We were shown to the absolute prime position in the little decking overlooking Portsmouth Harbour mouth. You cannot beat that view at any time of year. Hot chocolates put a smile on our face and for me as the carnivore the sausage roll was to die for. A bowl of fries (just because they were there) and that suited me down to the ground. The inside spaces were warm and welcoming , certainly for those who weren’t as hard as we appeared to be. So, great food, stunning view, attentive superlative staff. The staff were nice but service was a bit slow with food taking quite long to be served, once it arrived it was really good, made fresh with great taste and flavour. However, halfway through the meal we found a hair in the burrata dish; although, once alerted, the waitress was quick to address the problem, offering up a new dish to be made or take it off the bill. Before entering the food store the food aroma was incredibly strong and smelt delicious. I enter the store which was designed like a small café selling bakery items paired with hand made hot drinks. The line was short yet big as there were a lot of customer eating in and taking away. However when my order came I ordered the Beef like chill & chickpea pastry. IT TASTED AMAZING. The pastry is cooked fresh everyday in the morning, the seasoning was perfect, the pastry was packed with the filling and it had an alright ratio of meat to veg filling. The pastry rating is a 9/10. As for the price; IT WAS INCREIBLY CHEAP for takeaway and 50p more for eat in. I paid around £4 for the baked pastry. Side note the first bite was the best bite as all the streaming hot flavours came out in an instant and with the amazing pastry fluffiness.

The cold drinks are served in latte glasses which is odd (no alternatively for children either). It feels like you’re sat waiting for a train and you have to get something overpriced out of choice. Could do with a revamp but that’s the standard I guess you have to expect with a chain. I think the flavours for the cakes could be way better! And usually you’re completely full - too milky coffee (apparently a flat white) ran out and then that was sort of the end of it after we tasted two cakes that were sweet but no delicate distinctive taste. Bit of a shame.

The process was flawless from the initial consultation to the wedding day. Genuinely really lovely people with a passion for their business and the cakes they make are absolutely gorgeous. The prices they charge are extremely good for the top tier quality service/cake they provide. If we saw them advertising that they'd be at a fair or event, we'd find an excuse to go to it so we could buy their cakes. Can't recommend these guys enough. Chris was very helpful and said they could fit it in. I even had to change the date to a week earlier than planned again nothing was too much trouble.
