Sazova Science, Art and Culture Park, also known as Sazova Park, is a popular attraction in Eskisehir, Turkey. It offers a variety of activities for families including play areas, a pirate ship and a fairy-tale castle overlooking a boating lake. The park also features an academic center with wax models of scientists who contributed to various fields.
Loved the park. The entrance is free for the park. However, the different attractions (castle, pirate ship, zoo, etc.) have a separate fee. But it isn't a lot. Kids loved exploring on foot and enjoyed the train ride as well. The play areas with slides and see-saws are nice. The whole park is extremely clean and well kept. The castle was nice but did not have a word of English in it which made it difficult to understand what the cultural pieces/drawings were about. However, it did not take away from the beauty of it. Overall, we had a great time and were there till it was about to close.

A Magical Place for All Ages – Sazova Park is a Must-Visit! Our visit to Sazova Science, Culture, and Art Park (Sazofa) was absolutely unforgettable! The park is incredibly well-designed, offering a perfect blend of nature, education, and entertainment. Whether you're with kids, friends, or just exploring on your own, there’s something special for everyone. We loved walking around the peaceful green spaces and were amazed by the beautiful Fairy Tale Castle, which looked like it came straight out of a storybook. The pirate ship, mini zoo, aquarium, and planetarium were big hits with the kids, while we enjoyed the calm and beauty of the Japanese Garden. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this park a place of joy and learning. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Eskişehir — it’s a place where imagination and culture come together beautifully!
Wael S — Google review
It was a nice park to take pictures in and had several cafes for people to rest, I could not get in the castle but I don't think they have a lot of fun in there anyways, it did not allow picnicing of any kind which made the experience less fun because what's the point in sitting by the pond if I am not going to be eating some homemade sandwiches by it, right. Other than that, it was free and the weather was good, so I liked the place but can't say I loved it. You can go there just to see the castle and get some pictures.
Esra N — Google review
A nice place to take young kids to enjoy. It is more like a miniature version of Disneyland, but nothing like Disneyland. The surrounding and outside of the building is beautifully designed but nothing much to see inside the castle. The mannequins inside the castle are a disaster, i wonder how they even got approved to be kept there. The 5 star is for just the view and park outside
Muhammad S — Google review
Nice to visit but during the summer it’s very hot to stay outdoor , I advise them to close late during the summer season to give more time for who come late .
Ali — Google review
Wide, beautiful, green place with multiple coffee shops on the site, I was expecting more things to do and more places to visit other than the castle that was mostly restriced which was a bummer, and the pirate ship which was very nice and well made
Safa J — Google review
You can reach to Sazova park by bus or tram. If you go by bus then take bus 11 from Odunpazari which goes to Sazova park directly. There is a bus stop in front of the park. If you travel by Tram, the last station is Osmangazi University. From there, you have to walk for 20 minutes to reach the park. The park is just right side of the university. The park is free for everyone. The park has following amenities- Sazova Castle, Lake, Ship Museum, Natural views, Water Aquarium and Science Museum.
MM O — Google review
This park is open for public with free of charge. Only on certain place such as ship and castle access for adult requires charges with very low cost. The open park was beautiful and well maintained. Some area has provided with small shop to provide water and ice-cream. Or you can bring some foods and drinks from shops outside enternce. Good job Turkiye!!

History Museums
The Eskişehir ETİ Archaeological Museum, located in the Odunpazari district, houses a diverse collection of approximately 22,500 artifacts spanning from the Neolithic period to the Ottoman era. The exhibits feature a wide range of items including marble sculptures, architectural elements, weapons, jewelry and coins.
A fine Roman museum in Eskişehir with a good number of artifacts on-display. One can buy tickets at the entrance. The museum spans over two floors. The place is well-guided and well-decorated. Expect to spend anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Fahd ب — Google review
The Archaeological Museum has some great pieces, especially on the third floor, which is truly amazing. It has more artifacts and a better display compared to the first and second floors, which are okay but less impressive. However, one major drawback is the lack of detailed explanations. Many artifacts are labeled only with basic information like ‘BC’ or ‘Roman period,’ without any descriptions or context about what the item is or its historical significance. This makes it hard to fully appreciate the collection. The museum could greatly benefit from adding more detailed labels and explanations. Entry is 60 TL accessible with a museum card..
Hola C — Google review
The Eti Archaeology Museum in Eskişehir, while offering a glimpse into the region's past, primarily focuses on funerary artifacts, leading to a somewhat limited experience. I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Upon entering, visitors are greeted with a collection dominated by tombs, sarcophagi, and various types of gravestones. While these pieces are undoubtedly historically significant and well-preserved, for those hoping for a broader spectrum of archaeological finds – perhaps everyday tools, pottery illustrating daily life, or more diverse architectural elements – the exhibition can feel a bit repetitive. The sheer volume of funerary items might overwhelm some, leaving an impression that there isn't much beyond the grave. That being said, the museum is clean, well-lit, and the information panels are generally clear and informative, providing context for the displayed items. It offers a valuable insight into burial practices and beliefs of ancient civilizations in the area. However, the lack of more varied exhibits means that unless one has a specific interest in ancient burial customs, the visit might feel a little one-note. It's a decent stop for a quick understanding of a particular aspect of Eskişehir's ancient history, but don't expect a comprehensive overview of daily life or broader societal structures.
Gapi — Google review
Nicely curated, very informative, has interactive pieces which captures the kids imaginations. We had already toured some sites physically which added to our enjoyment.
Kont Z — Google review
This museum has a lot of potential and really needs someone to pick up their socks and make it into something amazing. When you walk in through the garden, there are old ruins. Something interactive or engaging that would help people visitors experience those ruins in a more meaningful way is currently lacking. But it is beautiful and nice to walk through the modern and ancient together in an open space. . The ground floor has little Information alongside the exhibits and little in English. The upstairs exhibits are well documented and exhibited and there are reading materials next to the exhibits. Eskişehir is actually an archaeologically rich place with many dig sites nearby. It is just waiting for someone to wake up and put it on the tourist map in an interesting way.
Aayati S — Google review
For an art lover, this is quite a place to savor lots of old antiques. For students in Turkey, you can enter with the museum card.

Eskisehir Metropolitan Municipality Yilmaz Buyukersen Wax Sculpture Museum, located in Sazova Science, Art, and Culture Park, showcases lifelike wax sculptures of Turkish leaders and historical figures. The museum is part of the transformation led by Professor Yilmaz Buyukersen, the current Mayor of Eskisehir.
A lovely wax museum that shows prominent figures across modern Türkiye; e.g. politicians, media reporters, celebrities… etc. One can buy tickets at the counter. Once in, you can explore the various monuments and read about them. They offer audio headsets, too. The monuments are very well made, and look quite real. The place can get quite busy, and needs anywhere between 30-60 minutes to explore.
Fahd ب — Google review
This place runs by municipality however they charge extra for taking a photography (by professional photographer) with the sculptures in some of the area. This extra charge uses for education and scholarship of the girl students. It doesn’t bother you, it uses for good will. The sculptures are looking good and also, some of them exactly the same as its model (looking very real) If you visiting Eskişehir, you should see this place.

Title: Nice local wax figure museum of mostly Turkish and some international personalities. The founder and talented artist of this museum was also the mayor of Eskişehir + Over 100 figures... so you can see a lot + Some figures looked very real and was detailed worked + Entree fee was ok + A lot of Turkish legends from Atatürk until the Sultans of Ottoman empire + There is an area that tells the story of the liberation war in Eskişehir (in world war I) with a lot of relics to see o Some figures was behind of glas - In 2 areas it was forbidden to make photos. In one area they put their own photographer for extra cash - On some figures the quality or similarity was not given. It looks like different kinds of artists worked on the figures, some talented, some not. - A lot of figures was reporters of some known Turkish newspapers and TV programs. This part was a little boring for me ************************** Explanation of my votings + Pro - Contra o Only for your information 5 Stars: It was really special, you must try it 4 Stars: It was nice, you should try it 3 Stars: Nothing special, you could try it 2 Stars: Try only if you have no alternative 1 Stars: Bad, don't bother trying
Prusias — Google review
The eskiseher version of wax museum, alot of local heros followed by the statues of past heros and ottomans too. Very little amount of international personalities are there and in that section no photos are allowed. Do visit if your fan of favourite personalities of the country otherwise don’t be misled to find international artists or individuals’s waxes.

Hami K — Google review
It's a must see if you're visiting Eskişehir. Consists of a lot of famous figures of Turkey and all wax statutes are made by the city's mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen. It's a bit crowded at the weekends. Entrance is also inexpensive, an ordinary ticket is 10 liras and students and older people 5 liras.

Based mostly on Turkish leading figures, the wax museum boasts small but handy collection. The Museum has longer queues owing to safety parameters regarding Covid19.

The best museum in Eskişehir. Some items are really great and creative. The building has a nice and modern design surrounded in a traditional area. It has a nice cafe to enjoy too.

Let me start by saying the building looks amazing, the architects deserve a round of applause; inside and out it’s amazing work. Ot only is the building amazing, but so is the art work inside. The museum itself costs 100 Lira to enter ($3). The art work inside the museum is incredible and really creative. I wouldn’t say I go out of my way to go to art museums but this one is definitely worth it if you’re in the city, value for money too.

A restaurant with enjoyable atmosphere, good location, and great food. A resturant with amazingly great potential that they just fail to use. As mentioned, the food is delicious, professionally made and absolutely heavenly. The staff is friendly and and hospitable. Unfortunately, they lack the necessary communication skills and go against the basic rules of restaurant service and hospitality business in general. During my first visit, I had an entrée and a main course and these were all fabulous. I did have to wait for the wine that I ordered with the main course but it was brought eventually. When I was ready for a dessert and my final drink, they turned off the lights and just gave me the bill, hinting that it was time to leave. It was more than half an hour before the official closing time. Although I was surprised about the previous experience, I did go back to enjoy the food again and to give the place another chance. That time, I never got the wine I ordered with my main course. I even told the waiter that I also wanted a dessert at the end. I went in earlier not to stay until last minute. And the same thing happened. Once I got to the dessert time, it was an hour before closing and the staff was nowhere to be found. So I sat for 20 minutes, then someone passed by. I asked if the kitchen was still open for dessert for, the waiter simply cleaned my table and disappeared again. I paid on my way out. Such a shame, once again, how you can ruin an experience with the lack of basic service standards. One day, maybe, who knows, I might even get to try one the desserts.

I don’t even mention the chef who sliced my steak from middle and make it thin. This kind of serving is far from Mediterranean elegance, it is Arab style. Chef hear me out, your direction is wrong. Also waitresses keeping table dirty for far too long.

The only good thing about it is the garden area , nothing worth a single lira, worst service ever delay in the appetizers , the main meal came before the appetizer!! There's pomegranate molasses in every single dish which hide the taste of the dish The restaurant supposed to be Italian but the only Italian thing is the name actually We ordered 4 soups 4 appetizers 4 main dishes and nothing is eatable especially the steak it was like rubber Careless staff with disgusting food , don't waste your time and money in it

Kurşunlu Cami ve Külliyesi, also known as the Kursunlu Religious Complex, is a fascinating site located in the Odunpazari neighborhood of Eskisehir. Constructed between 1517 and 1525 by Coban Mustafa Pasa, a prominent vizier of the Ottoman Empire, this complex comprises a mosque along with various other structures such as a kitchen and caravanserai.
An interesting complex of early Ottoman buildings, well preserved and maintained now as a mix of shops and venue to see. What is now called the library building next to the impressive main mosque is on a slightly different alignment and hint at being an earlier Byzantine church building. This is supported by the individual re-used possibly Roman column and cap stones supporting the entrance dome. The whole complex is possibly the best tourist site to visit in Eskişehir.

Vega Outlet is a delightful shopping destination located in Eskisehir, offering an impressive mix of local and international brands. This mall is perfect for those seeking quality products at budget-friendly prices, featuring everything from clothing and footwear to electronics and household items. With well-known names like Nike and Adidas among its offerings, shoppers can enjoy a variety of choices without breaking the bank. The atmosphere at Vega Outlet is relaxed, making it an ideal spot for quick shopping trips or leisurely lunches.
Formerly known as Neoplus. A change of ownership and management resulted in a new name, VEGA Outlet. It is the same old place and full of very affordable end-of-season goods, gym center and wonderful playgrounds for children. I would readily recommend this place to all and sundry.

Not an outlet mall anymore. Don't bother coming so far away from city center. No bargains to be found here.
Julien R — Google review
Loud Music Shopping Center. My recent visit to Vega Outlet was overall pleasant, but there were a few drawbacks that affected my experience. One of the main issues was the loud music coming from the games section, which made it difficult to focus on shopping or even holding a conversation with my companions. While I appreciate that the center offers a range of entertainment options, it would be better if the sound levels were more balanced and not as overwhelming. Aside from this issue, I found the center to be clean and well-maintained, with a good selection of stores and restaurants to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of amenities available such as restrooms and seating areas. Overall, I would recommend it as a place to shop and hang out, but I would caution visitors to be prepared for the noise levels in the games section.

When the sun sets over the Odunpazari, the place becomes more sexy. As you see in the photo above, Odunpazari is full of colorful houses. It has Museum, cafes, restaurants and markets in its premises. To go to Odunpazari, take bus from any station and get down at Odunpazari station. You can also travel by tram. By tram, get down at Ataturk Lisesi then walk towards right side for 100 meters. Then you will see Odunpazari colorful old houses. In Odunpazar you can buy popular Meerschaum Pipe with cheap price. The museum offers ample opportunities for photography and also houses a small retail store and cafe.
One of the wonderful page in the history of Turkish industrial and engineering revolutions. The architect of such a wonderful work is TULOMSAS. The manufacture of the first made-in-Turkey car, industrial revolution of the railway systems in Turkey, etc are some examples of their works. these works have since been on display in the city of Eskisehir, Turkey and is an important source of attraction for local and foreign tourists alike. Tulomsas has since maintained its respectful place in the historial pages of Turkey.

While our ancestors sacrificed their lives for this country, it is unacceptable that it was not produced despite a production story where so much effort was made and the impossible was achieved. The sadder part is that decades have passed since this incident, but we still haven't made any progress, we still don't have our own car brand. Oof, there are so many things to write, but it's just a pity, nothing else. (Translated by Google) A museum that will make you sad enough to go back to the 50's and 60's. In fact, it may seem a little simple for a museum, but just seeing the revolutionary car up close will be enough to make you think for a long time. I recommend you to definitely stop by when you come to Eskişehir. (Original) 50'li 60'lı yıllara gidip yeterince üzüleceğiniz müze. Aslında müze için biraz basit kalabilir belki ama sadece devrim arabasını yakından görmek bile sizi uzun uzun düşündürmeye yetecektir. Eskişehire geldiğiniz zaman muhakkak uğrayın derim.

(Translated by Google) An open-air museum where the REVOLUTION automobile, an important turning point in our history, is exhibited free of charge. However, many works are exhibited. However, I think it would be more useful if we could attract the attention of everyone passing by through billboards etc. and remind us of our past. When I asked, what is the REVOLUTION car, let alone its location? There were even people who said it could be in car dealerships nearby. (Original) Tarihimizde önemli dönüm noktası olan DEVRİM otomobilinin ücretsiz sergilendiği açık hava müzesi. Bununla birlikte birçok eserde sergileniyor.Ancak dışarıda bilboard vb yayınlar vasıtasıyla gelen geçen herkesin dikkatini çekip geçmişimizi hatırlatsak daha faydalı olur düşüncesindeyim. Yerini sorduğumda bırakın yerini DEVRİM otomobili ne? çevredeki oto galerilerde olabilir diyen bile çıktı

(Translated by Google) It's a nice place to take a quick stroll and say hello to our recent history. Information boards are sufficient. There are also writings on the walls that need to be read. Behiç Erkin's life should definitely be examined. There are also good opportunities for taking photos. It is even more beautiful with a small retail store and cafe.

Thanks to the lady on duty, she told the stories very well. (Original) Hem çok kurur duyub, hem de çok üzüldüğüm bir yer. The Zoology Museum, located in Anatolia, serves as a showcase of the region's rich biodiversity. Visitors can explore an array of exhibits featuring skeletons of various creatures including insects, crustaceans, fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals. The museum offers an educational experience for students and curious minds alike. While the building has been relocated to the Faculty of Agriculture, it is currently awaiting reopening.
(Translated by Google) It is a very beautiful museum and first of all, let me say that it has been moved under ESOGÜ Faculty of Foreign Languages. It's free, but you need to make an appointment. If you call the university and say you want to come to the museum, you will be given the numbers of people interested in the museum, and when you contact them, the date and time of the visit will be determined. Our student friends, who are very interested and competent in their field, show you around the museum. I would like to thank Ms. Hatice very much, she has a bright future in the academy. The museum's collections are very rich and definitely worth seeing. I will add a few photos. I hope the necessary support will be given and specimens such as brown bear, wolf and ostrich will be added to the museum.

It may attract the attention of those who are curious about this subject and new ideas may arise in their minds. I say to those who react by saying that God is the only creator regarding creativity, yes, people create imagination and it is possible to bring this to life under some conditions, but it is not impossible. 🤭 (Original) Yıllardır yanından geçerim ilk defa açık gördüm.
