Also loved the gym facilities, there is a great outside area. Service was impeccable- we booked the spa day experience and it was worth every penny. I had high expectations for Anantara Spa at The Palm, anticipating a luxury experience with attention to detail — sadly, it fell short in several critical areas. While the masseuse was skilled and provided a decent treatment, the overall experience did not justify the premium price of AED 630 for a 60-minute session. The treatment room was extremely basic — no dim lighting, no ambiance. The therapist had to manually turn off all harsh ceiling lights and open the curtains just to create some mood lighting. At the end of the massage, switching back to full bright lights was jarring and completely broke the relaxation. This lack of thoughtful sensory transition is disappointing for a spa of this caliber. Worst massage I’ve ever gotten in Dubai. Where to start? Their therapists think that massage is putting oil over body and rubbing it around. No clue about any of the techniques or how to remove knots or where knots are. I put in my form to focus on back and shoulders she starts off with legs then shoulders then asks me to turn around. I had to remind her about back which was the main priority and she tells me my back doesn’t have much pain lmao how would she know when she hasn’t even touched it yet. My back was killing me. After that we spend next 10mins of me telling her where pain is cuz she can’t identify anything and doesn’t know how to remove knots. When I pressed her she says it requires mote than 90mins for her to remove knots lmao mind you is this is maybe 45-60min into a 90mins session in which she has only done legs and shoulder so far and was gonna ignore the priority mentioned in the form. Terrible attitude. Clueless. No skill. Worst part is the staff asked me to pay the bill before treatment (in Dubai everywhere I’ve been it’s after) and so after the treatment I was gonna give them the feedback but the receptionist is chatting with another female and didn’t really care so I just left and am writing this review to vent out my frustration and the experience of getting scammed here. Atleast some of you can save your money

Booked in for a massage at the Talise Spa located in the iconic Burj Al Arab. The spa is located on the 18th floor of the Burj Al Arab. Valet parking is available if driving which i was. Was welcomed by the lovely staff and seated in the luxurious lobby and offered some traditional tea and dates. The dates were so soft and delicious. The treatment was carried out in a room overlooking the arabian gulf what a view. The massage was excellent indeed i was asked what oil was to be used etc there was a choice of 3. The facilities were excellent you would not expect anything less from the Talise brand. Changing rooms were super clean. Bathrobes super comfy as was the slippers. The massage was so relaxing that i just wanted to sleep after it. Would definitely recommend its worth it and worth the experience at Burj Al Arab too.

While I understand the intention to recreate a classical “Ottoman” atmosphere, this shouldn’t translate into a room that feels rusty, unkempt, or uninviting. The massage bed itself carried a lingering oil odor, and even the in-room shower had a foul smell that made the post-treatment experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, we could clearly hear the bathroom drain from an adjacent room every time it was used—something you absolutely don’t expect in a setting marketed as serene and exclusive. I showed up 10 minutes early at the spot where they asked me to come, and the therapist showed up too—but said I wasn’t in the system. Then another person came, then another, until four people were surrounding me trying to figure out why I wasn’t in the system. What should have been a relaxing experience turned into an exhausting. I sat there in my bathrobe for about 15 minutes answering questions, feeling uncomfortable while having to explain over and over that I had a reservation and showing my email receipt. Meanwhile, as I was thinking about this, I saw a maintenance guy pushing a big cart with a ladder and paint supplies in the sauna area and started to paint with his equipment where it’s supposed to be quiet and peaceful and no a construction zone with oil base paint smell, that alone may be small but tells you this guys are not premium spa that they like to portend by using fancy name and fancy door! I know it's only 5 star, but it feels like a 7 star hotel. The staff ensure you don't have to lift a finger, from amenities promptly delivered to your door, to arrange bookings, arranging taxis with only a wait of under a minute, buggy lifts around the massive residence so you don't have to walk coming within seconds of them calling. Everything is very comfortable inside including couches and seating with refrigerated cooling and drinks and food brought to you in the lobby whilst you wait after checkout. The many pools are so relaxing and spacious, with a beach right behind the pool, plenty of cabanas, with waiters serving with fresh towels, free iced water buckets and cocktails delivered to you pool side. There are plenty of restaurants/bars in the facility and are all very highly rated and well know so you never have to leave. They can also deliver from the restaurants to your room including alcohol or even a midnight snack. The staff is so warm, friendly and welcoming. They hate to disappoint, so if there's something you need that they don't have they will do everything they can to ensure your needs are met. This is my second stay here in the past 2 years and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Dubai. It feels like my second home. Was extremely sad to be leaving and can not wait to come back.

The entrance is beautifully designed/decorated, smells amazing and very clean. The pool is a decent size (no slides ) and a good sized adults pool (we didn’t use it as we have 2 children). The beach is lovely, lots of sunbeds, staff clearing the sea of jellyfish, sea urchins to ensure swimming in the sea is safe and comfortable. The view from the beach and the sunset 55 bar at sunset is absolutely beautiful. Perfect opportunity to get some beautiful photos. For us we felt like the hotel was the perfect size, although there were probably lots of people staying here it never once felt too busy or overcrowded. The beds can be heated if you wish , they spray lovely fragrance in the room at different times, there is a choice of oils and the therapists are very skilled. Manuel was the best - our check in and check out was super smooth. The team are so lovely and friendly here and really do go out their way to help you. Manuel mentioned this will be one of the best hotel breakfasts ever and that we should get there early before it gets busy - I was very impressed by the breakfast, the choice was varied and large (but not overwhelming at the same time), excellent food quality and a really good choice of healthy foods. I’ve done a lot of the renowned hotel breakfasts in Dubai and this is easily the best breakfast I’ve done here. The room was a very good size - beautifully furnished, immaculately clean and we loved our tropical green view of all the plants and trees outside. The resort feels like a green tropical oasis - it felt like I was on an island and was the perfect place to switch off. The gym is very big and might be one of the bettors gyms I’ve seen. The hotel is famous for Twiggy which we enjoyed but we actually preferred the family pool instead - it felt more peaceful, we loved the surrounding greenery. The hotel has a great choice of restaurants too - Thai Kitchen is our favourite always and the hotel is also a very quick walk away from a mall if you need to get anything or want other food options. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back again.
