It has a very relaxed and casual atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Our starters were delicious - spring rolls and salt & pepper barbeque ribs. My sliced duck with prawn stuffing main was also mouth watering, but my partner found her beef with green pepper and black bean sauce - one of her favourite dishes - too salty. The restaurant was very understanding, and brought the same dish again, with less added salt. However, we discovered that the saltiness was coming from the black beans, and there were lots of them. The staff tried very hard to help us, but it did spoil the evening a little. We were also asked to leave while still drinking the last of our wine, as the table was needed. We'd been there almost two hours at this point. Researching black beans since the meal, I've discovered they can be very salty if not rinsed before cooking, so I wonder if this was the issue? Although not the best experience, we will try this restaurant again. EDIT: I do not recommend the takeaway! You can get the same or better quality elsewhere for half the price.

Jasmine Tree is only small about 60 covers but nice and pleasant surroundings the menu is extensive offering all the popular Chinese dishes, the service was first class by cheerful staff and the food was to die for,I love Chinese food but here it was fantastic and we enjoyed every course we had which was cooked to perfection. A very well done to all involved and if we return to Southport then we will certainly revisit the Jasmine Tree.

Really nice building in a corner location.It was our anniversary so we opted for the banquet. The food was beautifully presented and more importantly tasted delicious. Being outdoors in the fresh air, a hunger soon developed. Tried the Let’s Eat App but when entering the postcode for our location, it came back as being in Freckleton? No where near there, so not going to risk an order, pay for it not knowing if it will ever turn up. So google searched for Sea Palace and placed an order over the phone. They were happy for me to pay the delivery driver and they rang 5 mins before arriving at the car park, which gave me plenty of time to meet them. The driver was on time and very pleasant to meet. The food ( Mixed Kebab with all trimmings LARGE) was still hot and delicious. The portion size was as I ordered and neither of us could finish it. I rang the Palace back to thank them for such a tasty meal. I can recommend the food we had and the service was spot on. I will certainly order from them again on our next overnight fishing trip. Read great reviews about the quality of food and the price here on Google and on Southport food reviews on Facebook. Our food was that good we are placing our second order this evening 8th November. I have tried the salt and chilli ribs and they was absolutely tasty. Meat was tender and not burnt. I also had Special Curry with fried rice. The fried rice was probably the best I've ever tasted. Could eat that alone. To add to the rice my main was special curry. Absolutely delicious. All the meet was tender and the prawns best I've had. Not rubbery they was spot on. My wife ordered a fish and a carton of mushy peas. She tells me the fish was fresh and delicious, but the peas where like bullets. We will not let that put us off as she will be ordering the fish again without question. I'm really pleased we have found a Chinese takeaway who's food is tasty, hot, great price and delivered to our home. Thank you Golden Dragon.

The Chinese food is always good, hot, freshly cooked and plenty of it. Can't speak for the English meals, or chips as we tend to go to Enlish chippy for those. It remains good value for money even when prices have gone up. The only negatives are the lack of card payment facility, they don't do deliveries, and they aren't on any of the food Apps either. The other bone of contention is when they are shut for whatever reason. The phone line just rings and rings. This happened to us a couple of times and we assumed they were too busy to take phone orders. However, when we drove over there we found a sign in the window apologising for being shut. A wasted journey and disappointment. It would make more sense to leave a recorded voice message saying they are shut to avoid this.
