Definitely THE museum to check out in Gdansk, it documents the history of the Solidarnosc movement that led to the end of communism and the splintering of the Soviet Union. There's a brilliant audio guide that gives detailed information and leads you through the exhibitions in either 1.5 or 2.5hrs, your choice. The variety of exhibits and the timeline they document is stunning, extremely interior and so well presented. There's also a free viewing platform on the roof of the building. Definitely don't skip this museum!

Fantastic museum! The permanent exhibition is excellent and very well laid out and informative. The audio guide is included in the price and again was very good. The museum is situated right at the heart of where the Solidarity movement started and holds such a vital piece of history in Europe. A must see attraction!

Fascinating museum in a great building. Although I remember seeing the events on TV of Solidarnosc and martial law, this was a really interesting wider look at the power of protest and organisation and the huge impact of the events in Poland on the decline and disintegration of the Soviet bloc. The audio guide, included in the ticket, really helps. We had to rush through some parts as we were time limited but could easily have spent 2-3 hours here.

One of the best museums I have ever been to. Well worth it. Very informative. Normally can't be bothered with the Audio guide but gave it a go and well worth it. 2 hours well spent. Also learnt a lot in a topic I thought I knew quite a bit on. Well done A cool venue aswell. Looks like they do events there which would be a nice setting. Also the library is very nice

Fantastic museum! Holds a very powerful story, not just for Poland but for all of the democratic world. Other than the story and history, the architecture and build of the museum is sturdy with an industrial structure. I loved how you are encouraged to touch everything, different to other museums where you have to be extra careful. Be sure to take the official picture by Gate 2, where the solidarity movement exited the shipyard.

Very beautiful, new and interactive museum. It’s sad because the history wasn’t so good but it’s definitely worth visiting. Everyone should visit this museum while you’re in the Gdansk. You will get to choose from the 2 audio guides 1.5 and 2.5 hour one. We choosed the 1.5 hour one and we were there for 3 hours. Also I personally recommend buying tickets in the advance so you be don’t need to wait a long line for buying tickets.

This is a place of hope, freedom and peace. This story stays for all people for all times, simply for mankind. It gives everybody hope who suffers under injustice authorities, despotism and inhumanity. It show the way of unarmed movements getting millions of people aligned on the way to democracy, pluralism and equality. I believe in that these goals aren’t only limited to a few percentage of our global population. Showing the today world of instabile young democracies it is of absolute importance to defend our existing achievements. It will also help and guide future generations to set-up even more stable democratic systems, wherever and whenever.

We absolutely loved our visit to the zoo! It was a big place with so many animals to see – elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, monkeys, parrots, little mice, lynxes, kangaroos, and even wolves! Some of them were hiding, which was a bit disappointing, but it was still amazing to see so many different animals up close. It felt like a real adventure! We finished the day with some tasty ice cream – a perfect ending to a fun and exciting trip.

I visited the Gdańsk Zoo today and it was a fantastic experience. The whole place feels more like a national park than a typical zoo – spacious, green, and very well maintained. The animals look healthy and well cared for. I recommend going in the morning, when it’s feeding time, as many animals are active and easy to see up close. Overall, one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to!

Me and my family enjoyed this zoo very much. We went here for 2-3 hours and we easily checked all the animals, there were a little mountainous areas but it wasn’t necessarily hard to climb. Lions, elephants, monkeys, birds, seals… All kind of animals are in this zoo. And they have a lot of space to live in. Tickets were not expensive 45zł (+-10,7€) per person. I highly recommed visit this zoo if you are visiting Gdansk.

I left with very mixed feelings after my visit. Some animals looked healthy and well cared for, while others seemed tired and not in the best condition. The bird house in particular felt quite sad and really touched me. At the same time, the staff were very kind and it was clear they truly care about the animals. Still, this is one of the largest zoos I have ever visited, and I even discovered a few animal species I had never seen before.

We visited Gdańsk Zoo during our trip to northern Poland, and it turned out to be a memorable stop on our itinerary. It is in the leafy Oliwa district, the zoo is huge—over 120 hectares!—so be prepared for a lot of waddling. The setting is scenic and peaceful, making it a lovely way to spend the day surrounded by nature. Getting there was pretty easy using public transport. We took bus 179 directly from the central station—affordable and efficient. Just remember to validate your ticket! The zoo itself is home to an impressive range of animals, but the star of the show is undoubtedly Kokosanka, the world's only albino African penguin in captivity. She's become quite the celebrity and was the clear highlight of our visit. Her exhibit, like others in the zoo, includes educational signage and is thoughtfully maintained. We also enjoyed the indoor tropical house, which has a fascinating mix of birds and reptiles. Outdoors, we saw everything from Amur tigers to mandrills, camels, and zebras; although some animals were hard to spot in their spacious enclosures, binoculars would have been a smart addition! Facilities are decent, with a few food stalls and plenty of toilets, though dining options felt limited for a zoo of this size. Also, keep some cash handy, especially for souvenir stands. A few things to note: The zoo's size makes it ideal for a full-day outing, but it's not great if you're short on time or mobility. While we appreciated the space for animals, the design sometimes made it tricky actually to see them. Some areas of the zoo appear somewhat outdated in their layout. Still, it's an excellent family-friendly attraction and offers a mix of wildlife education and outdoor adventure. We'd recommend it—just come prepared (water, snacks, walking shoes, and binoculars)!

Really massive and nice zoo. One of the best zoos I've been to in Europe. The entire zoo was so clean and orderly. The animals seem to be doing well. So many toilets and cafes around the park which is really handy. Things they can do better: -Hopefully the maned wolf gets more hiding areas outside so it likes spending time outside more than inside his indoor enclosure. -They had an Asian and African elephant together in one enclosure which isn't bad but I'd hope their enclosure would be a bit bigger. -The Philippines spotted deer seemed to have stereotypical behaviour and it was alone. I'm not sure if it had company indoors or not? -Their Burmese python had a red light bulb which seemed a bit weird as every other reptile enclosure had amazing light fixtures and heat lamps. Don't know if this was temporary or not? -Their Bactrian Camel sign said they were wild Bactrian camels but the scientific name said "bactrianus" and not "ferus". - an easy mistake. -Wish we could see the indoors for the binturong and serval as well. Overall a great zoo. I'm impressed by the size and cleanliness of all the enclosures. The animals were easily spotted. A lot of signs were educational and talked about conservation. The Zookeepers were always doing something for the animals which was so nice to see. Definitely recommend!

Was a lovely day to come visit, wasn't too overcrowded and it was easy to see everything you wanted to see Do think the buffet restaurant was overpriced for what was on offer and also having to pay extra so the kids could play in a certain area of the zoo is a scam in my opinion Would come back again and do things differently, the price for a family ticket is very good value for money considering in the UK, it's the price you'd pay for a single adult!

While the church is impressive from the outside and historically significant, the interior felt quite plain and underwhelming. There are a few interesting elements, like the astronomical clock and some old tombstones, but overall it lacks the detail you might expect from such a large structure.

Great free church in the centre. The place has an amazing astronomical clock which chimes at 12 pm every day. The church is very busy during this period. There is also a tower with 400 steps, giving panoramic views of the city for a fee.

St. Mary’s Church is truly breathtaking. Every corner hides incredible details, and the architecture inspires awe. It feels less like a building and more like a masterpiece carved out of history.

This building is beautiful both externally and internally. I would caution taking the spiral staircase (it cost £4). The first 100 spiral steps are long, low and very narrow - and without a handrail, so it feels quite dangerous especially if busy. There are limited places for a rest or passing. The last 300 or so steps are much safer. If you do you reach the top, you are rewarded with excellent views over Gdansk and out to the Baltic Sea. I'd strongly recommend installing handrails as a minimum for safety - I'd visit the building again but not climb the stairs. "Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Spectacular piece of Polish history, must go to place when visiting Gdańsk! Don’t miss the beautiful organs with beautiful ornaments. Climbing the tower is a bit of a struggle however totally worth it! The views for the old town and the city is incredible 🫶

Impressive biggest brick-basilica in Europe. The ascension the 400 steps to the top of the tower is marvelous, and the view from above is stunning.

We visited in the evening when it was almost empty, so we didn't wait a minute to be seated. It cost us around 10€ per ticket. We enjoyed the view for maybe 25 minutes. You can see a very nice sunset from there.

If possible, try to time your visit to catch the sunset – it's breathtaking! The city lights up beautifully afterward, offering a unique perspective. Highly recommend adding the AmberSky to your itinerary!"

Fine overview of the city for what is in my opinion an absolute scam price. The lady at the ticket booth was a little rude. The ride is 3 full circles and takes about 15 minutes, so if you have some extra cash and a little bit of time to spare, go for it

Only waited for a few minutes after buying our tickets. Ferris wheel isn't very big but still nice. Loved the AC inside! Nice views of the city. A 15 min ride, about 5 revolutions around the wheel.

We’re so glad we finally decided to ride the AmberSky Ferris Wheel in Gdańsk! After walking past it multiple times during our trip, we had initially planned to climb the cathedral tower for city views, but when that didn’t pan out, we circled back to AmberSky on our last day. And honestly, it was the perfect way to wrap up our visit. The ride was smooth and peaceful, with multiple rotations that gave us plenty of time to soak in the panoramic views. As we slowly rose above the city, we could see Gdańsk’s colorful rooftops, the iconic Crane on the Motława River, gothic church spires, and even the distant Hel Peninsula on the horizon. The cabins were clean, quiet, and climate-controlled, so we didn’t have to worry about the weather at all. Located right across the river from Old Town, it was easy to reach by foot, and there was hardly any wait when we arrived. We recommend going near sunset or after dark if you want to see the city lights, it adds a magical touch. While some might find the ticket price a bit steep, we felt it was worth it for the comfort, convenience, and unforgettable views.

The Ferris wheel itself is a great idea, and the air-conditioned cabins give you an amazing view over the city. In my opinion, though, it’s a bit pricey. Plus, with a construction pit right behind the wheel, the smell can get… let’s just say festival vibes – like a sewage pit behind a row of Dixi toilets at Wacken.

A very joyful and interactive for child up to 5-15 years old. Also many well known Physical experiments and new learning for children. May be 5 percent of devices did not work but I think it is acceptable.

Absolutely loved it! We visited with 7 year old, and he loved it, it was fun and interesting for both kids and adults. Its also just behind the train station so it super close to town. I think it was cheap for the experience you get. Love it.

Very nice plane to visit while in Gdansk especially with children, we watched dinosaurs movie. Check on official web the agenda but use polish version as not all is published in English version.

Great interactive and educational stuff for children. It is recommended for children older than 3 years, but even 1.5 years old will have lots of fun. Be aware that "Energy exhibition" is 5 minutes walk distance from parking lot. Parking costed like 10 PLN for hour and half. Dogs are not allowed inside buildings, but are allowed on outside premises. After activities you can eat at a restaraurant next to the parking lot. Restarant cooks quality modern and tasty food. I can highly recommend visiting this site

Sadly the pool was shut but we still spent the full day there with the kid

Nice place with enough rides for a little kid. 4 year old loved it and we managed to take advantage of Nickelodeon land outside as it was a nice day. Marked down for the pizza slice being very underwhelming for the price

Great fun for the kids. Clean, friendly, all rides are free once you are in, we had a great time! An easy way to have a lazy afternoon with the family & most of the staff speak English too.

Generally a fun place for kids 5-9. I don't think older kids would find it as much fun. I really liked the decor (very nice paintings, attention to detail). The rides are short and it's an advantage in my opinion. What I didn't like so much was the payable car park and payable storage lockers.

Nice place to spend time with kids although shop area and food area is too big in comparison to the rest. Prices in the shop are hilarious. Pen and pencil for 42 zł. 😂 No wonder it's empty all the time.

Great fun and tasty food.

The view of the tower was amazing, stairs were easy. But employees… We wanted to buy a ticket for museum and tower. No explanation on ticket or where to go. Rude person. After I literally said that you work in tourist information, can you switch to English, the person was so shocked. Either way, after all attitude circus we got the ticket with no explanation. Some other rude employee with no gift of speaking pushed us to a room. From other tourists we figured we need to leave our bags there, no probs. Finally, we walked to the tower and the view was great. On the way back we wanted to see some rooms connected to the tower but there were few other of these rude employees. Drama. Your ticket does NOT allow us to enter this, LEAVE and some curses in Polish. Good to know, would have been perfect information when selling a ticket… My tip: stop corruption in a hiring process of employees who represents your city. It’s embarrassing for you. These people at the best can work in jail, not here.

An interesting museum of the town hall, covering the history of Gdansk. Parts of the town hall were heavily damaged in the war. Quite a few stairs, especially if you want to go to the tower. Looks like you can either get a ticket to the tower and the museum or whichever one you want. We didn't do the tower, be a fair few stairs

Wonderful museum documenting local history. Definitely take the audio tour for a small additional fee, it's a great way to view the exhibit. This building had been the town hall for Gdansk for centuries, and is stuffed to the brim with fascinating history. There's also a viewing tower with a gorgeous view that's definitely worth conquering the stairs!

Great View, but Be Ready for Waiting and Lots of Stairs The museum is free to enter on Mondays, which is a big plus, but expect longer waiting times—especially if you want to go up the tower. It’s important to note that there are two separate tickets: one for the museum and another one for the tower. Tower access is charged separately even on Mondays (20 PLN), and you can buy the ticket right before the entrance. Only 20 people are allowed at the top at the same time, so entry is regulated. The wait can be uncomfortable, especially if the air gets stuffy. The climb itself is manageable, and the view from the top is absolutely worth it. The museum is well done and interesting, but be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs throughout the visit. Definitely worth seeing—just wear comfortable shoes and bring some patience.

One of the most beautiful museum in Gdansk. It tells you about the decision maker of the last centuries until ww2. They follow strong policies which shows up at the wall and the roof, clear messages and guidelines such as justice, self-awareness, ans rules to carry about each other. The best artists of Gdansk have transfer them into beautiful artwork like colorful paintings and pittoresk statues. I’m not kidding when I say these policies are the guarantee for prosperity and freedom. I wish all of our global leaders would follow these rules today…

Amazing well kept museum, loved the exhibition dedicated to the animals

We go there quite often during weekdays and weekends. My son loves it there. If you go in the morning there's less people you can comfortably use the jacuzzi and other facilities. The bar staff is very friendly and we always have a little snack 😋 The reception staff is also very nice. Overall we prefer it to the other big park. There's more areas to swim and just relax. Parking is sufficient 👍 it's a bit expensive though

We stayed for the unlimited package which allows you to stay how long you want. Facilities were clean and numerous cleaners around the aqua-park. The kids loved the crazy blue rapids. Not many slides for the young kids but enough to keep them busy. Jacuzzis had powerful jets. Did want to do the sauna but was put off by the fact you can only wear a towel.

Very good place to visit if you have a kid. A number of shallow pools (1.1-1.3m), slides, jacuzzis, waterfalls, as well as cafe inside the swimming area. A small "island" with a strong water current surrounding was a lot of fun. Water temperature was just fine. The kid was very happy. The only drawback was artificially added time spent inside, to squeeze more money, even though we left before our time was up, but that's unfortunately a common practice in places like this.

Good spot, very nice pool, and well organized. A family of 5 for 3h plus parking and food totals almost 700zł, which is a lot in my opinion. Especially for a place so close to the seaside.

Far too crowded. There were huge queues at the reception, and the strong smell of chlorine hits you the moment you enter the building. The pools are quite shallow, the deepest one is only about 1.5 metres. There are only two jacuzzis, and it’s nearly impossible to get a spot in either of them. Overall, just too many people for the space available. Not the relaxing experience we were hoping for.

Nice place, not so big to be honest but all pool and sauna facilities were available. I tried most of the slides and even got a little bit of swimming in the outside pool. I was glad that I could use my sports package benefit from the office and my kids had lots of fun. The reception had a Lovely aquarium with gold fish.

We had a great time visiting the National Maritime Museum. The experience started with exploring the SS Sołdek, a beautifully preserved coal and ore freighter that was the first ocean-going ship built in post-war Poland. Walking through the engine room and crew quarters gave us a sense of what life at sea is like. After crossing the Motława River on a small ferry (which was fun in itself), we continued our visit to the main museum building located in the historic granaries. The exhibitions were incredibly well-organized, featuring ships, models, and maritime artifacts from around the world. We especially enjoyed the displays about Polish maritime history, old navigation tools, and the fascinating section on traditional boats used by various cultures. To top it all off, we had lunch at the museum's rooftop restaurant. The food was great, and the views over the river and the Gdańsk Old Town were stunning—worth a stop, even if you're just passing by. Whether you're into ships or history or just want a unique museum experience, this place is a must-see in Gdańsk. We were impressed by the extensive exhibits and the museum's impressive size. It's an ideal destination for a rainy day in Gdańsk, offering a wealth of discoveries. The maritime paintings charmed us, and the opportunity to board the SS Sołdek added a unique touch to our visit. The museum is also affordable, making it accessible to a wide range of explorers. However, we noticed that several exhibits lacked English translations, which could pose challenges for international visitors. Additionally, some displays appeared outdated and could benefit from modernization to enhance engagement. Despite these points, the museum offers a comprehensive look into Poland's maritime history and is well worth a visit, especially for those with an interest in naval history.

The National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk offers a fascinating bbc look into Poland’s seafaring history with impressive exhibits and interactive displays. We really enjoyed our visit as a family. The only downside was the setup, it felt a bit like an IKEA route, where you have to go through every level in sequence, which made it hard to skip or backtrack. Still, well worth the visit!

Interesting, but as a foreigner, I expected to have some information printed in the most international language:English. Even the exit signs were in polish, not normal EXIT

A nice museum to visit when visiting Gdansk as it offers an insight on Polish maritime history. As there are a lot of visuals it was still eye catching, however, all of the exhibits were only in Polish, they do have laminated information cards in English and few other languages, but its not it when you would like to read it by the exact exhibit. Therefore a lot of information displayed went missing and that’s a shame. All in all a pleasant experience.

A good, classic museum. Display cases. Little multimedia. Remarkable proximity to a key object of medieval maritime history: From the model of the Gdansk Crane Gate, you can look through the window to the original. A quiet, unhurried museum. Note the museum's island location. When the pedestrian bridge is open for ships, there can be a wait of up to 30 minutes at the river.

The museum has a potential, but it is completely disjointed. The presentation of the objects is poor, labels (which should be in at least two languages) are hard to read, follow, and understand, and all the dioramas and maps are extremely dated and confusing. I think somebody forgot that modern museums still need some interpretation to bring them to the 21st century…

Nice museum, bigger than I expected. Unfortunatelly just a small part of the exhibition is translated to English. You can buy a bit more expensive ticket and visit also the ship, that was very interesting.

The Green Gate in Gdańsk is absolutely stunning and hard to miss—its grand height and beautiful architecture immediately draw your attention. Visiting at the beginning of May, I found it to be incredibly busy, which is no surprise given its prime location. It sits right at the entrance to the Long Market (Długi Targ), which is the heart of Gdańsk’s historic city center. Took several pictures here. There is alot of historical buildings here to take pictures of. There are the traditional gift shops and eateries packed in the "Old Town". We did not ride the ship but you can there are 2 ships believe its every hour they come around.

Great place! A bit expensive though and a lot of people, so I would recommend going in a weekday or in the evening. They also didn't have more spots for capybara's when we arrived, so better to book in advance.

Very interesting for kids, a bit load and stinky which is normal for birds cage.

We had a great visit here. The guide was very friendly and spoke good english. The parrots were gorgeus. We also got to feed the capybaras. Really enjoyed our time there!

Great time today at the bird zoo, lots of large parrots that feed out of your hand, perch in your shoulders, arms etc. Very clean and birds as well as the other animals looked healthy and well looked after. Nice pizza and coffee in the restaurant in the same building.

Great place to spend a few hours. Loads of interaction with the animals, smaller parrots are one one side with the lemur cafe next to them, bigger parrots are on the opposite side. In the middle is a small section with some meerkats, a fish tank and a couple of toucans are in that space. The parrots are great, you get to see different personalities straight away. The light pink bigger parrots in the small cage love macaroni, and will chuck the food everywhere digging to find them! There was a really cheeky red/green/blue parrot in the big section who tried pulling my top up then grabbed the bobble out of my hair 😂 it was hilarious, I had a grey parrot on my head the whole time. So much fun, VERY loud though as you can imagine, as soon as one parrot starts squawking the rest join in! In the information before hand you're told to feed the small parrots via the tub the food comes in, and the bigger parrots out of your hand, otherwise they just steal the whole tub. As you can see via the photos, some people didn't quite listen, there were two or three parrots digging into full tubs of food! You can go in the meerkat cage for a few minutes and have a little stroke of them, they are so soft and sweet. The lemurs cage is opened on the hour for half an hour, then they have time in between to chill out without people in there. The whole place has a two hour break in the middle of the day so the parrots can have a nap and chill without humans bugging them. There are also some goats out front so even before you enter, you get to see some fun animals!

We really enjoyed this place. The staff were really friendly and supper helpful. You can't go in wearing button, buckles, rings, piercings, and glasses must be worn with extreme caution! THE PARROTS WILL GET THEM. Staff have t-shirts so you can cover shirts over and tape to cover anything else. You can buy food for 3zl which is worth doing. They also give you a locker to leave your bags. Most of the parrots are really friendly. However look out for the large blue and yellow ones! I saw one bite a ladies fingure and wouldn't let it go and it did hurt and then the same one later bit my ear and a staff member had to help(it is still a little inflamed a week later!) There were several of the same type already locked away so i suspect staff are keeping a close eye on their behaviour. But there are always staff around. And they seem to love the animals and the animals them. Clearly well cared for animals. I was however disappointed that not long after we got there they informed us that they would be closing for an hour to give the animals a break which i wish they had told us when we arrived. Also it is not the easiest place to find which is why i have taken off one star.

Very nice birds, of course, if you don’t afraid of beaks, smell and loud sounds) I bought two cups with food one for small and another for huge buddies) but I should have bought more;) be prepared that Aras steal your cup at once ;)

I would like to visit the place again and again, the beauty of the place is mesmerising!!

This is the most beautiful city in Poland (three cities in one), cosmopolitan, excellent new and old buildings, beach huge F&B offering, Vibrant and as all polish cities.. extremely children friendly.

The Old Town Hall, whose construction was completed in 1595, is one of the few buildings in Gdańsk that was preserved during the destruction of the Second World War. The surroundings are beautiful, because in front of this building there is the House of the Millers' Guild, the tower of the Church of St. Catherine, the Canal of Radunia and Chlebowy bridge also called bridge of love, because young people hang padlocks there.

This is great place with rich history. Alao there are lot of good food, halal food options. Though this is a tourist spot food is really cheap and portions are big.

First of all, you really need to like Polish dumplings to enjoy this place. I found out they are not really my thing or my taste, which is why I can only give four out of five stars — but that’s purely personal. We visited Mandu in Gdańsk and really enjoyed the experience overall. A reservation is definitely recommended, but you can also just wait in line – which moves quite fast. The nice detail: they take your name on the waiting list, and you are called in once a table is free. While waiting in the line you can already order a drink, which makes the time pass easily. Once inside, the service was very friendly and fast. The big highlight is of course the wide selection of different dumplings – with something for everyone who enjoys them. All in all, a great place to try Polish dumplings in a nice atmosphere.

The customer service was excellent and very friendly! I ordered the baked pierogi (spicy chicken) to try the Polish dumplings, along with the creamy sour soup and a glass of green tea. The portion of pierogi was really large, with five baked dumplings, it was very filling, even for someone like me who usually eats a lot. It would be great if there was an option to choose a smaller portion of 3 or 5 baked dumplings, as it can be hard to finish the whole portion alone. The soup was really good and made a great starter. I wanted to order more to try different dumplings at the beginning, but the server kindly told me that the portion is already big enough and she was right. I was dining alone, but I felt very comfortable. The server also checked in on me during my meal, so I never felt ignored. Additionally, when I entered the restaurant, I was almost immediately greeted by the staff. The location is a bit of a walk, but there are quite a few museums nearby. It was also a big plus that they have English menu. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a try! 😊

Definitely lived up to the hype. The Polish dumplings were excellent, and I liked that they offered creative options inspired by other cuisines too. The soup was flavorful, service was very friendly, and there wasn’t much of a wait to get seated.

Considering the high rating and long line ups, I may be the odd one out that thought the food was just average. The dinning room also felt lackluster in terms of decors. The menu's most interesting fillings are those inspired by non-polish cuisines, so as a visitor who wants to eat mainly polish ones, I thought the menu was limited.

Pierogy heaven! We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table, but we ordered drinks meanwhile. The food is just amazing here!!! All those pierogys and pelmenikis and other dumplings! So hard to decide what you wanna eat. The portions are huge! The taste is 100/100!!! Absolutely love this restaurant!!!

This was my first time trying Polish dumplings. I tried the no.6 of the baked dumplings, which is spicy chicken and cheese. The dumplings were on a fluffy yeast dough - this made the portion of 5 dumplings very fulfilling, as the size of the dumplings wasn’t same as the normal boiled dumplings. The flavour of the dumplings was quite nice as I love spicy food and cheese in general. The ranch sauce suits the dumplings very well.

The tour guide recommended this place for the famous Polish dumplings. It was nice, but I’ve had better dumplings, and I didn’t really enjoy the ones from Mandu. They weren’t bad, but not as good as I was expecting. I forgot to take pictures at the beginning, so these are half eaten pics. Sorry 😂

We had a lovely meal at Sempre Pizza e Vino on Długa! The pizzas were delicious, the pasta was rich and flavorful, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Great service and a perfect spot for a relaxed family dinner.

We had the most wonderful experience at this charming Italian restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting — like being transported straight to a little trattoria in Italy. My girlfriend was craving pasta so we stumbled upon this place given their lovely outdoor seating area. The pasta was just alright. Nothing too special but will do the job if you’re hungry. I would recommend just coming here for drinks to enjoy the outdoor patio.

Food was like in the canteen, but portions are big and for reasonable price. Place is in a nice and quiet location of the old town, but really needs some renovation, especially WC. Pleasant and smiling waitress, figures of cats and ceiling were the best things about this place

This place has tourist trap vibes. The waitress was rude and impatient, we just arrived in the city and were very hungry on our way to the hotel. Otherwise we would not have stopped here. The food is average: dry pierogi and soup without flavour. The prices are high. The audicity to add 10% tip to the bill is also outrageous, the server did not deserve it.

Nice place, friendly waiter, decent food for a normal price. I'm not a big fan of alle the cat figurines, but the ceiling looked pretty cool.

The carbonara had no flavor, the goulash tasted like tomato paste which didn't please us much after an hour and a half of waiting. The zurek tasted good and there was a lot of meat in the goulash which is a plus. We waited almost an hour for the beer

Well it was alright, but store bought food might of been better. The food was really bland and very underwhelming. We ordered carbonara (which had no flavour), schabowy (which the skin was soggy, and came with very hard potatoes and some vegtables covered in a weird sauce), devoili fillet (which I'm unsure what meat it was but had a weird flavour) and lastly bigos with bread (there were five small piece of sausage and the you could tell the bread was not fresh). Other than the underwhelming food, the service was lovely and the waitress was amazing. Just wish the food was equal to that.

To begin with, we waited 45 minutes for two dishes. And it turned out that they tasted bad. The pasta was overcooked and tasteless, the chicken dry. Cocktails are not the best. I don't recommend this place.

Worth a visit with kids interested in science. Not as good as the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw as much smaller (only one huge hall) and could do with an onsite cafe (only vending machines on site) and an outside seating area to catch a breath of fresh air. Allow 2-3 hours to explore. Overall, cleverly designed space and very interactive. Top tip: get your ticket online for a speedy entrance.

Good place for kids to learn, observe and play. It's quite big and has lot of things mostly for small kids and few items for all ages like checking body weight, BMI, experiencing earth quakes etc. Some things doesn't work and is kept as it is. Best way for kids to learn science. Would be good to spend around 1 - 1 and half hours for this minimum so that everything would be covered for sure.

Went there with my friend, we’re both in our mid-20s. It’s clearly targeted mostly at children but not only. The entire thing is rather small and we saw everything in half an hour, but we had a good laugh. For a little stop I recommend it.

We found it very interesting, they have lots of things that you often find in science centers and then some more unique experiments. The only thing that would make it better would be if you could leave to visit the restaurant in the same building and then come back. However at the moment you can only enter once with your ticket. There was a snack corner with tables so it's possible to eat a sandwich there.

A cool place to go to with kids on a rainy day. Be warned though - queues start at 8.30 am during busy periods. If you want to avoid queuing for 2 hours, book online the day before. Once inside, there are lots of really cool and interesting things to see and do. All open-plan. We really liked the mushroom slide, the X-ray family photo, the tree with bird sounds and various body exhibits. We were there for about 2 hours. Once inside, there is only a drinks / snacks machine, so it's better to eat beforehand / afterwards, or bring your own food (there are a few picnic tables available). There is a restaurant with healthy food just before you go through but again - queues! I give it 4 stars because they should really improve their queueing process and, perhaps, allow pre-booking on the day.

Nice sandy beach, but during summer weekends its overcrowded. A lot of fast food restaurants are close to the beach. If you have lucky, you can park your car for free on a way to the beach.

I agree with all good reviews here. Easily accessible, clean, nice small restaurants, bike path etc. But I think it misses very important facilities like changing rooms, showers and clean public restrooms.

Such a lovely beach, I stayed at a place only 10 mins walk from here a couple weeks ago, so made sure I went and had a walk on the beach at least once a day. Really peaceful in October (I've seen some photos on here from the summer months though!) Great for a walk, love the sound of the sea and it looks great at night when the pier is lit up. I noticed locals were picking stuff up all along the shore on my first night, so after a few minutes I started looking down (too many for it to just be people looking for pretty shells) then I noticed a little bit of orange, then another bit. Baltic amber washes up on the shore, especially at rougher times of the year, so it was really chill just taking a stroll in the evening, picking up some tiny bits here and there. Now I have a keepsake that I found myself rather than bought.

The venue is beautiful but the tickets were overpriced for the concert I booked for . I went to see Rock Ballads with two children and one disabled person on wheelchair. No discount for any of them which was very disappointing . I paid about 500 PLN for two adults, elderly disabled person and two small children. Staff was very attentive and helpful , the acoustics was a huge disappointment . I was expecting a great show but what I found was 10 youngsters in the middle of the scene playing instruments . No singing , zero effort in dress code from the musicians which for this price I would expect . The musicians were occupying 1/20 th area of the scene with all place around empty . Looked ridiculous. No atmosphere what so ever, sound was also below average . Literally waste of money ! The place is accessible for wheelchair but only for sitting and watching and not in regards to toilets so if the wheelchair user have to use a bathroom you can go back home for that . Also there are only two parking spots of disabled person’s cars next to the entrance even though there was plenty of space for more. So you need to drop disabled person up the hill to the gates…. Then drive back to park your car and come up again up the hill on foot ! Parking ( if you find a space) will charge you for the whole day even though you coming only for 2 h concert . There is couple of food stands there to grab zapiekanka or fries or beer , that’s all. No choice of any other snacks or food . Zapiekanka quality was very low, lots of cheese but almost no mushrooms .

The show is what makes it a success. But the location is fantastic. You are always near to the podium, and acustic is better than expected as it's outside.

For 40 years I dreamed of getting into the Forest Opera in Sopot. On May 30, there was such an opportunity, but the Opera was closed, the security did not miss to see the concert venue. Alas.

Wow!!! This is an awesome venue. Went to see Top of the Top music festival there. Really good views from most seats and the stage was set up amazingly.

The actual ship is brilliant but the museum let's its self down slightly for me. A quarter is explained in English and then the rest you have to figure out where you are and read it from a leaflet and it just doesn't have the same effect! It is such a shame as some of the things the show in the museum are so interesting!

Fantastic experience, well worth the admission ticket. Great for kids, the loved being on and in the Sołek. We bought a combined ticket for the 2 maritime museums and the ship but one of the museums is vast and kids got tired, they really enjoyed the ship though. A great piece of history in a fantastic location.

A great ship with an amazing story. It’s worth exploring the ship was built after WWII to haul coal and iron ore and through several owners ended up hauling 3.5 tons of cargo. It was beautiful to walk around and take photos of the city while on board. I highly recommend checking it out!!

SS Sołdek is a retired Polish coal and ore freighter and it was the first ship built in Poland after World War II and the first seagoing ship completed in Poland. Now it is a ship museum and you cannot miss it as it is really amazing experience to visit it. Ticket only 15 PLN.

Look into the cargo ship, great! You can really go through everything, from the cargo hold and boiler room to the crew quarters and captain's station 👍⚓️

The maritime museum is very nice, but we didn't really like the exhibition on the Soldek ship very much. It relied heavily on the ship as such and the exposition seemed a little sloppy. Overall I still recommend it.

This park has great potential, it's huge it has many small tracks to follow, and everybody will find something for themselves. From playing table ping pong to a small skatepark and a couple of children's areas to have fun. If you have a dog no problem at least three closed sites where you can play with other dogs. If you feel like having a grill party you will find a place to do that also. Birthday party or picnic is no problem.

We did the weekly parkrun 5k run here (9am Saturdays) it was very friendly in beautiful natural surroundings. After we went to a nearby beach cafe for breakfast.

So big, so green! Such a great place to walk or cycle! A nice lake, loads of trees, tranquility. If you're used to a more urban environment back home, then this is unmissable. City parks are so often noisy with not much tree cover to block traffic noise. There is SOME of that in the background, but it is pretty distant. It is a little difficult to get to, but it is well worth it. Tram followed by bus. UPDATE : A few autumn photos added, but it was still pretty green even in early November

Cozy park with many paths both paved and unpaved. The wooded parts are very airy, and there are a few larger open spaces. Along one of the smaller paths there are some intact small bunkers. There's also fenced areas for dogs to run free.

Great place to relax! It has an amazing place for kids, cycling, walking, jog or having some quality time with friends for example by fire with some sausages(there is few spots there for that as well). Places is close to the beach and forest so contact with nature also adds to it. Surely would recommend that to anyone!

One of the best kids playgrounds in Trojmiasto which is absolutely for free. Full of nice obstacles, machines, swings etc. which are addapted to different age groups and evry kid and parent will find something to do together/ or not :-) It is must visit thing with kid on suitble day. There is toi toi as well as lot of benches to chill and relax. Not far away there are shops so you can get anything you need. My son loves it and we have to be there at least twice in month :-P big plus is that on nice day there is a lot of kids and parents so you get to socialise and young ones can play together !!!

Very beautiful views from the tower! You can see Olivia Business Center, surrounding green areas, the sea and so many buildings! I recommend it for sightseeing and for a walk, make sure you have winter shoes when it is snowing as there are not too long stairs ;)

If you are traveling around Trójmiasto this place is definitely worth to check it. The spot have beautiful view, but you will have to walk a lot of steps to get on the top. Take water with you, to stay hydrated. You can see very nice panorama of the city. Entrance is for free. But the spot might be crowded, but still it’s worth it to check it on day with nice weather

Nice 20-30 minutes walk from Oliwa tram station. Awesome view of the entire Gdansk Oliwa and around region from the top. Avoid visit during windy days.

I would say it's a very first of all romantic place. you can watch nice view: from one side it's the city and city lights, from other wonderful country view. you should visit this place

Too many steps. You need to walk up and up and only steps and steps. No elevator no ricksha people to get you up. This is mascara. I don’t know how many steps to top but at least 300 too much. View for too is ok like you see stuff from above. And at least for free. Would never pay to see it if there wouldn’t be elevator. Or at least French fries stand at the top. But there is no single food up there. Not even zapiekanka. I don’t understand why to go up if no zapiekanka there.

We had an amazing time at the Ośrodek Kultury Morskiej with our two boys, aged 6 and 9! This museum is incredibly interactive, educational, and fun for both kids and adults. The hands-on exhibits kept the boys engaged for hours — they especially loved the simulation of steering a ship and learning about life at sea. Everything was well-organized, clean, and thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity. Staff members were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was very welcoming for families. It’s a must-visit spot in Gdańsk, especially if you’re traveling with children. We learned a lot and had so much fun — highly recommend!

Nice interactive exhibition and visually pleasing experience. Clean and neat. Convenient little souvenir store on the first floor, so you could have a little memorabilia from there. Would recommend visiting yourself and bring your kids along I think they won’t be bored there and will appreciate the time spent.

The national maritime museum consists of three separates sites on both banks of the river. This is the modern branch of the museum and is highly recommended for families with kids. It caters for English speaking tourists. You can buy a ticket which includes crossing the river on the museums ferry which shuttles back and to every fifteen minutes. We arrived at around 4:30 PM, and the first floor where the interactive exhibition is for children was already closed because of full capacity. So we visited 2nd and 3rd floor (non interactive exhibitions). It was nice as well, but we specifically came for the interactive exhibition. The ticket price for what we saw on 2nd and 3rd floor was adequate - around 20 PLN for two adults and one child. On 3rd floor there were some interactive items, but half of them didn't work or were closed. When you come here, come early. PS: gods are not allowed

We visited the museum in August 2016 and most of the simulators worked. Cool for the kids. We went to Soldek ship, too. There is a ferry Moltawa that runs every 15 minutes across the river canal. Soldek is as it is - an old ship, fun to explore, use your own imagination:). Allow about 3 hours for both.

As mentioned many times before - great for families and kids, there are many running everywhere. You can buy a ticket just for this building or the other attractions. There are three floors in this building: First (12zl) mostly for kids, interactive show. Second (8zl) with actual boats from around the world (kayaks, catamarans, small boats). And third (gratis) with exposition from Polish firm which makes big ships (actualy quite interesting).

Nice gallery and polite staff. There was a lot of modern art and glass sculptures, so great if you are into that sort of thing, although perhaps dependent on the exhibitions that are on. However, the noise level was quite high, which made it a bit overwhelming for us adults, and there weren’t nearly enough seats for parents to rest or comfortably supervise their children. A few more quiet corners or seating areas would really improve the experience. That said, it’s still a fantastic place for kids to burn off energy and have fun.
