Sausage roll is definitely over priced but it is well worth it ! A meal on it own I think and texture and taste are just up there. Avoid the half chicken as it dry but definitely have the stake. The Mains I would have liked more chips however with the starter/sides we had I turned out to be okay would have liked more sauce for the size of the meals but hey everyone is different. The overall time spent in this restaurant was just a great vibe only improvement I would say is to have better deserts for someone who is allergic to chocolate its hard to find somewhere which doesnt sell a decent desert without chocolate, so improvement would be to switch it up a little

Initially it was a Friday night visit for a couple of beers with friends, and an obligatory game of table tennis - nice touch. For anyone who knew what this pub was like before, the refit is the total opposite of what the place once was. It's light, stylish and airy. Exceptional renovation considering the time scales which helps towards the 5 stars. The owners have clearly invested a lot of time and effort and hopefully this shines on through as they become established. I ate on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Good atmosphere but well laid out tables still give you privacy. Our food took around 45 minutes to arrive, but we were advised on this before we ordered. All the food was tasty and fresh. I opted for the butter chicken burger which was delicious. A great menu to start with, hopefully in the future they will carry on developing some even naughtier food along the same lines. We tried to order food at 2:25PM and although the menu on the table clearly states that the kitchen is open until 3:00PM we were told “that’s an old menu”. The owner did not let us know about this and no one had contacted us about planning our booking. I tried to tame it with some mayo but it didn’t do a lot so I left a fair bit of it after eating what I could. When we go back I know not to have this now which is a shame. All the ingredients are things I like but it was too spicy for me. The waffle burger was tasty, the waffle fluffy and complements the burger well. The mussels were hot, the sauce was good, strong in flavour and not watery which is easily done. Parmesan fries were really nice! A welcome change from normal chips. We had a main meal for an adult and the child to share (was ample portion size) and we ordered the Stoemp for them to eat. Can’t go wrong with mash, cheese and veg lol. The Gouda bites were nice too! We loved the little touches in the place, the decor and the shop that they have. We bought some of the pretzel chocolate and it was gooood! We will be returning :)

Initially all seemed well; our table was ready, our drinks order was taken and filled quite quickly and the starters arrived, including a soup with a hair in it. The wings and tenders were at least decent and if we had known we would’ve ordered that and gone! The bacon was incredibly salty and the cheese was just slapped on the burger and went out for service. The menu stated that the wings and tenders were under “Teasers”, implying an appetiser before the main thing. However all of our food came out in one go, so it wasn’t a teaser! This needs to be addressed so that people do not end up with cold “main courses”. Beer choice was good and a nice selection of English beers and ales. Unfortunately not a good experience at all and disappointed by the reality of what could’ve been. Far too much money for the quality of what you get!

The atmosphere was brilliant lots of locals having drinks and tourists aswell (including myself). Me and my family had stopped here for lunch as it was a dog friendly pub. We ate outside and our food did take its time, and when it finally arrived my steak ciabatta was quite stale and my “medium rare” stake was rubbery and well done. I couldn’t finish this meal as it wasn’t worth the calories, but everything else (drinks, staff, atmosphere, view) was enjoyable.

Price of meal is comparable to most high street operators but the service and the energy makes a positive difference

We ordered the children's sausage with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The broccoli was uncooked, and the sausages were spicy and dry (overcooked).
