Her ability to explain the process of making port and other fortified wines was wonderful. We walked from Porto, which was all fine until we started to climb to Graham's - it was a challenging walk on the roads, with very teeny tiny shoulders! We arrived with only a few minutes to spare for our scheduled tour time. The exterior grounds and view are GORGEOUS - absolutely spectacular. If I had realized they were that nice I likely would have just had a drink on the terrace to soak it all in. However, the tour was mostly interesting; longer and more detailed than I had anticipated it being. I'm glad we did it, though I don't remember any of the information provided now. I think we had the misfortune of being in a tour group with some rather pretentious types; I felt a little bad for the tour guide (who was very friendly) as some of the guests seemed to be peppering her with some snooty-seeming (to me) questions. Para ser Extra tinha que pedir mais, não foi o caso porque pelos vistos presunto nem ve- lo, e se quiz, chamar de Ovos Rotos tive que pagar o presunto,à parte,nem sei se rio ou choro, sinceramente, e não ficou por aqui, fizemos o pedido Pizza Calzone e Lasanha Vegetariana. A comida estava óptima os sabores estavam lá. Quando pedimos a conta, veio a funcionária trazer, ao qual nos referiu sem ainda termos visto o valor para pagar, aqui está!! E disse que no talão tem 3 opções de gratificação 10% 15% ou 20%. E saiu....Fiquei chocada. Depois para receber veio outra funcionária a que estava no balcão, ao qual referi que o valor a pagar só o valor da conta, ao qual não ficou muito agradada, depois de efectuarmos o pagamento, estava à espera do meu talão do multibanco, como não gostou, de não termos dado a gratificação deichou bem claro na sua expressão facial, virou costas nem nos deu o talão, nem boa noite, e por ai fora, só as costas mesmo, falta de tudo, tive para pedir o livro de reclamações, mereciam. Great little setup with a gorgeous garden to sit in, or if you are lucky you might snag a picnic table. The food was amazing - tapas style small serves. The prawn taco was life changing, but everything our party tried was fantastic. Life slowed down for the time we were there. Great food, great drinks (10 yr old Tawny - OMG), and amazing music made for the BEST meal we have had in Porto. Oh, and the service was excellent :) If we are ever lucky enough to return to Porto this will be on our must do list.
