Despite being busy and probably me being a potentially 'needy' guest all enquiries/orders etc where met with a genuine smile and help/answers! The bartender who I asked to ask for my son for I.d while he bought his first legal pint was met with a smile and great banter while I took a pic! But also a big thankyou also goes to Ryan the manager. He was excellent which clearly echoes down into his team. Nothing was too much trouble. He explained everything when we walked in, was always available, happy, personable, professional, helpful, busy the list is endless! Several of us in the party have worked in the restaurant industry in varying levels and respect how hard it gets especially on key days/nights. But these guys nailed it as did Ryan. Even when I gave Ryan some of the birthday cake and a cash tip he explained without arrogance that he gave it to the staff as he was salaried. That there is a huge green flag. Paid for the car parking and went to leave. Rang the pub to see if by chance they were open and just shut up the front (or opening later) to refund the car parking. Kitchen opening soon so haven’t tried the food yet but we spoke to Alfi who will be managing the kitchen and is a really nice guy with great plans for food from next weekend.
