Tony Packo's Restaurant is a long-standing Hungarian-American eatery that has been serving authentic Hungarian cuisine in Toledo since 1932. The menu features classic dishes like chicken paprikas, stuffed cabbage, homemade chili and soups, and their famous chili hot dog. The restaurant gained widespread recognition when it was mentioned in the TV show M*A*S*H. Visitors can also see foam replicas of celebrity-signed Packo buns on display.
I love this place. This was only the third time eating here. I have enjoyed my experience every time so far. I plan on returning as soon as I can. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is awesome and I love the history to the restaurant. I love looking at the celebrities autographs that are all over this place. It is amazing to find the signatures of my favorite artists.
Gwen G — Google review
This is a crazy place, with a constant parade of diners moving in and out. In spite of the crowd, the wait was reasonable, and the staff kept everything moving right along. The food was good, but I don't see what all the hype is about in that regard. The best part about Tony Packo's is the atmosphere with a nostalgic diner vibe, and...the signed hot dog buns. I was unaware of all the celebrity-signed buns, preserved in individual cases, and displayed throughout the premises. The scope of this was beyond impressive. What a massive collection, with signatures from actors, politicians, musicians, athletes, and the like. Truly iconic and historic individuals. It's worth going for that reason alone. And...grab a hot dog while there just to have had one. Overall a fun place that has a lot of history.
Dan O — Google review
With an overnight stay in Toledo, I wanted to try a cuisine that I was not familiar with. Doing a Yelp search, I found a place that served Hungarian food. The restaurant was eccentric - decorated with all kinds of autographed hot dogs, human figured statues, and other amusing things to look at. Their store has unusual and interesting products. I found the hot dogs too salty that I could not finish. The pierogis were not flavorful, not tender or had enough filling. I never had fried pickles before so I thought it would be much more crispier. The stuffed cabbage was tender, delicious and flavorful. Mac and Cheese was good - just enough cheese and liquidly. It's a delightful place to visit - unusual, excellent service and had good positive vibrations. Based on the reviews, I was expecting something more. I was more into the food rather than the atmosphere and environment. I am giving this four stars because I did not think the food was that good - it's more comfort food at reasonable prices. It was not Hungarian enough for me.
Pamela L — Google review
This restaurant was recommended. My husband and I were staying near the area for a few days. We stopped in for lunch and was greeted with a line of people waiting to order (which we were expecting). It reminds us of portillo's and how their ordering system is. I ordered an original dog and a side of Cole slaw. My husband ordered the perogies and Mac and cheese. Food was good (i didnt care for the spicy dill pickles), atmosphere was interesting (in a good way), it was easy to find parking. Would recommend.

We came from Indiana and had to try this place. We ordered the hotdog/chili/cabbage roll. Everything was delicious. We loved the chili. Our waitress was nice. A good experience for my family! It was a little pricey. ***

I grew up watching M*A*S*H with my family and have camped at Maumee Bay State park a number of times. One of the people we met at the campground highly recommended Tony Packo’s to visit. We brought our friends and had a very nice time in the bar area for a late lunch. We liked it so much, we returned to purchase hotdogs to put in our freezer (we BBQ’d them and they were excellent) We will return again in a few days with additional friends that want to go too. Two of us had the famous hotdogs, one a cabbage roll and another had the chicken (with paprika). All were good. The atmosphere is great, fun history, best merchandise store with many things to choose from.

Great overall experience. We sat at a high top table in the bar area. Connie (16 year employee! ) was our helpful barkeep. Friendly staff, and our food was terrific. Enjoyed the locally brewed IPA. Check out the gift shop, or you'll regret it.
Karl S — Google review
This is a historic diner. I absolutely love the decor inside, so much to take in. You can sit in the bar area and be served or order at the counter and then pick your seat. The staff is very nice and helpful. They serve chili hotdogs, stuffed cabbage, fried pickles, etc. I got the chili and cheese pierogies, and they were fantastic. Their hot dogs are really good as well. There is also a small gift shop with t-shirts, pickles, chili, hot dogs, etc. I definitely recommend checking them out. I know, for a fact, that I will be back.

The staff was incredibly friendly and I really enjoyed the entire night. cocktails were off the chart, truly incredible. every dish and every dessert we ate was well worth the price which was nowhere near as bad as you'd think for food this fancy. I highly recommend getting your seafood on here in Toledo

Not bad - the food. We ended coming here cuz most places around town was closed. The food was surprisingly good and portion (lunch) size were perfect.

Everything was excellent! House Old Fashion was fantastic 🥃 Dynamite 🧨 Shrimp 🍤 was very fresh! Lobster was very sweet and delicious! Steak was cooked properly and good! If I had any suggestions it would be cooking method of steak. I’m not complaining just suggesting maybe a better method to sear in juices and flavor. Overall 5/5

I came here rather late like an hour before close l..just wanted some dessert to go and I grabbed a mocktail at the bar. They were super nice and accommodating..dim lights/grown atmosphere

Great restaurant, excellent service, delicious food. Got the chowder, spicy salmon and tacos. All great. I wish there were 3 tacos instead of two but oh well. Food was out fast and fresh. Only one slight mark was the first round of bread was a little hard and not superb but the second round was fresh and so soft and tasty. Spicy salmon done rare was the move with a cup of chowder beforehand. On the river, outdoor and indoor seating, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The biggest kicker was the menu. They're DIGITAL. You get a tablet for the menu and every item has a picture of the food if you click on it so you know exactly what you're getting. Top tier idea. Well executed.

Food and service was excellent. Definitely recommend. Go multiple times. I will. The risotto was absolutely delicious.

Food was ok and atmosphere was nice! But taste and portion size does NOT justify price.

Great atmosphere for being a cold winter night. Came here with a few coworkers and we're sat down right away. Once at our seats we were created by a friendly staff who offered us the specials of the day. They were laughing and joking with you l, which is always a plus. Meal came out promptly from the kitchen and nothing cold. During the evening the manger came over asked how we were doing which was a nice touch when you are in a place like that. My dish was really good but my coworker got the African Lobster Tail and they said it was a little rubbery and when I looked it didn't really cut "like butter". But I thought the butter over the candle was a nice touch to the plate. Would I go back definitely. I would suggest everyone seeing this post to do the same. I would like to go back when the weather is nice and maybe sit outside by the water.

Rosie's Italian Grille is a charming restaurant located in Toledo, offering a cozy Tuscan ambiance with dim lighting and a lovely patio area. It's part of the 2022 Restaurant Week Toledo lineup, showcasing its delectable pasta, pizza, and hearty meat and fish dishes. Tucked away at McCord and Nebraska, Rosie's is often referred to as 'Toledo's Best-Kept Secret.'
Most excellent dinner options. I suggest making a reservation for any meal time as this restaurant is always busy. The food is delicious, the drinks are wonderful, and the desserts divine. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us excellent suggestions! We will most definitely be going back. The Honey Crusted Chicken and Chicken Marcella were our dinner choices.
Joey S — Google review
We had a GREAT time last night celebrating a family birthday at Rosie’s Italian Grille. With a party of six our wait was only eight minutes; not bad at all. The food, service, and atmosphere were all good, and they even handled a couple of special requests with no issues at all. The "fresh catch of the day" is offered in any of five different styles. I opted for Grouper, "Cajun Key West"; cajun seasoning, citrus seared, with a salsa of pineapple, mango, and strawberry... an excellent choice. We also also did Manicotti plus meatballs (I’m told they were delicious), Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and chicken, Honey Goat Crispy Chicken, Fettuccine with grilled Chicken, and another fresh catch of the day as Halibut “Beurre Blanc”; sautéed with a white wine lemon butter caper sauce. We topped all that off with great desserts. Everyone was VERY happy with their choices in food as well as our choice in restaurants! We’d gladly do it all again. VERY ENJOYABLE !! Thank you !!

This restaurant offers a wide variety of great Italian food. Quality ingredients, great service, nice portions and clean. Our server, Gracie brought us oil and warm bread with our drinks. We enjoyed soup, pizza and pasta w sauce. It was fantastic. $20/pp on average plus drinks.
Sami A — Google review
Great place to eat food is amazing nice variety of Italian cuisine and fresh seafood. The chicken Marsala is super good as is the honey crusted chicken. Make reservations though cause it can get packed. Reservations are confirmed through yelp so you know your set. Server in our opinion was perfectly attentive and did a great job meeting our needs!
David W — Google review
Food was fine overall, some dishes were good such as the fish dip appetizer and seafood and mushroom entree. Others such as the bruschetta and shrimp and lobster pasta were on the bland side. Our server was great which helped, and it’s a nice place and well maintained. Portions were very large which was nice, and they have a good beer selection. We left very full and I’d come back if others in a group wanted to but don’t know if I’d seek this place out myself.
Ben M — Google review
This is our 3rd time coming to Rosie’s. We travel an hour away & the food never disappoints! For the appetizer we ordered the bruschetta which was delicious. Our main entrees were the chicken parm and the rigatoni one with a house salad & the other a Cesar salad. For dessert we did the brownie sundae which was the best part of the meal 😋 Overall, the food was delicious and very tasty. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Courtney K — Google review
VERY GOOD FOOD! The portion was way bigger than I thought i was going to get. Well worth the price for the amount of food I got. The pasta i believe is 100% homemade (not verified by staff), but the taste and appearance i would say it was. Manicotti was also served but had no picture. Pictured is the shrimp and lobster pasta and hot bread. My salad was REALLY good, I got a raspberry vinaigrette, and it was amazing with my salad. Service got 4 out of 5 because not really keeping up on drinks for what I would call a slower night, wasn't super busy, was a Wednesday night around 7pm.

Amazing dessert selection! Jumbolaya spicy and authentic! Nick the server was the icing on the cake!

Ye Olde Durty Bird is a historic tavern housed in an 1867 building, offering a diverse menu featuring inventive burgers. Located in downtown Toledo, this establishment is celebrated for its wide selection of beers and classic American dishes. The venue's charming ambiance is enhanced by live music and friendly service, making it a popular choice among craft beer enthusiasts. With positive customer reviews highlighting the excellent burgers and welcoming atmosphere, Ye Olde Durty Bird has become a beloved fixture in the local dining scene.
Food was top notch. My husband got a chef special cheese steak with fries and I got chicken salad sandwich on croissant with Brussels sprouts and we shared a beer. There was plenty to take with us for later! Fantastic service! Loved the atmosphere. Really cool building, clean and historic. We will definitely come back if we ever drive through Toledo again.

The food was was a big let down. We went before a Mud Hens game and were very surprised to get a table right away. My husband ordered a bloody Mary which he said was perfect with a big kick of pepper. I ordered the Po Boy and he ordered the Big Italian. The service was perfect! She was on top of everything! Finally our food came and it looked better then I could of imagine. How did something that looked so great have such little flavor. The Big Italian was so bland. The only thing you could make out on the sandwhich was the pepperoni. Now I knew my Po Boy was going to have Tabasco sauce but that was all I could smell and taste. For the price of the food and drinks I don't think we'll be back.
Tara — Google review
Marvelous downtown T-town establishment that has lots of what you want in a good gastro/bar pub. Spacious, inviting atmosphere and patio, and staffed well. At the bar, I ordered the Pimento cheese and bacon burger with fries. The 1/2 pound of beef was solid and juicy, the bacon crispy, and pimento was tremendous. Fries were very good. I paired it with a Crunchy Hippie granola brown ale from Earnest Brew Works. A good complimentary dark beer that allows your palette to reset. Aside from the food, bartender was quite service-friendly, inviting so I would definitely return to Olde Durty Bird again!
Daran T — Google review
The Greek Crispy Bird is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Ever. The chicken is so so crispy and the tzatziki and feta and vegetables are great. Beautiful space, lovely welcoming hostess and warm professional server. I have an unusual but simple food allergy and our server and the kitchen were great about it. Everything about this place is just perfect.
Magda P — Google review
The food taste great and is nice and hot and full of flavor. The service was kind and calm while taking there time but getting their job done. They were playing some broke heart music so it wasn't so upbeat but after a bit it was changed. (Food photo is a meatball sub)
Summer K — Google review
Don't waste time looking for street parking like I did, they have a parking lot, it's just not obvious to 1st time visitors. There's a tree lined fence next to the patio that conceals it somewhat. Food was great. My fish n' chips were fried to perfection. I was just in Toledo on a day trip, but if I'm there again, I'd definitely revisit.

Was pretty busy since it's near the ball field so was little wait, but great burger.

6/26/25 - Wonderful lunch! Chicken soup, hot and fabulous with plenty of chicken and vegetables. Plus and turkey sandwich on a fantastic rye. They just know how to it!! New review 12/27/2024... Yep, becoming repetitive, but again, another great experience, food, and service! Hot and fresh chicken noodle soup, so good! Grilled cheese, tomato, and bacon sandwich, very good, only issue...bacon not crisp. French fries, hot, crispy, and delicious. Overall, a great lunch! New review 9/17/2023. Wonderful chicken soup, fresh homemade, and hot. Excellent turkey sandwich and, importantly, excellent service from Tayor. I'm never disappointed and again, a great meal!! Excellent soups! Great service as well! First time there, definitely not the last. Nice to have a pub/restaurant with quality food!

Schmucker's Restaurant is a charming diner that has been serving classic American fare and comfort food since 1948. The homey atmosphere, with its yellow brick walls and original phone booth and lunch counter, takes you back in time. They offer a wide variety of dishes, from seafood to breakfast to home-style cooking. However, what sets them apart is their mouthwatering selection of over 20 flavors of pie.
Great diner experience. We stopped in for brunch and we were not disappointed. The home fries are crisp and delicious! I loved the garden omelette and my family member loved the burger. Be sure to save room for pie, yum! Our server seemed really rushed and annoyed but aside from that it was a great experience!
Carrie J — Google review
Cozy but bland Drove through the area and decided to try this diner during a busy lunch rush. There were no empty tables, so we had to wait a bit, which made us hopeful that the food would be amazing, given that it’s a popular local spot. Our waitress was accommodating, helpful, and kind, but the food was rather bland. The roast beef and roast beef sandwich lacked any flavour, and the gravy was mildly flavoured. The turkey club was decent; it was a little dry but still quite good. The portions were enormous; one plate could easily serve 1.5 people. The pricing is very affordable. I noticed that most of the patrons were elderly, so perhaps the food was tailored to their tastes. However, overall, I found it lacking in flavour.

Vintage classic all American diner! Super homey, feels like you’re in a small town here where locals come to eat and enjoy talking to each other. Service was great! Food was good! The pies were phenomenal! No complaints here. Enjoyed everything about this diner! Would love to come back again!

Normally we dine earlier in the day and have breakfast, today however we picked up our grand daughter from camp and asked her if she wanted to go to Smuckers for dinner. My wife explained the 75 year history of the diner and how their pies were super good. That convinced her, so we stopped in. Our 11year old studied the menu and selected fried chicken, while we ordered Blimpy Burgers. I told her normally kids order burgers and adults chicken and she laughed. The fried chicken was done to perfection and the Burgers and fries were excellent. Our server was really good. We like the old time feel of the diner great ambiance. We were full, so we ordered pies to go after all what would it be like to eat at Smuckers and not get a pie.The pies were terrific Dutch Apple, chocolate and of course Key Lime! Well worth the stop!! I forgot to mention the fries are the best in town!

Experience time travel and some real good home cooked food. I haven't been to Schmuker's in 20 years. It's just as I remember. It's all good guys. Huge portions! Pick a dinner and get the FULL COURSE. Your dinner will end with the best homemade pie you ever ate! Treat yourself or your family!

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. We got the steak bite appetizer, Cesar salad, the $130 steak for two, and the baked mac and cheese. No drinks this time but the final bill was just over 200 bucks. Everything tasted great and we were good and full afterward. They brought my wife out a card and small desert for her birthday. They even packed up thr bone to take home for our dog, which he absolutely loved as well. Would recommend this restaurant for any big celebrations in your life.

I enjoyed my time here for our early Mother’s Day dinner. Everything was delicious. Their drinks were really good as well. We had the strawberry lemon drop and raspberry martini. Our waitress was terrific.
Jewels J — Google review
Wow and wow. The food was exquisite. The service was excellent. My husband and I had dinner with my brother and brother-in-law at this beautiful restaurant in September of last year. I'm only now getting to the review. I had to review this restaurant, despite my delay, because I loved it so much. We celebrated my birthday at The Chop House. I can't imagine a better place to celebrate. From the moment we walked in the door, our every need was addressed - often by more than one server and at one point by the manager. The atmosphere was beyond beautiful. Little to no noise in the restaurant and beautiful views. The tables were appropriately spaced, so you didn't feel crowded. Our wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. They didn't miss a beat. If your drink was low, they asked if you needed another. I had a fabulous margarita. Two lovely waitresses shook my drink tableside. Before we ordered, we were given an electroni menu that accurately described the different types of steaks and specifically described steak temperatures. From the menu, "we take our beef pretty seriously at the Chop House . . ." They weren't lying. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. I oredred french onion soup before dinner. It was the perfect size. It was delicious. I'll order the same thing I ordered for dinner my first time at the Chop House, the next time I visit. It was just that good. My husband had the chop salad. He loved it - especially the sugar crusted pecans. I had steak and lobster for my entree. My steak was perfectly cooked. My lobster was perfectly seasoned, popped from the shell so easy to manage, and also perfectly cooked. I loved my meal. My husand had tenderloin. It, too, was perfectly cooked. The presentation for all of our meals was off the charts. We ordered mushrooms, mac-n-cheese, and green beans to share. Everything was so good. (We took a lot of food home!) I loved that the dessert menu was also on an Ipad, because it made deciding what to order so much easier. I selected the smoked chocolate Mousse Pie. It was made on an oreo crust, with chocolate mouse, whip cream and rasberry. Out of this world. Because we were celebrating my birthday, the dessert came out for the table with a candle. So lovely and thoughtful. With the tip, for four adults, the bill was just over $500. I guess it is easy for me to say how worth it it was given my brother-in-law paid, but still I'd pay that amount again for the same experience. It truly wasn't just about how above par the food was, it was a combination of the atmosphere, the incredible wait staff and the excellent food. Best restaurant in Toledo.

amazing upscale white glove experience. I highly recommend to valet your vehicle for easy walk in experience I don't feel like looking for the parking garage. We were seated quickly only thing I didn't like was the tablet menu it was hard pressing the links for some of the menu items. we ordered lamb chop lollypops lobster bisque and for entree we got the pork chops and I got the beef Wellington. sides were extra but they are big enough to share you get like 5 pounds of smashed potatoes and that would of been enough for both of us but we got the asparagus too. staff was extremely attentive switching out plates and silverware the entire meal we were celebrating my girlfriends 40th and they brought us a dessert with a candle with was very nice. dress up for sure at this place. great experience

My husband & I drove 2 hours from near chagrin Falls, Ohio to try something different. I checked out restaurants within a couple hours from our house and the chophouse looked so beautiful had wonderful reviews & a lovely menu Rob was our Sever & he was fantastic!! He answered my many different questions about items on the menu. He explained things very clearly and had a wonderful fun sense of humor and New just want to come back & check on us We had 2 drinks which were really nice I had a nonalcoholic strawberry fizz, and my husband had a Bloody Mary Which he gets a lot of places, but said this one was really really good The popover rolls are to die for, but I only had half because I knew I would fill up lol For an appetizer, we had the shrimp & lobster bites, which were so delicious & very creative. I love restaurants that have different items than all the usual suspects lol my husband’s entree was the lamb chops and he added a lobster tail I had the crab and lobster crabcakes as a side we shared the au gratin potatoes & for dessert We had the bananas foster crème brûlée, which was next level ( My husband did not care for the salsa Verde that came with the lamb chops and the Gratin potatoes were just ok .. The garlic mashed chive potatoes sounded fantastic) The atmosphere is beautiful & the piano player was a lovely touch. We will definitely come back and try some of the other wonderful items they have on the menu

High quality food and dining experience. Best thing on the menu is the New York Strip (with roasted garlic, herbs and butter). Enjoyed the French Green beans as well.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday this year. This was the nicest restaurant and meal I ever had. Our waiter Rob was exceptional. Beautiful view and piano accompaniment. The food was amazing and they even gave us verbal instructions for the best reheat method cause we definitely ordered enough food to feed us both for 2 days. I will definitely be begging to go back

Exceeded all of my expectations! My husband chose this charming spot for our anniversary dinner, and it turned out to be even more delightful than I could have imagined. The night was serene, with snow gently falling, creating a quiet, intimate atmosphere. For the first part of our meal, we had the entire lower level to ourselves, which made the evening feel even more special. Our server was an absolute gem—such a beautiful soul! I told my husband that I wished she lived next door to us. Her warmth and kindness shone through, and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, making our experience even more memorable. The drinks were impeccable, and the dinner was beyond perfection. I had the veal, and it was simply divine—scrumptious, tender, and cooked to perfection. It was clear that every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. My husband truly couldn’t have picked a more charming, cozy spot for such a special occasion. As an added bonus, they offer valet service, which made the whole experience even more convenient. We’ll definitely be coming back!

First time there. Very comfortable and quiet setting. Tina was a wonderful and friendly server. I had the Greek Lemon soup and a white Lake Superior fish Piccata style. It was some of the best fresh water fish I have ever had. Great food. A must when you are in Toledo.

Food was amazing, and Tina was delightful. We were gifted our dinner by Ross Taylor, and what a gift it was! The lobster bisque was delightfully smooth and flavorful, and the steaks were tender and seasoned perfectly. We look forward to coming back!

If you know me, then you know I'm an avid food-aholic and I try and give props to places that are just amazing! Tonight's date night dinner was at Georgios which, if you're not familiar with the city, is a hidden gem. A family owned and run restaurant with a long running history, this place hit all the feels. Great classy intimate atmosphere without feeling stiff or stuffy, phenomenal food selection and preparation thanks to their talented chef and kitchen staff, and the service is above and beyond. Did I mention the valet parking as well? I mean... seriously! All the qualities of fine dining with a reputable reputation without high city prices. Don't get me wrong, don't expect to pay $20 for a plate! But be aware that you're getting a quality sumptuous dinner that's worth the price tag associated with it. I had the specialty trout topped with lump crab and he had the grass fed veal chop. Would definitely recommend giving this lovely place a try and we will most certainly be repeat patrons ❤️

Made a reservation for 8:30. Showed up at the door at 8:22. The door was locked, restaurant closed. As we walked up we saw the remaining two employees walk out the door, neither of them said a word as we were approaching. No head’s up that they were blowing off our reservation. If you are going to close early, don’t take reservations and then ignore them. We drove into town for this after a very long day. A courtesy call is the least they could have done for us. Rude. Update: Georgio’s called my husband and apologized for closing early. It seems there is a problem with OpenTable accepting reservations even when they aren’t supposed to. They invited us back for a meal to make things right. We came in for lunch a few days later. The hostess was kind and lovely and the server, Tina was truly great. She was warm and attentive. She brought the dinner menu out for us. The food was very good, I had the house made fettuccine and it was just right, perfect al dente. My husband’s halibut was perfectly cooked. I do recommend coming here with the advice that maybe you should make reservations the old fashioned way, over the phone. And it wouldn’t hurt to call and check if they are open if you are coming late in the evening. Toledo seems to be a quiet little city with enough customer ebb and flow that early closing is a possibility sometimes. The staff at Gorgio’s is welcoming and they will take care of you!

The food here is pretty gross. $50-$100 for a single person and you can tell everything is previously frozen, poorly seasoned, not traditional, and drowned in sauces to mask the poor food. Dive bars have better food.

Went with my husband on a date and it was amazing! The server we had was the sweetest lady. The menu is smaller but definitely worth it. I had the lamb and it just melted in my mouth. Cheesecake for dessert and it was so creamy! I definitely would come here again. However, it is very pricey (worth it) but keep it in mind before coming here.
Noone Y — Google review
Very friendly and kind staff. Veal picatta was fantastic and the NY strip was quite good as well. Cheesecake was a bit dry, but still not bad. Lobster bisque was some of the best I've ever had. Despite being very good food, I still feel it is overpriced. It's the only reason I didn't give 4 stars. If I'm going to spend $200 on dinner it should be better than very good. If main dishes were priced perhaps 20% less then I would give it a 5. Beyond that, no complaints at all. Nice, quaint restaurant!

Amazing view and atmosphere and I love the seasonal/changing menu. The manager Evan made sure we had an amazing night and despite a busy restaurant, the staff and service were fantastic. My favorite place to take out of town family and friends and clients and I can’t recommend enough! Definitely go to their 4th of July fireworks party too for the best view

I’ve tried this place several times, and each time have sadly walked away feeling thoroughly disappointed. I really want to love it, the space is beautiful, lovely views, laid out and decorated nicely, but the experience is always less than mediocre. We booked a table for ten for happy hour. Many in our group were looking forward to the $5 draft beers on happy hour……their CO2 was out, so drafts weren’t available, and they refused to honor the $5 for bottles and cans, they would’ve made a lot more revenue from our table had they honored this. How does a restaurant/bar who advertises $5 drafts not have CO2 and we were told by our server it had been out for days?? It makes no sense. This should have been easily remedied. Next, we go to order the half priced appetizers and two of the main apps most in our group wanted to order weren’t available. It left two of us in our group having nothing but French fries for dinner. I don’t know if it’s poor management, but that’s what it appears from the outside looking in. Again, I’ve once again walked away from this place with a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. Sad that a space that great is ran so poorly, it has the potential for greatness if it fell into the proper hands and management.

A very nice restaurant with friendly service and a very interesting interior. It has huge windows and is located on a high floor, so you can admire the beautiful panorama of the neighborhood. There are several rooms and a huge terrace with tables. It's clean and spacious, and the service is very friendly. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was very tasty, and the fries were amazing! I went with a group of friends and everyone praised the food! The prices are reasonable. I really recommend it. The only downside is that it's crowded, so I recommend making a reservation.

It has a lovely view from the 12th floor overlooking the river. The staff were friendly and answered the questions promptly. We were with our pup and we were accommodated accordingly. We had a great time, our pup really enjoyed the view and friendly hi's. The service can be improved as we had to wait over 30 minutes for our pizza. Overall well done!

Came to the Heights for a birthday bash in adjoining areas of this restaurant. Awesome facility with great views of downtown Toledo and the river. Some of the food we had included pork sliders and also Waygu sliders. These were tasty and let's face it, you will eat more than one. The charcuterie platter was very solid and I part liked the prime rib which was medium rare which is how I really like it. The desserts 🍪 included tiramisu cake, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate chip cookies. The cookies in particular were soft and had great texture, just like mom's! If you want a great venue with superb outdoor views, this is your spot!

The view here is really beautiful ,probably the best part of the experience, and honestly, it kind of makes up for the service. Our server was super friendly and clearly doing their best, but they were definitely stretched too thin. It looked like they were handling way too many tables, so we ended up waiting quite a while for even small things. Not ideal, but they stayed kind and accommodating the whole time, which I appreciated.

Review of The Heights Restaurant – Toledo We had a wonderful dining experience at The Heights, made even better by the company of great friends. The food exceeded our expectations. We started with the baked gouda appetizer, which was rich and flavorful. The cheese and pepperoni pizzas were a hit with everyone at the table. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad — the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the portion was generous. One of my friends had the steak frites and absolutely loved it. The highlight, beyond the food, was the stunning view. With its panoramic overlook of the water, The Heights offers an ideal setting for a date night or an evening out with drinks. A memorable experience all around.

Yikes. Time has taken a toll on what used to be a good experience with good food and drinks. Their tiki experience on Tuesday should be advertised as a run down hut on the side of a no name road. The only tiki experience was it being 90 degrees in the restaurant. The Chicago egg rolls had dry beef, mayo passing as garlic aioli, and one baby pepper hiding as the gardenia spicy peppy concoction supposedly in it. Their pizzas went from being some of the best pizzas in town to id rather throw a totinos in a microwave and call it a day because it would be thicker and more crispy than whatever I just ate was. So sad, this could’ve been such a great spot.

Additionally, there are other dining options like BBQ joints and Mexican restaurants in the area for visitors to enjoy.
Stop two on our little brewery tour of Toledo. This place is massive and full of charm and character. This used to be a hotel (Oliver Place is now an apartment building) and there are two floors with tons of space to enjoy. Instead of a flight like I usually try on a first visit, I went with the “Ballgame” Kölsch. Super crisp with hints of caramel and peanuts, the perfect quaff for a ballgame! For dinner, I had the pulled pork sandwich with fresh cut fries and a side of Brussels Sprouts. All was tasty. The sprouts could use work as they were slightly dry and the stumps were still attached. Service was great and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back!

Stopped by Maumee Bay Brewing Company and, of course, had to try their Giant Pretzel ($17.50)—and it absolutely lived up to its name! This was hands down the biggest and thickest pretzel I’ve ever had. The texture was spot on: a slight crisp on the outside with a soft, pillowy inside. You get a choice of a sweet seasonal dip or beer cheese; we went with the sweet option, which was a cinnamon butter. Unfortunately, the dip was a little disappointing—it came straight from the fridge and was too firm to spread easily. If I had to do it again, I’d go for the beer cheese instead. Since we skipped the beer cheese with the pretzel, we decided to try the Beer Cheese Soup ($7 for a bowl) instead of just a cup. It was a bit on the salty side, but dipping the pretzel in it balanced it out. We also got a 6-drink sample ($8.25), which was fun but nothing particularly standout. Still, it’s a good way to try a variety if you’re unsure what to get. Overall, the pretzel was the star, but I’d recommend going with the beer cheese unless you prefer sweet flavors or aren’t a fan of cheese. The brewery itself has a cool and cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot to hang out. Would definitely come back to try more of their food!

We enjoyed our beers! The food was fine, not anything to write home about and I’m not sure I’d recommend the gyro … but my husbands burger looked good! The hostess was not the kindest person I’ve ever encountered and I discovered on my own that while we waited for a table we could have a beer at the bar. Our waitress also never brought napkins or silverware so we had to track those down on our own.

Was camping near Toledo. So stopped in for a sandwich and a drink. I like Breweries that serve more than just beer wine and cider. I'm a liquor drinker and was able to get a long island. Which made me happy. Got a free sticker. And bought a shirt. My Sandwich was delicious and the chips were good. Everything at out table was good. We had a group of 7.

I went with a few friends/family. In total there were six of us and they had no trouble finding us a table. The Oktoberfest beer was good, but if you don’t like creamy cocktails, then you might want to get something else. All of the cocktails were creamy. I don’t normally like root beer, but their in-house made root beer is definitely to try. The food was good. There was nothing to really complain about it, and the portions were good. The interior theme was “loud” and there was always something to look at, but it suited, with what it seemed like they were going for. The “loud” theme complemented the whole brewery concept (in my opinion). Note: I don’t mean “loud” as in volume! Service was great but she kept forgetting our extra waters, but ended up just bringing us a pitcher of water. She gave some recommendations whenever we came across something that they either didn’t have, or wasn’t 100% sure of. Parking was a bit tight, but the place was pretty busy when we went.

I read about this place and took my family of four to check it out. It's tucked away down a brick street in a 150+ year old building and it's awesome. We had Noah as a server and he was superb. Him and the hostess both said it was their first brunch they worked so they weren't quite sure about process, but super friendly. We asked what others thought about the brunch top dishes and was told "everything; you won't be disappointed".... And they were correct! My son had the pb&j French toast... And i lost my mind... The bacon and cream cheese added was unreal... Creamy, sweet, salty and friggin rad. Only thing, you have to spread the cream cheese since it was a glob. My daughter had the avocado toast, and that was delicious, with the fried egg on top and microgreens. My wife had the Florentine omelet and it was equally delicious... It did need salt and pepper, but still a great omelet! I had the breakfast tacos and the chorizo waz on point. Homemade pico was good and we devoured everything as best we could. Portions were spot on.... But the other best part, taking a look around at the old building and all the rooms. You go upstairs and you can the brewers. They have outdoor seating as well. So do yourself a favor and go check this place out.

The food was AMAZING. Hot Italian sandwich is a must. I'm not even a big sandwich person and this meal won me over. Roasted sweet potatoes were great along with the vegetable medley! Service was great! Our waitress was really patient with us and gave us advice on what foods we would probably like. I LOVED the brick walls and the feeling of like an old speakeasy. Explored the back room which definitely then felt like a forbidden bar but it also felt dark in vibes. Definitely coming back for more delicious meals and to see our Jupmode press work displayed and sold here!

She was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The head Chef of the casino Jake happened to be walking by and stopped and asked how everything was as well. We made reservations here for a date night. We were treated very well by our friendly server who provided good recommendations. I had the lobster bisque to start with which was the best I have ever had. The lobster chunks were very full of fresh flavor. We also had gotten bread and baked cheese crisps to the table which my wife and I absolutely enjoyed. Those were finished off with a butter/honey topping you added. I ordered my NY Strip medium-rare and it came out EXACTLY perfect. Paired with the blue cheese crumbles it truly was enjoyable. My side was Brussels sprouts which I shared with my wife and we both enjoyed! She had gotten the half chicken which was very large and topped with vegetables and potatoes. She also enjoyed her meal. Cheesecake was for dessert which we really also enjoyed. Everything was up to our standards and the aesthetics of the restaurant were very nice. We will be back!

We had reservations, arrived on time, and were a party of 2. They sat us in the back room next to a table of 8-10 people. It took 30 minutes to get our first drink order, another 20 minutes to get the drink, and order appetizers. I told the waiter it was unacceptable. Our appetizer arrived quickly once our order was taken. Bread to the table was the only thing to eat until then. Very bad experience. Steak was good, pork belly appetizer okay but nothing to get excited about. Mac and Cheese with lobster and garlic mashed potatoes were the sides - okay but have had much better elsewhere. We had to request salt and pepper for the table, had to request more wine and beer because our glasses were dry. The large party in the room had to request their side dishes after having received their steaks 10 minutes prior. The dessert pumpkin martini was good, chocolate cake presentation was nice but it tasted like store bought. The room ambiance was nice. I've eaten better food at worst restaurants, I've never had as bad of service as this at a "fine dining" establishment. Food price for two was $348 + left a $60 tip because the poor waiter will likely need a new job.

Our party of four arrived promptly for our 5:30 p.m. reservation and was warmly greeted and seated at a beautiful river-view table, which promised a fantastic evening. We were looking forward to a nice steak dinner before heading to the Huntington Center for the 7:15 Opening Night game of the Toledo Walleye. Unfortunately, despite ordering steaks right away, we waited over an hour for our meals, which made us miss the first 30 minutes of the game. Given the meal prices and our early arrival, this long delay was very disappointing and unacceptable. The initial hospitality and setting were great, but the wait significantly impacted our overall experience.

Aye this place is top 3 in the city of Toledo, as far as treating yourself to a “luxurious” night out. No it’s not cheap but the quality you’ll never have to second guess. My tomahawk steak was perfect and worth every penny. My lobster tail wasn’t small but nice sized. The drinks were flowing and the service top notch. The pork belly is also a banger - if you like meat but haven’t tried it…go for it! This place makes me contemplate just coming to the bar by myself. Don’t sleep!

The menu features unique sandwiches and salads for lunch, including options for gluten-free buns and bread. Notable dishes include the Adams Garbage Salad Wrap and the Mazel Tov sandwich with smoked salmon and horseradish cream cheese.
First time visit for us, went during lunch on a Friday. Got a perfect parking spot and was sat right away! While I only grabbed a picture of our Mac and cheese (so comforting and delicious) but our entire lunch was scrumptious! A little pricey for what we got - (cheeseburger and Mac and chicken sandwich Mac and two drinks), but would definitely like to try a few more items on the menu.

It has been a while since I have had lunch at Grumpy’s. Very happy to see a new owner. She is focused and committed to bring Grumpy’s back to what is was in the 90's. We shared the Ruben sandwich, excellent flavor, toasted perfectly. Only wish they had better chips. I started with the chicken noodle soup. Definitely homemade, delicious with plenty of chicken and vegetables. Could have been a little hotter. As time goes by, the ownership will continue to add to their menu. Overall, very good with great service and atmosphere!

The garbage salad and homemade dressing was good. The Mac n cheese was mediocre. Service was top notch and speedy. Great grab lunch spot.

First time at Grumpys and overall the food is really good. I had a bowl of their chili and the sawbuck (I believe that I spelled that correctly) and I got a free oatmeal raisin cookies for it being my first time. Chili you could tell was made in house including the tomato base which made it one of the top Chili's I've had at a restaurant. The sawbuck was really good with the crunchiness of the toasted bread with the juiciness of the meat was great. The cookie was both soft and had that amazing outside crust you look for. The only "argument" I have is that the sandwich is served with potato chips and it is slightly expensive to eat there. For two of us with waters it was roughly $30 without tip.

Great Food, busy lunch time, may need more staff, although food was out fairly quick! Thanks for such great, fresh food!!

So let's start off by saying this is my first time at grumpys the staff was great the vegan veggie was great the salad was a salad not Manny dressing options for vegans buy hey you win some you loose some. So I came in to grumpys for a quick bite, I thought the place was nice so I decided to dine in I order every single vegan item off the menu(I tend to believe I'm a traveling vegan food critic) so again I'm eating and from one plate to another I get to the VEGAN impossible burger. I talked to everyone here so I stopped a random worker and told them that the burger was under cooked and could it be remade to go because I had finished everything else the worker told me no it's vegan it's suppose to be like that and that's cooked more than what we usually cook them so no. So I ask for a manager and she says to me No I'm the owner(CASSIE) nice to meet you ( had to ask the other employees her name cusbshe never gave it) I'm like I've been vegan over 7 years and thats not done she then says well we not remaking it we can take that one and put it back on the grill and that's it. I usually don't do bad reviews but it was imperative that I publicly share this experience. I wish nothing but luck to any business owner but that by far was the worst experience I've had in years. I really wish this was social media so I could tagged the city's health inspector. And btw before grumpy decides to reply and warrant their nonsense I recorded the whole thing and will be more than happy to post that if need be
Billy E — Google review
Excellent vegan options. The sweet potato burger (pictured) was terrific and unique. Serving it with kale chips was great. The chalk boards to your left when you enter have even more vegan options and there are great vegan desserts too. Service is great as well.
Scott G — Google review
The food at Grumpy’s is always great, but the serving/kitchen staff needs to take their time a bit more to read the orders. Two times in a row now they’ve forgotten an extra side that I paid for, and not made substitutions for the items that I’ve ordered. Again the food is always wonderful, but for the high price I expect my food to be right at least most of the time.

Went here before Monster Jam at Huntington centre on St.Patricks weekend and it was the best place to stop to start our day. Our server was Kristen S and she was fantastic. Told her we were from Ontario for the days events and she made us feel welcomed and had real conversation with us. Explained the menu items in detail with her recommendations. Went with the fish n chips and even though every place usually has that on their menu for an Irish establishment, it was down right excellent. She took good care of us and had the extra time because the crowds were not coming in at our early arrival, before our 1pm event. Place is well decorated not just for St.Patricks weekend but great decor through out. Lots of space with outdoor covered patio and clean bathrooms. Great location and easy access to surrounding areas.

Planning my husband's military retirement ceremony from out of state was challenging, but Blarney's Irish Pub in Toledo made it seamless. Special recognition goes to Leesy Parish, their exceptional coordinator, who maintained consistent communication with us for months, offered valuable adjustments and recommendations, and was incredibly helpful with every detail from menu to parking. The event room was perfect for our needs, providing ample space for the presentation of colors, flag folding ceremony, and even allowing the kids to play. The pasta bar catering was ideal for our guests, and the open bar service was just right. The workers who worked our event were helpful and informative. Despite planning from Biloxi, MS, everything came together perfectly. Blarney's helped us create a memorable military retirement ceremony, and I would highly recommend their venue and services to anyone.

Went in for a fine Irish meal after a training session for work. Was greeted by a friendly waitress and served a cold Guinness draft. Food was great and finished it off with a baseball game next door. 2 thumbs up!

What a staple to the downtown community. Blarney has so many amazing appetizers that it was hard to choose what we wanted. We got the spinach artichoke dip, which is AMAZING!! This Irish pub had many historical piecesto look at. Waitress was so personable. Can't wait to travel back to Toledo to show others this great restaurant!

Been coming here for years. Great food, never had bad service. But if the owner reads these reviews I hope you all consider cutting back on the sauce particularly on your wraps. Too much sauce on the buffalo chicken wraps as well as the Caesar. I'm not sure if that's the way it comes but it's always been very heavy on the sauce. Other than that, I'd reccomend this place to anyone visiting as a place to go to while in town.

This was my third time eating at this location and I am finally getting around to writing a review. Before a Mud Hens game we enjoy a cold Smethwick's and dinner. The Patio area is nice during the summer months. Last Friday they had a some what popular band on the patio. The entertainment sounded great but needed to chill so we ate in the bar for the fist time. We have always had GREAT service at this location. The waiter and waitress are quick and very friendly. I think it was the manager who stopped at our table and asked how things were - then brought us a vinegar we needed for the AMAZING fries! My husband tried the Classic Celtic Reuben (Slow cooked corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on grilled marble rye) that was super fresh and served hot! I always go for the Fish and Chips with slaw - THE BEST in Toledo. Can't wait to visit this spot again soon before a Game.

Overall great experience. We were sat quite quickly and food took about 10 minutes to come out. The food was pretty good. Service was good even though it was a hockey night and the place was packed. Only complaint is that they gave me tomato on my burger when I asked for it to be removed. However, since it's a small mistake and just 1 ingredient, I won't act like Justin Hayes and cuss out the workers over a minor inconvenience. Would come back again. 👌

Restaurant
Manhattan's Pub 'n Cheer is a warm and inviting restaurant located in downtown Toledo, Ohio. The interior features wooden floors, exposed brick walls, and vibrant artwork reminiscent of traditional New York bars. Chef Ian Regent offers a unique twist on American cuisine with European-inspired dishes like SoHo scallop BLT salad and South Street Cedar Plank. The monthly wine dinners provide an opportunity to explore creatively paired wines.
A Charming Spot with Delicious Eats This local pub is full of character and charm, making it a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the bartenders were attentive and friendly throughout our visit, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was delicious! The hand-cut fries were a standout—perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We tried the NYC Cheese Steak, which was fantastic, served with a flavorful au jus that complemented the sandwich perfectly. We also ordered the Kong Smash Burger, which was decent but didn’t quite stand out as much as the other items. All in all, this is a great place to stop by for good food, friendly service, and a cozy, character-filled atmosphere. We will definitely stop in next time we pass through the area!

May 2025: Great food and ambiance. A good lunch or dinner spot in downtown Toledo. Open on Monday while many other places are closed. Bar and dining area is straight out of yesteryear. Our party enjoyed fish and chips, steak and chicken Marsala. I rate the food a 10/10. Desserts available are tiramisu, carrot cake and cheese cake.

This place was AMAZING! This was our first visit but will absolutely be back! The food had that "first bite," that you look for in every meal; the bite that is just so delicious, you realize this was exactly what you wanted. We started with the La Poutine, I ordered the NYC Cheese Steak and my partner loved and still raves about the Fettuccine Alfredo.

Absolutely love this place. Wide variety of healthy delicious salads. The sandwiches are so good, we love the carnage. The Sunday brunch has a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas are a plus. We always bring the kids, and they always enjoy their meal.

This is my first visit here and nothing disappointed. The server and the staff were all friendly and great. The building itself is really cool and nostalgic. The nachos were superb, lots of cheese I loved it. The Reuben was a really solid sandwich and the fries cooked perfectly. The chicken salad plate was very tasty. The tiramisu was phenomenal. The carrot cake would be in my top three picks of excellent carrot cake. Will definitely be adding this restaurant to my return list.

Finally got have a meal here after years of friends & family telling me good things about thier food. The bar makes a perfectly mixed drink, exactly how I like it. Started with French Onion soup, and it was superb, treats in each bite. I could eat this a few times a week. Next came the Poutine Fries. Hand cut fries smothered in a rich beef gravy, with morsels of beef tips, and cheese curds. When I tell you my first bite had my eyes roll up into inside my head,I'm not kidding. Just absolute heaven on a very hot plate. I'll be back soon for sure.

I'm given five stars for the best bruschetta I've had in any restaurant thus far ad Manhattan's NYC CHEESESTEAK street vendor style, with caramelized onions, julienned sweet peppers, creamy havarti, on home-made hoagie roll and homemade kettle chips. 👍🏻👍🏻

A true gem! Was in town for the Ohio Travel Association annual fall conference and decided on this place for lunch before going home. Great atmosphere, super cute restaurant, nice bathrooms, great menu (food & beer), great music playing even! While exploring the menu we were told the bread, pesto, and pierogi’s were made in house. So were the fries and kettle chips it seemed! Food was delicious and we would definitely return next time we’re in Toledo!

The restaurant's loyalty program and app points system are highly praised by customers. With a trendy and welcoming atmosphere, patrons can observe the preparation of their meals in real time.
WOW I forgot how good the food is here. Not only is it delicious and the flavors are incredible, but its also healthy. The food genuinely feels balanced and good for you. I had the Mongo Tacos, which were scrumptious. I also tried some of the Sweet and Sour bowl. Soooo good! Not to mention they have Bubble Tea, need I say anything else? If you haven’t tried Balance I highly recommend it!

I was having a terrible day, locked my keys in my car and I went into balance for the first time. I told Jenna, a staff member, it was my first time. I was feeling out of place. She directed me to an amazing worker named Theo. He was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. You could tell he was not only educated in the products, but also passionate about his position. His friendly vibe was contagious. Balance really turned my day around. The bubble tea variety they offer is amazing. I 10/10 recommend. Thank you Balance.

I have been coming to balance for years. I have yet to find something I don't like that doesn't make me feel good on their menu. I especially enjoy the Mongo Tacos but honestly everything on the menu is great! Give them a try and you won't be disappointed!

Wow! We were in town for the zoo and a Mud Hens game and were recommended to visit Balance by a friend. We weren't sure what to expect, but are so happy we made this our stop for dinner! The food was very tasty and extremely fresh. We left feeling very full, but not in a gross/sickly way; it was a refreshing fullness where we could go about our evening activities without issue but also without hunger! And we were impressed by the ultra low cost. For 2 adults and a child, we paid under $35 (for 3 bowls without drinks). That's an incredible value for the quality of food and serving size! The restaurant was clean and was playing fun, up-beat music. The employees were friendly and helpful with the kiosk. The only constructive criticism I could provide would be additional seating, as we came in as a group of 6 and had to split up to eat due to others already eating in the restaurant.
Frank B — Google review
Edit: I have been going here more recently and it's definitely gotten better since my original review. Upped my rating by 1 star Really like the bubble tea and bowls here but otherwise some of the food has been dropping in quality. The creamy wontons I used to really enjoy but have lately always been super burnt and hard to chew. It also seems like the tacos are less filling than they used to be about a year ago but that may just be me misremembering.
Preston D — Google review
I believe this is my second time here. Im giving it 5 stars because Toledo kinda sucks. The prices here are actually fair and it was plenty of food mostly because you get a significant portion of rice
Joe Z — Google review
It's better than birthday fast casual! Service is limited: order on a tablet, pickup at the window at the far end. It's not necessarily elegant but it's a better alternative to your usual to-go fare!

Never again, if you like bland and tasteless food go and dine here. This is like asian fusion hospital food. Heck I had better hospital food than this. The rice was hard, the meat is unseasoned, the sauce is watered down.

Home Slice Pizza is a popular spot in downtown Toledo, offering no-frills pizza, salads, and subs. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with a full dining room downstairs and a bar upstairs. It's part of the 2022 Restaurant Week Toledo lineup, showcasing its delicious offerings alongside other local eateries. Whether you're craving just a slice or an entire pie of authentic and flavorful pizza, Home Slice Pizza has got you covered. They also offer patio seating for enjoying their food and craft beer.
When I want a pizza that isn’t the usual, this is my go too. My personal favorite here is the potato pizza and its description reads ; A favorite blend of red skin and garlic mashed potatoes, bacon and cheddar cheese Served with a side of ranch or sour cream. Upgrade this masterpiece for $1.50 to add Steak and Al sauce. And the pictures in this review are of just that. Upgraded with the steak and a-1. Another favorite we are always getting is the DeCarlo ; Cream cheese, five cheese blend, BBQ sauce, bacon, chicken, cheddar cheese and drizzled with a little hot sauce. Amazing pizzas. I would highly suggest you call to see if they are extremely busy as some peak hours have really long wait times. And also that plays into if you want to come visit in person as it is downtown and busy hours apply with it getting harder to park.

Outstanding pizza! Not recalled a pizza in 5+ years that matches! Still have my faves but they get an A+ in (just) pizza, service, pizza, and overall quality in food and service. My atmosphere is also a 5/5 - try them-worth it! 2 pizzas shown taken to Hensville to watch the game! Easy walk!
Matt N — Google review
Taking a break from the Maumee Film Festival a good buddy of mine wanted to share a piece of his college days with me. We ordered the DeCarlo and cheese bread. A few months back I visited New York and ate pizza at a couple places. This pizza here is definitely a notch higher than one of those places- the cream cheese blending with the bbq sauce, 5 cheese blend and the hot sauce: the flavor is addicting! I’m glad I don’t live close because I’d be here an unhealthy amount. I look forward to my next visit here when I’m in town!

I really enjoyed my cheese bread and salad. Everything was fresh and the right temperature. The crust has such a great flavor it’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Marinara yum 🤤 I will be back very soon to try the pizza😊 I can’t wait 😋 Ok, I went back today which is a couple of days after first visit to try the veggie pizza and it was good. Fresh and I loved the flavor of the veggies. I think they had some kind of vinaigrette marinade on the tomatoes because it was nice to my tongue. I took a pic below of it.

I stopped in to get a quick bite. I got the 9" carnivore pizza and a coke. $13.00 The pizza was thin crust style. I liked the pizza. I would go back again.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to the bartender's lack of hospitality. From the start, he seemed more interested in discouraging us from dining than making us feel welcome, apparently because we had two children with us, simply looking to enjoy some pizza after a boat ride from the Sandpiper. His engagement was minimal, and he only returned to the table as the venue prepared for a stand-up comedy show, giving the impression that our presence was more of an inconvenience than anything else.

Such a cool place. I love the 2 stories and the patios. Certainly a place to come have dinner, lunch or which ever with friends and family. Great decor and the old rustic walls give it a wonderful patina. The food is good, I really enjoyed the chicken chunks. I have also had the pizza and sandwiches. All also very good. Fairly busy most times, but never overwhelming. Fast service with a smile, nice people. Been coming here for 3 yrs now. Always ready for a trip to home slice.

Souk was the perfect location for my co-workers and I to have lunch. The atmosphere was so welcoming. We are from Detroit and really enjoyed our meal here! The food was fantastic and our server Martinique was even better! I’m vegetarian and there were so many delicious options for me to choose from. I will definitely make the trip in the future to come back and visit this unique restaurant!

My husband and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and sat on the patio. Busy but no wait. Server was attentive and food was delicious! I got a fresh tasting chicken/feta/spinach/tomato wrap and we shared a Spicy Feta with pita chips appetizer. So good! 10/10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We’d give Souk more stars if we could, what an incredible dining experience!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our party of five had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We sampled a variety of dishes, starting with the special appetizer lamb lollipops, crispy calamari, and two incredible hummus options—crispy short rib hummus and smoked paprika hummus. Each bite was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we enjoyed the chicken bandiera pizza, butternut squash ravioli with crispy short rib, mushroom risotto, Mediterranean chicken, and beef tenderloin medallions. Every dish was outstanding, making it impossible to pick a favorite. The balance of flavors, textures, and seasonings showcased the kitchen’s attention to detail and creativity. Dessert was just as memorable! We shared the baklava cheesecake, pistachio chocolate bar with pistachio ice cream, and the crème brûlée—each one a perfect sweet ending to our meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was extraordinary (ty Brooke), making the entire experience even more enjoyable. We cannot wait to return and explore more of the menu! Highly recommend Souk for an unforgettable dining experience in Toledo’s Warehouse District.

🗣️ Let Jess Tell It ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4.5 if I could) 📍 Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar | 139 S Huron St, Toledo, OH 43604 🗓️ Visited: July 2025 💰 Price per person: ~$30 (cocktails + food) ⏳ Wait time: No wait on a weekday night (bar seating available) 🔊 Noise level: Moderate — conversational but energetic 🪑 Seating: Bar, indoor tables, full patio 🚗 Parking: Street parking only — might need to circle a bit 🥗 Dietary options: Vegetarian dishes available; menu leans fresh/whole food ♿️ Accessibility: Yes 👶🏽 Kid-friendly: Not the vibe I’d bring a toddler to, but teens or well-behaved kids would be fine 🍹 Alcohol: Full bar, specialty cocktails, espresso martinis, bartender-driven custom drinks ⸻ 💡 If you’re just skimming, here’s the quick take: • Best bet? The cocktails — especially if Aaron’s behind the bar. • Unexpected standout? The French onion soup. • Dish to tweak? The short rib hummus could use salt or seasoning to match its plating. • Vibe? Sophisticated but chill. It’s giving grown-up comfort. • Would I go again? Yes — with curiosity, not cravings. ⸻ 🥂 Full Experience: We came to Souk on a summer evening with no reservation, and even before stepping inside, we could feel the buzz. A full patio, cars slowly circling for parking, and the kind of sidewalk energy that makes you slow down — especially in downtown Toledo, where things are typically quiet. It made us say, “We’ve never seen this much action at a Toledo restaurant.” And after the visit? We understood why. ⸻ 🍸 Bartender Breakdown: Aaron (ask for him!) I wasn’t planning to drink. But Aaron didn’t push — he asked thoughtful questions and made a custom tequila cocktail based on my preferences (citrus, ginger beer, mint, light/fruity — no syrupy stuff). What he brought out? Hands down the best cocktail I’ve ever had. Smooth, summery, balanced, and sneaky. I fell asleep on the ride home — safely, in the passenger seat — and I mean that as a high compliment. ⸻ 🧅 Food Ordered: • French Onion Soup — Deep, rich flavor. Not the “cheese lid” style but still excellent. Even the bar guests next to me ordered it after watching my reaction. • Short Rib Hummus Bowl w/ Veggies — Looked incredible. Fresh produce was top-tier. The meat needed more salt or finishing oil, and the hummus leaned tahini-heavy without much zing. • Spicy Italian Pizza — Amazing crust. Sausage: flavorful. But toppings felt mismatched overall. Mushrooms were a bold move. I’d try another pie next time. • Tomato Soup (observed) — Our neighbor at the bar ordered two bowls. Looked hearty, thick, and clearly someone’s comfort go-to. ⸻ 🧾 Total Bill: ~$60 for 2 people Included 2 cocktails, 2 soups, hummus w/ fresh veggies, pizza, and extra veg. Well worth it for the quality, service, and ambiance. ⸻ 🌟 Highlights: ✅ Bartender knew how to read the room and tailor drinks ✅ Soup was a shockingly strong category ✅ Open kitchen ran like fine dining without the pretension ✅ Bar felt communal — we left with new Instagram friends and a dinner invite ⚠️ Hummus + short rib plate needs a flavor boost ⚠️ Pizza toppings didn’t quite hit as a combo, but still solid ingredients ⸻ If you’re from Columbus like me: Toledo isn’t trying to copy us. It’s doing its thing — and Souk is proof. It’s stylish without trying too hard, and the kind of place where strangers chat, soup gets shared by suggestion, and a bartender might change your entire drink game. Would I return? Yes. Would I come just for the food? Not necessarily. But for the experience? Absolutely. 📌 Save this spot if you’re passing through Toledo, looking for elevated Mediterranean eats, or just want to sit at a bar that feels like real conversation is still possible. Let Jess Tell It.

Everything was fantastic! I absolutely loved the Turkish iced coffee and the vegetable lentil soup. The Mediterranean chicken was incredible, paired with perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful garlic wine sauce. The Margherita pizza was spot-on too. My friend ordered the classic hummus and the Seafood Cioppino, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. We wouldn’t change a thing. So delicious! Got crème brûlée for dessert and it was tasty. So glad we made a spontaneous stop in Toledo and found this gem on our way back to Detroit!

Absolute gem. This was my third time going to souk after not having been for two years, and let me tell you, it's just as phenomenal now as it was then. The service is always spectacular, and my lunch yesterday was no exception. Sitting at the bar, I was greeted and served by Nikki, who really made my meal even more special with some great conversation and great service. I can't wait to go back and see her again. BTW, order the local juniper american red ale. It's very good. As always this restaurant has put together some amazing dishes. The katfa egg rolls were outstanding, as was the lamb shank gyro. My only gripe was not trying something new from the lunch menu. I finished off my lunch with the Baklava cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. Please don't sleep on the turkish coffee. Fantastic as always. I'll be back in a couple days for dinner before I leave town. Maybe once more after that too!

My wife and I have visited tons and tons of coffee shops across the state, and this is one of the neatest there is. It's also perhaps one of the only places worth stopping to see in Toledo. Rustbelt is a great place to get a coffee, grab a bite to eat and work/study. I also like that they have meeting spaces available. The reason for three stars for atmosphere would be the lack of cooling in the hot summer months. The aesthetic is quite lovely but I'm afraid it is just not cool enough inside when there is 80 degree + weather.

I went with my friends to try this place. My friend got an iced maple latte and loved it. I got a carmelized banana latte and I did not feel the same. We love this place! We are always looking for plant-based eating options. Everything at this cafe is vegan. The Reuben, chili, brussel sprouts, and Hawaiian burger were delicious and filling. The chocolate chip cookies were wonderful. Great cozy decor. Friendly staff. Support this independent business!

This is THE place to go for excellent vegan food in Toledo! This was my second visit - on my first visit, I forgot to take pictures because I gobbled down my food too quickly! I love the Leaf and Seed because they serve the food that I really missed being able to have at restaurants with friends and family - chikn wraps, chikn chunks, nachos, etc. They also have desserts, beer, and local kombucha. Today, we ordered the Chikn Bacon Wrap and BBQ Chikn Chunks, which we both loved. I don't know how they make the chikn, probably through some kind of magic, but even my non-vegan boyfriend loves it because it looks, tastes, and feels like chicken. I have to call out how good the fries are here. They remind me of Five Guys fries. I tried their artichoke burger from the food truck before, and it's beautiful. It's very reminiscent of a crab cake. I am a snobby New Englander, so this is the highest of compliments! We also got two cupcakes to go - Lemon Lavender and Strawberry Lemon! You will be full and satisfied when you leave the Leaf and Seed. PS: They have their own parking lot, so you don't have to dread parallel parking.

Great variety of vegan comfort food in a nice setting. Even friends who are not vegan love the food here. They have fantastic regular items on the menu such as the deeeelicious Rueben sandwich, and the offer excellent specials that you don't want to miss. Locally made kombucha, that is among my favorite kombucha ever, is offered, and it's literally made next door. The deserts are excellent and they have a nice selection. I love supporting great locally owned businesses, and this is at the top of my list. The owner clearly strives to be a force for good in the community. I absolutely love The Leaf and Seed Cafe and look forward to going here every time I head up to Toledo!

The Leaf and Seed is an amazing addition to Toledo. I used to travel up to Ann Arbor to get some delicious vegan food, so I'm elated to have Leaf and Seed in Northwest Ohio. I followed the food truck whenever possible and was always impressed by how quickly they'd sell out! It was inevitable for this restaurant to happen. Their menu has a variety of foods to try, including appetizers, wraps, salads, smoothies, sweets and more. They also have some dishes you can order for the holidays to help your gatherings be more wholesome and compassionate.

Coffee shop
Cafe
Maddie & Bella Coffee Roasters is a popular coffee spot in Toledo that started as a small-batch roaster in 2010 and has now become a thriving business. Named after the owners' dogs, this cozy cafe not only provides a great workspace but also offers an extensive selection of pour-overs, seasonal espresso drinks, and freshly roasted beans for home brewing. With the convenience of online ordering, enjoying their specialty coffee from the comfort of your own home is made easy.
This spot is one of the best, if not the best, coffee shop in Toledo! Their self roasted beans are super delicious. And they know how to make a latte! The seasonal menu was super great to try. I got the maple cardamom latte and it was totally worth. You have to try Maddie and Bella's if you are in the area!

First time here. They burned my egg and cheese biscuit. I wish they would’ve just taken the time to remake it. I would not have minded waiting a bit longer. I was hoping it didn’t taste that bad despite it being burnt, but it was gross. I was able to pick out some decent parts from the biscuit, though.. $6

Super aesthetic spot, Minimalist decor, soft lighting, and calm music made it such a relaxing vibe. I had the iced matcha latte and a croissant, matcha was smooth, not too sweet. Perfect place to hang out with friends or take some cute photos. Staff was friendly and the whole place smelled like fresh coffee. Love it.

Ignore the weird conservative reviews. This place is great, no matter what some weirdo who can't handle being around other people says. (though if you're using AI for your artwork...do better!! There's plenty of artists around Toledo to support)

I’m Toledo born and was visiting Toledo for a few weeks. I made it a point to go to Maddie and Bella’s because it’s the best coffee in Toledo. I am a big fan of freshly roasted beans and when I went in they had so many options that were roasted that week, a week before, or even just a couple days before. As a person who values high quality coffee, I have to say I love Maddie and Bella’s. I live in Italy now and I bought two bags of whole beans at Maddie and Bella’s, one Columbian and one the warehouse blend. I have to say with a fine grind and my moka it tastes like home. I’m really thankful for such a good specialty coffee shop in my city and I take pride in being your customer. To anyone who’s ever thought about buying some beans, equipment, or even just a latte— do it. Maddie and Bella’s offers an experience you won’t forget. I certainly won’t! Anyways, keep doing what you are doing. The customer service is always great, lattes are amazing, and beans are always delicious and fresh.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Maddie & Bellas for years but during a recent visit I was shocked to see employees wearing shirts with large graphic targets and the phrase ‘Gun Control Now’ boldly across the front. While I respect basic rights to personal expressions I don’t feel political messaging like that belongs in a customer-facing role especially after a major national event that was politically and religiously charged. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome first and foremost, and almost as if I might be confronted or treated differently because of my differing beliefs. It also left me questioning whether I would receive a quality product from these baristas who were openly comfortable creating such divide. I reached out to the company for clarification on if they knew this is what their employees were wearing or not but haven’t received a response in several days. I’d like to know if this reflects the business’s values so I can decide whether to continue spending my money there.

Out of all the coffee shops downtown, Maddie and Bella is my favorite! My go to drink is an americano which very easily ends up watery and not very flavorful. My americano from Maddie and Bella is perfect every time. Everyone in the shop is very nice.

Ciao! is a popular spot in Toledo known for its classic Italian dishes, such as brick-oven pizza and chicken Marsala. The restaurant stands out for its authenticity and creativity, serving up fragrant grilled dishes from Tuscany and fresh flavors from Naples and Capri. We had a great experience. Did not realize you need reservations, but had an empty table. The digital menu tablet was definitely different, but had pictures of the food & preparations. Food was excellent. Service was great. Restaurant was clean. Parking lot had plenty of parking. Bathrooms were small but clean. Be glad to go back anytime.

We were passing through Toledo, OH and decided to stop at Ciao in Sylvania for dinner—and I’m so glad we did. This was, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The Tuscano Soup was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and comforting. I didn’t think the meal could get any better, but then came the entrées. As someone who eats gluten-free, I was blown away by the number of options available—it was actually hard to choose! I ended up ordering the lobster, shrimp, and crab pasta with vodka sauce, and my husband had the Salmon Piccata. Both dishes were outstanding—perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive. We also loved the beautiful outdoor seating area—perfect for a relaxed evening. Honestly, the food and experience were so good, I’d seriously consider making the 5-hour drive just to eat here again. Highly recommend!

We hadn't been here in probably 15 years. Always thought it was expensive but that was based on back in in the day feelings of how much a meal cost. It's actually very reasonable for the quality. We were seated despite being a little early for our reservation. Food was served promptly and served did an excellent job. The manager was actually managing the floor and was great. Food was excellent. Very delicious. Will be a new go to.

We absolutely love this place! Great food, atmosphere and service. Excellent bar tenders as well. Although a bit pricey, it's worth the visit.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight; excellent service by Alex! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and had such a warm demeanor while serving my family. Now, for me and my family, it is a privilege that someone would wait on and serve us, but to have a waiter like Alex to do so, is such a great privilege. We also made sure to remind his general manager Geoff about this attentiveness, and we hope it is taken into consideration as his time at Ciao continues in the future! Ciao is one of our favorite restaurants in town, and we most definitely will be coming back soon! Always a pleasure visiting!

First time I've ever been here and it was great. The server was awesome and the food was awesome. The building itself was really cool. We went during lunch. I got the ribeye it came with au jus and creamy horseradish. Loved it. My wife got the strip steak. It was aged and it was absolutely perfect. Got the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Perfect. We got the cheesecake for dessert. It was on the small side but still really good. The restaurant says it's over 100 years old at that location. It was a really cool atmosphere walking into. Five out of five stars would eat here again.

It was my first time coming here which is crazy since I’ve lived in Toledo for most of my life haha, but it was great! The food was great, QUALITY steaks. I got the filet, super good! My man got the NY strip and his was also very good. My waitress Jana, loved her. She was so sweet, all around just a good waitress. I love the old fashion vibe in there. Can’t wait to come back!

A classic dining experience in Toledo. If you are looking for top notch steaks this is your place! I got the bone in NY Strip and it did melt in my mouth. Outstanding! My wife got the steak medallions and she loved those. My baked potato was delicious and the draft beer that has some lime in it was really good (forget the name). Ambiance, atmosphere, and great food highlight this restaurant. You will pay some, but it's worth it!

The food was good but not quite to the level of the pricing. The menu was limited but the steak was great. The atmosphere seemed upscale but too dimly lit. The waitress was really good but missed 1 or 2 key opportunities. Overall not a bad experience
Chayim Y — Google review
I’ve always heard about Mancy’s but not living near I’ve never been. For a Valentine’s celebration my boyfriend suggested it and I was excited to finally try it out. The building is gorgeous. It’s well maintained and beautifully decorated. We were sat at a small table in the corner but it was fine because they were good about clearing plates as we finished. The drinks were delicious and elegant. The soups and shrimp cocktail exceeded expectations. However, we were disappointed when we were told they are taking the King Crab legs off of the menu when we tried to order them. I ordered my go to favorite the filet mignon and my boyfriend got his 30oz ribeye with two lobster tails. The lobster is not very sweet or flavorful my best guess is that they’re South African lobster tails. The main big deal seller for the restaurant itself the steak, I was honestly disappointed. My filet was ordered medium rare. Which it was, I’ll give them that but it had almost no flavor to it and just tasted very charred on the outside where I could rip a piece off and cling it against my glass. My boyfriend loved his and for the first time in a long time I would argue the ribeye is a better choice than the filet. Maybe it was a bad night for the joint, it was snowing pretty heavily. When he asked if I’d like to come back my answer was “if you wanted to I would.” For a bill of over $300 I want you guys to be pleased with what you get and I have plenty of reviews of steak houses where I say you’d get more bang for buck.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. I liked the music they played. Jazz type and other vintage style music. The steak was good, and the waitress was so sweet.

This was some seriously GOOD food! My group and I (we're from Kentucky) went for our friend's birthday and it was the perfect location. I got a berries and bubbles cocktail, the baked brie appetizer, and the steak with blue cheese sauce & walnuts, with a house salad on the side and buttery potatoes (and ice cream for dessert.) Our waitress was perfection too! She had the timing of everything perfect so we could make the show we were attending afterwards. The warm bread and butter was also really yummy. My steak was so tender and had a perfect crust. Both my companions had excellent meals as well. If I'm ever back in the area I'm definitely coming again!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Italian dining experience, look no further than Spaghetti Warehouse. This charming chain is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and mouthwatering pasta dishes that are made from scratch. One of their standout offerings is the incredible 15-layer lasagna, which takes three days to prepare—truly a labor of love! Guests can also savor famous spaghetti paired with hand-rolled meatballs and other beloved Italian classics.
This evening, we had a wonderful retirement party for my wife at Spaghetti Warehouse. I can’t think of any way it could have been any better. We hosted around 30 guests for dinner and the party. We had our own room and our own waitress, DeeDee, who anticipated our every need. This was all done at a VERY reasonable price! There was a limited menu we had agreed on in advance, which provided enough variety to satisfy those with particular food needs. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee were also included in the quoted price. The food and service was outstanding. The only glitch was due to a Toledo Mud Hen’s game nearby, just after we arrived but before our guests arrived, a young woman was stationed at a parking lot entrance charging $15 to park in the lot, but Chad, the manager on duty, quickly ironed out the confusion when he assured us that those people who parked for the restaurant would not be charged for parking…the charge only affected those parking to attend the Mud Hens game. I would absolutely recommend this venue for a similar event.

As a new Toledoan, I had the chance to check out one of the city’s oldest restaurants. It’s like walking into a different time period - a restaurant like no other in town. There’s a train car that goes through the center of the restaurant, old school Tiffany’s style lamps and almost like a saloon meets checkered tablecloth vibe. The team has been working there for years - some even 20+! Service is small-town friendly, there are plenty of rooms for big parties and 4 tops alike and the prices are great. There’s currently a BOGO deal for entire pasta entrees. The kitchen is a mostly scratch kitchen with the exception of then breads and pastas which are made in large pasta pots in the kitchen. The garlic butter is amazing and the lasagna and chicken parm were my two fav dishes. The Lambrusco is a yummy wine choice, and they offer Chianti and Pinot noir along with some others. This isn’t the fanciest meal you’ll have in town, but the sauce is good, the chicken is cooked perfectly on the Alfredo and the parm, and the prices are right. Come here for fun events like murder mystery parties and comedy shows on weekends! Also a perfect venue for group parties or showers.

A little background. My husband and I went to this same restaurant Over 26 years ago. I thought it had closed with many of the other restaurants in this franchise. We have recently relocated back in the Toledo area for work and are expecting to be here for the next few months. So on date night we got a little nostalgic... And other than a very nice waitstaff that is were the positive ends. I really really want this to be a 5 star review but it pushing it to just make three. One of those three stars is nostalgia talking. Let's start with the google listing. See picture attached. No tables until 9pm? I called and they asked how many were in our party and when I said two they said to come on in. I was expecting a packed house but Excuse me at 8pm on a Friday only four other tables were seated and no one was waiting... but we waited 7 minutes to be acknowledged and seated. Several employees walked past us. The food: The bread was just a white bread loaf. Good but nothing special. Salad all iceberg takes like store bought bagged salad. The main coarse: Fettuccini was at best awful. The noodle old and dried out and sauce was curdled, greasy, and separated. My husband who is vegan could only order salad or spaghetti. He said it was just OK. Atmosphere: Very noticeable upbeat 70s/80s music. Nothing romantic there. While we still love the old trolley, decorations, booths many seats were torn and every surface looked worn and in need of scrubbing. Vintage is cool worn and in disrepair not so much. Not so much vintage chic as rundown waiting for a second chance. I am not suggesting redecorate! The appeal is some of the cool decorations but do a deep clean and refresh. New table tops, reupholster seats, and fresh paint and wood polish would help! * get rid of the ugly games (move them down with the others!) blocking the beautiful brick warehouse wall. Great photo op for your patrons and free social add op ruined. It saddens us both to say we will probably not be back as it saddens us even more to see a legacy fade. If we ever hear they have new energy we would love to return! I'm forever an optimist.

Was about what I expected . Bread was not great, butter was not flavorful. Calimari was ok lacking flavor as well . I had the chicken parm it was actually very good. My husband had the 15 layer lasagna which was also good. What outshined every thing was the service, our waitress was GREAT!

Went here to carb load before the Toledo marathon. Supposed I didn’t get raging food poising from what I was served that night. It still haunts me. Server was nice but good lord how to you bring this out to someone

They have a great lunch menu with many choices. I had their pepperoni baked spaghetti. It was okay, but I felt like after I ate the cheese and pepperoni topping with some spaghetti, the rest of the dish lacked sauce that I would have liked. However, I still love many of the other options that Spaghetti Warehouse has, and it's a cool atmosphere.

J. Alexander's Restaurant is a modern American eatery that specializes in wood-fired cuisine, offering a diverse menu featuring prime rib, steaks, fresh seafood, sandwiches, and salads. The restaurant aims to deliver top-notch dining experiences to its guests. While the decor is contemporary and somewhat dim, the food is highly praised for its delicious flavors. Customers particularly enjoy the Steak Burger cooked to perfection with a smoky char-grilled taste and the generous portion of smashed red skin potatoes.
Well, I must say, as many times I have passed this place, I should have stopped a long time ago. I ate here for the first time today for a meeting, and I had a veggie burger with fries. The fries were perfectly cooked and salted especially for shoes string fries as I call them and the veggie burger had this perfect crisp/char that reminded me of the burgers I would get off the grill in the summer time as a little kid. Thank you to the cook there that knows what it means to have a perfectly perfect veggie burger with all the fixings. Well done!

My partner and I love J Alexanders ever since we went to the Cincinnati location 6 months ago. When we seen Toledo had one, we had to go. In it's own, this location is great. Fairly quick walk in wait time. The food was good and the service was good too. It's hard not to compare it to Cincinnati since we had such an incredible experience there. We both agree that our local Cincinnati location was better in terms of food. The ribs here in Toledo were not as tender, the salad had different croutons (we fell in love with the croutons that cincinnati j alexanders had, these were disappointing in comparison), and the cake slice was smaller. The table candles at this location were fake candles which I was surprised to see. Maybe a fire hazard for real ones, but the real candlelit dinner in Cincinnati just gave the experience a more romantic ambiance to it. I tried the mac n cheese this time. It's cool that it comes in it's own dish but I didn't care for the taste. My partner ended up eating it for me. He said his chicken sandwich was good. As a stand alone, this location was excellent. Now we want to travel to all the J Alexanders locations and compare them all. It will be hard to top the perfect food and service we received in Cincinnati. You have to try that chocolate cake! You could get away with around $50-60 for a dinner for 2, but our bill was $100 with tip since we got 2 salads as well as a dessert. Well worth the prices here. I appreciate the quietness of the dining experience and the lack of children present. Mainly adults dine here and that just adds to how much I enjoy eating at J Alexanders. You can bring your child as long as it is quiet, well mannered, and well behaved. Please don't ruin the fine dining experience for others.

Went in on a Sunday late lunch. Looked busy, but only had to wait around five minutes to be seated. Waitress was attentive to us, refilled our cups around the halfway mark without even asking, and was keeping up with the other tables. Lighting is a little low but adds to the ambiance. Food came out at a good pace, and I wasn't waiting for too long for each plate to come out. Loved my alex salad, and my NY strip was cooked perfectly. Would recommend

Last weekend I stopped in a restaurant in Toledo Ohio that I haven't been to in many years. Ladies and gentlemen J Alexander's. Still a staple of Toledo I would say personally. Food is still coming out excellent. Service for spot on from the hostess, being greeted to the table, as we were getting cozy in our seats our waiter came up and asked what we would like to drink. I wanted to keep it light and fresh so I stuck with the seafood choices. Appetizer headache ginger beer that was amazing with Hong Kong shrimp that had a nice bite and flavored crispiness and taste. For the entree it was cilantro shrimp a bed of flavorful risotto from the juices of the shrimp and a mixture of red pepper salsa that they did pretty tasty. Unfortunately it wasn't able to get the amazing carrot cake that I took home and it was spot on with flavor moist and the frosting was bomb diggity. If you are ever in Toledo Ohio check this place out.

PizzaPapalis is a local chain known for its gourmet deep-dish and thin-crust pizzas, as well as sandwiches and pasta. The restaurant offers a variety of options including St. Louis-style thin crust, calzones, submarine and ciabatta sandwiches, and more. Visitors can also indulge in deep-dish chocolate chip cookies or brownies for dessert.
Date Night Done Right at Pizza Papalis! My husband and I decided to switch things up with a Tuesday date night, and this was our first time trying Pizza Papalis. We ordered the deep dish veggie pizza with mushrooms, spinach, banana peppers, green peppers, and green olives—loaded and delicious! We also got the cheesy bread with spinach and feta cheese that was pretty good. My husband had to get French fries and Surprisingly, they ended up being a favorite too—crispy, well-seasoned, and way better than we expected. I had an Amaretto Sour, which was smooth and refreshing, while my husband enjoyed the Italian Cherry Margarita. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us often, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back, especially to take advantage of the half-off Tuesday pizza deal with the purchase of an appetizer. We’re also excited to go back once the weather breaks so we can enjoy the breeze with the garage-style windows open—it looks like the perfect summer vibe! The only downside? Parking can be a bit of a challenge. But overall, great food, friendly service, and a perfect spot for a chill night out.

I stopped in to try this place out. I was in the area. I got seated right away. There were a few other tables with people. Not too busy. I over heard that a large pizza takes 45 minutes to cook. Since I didn't have a lot of time, I went with the 6" pepperoni pizza. The pizza came out in about 10 minutes. The chicago style pizza was a bit of a surprise. The sauce was on top! First the crust, then pepperoni, cheese, and sauce. I can understand why it takes so long to cook a large. The crust is thick. Double layer. The crust was delicious. A bit crunchy. I couldn't really taste the pepperoni, being burried beneath everything. The sauce was good, nice flavor, good balance of herbs and spices. Overall, the pizza was good. I've read some of the comments about the pizza. How some said the pizza wasn't cooked all the way. I can understand that. The oven is not the conveyor belt style the chain pizza places use. The oven is more like a rotisserie. The pizza's circle around and around. The chef has to decide when the pizza is done. Overall, I liked the pizza.

If you like Chicago style deep dish pizza, this is your place. Great pizza and great service on a Saturday for lunch. The menu offers many other items including thin crust pizza. Good beer selection and full bar. It takes them 40 minutes to cook your deep dish...but worth the wait!

We were seated right away at a nice large booth next to the window. PizzaPapalis is known for its deep dish pizza (which are AMAZING!) This time we had one of their Philly Cheese Steak subs and a medium greek salad. The salads are HUGE and easily split. Vegetables and lettuce were super fresh and heaping quantity. I highly recommend trying both of these items because they are super flavorful and inexpensive. We split both and had plenty to eat before attending a weekday Mud Hens game. Our server was very friendly and on top of the order. ALSO - their fries have a yummy breading on them - GO FOR IT!!! YUM!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. their chicago style deep dish is the best i have had in a long time. the crust is so buttery and flaky, it’s like a croissant! & the sauce was fresh and flavorful… you can tell it was made with love. every bite is gooey, crispy, and savory. i loved it so much! absolutely worth the wait & every single penny. if you want a pizza that will leave you speechless, this is it!

The wings are what I go for. They must have recently changed their honey barbecue sauce. It is terrible now. Could only eat one wing with that sauce on it. The Michigan bourbon sauce is really good. Tried their toasted ravioli and that was worth it. Hope they go back to their last honey barbecue sauce. Doesn't even look like barbecue sauce either. Smells like someone accidentally dumped cinnamon in it too.

I have to admit that the pizza is amazing. I never really get Chicago style too often but today it was made to perfection. They definitely loaded up on the meat toppings. I ordered online and everything was ready by pickup time... the staff seemed very friendly as well. For a 1st time visit it was worth the price.

Definitely the place to go to when you're looking for good quality tavern-style pizza. We came here during the weekend during rush hours and were still seated quickly. Customer service is both fast and friendly. The pizza was also delicious, it did take a minute to come out to us, but that's what you should expect when dining at restaurants like these. Pizza was fresh, the ingredients and toppings were soft and hot, and the cheese was to die for. 10/10. Definitely a place to bring the family when you're looking for something a bit different that feeds a lot of people. One large pizza could easily fill 3 people with how thick and filling each slice is. If you haven't been here before, definitely stop by when you have some extra cash on hand! Your price range will start around $35 and shoot up to $100 fast depending on how many guests you bring, so keep that in mind. HOWEVER: Parking will be your biggest hurdle when you get here, spin around the block if you don't find a spot right away. Parking is street-side and has automated meters that you scan a QR code for and pay through your phone. If you can't find any street parking, try the parking garage across the street, though you may have to pay more.

Mancy's Italian Grill is a relaxed trattoria with a modern decor and an open kitchen, offering a menu featuring flatbreads, pasta, and wood-fired pizzas. The pollo pizza, topped with roasted chicken, bechamel, tomatoes, olives, mozzarella, and basil is a popular choice. The restaurant provides excellent service in a sophisticated atmosphere. Customers can enjoy dishes like pepperoni pizza for appetizers and lobster and shrimp pasta with mushrooms and asparagus in spicy sauce.
In all of my 661 reviews of restaurants i gotta say this is one of the few times I give a restaurant a 9.5 outta 10. We came here on a whim from Michigan for a date night and from the beginning we knew it was the right choice. Our waitress Dina was very attentive and made sure we had water and bread throughout the night. It had a great crust and soft inside. The butter was flavorful and whipped with herbs that you could taste. The oil that came with it was ok. I'd stick to the butter. I got the chicken picatta and it was packed with flavor. That lemon herb butter sauce was perfect and balanced the dish. For dessert got the limoncello cheesecake and it was phenomenal. Such a wonderful date night and great restaurant. Definitely coming back.

When my brother asked me what’s kind of food I wanted for dinner, I didn’t realize he had eaten Italian the night before. I only realized that fact when the waitress who had served him the previous night remembered him - and his order. Our waitress was Nikki (Nicole) and she was fabulous. She was informative and very attentive. Great waitress. I split a chicken Parmesan with my brother in law. It was great. The chicken was moist and crispy. The pasta and sauce were perfect. My brother had spaghetti bolognese. My friend had a margarita pizza. They each loved their order. We had pray martinis that were to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommend reservations *The food was amazing! Started with the appetizer which we chose the Brussel sprouts and the Caprese both were delicious. The vesuvio was amazing the shrimp had such a great texture and flavor the sausage in this dish can be on the spicy side well balanced with the sauce though. Last we had tiramisu omg delicious. Over all great food great service great atmosphere.

If I could describe Mancy's in one word it would be "delicious." But that is only one aspect of this restaurant. The decor is warm and inviting. The lighting fully compliments the elegance of the dark wood. Mancy's is the perfect place for impressing your date or a business client. The staff is as exceptional as the food. We've been there several times and have never been disappointed. Mancy's is well worth a visit if you like fine dining.

There are barely enough adjectives to describe how incredible Mancy’s Italian is. The dining area has a lot of ambiance, cozy booths, romantic lighting, classy artwork. Hostess greeted us warmly, asked our seating preference. Our waitress arrived within 10-15 seconds with ice water and offered a wine list/cocktail menu. Nice wine list with plenty of by the glass options. (They have a bottle shop attached to the restaurant). Drinks were served within a few minutes, waitress brought bread with dipping oil at the same time. For our appetizer we chose to split the zucchini bruschetta and it was delicious, will definitely be attempting at home. Della casa salad was excellent - fresh, crispy lettuce with a light and flavorful dressing served on chilled plates (which I really appreciate). Hubs had the summer squash pasta with added grilled chicken. I had the diavolo pasta - perfectly cooked lobster and shrimp, asparagus and mushrooms in a spicy lobster sauce - saying it was incred doesn’t do it justice. Would definitely order again. Both the service and the food definitely live up to the Mancy reputation!

The service was excellent. Our waitress was amazing. Very helpful, explaining the menu and offering advice on food. I would highly recommend Mancy’s Italian.
Ben A — Google review
Service (Deena), salmon, linguine, alfredo, and house salad were all excellent. I especially enjoyed Deena's knowledge of wine selections. The lasagna pinwheels were too salty though.
Kelly T — Google review
I thought food was good, menu seemed small. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. Chicken was cooked to perfection. Others got pinwheel, pasta, salmon. Service seemed slow. Brought bread without dipping oil, we had to ask. Wait between courses seemed long. Ambiance is average. Everything looked old, lighting was yellow-ish. Definitely could use a face-lift.

Nestled along the scenic Maumee River, Zia's is a delightful eatery that transports you straight to Italy with its authentic cuisine. With recipes inspired by Portofino, this charming spot serves up an array of Italian classics—from gourmet pizzas and oversized pasta dishes to fresh fish and hearty meat options. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for families, featuring weekly specials like Wine Down Wednesdays and fun-filled family game nights on Sundays.
Best happy hour in town! Zia’s never disappoints. Olivia was our server and she was on point. She was so attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and professional. She made our experience even better. We enjoyed a couple of pizzas, meatballs, and cocktails for happy hour and we were extremely impressed! Highly recommend!

Overall 3.9/5. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Food was a step above olive garden. Prices were 2 steps above. My wifes sausage and peppers were the best part. The chicken marsala was watery, and the sauce should have been thicker. Limited menu with no steak options. The appetizer was good. The berry sangria was the best sangria that I've tasted, but after drinking a whole pitcher, I didn't have a buzz. Service was phenomenal and atmosphere was good. I don't know if I will come back or save $50 and just go eat at olive garden.

Tried Zia's on my my MIL suggestion. Very nice fun place dockside on the Maumee River in Toledo. Tuesday at 6pm was not crowded yet the kitchen was spot on. Service was fast and friendly and the waitress made good suggestions. The food was very good and we will definitely eat here again. We are very good home cooks so we only eat out if it's worth the money.

We’ve just moved to Toledo temporarily, and everyone has been recommending this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The restaurant is quite spacious with outdoor seating, and it’s beautifully decorated. We started with the antipasto salad, which was on the smaller side and topped with diced chicken—an interesting twist. My husband ordered the lasagna, which he enjoyed, while I had the chicken parmesan with spaghetti. The chicken was great, but the spaghetti was a bit bland. Our server, Olivia, was incredibly sweet and attentive, making our meal even more enjoyable.

Arriving at Zia's my husband and I were met by a friendly receptionist who sat us promptly. After being seated we were greeted by Derek, our waiter, who was very attentive and cared for us with professionalism and charisma. Our appetizer of prosciutto bruschetta and dishes, rigatoni and chicken marsala were perfectly cooked and seasoned, plated in a very appealing manner. We highly recommend!

What a hidden gem in Toledo. My son picked the restaurant we were visiting, the University of Toledo. In our drive around the city Zia's came up. The calamari was the freshest we have every had and delicious. All of us took food back to the hotel as the portions were generous. Great service .
Sharon J — Google review
First time visiting this restaurant. As you would expect the wait staff was friendly and we were seated relatively prompt. The inside of this restaurant has a really nice aesthetic and it's located on the river. The food itself was pretty good. The chocolate cake is definitely not a cake it's a chocolate brownie.
V L — Google review
Shortly after we got seated, we noticed our glasses on the table were dirty. At least 2 of them had lipstick marks on them. Might wanna recheck the dishes before sending them out. We got there at 6:30 and didn’t get our food til a little after 8, which was a little frustrating with young kids that were hungry, restless and near bedtime. The server was nice, but rarely seemed to be around or checking on us. This used to be a good spot to go, but I think after the long wait on everything, we’ll avoid Zia’s.

Our waitress came over out of breath and didn't even say hello. Our garlic bread was mushy and flavorless. Lasagna and spaghetti tasted like it was old. The lasagna noodles were mush. The sauce tastes like chef boyardee. The waitress apologized and discounted our meal. Offered us a pizza or something and we kindly declined. We paid for the bread, salad and sodas. We will not be back.

We happened upon this restaurant before a concert. I am so glad we did. We were seated by the owner and he was so nice and talkative regarding the history of this place. The dinners come with a simple side salad and bread. The chicken Alfredo was delicious, well flavored, and the chicken was not dry. My husband had the “small” spaghetti. The portions are very generous. The environment is cozy, not super spacious. They also serve desserts but were stuffed. So glad we picked this place.

Great local place. Food was awesome, as was the service. I was told the pizza was really good, but wasnt in the mood. I will tell you the eggplant parmesan was to die for. Portions are large and fairly inexpensive. Don't miss dessert, you will regret it. White chocolate raspberry cheesecake for the win!

Old school Italian. Huge, yummy portions. In the pics the smaller is the "bowl" of pasta with a meatball and the other is 1/2 pasta1/2 lasagna with meatsauce and meatball dinner. I had water and hubby ordered a Yingling. Total was $33 and change. $40 out the door with tip. I will say the sauce was mildly seasoned with red pepper flakes. I really liked it, but I know some do not. Our server was friendly and service was quick. I will be back here again when I come thru Toledo.

We made the trek from Dallas, Texas, to Toledo, Ohio, for a family gathering, and Inky's Pizza turned out to be the highlight of our visit! Having seen Dave Portnoy's review, we were excited to try it out. The wait for our pizza was a bit longer than expected, but the experience was well worth it, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Lisa O. Lisa was an absolute gem!!! Her warmth and kindness made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond, surprising us with free T-shirts and a fresh salad on the house. When she overheard my mom mentioning a craving for taco pizza, Lisa didn’t hesitate to whip one up for us, completely free of charge! The pizzas were phenomenal literally perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. The taco pizza was a standout, and the whole family couldn’t stop raving about it. Inky’s isn’t just about great food; it’s about the heart and soul they put into making every customer feel special. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Toledo. Thank you, Lisa, for making our visit unforgettable!

Overall a solid place to get breakfast if staying at the Renaissance. I ordered the Poutine for breakfast which had a nice combo of tater tots, sausage, gravy, and eggs that came on top. My wife got an omelette with everything in it. She said it was good and the cheesy potatoes were good also. Some service issues with toast not coming out, some omelettes that weren't prepared correctly for some people in our group. The physical aspect of this space is fine, easy to hear and carry on conversations.

Food was okay, but for the price not good enough. They didn't have waffles for some reason so we got a pancake with our chicken. The atmosphere is odd and the windows are dirty. The table had a receipt tray under it but it was still wobbly. 2 chicken and "waffles" and 2 orange juices was 50 bucks. Probably won't return.

We were staying at the hotel and came down for a few cocktails. The service was slow at the bar, even though they appeared to have enough staff, and the staff seemed uninterested in being there. It was very crowded due to number of holiday parties but no one had a sense of urgency except the bar backs. We left after one round of expensive cocktails. Do not order an Old Fashion here - the bartender that made ours had no idea what he was doing. The atmosphere was excellent and we loved the outdoor area. I am hopeful it was just an off night and maybe the staff was overwhelmed and tired from the holiday season. We will try again if we are back in the area.

We had a party of 13 attending Chef's Table Series: A Celebration of Love. Menu posted below, along with a few dinner pics. Dinner reservations ran a little late, but that didn't put a damper on the evening. Our wait staff were attentive, accommodating, pleasant & provided a great upscale dining experience. The ambiance was romantic & fun. The food was amazing! A 7 course dinner with a variety of foods to address anyone's dining palate. What a wonderfully fun & delicious dining experience! Each course perfectly paired with an adult drink. Chef Mike came out to tell us about each course. He was polite, addressed questions, but he was definitely kept busy that evening. My only complaint for the evening was the walleye dish was not hot. Mine & a couple of other's fish were more cold than warm. I was disappointed because it was tasty until I got to the cold part. To their defense they offered to remake each of ours. We declined because everyone else was already finishing up their course. Just didn't want to be the cause of further delay. Otherwise I cannot wait to have dinner there again. Definitely worth a second visit.

Overall, this was not a great experience. Here for a birthday gathering and the service was slow, orders were not accurate, food was cold or overcooked, and the manager was less than accommodating and could not even pretend that he cared. I REALLY recommend that you select another establishment for brunch.

Duck fat fries and caramelized pork belly - worth every cent spent. Loved both of the dishes and as a snack big portion , so having both I was already full. Service was pleasant and helpful. Had ok variety of beers - had two local draft IPAs, enjoyed both. All in all - really worth the visit.

My sister and I stayed in the hotel last night so we came down to Bring House for brunch this morning. The restaurant was very beautiful, great lighting, and comfy booths. We ordered lattes, and they were not the best I have had but fine. I ordered the southern boy delight which was sausage gravy over biscuits with fried egg and a side of breakfast potatoes. It was delicious. My sister ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of the a la carte biscuits and gravy. There was some confusion because the paper menu and online menu listed the side as $3 but on the bill they were $7, so that was a little misleading. The size was the same as my biscuits and gravy so it is a better deal to order that, rather than paying $7 for breakfast potatoes since that is the main difference between the two. Our waiter was nice, and overall we enjoyed our meal and hotel experience!

El Tipico Restaurant is a long-standing establishment in Toledo, serving up traditional Mexican cuisine since 1968. It prides itself on using fresh and organic ingredients, catering to various dietary preferences such as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. The menu offers a wide range of options, including a customizable selection to suit individual tastes. The restaurant also features breakfast on Saturdays in a simple cantina space.
At first, the place might not look like much, but don’t let that fool you. The food is authentic. I’m not a fan of the salsa and chips, but the tacos and the queso with chorizo are packed with flavor—absolutely worth it.

It was such a great pick after drove from Canada . We were so hungry from authentic maxican. I did search and found this one. We glad everything so delicious. Staff very friendly . The restaurant had a charming and homely atmosphere. The staff were amazing—kind, considerate, accommodating, and always happy to answer questions. The menu is primarily gluten-free and organic, and with some substitutions, all dishes can be made completely gluten-free. They even have a special protocol in place for people with Celiac disease. The food was fantastic; it was the best Mexican food I have ever had and possibly one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I have never written a review before, but this place was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share my experience.

We had read about El Tipico, a Mexican restaurant that’s been in Toledo for over 50 years, so after golf my husband and I decided to give it a try. Being from California, we’re used to really good Mexican food and were excited for the experience—especially since Toledo doesn’t have many good options. I ordered the Mexican Combo #1, and my husband had a beef tip taco and a ground beef taco. Unfortunately, the beef tip burrito with gravy was inedible—the meat had an odd flavor and texture, and the gravy was nasty. The cheese enchilada was filled with an oily substance and topped with a terrible sauce. We barely touched our meals and left disappointed. We won’t be returning.
Marie K — Google review
My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at El Tipico this evening. The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Dina, the owner, personally shared where all the ingredients came from — everything is sourced from local vendors and organic, with much of the produce coming straight from their own garden out back. The menu is highly customizable, making it easy to accommodate even the pickiest eaters or those with dietary sensitivities. The staff went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. What an incredible hidden gem right here in our own backyard! We highly recommend giving them a try — you won’t be disappointed!
Allie B — Google review
Yeahh…this “burrito” was not worth anything remotely close to $12… thanks for ruining my lunch. And why was it so cold and wet? EDIT/REPLY TO MANAGER: that’s very kind of you to offer a refund or other option, but I think you need to fix your online ordering platform - I just double checked and it wouldn’t let me add anything else to a burrito - it says “choose one filling”. I assumed that burrito would still include other normal burrito fillings, especially since I paid two extra bucks for Barbacoa. $10 is so overpriced for one little filling that could potentially just be beans, and an unwrapped tortilla. And please don’t try to argue that a burrito should be wet because I ordered Barbacoa. I’ve never had a greasy wet burrito from chipotle, and they even suck at wrapping burritos. You’re a Mexican restaurant - take some pride in your food and actually wrap your burritos instead of tossing a tortilla on some meat like a blanket. And why was there a dollop of Barbacoa on top like some weird garnish?
Zachary P — Google review
We found this place after visiting the Toledo Zoo. We were very pleasantly surprised with the food, the cleanliness, and the great service! Our server, Damari, was extremely welcoming and attentive, setting the vibe for a great dining experience. We strongly recommend El Tipico for a great meal at a very reasonable price. Clean, great food, and excellent service are hard to beat.

My sister and I have been eating at El Tipico since 1970. The food and ingredients are so healthy and delicious. We love the grass fed beef. I have a cousin who lived in California and loves the food st El Tipico. She says the food at ET is better than anything in California. I am allergic to wheat and enjoy everything on the menu. The members of the staff are amazing people. Thank you Dina.

Fricker's is a popular sports-bar and restaurant chain known for its signature chicken wings and family-friendly atmosphere. Located in downtown Toledo near Fifth Third Field, it offers a desirable destination for sports fans with eight windows overlooking the ballpark and over 20 televisions showing games. The weekday happy hour from 11 a.m. is an added attraction.
Great food, my first visit. The best wings I have ever had. Can't wait to go back.

The ribs are dry and hard with barely any sauce taste like they were microwaved. The bread that looks like a hamburger bun(it is) was the “roll” that came with the meal. The wings and fries were pretty good but the service and food took forever. The appetizers came out with the main course and were cold and hard clearly reheated after they had been sitting. We waited an hour after ordering our food for anything to come out, so we ended up being there almost 2 hours as it took over 15 mins for a server to come over to even get our drink order in which we order food and drinks at the same time. Wouldn’t recommend and don’t plan on going back overprice for crappy food and service. Also the bench stool are to small so they are uncomfortable especially to be sitting for over an hour in.

This restaurant has been on my saved Google list for a while now. Honestly, I could have prepared a more palatable meal. Usually, most restaurants that offer fries are usually a hit, not here.

First time customer- totally impressed. Came before a Mud Hens game & it was complete & utter controlled chaos! From the Hostess, that made sure we got two tables of 6 (that ended up being next to each other) - to our amazing waitress, Jayme who bounced between our tables taking orders on separate tabs, remembering all our orders & came back to check in regularly, to the Kitchen Staff that were “on fire”- what an amazing experience! Our meals were great! The wings were amazing & so were the ribs! The BLT had a massive amount of bacon! The restaurant was busting at the seams & yet somehow everything & everyone worked like a fine oiled machine! Also, as we were visiting from California - the price was shockingly reasonable for what we ordered! Will be back when in the area. Great job by everyone! Management should be proud!

Carla was a great server, but the food was delicious everything was good, it's just like roosters that's in Columbus . It's a really great clean place , we will definitely be back to get some grub 😁🙂 oh and the server also told us a fun little history store about this place and roosters . And just so happen that roosters in flickers was owned by two brothers that didn't get along so flickers is for north of Ohio and roosters is for south of Ohio lol kinda cool

This was my first and most definitely last time at this fricker's! Start it off with mozzarella sticks. They were cold, the sauce what's so dry that I literally could turn the dish upside down and it stayed inside! All of my food was cold except for of course the coleslaw which should have been cold but was warm! The young lady who waited on us was very nice!

Fried pickles were good, but nothing to them to set them apart aside from dipping sauce. Wings were great and the staff was very patient and friendly. Price wise, more on the hefty side of the wallet but the atmosphere was great

Tandoor Cuisine of India is a family-run restaurant located in Toledo, Ohio. Specializing in northern Indian cuisine, the restaurant prides itself on using fresh herbs and spices to create authentic dishes such as pakora appetizers, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, korma, and vindaloo curries. I had a wonderful experience at Tandoor! The food was absolutely delicious—full of rich flavors and perfectly spiced. The naan was warm and fluffy, and every dish tasted freshly made. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Highly recommend!

One of the most visually appealing interiors I've been in for awhile now. Even the water glasses are ornate. The food was a bit slow to arrive but worth the wait! My lamb masala curry was amazing! The appetizers were equally great! Portion sizes are a little large so be ready to take some home. I love that Indian food has so many options for those with gluten allergies! I can't wait to go again because I think this is the next Indian food in town. Be prepared to wait if you go at peak hours as it is a small restaurant.

Olivia B — Google review
The restaurant itself is good, the ambiance is nice and the food is good there are better places around of you want better and authentic Indian food. But the management and service really need improvement. We visited on a busy Saturday evening, and despite standing right in front of the counter, no one acknowledged us. When I finally asked about a table for two, the staff member simply said “No,” without offering to put us on a waitlist or letting us know how long it might be. We ended up waiting for about 20 minutes with no communication at all. Just as we were about to leave, the same staff member suddenly said, “Oh, I’m about to get you a table,” which felt frustrating and avoidable. Once seated, the service continued to be disorganized. Our food was served before we were even given water, and when it came time to pay, I waited another 15 minutes for someone to collect my card. Eventually, I had to walk up to the counter myself, only to be told, “Oh, I was just about to come get it.” I don't care what you were about to do my friend. The restaurant is small, with four people working the floor, but there seemed to be no coordination at all. Everyone looked busy, yet guests were left unattended.

The emphasis here is on using the freshest high-quality ingredients to maintain the authenticity of classic recipes while adding a touch of style. The extensive wine list, signature cocktails, and craft beer selection complement the dining experience.
Honestly loved the food, the atmosphere, and our waiter was great! Parking lot right across street was only $5. They have a fun and unique drink menu as well. Made for a perfect date night!

Our server was so nice. Also, they have the best pasta in Toledo. It was the first pasta I finished because, unlike other restaurants, it wasn’t oily at all. I’ll definitely come back again.

We had dinner here while in town for the marathon after being recommended it online. It was rather disappointing. The arancini was good to start, and my wife got a thin crust pepperoni pizza which was fine. I got the carbonara and was disappointed that the sauce emulsion seemed broken, it was sitting in a pool of grease. I know carbonara isn’t exactly a light dish, but it was very heavy and the flavor was fairly bland. Service was very matter of fact but they seemed understaffed so I can’t hold that against them. The atmosphere was unremarkable.

Susie was an EXCELLENT A+++ wait person. Very loud around game events. Appetizers: meatball and aracini excellent. Salmon entree excellent. Carbonara needs reworking. Way too much pepper. Couldn't finish 1/4 of portion. Lemoncello cake excellent. Would return

Love this place, definitely one of our favorites. Arrived 5.30ish on a Thursday - as is our norm we sat at the bar. Server made a point of letting us know about their happy hour (so we could order a second drink before it ended). Hubs had the fettuccine bolognese and I had the salmon with gnocchi. We both had a side dinner salad which were cold and crisp. Hubs said his dinner was delicious. My salmon was perfectly cooked, gnocchi was soft and tender. Waitress/bartender was nice - it appeared that she was the only waitstaff that evening. Watched her with other guests - provided good service to everyone.

Got in one hour after the posted opening time, half hour after the subsequently posted time, and manager would not seat us outside; despite the fact, it would be a draw for people walking downtown for the mudhens game and the Toledo pride weekend. Volunteered to get carry out and the manager freaked out at the concept. Still sat outside , and told people the food was delicious as a Downtown Toledo supporter, and despite that was eventually asked to leave by the manager because we complained about the treatment. Actually threatened to call the police, and we invited that. Wouldn’t seat us outside, even though the restaurant was absolutely empty for the next 30 minutes. The first other customers came in at 5:19 PM. Our waitress was wonderful. She remembered us from the last time we were in there, and we paid forward to buy dinner for a couple who was there with a small child. Wait staff is not the problem. The food is not the problem. It’s actually very good. But not coming back. Except to order soft drinks. And attempt to get kicked out again by this guy, who had no explanation for asking us to leave, except that he was being an idiot. He would not tell us his name, but this is his sour face.
John W — Google review
I ordered the Traditional Carbonara pasta and it was everything but “ traditional “! Pancetta was overcooked and burnt. The dish had no peas, too much pepper and the sauce was more like a paste. Terrible and disappointing. They should take it off the menu. Although the service and atmosphere were good I would say overall it is just an average Italian restaurant.

QQ Kitchen is an asian restaurant with a variety of Chinese and Korean dishes, as well as a few Japanese options. The quality of the food is excellent, and the customer service is always amazing. The portions are small, but they're also very affordable.
My boyfriend literally said he thinks this is the best food he’s ever had in his life. The food is phenomenal and so flavorful, and the portions are also great! It is expensive but honestly, I think it is definitely worth the price. I was surprised at how crazy busy it was when we went but now I can see why! I’m very glad I was finally able to try this place :)

The food is the star of the show. The wontons or fabulous the egg roll was really really good and the entrees were all hot fresh and delicious. Service was lacking and it's kind of an old beat-up building but that's not going to get in the way of delicious food. I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat.

I can’t recommend this place enough: food was fresh and authentic and service was incredible. Our waitress was J.P. and she was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. It truly made the dining experience even better to have such an amazing waitress. If you are on the fence about eating here, do yourself a favor and grab a bite.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! My daughter and I stopped in on our way to NY from NE. We both had Kung Pao with Tofu (she had soft tofu with Lo Mein and ai had crispy tofu with rice. Service was outstanding all staff auper friendly and again... food was fantastic! Absolutely will make a regular stop on our trips.

Truly excellent vegan options and several of them. A friend recommended this place very highly and I can see why. The food was excellent, the service was superb and the atmosphere is nice. It was a simple decision to keep returning for more great food. My favorite dish is the crispy tofu in orange sauce.

Had a very delicious meal for lunch. Decided to swing by to grab some takeout, since we had heard great things about this place before. I had the Jjajangmyeon (Black bean noodle) which was absolutely delicious. The crab Rangoon was also very good. My partner had the pad Thai and spring rolls, which she also loved. The smell of this place, when you walk in, made my stomach rumble in hunger. It smells amazing. The staff was also incredibly friendly and approachable, and the kitchen was lively! Can't wait to come here again, and this time it'll be to have a sit down meal. The place was packed for lunch, which I took as a good sign! Will absolutely be coming back.

If you want an outstanding meal, this is the place to go. They have Asian, Chinese, and Korean dishes, all of which are excellent. The service matches the quality of the food, with an attentive, friendly wait staff. The only things they lack and should add are miso soup and Grandpa's Noodles. I've dined here for several years, and never had a meal that wasn't excellent.

Duffee M — Google review
The Original Pancake House is my most favorite breakfast spot in Toledo! Trust me, it’s always packed for a good reason. Today I ordered my usual Connor’s Farmer Scrambler with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese, and a side of chocolate chip pancakes. I rarely order anything other than the scrambler with pancakes because it’s so darn good and filling. It was my first time ordering the chocolate pancakes and they were filled with chcolately amazing goodness. I normally go with the buckwheat pancakes. My brother ordered the German pancake with all the extra toppings, and a BLT. Surprisingly, this 14 year old left no crumbs behind. That German pancake is really something special. If you can’t handle the full size, they offer a smaller version as well. The full size is enough for 3 to share. We enjoyed our meal this morning and the service is always fantastic. It’s worth the brief 15-20 minutes wait for a great meal and leftovers to take home.
Brandy ( — Google review
I’ve been coming to The Original Pancake House since I was a kid, born and raised here in Toledo. It’s always been a special spot for me, and I decided to finally take my youngest son today since he’s been craving pancakes. Unfortunately, this visit was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had there. We waited a little over two hours total, and only about 15 minutes of that was actual eating time. Our server was dismissive from the start—smiling and friendly to everyone else, but not to us until we had already been waiting over an hour and a half. He claimed there was a computer issue in the kitchen, which may or may not have been true, but regardless the service never improved. When food finally arrived, my biscuits and gravy were inedible (I only forced a few bites because I was starving). The eggs, bacon, and pancakes were tasty, and my son enjoyed his pancakes and hash browns, but much of what we ordered never even came—missing two orders of bacon, a side of hash browns, and a whole pancake meal I had ordered to take home for my older son. Drinks were neglected too; it took about an hour just to get coffee refills. When I brought the receipt issue up, the server admitted he forgot items but didn’t offer any apology or explanation, just smiled awkwardly and walked away. At the register, the cashier also didn’t seem to care when I mentioned the food was just “okay.” For a bill of $55 for basically eggs, bacon, pancakes, and coffee (at $8 for 2 cups!), I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I still love The Original Pancake House and know they can do much better, but this experience was unacceptable. Management really needs to address service quality and ensure guests are actually receiving what they pay for.

A great local diner for a family breakfast. 🍳 Their service is incredible. The place is very cozy and it has that old diner atmosphere that you’d look for on Sunday mornings. 💛 It was our first time trying the German pancake. I wasn’t expecting sour and sweet flavors at the same time. So good! 🍋 Thank you Julie for recommending the German pancake for us!

Nestled in the heart of Toledo, Black Rock Bar & Grill is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This award-winning steakhouse takes pride in serving Certified Angus Beef steaks, which you can cook to your liking on a sizzling 755-degree volcanic rock. This unique concept ensures that every bite remains hot and juicy from start to finish.
1st time being here. Waited 1hr and 45 minutes. So in total we were there for 4 hrs. We got the meal for 2 for $60. It ended up being $71.86. I got the chopstick chicken and it came with fries. Also the shrimp and it was interesting cooking it on the 755 degree plate. Also got clam chowder soup. Wanted the brownie skillet, but they were out so they Gave me the skillet cookie with ice cream with Carmel. The waitress was really nice and respectful.

Our first time at Black Rock. We stood at the door for approximately 2 minutes while the bar tender was surfing the internet on her phone. As we were just ready to leave another employee greeted us and sat us at a table. We were 2 of 3 customers in this very well decorated restaurant. The lady that sat us then went and sat at a high chair table and began to surf on her phone. Couple minutes later the bartender came and took our order. We were almost ready to leave again. The food came and looked delicious and was very good. My only wish would be the shrimp not breaded. It just seemed we were an inconvenience to the lifeless restaurant. There are so many places to spend my money and I get better service at Taco Bell.

Came out for a friends birthday this was absolute worse experience the service was good the wait was about 3 hours kitchen ran out of food wasn’t able to complete orders placed the manager tried to help but he says there’s only so much he could do. The problem was that there was nobody in here and for the wait to take that long is absolutely ridiculous. 800 dollars worth of food and a comp for 1 appetizer wow will not be here ever again first and absolute last time

This is going to be my go-to place while I'm here in Toledo. My second time at Black Rock and we got Liz, AGAIN!!! She's so great!!! They have a new menu! Inflation busters! Half pound of ribs with a side of your choice, Cole slaw and two little hush puppies $9.99! Rumor has it that they are preparing for a mother's day feast!!!! Get in there!!!

After a long day we stopped here on our way home. There was almost nobody there. Hostess tells us it’s a 20 minute wait. There’s literally nobody in here. After they knew we were not leaving they sat us done instantly next to dirty tables. We ordered cheese and pretzels to get started the stones were so cold the cheese didn’t even warm up. Not to mention the pretzels were stale! Asked for a manager. She refused to come to our table so we left. Worst Blackrock Experience and we eat any the one in Ann Arbor very often. Restaurant was very dirty staff was unfriendly and floor was incredibly slippery like covered in oil or grease. Obviously this place isn’t taken care of.

Each time I’m going to Black rock I like to sit at the bar the bar of Beth❤️ is amazing when she makes my favorite smoky old-fashioned. No other restaurant knows how to get it like Beth❤️ does at Black rock then the waiters all the other girls and guys continue to check on you to making sure that you are being intended to and taken care of and the chefs the way they are and grill salmon is incredible. Everything they make even just a salad is impeccable. Black rock is on my list of favorites. I get to go in there get on my laptop and charge it at the same time while charging my phone because they have USB plugs underneath the bar and I get to make my online bets while watching the flatscreen TVs over the bar looking at all the sports I recommend in Black rock

Went to dinner with a friend from out of town. I wanted to show her that we can cook out steaks on a freaking hot rock! She was super impressed and wished they had a Black Rock in her city! Food was delicious. Our server looks like she was training someone and they both was very pleasant. We was able to come sit down and enjoy our meal in this secluded restaurant. Not a big crowd at all and it was peaceful. We could have a decent conversation in peace
Rita V — Google review
Strange place. To have waiting time in the empty restaurant is weird! We came there yesterday, we had to wait 5 minutes while somebody talk to us. Then when we made an order we hade to wait 40 minutes until they bring the food. The restaurant was almost empty. Probably 4-5 tables were taken. This is a weird experience! The food was good! Also, I’d recommend to turn off those bright projectors above tables! It is very uncomfortable to sit there!

Kira Japanese Steakhouse is a great place to enjoy a delicious variety of Hibachi and Japanese sushi. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with excellent staff who are passionate about their food. There is no need to feel rushed - everything on the menu is clearly marked and priced so you can decide what you want without feeling gouged. Plus, they don't skimp on the yum yums!
Went for BOGO sushi, and loved the experience! The hype for the Kira roll is real! (It’s delicious) Tried the dynamite roll and spicy girl(loved this too) Great experience overall, the server was so nice!

I visited Kira Japanese Steakhouse for lunch with my family, and we had a great experience. My sister and I ordered the shrimp hibachi, while my brother went with the chicken hibachi. The portions were huge, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We also had the Kira sushi, it was good, pretty similar to a store bought one. The starter soup that came with the meal was especially good—light but full of flavor. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Overall, it was an excellent lunch spot, and I’d definitely go back again.

This is our go to for hibachi however it's been awhile and the food wasn't as great. Noodles were cold, rice was a Lil crunchy and chicken was a bit undercooked. The ladies restroom however was horrible.

Food is good, servers are very nice and attentive. Quick service. Wish they could improve the cleanliness. Place is filthy. Food splatters on the wall near booths, rice caked into the grout on floor, floors so dirty there are footprints, bathrooms filthy. Hope the kitchen is clean.
Melinda W — Google review
Kira Japanese Steakhouse was a nice surprise to find in Toledo. They offer a variety of menu options from sushi to hibachi. They were quite busy as we dined in on a Saturday evening around 6. The staff were still very friendly and efficient. We only waited 10 mins for a table. The restaurant is split between the grill hibachi area or regular booth dining next to a bar. There is bar seating to wait at while they ready your table. Our waiter was attentive and fast. They offer complimentary soup and salad with your entree which were both delicious. We ordered two sushi rolls and an appetizer and the wait time was maybe 15 mins. Both sushi rolls were fresh and had great flavor. Would definitely recommend the Kira roll. Parking can be tight as the restaurant is located within a strip mall with a Chick Fil A next door. We were still able to find parking nearby even with how busy it was. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

This place I do not recommend at all. I went and they were so rude I won’t say they the guy who was the server everytime I have been here it’s been him and he’s very rude and acts like he hates his job. 3.5 stars… They only have one gluten free bread option that is just okay. It falls apart pretty easily, but had decent taste. I don’t think the wait staff know much about gluten sensitivity or celiac disease though. I got the burger with GF bread and fries. It was good even though the bread fell apart. My coworker got a rueben which they stated was very good and it had a generous portion of meat on it. Service left something to be desired. Waitress wasn’t rude, but just short with us and not very friendly.

They have a large selection and make them fresh. I would highly highly recommend this place for breakfast and I'm sure their lunch is just as good

Absolutely delicious! We tried several dishes and all were amazing. But the best thing was the service, Tina astonished us with her capability to serve all tables by herself, orders, payment, back and ford intensively. We were on a rush and from order to food it was 10 minutes.

Took my girlfriend to Sunday brunch. We walked in to a packed restaurant, but were seated immediately. The steady hum of conversation blended with an upbeat music playlist that continued throughout the meal. Our server, Jordan, quicky greeted us and dropped waters at the table. She brought me a fresh cup of coffee and recommended a few of the many mimosa options to my girlfriend (she ended up going with Tina, Ginger and Val). She also recommended the made from scratch corn beef hash, with eggs and toast for me and the spicy chicken and waffle for my girlfriend. We tagged on some delicious bacon and seasoned fries and were good to go. The food was fantastic and I definitely recommend this downtown brunch spot.

I come here religiously because it's close to school, the service is fast, and the food is unmatched, AND THEY LOVE DOGS!!!! They will bring out my pups a little water bowl while we sit on the patio and eat dinner. They pay so perfect attention to the customization and individual orders! I think they've only gotten our order wrong once or twice in the 50+ times we've come here. I've never had to wait longer than 20/25 minutes for food even with 11 people for my birthday dinner. It usually takes less than 5 to 10 minutes every time I order And the food is always fresh and soooo good!!

WORST TACO SALAD EVER!!!! Definitely should have had Chipotle instead. I always say “it only takes one time”. First impressions are everything & I DEFINITELY was not impressed! I had be wanting to try Condado & the taco salad..which was horrible might I add. I HATE BEANS so of course that’s the FIRST thing I say..no beans! It was so many beans in it that when I tasted the unseasoned meat all I tasted was beans! The girl that took the order didn’t repeat the order nor try to upsell. I called up there the guy did replace it..more unseasoned meat, dry, there was nooo kick to it at all. I have never had a taco salad that had such little chips..they were broken up & such a small portion it seemed like none were in there. Glad I had some @ home. Everyone look like they were not dressed for work. Nice looking restaurant..that’s it

Sandwich shop
Original Sub Shop & Deli is located in the vibrant Old West End neighborhood of Toledo. This historic mansion district has been a long-time haven for artists, musicians, and creatives. The area is known for its pop-up spaces where you can catch live music performances in random ballrooms, porches, and backyards. Over Yonder Concert House is a popular spot here, featuring national traveling folk acts during the warmer months.
Just outside of downtown Toledo, only minutes from the Zoo, this cozy sandwich shop is a hidden gem. The space is alive with hanging plants and colorful artwork, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both vibrant and relaxed. The staff brings big energy, genuine kindness, and laughter. The menu offers toasted paninis, stacked subs, and comforting soups and gazpachos that rotate with the seasons. Great lunch spot.

I love supporting local businesses and this place did not disappoint. So many vegetarian options, I had a hard time deciding. I ended up ordering the curried chickpea salad sub and it was a delicious mess. First, who offers such a random vegetarian option in a sub shop? Second, the sub roll was fresh and perfectly soft, the lettuce and tomato slices were super fresh, and the chickpea salad was clearly homemade. Messy? Yes. But so worth it. The historic building itself is also incredible and the service was professional and friendly. I will definitely be back to try some of the other vegetarian options.

What a delicious place to eat, from sandwiches, soups, pasta and potatoe salad, tomatoe pie(one of my personal faves this time of year), salads, hummus and desserts(bread pudding and chocolate chip cookies). Yummy 😋 Thank you and I will be back soon.

Coney Island Hot Dog Downtown Toledo is a family-owned restaurant with a rich history spanning 100 years. The staff is known for their exceptional friendliness and hospitality, going above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The menu features authentic all-beef chili cheese dogs that are highly recommended, along with other delicious options like chili cheese fries. Despite the outdated interior and limited parking, the quick service and tasty food make it a great spot for a casual lunch.
Yesterday, while searching for a new place to live, I stopped by Coney Island Hot Dog in downtown Toledo and was so impressed that I had to return today! The prices are incredibly reasonable, the atmosphere is authentic, and the staff are genuinely good people. Once I move to the area, I anticipate becoming a regular at this spot, enjoying their delicious food often.

Today for lunch I remembered a little gym in Toledo Ohio named Coney Island downtown Toledo. Stop in and got their original chili cheese dog with onion rings. I forget how amazing this diner is an establishment has been around. Serving amazing chili dogs and onion rings. Enjoy

Came in for a quick breakfast, it was 2 patrons including the person I was meeting. It took 10 minutes to get a menu and another 15 for the waitress to come back and ask for my order (11:13) then told me that breakfast ended at 11😂 so did your tip and your rating.

I had never visited before. My husband had already experienced eating here as a child and wanted me to experience the nostalgia of this place. And of course The Authentic chili dogs. ☀️

Plate One is a cozy and fun spot to enjoy your favorite beverage with someone special. It's a great place for coffee lovers, offering delicious espresso shots over ice with brown sugar syrup. The downtown location has an elegant and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for meeting up with friends. They also offer vegan options like the Vegan Blast and Vegan Breakfast wrap, which were surprisingly delicious. The staff is friendly and committed to their craft, making it a great place to relax and enjoy some quality time together.
Absolutely love Plate One. Atmosphere inviting and comfortable. Decor modern and sleek. Location is convenient. Staff is friendly and attentive. Beverage Plum Oolong Tea and Matcha Frappe. With Turkey Wrap and Chicken Panini. For desert Pistachio and Chocolate Muffin. First time in a while, finished everything on my plate. Prices are reasonably priced. Thank You Plate One. My new home. Back in business 2023 new menu items. New cashier lacks in friendliness and mannerism, Hello, can I help you. Thank you, something anything.

I decided to stop in at Plate One’s downtown location for breakfast this morning. I got the Vegan Blast and a Vegan Breakfast wrap by substituting tofu for the eggs, and getting vegan cheese. The Vegan Coffee Blast is a Frozen Drink with Coffee, Almond Milk, Soy Protein, Dry Peanut Butter, & Banana. I have never been to Plate One before and was pleasantly surprised with the vegan options! Everything was delicious, and the place had a really chill vibe! — at Plate One.

My daughter and I love checking out coffee shop and things to get out the house and learn our new area. This place was more than worth it. The food is delicious (especially the blueberry muffin), and drinks were exactly what we were looking for. Dave was simply amazing and super nice!! I think everyone should come here!

Coffee Quest 2021: $3.00 for two shots of espresso over ice with brown sugar syrup (they do not have caramel). Plate One definitely represents the rebound downtown is making. It has an elegant and comfortable atmosphere that's great for meeting with others. The shots were flavorful and pulled nicely. The brown sugar syrup is a fine substitute for caramel and added some depth to the flavor. I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff and their commitment to craft.

Great place. They hosted our graduation event. Excellent service and atmosphere. I'm an iced-coffee fiend, and they make a great one.

Centrally located in downtown Toledo. Spacious interior with many different seating options. The atmosphere is calm and the food (breakfast/lunch) and drink (coffee/tea/smoothie) options are plentiful.

Great sleek and cozy place to grab some good food and coffee/tea and cocktails. Ordered the goat cheese and veggie flatbread. It was delish. Also got the guava matcha frozen daiquiri, it was a yummy type of health drink with rum. Best of both worlds. Service was also great. Definitely will go back.

Located in Downtown Toledo, Plate One is a very modern cafe. The cafe has natural lighting and soothing music. Wifi is available, And the employees are very welcoming and knowledgeable of the items served. My first time eating at Plate One I ordered a popular chicken pesto panini. This sandwich was paired with fried potato chips. I really enjoyed it. I would definitely return.

The staff is always so nice. I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone there. The atmosphere is lovely. The music they have playing is always great and it helps me to be productive when I’m working from my laptop at Brew. If you haven’t been there, you must try it!

Dear BREW employees- it's highly diappointing that you wanted to obnoxiously mock Christianity from behind your counter. Whether I agree with what you were discussing or not, the floor was not open for debate. So why, after sitting with my paid prouct, was I having to listen to this? A little professionalism can go a long way!

Restaurant
Cousino's Steakhouse is a family-owned restaurant that has been a Toledo institution since 1945. It offers a varied menu with European-inspired appetizers and a large selection of fresh seafood, but it's the quality cuts of aged meat carefully prepared and grilled over an open flame that have made it a staple in Toledo. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for enjoying perfectly cooked steaks, juicy burgers, and great service.
This was our first time visiting Cousino’s. The bruschetta was delicious, and the Ribeye steak was amazing. Our service was spot on, and the carrot cake was the finishing touch to a memorable evening out. We will definitely be back.

I just wanted to Thank Aileen and her wonderful team in helping me and my family celebrate my mother's 80 th Birthday on the 27th. Special thanks to Cory the chef who was so accommodating in adding last minute selections for the event and Charlie and Maggie who were our phenomenal servers. Food was delish and a great time was had by all.
Dee G — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cousino's Steakhouse has a truly charming space with classic appeal. The ambiance takes you back in time with its nostalgic decor and warm atmosphere. This visit, I indulged in the prime rib (end cut), which was cooked to perfection. It paired beautifully with their house potato casserole and a house salad topped with their homemade French dressing. This place never disappoints, but today was my favorite visit so far. Can't wait to come back!
Matt B — Google review
I’ve never been here so not sure what to expect. We were greeted and seated right away. Good service and the food was delicious. I got the steak medallions and it was flavorful.

This place is the best my first time and it's great service excellent food excellent I give it 5 stars.
Stephen D — Google review
The food and atmosphere were top notch except for this screaming child who was seated near us.. our waitress Emma went above and beyond even though we are both very indecisive individuals. Food came out extremely fast for being a rush hour on a Friday night.
Kimberly B — Google review
Service was very slow , considering the restaurant was not busy, there were little fly's buzzing around our table and in our faces while we sat waiting and while we're eating ,I ordered the 10 oz prime rib , medium rare , it had no pink , it was more like well done , the flavor was , just Ok. The potato casserole was just plain gross , it looked like the left over potatoes from the night before , mashed up , slopped in a cup with some kind of cold dill sauce poured over the top . The presentation of my dinner was very poor. The prices you people charge are ridiculous for the service and food that we received. Never again will we eat at this restaurant .
Kim M — Google review
Ok the pros. The food was amazing. From the appetizer to desert. Our waitress was super friendly. Ordered the Jumbo shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were huge. The bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly. Lots of options for desert and I got the chocolate turtle cheesecake. It was probably the best cheesecake that I've ever had. My wife and the French onion soup and she loved it. The place was clean and they did their best to make it look like fancy restaurant. Now the cons. Way OVERPRICED, $16 for 4 Jumbo shrimp is ridiculous. As good as the steak was it wasn't worth $50. Plus it's $4 each for sautéed onion and mushrooms. Deserts were actually reasonably priced. Drinks were expensive. They give you 3 rolls for 2 people, really? Now the worst part was, they seated a group of 8 with 2 noisy kids. Kinda ruined the experience. There was a separate area that they could have seated them in more suitable for kids. With all that said the food was a 9 out of 10. Unfortunately I will probably will not go back. I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and my bill would have been at least $100 cheaper. And it would be a more acceptable place for ignorant parents that like to bring their kids to a restaurant.

Fast food restaurant
The restaurant Balance Pan-Asian Grille is a great place to get good food and bubble tea. However, there are some problems with the service. The employees never print out receipts, so you have to ask for one, which is a hassle. Additionally, the noodles could use some extra flavor.
Great place to eat. It’s roughly $10 a bowl and the portions are more than enough. The bubble tea was also really nice. They were also very respectful of food allergies with options to label all of their food, and one of the servers was very attentive to my friend’s dairy allergy and went out of her way to find her sauce options. Will absolutely come back next time I’m in the area.
Dylan — Google review
Food is really good. The service is top notch! The person handing out the food (didnt catch his name) ran out after us because he forgot our sauce! He was so nice! Can't say enough good things about this staff.
Brittany B — Google review
I decided to try to citrus brussel sprouts and mongo tacos on my recent visit. I have a sesame allergy and neither of those items claimed to contain sesame. Immediately after eating, I was plagued by severe pain that lasted 3 days (a typical reaction when I ingest my allergen). I was very disappointed, as the menu never stated that sesame was an ingredient but clearly it got into the dish, whether accidentally or through cross contamination. Having to deal with this allergic reaction ruined my trip and made me never want to return here again.

Delicious good with quality ingredients, some of which the restaurant actually grows. My kids love the bubble tea and the Wiseman bowl is always delicious and fresh!

Restaurant
Toledo Spirits Company, specifically Bellwether, is a cocktail bar and kitchen that offers inventive cocktails made with carefully combined flavors from around the world. The food menu consists of small plates or finger foods that are flavorful and filling enough to be considered a meal when shared. Visitors praise the brave combinations of cocktails that just work and the delicious variety of food options.
Toledo Spirits offers a captivating dichotomy: a vibrant, soon-to-be-missed "Heavy Beer Bar" downstairs, and an elegant, sophisticated cocktail lounge upstairs. Downstairs, The "Heavy Beer Bar" exudes a trendy dive bar vibe. With a limited but thoughtfully curated selection of craft beers on tap and an inviting atmosphere featuring a table, a small bar, and a dedicated pinball corner, it's a haven for beer enthusiasts. Upstairs, The main lounge area is where Toledo Spirits truly shines. Rich wood accents, warm ambient lighting, and splashes of vibrant color create an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere. Seating options abound, ranging from comfortable lounge sofas to stylish high-top tables and a well-appointed bar. We opted for a corner table near the large windows, and the evening view of the illuminated river was simply breathtaking. While we focused on cocktails during our visit, past experiences have consistently highlighted the quality of their food menu. We highly recommend exploring their culinary offerings. The cocktail menu is a testament to creativity and craftsmanship. It features a captivating array of innovative concoctions with thoughtful liquor pairing suggestions, alongside a selection of classic cocktails, wines, beers, and even non-alcoholic options. My house red wine (Cabernet) was exceptionally smooth, and the other cocktails we sampled were visually stunning and incredibly flavorful. Our server, Ashley, was a true gem. Her bubbly personality, friendly demeanor, and expert guidance in navigating the drink menu made our experience truly enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a leisurely evening. Toledo Spirits offers more than just drinks. A well-stocked bottle shop showcases their own spirits, merchandise, and a curated selection of other beverages. We also observed a captivating mixology class in progress, adding an intriguing element to the overall experience. Overall Toledo Spirits is a unique and captivating destination. With its diverse offerings, from the lively "Heavy Beer Bar" to the elegant cocktail lounge, coupled with exceptional service and a captivating ambiance, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable experience in Toledo

We loved our first visit to Toledo Spirits. A cocktail class brought us in but the friendly service, awesome atmosphere and delicious drinks made it an easy choice to stay for a while. Hats off to the owners that designed this space. There are cozy seating nooks, table seating and bar seating. Prices are reasonable, drinks are unique and refreshing. They also offer a specialized menu offering a variety of vegan, vegetarian and regular dining options. Our party of 6 had a great experience and we look forward to coming back!

Run, don’t walk to Toledo spirits new brunch! My husband I enjoyed the vibe , the cocktails and the food! Logan took great care of us this morning. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful also. We had the bacon vodka bloody Mary’s which were fabulous! My husband loved the sausage gravy and biscuits best in town! I had the biscuits with the mushroom gravy, also delicious! I think you just can’t go wrong there. We took an almond croissant 🥐 to go which was in fact a “ bomb ass “ croissant! 😂 we HIGHLY recommend Toledo Spirits for brunch , lunch , dinner or just cocktails.

Oh darn I forgot to get photos and so now I have to go back 😉 Went as a party of six to the boozy brunch. Food was INCREDIBLE- between us we got the biscuits and gravy (so good), handover flatbread (wonderful), two shrimp and grits (loved), the croqué monsieur (made my husband trade me so I could eat it), and the Spanish tortilla (looked incredible, didn’t try a bite!) and then various beverages. They were out of the white peach sangria and so I was given a senorita sunrise and it was (surprise, surprise) SO good. The ambiance is great, the service was phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back!
