Enjoyed the short and at times steep trail to the big rock. My dog and my sister made the trip with me. Seems to be a popular spot for rock climbing, and hiking. Signs were up for recent bear activity, we saw nothing. The foggy conditions made it a nice Halloween ish vibe to the hike. This is a gorgeous park! It’s well maintained. There are picnic tables, BBQ grills, campgrounds, restrooms and pet friendly. So many trails to walk your pet, ride your horse and cycling (traditional bikes and electric bikes). There’s so much beauty here.

Wonderful trail network in Spokane. The trails offer a plethora of outdoor activity access including; mountain biking, hiking, running, walking and nature viewing. Dogs are allowed on leash. The mosquitoes were a bit voracious but, just wear bug spray or cover up.
There is access to the Spokane river which is nice for a quick cool down.
A discovery pass is required for parking. You can also purchase a day pass at the trailhead.

I went almost 5 miles but I also didnt stay on the main trail. This place is absolutely breathtaking taking and only a 15 - 20 minute drive from Spokane. The views are breathtaking as are the trails. I saw lots of people walking their dogs on leash as well as riding their bikes through the trails. Plenty of parking there is even a camp ground. Definitely a beautiful place to come explore. We enjoyed our stay at this CCC built state park.
Sites one through 18 are on the river and much more spacious and have full utilities. We enjoyed the beauty of the Spokane River, walking across the suspension bridge and hiking the trails. The mosquitoes on the trail were very present, but in the campground we saw very few. There are flush toilets and warm showers. TMobile cell service was surprisingly slow given our proximity to Spokane. We did not have reservations beforehand and got the last space available on a Monday, Advise reservations. This area is always so clean and beautiful every time I visit. The playground is surrounded by a vast grass great for letting kids run wild. Dogs are required to be leashed. There a several trail options of varying distances. Also wooden "stairs" (for lack of better term) in areas where assistance may be needed to get up/downhill. The parking area is a barrage of potholes but if you drive slow it's no big deal regardless of what you drive. Some trails are currently closed due to some forest fire prevention logging going on.

Free parking in the main lot, or drive directly in front of the park and park there for free. Lots of trails on the hill…the park is basic. A beginner can do this hike could also get easily lost if you are not directionally aware. The views were pretty the hike was gorgeous. Get a good view of Spokane at one point. This was a pretty crowded trail parking wise but didn’t really encounter many people on the trail itself. Once I found parking the trail was easy to find and follow. Very well marked and easy to navigate with many options to extend or shorten your hike. The trail was kinda bland and boring but still a great hiking trail. We loved this hike. You do need a Discovery Pass stop park but they're is a kiosk by the ranger station at the entrance to the camping ground and parking for hiking where you can purchase one so no worries there. There is water at the entrance to the trail from the parking lot so you can fill up. They're was no water in the trail I found. The majority of the trails are full or partial sun so I can get hot but there are places just off the trail to get in the shade. Not a lot of water access once you get started but there are places where you can see the river and get close. The suspension bridge is very fun to walk on, bouncy even. Jogging or off road strollers would probably do ok once you get up above the stairs at the beginning of the trails after the bridge. The main trail is wide and relatively smooth. Small wheeled strollers would likely get stuck in all the rocks and be hard to push so save yourself the frustration. Only saw one bench along the way this time but lots of big rocks or clear ground to rest on. Later in the summer all the berry bushes will be full of fruit and would make for a juicy hike. We saw trail runners, bikers, hikers, and families like us in the trails. Will definitely be coming back. And there is a nice camp ground, I think I saw $10/night and campers there too not sure what their price was or if there were hook ups.

It’s a great place to be and visit anytime of year! Walking down Manito Boulevard and around the park on the pathways during the Fall with the golden leaves everywhere is amazing! I took my two little ones here for a new adventure. I was horribly mislead by the pictures of water from across the road and expected a small grassy park that led down to or overlooked the river. Maybe a picnic area. Aside from the snack bag and a blanket, we were horribly unprepared.

My two sandled tots didn't make it far up the hill so we stopped to have a small picnic. We got swarmed by mosquitoes and had to go lower into the dirt, rocks and sun. I kind of want to give a negative review so that there’s less people on the trails, but I just can’t do it. This place is incredible. I’ve never played the disc golf course; I’ve only ridden the mtb trails, but I hear that is excellent too. We drive 40 minutes to ride here when there’s trails much closer to us because it’s that good. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the security of the parking lot - cars get broken in to every once in a while. I definitely wouldn’t recommend leaving anything of value in your car when you ride.

Camp Sekani is fun place to go for a hike just a short distance from the city. We hiked through the snow and it was beautiful. There is also a disc golf course available. This is an excellent trail system with variation between wide open meadows and forested single track. Fun to run around and explore but I wish there were a couple smaller map signs throughout for navigation. Plenty of people out enjoying it for dog walking and disc golfing. This is one of my favorite trails of all times. I have already done two hikes this week. The whole loop is 5.4miles. Takes up to 3hrs depending on your pace. I would rate this as a moderate hike. Beautiful views almost the whole time you are on the trail. The trail itself is gravel, but easy to walk on. My elderly mother could walk the trail at her pace while I climbed on all the rocks.
