I highly recommend bringing insect repellent. Bring your own snacks and beverages. I think more padding around the trees would be beneficial, especially for the smaller kids. Everyone exiting the courses were very tired. It must be very challenging.

Went on a chocolate and wine tour yesterday. Our tour guide was really friendly and informative. The server explained each of the wines and how each paired with the chocolates. She was also very sweet and kind. They treated my dog so well (even helping him off the boat at the end), and at the end we got to sit outside overlooking the water and enjoy additional wine samples. $25 for a total of 8 wine samples plus a full glass of wine or bottle of German craft beer, chocolates, an hour long dog friendly tour, a souvenir wine glass, and enjoying the property before and after the tour with a beautiful view (which has a bar and allows outside food and outside non alcoholic drinks)…. Can’t beat that. Would highly recommend!!!

This was one of the best things we did during our trip to Frankenmuth. The boat ride was quiet, slow and relaxing. Everyone we encountered were nice and helpful -Michael and Brianna were also great and we appreciated the bits of information about Frankenmuth given throughout the ride. We attended the Summer Music Festival yesterday at Heritage Park and had a blast. Everything Frankenmuth does is always top notch. Our son played volleyball in a tournament outside the pavilion while we went inside for music and food. Even though it was a very hot day we still enjoyed our time there. Great place for easy paddle boarding or water sports. Calm moving water in both directions on the river. There's a dock for easy access to the river, and small playground nearby. There's at least one covered pavilion with picnic tables. Plenty of parking and nicely kept grounds. Fun place for a leisure outing and still close enough to downtown Frankenmuth. Highly recommend for paddle boarding, kayaking or canoes.

It’s one thing to have a disc golf course in your town. It’s another thing to have an amazing disc golf course in your town. And Frankenmuth’s is amazing! 18 well marked holes over hills and through forests and even a few small water hazards (though no huge lakes where you risk losing your disc).
The course goes through Memorial Park so at times you need to be aware of passers by, especially on a few holes that are right next to (or overlap) a walking path. But overall, one of the best courses I’ve ever played.

Came to Frankenmuth to catch Pokemon. We love coming here to just wander, and since we got the whole family playing Pokemon go it's been a great place to have fun and catch Pokemon. The river place shops is a great outdoors mall, even in the winter (they have heated sidewalks 😉) and the Bavarian Belle is a great little tour in the warmer months. The park was nice. Good size fenced area for dogs to play. A few agility things to use.
The down side is that it's at the bottom of hills so if it rains it is very muddy. Our dog found the mud puddles and rolled in it.
If you live in Frankenmuth I'm sure that's ok/cute but we were traveling and renting an AirBnB so we had to find a place to clean him up.

My husband and I rented the Rose Garden for our wedding ceremony last Friday. Reasonably priced for the 4 hour time slot. Keep in mind you must provide your own chairs and set up/removal of them. Janelle helped me through the rental process, she was easy to work with and very helpful. She suggested we use ABO tents in Saginaw, which we did and were very satisfied with the job they did. Gorgeous setting and the grounds are very well kept up. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful it was.

We had a beautiful trip, the kayak I rented was super nice, the guy working was very informative about the trip and helpful with the personal kayaks we brought. Definitely a lazy river, there was a slight breeze so it did take a bit longer than expected. The worker didn’t seem very happy that it took us a bit under 5 hours instead of the 4 they plan for when renting the kayaks(we got to pickup at about 5:00), we missed it on the waiver and didn’t hear him mention it at drop off, it really threw the mood off, would’ve been nice to know before we got in the water planning to stop and eat lunch on a breezy day.

We loved the kayak trip. It was the kids first trip and it was a slow and steady ride. All the information our guide gave us on the way to the drop off location was helpful. The kayaks were in good condition and the entire process was easy! We had a really good time! It is a river that has very little current and requires you to paddle most the way. We used these guys to float down the Cass river. It was beautiful and so easy with pick-up and drop off. The guy that drove us to Tuscola, the drop off, was great. Beautiful and peaceful location. It feels more like someone's yard than an actual park. There's a giant cross on the north side of the property and on the south side there's an old historical house that's pretty cool to see. My son insisted the house was haunted and was afraid to go near it, probably due to the old age of it and it being set up as if it was still lived in. There's a walking path through the woods and plenty of room for kids or dogs to run and play. No bathrooms, no playground, small parking lot.

The Nickless pavilion near the wood carving building but part of the Heritage Park in Frankenmuth Michigan. It seems to be more private than the many other pavilions through out the park. However one bad thing is the great city park workers removed one outside grill. There is another one there just letting you know.

Despite being a beautiful place to have a party, the restrooms are way too far away especially for elderly attendees. Also be sure there isn’t a main event going on in frankenmuth like Oktoberfest when you book. I know Frankenmuth is busy but with Oktoberfest, it was a fight for parking and to get people to get off the road to come down to the pavilion.
