When we first arrived we were very impressed with the landscaping and attention to detail, you can tell they take pride in making the outside look nice. Silos restaurant was lovely, great food, drinks and service! Tony the bartender is phenomenal and made for a fun experience. The resort offers a shuttle service with no cost which we really appreciated and used frequently, Nick and Kelsie are awesome! The resort also offers discounted rates for near by activities. We met a lot of wonderful people and pets, it was hard leaving such a beautiful location but we can’t wait to come back again soon. I highly recommend staying here if you want a one of a kind beautiful, relaxing experience.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return. The amenities for families are very good, including a restaurant, pool, fire pits, and an activity area. The location is great and easily walkable to many Canal Park locations. We did experience a bit of a rude greeting when we inquired about checking in early, which was unfortunate. Also the barn door on the bathroom didn’t offer much privacy which we were not fans of. I will say though that the rooms seemed quite soundproof and we didn’t hear a peep all night. We watched a traveling Broadway play at the DECC & Pier B provided a free shuttle to & from the show! It was soooo nice to not have to worry about transportation, or parking - just got dropped off at the front doors. They had regular coffee in the lobby on a side table. The whole place was extremely well maintained and they had plenty of friendly staff which is seemingly harder to find. The staff are essentially useless. They’re very good at ignoring you. If you bring an issue to their attention they’ll give lip service to it but not actually resolve anything. The rooms were a good size and the bathrooms had plenty of counter space. And then breakfast, just nasty. No waffle maker even though there were signs on the wall that said there was one. The sausage was like rubber, the potatoes were bathed in pepper and the eggs were juicy. And better yet, they were out of coffee in the morning. The smell of weed was extreme. It was almost like people were smoking it in the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! Disgusting! The only reason we ended up staying two nights is because we had prepaid and the bed itself was fine.

The rooftop rotating restaurant has wonderful views, but sadly very outdated, very dirty and food & service was mediocre at best. So disappointing, because it could be an awesome space.
