Koza Han, also known as Cocoon Han, is a historic silk market with stunning Ottoman-era architecture and a wide range of retailers. This multilevel han was built at the end of the 15th century by architect Abdul Ula Bin Pulad Shah under the orders of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II. The han served as an inn for merchants and consists of two courtyards, barns, warehouses, and 95 rooms.
Beautiful building. Courtyard offered a serene place for a cup of tea. Bazaar style shopping to be had around the outside of building. Inside had lil shops with silk scarves and delicates. Fresh fruits and veggies galore a lil further down. Enjoyed this explorer day alot!

Visiting friends in Bursa for the Adha holiday, I was invited, among other places, to experience the special atmosphere of this charming place, the Koza Han, where people flock from various places in Turkey and around the city. It’s a huge courtyard where cafés and other shops abound, each offering their unique coffee flavor, sweets or food. We settled in one corner overlooking the yard, and waited patiently for what proved to be the best Turkish coffee I’ve tasted to date: Gözde kahve (favorite coffee). What makes it unique is the way it’s prepared slowly over coal, the way one would barbecue. The server brought the trays carrying the empty cups (each of a different color), as well as water and loukoum, a local tradition, which I find endearing. Later, when the coffee was ready, he brought each separately in a copper coffee pot, made differently to meet each of our tastes (sweet, black, half sugar). Just sitting there and observing the crowd around gives one a sense of serenity and calm, something we needed at the end of a very busy and tiring day. People sitting and chatting, others mulling around, the smell of coffee brewing hanging in the air, it’s all a pleasure one has to experience. I would definitely recommend for everyone who gets the chance to enjoy 😊 this treat.

It might be a historical place. But it is occupied by cafes. And everyone smokes here. You can feel vibe of smoking heaven. If there are not many cafes here like now, it would be much beautiful and great place than now.
Mothusi — Google review
Beautiful place with shops specialized in different things but mostly silk. Ambient is nice. There is very small masjid in the middle from 2hich you can take more panoramic pics and videos fir the place. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because only being small but there several other Han beside it so you can walk for longer time and see other shops but most importantly enjoy the sepcial vibe there.
Sherif M — Google review
Koza Han is a beautiful historical place in the heart of Bursa. The atmosphere is peaceful, full of history, and surrounded by lovely shops and cafés. You can enjoy Turkish tea under the trees and feel the spirit of the old Silk Road.
Nafise S — Google review
A very cute inn with a tiny mosque in the middle, inside there are shops selling mostly textile products, and there are also small cafes where you can drink tea and coffee.
Baran A — Google review
Pretty place, but most stores sell only stoles, nothing much to shop here.

Enjoyed hot chocolate and from one of the little cafes and it was aglow with so many shops selling silk scarfs, wraps and dresses 😍

A very much nice place. Entrance is only 2 liras, you can use the bus card to go in. The place is nice and clean and the music playing all the time was very nice too. Walking inside was organised as well, you need to follow the foot signs on the ground to walk through it. The only problem was that all instructions were in Turkish language only.

The Irgandi Bridge, constructed during the Ottoman era in 1442, is a significant historical landmark in Bursa. It served as a commercial hub with an Ottoman bazaar on top and storage spaces within its main structure. The bridge is adorned with traditional arts and crafts outlets, offering visitors a glimpse of artisans at work. Its yellow bazaar atop the ancient stone bridge makes it a unique sight in Turkey.
This bridge is built over a tiny stream, and there are artistic shops on the right and left of the bridge.

The Bursa Grand Mosque, also known as the Ulu Mosque, is a magnificent and ornate structure built in 1399 by Ottoman Sultan Bayezid. This Seljuk-style mosque features 20 domes and two towering minarets, making it a dominant and enduring symbol of Bursa.
The Grand Mosque in Bursa is a truly remarkable place – majestic, beautiful, and filled with a sense of history and spiritual peace. We visited early in the morning, when everything was still quiet and the mosque was gently alive with people in prayer. The atmosphere was deeply moving – a moment of calm and reflection that’s well worth experiencing. When visiting, don’t miss the chance to wander through the side streets around the mosque. It’s there that you’ll truly feel the heart of Bursa, surrounded by kind, welcoming locals and the charm of everyday life. A visit that leaves a lasting impression.

The Ulu Cami Mosque is an absolute must-see! If you visit Bursa, this magnificent mosque should definitely be on your list. It was commissioned by Sultan Bayezid I after his victory at the Battle of Nicopolis in 1396 and completed around 1399. The mosque was designed by the famous architect Ali Neccar, and it stands as one of the finest examples of early Ottoman architecture. Built in the Seljuk multi-dome style, it features 20 domes supported by massive pillars, a design that symbolically reflects the Sultan’s vow to build twenty mosques, which he instead fulfilled by constructing one grand mosque with twenty domes. As its name suggests, the “Great Mosque” is truly majestic, richly decorated with intricate calligraphy, geometric motifs, and a central fountain used for ablution. Ulu Cami marks an important transition between the Seljuk and classical Ottoman styles, blending simplicity, symmetry, and spiritual harmony.

Both the cami and the türbesi are beautiful art work , calligraphy and glass work. One of the many beautiful mosques in Bursa.

This tomb belongs to Mehmet Çelebi Sultan, one of the sultans of the Ottoman empire. There are a few other tombs that belong to the sons and daughters of the sultan. The architecture of this tomb complex reflects Ottoman style. As it is a holy place, dressing modestly is recommended.

The Green Tomb is renowned for its extraordinary and stunning decoration, both inside and out. Its walls are adorned with beautifully crafted tiles that showcase intricate designs and vibrant colors, enhancing its visual appeal. The tomb is the final resting place of Mehmed I, the fifth Ottoman Sultan. It was built by his son and successor, Mehmed II, who decided to lavish more decoration on it than most other structures of the time. Ideally located nearby, both the Green Mosque and the Green Tomb are easily accessible, making them perfect to visit together. Their close proximity offers visitors a seamless opportunity to explore two of Bursa’s most treasured Ottoman landmarks.

This complex is set in pleasant gardens with a small cafe for refreshments. The mosque with the is very impressive, commissioned by Sultan Murad ll it contains 12 tombs(türbe)most belonging to the relatives of the Sultan. The mosque was completed in 1426, fire damaged the mosque in early 18th century, and one of the minarets collapsed due to an earthquake in the 19th century.,. The complex houses a Madrasa, Bath, and Maradiye Hospice. The Madrasa (school) is now a museum. It was the last complex built by an Ottoman Sultan in Bursa, Murad ll what is the father of Mehmet, the conqueror. Some of the tombs have is Iznik tiles. The museum has beautiful copies of the Quran. I found this to be a beautiful and relaxing place, despite the fact it must attract many tourists and local people.

Cumalikizik Village, a UNESCO-protected site, was established by the people of Kizik who sought refuge in the Ottoman Empire. The village's well-preserved houses and streets offer a glimpse into its rich history. Visitors can explore alleyways lined with locals selling crafts and merchandise while immersing themselves in the heritage. The village provides an opportunity to witness traditional Turkish culture and architecture from the Ottoman era.
I visited in February so it was not crowded at all. It was an actual journey back in time. The village is a beautifully preserved Ottoman site of over 700 years old, offering a true glimpse into history. The cobblestone streets, colorful wooden houses, and authentic village atmosphere made me feel like stepping into another era. The locals are warm and welcoming, and everybody was trying the traditional Turkish breakfast here. As a UNESCO site it’s a fantastic place for history lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to experience authentic Ottoman charm. Local produce was incredible, especially wool-made traditional clothing.

A quiet and charming place, blending the past with the present. Most people visit for breakfast and to spend time inside the old traditional houses. It was nice experience but walking on odd leveled stone road there is very tiring and bit tortuous for old people. Please wear well coushioned sports shoes only if you plan to come here. It'll very crowded on weekends, so stay together and well connected if you are in a group. Enjoy the local crafts and jewelry for ladies.

It is worth to visit here. If you take on No.2 subway, yon should drop off at Cumalikizik station. Then, take a Dolmus to the village(if you ask to anyone in the street, they will tell you. Another gem of artwork and design in Bursa's historic mosques and tombs. What it lacks in colours and ooh-aah moments of the Grenn Mosque are made up for in the simplicity of the designs and patterns. Brilliant red carpet fits in nicely with the artwork

The Karagoz Museum in Bursa, Turkey, is a unique celebration of the traditional art of Turkish shadow puppetry, particularly the Karagoz theater. It houses an extensive collection of exquisitely crafted puppets, costumes, and accessories that offer visitors a captivating insight into this centuries-old performance art.
Ive always loved karagoz and hacivat! Used to watch some clips on tv back in the day so seeing this was super cool! Its a shame the culture of storytelling with puppets is dying whilst it being a very fun and special. Its a small museum and it was free to enter. It was super interesting to read the given information and see how those puppets actually look like in real life. I wouldve loved for this museum to have a museumshop with souvenirs! Sadly stores nearby didnt sell anything related to karagoz and hacivat either
Elif C — Google review
A very interesting museum! I've read about the Karagoz and Bahlavan in the Middle Eastern and Central Asian culture before and how they influenced kingdoms and civilians but never thought of finding a place that tells the story through pictures, old newspapaers and wooden figures from various destinations. Also, i was lucky to attend a Karagoz play during a school trip. Of course, it was in turkish and i didn't understand a word, but the music was so entertaining it reminds me of my childhood, add to that the excitement and energy i felt amongst the children..That was priceless!!

Entrance is free of charge. Building is very nice from outside but inside exposition is boring. And text is very long which makes it difficult to read and in the end you don't get any idea about the shadow theatre.

If you are nearby, pop in. Signs are in Englishand Turkish, and some of the staff speak a little English. They do live puppet shows some mornings too (call ahead ri check). You need about 30-60 minutes to do it justice.

One of the highlights of our stay in Nevsehir. The children loved playing with the shadow puppetry and having a go at “ebru”, Turkish marbling. We had the entire place to ourselves first time we went. Children loved it so much that we came back after a couple of days. There was a school trip visiting and a short puppetry show was put on (in Turkish) which was a bonus!

Small museum yet having a rich collection of Roman era artefacts found in the area. There are several rooms - sarcofagus area (each of the marble plate has QR code next to it where the markings are translated), busts and statues area, pottery and amphoras area, coins area. Tophane Clock Tower is a striking 15-meter-tall neoclassical structure that was reconstructed in 1905. Originally built as a fire tower, it has become a popular attraction for both local and Arab tourists, partly due to the city's natural beauty and its prominence in Turkish movies and TV series. The area around the clock tower is rich in historical sites, including the tombs of Osman Ghazi and Orhan Ghazi, the founding fathers of the Ottoman Empire.
Totally worth it! If not for the historical monuments then at least just for the fantastic view of old town Bursa with its beautiful old mosques and bazaars, and the gorgeous mountainside.

Tophane Park is located in Bursa's Osmangazi neighborhood. This is one of Bursa's busiest areas. There are so many historical sites surrounding this park. The Tophane Park is surrounded by lovely flower gardens and trees. This is really energizing. The sight of tulip blooms in the center of the park astounded me. Additionally, the entire Tophane Square is visible from the park's summit. The Tophane Clock tower and Osman Gazi's tomb are located in this park. Osman Gazi's tomb : The founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi, was buried at this tomb. There are also a number of graves. The following people are buried there as well: Nilüfer Hatun, the wife of Osman Gazi; his son Şehzade Kasım Çelebi, his daughter Fatma Sultan, Murad's son Savcı Bey and Asburçe Hatun, Yıldırım Bayezid's sons Musa Çelebi, Şehzade Korkut, and Cem Sultan's son Şehzade Abdullah. Tophane Clock Tower: Bursa's Tophane Clock Tower was built by Ottoman Sultan II. It is an important monumental work reflecting the architecture of the Ottoman period. The historical clock tower is said to have been constructed to commemorate Abdulhamid's throne ascension on its 29th anniversary. This significant massive structure embodies the Ottoman era's architectural style. It has six floors and a height of 33 metres. Stunning viewpoint overlooking Bursa from beside the tower. From August 2, 1904, to August 31, 1905, was when the clock tower's construction was finished.

Nestled in the charming suburb of Cekirge, the Bursa Atatürk Museum is a remarkable homage to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkey's founding father. This beautifully preserved 19th-century timber mansion served as his residence during visits in the 1920s and '30s. Visitors can explore several rooms adorned with original furniture, personal belongings, and photographs that vividly illustrate Atatürk's life and legacy.
So between 12-13 they have a lunch break. Me and my family came from the Karagoz museum and were there during the break (12.20) however there wasnt any store near that sold water, the kind lady from the staff brought us a whole litre of water for us to drink AND shared a delicious portion of irmik with us (best ive ever had honestly). So we absolutely loved the kind staff! The house itself isnt super big but its impressive to see and know ataturk has been and lived there

So sad! It appears to be a beautiful mansion. Most of the furniture items are originals used by Atatürk himself! Unfortunately, the museum is closed for renovations.

Although this is a historical site, there's not much to see here. Just a display of old furniture. Lack of information provided. If you want to learn about Atatürk this is not the place. Only 1st and 2nd floor open. You'll see about 4 rooms. It takes 10 minutes to walk through. Don't go out of your way to come here. However, if you're nearby I recommend walking across the street to the park. ✅ Free

I definitely recommend to go there if you get the chance to visit Bursa.

Nestled in the heart of Bursa's historical Al-Muradia district, the Museum of Ottoman House offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. This charming two-story wooden structure, located right across from the Sultan Murad Mosque, is not just any museum; it’s also the birthplace of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, known for conquering Istanbul. (Translated by Google) Located on Aralık Street in the Muradiye neighborhood of Bursa, near the Murad II Social Complex, the house has three floors: a basement, ground floor, and first floor. The basement is accessed from the north side, while the ground and first floors are accessed from the courtyard on the west side. An example of civil architecture, the house was expropriated and restored by the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums of the Ministry of National Education in 1946. It was re-opened as a museum in 1958, with its exhibition arrangements. It was repaired again in 1973 and 1992, and its exhibition arrangements were re-arranged. From the exterior, the house, which sits on a stone foundation, has its east facade plastered up to the first floor level. The slightly protruding first floor features brickwork laid in zigzag patterns between wooden beams. This facade features loophole-type windows at the basement level, rectangular windows on the ground floor, and round-arched plaster latticework skylights above the rectangular windows on the first floor. The windows have wooden casements. The west facade of the house, which provides access to the ground and first floors, is divided by wooden pillars. The ground floor features a balcony with wooden railings, while the upper floor opens to the outside with windows in the Bursa arch style. The northern section is plastered. The south facade is blind. The building is entered via a six-step staircase located south of the axis on the west facade. An open-fronted iwan hall and iwan flank each room. The plan is repeated on the upper floor. Inside, the low-ceilinged ground floor is made of wood and bares no decorative elements. Upstairs, an iwan hall and two symmetrical rooms opening onto the iwan and iwan reflect the finest examples of 17th-century woodwork. The ceiling of the hall is decorated with a cream-colored, green-red zigzag pattern, while the ceiling of the iwan is decorated with motifs consisting of a star in the center and hexagons surrounding it. Therefore, it is also known as the birthplace of Mehmed the Conqueror, the conqueror of Istanbul. The two-story house, now a museum, exhibits 17th-century characteristics in its layout and decoration, making it one of the oldest surviving houses in Bursa. The plan consists of an iwaned hall opening onto the garden and two rooms. The lower floor rooms are low-ceilinged winter rooms. In the upper floor, the "main room," a magnificent wooden wardrobe decorated with hand-carved plant and flower motifs, a geometrically decorated wooden ceiling, and a hexagonal ceiling spire all showcase the beautiful and characteristic features of 17th-century decoration. The museum building, which consists of three floors: basement, ground floor, and first floor, features a fountain with a marble trough made of cut stone in its courtyard. A wooden staircase leads to the ground floor, which is flanked by a large hall with wooden railings and a bedroom. The first floor, accessed by a wooden staircase, houses the guest lounge, dining room, and harem rooms. The Ottoman House Museum is a work of art created by Bursa craftsmen. Antique Green Silk Market, located in the Covered Bazaar, offers a small and cozy environment with beautiful decor. Upon entering, visitors are greeted with typical Turkish coffee, tea or drinks. The market displays items in an appealing fashion and offers souvenirs such as local flower-designed silk square scarves and shawls. While prices may be higher than regular markets, it's understandable given the location and target market.
Nice small and cozy environment. They offer you typical Turkish coffee/tea/drink as you enter. The decor is beautiful. The items are displayed in a fashion where they look nicer which is brilliant. The prices might be higher than regular markets but it's understandable given the location and the target market.

This is one of the itineraries from my tour agency. The store is small and too tight as you can't move especially if there is a throng of tourists. Indeed, a free coffee or tea for every tourist. Love the combination and different colors of the lamp decorations and so with the silk. Well, there is one staff and we followed him outside the store (we thought he was part of the tour agency exclusively in that store) but then, at the end he want to sell a product that was kinda expensive. Good thing that I and the others never bought anything there. Perhaps it is a tourist trap.

Avoid buying anything at all costs here. What they quote to you is three times the actual price. Don't let the persistent attitude of the people there fool you. It is a tourist trap!!!

tourist trap. I will tell you how we were scammed in this place and How did they cooperate with the tour guide to scam tourists. First I agreed from my country with a company and this company agreed with a company from Turkey to organize tours for us in “Istanbul” (it was the biggest mistake I made) and this company had trapped us a lot and one of them was this place, they took us a whole day to Bursa just for this place and when we arrived they told us to stay in this place for 5 hours and not to go anywhere else and when we entered the place the people who work there came to us and started trying to convince us to buy ridiculous things of poor quality at a very high price (10x the price outside) and the more we refused they insisted and my friend from Saudi Arabia when they knew she was an Arab they started raising the price and trying by all means to sell her. We couldn't even buy water from there . And then we learned that the company agreed with this place to bring tourists to it,
Karina G — Google review
Well .. this place is nice and artistic, the people also friendly but maybe because we are tourists, and they will keep pursuing you to buy the items there.. to be honest the prices are too expensive compares to other markets, we said so because we have explored 7 cities in Turkiye and many markets and compare the prices...
Nova P — Google review
They sell fake silkscarf !!! 800 YTL. I found the same in Istanbul to 350. Also labels as 100 percent silk. Also fake !!! A really touristtrap. I am so disappointed.

The Osman Gazi Türbesi is an Ottoman tomb located on a hilltop in Bursa, Turkey. The building has been reconstructed from a Byzantine structure and includes a terrace with cafes that offer stunning views of the surrounding area. While some visitors find the tomb to be overly decorated and not aligned with Islamic teachings, it remains an important historical site for many people. The tomb itself is elevated above floor level, which goes against traditional Islamic burial practices.
Visiting the Osman Gazi Tomb was a truly moving experience. As the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi holds a significant place in Turkish history. The tomb itself is beautifully maintained and reflects the grandeur of the Ottoman era. The serene atmosphere allows for quiet reflection on the life and legacy of this important figure. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in Turkish history and culture!

Here lies the founder of the Ottoman Empire. The shrine attracts many visitors and is ket in a very good condition. The guards at the entrance are dressed in the former of the days when Osman was the Sultan. They are a part of the attraction of the place. As it is a mausoleum, modest dressing is recommended.

The resting place of Osman Gazi, holy shrines of other important figures and close companions of the Ottoman regime. Located in Tophane park, which overlooks the panoramic view of Bursa city. Open to the visitors and free to enter, a calm, quiet and peaceful atmosphere near the tomb. A ceremonial reenactment used to perform there. Dressed as Ottoman soldiers and offer tribute to them in a crowd of spectators. Orhan Gazi's (Son of Osman Gazi) resting place is also next to this. Really a place to feel the old history and understand. A must visit spot in Bursa.

Here lies the first Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, I mean what can be said other than, May Allah grant Osman Gazi Jannat-ul-Firdous for all his contributions. The experience of visiting the tomb was very good. Make sure to stay till the end of the hour to see the guard change. Rest in peace sir.

The tomb of the first Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi! When Bursa was conquered in 1326, Osman was still alive but too ill and old to take part in the campaign, so his son Orhan led the conquest. Next to Osman Gazi’s tomb, you’ll also find the tomb of his son, Orhan Gazi. What’s interesting is that the tomb of Osman Gazi is still guarded by human guards!

Visiting the tomb of Osman Gazi was an amazing and unforgettable experience. As the founder of the great Ottoman Empire (Osmanlı Sultanate), his final resting place carries immense historical and cultural importance. The tomb is beautifully preserved, and the peaceful atmosphere allows visitors to truly reflect on the legacy of this iconic leader. What made my visit even more special was witnessing a traditional parade near the tomb. It added a vibrant and ceremonial touch to the experience, giving a glimpse into the rich Ottoman heritage and how it’s still honored today. The location also offers stunning views over Bursa, and nearby sites like Orhan Gazi’s Tomb and the historic Tophane Clock Tower make it a perfect spot for history lovers. A must-visit destination for anyone exploring the roots of the Ottoman Empire!

(Translated by Google) This mosque, built by Yıldırım Bayezid in 1399, is a good example of an inverted T-plan mosque with its iwans on both sides. The monumental entrance façade, entirely made of cut stone, rising over two floors with the Bursa arch, was built here for the first time. Stonemasonry produced the most beautiful products of its time in this structure. There are two domes back to back in the middle, an iwan on each side, and a room with a stove and small windows. Bursa arches used in the large arch separating the two main domes and in the windows give the mosque a distinct feature. The harim section and the iwans on the side are higher than the ground, and the top of the iwans are covered with a dome sitting on eight corners formed by pointed vaults. The rooms in the east and west of the mosque are made of plaster, with small and large cells and tongs. The right and left rooms, which are currently part of the masjid, were built to accommodate the guests of the period and had a fireplace and built-in shelves/cabinets to store items. The first half page of the An-Naba Surah is written in a circle on the right and left walls in the Harim area.

The Muradiye Mosque, located in Bursa, is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts. This stunning mosque, built in the 15th century, boasts an amazing interior with beautiful lighting. It sits atop a hill and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Visitors can also explore the nearby Bursa Castle and Fortress while taking in the picturesque scenery. The mosque's design reflects both Seljuk and Ottoman styles, making it a unique and historically significant site to visit in Turkey.
It is perfect to learn a little about the Ottoman Empire. It is very well maintained and it is free. I recommend it.

(Translated by Google) Emir Inn is the first of the inns built during the Ottoman period. This structure has been used under different names until today. These had different names such as Bezzaz-ı Atik, Bezzazistan, Bey Hanı, Sultan Hanı and Kervansaray, respectively. And finally, it became known as Emir Hani. There are 36 rooms with cellar-style windows on the lower floor, and 38 rooms with a window and a stove on the upper floor. The two-storey inn, which consists of 74 shops in total, also has an inner courtyard of 46x50 dimensions. There are porticoes on both floors of the inn. Both floors are surrounded by porticoes. There is a renovated fountain and old trees in the middle of the inn. This courtyard seems to be one of the most visited places by visitors. Because in addition to the thick walls surrounding the inn, the trees and canopies have become a place for tired visitors to rest and cool off. Emir Hani was a place where all kinds of commercial materials were weighed. The tax collected from the scales was also recorded as income in this khan. Textile products, souvenirs and books are sold in the inn, where visitors are always present, and it is still full of commercial life. Even though it was defeated by wild capitalism; These are warmer, more friendly and more peaceful places than the 'shopping malls', which are the modern day inns that are everywhere today.

A Must-Visit Gem – The Authentic Bursa Grand Bazaar Visiting the Bursa Grand Bazaar was truly one of the highlights of my trip. The atmosphere is vibrant, rich with culture, and filled with the kind of authenticity you rarely experience in modern markets. From the moment you step inside, you're transported into a world where tradition meets charm. What makes this place so special isn't just the variety of goods—from beautiful handwoven scarves and traditional textiles to spices, jewellery, and local crafts—but also the people. The shopkeepers are genuinely warm, welcoming, and proud of their heritage. They’re always happy to share stories behind their products and offer you tea while you browse, making the experience feel personal and unforgettable. The bazaar has a unique energy that reflects the deep history of Bursa itself. It’s not overly commercialised like many tourist spots—it’s authentic, rooted in centuries-old trade and craftsmanship. If you’re visiting Turkey, especially if you're interested in culture, local experiences, or just want to enjoy an amazing shopping atmosphere, the Bursa Grand Bazaar is an absolute must. You won’t regret it!

Bursa Castle is an absolute gem in the city of Bursa! Sitting atop of city is has stunning views. Parking was ample. We loved exploring this historic castle. The walls and towers are impressive, and you can really feel the history as you walk through the grounds. Each layer of the castle was from a different era and the visual storytelling was captivating. There's a small admission fee, but it's worth it for the views and the experience. We were delighted to find a cozy café inside where we could take a break and enjoy a drink. During our visit, there was an exhibit that started that day which is amazing. The videos in the prison section were powerful, which added an exciting touch to our experience. There are interactive elements in various areas. The combination of history, a and beautiful scenery makes Bursa Castle a fantastic stop. If you’re in the area, definitely take the time to check it out! We highly recommend it!

The construction of Bursa Castle dates back to the 1st century BC. It was first built by Bithynians. Then it was actively used in Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods and was renovated. The vicinity of Bursa attracted the attention of travelers after the 14th century. The excursions initiated by Ibn Batuta Bertrandon De La Broquire (1432), Polish Simeon (1608), Evliya Çelebi (17th century), Katip Çelebi (17th century), George Wheler (1675), Jean de Thevenot (1689 ), A. [2] Various blocks and rubble stones were used in the construction of Bursa Castle and it is a very high castle. The front walls between Pınarbaşı Gate and Zindan Kapı in Bursa walls, which have 5 gates, were lost between the houses. Among them, Hisar Kapı was destroyed in the earthquake in 1855.Bursa Kalesi’nin yapılışı MÖ 1. yüzyıla dayanır. After seeing some great reviews, we thought to visit this place. Let me tell you,its a very below average place made for tourists to scam them. There is currently no water in the river, its all dried with only stones left in it.We wanted to experience the jeep safari,so we called them first to get the price, the person on the phone quote us 2000 tl for 5 people for private tour for 1 hour. After reaching their he immediately changed the price to 3500 tl because we were foreigners. After we confronted the bald man he finally changed the price to 2000 tl but he forced us to pay in cash. The driver was very grumpy and careless. He took us to the little blue lake and on the way back he left us to a fruit garden to pick other passengers for the jeep safari ride. Our tour was private but felt nothing like private. After waiting for more than 20 minutes in extreme heat he came back with other 10 passengers to pick us.Such a huge disappointment .Also be aware from two women at the fruit garden name Helen and her friend, they are very intrusive and stingy, they also change prices after they see you as a foreigner. The man who picks the strawberries offered us 1 kg of strawberries for 150 tl but those women started asking 400 tl for 1 kg of strawberries. We were so tired of so many lies and cheap stuff from start to finish that we just wanted to get out of this trash place and go back our home. No, i don't recommend this place to anyone. The people who works there will trap and scam you. Please save your hard-earned money and precious time.

Low quality, very high prices, rude employees!!!!!!! I wouldn’t buy anything from this store. I bought a silk scarf (I don’t think it’s real silk) and took it to dry cleaner. Although it was cleaned based on instructions, it was ruined. I took so many garments to my dry cleaner, including silk garments and none of them were ruined. The problem is not the dry cleaner, it’s the scarf I bought from that store. I wouldn’t recommend this store to ANYBODY!

Don't go there, those are scammers! The shop is full of syrian sellers who just harasses you until you buy something, and at the end you realize you get scammed, I bought two "silk" scarfs that the seller swears it's real silk but then back to home my mom told me that's not even close to silk. The turkish boss (the one who gets payment) there is very rude and irrespectful and behaving weird, didn't pay too much attention to him but I should be definitely taken it as a red flag. The monument around are the only places that deserves to be visited, but skip this doomed shop.

Situated next to the Green Tomb and built in the 1420s, it offers a stunning example of this style. While smaller than the grand mosque, it boasts remarkable beauty and cleanliness. Visitors are required to remove their shoes before entering and can store them at designated areas. The mosque provides a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal place to spend time or attend Jumat prayer services.
Elegant architecture, tranquil landscapes and gardens, with certain charm oozing fm surounding area. You'll find its lovely just to sit and enjoy this amazing place.

(Translated by Google) A masterpiece of İznik tiles... Bursa's green jewel Frankly, the beauty of the green and blue tiles that adorn the interior walls of this mosque is beyond description. Every corner is a work of art in itself, especially the mihrab. The craftsmanship and precision in crafting these tiles are astonishing. It is not just a place of worship, but an open-air art gallery that reflects the splendor of early Seljuk and Ottoman art. Advice for a complete visit to the Green Mosque and its surroundings For anyone visiting the Green Mosque in Bursa, here are my tips for a complete experience: * Don't miss the Green Mausoleum (Yeşil Türbe): Located directly next to the mosque, it houses the mausoleum of Sultan Mehmed I, complementing it in beauty. * Admire the details: Take your time to admire the details of the tiles and the wood carvings, as they are the secret to the beauty of the place. * Enjoy the area: The area surrounding the mosque is beautiful and has lovely cafes and shops. (Translated by Google) Bursa City Hall building, founded in 1867, was built in 1880 during the tenure of Governor Ahmed Vefik Paşa and Mayor Hüseyin Hüsnü Efendi. It is the oldest city hall in Turkey. According to various sources, the architect of the building was Şehbender, a native of Kütahya. The city hall is located north of Hükümet Street, east of the Orhan Mosque, which is part of the 14th-century Orhan Külliyesi complex. It was built on the site of the former Orhan Imaret, which was destroyed in a fire. In terms of construction technique and façade features, the building reflects the Westernizing tendencies of Ottoman architecture that emerged from the 18th century onwards. Bringing together elements from different eras of the Ottoman Empire, Bursa City Hall is an example of the “Neo-Ottoman” style theorized in the work Usul-i Mimar-i Osmani (The Style of Ottoman Architecture), commissioned by the Minister of Public Works İbrahim Edhem Paşa for the Vienna International Exhibition of 1873.

The Statues Clock Tower is located in the middle of a roundabout, making it difficult to get close for a picture. Nearby, you can find the Ataturk statue and Turkish flags. It's recommended to visit if you're near Osmangazi or Serekustu metro station as there are beautiful views and a tram that offers a circular route for sightseeing. (Translated by Google) Cumalıkızık Mosque is a peaceful building that takes people back to the past with its historical texture. This mosque, dating from the early periods of the Ottoman Empire, is far from ostentation, but contains a deep spirituality. It has a small but friendly architecture; It gives you a warm feeling with its stone walls, wooden ceiling and handcrafted details. When you enter, you are surrounded by a simple but impressive atmosphere that bears the traces of ancient times. The ceiling structure formed by wooden beams and windows filtering in natural light provide a peaceful environment inside. The unity of the mosque with the stone streets and historical Ottoman houses around it makes it not only a place of worship, but also a place that makes you feel like you have traveled through time. If you happen to be in Bursa, be sure to visit this mosque after walking through the narrow streets of Cumalıkızık and breathing in the mystical air of the village. A special place where you will find peace in silence and feel like you have touched history.

(Translated by Google) The mosque located in the village square was built in the 17th century. Made of chestnut wood and without a dome, the mosque displays the characteristics of Seljuk architecture. With an interior area of 200 m², during the Ottoman period the west side was used as a mescit (small prayer room), while the east side was used as a medrese (religious school). After the earthquake of 1940, the roof part was renovated. The five-meter long eaves on the east and west directions are among the most striking features of Seljuk architecture. The tuğra (imperial monograms) above the door and the floral motifs of rose, tulip and carnation on the eaves are now almost erased. Also above the door are images of the Selimiye and Sultanahmet mosques. The examples of ornamental calligraphy (hüsn-ü hat) on the interior walls of the mosque are unfortunately covered by paint today due to lack of awareness. The single-gallery minaret (şerefe) was renovated in the 1973 restoration. The octagonal marble fountain, believed to be the şadırvan (ablution fountain), is located in the café garden in front of the mosque. It has been established that the mosque has a three-hundred-year history and was built on the site of the first mosque in the village. The wooden figure of the sultan's sun above the entrance gate is an Ottoman architectural motif that began to be used from the mid-19th century.
