The overall time spent in this restaurant was just a great vibe only improvement I would say is to have better deserts for someone who is allergic to chocolate its hard to find somewhere which doesnt sell a decent desert without chocolate, so improvement would be to switch it up a little

Initially it was a Friday night visit for a couple of beers with friends, and an obligatory game of table tennis - nice touch. For anyone who knew what this pub was like before, the refit is the total opposite of what the place once was. It's light, stylish and airy. The owners have clearly invested a lot of time and effort and hopefully this shines on through as they become established. I ate on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Good atmosphere but well laid out tables still give you privacy. Our food took around 45 minutes to arrive, but we were advised on this before we ordered. All the food was tasty and fresh. I opted for the butter chicken burger which was delicious. A great menu to start with, hopefully in the future they will carry on developing some even naughtier food along the same lines. (Distillery tour as a gift) Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Huge amount of knowledge about the history of the site, background about the journey the distillery has had so far and the products they make. Firstly we had a drink, as we arrived early for the tour. Then we had a short talk from one of the owners and founders. Shown the distillery rooms and taken to a tasting room. To sample a number of gins and rums made on site. Then back to the bar for a complimentary drink. Absolutely amazing place. The most amazing thing is when he mentioned games which he had second hand which meant we didn’t put any back and could purchase all, and even mentioned a special edition of a game for a small extra price. But my experience with their Customer service was not good at all. In fact it was damn right awful I Paid them a cash deposit last year for a project that never went ahead. This week I used that deposit for a new project. I agreed a price fo the new project in the shop and went to collect and pay the next day but I found that my quoted price had doubled without any confirmation or notification to me. After negotiation I managed to keep the same price I was quoted but with half of my project finished. They then proceeded to tell me that I would not get any change from my deposit and that my change would be used as a credit note. The manager (who was not in the shop) was called on the phone and she continued to tell me that all though I paid cash, bought a product I’d still not get my change and only a credit note and that I was a fool for thinking that I would get cash as change. After an embarrassing ordeal on the phone for at least 10 minutes and telling the manager a few legal truths about consumer Law I got my money from them. I was simply trying on a coat and using the mirror to see how it looked, which is a normal part of shopping. I also took photo's for reference so I could think about it before making a purchase. It was a hot day so we thought parking might be an issue but with a blue badge you can park right outside. If the market is on accessibility is great but not much good if it's not. The artists are really helpful though and will do their best to assist. We purchased all sorts! From a beautiful decorated skull to a necklace. There were some brilliant singers when we went so that added to the wonderful atmosphere. It could do with more seating and a way to access the sea view by wheelchair but if you are able bodied you'll have some stunning views of Portsmouth harbour mouth.
