Halais Restaurant is definitely a good spot for biriyani lovers – the biriyani here was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The Milo shake was also tasty, though a bit disappointing since half the glass was filled with ice cubes 🥲.
One drawback we faced was the service. The waiters seemed a bit arrogant – they brought additional items to our table claiming we had ordered them, and even when we pointed out the mistake, they did not accept their fault. This left us with a slightly unpleasant impression.
That said, if you’re going mainly for the food, especially the biriyani, it’s worth a visit. A little improvement in service would make the overall experience so much better.

Had an amazing dining experience at BayRoute Bistro with my group of 4 friends! 🤩
We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious.
Let's start with the starters - the Loaded Cheesy Chicken was a hit! 🧀🐓 The cheesy flavor was perfect, and it was nicely cooked.
For the main course, we ordered a spread that included:
- Butter Naan: Soft, flaky, and flavorful, perfect for scooping up sauces.

It’s hard to put into words how exceptional both the food and the service were at this restaurant. We’re genuinely sorry we discovered this gem only on the last day of our trip. We had the Elayil Prawns Thengapal and the Naymeen Tengapal, and before that the Kayal Chemeen soup — and it’s honestly difficult to say which one was better. A bit hesitant at first given they serve multiple types of cuisines, we mainly had Indian food and it was so good - chicken was very tender, and the parathas were so delicious. We ordered a prawn and fish dish attached photos for reference, it was not wow or amazing. It wasn't overall that great since most dishes weren't satisfactory, it's not that it wasn't fresh or tasted really bad. It just wasn't good enough. Expected better.

This restaurant located inside the resort is such a beautiful one! Its lake side with perfect seating giving you glorious views of the lake. Food options are quite decent and priced accordingly. They served us a side of complimentary bread which was surprisingly so delicious ! Service can feel slightly slow but you won’t be bored as the views are amazing. Visited Choola Restaurant at Punnamada Resort. The ambience is really nice — calm and beautifully set up, that’s definitely the main highlight.
Food was just average though. The fish roast was disappointing as the fish wasn’t fresh. Other dishes like soups, meen curry, and prawns honey chilli were good (4/5).
Prices are on the higher side — around ₹800 per person — which feels too much for the quality of food served.

Delicious restaurant with a lovely lake view!! Incredible wide selection of local Indian food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommend! The staff are all so lovely and accommodating. What a lovely place tucked inside a lovely traditional Keralan style building. We arrived 30 minutes early but they let us sit early and order.
Despite that the food came out quick and hot!

It's next to the Reliance mall, after the mall, I wasn't that hungry but I felt like a give a try to yet another pure vegetarian restaurant.
And I chose all time my favourite items like anything with paneer, so this time I chose afghani malai panerr tikka with naan option recommended by a friendly staff. It turned out to be the best paneer tikka I have ever had, since it's super juicy, moist and yet bouncy and so plump, subtly hard! Just incredibly delicious with or without dunking it into mint sauce. The freshly baked naan is very good too!
Highly recommended and I will for sure come again to try more tiffin items.🇮🇳👍

(Even when no other customers were around at the time of our arrival) Once the dishes did arrive it got much worse. The Cheese pancake was near unpalatable and even the fresh lime juice was way too bitter. In short, the service and the food were nothing short of pathetic.

Even though a bigger restaurant like Halais is nearby I have noticed that its crowd never really affects this place which is why I often come here whenever we need food quickly or in an emergency. Exceptional! It was an amazing experience dining at Bianco. I visited with my family of 5 and did not face any significant wait time. The attender led us to the table as soon as it was available. The waiter patiently explained our queries regarding the dishes and did not force anything. Food tool some time to reach the table but the quality and taste made me forget about the wait. Amazing food. The prices are justified for what is offered. Definitely worth a visit when travelling on the highway.
I want to specially mention the staff who took the used plates from our tables as well. They were well mannered and did not cause any inconvenience while clearing the table. Good job guys!

This is a decent fine dining experience, which surprised me especially, not expecting to find such a restaurant in Allepey. Now, the food, it is equally good. The juices which cost 250 wasn't worth the prices , but the vibe the aesthetic, dining experience and serving were good and was as expected from such a price range.
