Nestled in the heart of Toledo, The Attic on Adams is a charming upstairs pub that exudes a rustic vibe, making it feel like a home away from home. With its inviting atmosphere, patrons can enjoy an array of delicious sandwiches and refreshing drinks while engaging in friendly competition at pool tables or arcade games. The venue also features a lovely glass-enclosed balcony where you can soak up the sun during warmer months.
Everyone here is so friendly and nice, from staff to customers...guarantee you will have a great time here. Food is amazing (highly recommend the wings!) Drinks are devine.
Gabrielle W — Google review
This is a spot my friends and I have frequented and loved for years, and I’m writing this review to share some recent observations and feedback. The food is great, the drinks are amazing, and the staff—especially Cory—have always been warm and welcoming. However, I’ve noticed a recurring pattern with one of the bartenders, William, that I feel compelled to address. On several occasions, I’ve observed William selectively asking Black patrons for ID while not requesting the same from white patrons. This has happened to me, my friends, and other Black individuals—and only when ordering from William. To be clear, I fully support ID checks to ensure compliance with legal drinking laws. What’s concerning is the inconsistency—and the implication that race might be playing a role in who gets carded. If ID checks are necessary, they should be applied fairly and consistently across all patrons. As much as I’ve enjoyed this place over the years, I don’t feel comfortable supporting an establishment that appears to judge or treat patrons differently based on race. I hope management will take this seriously and work to ensure that all guests are treated with fairness and respect. Thank you kindly.
Raihaanah S — Google review
Used to come here for the great vibes and super friendly bartenders. Came back recently and had the most unpleasant experience with the bartender. His attitude was condescending and rude, and he did not have an ounce of kindness or friendliness in him. Will not be returning.
Sam S — Google review
Walk upstairs and you'll know your going to the attic. Good atmosphere, friendly service and patrons. I think you are encouraged to graffiti inside.
Stephen R — Google review
I love this place. It’s cute, fun, and plays good music. Much prefer this bar over the gay bar around here.
Jordan B — Google review
Went there for the first time ever with a person from work. Very clean place, and EVERYONE was friendly. I heard the food is delicious from everyone, but I wasn't hungry, I'll check it out next time. I really like the way the place is setup and kinda excited to try out the food next time.. Thanks for being so friendly to a new face!!!
Kristi D — Google review
I love this place, I've been coming here for years! After political meetings this is where we used to meet up and as I've grown as an author, illustrator and performer I've done several shows here and art gallery showcase over the years. The people are awesome and food and drinks are delicious. It's really awesome in the spring, summer and fall when we have the festivals and being a part of Adams Street is something this place makes magical.

Bartenders are always great. Food is suprisingly good for bar food. Love the vibe. UPDATE they have chips and queso and its fantastic!!! Legit the best bar!

Ye Olde Durty Bird is a historic tavern housed in an 1867 building, offering a diverse menu featuring inventive burgers. Located in downtown Toledo, this establishment is celebrated for its wide selection of beers and classic American dishes. The venue's charming ambiance is enhanced by live music and friendly service, making it a popular choice among craft beer enthusiasts. With positive customer reviews highlighting the excellent burgers and welcoming atmosphere, Ye Olde Durty Bird has become a beloved fixture in the local dining scene.
Food was top notch. My husband got a chef special cheese steak with fries and I got chicken salad sandwich on croissant with Brussels sprouts and we shared a beer. There was plenty to take with us for later! Fantastic service! Loved the atmosphere. Really cool building, clean and historic. We will definitely come back if we ever drive through Toledo again.
Alicia T — Google review
The food was was a big let down. We went before a Mud Hens game and were very surprised to get a table right away. My husband ordered a bloody Mary which he said was perfect with a big kick of pepper. I ordered the Po Boy and he ordered the Big Italian. The service was perfect! She was on top of everything! Finally our food came and it looked better then I could of imagine. How did something that looked so great have such little flavor. The Big Italian was so bland. The only thing you could make out on the sandwhich was the pepperoni. Now I knew my Po Boy was going to have Tabasco sauce but that was all I could smell and taste. For the price of the food and drinks I don't think we'll be back.
Tara — Google review
Marvelous downtown T-town establishment that has lots of what you want in a good gastro/bar pub. Spacious, inviting atmosphere and patio, and staffed well. At the bar, I ordered the Pimento cheese and bacon burger with fries. The 1/2 pound of beef was solid and juicy, the bacon crispy, and pimento was tremendous. Fries were very good. I paired it with a Crunchy Hippie granola brown ale from Earnest Brew Works. A good complimentary dark beer that allows your palette to reset. Aside from the food, bartender was quite service-friendly, inviting so I would definitely return to Olde Durty Bird again!
Daran T — Google review
The Greek Crispy Bird is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Ever. The chicken is so so crispy and the tzatziki and feta and vegetables are great. Beautiful space, lovely welcoming hostess and warm professional server. I have an unusual but simple food allergy and our server and the kitchen were great about it. Everything about this place is just perfect.
Magda P — Google review
The food taste great and is nice and hot and full of flavor. The service was kind and calm while taking there time but getting their job done. They were playing some broke heart music so it wasn't so upbeat but after a bit it was changed. (Food photo is a meatball sub)
Summer K — Google review
Don't waste time looking for street parking like I did, they have a parking lot, it's just not obvious to 1st time visitors. There's a tree lined fence next to the patio that conceals it somewhat. Food was great. My fish n' chips were fried to perfection. I was just in Toledo on a day trip, but if I'm there again, I'd definitely revisit.

Was pretty busy since it's near the ball field so was little wait, but great burger.

6/26/25 - Wonderful lunch! Chicken soup, hot and fabulous with plenty of chicken and vegetables. Plus and turkey sandwich on a fantastic rye. They just know how to it!! New review 12/27/2024... Yep, becoming repetitive, but again, another great experience, food, and service! Hot and fresh chicken noodle soup, so good! Grilled cheese, tomato, and bacon sandwich, very good, only issue...bacon not crisp. French fries, hot, crispy, and delicious. Overall, a great lunch! New review 9/17/2023. Wonderful chicken soup, fresh homemade, and hot. Excellent turkey sandwich and, importantly, excellent service from Tayor. I'm never disappointed and again, a great meal!! Excellent soups! Great service as well! First time there, definitely not the last. Nice to have a pub/restaurant with quality food!

First time here for Bane and perfect venue for small shows! Every employee was fantastic, super clean bathrooms, parking was easy, security was great, solid atmosphere

I couldn't love the Ottawa Tavern any more than I already do. I've attended shows here, I've promoted shows here through the NWO Metal Militia, and I've stopped in just for a burger and a beer. I've never experienced anything less than a great time in this building. If you're looking for a comfortable, laid-back evening of dinner and drinks or maybe some entertainment, look no further. The Ottawa Tavern can meet and exceed your expectations on every level! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great atmosphere, miss the old mural that used to be in here. Definitely looks like grandmas living room without the mural. Other than that it's great. 🫡

Great time tonight at the reopening of The Ottawa Tavern. Good vibes and friendly employees. I'm a little sad to see the mural has been painted over to a blank white wall.

One of my favorite places to go! The pizza and garlic bread is delicious and there are always people on the dance floor. Drinks are fairly priced and people are very friendly. Always a good time!

Georgjz419 is truly the best gay bar in the US. The staff (and owner) are the kindest, sweetest people. The drinks are unbelievably fairly priced and the atmosphere is like a gay Cheers. You cannot miss this stop in Ohio- all gay bars should be like Georgz. It's a destination for us - we travel 8 hours just to visit!

Maumee Bay Brewing Company is a historic building that serves house beer and American fare, including burgers. The Glass City Craft Crawl will feature their beer along with other breweries at various locations, offering live entertainment, food trucks, and giveaways. For casual dining options, Maumee Bay Brewing Co. offers a variety of choices from burgers to wood-fired pizzas. Additionally, there are other dining options like BBQ joints and Mexican restaurants in the area for visitors to enjoy.
Stop two on our little brewery tour of Toledo. This place is massive and full of charm and character. This used to be a hotel (Oliver Place is now an apartment building) and there are two floors with tons of space to enjoy. Instead of a flight like I usually try on a first visit, I went with the “Ballgame” Kölsch. Super crisp with hints of caramel and peanuts, the perfect quaff for a ballgame! For dinner, I had the pulled pork sandwich with fresh cut fries and a side of Brussels Sprouts. All was tasty. The sprouts could use work as they were slightly dry and the stumps were still attached. Service was great and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back!
Stephen M — Google review
Stopped by Maumee Bay Brewing Company and, of course, had to try their Giant Pretzel ($17.50)—and it absolutely lived up to its name! This was hands down the biggest and thickest pretzel I’ve ever had. The texture was spot on: a slight crisp on the outside with a soft, pillowy inside. You get a choice of a sweet seasonal dip or beer cheese; we went with the sweet option, which was a cinnamon butter. Unfortunately, the dip was a little disappointing—it came straight from the fridge and was too firm to spread easily. If I had to do it again, I’d go for the beer cheese instead. Since we skipped the beer cheese with the pretzel, we decided to try the Beer Cheese Soup ($7 for a bowl) instead of just a cup. It was a bit on the salty side, but dipping the pretzel in it balanced it out. We also got a 6-drink sample ($8.25), which was fun but nothing particularly standout. Still, it’s a good way to try a variety if you’re unsure what to get. Overall, the pretzel was the star, but I’d recommend going with the beer cheese unless you prefer sweet flavors or aren’t a fan of cheese. The brewery itself has a cool and cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot to hang out. Would definitely come back to try more of their food!
G L — Google review
We enjoyed our beers! The food was fine, not anything to write home about and I’m not sure I’d recommend the gyro … but my husbands burger looked good! The hostess was not the kindest person I’ve ever encountered and I discovered on my own that while we waited for a table we could have a beer at the bar. Our waitress also never brought napkins or silverware so we had to track those down on our own.
Kaitlyn W — Google review
Was camping near Toledo. So stopped in for a sandwich and a drink. I like Breweries that serve more than just beer wine and cider. I'm a liquor drinker and was able to get a long island. Which made me happy. Got a free sticker. And bought a shirt. My Sandwich was delicious and the chips were good. Everything at out table was good. We had a group of 7.
Jerry U — Google review
I went with a few friends/family. In total there were six of us and they had no trouble finding us a table. The Oktoberfest beer was good, but if you don’t like creamy cocktails, then you might want to get something else. All of the cocktails were creamy. I don’t normally like root beer, but their in-house made root beer is definitely to try. The food was good. There was nothing to really complain about it, and the portions were good. The interior theme was “loud” and there was always something to look at, but it suited, with what it seemed like they were going for. The “loud” theme complemented the whole brewery concept (in my opinion). Note: I don’t mean “loud” as in volume! Service was great but she kept forgetting our extra waters, but ended up just bringing us a pitcher of water. She gave some recommendations whenever we came across something that they either didn’t have, or wasn’t 100% sure of. Parking was a bit tight, but the place was pretty busy when we went.
Crystall W — Google review
I read about this place and took my family of four to check it out. It's tucked away down a brick street in a 150+ year old building and it's awesome. We had Noah as a server and he was superb. Him and the hostess both said it was their first brunch they worked so they weren't quite sure about process, but super friendly. We asked what others thought about the brunch top dishes and was told "everything; you won't be disappointed".... And they were correct! My son had the pb&j French toast... And i lost my mind... The bacon and cream cheese added was unreal... Creamy, sweet, salty and friggin rad. Only thing, you have to spread the cream cheese since it was a glob. My daughter had the avocado toast, and that was delicious, with the fried egg on top and microgreens. My wife had the Florentine omelet and it was equally delicious... It did need salt and pepper, but still a great omelet! I had the breakfast tacos and the chorizo waz on point. Homemade pico was good and we devoured everything as best we could. Portions were spot on.... But the other best part, taking a look around at the old building and all the rooms. You go upstairs and you can the brewers. They have outdoor seating as well. So do yourself a favor and go check this place out.
T C — Google review
The food was AMAZING. Hot Italian sandwich is a must. I'm not even a big sandwich person and this meal won me over. Roasted sweet potatoes were great along with the vegetable medley! Service was great! Our waitress was really patient with us and gave us advice on what foods we would probably like. I LOVED the brick walls and the feeling of like an old speakeasy. Explored the back room which definitely then felt like a forbidden bar but it also felt dark in vibes. Definitely coming back for more delicious meals and to see our Jupmode press work displayed and sold here!
Brittany — Google review
Was super early for my train so I stopped by to blow a few hours. The building is a super cool old time brick building. They had all kinds of stuff going on but I still found a nice mellow spot to read my book and have a few beers. And the bartender was super friendly and didn't mind me hanging out and not purchasing a ton.

The Blarney Irish Pub, located in downtown, is a beloved hangout spot offering a wide selection of pub fare and an extensive range of brews. The pub hosts live music from Thursday to Saturday, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Its menu features creative dishes such as reuben egg rolls, potato latkes with corned beef and Swiss cheese, Irish Boxty with corned beef and braised cabbage on potato pancakes, and Shepherds pie made with ground lamb and caramelized carrots.
Probably the best shepherd’s pie I’ve ever had! We went for a weekday lunch, and it had a relaxed and chilled vibe. I can imagine this place would be buzzing and fun at night! They also have a great selection of alcohol to choose from. Highly recommend!

Went here before Monster Jam at Huntington centre on St.Patricks weekend and it was the best place to stop to start our day. Our server was Kristen S and she was fantastic. Told her we were from Ontario for the days events and she made us feel welcomed and had real conversation with us. Explained the menu items in detail with her recommendations. Went with the fish n chips and even though every place usually has that on their menu for an Irish establishment, it was down right excellent. She took good care of us and had the extra time because the crowds were not coming in at our early arrival, before our 1pm event. Place is well decorated not just for St.Patricks weekend but great decor through out. Lots of space with outdoor covered patio and clean bathrooms. Great location and easy access to surrounding areas.

Planning my husband's military retirement ceremony from out of state was challenging, but Blarney's Irish Pub in Toledo made it seamless. Special recognition goes to Leesy Parish, their exceptional coordinator, who maintained consistent communication with us for months, offered valuable adjustments and recommendations, and was incredibly helpful with every detail from menu to parking. The event room was perfect for our needs, providing ample space for the presentation of colors, flag folding ceremony, and even allowing the kids to play. The pasta bar catering was ideal for our guests, and the open bar service was just right. The workers who worked our event were helpful and informative. Despite planning from Biloxi, MS, everything came together perfectly. Blarney's helped us create a memorable military retirement ceremony, and I would highly recommend their venue and services to anyone.

Went in for a fine Irish meal after a training session for work. Was greeted by a friendly waitress and served a cold Guinness draft. Food was great and finished it off with a baseball game next door. 2 thumbs up!

What a staple to the downtown community. Blarney has so many amazing appetizers that it was hard to choose what we wanted. We got the spinach artichoke dip, which is AMAZING!! This Irish pub had many historical piecesto look at. Waitress was so personable. Can't wait to travel back to Toledo to show others this great restaurant!

Been coming here for years. Great food, never had bad service. But if the owner reads these reviews I hope you all consider cutting back on the sauce particularly on your wraps. Too much sauce on the buffalo chicken wraps as well as the Caesar. I'm not sure if that's the way it comes but it's always been very heavy on the sauce. Other than that, I'd reccomend this place to anyone visiting as a place to go to while in town.
Dave N — Google review
This was my third time eating at this location and I am finally getting around to writing a review. Before a Mud Hens game we enjoy a cold Smethwick's and dinner. The Patio area is nice during the summer months. Last Friday they had a some what popular band on the patio. The entertainment sounded great but needed to chill so we ate in the bar for the fist time. We have always had GREAT service at this location. The waiter and waitress are quick and very friendly. I think it was the manager who stopped at our table and asked how things were - then brought us a vinegar we needed for the AMAZING fries! My husband tried the Classic Celtic Reuben (Slow cooked corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on grilled marble rye) that was super fresh and served hot! I always go for the Fish and Chips with slaw - THE BEST in Toledo. Can't wait to visit this spot again soon before a Game.
Bren H — Google review
Overall great experience. We were sat quite quickly and food took about 10 minutes to come out. The food was pretty good. Service was good even though it was a hockey night and the place was packed. Only complaint is that they gave me tomato on my burger when I asked for it to be removed. However, since it's a small mistake and just 1 ingredient, I won't act like Justin Hayes and cuss out the workers over a minor inconvenience. Would come back again. 👌

Food is solid.. good portions and definitely worth it, though not the tastiest I’ve ever had. Mondays are my favorite with the dollar wings deal, and I’ve never had a bad experience with the service here. The staff is always friendly and on point. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is the atmosphere at the bar. I’m a bar girly, love to sit and eat/drink there, but smoking is allowed right at the bar. Nothing kills a tasty burger or plate of wings faster than a cloud of cigarette smoke drifting your way. I really wish they’d limit smoking, especially since food is such a big part of their draw, or at least push it back to after a certain time. That said, I’ve always had a good time here and met friendly people, so I’ll definitely keep coming back and just *hope* no one is smoking at the bar lol

Tried this place on a whim. Pub chips were very good could use a little more queso. The big mac on steroids was pretty tasty. The fried buttermilk chicken sandwich was huge and cooked to perfection. Glad we stopped by. The bowling next was a little noisy. Probably would have been a 5 star but prices seemed high.

Resoundingly meh and somewhat frustrating experience on a Wednesday evening. Came in, seated ourselves (as the sign says), it took 15 minutes to be greeted and get menus. When we ordered, the waiter misheard several things. We never ended up receiving our appetizer as the waiter never put it in. We waited 40 minutes to an hour to get our food. When my burger arrived, it was room temperature. Eggs at room temp are pretty blegh. The waiter never stopped by again, except to bring the check. I never got a refill of my drink. I left thirsty. The restaurant was mostly empty, for reference. It seems they struggle on slow days; I’ve been here on busy days and had a fine time. Be cautious if you see the restaurant half-empty. You might have a rough time.

Firs ttime there, I was with a group of friends so great time. Once again the people you surrounded make the difference. I will never order french fries again , Awful... and our waitress replaced them and for me looks like she did not. Great atmosphere. Good vibes.

Perched atop the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel, The Heights is a stylish rooftop bar in downtown Toledo offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the Maumee River and skyline. Whether you're sipping on a craft cocktail or enjoying small bites and wood-fired pizza, this rustic-chic bar provides an inviting atmosphere to unwind. With outdoor seating for warm weather and floor-to-ceiling windows for cooler months, guests can revel in the panoramic cityscape year-round.
Amazing view and atmosphere and I love the seasonal/changing menu. The manager Evan made sure we had an amazing night and despite a busy restaurant, the staff and service were fantastic. My favorite place to take out of town family and friends and clients and I can’t recommend enough! Definitely go to their 4th of July fireworks party too for the best view

I’ve tried this place several times, and each time have sadly walked away feeling thoroughly disappointed. I really want to love it, the space is beautiful, lovely views, laid out and decorated nicely, but the experience is always less than mediocre. We booked a table for ten for happy hour. Many in our group were looking forward to the $5 draft beers on happy hour……their CO2 was out, so drafts weren’t available, and they refused to honor the $5 for bottles and cans, they would’ve made a lot more revenue from our table had they honored this. How does a restaurant/bar who advertises $5 drafts not have CO2 and we were told by our server it had been out for days?? It makes no sense. This should have been easily remedied. Next, we go to order the half priced appetizers and two of the main apps most in our group wanted to order weren’t available. It left two of us in our group having nothing but French fries for dinner. I don’t know if it’s poor management, but that’s what it appears from the outside looking in. Again, I’ve once again walked away from this place with a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. Sad that a space that great is ran so poorly, it has the potential for greatness if it fell into the proper hands and management.

A very nice restaurant with friendly service and a very interesting interior. It has huge windows and is located on a high floor, so you can admire the beautiful panorama of the neighborhood. There are several rooms and a huge terrace with tables. It's clean and spacious, and the service is very friendly. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was very tasty, and the fries were amazing! I went with a group of friends and everyone praised the food! The prices are reasonable. I really recommend it. The only downside is that it's crowded, so I recommend making a reservation.

It has a lovely view from the 12th floor overlooking the river. The staff were friendly and answered the questions promptly. We were with our pup and we were accommodated accordingly. We had a great time, our pup really enjoyed the view and friendly hi's. The service can be improved as we had to wait over 30 minutes for our pizza. Overall well done!

Came to the Heights for a birthday bash in adjoining areas of this restaurant. Awesome facility with great views of downtown Toledo and the river. Some of the food we had included pork sliders and also Waygu sliders. These were tasty and let's face it, you will eat more than one. The charcuterie platter was very solid and I part liked the prime rib which was medium rare which is how I really like it. The desserts 🍪 included tiramisu cake, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate chip cookies. The cookies in particular were soft and had great texture, just like mom's! If you want a great venue with superb outdoor views, this is your spot!

The view here is really beautiful ,probably the best part of the experience, and honestly, it kind of makes up for the service. Our server was super friendly and clearly doing their best, but they were definitely stretched too thin. It looked like they were handling way too many tables, so we ended up waiting quite a while for even small things. Not ideal, but they stayed kind and accommodating the whole time, which I appreciated.

Review of The Heights Restaurant – Toledo We had a wonderful dining experience at The Heights, made even better by the company of great friends. The food exceeded our expectations. We started with the baked gouda appetizer, which was rich and flavorful. The cheese and pepperoni pizzas were a hit with everyone at the table. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad — the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the portion was generous. One of my friends had the steak frites and absolutely loved it. The highlight, beyond the food, was the stunning view. With its panoramic overlook of the water, The Heights offers an ideal setting for a date night or an evening out with drinks. A memorable experience all around.

Yikes. Time has taken a toll on what used to be a good experience with good food and drinks. Their tiki experience on Tuesday should be advertised as a run down hut on the side of a no name road. The only tiki experience was it being 90 degrees in the restaurant. The Chicago egg rolls had dry beef, mayo passing as garlic aioli, and one baby pepper hiding as the gardenia spicy peppy concoction supposedly in it. Their pizzas went from being some of the best pizzas in town to id rather throw a totinos in a microwave and call it a day because it would be thicker and more crispy than whatever I just ate was. So sad, this could’ve been such a great spot.

Black Cloister Brewing Company, located in Ohio, pays homage to a German Trappist brewery in Wittenberg and the historical figure Martin Luther. The brewery offers a diverse selection of brews, from the toasty Viennese-style Casilda of Toledo lager to the citrusy Pale Rider APA. In addition to their beer offerings, they have partnered with local restaurants and eateries for food delivery straight to the tasting room.
Great bar, amazing food with a variety of local craft brews. I come here for trivia nights on Tuesdays and there is often a live band. Definitely recommend this place.

Toledo OH is home of Black Cloister Brewery! They have a good beer style variety. We had a couple a of their beer. The imperial IPA ( black cloister Passion of grist) well balance hops. Gentle to the taste with fruity notes. Philip's lager is full-flavored with a balance of malty sweetness contrasted by hop spiciness and a smooth finish.
Oscar C — Google review
They have a good beer selection and some food options. Pretzels, pizza. Bar food, but not really a restaurant. Dark, friendly atmosphere. Great for catching up with friends or a place to stop before or after an event.
Chris B — Google review
Good beer and okay atmosphere. There are definitely better breweries out there... Ones with more character, for instance. The servers are friendly, though they tend to take a more hands-off approach to service. I will say that the pretzels are delicious, but over priced. Do check the rates of nearby parking carefully. A lot in one block one direction was $20 and a block in the other direction was only $5.

Had a Vienna Lager and an ArMOUNDgeddon. Both were delicious and we'll executed. Pizza was good for brewery food. Also tried the Mac and cheese bites - not bad but not for us. Will be back next time we're I'm in town.

I used to love coming to this store. Great customer service, great selection and fair. I say I used to love coming to this store until we were profiled by the owner who stared and jeered at us as we were trying to select our items. I never felt so disrespected, and I had a pocket full of money. I will never come back to this racist man's establishment. What makes it worse was that there were other customers who didn't quite look like us who were not subjected to this type of treatment. I'll spread the word about this owner. If he can't respect us then he doesn't deserve our business.

Restaurant
Toledo Spirits Company, specifically Bellwether, is a cocktail bar and kitchen that offers inventive cocktails made with carefully combined flavors from around the world. The food menu consists of small plates or finger foods that are flavorful and filling enough to be considered a meal when shared. Visitors praise the brave combinations of cocktails that just work and the delicious variety of food options.
Toledo Spirits offers a captivating dichotomy: a vibrant, soon-to-be-missed "Heavy Beer Bar" downstairs, and an elegant, sophisticated cocktail lounge upstairs. Downstairs, The "Heavy Beer Bar" exudes a trendy dive bar vibe. With a limited but thoughtfully curated selection of craft beers on tap and an inviting atmosphere featuring a table, a small bar, and a dedicated pinball corner, it's a haven for beer enthusiasts. Upstairs, The main lounge area is where Toledo Spirits truly shines. Rich wood accents, warm ambient lighting, and splashes of vibrant color create an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere. Seating options abound, ranging from comfortable lounge sofas to stylish high-top tables and a well-appointed bar. We opted for a corner table near the large windows, and the evening view of the illuminated river was simply breathtaking. While we focused on cocktails during our visit, past experiences have consistently highlighted the quality of their food menu. We highly recommend exploring their culinary offerings. The cocktail menu is a testament to creativity and craftsmanship. It features a captivating array of innovative concoctions with thoughtful liquor pairing suggestions, alongside a selection of classic cocktails, wines, beers, and even non-alcoholic options. My house red wine (Cabernet) was exceptionally smooth, and the other cocktails we sampled were visually stunning and incredibly flavorful. Our server, Ashley, was a true gem. Her bubbly personality, friendly demeanor, and expert guidance in navigating the drink menu made our experience truly enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a leisurely evening. Toledo Spirits offers more than just drinks. A well-stocked bottle shop showcases their own spirits, merchandise, and a curated selection of other beverages. We also observed a captivating mixology class in progress, adding an intriguing element to the overall experience. Overall Toledo Spirits is a unique and captivating destination. With its diverse offerings, from the lively "Heavy Beer Bar" to the elegant cocktail lounge, coupled with exceptional service and a captivating ambiance, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable experience in Toledo

We loved our first visit to Toledo Spirits. A cocktail class brought us in but the friendly service, awesome atmosphere and delicious drinks made it an easy choice to stay for a while. Hats off to the owners that designed this space. There are cozy seating nooks, table seating and bar seating. Prices are reasonable, drinks are unique and refreshing. They also offer a specialized menu offering a variety of vegan, vegetarian and regular dining options. Our party of 6 had a great experience and we look forward to coming back!

Run, don’t walk to Toledo spirits new brunch! My husband I enjoyed the vibe , the cocktails and the food! Logan took great care of us this morning. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful also. We had the bacon vodka bloody Mary’s which were fabulous! My husband loved the sausage gravy and biscuits best in town! I had the biscuits with the mushroom gravy, also delicious! I think you just can’t go wrong there. We took an almond croissant 🥐 to go which was in fact a “ bomb ass “ croissant! 😂 we HIGHLY recommend Toledo Spirits for brunch , lunch , dinner or just cocktails.

Oh darn I forgot to get photos and so now I have to go back 😉 Went as a party of six to the boozy brunch. Food was INCREDIBLE- between us we got the biscuits and gravy (so good), handover flatbread (wonderful), two shrimp and grits (loved), the croqué monsieur (made my husband trade me so I could eat it), and the Spanish tortilla (looked incredible, didn’t try a bite!) and then various beverages. They were out of the white peach sangria and so I was given a senorita sunrise and it was (surprise, surprise) SO good. The ambiance is great, the service was phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back!

I recently visited Brew House in downtown Toledo and was impressed by the beautiful ambiance. The interior is cozy and well-designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, my overall experience was disappointing due to the service we received. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and planned to sit and enjoy our cheesecake. Despite informing the staff, we were handed to-go cups, and our dessert was packed to go, making us feel unwelcome from the start. Throughout our time there, we were given multiple warnings about the time, which felt excessive and rushed. At 2:57 PM, just before closing, we were given a hard time about using the bathroom before leaving, which added to the unpleasant experience. Additionally, a staff member began sweeping right next to our table a5 240pm, while we were still eating, which felt rude and inconsiderate. I understand the importance of closing on time, but the way it was handled made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I wouldn’t return. It’s a shame because the ambiance and potential for a great visit were there, but the rushed and dismissive service overshadowed it.

Such a cool little place in Downtown Toledo. We've been here a few times and enjoy the Speakeasy vibe. Jordan is a great Bartender, and makes an excellent Dirty Martini. Tip: go during happy hour for $5 off Wine and Martinis.

One of the best the city has to offer. Coffee is great quality, so good I debate getting black coffee instead of lattes sometimes. Simple food, but still really good. Bar selection is quite good for a small spot with great atmosphere. A bit pricey, but it's worth it here.

My daughter brought me here for the first time on my birthday. We did not eat here, just had a few drinks. I thought it was a classy place. Even got to listen to some jazz while we were there. I'd definitely go again!

They only offered one small size for the nitro cold brew and said they had no iced coffee. Added half and half and a white mocha syrup to sweeten/add flavor and costs an extra $1.25 so my tiny nitro cold brew costed $5.75. The barista taking my order called me Jake when I told her my name was Jane and I said that “Jake is a boy’s name” and she said “you never know.” My cold brew was extremely bitter even with the syrup. I even added 2 Truvias and still could barely drink 1/8 of it since it was so bitter. I ended up throwing the rest away on my way to my car. The place is nicely decorated, looks unique, comfortable place to chat with a friend, that’s the only positive thing I could say from my first time here but that’s not enough for me to want to come back since their coffee is so bitter.

Great Black Swamp Brewing Co. is a gem nestled in Toledo, known for being the city's second oldest brewery. In 2022, they expanded their offerings with a new taproom in south Toledo, joining the ranks of other local breweries that are also on the rise. With an impressive selection of over 25 beers on tap, there's something to satisfy every palate. Visitors rave about the vibrant atmosphere and friendly bartenders who enhance the experience.
They have a great selection from fancy crafty beers to your standard easy drinking beer. They also make their own seltzers! It’s my favorite neighborhood place, it’s big so there’s always room for you even in a crowd. They have a variety of events and they’re always fun, we bring our pups to enjoy a night out. Edit for my prior review: beer is now ice cold and so refreshing! Changing to 5 stars! Love this place! My husband and I love going to Great Black Swamp. The atmosphere is fun, the beer is good and the bartenders are super friendly. The only criticism we would give is the beer is room temperature and almost always flat! We go here a few times a year hoping they improve the beer experience (cold and fresh)!!! We will still support this business. Just wish they had a comment box in house that we could reply to!!!

All Crumbs Bakery has made a delightful mark in Toledo's culinary scene, operating out of the uptown area for over a year. While they are preparing to open their storefront in Adams Village, you can currently find their delectable selection at the Toledo Farmers' Market every Saturday. This bustling market is where locals flock to grab their favorite baked goods, and it's easy to see why—there’s often a line that speaks volumes about the quality of their offerings.
AMAZING food. Even more amazing dude. I love that he truly gives back to the community and helps others who need it most. I can’t give enough props to this guy! 10/10 you need to try his bread and baked goods ASAP. So much talent in one man. There’s a reason we wait in a long line every weekend to buy his stuff :) BUT you can also preorder so do that!

Listen. I don't know why these people are in Toledo but I'm glad they are. They could go anywhere. I've never been jealous of another baker's abilities like this before. Every time I eat a croissant pretzel I daydream about quitting my job and apprenticing here. Immaculate skill. Don't listen to that French guy. Best time to get them is Saturday at the market downtown.

This is hands down the best bakery for breads and pastries in Toledo. All Crumbs comes to the Toledo Farmers Market on Saturday and there is always a line for a reason. As far as recommendations go... Their croissants (chocolate ans regular) are to die for along with danishes, Uptown Funk sour dough, and multigrain bread. I've had many items from their menu and not a single one has been disappointing, but I loved the aforementioned items. You need to try these baked goods. Very highly recommended.
