Absolutely wonderful area to have a drink, eat, shop, or just wander around looking at people. Lots of the restaurants on the mall have patios or rooftop decks. They have banned on the bricks every Wednesday night during the summer. Very festive atmosphere! We loved it!

One of the top fav places in the world From the bricks... To quintessential shops...tasting honey... Tulips in the spring that go from one end to the other... Gorgeous views...especially from Avanti...and the creek... Gotta love those street performers... Never gets old

This is a first time at the Pearl Street mall, and what a great vibe. The shops were so cute, and what an amazing variety. We had lunch down there as well, and it was delicious. Such a lovely spot!

Super fun time just walking around. Got some souvenir shirts. Ate dinner at Salt. My favorite store was the Boulder Bookstore. So cute and surprisingly huge. Enjoyed our time here just walking and people watching. Parking is a max of $3 on weekdays and free on weekends. Easy experience paying. Just scan the code and pay by phone.

Loved loved loved this park. Several trails to choose from with absolutely beautiful mountain, city and sunrise/sunset views. It is quite busy and parking is limited, shuttles are available. It is Free... and even so I would definitely pay to use this park.

Fresh fruit, local bites, and mountain views? Yes, please. Between the hikes, the views, and the Boulder charm, Chautauqua is an absolute must if you want to experience the heart of the Rockies. 🌄

The cabins are very pleasant. Clean and comfortable Rustic but with wifi and in summertime you can sit outside and listen to the concerts in the Chautauqua concert venue. The paths on either side of the village of cabins are perfect good for a short hike or wood up to the mountain top. I saw bear cat, which means bears usually and a beautiful dear couple hugging the road - people safety- and that buck had a very big rack. Well it’s still there pretty much as it’s always been. I highly recommend a visit. A few of the cabins are privately owned so that gives the atmosphere appear something better than a campground. There’s an ice cream shop so be prepared to put on a pound and the restaurant is good for a few meals at least before you get tired. I hope their menu coffee is goodand so is the breakfast

We waited until late afternoon to go, when the parking lot wasn't so full. The hike, though rated easy, might be a little challenging for some. Just take your time and you'll get to the turnaround on the Chautauqua trail around the .85 mile mark. After that, it's mostly downhill! Make sure you have plenty of water.

You know... the miniature golf course was very nice. It's not new, but very natural which makes this course so much fun! I laughed as leaves and pine needles got in the way. Some might not like it, but I think it added to the challenge. Fun fun fun.

Our family has been visiting Gateway since they opened and it was very disappointing to see the lack of care in maintenance and service this year. Over four visits, the water feature (the magic "hole in one grate") was never working, the standing water was gross and dirty, features badly in need of painting, windmill not working, just generally run down. We have always found the young people working inside to be kind and helpful, this year the attitude was mostly indifferent. The cost is up, the quality of the mini golf is down (the cages and maze have always been bad), and the go karts are just ok but seem to be on skeleton staff.

This place was SO much fun and all the employees were very patient, accommodating, generous and kind. I’ve never had these thoughts or feelings at any arcade or fun center before. I will absolutely come back here and recommend it to everyone. We played in the arcade, hit some golf balls, rode go carts, and batting cages. There’s also mini golf that looked super fun but we ran out of time. We also brought our own skates and went skating in the public rink next door for free and played our own music mix on our Bluetooth speaker.

I grew up in Boulder. I have amazing memories of gateway. Recently we had a celebration for the family and 15 of us went. Sooo much fun. Flash from the past! Thanks

The arcade is small, but the mon golf course is awesome.

This was a fun place for the kids. They now have an arcade which they did not few years back. The arcade was a lot of fun for kids and pretty cheap, you get a lot of tickets and okay prizes. The mini golf was nice and small, 2-18 hole golf courses. Was not kept to clean but good for the price. We had a coupon and got two games for buy one get one free. Otherwise it ranged from 5-9.50 depending on games and ages. They had a maze, little kids go karts, adult go karts and a batting cage.

Such a fun place! We were a group of adults and enjoyed every attraction. The park needs little upgrades but did see them working on them, especially the mini golf area. Workers were also sanitizing after every group. Overall, nice to stop by for a couple of hours!

An excellent location right by downtown Boulder. On a weekday, pay parking was immediately available. Look for sign that says how you can go online and pay. There is only a $2 entrance fee for the museum. The current exhibit was interesting but not always well explained as to the meanings intended with the pieces. Recommend looking at what is showing in the gallery before you go.

This was my second visit to the museum. Each time I have been impressed with the art. They show 3-4 artists at a time in their small space. Here are some pictures from the current shows. They have a cute gift shop, too. Go visit and support this great museum!

This is a somewhat small museum with an interesting collection of works. It was very affordable and there is a nice little tea shop right next door. I very much enjoyed the fabric art and textiles on the 2nd floor. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to view the world from a different perspective.

This is a small but impactful museum - only three galleries but interesting artists. The three in the fall/winter selection are a collection of altered photographs (often polaroids), by splicing and intercutting several shots in a collage. (By Kevin Hoth & George Perez.) Then a black artist who combines photographs and printing techniques for rich examples of everyday life (by Kristopher Wright.) And upstairs, a collection of projected photos on the shifting nature of "home" (by Erin Hyunhee Kang.) Also, it's free on Saturday and right next door to the Dushanbe Tea House, so if you're there already, you might as well stop in. The small store is worth a look, too, I liked some of the earrings on sale.

Always love going to art museums in new places that we visit. This museum is very small but totally worth checking out. It took us less than an hour to look at both exhibits, but we enjoyed viewing the pieces and learning about the artists. Only $2 per person for admission and $1.50/hour for parking nearby. Great place for a short stop in Boulder.

Was really disappointed with this museum. Like other reviews mention, they kind of force you to pay. The actual exhibit was really poorly done/ curated.

I brought my two kids, and we went to a matinee. It was such a great experience. The show started with imagery and explanation of the current night sky in our area. The woman speaking was very clear and easy to understand. Next, we saw 6 short films that each shared a story of the night sky from different ancestral peoples around the globe. All were really well done. My only wish was that we could redbone more in the chairs to make it easier to look up at the dome.

I had seen Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" laser light show at the Fiske Planetarium and was super impressed! I've been to many planetariums including Hayden and Flandrau, and didn't think Fiske could even compare. I was wrong, the Fiske Planetarium was amazing. The effects were fantastic and the sound was superb. After the show, several others and I had a chance to speak to the planetarium operator (Sebastian), and he was both knowledgeable and courteous. Overall, I cannot recommend this planetarium enough!

This was my first time coming here for a science show and a laser light show. I liked the science show however I was having a hard time understanding what was being said due to being hard of hearing. I wish there was close captions or something to help with that. Being a HUGE Harry Styles fan that I am, I knew I had to come see this show and I'm so glad I did. It was well worth two hour drive home. Only downside is I had a group of adults sitting next to me when there was plenty of spots for them to sit, and for the first four songs they talked, mocked, laughed, and made fun of me so I finally had to get up and move away from them. I wish there was someone around watching people so they could've kicked these people out but thankfully after I moved away they finally left few seconds later knowing they couldn't make fun of me anymore. Overall, I had a blast, and sang every song! I highly recommended it.

The show was great my complaint is that the equipment for the outside museum is Very VERY dated and most of the stuff was turned off you would think they would have money to bring it up to speed. It's a place to go 1 and that's about it don't see myself going again any time soon.

* Went to 50th Anniversary Gala in September 2025, and it was super fun! Took pictures of new exhibit about the history of Fiske. Recently went to see a cool show at Fiske Planetarium. They wouldn't allow any pictures or videos so this is all I have.

We had a great time at the Fiske Planetarium watching, “We are Stars.” The first show was great. The second laser show was tough to watch. We brought our two kids aged 3 & 5 and they thought the shows were awesome and they learned a lot. We will definitely come back!

PARK+DOG PARK+BIKE PARK Very nicely maintained & clean park with plenty of options for fun. The dog park has a small dog area for the little guys as well as water spigots. There are many options for bike park fun as well as a skate park/rail area, or just take a nice stroll around the park itself with a cute pond and well maintained & marked trails. There are porta-potties on site as well as trash AND recycling which is great.

Hands down the most amazing bike park I have been to!! It is sprawling with so many different areas and features including an amazing pump track, concrete skate and bike park, separate skate trick Park, and so many dirt trails, tracks, and even a crazy extreme area. I and my family absolutely love this place and it is such a city treasurer!!!

Great bike park for all ages. Even if you don't bike a lot or often it's a fun play to ride around and check out things. Lots of signage explaining directions of trails and skill level/purpose of the trails. Highly recommend you check out this bike park.

Such a great afternoon on the jump side of the park. My 11 year old son has experienced all sides of the valmont bike park and by far, the jump side not only is a super fun track but also the people were kind, fun and helpful.

Valmont Bike Park is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. It offers trails for every skill level — from beginners to advanced riders — with well-designed routes and plenty of space for jumps and technical practice. The grounds are well maintained, and the signs make navigation easy. The atmosphere is safe and family-friendly, perfect for spending time outdoors and improving your biking skills. Definitely a place you’ll want to return to again and again!

One of the most diverse bike parks around. Pump track skate park and loads of dirt jumps, dirt pumps/loops, and features.

Trees, great dogs and their peeps, two spigot for water swing hammock and chairs for the humans. Safe and well lit for my human. And always be cautious and on the lookout at any DOG park. GOD bless

What a fabulous local museum! We came specifically for the black history exhibit and we’re not disappointed. Learning about these leaders from the African-American community was a sensational opportunity to expand our knowledge. The displays upstairs about Boulder and the natural environment are really impressive. Overall, the museum is well organized and has information for visitors of every age. Even on a cloudy day, the visit to the rooftop patio of for excellent views of the Flat Irons. Even though I don’t have kids, I was intrigued by the Google maker-space and all of the cool things that young folks can make on their visit to the museum. Be sure to visit the well-stocked gift shop— there’s lots of interesting items for kids.

Great little museum! I love all things history so even information about this small town's history was enjoyable. One of the best and funniest things I learned was that the Grand Wizard of the KKK had a special designed saddle. When he died, another white man got it (don't recall the details), that man later decided to sell it and a black man bought in. That is just one of many stories you can learn at this history museum.

The museum was good. It was a bit pricey though. They have nice historical exhibits and nice children’s areas. It is multi levels and they have both stairs and elevators. The parking lot is too small and we got the last space there and it was really a tight space. The grandkids enjoyed playing there. The employees are pleasant and friendly.

It’s a nice spot to escape bad weather, but many of the features are in need of repair or improvement. The musical tree doesn’t work, the color wheels have several broken buttons and a missing disc, and the mini farm stand has no produce. There’s a charming area with foam blocks and a wooden building station (though younger children will need adult help), and a quiet corner with a few books. The highlight is a room where kids can jump on wooden honeycombs to make music — it’s genuinely fun but it too only works sporadically. Overall, it’s decent for up to an hour, especially if it’s not crowded (since only a few stations are fully functional). The space has real potential to be much more engaging with a bit of maintenance and investment.

A very good museum to visit if you're new to Boulder as a resident or just visiting. The permanent exhibit outlines all the key components of Boulder history from the American Indian influence to the artistic, scientific, and outdoor related activities. The temporary exhibit of the Hispanic influence is excellent, and portions of which should be incorporated in the permanent exhibit. A number of areas will interest the kids, so bring them along! More recently, a great new exhibit that outlines the contributions of multiple black Coloradans. Definitely a must see!

I particularly liked the African American exhibit and thought it was extremely well done and incredibly informative. Signage wasn't super clear about what was where so it was the only exhibit I saw, as I was alone and did not want to go to the (occupied) children's area. I did go to the rooftop, but since it was snowy and cold there was really nothing there. I kind of just went at the wrong time. Spent $10 for my ticket, students may be cheaper.

Awesome! Love the market! My kids LOVE getting fresh pretzels and fruit. They also sell the Boulder ice pops which are a huge hit with lots of great flavors. There is usually a balloon man—another great find for families. In the food trucks area there’s some really great lemonades and drinks. Also many vegan/vegetarian options at the market side and usually vegan icecream which is really good. Local meat, sweets, fruits, veggies, and beautiful seasonal flowers at many booths. Super cool place and snap/wic friendly which is great if you need it. It’s a great time and a short walk to the water and one street over from the lovely downtown shops.

The Boulder Farmers Market is an absolute must-visit. Forget your regular grocery run—this is a true celebration of local, fresh food and community spirit! From the moment you arrive, the energy is infectious. The vendors are genuinely nice folks, and you can feel the pride they take in their produce. You'll find incredible fresh, local food—from vibrant, seasonal vegetables to artisan cheeses, baked goods, and prepared meals. Everything is grown or raised right here in Colorado. It's a great place to be on a Saturday morning. Not only is the food spectacular, but the atmosphere is bustling and lively, often complete with live music and plenty of seating to enjoy your breakfast or lunch finds. If you want a genuine taste of Boulder and a chance to support local farmers, this is where you need to be.

The Boulder Farmers Market was a great place to purchase your locally sourced fresh goods. Buy some flowers for your home or loved ones. Buy some freshly locally sourced honey. Come hungry and support your local food vendors by eating some crepes, pizza or (fill in the blank). I definitely had a great time and will be stopping by again.

This was a super fun thing to do while visiting Boulder. Many different booths and tents with a wide variety of home grown veggies and fruits, specialty foods, and other items to choose from. Free to walk around. We left witha bag of goodies!

We visited this place on Saturday afternoon expecting to see the farmer produce. To our utter surprise we got treated with wonderful artwork and photographs, paintings, sculptures and jewelry. It is absolutely amazing to experience the summer afternoons at this lively place. Parking as always would be little difficult to find near the market, plenty of nice restaurants in the vicinity. Highly recommend this market to everyone visiting Colorado but do not expect to buy some fresh produce. People are friendly and art loving, nice decor all around and the art work to die for

My family and I visited on August 6, 2025. It was my second visit (first in 1998). It was even better than I’d remembered. The movie before the tour was great and very informative. The tour was interesting and our guide was enthusiastic and friendly. The gift shop is amazing and the employees were very attentive. Everyone loved being able to sample as many teas as they liked. It was so much fun for all. We all walked away with several flavors we’d never seen in the grocery stores. Everything is presented in such a lovely manner with all the artwork and teapots. I highly recommend anyone in the area paying a visit to this local treasure.

The Celestial Seasonings tea tour was an enchanting journey through fragrant gardens and cozy corners, where each sip told a story. The mint room was a breath of fresh magic, truly ‘ce’mint’ing the experience with its cool, invigorating aroma. Every moment was steeped in wonder and whimsy, making it a delightful escape for the senses. A must-visit haven where tea leaves dance and memories are brewed to perfection!

Well this was just delightful! For a few bucks, this was easily an hour's worth of information, entertainment, and sampling. The tour was really informative, and our tour guide had a good sense of humor. The gift shop has way more than just tea for purchase, and things are reasonably priced. The samples were great! They'll give you as much as you want. Bonus tip: Don't miss the photo ops in the tasting room with the sleepytime bear. (Sexy husband not included!)

Toured the celestial seasonings headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. Before or after the tour you can sample a variety of iced and hot teas. The tours are very frequent and the tickets are sampled of tea. Really enjoyed the tour learning how they make the tea from mixing to production to distribution. It was such a cool experience. The last stop on the tour was the tea shop where you could buy a wide variety of items including teas, their new cold brew teas and merchandise.

We really enjoyed our visit. They have about eight different teas that are ready to try and a large list that they will make upon request. No photos of the factory because they do not allow it but here are a few of the tasting room and the menu for for samples. They also have a gift shop where you can grab lots of different tea bags that are normally not available on shelves in stores.

Fantastic stop whenever we’re traveling through! Love the tea tastings and little art museum. The flavor themed paintings and sculptures are beautiful, and you obviously can’t beat the tea! They keep 6 or so hot and cold flavors in big pitchers and you can also taste any additional tea from the menu, made just for you. We will definitely be back and will do the tour next time!

What a great hike! Jay at the welcome station was awesome and took his time explaining to us our options. We took our time as we arrived the day before and ensured we were hydrated.

The scrambles are absolutely amazing…. But please be careful, you can get in trouble if you go past your level of skill and confidence. Some of them might require climbing shoes, some others can be done with running shoes. Make sure you check a route that matches your experience in scrambling/climbing… and don’t forget to enjoy the views!

It’s a great trekking place. So plan ahead. You need good hours so you can trek and be back. If not you can be in the fields for a good view and photos. But worth the drive.

Nice trails and you can freesolo 2 of them, with experiences and caution of course. Be safe from weather changes.

Cost for a single day of paddling at Boulder Reservoir with your own board: $75 $5 entry $70 permit - it doesn’t matter that you go for just the day; you have to buy a season permit. Fine for violating this is $1,000 and/or 3 months in prison.

Water was pretty clean compared to other reservoir. Swimming area is also comparatively bigger. Swimming area closes at 6 pm. Nice facility to take a shower. Entrance fee is applicable per person and not per vehicle.

I reserved the beach view for a day after my wedding to spend with family and friends. It was perfect! The volleyball court, restrooms, and set up was everything we needed. We rented kayaks and paddle boards and had a permit to swim. Great experience! 10/10

The reservoir is beautiful, there's a nice bike path that runs through it. Unfortunately, if you ride your bike through, you cannot enter back without paying the park fee.

The Boulder Rez Marathon is held here, which was the original reason for the visit to this park, which has a paid entrance. The race was well managed, and the views of the Rockies and reservoir were outstanding even though the loop around the reservoir does get monotonous. One loop is a little over 6 miles, so you need to run around the reservoir 4 times. In any event, whether you're running the half, 3/4, or full marathon, the Boulder Rez is a super challenging race when the weather is warm!

Boulder reservoir as the name suggest is a reservoir made for supplying water to the Boulder county. But during summer it becomes a place for water sports, picnic, boating and many other fun activities. The ironman triathlon and few other competitions are held here. The public amenities are amazing. There are picnic areas and tents set up for everyone to enjoy. There are ample parking and restrooms for everyone but during the summer weekends and competitions it becomes crowded. I would not recommend taking your dogs and pets there. During winter this place becomes dry and lifeless. There’s a small pirate ship for keeping the kiddos busy. At some place it could be little tidy and heap the beach is not clean always. I found broken glasses

Loved the outdoor patio! The food was wonderful, especially the fennel slaw and the blackened salmon blt. The self guided brewery tour was a nice sneak peak of their process. Love that they’re dog and cyclist friendly. Close to Boulder. Huge selection of awesome beers brewed on site.

Great beer, friendly staff and a comfortable outdoor atmosphere to drink beer with friends. They have a huge selection of on draft beer and are kind enough to let you taste before you buy. We didn’t have any food but it looked great. I’d go back with friends or family, it’s a spacious, great brewery.

Had the absolute best time here! Service was fantastic and the food was so good! We tried 6 different brews and all of them were great. Even had $5 pints since it was Tuesday which was a nice little surprise. We will 100% be back to visit our next time through Colorado

My husband and I had a great time on our tour of Avery Brewing! Gabe was a fantastic guide and provided thoughtful information about the brewing process and what sets Avery apart from the rest. We enjoyed trying all the tastings and discussing the flavor profiles of each type of beer. We'd highly recommend this brewery tour to anyone visiting the Boulder area!

Stopped by for lunch after doing the Celestial Seasonings tour and the food and service were excellent. I’d never had brisket and wow I am a fan now. We all loved our food and were stuffed when we left.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Avery Brewing for years, but my recent visit with my family, including my newborn baby, left me deeply disappointed. During our meal, I went to change my baby in the women’s restroom and found the only changing table in unacceptable condition: it was covered in used wipes, a used diaper, paper towels, and was next to a bucket of cleaning chemicals. Given the state of the facility, I made the decision to change my baby discretely on the ground, on a sanitary pad, near our patio table and behind our stroller. While doing this, the on-duty manager approached and told me I was not allowed to change my newborn baby there. I approached her again after I had finished the task and explained that I had checked the restroom first and even showed her a photo of the unsanitary conditions. She told me she didn’t care and that it was the rule, no diaper changes outside, apparently no matter the condition of the provided facilities. She also suggested my husband try the men’s room instead, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. What was most upsetting wasn’t just the lack of a clean space to care for my child, but the complete lack of understanding or empathy from the manager. Her attitude completely undercut the excellent service we had received from our waiter. He earned the redemptive second star in this review. As a parent and longtime customer, I expect better. We won’t be returning, and I hope Avery takes this feedback seriously, maintains cleaner facilities, and trains staff to support families with small children in a more respectful and reasonable way.

Always a great experience but Knox steps it up every time! Great service, he is very attentive and personable! I love when you go to a taproom and they actually want you try new beers without it seeming like a task. Keep it up we will be back for the delicious beer and hope Knox is there also! Those nachos tho!!!!!👌

An extremely elegant and extensive library, particularly for a city of this size. There are two capacious sections, connected with a bridge spanning the rushing, pulsating waters of Boulder Creek. The bridge and the entire structure is built with the rusticated red stone that makes architecture in this region distinctive and gives the streets of Boulder a heavy, Romanesque touch, combined in this building with a bit of modern glasswork, done in an artful way that is not overbearing. I adore the art going everywhere here at the library, from all kinds of artists: when I visited, there was whimsically stylish art based on the letters of the alphabet, transformed into little colorful bursts of design, as well as a section dedicated to Korean folktales that I also greatly enjoyed. I cannot recommend this library enough for those seeking a place of learning, art, and contemplation.

Best public library I have been to. The architecture is amazing.

The main branch of the Boulder Public Library is really special, and worth visiting even if you are merely visiting Boulder. It is truly a community center - meeting rooms for events, plenty of public resources, and one of the coolest makerspaces around (BLDG 61). The cafe over the creek is a charming place to read a chapter or two with a cup of tea. Library staff are balanced, reasonable and helpful to patrons. Recent challenges have been admirably overcome. Do not skip the gallery! Very cool artwork.

The local library is a testimony to how much children and seen and cared for in the city. The Boulder Library greatly respects and honors children and families. Here’s how: feeding families with a cereal and milk story time; bathrooms that have specially designed child-size toilets (and likely expensive and intentional plumbing to manage each) so that parents can use the toilet and their child can have dignity while using the restroom independently; story time in multiple languages with librarians who sing, dance, read (with excellent voices), play instruments and build amazing community. Did I mention the connected COFFEE SHOP? Delightful. You pass through a tunnel that contains a magical reading nook and passes over a rushing river/creek. Toys for days. Trains, blocks, etc. Playground outdoors with a lovely backdrop. If you get the chance to say hello to the librarian, encourage them because their work is incredibly important. They will likely leave you with oodles of local resources to continue building your little one into an avid reader and responsible citizen. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This library is a community place and it feels good to be there. And in that regard you meet and interact with a wide variety of people The building is great, a lot of windows, a lot of light. It is also very voluminous, so you don't feel trap. It is also easy to navigate between the two levels. Also, it is very well located and the parking is free for the first 90 minutes which is pretty generous. It is very close to Pearl Street where you can go have a drink or shop. One cool thing the Library provide is the access to two study room that you can rent for 2 hour block at a time. Try to book it a few days early because slots can go very fast. The staff is cool and very helpful and passionate. Most of the people you will meet are the students. Looking for books downstairs, studying upstairs or hang out outside. The other big population around is the house less people. When the weather is cold, it can be challenging to find a spot to study, to read a magazine or to use a computer. But as I said earlier, it is a community spot and everybody is welcomed.

I really enjoyed this public library and what it has to offer. I'm new to the area and needed a place to work and the library offered everything I needed and more. It's true that paying for parking and only being able to park for 3 hrs is a hassle but ypu can park for free on 9th Street if you find a spot. Only a few feet from the library. In the library you will find a cafe with very friendly employees serving great coffee and food. You have the views of the mountains and the river that actually runs under the library and off course all the books you will ever need to read.

Went to see the Boulder Comedy Festival a few weeks ago, it was awesome!! The comedians were great!! Please keep the comedy going at the Dairy Arts. Can't wait until next year's show.

A fine ballet, arts, and social complex. We have been to many varied events here and always find the atmosphere and programming outstanding. They have the largest selection of alcohol I have ever seen at an arts venue.

Saw Ms Sherlock and Ms Watson..it was wonderful! A bit long- 2.5 hrs- but so much fun!

Every now and then we enjoy spending an evening with Boulder's arty folks. The Dairy Arts Center is the perfect place to do that. For example, we recently enjoyed a wonderful play in the Grace Gamm Theater there, which is just one venue at the Center. There is a large art gallery space as well. On theatre nights, one can also take advantage of the wine bar. Our only quibble is that parking is inadequate and the overflow parking at neighboring office buildings is a bit of a walk, especially during wintery weather.

Wonderful venue. We saw a limited release art film in the Boedecker theater. Great acoustics, comfortable high back seats, and wide row spacing. Libations and snacks sold in the lobby.

I was a little disappointed that there was an abundance of construction right in front of the building when I was there (August 2024) and no clear way of how to reach the museum. Better and clearer signage would have certainly helped. Still, this museum is a thoroughly pleasant delight. There were hardly any crowds, owing to the construction most likely, and the exhibits provided both pleasure and entertainment. The dinosaur exhibit is probably the most popular, and I appreciated the information about not just the dinos themselves but how their bones and tracks are found. I already know a lot about the geologic history of Colorado, but it was nice to see it displayed so comprehensively. I also quite adore the cafe/rest area downstairs, with dazzling antique furniture that has a European sheen to it, as well as a topographical model of Antarctica, surrounded by cogent information about how scientists survive in that climate. Though small, the museum is free and absolutely charming.

Nice museum. Self tours. Very clean and spacious. I enjoyed seeing how this museum encourages families to bring in young children. The activities and stations set up make this seem like a great place for those who home school.

The big selling point for my friend and I was that this museum is free. For the two floors and four different rooms, we ended up spending about an hour. The fossils are really neat, and there were more of them than I expected to see. We parked in the Euclid parking garage. Came in on a Sunday and we only saw other people in passing, it was great!

Although the museum is small, it covers a lot of ground. There’s a great fossil room with many cast replicas and a few original fossils. I really like the ammonites and the large sample of petrified wood. My husband likes the sabertooth tigers and other felids— they have very interesting shoulder blade anatomy. There are also some interesting pottery examples, and different types of clovis points downstairs. The museum is free of charge. There are restrooms and a drinking fountain. There’s a small gift shop with a few items that I share to please children.

A very nice place to visit on the Univ of Colorado campus, right near the bookstore. Best place to park is the Euclid parking garage - just a couple minute walk to the museum. The museum has a great set of galleries, each with a focused science or natural history topic. Our favorite was the main floor fossil gallery with some very unique specimens. A great place for young kids also. And free!

Very cool, especially the fossil room. The triceratops skull is gone, but there are several other skulls that are really impressive. Across the way is a small lounge about replanting apple trees, plus a small audio space where you can hear the forest. Downstairs, there is a archeological cache of prehistoric hand tools that were found just nearby. Across from that is a really nice Bio Lounge with comfortable chairs and beautiful pictures of the arctic on the walls.

It's a beautiful building that's free to go to. Donations accepted! I learned a lot. Great for a couple hours to learn and clear your head! Highly recommend! The front desk woman was absolutely wonderful and nice! Thank you

Clean park & playground with beautiful views! The playground is unique and offers lots of fun climbing & exploring options. The main structure itself is probably best for bigger kids; it's a bit high and exposed for toddlers.

This park is a winter wonderland, especially after a fresh snowfall! The small hills are perfect for sledding fun. Visiting Boulder, we stumbled upon this gem, grabbed a sled from a nearby sports store, and the kids had a blast for hours! The scenic creek adds a touch of beauty to the whole experience. ❄️🛷🏞️

A lot of open space for multiple activities and families. Skate/bike park is awesome. The park is good for all ages. I bring my kids here often for picnics and to enjoy all the amenities. Pool is nice to cool off. It is clean except some trash around the tables. It is also a great place for sledding in the winter.

This is beautiful park with lots of activities for kids. However, this park now has a large presence of homeless people, which has become an all to common theme with any nice space in Boulder.

I'm not sure what the experience is like here. I tried sending e-mails to the admissions department for the last couple of weeks to get more information about their Neuroscience program and begin the application process but I haven't had anyone respond to my e-mails, call, leave voice mail, or respond to my calls into their department. The Registrar's office informed me they have no way of communicating with admissions or sending them messages, just transfer me back to an automated voice that hangs up after stating thank you for being patient with us while we resume normal business hours. How am I supposed to apply or learn anything if the staff don't even know how to reply to an e-mail about this? I really liked the Neuroscience program detailed here. I guess I have to go somewhere else since this has been my experience over the past couple of weeks during the inquiry process.

One of the most beautiful campuses I have visited. Spectacular landscape with mountains on the side, and the buildings are uniquely colored due to locally sourced limestone. Highly recommend for few hours to be spent here to anyone passing by Boulder.

Students at a football game were completely inhumane in the things they said to me. I‘m not a player, and yet they were saying disgusting things from slurs to threats. This is not a school that teaches morals of any kind. I am one of many, many people that experienced the same thing. If you want your child to become a decent human being, this is not the place for them.

Profits are ranked leagues above academia or students. Will give out a degree to anyone who is willing to pay. Beautiful campus though.

The stately, majestic campus of one of the great universities of the American West. I must admit that I'm a little biased toward Colorado Boulder, having grown up in the Colorado front range region, but returning to this campus, I am even more impressed by its magnificence and its sprawling beauty than I was when I was younger. The campus is a wonderful, lively place to wander around and explore, seeing a variety of new sites ranging from a scale model of the solar system to a lovely little prairie like area that has carrots growing in it. This is a place that feels constantly surprising, and it's never boring when you are walking through it, yet the campus feels remarkably unified. Despite the differences in when the buildings were constructed, they all feel cohesive, and they all have that specific reddish-brown stone color that glows in the mountain sunlight, making the campus look both like a site for true learning and comprehension and a distinctly Colorado place that could not exist anywhere else. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area, and if you are considering going to the University of Colorado Boulder, I guarantee you that you will enjoy your time at this campus.

Our son is a student at CU Boulder and we couldn't be more happy with his decision to be a buff. A fantastic academic institution with a diverse student population and (in my opinion) the prettiest campus in the world. Absolutely love the place!

Surrounded by mountains and greenery, an awesome place to get your degree from!! Wintery days are gloomy but the mountains compensate for those once snow starts. The temp in peak winter (Feb-March) drops to as low as -25 degree C (-13 F). The spring brings a new life to the place and the beauty gets enhanced by blooming flowers all around.

A Beautiful and Refreshing Hike! I had such a pleasant experience hiking the Flagstaff Mountain Trail in Boulder, Colorado. The trail is well-maintained and offers a nice mix of gradual inclines and flatter sections, making it accessible for most fitness levels. The real highlight, though, is the view—absolutely stunning! From multiple lookout points, you get sweeping vistas of Boulder and the surrounding foothills. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful walk, a bit of light exercise, or just to soak in the natural beauty. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Great place for a picnic. We did the boys scout trail. The trail is not that long and it's not challenging.

Very easy for a family of different abilities. We went with a group of 15 and we all had fun. Trails are easy to walk with incredible views of Boulder and the valley below. It can be a long adventure or a short. Bathrooms all around. Drive was beautiful up the mountain.

This place is amazing. The view is always jaw dropping. Make it to the top, oneside has an amazing view of the city of Boulder and beyond, wonder the other way and enjoy a fantastic view into the rockies. Everytime I come to Boulder it's the first thing I do.

We only went up mountain to the first parking area. Beautiful scenic view of Boulder and surrounding area for many miles. Also, great view of Flatiron formations to south. The area is well maintained. We were there in first week of March, in between snow events, so the road up was accessible to all vehicles. If snow is present, I understand some vehicles are limited. The access road begins at a great open space hiking area.

It was worth the ride. Absolutely beautiful view from the top of the mountain. Luckily we had reception on our phones and could video call folks to show them the beauty. Don't forget to carry a water bottle.

Ozo coffee is my favorite coffee and I always make it a point to stop here when I'm in Colorado. The honey lavender latte is a favorite of mine. My dog also enjoys the pup cups & the staff is always friendly.

Ozo is a calm haven of specialty coffee and spacious seating. Like pourovers? This is the spot: there’s a selection of 4+ options, and they’ll let you smell the beans to get a sample for your senses. The flavors themselves were unique, and single-origin sourced from all over. My Colombian Ombligan pourover tasted like toasted cranberries melded into a mellow cup of Joe. Lovely aesthetic served in ceramic. The space is clean and minimalist with a small splash of wall artwork and plants. Additional amenities: local artist crafts, small back patio, and self-service water. Great playlist too. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Topher! Coffee score: 4.5/5. This is a great coffee shop downtown Boulder. Always consistent, always friendly people. They have great local drinks like Agua Fresca and it looks like they will soon to carry lit lemonade.

Got the honey lavender oat latte and it was so good . The right amount of sweetness, so soft and smooth Also I love their approach to less waste . They have very nice reusable cups for $2 not a plastic one! Also boxes / buckets for beans. So simple but it is actually works! I wish more places would be the same with simple things to have less waste!

A busy little cafe on Pearl Street. The coffee was excellent, albeit we felt the cup sizes were smaller than in other cafés. We enjoyed the coffee cakes (the banana nut flavor was our favorite) and there was a diaper changing station available in the restroom for our baby, which was extremely helpful. It was a little hard to find tables for the four of us, but we were able to make do.

Wonderful coffee shop! Coffee is delicious. The place is clean. Baristas alone get 5 stars for friendliness. Perfect to get some work done, get a drink by yourself, or meet up with friends.

Visited this place for the first time a few weeks ago and now I’m a teensy bit obsessed. Their farm stand is Instagram-adorable and packed full of fresh fruits and vegetables. I got some of the best honeycrisp apples I’ve ever tasted and a bag full of other goodies. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and before we left we spent some time petting the cute little goats. Excited for my next trip to Cure already.

We’ve been going to this farm stand a lot this year to support local farmers more and avoid stores. Their broccoli is seriously amazing, it tastes like no other! They are always super friendly and we love the selection. We also bought some of their pickled green beans to snack on and they taste great. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to try some of their pickled watermelon rind, I would highly recommend it. Their meats are also spectacular especially the steak.

Love this farmstand for fresh eggs, meat, veggies and more. Plus our son loves to visit the goats just behind the gardens.

Just… WOW. If you like exploring bookstores, honestly this place is worth an hour drive (or more!). If you’re just browsing, give yourself adequate time — it’s 3 floors of literary goodness. It’s laid out well, with a few maps of the layout to help you get your bearings. There are a mix of new and used books, at a wide range of pricing: new books at full price, used books at a fair price, and a few areas with deeper sales on new and used books. They sell more than just books. You can also find book-related items: reusable totes, blank notepads, bookmarks (including some free ones, located right at the top of the stairs going to the second floor), book-related shirts & hats, stickers, pins, stationary, etc. Boulder Bookstore is a staple of the city, and if you’re into books at all, it can’t be missed.

Old, three-story, winding bookstore with vast categories and a really nice, chill vibe. Probably one of the coolest bookstores I have ever been to, has so many different and unique rooms that you can almost get lost. They also allow dogs which is cool and a fun plus. Would totally recommend.

This is the kind of place that I most associated with Boulder. When I think of Boulder as a city. Quirky and ethereal stores like this come to my mind. I enjoyed the sensory feasts the displays evoked as I just wandered around and enjoyed the light, airy atmosphere. The kites and such were so colorful and a lot of families were wandering around, playing with the displays and clearly enjoying themselves. There were a few kids blithely running around, in such a carefree manner you would think they were at Disney World. That's the kind of response this place evokes, and I think adults feel it as strongly as kids. In the back, there is a glow-in-the-dark room that looks like a mix of some sci-fi dreamworld and a psychedelic landscape straight from the 1960s. Come here and enjoy the playful, wondrous atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing store! Of course wind has a lot to play into the selection of products but the amount of fun little trinkets they have is fantastic. I’ve never seen so many fun little things in one place from black light posters to mini rubber chickens this store has so much to offer. Absolutely 10/10 recommend

I wish I had more time in this shop because there are so many things to see, including the ceiling! There was a great selection of kites, wind chimes, puzzles, games, fidgets, marbles, sensory toys, glow in the dark items, science kits, books, musical instruments, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful, and I purchased several gifts for upcoming birthdays and Christmas.

Into the wind excellent little consignment store souvenir shop in Boulder Colorado. Off pearl st stop by say high to the wonderful ladies they are great highly recommended. Plus enjoy the beautiful scenery.

What a fun store! All of the colors make me happy! Believe me when I tell you that there's something for everyone in this store. The ceiling is covered in cool, colorful kites, wind chimes, sun catchers etcetera. There are lots of assorted cool things like games, puzzles, gag gifts, wind-up toys, black light posters and a zillion more fun, cool or funky little items. I can imagine quite a bit of time is whiled away in this place!

My son loved the walk and checking out the river. Saw some crayfish biggns too. Nice rock path leading across one pond. Just watch were you step goose landmines. No restrooms that I was aware of, benches to rest, trail to walk or bike ride on.

There is no legal parking during the week. It's a childrens fishing pond, but it was overcrowded with adults fishing eleagaly. No I can't recommend this spot. And it used to be a good fishing spot in the 70s

No fish in there. I wish Boulder would spend a few bucks on stocking the pond full. Fun crawdad hunting though

This is a very kind consideration for beginning children fishers! I did see some adult only parties fishing w guilty faces. Wow. Sad. On a great note, my nephew is 8 and caught his first ever fish - a rainbow trout - TOTALLY unassisted here. A great memory!

We were in Boulder for spring break and wanted a fun indoor activity to do with our 7 year old girls. They had never been rock climbing before. From the moment we entered, Stef made us feel welcome and put the girls nerves at ease. The gym is awesome and perfect for kids to learn and advance. We spent three hours here and the girls had an absolute blast. Couldn’t recommend this spot more. We will be back every time we are in Boulder!! Thx ABC Climbing for a great family experience.

My daughter (almost 4) has been involved at ABC kids since she was 2.5. We have had such a good experience with the classes and different instructors! We’ve done mini monkey, 1, mini monkey 2, and monkey 1! We have loved them all!! I love that you can start classes at 2.5 year olds too! I do prefer the weekday morning classes for littles if you’re able- the gym is less crowded which is super nice!

Really fun and very reasonably priced for open gym. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were great climbing options for my kids ranging from age 6-16.

I like your place but why don’t you disclose that you charge studio fee? It is common practice to disclose all fees and costs upfront. No one likes hidden fees at the end. I think you provide a fun experience and I would like to continue to support your place but fair disclosure on prices is a basic consumer right. I suggest you post that on your wall or mention upfront. Also your payment system forces people to tip. You may want to make that optional. If the people working there are simply getting paid with tip, please disclose that and then we can be more generous. Transparency is what most of us want.

A little on the pricier side, as far as kids activities go (roughly $25/each + tip), but everyone had a great time! We would definitely come back for a birthday party. Free 2-hour street parking was pretty easy to find on a mid-week afternoon, which was a pleasant surprise. Requiring a tip was unexpected, though, especially since the only staff member working was too busy to help us or walk us through the process. We just had to figure it out on our own.

We brought our dance team for a holiday party to this location. We had the BEST time! The owner really took the time to figure out our best options for the party, considering our different age groups. She came up with the cutest idea and both kids and parents loved it. Once there the staff was so helpful and patient. It was such a great family environment. Will definitely be coming back here again. Such a great experience!

I came here a while ago but just found my little bear that I made and thought about it again. I absolutely love this place for a date day, friend hang out, or even going by yourself. It's such a nice ambiance here I just really love it. They don't just have stuff you can paint. They have useful things that you can paint. I painted a little honey bear and it came out great! The employees were also so nice.

GO TO THIS COLOR ME MINE. if you want to paint pottery please chose this location over the others. I personally am very very familiar with the pottery business and in Colorado this is the location you want to spend your money at. The staff is unbelievable. My wife held her book launch event here as a way to incorporate some fun with the very important topic she wrote about. This was a nice atmosphere for a small private event. We had 15-20 people and provided our own drinks and food. Everyone had a great time and paid for their own pottery. We would definitely recommend trying them out for a unique experience.

i love this place!! i have been going here for well over a decade and have never had a bad experience! great for parties and making gifts!! i have made many home items from here that i use daily! my kiddos fave mug in the works was made here!! it’s also a great way to personalize your house through switch plates, ornaments and address plates!!

Kinda lame place that none of the freshman have any reason to go to. Only thing that really made it a tolerable experience for me is that I saw this bird while I was taking the bus all the way here in order to park my car so that I could take the bus back to Will Vill so I could a tally drive my car. Pro tip, don't get a parking pass in a 500 lot.

The reputation preceded my visit, but I wanted to experience for myself. From the moment we walked in it was apparent that this was a very different high excellence experience. The number of servers who seamlessly work together to provide world class service that walks the fine line of familiarity and professionalism was extraordinary. The choice between the chefs fixed menu and the four choices was difficult but without unanimous buy in to partake in the extensive chefs menu, we decided to make our individual selections from the four course alacarte menus. We also added an irresistible optional pasta course that was well worth the extra calories. This is truly a special place at all levels. World class!

We're visiting from Memphis. First trip without the kids in 5 years. I found Frasca and knew I had to come here. The menu sounded phenomenal. Went to make a reservation and they offer a Chef's table! I was so excited; I never thought I'd get a chance to do one. It was worth it. Meeting some of the Chefs and hearing first hand about the dishes was incredible. (Sidenote the chefs were all really cool and friendly.) The staff was an important part of the experience. Everyone from Sergei and Jeremy, the GM and head Sommelier, to Sarah and Jesus, our servers made the experience special. And the food was beyond. I've had some high quality food, but this place really showed how every component on a dish matters and works together. Can't say enough good things about this place.

TL;DR: Their star is well-earned. Hospitality impeccable, food outstanding, wine pairings slap. Best place in Boulder, worth the price. We must like this place because we've returned three times, so it's time to review. We've come on Valentine's Day, anniversary, birthday - to sample three different seasonal menus. From our arrival for my birthday dinner I felt treated like a VIP. There was a minor serving accident that could have happened to anyone, and even though we did not complain, the staff all but tripped over themselves apologetically in an effort to make it right and ensure we had a good experience. The waitstaff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything they serve. Out of the 9-course meal, nearly every course knocked it out of the park. The appetizer and dessert courses in particular have given someone an opportunity to really show off their skills. They creatively blend flavors and textures I might not have expected, into a culinary powerhouse far more than the sum of its parts. Easily the best meal I’ve had in Boulder, on a level with Beckon in Denver. The one time I’ve had the wine pairing, each wine seemed carefully chosen to complement the dish it was served with, and the generous pours nearly bowled me over by the end of the night. I’m not educated enough in wine to order off their extensive wine list, nor rich enough to get appropriately educated, but if that’s you, I’d trust their sommeliers to make excellent suggestions. Even their cappuccino (from Boxcar in town) is expertly crafted and served with a house-made biscotti. The meal can last hours, and the cost makes this a place to go for a gift or special occasion, but to my mind it is worth every penny.

A gem in Boulder. An excellent experience each time we visit. Unmatched wine list, eclectic menu of seasonal offerings, and stellar service. It is worth going out of your way to enjoy this restaurant. As well, it serves to influence a growing culinary scene in the Boulder-Denver area.

Superior dining experience at Frasca. Service, food and atmosphere all deserving of the Michelin star. The stand out dishes were the A5 Waygu and the Risotto di marinara

Good atmosphere, Italian wines, Italian food, Italian hospitality in Denver. Foods are delicious. You will love the quality. I started with Canederli and carried with penne al Ragu di antra, Alaskan halibut(ippoglosso) which was extraordinary. Ciliegia for closing. Price performance rate is acceptable. When you are around, must do!

Did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Some of the cocktails were a little “meh”, and so I’d be more likely to do wine there in the future. The caviar on corn cake—one of the three starters—was probably the best bite of food I’ve had this year. The crudo (the second course) seemed a bit lacking to me, but others at the table really liked it. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

If you don't go to The Sink, you're missing out! Best burger I've had in recent memory. My friend had a pizza, and it was great too. Also, great espresso martini and margaritas. The food and drinks are only surpassed by the atmosphere. A really cool vibe. Don't miss out!

This food definitely catered to the American palette. Everything was overly sweet, The Cowboy Ruben was okay… very very sweet. The Straw Burger was just okay… a lot of bread and a lot of cheese. Spicy from the jalapeños but no flavor. My fries were a little stale and my husbands. Probably wouldn’t come again.

Best food ever! Please come to this place. If they say Reuben sandwich SAY YES! If they say french fries or sweet potato, take both! Best honey mustard I’ve ever tried in my life.

Such a fun experience! This placed was rec’d by some friends who used to live here. It’s a bit hole-in-the wall in all the best ways. Seems to be a Boulder institution. My H and I shared the spinach dip and the bacon jammin burger. Loved both. The house-made pickles were extra yummy. Loved the vibe of the place. The service was fast and super friendly. Definitely a must when visiting Boulder.

Went here a few weeks ago and still dreaming of their skillet chocolate chip cookie… it’s a MUST! The food is great, not the best burger I’ve ever had but pretty good regardless. The lavender cocktail was splendid, as well. Their ambience is probably the best part (other than the cookie), filled with eclectic hand-painted murals. On their video board, they have stories at the Sink, which gives it a very homey feel. I loved learning about its history. Highly recommend for a unique bite in the area!

We ate here as a group and everyone loved what they got! I had the goat cheese pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the art all around is wonderful to take in as you're eating. 10/10

Fun environment with great food. We were visiting from Michigan, and the manager came out to ask how our visit was. We appreciated his friendlies and sharing the history of The Sink with us. We would definitely eat here again.

Have been to shows a few times now & a good time was had at each show. Last night Max McNown was so enjoyable. Such energy on the stage & with the crowd. Perfect smaller venue to see a concert ❤️🎶

Really cool theater, I had never been here before but Mark Normand brought me so I had to come. I thought the seats would be uncomfortable but they were surprising super comfortable and they even slid back a little bit so they were even more comfortable! The bathrooms had enough stalls and were actually big enough that I could turn around and not have to step in pee to get out so it was just a quite enjoyable experience. The only downside was that AXS site was not working but that has nothing to do with the Boulder theater and they actually handle a bunch of tickets and we're very quick on their feet about acting.

I've been to many shows now at Boulder Theater and it's always been a great experience! Good sound and atmosphere. Concessions and bar prices aren't too bad. Plenty of options to eat/drink around the venue before the show as well. Z2 Entertainment is great. One of the few local companies left that weren't absorbed by AEG. Ticketing is through AEG, however. Being such a small venue, it's easy to get in and out of the building and there's no major traffic getting up to or leaving a show usually. With that being said, this is also a great place to see an artist or band perform in a smaller, more intimate setting.

I have only been to the Boulder Theatre once and it was for a formal event. However, the impression it left on me has made me want to go there for other events in the future. The venue was beautiful and the atmosphere was astounding. It got crowded, but it never felt suffocating or uncomfortable. I have heard amazing things about the shows hosted there, and it is spectacular no matter what event you go there for. It is a must-go-to Boulder staple and I look forward to going there for other events in the future.

Great venue, easy to get to, good drinks, seating available if needed. Good acoustics!

Bought tickets to Rocky Picture Horror Show, got in line an hour early and there were zero seats. Absolutely none. There were hundreds of people just standing in crowds in the back of the theater and nobody could see anything. The only reason it’s getting a 2 star is because the staff was super nice

Good selection of unique truffles. I bought the strawberry balsamic chocolate and it was good, though I couldn’t taste much strawberry flavor (heavier flavor profile towards dark chocolate and balsamic). Staff did not seem very friendly or helpful, but we got what we ordered just fine.

Stepping into Piece love Chocolate is a truly delightful escape! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with cute, quiet vibes that make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a treat. And oh, the treats! I can honestly say their Caramel Mocha is hands down the best I have ever had. It’s perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with that wonderful rich caramel flavor dancing with the coffee. I've been searching for a mocha this good for ages, and I've finally found it. Beyond the incredible drinks, I also had the pleasure of attending their macaron class, and it was a fantastic experience. It was well-taught, fun, and left me feeling like a macaron master (or at least, well on my way!). The staff guiding the class were patient and lovely, making the whole time a joy. This place is more than just a bakery; it's a sweet little haven. Whether you're looking for an incredible coffee, a quiet place to unwind, or a fun and engaging class, you won't be disappointed. I can't recommend it highly enough!

I can’t recommend this chocolatier highly enough! I called with a last-minute request for over 400 truffles to hand out at a conference, and Lola was absolutely fantastic to work with. The communication was seamless, the turnaround time was incredible, and the willingness to go above and beyond was out of this world. The chocolates were a huge hit with everyone: beautifully made, delicious, and exactly what we needed to make an impression. I coordinated everything remotely, and from placing the order to delivering the treats into attendees’ hands, it was a smooth, stress-free, and successful experience. Thank you, thank you! We will absolutely be back when we're in Boulder again (and will plan ahead this time)!

I was attending a bachelorette party that would have a chocolate charcuterie board, so I googled chocolate store between Estes Park and Golden, whered I'd be staying. I wouldn't say I ordered too much because you can never have enough, but I did order quite a bit. They were so patient with me as I made all the important truffle making decisions. BTW I highly recommend the pistachio eclair.

The chocolates are pretty but super overpriced. We got 8 different flavors and we could barely taste anything but the chocolate. I also got a chocolate covered pretzel (not worth it) and an almond lace cookie (this was just okay). We also got a few macarons, which were pretty good. But it really says something about a chocolate place where the non chocolate items taste better than the actual chocolate.

All the desserts and chocolate truffles looked great. We tried Tiramisu, which was amazing, and Pistachio Eclair, which didn't really excite me, even though I love pistachio desserts. The atmosphere of the store was nice, and the service was very pleasant. The prices are higher, but that probably won't surprise you in downtown Boulder. Yeah, try it!

Parked around 4:30, but construction on Boulder Canyon Rd did not let you turn into the parking lot. Once I took Pearl to the parking lot, it was a great hike. You scramble at the beginning to get up to Anemone Loop. Then it is steady switchbacks that has about half sun half shade. It wasn't that bad and the crowds were light. Got to Anemone views and wish it was 2 hours later to see the sunset over the Rockies. This is a great loop to enjoy anytime!

Even I thought it will be the busiest trailhead parking, while when I visited in weekdays, about 10am, there were still a few park spots. The creek just behind the trailheas is crystal clear, a few benches there underneath the big tree, pretty comfortable in summer.maybe I can park here next time to visit red rock trail. Hope I can easily find a parking space.

This is my place to connect with the Earth and let my anxiety radiate away. Great variety of trails and free climbing options. I've seen plenty of cool wildlife there. It's pretty awesome for being right next to downtown Boulder. Just please pack your cans and roaches back out!

Great little park to visit. Short hikes with very rewarding views and scenery. Otherwise is also a paved path to Boulder and towards Ned that is along a river. At least one of the (2) main trails has a strong stream nearby and several large red rock out cropping a.

This was probably the first hike I ever did when i first visited Boulder 23 years ago or so. Its beautiful and sometimes forgotten like the review below. When we did it last week someone on lower trail in back told us he saw a bear… Just beautiful. Much shorter and less elevation gain than better known trails at Mount Sanitas and Chautauqua Park/Flatirons trails.

I parked in the parking lot and was there after dark. I’m in a van and often need to rearrange and clean up a bit before heading out. I’ve been hiking in the area all day and it was about 10 PM when I was finishing up, going through my van and cleaning it out when a Boulder police officer drove by and used it spotlight to blind me, they never said anything they just got closer and closer blinding me. The sign says they close at 11 PM so I’m not really sure what that was about, but I just left. I’ve been there later than that just to chill and unwind before going up the mountain where I won’t have service on my phone and seeing homeless people galore hanging out so I’m not really sure if the police presence is just intermittent or if I just got unlucky, but that’s my experience.

This store is incredible! The smell alone when you walk in will transport you! And luckily, they sell this signature scent! A beautifully curated collection of luxury and cozy. I always find something unique that I can't live without.

Hands down my favorite store in Boulder, not only because its clothing and home stores are filled with the most uniquely beautiful, well made and curated items, but also because of the people who work there. Christie is a kind, thoughtful, creative and diligently hardworking owner who has never made me feel like less than family over the years. All of her employees spend the extra time to learn about their customers preferences and will take the time to alert about brand drops that may be of interest, and make personalized suggestions that are always on point. This woman owned business is an absolute treasure and is a must see for locals and visitors alike.

Cedar & Hyde is my wife's absolute favorite store in Boulder, and every time I've visited with her, or solo looking for a gift, I have had a warm & helpful experience. They are incredibly thoughtful about the unique and beautiful items they offer, many created by smaller designers and producers. In addition to their clothing and jewelry selection, their Home section is the source of some of my favorite rugs, candles, and vases we have decorating our house. Christie, and everyone working there is amazing.

I stopped by the Cedar & Hyde Home Store looking for Mother's Day gifts and had such great experience! They really took the time to listen to the feeling I was going for. I found somthing meaningful and beautiful for both my Mom and Mother in law. I also found the perfect pair of jeans next door at their clothing store. It was fun to extend the experience and find someting for myself. The staff is really the best - they are kind & attentive and I think they were almost as excited as I was about finding the perfect thing! I had a sweet conversation with the owner while I was in the store and I can tell she cares deeply about creating an intentional, personalized experience in an inviting space. The stores are beautiful & calming and the item curation is informed by an empicable eye for design and style. I absolutely love this store! Highly recommend!!

Art in ‘pieces’ Usually, a wonderful shopping experience until art purchase. Review is for co-owner - Christie L. In store first wk Dec 2024. Saw MQuan Art ceramic hanging in store. Store would not sell display piece. Ordered, paid, and told not refundable. Piece greater than 2K plus shipping. Worked with manager, Cori, who stated piece would be over 2 months in receiving and first shipped to Cedar & Hyde for ‘inspection’ then to us out of state. Asked for art photo prior to sending as it was a ceramic piece and wanted same colors,etc as store display - and, it was art paid for. Four months passed, contacted store first time to check on piece April 2025. Had not heard anything from store prior. Finally, heard back, piece ‘being made’. Received art directly from artist in NY and charged $75 for shipping. Art was in ‘pieces’ and was to be assembled by us according to instructions and ‘number’. This was neither conveyed in store at time of purchase, prior to shipping or by store email. Picture sent by store/artist prior to shipping showed art assembled as in store. Note this is a fragile assembly of ceramic discs of varying colors. If damaged by us in assembly, would be ruined and non refundable. After numerous curt emails with C & H owner, Christie, refusing return of piece and her misrepresentation of art, need for assembly and no ‘inspection’, she asked the artist to refund piece and also offered ‘someone’of our choice to assemble the piece for us at her cost? Eventually, I returned the art to the artist at a cost of $80 that C&H, Christie, would not cover. Christie, agreed to credit art(only) from artist, when disassembled art received ‘undamaged’. We buy art globally & have shipped. This was the most difficult experience and rude store owner we’ve ever encountered. We’re out $80 through this entire experience. Never do business at this store - especially if you’re expecting integrity, quality and customer service. Store in Boulder CO. Owner from KS. Art is a large piece, yet easily shipped in tact with proper art packing and charge of $75.This email was Christie’s last response to requesting $80 return shipping fee: Remember, it was also up to us to find an ‘assembler’… Owner will respond “it was all on us as buyers to assemble and take responsibility it wasn’t damaged in doing so.” Hi Beth, We will not be refunding you the $80 you paid to send the piece back. There was nothing wrong with the piece. We made an exception to give you a refund on a special order, which is not our policy. We paid the $75 to get it to you, which is not our policy. As always if there is a waterfall I’m there. Hope you enjoy the view and the peaceful sounds of nature as much as I do. If you’re a climber 🧗‍♀️ this is definitely a great place to climb and you won’t be alone. I hear it’s a hit amongst climbers with much historical knowledge about a tight roper who would go from one peak to another prior to the use of safety gear. Don’t forget your safety gear ⚙️ I need you to practice safety even if you’re just hiking the trails. Enjoy!😉

We decided to go here as a last minute idea before we had to take a flight home. We're glad we did because this place was spectacular. The trails circulating the river provided beautiful views of the large rock formations and the small waterfalls. I'm sure there is more to see, but from what I gathered in such a short time, it was a great surprise. If you're looking for a unique place outside of the Rockies, this place will not disappoint.

More 4.5 (due to limitation for senior citizens) but a 5 for those wanting more than a picnic. Less than an hr drive from Denver with beautiful/scenic drive through Superior. Great picnic area/s, Visitor Center, facilities. Staff were 5⭐, even giving our group of seniors a talk, complete with rock samples. Perfect sightseeing and picnic area for senior citizens BUT(!), more than perfect for younger people as there's rock climbing, hiking, fishing and MORE. Fee is $10/vehicle. Drive upon entering Park is a bit tricky and dirt road. Not that bad but, just be aware.

Perfect park to spend the day in. Took my 5 year old who loved every moment of this trip. Great parking and trails, tons of hiking opportunities and picnic tables to share.

Located between Golden and Boulder, west of the 93. Lots of rock formations and popular for rock climbing with very easy access. Do notice, area has seen rather snakes occasionally (not often, but still need to pay attention). There are at least two picnic area with 3 grill racks each capable hosting 24 peoples each on the side of creek. (Close to parking spots) First come first serve no reservation.

Visited 7.16.2022: I'm so happy I picked this trail/system/park by CHANCE! Ubered from my motel in Denver and started walking toward the hills. It was so stunning, perfect weather, seeing groundhogs (?), horses, everyone out running with dogs, rock climbing, slowly hearing the river get closer. I lost cell service down in the valley but a lovely shuttle driver helped me with directions, shared history of the park/area, drove me to Costco to get some food and phone service to get a ride back to the city. It was my first time hiking in Colorado and a dream come true, especially with the nice rain shower in the afternoon :D

Beautiful park. We did the El Dorado trail near the visitor center. That trail was tough, even for experienced hikers! Took about 4 hours for a total of 6.6 miles. Beautiful views of the river at the end. We saw lots of beautiful birds along the way as well.

Beautiful place. The tour is definitely more for adults. But there are some in hands on things for the kids. There is also a nature trail here that is short and easy with gorgeous views!

Free and extremely interesting Center to learn about weather, clouds, climate science, atmospheric research, & the center’s design. The views were stunning and the trails are lovely. An easy half mile walking path behind the building to get a quick glimpse of the area.

Such a wonderful experience visiting the National Center for Atmospheric Research- Timely information to read and digest, interactive displays, short movies with fascinating topics- and Even grab a bite to eat while sitting on a patio with this view!! Finish off the trip with a short trail walk with 12 information boards to further extend your learning!! Highly recommend!!

Visited this place with family, what a neat building filled with so much information about atmospheric sciences. There is also some peaceful trails around the building.

What a delightful surprise it was to discover that the building of The National Center for Atmospheric Research, sitting nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder (Colorado), was designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei — the very same architect who created the Louvre Pyramid (Paris, France), that monumental entrance from the early 1980s. Mocha Bear and I adore architecture and can spend hours mesmerized, reflecting on the vision and choices of architects. In this particular case, it is obvious that a dialogue was created between the pink-hued Rocky Mountains and the chosen building material, pink sandstone. I was especially pleased by the building’s geometry, which frames certain parts of the horizon like artworks, elevating the beauty of the landscape to a new level. And of course, I had a wonderful time playing in the Exploratorium with clouds, an artificial tornado, and lightning.

Very beautiful building with various educational exhibits. Free to visit along with free car parking. There's also guided tours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon. Right by Mesa Trail. A must visit place if you come to Boulder.

It is a beautiful site, kid-friendly, and more accessible with shorter trails and plenty of hiking trails that are rougher. Having brought three little kids, we stuck to the shorter trails, which was nice since it got hot fast. Beautiful picnic area with plenty of shade. Indoors was fun but a bit shorter than we expected. I won't ever turn down AC.

Boulder Falls is absolutely stunning - it’s one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate how beautiful Colorado really is. The waterfall is breathtaking, surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery, and the short trail makes it super easy for families or anyone just looking for a quick nature escape. As a local real estate agent in Northern Colorado, I’m always exploring nearby spots to recommend, and Boulder Falls is definitely one of my favorites. Whether you’re visiting for photos, fresh air, or just a peaceful moment, this place is pure Colorado beauty. 🌲💧

The waterfalls are beautiful!!! The people take good care of the place! My family enjoyed it very much! We went on Sunday and it was super busy too. You don’t have to busy tickets to see the falls.

Great quick trip to see some falls and great views of the mountains. You can park on the right or go up about a mile and turn around and park on the way back down. Be careful when crossing road very busy and blind corners both directions.

Much smaller than expected (that’s what she said)….but beautiful nonetheless. It’s a super quick walk from the road to the falls, and most of it is stairs. You’ll probably hit a line of tourists at the waterfall itself, but people are generally chill and friendly, and you can feel safe asking a stranger to take your picture without them running off with your phone (probably)

Absolutely beautiful! Only problem I ran into is trying to leave if you decide to stop and take photos on the side of the road where there is parking. It’s easy to park but hard to back out because there’s cars constantly driving around the corners. But again, this the view made everything totally worth it! Gorgeous all around.

Parking is sketchy, be prepared to parallel park and maybe perch on the edge of a ditch like we did. It was VERY crowded and full of swimmers. We drove back and stopped along the bank a ways down to dip our toes which was chilling! Cold water was very refreshing! Free to enter, free to park. A very short walk down some stairs, up some stairs and across some bumpy dirt/rock trail. You can hear the falls and rushing water from the trailhead. Would love to come back!

As waterfall connoisseurs, we absolutely love this place and actually said our vows here prior to our wedding. So it is a special, magical place for us. The drive to the falls is stunning as well! Parking on the left (coming from Boulder) and it’s a few steps (literal steps) until you can marvel its beauty. Not a “swim and play” type situation, but absolutely gorgeous to behold, in any season!

The park is a good place to meet up with friends or let the kids play in the new playground. You can sit by the creek or sit in the grass or just ride your bike through on the bike trail. It's a full day things to do.

Witnessed the memorial day festival today here and it was full of stalls will huge crowd even though it was drizzling through out. Great place. Right opposite to the Downtown station in Boulder

There's random beautiful art everywhere and the creek is so calm and peaceful. The statue of Chief Niwot is here, and it's amazing to learn the history if Boulder here.

I highly recommend the Boulder Creek Fest which is Memorial day weekend Sat-Mon! Otherwise the park is pretty peaceful when there aren't events going on and there's a nice spot to wade into the creek if it's a hot day. Other events include farmers markets and concerts throughout the year

This park was so nice and peaceful. We rode our bike around the Boulder bike path and had a wonderful experience.

Nice beautiful walk through Boulder, CO. This park is built along Boulder creek right next to town and campus, and has great trails to ride your bike, jog, or simply walk. Has cool bridges and goes underneath road systems. Lots of benches for you to rest at or to just sit down and enjoy the sun.

Beautiful walk along Boulder Creek. If you look, you can see the trout. It was the first time my granddog met a brown trout. A kiss and back in the water he went.
