibes. It is a calm and rejuvenating hotel, and we left feeling well rested. There is a variety of drinks available in the lobby at all times and the staff are welcoming and responsive. The breakfast was great, and there was even a machine to grind your own Nutella. One staff member who stands out for being helpful was a smiley gentleman who was working during the afternoons. He helped our family have the best vacation possible. Un immense merci !
Madelein E — Google review
Room was very nice, but it had a tub shower that was not easy to get in and out of. Location was good, but if you want to spend time in Aix, it would be better to stay in Aix. However, Birdy has plenty of free parking, and hotels in Aix may not have either. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

Guests can indulge in the hotel's refined dining options at Atmosph'R restaurant, l'Avant Scene lounge bar, and the seasonal Palm's Pool Club.
We had a great stay at this hotel! The service was excellent, and the pool was a highlight perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The location is convenient, just a short walk to the town center, and valet parking made things very easy. The gym is quite basic, and the restaurants were not open for seating during our stay only for breakfast and dinner, although food was available at all times. Overall, a very comfortable hotel with friendly service very recommended!!
Ivan W — Google review
We had a delightful stay with our kiddo. Very helpful and friendly staff. Super accessible to the downtown pedestrian area. Nice pool and gym! Tricky vehicle entrance but otherwise fantastic.
Kiel B — Google review
It's about a 5 or 10 minutes walk to the touristic center of town (the fountain). The air conditioning didn't get as cold as we would have liked. The breakfasts were great, especially the sauteed local mushrooms which were excellent. Dinner wasn't that special. The concierge was very helpful and all staff very friendly and welcoming.
Gale — Google review
The hotel is in a great location you'll find excellent restaurants and shops nearby. There's also a big open market several days every week in the summer on the main drag in town. The hotel staff are great and there's a very nice pool that was renovated a few years ago. Prices for drinks and food at the hotel are ridiculously high so I recommend walking just a few minutes away. I do recommend the hotel, however.
Todd S — Google review
I had a very good stay overall. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, with large modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The pool was a nice extra, and the location is excellent – just a short walk to the center, with easy parking. Service was outstanding, especially the valet, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. On the downside, the breakfast buffet was a little weak for a Bonvoy five-star property. I missed a bit of variety and small specials like Eggs Benedict or pancakes. The gym was unfortunately far below standard, offering only a few cardio machines and very light weights. As a Platinum member, I was also disappointed that even with an upgrade voucher, no real upgrade was available. Overall, however, I’d be more than happy to return if I’m in the area again.
Danny — Google review
I walked two steps into the hallway with the fake cobblestone carpet and I knew I had been duped. 5 stars?? Not a chance. Went into the room, there was old take away rice stuck to the bench, balcony had chicken wire all around. Thankfully I had booked directly and they refunded me and I went to stay at an actual 5 star property. That was not before the manager yelled at me to tell me what wasn’t “5 star” about the property.
Stacey H — Google review
Catherine made our stay so memorable with her warm welcome, a wonderful note, and a scrumptious snack upon arrival. Marriott properties provide such great amenities and a consistently high standard of service. Thank you!
Jane P — Google review
We had a great stay in this hotel for two nights. The staff was very friendly at the arrival and helped us to rebook. The pool area was ok, and a little disapointing. The tables where not clean and with leftovers from the day before, the wather in the pool was not very clean either and nobody showered before entering the wather….The music was terrible and to loud. At the pool there should be calm and relaxing background music, especially in the morning. The people working in the pool area should also be a little more observant and less chatting and hanging in the bar when there are hotell guests waiting for help to get towels…. I will not grade this as a give star hotell based on otter five stars I’ve been to.

The stylish units feature understated elegance and are complemented by a modern art gallery within the premises. The central location allows for easy access to the town center, with popular attractions just a short walk away. Guests have praised the comfortable accommodations, spacious layout, and well-equipped kitchen facilities.
Maison Dauphine is in an excellent location, accessible to the highlights of the center of Aix. The apartment was lovely, well appointed, with comfortable bedding and towels, and a pleasant space to relax. We especially appreciated the breakfast with fresh bread daily. Veronique is very helpful and efficient, a lovely hostess. We highly recommend this apartment.

I love this place. Veronique at the reception is a real French lady who is full of hospitality. We had a big problem the night before we checked in at Maison Dauphine. She was so kind to give us an early check-in, though we can't always expect this offer. It helped us a lot. This building is a traditional French "Appartement." Very functional kitchen, living room, and bedroom. Bread, yogurt, peach juice, butter, and cheese are kindly delivered every day. It is a nice location to access the center of the city. Veronique hears our interest and tells us where to go with a map where she writes down the necessary information. We had a wonderful experience here!

Perfect location. About 3 mins slow walk to Cours Mirabeau. Very near yet in a quiet street. Beautiful apartment with all the necessary luxuries for a home. Gorgeous artwork and wall details. Really a must book. I think the only thing lacking is an elevator. But it won’t stop me from booking here again. Highly recommend this hotel.

My apartment at Maison Dauphine was just lovely! The room is well appointed and so comfortable. It is an easy walk to many restaurants and attractions. The extra touches such as Nespresso machine (for my early mornings), fresh milk, yogurt, cheese, and bread everyday made me feel well cared for. I highly recommend these accommodations.

The wonderful Maison Dauphine is located in the Mazarine district, a beautiful and quiet quarter of Aix, yet the town centre is within a short 2 mins walk. The building and the apartment (ours as on the third floor) is just beautiful and has a lovely charme. The apartment itself is immaculate, is much bigger than it looks ok the photos. A special shoutout to the interior decoration, which is stunning. You‘ve got everything you need - comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and room cleaning if needed. Thanks Véronique for making our stay a memorable one.

We had a wonderful stay at La Féraude. Our hosts, including Tango, the Swiss Shepherd, were so welcoming and helpful with information about visiting Provence. It was so peaceful relaxing in the garden area enjoying a gentle breeze on a hot summer’s day. We would love to stay again one day.

La Feraude was by far the best lodging experience over our 2 weeks traveling through France! The property was absolutely lovely and the owners were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and there were plentiful options. We were provided with amazing restaurant recommendations during our 4 night stay and the location of the property allowed us to easily travel to multiple sites in the Provence area, which the owners gave us a list of excellent recommendations wherever we went. I will definitely stay at La Feraude again when visiting the area!

Extremely welcoming , charming, characterful old building in beautiful grounds. The room decor is lovely; eclectic and very tasteful with large old windows and shutters. Fresh traditional French breakfast served on the patio with views of the avenue of trees, garden and the vineyard. Very comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable stay about 15 minutes drive from Aix-en-Provence

La Feraude is the realisation of the cliché I had in my head of the Provence for all these years. Philippe and Catherine and gracious hosts and do the best to make you feel at home and confortable. Sitting every morning in their garden eating their home made joghurt is worth it already in itself. Beautiful design. Beautiful place. Only 15 minutes drive from Aix en Provence

Do you want to stay somewhere that looks like a Paul Cézanne painting? Well, that is exactly what La Féraude looks like!! I have never seen a place more beautiful. The home! The gardens! The pool! Truly incredible!! Also, I've never felt more at home. Philip and Kate felt like family because they are so nice and welcoming and accommodating. The al fresco breakfasts every morning, the peaceful garden at night drinking wine, the comfortable bedroom...I did not want to leave. I am from the US, but I will be going back to Aix. Whenever I am there, I will stay at La Féraude. I miss it (and Kate and Philip) so much, and can't wait to stay there again.

Nestled in the heart of the Mazarin district, known for its numerous museums, MAISON DU COLLECTIONNEUR is a stylish guesthouse that exudes an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a private art gallery. Each of its 6 rooms is uniquely designed with contemporary art pieces and vibrant colors, drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Fornasetti and Madeleine Castaing.
Location is great, everything walkable. The staff very attentive and gave us many restaurant recommendations. Room very clean and comfortable. Quiet side street. Slept well. There are stairs, but they are very kind to help us with bags. So the stairs are not a problem. The art and general decor is fashionable and fun. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

More than a stay, an "experience". Came with another couple and had an amazing time in this old-city jewel. Silvio and Emma took such good care of us, even helping me in advance with a birthday champagne greeting for my wife and arranging a car service to our next destination. Take advantage of the beautiful courtyard and lobby for drinks with friends before exploring the city's nightlife and restaurant scene. As others have mentioned, there are stairs but the staff brought our luggage both up and down without hesitation. Right in the downtown. Need to know that your Uber can NOT drive to the front door, so have their WhatsApp handy to call and they meet you on a nearby street, a short walk away. Again, no need to lift a thing. Would absolutely recommend and return again.

Our daughter in law from Avignon discovered this wonderful guest house. It is situated on a quiet street in the center of the city, convenient to all the fine shops and restaurants. Our hosts were kind and hospitable. Our room was so comfortable, decorated tastefully with lovely views onto a beautiful courtyard. We slept well. Breakfast was excellent. Your visit to Provence must include a stop here. A memorable stay, for sure!

As everyone else says, this boutique art hotel, so unassuming from the outside, is very cute once you enter the red door. We had a spacious artfully decorated room with the Nespresso machine, fridge, good closet space, great wifi, etc. BUT note that there are no elevators - a big problem for my 83 yo mother - but not hotel’s fault. Also our room only had a bathtub, no shower - again, big issue for my mom and a bit difficult even for me too. However, the location is killer, walking distance to the super cute Old Town. We picked up our picnic stuff - bread, wine, rotisserie chicken, olives - at the nearby stores and enjoyed our lunch on their cute terrace. Most importantly, their staff is awesome. They have a washing machine…for FREE! Huge benefit after coming off a cruise. They even sent the clean clothes back to our room folded. Way above expectations.
Alan T — Google review
This is a very nice, comfortable, small hotel with, I think, six guest rooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated, including with a lot of interesting art collected (hence the name) by the owner. It is very nicely located just off the rue d’Italie in the historic residential district just south of the Cours Mirabeau, which is the main street and best place for orienting yourself in Aix. Even the street-side rooms are quite quiet. The people who run the place are remarkable—warm, helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient. It’s kind of like staying with friends of good friends, but with more fun people than usually found in that situation.
Tom M — Google review
Excellent place to stay. We arrived later than expected, and the host had waited for us (bear in mind that this is not a hotel and there isn't 24-h reception), and welcomed us with the greatest warmth and politeness. He was extremely kind and took our luggage up the three floors. In general, staff were absolutely lovely and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and with fantastic design. The location is great, in the elegant and calm Mazarin neighborhood. Our room was the loft and was lavishly decorated, just as the rest of the place. We only have very minor comments. There wasn't much space to keep our belongings in the bathroom or to lay things while getting ready. There isn't a lift and you may have to climb up to floor 3 or up some steps to the room's mezzanine. We also missed having a table to work and we could hear the neighbours quite easily. The decoration was lovely and original, with superb taste!

Incredible boutique gem in Aix! We stayed for 4 nights and were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff. Silvio greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel at home. The terrace is beautiful, we picnicked out there for lunch and had coffee every morning. Emma & Silvio helped us prepare our nespresso each morning to our liking and went above and beyond to make the stay great. The room was superb and refreshed daily. The staff was also extremely attentive with helping us make taxi reservations to the train station. The room is spacious and the location of the hotel is perfect and walkable to everything Old Town has to offer! We hope to be back to this small slice of Provence Paradise!!

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Aix! Rooms are spacious as well as have charm and character. Lots of fun art! We had a lovely view over the back garden, where we enjoyed a bottle of wine. The team is very kind and committed to everyone having a great stay. The only challenge is parking, but there is easy public parking that is a 5 min walk away and they shared with us the options before arriving. My parents loved this place as well!

(Translated by Google) Stayed for 2 nights in January. I was impressed by the kindness of the owner couple and the romantic atmosphere of the bedroom and bathroom in a quiet, rural neighborhood in southern France. There was plenty of space, including an auxiliary room. The scenery outside the window is especially picturesque at dawn. Breakfast was standard, but I enjoyed chatting with the owner. It was nice to take a leisurely 30-minute walk around the city. It's a good 40-minute trip to Chatado Behedong Valley. I was once again impressed by the homemade cake the lady gave me. Anyway, it was a good value for money accommodation to enjoy the steamy southern France. Even though there should not be eggs, tomatoes nor crispy chicken (it should be grilled), the salade de croustillans de poulet façon céser was incredible! The chicken was super juicy and flavored. Also, great cost benefit for the region - it was €13,9 for a lot of food. Definitely a go! :)

Came here for lunch. Food was so good and everything was very authentic! Would highly recommend if you are in Aix.
Elizabeth F — Google review
Generally poor service (the waiter was practically alone for the whole place and is surely not to blame). However, the drinks came after the food, and the food was of low quality - salad mostly croutons with few greens that tasted old, the bread was already hard. Afterwards, the check came unasked before we finished our drinks, which was really rude. For drinks only, the place may be okay, but don't eat there.
Bilgin O — Google review
Worst service ever experienced in France. Two times being replaced, because we shouldn't occupy a lunch table, then the boss refused service at all, AFTER we had placed an order of drinks of roundabout 25 euro. Unaccaptable behaviour, so we left. If you want to be treated like scum, that's your place. If you want to experience real french hospitality, go anywhere else.
Joerg K — Google review
Nice place to have an appetizer. It is a modest place but convenient and not as expensive as the bars at Cour Mirabeau. The guests are normal tourists and some locals. The tourists who want to spent a lot of money and want to show their new outfit are not the here.

Columbus Café & Co is a coffee shop with an Americanized atmosphere, similar to Starbucks. It offers a variety of fresh salads, filled baguettes, toasted paninis and bagels, as well as muffins made on the premises. The staff is friendly and English-speaking. It's popular among students and provides a good spot for getting work done or studying while enjoying coffee and tasty treats.

The student menu is great, good price to products ratio; good quality; their steak ciabatta is really nice and i love their white hot chocolate
Resensie — Google review
Overpriced and underwhelming. The allongee was below par and came in a paper cup, the so called 'english muffin' was very small and had some sort of overly sweet chutney in it but was tasteless apart from that. Price for both was almost 8 euro, which is shocking to see as this is a chain so I at least expected something on the cheaper side. Far nicer and better value food and drink is available at Aix's numerous independents: its a no brainer. In addition, I came to work but the wifi required a lengthy email sign up which resulted in an awful network connection which couldnt even load a webpage. 2 stars because the service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere upstairs fairly nice.

I like the place, and the vibe is really cool, but the service is anything but friendly. The girl who works there has been rude to me several times whenever I ask for something. From the looks she gives to the way she serves. At first, I thought it was just me, but I noticed she treats other customers way nicer. It was obvious I wasn’t getting the same treatment, which made me feel pretty unwelcome. Plus, I was called ‘ma’am’ instead of ‘sir.’ I thought I was imagining it, but someone else heard it too. Even if it was meant as a joke by the owner, it definitely wasn’t funny. Definitely not going there anymore !

Stumbled across this cafe after stopping into the Chapelle Granet exhibition. Service was exceptional, my grilled cheese came out promptly with a delicious side salad and atmosphere was very relaxed. Cappuccino was 3,50 euros and grilled cheese was only 5,00 euros! Recommend for a mid day break :)

This is my favorite spot in all of Aix-en-Provence. Highly recommend for students and those in a study abroad program. The staff is all fluent in English and very friendly, but they will let you practice your French if you’d prefer to challenge yourself! The coffee is also some of the best had here. The food menu is small, but consistently good. Beyond that, you will find a lot of things that other cafes don’t readily offer such as complimentary water, wifi, outlets, and public restrooms. They also have a loyalty program if you become a regular like I did.

I was here all of 30 minutes before being thrown out. Owner maintained there were people downstairs waiting to eat. Nobody came up to look for a table or was ordering downstairs. Person two rows behind me had also ordered a drink and was studying there long before I was. I would at least merit an apology or an explanation that wasn’t a blatant lie. Really not worth visiting. I find the staff to be generally unfriendly each time I visit but needless to say I won’t be back after I was targeted today.

Really great frappe (3,50€). You can choose how much milk and sugar you want (less milk is very similar to a refreshing iced coffee) and if you take away it's served in a nice recyclable cup. They have several other beverages and the employees are very friendly. There wasn't an outside sitting area when we came but we just sat down on the stairs of the church just across. Definitely recommend this place!

(Translated by Google) So, fasten your seatbelts, because this culinary experience was a true journey... back in time. After an hour of waiting that seemed like an eternity (I almost grew a beard), I was promised fries, but I got the impression they were made with wood chips. The croque-monsieurs looked like they came straight from a 1970s factory, with their industrial bread. This was only a taste, because the service was so nonexistent that I had to get up to get the menus, and then to ask for our desserts. The staff didn't crack a single smile; it was like we were bothering them. And the bill? A masterpiece! 54 euros for two croque-monsieurs, a bagel, and two drinks. A total rip-off. If you're looking for a place to waste time, money, and your good mood, this is the place for you. Otherwise, move on! I’ve been here several times over the last couple weeks and absolutely loved each visit! The staff is extremely pleasant & kind, and the lattes, juices, & hot chocolate are absolutely delicious!
