Guest house
Nestled in the heart of the Mazarin district, known for its numerous museums, MAISON DU COLLECTIONNEUR is a stylish guesthouse that exudes an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a private art gallery. Each of its 6 rooms is uniquely designed with contemporary art pieces and vibrant colors, drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Fornasetti and Madeleine Castaing.
Location is great, everything walkable. The staff very attentive and gave us many restaurant recommendations. Room very clean and comfortable. Quiet side street. Slept well. There are stairs, but they are very kind to help us with bags. So the stairs are not a problem. The art and general decor is fashionable and fun. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

More than a stay, an "experience". Came with another couple and had an amazing time in this old-city jewel. Silvio and Emma took such good care of us, even helping me in advance with a birthday champagne greeting for my wife and arranging a car service to our next destination. Take advantage of the beautiful courtyard and lobby for drinks with friends before exploring the city's nightlife and restaurant scene. As others have mentioned, there are stairs but the staff brought our luggage both up and down without hesitation. Right in the downtown. Need to know that your Uber can NOT drive to the front door, so have their WhatsApp handy to call and they meet you on a nearby street, a short walk away. Again, no need to lift a thing. Would absolutely recommend and return again.

Our daughter in law from Avignon discovered this wonderful guest house. It is situated on a quiet street in the center of the city, convenient to all the fine shops and restaurants. Our hosts were kind and hospitable. Our room was so comfortable, decorated tastefully with lovely views onto a beautiful courtyard. We slept well. Breakfast was excellent. Your visit to Provence must include a stop here. A memorable stay, for sure!

As everyone else says, this boutique art hotel, so unassuming from the outside, is very cute once you enter the red door. We had a spacious artfully decorated room with the Nespresso machine, fridge, good closet space, great wifi, etc. BUT note that there are no elevators - a big problem for my 83 yo mother - but not hotel’s fault. Also our room only had a bathtub, no shower - again, big issue for my mom and a bit difficult even for me too. However, the location is killer, walking distance to the super cute Old Town. We picked up our picnic stuff - bread, wine, rotisserie chicken, olives - at the nearby stores and enjoyed our lunch on their cute terrace. Most importantly, their staff is awesome. They have a washing machine…for FREE! Huge benefit after coming off a cruise. They even sent the clean clothes back to our room folded. Way above expectations.

This is a very nice, comfortable, small hotel with, I think, six guest rooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated, including with a lot of interesting art collected (hence the name) by the owner. It is very nicely located just off the rue d’Italie in the historic residential district just south of the Cours Mirabeau, which is the main street and best place for orienting yourself in Aix. Even the street-side rooms are quite quiet. The people who run the place are remarkable—warm, helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient. It’s kind of like staying with friends of good friends, but with more fun people than usually found in that situation.

Excellent place to stay. We arrived later than expected, and the host had waited for us (bear in mind that this is not a hotel and there isn't 24-h reception), and welcomed us with the greatest warmth and politeness. He was extremely kind and took our luggage up the three floors. In general, staff were absolutely lovely and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and with fantastic design. The location is great, in the elegant and calm Mazarin neighborhood. Our room was the loft and was lavishly decorated, just as the rest of the place. We only have very minor comments. There wasn't much space to keep our belongings in the bathroom or to lay things while getting ready. There isn't a lift and you may have to climb up to floor 3 or up some steps to the room's mezzanine. We also missed having a table to work and we could hear the neighbours quite easily. The decoration was lovely and original, with superb taste!

Incredible boutique gem in Aix! We stayed for 4 nights and were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff. Silvio greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel at home. The terrace is beautiful, we picnicked out there for lunch and had coffee every morning. Emma & Silvio helped us prepare our nespresso each morning to our liking and went above and beyond to make the stay great. The room was superb and refreshed daily. The staff was also extremely attentive with helping us make taxi reservations to the train station. The room is spacious and the location of the hotel is perfect and walkable to everything Old Town has to offer! We hope to be back to this small slice of Provence Paradise!!

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Aix! Rooms are spacious as well as have charm and character. Lots of fun art! We had a lovely view over the back garden, where we enjoyed a bottle of wine. The team is very kind and committed to everyone having a great stay. The only challenge is parking, but there is easy public parking that is a 5 min walk away and they shared with us the options before arriving. My parents loved this place as well!

The guest house Maison Jalon is a creative and stylish place with friendly and helpful hosts. It is close to Aix-en-Provence, an amazing small and lively city, with its gorgeous bays. The guest house also has beautiful gardens and a pool lot.
Maison Jalon is beautiful. It’s exceptionally clean, well designed, and supported with excellent hosts. We unfortunately had to leave a day early due to personal reasons but Dimitri was very understanding. We wish we had the chance to stay longer and visit more of the region. We hope to be back and we recommend this accommodation to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and each morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the garden when the weather allowed. We especially loved the spacious pool set in a well-kept garden—perfect for relaxing. The owners were fantastic: warm, friendly, and welcoming hosts. We’d be happy to come back and highly recommend staying here!
Irina W — Google review
We had such a great time at Maison Jalon! It was exactly what we were looking for – close enough to Aix-en-Provence to explore easily, yet peaceful, surrounded by nature, with the bonus of a pool and parking. The arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow, and Dimitri and Laetitia were so warm and welcoming, sharing fantastic tips and recommendations. The hotel’s design is playful, unique, and thoughtfully detailed in every corner. We’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
מאי ב — Google review
This is my second time staying at Maison Jalon. The property is stunning, amazing long pool and many options to relax and chill in the garden. The decor is charming with lots of attention to detail and design, rooms are quaint with everything you need along with your own balcony overlooking the garden. And for those hot days, like it was for us, there is A/C in the rooms. Latitia and Dimitri are lovely hosts and very helpful if you’re looking for tips on what to do. There is so much to see and do in the area so we prolonged our stay for a 3rd night. It’s only an 8 minute drive into Aix and we appreciated the tranquility of Maison Jalon away from the bustle and crowds after a day on the go.
FRank K — Google review
This was a lovely little stay just outside of Aix! The design of the property is very special. It felt laidback but polished. Easy parking. The rooms were so sweetly decorated and had all of the essentials, including nice soaps. Breakfast in the garden was beautiful and tasted amazing - our favorite was the croissant French toast with lavender honey!
Alexandra F — Google review
We had the perfect weekend here relaxing in the peaceful garden, laying by the pool & playing pétanque. The setting is incredible, and Dimitri & Laetitia were the most friendly hosts. Truly looking forward to coming back.
Sin S — Google review
It's a wonderful destination for 4 to 5 days to relax near Aix en Provence. Letitia and Dimitri are very friendly and caring, calm hosts. They show a great taste in the combination of cubist brutalist architecture that feels very clean, cozy and comfortable at the same time - together with a colorful interior design (partially Moroccan inspired) and very well laid out garden. The rooms are small, but don't feel that way given the full size window and the large balcony with an astonishing view across the garden and pool. The breakfast is delicious (esp. the freshly baked croissants), but does not have fromage or viande (we didn't miss them). The garden and pool allow you to relax. If you get bored, you can play ping pong or boule. Aix en Provence is just 15min away by car and there are plenty of other things to see nearby. When you come with a low car, the last 100m on the dirt road approaching Maison Jalon are a bit challenging, but manageable. It's definitely a 5 star recommendation and we would gladly be coming back.

My wife and I spent four nights here at the end of August. We stayed in the Romantique suite on the second floor and it was very nice. Good bed, linens and nice little deck with a view to the property. The decoration is very unique, it feels like every piece was hand picked. It really isn’t a hotel, it’s a room in their home! Dmitry and Leticia are very gracious hosts. Breakfast was very good, with a very memorable croissant pain perdu! The pool area was very nice as well. This is a perfect spot close enough to Aix but in the countryside. Highly recommended!

Nestled in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, Appart’hôtel - Villa Zola offers a serene retreat for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. This charming bed and breakfast features air-conditioned accommodations that ensure a pleasant atmosphere even during the warmest days. Guests can enjoy a delightful breakfast featuring local cheeses and fresh bread sourced from nearby markets, perfect for starting your day on a tasty note. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by Eric, who goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
I thought this place was great! I was worried when I first arrived as it looked edgy, but I called the number on the door and in a minute, the owner greeted me and led me to my room. He made sure i was safely parked, helped me orient myself, and in general bent over backwards to be sure I had a good stay. The room was exceptionally clean and well appointed (coffee machine, fridge, stove, a/c) the place is 50 meters from the entrance to the old city, so you are always close to that if you are here as a tourist, etc. I thought this was one of the best deals of my 30 day visit to this part of the world. Small grocery adjacent is handy and at least twenty places to eat within a three minute walk. Great location, clean spacious suite, great price, great host. Don’t let the front door scare you off.

Nothing is missing on site. Everything is done to make you feel at home. The location is extraordinary. We were able to tour the old town on foot. We even had the luxury of parking our car on the property. Eric provided very good advice and recommendations regarding activities to do around. We will come back very soon. Please note that there is only one parking space, so plan to reserve in advance if you wish because parking is expensive in the surrounding area and free spaces are far away. I have to return to Aix in a few months and I already know that I will return to this aparthotel. (Original) Appartement très agréable. Refait a neuf et bien équipé. Eric est également de très bon conseil, arrangeant et agréable. Je dois retourner à Aix dans quelques mois et je sais déjà que je reviendrai dans cet appart'hotel.

(Translated by Google) Very nice and well-equipped apartment in an ideal location! The fully equipped holiday apartment was completely renovated and newly furnished in 2020 with a large shower, cooking facilities, microwave and TV. Ideal for 2-4 people who don't just want to eat in restaurants and bakeries and also value modern, high-quality furnishings. The host Eric is always available to help and is happy to give tips for exploring in and around Aix-en-Provence. The apartment is very well located, right on the edge of the old center of Aix-en-Provence and therefore within walking distance to bakeries, cafes, bars, weekly market (3-4/week), supermarket and sights. By car or bike you can be on the outskirts of the city (in the direction of St. Victoire) and in nature in just a few minutes. Two more holiday apartments will be built in the house by the beginning of 2021. The garage (1 parking space) can be used upon request. This is particularly helpful so close to the center.

Château de la Gaude is an impressive 18th-century estate that has been completely renovated and transformed into a polished hotel. The property offers 14 rooms and suites with a blend of contemporary style and original architecture, including marble bathrooms and modern furnishings. Guests can also enjoy the new spa with an outdoor pool, a brasserie, wine cellar, and vineyard on the premises.
This was our second time staying at Château de la Gaude and it is a beautiful place. Both times we stayed in the unique “unusual rooms”, which feel like luxury glamping. The grounds are stunning and the entire property has a refined, contemporary feel. We ate at Le K and it was well worth the visit. While the decor might be cooler and trendier than we are, the food and service were outstanding. Overall, love the place and we will be back.
Ricardo T — Google review
Château de la Gaude is undeniably a beautiful property — the grounds and gardens are stunning, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and elegant. We especially enjoyed dining at Le K, which was a highlight of the stay. Fanny, our hostess, was incredibly warm and attentive, taking time to walk us through the restaurants and introduce the facilities. We also appreciated the vineyard tour and seeing the grape harvest in action. That said, while the property is impressive, the room comfort could be improved. And unfortunately, our experience at checkout left something to be desired — we had hoped to enjoy a bottle of wine we were gifted by the estate indoors, but were only allowed to sit outside in the extreme heat (over 40°C), despite multiple polite requests. For a five-star hotel, that level of inflexibility was disappointing and didn’t quite match the otherwise gracious setting. Overall a memorable stay, but service consistency could be refined.
Albie T — Google review
I wanted to give a special gift to some friends and decided on a voucher that included a stay and a tasting menu at Château de la Gaude. At first, I wasn’t quite sure how to go about the purchase, but Mr. Manon’s assistance was absolutely excellent. He guided me through the whole process with great kindness and professionalism, answering all my questions quickly and clearly. This level of service truly makes a difference and turns a good experience into an exceptional one. I highly recommend Château de la Gaude—not only for its setting and culinary offer, but also for the outstanding quality of its staff. Many thanks again!

Château de la Gaude is the perfect destination if you’re looking for a private yet luxurious experience. The property itself is stunning, the grounds are beautiful, the service is exceptional, and everything about the hotel creates the atmosphere of a true luxury getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Our luggage was immediately taken to our room while we were given a personal tour of the hotel. A golf cart is always available to bring guests to the pool, and with only a limited number of rooms, the hotel feels wonderfully private, almost as if it belongs entirely to you, even when fully booked. Even before our arrival, communication was excellent. The team was responsive, thoughtful, and proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed, including arranging activities and bookings for us. As we keep strictly kosher, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They arranged catered meals, and the head chef himself personally picked up the food. He was truly a mensch, warm, attentive, and generous. When we accidentally over-ordered, he didn’t even charge us for all of it. We also dined at the Michelin-starred restaurant, where the service and professionalism were at the absolute highest level I’ve ever experienced. The surrounding area is just as breathtaking, with vineyards you can stroll through and explore. I would highly recommend Château de la Gaude to anyone seeking a refined, private, and memorable stay.
Barr S — Google review
I received what I would call "the princess treatment" at this chateau and I'm still reminiscing it days after staying here. This place is sooo stunning in literally EVERY CORNER. C'est tre tre tre jolie. We arrived in the evening, and the reception manager gave us an upgrade to the mademoiselle suite. He is very professional and attentive, gave us a personal tour as well. He ensured me that the suite is exceptional and he told no lie. The mademoiselle suite is definitely sublime! The bath robe was one of the most comfortable I've had and the bath tub was a piece of art. The bed put us to sleep real fast with that magical mattress and pillow. Oh, did I mention the view? The suite gave us the most incredible view to the most beautifully manicured garden. C'est incroyble! We were also given a bottle of Rosé which we took with us back to London. In the morning we took a short walk around the estate. Seeing the vineyards around us under the Provençal sun is extremely therapeutic. If I were to nitpick, the fruit infused water outside the sauna were a bit bitter, perhaps the fruits were in the water for too long, but this was a fairly minor thing. The staff were all very helpful with our luggages, both on arrival and departure. We spent two nights in total here; I just wished we had booked one more night so we could enjoy the spa and wine tasting. We will definitely come back again that is for sure! I highly recommend this chateau to anyone visiting Aix-en-Provence. It's worth the extra 15 min car ride for its beauty, serenity, and top-notch hospitality.
Kitt C — Google review
Giving a one star review overall. Having stayed in dozens of R&C hotels, they are all amazing buildings with character and great food. This has to be the worst. Not for the hotel itself, it started off as a wonderful experience, the ambiance, the service, getting a small tour of some beautiful architecture and sitting at the bar looking at the blissful view. The room, well, it wasn’t ‘ready’ when we arrived at 6:30pm, so we went for a drink, we got to the room and it was over 25 degrees. No air conditioning so we left the room in darkness (due to mosquitos), opened the windows and went for a meal. On arriving back in our room the “intelligent” and not requested turn down service closed some of the windows but left others open and TURNED ON OUR LIGHTS AND TV! Idiotic! Then we had the issue of do we have the windows open and sit in darkened room and have some breeze or have them open and the smell of cooking from the kitchens, music blaring, glass bottles being poured into bins, staff noisily walking around on the cobbles and shouting? I have not stayed in a noisier hotel, ever, this was absolutely ridiculous. Or windows closed, the room stifling and the noise slightly reduced? Also, what moron designed the automatic lights in the hallway that are so bright you can see them from space. Do not dare go to the toilet in the middle of the night, your retinas will never ever recover. The worst R&C thus far. You should never have a hotel that you’re charging €500+ for room only, without air conditioning and above the kitchen, bins and thoroughfare for staff. If you want a R&C in Provence, stay at Jucas. It’s idyllic, and a lot more peaceful. Oh and I’d recommend somewhere else, especially if you like your sleep.

I have gone here every 3-4 months for lunch or dinner- eaten at the Michelin star twice. Today I took a guest and when I asked for the bill, I was asked to tip before I paid. We are in france. This is not French culture - French do not serve better for a tip- the French have always been gracious at service. But the first thing I was asked before paying the bill was « here is the tipping iPad, could you give us a tip before we bring you your bill ». Will make sure no one I know will go here ( all my visitors stay here bc I recommend it). That was pathetic behavior. And bc I said « I’m French, why are you asking me to tip» the service after was shit - they literally decided to be rude - no 5 star hotel does that. But I guess these guys do.

The hotel features a beautiful outdoor pool, lush gardens, and a spacious terrace where visitors can savor the delightful Provençal cuisine by Christophe Gavot.
We went with my wife to enjoy a relaxing morning at the SPA, the Villa being 5* we had high expectation but what we experienced was truly outstanding! Camille and Aurélie from the SPA welcomed us as if we were VVIP’s, took us to to our massage rooms where we both had one of the best massages we’ve ever had. We were then fortunate to be able to enjoy the pool (normally reserves for hotel guests) to bath in the southern sun. Needless to say that we left fully relaxed and we wished we could have stayed longer (we had other plans). If you’re looking for a quaint, beautiful and intimate stay located in the hearth of Aix, no need to look any further.

Exquisite boutique hotel (relais & châteaux) located on the hills above the city, at walking distance from the center. The historical value of the building cannot be dismissed. Beautifully decorated suites and rooms. Incredibly terraces and gardens. Spa, pool and restaurant complete the offer. Parking available. Service is welcoming and friendly.

Beds are a little dated but we woudl come back in a heartbeat

There are too many staff to thank for my truly magical experience at Villa Gallici. From the moment I pulled up to the gate until the moment I left, I was consistently greeted as though I was a long lost friend by every staff member onsite. Each day, I noticed more and more thoughtful details around the property (i.e. fresh displays of multi colored roses scattered everywhere in the spa, impeccable landscaping, a thoughtful turn-down service). There were multiple occasions where it felt like I was on the set of a beautiful old Hollywood movie. Thank you Villa Gallici for providing true luxury and a level of care for your guests that I never knew was possible. What a dream vacation.

We stopped in for a drink and decided to have a small meal. The employees could not have been more obliging and providing an exquisite level of hospitality. Although on this occasion we were not staying at the Villa, we would definitely consider it on our next visit. Thank you! Ps. The beer and food were excellent.

One of the most extraordinary places we've stayed, and we've stayed in a lot of great places. The hotel was magnificent and the restaurant? absolutely stupendous! Fabulous! We got a little 4 room suite with a balcony and oh my gosh. And the restaurant? the restaurant is over The top. You ask for something you got it pretty simple! and while we have been blessed with being able to dine at many Michelin star restaurants. This ranked among the best that we've been to ever! As to the hotel rooms quiet cozy well appointed, just amazing. I think the beds are a little lumpy and need to be replaced, but very little to gripe about... would we come back? in a heartbeat! And the people here are amazing , very pleasant , very kind , very considerate and very professional , truly , a stunning place to stay and to dine and oh , did I mention the scenery?

Very charming and welcoming hotel and staff, accommodating to us and our baby, which they prepared the room for in no time despite the fact we had forgotten to tell them about. The room and terrace were lovely and very comfortable, so was the pool and spa area. We will be back!

Lovely hotel. I felt like I was in a beautiful chateau. The location was great but the best part was the people. Everyone was very attentive and nice, especially the gentleman that had been there many years (I think 30!). What a wonderful man. So friendly and happy. It was a pleasure to say there and I hope to return soon!

Villa Saint-Ange is a luxurious hotel in Aix-en-Provence, standing out with its impressive 8,000m² garden in the city center. The architecture reflects the best of Aix-en-Provence with Second Empire style roofs and ochre walls. The 35 rooms are adorned with velvet and tapestries reminiscent of the cozy atmosphere of old private mansions. Guests can enjoy classic and elegant cuisine under an imposing glass roof.
Where to begin? We came to Provence and the French Riviera for our honeymoon, and Villa Saint-Ange was simply magnificent. The property feels like stepping back in time — elegant, historic, and beautifully preserved — yet every amenity is perfectly modern. It was an ideal base to explore Aix and venture into Provence! We stayed in a Junior Suite and dined at their gastronomy restaurant, where both the service and food were exceptional — truly among the best meals of our entire trip. The pool area, complete with a jacuzzi, was stunning and incredibly relaxing. Throughout our stay, the staff made sure we were genuinely cared for. A flawless experience from start to finish!!
Pranam C — Google review
Villa Saint-Ange is a stunning property, beautifully designed with serene surroundings and tasteful details. While the aesthetics and most of the staff were truly wonderful, unfortunately, my experience during a recent one-night stay did not live up to the level of service I expected from a property of this caliber. Upon check-in just after 5:00 PM, I was informed I would receive a complimentary welcome plate, with the option to have it delivered immediately or later in the evening. I opted for 7:30 PM, but despite reminding the front desk, the welcome plate never arrived. I was also told that the pool would remain open until 8:00 PM and that poolside service was available. I arrived around 6:30 PM and was informed that towels were no longer being distributed for the evening, though the attendant did make an exception and provided two. When I tried to order a beverage, I was told that service had already stopped—contrary to what I had been told at check-in. While I was in the pool, the attendant began closing umbrellas—including mine—even though the sun doesn't set until approximately 9:30 PM this time of year. Interestingly, a few loungers down, another guest’s umbrella remained open. About 30 minutes later, I saw that same guest approached and offered beverages, which were later delivered by the same attendant who had told me service had ended. While most of the team was professional and courteous—particularly at the front desk and valet—these inconsistencies in communication and service impacted the overall experience. I was traveling through the area and only stayed for one night, but sadly, my brief stay fell short of the standard I had anticipated. With some attention to consistency and guest follow-through, Villa Saint-Ange has the potential to offer a truly exceptional experience.

Beautiful hotel. And exceptional grounds. Location is really convenient to Aix. Pool is a great place to relax though the beds fill up quickly. Little touches at the hotel - hats, towels, sandals and beach bag - are wonderful. Hotel staff were very friendly and warm. We found the pool staff to be friendly though the service was only average. The restaurant is beautiful and the outdoor grounds are amazing sitting by the waterfall. We found the restaurant staff to be a little pretentious and cold both at breakfast and at dinner. Our meal was a bit of a mix up, serving our mains before our appetizer, which is a little extraordinary for a 5 star. That said the food was very good. Beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend though be prepared to spend $ :)

We stayed at the hotel for five nights. Excellent service and friendly staff. After we departed hotel and arrive to city of Carcassonne(3 hours drive), we realized we left our passports in the hotel safe. We immediately called hotel to find a way to get them back. Hotel staff went out of their way to help us. Hotel concierge found a delivery service to bring passports to us. Huge thanks for excellent service.

I have mixed feelings about this place. While I did enjoy my stay overall, the photos on the travel website looked NOTHING like the reality. I booked the room expecting a clawfoot tub, but when we arrived there was only a shower. To be fair, the hotel’s water pressure was excellent and I did enjoy the shower, but I feel the listing should reflect reality more accurately, At the very least, it shouldn’t show amenities that may not actually be available. That said, the service was excellent, and the hotel has a lovely garden that added charm to the stay. The breakfast was acceptably good.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and couldn’t speak highly enough. The pictures on the website didn’t disappoint - the villa grounds were absolutely stunning. Service was top notch and the rooms were lovely. Oh, and the pool was amazing - perfect way to spend the afternoon after a busy day in Aix. I’d give this hotel more than 5 stars if I could!
Adam R — Google review
Lovely property, highly maintained. Huge pool and patio for lounging. Very kind & helpful staff. Our Prestige room was a very nice size with a king bed, plenty of room for a supplementary bed if necessary. Large bathroom and shower.
Mburked26 — Google review
The front desk staff really gave it their all - but even they can’t magically 🪄 enlarge a shoebox. We ended up in what felt like an elegant dorm room by the pool. Stylish? Sure. Spacious? Only if you’re under 5’6” 🤏 and traveling solo. Two people? Good luck 🍀 As for the pool 🏊 staff - mostly a myth. And the one time he did appear, it was to scold us for daring to adjust a sun lounger. Honestly, if I were the lone guy stuck managing sunburned tourists all day, I’d probably hide 🫣 inside too.

Located 8.3 kilometers from the city center, La Bastide de Damien is a 4-star guest house in Aix-en-Provence offering four room options. Guests can enjoy facilities such as WiFi, spa, beach, pool, and garden. The exceptional suites are situated in a tranquil setting with impeccable cleanliness and a warm welcome. Visitors praise the quiet and cozy atmosphere of this place along with its fantastic lavender scents.
We had an absolutely fabulous week with Damian and Stephanie and their team. Nestled in between the beautiful lavender fields, manicure gardens and private Swimming pool, the setting could not have been better. The food prepared by the Michelin chef and service were exquisite. I highly recommend staying at Bastide de Damian.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with this experience. I booked a room at 11:30 PM, well before their stated check-in deadline of midnight. Upon arrival before midnight, I found the front gate completely locked with no way to access the property or reach staff. There were no doorbells at the entrance, phone calls went straight to voicemail, and messages sent through the booking app received no response whatsoever. Despite arriving within their posted check-in hours and being physically unable to access the hotel due to their locked gate, I was charged a 'no-show' fee and they refused to process any refund. The lack of communication, inaccessible premises during stated operating hours, and unjust charges made this an incredibly stressful and disheartening experience. I would strongly advise against booking here, especially for late arrivals.

We stayed for just one night and it is very hard to leave! The family made our stay really special with their warm welcome and service. The property itself is simply stunning, very clean and the room was out of this world! The food was wonderful, and truthfully the whole experience was unforgettable. We have stayed at a lot of luxury hotels over the years and this has by far been our best experience yet. Thank you so much for everything and we will definitely be back!

My adult daughter and I had an incredible stay here! Everything was so well done - from the beautiful grounds and accommodations to the familial hospitality - we loved every minute. Highlights include the exquisite food and coffee service, beautiful views waking up in a lavender field and kindness of Stephanie, Damien and his parents. We loved the massages, time spent by the pool, and the ability to take amazing day trips in any direction. Highly recommend!
Sally M — Google review
Shocking experience — we lasted less than 5 minutes outside the gates. We arrived by taxi (in a very secluded area) before check-in time and were refused entry altogether. We simply asked to drop off our bags and use the restroom while we waited. Instead, Damien came to the gate and aggressively denied us access. He accused me of pretending to need the restroom just to get into his home early. He made it very clear — in no uncertain terms — that this was his house, his rules, and guests are not welcome even on the property before check-in. We were stunned by his hostility and complete lack of professionalism. We left immediately and never returned. In all my travels, I have never encountered such rude, unwelcoming behavior. Absolutely unacceptable for a business that calls itself hospitality.

Villa Amara is a lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of Aix. We were able to attend festival events and discover the city on foot. Literally steps away from the open market we enjoyed shopping for fresh, healthy, French cuisine. History and culture were on display all around us. Exceptional pool and garden.. Beautifully decorated as well. Highly recommended.

Villa Amara was outstanding in all respects. This is, without doubt, a five-star property. The exclusive, three-suite property is an exquisite manse, set in a lush private garden, walking distance from the heart of Aix-en-provence. From the stately exterior to the carefully decorated interior of our one-bedroom apartment, every detail was artful and thoughtful. The rooms were light-filled, spacious and combined the best of historical and modern fittings. Looking out from our floor to ceiling windows every morning, we gazed upon a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by graceful plane trees. Every detail, down to the guide to Aix provided by our elegant host, exceeded our (high) expectations. We cannot recommend this property enough and cannot wait to return.

Absolutely superb. Moments from the heart of Vieux Aix, but so lovely and serene it is difficult to leave. Lilli is the perfect hostess and has thought of everything to make a traveler comfortable. The suites are a miracle of luxury and peace and I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. You will never regret choosing Villa Amara for a stay in Aix-en-Provence.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Amara and enjoying Lille’s hospitality at the end of September. Everything was perfect including location, ambience and luxury. Lille helped with dinner reservations and also kindly organised our hire car for our next destination. And some helpful hints for Aix and our onward journey as well. A wonderful boutique hotel and a must if you visit Aix. Perfect 10. Russell and Susan

To describe this place in a nutshell: a luxurious bed & breakfast that is centrally located. To elaborate: Run by a most gracious host, Lilli, you will be hard pressed to leave this haven of tranquility. Everything you need has been noted and thought of; whenever Lilli asked if we needed anything, I really couldn’t think of anything at all. Here are a few more notes: • Breakfast is served for an additional but reasonable cost. Everything served is organic, from the bread to the almond butter. It is still very French, with croissants and yogurt, but you have the option to request other items like boiled eggs and whole wheat bread (best to request in advance of your arrival). This worked great for my partner & I, as I am the yogurt & fruit type, and he’s the eggs and toast type. • Our room, Le Imperiale, was tastefully decorated and well laid out. Everything was easy to use, including the thermostat, lights, and smart TV. There is central air conditioning in the rooms, and it actually works! The shower was glorious, I didn’t want to get out of it. We didn’t get to use the bathtub but it looked very inviting. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well. No robes, but slippers are provided. I love a good robe, but I managed just fine without. • Parking is free and secured behind an electronic gate. • Each room has a small but fully equipped kitchen, including a separate wine fridge, electric cooktop, kettle & Nespresso (ask for a small carafe of milk), and ice in the freezer. Oh and organic olive oil & vinegar, should you need it. There’s even a woven shopping basket for you to take to the local markets. • The pool is lovely, surrounded by live koi and lotus flowers. Lounge chairs and towels provided. Upon leaving you’ll need a big hug from Lilli, because she really makes this villa shine and you’ll miss her the most. She is responsive via text message, speaks French & English beautifully, and wants you to enjoy your stay in her home. Don’t think twice about booking this gorgeous villa, this gem will soon be too popular to keep up with demand.

We found an absolute gem. Have stayed all over Europe in 5* locations and this is arguably the best place we have stayed. Luckily came across it as it had only just opened, took the risk and it certainly paid off. Will most definitely be returning! The suites are finished to an extremely high standard, location to the centre is 300 yards and you have the option to relax around the Villa (which we did) for the whole day as you're totally self sufficient with your kitchenette area. Cant wait to return, great hosts, great location, great Villa!

(Translated by Google) Stayed for 2 nights in January. I was impressed by the kindness of the owner couple and the romantic atmosphere of the bedroom and bathroom in a quiet, rural neighborhood in southern France. There was plenty of space, including an auxiliary room. The scenery outside the window is especially picturesque at dawn. Breakfast was standard, but I enjoyed chatting with the owner. It was nice to take a leisurely 30-minute walk around the city. It's a good 40-minute trip to Chatado Behedong Valley. I was once again impressed by the homemade cake the lady gave me. Anyway, it was a good value for money accommodation to enjoy the steamy southern France. The Mistral room is highlighted for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and refined comfort, offering a serene retreat.
For my husband and I, the View Aix en Provence, was an incredible experience. Valérie and JP left no stone unturned to give us a memorable stay. From the great conversations to the delicious breakfasts (of our choice) in the morning we felt absolutely spoilt. Even though we arrived earlier than initially planned, our room was all ready for us and even set to a perfect temperature. JP and Valérie greeted us with cold drinks and we sat overlooking an inviting pool and beautiful views discussing a list of recommendations for our stay - much appreciated on a hot summers day. Their recommendations both for activities and food were incredible, Valérie even arranged dinner reservations for us. We absolutely can’t wait to come back again. Highlight of our trip! I stayed at The VIEW for two nights in July with my girlfriend, absolutely wonderful experience. The hosts Valerie & JP are super friendly, conciencious, and thoughtful, offering a top notch experience akin to a high-end hotel. The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable, with an understated and eloquent interior design. The breakfast was impecible and we were pleasantly suprised by the occasional glass of wine offered by Valerie & JP. The place itself is super well located, 5 minutes from Aix center so it is quiet but very close to the old town. They also recommended us visit Chateau La Coste which was beautiful. Overall, 10/10 stay. I'm definitely heading back soon !

La Petite Ferme is an upscale restaurant located in Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde, just 6 km from Aix-en-Provence. Despite its rustic name, the restaurant offers a stylish and contemporary dining experience. The owner, Ronan Kernen, who won Top Chef in 2011, draws inspiration from his childhood in Brittany and the seafood of Provence to create a menu filled with nostalgic dishes that take diners on a culinary journey.
We can’t say enough good things about La Petite Ferme! We photographed a welcome party there, and everything was just AMAZING. The food was absolutely delicious—every bite was a flavor explosion! The wine selection complemented everything perfectly. But what really stood out to me was the fantastic energy of the staff. They were so welcoming and made everyone feel right at home. If you’re looking for a spot in Aix-en-Provence, this is it! We can’t wait to go back! Peter and Veronika Photography

Nice outside dining area and good service. Food was great. We We went there with a family with two small kids and they were very accommodating. Great children's menu.

This place had been recommend to us by both hotels we had been staying at in the region so we figured we'd give it a try. The decor is beautiful and really makes one feel like you're on holidays. The food was rather underwhelming however. Some of the seafood in our seafood platter tasted like it had been frozen a little too long. The starters we had ordered were indeed a bit experimental but not yet polished.

Cannot recommend. We had the truffled egg and prawn entree. The truffled egg was too rich, essentially hard boiled eggs halved covered in truffle mayonnaise. There was nothing to cut through the richness. The prawns dish had no flavour, just breaded fried prawns with some salad. We shared the 350g steak. No one asked how we would like it to be cooked. We asked for medium rare and got rare. The steak was tough. The steak knives insufficient. They gave us the wrong side, mushrooms instead of salad. If you are gluten free - warning - the salad came with croutons without a thought, inspite of letting them know one is was gluten free. Overpriced and under delivered.

The food was exquisite! Presented beautifully, good portion sizes, creative combination of flavours and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was also great and very romantic. The service was subpar. The waiters were polite but not attentive enough and could do with more training to match what is expected of a restaurant of this calibre.

Had a lovely dinner tonight. Ordered the tuna tataki and the side salad, which was absolutely delicious. We also had the red snapper. I would prefer it be de-boned. French fries and mushrooms, which was also very good. Very cute restaurant. Very good service. I would definitely eat here again.

I'm not saying is a bad place but neither good. I didn't like much the food and service was quite slow. My main dish had some prawns but here where not fully pealed not the intestine removed (they usually do this in top end restaurant). They look better than it taste to be honest. Waited to pay a while and finally she came back and said to pay in the bar. Very unusual...

Such mega food. The food was just incredible. We sat near the meat kitchen where we could watch the two chefs busy cooking the different types of meats (fish, beef, prawns, etc...). The prawn entree was well balanced due to the perfectly cooked prawns providing elements of umami and the sauce with roasted pine nuts, butter and a hint of chin churi. We had the fillet mignon and foie gras which was amazing. The steak was cooked to medium rare throughout and retained all the succulent juices. The foie gras worked well with the steak as it enhanced the taste of it with every bite, not too overwhelming. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Unfortunately we are not fluent in French but they were able to help us with English menus and service. Overally, excellent experience and wish our itinerary allowed us to go again!

Nestled in an olive grove, Les Lodges Sainte-Victoire Hotel & Spa is a luxurious retreat that combines the charm of a country manor with contemporary villa living. The 18th-century building has been transformed into a sophisticated hotel featuring elegant rooms, two pools, and a sleek spa offering exotic rituals and personalized treatments.
Incredible hotel! We loved our stay. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the bathrooms are modern with everything working perfectly. The spa is very nice with a small hammam and sauna and a relatively large indoor pool. The outdoor pool is heated and also quite large with superb views on the countryside. The service was very attentive and friendly, maybe a bit slow at dinner but we didn’t mind as we were happy to take our time. The location of the hotel is ideal with an incredible view on St Victoire and great access to walks in the mountains. It is also 30min from Marseille airport which is very convenient. All in all, we loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! Thank you!

Les Lodges Sainte-Victoire is a beautiful retreat nestled in stunning natural surroundings. The location is idyllic, offering breathtaking views of Mont Sainte-Victoire, and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and the gardens add to the tranquil ambiance. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with thoughtful details that enhance the overall experience. The on-site spa and pool are fantastic features that allow guests to unwind in luxury. The restaurant serves high-quality meals with locally inspired flavors, but the service could be slightly more attentive during busy hours. Similarly, while most staff were friendly and helpful, there were moments where the level of service didn’t fully match the hotel’s luxurious reputation. Overall, Les Lodges Sainte-Victoire offers a memorable experience, blending nature, elegance, and relaxation. It’s an excellent choice for a serene vacation, with just a few areas for improvement to reach perfection.

Well that was a real 60th birthday experience…… We had looked forward to this for a long time…….decided to spoil ourselves and sample the best. How we got it wrong The hotel claims 5 stars, but sadly it fell a long way short. Future visitors beware On arrival we were showed to our ‘deluxe balcony suite’ on the first floor - except that it wasn’t deluxe didn’t have a balcony and wasn’t on the first floor. Suite C9 is clearly the place they put people who really dont care, it’s dark, dismal and overlooked by the ground floor side passage with no views of anything. So as you’d expect we complained, showed the team our confirmation email that clearly acknowledged we had secured a 1st floor balcony suite - but to no avail. As you guessed, they had given it to someone else. They apologised - but could do nothing (so they said)! So guess what - we ended up downgrading to a standard room, such a great start, high hopes dashed, and they knew it was my 60th birthday. Don’t get me wrong the location is spectacular and parts of the hotel get close to being 5 stars, but the AC in our room never got lower than 22 degress, the food in the restaurant (and pool area) was only average and for non meat eaters quite poor, and the wine list was very limited, and it’s in Provence for goodness sake. On the positive side, most of the staff were keen to help, but it’s clear that they struggle badly at times. The concierge found us a great restaurant 15 minutes away that became our regular go-to, breakfast was ok and the outside setting made it special, but this place has a lot of work to do to claim five stars. Oh, we still haven’t got our refund as apparently it’s policy to not refund the money (we already paid weeks ago) until you check out, I have a feeling that will be another stress inducing experience as well. If you were looking to be indulged, feel special and enjoy a hassle free time - go elsewhere.

We stayed straight after our wedding and it was the most perfect weather and setting. We couldn’t have asked for anymore! We had a lovely room with a balcony, it was spacious clean and modern. The staff are really great (Luca and Benjamin were very professional and super helpful!) and always on hand to help in any way. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and thoroughly enjoyed every course. We also ate at a relatively new restaurant 5 min drive away called Monsieur Louis Le Tholonet and the atmosphere/service was fantastic so also recommend! If you’re looking for a luxury spa getaway in the stunning Provence setting, I would highly recommend.

Pria S — Google review
Les Lodges de Sainte-Victoire is truly a beautiful place with stunning rooms and an incredible location – it's a picturesque setting for a getaway. The staff are incredibly helpful and very nice, always going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We found the food at breakfast to be of high quality, and the main restaurant, despite a somewhat limited choice, also serves very good food. However, there are areas for improvement in the price point. As a family with young children, we found some significant limitations. There were absolutely no food options for young children on the snacking menu, which was quite inconvenient. The main, high-end restaurant is unsuitable for kids and only offers a very limited children's menu for €26 per child. While they mentioned room service was an option, feeding two children in your room would cost over €60, including a delivery charge, which is not what one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. If you stay for 4 or 5 days, you're unlikely to eat at the main restaurant more than twice due to the limited choice and unsuitability for kids. Staff Training & Value While the staff are dedicated and willing to help, it sometimes felt like some could benefit from more comprehensive training. In a boutique hotel where staff often wear many hats, a deeper understanding of various aspects of the operation is crucial. We noticed instances where staff seemed unaware of certain things they should know, which, while not their fault, points to a potential gap in management's training delivery. When you're paying such a high-end luxury price, you expect a consistently polished and knowledgeable service. The management should definitely consider improving this aspect to justify the rates. Ultimately, Les Lodges de Sainte-Victoire is ideal for a short break for adults looking for a beautiful and relaxing escape. However, it is less suited for those travelling with young children due to the very limited and expensive dining options for them, and at its current price point, some enhancements in staff training would greatly improve the overall guest experience.

Hôtel Aquabella & Spa Aix en Provence is a relaxed and charming hotel located in the heart of the Thermes district. Guests can also enjoy various massage treatments inspired by different cultural themes.
This hotel/spa/restaurant is delightful. This is my first trip abroad and this place did not disappoint. It's located within walking distance of everything you need in Aix, or for a bus to somewhere else. The spa was absolutely amazing and the jacuzzi was welcome after a long day of exploring. I was extremely impressed with the restaurant, too. The food was perfection! Highly recommend if you're in Aix-en-Provence!

I was excited to stay at Aquabella for my first trip to Provence, expecting a charming boutique hotel surrounded by nature. Instead, it’s located in the old town, which felt a bit run-down. The staff were lovely and very helpful, but the hotel itself was disappointing—the room was small, dated, and had a moldy smell. Breakfast was included, but we chose to eat out as it wasn’t very inviting. Great service, but the hotel didn’t match the photos or the vibe I was hoping for.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was a great experience. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were lovely and the staff was very friendly and professional. They helped me out quite a bit with taxis to and from hard to get to places. I was too busy to use any of the pool, spa, workout, or dining facilities but those all looked very extensive and inviting as well.

I stayed here on my honeymoon, overall we had a very lovely stay. We did not eat at the restaurant but enjoyed the bar selections. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms spacious. Ultimately, we selected this hotel to take advantage of the attached spa and partnership benefits. After check in we went to the spa to schedule a massage, they did not have any more availability that day so they suggested we make an appointment for the following the day. Which we did. The massage was wonderful! However, at check out we were told they would not apply the advertised discount of being a hotel resident because the massage was not the same day as the day we booked it. This was a complete surprise as no one - not the 2 people at the spa or the check in staff we asked told us this detail. We were very disappointed to be leaving on such a note after a great stay. I am mostly leaving this comment so anyone else who decides to stay at this hotel, for this reason, is not tricked out of their discount and can go in with all the information.
Trudy W — Google review
Unfortunately, this hotel has seen better days. The staff was fantastic and so kind and this review in no way reflects them, but the hotel itself was not up to par. My room was covered in dust and more than likely dust mites in the bedding, triggering an allergic reaction. As soon as I turned on the light, visible dust was seen over the counters and remote. I woke up with hives every morning due to this. I also killed multiple spiders in the room. The shower was poorly constructed and would flood water onto the floor. The rooms are in need of a major upgrade. The hotel itself is in a great location and the pool with drink service was a great touch. However, I would not recommend this hotel especially if you have allergies. Also a 500 euro deposit is insane.

Just inside the old town, but so much property space available due to its location on the perimeter. Nice to be out of the hub bub, as needed, but within walking distance of entire old town. Magnificent suite of rooms on corner (Jardine de Provence AKA 503) overlooks to the north the pool and ancient city wall tower, at a distance, incorporated into the hotel property. Fabulous view of Cathedral of the Saviour to east. Spacious: even the bathroom felt larger than our 1 room rental in Paris. Excellent service at front desk and bars. We did not avail ourselves of the spa. Parking is very close to the property. Worth the splurge in price to visit this charming AIX-EN-PROVENCE.

Booked a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room that smelled very bad. When we asked to switch or get a discount they said they were full and had someone spray aerosol to try to mask it. Not a positive experience with staff. Dishes in room also were wet and not clean.

This is a terrible hotel which seems to rely on guests attending nearby weddings. I arrived and was told my booking had been cancelled. With no apology and after I had to produce evidence of my booking conversations, they said there was one room left but it had to be single beds instead of double. Without any other option we had to accept but still had to pay full price. The room smelt, wasn’t cleaned properly and the aircon didn’t work very well. Very basic facilities. Only good thing was the pool but this wasn’t big enough to accommodate amount of guests staying. Wouldn’t recommend and would not got back.

Le Cézanne Bar is a typical Aix bistro known for serving good dishes, with a special mention of their Caesar salad that includes generous pieces of chicken. While some found the portions of the daily special to be small and the cod brandade arrived cold, others appreciate it as a weekly meeting spot offering quality cocktails and tapas. The bar's location may lead to slightly higher prices, but the service is fast and friendly even during busy times.
While my stay in France, last weekend, I enjoyed a fresh Caesar Salad with a friend. My friend has a beef tartar with fries. We really enjoyed our lunch as we were sitting in the sun, the food was great and the service was excellent. The combination of all these things made us have a memorable time.

Good atmosphere at this busy bar. Service was good, plus a good selection of beers. We both ordered sales, I had the burratina salad whilst my mate had the chicken salad; both very good especially the creamie, silky and milky burrata cheese on my salad. It's a great place to sit, outside to enjoy the busy atmosphere and to simply people watch. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We went to Le Cézanne Bar for drinks late at night and the atmosphere was fantastic! The drinks and cocktails were delicious, but very expensive as it's a touristic spot. Although we had lots of fun there, and we enjoyed our stay. The service was fast and efficient too, even when the restaurant was really crowded.

Great location but the service was poor, generally unfriendly, even by French standards. The food came out burnt and when we asked about it the waiter just shrugged. It’s a tourist location. We did not make a scene and paid in full but I would advise there are so many more awesome locations a short walk away worth visiting! Bon Chance! 😉

It was nice! We had a bruschetta and salad chevre, they were both good and fresh. Somehow we ended up with the wrong salad to begin with, but the waiter was very pleasant and replaced it immediately. Boutique Hôtel Cézanne is a charming property located in the Mazarin District of Aix-en-Provence, close to Cours Mirabeau. The hotel's architecture reflects the typical buildings of the neighborhood, and its 55 rooms are elegantly decorated with noble materials and warm tones. The hotel features a refined bar, lounge, and an elegant terrace bar where guests can relax. Additionally, it offers a private sun terrace for unwinding after exploring the city.
We stayed at Boutique Hotel Cézanne for 2 nights and had a great time! Everyone from the team was super friendly and always ready to help with anything we might need. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful decoration and all the necessary amenities. We loved the location of the property and the fact that they also have a private parking garage where you can leave your car. We had a wonderful stay and we will return one day for sure!

Rooms were beautiful and spacious, equipped with fridge, good AC, lots of storage. The toilet is separate from the sink and shower. Only improvement could be having a small sink in the toilet so one does not have to walk all the way to wash their hands. Service was great and welcoming. Location was peaceful and walking distance to sights and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful start to our Provence vacation. Hotel knew it was our 30th anniversary and had a lovely surprise in our room. While the room was a bit small, it was quiet and interesting design. Highly recommend for a reasonable hotel near center of town (5 minute walk to main shopping area).

We did not enjoy our stay at Boutique Hotel Cezanne. It did not live up to our 4-star hotel expectations. There were no toiletries (cotton buds, cotton pads, etc), no conditioner, and no body lotion. The only thing we enjoyed was the location. The reason I am giving it a 1-star rating is because our room’s ceiling panel fell and hit my mom on the forehead/eyebrow bone area, which led to a minor cut and bruising around her eye. The panel falling caused her glasses to fall off and break. While it was not a serious injury, the hotel did not seem very concerned, although the front desk staff were apologetic. We were given some ice (when asked), some ointment, and directions to the closest optician. After checking out, I brought up my discontent on how the staff handled the situation and I was told that a technician had gone into our room to look at the ceiling after we left. I cannot verify whether this actually happened, but if a technician were to enter our room before we checked out, surely we should have been informed. If the ceiling was only checked on after we checked out, that is also not great, as a staff member should have come to assess the situation as soon as we reported it. I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other hotels in Aix to choose from.

My friend Vickie and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boutique Hotel Cezanne. It is in a perfect location within walking distance of everything. The rooms are small but very comfortable with a good size bathroom. I stayed in one of their Superior rooms with a little private outdoor patio that was wonderful for sitting out with breakfast in the morning (they insisted on bringing my food to me rather than my carrying it to my room from the dining area) or sitting out with a cocktail in the evening. The dining area is very nice and also has outside seating. The breakfast, served buffet style, was wonderful and had so many options, from eggs and sausage/bacon, to pancakes, meats and several types of cheeses, different types of bread/croissants, and other pastries, yogurt and fruit. Truly wonderful. And they also have a nice bar if you want a cocktail. The staff was very helpful, both with directions and restaurant recommendations. Two restaurants they recommended were wonderful, Le Bouchee and Le Ramus, both within walking distance of the hotel, with really good food. I highly recommend Boutique Hotel Cezanne.

Arrived at the hotel after check in time to find out our room was not ready. They could not tell us when it would be ready, but told us it would be “at least 30 minutes.” They asked if we would like a drink while we wait, which turns out was charged to our room. Got to room and it had a musty smell, but aired out okay and room was average. Had breakfast the next morning, were not told it was an extra charge until afterwards, was 40ish euros for 2 people, and they ran out of multiple food options and laughed when I asked if we could have cups and silverware… silverware was never received because it was in the dishwasher the whole time. Location was good, but it did not live up to a 4 star experience or the other reviews I have read on here.

Maison Dauphine is a sophisticated apartment hotel located in the beautiful and quiet Mazarine district of Aix-en-Provence. The stylish units feature understated elegance and are complemented by a modern art gallery within the premises. The central location allows for easy access to the town center, with popular attractions just a short walk away. Guests have praised the comfortable accommodations, spacious layout, and well-equipped kitchen facilities.
Maison Dauphine is in an excellent location, accessible to the highlights of the center of Aix. The apartment was lovely, well appointed, with comfortable bedding and towels, and a pleasant space to relax. We especially appreciated the breakfast with fresh bread daily. Veronique is very helpful and efficient, a lovely hostess. We highly recommend this apartment.

I love this place. Veronique at the reception is a real French lady who is full of hospitality. We had a big problem the night before we checked in at Maison Dauphine. She was so kind to give us an early check-in, though we can't always expect this offer. It helped us a lot. This building is a traditional French "Appartement." Very functional kitchen, living room, and bedroom. Bread, yogurt, peach juice, butter, and cheese are kindly delivered every day. It is a nice location to access the center of the city. Veronique hears our interest and tells us where to go with a map where she writes down the necessary information. We had a wonderful experience here!

Perfect location. About 3 mins slow walk to Cours Mirabeau. Very near yet in a quiet street. Beautiful apartment with all the necessary luxuries for a home. Gorgeous artwork and wall details. Really a must book. I think the only thing lacking is an elevator. But it won’t stop me from booking here again. Highly recommend this hotel.

My apartment at Maison Dauphine was just lovely! The room is well appointed and so comfortable. It is an easy walk to many restaurants and attractions. The extra touches such as Nespresso machine (for my early mornings), fresh milk, yogurt, cheese, and bread everyday made me feel well cared for. I highly recommend these accommodations.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The location, the accommodations, and Veronique, who did so many things to make our stay enjoyable, warrant highest recommendations!

The wonderful Maison Dauphine is located in the Mazarine district, a beautiful and quiet quarter of Aix, yet the town centre is within a short 2 mins walk. The building and the apartment (ours as on the third floor) is just beautiful and has a lovely charme. The apartment itself is immaculate, is much bigger than it looks ok the photos. A special shoutout to the interior decoration, which is stunning. You‘ve got everything you need - comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and room cleaning if needed. Thanks Véronique for making our stay a memorable one.

La Maison D'Aix is a luxurious boutique hotel situated in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, housed in a historic 18th-century mansion. The owner, architect Laura Juhen, has meticulously designed four stunning rooms within the property. Once the residence of Henriette Reboul, a notable figure with connections to Cezanne and Chanel, the hotel exudes charm and hospitality.
A rare and timeless place. From the moment you arrive, the welcome is warm, attentive, and perfectly balanced — thoughtful without ever being overbearing. You instantly feel at ease, as if at home… yet surrounded by the quiet elegance of true luxury. Every detail is meticulously considered — from the textures and lighting to the scents and the team’s thoughtful gestures. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Aix’s historic center, yet the Maison d’aix remains a peaceful haven. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for such a unique experience. I will return without hesitation.

Truly one of the best hotel experiences we have enjoyed. From the greeting by staff upon arrival to checkout evrything about this hotel is first class. The location is tremendous, an easy five minute walk to the old town. The room itself was spacious, very clean and super comfortable bed. The steam room and cool plunge are in a unique setting and was a special treat. Don't hesitate, book it now.

A wonderful boutique hotel in a perfect location in Aix-en-Provence. We were greeted by the manager Emma who charmingly told us the history of the house and insisted that we should feel like we lived here. The public spaces are beautiful and our room was comfortable and lovely. Emma made us an excellent breakfast the next morning and we enjoyed the cookies and local candies always available. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. I would return just to stay here again!

More than a hotel, a true home of beauty and kindness A True Gem in the Heart of Aix – A Home Away From Home We made a last-minute reservation at La Maison d’Aix, arriving late at night, and were welcomed with warmth, care, and a delightful bottle of sparkling wine with delicious treats. From the very first moment, it felt like coming home. We stayed in the Master Suite, and words can hardly do it justice. Overlooking both the charming backyard and the quiet front street, the room was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable. The house, with just four rooms, exudes intimacy and charm—every space tells a story, elegantly decorated with impeccable taste. Breakfast was an experience in itself—prepared with love by Emma and her team. Fresh, crusty bread, creamy butter, local jam, perfectly cooked eggs... Simple, yet elevated to something truly memorable. It was honestly one of the best breakfasts we had during our two weeks in the South of France. The amenities were equally outstanding—the serene living room, the relaxing heated pool, and the hamman created a true haven. The care and passion Emma and her husband put into this place is felt in every corner. Their local recommendations made all the difference in our experience in Aix—genuine, thoughtful, and perfectly curated. We are incredibly grateful. La Maison d’Aix became the highlight of our entire trip. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience, and one we’ll return to again and again. Indulge yourself at 1785. You’ll never forget it.

I just stayed at La Maison d’Aix and felt compelled to leave a review as soon as I left. This place is truly exceptional — not only for its perfect location in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, but above all for its historical charm and discreet, intimate atmosphere. It’s a rare gem where you feel completely at home. Emma welcomed us with genuine warmth and care, making the entire experience feel effortlessly special. The interiors are beautifully curated with refined taste, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. You jave to try the fruit salad ! I highly recommend La Maison d’Aix to anyone looking for an authentic, elegant and peaceful stay in Aix.

Visitors have praised the villa for its tranquil surroundings, describing it as a paradise and likening it to a fairytale.
We were only one night in La Feraude, but we would have loved to stay longer. The owners and the accommodation are very charming and authentic, the garden is a dream. The breakfast is lovely prepared and typical French - we had all we need! I would love to come back anytime!

We had a wonderful stay at La Féraude. Our hosts, including Tango, the Swiss Shepherd, were so welcoming and helpful with information about visiting Provence. It was so peaceful relaxing in the garden area enjoying a gentle breeze on a hot summer’s day. We would love to stay again one day.

La Feraude was by far the best lodging experience over our 2 weeks traveling through France! The property was absolutely lovely and the owners were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and there were plentiful options. We were provided with amazing restaurant recommendations during our 4 night stay and the location of the property allowed us to easily travel to multiple sites in the Provence area, which the owners gave us a list of excellent recommendations wherever we went. I will definitely stay at La Feraude again when visiting the area!

Extremely welcoming , charming, characterful old building in beautiful grounds. The room decor is lovely; eclectic and very tasteful with large old windows and shutters. Fresh traditional French breakfast served on the patio with views of the avenue of trees, garden and the vineyard. La Feraude is the realisation of the cliché I had in my head of the Provence for all these years. Philippe and Catherine and gracious hosts and do the best to make you feel at home and confortable. Sitting every morning in their garden eating their home made joghurt is worth it already in itself. Beautiful design. Beautiful place. Only 15 minutes drive from Aix en Provence

Do you want to stay somewhere that looks like a Paul Cézanne painting? Well, that is exactly what La Féraude looks like!! I have never seen a place more beautiful. The home! The gardens! The pool! Truly incredible!! Also, I've never felt more at home. Philip and Kate felt like family because they are so nice and welcoming and accommodating. The al fresco breakfasts every morning, the peaceful garden at night drinking wine, the comfortable bedroom...I did not want to leave. I am from the US, but I will be going back to Aix. Whenever I am there, I will stay at La Féraude. I miss it (and Kate and Philip) so much, and can't wait to stay there again.

We loved our short 2 nights stay here! The full breakfast was really generous and wonderful - eggs, juice, coffee, yoghurt, fruits and breads! Even though we booked a triple room, she gave us an upgrade to a quadruple room. It was very spacious and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean. We will be back, thank you!

La Milane was an absolute local gem; peaceful, charming, and full of heart. We stayed the night before a Sunday family brunch, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and restful stay. The bed was cozy, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and we loved the beautiful Provençal touches throughout the space. It felt like staying at someone's home. But the real magic was in the morning. We asked for a breakfast for 9 people and they delivered a stunning Sunday brunch, like a feast in a friend’s country home rather than a hotel breakfast. There were freshly baked pastries, crusty breads, eggs made to order, and homemade jams, all laid out beautifully. The owner shared stories about the property, which has been in their family for seven generations and you can feel the love and pride in every detail. The hospitality, setting, comfort, and value all far exceeded our expectations.

(Translated by Google) An unexpected hotel surrounded by nature, just outside an office district, in the Duranne-Arbois area outside Aix-en-Provence, coming from Marseille. Very clean, quiet, and very relaxing. Beautiful, spacious grounds, with short walks possible just on the site itself to stretch your legs after a long journey. Swimming pool, convenient bar open in the afternoon and evening, nearby hiking trail, multi-sports field for basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, etc. Vehicle recommended. Areas for improvement: Late checkout, even by 1 hour, costs 30 euros. No flexibility possible, unlike other hotels where noon checkouts are tolerated, especially during school holidays when you need to rest. Check-in between 4 p.m. and 11 a.m. You must be gone or pay. Breakfast could be more varied, which is difficult when you have a milk and egg allergy. No tea in the hot drinks dispenser in the breakfast room. Sausages, etc., would be welcome. Some members of the breakfast team don't greet guests. There's no welcome at breakfast, and no room number is asked either. You're left to your own devices, even upon arrival in the dining room. A professional welcome, but a cold reception, lacking warmth. Guests have a choice of several hotels, sometimes several hours away, so a simple smile would be welcome. Regarding the almond shower gel, beware of customer allergies. For the rooms overlooking the parking lot, there's very little daylight. A bathroom-style blackout window would have been more practical to let in the light without being seen. We had to turn on the lights in the middle of the day, even though the hotel is supposed to be eco-friendly. Despite these few areas for improvement, we will return because the natural setting suits us: the calm, the cleanliness, and the remoteness. The team should be more welcoming.

This charming establishment, set in an old farm surrounded by nature, features beautifully appointed rooms with stunning views of its lush garden. Very nice and calm place. The hosts are friendly and helpful with suggestions. The position is ten minutes drive from Aix downtown, so easy to reach, enjoy dinner out and then come back for a quiet night.

We stay here for 3 nights and it was the perfect location. About a 15 minute drive to explore Aix en Provence, and a nice quiet location when not exploring. We used this area as a home base while going to explore the Calanques and then the Luberon region one day. It was perfect for that. Diane and Raphaelle were very kind and hospitable! We would recommend staying here.

(Translated by Google) Charming French style house 10 minutes from the center of Aix-en Provence. Beautiful and comfortable room with a view of the enchanting garden; the breakfast was very good. In short, a perfect stay! Raphaëlle and Dana were attentive and very kind hosts (they even helped us with a problem with our car). You can perceive everywhere the care and love they have for the house and that they put into welcoming guests. An experience that cannot be missed!

Maison M-Aix is a charming bed and breakfast located just 3.3 kilometers from the city center of Aix-en-Provence. This delightful retreat offers two room options, along with amenities such as WiFi, a beach, pool, and garden. Guests rave about the peaceful and stylish ambiance of the home, as well as the fresh and delicious food served. The hosts are praised for their warm welcome and excellent English-speaking skills.
The villa is amazing: room is very comfortable, with a lot of attention to sustainability. The garden and the pool exceeded our expectation, a great place to enjoy and relax! The host, Michka, was very caring and professional. The villa is also very well connected to the center of Aix en Provence and there are a lot of very good restaurants around.

Absolutely wonderful guest house on the outskirts of Aix! It is beautifully designed, with gorgeous rooms, a heated pool, and wonderful garden views. You can tell that so much effort was put into making it a luxurious, eco-conscious experience! Our host was very friendly and welcoming. Many of the rooms have private terraces or balconies, which made for an excellent place to stargaze at night! We had a delicious breakfast in the morning as well. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
Rachel W — Google review
If you are looking for luxury accommodation that is not a hotel, Maison-M-Aix is the place. Our host Michka provided an excellent breakfast, gave us lots of advice on what to see and where to go, even booked incredible restaurants for us. Her property is unbelievably stylish and elegant - very well designed. Our bedroom was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. It’s just outside Aix, bordering a forest, so very peaceful. Thank you Michka for a wonderful stay.

The reality is far better than the pictures. Mishka and Jessica are great hosts, with true welcoming energy that makes you feel like a family in seconds. The house is in the best location you can imagine, the rooms are decorated with style. bed is comfortable, and the French breakfast is exactly what you need to start a lovely day in provence. Highly recommend, for traveling in the county side, I think it is a better option than hotel.
Erez S — Google review
Beautiful setting and wonderful hostess. Immaculately tasteful house and gorgeous pool and garden. Near enough to Aix center but very peaceful. We would certainly come again.
Roger S — Google review
We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Provence. Michka was the best host one can ask for - friendly, helpful, and respectful. Since we were the only guest there out of the two rooms that are available - she showed us both rooms and let us choose. The guest room was very modern with beautiful decor and thoughtful details. The shutter blind provided the best sleeps that we had during our visit to France so far. The bed was comfortable and the hot shower came with very strong pressure. We were stuffed after enjoying our daily breakfast - which was nutritious and delicious. The house is located 10 mins (drive) away from Aix-en-Provence - which had a great dinning scene. Additionally, it is only a-30 min drive to Marseille. Ask her for dining recommendations- she was spot on!

My wife and I enjoyed two amazing days at Maison M. There really aren’t enough superlatives to describe the glorious little bed and breakfast. The home is peaceful, stylish and cozy. The food is fresh and delicious. Mishka and Jessica are the most wonderful, welcoming hosts. And the B&B is only a 10 minute drive to Aix. For English-speaking guests fearful of a language barrier - don’t worry! Their English is very good and they were unbelievable patient with this American’s poor attempts at French. (In fact, Mishka, my wife, and I had the most glorious dinner laughing as we carried on a conversation using my bad French, Mishka’s good English, and Google Translate.)
