Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Mcleodganj, Green Hotel offers a charming and budget-friendly retreat for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. The hotel features modest yet cozy rooms adorned with minimalistic furnishings and wooden antiques, creating a warm atmosphere. Many accommodations boast private balconies that overlook stunning valley views, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. One of the highlights of Green Hotel is its delightful restaurant, which serves an array of vegetarian dishes from Tibetan to Italian cuisine.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel for almost a month! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staffs made us feel welcome. They were always friendly, professional, and went out of their way to help with anything we needed—whether it was giving directions, getting informations about ride, offering local recommendations, or quickly addressing any questions or concerns. Their warm and attentive service really stood out and made a big difference in our experience. All the other staff members and helpers were also very kind and courteous. The hotel itself is in a great location—convenient, safe, and close to everything we needed. We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay!

Great experience. Room has a wonderful south facing view. Everything was spotless and the bathroom is equipped for modern comfort. Staff was also very friendly which contributed to a great experience in town. Only drawback is the wifi which I found to only work well by the reception (my room was far from there). Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise because the neighborhood dogs can be quite vocal at night !
Paul L — Google review
I have had an enjoyable stay in this hotel so far. For two months, My wife & I have stayed here to enjoy the place and work online. The view for our room is fantastic and it is close to the town centre (5min walk).
Luis C — Google review
Worst customer service I ever encountered. I was staying in this area and wanted to walk down there to see available rooms for next few days. I asked the lady at the counter and she was very rude. She ignored my question. I asked her few times if they have rooms available. Then she looks at me and rudely asks, "for whom?" What kind of question is that. Then she says nothing is available below Rs2500. Is it the way I look? To her probably look as someone who can't afford 2500! Or is she just nice to non-indians? I walked away. Would never stay at some place like this who have no respect to people or judge people by their looks.
Bhavani Y — Google review
The rooms are like just another hotel... The view is not unique but good though. The USP is it's location and service. It's adequately far and near dolma chowk. Accessible to market area, auto/bus/taxi stand and parking. The owner is very cordial, the staff is good. Cleanliness is 10/10. About The restaurant , food is good I tried Tibetan dishes only. Seating both outside and inside is comforting. Outside seating is so homely yet luxurious. They have built homes for small bird who eats little breadcrumbs it finds or the leftover , one of them directly came my table so i gave it a piece of Tibetan bread butter I was having... After being reluctant.. It eventually joined me on my table. I travel a lot.. And couldn't sleep in hotel rooms... But here rooms were so neat and clean, so welcoming that I slept like a baby .
Kugi P — Google review
Green Hotel has a very nice inside and outside sitting area to relax and spend your time. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food is mostly local and very delicious. Rooms are comfortable but should be maintained and especially cleaned better, above all the bathrooms and the floor. Unfortunately, Green Hotel is located directly on a busy street, so it can get loud due to traffic. Rooms are very noisy. The surrounding is attractive since plenty of bars, supermarkets and cafes are very close.
Stefan K — Google review
Great experience with a wonderful and friendly host. He allowed us to use a terrace to teach my online yoga classes. Very helpful for everything we needed. He also allowed us to have our online meditation class in the cafe. The view was incredible from the cafe and from our room. I would give 5 stars but there were some issues with the bathroom including the toilet seat that was only attached with one bolt instead of two so it was very unstable. Also the shower head did not come out from the wall further than the faucet which meant that it was not possible to stand directly under the shower to bathe. The room and bathroom were VERY clean. The food in the cafe was also good. I enjoyed Spring rolls and a nice latte. The location is great because it was close to everything. If you wanted to go out in the evening for a bite to eat or for shopping, you could find everything on that street or the next one over. It was a great experience and I would definitely book here again in the future. Thanks to the staff for a great visit. 💗
Jennifer K — Google review
I had a very nice experience at this hotel. I stayed for 2 nights in Jun17 and had a comfortable and cozy stay. The eating area is good. The rooms at the top have a single balcony each that face the Dhauladhars. The views are beautiful and there's limited seating space for 2-3 people in the balcony. The room and bathroom are spacious. The bathrooms and sanitary fittings are very nice. There's a nice foyer in the front of the rooms on the second floor that also serves as seating area. One can enjoy the weather when it rains outside, including in the balcony. The street is quiet at night and the beds are really food. The sleep quality was quite good. The food and service in the restaurant is good. The staircase is slightly narrow but considering the space in the town, it is good.

With a variety of accommodation options ranging from cozy rooms to luxurious suites, treehouse cottages, and spacious bungalows, there's something for everyone.
Very peaceful, serene surroundings. Rooms are aesthetically designed. Interiors are simple but elegant . Balcony view is very good. Proper ventilation (air and sunshine) Walking distance from main market. Staff is experienced and hospitable. Food is good. Our Overall experience is good and shall come again and again. I wish owners and management a very good luck, peace, prosperity and happiness.

I recently stayed at this hotel and would rate it a 3-star experience. The view from the hotel wasn’t very impressive — nothing much to see outside. The buffet was decent, though there weren’t many options to choose from. Food quality was fine, but variety could definitely be improved. The staff was friendly and polite, which made the stay more pleasant. Room service was just okay — not very quick or consistent, but manageable. Overall, it’s an average place to stay if you’re not too particular about views or food variety, and are just looking for a decent, comfortable stay with helpful staff.
Anindita N — Google review
After staying at the hotel for 2 nights, here is my perspective. Hotel D's Casa definitely gets some brownie points for location, having its own parking and overall look The room attendants are very prompt and try their best to help most times. The Premium Rooms on the second floor are equipped with Electric Kettle, hot/cold ac, good sized with a balcony; however ours did not have a great mountain view but rather overlooked the parking lot next door. The fridge in the room has to be turned on separately by the staff based on request. The buffet breakfast was functional but nothing special and for us the best part was the Coffee Machine coffee. The switch board position in our room was a little incorrect and we accidentally switched the tv off more than once (it was exactly behind my head pillow). The bed was also made up with two separate mattresses nd there was a significant gap in the middle. The weirdest part however was the TV. With IPL running, we tried to catch the matches at night. On the second day, the English Commentary channel was suddenly disconnected (watched the match on the same channel on night 1). We asked the Staff, nd Manager to check on that and turn it on but that never happened. Overall, next time I may pick another hotel in the same area but good for one visit.
Soumee B — Google review
Neat and clean rooms… wooden floors helps keep the room warm! very good behaviour from staffs. Good and simple breakfast spread (not much options in menu), near to the temple, shopping area and taxi stand!!!

Brilliant Stay, beautiful hotel and very caring and friendly staff. They made our stay very comfortable. Hotel is very close to market and has parking too. The food at the restaurant and breakfast buffet was very delicious. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel rooms were clean, the amenities provided were of good quality. The manager and the staff were helpful. The food was very good and the kithcen staff provided good service. The rooftop gave a great view of the mountains. Overall a must stay place
Jagmohan B — Google review
Food , service and staff everything was good. Staff was very cooperative. Specific for food: Milk and tea should be included in Breakfast buffet. Both are from vending machine currently. It should be live from kitchen at breakfast time. Menu items listed in Menu book are not fully available. Tandoor is missing. For location: Location is great as it's situated on mall road. One problem is, route is one way. If you missed the lane for hotel you need to have round trip of 900mtr approx

I had a truly wonderful experience here. The views are absolutely breathtaking every corner feels like a picture-perfect moment. Whether it’s the peaceful surroundings or the stunning landscapes, it’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. What made the visit even more special was the staff. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their hospitality made me feel so welcome and comfortable, adding a personal touch that’s hard to find these days. A perfect combination of natural beauty and exceptional service—I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

The Hotel itself was everything you need for a stay. Personal pickups and drop offs. Extra blankets in the closet, house slippers, a kettle , WiFi, hot water, a great view, and great staffs. The customer service was swift and friendly. They gave us recommendations on places to eat and walk around also making sure we feel safe wherever we went. Will definitely book with hotel akash again. We went during off season and although there wasn’t much guest staying, the service was always the same. Thank you once again to all the staff

We stayed three nights in this hotel and it was very nice and cozy. It was also the cleanest hotel we stayed during our two weeks in India. The staff was very helpful and especially the owner was amazing. He even managed to make us breakfast, eventhough their roof terrace cafe/kitchen was under construction and not ready yet. The location was also good and you can easily walk to the main square and another popular spots. Warmly recommended!

Nestled in the serene hills of McLeod Ganj, Chonor House is a delightful retreat that beautifully captures the essence of Tibetan culture. This tranquil hotel offers stunning valley views and features rooms adorned with exquisite Tibetan-inspired decor, making each stay feel like an artistic experience. Designed by British architect David Porter to harmonize with its natural surroundings, Chonor House is conveniently located near Thekchen Choling Temple and the Dalai Lama's residence.
Tibetan style hotel in a very good location next to the Dalia Llama's home. Room was big and clean with great views. We appeared to be the only people staying there which was a little bizarre. The service wasn't great, no staff around at breakfast and we had to wait 30 mins before anyone turned up ! Enjoyed our stay though.
Stuart H — Google review
I had a great stay at Chonor House. The staff were very kind, respectful, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was very clean and comfortable. Everything felt thoughtful and special-from the beautiful decor to the tasty meals in the cozy dining room. You can really feel that this place has heart and meaning. It's more than just a hotel-it's a part of the culture.
Maila S — Google review
An absolute gem—a little slice of heaven tucked away in McLeod Ganj. I’ve stayed four times, and I honestly can’t wait to visit again. The rooms are stunning- and actual works of art. Each one is decorated with beautiful Tibetan-inspired designs that make the whole place feel so special. It’s peaceful, calming, and has this zen vibe that’s hard to find anywhere else. What I love most is how tranquil it is. Next door to the HH Dalai Lama’s temple- it’s the perfect spot to unwind, recharge and maybe even find yourself. The staff are so kind, welcoming and accommodating —they really make you feel at home. Compared to most places in the area, Chonor House stands out in the best way and feels very top quality experience. It’s cozy, unique, and so much nicer than the usual options. It’s one of the reasons I can’t wait to come back. Already counting down the days until my next visit.
Alex B — Google review
This is a nice hotel, staff is friendly and location is good. But our experience was not great. We had booked the hotel for two nights. We had no running water after the first day and so we had to move to a different room in the night which has never happened to us before. I hope this is one off event but wanted to share it with everyone.
Ash R — Google review
Finely detailed Tibetan hotel with very friendly service. Gorgeous thick handmade rugs, wall paintings of Tibetan spiritual life. Excellent location - close to the home of his Holiness. Great restaurant offerings from breakfast though to dinner. Highly recommended.
Robyn K — Google review
I recently had the opportunity to stay at Chonor House, and regrettably, the experience was far from satisfactory. For a property that carries such a reputation, the quality of service was surprisingly poor. One of the most frustrating issues we faced was with the food service. Despite placing our order two hours in advance, the food was still not served on time. I had to personally go to the kitchen multiple times to follow up and remind the staff—something no guest should be expected to do. There was a clear and troubling lack of coordination among the staff. Even basic services like room service, housekeeping, and addressing simple queries required repeated reminders. This pointed to either inadequate training or ineffective management, neither of which reflects well on the establishment. What made the situation worse was the behavior of one staff member, who was blatantly rude and disrespectful. Such unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable in the hospitality industry and left a lasting negative impression on our stay. What was intended to be a relaxing and enjoyable visit instead became unnecessarily stressful. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve both staff conduct and operational efficiency. Chonor House has potential, but that potential is currently being undermined by poor service.
Ranjeet B — Google review
Nice hotel very close to the Dalai Lama Temple, Tsuglagkhang Complex. Buffet breakfast and restaurant is fine.
Eric C — Google review
The staff at the hotel and restaurant were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to ensure my stay was comfortable. The service was top-notch, with every request met promptly and professionally. Whether it was the front desk or the housekeeping team, everyone went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. Their dedication to providing excellent service truly set this establishment apart. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at this hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. The location is excellent making it easy to explore nearby attractions, markets, and transport options. The food was another highlight. The restaurant offered a good variety, and the meals were fresh, flavorful, and well-presented.

Room was good but had hot water issues, balcony door lock issue, had to ask for towels a multiple times. Few small cockroachs in the room and even after telling them they made no effort to clean up the room before we came back from siteseeing. Blunder was to find a cockroach in food as well on the last day breakfast. So for us this was not a pleasant stay. Considering the room rates it's a well below average.

Dear Mr. Vishal and the Exceptional Team at Hyatt McLeod Ganj, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the truly remarkable experience I had during my three-night stay at Hyatt McLeod Ganj. From the moment I arrived, your team’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made my time here unforgettable. Every staff member—from the front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, to the spa—exuded hospitality that went far beyond my expectations, and I am profoundly grateful for the countless small gestures that made me feel so valued and cared for throughout my stay. To Mr. Vishal, your leadership is nothing short of extraordinary. Your ability to create an environment where every guest feels special is truly inspiring, and I am so thankful for your personal attention and kindness. You and your team are a testament to what world-class hospitality looks like. During my stay, I experienced an unfortunate accident while walking in Dharamkot, outside the hotel premises and entirely unrelated to the property. In that moment of distress, when I was badly injured and reached out for help, your team responded with unparalleled compassion and efficiency. The way you cared for me felt like I was being looked after by family, turning a challenging situation into one filled with gratitude. Your support showcased the very best of humanity and service, and I will forever be thankful for your kindness. Hyatt McLeod Ganj is a gem, perfectly nestled amidst the serene cedar forests, offering a peaceful retreat that feels both luxurious and close to nature. I am so happy I chose your property, as there is no other in McLeod Ganj that compares to its beauty and charm. Its prime location, close to all the attractions, made exploring the area effortless, while the stunning surroundings provided a sense of calm and joy. Additionally, the property is absolutely wonderful for families, with a fantastic range of activities for kids that kept the younger guests engaged and delighted. This thoughtful offering made the experience even more special and memorable for families like mine. The front office team welcomed me with warmth and made every interaction seamless. The food and beverage team delighted me with exceptional meals, each served with genuine smiles that brightened my day. The spa team provided moments of relaxation that soothed both body and soul, and the housekeeping staff ensured my stay was comfortable and impeccable with their meticulous care. Beyond these, it was the countless small gestures—each thoughtful act, warm smile, and kind word—that made me feel so grateful to the entire staff. Hyatt McLeod Ganj is more than a hotel—it’s a sanctuary of warmth, beauty, and unparalleled service. My three-night stay was nothing short of magical, and I am already looking forward to returning. I will wholeheartedly recommend your property to everyone I know, as it is truly the best in the region, especially for families seeking a perfect blend of relaxation and fun. Thank you, Mr. Vishal, and every member of your incredible team, for making my stay so extraordinary. Your kindness and dedication have left a lasting impression on my heart. Our experience at the Hyatt Regency Dharamshala was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The hospitality and attention to detail truly made our stay special. A huge shout-out to Sunny, Nikhil, and Anshul — their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure every little thing was perfect. The property itself is stunning — surrounded by the serene beauty of the Himalayas, it offers the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. The evenings were made even more memorable by the Himalayan Band, whose live music added such a magical touch to the atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dharamshala

Our stay at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort was nothing short of delightful. Nestled amidst tall cedar trees with partial but charming views of the Dhauladhar ranges, this property truly offers a serene mountain retreat experience while maintaining the high standards of Hyatt hospitality. Property & Location The resort is beautifully designed, blending modern comfort with the natural Himalayan charm. For those driving up, a small but important tip — use Google Maps only till St. John’s Church, and then follow the hotel’s signages for the most convenient route. The drive post that can be slightly tricky, but the hotel’s directions are spot-on. Butler Experience We stayed in one of the Residences, which come with dedicated butler service — a first for us, and an experience that truly elevated our stay. Our butler, Saurab, was exceptional. He was attentive, warm, and proactive, available at all times to assist us with anything we needed. From planning our day’s itinerary to suggesting local eateries and coordinating activities both within and outside the resort, Saurab was our one-stop contact for everything. His attention to detail and thoughtful service reflected the highest level of hospitality. Culinary & In-Hotel Experiences The in-house dining experiences were equally impressive. The high tea and evening drinks sessions were beautifully curated, offering great food, cozy ambience, and views that made the experience even more enjoyable. Activities & Experiences We joined the morning walk to Thupka, organized by the Hyatt team, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a gentle forest trail that opens up to breathtaking vistas of the Dhauladhar mountains — a must-do for anyone staying at the property. What stood out most for us was the politeness and genuine warmth of the staff. Every request was met with a smile and prompt action, making us feel truly cared for.

The best service and staff EVER! An absolutely beautiful hotel that’s about a 20min walk from Mcleod Ganj - if you ever want to leave! We had incredible service from the staff at this hotel - notable mentions to Sunny and Deepak in the restaurant who made our stay extra special. The staff literally granted every request we could ever make (even made some off-menu Poha on special request for breakfast!) Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, with a view looking out to the courtyard. The food was fantastic! We enjoyed breakfast, tea and dinner at the restaurant at the hotel - every meal was beyond fantastic. The chefs are amazing! Also: - Wifi stable and fast - In room TV, lots of English channels - Amenities - fantastic, great on site Spa and Pool - Transport, easily arranged with the hotel front desk Cannot wait to return to this hotel!

Dear Hotel Hyatt Owner, Today I went to Hotel Hyatt for a sauna session. It was my first time at a 5-star hotel, and I was very excited. But the sauna was not effective — it only felt warm and there was no steam. I told the reception, but they said it’s working slowly. I also saw there’s only one shower for sauna, spa, and swimming guests. Please kindly check the sauna before guests enter and add more shower rooms. Thank you, Tenzin Yonten

Not recommended at all. No activity like billiards snookers table tennis.. badminton ground is all time wet. Not at all good sitting even in Premium category room. Buffet space is very less.. cannot sit in room balcony and outside during buffet also, due to so many monkeys. Hell disappointed with this Hyatt property of Dharamshala. Probably my last stay in Hyatt.

Nestled in the heart of McLeod Ganj, Pink House is a charming boutique hotel that offers vibrant rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi and stunning mountain views. This pet-friendly accommodation provides a touch of elegance and warmth, catering to furry friends with special amenities upon request. Embracing the philosophy of 'Atithi Devo Bhavah' (guest is god), Pink House prioritizes exceptional hospitality, ensuring a memorable stay for all guests.
Definitely 5/5. This is one of my favorite properties to stay at. Beautifully done walls, clean rooms and awesome location. You need to walk down a number of stairs to reach the hotel, so yeah you might not figure it out from the main road. We booked a superior room with mountain view, and trust me, it offers you the best views possible. The staff at the terrace cafe and reception are so humble and offer great hospitality. The cafe set up, both indoor and outdoor is beautifully done and has a number of indoor games, books, bean bags and what not. Its as lively as it can be. Highly recommended place!

Really good place to stay for a view. We got villa on top gor 5 people and the view was breathtaking. If you are looking for good place, value for money and centeally located to place then go for pink villa. The only issue is street, it is narrow and car cannot go easily. But you can park and walk easily. Overall, a worth place to stay, they have decent breakfast, and people were very friendly.

It's an amazing hotel if you are prepared to walk down & climb up the stairs. Wall art right from the entrance upto the reception is a treat to the eyes. Cooperative staff, amazing view from the rooms & good food is all you need, & u surely get that. They take care of all your needs. Best part is that the owner(mr.javed) himself is personally involved in the management to keep things good. Bathrooms could be better, not much happy with that but coz they provide 24hr hot water supply so no complains for that too. The books collection can keep you occupied on a good rainy day to sit & relax in the terrace enjoying the beautiful mountain view. 1 major complaint I have is that the rooms get too noisy is there is movement on the terrace. The staff could not help me on that as the guests have been doing that, but it's was too annoying. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cozy home stay feel. What it looks like from outside is not to be considered if you have visited the inside. I just wish if I could get one of the amazing art pieces. Keep up the standards & keep improvising.👍🏻

Amazing location, best hospitality, good food, clean rooms, fabulous view from the common area, they can help u get adventures with there snow trek and paragliding. I loved there welcome drink, it was a booster to the brain after a day long drive. Ideal for all kind a travelers and it's pocket friendly too. :) Note: all good things comes at a price and for this place it's just 50 to 60 stares(steps) might be a lil challenging for 40+ age group. But for others just a warmup b4 the session.

The best part about this place is the open restaurant/love in the balcony that provides a lovely view of the variety and the mountains. The food is fairly priced and tasty too although the service tried too long. The rooms are just about okay. Cleanliness can be improved and the fixtures are quite old. It is very difficult to access the place though as one has to climb several flights of stairs to get to the place.
Sadhana R — Google review
Be ready to experience a lot of stairs. For me that was absolutely OK though. The rooms & bathrooms were pretty average, need to work on d hygiene. The rooftop restaurant is very neat with a see through ceiling but shuts by 10.30pm and they don't even offer tea/hot water post that, but the food they serve which takes a lot of time to come to your table so place ur order well in advance the food on d other handabsolutely delicious and very fairly priced... All guys working here are really helpful and polite.

Pink house is a nice, offbeat rather quirky hotel situated in Mcleodganj. Location is very close to the local attractions such as the Dalai Lama Temple, Namgyal Monastery and the local markets. Was very impressed with the quirky decor in the lounge area, and found it rather refreshing. We were welcomed with kashmiri green tea made with saffron and cardamom. The staff is very welcoming and cooperative and went to great lengths to ensure our comfort. I would like to thank Azgar (the manager) and Ishfatq, mansoor, mahindar (the remaining staff) for their hospitality during our stay. We had opted for inclusive breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the dinner we thought was delicious. The food was cooked fresh as we ordered (Alacarte) and I would recommend trying some of the north indian delicacies they have to offer. Only con of the hotel would be the ridiculously long flight of stairs you have to climb to reach the hotel. I guess if you are a young individual, this would not be an inconvenience. But for an elderly person, it would be quite challenging. Also, the hotel doesnt have their own parking (have an arrangement to share the parking space with another hotel). Rooms and bathrooms were very clean however towels and sheets felt old and needed to be replaced. All in all, really enjoyed my stay here and the view from the lounge is to die for!!!

Salman bhai and his staff are really a great team and very friendly hosts. Food is great, rooms are nice, service is prompt and quick. I went there for my honeymoon and loved the stay. They even helped me arrange a surprise for my wife's birthday. The view from the restaurant was amazing. Get up early and you can enjoy your day to the full. You get to the main road, and you'll get a bike rental service. Don't waste your time and energy over tour services. Get your own ride and enjoy. The hotel is worth more than 5 stars. The reason I'm giving 4 stars, is the fact, that we need to use at least 40 high rise stair steps to get from the hotel to the main road. Well, it feels good when you're back from your daily routine. Since I'm asthmatic, the stairs were a pain for me to start my day with. Otherwise it was an awesome stay.

Nestled on a picturesque hillside, Hotel Norbu House in McLeod Ganj is a charming retreat that offers breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. Just a short distance from Kangra airport, this informal hotel boasts spacious rooms adorned with beautiful architecture and thoughtful lighting. Guests can unwind on the terrace or in the garden while soaking in the stunning mountain and valley vistas. The property features an array of amenities including a cozy library and convenient paid airport shuttle services.
This place was a have of luxury in an otherwise frugal stay in India. Sure you’re paying for the luxury, but the kindness and care of the staff here was second to none. I was struck by the way they remembered my name between visits and even my health condition. They made me an early breakfast before my dawn flight and genuinely made me feel like I mattered - not something I’ve come to expect from the typical luxury hotel chains. The views from the terraces and from many of the rooms is stunning. Dawns and sunsets are breathtaking. Expect a walk down a narrow lane to get access. It’s worth it. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending.

I was told I was given the same room as had Mark Zuckerberg, or was it Nancy Pelosi? Or maybe both? No matter. Surely, I had one of the most comfortable rooms in all of the Indian Himalaya. Not a 'you've been assigned JFKs bathrobe in the Plaza' life-changing experience, but life-changing nonetheless. Fantastic breakfast spread each morning. A truly sublime experience when taken for an hour or so in the cool air on a patio overlooking the Namgyal Monastery as the tantric monks begin their day, with views far down the hill all the way to Dharamshala and the vast Indian plain beyond. But keep an eye out for the monkeys. Theirs are focused on your plate, for sure.

Norbu House – Kindness in the Hills Norbu House has long been one of the familiar hotels in Dharamsala. Newer places have come up, but it still holds its strengths — clean, well-kept rooms, good views, and food that is always dependable. Prices are not cheap, but for this trip I chose a large room. It gave me the space to properly rest, and also to begin each day with my morning prayers. That made it worth it. The slope leading to the hotel is tougher for me these days, the daily walking up and down the slope can be a bit of a challenge, and the open space in front has sadly disappeared to make way for new construction. Yet what makes Norbu House special is not the building, but the people. After my duty as emcee for the evening cultural performance, I returned late to the hotel without having had time for dinner. The kitchen had already closed. Yet Mr. Wangdu and his daughter still went out of their way to prepare a plate of fried noodles for me at 10.30pm. A simple plate of noodles, but an act of kindness that I will always remember. For me, that is what makes Norbu House more than a hotel — it is a place of warmth, care, and memory. #NorbuHouse #Dharamsala2025 #McLeodGanj #Hospitality #Gratitude #SpiritualTravel #MileageRunWithMerits

The staff at Norbu House is always on hand greet you with a smile and help with any needs that arise. They also serve delicious food, coffee, and ginger lemon honey tea. I highly recommend Norbu House. I've stayed there twice in the past year, and I can't wait to visit again in the future.

Rooms are nice, big with nice view. However, I had no warm water for most of the stay - I had to ask them to fix it. The wifi did not work well enough to take calls - I had to take the calls from the cold reception. They refused to take a card payment and had no idea how to do bank transfer payment. The hotel feels a bit shabby and the building from outside is a bit old not well maintained. The location is OK

During my visit to Dharamshala, I decided to extend my stay by two days in the picturesque area of McLeodganj. After browsing through various options on Make My Trip, I settled on a property that was highly rated for its proximity to the main square. I’d like to share my thoughts in a pros and cons format to help fellow travelers make an informed decision about this place, as I had a pleasant experience during my stay. **Pros:** 1. **Prime Location:** The hotel is situated just a stone's throw from the bustling main square, making it incredibly convenient for exploring local shops, cafes, and attractions. I've attached videos showcasing the vibrant surroundings. 2. **Modern Lift:** The property features a fairly new elevator, which adds accessibility for guests, especially those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns. 3. **Newly Furnished Rooms:** Each room is tastefully decorated and equipped with brand-new furniture, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. 4. **Spacious Family Room:** For larger groups or families, there is a generous family room that accommodates two beds, providing ample space for everyone. 5. **Private Balconies:** Many rooms come with personal balconies, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh mountain air and stunning views. 6. **Washrooms with Geysers:** Each bathroom is equipped with a geyser, ensuring hot water is readily available, which is especially appreciated in cooler weather. 7. **On-Site Restaurant:** The attached restaurant, Tens Cafe, offers a variety of delicious meals, serving both local and international cuisine. 8. **Large Smart TV:** Each room features a big smart TV, perfect for entertainment during downtime. 9. **Reasonably Priced Cafe Food:** I found the menu at the cafe to offer a diverse selection of tasty dishes at reasonable prices, which was a pleasant surprise. **Cons:** 1. **Average Cleanliness:** While not terrible, the cleanliness of the property could use some improvement to meet higher standards. 2. **Staff Professionalism:** The staff seemed somewhat unprofessional; they didn’t wear uniforms, and their demeanor could benefit from more training and consistency. 3. **Slow Service at the Cafe:** Though the cafe was capable of taking orders, the delivery time was quite lengthy, often taking 50 to 60 minutes. 4. **No On-Site Parking:** The hotel lacks dedicated parking facilities; guests must park their vehicles about 300 meters away, which can be inconvenient, especially with luggage. 5. **Luggage Assistance Issues:** When we requested two helpers to manage our luggage to and from the parking area, only one was sent, leaving us to carry half our luggage back on our own, which was frustrating. 6. **Pest Issues:** I did notice a few small insects in the room, which detracted from the overall experience. 7. **Pricey for What’s Offered:** At 11000₹ for two nights, I felt the price was quite high, particularly considering it did not include any meals or additional amenities. Overall, while there were a few drawbacks during my stay, the positives—especially the location and modern amenities—made for an enjoyable experience in McLeodganj.

- The room was excellent—very clean and spacious. - The host was very accommodating and always available on call. - The location is convenient. - Complimentary driver meals are provided. - They offer the option to bring in outside food if you prefer something not on their menu. - Hot water is available. Things to keep in mind: - The washroom does not have a jet spray. - It's advisable to call ahead when you're about to arrive so that they can arrange for someone to meet you on the road. The location is quite steep with no place to stop, so this person will assist you in parking your vehicle. - The washroom curtains face directly towards the lobby. If they are even slightly open, everything inside will be visible from outside. - While the owner is excellent, some of the staff (two boys from Bihar) lack basic etiquette, such as assisting with luggage.

Always a delight visit the holiness place. This time I also attended his lifelong ceremony with a bunch of tibetans and renowned scholars who happened to visit this ceremony and seek his blessings from all over the world. Such a delight to witness him and this ceremony in person and feel a surge of true spiritual energy, even with more than 1000 people around. I guess it's the holiness in Dharamshala effect.

There is adequate security in the area and common people can see the temple with ease and comfort. You get spiritual experience whenever you visit this temple. There are statues of Tibetan Saints in the complex and one experiences utmost peace and tranquility in the temple. You can see The 14th Dalai Lama in the temple whenever he is in Mcleodganj and gives sermons. One must visit the temple whenever one visits Dharamshala.

Nestled in the serene deodar forests, the Church of St. John in the Wilderness is a stunning 18th-century structure that showcases exquisite Neo-Gothic architecture. Built in 1852 and dedicated to John the Baptist, this charming church features beautiful Belgian stained-glass windows gifted by Lady Elgin. A visit here offers more than just spiritual solace; it’s a gateway to adventure!
St. John in the Wilderness Church is truly a magical place. Nestled in the middle of a dense forest and surrounded by towering deodar trees, the church feels like something straight out of a storybook. The neo-Gothic architecture and intricate Belgian stained-glass windows are stunning, especially when viewed in the soft light filtered through the rain and mist. There's something surreal about the cool, moss-covered stone walls and the deep silence that blankets the area. It’s peaceful, a little haunting, but deeply calming—a stark contrast to the chaos of city life. The fresh forest air and the natural beauty around the church make it a must-visit if you're in the area. Whether you're a history lover, a spiritual seeker, or just someone looking for a quiet escape, this place will stay with you long after you leave.

Amazing place, very historic. The place around the church is too scenic. The forest behind the church is perfect for photo shoot and spending quality. You can get good chai, pakoda and Maggie just outside the church. Must visit place in Mcleodganj.

Truly a Peaceful experience. The historical charm and tranquility of this site makes it worth a visit. Surrounded by tall deodar trees, a quiet escape from the bustle of the town. The architecture is simple yet very beautiful and the entire atmosphere feels calm and serene.

A peaceful and historic stone church surrounded by tall deodar trees, St. John in the Wilderness offers serene beauty and old-world charm away from McLeodganj’s bustle, though the lack of maintenance and moss-covered walls slightly dull its grandeur.
Aman C — Google review
The Church of St. John in the Wilderness is one of the most peaceful and historic places near McLeod Ganj. Nestled amidst tall deodar trees, it offers a serene escape from the busy town. Built in 1852, the church has stunning neo-Gothic stone architecture and beautiful Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin. It also houses the grave of Lord Elgin, a former Viceroy of India, which adds to its historical significance. Despite the 1905 Kangra earthquake, the church still stands strong, with an old cast-iron bell placed outside. The atmosphere is calm and spiritual, making it perfect for reflection and quiet walks around the surrounding forest. It’s just a short walk from McLeod Ganj and is free to enter. A must visit for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone seeking tranquility.

One of the oldest church in northern India. It’s situated at McLeod Ganj near Dharamshala HP . Very beautiful Himalayan town. Place worth visiting once in life time. James Bruce , the Governor General and Viceroy of British India, who happened to be Governor of Jamaica , Governor General of Canada and Ambassador to China, died here in Dharamshala. His widow Mary Louisa build his Memorial in this premises , just behind the church ⛪️.

Visiting St. John in the Wilderness Church in McLeod Ganj was a truly peaceful experience. Surrounded by tall deodar trees, the church is not just a place of worship but also a quiet escape from the bustle of the town. The architecture is simple yet beautiful, and the entire atmosphere feels calm and serene. Although the church is not very active due to the small Christian population in the area, its historical charm and the tranquility of its location make it worth a visit. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or just looking for a peaceful spot to reflect, this church is a hidden gem in McLeod Ganj.

✨ Church of St. John in the Wilderness ✨ Tucked away in the silence of tall deodar forests, I stumbled upon this timeless beauty from 1852. I expected a quiet, old structure... But what I found was peace, grace, and a deep connection to the past. ⛪️ Built in memory of John the Baptist, this Anglican church survived the great 1905 Kangra earthquake — a symbol of resilience. Its Belgian stained-glass windows, mossy walls, and the resting place of Lord Elgin (former Viceroy of India) make it more than just a monument — it’s a place that speaks without words. 🕊️ Some places don’t shout, they whisper to your soul.

In McLeod Ganj, near Dharamsala, the Kalachakra Temple is a prominent Tibetan temple within the Thekchen Chling complex. Built in 1992, it features stunning paintings of Kalachakra (Wheel of Time) associated with Avalokitesvara. Following Buddhist tradition, visitors circumambulate Tsuglagkhang Temple and enter the westernmost building to find the Kalachakra Temple. This small monastery boasts intricate and vibrant murals and houses a stupa.
Kalachakra Temple is a spectacular Budhhist Temple that will astound you with its stunning designs, colours, architecture and vibe. It's situated on the main road, a few meters from the Dalai Lama's Monastery. The main temple is located on the top floor and the ground floor is dedicated to the monks who were seen reciting Buddhist scriptures in a nonchalant demeanour. The room containing the Giant Prayer Wheel is a must-visit. Highly recommended to visit during your trip to Mcleodganj.😇🙏🏻

Visited this place, the surroundings are very unclean and it is difficult to spot the place now. Even then, the place is having that feel of the Tibetan temple and monastery. Government needs to be involved and clear out the nearby places and maintain this place well. Recommend to visit this! It's right in the city centre
Sujay S — Google review
Kalachakra Temple is a small Buddhist temple located right in the middle of the main McLeodganj market. The main temple is on the top floor, and the area can get quite crowded, so it’s best to visit early in the morning. A must-visit to admire beautiful Tibetan architecture and soak in the peaceful vibe amidst the bustle.
Swadha G — Google review
Our visit to the Kalachakra Monastery was a truly enlightening experience! While it's located in the heart of the market, which can get quite crowded and noisy due to the traffic jam, the monastery's serene atmosphere and stunning architecture make it a must-visit destination.
Pawan S — Google review
The Kaalchakra Temple, also known as the Dalai Lama Temple, is a small yet serene Buddhist temple located right in the heart of the area. Though modest in size, it carries a peaceful and spiritual ambiance that makes it worth a visit. At the center of the temple is a large statue of Buddha, a common but always impressive sight in Buddhist temples. The interior is calm and ideal for quiet reflection or simply taking in the spiritual atmosphere. Do note that parking can be a bit tricky around the temple, especially during peak hours, as it’s situated in a central and slightly congested area. Still, the experience of visiting the temple makes the effort worthwhile. This temple is not a monastery, this is tourist place with no entry tickets.

This spot is particularly stunning during winter when the peaks are cloaked in snow. Visitors can drive or hike to this vantage point to capture stunning sunset views and take advantage of telescope facilities for mountain gazing.
astonishing view from Naddi view point and nearby hotel rooftops, pretty underrated place with having a hard road to drive on to reach. But if you are looking for watching the white Himalaya mountains from close by, this is the place for you. Naddi is a serene hilltop village near McLeod Ganj in Himachal Pradesh, India. Located at an altitude of around 2,000 meters, it offers breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar mountain range, making it a popular yet underrated destination for nature lovers and peace seekers. Unlike the bustling tourist spots of Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj, Naddi provides a tranquil environment with panoramic landscapes, especially during sunrise and sunset. One of the main attractions is the Naddi View Point, which offers a stunning close-up view of the snow-clad Himalayas. It is also an excellent spot for photography, meditation, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. The area is surrounded by deodar and pine forests, making it ideal for trekking, with trails leading to places like Triund, Kareri Lake, and Dharamkot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Naddi View Point – Dharamkot Absolutely stunning view! The sight of the Dhauladhar mountains glowing golden at sunrise and sunset is truly mesmerizing. The air feels crisp, peaceful, and refreshing — a perfect escape from city noise. The viewpoint is easily accessible and has a few small cafés around where you can enjoy a cup of tea while watching the sky change colors. If you’re visiting Dharamkot or McLeod Ganj, don’t miss this spot. The calm, the beauty, and that golden light on the peaks make it an unforgettable experience. 🌄

Naddi View Point is a beautiful spot just a short drive from McLeodganj, offering stunning panoramic views of the Dhauladhar mountain range. It’s perfect for catching snow-covered peaks and breathtaking sunsets. During our visit, it rained, which made the atmosphere even more magical - with mist rolling in and clouds hanging low over the mountains. However, the place has become extremely crowded lately. There were so many cars parked all around that it was hard to even find space to move freely or enjoy the view in peace. At times, it got quite noisy, which took away from the otherwise serene vibe. While it's still worth a visit for the views and photo opportunities, it's best to come early or during off-peak times if you're hoping for a quiet, reflective experience.

🧘‍♂️ A peaceful oasis nestled in the Himalayas! The perfect place to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with yourself. ✨ Their 10-day introductory course in Buddhism is life-changing – deep, reflective, and beautifully guided. 🌲 Surrounded by pine trees and calm energy, the silence here truly heals. 🙏 The staff and volunteers are kind, and the community you meet is inspiring. Highly recommended for anyone seeking inner peace and self-discovery!

Pros: ✅ Peaceful and spiritual retreat for meditation and self-discovery ✅ Offers excellent courses on Buddhism and mindfulness ✅ Surrounded by lush greenery and serene Himalayan views ✅ Well-maintained, clean, and quiet environment ✅ Knowledgeable teachers and a welcoming atmosphere Cons: ❌ Mobile phones and talking are restricted in many areas (which might be difficult for some) ❌ Booking in advance is required for most courses ❌ Located on a steep hill, which can be challenging for some visitors Overall: A must-visit for those seeking inner peace, spiritual growth, and an escape from daily distractions. Perfect for meditation, silent retreats, and learning about Buddhism.

Tushita Meditation Centre is a serene oasis! Beautifully landscaped gardens where you are free to roam around or spread a mat to reflect, meditate or just chill with a book. Even in the mist of monsoon it had a mystic charm to it. Mind blowing scenes of nature. Apart from landscapes there are Buddhist courses , free walk in meditation in the morning. The wonderfully crafted Buddhist introductory course I attended was truly transformative. Our teacher's wisdom and guidance were invaluable, and the peaceful atmosphere of the centre allowed me to deepen my practice and connect with like-minded individuals. The tranquility of the space is palpable, and I felt my mind and heart heal with each session. Highly recommend Tushita for anyone seeking spiritual growth and inner peace 🙏❤️ Note- 10 day introductory course is not for everyone so please go over the details on the website before enrolling and make up your mind for silence, long meditation sessions, monk food ofcourse which according to me was delicious healthy and light on stomach.

This place is like a portal. As soon as you enter through the gate and starts moving through the trail, the sounds and noise from outside keeps mellowing down like a fade out used in a 1970s prog rock track. You will find yourself in complete silence. As you enter you go within. This is a must visit place for anyone looking to unwind and find a sense of calm or looking for a sacred safe space. It almost makes you feel like you are on a pilgrimage.

Silence is the mantra there. Speak to yourself! Place is perfect for someone seeking inner peace. There is meditation session from 9-10AM. But unfortunately on the day we went the session was cancelled. So do confirm before going. One can individually meditate any where in that place. We booked taxi from McLeod Ganj to reach there who charged ₹300. Return we came by walk. There is walkway on backside for those who want to walk down. It’s safe. I knew they have 10 day sessions also. Do explore

Pema Thang Guest House & Restaurant is a charming retreat in McLeodGanj, offering traditional rooms with stunning views of the Kangra Valley. It's an ideal place for a cozy New Year's Eve celebration, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for a peaceful and intimate evening. The restaurant serves delicious meals in a tranquil ambiance. Situated amidst pine trees on a quiet street, it offers great proximity to local attractions while maintaining a peaceful environment away from noise.
This is the third year in a row that I am staying at Pema Thang. Beautiful, big, spotlessly clean rooms. Extraordinary personalized service. The restaurant services delicious food, with a broad variety of options. If there is one thing I would ask for is a greater number of vegetarian options, but a vegetarian can get by on the standard menu. Highly recommend.

I visited Mcleodganj with my daughter and we stayed at Pema Thang Guest House. Mcleodganj can be extremely crowded in the summer months. We chose too visit in off season since we were looking for a quiet vacation. Pema Thang guest house has nicely done up rooms, with very courteous staff, a nice meditation room, with Buddhist chants playing in the morning, which were enough to give my day an amazing start. The restaurant piano piano serves Chinese and Italian cuisine and the restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful. My daughter fell sick for a day during the trip and the restaurant staff were really helpful with customising our food and providing us whatever we requested, even if it was not in their regular menu. The breakfast buffet is simple but nutritious food, and we loved it. I would not be looking for any other hotels when I visit McLeodganj next. I’m definitely staying here every time I visit.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Room door lock was spoilt and we requested them to rectify the same. The staff blamed each other and till the day we left the same was not rectified. The washroom door could not be closed as that too was spoilt and damaged. The washroom door was not rectified even post 4 nights of our stay. The wash basin had continuous leakage and water from the wash basin entered the room continuously. This was not rectified or corrected and the staff would come and only wipe and on the last day the staff offered us to change the room after the trauma we went through for 3 days. Post our check out the concerns are not rectified. We were very patient throughout our stay hoping things would be rectified. I would not recommend this place as for the basic tariff we pay we expect basic hygiene and comfort .

We would like to thank the staff of Pemathang Guesthouse for the outstanding services during our stay from 18-23/05. We enjoyed our journey very very much. The hotel is a wonderfull place to stay in McLeodGanj. The rooms are comfortabel and very well-maintained. The food in restaurant Piano Piano, belonging to the hotel, is delicious, the services exquisite. Staff gave all their due attention to whatever we asked for - this was our first time in Dharamsala, so we had a lot of questions! Everything was done to make our stay as excellent as possible and always with a smile: explaining the road, changing money, ordering taxi, arranging breakfast for the day after because we had to get up early. Special thanks to Sanjay! And thanks to all staff for this week in paradise! Stephanie and Katrien from Belgium

Pema Thang Guest House is a fantastic place to stay while visiting Dharamsala. We stayed 5 nights to fit in everything we wanted to do in the area, the location is very close if your main objective is visiting HHDL’s residence and performing circumambulation of the compound. The hotel is on a quiet street and within walking distance to so many shops and local restaurants. The hotel has great views of Dharamsala, gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from the balcony. The staff is friendly, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. Hot water is available readily and the food at the hotel restaurant, Piano Piano is fantastic and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The desserts are a must try.

Mcleodganj is rapidly gaining a reputation for being loud and overcrowded. for those who have been here over the years the big challenge is always to find places that continue offer the quiet and elegence of the old times. thats where pemathang comes in, tucked away at the end of a quiet bylane, pemathang feels far and away from the hustle bustle and yet, a few minutes walk and you are right among all the cafes and the shopping options and ofcourse the temple. location apart, pemathang and its happy staff offer a welcoming enviornment, some really lovely views of the valley below and good food at the lovely piano piano bar and restaurant.

I have had bad experiences in the past as well but I have never taken time to write a review about it . But this time I am writing because this is just scam nothing else . Overpricing the room with the statements like premium services and all but in truth the service was very poor There was pungent smell in the blankets and to top that there were insects crawling in our bed in the middle of night. Only good thing was food which was served to us very late. Staff ignored when I complained about anything. I suggest everyone to look for some better alternatives rather than staying here. I couldn’t sleep whole night because of the above mentioned scenario.

I have booked my stay in this hotel on June 13 through MMT. 1 hotel location is good but u have to take of ur car with uphill road which is totally narrow road’s, very steep and dangerous. New driver can’t go. 2 I paid 9000 approx for single night including breakfast. I thought there would be buffet in breakfast as it was showing online, but they provided limited Oder menu, they didn’t mention any where that it would be specific meal options, U can book other properties like fortune or lemon tree same cost approx with good brands. Infect many other brand properties. 3 staff is not friendly except martin he guided well but I spose it was his duty to explain how to reach the property as it was totally confusing. 4 property name was jk resort but they sale under the name of alt life luxe. 5 they served expired coke. 6 insect in bed I am myself a travel agent but I don’t recommend this property at all totally waste of money and ur good time. I was in rush and reached late night so I have to book it.

Nestled in the vibrant shopping district of Dharamshala, Indraprastha Spa Resort offers a delightful blend of comfort and luxury. With casual rooms and elegant suites boasting stunning mountain views, this family-friendly retreat is just a short drive from popular attractions like Dal Lake and Naddi Viewpoint. Guests can unwind at the cozy bar or dance the night away at the disco after indulging in rejuvenating treatments at the spa.
Set amidst the strawberry hills, this beautiful property gave us the perfect mix of comfort, luxury, and natural beauty. But what truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. From the warm welcome with an early-check in possibility and helpful staff, everything was managed with genuine care and professionalism. The resort team went above and beyond to accommodate my family's needs — always with a smile. Special thanks to the reception and dining staff for making our stay smooth and memorable. However, just a note for travellers who would love to stay on the mall road for a quick bite or market exploration this is not the place! Please look for a small room amidst the hustle of mall road. Coz once you are at Indraprastha it would be really tough to do the up and down more than once.

We stayed at Indraprastha Resort and Spa for two nights with family and had a wonderful experience. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. They even accommodated an extra bed at no extra cost, which made things much easier for us. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both very good, with plenty of options to choose from. Service was excellent, and every request was handled promptly. The rooftop pool was a highlight, with a beautiful view that made it a great spot to relax. Overall, this was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great service, good food, and a lovely setting made it a memorable family trip. Would happily return.

The hotel is located about 5 km from Mcleodganj Mall Road, right next to the Best Western. Do note, the road leading up to the hotel gets quite steep and may be challenging if you’re a new driver. The rooms are undoubtedly good — centrally air-conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety and great taste. However, the à la carte food was average at best — dishes like chilli chicken and corn pepper salt didn’t meet expectations, especially at a price point of ₹500–600 per dish. Housekeeping was underwhelming. Our room wasn’t properly cleaned after the first day, and overall cleanliness on the second day was just average. Staff needed repeated instructions and often didn’t understand requests the first time. Despite multiple reminders, they consistently forgot to lock the room after cleaning. Essentials like hand towels and floor mats were missing — and not replenished even after reminders. The view from the room was decent, though partially blocked by a large green mountain. For a better view, you’d need to visit the terrace area or the rooftop bar. The terrace pool is a nice addition. However, don’t expect your car to be cleaned — that service is not offered. Unfortunately, we were given a room next to the housekeeping store, and the constant noise from staff accessing it over two days was very disturbing. Conclusion: Ideal for a short stay — maybe a day — but not recommended for longer stays.

Beautiful location. Such a stress reliever. Staff and services are excellent. I really enjoyed my stay. We have not opted for buffet dinner yet they allowed us to take anything for kids. Their food was too yummy. Vishal sir left no stone unturned to make kids comfortable . They really made us feel special.

My recent stay here, nestled in the heart of the mountains was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the breathtaking views, crisp mountain air, and warm hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable getaway. Service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, courteous, and always ready with helpful recommendations for hikes, sightseeing, or in-house experiences.

Zostel Mcleodganj is a laid-back hostel located on a hilltop, featuring a charming cafe, a garden, and a rooftop terrace that offers stunning mountain views. Guests have raved about the clean rooms, delectable food, and the various engaging activities organized by the friendly and accommodating staff. The curated experience includes hikes to sunset points, group bike rides to Bir, evening bonfires, and plenty of games.
I had a great stay at this hostel! The rooms were clean, the on-site café served delicious food, and the balcony offered absolutely stunning views. The atmosphere was fun and social, with bonfires, games, and plenty of chances to meet other travelers. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Plus, the location was super convenient—just a short distance from hiking trails and other local attractions. Highly recommend!

Good place, nice views and great service. Loved the food and the live music at night too. We checked out in the morning and ended up needing a place to freshen up after out trek in the evening and they accommodated us for that too and even helped with random stuff (thanks for those polybags you scoured for our wet shoes dude, I'm never forgetting that).
Garima M — Google review
We had such an amazing time at Zostel McLeod Ganj! The staff was incredibly polite, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. We were a group of six girls, and since the 6-bed female dorm was full, they kindly gave us two 4-bed dorms and kept one completely private for our safety — which meant so much to us. The rooms were spotless, bathrooms super hygienic, and the overall vibe was so warm and welcoming. A special shoutout to Rajat at the food court — he’s extremely polite and always ready to help! The senior chef (though I forgot his name) deserves huge appreciation — the food was absolutely delicious. They even arranged a fun bonfire night and had plenty of games and activities in the food court area, which made our evenings extra fun. Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has only a 3.7 rating — it truly deserves a solid 5-star for its hospitality, cleanliness, and safety. As a group of girls, we felt completely safe and well cared for. Thank you, Zostel McLeod Ganj team, for making our stay so memorable! ❤️

I’ve stayed at around 24 Zostels so far, and sadly, this one has been one of the most disappointing experiences. Usually, even if there’s a climb or trek to reach a Zostel, it’s worth it because of the amazing locations they pick. But this place really didn’t offer much value for the effort. The entrance area had a bad smell and gives a poor. The corridors were damp, poorly lit, and didn’t feel clean. The only decent part of the property was the common area. It had some element of aesthetic to it. Even the paid towels had a strong, unpleasant odor. And don’t go by the photos. The place looks nothing like them in reality. I genuinely hope Zostel inspects this property soon, because it really needs improvement before it affects the brand’s overall reputation. Will definitely not recommend this place.
Shubham K — Google review
Zostel McLeodganj – Great Location, But Poor Stay Experience We had booked 8 days at Zostel McLeodganj, but ended up cutting it short to just 2 days because of the experience. The biggest issue is the steep climb – nearly 100 stairs to reach the property, which makes it unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone who doesn’t want that effort every time. The location is otherwise good – only a 5-minute walk to the main chowk, with plenty of cafes around. The food at Zostel is great too, with lots of variety. But the rooms were disappointing. Our quad room was dirty, had cockroaches, and the bathroom was stinking. The property overall feels old and in need of maintenance. We decided to move to Zostel Bir (about 2.5 hours away) instead, and the difference was huge – it was much cleaner, better maintained, and more comfortable. Overall, McLeodganj’s Zostel has the vibe and location, but really needs upkeep. Until then, it’s hard to recommend for a long stay.
Owais S — Google review
No food options available , staff is rude and makes face and waves hand at everything , had to go out to eat , even after being generously polite and requesting no heeds paid . Secondary issues are you’ll have to climb up to go out or eat out every time you sneak out. Had one common class at reception for water dispenser , everyone sipping from that and not washed after using , bad hygien. Not recommended. Again the staff especially at the top floor cafe is egoistic and pathetic behaviour. If you ask for alternatives in stayed at few other places , utopia in upper dharamkot , hosteller in bagsu nag , way way better services . Thanks for your attention

The dormitory is well maintained. The location is also good. The only problem is 100 steep steps. If you are not bothered about the steps its a great place to stay. Cafeteria food is good and also provide great views of mcloadganj I would recommend the place for stay.

Monastery
Namgyal Monastery is a prominent Tibetan temple located in the serene town of Dharamshala, amidst picturesque mountain views. It is also known as Dalai Lama's Temple and serves as the official residence of the Dalai Lama. The monastery offers a tranquil environment for meditation and yoga sessions, attracting visitors seeking spiritual retreats. With over 200 practicing monks, it stands as the largest Tibetan shrine outside Tibet, embodying pure Buddhism.
Namgyal Monastery, located in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala, is a significant and vibrant center of Tibetan Buddhism and culture. Often referred to as the "Dalai Lama's Temple," it holds the distinction of being the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. Established originally in Tibet in the 16th century and later re-established in Dharamsala following the Tibetan uprising in 1959, Namgyal Monastery plays a crucial role in preserving Tibetan traditions and assisting with the religious rituals involving the Dalai Lama. Home to nearly 200 monks representing all four main Tibetan monastic lineages, the monastery is a hub of learning and spiritual practice. Its curriculum includes the study of Sutra and Tantra texts, Buddhist philosophy, and the art of debate. Visitors can often witness the monks engaging in lively philosophical debates in the courtyard, a unique and fascinating aspect of their training. The monastery is also renowned for its intricate artistic traditions, including the creation of butter sculptures and colored sand mandalas, as well as the performance of sacred monastic dances, ritual music, and chanting. The temple complex itself is visually striking, featuring traditional Tibetan architecture, vibrant prayer flags fluttering in the mountain breeze, and intricately adorned prayer wheels. The main shrine houses an impressive statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. The atmosphere within the monastery is generally serene and conducive to contemplation, offering a peaceful respite from the bustling streets of McLeod Ganj. Photography is often restricted inside the prayer halls to maintain the sanctity of the space. As the largest Tibetan temple outside of Tibet, Namgyal Monastery is a must-visit for those interested in experiencing Tibetan culture and spirituality in Dharamsala.

Incredibly serene and thought-provoking place. Whether or not you follow any spiritual path, the calm energy and peaceful surroundings make it a space worth experiencing. The rhythmic chants, spinning prayer wheels, and tranquil courtyards offer a unique cultural insight and a break from the chaos of daily life. The architecture is simple yet elegant, and the location offers beautiful views of the mountains. It’s a great spot to pause, reflect, and soak in the atmosphere of McLeodganj. For anyone curious about Tibetan culture or just looking to unwind in a peaceful environment, this place is a must-visit.

Namgyal Monastery was founded in 16th-century Tibet by the second Dalai Lama, Gendun Gyatso. Since its founding, the Namgyal monks have assisted the Dalai Lamas in public religious affairs and have performed ritual prayer ceremonies for the welfare of Tibet. The monastery was also established as an esteemed center of learning, contemplation, and meditation on the vast and profound Buddhist treatises. Situated in Lhasa next to the Potala Palace, the private residence of the Dalai Lamas, Namgyal Monastery has played an integral role in the Tibetan religious establishment over the centuries.

A must-see for a calm and spiritual experience!

Wonderful place with many happy, calm ,peaceful faces including old and frail people. I feel sad that they are forced to get out of their own land, home, it's really painful. It's courageous IMs. Indira Gandhi then PM who gave shelter to all of them. We must keep the legacy and let everyone work on spiritual path as that's the ultimate goal of life, sooner or later, in this life or after 500 lives. Unfortunately, couldn't meet Dalai Lama as he was out of town. My best wishes to all spiritual seekers.

I recently stayed at Shalom Dharamkot and had an amazing experience! The rooms are recently renovated, and I stayed in a private room that was spotless and well-maintained. The facilities were top-notch, and I particularly appreciated the window mesh on the balcony door - a thoughtful touch that was missing in another popular hostel I visited. The location is perfect - it's just a short walk from the market, yet quiet and peaceful. The backyard is a serene oasis, with the soothing sound of flowing water creating a calming ambiance. The hosts, Vishal, Moses, and Harsh, were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The lift was a huge bonus, especially after a long hike in the nearby. Overall, I'd highly recommend Shalom Dharamkot to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and peaceful stay in Dharamkot. Great job, Shalom!

Rooms wise very good hotel, hotel staff was also polite and attentive, but I didn't get any complimentary things which were promised on my cleartrip booking. When I requested them, they provided me another room with a hill view. Location wise it is also much downhill from the main square so some walking is required every time you get out of the hotel. Didn't order anything since I found cheaper food and vibe outside rather than at the hotel.

Staying at The Vaikunth Hotel in McLeodganj felt like stepping into another realm altogether– a serene, magical world deeply soaked in Tibetan culture and peace. Tucked away from the hustle of the world, this hotel is a sanctuary of calm with an absolutely breathtaking view that stays etched in your memory. The vibe of the place is so warm and welcoming, thanks to the incredibly helpful and kind staff who made every moment comfortable and memorable. The food? Absolutely delicious! Every meal felt like a soulful experience. What’s more, there’s something almost miraculous about this place– every trace of joint or muscle pain my family had simply vanished as if the mountains had whispered some healing charm. The markets nearby are vibrant and colorful, selling the most beautiful clothes, spiritual items, and unique home décor pieces you’d want to carry back to keep a part of McLeodganj with you. And the places I visited– monasteries and temples echoing with chants, crystal-clear waterfalls, charming local markets– they were nothing short of otherworldly. The cold breeze, the mesmerizing morning and night views, the soothing quiet, everything about this town in the July–August monsoon mist feels dreamlike. Honestly, I didn’t want to return back. I fell head over heels in love with this place. A week is the perfect time to soak it all in and feel the magic; because trust me, there is magic here. If you haven’t planned a trip to Vaikunth Hotel in McLeodganj yet, you’re missing out on a slice of heaven right here on Earth.

Stay was comfortable - in one room with a Mountain View AC was dripping water . Breakfast is a total waste of money . AMAZING hotel in mcleodganj you can ever find. The view from the terrace is spectacular. Service is just perfect and available 24/7. Geysers work perfectly fine and one can find hot water for bathing without any issues. We left our valuable item there accidentally and they were really very helpful in assisting us. They send it to us through speed post and we received it within a week itself. Highly recommended place to stay. Quite close to the hot spots of the area and has maintained hygiene perfectly. The tariff is reasonable and just worth it. This place will make your stay even more memorable. 🤍just loved it

Stayed there with my family for 4 days in April 2025. Posh Hotel is one of the best hotels in mcleodganj. It is located on main road and market is very nearby. The Hotel also has parking space. On arrival we were welcomed with refreshing Kashmiri Kahwa. The rooms are spacious and neat and clean. You can have great view of mountains from the hotel. The room service is worth mentioning. Each staff member greets you with smiling face and are always ready to help. The food in it's restaurant is great and just like home cooked food. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's hospitality during our stay.

I booked this hotel after reading the reviews and seeing the photos, but nothing could have prepared me for the horror that awaited. The moment I stepped into the room, I was shocked and deeply disturbed by the terrible condition it was in. It was nothing like the pictures. When I asked to change the room, they shamelessly demanded ₹1500 extra. I had booked three rooms — one reeked of a foul smell that made it impossible to stay inside, the second had a broken flush which they didn’t bother fixing, and the third, which they claimed was their ‘superior room’, had only one working light out of four. One light kept flickering non-stop. When I politely asked them to replace it, they rudely dismissed me, saying, “Two lights are enough, no one else complains. Why are you?” The worst part was the owner's behavior. He was shockingly rude and aggressive. When I calmly tried to explain the issues, he yelled at me in front of my family, making the situation even more uncomfortable. I was honestly terrified by how hostile he was. The only positive thing I can mention is the location and the view from the terrace — but trust me, it's not worth the mental stress and discomfort we went through.

We booked this hotel initially because it was close proximity to the market and had good parking space and hence we booked for 2 days initially BUT….. We extended our stay here for couple of more days as the hotel has everything which one would need to have a relaxing holiday starting from the rooms, location, SUPER NICE AND POLITE STAFF, cleanliness, SERVICE - you ask for anything and regardless of how jam packed the hotel was, they will send it to your room in a fraction of seconds, their restaurant on the top floor which serves really good food (and I’m not even kidding, it’s better than most of the restaurants/cafés in Mcleodganj. Honestly, the stay was so comfortable that we didn’t even feel like going back 😅 But heading back now and definitely, this hotel is going to be our go to place whenever we are in Mcleodganj. Thank you guys 😊

I didn't stay here but called in on my daily walks for a cool drink and coffee. A high-class place with new fittings and a lovely balcony. The coffee was fine and the apple pie I had on my last visit was OK. The sad issue was when my bill came, I didn't think to check and realised soon after I had been overcharged. The unofficial bill on top of the 'proper' bill should have alerted me. The amount wasn't much in the big picture, about 120 INR. It annoyed me, of course, but then made me think. Was I to blame for not checking more closely? Should I need to? I would always give a reasonable tip, and I understand the economic difference between tourists and workers. In many countries, the ethics of life and personal integrity override the short-term advantage of petty dishonesty. In the end, these small acts of dishonesty still make India a difficult and often disappointing place to travel. The result is, of course, I would never go back to the establishment, never recommend it and will feel saddened that someone simply saw me as a target and not a person choosing their place rather than another. I know this won't change anything, but I do hope the management of Hotel M read it and reflect.

The property is just there at main square, just 3-5 minutes' walk from Municipal Car Parking. All popular food joints, restaurants, shopping opportunities are there. Staff is good and room service is available, but after 10.30 pm, no room service. Hotel has cafe on ground floor and restaurant on upper floor. We stayed in mountain-cum-valley view rooms and rooms were neat and clean with amazing views.

Edited: Mr. Joshi (gm) my review was for overcharging me by not working honestly. The staff person with a mustache cheated on me by overcharging me and denying taking online payments was demanding cash payments and said "cash ni hai toh dikkat ho jaegi thodi" and did not provide a genuine bill. This type of activity brings a bad name to this tourist place. If you are so concerned about the tourists, then mention on the counter that if you don't get a genuine bill, no payment will be taken. Previous review: Don't visit the café of this hotel; these people are scammers. The café staff doesn't provide you with the bill and asks you to pay in cash, which is higher than the amount displayed on the menu card, and makes excuses for any mode of online payment. I was charged extra and I complained to them that the amount you charged was more than the item I placed for an order. The staff member started fumbling and returned my money. The café service is also pathetic, as no one attends to customers when there is a rush, and you have to request the staff to place the order, and they take so much time to serve you the order. The tables are also not cleaned on time. I liked only the outside view from the balcony, and everything else was pathetic. If you want to sit on the cafe balcony, you will be accompanied by a monkey, as their balcony is open. The coffee that I ordered was pathetic; the water percentage was higher, and it looked like flooded river water with mud..

The hotel is such a scam. I have visited the hotel to book the stay. I checked the rooms and they were decent then after talking to the reception they said prices starts from 2800 onwards so I told them I’m going to book from website then where I was getting the same room for 1800. They immediately shut down their online booking and it started showing online that all rooms are booked. This is the level of scam they’re doing.

There was an issue with the AC in our room So they provided us with a brand new fan for that night & later they upgraded our room with the best view & some extra complementary benefits with high-tech instruments. Because they are unable to repair the AC . & They didn't charge us for upgradation. Despite all that the rooms are pretty convenient .

This pet-friendly haven ensures that every guest feels at home, providing amenities like food bowls and pet beds upon request. The hotel features two relaxed dining options where guests can savor delicious meals tailored to their preferences.
The rooms are neat and clean. I travelled with family. This place felt safe and comfortable to my family. The staff are very responsive and nice. The Mcleodganj market is at 500m walking distance. You can enjoy the morning and evening mountain view from the rooftop restaurant. Food is also good and hygienic. Recommended, if you're travelling solo or with friends or family!

I booked for a reservation months ago to celebrate the new years. I'm writing this to show how great of value the rooms are. The food was basic, not special. The bathroom was still fine but the geyser took long to get hot water. The water was still lukewarm. I'd say for the price, It isn't disappointing! The room Tv's are fine. The bed was comfy, offers a extra bed if your child is sleeping in the same room. It also has a rocking chair. Again, I'd say it wasn't disappointing for it's price! Rooms: 3.8/5

Hotel stufff so goood and well mannerd The Grand Majestic Hotel, nestled in the heart of the city, offers a blend of luxury and convenience. From the moment you step into the grand lobby, you're greeted with an ambiance of sophistication. The staff is exceptionally attentive, ensuring every need is met with a smile. The rooms are spacious and elegantly designed, with plush bedding and modern amenities. Each room boasts stunning views of the cityscape, providing a tranquil escape from the bustling streets below. The hotel's dining options are equally impressive, with a diverse menu that caters to every palate. Overall, the Grand Majestic Hotel delivers an unforgettable experience. Its prime location, impeccable service, and luxurious accommodations make it a top choice for both leisure and business travelers. I highly recommend it!

“Not Safe for Women – Unprofessional Staff Behavior” I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this hotel. The staff, some male members, were extremely unprofessional and made inappropriate attempts of fight, which made us feel unsafe throughout our stay, moreover this entire scene was created by the owner and the guy at the reception rather than finding a solution they were calling there friends and threatening us that they can kill us as we are in their territory. This place lacks basic respect and safety for female guests. I would strongly advise women—especially solo travelers—not to stay here. Safety should be a priority, and unfortunately, this hotel does not provide that. They even tried to push the women’s. There’s a lot more to describe but in short not at all recommended to stay here.

Hotel Tibet Dhasa is a beautiful and spacious hotel with comfortable rooms, excellent service and delicious Tibetan food. The only downside is that the waiters can be slow, but overall it's a great place to stay.
I just returned from a stay at Hotel Tibet, and I can’t stop raving about it! The location is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by majestic mountains that make you feel like you’re in a postcard. It’s conveniently close to local attractions but still feels like a peaceful retreat—a perfect balance. Now, let’s talk about the food. Oh my goodness, the restaurant is a gem! Every dish I tried was a flavor explosion. The momos were perfectly steamed and so satisfying, while the thukpa was the ultimate comfort food after a day of exploring. I found myself looking forward to every meal, and the complimentary breakfast was a great way to kick off my mornings with fresh, local ingredients. Overall, my experience at Hotel Tibet was truly special. The combination of stunning scenery and delicious food made my stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy more of those amazing dishes!

We stopped here for a meal and it was amazing! It's a small, airy, space with a balcony overlooking the mountains view. I ordered a Non-veg thali and it was enough for more than a person. Chilly chicken done right for my 4 year old. However, only one dish was a bit confusing for us - Chicken salad which ideally should have some salad and chicken but here it came as a shredded chicken with some sauce. Overall, positive experience. Will rate the rooms next time when I stay there!

If you want to enjoy authentic tibetan food in Mcleodganj, this is the best place to visit. Food is fairly priced and worth your money. They serve both veg and non veg. Must try their special thupka, chowmein and momo (both veg and non veg).

The hotel Tibet of McLeod was a pride and celebration of people of Dharamshala. Based on these glorious memory, I have invited some of our office guests for dinner. I was very disturbed by the service and quality of food of the hotel. It was such unpleasant experience and feel very bad front of guests. Especially, special Tibetan thali, worse and pathetic. The cost of each plate is Rs 400, that is quite expensive in town, but actual food worth is just Rs 200, moreover, Tingmo is stringing, soup is full of ajangmamoto, alo pingsha is watery, except rice, every items are worse. Wake up!!! Hotel Tibet management, don’t spoil the taste and reputation of the hotel.

The Tibet Restaurant is a wonderful choice for those who enjoy flavorful Asian cuisine. Their mutton momos are delicious, with tender, well-seasoned filling wrapped in perfectly steamed dough. A below average overall hotel experience, Great view of Dhauladhar Mountain Range from the room, Okay washrooms, Rooms were not up to the mark in terms of cleanliness, bedsheet etc. The garden is good. Construction isn't that old but the building condition looks very old and non maintained, rooms and balconies required a decent amount of repair work including the lights and electronics. The biggest negative points were the food and service there's just one person managing everything on the property, so basically he can't handle everything at all times. Ordered Food quantity was so less, there were literally 3-4 small pieces of paneer in matar paneer ki sabzi , tasting nothing like the actual dish. This was supposed to be enough for two people but for a single person as well it wasn't enough. Had to order 1.5 hours in advance because the person went and brought paneer etc. and cooked all by himself. Elders with walking/knees issues may have problems climbing countless stairs to reach the hotel. Upon checkout we were asked to give 5 star review by the same person which this property surely doesn't deserve considering the pathetic service and food. So kindly let customers decide whether to review or not.

We visit this hotel in the month of may end. A great place to stay. Staff is very cooperative and friendly. Especially Vijay, kamal and Kunal offered us very good services. Location is so cool that its in main market. Food is also nice.

Worst experience ever. We enquired at the hotel for parking and they informed that they will provide us parking at a near by hotel shivalik for free, they took payment from us and when we went for parking they offered me to park my Scorpio in a very small place (hatchback can hardly be parked because the road in front is also very narrow and is on slope) where my Scorpio suffered damages. When I asked for another parking or reimbursing me for another paid parking, I said "meri gadi ka bhi nuksaan hua hai", they were very rude and told me "wo to chue ga hi" . Neither they were appologetic about providing a space for hatchback to park an SUV, nor were they willing to welcome once tgey received payment. When I asked to return my payment as I no longer wish to park my vehicle and stay at their place. They said nothing can be done and they would not return money. In the rooms also bedsheets we're dirty and when we asked them to replace them, the person at the receptuon was utterly rude annd said, there are spots in all the bedsheets, even if we replace, it will have spots, they did not replace it. When I asked them to connect me to their senior or hotel owner, they connected me to the receptionist of another shift. They neither let me talk to any manager, both the receptionists we're very incosiderate and when we asked for any service, they said it's not their duty. When asked to connect to senior they kept calling the other receptionist. Worst management and worst experience ever. Never go to them, initially they will be good guys, once you pay them for rooms in advance, they are the worst.

We booked the property for 3 rooms as there were 3 families, hotel staff gave us separate rooms at different floors. This was the second time we stayed at Hotel Sapphire. Hotel was decent for the room size but overall experience was just on par - nothing fancy. Food quality is not that great but thanks to its location, you will find good options for brrakfast/lunch/dinner around it. Also, general store is just next door for chips, water, cold drinks etc. The best part about the room is the balcony size and the valley view. Good for sunset viewing. Prefer taking room on lower floors to avoid noise at the reception. Don't expect anything fancy, it just justify it room rate.

Location is good, right in the middle of McLeodganj market. Room and bathroom were clean. The only caveat here was the view outside balcony, you can see garbage which smells really bad. We needed a hotel on Sunday and all of the places were fully booked so we lived there anyway. We didn't have food here so can't comment on that. You can go here if you want a hotel in middle of market and don't care about view from your room.

Google Review (Reframed for Clarity & Impact) We stayed in Room 202, and the experience was quite disappointing. 1. Poor Room Conditions: The mattress was torn, and the blanket was visibly used and dirty. 2. Lack of Basic Amenities: No bottled water was provided, which is a basic expectation. 3. Denied First Aid in an Emergency: When we asked for first aid, we were given lame excuses like, “Wo to bhaiya nahi hain abhi, kab ayenge pata nahi…”—a serious concern in case of an actual emergency. 4. No Housekeeping on Consecutive Days: The room was not cleaned, and neither were the cheap-quality toiletries replaced. 5. Subpar Food Quality: Masala tea was nothing but flavored water, and the breakfast was stale and tasteless. 6. Deceptive Pricing Practices: They promised us a discount for extending our stay but later denied it at checkout, arguing with us. 7. Inconvenient Location: The hotel is located between McLeodganj and Dharamkot, making guests dependent on them for food. Taxis charge extra due to the difficult location. 8. Difficult Accessibility: One has to climb many huge stairs to reach the hotel, which gets exhausting. 9. Unprofessional Staff, Especially the Manager: While most of the staff was okayish, the manager (or some senior staff member) was extremely rude. 10. Unethical Billing & Aggressive Behavior: At checkout, they added ₹130 without explanation. Even after we paid to avoid conflict, the manager banged his QR stand on the reception desk, creating an unnecessary scene and leaving us with a bad experience. Final Verdict ❌ Not recommended. The manager is rude, quarrelsome, and harsh, making the overall experience uncomfortable. The poor service, deceptive pricing, and lack of basic hospitality make this a place to avoid.

Stay was decent at this place. The place offers great view of the hills, which makes up for all the other difficulty the place has to offer. Positive - Great view of the hills. Negative - Room service is poor with all basic amenities from bottled water, toiletry missing. Specially when you have to walk 1.5 km to fetch these basic items. - Food at the restaurant is sub par and should be avoided - Carrying your luggage to and fro is a big headache, as the hotel is stepply located and one has to walk through stairs.

1. We stayed in room 202, Mattress was torn, blanket was used+ dirty. 2. No bottled water was provided. 3. First aid (in emergency condition) was denied with lame excuses. "Wo to bhaiya nahi hain abhi, kab ayenge pata nahi.." 4. On the sec consecutive day, room was not cleaned and neither were toiletries (cheap toiletries) provided. 5. Masala Teas were just water. And breakfast appeared stale and were tasteless. 6. Promised us discount for extending our stay and at the checkout argued with us, and denied any discount. 7. Loaction is above Macleodganj and below Dharamkot, so one has to depend on them for food orders and everthing. Taxis charge extra for such hard location, being in middle of two places. 8. So many huge stairs one has to get down to reach hotel and then climb again, gets very tiring. 9. Staff was okish but some manager (some senior among them) was the rudest. 10. Fought with us for Rs. 170/- surge out of thin air. He didn't stop even when we paid him that extra 170/- to avoid conflict and pleaded not to spoil our trip experience at the checkout. He banged his QR-stand on his reception desk, after receiving that extra payment (actual bill was already settled with his staff) No one ever does this! Conclusion: It is definetly not a good place for family. Manager is too harsh, rude and quarrelsome.

Pretty serene view(day as well as night views are amazing) of the valley from the hotel with proper services. Waterfall is also visible from the hotel as it is located on top. Food was also good both quality and quantity wise. Proper room service. Accessibility can be an issue here, as it is around 10 m downside the road leaving stairs as the only way to take and around 1-2km from the main market. And streets do not have light so it is lil off at night if want to go outside. Other than this the place is amazing with breathtaking views.

Absolutely disgusting experience – avoid at all costs This place is a complete nightmare. From the moment you step into the property, it’s clear no one here cares about cleanliness or basic hospitality. The reception area in the morning was filthy, and it only got worse from there. The floors were so dirty I didn’t even feel comfortable placing my bag down. Outside our rooms, the area was scattered with cigarette butts, used towels, and empty water bottles — it looked like a dump. We had to repeatedly chase the staff to get it cleaned, and even then, it was done half-heartedly. We weren’t given our rooms on time and had to call the owner multiple times just to get a basic response. When we finally got the rooms, they were still disgustingly unclean. The so-called “cleaning” did nothing — the rooms and bathrooms reeked, the linens had stains, and there were no basic toiletries like soap or handwash. This place shouldn’t even be allowed to operate, let alone claim to be a hotel. The staff are shockingly rude, unhelpful, and indifferent to any issues raised. Booking this place was a huge mistake, and I strongly urge others to stay far, far away. It’s not worth the money, the stress, or the health risk.

I got last time injury on my leg (Leg fractured), and due to this I was not able to check-in hotel. Also, I have informed the same to customer care day for yesterday. Regarding this, I have talked to hotel staff that please rescheduled my booking or either refund my money back if 100% is not possible at least 50%. The hotel staff talked to me rudely, and he cut the call in very rude way. The hotel staff totally refuses to return my money back or rescheduled the booking. At least as human I accept some humanity to understand health condition.

No Power Back Up No Elevator This hotel is a cheat. I was travelling with my parents, both above 60 years in age. Listing on the website said that the hotel is having power backup and elevator is available. However there was no power backup and there was no electricity for 12 hours in our 40 hours stay. Also my parents had to climb up around 30 stairs each time they had to walk out of their rooms. On top of it the rooms were stinking and one of the wash basin was leaking.

The place is a scam. The reviews are all paid. You will realise it once you reach here. They have put fake photos of their place. Don't buy it. I don't understand how come they managed to get 4.4 rating. You won't be provided a locker neither a proper room, just a slab of ice in the name of mattress. Instant regret. To be honest, from the property you won’t find any breathtaking views but the vibes which you get are unmatchable. I went there for two days and end up staying there for a week. The property manager Ashwini and the chef aka Steve both are amazing, friendly and welcoming, it was amazing interacting with them and listening to their life and travel stories. Steve made us eat some yummy local delicious food and he is an amazing cook. I have stayed at dormitories and they were so clean, comfortable with 24 hours hot water which was mandatory as I went there during the winter season. Overall it was an amazing experience staying at this property. The good part is that it is next to the main road so you don’t need to hike to reach it.

I'm traveling alone and it's always nice to meet good people on the road. I've really never felt that welcomed at any hostel before! Nish is an amazing person with the kindest heart and I got way more than what I paid for. Tips, cooking class, nights out, attractions, there is nothing he doesn't know about! Thanks for everything, hope to come back!

Loved this hostel. The vibes are unmatched, the hosts are the best part of the place. Vishal and Steve are amazing, feels like you are at home with nothing to worry about. Enjoyed my sweet stay there with some amazing experience. Will visit this place soon again.

They need maintenance and everything is fine. Their owner Nishant was very cooperative and helpful. Perfect place for bachelors. Hand Wash could be provided in the washroom. The washroom needs to be dried rather than wet and the whole hostel needs maintenance as paint is somehow coming. Rest rooms are cleaned daily.

I was there for 4 days with my 5 friends. This the best place to chill out with your gang. We have a great time over there. Tasty food...Specially parntha . yummiest one. Clean dorms and washrooms. Had a great stay at Hotel Akash Deep. The rooms were neat and tidy, food was fresh and full of flavor, and the overall service was very efficient. Hotel Akash Deep truly impressed me with its overall quality and hospitality. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-organized, creating a comfortable environment throughout my stay. I don’t usually write reviews, but this hotel deserves a special mention for how terrible everything was. First of all, they charged us extra for every single food item we ordered. We clearly ordered a quantity of 2, but the bill would always show 4 or 5 portions. Complete scam! The washroom was in a disgusting condition – smelly, dirty, and barely usable. The geyser didn’t work at all, and we ended up wasting our entire stay waiting for someone to come and fix it. Even after repeated complaints, no proper action was taken. It was just delay after delay. The service? Absolutely pathetic. The staff behaved like they were doing us a favor just by talking to us. Rude, unprofessional, and totally untrained. Honestly, their behavior was worse than street-level goons – truly “sadak chap” service. I would strongly advise everyone to stay far away from this place unless you want your vacation or trip completely ruined.

Hotel Akash Deep offers a great combination of comfort, cleanliness, and service. The housekeeping was on point, and the food was delicious with good variety. Will definitely choose this place again.

When visiting Kunga Guest House the second time, guests were drawn to its spacious rooms, scenic view from the balcony, and good food at nominal prices. The staff was kind and cordial.
I love staying at Kunga - wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in McLeod Ganj. I stayed for several weeks recently because it was so comfortable - it really felt like home. It was calm and peaceful and this was because of the caring staff. I felt really looked after. The bed was the best in India - which made getting up in the morning difficult! But when I did, I just had to walk downstairs for my delicious breakfast - I miss the veg paranthas :( I do hope I’ll be back asap. Thank you, lovely Kunga people!

It was too central so that I couldnt sleep from the noises coming from the street. I am a light sleeper and my room (305) had one window opening to the main road, other window opening to a wall. The windows were not good to isolate the sound so I woke up every time somebody even talked a bit loudly. If you are not a light sleeper it could be a good place for you, it was clean and hot water was okey for having a shower. It was also very central.

I cannot love this place more. We had a very spacial room with the most amazing view. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The linen was very clean with a pleasant fragrant which is very important to me. As to the food and staff I can say you will be in the best hands. Lovely breakfast sets ( the curd is so creamy) and a blueberry cheesecake is a must. Perfect plays to read and chill.

Mountain and Moon in Dharamkot offers comfortable accommodations with private balconies that provide breathtaking mountain views. The property features a 24-hour front desk and a cozy sitting area, making it popular among tourists seeking leisure or work stays. Situated at Dharamkot Hill Top, the hotel boasts clean rooms with wiper-equipped bathrooms and laundry facilities. While elderly guests may find the steep stairs challenging, the friendly staff and hot showers create a homely atmosphere.
Everything was really good. Very cheap price for what you get, right in the middle of Dharamkot. Water is always hot and it’s in a quiet area. Owner is extremely polite, helped me a lot with my requests and questions and also upgraded my room for a bigger one and with better view. He also let me stay for free until afternoon in different room to work on the day of my checkout. Would stay here again for sure!

Stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveller. Located in the quiet area of Dharamkot and close to many cafes and eateries. There is also a lovely shopping strip nearby. Walkable to the Vipassana and Tushita centre. Bed was super comfortable and hot water available. The owner and his brother were very helpful. You can hear conversations being had in the hallway but I've come to expect that generally now in India. Conversations may be very loud if your room is located near the entrance. Happy with the price paid.

Mountain & Moon was my home for more than a month and I can only say good things about it. Hands down the best accommodation (in these price ranges) I've found during months in India. At some point I was lucky to meet the owner, who showed to be a very nice person. Especial mention to Gaurav, main staff member. Always smiling and welcoming, he made everyday a bit better every time I saw him. If you read this: I miss you, mate! Hope to come back next season!

Gourav and his brother were super helpful and kind. My flight was cancelled last minute and they graciously made last minute accommodations for me. As a foreign, solo, female traveller I felt safe and looked after. Mountain and Moon is a very special place and I can’t wait to return.

Great room and staff. You can't get a taxi directly to the accommodation but the staff will meet you and help with bags. Well located with lots of cafes close by
Tomos H — Google review
Location wise, you’re not far from several coffee shops, and restaurants but unfortunately this is about the only positive I can give this place. The room is quite cheap but in return we had people playing loud music at 8 in the morning two rooms down as well as a dirty room (dust and dirt everywhere). The sheets were dirty with stains and dirt on the bed. A bit of a grim place… however, the staff there were friendly and polite. Also, there was readily available hot water which was a plus. If you get the chance of having a clean room, then for the price, it would be well worth it.

Best services. They gave me a chai welcome drink. When I needed to leave, they helped me with the bus schedule. They were making sure I had everything I needed. Little video of the room and the sunrise from the balcony. Thank you ji 🙏

Rooms: 4.7/5 The hotel is so beautiful, the rooms are so gorgeous. Stayed at this hotel twice and the second time stayed for 1 more day. When the first time I went in my room (202 maybe 302 don't remember perfectly), I liked it. The problem with this hotel is that none of the mini fridges work, hotel seems understaffed. When the second time we went to this hotel (302) for 2 days, the mini fridge didn't work and the WI-FI is horrible here. The service was understaffed but was kind. The Rooms are GOREGEOUS. The bathroom in 302 is fine. It's small but with the shower, It wasn't giving hot water AND the handheld shower head wasn't connected. The shower place can only fit one person. The washroom is still good and ok in 302. Later, we stayed for 1 more day in 202 and the bedside table was short. The beds were surprisingly comfy (slept in under 5 minutes while it takes me 1-2 hrs to sleep). If there's a third person sleeping in the same room, they have an extra bed with a stand that lifts the bed off the floor. The location is ok, on top of a hill, don't mind it. In 202, it didn't have a mini fridge but the tvs in the room were actually good unlike other hotels. Atleast this hotel's room are spacious unlike other hotels I've seen... The washroom in 202 is actually good! It has a shower head, everything is fine but the toilet is too lowered down, giving an uncomfortable position. Actually, The hotel is amazing for it's price and is actually beautiful! Has a beautiful balcony also! Rate this 4.7/5, amazing for the value and rooms. (Forgot to mention it also had a study table and many space and drawers to keep your stuff. The eating table has beautiful chairs)

The Horizon Villa is a charming accommodation with a colonial-style interior and stunning views of the mountains and valleys. This unique boutique property seamlessly blends traditional architecture with modern amenities, offering complete privacy in a cozy setting surrounded by lush greenery. The spacious rooms are well-maintained, although some minor issues like water leakage in one of the bathrooms were noted. The villa's proximity to McLeodganj's main market and temple makes it an ideal location for exploring the area.
Great place to stay and unwind. Very close to the Main Temple of McLeodganj. Our vehicle could easily go to their main gate and the walk was fine for my family, including senior citizen parents. Very good staff and the best view of the valley from the room itself. If you want to get a luxury stay at a great price for a once in a lifetime experience, this is highly recommended. For us, this was a big highlight during our time at Dharamshala.

So I recently got a chance to visit this property with my friends – here is my honest opinion with respect to property, it might help you. Here are some positives – • The view is spectacular along with location • The property is beautiful with its interiors . • One of the room is large with other two rooms smaller in size. Here are some negatives – • The property is less maintained and the helpers provided were too lazy to clean it despite asking them several time. • Food facilities were not upto the mark at all, many a times we had to cook ourselves to avoid eating food by them. • They were running out of basic supplies – eg- milk. Every single day we had to instruct them to bring milk for making chai. We had stay for 5 days despite that we had to tell them to bring milk for chai. • Internet Sucks • Untrained – semi skilled staff. • The best of all- you keep calling the central booking team – they will reply for sure , but don’t provide any solution. • The central team sitting somewhere in Mumbai or Delhi doesn’t believe if we raise a concern. So think before you book this property.

The place is walking distance from the Dalai Lama temple with a view that'll leave you in awe, you wouldn't wanna leave. The staff is extremely helpful and prompt, they make great food at the property, very hard to forget those aloo ke parathe + chai + the view. Definitely recommend this stay over 5 star hotels as well.

Stayed at stone hill manor in Mcleodganj. A very basic property situated 1 km away from the mall road on a very dark and secluded road. Photos are very illusive which makes us feel like this is a very modern bungalow with outside garden seating. The reality is very distant. This is an old bungalow abandoned by the owners. Also, they have 3 bedrooms each on 1st and ground floor and stayvista just gives you the 1st floor in rental. The ground floor is with some other agency. Now, coming to the interiors of the flat. Most walls have owner's family pictures hanging. 2 rooms have old big box style tv which is unimaginable and 1 room has a cheap "Intex" led TV which doesn't work properly. Bathrooms are very basic. Tiles are old, shower head is cheap 50/- plastic cap, comod doesn't have health faucet. Clothes drying rack in the balcony is completely broken, so there is no way left to dry your clothes. The Kitchen is very basic as well and has cocroaches roaming around on all things all night long. The only good things about the property are the view from front balcony and 2 member staff. And they charges us 17,000 per night for this small, old flat. I believe that If stayvista manages properties like these by making them look good unrealistically, I would never recommend their brand to anyone.

This is a 3 star rated property at mmt which do not deserve to be a hotel even. In this property there are three rooms on 1st floor which is called as horizon villa south which is mmt assured too and 3 upstairs rooms are named as horizon villa north. I am surprised on what grounds mmt has rated it as 3 star hotel and given tag of mmt assured too while this hotel do not have continued power supply. See the long list of issues i faced: 1- There were no basic toiletries provided. 2- There is no power backup available in the property. I have to stay there for hours with no lights in room. Power was interrupted for hours numerous times during my stay there. I have to delay my plans one morning as there was no hot water available due to no power. Phone in room do not work without power and i have to come out of room to talk to staff. 3- This is not a hotel just a 3 room house managed by a care taker. 4- There was no one available to attend us any time. Phone Calls to kitchen and staff room were never answered. I have to step out of my room and search for the care taker for any request. 5- linens, blankets and bedsheets given were very old, dirty, stinking and torn out. It was hard to use them due to bad smell. 6- Room furniture, interior, foot mat every thing was dirty and in very bad condition. 7 - There was no room service asked/ provider during these 2 day stay there. 8- There was no security or guard at the property and there was renovation going on so labour were roaming all around which made it more unsafe. My stay with the hotel was extremely unpleasant and i felt like cheated to get this kind of room and service after paying 4k for a night. I nearly tortured during these 2 days because of such a bad stay experience.

We were a group of 8 people and we stayed for 3 nights at this property. First of all its location is spot on and in close proximity to the lively main market of mcleodganj. Rooms are spacious and cleanliness was well taken care of. But one of the washrooms had leakage problem with water spilling near the toilet seat. Further, only one room was having LCD tv whereas the other two rooms were having extremely old style Tv which were very difficult to operate. The host should take care of above points. The caretakers Anuj and Arjun were very helpful and kind. All in all the property is good and would recommend it.

Beautiful, quiet hotel, far from the crowded lanes, behind the Dalai Lama temple and quarters. Total value for money. We got the master bedroom, which had breathtaking view of the valley, and you can see the beautiful sunset from your room, sipping your coffee.no need to visit the sunset point. Staff co operative and polite.
Ravi K — Google review
Great view and a typicall home stay property which is well maintained. The only problem was tbey tried to fleece us by over charging on the food and not making it clear to us that we could have used the left over food for the next meal so when i ended up paying a huge food bill we were dissapointed. Also they charge a lot for food almost equivalent to mumbai A grade restaurant. That however was our fault cause we should have checked the menu . One of the reasons you stay at a homestay is cause you want home cooked decent food at a reasonable price so if that is imp to you i suggest you stay elsewhere.

It is the best hotel in McLeod (if you're not looking for something fancy) Small, cozy rooms with great valley view. Prices are very economical. Staff is extremely courteous. Restaurant is pretty decent, with outdoor seating overlooking the valley. Best part about the hotel, it's location! Very near to the main market, yet away enough to not be noisy.

Comfortable, clean, well equiped and spacious rooms. Fantastic views from west facing balconies. Excellent breakfast which can be taken on terrace overlooking the valley. Central location. Access is via a short but steep and rather unpleasant back alley which can be off putting when you first arrive. Don't worry about it.

Spacious rooms (suite), great value for money and a lovely view. The approach to the hotel is a narrow not-very-clean street and there is no access for a car. But if you persevere, the hotel itself is like an oasis in the middle of very busy McLeod Ganj. Make sure you choose valley-facing rooms.

A great place to stay in McLeodganj. The rooms are clean and comfy. And the bathrooms are great. It’s very central, right off the main market area. If you get a valley facing room, you have a terrific view to enjoy. Picture attached. The cafe has a simple but good selection of Indian/Tibetan food. But Serkong House is also really close to lots of great eating places in the market. The rooms are very value for money and one of the best places you can choose to stay.

All the arrangements was excellent, Food stay trekking transport was well arranged. Guides are very humble and friendly experienced a good trekking and I really appreciate the team who makes our vacation more joyful and adventures then expected . A Favorite. Kareri Lodge is small, friendly, nice, and has a great location. I stay here a lot because they take reservations. A note--the location on Google Maps is deceptive as the entrance is not on Temple road but Hotel Bhagsu Road. It's the middle road going up by the government tourist agency.

This is great place to stay... very economical and rooms are not so exotic but 10 star for the view from the window. No breakfast facility is available, only tea is available on request. The owner is very polite and friendly.

I have been visiting this place since 1997. It may not be the newest or most modern option in Mcleodganj BUT; 1. Located in the BEST spot in Mcleodganj !!! 2. The rooms are spacious and clean! 3. The staff is A M A Z I N G! Desso and Kundan are pure diamonds! 4. The owner Ram Swaroop is trustworthy - knowledgeable -interesting and is capable of organizing any tour you have in mind. 5. The rooms offer unmatched views of Namgyal Monastery as well as Dharamsala. 6. It is genuinely a home away from home! 7. and last but not least: "you can checkout any time you want...but you can never leave" :-)

It's exactly Opposite to u see in pictures. Very Dirty hotel , surrounding is all garbage only. Take mosquito net or bat with you if u want to book here. Dirty bathroom. Staff very rood . Location horribly. Very small one way road to reach. Half of us picnic time u waste to reach here.Inspite of decided they didn't give us upper rooms. Old aged patient was with us. They gave us lower 3 rd floor rooms. Very unsafety for children. For Families kindly cancel ur booking n look for another option what I did on 26 th April 2024

My friend and I spent a day with our family in this hotel. Hotel services are very bad. Staff behavior changes after booking. The rooms are just good. Hotel staff tries to mislead customers.
Ashish J — Google review
The rooms and washrooms are absolutely clean, the service is remarkable. Loved my experience, all the staff members are extremely cooperative and I truly enjoyed my stay. Was treated in a friendly manner throughout. Nothing less than a family feeling, with mind blowing views, the food was simply delicious. Sure to visit every time I visit Mcleod. Thank you Hotel Pine Spring for taking good care of me, I hope to you'll soon. Best stay and I highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff was extremely polite, and helped us in every way they could. The rooms and the kind of facilities The hotel is located in Pine trees and the area outside is much quieter. The room service was prompt. all the basic amenities, the hotel lives up to its brand.

Stayed here in late Oct 2019. Hotel has nice views of mountains. Room I was given plain, drap not as nice as photos. Floor was not completely finished concrete showing, furniture old cheap. Mattress thin, no heat. Green colored inside flourescent light yuk. No top sheet or duave came in my room just bare blanket. I don't understand why hotels still on this old unhygienic way . I had to ask for missing stuff in room and food be made which Prince acknowledged would be taken care of but never came and I had to chase down staff to get stuff. Also I was told by Prince he would transfer to better room for me but this never happened. When I made reservation I notified hotel that I was coming around midnight and was told that I be greeted. When I arrived place dark and nobody at reception I had to chase down Prince and resident helped me to find right phone number to call. Prince is a nice guy, friendly but a aloof flakey. Location is fair as you have to go up a very long-steep flight of stairs to reach town. The hotel has large sign "Hotel Pine Springs" and tiny sign Guru Kripa" Goggle maps reconizes as OYO 29120 Hotel Pine Springs. There is a Guru Kripa Guest house in different location which could confuse things. Conclusion functional hotel but got drap room. The manager was unreliable, location fair. I don't recommend.

Located up a flight of stairs off the main road in McLeodganj, this guest house offers spacious, clean rooms with great views. It's run by Tibetan people and is popular with tourists thanks to its location and reasonable prices. There is parking available on site.
I found this place 8 years ago and since then I never stayed anywhere else. I love this place the way they run it.

Rooms are best. The outside view is awesome. Rooms are cheap and best. I suggest you visit here.
Navish S — Google review
The room was absolutely terrible. It was not in a good condition at all, super dirty and bugs. The bed sheet even had a large yellow stain which i asked them to change. I found a small piece of a nail on the pillow, and a cigarette butt on the floor after they "cleaned". The staff are also quite rude. Very pushy, ignore your request, and have quite an attitude. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Farah J — Google review
Stayed in this guest house last week, nice and clean place. Drinking water is available also. Genuine price for one night stay. Beautiful view from the terrace, two minutes walking distance from parking. Highly recommended
Rohit M — Google review
We stayed in this guest house in July 2005, the room we chose was on the upper side, which was great for views around and access to their restaurant but it took us long to reach to the room especially with backpacks on shoulders. Quite an exercise. The food was homely and tasty. The seating in restaurant was on cushions and comfortable. We later visited Mcleodganj in 2014 but did not have strength to stay here again..
Rajat D — Google review
Good place located on the Mall road itself. It's only good for views though. Everything else is just ok. You'll only get basic facilities at this place. But the views of Dhauladhar Range is Breathtaking. Somewhere you can go when you've no other place to stay at 😛 Otherwise you're better of with some other place with good view and comfortable Bed etc.

Economical stay for group. Blankets were not soo good. Host was a very nice guy. Working geysers. Nice place to stay in Mcleodganj as it is nearby to taxi stand and many other shops

Nestled in the serene surroundings of McLeod Ganj, OM Hotel is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable experience for travelers seeking comfort and value. While it may not be widely recognized due to its location, the hotel boasts one of the most stunning sunset views from its rooftop terrace. This Tibetan-owned establishment features cozy rooms that are both clean and well-maintained, making it a favorite among midrange travelers and small groups alike.
A hidden place but it has everything you need including amazing food. Emphasis on very popular pizzas. Highly recommend
Eyal H — Google review
Came during GCM final 2023 June. OM hotel has good range of hotel for booking and underground you will get Tibetan restaurant which is advantage for easy ordering. I gave the room price as 700/- Rs with neat room and good view. 🌁 What we need more than that! Highly go for it if u r looking for it. For bike and two wheeler, park ur wheelie outside room earlier possible so u don’t have to search and park on hard way 🙌 This time wrote my feelings like essay 😇😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😄

This is my first time to Om restaurant. The food here is super delicious! And the price are reasonable. I recommend the Walnuts Pizza and chicken burger. This restaurant has very clean environment. And you can enjoy the nice views with your food. I definitely will come here again and again. By the way the ginger honey lemon tea tastes so good.

This is by far the best hotel for the money you can get in McLeod Ganj. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room rate is excellent value for what you get. The location is perfect, centrally located and also off an alley behind the main square so it is quieter. It has a great cafe and the views from this hotel can't be beat. Bring your own towels though, they don't provide them.

Tibetan OM hotel located near main market as shown on the Google map. A Very nice and beautiful viewed place for pizza and lunch and dinner with limited food. Awesome taste of pizza but services are lacking and not updating as been hour of waiting as chef forgot to make our pizza meat feast and you can see restaurant is not even full.
Tenzin T — Google review
We just love this pizza restaurant and we went several times while we’re staying at Mcleod ganj. Once when we were having dinner at the restaurant, the small boy came out to our table( maybe owner’s son?) and he wanted to play with us but we’re having pizza! So we said to him that let’s play after finish our dinner. He angry us and spit on my jacket. He screw up our dinner.

A great place for such price! Simple rooms but have everything one needs. Nice view and great restaurant. Sometimes the staff does not have too much time for any extra service but its ok as they look always busy. We stayed for a week and it was a great experience given price of 450 rupees per night. They also have a great roof top for yoga or whatever else and are located in a quite area very close to main square!

Loseling Guest House is a cheap guest house in central McLeod Ganj that offers clean rooms with hot shower, and three rooftop options that are easily the best in town. Guests can also enjoy good location and a great price. The guesthouse's room wifi worked well during my stay. Unfortunately, I got sick with a leg infection and the staff was very helpful when I was ill.
The guest house is clean and the WIFI works great. You can practice your Tibetan with friendly Tibetan guests and Tibetan monks. Fun and positive monks run the guest house will provide you a great service with wonderful smile. The most important thing is that I felt like home away from home. I will definitely come back again.

The best to stay in McLeod Ganj, I am always staying there on the roof top rooms, great mountain views, amazing sunrises, pleasant personal and humble fundraising for the monastery, hot showers, great price, the best location. Can be quite cold at nights, but even though highly recommended.

Loseling has a lot to like about it: great location and a great price. I doubt you'll find a cheaper place in central McLeod Ganj. The room wifi worked well. I stayed in Loseling for several weeks in October. Unfortunately I got sick with a leg infection. The staff was very helpful when I was sick. Eventually I checked out to go to Delhi and the hospital there. The staff booked me a cab, carried my bags to the taxi, and smilingly refused a small tip. I am grateful for their help.

Managed by a warm and accommodating family, they ensure a wonderful experience for their guests. The property provides comfortable and spacious rooms with the option of enjoying delicious home-cooked meals. Guests can also enjoy breathtaking sunsets and peaceful surroundings.
Our stay at Naddi Castle was absolutely delightful! The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property itself is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery – truly a sight to behold! The castle’s design and ambiance were perfect, blending comfort with charm, and every corner was impeccably maintained. Whether it was sipping tea while watching the sunrise or enjoying the serenity of the location, Naddi Castle was a perfect retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Naddi castle , and I can't recommend it highly enough! Kartik sir was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. My room was spotless and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy retreat with stunning views. The dining experience was a true highlight. I particularly loved the breakfast and dinner buffet . For breakfast there was a great variety of fresh options, and the coffee was outstanding—definitely one of the best I've had! Located conveniently near major attractions, Naddi castle made it easy to explore the area. Overall, my experience was exceptional, and I can't wait to return!

Such a great stay nestled between incredible views of the Dhauladhar range and Mcleodganj and Dharamshala valley. It's in Naddi, and probably the most beautiful place I've ever stayed at. The host uncle and everybody else at the stay is super nice and their delicious home cooked food will feed your soul ❤️

Had the best stay at Naddi castle! The rooms and views are insane! The hospitality is the best that we have ever experienced! Should definitely stay at Naddi Castle if visiting the area!
Disha S — Google review
This is for physically fit traveller's perched at a height , a climb of ragged 60-70 stairs. The view from the room is beautiful, snow capped mountains, sunset, greenery, a wild and unhindered view. Some negatives-not much to do after dark, no TV. Food served from a restaurant on prior order. Basic kitchenette available in the room. Suitable only if you wish to have a quiet time away from crowds. Host was always eager to assist especially with the luggage. A homestay.
Samita D — Google review
This was my very first experience of a homestay & believe me it was the best one. The host is a very decent guy & helps in every possible way he can if in need. The place is situated at a perfect spot, starting the day with the beautiful dhauladhar mountain ranges and ending up with a peaceful sunset. The calmness there has a voice which feels like it is embracing your presence there. Climbing up 75 steps is nothing in front of the soothing serenity that awaits you. I still regret that i booked the property for just one night 🥲. Shivam is so calm and composed as the place is, with a smile on his face anytime. My parents and i were so tired due to travelling but were refreshed as we woke up to such a breathtaking view. If you're looking out/planning to book this property, believe me don't give it a second thought and go for it.
Utsav A — Google review
I had a wonderful time at Naddi castle. Kartik and family were very helpful and sometimes went out of the way to help me. I was traveling solo for the first time, they made me feel welcome and safe. They are easily approachable and always answer all the queries no matter how small. View is amazing. There are not many food restaurants at walkable distance, but food delivery from restaurants is an option. Another option is having food from the family, which I did and enjoyed the home cooked meals. I would recommend it!!
Smita P — Google review
A beautiful property amidst nature. You will get a perfect view of Dauladhar range here. Rooms are basic and comfortable. Care taker Kartik is very supportive and is always willing to guide as needed. You definitely need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the property but trust me it would all be worth it. The only drawback (which the location of the property would overcome) there is no restaurant facility. You would need to go a minimum of 700-900 m to have your meals. There are some restaurants that would do room delivery though. All in all an amazing property and highly recommended for those who would appreciate to be away from the crowd.
