Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to explore it at a leisurely pace, and since it was only October 1st, the fall colors hadn’t fully developed yet — not quite enough to convince me to pay for a full visit this time. However, what I could see from the parking area near the entrance, combined with the park's potential and the presence of the scenic observation tower, definitely strengthened my desire to return. Not to mention the Trails to walk! They have a Ski Slope, Observation Tower, Gift Shop, Scenic Amphitheater, and other Lookout areas. What's really neat is how the Village wraps all around the Park. Rib Mountain Park is on one Gigantic Hill right in the middle! One more thing, there's a Campground and Picnic areas. Our next Picnic-in-the-Park will definitely be here! 👍

Beautiful place to visit and climb giant rock structures. The observatory Tower overlooks all the trees and allows you to see the urban side and the natural side. We went when the trees were yellow and orange which brings beautiful pots of color. Sadly last weekend might've been the last to enjoy the concession stand in the middle of the park so look forward to snacks in the spring and summer season, but for now, bring your own snacks.

After doing some research, I decided Granite Peak, Wisconsin— a seven-hour drive — was my best option, and it didn’t disappoint. This was my first time skiing at a Midwest resort, and I spent three days there during Christmas week. It was absolutely worth the trip. The snowmaking and grooming were excellent, with about three feet of snow on the slopes, and there were plenty of great cruisers to choose from. I’m an advanced-intermediate skier, and while none of the runs were overly difficult, they were still a lot of fun. I was able to lap runs easily and rack up a lot of vertical throughout the day. The terrain is steeper at the top and mellows out nicely toward the bottom, offering a good variety. Night skiing is included with the day pass, which makes it an even better value. The staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the resort sits right next to Wausau with all the accommodations and dining options I could want. The whole area felt like a winter wonderland, and the views from the top — looking out over the flat Wisconsin River Valley and the lights of Wausau — made the experience even more memorable. While I was a little disappointed that the entire mountain wasn’t open (it opened fully the week after Christmas), everything that was open was fantastic. There are so many hill to go down hill from beginner to expert ski. I love the one hill with long and very steep hill because I go down REALLY FAST!!! AWESOME!! I did see one hill have for Snow Skier to do jump trick. There is one lift chair (next to building to left) go pretty steady and slow. While the other lift chair (next to building to right) was going pretty fast. I like that speed so I can get going. I do like their Ski store they have with variety ski outfits and magnet. The tickets line was good but I wish I didn't have to go to window to get my ticket. It would be nice to have a machine outside to scan QR code then it will print ticket out. When I get to ski lift gate to scan my ticket I sometime have problems to scan my ticket thru my Ski coat. I like their Bar restaurant and Cafe place to eat. It seems pretty expensive. I thought it was interesting Cafe offer DISCOUNT for season pass when order foods or drinks. While Bar restaurant doesn't offer one. lastly, one strange fee cost is that at Cafe I don't get E&A FEE at all. While Bar Restaurant does charge me E&A FEE.

There's a beach here for swimming in the lake, lots of parking, a few shelters by both parking areas, picnic tables, a changing room/restroom, a trail system, a radio controlled aircraft field, and a baseball diamond. Swimming across the lake was always a big deal when we were kids, and there are some pretty unique views for those that do. The trails here are very well done and the smell from the flowers is heavenly, but the insects are atrocious, so bring repellent (and maybe a fly swatter, lol). There is a pretty large open area near the entrance that seems like it would be a good spot for something. Disc golf, a playground, miniature golf, shelters, restrooms, a concession stand. It seems like something else could/should go here, but I don't know if there are any plans to add anything else to it. There are several Pokestops here, and at least one gym.

Lets start with the atmosphere. It has a north woods cafe meets the 1980s feel with all the wood accents and booths. Its a brilliantly designed layout that allows for a cozy feel without a bad seat anywhere. The location of this store is set in a quiet northside side where you feel safe and a part of the community. The parking lot and building are inviting and have a mom and pops feel rather a box chain. The service was amazing. Tia our server was fast, extremely personable, and professional. All the staff cared about our experience from the time in the door to the last moment we walked out to leave. Friday nights there are the best and so are Saturdays. The food was astronomically good. Our food was fresh and the quaility of ingredients farm fresh or top notch for our appetizer basket. The burgers were ground steak were cooked to absolute perfection. The burgers had a perfect sear and not dry. Our fries and salads were something from a menu picture and tasted as good. Our cheesecake rivaled that of of places i have gone to in New York. The restrooms were clean as the entirety of the building was well. This entire location clearly is well kept and maintaned down to the murphys oil used to clean the wood. Not a dime of dust anywhere nor dirt on the floor. This place makes Eagles Nest look like a step down and i have been to both. It blows anything including Jakes Supper Club in Menomonie away. Folks... go here and nowhere else in the area. You wont be disappointed.

Food was great service was something that we were not expecting would not come again. They really did a top notch job on all of this! We brought a 5 and 9 year old here and they had a blast. There are so many different things to play on and with. Even more surprised by the quality of food! The food that we ate was better than any fancy, cloth napkin restaurant we have been to. We all ordered different dishes and every one was a banger! And this is a one person show people! The owner not only took orders, served drinks and chit chatted with us, but he also did all the cooking! And no one was neglected when other customers showed up! Holy cow! Lastly, to mention the drinks. My wife ordered a black and tan, and it was actually made properly. Meaning, the 2 beers did not mix together. He made the black and tan to look like a drink that had a black beer and a tan beer in one glass! Dude! Cannot gush about this place enough! Feel free to check it out yourself, because you won't be disappointed :)
