We were short on time so we just explored the Japanese Garden- it was beautiful! Such a fun, calm space to spend time in and walk around - and it has a great view of the Austin skyline. This is amazing place to visit with friends and family because it has two different attractions here. One is actual park with peacocks and garden and other one is multiple trails. Directions are bit loose on Trails so take a picture trail maps. One with white door is the entrance of garden while next to borders or through garden is Trails. Trails are bit hard to follow as there aren't dedicated signs to follow at all times. For example, you can start at one trail however, in the middle the trail, it will split into two ways and you just have to try both and see which one is most utilized or right way to go..however, you will not get lost as people are walking by and trails are short. You will have good view of lake and amazing pictures to take and explore. Bring atleast 3 gallons of water. Rest rooms are actively maintained and water fountain is not available. Portable restrooms are available but as you can guess, they are not that good.

Apparently the theme changes according to their tastes several times a year. Yesterday it was a tiki bar. Today it’s an Austin soccer theme. The place is well appointed and decorated. It looks amazing the way they have it now, there are lights everywhere present boxes on the ceiling, and there’s music, which is in tune with a light show on the wall, pretty cool. Plenty of parking nearby and the price was very reasonable. I did have to wait a little to get checked in but it was quite busy despite being early. Ranch Austin is simply amazing! First of all, the property is BEAUTIFUL, complete with longhorns and miniature donkeys that provide a perfect "Classy Texas Ranch" atmosphere. Beyond that, the hospitality of Melissa and Chris is nothing short of incredible. Melissa makes it so easy to ask questions and go back and forth with during your planning process. I promise she will be your most efficient and organized vendor to communicate with! She is kind, responds quickly, and makes everything simpler! Chris was there on the day of our Kentucky Derby party and he set everything up perfectly prior to our arrival! On various occasions throughout the event I also saw him running around helping various vendors however he could due to the weather and ever-changing DJ setup! He worked TIRELESSLY to make everything perfect!! Even beyond that, he spent time with my sister teaching her about the longhorns and letting her feed them! It was one of her favorite memories! I know there are a lot of Dripping Springs venues, but what sealed the deal for us was the value for the space, easy rain back-up plan, being able to have an indoor-outdoor event, built-in outdoor bar, being able to bring in our own alcohol/TABC bartenders, and the "Classy Texas Ranch" feel. Other ranch venues in the area were a little more rustic than we wanted and many of our guests commented on the unique combination of ranch atmosphere and animals, but high quality, gorgeous features. I do not have the photographer’s pictures yet, but wanted to share how amazing this venue is. Chris and Sheri were attentive and responsive all the time. Wonderful people. Very professional. Everyone loved the venue. Not to tell the longhorns! They were quite the attraction!. The bridal room is spacious and comfortable. The fire pit is so comfy. We had the place just for ourselves, which matter to me, so our guests were comfortable and we had privacy. Everything well thought and done. I couldn’t have chosen a better place in Austin area for our special day.
