Long line to wait before ordering, this definitely tempered down our enthusiasm but good places become busy and that comes with the territory. Staff was present and helpful in the line and served some drinks which made it bearable, nice touch. Food was a choice of meats and a choice of sides. Sides were not memorable, weak coleslaw and weak kimchi. The meat was good and flavourful. Adding slices of bread was weird in our opinion. BBQ sauces were average and not very memorable. Seating area is modern, bland and functional, not that warm of a place and that may be the point. Overall favorable, a lot of commitment for what is essentially a plate of meat in an ordinary space. Unfortunately I can only speak for myself and not my friends that were with me but they also did not enjoy there meal and had other issues. I love the Asian inspired flavors. My partner and I came hungry, so we over ordered. The seaweed salad came last, and it was too saucy. Tucked away off the street so no road noise which is nice. The service was very slow, inconsistent, but friendly. I sense this place is very understaffed for the amount of people that show. You have to pay for chips...not a true Mexican spot if you need to...and pay for each additional salsa. The queso dip had great flavor but had the same viscosity as milk. Tacos are $6 each and promptly fall apart. Tons of toppings but add no actual flavor to the taco, over flowing with bland ingredients, the best part being the salsa verde creme on the side. I feel as if it may have been an off night but plenty of detailed reviews on here show a similar experience with service. Maybe we'd just get the whole chicken and a couple of beers next time.....unsure since we had high expectations from word of mouth and it wasn't really great. Not a taco joint. Get something else.
