Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
The Toledo Zoo and Aquarium is a must-visit destination offering a wide range of experiences for animal lovers and families. With over 10,000 animals from 720 species, the zoo provides numerous hands-on opportunities such as a petting zoo, aquarium touch tanks, giraffe feed deck, daily animal feedings, and educational sessions with staff. The exhibits are designed to immerse visitors in the habitats and cultural history of each region.
Our kids did the rope course, which takes about an hour and a half and they absolutely loved it. They were up over animal enclosures and were so excited to tell us all about it when they got back. It’s a really nice zoo, the building you can eat lunch in is really cool, it has what look like cages, the kids thought that was pretty cool too. We got to see a baby elephant being trained to do things on queue, we have to see the moment elephant do some painting. The aquarium is really neat.

It's pretty good. But the viewing areas for most of the exhibits are limited. Combine that with rude people and you've gotta fight for position to see the animals. Lines for the train were long, just to buy tickets. And the animals you see during your ride are nothing to get excited about. Except for the 3 cheetahs. They were actually moving for a minute. Reptile House is closed until 2026. And the Zoo Passes are now restricted to the zoo they are bought from. We used to buy it every year and the discount for food and gift shop items were honored everywhere. Now, it's only at the zoo you bought it at. That kind of pissed me off. And $14.50 for a pretzel and cheese is ridiculous. Food prices are as bad a theme park. They don't allow coolers so be prepared to spend some serious money if you plan on staying for the day. But the kids had fun I guess.

We visit during the week and head out early since mom likes renting the scooters instead of using her wheelchair. We have never had a problem not finding one but avoid busy weekends. Perks of homeschool! There are neverending lessons to learn while visiting the zoo and not just about the animals. We spent a day looking at all the jobs and working on optimizing the job algorithms to incorporate coding and possible future optimizations with AI. The only limit is your mind. There are plenty of animals and places to rest. We bring a backpack cooler and a water bladder backpack to stay hydrated and have plenty of snacks. There is a good variety of foods, and you can doordash a delivery if you prefer something else. Always a pleasant experience and we have yet to complete the entire zoo in one day on any visit. There is lots to see including plants, birds, insects and other creatures that have unofficially moves into the zoo! 😁

The Toledo Zoo is absolutely fantastic and one of our favorite places to visit! There’s so much to see and do, and every trip feels like a new adventure. The exhibits are beautifully designed and you can tell the animals are well cared for. We especially loved watching the playful otters🦦, strolling through the African Savanna🐫, and exploring the aquarium🐠. But the best parts of our visit? Riding the train 🚂and the carousel🎠—such fun for both kids and adults! And our most favorite experience of all was feeding the giraffes🦒. Getting that close to such gentle, incredible animals was unforgettable and definitely a highlight. The zoo is super family-friendly with clean facilities, great food options, and plenty of shaded spots to rest. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it’s easy to spend a full day here making memories. We absolutely love the Toledo Zoo and can’t wait to come back again soon!

My favorite zoo around! Always clean, animals are always fun to watch and staff are nice! Beautiful way to spend the day no matter the season. Very impressed with the Harvest Fest & Christmas Lights!
Catherine — Google review
It's one of the next zoos in the nation for a reason. Tons to do, world class exhibits, gorgeous gardens, numerous kids play areas, excellent food, and helpful staff. We're annual members and there have been times when my 6yo has wanted to go for three straight days. It's that good.

I had such a wonderful time at the Toledo Zoo! From the moment I walked in, everything felt well-organized, clean, and welcoming. The variety of animals is incredible I loved seeing everything from playful otters to majestic elephants, and the habitats are beautifully designed to feel natural and comfortable for the animals. The zoo is easy to navigate, with plenty of spots to rest, grab a snack, and take in the scenery. Overall, the Toledo Zoo isn’t just a place to see animals; it’s an experience that blends conservation, education, and fun. I can’t wait to come back!
Nicholas — Google review
The Toledo Zoo is something truly fantastic. Not only is the zoo well kept and clean but the animals are clean and healthy and are extremely interactive not only with each other but also their environment and the workers. You can find a helping hand not only for information but directions anyway you turner because the Toledo Zoo is BIGGER then most zoo's. Food is a little high on the price but getting your yearly membership not only pays for itself and less than three visits but also with the discounted food and rides. I can keep going on and on there's more than enough fantastic things to say about the zoo with a constant updating social media letting their Zoo members know on enrichment days and special events that are being hosted so just get up and go.

Museums
The Toledo Museum of Art, established in 1901 by Edward Drummond Libbey and Florence Scott Libbey, is a privately-owned, non-profit institution that offers free admission to the public. The museum's main building, designed in Beaux Arts style, celebrated its centennial recently.
Amazing place to visit especially if you're looking for something free to do in the area! There's plenty of amazing pieces in there. (There are pay to see exhibits as well I'd recommend buying the tickets beforehand if you can but the free exhibits were stunning to)

Stopped in rather briefly but we enjoyed what we saw. The staff were very friendly (shoutout to Reggie) and we loved the collection on the East side. We arrived shortly after they opened on Sunday and only a few others were there. Love that the lot and museum were free. Definitely would come back again.

Hello future tourist… I recommend this museum. From start to finish the staff is very welcoming. Is great to take the family, friends, or simply go on a date with your significant other. The atmosphere is very clean and organized. I did enjoy that every so often they have new exhibits to view. They also have an area for special events one can have. That was pretty neat too. Now, across from the museum they have Glass Pavilion . They have neat glass art displays. Also, you could see staff members working on new glass projects. I really enjoyed my experience. I hope you like it as much as I did.

Went here solo, for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed the total experience. Free parking and admission, lovely well rounded collection, beautiful building and grounds with a pleasant and helpful staff. Bonus: had the place mostly to myself. Thanks Toledo!
Andrew V — Google review
The museum is beautiful and has a wide variety of art to check out. The staff were super friendly too. One offered to take a photo of our group and another told us a bit of background information about a piece we found interesting. Overall, it was a great experience, and it's awesome that admission is free!

We had a great afternoon looking at all the art. I would like to take my grandson this winter. There is a really nice area for children.

TMA Store is the best for Holiday shopping! You can purchase online, too! The museum itself is one of the very best in the United States and an absolute "must visit" if you are nearby.

Hollywood Casino- Regalo Our party of five had the pleasure of visiting Regalo for our most recent visit to Hollywood Casino. Staff was so friendly and made the experience great. Food was hit and miss. Our party ordered the calamari and meatball appetizers, Caesar salad, soup of the month, chicken Marsala, Pesto chicken dish, high roller chicken, table side cacio de Pepe and cheesecake dessert. Our favorites were the calamari and meatballs, pesto pasta dish, high roller chicken and the table side experience. Prices are appropriate for the dining experience and menu offerings. The chef shared with us that many ingredients are made fresh in house including their pasta which was definitely noticeable. Regalo is worth the visit!

Oh my gosh I absolutely loved this casino! The high ceilings made it feel so spacious and the food options were fantastic. We ate at Sobe and it was sooooo yummy, fresh and authentic udon noodles and a gorgeous broth! Just salivating thinking about how good our meal was. They had live music the night we visited and it was really great we just chilled and listened to the good vibes of the live band. What a great experience. I hope to visit again in the warmer weather. Cheers, Spicy Jan

Good variety of games, but very difficult tot get a drink or a bottle of water. Also management doesn’t follow the rules and always will withhold taxes even if you provide documentation which excludes you from federal taxes. They still withholded taxes and now I need to spend money to get my taxes back, they gave me a bussinuess card to discuss matter at after moment, however never relied to any of my mails or friendly reminders.

Ever since Penn took over the promotions, I haven't been invited or offered any promotions that would typically get me in the door to play. A $5 or $10 slot play, birthday slotplay, or sending me big six numbers or other promotions in the mail typically drew me in and then I'd play. I get tons of promotions everywhere else EXCEPT this casino. So I barely play anymore. I've lost almost all interest and excitement here because of that alone. I used to love going but when Penn took over, I'm gonna say it hasn't felt the same. Seems like they put priority on drawing new people in rather than keeping regular paying customers. And last year the most drink stations often times had missing items like straws, lids, sugar or creamer. Tea bags should be there too and not have to hunt someone down and tip them for tea bag. I honestly would come back and play more if those things changed.
Becky A — Google review
Machines are expensive, but they have great comps and I have been getting lucky, almost every time I go! I have been in Ohio for a year, recently found this casino, after becoming a K card at Jacks for two years ( earned too many points). They need more staff and a phone number that they answer though. This was my second hand pay that day off of free play but my cell battery died. I wish they had more promotions too.
Amanda T — Google review
Payouts are really good on the slot machines. The slot machines and surrounding areas are always kept up and are clean. The parking area and inside the casino Is the cleanest casino I have been to. I have had questions of the staff from security to floor personnel. All have been extremely friendly and go the extra mile to help in any way they can. All of the above is a direct reflection on how well the human resources department employ the correct personnel. Additionally, there is never a shortage of hand sanitizing dispensers distributed inside the entire casino. Entrance into the casino and parking is very easy. Out of all the times I have been here, there is never a shortage of parking spaces. I highly recommend Hollywood Casino Toledo.
Jerry S — Google review
It's still the best casino in Mich/Ohio area! Safe, winning environment most of the time, friendly staff, great table games and slots. Along with free bets and food comps. Who could ask for more. 7/10/22 hit for 5000 on free credit bet! 1/18/25 hit on penny slot for 4500. 3/15/25 won 900 in free slots on Blinko! Then from that freeplay bonus won 1000+. And usually do very well at crap tables. Winning does happen here! Thank you, Hollywood 😊 restaurants are pretty good also.

Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
Fifth Third Field is a 9,000-capacity stadium in downtown Toledo that is home to the Toledo Mud Hens minor league baseball team. The stadium offers great game-viewing from the Roost terrace and has been praised as one of the best in the American lower leagues.
What a fantastic ball park!! The layout is wonderful, and far exceeds its minor league pedigree. A clean, well maintained stadium that rivals the MLB park in my home city. And the sight lines are great: not a bad seat anywhere. And for a special bonus, the fireworks after the game were phenomenal. Come watch a Mud Hens game: you will NOT be disappointed!
David E — Google review
I really liked this field. It was small, easy to get in and out of and plenty of parking available nearby. We went for a cosmic baseball game and it was extremely easy to get to and get in and out. Food vendors were easy to access and quick to go through the lines.

We love coming here. It’s geared more towards kids and we get signatures all the time. Love being so close to the action. The fireworks displays are really good. We brought our Girl Scout troop multiple times over the past couple years. They love it! Parking is close by and lots of restaurants also.

Great place to watch a ballgame. Toledo mudhens. Everyone friendly. Players and coaches we talked to were awesome. Went on Harry potter night with my family. Great fireworks afterwards. All around Great time. Got to see Reese Olson of the tigers on a rehab assignment.

Stadium is very clean and well kept. We had seats right behind home plate, but I did walk around and the view is really good from any seat. The staff is polite and helpful.
Scott W — Google review
Very fun baseball field. Went here for cosmic night and it was awesome! We sat in best seats in the house according to ESPN, it was row 212 that overlooks the whole baseball field. It was a blast. The seats are cushioned and the speakers were right behind us. I feel like no matter where you sit here, it’s a pretty good spot to watch a game. There’s picnic tables and standing area with a ledge you can put your drink on. There’s a few food places. It looks like they sell frozen lemonade , ice cream, bottle pepsi products and cans. The staff were very polite. Didn’t use the bathrooms at all so not sure what they looked like.

The food is good, the people are nice, the venue is clean and comfortable, and most importantly, the game is fun to watch! They also have entertainment between inning and they have special event nights including bring your dog and fireworks.

Absolutely amazing! They let you explore the ship by yourself , and the ship is massive and fun! U can explore the control room , bedrooms , captain quarters, engine room, bathrooms , chow halls , kitchen , and the underground storage room, etc . It's absolutely amazing and worth it. Definitely recommend to visit at least once. A really fun experience! The people who checked us in were so kind also ❤️ thank you! It’s so full of history for kids and adults. Great mini movie. Definitely worth watching. The ship was awesome. I saw a lot of reviews saying it’s hot on it. But I mean of course it would be it’s a ship in the sun! It was so cool though!! My kids loved it and so did I.

The tuggs were also interesting. The museum wad full of all the good and bad history of the lakes. Lots of artifacts from the ship wrecks. Im glad i stopped and hzve lots of pictures. Thanks for the cool tour, and keep up the great work and hope to see yall agan. Thanks a whole lot!!!!!

If you want a museum that you can go to from open to close, this is the place. The freighter alone is worth 6 hours alone. The museum is about 3 to 4 hours. There is just so much to see and learn. Being here was worth the trip. The life raft from the Edmund Fitzgerald was really shocking to see as very little had been found when she went down. It's really a nice collection of history of the Great Lakes and learning how important they are to the area.

Shout out to Ellen: Our Edmund Fitzgerald tour guide. Very professional for the theme of the material and very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. All the data that was given, she never forgot the compassionate side of the storie as she stated "let's not forget that we lost 29 people that day." The museum part had some great displays and yes there were noisy kids but kids are noisy. The museum itself was great. Thank you for the 50th anniversary experience of the Fitzgerald

On the last day of our family reunion in Toledo to honor my late father, we discovered the National Museum of the Great Lakes just after lunch nearby. We decided to tour both the Schoonmaker lake barge and then visit the museum next door. After purchasing our tickets, the receptionist advised us to board the Schoonmaker first. I am glad she did since we had only thirty minutes to spare and would have missed out on the barge otherwise. It was our first time on a lake barge and we were impressed by its size, especially knowing it was built in the same era as the Titanic. The scale remains striking even today. Unfortunately, we did not have time to explore the museum itself. We managed a quick stop in the gift shop and also took a few photos by the giant propeller at the entrance. Not seeing the full museum gives us another reason to return on our next visit. We also want to thank the museum for honoring the military with discounted tickets. We greatly appreciated that!
Roman — Google review
Visited the National Museum of the Great Lakes as part of the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald. We had the tour of the James S. Schoonmaker to start our visit, and our tour guide Tom was tremendous. Fielded many questions and was educated and informed to answer all. Made the tour very digestible and entertaining. Tom was an excellent guide! The museum itself was terrific. Very interactive and wide ranging in its exhibits. We enjoyed our visit greatly and would definitely revisit. Great value, and great for all ages.

The staff was incredibly friendly and I really enjoyed the entire night. cocktails were off the chart, truly incredible. every dish and every dessert we ate was well worth the price which was nowhere near as bad as you'd think for food this fancy. I highly recommend getting your seafood on here in Toledo

Not bad - the food. We ended coming here cuz most places around town was closed. The food was surprisingly good and portion (lunch) size were perfect.

Everything was excellent! House Old Fashion was fantastic 🥃 Dynamite 🧨 Shrimp 🍤 was very fresh! Lobster was very sweet and delicious! Steak was cooked properly and good! If I had any suggestions it would be cooking method of steak. I’m not complaining just suggesting maybe a better method to sear in juices and flavor. Overall 5/5

Great restaurant, excellent service, delicious food. Got the chowder, spicy salmon and tacos. All great. I wish there were 3 tacos instead of two but oh well. Food was out fast and fresh. Only one slight mark was the first round of bread was a little hard and not superb but the second round was fresh and so soft and tasty. Spicy salmon done rare was the move with a cup of chowder beforehand. On the river, outdoor and indoor seating, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The biggest kicker was the menu. They're DIGITAL. You get a tablet for the menu and every item has a picture of the food if you click on it so you know exactly what you're getting. Top tier idea. Well executed.

Great atmosphere for being a cold winter night. Came here with a few coworkers and we're sat down right away. Once at our seats we were created by a friendly staff who offered us the specials of the day. They were laughing and joking with you l, which is always a plus. Meal came out promptly from the kitchen and nothing cold. During the evening the manger came over asked how we were doing which was a nice touch when you are in a place like that. My dish was really good but my coworker got the African Lobster Tail and they said it was a little rubbery and when I looked it didn't really cut "like butter". But I thought the butter over the candle was a nice touch to the plate. Would I go back definitely. I would suggest everyone seeing this post to do the same. I would like to go back when the weather is nice and maybe sit outside by the water.

The Glass City Craft Crawl will feature their beer along with other breweries at various locations, offering live entertainment, food trucks, and giveaways. For casual dining options, Maumee Bay Brewing Co. offers a variety of choices from burgers to wood-fired pizzas. Stop two on our little brewery tour of Toledo. This place is massive and full of charm and character. This used to be a hotel (Oliver Place is now an apartment building) and there are two floors with tons of space to enjoy. Instead of a flight like I usually try on a first visit, I went with the “Ballgame” Kölsch. Super crisp with hints of caramel and peanuts, the perfect quaff for a ballgame! For dinner, I had the pulled pork sandwich with fresh cut fries and a side of Brussels Sprouts. All was tasty. The sprouts could use work as they were slightly dry and the stumps were still attached. Service was great and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back!

Stopped by Maumee Bay Brewing Company and, of course, had to try their Giant Pretzel ($17.50)—and it absolutely lived up to its name! This was hands down the biggest and thickest pretzel I’ve ever had. The texture was spot on: a slight crisp on the outside with a soft, pillowy inside. You get a choice of a sweet seasonal dip or beer cheese; we went with the sweet option, which was a cinnamon butter. Unfortunately, the dip was a little disappointing—it came straight from the fridge and was too firm to spread easily. If I had to do it again, I’d go for the beer cheese instead. Since we skipped the beer cheese with the pretzel, we decided to try the Beer Cheese Soup ($7 for a bowl) instead of just a cup. It was a bit on the salty side, but dipping the pretzel in it balanced it out. We also got a 6-drink sample ($8.25), which was fun but nothing particularly standout. Still, it’s a good way to try a variety if you’re unsure what to get. Overall, the pretzel was the star, but I’d recommend going with the beer cheese unless you prefer sweet flavors or aren’t a fan of cheese. The brewery itself has a cool and cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot to hang out. Would definitely come back to try more of their food!

We enjoyed our beers! The food was fine, not anything to write home about and I’m not sure I’d recommend the gyro … but my husbands burger looked good! The hostess was not the kindest person I’ve ever encountered and I discovered on my own that while we waited for a table we could have a beer at the bar. Our waitress also never brought napkins or silverware so we had to track those down on our own.

Was camping near Toledo. So stopped in for a sandwich and a drink. I like Breweries that serve more than just beer wine and cider. I'm a liquor drinker and was able to get a long island. Which made me happy. Got a free sticker. And bought a shirt. My Sandwich was delicious and the chips were good. Everything at out table was good. We had a group of 7.

I went with a few friends/family. In total there were six of us and they had no trouble finding us a table. The Oktoberfest beer was good, but if you don’t like creamy cocktails, then you might want to get something else. All of the cocktails were creamy. I don’t normally like root beer, but their in-house made root beer is definitely to try. The food was good. There was nothing to really complain about it, and the portions were good. The interior theme was “loud” and there was always something to look at, but it suited, with what it seemed like they were going for. The “loud” theme complemented the whole brewery concept (in my opinion). Note: I don’t mean “loud” as in volume! Service was great but she kept forgetting our extra waters, but ended up just bringing us a pitcher of water. She gave some recommendations whenever we came across something that they either didn’t have, or wasn’t 100% sure of. Parking was a bit tight, but the place was pretty busy when we went.
Crystall W — Google review
I read about this place and took my family of four to check it out. It's tucked away down a brick street in a 150+ year old building and it's awesome. We had Noah as a server and he was superb. Him and the hostess both said it was their first brunch they worked so they weren't quite sure about process, but super friendly. We asked what others thought about the brunch top dishes and was told "everything; you won't be disappointed".... And they were correct! My son had the pb&j French toast... And i lost my mind... The bacon and cream cheese added was unreal... Creamy, sweet, salty and friggin rad. Only thing, you have to spread the cream cheese since it was a glob. My daughter had the avocado toast, and that was delicious, with the fried egg on top and microgreens. My wife had the Florentine omelet and it was equally delicious... It did need salt and pepper, but still a great omelet! I had the breakfast tacos and the chorizo waz on point. Homemade pico was good and we devoured everything as best we could. Portions were spot on.... But the other best part, taking a look around at the old building and all the rooms. You go upstairs and you can the brewers. They have outdoor seating as well. So do yourself a favor and go check this place out.

The food was AMAZING. Hot Italian sandwich is a must. I'm not even a big sandwich person and this meal won me over. Roasted sweet potatoes were great along with the vegetable medley! Service was great! Our waitress was really patient with us and gave us advice on what foods we would probably like. I LOVED the brick walls and the feeling of like an old speakeasy. Explored the back room which definitely then felt like a forbidden bar but it also felt dark in vibes. Definitely coming back for more delicious meals and to see our Jupmode press work displayed and sold here!

Was super early for my train so I stopped by to blow a few hours. The building is a super cool old time brick building. They had all kinds of stuff going on but I still found a nice mellow spot to read my book and have a few beers. And the bartender was super friendly and didn't mind me hanging out and not purchasing a ton.

This is a crazy place, with a constant parade of diners moving in and out. In spite of the crowd, the wait was reasonable, and the staff kept everything moving right along. The food was good, but I don't see what all the hype is about in that regard. The best part about Tony Packo's is the atmosphere with a nostalgic diner vibe, and...the signed hot dog buns. I was unaware of all the celebrity-signed buns, preserved in individual cases, and displayed throughout the premises. The scope of this was beyond impressive. What a massive collection, with signatures from actors, politicians, musicians, athletes, and the like. Truly iconic and historic individuals. It's worth going for that reason alone. And...grab a hot dog while there just to have had one. Overall a fun place that has a lot of history.

With an overnight stay in Toledo, I wanted to try a cuisine that I was not familiar with. Doing a Yelp search, I found a place that served Hungarian food. The restaurant was eccentric - decorated with all kinds of autographed hot dogs, human figured statues, and other amusing things to look at. Their store has unusual and interesting products. I found the hot dogs too salty that I could not finish. The pierogis were not flavorful, not tender or had enough filling. I never had fried pickles before so I thought it would be much more crispier. The stuffed cabbage was tender, delicious and flavorful. Mac and Cheese was good - just enough cheese and liquidly. It's a delightful place to visit - unusual, excellent service and had good positive vibrations. Based on the reviews, I was expecting something more. I was more into the food rather than the atmosphere and environment. I am giving this four stars because I did not think the food was that good - it's more comfort food at reasonable prices. It was not Hungarian enough for me.

This restaurant was recommended. My husband and I were staying near the area for a few days. We stopped in for lunch and was greeted with a line of people waiting to order (which we were expecting). It reminds us of portillo's and how their ordering system is. I ordered an original dog and a side of Cole slaw. My husband ordered the perogies and Mac and cheese. Food was good (i didnt care for the spicy dill pickles), atmosphere was interesting (in a good way), it was easy to find parking. Would recommend.

We came from Indiana and had to try this place. We ordered the hotdog/chili/cabbage roll. Everything was delicious. We loved the chili. Our waitress was nice. A good experience for my family! It was a little pricey. ***

I grew up watching M*A*S*H with my family and have camped at Maumee Bay State park a number of times. One of the people we met at the campground highly recommended Tony Packo’s to visit. We brought our friends and had a very nice time in the bar area for a late lunch. We liked it so much, we returned to purchase hotdogs to put in our freezer (we BBQ’d them and they were excellent) We will return again in a few days with additional friends that want to go too. Two of us had the famous hotdogs, one a cabbage roll and another had the chicken (with paprika). All were good. The atmosphere is great, fun history, best merchandise store with many things to choose from.

Great overall experience. We sat at a high top table in the bar area. Connie (16 year employee! ) was our helpful barkeep. Friendly staff, and our food was terrific. Enjoyed the locally brewed IPA. Check out the gift shop, or you'll regret it.

What a great place to eat. Definitely need to come again! Tried food I don't usually eat so that was a plus. Also seeing the celebs who have come through here and signed their names was so cool

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. We got the steak bite appetizer, Cesar salad, the $130 steak for two, and the baked mac and cheese. No drinks this time but the final bill was just over 200 bucks. Everything tasted great and we were good and full afterward. They brought my wife out a card and small desert for her birthday. They even packed up thr bone to take home for our dog, which he absolutely loved as well. Would recommend this restaurant for any big celebrations in your life.

I enjoyed my time here for our early Mother’s Day dinner. Everything was delicious. Their drinks were really good as well. We had the strawberry lemon drop and raspberry martini. Our waitress was terrific.

Wow and wow. The food was exquisite. The service was excellent. My husband and I had dinner with my brother and brother-in-law at this beautiful restaurant in September of last year. I'm only now getting to the review. I had to review this restaurant, despite my delay, because I loved it so much. We celebrated my birthday at The Chop House. I can't imagine a better place to celebrate. From the moment we walked in the door, our every need was addressed - often by more than one server and at one point by the manager. The atmosphere was beyond beautiful. Little to no noise in the restaurant and beautiful views. The tables were appropriately spaced, so you didn't feel crowded. Our wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. They didn't miss a beat. If your drink was low, they asked if you needed another. I had a fabulous margarita. Two lovely waitresses shook my drink tableside. Before we ordered, we were given an electroni menu that accurately described the different types of steaks and specifically described steak temperatures. From the menu, "we take our beef pretty seriously at the Chop House . . ." They weren't lying. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. I oredred french onion soup before dinner. It was the perfect size. It was delicious. I'll order the same thing I ordered for dinner my first time at the Chop House, the next time I visit. It was just that good. My husband had the chop salad. He loved it - especially the sugar crusted pecans. I had steak and lobster for my entree. My steak was perfectly cooked. My lobster was perfectly seasoned, popped from the shell so easy to manage, and also perfectly cooked. I loved my meal. My husand had tenderloin. It, too, was perfectly cooked. The presentation for all of our meals was off the charts. We ordered mushrooms, mac-n-cheese, and green beans to share. Everything was so good. (We took a lot of food home!) I loved that the dessert menu was also on an Ipad, because it made deciding what to order so much easier. I selected the smoked chocolate Mousse Pie. It was made on an oreo crust, with chocolate mouse, whip cream and rasberry. Out of this world. Because we were celebrating my birthday, the dessert came out for the table with a candle. So lovely and thoughtful. With the tip, for four adults, the bill was just over $500. I guess it is easy for me to say how worth it it was given my brother-in-law paid, but still I'd pay that amount again for the same experience. It truly wasn't just about how above par the food was, it was a combination of the atmosphere, the incredible wait staff and the excellent food. Best restaurant in Toledo.

amazing upscale white glove experience. I highly recommend to valet your vehicle for easy walk in experience I don't feel like looking for the parking garage. We were seated quickly only thing I didn't like was the tablet menu it was hard pressing the links for some of the menu items. we ordered lamb chop lollypops lobster bisque and for entree we got the pork chops and I got the beef Wellington. sides were extra but they are big enough to share you get like 5 pounds of smashed potatoes and that would of been enough for both of us but we got the asparagus too. staff was extremely attentive switching out plates and silverware the entire meal we were celebrating my girlfriends 40th and they brought us a dessert with a candle with was very nice. dress up for sure at this place. great experience

My husband & I drove 2 hours from near chagrin Falls, Ohio to try something different. I checked out restaurants within a couple hours from our house and the chophouse looked so beautiful had wonderful reviews & a lovely menu Rob was our Sever & he was fantastic!! He answered my many different questions about items on the menu. He explained things very clearly and had a wonderful fun sense of humor and New just want to come back & check on us We had 2 drinks which were really nice I had a nonalcoholic strawberry fizz, and my husband had a Bloody Mary Which he gets a lot of places, but said this one was really really good The popover rolls are to die for, but I only had half because I knew I would fill up lol For an appetizer, we had the shrimp & lobster bites, which were so delicious & very creative. I love restaurants that have different items than all the usual suspects lol my husband’s entree was the lamb chops and he added a lobster tail I had the crab and lobster crabcakes as a side we shared the au gratin potatoes & for dessert We had the bananas foster crème brûlée, which was next level ( My husband did not care for the salsa Verde that came with the lamb chops and the Gratin potatoes were just ok .. The garlic mashed chive potatoes sounded fantastic) The atmosphere is beautiful & the piano player was a lovely touch. We will definitely come back and try some of the other wonderful items they have on the menu

High quality food and dining experience. Best thing on the menu is the New York Strip (with roasted garlic, herbs and butter). Enjoyed the French Green beans as well.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday this year. This was the nicest restaurant and meal I ever had. Our waiter Rob was exceptional. Beautiful view and piano accompaniment. The food was amazing and they even gave us verbal instructions for the best reheat method cause we definitely ordered enough food to feed us both for 2 days. I will definitely be begging to go back

Rosie's Italian Grille is a charming restaurant located in Toledo, offering a cozy Tuscan ambiance with dim lighting and a lovely patio area. Tucked away at McCord and Nebraska, Rosie's is often referred to as 'Toledo's Best-Kept Secret.'
Most excellent dinner options. I suggest making a reservation for any meal time as this restaurant is always busy. The food is delicious, the drinks are wonderful, and the desserts divine. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us excellent suggestions! We will most definitely be going back. The Honey Crusted Chicken and Chicken Marcella were our dinner choices.

We had a GREAT time last night celebrating a family birthday at Rosie’s Italian Grille. With a party of six our wait was only eight minutes; not bad at all. The food, service, and atmosphere were all good, and they even handled a couple of special requests with no issues at all. The "fresh catch of the day" is offered in any of five different styles. I opted for Grouper, "Cajun Key West"; cajun seasoning, citrus seared, with a salsa of pineapple, mango, and strawberry... an excellent choice. We also also did Manicotti plus meatballs (I’m told they were delicious), Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and chicken, Honey Goat Crispy Chicken, Fettuccine with grilled Chicken, and another fresh catch of the day as Halibut “Beurre Blanc”; sautéed with a white wine lemon butter caper sauce. We topped all that off with great desserts. Everyone was VERY happy with their choices in food as well as our choice in restaurants! We’d gladly do it all again. VERY ENJOYABLE !! Thank you !!

Great place to eat food is amazing nice variety of Italian cuisine and fresh seafood. The chicken Marsala is super good as is the honey crusted chicken. Make reservations though cause it can get packed. Reservations are confirmed through yelp so you know your set. Server in our opinion was perfectly attentive and did a great job meeting our needs!

Food was fine overall, some dishes were good such as the fish dip appetizer and seafood and mushroom entree. Others such as the bruschetta and shrimp and lobster pasta were on the bland side. Our server was great which helped, and it’s a nice place and well maintained. Portions were very large which was nice, and they have a good beer selection. We left very full and I’d come back if others in a group wanted to but don’t know if I’d seek this place out myself.

This is our 3rd time coming to Rosie’s. We travel an hour away & the food never disappoints! For the appetizer we ordered the bruschetta which was delicious. Our main entrees were the chicken parm and the rigatoni one with a house salad & the other a Cesar salad. For dessert we did the brownie sundae which was the best part of the meal 😋 Overall, the food was delicious and very tasty. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

VERY GOOD FOOD! The portion was way bigger than I thought i was going to get. Well worth the price for the amount of food I got. The pasta i believe is 100% homemade (not verified by staff), but the taste and appearance i would say it was. Manicotti was also served but had no picture. Pictured is the shrimp and lobster pasta and hot bread. My salad was REALLY good, I got a raspberry vinaigrette, and it was amazing with my salad. Service got 4 out of 5 because not really keeping up on drinks for what I would call a slower night, wasn't super busy, was a Wednesday night around 7pm.
