The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is a historic fort that offers self-guided tours, allowing visitors to explore from the drawbridge to the gun deck while enjoying views of Matanzas Bay. Situated in St. Augustine, it was built from 1672-1695 and served as a Spanish Empire post. Made from coquina, a locally sourced stone-like compound, the fort was never taken in battle.
This historic fort and museum is a must-visit! The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing the area's rich history. We enjoyed exploring the exterior, where we spotted sea turtles, dolphins, and even a manatee at 6 p.m. The views of the sea are stunning, and the architecture is impressive. While we didn't take the tour, the self-guided walk around the grounds was enjoyable and informative. Parking is convenient, although it's best to arrive early to secure a spot and take great photos. Don't forget sunscreen, as the sun can be strong. The fort offers a fascinating glimpse into Spanish history and its significance in the United States. Overall, it's a humbling experience that's perfect for history buffs and families alike.

Very cool fort with great views. It was an extremely hot day so I highly recommend bringing a bottle of water with you and maybe even a small towel. 🥵There were 2 main levels and you could self guide yourself through it although they had a guided tour option. There was zero shade when you’re up on the top but you were able to see where they had the old firing cannons which was super cool. As you walk through each room they had plenty of artifacts and information which was helpful to understand. I felt that it was very well maintained and full of rich history! They do offer bathrooms inside as well.

In the heart of St. Augustine, Florida, a city steeped in history, the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument rises as a beacon of the past. Completed in 1695 after 23 years of painstaking labor that began in 1672, this breathtaking structure stands as a testament to Spanish ingenuity and determination. Originally conceived as a fortress to safeguard their treasures and secrets, its immaculate architecture commands attention, overlooking one of St. Augustine's most picturesque vistas. Though tours offer an immersive experience within its walls, even a glimpse from the exterior reveals the monument's unparalleled grandeur. Constructed from unique Coquina stone, the walls exhibit a mesmerizing mosaic of tiny shells, a strategic choice that proved impervious to English sieges. Today, the Castillo stands resolute, each piece of Coquina holding echoes of the past, while the land upon which it rests cradles everlasting memories along the bay. As visitors approach, they are transported back in time, captivated by the stories etched into every stone. The Castillo de San Marcos not only stands as a physical structure but also as a living narrative, preserving the legacy of those who built and defended it. Its enduring presence ensures that the tales of courage, strategy, and cultural heritage will continue to captivate and inspire generations to come.

This was an amazing experience, I enjoyed visiting the Castillo de San Marcos. The history here is incredible — it really feels like stepping back in time. The fort itself is beautiful, and the views of the water are awesome. The cannons were definitely my favorite part. It’s just one of those places that makes you appreciate how much history St. Augustine has to offer. Highly recommend it, go during the day and at night.
Sergio C — Google review
Very cool historic castle to tour! The top offers a great view of the water and surrounding area, plus old cannons you can check out. On the ground level there are multiple rooms to explore, each with interesting displays and information about the history of the fort. You can also see step-by-step demonstrations of how soldiers would load and fire the cannons as well as their muskets, which is really fascinating. The staff dressed in Spanish army costumes brought the place to life and made the whole experience feel even more authentic. Definitely worth visiting if you’re interested in history or just want to see something unique.
Carson S — Google review
The people who work there are kind and thoughtful. The restrooms are clean, and stalls are plentiful. It's a good place to relax, learn about the area and city, take a few pictures, and even shop for bargains. Because of the government shutdown, not everything is availablem

The Castillo de San Marcos is always well worth the visit. The structure alone clearly articulates its history and its various functions from the 17th through the 20th centuries The grounds are well-maintained by the NPS and are excellent for walking. This fort is one of the many treasures that makes Saint Augustine the beautiful city that it is. To see the ancient walls lit up at night is breathtaking.
Edward B — Google review
Very cool to see and great read about the history of the fortress that was built by the Spanish over 450 years ago. It was built to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route. My family and I were on a family vacation and visited the historic fortress on a Tuesday morning, so it wasn’t crowed. Parking spots were available because we got there before it opened (9:00am eastern time). There’s a parking meter in the parking lot. There were 22 of us going to see the fort and only paid $50 for everyone! My mother/father in law got in for free because they’re seniors. I think each senior can have up to four grandchildren that can center for free; there were a total of 12 grandchildren. My mother in law also has an annual park pass so that gave her additional discounts! If you have it, ask them about any discount. If you’re in the area, stop by and see the history and the view. It would have been more enjoyable for me if the weather was a little cooler 😅. They have cannons and many rooms you can enter. Each door you enter, there’s a history you can read about it. There’s also a theater room you can enter and watch a documentary about how the fortress came about. Of course, before you leave the fortress- stop by the gift shop!

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum offers a unique historical adventure with its 1874 black-and-white striped lighthouse, museum, and shipyard playground. Visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark and discover centuries-old artifacts while immersing themselves in the stories of local fishermen and shipwrecked sailors. The museum also showcases over 300 years of St.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse is a pretty cool place to check out if you’re in the area. Admission is a little over $17 per adult, which is on the higher side, but it does give you access to the lighthouse, the museum, and the grounds. The lighthouse climb itself is 219 steps, but it’s really not too bad and the view at the top is beautiful, you get a great look at the coastal front and surrounding area. On a hot day, the museum is a big relief with air conditioning and has some interesting history and artifacts to browse through. The gift shop is also nice, with a big selection of souvenirs ranging from smaller keepsakes to more detailed items. Overall, it’s a neat experience if you want to see one of St. Augustine’s landmarks up close.
Carson S — Google review
Cool place to check out if you’re in the area. The lighthouse was the main attraction of course and it has signs to let you know how far up and how much further you have left as you climbed it. Once you get to the top the views and breeze are nice. The stairs are very narrow so you have to stop and wait or let people go by sometimes. But it’s not a bad hike at all! The rest of the sites are self guided and in old buildings but are maintained. Most have AC which is where you found the most people with it being so hot. There’s plenty of information and artifacts in each part you entered. Unless you’re stopping to read everything, the tour goes by pretty quickly. I highly suggest bringing water with you if you’re going during the summer months.
Nina C — Google review
The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum is an absolute must-visit. The property is full of rich history, and the view from the top of the lighthouse is truly breathtaking. While the climb does involve a lot of steps, it is well worth the effort. Beyond the lighthouse itself, there’s so much to explore—from learning how boats were built to seeing how recovered artifacts are carefully cleaned and preserved. This site offers a wonderful mix of history, hands-on learning, and stunning scenery. Definitely worth a stop when visiting St. Augustine.

My wife and I went to the special event at the top of the beautiful historic lighthouse. The event is held once a month to watch the sunset and the full Moon rise. We were rewarded with a beautiful sunset and the full moon rise over the ocean was awesome. Our experience was seriously diminished by the male volunteer that was supposed to be pouring champagne for all the guests but seemed totally focused in looking after two younger women whose glass were always full while we had to ask several times for a second half glass. The volunteer attitude changed a five star experience to barely a three stars. In future please have the volunteer treat all guests equally. At the opposite end we wish to commend Tammy as very pleasant and helpful with information about the lighthouse and in passing food around.
Patrick L — Google review
This is a beautiful place set back in some trees, not far from water. There's plenty of history to learn and over 200 steps to reach the top, which has some beautiful views of the area. This is a worthwhile place to explore. The staff are very friendly and eager to answer questions or help.
Brian S — Google review
Wonderful place that is worth visiting if you are in Anastasia and Saint Augustine area. My kids and I had such a fun time climbing the stairs to reach the top of the Lighthouse, I was surprised how windy it can be! Just a great place to enjoy good time with the family and Learn a thing or two about how lighthouse used to work 150 years ago and how it works now. Highly recommended!
Eduardo T — Google review
Lovely place to visit! Be prepared for the climb but once you get to the top, it is so worth it for the view. There was so many different buildings with a bunch of cool items and rich history. Would highly recommend making this one of your places to visit! The staff was also very welcoming and kind too!

What an absolutely gorgeous afternoon in St Augustine. The volunteer on the stairs of the gift shop, was an amazing man, full of knowledge, very helpful, and chatty when I needed to talk. The neighborhood the lighthouse is in is fantastic. Just a cool Coastal vibe

Nestled in the heart of St. Augustine, the Lightner Museum is a treasure trove of Victorian-era artifacts and 19th-century decorative arts, all housed within the stunning former Alcazar Hotel, built by Henry Flagler in 1888. This architectural gem showcases an eclectic collection that ranges from exquisite Tiffany glass and fine furniture to peculiar curiosities like shrunken heads and human hair art.
Really enjoyed visiting the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine. Admission was $20 and ends at 4pm and they close at 5pm, I see a lot of people mix up the times. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, and the exhibits have a nice mix of art, antiques, and interesting old items. The old swimming pool area turned into a display space. It’s a relaxing place to wander through at your own pace. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re exploring the area. Bathrooms available through out the building.
Carson S — Google review
The Lightner Museum is definitely worth a visit, with a beautiful historic building and an impressive collection of art and antiques. The architecture alone makes it a special stop, and there’s a lot to see throughout the different floors. That said, it leans more toward being an art gallery than a traditional museum, which might not be what everyone expects. Still, it’s a great place to spend a couple of hours, and I’d give it 4 stars for the atmosphere, history, and variety on display.
Mike M — Google review
I am a wedding photographer and I hosted my wedding in the courtyard at the Lightner Museum, my team photographed our wedding and it was everything I hoped for! Despite the work they were doing on the courtyard, everything turned out amazing!!! Staff was amazing, the venue is gorgeous and so much history. I loved every moment. As a wedding photographer, we have photographed weddings at the Lightner Museum and just like my very own wedding day, it is beautiful and everything every bride dreams of. If you are looking for a ceremony venue, this is it!

If you like historic, unique and beautiful museums then you will enjoy this. You have the option of being self guided or with a guide so I opted for self. While I’m not a history buff I did enjoy walking around to the different levels to see how they sectioned off each rooms and area. A couple of my favorite rooms were the stained glass, timeline of the evolution of bicycles, and the crystal and glass room. Each room had its own story and when you get to the end there’s a beautiful courtyard looking down of where you can enjoy lunch at their cafe! It took me about 30 minutes to complete at a quicker pace but it could take up to 45 mins or longer. There were a handful of beautiful pockets to take pictures at outside as well and a cute little gift shop on your way out.
Nina C — Google review
Step into another world perhaps a better world. Beauty and thoughtfulness surround you. What a brilliant contrast to the throw away culture we now inhabit. Imagine a world where people are proud to put their names on things without hiding behind pseudonyms and handles. Imagine making things that can be resold and work long after their creators have collected their eternal reward.
James B — Google review
Lightner museum is a beautiful museum inside and out with beautiful architecture and beautiful artwork, musical instruments, furniture pieces, and many other different collections from the Guilded age! Definitely a must see!
Shabanna A — Google review
We really enjoyed the beautifully curated selection. The mummy and lion were impressive and unexpected. Nice use of negative space. Felt full without being cluttered. The docents were knowledgeable and effective at directing and educating us. The scavenger hunts were fun and the prize at the end was very nice. Will come again every time in St Augustine.
G S — Google review
The Lightner Museum in St. Augustine is stunning. I loved the mix of art, history, and architecture — every room felt like stepping back into the Gilded Age. The building is a masterpiece with its Spanish Renaissance design, beautiful courtyard, and incredible details throughout. From antique instruments and glasswork to fine art and historic artifacts, everything was thoughtfully displayed.

The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park in Florida is a fascinating destination for history enthusiasts and families alike. This expansive park features a 16th-century Spanish settlement, complete with historic village sites and cannons. Visitors can embark on an educational journey through St. Augustine's Spanish Colonial times and Native American culture, making it an ideal spot for kids to learn about human history while having fun.
What a fantastic place to visit! It was definitely a highlight of my vacation! The people working there are amazing! Friendly..professional..extremely knowledgeable. The young woman telling about the fountain was amazing. I could have listened to her all day. The blacksmith demonstration was great. I learned quite a bit there and then the cannon demonstration along with the rifle demonstration was very interesting. I recommend this to everyone. I will definitely be coming back to tour again.

This is the second time I've visit and it still amazes me. 😁 I'm hoping 🤞that drinking the water will keep me young! There are several things to explore. If you have a good stomach, it could be an experience drinking 🍸 the water. It has a mild sulfur taste to it. I would recommend this place. Happy exploring! If this was helpful to you, please send me a 🙏👍 or ❤️... Have fun!!!

The Fountain of Youth is without a doubt one of the top attractions you have to see when visiting St. Augustine. There’s so much to do here—it can easily take 2–3 hours to see everything, and if you stop to watch all the shows, you could easily spend the entire day. I especially enjoyed the firearm and cannon demonstrations, which were both fascinating and impressive when they were fired. The staff really make the experience even better—everyone I met was friendly and very knowledgeable. A special shout-out to the gentleman by the boat, who patiently answered all my questions and shared so much interesting information. This is definitely a must-visit spot!
Mike M — Google review
This the oldest continuous American settlement in the country and a super cool place to visit if your in striking distance of the St Augustine area. I mean come one, how could you not want to have a drink from the fountain of youth?! All jokes aside, for $22 this is a very neat experience.
A R — Google review
This place was super cool, mainly for me because of the peacocks! They were everywhere and so beautiful. They were also planning a wedding there which I can imagine would be beautiful. Oh and a pigeon landed on my hand when I was feeding the birds which was the coolest thing ever.
Caroline M — Google review
This had meticulously maintained grounds. Loved the peacocks, the history, drinking from the fountain. The whole group stayed very engaged from 10 years old up until mid 80's. We cannot wait to come back and continue exploring.
Elena I — Google review
I would give it 5 stars because it was a great experience, so many fun history lessons/ sights however... the "fountain of youth" was NOT ground water. It was replaced with city water. That was the only disappointment. Feeding the birds and squirrels was so much fun!
Dusti E — Google review
We took a trolley tour to get here and got to enjoy the beautiful trees with Spanish Moss hanging from the branches as we entered the Historic Fountain of Youth park. You can buy your tickets at the entrance and either take the guided tour or do a self-tour with the map they give you. We did the self tour and were there for about 3 hours in order to see everything. I watched as my daughter climbed up to the top of the water tower to see the beautiful views and photo ops. We also checked out the Fountain of Youth and drank from it. However, we have not become younger looking. Oh well. We also watched the cannon shooting demonstrations. The tour was worth going on. Tickets were $23 per adult. The gift shop was great with all kinds of cool items about Ponce de Leon and the Fountain of Youth. I loved the Southern BBQ restaurant on premises. Delicious BBQ sandwiches and more. You gotta try it! There is a large parking lot for free parking.

The Colonial Quarter in St. Augustine, Florida is a two-acre living history attraction that offers visitors an immersive experience of the city's 300-year-old port history. The re-creation of a colonial Spanish village features costumed craftsmen demonstrating old-world skills, musket drills, and a 35-foot watchtower for lookout. Visitors can take a Historic Adventure Tour with a costumed guide to explore the different historical periods of St.
Climb the watch tower for a great view of town then hope Cooper leads your tour. Cooper can perform pirate shanties on concertina (vintage accordion), blacksmith among flames and hot coals, even set off a cannon, while making all ages chuckle at his jokes. The price was worth the history lesson from Spanish to Colonial times. Walking by, I always thought the complex was larger, but the signage was informative. The ship was a nice surprise. There was one interactive video exhibit, and some pulleys with blocks for children to try their strength.
M. D — Google review
I am sure I can not be the only one that enjoyed Coopers presentation of this experience! He was hilarious and extreamly engaging! We were not sure what we would do while in the area and I’m so glad we choose this. You def want to do this with a tour which are done a certain times but well worth the planning. My 9yr old loved it and was answering and asking all the questions he could think of.
Neidy M — Google review
Cooper was amazing! Not a super long tour, but the presentation was worth it. Got combo tickets with pirate museum and felt it was totally worth it. Plus lots of shade!

Nestled within the ancient cobblestone streets of America's oldest city lies a treasure I stumbled upon with my family last summer—the Colonial Quarter of St. Augustine. What a revelation it was! June 30th, 2023 marked our first visit, though certainly not our last. The Quarter doesn't merely display history; it breathes life into it. Blacksmiths hammer red-hot metal into submission while musket fire cracks through the air unexpectedly—startling my daughter into fits of delighted squeals! Time bends here. One moment you're wandering through a 16th-century Spanish garrison, the next you're examining British military tactics that once dominated these very grounds. We devoured authentic colonial-inspired cuisine that burst with flavors forgotten by modern palates. Heavenly! The maritime exhibits particularly captivated my husband, who lost himself for nearly an hour examining shipbuilding techniques. St. Augustine has captured my heart so completely that I dream of making it my forever home. The Colonial Quarter stands as testament to why—it's where education becomes adventure, where history isn't just remembered but experienced viscerally through all five senses. You'll leave changed, carrying pieces of centuries past within you, already planning your return before you've even departed. Trust me, this living museum deserves every accolade it receives—and then some!
Bethany S — Google review
Colonial Quarter is one of the best live music venues in downtown St. Augustine. The atmosphere is unbeatable—right in the heart of the historic district with a unique open-air setting that makes every show feel special. The sound quality was excellent, and the stage setup allowed for great views no matter where you were standing. The venue has a fun, lively vibe but still feels relaxed, making it a perfect place to enjoy music with friends. Being surrounded by history while watching talented performers created a one-of-a-kind experience. If you’re looking for a great night out in St. Augustine, Colonial Quarter should be at the top of your list.
Dave W — Google review
Always love being a tourist in our own city! We came back in January and had an amazing time! From roaming the property to the informative tour from the actor. The live canon demonstration was awesome! The view of the fort from the tower is amazing as well. Highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the history!
Andy — Google review
Our tour guide was super friendly and wonderful, however we were very disappointed to see that most of the experience appeared to be under renovation. There were people working everywhere, packing the ground down and doing construction. The ship you are supposed to see wasnt there, there were vehicles parked and benches randomly in the courtyard where it was supposed to be. Benches were stacked everywhere, and not even properly spaced and set up for the tour stops. People were working everywhere, not in colonial clothing. The house wasnt set up or historically accurate (hand sanitizer machine in one of the rooms, furniture scattered..). The actual tour also seemed to be lacking the demonstrations i thought we would see- we got shown a few pieces of leather, played some music, got a very very basic blacksmith demonstration (where some of the equipment was broken, so not functioning properly). Overall, not worth the price.

The Old Jail Museum, constructed in 1890 and now serving as a museum, provides visitors with a unique experience through exhibits and guided tours of its historic cells. The passionate tour guides dressed in period attire offer an immersive journey through the hanging square, punishment hall, and the most dismal jail cell reserved for the worst offenders. This landmark backed by Henry Flagler holds significance as it represents a crucial era in St. Augustine's captivating history.
I've been here twice before so this would be my third time. Our tour guide was so much fun as she explained all the details with expression. You have to make it a point to also go inside and tour the extra stuff. The gift shop had so much to choose from as far as souvenirs to buy. The staff all over the place was nice. There is a restroom that talks to you while you're using it. That was interesting. Make sure you bring quarters with you so that you can play the machines inside the museum. There is plenty of parking.

So so fun! Informational and interesting! Check this place out you will not regret it! It was history but time in a fun and exciting new way where the tour guides are dressed up and act as though they are inmates. Great memories!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Old Jail in St. Augustine, FL! The experience was not only fun but also deeply emotional and memorable. Lizzie is truly on another level—she’s a master at bringing history to life through storytelling and making you feel like you’re part of the story yourself. Thank you so much for everything. We loved every moment and truly love this place.

The Old Jail Museum is a fantastic and engaging tour that brings history to life in a truly memorable way. The experience was both educational and entertaining, giving a vivid look into what life was like back in 1908. A special thank you goes to Viola, who made the tour exceptional—she stayed in character the entire time and played her role so convincingly that it felt as though she was truly a prisoner of that era. Her performance added an authentic and fun element that elevated the entire visit. Thank you, Viola, for making our experience unforgettable!

Excellent tour. Our "inmate", Louie was great, very informative and stayed in character the whole tour. Really interesting to learn the history and what conditions would have been like. A bit spooky and might disturb some people but we really enjoyed it

We Absolutely LOVE St Augustine! The old jail is fun and educational. The staff are great and preform a role as if they are the inmates and staff. They make the whole experience unique and more fun. They walk you through and tell you the history. You can look, touch and smell, Lots of sensory going on. Its air-conditioned and there is also a gift shop too. Parking on site and bathrooms too. We recommend the trolley tours or just the hop on and off day passes.

So glad we opted to take this tour! Our guide was Ed, and he was a character! He was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic- kept us engaged the entire time. Loved the 'inmates' that sit out front and engage with passers by. Enjoyed learning the history of this place.

Lizzie was absolutely amazing!! We've been visiting Old Town trolley tours in St. Augustine since the beginning (2003), and Lizzie is one of the very best!! Not only was she a wonderful tour guide, but in the days we were down here she went out of her way to interact with all of the guests at the jail!! You can tell she really loves what she's doing here! I really hope Old Town Trolley recognizes their great employees and does their very best for them to keep them! By the way, Happy 22nd Anniversary!

The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum offers an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages, transporting them back over 300 years to the Golden Age of Piracy in Port Royal, Jamaica. The museum boasts a diverse collection of artifacts, interactive exhibits, and movie props that bring the history of pirates to life. It's a perfect destination for families, school trips, scout outings, birthday parties, and corporate events.
Lots of history and one-of-a-kind artifacts here. They have bios on the most famous pirates. There are examples of pirate weaponry and tactics. The displays depict how life was on a pirate ship, and the responsibilities of the Captain and the crew. There are lots of interactive and hands on displays. There is a section with displays of actual pirate treasure, and a section that showcases pirates as shown through the eyes of Hollywood. There is also a museum shop. Family friendly.

The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is an absolute must-see! What a fascinating and fun museum to explore. The clever details in each area, the authentic artifacts, and the masterful use of lighting and shadows create a truly immersive experience. The interactive exhibits and the thrilling treasure hunt tie everything together, making it a blast for both kids and adults. This museum is a unique and entertaining experience that I highly recommend if you're in St. Augustine.

Five Stars! An Adventure for All Ages! This museum was an absolute hit with my family. I took my 7-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter, and they were both completely captivated from the moment we walked in. The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum truly transports you back over 300 years to the Golden Age of Piracy in Port Royal, Jamaica. The experience manages to be both exciting and educational. For my 7-year-old, it was an inspiring deep dive into history, bringing the tales of pirates to life with real artifacts. My 4-year-old daughter was just as engaged, especially with the fantastic interactive exhibits that made sure she was part of the fun. The museum proves it's the perfect place for groups of all ages, keeping everyone entertained and learning simultaneously. We loved every minute of the experience. If you are looking for a unique family outing that will leave your kids feeling inspired to sail the seven seas, this museum is a must-see. We highly recommend it!

Of all the pure museums in St. Augustine, this one has the most interesting artifacts, including coin clusters, movie props, and even the last remaining pirate chest on earth. It's themed well, informative, and interactive, making it great for kids and adults alike. Last time I went, they had a scavenger hunt as well, and its not one of those hunts that are meant to prolong your experience to give the illusion that they have more than they do. If you are in the area and are looking for something fun to do, this would be a great pick.

This was our family’s first trip to St. Augustine and had to stop at the Pirates & Treasure museum. It was fun and interesting to see artifacts and even got to interact in a pirate hunt during the visit. The gift shop had pretty neat souvenirs to purchase and the kids really enjoyed it! We loved being able to see real silver and gold shipwreck treasure and a real pirates chest! Would recommend stopping in!☺️ Staff was really friendly!

I had a great time at the St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum! This place is a total gem for anyone into pirate history or just looking for a fun outing. The collection of over 800 authentic artifacts, like a real pirate treasure chest and a Jolly Roger flag, is seriously impressive. The interactive exhibits, like firing a cannon or exploring the replica pirate ship, make it feel like you’re stepping into the Golden Age of Piracy. The self-guided setup lets you go at your own pace, which I loved, and the info plaques are packed with cool facts about pirates like Blackbeard and Sir Francis Drake. My only gripe is that it can get a bit crowded, especially on weekends, wish it was a bit larger, and the gift shop prices are a little high. Still, it’s a super fun and educational spot that’s totally worth checking out .
Brian S — Google review
We’ve struck gold with this place, but I don’t want to hide it from anyone! Really fun time! About $20 for adults without the package for colonial times. We spent about an hour in here taking our time and it was worth it! Lots of interactive fun, educational signage, and cool things to see. There was even a little audio show. The scavenger hunt was an extra bit of fun as well that had us searching all over for the hidden artifacts. A great place to go for all ages. Highly recommend if you’re ever marooned in St. Augustine!
Carter K — Google review
My kids (ages 8 and 10) had a great time at the Pirate Museum! We were able to go through the whole museum in just under an hour, which was the perfect amount of time for them. There’s a guided tour and an audio room available, but since both of my kids are Deaf, those parts weren’t accessible to them. Even so, they still really enjoyed the treasure hunt and all the highly visual and interactive displays. The interactive cannons were definitely their favorite! The staff was very kind and made the experience enjoyable. A fun stop for families visiting St. Augustine.

The Spanish Military Hospital Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the medical practices of the late 18th century. Located on Aviles Street, the oldest street in the United States, this museum is a faithful reconstruction of a military hospital from 1791. Visitors can explore displays of antique surgical instruments and medical equipment while learning about authentic period surgical procedures and the creation of medicines by apothecaries.
Went with 4th grade field trip and had a great time learning about the history of the military hospital, apothecary, and surgical suite. Our tour guide did a good job engaging with the kids 👏

A great Museum that includes a tour. Learn how early Spanish medical professionals combined surgical skill with herbal remedies to care for patients in an era long before modern hospitals. It’s an educational and engaging journey through the evolution of medical science.

Day two of family fun summer vacation kicked off bright and early with breakfast and a boat ride. Following some typical Florida weather of scattered showers every few minutes, we ventured into the St. Augustine Hospital Museum. My family and I were welcomed by very personable individuals, and had a stellar tour guide, Katie. Katie is very knowledgeable of the hospital’s history, tools/instruments, and surgical procedures. As well as, Katie is great with children and making sure everyone is having a blast. She also informed us of many different surgical cases, as well as the medicine and operation of pharmacy. All in all, this tour is well worth it and there’s a cute garden and gift shop at the end. Much history, laughs, and all in all a great time. Thank you and much appreciation!

The Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, built in 1798, offers a glimpse into the history and heritage of Florida. This well-preserved coquina house provides an immersive experience, allowing visitors to step back in time and understand the daily life of early Americans. Originally constructed by Don Andres Ximenez for his beloved Juana Pellicer, the house has witnessed centuries of change and served as a sanctuary for those affected by various challenges.
It was a fantastic experience! Each room is beautifully preserved and filled with period-appropriate furniture which along with the interesting stories provided by the audio guide make it very easy to imagine what life was like in those times. It’s clear a lot of care and effort has gone into maintaining this historic place. We visited during Night of Lights so the Christmas decorations were a huge bonus.

Very historic house museum that dates back to the 1700’s. You check in at the gift shop and during the hot summer that’s about the only room that has AC. They sell waters there but I recommend bringing your own water bottle because it gets hot. The house is 2 levels and you can scan a QR code or use one of their devices to do a self guided tour with a narration through each room. It was a very hot day so I went through the site pretty quickly. It was amazing to see very old things that have been preserved and just how they utilized what they had way back then. Each room was staged with many layers and cool pieces. If you follow the audio it can go by slower but you can read through it instead. It was quite fascinating and not very busy on that particular day.

What a wonderful museum. This is also a very elegant location for a small wedding ceremony. I loved the garden and I leaned a lot while talking to the caretakers. I touched the oldest fig tree that I have ever seen and I sat under an orange tree smelling orange blossoms for the first time in my life. It was a wonderful day and I look forward to visiting the museum again the next time that I am in town.

Went on the Mortality and Mourning Tour- it was great. I also managed to catch a cool (weird) phenomenon when I went back to take a picture of the creepy dolls when the tour group had moved on to the next room (last pic)!

This is the best museum I have been to in St. Augustine and maybe in Florida itself. The staff were so attentive and caring, you could tell that talking about the history of the museum was their passion. The historic boarding house was beautiful and clean, the antiques were all accurate and suited everything perfectly. I can't wait to go back in the future as I was told about new tours happening soon. My husband even talked about getting a membership there! Good for the kids too, my preteens were fascinated!

We had a wonderful tour of the property. There is a rich history of the homes here. Beautiful antique pieces bring history alive. We visited on the morning after a paranormal investigation took place so we received a little extra information. It was so fun if you like this kind of thing! Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable about the area.

If you have ever wanted to step back in time Saint Augustine is the place to do it, and the Ximenez-Fatio house is one of the very best places to get a real sense of how the times were back then. We took the audio guide tour and loved walking through all the rooms at our (myself, 70 year old mother and 7 year old daughter) own pace. Note that there is no AC in the house, they do have fans set up and the breezes made it tolerable. I learned so much and really enjoyed the experience. They also had a fun "scavenger" hunt for my daughter which kept her engaged, and a wonderful selection of prizes to choose from at the end.

Villa Zorayda Museum is a historic home-turned-museum in St. Augustine, originally built in 1883 as the winter home of Franklin Webster Smith. The architecture is inspired by the Alhambra Palace in Spain and showcases Moorish Revival-style design, incorporating concrete and coquina shell construction. The museum features an eclectic collection of Victorian-era antiques and art, offering visitors a glimpse into 138 years of villa history.
One of the best things I saw in St Augustine. So beautiful and unusual. The items and furniture are original. Many unique and beautiful artworks. Renee at the entry desk was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I LOVE the aesthetic of this place! The decor & architecture are gorgeous! And the collection is fascinating. From cigar cutters to stained glass light fixtures and a princess staircase... who would have known from the outside? I also love the fact that this location served as a speakeasy during prohibition. Kind of puts things into perspective... you really feel the environment the cast of characters played in back then.

Was very interesting and historical. Not sure how I feel about Egyptian artifacts as part of the Spanish settlement. Seems more like a display of what a rich and wealthy person might put together to demonstrate how exotic they could be at the turn of the last century.

An exceptional peek into the gilded age of the late 19th century. The artifacts collected by the family are unusual and fascinating, reflecting the collector's love of antiquities and Moorish architecture. A helpful, self-guided audio tour is provided with the admission fee.

This is a top-tier attraction, and perhaps my favorite thing I've ever done in St. Augustine. Every inch of this place is stunning, and there is so much omnipotent detail that you basically crawl through the residence at a snails pace to drink it in. You are given a device that gives you a tour as you walk through each room. The collections in this home and the home itself are truly treasure, and instead of describing what's inside, you can look at the pictures. There is a single room with a mind-blowing ancient Egyptian artifact that you are not allowed to photograph. The artifact itself looks cool, but the history behind it is what makes it wild and valuable. I'll save its identity for you to discover.

Perfect — here’s a revised version of your raving review written in a warm, personal, and college-level tone, reflecting your visit with your partner: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My partner and I had an unforgettable experience at the Villa Zorayda Museum. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the intricate architecture and the sense of history that fills every corner. The Moorish-inspired design, with its colorful tiles, carved woodwork, and detailed ornamentation, felt like stepping into a storybook from another world. The self-guided audio tour was engaging and beautifully narrated, offering the perfect balance of history, art, and storytelling. We learned not only about the villa’s fascinating past and its visionary owner but also about how the collection came together over time. Each room revealed something new and unexpected, and we found ourselves marveling at the craftsmanship and the attention to detail throughout. Visiting together made the experience even more special—it’s one of those rare places that sparks both wonder and conversation. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was peaceful, almost enchanting. Villa Zorayda isn’t just a museum; it’s a cultural treasure that makes you appreciate art, history, and architecture in a deeper way. We left completely inspired and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Augustine!

This was a new visit for me. It's a marvelous example of how influential architectural styles and differing cultures can be! This building's composition influenced Flagler in more ways than one. You move throughout the two-story space viewing rooms and listening to the history of certain pieces in a room or the room itself. It's all very stunning. Privately owned and kept in the same founding family, it's a must see stop on your St. Augustine tour.

The Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse is a fascinating piece of history that offers a unique insight into the roots of education in the United States. Stepping inside this historical institution feels like a journey through time, with well-preserved artifacts and quaint classrooms showcasing the evolution of teaching. The school is set up exactly as it was for its last graduating class, providing an authentic experience for visitors. Leashed dogs are welcome at this attraction, making it accessible to all travelers exploring St. Augustine's rich heritage.
Visiting the Old School House was such an amazing experience! It was fascinating to see how children used to learn and what schools looked like in the past. The building itself is so old and full of history—it really feels like stepping back in time. Walking through the garden and exploring how everything was set up gave us a glimpse into life from another era. The care and effort that went into preserving this historical site is truly admirable. Whoever is responsible for maintaining it has done an incredible job. I highly recommend visiting, especially with kids—it’s both educational and fun. Such a beautiful and unique place to explore!

I didn’t expect to see such an old school building in this area. I was truly surprised that it’s still standing, especially since it’s made of wood. Walkin Tours Ghost Tour – Midnight Chills and Thrills Purchased this self-guided ghost tour on Eventbrite for just $7—definitely worth it. The app allows access on two devices, which made it super convenient for our family setup: my wife had it on her phone, and I paired one earbud with my son so we could enjoy it together. The tour itself took about an hour and was a perfect way to stretch our legs while passing through the city at midnight. St. Augustine's eerie charm really comes alive in the quiet hours, and the app’s narration added the perfect spooky touch without going over the top. Whether you're a skeptic or a thrill-seeker, this tour is a fun, budget-friendly way to explore some haunted history at your own pace. Would totally recommend it for night owls wanting a unique experience.

It doesn't take very long at all to visit this place. Not a whole lot to see but I like to see what an old schoolhouse looks like. There's a robot presentation where the teacher and a dunce cap-wearing student explain what education was like back then. There's also an outhouse, which provides for some funny photos. At the end of your visit, you get a diploma.

Fun, quirky, and educational. This is the oldest wooden school house in Florida. I was impressed that it was still original. The automaton teacher and dunce kid were hilarious.

Pretty cool window into the school system of the past. Yeah, I'd be the mannequin with the dunce cap no doubt. We liked it, we visited it on Monday, and the welcome was very nice, when you get to the main building you push a button to have an explanation about how the school and the students were in those days! It has a nice garden and you can learn, walk around and relax, recommended!

The Saint Augustine Distillery is a working distillery located in a restored ice plant dating back to the early 1900s. Visitors can take free guided tours to learn about the art of distilling and the history of Old Florida, with exhibits showcasing artifacts from the past. The distillery produces award-winning spirits such as whiskey, rum, gin, and vodka using age-old techniques in copper pot stills. The tour also includes information about the building's former life as an ice manufacturing plant.
St. Augustine Distillery Review This was my third time visiting the St. Augustine Distillery, and it continues to be an enjoyable and worthwhile stop—and best of all, it’s free! The self-guided tour includes four tasting stations. I didn’t grab photos of all of them and can’t recall every name, but I do remember sampling a Mule, an Old Fashioned mix, and what I believe was a Grapefruit Hibiscus blend. All four were delicious. The tour is short, informative, and fun. The staff is friendly, and the overall vibe is welcoming. While the free tasting doesn’t include their gin, I highly recommend trying it at the bar—it’s remarkably smooth. There’s also a full bar on site where you can purchase cocktails, and a restaurant attached to the building that I haven’t tried yet, but maybe next time. If you're in the area, this place is absolutely worth a visit—whether it's your first time or your third.

Best Distillery Experience in Florida! Yep another non-food review! What a blast! From the first sip to the last, this place knows how to deliver an experience. The rum, gin, and vodka samples were great — but the bourbon? Absolute favorite. And The Saint… wow. Hands-down the star of the show. Dominick was our guide and he crushed it — friendly, funny, and clearly loves what he does. He made the whole tour feel like we were hanging out with a friend who just happens to know everything about spirits. The classroom is gorgeous and super organized, which made learning as fun as the tasting. I’m already planning my next trip — certification, here I come! You're in the St Augustine area, stop by and as always, tell them we sent you!

This distillery is known for its famous bourbon. We stopped by and took a FREE self-guided tour which includes 4 cocktail samples. It took us about 45min-an hour to get thru with reading info provided. The staff were friendly and obviously love their jobs. They were fun to talk to about the history. After you done you could go for more tasting. The parking are on the side of the building sharing with the restaurant.

My son and I toured the distillery while traveling through Saint Augustine and had a fantastic time! The tour was extremely engaging and informative, we learned a lot, all the employees were extremely friendly in each room had a different tasting. It was a lot of fun. We actually wind up buying several pieces of merchandise in the shop before leaving. If you are in the area, it is a free tour and a lot of fun. Definitely add it to your list!

Awesome experience where we complete the self guided tour. I was surprised to find it was really free, including the free sample taste of 4 of their house made cocktails. These included a Florida Mule, Essential Tonic, Old Fashion, and Tropical Tiki Mix. These were all made with their own brand Vodka, Gin, Rum and Bourbon usiung thier very own, in house made, all natural Mixers respectively. At the end of the tour, I was surprised that the final taste station provides a taste of each spirit straight up. Also, you may choose to purchase a taste of their premier Bourbon Whiskey for $10. It's worth mentioning these are all 1/2 ounce serving but enough to help you make up your mind on your favorites.

I'd give this tour SIX stars if I could. Dominick led the Bourbon Tasting tour we scheduled, and was beyond amazing! We had a blast, learned a bunch, sampled some things, and learned all about the process, both in the classroom and on the production floor. HIGHLY recommend this tasting!

St George St is a bustling pedestrian thoroughfare in St. Augustine, featuring a mix of eateries, retailers, and historic sites. Visitors can explore the area's charming streets lined with antiques stores, galleries, and shops offering original paintings, sculptures, and fine furnishings. The street is also home to numerous candy shops where tourists can indulge in treats like fudge and saltwater taffy.
Nice historical street with plenty of shops and restaurants. Everything walkable and located on the street. I definitely recommend checking it out. It is hard to find parking so I recommend doing the old town trolley tour with multiple drop off and pick up spots. St. George Street is an absolute must-stop when visiting St. Augustine. It’s filled with shops, restaurants, and history around every corner, making it a great place to explore. The atmosphere is lively and there’s always something new to discover. That said, I’d recommend going during the week if possible, as weekends can get a little crowded. Overall, it’s one of the highlights of the city and definitely worth a visit.

Potter's Wax Museum, located in St. Augustine, Florida, is a renowned attraction featuring over 160 lifelike wax figures of famous individuals from various eras and fields. Visitors can explore galleries dedicated to Florida History, American History, Ancient History, European History, Science, Arts & Culture, World War II, Government and Celebrities. The museum offers an engaging experience with air-conditioned rooms housing the meticulously crafted wax figures.
A lot of fun for everyone! We visited on a Saturday, quickly bought tickets at the front desk, and went on our way. Celebrated as the nation's oldest wax museum, they make them all in house. From historical figures to fictional, everyone will have a great time. As with everything, parking is paid and either in public lots or elsewhere. There is a slight step up into the museum. Everything is on the first floor for accessibility. Don't forget to look at all the historical medicines in the gift shop area. You'll find lots of pharmacy oddities.
Joseph K — Google review
The first and original wax museum that started it all. Miss Rachel gave me a brief intro before I walked around myself. She shared with me about the hundreds of hours it takes that is spent hand making these wax figures. This one, unlike the ones in other places is focused more on historic figures than mainly celebrities. They had people from all over the time line which I thought was cool. There were a few cool spots you could take photos with the figures as well. A few favorites were MLK, Beethoven and Abraham! Really amazing work they do here!

This was one of the stops on the Ghost and Cemetery Stone tour. This was Awesome to see as well as the old jail. We leaned about some Great History about different parts of St Augustines past! We Loved the tour!😊
Tammy D — Google review
This is the oldest wax museum in America, and its ancient roadside attraction history makes amends for its small footprint. And even with that shortcoming, it still beats some of the other wax museums I've visited. It's small but dense. There are a lot of figures crammed together into various sections, and you really have to take your time to comb through them. I personally feel the quality and accuracy of Potter's figures exceed that of the standard wax figure. You don't often find yourself thinking, "I know who that is, but it doesn't really look like them." I also appreciate the free little museum in their lobby. If you are checking out the attractions in St. Augustine, this is a great stop.

Oldest wax museum in the country so that's pretty cool. Outside of that pretty basic but the sculpture did a great job on the subjects. My favorite part was getting into the AC for a few minutes on a summer day in FL..

We thought the girls working on this day were wonderful. We haven't been in 3-4 years, the lay out of the museum changed and a few wax figures added. For us, we spent about 30 minutes.

Nestled just a few blocks from The Ice Plant, San Sebastian Winery is a delightful local gem that invites visitors to explore the art of winemaking in St. Augustine. This vibrant winery offers complimentary tastings and guided tours, showcasing their impressive selection of wines crafted from grapes sourced in northern and central Florida. Among their offerings are classic varietals like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside unique blends made from Muscadine grapes—an iconic Southern variety known for its rich flavor profile.
Great atmosphere, loved the setting. The employee was knowledgeable and very informative. We tasted 5 different wines, all very good, and we found our favorite. All the sweet wine is made with grapes from Florida. We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine. My husband and I had a great time there and if you have guests from out of town I definitely recommend as well.
Anca D — Google review
One of my faves in all of FL; I love the sister winery in Clermont as well. Made the drive to pick up our fave bourbon - infused wine from San Sebastián. We arrived pretty late and were thankful the folks let us shop for our wine! To make the drive from Jax worth the while we checked out the restaurant upstairs and it did not disappoint at all. Food was excellent. Wonderful and welcoming service, our waiter was friendly and offered great conversation.
Kailah K — Google review
I love this place! I have wanted to visit them for a while because I knew some of the grapes were grown right here in Florida. I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity. The tasting assistants are very knowledgeable & ready to answer any question. For instance, during my tasting experience, I learned the Ruby Port is aged in whiskey barrels the come from the distillery up the road. How cool is that?

San Sebastian Winery Review – St. Augustine, FL This was my second visit to San Sebastian Winery, and it did not disappoint. For just a $5 tasting fee, this is absolutely a must-stop when in St. Augustine. During this visit, I sampled several wines: the Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Rosa, Vintner's White, Vintner's Red, and the Ruby Port. While I typically lean toward dry reds, the Rosa was the standout for me. Made from native Floridian Muscadine grapes, it far exceeded my expectations. These grapes often get a bad rap, but I was pleasantly surprised—this wasn’t just good “for a sweet wine,” it was genuinely enjoyable and ended up being my favorite of the bunch. Fun fact: the incredibly popular Erie, Pennsylvania band Ruby Port took their name from San Sebastian’s very own Ruby Port wine. Although we didn’t get the chance to check out the upstairs restaurant, the outdoor seating area looked very inviting and relaxing. I’ll definitely plan to explore more on my next visit. Highly recommend!

Not my first time at a winery, but my first time to San Sebastian and it was great. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was a nice mix of wine tasting, history lesson, and camaraderie. On-site wine available for purchase or shipping. They had discounts on buying 4 bottles, 6 bottles, and cases. (20% discount on a case is fantastic.) My girlfriend and I drove from Lake City (about 2 hours away) to come here and we were not disappointed. We drank delicious wine, learned about Florida wine and muscadine grapes, we talked with people on the tour with us, and we chatted up the sommelier-level staff and just had a wonderful time. Highly recommend, great for a date night, or a night out with friend.
Michael D — Google review
The tour is a cheap price; however, I didn’t complete it. You first watch a video about 20 minutes that’s like a time share video. Once we were about 10 minutes into the video, a gaggle of people with 2 noisy kids were let it. Next, we went into the barrel tasting room. The children were shrieking and yelling they didn’t want to be there (why would they?) When I said I couldn’t hear the tour guide explaining what we were drinking, the mom started cursing me out. Rather than engage, I left. I was annoyed that kids were let into the tasting rooms without supervision.
Linda F — Google review
Had the best time here! Learned a lot about the place, toured with Mike, he was great, and got to taste all the wines. We also did the extra tasting with Charlene and she was just wonderful and really a highlight of our whole experience! Highly recommend stopping by this place!

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine is a stately and historic 18th-century cathedral with a grand interior, events, and a gift shop. It holds the distinction of being the oldest Christian congregation in the U.S., with its roots dating back to 1565. The current structure features a Spanish-style facade and a spectacular vaulted interior completed in 1797.
What a beautiful building! The day we visited the historic district, we were able to go in and self tour. Everything about this building is exquisite. Floor to ceiling, everything is worth viewing. It makes you wonder just how they were able to create this back in the time when there weren't power tools and everything was brought in off boats, trains, horse and buggy. There is a small gift shop also worth visiting on the back side with religious items. Entrance to the church was free and there were volunteers on site to assist with questions. This was an unexpected surprise to be able to see during our visit to St. Augustine.

We attended a 7AM mass on a Sunday. It was divine. One if the best full of wisdom homilies I have ever heard. I would attend mass almost everyday. It gives me peace of mind and yes, I rest in the Lord. The priest noticed my disability and prayed over me. It was such a blessing. We stayed a little bit to take pictures of this beautiful 18th century Cathedeal Basilica. I would comeback here given the chance again.
Anne C — Google review
Whether you’re religious or not, this cathedral is definitely worth a visit. The outside is cool, but the inside is breathtaking. It’s filled with stained glass, figurines, and decor that are absolutely stunning, and there’s a solemn aura throughout the place. I would highly recommend sitting in a pew and taking a few moments to reflect while admiring the interior.

The oldest Catholic parish in the United States — just look at their website! — the Cathedral Basilica is a spectacular if not huge church that one would expect to see in Europe, not Florida. I felt like I was transported several thousand miles in just a few moments. This is a must visit regardless of your religion if you were visiting Saint Augustine.
David S — Google review
I recently visited the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine for Sunday mass while on vacation, and it was an unforgettable memory! The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the breathtaking beauty of the architecture—ornate stained glass windows casting colorful light across the pews, and intricate details in every corner that tell a story of history and the Catholic faith. The peaceful ambiance invited reflection, yet the vibrant murals and gilded accents sparked awe, which brought to life the cathedral’s role as America’s first parish, founded in 1565. The blend of Spanish colonial heritage and sacred serenity is unmatched. God bless!

Beautiful Basilica, we were visiting and attended the 11:00am mass. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine (Spanish: Catedral basílica de San Agustín) is a historic cathedral in St. Augustine, Florida, and the seat of the Catholic Bishop of St. Augustine. Constructed over five years (1793–1797), it was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark on April 15, 1970. Its congregation, established in 1565, is the oldest Christian congregation in the contiguous United States. It was a blessing to attend the Sunday mass.

The Memorial Presbyterian Church, located at 32 Sevilla Street in St. Augustine, is a must-see for travel and architectural enthusiasts. It has been recognized as one of the most beautiful churches in the United States. The church offers two stunning viewpoints, with the eastern facing side best photographed in the morning and the southern entrance suitable for morning or evening photography depending on the season.
I had a wonderful experience at Memorial Presbyterian Church. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place for worship and community. The services are meaningful, and the pastors deliver thoughtful and inspiring messages. The congregation is friendly, and it truly feels like a place where everyone can come together in faith. The church itself is beautiful, with a peaceful and serene environment.
Mr L — Google review
St. Augustine had no Protestant church when it became an American town in 1821. At first a united Protestant church was favored. Many denominations sent missionaries such as Presbyterian Eleazer Lathrop, who first arrived in 1821. By October, 1823, the few resident Presbyterians had decided to build their own church. Rev. Wm. McWhir arrived to organize the congregation. In 1824, the First Presbyterian Church was constituted and a cornerstone was laid for a structure. That church, which was located on St. George Street, housed Florida's first formally constituted Presbyterian congregation until 1890. Henry M. Flagler, whose efforts greatly aided the opening of the east Florida coast for development, built the Memorial Presbyterian Church in memory of his daughter, Jennie Flagler Benedict, who died tragically in 1889. He presented the magnificent Venetian Renaissance style structure to the First Presbyterian Church. Upon moving in to the new building in 1890, the congregation took the name Memorial Presbyterian Church in honor of their benefactor. The remains of Henry Flagler lie beside those of his first wife, Mary, and his daughter in the mausoleum.

Didn’t go inside, but the architecture is gorgeous with a beautiful flower garden around the church that you can walk through.

The church is nice but it looks more interesting from the outside than it actually is. The structure is beautiful but it isn't an impressive church by any means. It is nice to admire some of the relics and religious artifacts inside (especially the organ), however, it lacks detail. It was just ok. Free admission, $5 suggested donation
Adriana P — Google review
A beautiful church built by Henry Flagler in honor of his daughter, it's definitely worth a visit. The guides are knowledgeable and while the self-guided tour is free, I recommend donating a few dollars to help pay for renovations. Flagler, his wife and daughter and also buried here.

This is a beautiful church in the heart of St. Augustine’s old town! On our tour, we learned Henry Flagler built this church in honor of his daughter. Despite this church being over 100 years old, it took less than a year to complete! Definitely worth walking a few minutes from the main street to get some photos!

It was a nice experience to go see the oldest house in Saint Augustine. There is furniture from back then, and it's staged like in the 1700s and older. There are restrooms in case you need to stop by them. I'm uploading pictures from the outside, the inside downstairs and upstairs. Also, the kitchen was kept outside of the house because they were scared that the house might go on fire.

A complex of several buildings, each with a unique story. The Tovar House contains what is essentially a local museum. The Gonzalez house is set out in very early form and furniture. There is a building with a focus on maps, and another with a surfing museum! An attractive place and exhibits attractively displayed. Small shop at ticket office. Rest rooms.

We LOVED this place! There is a no touch policy on the displays (totally understandable) so kids have to be watched closely, but TOTALLY worth it. This place is beautiful and it's so interesting. My 4 year old stayed enthralled through about 95% of it and that's rare for him. My 8 year old loved all of it and wanted to move in. It's beautiful and wasn't crowded when everything else was. The tour guide was very informative and was very nice! We'll be back and definitely recommend! ALSO, super cheap admission!!!

Oldest house in St. Augustine. If you are a history buff this place should.be included on your list while in St. Augustine. The tour guide here was amazing she really knew her stuff. This should be a spot you visit while.i. town. The houses history is very cool and the dwelling is furnished with different period items. They also have a nice little museum and gift shop. A hidden gem in the city.

My wife and I always appreciate the history associated with St Augustine. The oldest house Museum was great experience with knowledgeable staff. I’ve been by this house multiple times but never went in to explore. Glad I decided to because it was a great experience. The tour was not long either so it won’t mess up any other plans you have for the day either. Bring water with you as certain parts of the house can be warm due to amount of people or time of day but as I said the tour is not too long. Would recommend this place for families or couples.

Interesting tour, great tour guides. You will learn about the construction of the home, the residents and the town. Plan about 30 to 45 minutes for this stop. Adult price is $10. Restroom facilities are clean. Next time your in town check this place out.

The Old City Gates in St. Augustine are a significant historical landmark, dating back to the 1700s when they served as the main entrance and defense mechanism for the walled city. These coquina stone pillars stand as a reminder of the city's rich history and are located at the northern part of St. George Street.
Wonderful place full of fundamental information and historical content. It's like a cultural pot I highly recommend walking all around the old city gates each place is amazing.

I absolutely love old city! This is the first place adventure to once visiting Saint Augustine! Each time I’m in the area I make sure that I go there ! So beautiful and a wonderful piece of history!
Kerrie P — Google review
They’re the original entrance to the city, built in the 1700s, and are right by St. George Street, which is a great area to walk around. The gates are pretty small, but they have a lot of history behind them.

Beautiful city! U can feel the history and just try to imagine how people lived and survived back then! If you are a history lover and don’t have the means to go to overseas or put the country you should go there and experience the life! A lot of old buildings and history! Oldest wooden school, Forts, and I plan on going once a year atleast and experience a little more every time. Beautiful beaches also! Spent a lot of time on St Augustine’s beaches! Water a little strong at that time for the little ones but good waves.

These are the remains of the city gates to the fortified town. The Spanish built these gates in 1808 after they took possession of the region back from the British. The area outside of the city were where crops were grown. During an attack the people living outside the city could enter through these gates with their valuables.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre De Dios is a historic landmark featuring a 204-ft. cross and a shrine to the Virgin Mary, dating back to the late 1500s. Set within the Mission of Nombre de Dios park, it offers beautiful lakes and trees for relaxation, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. The shrine includes the first church in the United States dedicated to Lady of La Leche, attracting pregnant women from across the country.
One of the highlights of my trip. Enjoy a stroll through the gardens for a fascinating look at the early Catholic presence in what would one day be the United States. Highlights include the chapel, as well as the giant cross. Be sure to stop by the gift shop and museum!

I am not a religious person but this place is like a beautiful oasis of peace and quiet. We walked around the park and enjoyed the silence! We also saw few very curious Squirrels running around and jumping on trees. Definitely a beautiful and well kept place to spend time in peace!
Alessandro B — Google review
We came 12 years ago to pray for two families and our answers were answered. Came back to pray for more families. God willing, our prayers will be answered with our Lady's intercession ❤️🙏🏼 We also gave thanks for the births of our grandchildren and others. Such a spiritual and relaxing place.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche is wonderful stop in St. Augustine. It is definitely worth the time to walk the grounds for a little peace after the hubbub of the downtown area. Be sure to visit the cemetery, walk all way out to the cross and the must see Rosary garden. I have visited others but this one is spaced well enough apart that a slow walk actually allows you to say the rosary between the polished stone beads. The chapel is nice and the museum has some interesting artifacts to complete the visit.
Steve C — Google review
This is one of kind experience. Everything is very beautiful, the feeling of peace envelops you and you can feel that you are in connection with something divine. There are walking trails, a little museum and a beautiful bridge that is picture price worthy. The little chapel is one of a kind, when you enter, it's like the whole world stops. I was totally amazed and definitely coming back.
Dayana A — Google review
We stopped by the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche while visiting Saint Augustine and it ended up being one of the most peaceful and beautiful parts of our trip. As a Catholic, it felt like stepping into a place soaked in prayer and history. The chapel is small but so reverent, and you can almost feel the faith of the countless people who have come here over the centuries. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept with Spanish moss hanging over the paths, quiet gardens, and little spots perfect for reflection or saying a rosary. It is hard to believe this is the oldest Marian shrine in the United States, but once you are there, you understand why pilgrims have been coming for hundreds of years. We lit candles, prayed for our family, and left feeling incredibly peaceful. Whether you are Catholic or not, it is worth visiting for the history alone, but if you are Catholic it is truly a grace filled stop with friendly staff. Five stars without question.
Brian S — Google review
I was left in awe of this place. Very historical and religious place to visit. The grounds were maintained very well. The church/shrine is very touching and you will leave very moved. We went on a weekday and there were not that many people so it was good for reflection.

Step back in time and explore the Oldest Store Museum in St. Augustine, where you can take a guided tour to witness a fascinating collection of vintage items from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum showcases an array of peculiar artifacts, including old-fashioned appliances, farm equipment, corsets, elixirs, and more. As you walk through the creaky floors of this historic building, you'll encounter salespeople demonstrating cutting-edge innovations from that era.
The tour guide was SO lovely! Couldn’t have asked for a better person! I didn’t expect it to be led by a guide who walks you through being in that time period but it made it so much better than just walking through a museum.

One of the highlights of our visit to St. Augustine! Our tour guide was Orville, and he was outstanding! His knowledge of everything in the store was amazing, as was his storytelling. The store looks small from the front, but the building is deep and is loaded with great artifacts from the time period. Orville makes you feel like you're actually living in the time the items were new and being introduced to the citizens of St. Augustine. You learn so much and have great time doing so! Well done, and well worth it. By the way, the tickets were included in a trolley tour package that's well worth purchasing.

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, established in 1965 to honor the city's 400th anniversary, is a renowned outdoor venue for live entertainment and events. Situated on 16 acres near Anastasia State Park, it underwent extensive renovations from 2002 to 2007, resulting in added features like a plaza, walking trails, and more. With a seating capacity of over 4,000 people, it hosts various activities including music festivals and fairs.
Wonderful venue with great acoustics and really good seating. Not really a bad seat in the place. Better to sit on the left half since the setting sun can be a bit much if you’re on the right. Great selection of food trucks too!
Michael H — Google review
We attended an event at The Amphitheater and there were some good things about the Venue, and there are some not so good. Although we live near St. Augustine, we had never been to an event there. Our Daughter graduated from Flagler College there in the City.Overall this is a beautiful place. This is Florida and we have a lot of outdoor event venues. This stage was big and totally covered. The rest of the place is like a “ big covered tent”. There are 3 sections. Sections one and two are covered, but section three is Not covered. If it rains,, you will get wet. The day of our event, there was a storm on its way. We were fortunate, the graduation was over before the rain. There is a small refreshment area. Bathrooms are convenient and they were clean. Parking is challenge. The lot connected to the venue is little. They funnel almost everyone to over flow parking. The Elks Club parking is next door, and this is where we parked. They also shuttle from Anastasia State Park. Very nice Venue, just be ready to be flexible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ St. Augustine Amphitheatre – A Perfect Outdoor Venue! The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is one of the best concert venues in Florida! The setting is absolutely beautiful—tucked under a canopy of old oak trees, it has that classic Florida charm while still feeling intimate and well-organized. The sound quality is top-notch, and there’s really not a bad seat in the house. Parking and entry are smooth, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the venue offers plenty of food and drink options (including local favorites). I also love that it’s so close to the beach and the historic downtown area—perfect for turning a concert night into a weekend getaway. Whether you’re catching a big-name act or a local event, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre delivers an unforgettable experience every time! This visit, John Legend!

I had the pleasure of attending my first concert at The Amp last night and WOW - what an elevated experience! This is truly the best concert venue I have ever been to. Parking, entering and exiting the venue was an absolute breeze (no traffic at all), the grounds were beautiful and well-maintained, and every single attendant I encountered was friendly and eager to assist (including those handing out free water to attendees waiting in the long merch line)! I must give special recognition to Tim at the Box Office for truly going above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and valued. His passion for his job shines and enthusiasm for The Amp contagious - I will go out of my way to seek out shows at this venue because The Amp has elevated my show-going experience. Thank you ALL!

Wonderful experience! Went to see Allison Krause a few weeks ago. It couldn’t have been better. My 90 yr old mom is handicap and they were so good to her, front parking, wheel chair to special seats and back to our car. Thanks for giving my mom a nice time!

Best small venue ever! Seats are comfortable and wherever we sit there is good view of the stage. Bathrooms can get crowded, but friendly staff keeps the line moving. Food and drinks are available to purchase at the entrance. Drinks are pricey, which is common at these type venues. Can be difficult to carry food up into the stands. I think people should eat before going into concert area.

Excellent acoustics, very nice ambience when the weather is right. Tricky to park, watch out if you're using all Uber on the way out because everyone else will be trying to get an Uber so there'll be a long wait. Leave 15 minutes early before the concerts over you'll be okay.

Loved our stay at Oceanview Cottage! Great location! Amazing views! Cottage is cozy, clean, & comfortable-especially the beds! The soft, sandy beach was quiet & uncrowded. Ocean was nice for swimming. We saw dolphins every morning when we watched sunrise. Beach towels & beach chairs are provided. There are many other nice amenities. Breakfast & happy hour were both delicious every day. Parking for one vehicle is directly under the house. Sandy, the host, was quick to respond to all questions & requests. Went into town one day and had the happy hour at Marin House and it was so enjoyable, I can't say enough good things about the place and the staff! It was one of the best vacations we have ever had!!!

My husband and I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Bayfront Marin House, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of amazing. We split our time between the Lookout Suite on the beach and the Jose Simeon room in downtown St. Augustine, and both experiences were unforgettable. The Lookout Suite was truly special — direct beach access, a private deck perfect for watching the sunrise, and the relaxing sound of the waves just steps away. Then, downtown, the Jose Sanchez room made us feel like we had stepped into a little castle. The historic charm, beautiful decor, and prime location were just stunning. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff’s attention to detail and warmth made us feel so cared for throughout our stay. And the breakfast? Incredible! No matter whether you’re at the beach house or downtown, breakfast is delivered right to your room — fresh, delicious, and such a treat to start the day. Bayfront Marin House is the perfect blend of luxury, history, and thoughtful hospitality. We’re already planning our return trip — I can’t wait to go back!

Having the vegan choices for our diet go above and beyond and are truly appreciated.

We've stayed at the Bayfront Marin House several times and we always thoroughly enjoy the visit! The rooms are super clean and decorated beautifully. Gorgeous ocean view from the cottages. The customer service is second to none. The owners, Mike and Sandy, seemed to have thought of everything with lots of special touches to make for a memorable stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent food. If you're looking for a special getaway, we highly recommend!

This is a great location right on the ocean. Walk out of the house, down the wooden path and on to the beach. Unit #92-Atlantic Suite has everything you need if you want to stay on site (kitchen, dining room, living room, washer/dryer, etc.). The porch swing is awesome for chilling out while the ocean breeze washes over you. If you’re a walker/runner, it’s an enjoyable trek into town over the bridge. We will be back, and I highly recommend staying here if St. Augustine is on your list.

The St. Augustine History Museum offers a captivating journey through nearly 500 years of history, showcasing the transformation of the originally discovered land into the vibrant city it is today. Visitors can explore historical displays and private collections that depict the earliest prehistoric settlers, the European colonial era, and the influence of various ruling countries such as England, Spain, and France. The museum features replicas of a Timucan Indian Village, a Florida Cracker trading post, and an intriguing Spanish sunken treasure room.
The museum is very interesting. We learnt great facts about history of the country. Kids loved the train and loved to watch it . Great experience

We bought the tickets there with no wait. Stella at Jail museum and uncle Vince at the old history were phenomenal. They put us back in time explaining everything and displaying neat artifacts from the 1800s. The troll around the city is a little redundant and it takes 1:45 to go trough 22 stops. You can’t stop and enjoy wine, liquor distillery and take the next trolly. Make sure to get the sticker on your shirt. It’s a pretty neat little town with lots of history. There is a sand lot Parking next door, so it provides enough space if you are driving. Half of the tour is the downtown , so you can walk and adventure yourself. Def will recommend it to friends and family

The Father Miguel OReilly House Museum is a small, off-the-beaten-path attraction in St. Augustine that tells the story of the Catholic faith in the region over the past 400 years. The museum has seven rooms and a garden, and includes exhibits on Catholicism in Florida during the Spanish colonial era, as well as information about the Sisters of St. Joseph who own and operate it today.
I found this small museum unusual and intriguing. I am always interested in subjects that are new and perspectives that are different.

Grace United Methodist Church, located in St. Augustine, Florida, was built in 1887 by Henry Flagler, who employed the same artisans that constructed his Ponce De Leon Hotel to create this Spanish Renaissance Revival-style sanctuary. The church's terracotta spire and moldings serve as a lasting testament to the city's Spanish influence. It replaced the wood-frame Olivet Methodist Church after negotiations with Flagler, who wanted the land for his Alcazar Hotel.
This beautiful building also has beautiful souls attending services and they actively consider how to make the world a better place. Lot of love in that place.

Grace UMC Church is a welcoming church for all. The Pastors greet the parishioners each service as they come into church. And, the sermons are always a great message to apply to your week. The children's and youth programs are a great learning and social environment for our community kids. Martha Yamnitz, Children's Director and Jessica Chaulk, Youth Director, ensure all children and youth have great experiences with all of the different projects they do together. And, they learn and experience spiritual growth as well as how to care for the planet as well as the community in the things they do. There are many different programs to choose to join at Grace UMC as well. It's a great family atmosphere!!!

The exhibit provides a detailed account of the challenges faced by the Spanish settlers, including their interactions with Native Americans and slaves, offering a unique perspective on early Florida history. With interactive displays and a collection of artifacts, it's an engaging experience for both adults and children. Plus, it's free to visit!
A wonderful museum! The exhibit space isn't vast but does comprise a large portion of the ground floor, you can easily spend an hour or more here and there is plenty of great information about local colonial history as well as a nice collection of artifacts and some interactive stuff for the kids to enjoy. Also the exhibit space is free!

It's free, so that's good. If you want to learn a lot about early Florida history, it is full of information. Although there are some interactive displays, there is LOTS of reading, so elementary kids will be bored after about 20 minutes.

Great! I really did not expect a free exhibition to be that informative abd well presented. Our son really enjoyed himself there too, and he is not a great fan of museums. Wonderful! Congratulations!

This place was really nice. I spent two hrs here with my sisters and we just read all of the history and did all the activities until they started closing and told us it was time to go.

It's a nice little piece of history. It's free and insightful. No reason not to check this place out while in St. Augustine.

Fantastic! The exhibition not only explains very well the overall process of Spanish colonization but also injects very interesting stories of local inhabitants. I learned a lot!

The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens is a stylish property dating back to the 1790s, offering classic rooms and suites. Situated in St. Augustine's historic district, it provides an intimate and upscale experience with modern amenities. The inn features original historical elements such as hardwood floors, fireplaces, and coquina walls from the 18th to early 20th centuries. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool and complimentary breakfast while being centrally located near popular attractions like St.
Had a wonderful stay at The Collector Inn. Amenities were all very nice, rooms were clean, lots of nice extra touches. The grounds were beautiful, well maintained, very relaxing. Staff was all very friendly and helpful, valets were fast and professional. Michael was very friendly and helpful. Overall place was very nice, well run and will definitely be back. Additionally it’s only about a 3 minute walk away from St George street, so location is excellent as well.

Valets are impeccable. Breakfast is yummy and the water machine is so convenient! Excellent location to walk to stuff or to take the trolley. The Well has fun drinks. Pool is great! Rooms had ceiling fans! Staff were super friendly!

We had a wonderful long weekend stay here and are already looking forward to our next visit to The Collector! Staff was beyond hospitable, salt water pool was the perfect temperature, the gardens were far more beautiful than any pictures could capture! Oozing romance and old world vibes, it felt so far quiet and removed from the downtown bustle, when in reality it was just a moments walk to incredible restaurants, live music, and quaint shops. Additionally, the breakfast was much more than your traditional continental spread… homemade biscuits and gravy, fine cheese and fresh fruit, bacon, they even had chia seeds for our yogurt parfaits! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special! We look forward to staying with you next time we are in St Augustine!

A delightful place in every way. A stunning setting with beautiful gardens and historic buildings which are well maintained. Its situated only a few minutes walk away from the historic area with great shopping, restaurants and the old town trolley service. The pool is lovely and firepits are scattered around the garden for evening relaxation. There are complementary snacks and drinks in the units for the first night. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfasts were very nice and the coffee good. Our only slightly negative comment is the bedroom size was a bit small and one had to sidle down between the the bed and the wall to get in or out of bed. Other than that the unit was fantastic. The bathroom was excellent and the supplied toiletries were of excellent quality. I highly recommend this establishment and would happily return there on another visit.

This is the third visit I have made to The Collector Inn and once again it did not disappoint. Our King Suite was perfect. This location is perfect in downtown St. Augustine. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the valet. Anthony, Nicholas and John were great! John at the bar in The Well was also friendly and has great restaurant recommendations. Look forward to our visit again next July.

⭐ 2/5 🛎️ Mixed Experience at a Luxury Property Our stay began with a disappointing welcome from the hostess, and the first room assigned was not well maintained. 😕 Thankfully, Nashana and John (valet) stepped in with exceptional service and professionalism. 🙌 Their kindness and quick thinking turned a frustrating situation into something much more positive. 💯 Unfortunately, the property itself didn’t live up to its luxury branding. 🏚️ There was undisclosed termite work during our visit, and a $50/day amenity fee was charged regardless of use or weather. At this price point, I expected more transparency and flexibility. 💸 The website is beautifully designed but doesn’t reflect the actual condition of the property. 📸✨ I would’ve chosen a different luxury option had I seen more accurate reviews. Bottom line: Huge thanks to Nashana & John for their outstanding service, but the overall value and experience didn’t match the cost. Be sure to read real guest reviews before booking. ✅ #LuxuryLetdown #GreatStaffMatters #TravelSmart #HotelReview #HonestFeedback #CustomerServiceWins

Our favorite place to stay in St. Augustine. This is an ADULT ONLY Bed & Breakfast which we love. The location is great. It is within walking distance to everything. They have exceptional staff, clean rooms, and beautiful grounds. They offer daily breakfast options, and have also a personal bar (The Well) for hotel guests only. Would recommend this place 100 times over. Book now you will not be disappointed.

This beautifully restored hotel is both charming and elegantly comfortable. Friendly staff welcome you and ensure you are comfortably settled in your room. Beautifully restored historic property with a few minor quirks that remind you of the buildings' age. This does not distract from its overall charm.

Ancient City Baptist Church, located in the heart of Saint Augustine, has a rich history dating back to the late 1800s. Railroad magnate Henry Morrison Flagler generously provided land worth $5,000 for the church's construction under specific conditions. The Romanesque Revival-style sanctuary features a Norman tower and oval-shaped stained glass windows. With its Bible-based teachings and friendly community, this historic church offers a welcoming atmosphere amidst the city's historical district.
Fantastic historic church with the most unusual stained glass. However if you get a chance to hear the Christmas Choir and orchestra don’t miss it.

Nestled in the heart of St. Augustine's Historic District, Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection offers a luxurious Moroccan-themed retreat. The hotel boasts elegant accommodations with Old World charm, featuring wrought iron details and hardwood floors. Guests can indulge in the spa lounge, Jacuzzi, and outdoor pool while being within walking distance of historic landmarks like Castillo de San Marcos and the Gonzalez-Alvarez House.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Monica, in St.Augustine. It was a delightful place to stay while we explored the rich history of the city. From their prominent, central location, we walked everywhere and discovered great restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel is a historic treasure itself, so every part of it is a work of art. The unique architecture and artful interiors are like staying in a museum, and a gallery. Our room was spacious, clean and charming, with beautiful views. The staff of the hotel are all fantastic professionals, with unparalleled commitment to accommodating their guests in every way. From the valet service, to the house keeping, and the front desk, every member of the Casa Monica team was remarkable and endearing. James assisted us with the valet several times and was very hardworking. We could take the car out anytime in only minutes. Our room was freshened and restocked by Maria, who was a joy to see each day. I even got to practice my Spanish with her in conversation, which was so fun. Jewel and Nardia were our favorite ladies at the desk every day, and each of them contributed greatly and sincerely to a wonderful stay! We have already booked our next trip to Casa Monica.

I don’t like to write only negative or bad comments. So I’ll try to include good and bad. 1. Location: Very good. In the heart of St. Augustine. Lots of restaurants and sights around the hotel. 2. Parking: Valet is a ripoff at $42/day. If you’re not planning on using your car during your stay (which we weren’t), then there is a very nice and large parking garage that is about 3/4 mile from hotel. It is called “The Historic Downtown Parking Facility”. For $34.08, we left our car there for 4 days and 3 nights. And….they have a free trolley that comes right across the street from the hotel. I included a picture of the front of the garage. 3. Rooms: Nicely decorated. Furniture drawers don’t close. Very comfortable bed. The WiFi is horrible. We are Marriott Bonvoy members. Forget “enhanced WiFi connections” for members. The engineer that came to the room said there is no enhanced WiFi. It was so bad we had to change rooms (after unpacking all of our luggage). Also, because the building is so old, the smell of mold/mildew is significant. And the AC in our room smelled old and wet. We still have dry coughs. 4. Service: First, the good. Rebecca, Nardia, and Charlene were great at the front desk. Really sweet and informative as well as good at fixing problems. The valet guys seem clueless and uninterested in helping. 5. Value: Expensive for what you get. The building is beautiful and historic. So are all the buildings around it. But to spend $400-$500/night for this hotel is high. They need to work on the details of it being an old building.

Central location, great management and staff, ethereal architecture and a chance to become part of this hotels historic and ongoing living history makes Casa Monica the preferred place to stay, eat and drink during your St Augustine visit. Your only regret will be not staying longer or doing more. The quiet directly outside after dark lends itself to midnight strolls through fountained gardens or monumental courtyards that will leave you at ease and returning over and over on cool nights; while views from your suite in the daytime are the one of a kind vista to study long ago pride in architecture and city that still impacts at a glance and lingers long after you leave. St Augustine is historic and Casa Monica is the only way to centralize your experience while incorporating yourself into the already long history of the city and amazing calm, refined and irreplaceable historic resort that has literally everything you need on site and/or immediately nearby. My gf and I were impressed with entire resort experience there. Just know after 10pm eateries shut down in area, far too early, but Casa Monica has its own Starbucks 24/7! Thank you to overnight crew, Although all staff we saw were kind and helpful, overnight blazer guy took charge, very acomidatng! Highly recommend after stay on oct 21st

The hotel is beautiful and I love the history behind it. The room we stayed in was clean and would have been better suited for just two adults. We had a roll away bed for our daughter, and it was very cramped. Our room was located right by the pool which would have been fine had it not been for club music still blaring at 10 pm. There was also a very strong, gross smell when you were coming up the outdoor staircase by the pool area. The location can’t be beat though. You are within close walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions, shopping, and food. If you take the trolley tour, you’re very close to a stop as well. Overall our stay was great but just wanted something a little quieter.

I hate to write a less than 5 star review on this hotel since it has been the only place I would stay when visiting every year. The issue we had is with the "dog friendly" hotel. I don't remember seeing dogs before but this time there were many. Don't get me wrong... we LOVE dogs just not large, not so well behaved dogs in a hotel such as this. Why would you allow dogs in an historic hotel with these prices. We encountered 2 very large rottweilers in the lobby and in the hall on our floor. The Owners had a difficult time keeping them under control. At 2AM we heard the dogs in a ferocious fight in the hallway. What do you do when a dog pees or poops on your historic carpet in the room where another guest will occupy the next day? For the very high price, I didn't expect this. Other than that, the piano player in the lunge was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed him. Next time I will probably look elsewhere for a room.

Fiesta Falls Miniature Golf is a beautifully landscaped mini-golf park featuring waterfalls, a 65-foot Spanish ship, and stunning ocean views. The 18-hole course is located next to La Fiesta Ocean Inn & Suites and offers an elaborate design with eight waterfalls, caves, and buildings reminiscent of old St. Augustine. Visitors can enjoy the tropical ocean theme while navigating through obstacles, hills, hidden levels, mystery holes, a cave, tunnel, and water wheel.
I was very pleasantly surprised with just how nice this place was! The course was fun and a little challenging for the kids. And I enjoyed all the beautiful flowers and butterflies throughout the course. I'm glad we chose to go here instead of into downtown St. Augustine.

I had so much fun playing mini golf here last night (4/23/25), the holes are a mix of challenging and easy. Regardless they are all fun and unique! The grounds are gorgeous. It’s filled with beautiful waterfalls, fountains, and flowering tropical plants and flowers. If you’re unable to climb a lot of stairs it could be challenging as it has multiple levels but it’s well worth it and the view from the top is gorgeous.

Fun experience for a family event. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Be prepared, 18 holes with limited seating and not a lot of shaded areas, HYDRATE! Menu is loaded with sweet treats. The waterfall and rivers are a calming scenic touch. The sounds of the beach slightly peak onto the course.

We had so much fun mini golfing at Fiesta Falls! The course took us about 1.5 hrs (we had 3 kids under 6.5). It was so fun and the grounds were absolutely beautiful! Very clean and well-kept. I enjoyed the beautiful flowers and greenery, and my kids loved the pirate ship and blue water features. We will definitely be back next year!

Loads of variety with unique challenges and twists. Fun atmosphere and friendly service. Family of 4 with 2 teenagers had a blast and surprisingly didn’t lose any balls. The holes are laid out in a windy trail all around the course passing by waterfalls and pirate ships. There are hills, banked edges, pipes connecting holes through sections and more.

St Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast is a historic 1791 B&B located in the heart of St. Augustine's Historic District. The inn offers a variety of accommodations including main-house rooms, suites, a carriage house room, and a five-room cottage, all exuding a serene atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a delicious Southern breakfast buffet as well as complimentary amenities such as all-day hot chocolate, tea, and coffee.
My wife and I have always wanted to go to St.Augustine and the St.Francis Inn was a wonderful and historic place to stay for our wedding anniversary. The staff were all friendly and the food they provided were great! The inn is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to many different attractions so the location is solid. The only heads up I can give is that if it's the rainy hurricane season please be mindful that the streets can flood. We stayed in Miss Lily's room and it was cozy. We did experience something paranormal in the room, but nothing malicious. I highly recommend the St.Francis Inn and would be down to stay there again whenever we visit St.Augustine.

This B&B is so quaint and homey feeling. There is always something to eat available ( fruit, cookies, breakfast, happy hour, and dessert time). The staff as well as the other guests are so thoughtful and friendly. The location is walkable to the Oldest House which is a hop on hop off trolly pickup ( highly recommend the trolly too). The room was comfy and cozy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the clawfoot tub is impossible to get in or out of and the shower curtain is always under foot because it’s to long. The shower did have great water pressure and we never ran out of hot water. We were in the Courtyard room. I hear Marie’s room is just as great as the courtyard room, but has a walk-in shower with a hand held shower nozzle. We will book that room next time. The inn is very quiet and free parking is just across the street. We parked our car and used the hop on hop off trolly the entire visit. I highly recommend this inn.

Stayed here for our 5 year anniversary. It was incredible to spend the night at the oldest inn in Florida! It sits within the oldest neighborhood in the city, full of gorgeous streets, old trees and beautiful architecture from the 1700s. They offered complementary drinks and dessert the night we arrived, and the next morning we enjoyed the daily rotating menu of breakfast items that were hot and delicious. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The room was clean, neat and full of anything you may need during your stay. Thank y'all for the hospitality!!

We had such a wonderful stay at the St. Francis Inn! We were in the Courtyard Room, which was cozy and comfortable, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. From the delicious desserts in the evening to the hearty, homemade breakfast in the morning, everything was just perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, every single person we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is also unbeatable; we were able to walk everywhere and really enjoy the charm of St. Augustine without needing the car. And for all that you get, the price is fantastic. Highly recommend this gem of a bed and breakfast. We’ll definitely be back!

I'd give more stars if I could! The the attention to detail and top notch hospitality made our weekend! The staff was so fun to chat with and could not have been more helpful. We stayed in the balcony room. The room was very clean and cozy and the balcony was perfect for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything but on a pretty, quiet street. All sorts of little treats like the bikes being available to guests, cream sherry, delicious evening desserts (i think homemade!), and a good balance of grab and go breakfast or sit down breakfast options. We will definitely make this an annual weekend getaway spot.

Nestled between the historic district and the beach, The Local - St. Augustine is a charming digital boutique motel that perfectly captures the essence of retro Florida with its vibrant flamingo pink exterior and delightful seaside decor. Just a short distance from attractions like the iconic St. Augustine Lighthouse, this updated property offers various room options to suit every traveler’s needs.
I recently stayed at this lovely small Art Deco hotel in St. Augustine and really enjoyed the experience. The location is perfect—close to all the historic attractions, restaurants, and charming streets. The building itself has so much character, with beautiful Art Deco details and a cozy, boutique atmosphere that feels both stylish and relaxed. There were a few small details that could be improved: the bathroom was on the smaller side, there wasn’t any glassware provided for beverages, and my room didn’t have a “Do Not Disturb” sign, which would have been convenient. The check in process was bit challenging since there is no office on sight so you have to call in and get all details to pickup your keys located in lock box . Tip : text guests with all details before arrival so they don’t have to wonder around . Overall, though, these were minor issues in an otherwise wonderful stay. If you love unique, historic hotels with character and great location, this little Art Deco gem is definitely worth a visit!
Mladen G — Google review
I found this motel on social media and it looked very charming and had great reviews, so I made reservations to stay here late July 2025 for two nights, and did not sleep there once. I gave them ample time to right their wrongs but here we are. I have honestly never experienced worse customer service in my life. (And I am someone who rarely complains and likes to give people/establishments the benefit of the doubt). I arrived in St. Augustine and checked into my room (completely virtual, there is NO staff on sight) and when I walked in there were ants all over. I figured, okay, it’s a motel ground level there’s bound to be a bug or two, but they were everywhere! I couldn’t take a step without stepping on one. I tried to call to hopefully switch rooms but no one answered. I called multiple times, emailed. Nothing. They provided a number to text for all inquiries like housekeeping etc. and all I got was a “we will have management reach out”. It has been THREE weeks and I still have not heard back. I provided video and photos of the issue and was completely ignored. So just a warning to anyone who sees this place and thinks it’s cute. SURE, it might be, but bad customer service outweighs the hell out of that.

This motel was super affordable and cute ! The rooms were nice and close to downtown st Augustine. The only downside I would say is their check in process was not Smooth and the pool was a bit dirty. Hopefully if we return these things will be fixed. Side note the coffee machine in the lobby so good !!!!

Stay was great. We had a double room and it was perfect for our family. Love the cappuccino maker in the lobby. The room had all the amenities with listings of local restaurants. Towels provided for the pool. AC worked wonderful in the summer heat. So close to the amphitheater and alligator farm you can walk.
Donna B — Google review
Enjoyed our quick stay and will definitely be back! Great location. Suggestion for the room—add blackout curtains. The lights outside shine through the shutters quite brightly.
Tiffany H — Google review
The rooms were perfectly serviceable for our stay and the location is great. We were there for three nights to see a concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheater and a few other sights. For a short trip, it was fine. It's within walking distance of a few great bars and restaurants (Sarbez, Hornskis and Flamingo Coffee were some of our trip highlights). Its in a very central location and within easy biking distance to the historic downtown area and other major attractions. The building and rooms are cute and the pool was perfect during out stay. The complaints fall in line with others. No on-site staff, any and all questions or requests are done via text. The marketing doesn't in any way suggest this. Their remote, virtual system was not fully working when we were there, but we got someone on the phone quickly who got us oriented and in our room. There is no housekeeping service for guests, they seemingly only have one person who drops off new towels, toilet paper, etc. This would be a deal breaker for long stays. The person also chose odd times to provide service, walking in on our neighbor while he was changing (even we could hear him telling her to wait) and attempting to walk in on us. The only thing that stopped her was a deadbolt. Comparatively minor quibbles are the fact that the water pressure was almost nonexistent and some outlets didn't work. Overall, a fine place to stay if you're looking for cheap rates, a decent location and ok rooms. Service is pretty bad and would be very grating if you had to stay more than a few days.
Taylor C — Google review
I’m very disappointed to arrive and find that this is the second room that has not been properly cleaned. When booking a room, guests expect it to be clean and ready upon arrival. I came to St. Augustine to celebrate my birthday and enjoy my first visit, but instead, I’ve had to spend time cleaning the room myself. Your website and social media posts are very deceiving when it comes to the actual condition that this motel is in. (Completely run down).

The Mission Nombre de Dios Museum in St. Augustine, Florida, commemorates the 200 years of mission work between Spanish settlers and the Timucua people. The site features the iconic Great Cross standing at 200 feet tall, symbolizing the introduction of Christianity to Florida. Additionally, it is home to the National Shrine of Lady of La Leche, America's first Marian Shrine dating back over 450 years.
Beautiful Catholic centered (makes sense considering who founded St Augustine) space with quiet gardens. Free parking (if available). I am Protestant and greatly enjoyed this. The rosary garden should not be missed by adults. As this is a shrine, young children will probably get bored fast.

We had such a lovely visit. I can see why this is voted one of the most peaceful places in America. It's free to enter they do have places to leave a donation if you are so inclined you can stay as long as you want until dusk. They have a lot of parking. I will definitely return next time we go back to St Augustine and be able to spend more time in this beautiful area.

I learned the first Catholic Mass was on these grounds. Colleen was very informative with history. Our Lady La Leche Catholic Church Mass for pilgrims was beautiful, reverent.

The first Shrine in America dedicated to Mary the Mother of God is here. Where the first ever Spanish settlers erected a Cross. Where the story "La Florida" begun. If you love history and Catholic Christian, this place is of importance.

A beautiful somber place for a walk and reflection. It has a little museum, grave yard, chapel, restrooms, and peacocks.

Historic Downtown St. Augustine, located on East King Street and Aviles Street, is a haven for art enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The area boasts an array of art galleries around the Plaza, offering visitors a chance to explore unique home decor and artistic creations. As the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in the US, this downtown area exudes old-world charm with its cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, and iconic landmarks.
May 2025 One of my favorite places to go especially during the Christmas season. I use to work in the historic district and come here every day. Seeing St Augustine again was like a little dream. We went to the town square & South of Philly for cheesesteak sandwiches. We went to the little shops and walked by the oldest mapped street in the United States. Definitely a go see city and the oldest city in the nation. I recommend parking in the parking garage when visiting the city during tourist season. Parking is scarce and it is worth it to pay for parking at the parking garage.

Absolutely stunning my favorite place in Florida hands down and I'm a native who lives in South Florida. But St.Augustine history and culture is unmatched in my opinion in the U.S.A.

It’s one of my all-time favorite places. Beautiful and relaxing. Great for dates , friends or family occasions. It’s gorgeous around Christmas time. I would highly recommend.

This place is amazing, full of history ( at literally every turn ) but you do not have to be a history buff to enjoy a day or night walking this historical down town because there is every and any type of shop you are looking for ( Art, Clothing, Music, Hand Crafted Leather, Hand Made Crafts, Wood Carved Signs, Ect. ) countless restaurants, numerous sweets and treats, anything you are looking for and not looking for. The buildings are absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere is amazing and you will surely not get a true Saint Augustine visit with out stopping here and walking around the historic section.

Was a nice walk around town. For us it is probably a one n done BUT it is very historic with beautiful buildings.

Casa de Solana Bed & Breakfast is an upscale 1760s B&B offering elegant rooms and a range of complimentary amenities such as a wine hour, loaner bikes, and parking. The historic inn is named after Don Manuel Lorenzo Solana, one of the first Spaniards to land in St. Augustine, and boasts 10 individually designed rooms with period furnishings.
Fabulous bed and breakfast! Gorgeous rooms with every amenity one can think of: plush towels, deluxe bedding, bathrobes and a whirlpool bath. Beautiful setting in the historic area of St. Augustine with a beautiful garden and seating area. Breakfast was amazing with a savory item to start (a delicious egg and sausage souffle) and a breakfast dessert! It was a puff pastry filled with vanilla custard and multiple berries.

We cannot say enough good things about Casa De Solana. Quick check in and out. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, made it so nice to be able to walk around, see the sights and enjoy ourselves. The staff, Oliver, was welcoming and so helpful. The breakfast each day was delicious and in a charming atmosphere. The parking is off sight, but a 5 minute walk. There's a loading and unloading area to park. We stayed in a room on the second floor. It was clean, comfortable and lovely. Great water pressure and nice hot water too. Homemade cookies, yum. We definitely would recommend this bed and breakfast, and cannot wait to come back to dt Augustine.

Located in historic St Augustine, walking distance to many historic sites, shops, and restaurants. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Presentation, presentation, presentation. From the dining room, sitting room, outside sitting area, rooms, and breakfast, everything was wonderful, and looked beautiful. The afternoon social hour was plentiful with wine, water, soft drinks, fresh fruit, meat, cheese and crackers. There was a nice place for our group of 9 to gather. Oliver was attentive and accommodating. Very pleasant. Jenny the chef, provided great service and great food. The presentation was excellent and the taste better. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences of our group. Jenny offered recipes. She greater each guest to ensure our needs were met.

We eloped this past weekend at Casa de Solana and it exceeded our expectations tenfold. We had already booked an airbnb for our 5 year anniversary but we decided to elope last minute. So we found Casa de Solana with a quick google search. The have a ton of different packages available and don't require you to also book a room. Many of the places we looked at required a stay of at least 2 nights to elope there. If we hadn't already had the airbnb booked and passed the cancellation period, we would have gone that route. Jonathan was so accommodating and even threw in a small cake (which wasn't included in the package we picked). They decorated the area so perfectly. It was so intimate and special. The officiant was AMAZING. Her vows were SO good and not religious or spiritual, although I'm sure she could make them so if you wish. They were perfect for us. We also read our own vows and she let us be a little unorthodox. It was just all so perfect and unique to our relationship. We've already decided we're coming back to Casa de Solana for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Absolutely recommend this beautiful, historic bed and breakfast <3

Great overall experience staying in the Kirby Smith room. If you are looking for a comfy and charming stay this is a great spot. Oliver will accommodate any special needs you have whether they be dietary or just a glass of wine. The price for what you get is incredible. Central location with easy access to many downtown places.

We stayed at Casa de Solana for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! The room was beautiful, the food was delicious, we really appreciated the 24/7 access to a variety of cold beverages and hot coffee during the day, and it was a super easy check in/check out process. The location was also top notch. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the owners and staff for such a perfect honeymoon experience!

A Wonderful First B&B Experience at Casa De Solona! This was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and Casa De Solona set the bar high! We stayed in the Minorcan Suite on the first floor, and it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning and prepared with such care. The location is perfect: tucked away and quiet, yet close to everything we wanted to explore. Parking was off-site about three blocks away, but it was close, validated, and easy to manage. The unloading/loading zone right in front of the inn was convenient and made arrival & departure simple. The hosts went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference. We highly recommend Casa De Solona to anyone visiting the area and look forward to coming back!

At the Old Powder House Inn Bed and Breakfast, guests can find rooms with period furnishings and gardens. Some rooms have private entrances, walk-in showers, skylights, or porches. The bed and breakfast also has a Splendid Time Room with a unique collection of clocks.
So delighted with every aspect of our two night stay here. Charming inn with much detail to guest comfort. Great location and parking on site a definite plus. We particularly loved the porch seating, the complimentary drinks and snacks. The breakfast was delicious and every staff encounter was a pleasure. I've already recommended this property to several people. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Second time here first time was memorable. Second time here needs some improvement. It is an old property which is really pretty. We wouldn’t recommend the upstairs front terrace room. The serenity room is upstairs so quite a steep walk up stairs if you have issues. The traffic especially at night is very busy and loud. Call the owner Kate to get a quiet room. Kate is very nice and told us to call next time. The room was very clean and the B&B is very convenient to walking to all the sites and wonderful restaurants.

We had an amazing experience at the Powder House Inn! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — friendly, attentive, and always ready with great local tips. Their warmth and hospitality truly made our stay special. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of historic St. Augustine, just steps away from charming streets, great restaurants, and the city’s main attractions. Yet it still feels peaceful and relaxed, a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Our room was beautifully maintained, full of character, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and clearly prepared with care. We can’t recommend the Powder House Inn enough — it’s the perfect blend of Southern charm, comfort, and hospitality.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in early August and it was amazing! We were checked in by Chase and she was so friendly. The rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. The grace room was so nice, with a deep bath tub! The location is perfect, being just a 5 minute walk to the Castillo, and even closer to all the amazing food, bars, and entertainment. Breakfast is so cozy and yummy, and our favorite were the frittatas! We definitely recommend staying at this preserved and historic bed and breakfast when visiting St. Augustine.

Perfect location - walking distance to everything. Free parking. Complimentary wine on arrival, coffee and breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night and even had a sound machine in the room just in case. The staff were so sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back!

We stayed one night at The Old Powder House Inn as a halfway point for our drive further south. The first thing that drew me to the Inn was that it had on-site parking, a BIG plus in a city like St. Augustine where parking is very difficult and expensive. We parked and didn't move the car until we were ready to leave, that's how conveniently located the Inn is to virtually everything you want to see and do in the city. Since it's an historical location, it is understood the structure is older, but all the modern amenities are here. The owners take great pride in their business and it shows. There isn't always a staffer on site which was a bit concerning to us as when we returned from dinner, our room had no power, and it was just our room. There was a phone number in the room to text if there was a problem, within 60 seconds of me sending the text one of the owners was calling me and giving me step by step directions to the utility closet to reset the breaker. Breakfast was delicious and everyone was wonderfully sweet and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend checking this Inn out if you are visiting the nations oldest continuously occupied city.

We had a lovely time. The owners and staff were very nice and accommodating and the room was nice and clean. We enjoyed a delicious brunch the next day cooked and served by Cadie. The location is perfect walking distance to activities and there is ample parking in the back.

Nestled in the heart of St. Augustine's historic downtown area, 44 Spanish Street Inn offers an intimate and charming stay in a restored 1924 boarding house. The inn features eight immaculately decorated guest rooms with vintage armoires, spacious beds, and original hardwood floors. Some rooms even boast jetted baths or in-room corner spa tubs for two. Guests can enjoy a delightful breakfast served in a separate cottage, adding to the personal touch of this owner-run B&B.
Outstanding little B&B. This gem on Spanish Street in St Augustine is cozy and centrally located in the old section of the city. It’s close to St George St., the Fort, and many restaurants and shops. The Inn has a nice selection of rooms, each with a bathroom and shower. The Inn serves a different breakfast each morning and they are delicious. Most rooms are on the second floor. There is no elevator, so you must use the stairs.
David J — Google review
Perfect location one block over from St George Street. Parking was 2 blocks away so that wasn’t convenient but it looked like other places in this area were in the same predicament. We were warned if you drive off for dinner you may lose your spot though. The room was pretty small and the walls were thin so not soundproof at all. One of the selling points was the jetted tub but the water was only lukewarm so it wasn’t really enjoyable. The water pressure in shower was not good either. Coffee was nice outside the door but no creamer except sweet powdered ones and nothing to stir it with. Not really any view from our room but we were in the back so we didn’t expect it. The front desk lady was really sweet and had good information. Ryan at breakfast was very nice and gave a good description of breakfast and offered more coffee and juice a few times. Breakfast was good it was on the weekend. It was nice to be within walking distance of everything but not worth $700 for 2 weekend nights. I should’ve read the reviews and usually do but went by the pictures and it was our honeymoon so I felt splurging was ok. Everything is overpriced on the weekend though so if you want to visit St Augustine try to go during the week. This place doesn’t have a hot breakfast on weekdays according to other reviews though so you might consider that also.

Loved this place. Staff was super nice and the food was so good. We got a jacuzzi in our room which was so nice. There was a balcony to look out on and we are so close to the night life it's such a fun spot to stay. In saying that. The water pressure in the rooms is weak. You can hear those around you and doesn't feel very private at times but it's beautiful.
Nai — Google review
My fiancée and I had a great stay! Ryan was very accommodating, kind, and made an excellent breakfast every morning. The room was cozy, clean, and had a large jacuzzi tub that was great to soak in (shout out Lantana!). It was an easy walk to tons of restaurants and the heart of downtown St. Augustine, but was still quiet at night. Great value for the price, would highly recommend!

Just wow -- the best of all worlds here. Location is perfect, accommodations are comfortable and homey, and don't get me started on breakfast (spectacular). These guys go above and beyond. They provide a sincere and welcoming home-away-from-home for their visitors. I can't wait to go back to St. Augustine, and the 44 Spanish Street Inn is a significant reason why. Thank you, we loved it!
Michelle M — Google review
We booked last-minute at 44 Spanish Street Inn due to unforeseen complications with our previous accommodation. Ryan booked us into a comfortable room same-night with no issue and provided us with clear instructions for after-hours checkin. The staff is small but mighty and cares deeply for the property and guests. Rooms are cozy and well-decorated with bottled water and bathroom amenities like shampoo, etc. Breakfast on the back patio each day was lovely and the proximity to the sights in St. Augustine can’t be beat. Bear in mind that this location is right in the thick of the pedestrian bustle of the old city & on busy weekend nights you may hear some street noise - no issue for us, but wanted to leave a heads up for lighter sleepers. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to St. Augustine. Thanks for a lovely trip!
May M — Google review
My wife and I had the pleasure staying at 44 Spanish Street, in their Fitzgerald room, which is JUST off of the front porch (and Spanish Street) at the front of the Inn. The room was absolutely beautiful, with a mixture of Early 20th Century for the bedroom and sitting area, and modern Euro vibe in the bathroom; with custom tiling and multi-head shower system. Our concierge, Ryan, was EXTREMELY helpful, congenial and informative as to the locale and where to go, and provided us with his personal cell phone, should we need anything. Breakfast in the courtyard and cottage out back was lovely, with mimosas and coffee; and light jazz playing in the background. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, with comfort, ambiance, location and price; and we will absolutely be going back to stay again!

Hello, I booked a night for September but we needed to cancel due to an issue. I contacted them through the contact form online twice, emailed directly, and called. I did not think this would be an issue as there is nothing in the terms and conditions that said I could not cancel or that it was nonrefundable. After a couple of calls and voicemails, with no reply, they blocked my number. I have never seen anything like this before. I am still waiting to hear back as I do believe a refund should be no problem.

Flagler College, established in 1968, is situated on 19 acres of stunning landscapes with the historic Ponce de Leon Hotel as its centerpiece. The hotel, originally built by Henry Morrison Flagler in the late 1800s, was a symbol of luxury and elegance. Designed by renowned architects Carrere and Hastings, it embodied Flagler's vision of grandeur. St.
Students give the tours and are very knowledgeable about the history and the stories of the building. A stunning display of opulence and showmanship, Flagler wanted to make a statement and certainly delivered! A must see if you get the chance. You need tickets to take the tour. Tip your tour guide, they are students with expenses.

This is one of my favorite tours to recommend for visitors in St. Augustine. Flagler College is such a beautiful step back in time to the guilded age. So many rich and famous friends of Henry Flagler stayed here. Learn about the history of this magnificent building while being guided through by students attending Flagler College, helping them earn some extra money while attending college in this magical town.
Scott Y — Google review
We did not attend here, we just walked around and toured it while on our honeymoon, the buildings in this town are so beautiful. Everything had that red….brick? Clay? I’m not sure what it is but it is gorgeous and all the buildings have it. I love the uniformity.
Emily E — Google review
We have been here for 5 years and have walked in the courtyard and lobby many times. Today, we finally took the tour, and glad we did. Tia did a great job teaching us the history and showing us the highlights of the original Ponce De Leon Hotel, now Flagler College. Thanks Tia!!

Our family took the Historical Tour of Flagler College, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to St. Augustine. The building is absolutely stunning, and our guide did an amazing job bringing its history to life. My son loved hearing the stories about Henry Flagler and the old hotel — the Tiffany glass and grand dining hall were exceptional. If you’re visiting St. Augustine, this tour is a must for all ages!

The Old Spanish Trail Zero Milestone is a monument marking the very beginning of the auto highway that once linked San Diego to St. Augustine, Florida. Completed in 1929, this historic road was built to link the south with the southwest and played an important role in connecting America's cultures. Today, this monument is located in a lovely park setting and is one of three markers along the Old Spanish Trail.
This could be easily missed if you aren't paying attention. I like finding old markers like this.
