Olivia Star is situated in a commercial area near the University, closer to Sopot's center than Gdansk Old Town. It's part of Olivia Business Centre, the largest business hub in northern Poland. The building stands 180 meters tall with an observation deck on the 32nd floor at 130 meters high. Visitors can reach it by taxi from Gdansk Old Town or via nearby train station Gdansk Przymorze-Uniwersytet or tram.
I booked an offer here through Viator, a welcome Proseco, a cocktail and a pizza of your choice plus access to the Olivia star sky bar. We visited yesterday evening and everything was as described. We had an Aperol Spritz and Pepperoni pizza, which was very good. The 360° views of Gdansk are amazing and you can clearly see Sopat and bits of Gydnia. Really great views.

We bought tickets for here, which were not checked once. Free parking was a bonus. A great view with fun things to do at the "insta" spot. But probably not worth paying extra for. The garden with cafe was nice, but much smaller than anticipated and on the ground floor. Worth paying if you want the views otherwise you can just go anywhere with a high look out. Kind of over rated.
Elaine W — Google review
Absolutely worth a visit. If you are in Gdansk, you should definitely visit here. Our drinks were very affordable and the views were breathtaking. Sunset was the perfect time to visit for both day and night light. The gardens on the ground floor were also so lovely and quiet. Definitely worth visiting.
Hannah J — Google review
Good spot to have a nice view out to the sea and into the sun direction. You need to get tickets to get into the 32th floor with the lift. We wanted to order some drinks but had to search for the Service people. I had to order at the counter and also pay there. They only came by the table to bring the drinks.

What a place and what a view! 32nd floor and very nice place in general. We were lucky as we didn't book but still managed to get a table. Also life music was on that evening so made whole experience even better! I would defo recommend to book the place though!

Gdańsk, also known as Danzig in German, is a picturesque port city located on the Baltic coast of Poland. The Main Town area, which was reconstructed after the devastation of World War II, features charming and colorful facades along the Long Market where visitors can find an array of shops and restaurants. One of the notable landmarks in this area is the Neptune Fountain, a 17th-century symbol topped by a bronze statue of the sea god.

The European Solidarity Centre, located in the famous Gdansk Shipyards, is a museum and library that pays homage to the modern Polish history and the influential trade union movement. The center's exhibits vividly portray the struggles and triumphs of the workers and unionists of the Polish Solidarity movement, which played a pivotal role in bringing about political change in Eastern Europe during the 1980s.
One of the best museums to check out in Poland, dedicating a well-sized exhibition to a topic spanning only a short but incredibly important era of Poland's most recent history. The presentation is superb and the subject matter explained well and with much dignity. A must-see if you're around Gdańsk and just remotely interested in this country's post-war history leading up to present-day Poland.
Markus V — Google review
Definitely THE museum to check out in Gdansk, it documents the history of the Solidarnosc movement that led to the end of communism and the splintering of the Soviet Union. There's a brilliant audio guide that gives detailed information and leads you through the exhibitions in either 1.5 or 2.5hrs, your choice. The variety of exhibits and the timeline they document is stunning, extremely interior and so well presented. There's also a free viewing platform on the roof of the building. Definitely don't skip this museum!
Bianca W — Google review
Fantastic museum! The permanent exhibition is excellent and very well laid out and informative. The audio guide is included in the price and again was very good. The museum is situated right at the heart of where the Solidarity movement started and holds such a vital piece of history in Europe. A must see attraction!
Matt S — Google review
Fascinating museum in a great building. Although I remember seeing the events on TV of Solidarnosc and martial law, this was a really interesting wider look at the power of protest and organisation and the huge impact of the events in Poland on the decline and disintegration of the Soviet bloc. The audio guide, included in the ticket, really helps. We had to rush through some parts as we were time limited but could easily have spent 2-3 hours here.
Simon W — Google review
One of the best museums I have ever been to. Well worth it. Very informative. Normally can't be bothered with the Audio guide but gave it a go and well worth it. 2 hours well spent. Also learnt a lot in a topic I thought I knew quite a bit on. Well done A cool venue aswell. Looks like they do events there which would be a nice setting. Also the library is very nice
Feston C — Google review
Fantastic museum! Holds a very powerful story, not just for Poland but for all of the democratic world. Other than the story and history, the architecture and build of the museum is sturdy with an industrial structure. I loved how you are encouraged to touch everything, different to other museums where you have to be extra careful. Be sure to take the official picture by Gate 2, where the solidarity movement exited the shipyard.
Sebastian N — Google review
Very beautiful, new and interactive museum. It’s sad because the history wasn’t so good but it’s definitely worth visiting. Everyone should visit this museum while you’re in the Gdansk. You will get to choose from the 2 audio guides 1.5 and 2.5 hour one. We choosed the 1.5 hour one and we were there for 3 hours. Also I personally recommend buying tickets in the advance so you be don’t need to wait a long line for buying tickets.
Vladimir L — Google review
This is a place of hope, freedom and peace. This story stays for all people for all times, simply for mankind. It gives everybody hope who suffers under injustice authorities, despotism and inhumanity. It show the way of unarmed movements getting millions of people aligned on the way to democracy, pluralism and equality. I believe in that these goals aren’t only limited to a few percentage of our global population. Showing the today world of instabile young democracies it is of absolute importance to defend our existing achievements. It will also help and guide future generations to set-up even more stable democratic systems, wherever and whenever.

We took a taxi from centrum. Insist on Garden not Park otherwise you end 1 km further out. The Green Garden is rather small a the cafe covers most of it. It might be necessary to book a table. We were lucky (6 pax). Asian food splendid. Free admission and remember toilets in the basement. Buy a ticket (29pln) to the upper restaurant deck (32 floor) reservation for table is necessary. Buy a coffee and cake and enjoy the view over the city and sea from the terrasse. Food here is abs excellent.
Henrik N — Google review
Oliva Garden in Gdańsk has a fascinating concept and is quite impressive to look at. It’s not often you come across a café with such a unique setting, and the natural surroundings are truly beautiful. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff was unfriendly, and the server seemed uninterested in providing a pleasant experience. On top of that, the drinks were overpriced and not particularly good. While the atmosphere might draw you in, the poor service and high prices can really take away from what could have been a great visit.
Julien H — Google review
Very nice place, tropical vibes and the staff are really nice! We had ice cream and it was decently priced and delicous! I really recommend coming with family and freinds!
Teo — Google review
Went to have a quick business lunch. There were children, grabbing the plants and spilling food and drinks all over the tables and floor. All of the tables were extremely dirty. Reservation signs were on all the smaller tables, but no people sat there for the duration of my stay. The buzzers they give to customers to pick up their orders are extremely loud; highly unexpected for the quiet and peaceful ambience they claim to promote. Ordered pho. It was mediocre at best. The menu clearly says that it’s served with chicken (it’s the first ingredient!), it came without chicken. When I asked the cook, he rudely said that he just cooks according to the menu and if I have a problem, ask the host. This was frustrating since I confirmed that it comes with chicken before I had ordered. At this point I just wanted to leave so I ate and left. The flavor was not very good. The noodles were unevenly cooked. Half were mushy and falling apart. The red chilies had no flavor. Some of the bean sprouts and green onions were brown. At least they supplied a slice of lime so that I could add some taste to the meal.

The Tower of St. Mary's Basilica in Gdańsk is a must-visit for anyone looking to soak in the city's beauty from above. Standing at an impressive 80 meters, this iconic structure boasts the title of the tallest brick church in the world. The journey to its viewing terrace involves climbing around 405 steps through narrow and winding staircases, which can be a bit daunting for those with a fear of heights or claustrophobia.
Great view of Gdansk. It is the highest point in the city, so you can see the whole old town 👍 It's 409 steps, so get ready to get off... Your feet will hurt, but it's worth it 😉 Tickets are not needed in advance, the queue is not big, the wait is up to 10 minutes.
Michal V — Google review
Took me around 15 minutes to get to the top. Beginning of a climb felt a bit claustrophobic and occasionally was dizzy from going up quickly in a swirl staircase. Once it's opened , it's spacious and you can see a big bell. On the top the view are stunning and trully breathtaking.
Joanna G — Google review
The tower of St. Mary’s Basilica in Gdańsk offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Standing at 78 meters tall, the climb to the top involves ascending approximately 405 steps through narrow, winding staircases. While the ascent can be physically demanding, especially for those with claustrophobia or a fear of heights, the effort is rewarded with stunning vistas of Gdańsk’s Old Town, the Motława River, and the Baltic Sea . Visitors should be prepared for the climb by wearing comfortable shoes and bringing cash, as the entrance fee is typically around 10 PLN, and payment is often accepted only in cash . The tower is open seasonally, with hours varying throughout the year; it’s advisable to check the official website or local sources for current opening times before planning your visit. Overall, the tower provides a unique opportunity to experience Gdańsk from above, offering a memorable highlight to any trip to the city.
R — Google review
Actually, it's a bit scary to climb the steps, there's not much space. The observation deck is not big, but the view of the city is great.
Anna F — Google review
The church was beautiful and peaceful, but the stairs were quite narrow—if you’re claustrophobic, it’s best to avoid going to the top. The top view is not worth watching if you've crossed 400+ stairs.
Hira A — Google review
If you have climbed the Köln cathedral, then don’t waste your time and money on this. The first 150 steps are the circular steps. If you are claustrophobia, definitely don’t recommend it. The rest of the stairs were pretty easy path but it was nasty, dirty from the bird’s droppings. Plenty of vandalism from people signing on the wall, throwing coins. Small deck on the top with covered most of the view. It’s not worth going up.
SM — Google review
⛪️ A Must-Visit Landmark in Gdańsk! Climbing the Tower of St. Mary’s Basilica is an unforgettable experience! The ascent is a bit of a workout, but every step is worth it once you reach the top — the panoramic view of Gdańsk’s old town, colorful rooftops, and the Baltic horizon is absolutely breathtaking. The basilica itself is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture — peaceful, majestic, and filled with history. The staff are friendly and informative, and the tower climb is well-maintained and safe. If you’re in Gdańsk, this is one spot you simply can’t miss — it’s the best view in the city! 🌆 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pachołek Hill Observation Deck, located in Gdansk, offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the city and the bay. Situated on the topmost peak in the Oliwa district, this viewing tower stands at an elevation of 100 meters above sea level. The tower is surrounded by dense woods and can be reached after a 15-minute climb up the stairs.
Oh I loved it. Stunning views, nice well maintained steps uphill (I was ascending from the side of Oliwa Park). Spacious on the top, it's comfortable to stay there for a while. For those uncomfortable with height there are some nice view spots near the tower itself, you don't need to climb it for a good view

If you are traveling around Trójmiasto this place is definitely worth to check it. The spot have beautiful view, but you will have to walk a lot of steps to get on the top. Take water with you, to stay hydrated. You can see very nice panorama of the city. Entrance is for free. But the spot might be crowded, but still it’s worth it to check it on day with nice weather

Nice 20-30 minutes walk from Oliwa tram station. Awesome view of the entire Gdansk Oliwa and around region from the top. Avoid visit during windy days.

Too many steps. You need to walk up and up and only steps and steps. No elevator no ricksha people to get you up. This is mascara. I don’t know how many steps to top but at least 300 too much. View for too is ok like you see stuff from above. And at least for free. Would never pay to see it if there wouldn’t be elevator. Or at least French fries stand at the top. But there is no single food up there. Not even zapiekanka. I don’t understand why to go up if no zapiekanka there.

Arco by Paco Pérez is a unique dining experience curated by the renowned 5-Michelin-starred chef, Paco Pérez. The menu is a masterpiece crafted by Perez himself and overseen by a team of experts in their respective fields from around the world. Guests can indulge in a diverse array of flavorful dishes, including truffle risotto, green peas, Dover sole, and blue lobster.
Delicious food, with a special mention for the tiny buns filled with onion soup - if I could, I would’ve ordered a box of them. Some dishes were relatively unremarkable, but still very good, and there were a few outliers that we still talk about many months later, like the aforementioned onion soup buns or the variation on pasta e patate. Of course everything was beautifully presented. The weakest part of the menu in our opinion were the meat dishes, but still nothing to complain about. We’re also grateful for the gin recommendation, thanks to you we found a gin that we still love today! Although the portions veer on the smaller side, as expected from a tasting menu, after the longest menu we left feeling full, but not stuffed. The view is spectacular and I recommend planning your visit during the day, when you can appreciate it fully. The service at the reception downstairs is very unpleasant. We are not Gdansk natives, we were a bit unsure how to get to the restaurant (it’s not immediately obvious), and the lady at the reception was borderline rude when we asked. In the restaurant itself, the waiters were very kind and attentive, no major complaints. We’ve been to many restaurants in the area, and so far Arco has been the only fine dining place that really stood out. I can barely remember what I ate at some of the other ones without looking for pictures. It’s not an extraordinary fine dining experience that you won’t find elsewhere in the world, but there are very few places in Poland that can match it, and none that I can personally think of in the Tri-city area. If this type of cuisine is something you like and you don’t mind the expense, you should definitely book a table. We’re planning to visit again, even though it’s a rather long trip for us.
Alveanerle — Google review
One of the best meals and service, I ever experienced. I have been on 2 star Michelin resturant, who is under this level. It is a truly underrated resturant in the Michelin Guide. So go there before they get 3 stars, and more pricey ;) And so polite servive.
Peter N — Google review
We booked the 18-course tasting menu with the premium wine pairing, expecting a memorable Michelin-star experience. Unfortunately, the evening fell short of those expectations. While the wine selection itself was thoughtful and of high quality, the timing and portions left much to be desired. After ten courses, we had received only two very small servings of white wine, which made the pacing feel awkward. At one point, we even wondered if we needed to order extra wine just to avoid sitting with empty glasses. In terms of food, there were a few highlights — the creamy omelette was delicate and delicious, and the trout was well executed. However, beyond those dishes, most of the courses were underwhelming in flavor and failed to leave a lasting impression. Given the price point and Michelin-star reputation, we expected a more cohesive and elevated experience. It’s clear that the team is ambitious and striving for excellence, but unfortunately, on this occasion, they missed the mark.

The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a great city panorama, allowing you to feast eyes on the sea line below. As day turns night, the windows transform into a unique canvas, blending the reflection of the bustling kitchen with the twinkling lights of the city, creating a special visual experience. The food is a delightful journey through flavors and textures. Their classic soup is a standout taste. The menu showcases a range of well-executed dishes that highlight both local and international cuisines. The only misstep is perhaps the Groseran risotto. While creative, the green peas didn't quite manage to balance the strong cheese flavor, leaving the dish slightly out of harmony. Nevertheless, this small imperfection was easily overshadowed by the overall quality of menu. What we really liked was the impeccable service. The staff's attention to detail and genuine care for guests' satisfaction elevate the experience from merely a meal to a memorable event. In conclusion, with its stunning views, excellent cuisine, and outstanding service, Arco was for us the best restaurant in Gdańsk.

A visit to a Michelin star restaurant is my go to thing whilst visiting a city. This one did not disappoint. We went for the 16 course wine pairing and to say that every course was beautiful and yet so different is an understatement. We also went for the wine pairing that was so perfectly matched to the fabulous food. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable as was our sommelier. The staff we all super efficient and the head chef checked on us to ensure that we were ok and happy with the food. The views of the city are amazing and the restaurant was tastefully designed. All in all very happy with our visit and if returning to Gdansk we would return and enjoy it all again.

My first starred restaurant, a discovery of flavors. The mix between land and sea, different countries, a culinary journey. I’m not used to eating seafood, fish eggs or seaweeds but here married with other ingredients, perfect. The only thing that disappointed me was desserts. I was expecting something more worked perhaps it’s my french side speaking… Again, nice experience and I’m glad of this discovery. Thank you so much to the all of the team.

We went for the Physis menu with wine pairing. It was a fantastic experience. 18 delicious courses, great service, especially from the sommelier, and great view.

To start I want to describe a bit of food, for starters we got a potato salad that was pretty interesting, a canollo with some cheese and coffee - cold and very bitter from the coffee extraction and a portobello asiette that was freezing cold, couldn’t taste the mushroom at all because of the temperature, and all starters where lacking salt. After that came bread with signature olive oil that was very good and a tuna salad. Tuna was chopped in 2mm cubes, 3 different caviars - trout, olives and lemon, drowned in dashi sauce (bitter from overboiling kombu and just emulsified with xanthan to a consistency) - again no salt at all, no texture, whole dish was very mild and soft, didn’t eat half of it. After that came a pasta with potatoes, clever play on rigatoni with potato foam from syphon and a bit of cheese notes. The best dish on the menu by far. But also mild and hard to eat the whole thing. Risotto with roasted bell peppers , straciatella and mussels… that was the biggest dish, probably a size of a lunch portion in a city center restaurant. And to be honest, something I would expect from a lunch restaurant not a star reviewed restaurant. Also left half of it. After that the long awaited main course, duck with sweet potato purée, sea bukthorn gelly and demi glace. Duck was chewy, skin wasn’t crispy, sea buckthorn gelly made on agar that lacked taste and was pointless for me to even mention in the menu, because I had a hard time to feel that it’s sea buckthorn. Pre dessert was the second best dish on the menu, nice play on classic polish apple pie. Main dessert was more about the plate that headchef designed than about the taste, I believe it was milk ice cream, two types of ganache - white and dark chocolate and some raspberry coulis. It was okay, but again… not a one star worthy dessert. Service was okay, nothing special, nobody asked us how we liked the food for the whole dinner and they were very stiff. They acted like they learnt quotes about the food and that’s it. We weren’t asked if we would like to have a look at the wine list, we asked for it in the middle of the dinner and got nice wine in the end. In the toilet towels finished and it was mid second seating, so I’m guessing they should be there. Big rotation of staff within our table lead to a lack of personal connection with our waiter, after bread serving we had crumbs on our table for around 30 minutes before someone cleaned up the table. I was with an empty glass of water/wine for most of the dinner as well. They spoke very quietly as well so we missed a lot of the explanations. Staff seamed stressed/inexperienced for that kind of place. They didn’t make us feel comfortable, rather strange.

Vidokówka is a restaurant located on the 32nd floor of Olivia Star. To access it for free, visitors can download the Olivka application and create an account. The place offers delicious food, reasonable prices, and friendly service with a beautiful view, especially after dusk. The modern decor adds to the overall experience. It's recommended for its shrimp risotto and impressive views that left visiting friends from France impressed.
The place is interesting and stuff is very nice. Food is tasty and drinks are good. It would be much better if you don't have to pay an entrance to get to the restaurant. I would personally appreciate some more meat meals.

Nice with but the food is nothing special. We have tried pizza as well as risotto with shrimps. Both dishes were good but I can’t say it was anything above the average. Definitely the risotto was worth ordering however the pizza was so so. During the evening in the weekend it can get drowsy so it’s better to have a reservation. The place has a wonderful Gdansk view so I still recommend visiting for a coffee or drink but there are better places to eat in the neighborhood.

Waiting time was over 1/2 hour. Food served was almost cold. Some dishes were with incorrect additions. Main advantage is viewes.

When I was there the atmosphere was great! I was with my friends who were visiting from France, they were impressed by the view :) and by the children playground ;) The music wasn't great, quite pitiful (ok, let's say boring). But we were laughing at it and the young one was amazed :) The food: well, it was nice. Not great, but nice. Which with the entourage made the entire experience worth the effort.

This is a very interesting venue, being located on a 32nd floor with fantastic views, but the fact you have to pay 25zl per person to even access the elevator to get to your pre-booked table is outrageous! The menu is simple and not mind blowing. If you're a vegetarian, you'll have a choice of 2 dishes, which both were out when we visited. If you like vegetables at all, you have a choice of 2 salads, don't count on any greens even as a side. I got a prawn risotto with undercooked, crunchy rice and overcooked prawns. My folks ordered a chacutrie board, which wasn't mind blowing, but ok. We arrived after 6pm on a Sunday, close to the kitchen closing time. The chefs were having quite a rude banter between themselves in an open kitchen and one was singing how fed up and done for the day he is. Well it showed in the food quality. It's an experience, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you really want to do it.

Guests have enjoyed private events with attentive wait staff and high-quality snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is described as beautiful, with friendly and helpful waitresses.
Excellent! We hosted a private event. The wait staff was coming all the time, buffet snacks were creative and high quality ingredients, drinks table constantly stocked. Try the lemonade for kids or adults. Super!

The view is amazing, the interior is inviting and adorable. However, it took 30 min for breakfast to come out and when it did it was disappointing at best. To start, the shakshuka came on a cold plate and tasted quite stale, bitter and burnt. It was very small too. The Turkish eggs were okay but one of them was a hard boiled egg. I have celiacs (can’t have gluten) and every other restaurant in sopot was able to propose something. Here I got two eggs with some lettuce on the side (mixed the egg and lettuce in the picture). Only recommend if you want the spot for views and are okay with the food and possibly leaving hungry 🤷🏻‍♀️

The service was incredibly slow. Caesar salad the worst I have tried in my entire life, the lettuce was hot and like off. Aperol Spritz tasted only of Aperol. Terrible food, really. The views are nice.
