It’s my favourite hotel in Ipswich. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and the beds are really comfortable, they also have great views of the marina. Breakfasts were good quality ingrediants but please add beans and ask if person requires or would like additional items. All in all this was a nice quirky hotel with a room with a view. Upon arrival we were early for our reservation the hotel was happy to keep our luggage while we went for lunch and even brought our baggage to our room when it was ready. The owner Martin was also extremely helpful and communicative, which was particularly appreciated as I was preparing for my late father's funeral, and the whole experience was extremely pleasant. This even extended to me being able to leave my bags in the room on the day of checkout, as I wanted to explore and had a late train, and Martin and his team were really kind and understanding, even when I got distracted by a call and forgot to finish packing up my stuff before I left, which they did for me. I cannot recommend this place enough, particularly if you are looking for a base where you can have a little home from home and go and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and villages of Suffolk but still want to be within spitting distance of Ipswich.
