The Estes Park Aerial Tramway is a delightful way to experience the stunning beauty of Colorado's mountain landscape. Ascending to the summit of Prospect Mountain, this vintage European-style cable car offers breathtaking panoramic views from an impressive elevation of around 9,000 feet. In just under five minutes, visitors are whisked up over 1,000 feet above the ground, where they can take in sweeping vistas from the observation deck or explore various hiking trails that meander through this picturesque area.
The tram was hands down a highlight of our trip. Yes, pricey, but such a wonderful experience. We visited on a Friday at 9am and there was only one other group in line. We waited no longer than 15 minutes to go on the tram. Also, if you go early in the morning or late evening, you can take advantage of the discounted adult tickets. All of the staff members we encountered were very nice. One of the tram operators was especially kind to our kids after noticing they were a bit frightened. He made sure to make them feel safe, and we were very thankful for that.
At the top, the view was incredible. There were a few trails, but we just decided to climb up the rocks and sit there to take in the view. The gift shop and cafe were right where the tram leaves you. There are not many options, but it's good for a quick snack.

I feel this is a Must Go! And if you're smart about it you can get cheap tickets to ride instead of paying full price. It's a short ride to the top where you'll find a small cafe and gift shop. I recommend having lunch then taking the hike to the summit! The 360 views are Spectacular, who knew Estes is actually so BIG. All the staff was Super Friendly too. Great way to spend an afternoon!
The tram was a lot of fun and the operators were super friendly and very pleasant to chat with. At the top it's worth trying to hike up to the summit for some amazing views of the valley. The cafe was well maintained and had a decent menu. We weren't hungry but did pick up a coffee and hot cocoa. They also have alcoholic beverages but it was morning so had to pass. Prices are reasonable and online with what you'd expect. Tram was a lot of fun and gorgeous views!
The ride was 5 minutes in a small compartment with no seats. View was nice going up. Cafe was closed, but the small souvenir shop was open (with bathrooms). The views were nice but I was expecting more snow-capped mountains. Nice, but not really worth the price.
Absolutely Incredible Experience!
The Estes Park Aerial Tramway is hands down one of the best experiences you can have in the Rockies. The views are nothing short of breathtaking—you get a panoramic look at Estes Park, the valley, and the mountains that feels like stepping right into a postcard.
What really made the trip unforgettable, though, was the staff. They were just as amazing as the view itself—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest had a great time. From start to finish, you feel well taken care of.
If you’re in Estes Park, this is a must-do. Whether you’re here for the scenery, the adventure, or simply to soak in the beauty of Colorado, the tramway delivers on all fronts. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
Such a fun experience here in Estes Park. We had such a great time heading up to the mountain and hanging out on top. What a fun way to see things from up so high.
Note: We had timed tickets and had to wait until our designated time to enter.
The tram was quick and efficient. Only takes 5 minutes to make it to the top. Can’t beat the view, but the food is good too. I had the hiker’s burrito. The salsa was so good. They serve breakfast until noon. The friendly employees really make it great. They have a good selection of treats and drinks too. The views from the top are amazing! Nice to be able to hike too.

Now going up to the Tramway was amazing. I have been going to Estes Park for such a long time. I did not realize that this was in that location.
Such beautiful site to see make sure you take a backpack, snacks, sunscreen, water, and enjoy the view. They have picnic tables and a gift shop and serve sandwich, snacks, and sweets. now you do have to pay for parking, which is $6.50 for four hours. But you can stay at this location and ride the last cart down. 3.25 time ride going up

Fun City in Estes Park is the ultimate destination for families seeking thrilling and entertaining activities. This amusement park offers a wide range of attractions, including bumper boats, go-karts, miniature golf, and a bungee trampoline. With its vibrant and interactive environment, Fun City provides an unforgettable experience for kids of all ages.
I have been visiting this place for over 30 years. Four generations of my family have had fun on the slides, bumper boats, go carts, and other rides, as well as making great memories playing mini-golf, skiball and tons of arcade games. The prices are reasonable considering the fun you have. I recommend this for kids of all ages!

We had a fantastic time at this fun stop, which offered go-karts, bumper boats, walking on water, and a lot more! Mom and Dad participated as well, and the staff was wonderful. It's great to see that their top priority is safety. We truly had a blast, and I know my daughter will be excited to share how Mom beat Dad in the go-karts! It started to rain so we took a break and left to eat and came back. The line were not to long. We went midday during the week.
Only played the mini-golf and the go karts. The go karts are super fun with one and two seat models. Check out the photos of the mini-golf. Stunning location. Next to the river. A few minor holes damaged by vandals and a water pump sent out for repair should not cause you to not play here. The local owner runs this as his family. Gary and his staff are worth the stop!
We passed by this place several times and the kids begged to go. We finally went and were pleasantly surprised on how much fun they had for $100. We had just paid the same amount for the mountain coaster and felt like the kids had way more fun doing the trampoline, rainbow slide, inflatable waterball, and bumper boats at fun city. They also had a nice mini golf adventure and golf karts that we didn’t get a chance to play but looked fun!
We visited Fun City in Estes Park on the afternoon of July 16 after spending our last day exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. I brought my two kids and they had a fantastic time! The staff was all incredibly friendly and welcoming.
My kids especially enjoyed the Go-Karts, Mini Golf, Gellets (water beads), Water Walking Balls and the Bungee Trampoline. It was a perfect way to end our trip.
Later that evening, while having dinner in Denver, I realized my Visa credit card was missing. I called Fun City and the staff who answered told me that someone had found my card in the park and turned it in. I asked if they could mail it to my home address in California and I would pay for the postage.
To my surprise, Greg Davis from Fun City kindly mailed my card the very next day without charging me anything. Today, July 21, I received it safe and sound.
Huge thanks to Greg Davis and the entire Fun City team! Not only did we have a great time, but your kindness and honesty made a lasting impression. Highly recommended for families visiting Estes Park!
My son really liked this place. It is alittle pricier. I feel like maybe for 100 is a lot espically when you have a big family and you cannot repeat attractions its not unlimited unless you keep adding money to the value card. But I think the new attraction roller coaster is Super fun! Miniature golf does need an update but the other attractions are pretty fun! The water ball scared my son lol water was able to get in I tryed to keep him calm. We loved the go karts. Slide needs to be smoothed out stops half way. Nice view for sure. The bumper boats are also a good one! I think we will be back again 👍 but prepared to bring extra money. The four star is I felt a certain section there was time cut I seen the timer and got cut like 25 seconds didnt say anything but next time if we noticed it I will.

There are so many fun things for a family to do; race cars, large slide, putt putt golf, bungee trampolines, boats to spray each other. Fantastic.
It is so safe, clean and very well maintained.
The staff is cheerful and helpful every year. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. We will be back again next year!

I ended up stopping by here spontaneously after my visit to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, and I'm glad I did! The museum is small and has a lot of interesting information about the founding of the town and how it grew into what it is today. The staff was very friendly-- I spent a good ten minutes talking to Wendy about my visit and where I was from. A fun little pit stop definitely worth checking out!!
Everything about Estes Park is great everyone needs to go there lots to see lots of great food from hamburgers to great fine dineing great restaurants to home made candy cookies lots of stores you will get to buy things you don't get to see just any place there are great jewelers here they will design you what you like not to mention all the great parks and all of mother nature has to offer we have animals running around. They are so beautiful to see come see all of Estes park summer and winter lots of great places to stay for the night or a week or a season it is a must the holidays are the best come see for you self

Trout Haven Fishing Pond, operated by Trout Haven Resorts, is a year-round destination offering various activities. In the spring and summer, visitors can enjoy hassle-free fishing with a picturesque mountain backdrop. The pond is regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout, and no fishing license is required. Equipment including bait is provided on-site for a small fee. Additionally, guests can ice skate on the frozen pond during winter or enjoy sledding at nearby locations within Rocky Mountain National Park borders.
Well this place it’s the best if you have small kids or someone who need help for start fishing lessons! The manager was extremely kind and helpful and staff were so friendly with our family members.
They are super clean, small park and play ground for kiddos you can tell they are busy because facilities are on top!

The staff was friendly and the lot was absolutely beautiful. This place is a great photo opportunity and the kids had a blast. The pond is stocked and you can catch a fish on almost every cast. My only issue is this is a total tourist trap. You have to keep every fish you catch and they charge you over a dollar an inch of every fish caught. Rod rentals and bait are only $4. We were there for about 45 minutes, caught three small fish and it was $55. Overall it was a fun and positive experience. Recommended.
Nice fishing spot for the kids. You’re pretty much guaranteed to catch a few fish. It can get expensive though if you catch a couple larger fish.

Cool experience but awful timing. We came the day before they were restocking the fish. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything but still a cool experience.
Yes, it is a bit pricy. But, if you have small children who have been trying to catch a fish all day and they have been skunked, come on down! My granddaughter was so excited to catch her four fish in four casts. We had decided that we wanted four fish for our dinner. She was so proud to have caught our dinner.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The lady cleaning the fish explained to our granddaughter the process and even made that fun.

Always a blast to go fishing here. I have to pay but that's quite alright. I know when I bring my kids they're going home happy because they caught something. Thank you to the crew as well. Some days you guys have to put up with rude, unruly customers and I saw it first hand. You gentleman handled it with grace. I on the other hand have had nothing but great experiences with the staff. They always do a great job cleaning the fish and offer us the fish that have been donated when there're some. YOU GUYS ROCK! THANKS AGAIN!
Wow, don’t make the mistake we did! There were 8 of us and we each got a pole and thought we would hunker down for a couple hours of fishing fun before checking in to our room- we had 14 fish in less than 30 minutes.
Here’s the drill... you pay for every fish you catch (a dollar something per inch). You can not throw them back!
If you want to take your fish with you, you pay a dollar a fish for them to clean and pack in ice for you.
Parking is right up front with handicap parking available. The bathrooms are clean. There is a little play area available for the kids.
In the winter you can ice fish!!
Tip: if you don’t want to be done quickly take turns and take your time because you will have a bite within minutes of throwing in your pole.

Beautiful spot surrounded by nature! I visited Lake Estes and saw elk, deer, ducks, and other birds — all in one peaceful walk. The lake is scenic with mountain views, easy trails, and plenty of wildlife. A great place to relax and enjoy Colorado’s beauty.

One of our all time favorite spots to fish. Keep the lake clean please. We always make sure to clean up after ourselves while also cleaning up trash that was left behind (unfortunately)Keep Colorado beautiful. Respect the park.

Estes Park Aquatic Center at the YMCA of the Rockies is a dog-friendly town, but pets are not allowed in Rocky Mountain National Park. However, there are plenty of opportunities to explore with your furry friends in Roosevelt National Forest. The center has implemented measures to keep the pool open during COVID-19, including regular cleaning, social distancing, and limiting concurrent guests.

Great experience here! The new go karts are electric and gamified to work like Mario kart. There are several activities and the staff was super helpful. My kids loved the bumper boats. We were able to do several activities for a reasonable value. Only ever had to wait in line for go carts and line was never that long. Definitely recommend!
Been coming to Ride a Kart since I was a little girl, but the improvements that the ownership has made to it have been awesome! My own family loves it, but we just had a youth event there and all of our teenagers love it too!! The Mario kart like race car experiences, the putt putt golf, and of course the ice cream and the arcade! Would definitely recommend it for a corporate youth or family event!

we had the best time racing go-karts, playing mini golf, and just soaking up that good old-fashioned summer magic. it’s the kind of place that brings out your inner kid (and a little friendly competition). the staff is kind, the vibe is light, and it’s such a gem for locals and visitors alike. highly recommend for a fun night out or a spontaneous afternoon adventure.
I’ve been visiting Estes Park since I was young and Ride a Kart has always been one of my favorite memories growing up and I was lucky enough to bring my own kids here this summer. That absolutely loved ever minute of their visits to this fantastic amusement park. The new race karts are amazing and not the loud karts you would see anywhere else, which also makes them perfect for children with any sensory issues. The track has a Mario Kart type feel with coins and power ups you can ears as you drive. The bumper boats and bumper cars are easy to maneuver for even young kids and were a hit with mine. We played the mountain course of the putt-putt (you get to choose from two 18 hole options. We also had to take the classic train ride that has always been here. If you or anyone you know of coming to Estes, this is definitely worth visiting!
Stopped by after visiting RMNP. Got my grandson a go kart ticket then I thought, why let him have all the fun, so I got myself a ticket and joined him. I’m 58 years old and I had a blast on the go karts!!! It is a lot like Mario kart! He then went on the bumper boats but I didn’t join him on those, lol. Place was a lot of fun and all the staff we encountered were very friendly! Had a great time, highly recommended!!!
My 3 boys loved the golf simulator! They loved it so much that we did it 2 days in a row! We also did the mini golf And new go karts. I thought $12 for one go kart ride is steep, but I remember we are on vacation and need to pay the high prices for fun.
This was a great place to stop with my son & friend. It doesnt look like much but it is 100% worth the stop. We did the mini golf & they were super chill about our service dog, just asked that she not be on the greens.
Took my son back a 2nd day for the batting cages. Nice little set up with 3 speeds, they let us bring our own gear!

Mike is an absolute gem and what he’s doing is remarkable and important. This was an amazing way to spend a few hours. We learned so much and even saw Saturn! The set-up has high-tech gear but humble surroundings. A must-see for a visit to Estes Park.
Visiting the observatory was hands down one of the best parts of our trip to Estes Park! Mike was an incredible host and taught us lots about what we were seeing! My wife is way more into space and stars than I am and she had the time of her life here! If we ever come back to Estes Park we will definitely plan to visit again.
One of the best things to do in Estes Park besides hiking. Mike was amazing and gave us over a two hour tour of both our galaxy and others along with his faithful companion Willey. Make sure to book ahead of time on their website and keep in contact via cellphone the day of because the weather is very unpredictable in the valley. Also make sure the dress warm since the dome will open during the observation but blankets are provided. Finally, bring cash for a donation at the end to make sure this amazing service continues.
Mike is so friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, and caring. It’s such a fun experience, and so nice he offers blankets when it’s cold out. Be sure to buy some merch (you have to ask about it) to support them.
I have been to several star gazing places and events but this one is definitely the most educative, engaging, and interesting one. It was Mike that made the whole experience very unique and special. We were very moved when we saw those stickers on the wall representing different stars/planets. Mike spent 2+ hours showing us different cool things using the telescope. We saw Jupiter, Saturn, exploding star, other galaxy, and even an ET! Mike is so passionate and knowledgeable to answer our questions. This experience is free, and donation will go to the scholarships. I hope you can see this message Mike. I hope when I retire, I can find something that i am passionate about just like what you are doing to teach us astronomy. I regret not taking a picture with you.

This is great place to see the local wildlife and get pictures of the mountains with the lake. The elk were bugling and it was really neat to see. It’s a great first stop in town to stretch your legs after a long drive
We had an amazing experience!!! If you are in the area and would like to see the Universe and learn more about it's secret, this is a must stop. It is free. However, all donations go back into the science education of the local children. Thank you Mike for sharing all you knowledge and experience with us, we had an out of this world time.

We can’t recommend Open Air Adventure Park enough! We hired it privately for our wedding guests to wrap up our wedding week in Estes Park, and it was the perfect end to an unforgettable week. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, from accommodating our dietary needs with vegan s’mores (a huge hit!) to providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire experience.
The park itself is incredible—fun, adventurous, and so unique! Our group had such an amazing time tackling the courses and soaking in the stunning surroundings. It was the ideal way to celebrate with friends and family in such a beautiful, relaxed setting.

From the time of booking the staff was extremely helpful. We were in contact with the staff several times prior to the trip. They took the time to get to know our group and plan the best experience possible. Our guides Cindy and Heike, were easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. They truly enjoy their job and it shows! My sister and I came here on a whim, after seeing that they offered axe throwing. It was really fun! The area felt safe and they had a spray bottle filled with water that was a life safer on such a hot day. We got some real, actual throwing axes and one hatchet and about 45 min (Which is a LONG time!) to throw as much as we wanted. Once the timer was up, we had to pack everything up and hand our stuff back. While we threw our axes, we got a good look at the climbing feature thats their main attraction. That looked REALLY fun and my sister and I will definitely be coming back to try it out!
Besides all that, the staff was very friendly and informative. They seemed like a really cool, down to earth group of people and it made the whole atmosphere that much more relaxing and fun.
We had a blast! I made a group reservation in advance for the Aerial Adventure as a team-building event for a group of adults. We had so much fun! It's like a playground for adults. I haven't laughed that hard for a long time.
Open Air uses a type of harness that allows you to remain clipped in at all times (as in, there's no way NOT to remain clipped in), which means that each person can navigate around the course on their own time, based on their own comfort level.
Our group of 12 participants had two assigned staff members who actively and attentively engaged with us the entire time to provide safety and guidance. The staff members were terrific -- they were fully focused on our group the whole time, exuding positivity and offering encouragement while intently maintaining safety.
Pro Tip: The members of our group came up with an obstacle course "time trial" for a certain route through the course, which included a saddle zip line (yes! a saddle zip line!) and a sprint across suspended logs. Everyone cheered each other on as we timed ourselves and tried to get faster and faster at running the course. SO FUN! (Not sure that this would be appropriate when the course is open to the general public, but it was delightful for our group.) We will be back with next year's group!
My granddaughter wanted to do this but was not quite tall enough to go alone so I stepped up. About 1/2 way through the instructors told me she was fine and if I wanted to stop I could (she had shown just how adept she was and how much fun she was having so they trusted her alone) funny thing is I was having a blast too! We did well over 90 minutes and it flew by, thanks for making me feel like a kid again and providing a super special memory for my granddaughter and I. We will be back next time we visit Estes Park.
I purchased tickets online. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed when I saw it in-person from the highway. It looked very small. As quoted by my son today after our visit , “never judge a book by its’ cover”. My twin 10 year olds had a blast. They were challenged and yet had fun the whole two hours. The staff was beyond helpful with guiding my sons through the course. They were kind to my sons and provided them positive coaching during challenging times. Both sons have said that doing this was their favorite part of our vacation so far.
The cost is a little high which may prevent some families being able to experience the activity. Overall, I am happy I included this in our vacation budget though. Definitely check out their specials for servicemen, nurses, etc. on their website. It didn’t apply for our visit but it was heartwarming to see that they are available.
Opportunity for improvement is to have the grounds maintained a bit more. The grass and weeds are a bit difficult to navigate through while trying to take photos of the kids.
We had such a great time here during our stay in Estes Park. The owner was so helpful and patient with our two kids. She took her time to explain everything and answer all questions. She was very accommodating. The aerial course was a lot of fun and there were helpful employees throughout the course if help was needed. It was a great experience and we are really glad we did it.

We spent our honeymoon in Estes Park and made reservations online for a fishing boat and Surrey bike rental. We loved our time on the boat. It can get crowded with other crafts and you can’t go fast for that reason, but the view is spectacular and it is perfect for a leisurely go around the lake. We were able to circle the lake about three times before having to return it.
The Surrey bike was fun for a leisurely activity as well since it only goes about 5mph. We misunderstood the instructions to turn around at the visitor center as we thought the restaurant and associated buildings were the visitor center. This ended up cutting our ride short! I didn’t find it difficult to peddle, but I also am native to Colorado and spent several years living around 6,000ft. It probably could be a challenge for those visiting from sea level as the route is not completely flat and there are a few small inclines.
Overall a very enjoyable experience! I highly recommend reserving online ahead of time. The only issue we had was that our original waivers got lost and we had to sign them again, so it would be good to star those emails in the reservation process should something like that happen when you get there.

We rented a pontoon boat for 2 hours. It was awesome. Not a bad price. It is a small lake but it's not too busy. You can still get around the entire lake. Have some fun and catch a fish
We had a great experience renting a canoe for an hour at Lake Estes Marina. Paddling around the lake was so much fun, and the staff was friendly and helpful with getting us in and out of the canoe. Parking is paid, but it was easy to take care of when reserving online. We’ll definitely be returning!
Rented a tandem kayak for $30 for 1 hour. It was okay. Definitely would be good for beginners or people who just want to sit on the water. We go kayaking a lot and thought it was boring. The view is okay but it’s kinda like you just paddle in circles trying to kill the time and there’s not many places to explore. Service was friendly. I didn’t like that the reservation was very strict on arriving 30 minutes early, but then when you arrive 30 minutes early they just have you sign a waiver and then you have to continue to wait until your time and they were not busy. Wouldn’t go again, and would only recommend if you just want to chill on the water or how 0 kayaking experience

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, stocked with fishing essentials, bike and kayak rentals available. The kids loved the playground and we all enjoyed walking around. There were lots of people picnicking and it was a very great vibe all around.
Very beautiful place to visit. We came fishing and caught quite a few rainbows and browns. Both fly fishing and regular bait. Can get a bit crowded but other than that, it’s a great experience.
It is located on the shore of Lake Estes, created by the Olympus Dam. You can rent watercraft and find a shop with fishing equipment. There are also picnic areas and lakeside activities. Along the roughly four-mile shoreline, you can enjoy your time and observe the local wildlife.

When planning a trip to Estes Park, it's best to leave early in the day to avoid traffic. The ideal time to visit is from June to September when the weather is warm and perfect for exploring. However, even outside of these months, there are still activities available. For an adrenaline rush, consider white water rafting on the Cache la Poudre river.
The tour was amazing! The one we booked lasted for about 4 hours. We made a few stops for scenic views, wildlife sighting, and taking memorable photos. Coming to the high top of Rocky Mountains and experiencing the drop in temperature was fun. Our guide was amazing as he was giving us interesting information of the history and current details of the area. I definitely recommend everyone to book this tour!

We did an evening tour in the Rocky Mountains Estes Park. Pete was an excellent guide/driver. He pointed out some wildlife and tried to find us more wildlife to see, however there wasn’t much out. Pete gave us some history of the park and other facts. He also recited a few jokes! We saw a moose, deer, and ground squirrels. The scenery was beautiful. All in all it was a great trip.
My kids and I went on a Green Jeep Tour with Chance he was our tour guide and he was amazing!!! He made sure to ask us what we wanted to see and tried his best to make sure we seen every one of them! He was so knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him! It was so beautiful the views and the animals! I highly recommend this for all ages and families definitely worth the money!
We took the 4:30pm safari tour and not only saw SO much wildlife, but we also got an incredible sunset. Our guide Sam was wonderful, so nice, funny, knowledgeable, entertaining and most importantly an excellent driver on those very intense RMNP roads. Do yourself a favor and book a green jeep tour!
We did the safari tour with Chance today and had a wonderful time! He said he had only been working there for a few months but his knowledge about the park was mind boggling! He was super funny & personable. There is no way we would’ve known what to do or where to go & learned so much on our tour. If this is your first time at the park, absolutely recommend!!
My family thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Nick W. was our tour guide and he was great. He had a lot of knowledge to share about the park and Estes in general and let us out for several stops to take pictures and explore. We even enjoyed seeing him later at the irish pub where he was playing guitar that evening! I would definitely recommend the tour! Ask for Nick!
A wonderful tour with an amazing guide, Julie! Without going into details, 9 people started out as strangers and said goodbye as friends after 3 1/2 hours or there about. Saw countless elk, pica, and an adorable marmoset! Thanks again Julie……we would tour with you anytime!

The tour provided the perfect amount of detail and was just the right amount of time. We had an amazing time and cannot recommend this tour any higher.

Had an amazing morning tour with Denny and Morgan. Loads of interesting history about the area, ranch, and people who settled the area, but Denny was quick to pivot to the barns and animals when we mentioned that was where our 10-year old's interests were. Morgan and Denny made us feel like family and clearly love sharing the fascinating and beautiful property with visitors. Spent our two hours walking the property, feeding chickens, petting horses, and seeing the original structures and heading about their history. HIGHLY recommend for families with older kids. 🤩

We had a personal tour of the ranch (there was no one else booked on our time slot). It was AMAZING. The lady that did the tour was very informative and kept us engaged. By far the best thing we did in Estes - aside from the breath taking views. Learned so much from the history of the ranch to the history of the town. Kudos to the her and the man that maintain the ranch. I would highly recommend stopping by while in Estes!

Saw The Shining tonight and had a great time! Picture and sound quality was fantastic and the seat was comfortable enough for me (I’m 6’4 and 300 lbs). It was very neat to see the USA’s oldest theatre and I see they also do ghost tours and hold fun events!

My son Noah and I took the haunted tour with the owner Jenna. She was amazing the tour was interesting for sure and getting to roam the halls of this historic theatre after hours was awesome. If you only come here to see a movie it is well worth your time and money

This old-fashioned movie theater was a hidden gem. We stumbled upon it by chance, and it truly made our day. Fortunately, they happened to be showing a film my kid wanted to see, especially lucky since they only screen one movie at a time. It was a true blast from the past, and I was glad to see it still in operation.
Such a seriously cool theatre. There’s SO MUCH history in that theatre! Staff friendly, and seemed happy to be at work. The theatre is like stepping back in time! We will absolutely make this a part of our annual trips to Estes Park!
An absolute gem of a movie theater! They've updated the screen, sound, and seats, but the theater hasn't lost an ounce of its historic charm. Love that they host revival showings, it's so worth the drive from Fort Collins to catch a classic movie on this classic screen. The popcorn is great too.
If you have the chance to take a tour here, do it! Jenna gave the most informative and interesting history tour I’ve ever been on. You can tell just how passionate her whole family is about keeping this historic theater alive. Definitely see a movie here as well! There’s nothing like it.
This was truly a walk back in time. The Park Theatre was built in 1913 (finished in 1914). The oldest movie theater west of the Mississippi River. There's so much history here. Interesting how the tower was built, and why... Because the man was left at the altar and he built this beautiful tower (65 ft tall ), representing his lost love calling it the Tower of Love. And saying it was "Beautiful on the outside and hollow on the inside" like the woman that left him at the altar.
The employees here are kind but we had such a terrible experience overall. We drove 5 hours round trip on Saturday to see a concert I had been looking forward to for weeks. Upon arrival, we were told that the show had been cancelled two days prior. They never emailed, called, or tried to reach us in any way to let us know the show had been cancelled. To their credit, they did offer us a full refund or to reschedule our tickets, and offered us a chance to see another show performing that night free of charge.
However, what's most frustrating to me is that I don't have a lot of spare time or money to do things like this. I only had this Saturday off this week and it was completely wasted because they didn't communicate with us. If we had known the concert had been cancelled before making the drive, we would have had a really good chance to find another day/time to reschedule our trip. Unfortunately, we used up the gas money we'd set aside to make the trip, as well as the limited time we had off, and now there's no way we will be able to make it up again to see this performance. I literally cried on the drive home I was so disappointed.
Do yourself a favor before visiting this establishment. Call the day before and see if the show you're going to see is still happening because they may not tell you.
Again though, the employees were kind and the theater itself is clean and well kept up. That's mainly why I think they deserve two stars instead of one.

The Estes Valley Community Center is a newly opened recreational complex and campground that offers a wide range of amenities for visitors. It features an aquatics center, golf course, marina, indoor pool, indoor running track, weight room with free weights, group fitness room, multi-court gymnasium, waterslide and lazy river. The facility also boasts extremely clean locker rooms for guests to use after enjoying the indoor swimming pool.
The pool was perfect for our family during a visit to Rocky Mountain! It's super kid friendly, and the lifeguards and community center staff were all really welcoming, kind, and helpful. Lots of shallow spots for kids to stand and play, and the lazy river and slide were awesome as well. The family changing room was much appreciated too. Wish we had more time to spend here!!

We celebrated our special event in the multipurpose room at the Estes Valley Community Center. Every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations! From pre-event correspondence to the event itself, the staff helped make everything easy and smooth. The venue itself has spectacular views, a fully stocked kitchen, AV capability and even a warming table for food. As a special event planner myself, I have worked with many venues, and I highly recommend Estes Valley Community Center as an event venue!

We rented the Bighorn and Chiquita rooms for a family gathering. Great space at a reasonable price. The rental managers were easy to work with and accommodated all of our needs cheerfully.
We spent our vacation hiking and camping in Rocky Mountain National Park. Stopped here a few times to take a shower after a long day on the trails. It’s only a short 10 minute drive from the east side campgrounds. The facilities are very clean and staff was super friendly. Good prices for unlimited hot water shower!

Estes Park Mountain Shop is a convenient rental spot located near the entrance to Estes Park and at the Warming House on the way to Beaver Meadows entrance. Visitors can enjoy snowshoeing on various accessible hiking trails, which are also popular for cross-country skiing. The shop offers gear rentals for activities like fly-fishing and rock climbing, as well as snowshoes and spikes for winter hikes such as the picturesque Dream Lake trail in Rocky Mountain National Park.
A great place. They loaned us a handicapped wheelchair for free! It allowed my wife to enjoy Bear and Sprague Lake in the park. Their shop was fantastic. As a former backpacker I loved their equipment. What great people and a great place!

When we went to CO,I was looking for a nice outdoor jacket and those type of stores are everywhere. I spent days looking for what I wanted and after spending the day in Estes Park,we stopped in here. It was great timing because they were having a big clearance sale so they had the top floor full of gear and the bottom floor was packed with all kinds of clothing,coats,jackets,etc. I did find a nice jacket that was half off,The North Face (I still love this jacket). I would recommend this store if you are looking for any type of gear for hiking,camping,fishing,etc. Its amazing and the employees were great.
A couple weeks ago we rented the Freedom Chair for my mom. It was awesome! We pushed her all around Estes Park shops and the Elk Festival. It did great on all terrain including the grass, dirt, and hills!
The next day we went to Rocky and pushed her on the Alluvial Fan trail, saw the waterfall. We drove up Trail Ridge Road getting out to see the overlooks on the way, hiked around Bear Lake (has some areas on the trail not wheel chair accessible) and Sprauge lake.
Our last day in Estes Park we walked around Estes Lake and all the way into town past the visitor center and along the river walk to eat at Egg of Estes.
None of this would’ve been possible without the Freedom Chair. Thank you SO much for offering these chairs to people!!
Everyone at the shop I talked to was very nice and helpful. They even have a paper of all the accesible hikes in Rocky and some details about each.
We had a Jeep Grand Cherokee rental car and it fit perfectly in the back with half of the middle seat put down. It was super easy once we got the hang of it to take the wheels and handles off!
this is where you can rent adaptive equipment to use around rocky mountain national park. we rented the freedom chair, which was easy to use and easy to navigate around with. it fit in the trunk of our car nicely and was fun to explore with ! thank you!
The customer service I received prior to our visit was wonderful. I was impressed with how polite, kind, and accommodating everyone was. We rented three mountain bikes and an e-bike. We wanted to ride around Lake Estes after a long road trip. The bikes were set up for us, we were fitted with helmets, and we were given a little time cushion so I could pay and join my family.
We had a great experience biking around the lake. An hour was plenty of time and my husband loved the e-bike so much, he couldn’t stop smiling. The elk we saw in the lake were a cool bonus. There were calves with their mamas and they were adorable. They were at a safe distance so we could admire them and take pictures. Hands down I would recommend this shop! Thank you for making our first experience in Estes Park a fun one!
Unexpected Gem of a Stop!
We popped into Estes Park Mountain Shop just looking for a backpack and ended up walking out with way more than we expected—in the best way. Adam, one of the guys working there, was super friendly and full of awesome local tips.
He gave us a handful of great suggestions for hikes and things to check out in the area, and we ended up trying everything he recommended. Couldn’t be happier—we had an amazing time thanks to his advice!
Oh, and the backpack? It’s alright too.
Careful they are selling Fake Labubu’s… so sad I didn’t know better was trying to buy something for my niece…
We had a great experience taking our kids to indoor rock climbing. Austin was so patient with our kids and made sure to pick the best courses for their skill level. He was also great at guiding them and instilling confidence when they were having difficulty.
All of the employees we encountered were helpful and friendly. We visit Estes Park often and will absolutely be going back here.

The Estes Park Visitor Center is a central hub for information and activities in the area. Located conveniently near major highways, it offers access to free shuttle buses and serves as a starting point for exploring the town. Visitors can obtain maps, weather forecasts, and other up-to-date information from local guides at the center. Additionally, it provides easy access to hiking trails leading to Lake Estes and the downtown riverwalk.
Absolutely loved our stop at the Estes Park Visitor Center! The staff were super friendly and helpful, with great tips on trails, weather, and wildlife. The center itself was clean, well-organized, and full of useful maps and brochures. But the real highlight? We saw a whole family of elk just outside the building! It was such a magical and unexpected experience. A perfect introduction to the beauty and wonder of the Rockies. Definitely make this your first stop when visiting Estes Park!

Excellent visitor center. Well staffed and enthusiastic to answer questions. Lots of interactive things in a small gift shop, as well. Definitely worth the visit. They have a large parking garage across the river with a bridge to get there. They also have a smaller parking lot. Both are free. They have a place to fill up water and decent enough bathrooms. Five stars!
Beautiful park and center. There are elk all over the park. They obviously feel very safe there! Do not approach them. They are still wild animals even though they are eating the grass at the golf course! The river is beautiful too!
This is the best underutilized spot. Great parking to walk to shops and see the sights. I also found the view of the Stanley Hotel here to be a great photo op. Go park on the top of the garage. Its beautiful ans no one is ever up there. You can get the mountains and the stanley in a beautiful photo with a little zoom on the lens of you phone.
It is pretty cool visit center, and there is benches inside the shop, very comfortable, and in the left side(or right side from river entrance) , there hiker shuttle bus directly to Rocky mountain national Park park and ride stop, most of the time, every 30 minutes there is one shuttle bus, some timeslots you need wait up to 1.5 hrs, overall, pretty good spot.
The staff at the visitor center is awesome and super friendly and helpful. She was able yo help us with planning the visit for today and provided with tons of information which was very useful and worth. The maps and visit information provided was great and the free shuttle around the river walk was really nice too!

First place I visited in Estes Park to get a better understanding of my surroundings. Was a useful 1st visit as beforehand, I thought you could just enter the Rocky Mountains areas and just go throughout however much you wanted. But, you need reservations. For the one we wanted, we had to wait till 2pm (we initally arrived at 10:30am) for the gates (so to say) opened.
The 2nd reservation is at night and opens at 6pm which we weren’t too interested in and was already completely booked. The visitor center has tons of maps, a bathroom, local guides which will answer every question you have and are very friendly. Definitely a good idea to come here 1st as I think they started making reservations right after Covid-19.

One of the beautiful lakes in Colorado. It is situated within Rocky Mountain national Park and Completely surrounded by mountains and meadows, the views are no less than gorgeous. It was mid October and the lake was all icy and extremely cold. However the views compensated it all . Would love to go back and experience the same when all trails are open and accessible.

I’m reviewing this because we stopped here on our tour with yellow wood guiding aka Jared and these bathrooms were our saving grace. Skip bear lakes and come here if you can, it’s not clean but it’s definitely better.
UPDATE: we came back and bear lake potties were better, these were still best though. We did the walk around sprague lake and it was beautiful!! Love coming here! Super easy walk/hike. Decent amount of parking and it’s the underdog compared to bear lake.

Go there before 5am and get in free with no reservations required. This will make the sunrise even more spectacular than it already is!
Sprague Lake is an easy favorite inside Rocky Mountain National Park. The short walk around the lake is flat and accessible, but the views are absolutely stunning. Perfect reflection shots, peaceful setting, and great for sunrise or a calm midday walk. It's the kind of spot you'll end up recommending to everyone who visits the park.
(Visited/photos from September 13, 2024) A gem in the Bear Lake Corridor. Timed entry is required. Easy and mostly flat trail around the lake with benches scattered around to rest and enjoy the views. Worth making this easy stop. Saw a beautiful male elk resting in the cool mud by the lake and lots of female and babies in the parking lot.

Located in the heart of downtown Estes Park, Rock Cut Brewing Company offers a picturesque setting by the Big Thompson River, just a stone's throw away from Fun City amusement park. Founded in 2015 by college friends Tracy Goodemote and Matt Heiser, this brewery has gained a solid reputation for its diverse selection of craft beers. With 12 beers on tap, including IPAs, pilsners, sours, and porters, there's something to suit every palate.
Top notch brewery! The staff and owners are kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The space is phenomenal. They have great indoor and outside seating. The beer selection is good. The beer is great. From the lager to IPA to sour beer to red ale to stouts they are all solid. Definitely worth the stop.

I really liked Rockcut Brewing. They had a Pils, amber, brown American IPA, Hazy IPA, a lager, a fir forager, citron, double IPA, a gin-barrel-aged IPA, a whiskey barrel aged brown, and a sour. All their beers were spot on and the barrel aged were great. This place is totally chill and unassuming. Music is great, they bring in awesome food trucks, their merch is fun, the service is friendly and helpful. You should put this on your list.
After visiting them all, this is hands-down, far-and-away, the best brewery in Estes Park. Very confused by the ratings of other breweries. If you only have one stop for craft beer, this 100% needs to be it. Atmosphere/taste of beer/service trumps all other locations. Plenty of options of beer and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Located right next to the heart of Estes park and adjacent to a cute river, and has a nice view of the mountains in the background. Ordered the Galactic Portal hazy IPA and the River Sluice sour, and both were really good. Don’t miss Rock Cut on your Estes Park trip!

I visited their shop in Estes Park and was blown away by all of the pieces they have. I bought 8 beautiful rocks and minerals and had them shipped to my home in Indiana. Such a rad place, so so many rocks every where you look, and honestly not too bad of prices. Obviously the amethyst and things are going to be crazy, not for us average Joe’s, but the neat rocks on the shelves are plentiful. The buckets of rocks outside is absolutely fabulous, with lots to chose from, and the option to have them shipped to your house is awesome. The staff is also very friendly, the girl who works the register is so sweet, asking where everyone is from getting to know folks. Really nice place.
This is my favorite rock shop ever and a place I visit every single time I'm in Estes. Huge variety of cool rocks spanning all price ranges and types. I also love the little duck pond and coffee shop next door which is owned by the same people. Beautiful little place to hang out.
I am an incurable Rock Hound which is not a bad thing! I have been coming to Red Rose every trip to CO since 1989 and it never disappoints. The staff is always incredibly knowledgable and helpful. I can't tell you how many amazing pieces I have bought at Red Rose and I intend to keep filling my home with their gorgeous and amazing pieces forever. I am so excited, I am headed there again at the end of September. And yes, I will be coming home with an extra heavy carry on bag on my way home... again.
A fun place to stop if you are into rocks and crystals. They have a huge selection, and it’s easy to lose track of time just looking at everything. Whether you’re into shiny polished stones or rough crystals, they’ve got it all The best part, though? If you have kids take them out back and you can feed the ducks with food the owner provides. Definitely worth a visit.

No problem, nice trails around a pond right outside along with the coffee shop next door. Be sure to get some food (for a $1) to feed the duckies around the pond. All in all, a perfect place to be if rocks are your thing.
Nice variety of large rocks outside and smaller rocks and fossils inside. It’s located right next to coffee on the rocks which has great coffee! You can buy corn to feed the ducks at the pond.

Best ice cream I’ve had in Estes by far. The cheesecake flavors are lackluster, but the mint chocolate chip was amazing. Definitely try the flavor before choosing, but quite a few of them were really good and everyone was very friendly.

Had an amazing time at the Mustang Mountain Coaster! The views of the surrounding mountains were absolutely stunning, and the ride itself was way more fun than I expected. You control your own speed, which is great for families or first-timers, but it also means you can go fast if you're feeling adventurous. The staff were super friendly and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Definitely a unique Colorado experience — fun, scenic, and something I’d recommend to anyone visiting the Estes Park area. We even rode it twice because one trip wasn’t enough!

This is a fun activity but the experience is limited by the crowds, lines and parking.
First, the ride is fun. You as the rider control to some extent how fast or slow your pod goes. You can slow your speed with a brake or let gravity take over by releasing the brake. The ride is on a single tract (no passing!) and a lot like a roller coaster. Because at least one of the pods in front of you is likely going slower than you, you can't really go as fast as you want.
The poor logistics and silly high cost are the reason for four stars. $25 for a single ride seems steep to me. There is not enough parking. So on arrival there is a good chance they will instruct you to follow a shuttle half a mile or so to a different destination to park. Then the shuttle takes you back to the ride site. That is a 15 minute or more ordeal.
Once there, the lines aren't well marked. There is a line to get back on a shuttle. One to get tickets. A third to get on the ride. It wasn't obvious which was which to a first time visitor. Further, if you get a pass from a local resort the process is even more confusing. We spent at least 30 minutes in a line before getting on the ride. Then had to get in a line to get on a shuttle to take us back to our car.
The biggest positive about the ride is the views. Do not assume you will be able to ride it like a roller coaster for the most part for the previously stated reasons. So go in expecting to go mostly slow and take in the view. The views are nice.
Kids will likely want to do it multiple times. Most adults will be good with one ride. Shorter kids must ride with an adult, though. Each pod can fit one to two people. Consider this before purchasing tickets. They have a multi-ride pass for $40.
I think it is worth doing but I would try to go at a time that isn't busy and see if the place you are staying has free or reduced cost passes.
Run, don't walk, to Mustang Mountain. We bought the 3 ride pass for each adult and our kids rode with us. It was so fun! Staff is friendly, patient and welcoming. The coaster goes fast but it's easy to control if super speed isn't your vibe.
My son wanted "all gas, no brake" so that's what we did as you can see in his "I made a mistake" face.
We bought tickets in advance but it was easy to add-on. We went on a Friday and there was no wait.
It was fun, but a little pricey for the short ride experience. The views from the coaster were great! The ride was fairly exciting. Kids will love it. I wouldn't say it is worth going out of your way to go there, but if you're in the area and looking for something different to do, give it a whirl.
The views were spectacular. The ride was eh. 2.5 minutes of the ride were spent on the climb. The "fun" part was less than 1.5 minutes. Definitely not worth $25.
We arrived on Monday to Estes Park. We had to wait for our Hotel room so we had a few minutes to kill. I found this place that was 2miles away. I rushed my husband to drive before they closed at 4pm. Although it was only about 5 minutes ride, it was so much fun and enjoyed the view. Highly recommend.
Had fun, but my oldest son got stuck behind a parent/child riding together. They wouldn't let him go again either, just said "sorry". He got completely stopped in the middle of the track and had to coast slowly down the entire track (boring). Pretty disappointing since we spent over $180 there. Thankfully we bought the 3 pack ride, so he got to experience it twice. Wish they had dealt with that better. Just be prepared to be stuck behind little kids or parents with kids and have it be more like sight-seeing than a thrill ride. I do not recommend it for anyone over the age of 8 for the reason they'd be extremely disappointed if they had to crawl down the track the entire time following a slow rider.
My son is 5 and he & I absolutely loved it. He rode with me, I had the 3 ride pass. By the third one he wanted me to not use the brakes at all. Mom was too scared on some corners for that, but we went almost all out. The most fun thing we did in Estes Park!! We got advanced discounted tickets at a shop in town. Well worth it and definitely buy the 3 ride pass!!!

We booked a 2 hour ride on 6/25/25. Nathan was our guide and was absolutely wonderful and wow what a beautiful ride. Going into the park with breathtaking views. Horses were well maintained and beautiful. We didn’t get to take a picture of us on the horses up high side by side but our guide said that is a request from riders for future. Highly recommend booking a tour with National Park Gateway Stables. (Enjoy the pictures)

I have gone on horseback riding excursions here about half a dozen times in the last 8 years. Myself and the Fam have a wonderful time each time we go. The horses are well trained and the guides are knowledgeable and friendly. The riding trails through RMNP are gorgeous! For the 2 hour ride I recommend going mid-morning for the best chance of clear weather. I highly recommend booking a ride here and hope that you have a great time too.
I opted for the 4-hour trail ride and it was lovely. We traversed several slight hills and water crossings. The scenery was amazing. We had a nice 45-minute break halfway through the trail ride and were able to get to know our fellow riders and trail guide. On the way back we encountered light rain, it didn't last long but afterward a gorgeous double rainbow appeared. It was so bright and colorful and felt like it was just in front of us.
Our guide was very informative and pointed out several survival skills as to what things you could eat and the various animals we might see in the area. The horses were well cared for, healthy and very well behaved. I paid $180 for the 4-hour trail ride and will hardly say it was worth it.
I highly recommend National Park gateway stables should you decide to see Rocky Mountain National Park from a different point of view.

Absolutely stunning horseback ride. Meg was our guide and she gave us such cool facts about everything we were seeing. We did the 4 hour trail and it was a once in a life experience. We got to see the national park in a different way. Views were beautiful. Wildlife was cool. The trails are not just straight. You go up and down some rocky terrain, so if you can handle it, it’s worth it!
We had THE BEST time. Not only were we riding beautiful horses, the guides were AWESOME! They told us about the history of where we were, and pointed out beautiful parts of the RMNP! I would recommend this to ANYONE and everyone!
What a wonderful experience. Our guide, Brian, lead us on a two-hour tour through the most stunning landscape in Rocky Mountain National Park. Brian was kind and attentive throughout the ride. All five of us had been on horses at some point, but we definitely appreciated his gentle guidance when dealing with our horses. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who would love to see parts of the park that you cannot get to by hiking or driving.

What an unforgettable experience! Our 4-hour horseback ride with Mary as our guide and Ronny as my trusty companion was truly something special. From the moment we met Mary, her warmth, knowledge, and genuine love for the horses and the land shone through. She instantly made us feel comfortable, no matter our riding experience, and took the time to make sure we were all matched with the perfect horse — and I absolutely hit the jackpot with Ronny.
Ronny was an absolute gem — gentle, responsive, and full of personality. I felt completely safe and connected with him from the start. He carried me through open meadows, peaceful woods, and along breathtaking trails like he knew them by heart. Between the sensory garden and the many water features, this is an awesome spot to visit on your Estes trip. It helps that it is secluded by trees and greenery, but still right in the middle of all of the shopping. Highly recommend!
A nice city park with lots of businesses near by. We stopped in on our way to Rocky Mountain national park. It is right that in the river and you wade in if you want to. It is super relaxing just to sit and enjoy the running water. It has paid parking during the summer and it is reasonably price at less than 3 dollars an hour. You can walk along the river or the Main Street. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and multiple places to get ice cream.
We went to the Pumpkin&Pilsner in Park, and it was a blast, so much fun!! All the food and beer, we loved the Pumpkin Ale, so many people having good fun with music and games. We are visiting for Utah and will be back, thanks and for a great cause too!
Amazing place to sit on a summer day while the rest of your party shops or browses. Incredible view of Colorado 14ers, colorful flowers, pleasant atmosphere and accessible bathrooms as well. Note that parking is paid, but you get free wifi in the city.
I’ve been to several festivals here, but my best memory was when I was sitting at one of the restaurants nearby overlooking the park when a few large elk decided to go on an adventure through the park and the nearby parking lot. Was quite festive, watching people both trying to take pictures and running. I wish there was better parking in the area without being so costly or limited on time.

The taffy here is next-level delicious! I don’t normally like taffy but then I went in and they gave me a free sample of salted Carmel! It was to die for! I had to go back the next day! So many amazing flavors classic vanilla, huckleberry, cinnamon, and even fun seasonal ones. Everything we tried was soft, chewy, and perfectly balanced not overly sugary like other places. The staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations. We left with a full bag and honestly wish we’d bought more! This place is a true gem in Estes.

Had the best experience! Wanted to bring a little something from Colorado as an extra thank you for our guides on a trip to Kenya and Tanzania. I called in and the gentleman I spoke with helped me figure out the best mix for 16 gift bags, and shipped it direct to me that same day to arrive in time for our departure. The bags were perfect for travel, carefully packed, and the taffy survived three weeks of being jostled around in my backpack. The guides loved it and so did their kids! I might be in the business of shipping this to Kenya for them now because it was a total hit, and so nice to share something from home.
I have been visiting The Taffy Shop for the last 40 years. This Taffy Shop is the original and the best taffy shop in Estes Park. Not only that but they make their taffy right there in the shop whereas Purple Mountain Taffy has their taffy shipped in. Purple Mountain added a taffy puller to their window just like The Taffy Shop but this is a deception. They DO NOT make their taffy on site. If you are buying taffy from a taffy store wouldn't you want the authentic version from the shop that first opened in 1935!?! Nevermind the Taffy Shop taffy is absolutely fresh and delicious.
We can't leave Estes without stopping here for some Taffy for the road!! Always fresh, soft, and delicious!! So many flavors!

Going cliff camping with KMAC in Estes park Colorado has been one of the most surreal and adrenaline packed experiences of my life. It was so awesome and amazing, the view of the mountains during sunset and sunrise were beautiful. My guides name was Braxton he was really kind and he knew so much about climbing. He also took some really great photos, and made sure I had a great experience when cliff camping. Seeing the Colorado sky at night was really cool. I saw many stars and shooting stars it was really clear. Also the hike was not that far to go cliff camping. I really recommend going cliff camping here you will have an unforgettable experience.
My Dad and I went on the cloud ladder and I was nervous at first but it ended up being the best experience ever! We loved it! Great combo of thrill, adventure, and breathtaking views. Our guide, Adam, was great! We were able to really personalize our experience and feel safe. Would definitely recommend.
Had an absolutely amazing time on the Cloud Ladder Via Ferrata with KMAC! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our guide, Lydia, was fantastic. She was so encouraging, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe and confident every step of the way. I highly recommend KMAC and this adventure for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure. It's a must-do!
A+ experience! I booked the Cliff Camping + Via Ferrera online for my husband's birthday for just the two of us. The company emailed me back to switch around how I planned things, recommending we switch it up for comfort based on other people's experiences which I really appreciated.
The guide we were originally supposed to go with had a conflict, so Braxton stepped in - no issues or changes for us. Braxton was awesome! We met him on site, and he took us to stop for coffee and snacks along the way since we forgot to pack lunch. We also shared that we wanted to rock climb, and even though it wasn't in his itinerary he said no problem and made sure we got to do everything we wanted to do. When he realized we were pretty strong climbers, he adjusted some of the via ferreta route to let us climb more and make it more interesting/challenging for us.
He carried all the gear and did all the setup from start to end, which of course made the whole thing much more relaxing and vacation-like for us. He checked with us on all the food he planned to bring beforehand to account for preferences/allergies. On our break he made us a cheeseboard with jam and gave us cold la croix. For dinner we enjoyed hot tacos, wine, and chocolate chip cookies on the cliff.
Braxton was talkative, friendly, entertaining, and easy going. On the cliff at night we enjoyed hanging out and watching the stars come out, and he pulled out his constellation app and we played a 20-questions type game trying to guess which ones he could spot.
He took a ton of photos and videos for us, and sent them all via a link after the trip.
Braxton is knowledgable, efficient, and is passionate about his work. It was fun asking questions and hearing about other trips he's taken! He also gave us a lot of suggestions on other things/trips we could do based on what we enjoy. Overall our whole experience from booking to the guide and the trip itself was great. We both love hiking and climbing in our free time, and this was definitely a fun and unique experience!
My family and I did the Via Ferrata with Nick and TJ yesterday, and I cannot say enough great things about this trip! Both of the guides reached out to me ahead of time to make sure we were prepared, they were flexible with our schedules and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the climb. If you have any doubts about going with this group let this be your sign to do it!
Jake did a fantastic job! We felt safe the entire time. He would consistently check in on us or assist if needed. He was knowledgeable and had a lighthearted and fun spirited attitude. Absolute great adventure, well worth the money.
It was a fantastic experience! Our guide, Nick, was friendly, knowledgeable, and we felt very safe in his hands. We booked a via ferrata and an overnight stay on the portaledge. We truly felt like a the whole experience was top notch and was more than we expected. We were lucky with the night and weather, and couldn't have asked for more. Nestled on Moraine Avenue in Estes, Snowy Peaks Winery may be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Upon entering, you'll find a wide selection of individual wine bottles and wine-related items. The winery offers wines from its own vineyard as well as from local Colorado vineyards. In addition to their diverse wine collection, Snowy Peaks also provides locally made cheeses, jams, jellies, and chocolates.
After a long day of shopping & then getting lunch, our next stop was this winery. I looked online for wineries in Estes Park, and the menu of wines was fantastic for our taste.
Our taste is for reisling and dessert wines, which their selection met our taste big time. I love how they bring the tastings out. You'll have to see my pictures. They offer 5 tastings for 12.00 and it's well worth the money. They ladies were warm and welcoming when we first walked in & helped seat us too. You can select inside or outdoor seating.
Once seated, you get their menu & pretty cool. You select your choices, then they bring back the menu and number them along with your glasses to correspond with the numbers on the menu.
We selected a dessert wine, some purchased 2 half bottles. It was a nice stop to relax after driving, then shopping. Big Shout Out to the ladies as it's a fabulous winery. Please support your locally-owned businesses. We had a lovely time for a very nice day in Estes Park.

Great Locally produced Colorado wines. I had a flight of 5 focused on reds and hers were whites and roses. Presentation of flights was very appealing. And a homemade pretzel was great to reset the pallet. The staff is happy to share help to make an enjoyable selection.
A regular stop for us, best winery in Estes.... Only one actually. Nonetheless very good wine. The people are great and ready to serve. Good knowledge of their wines and the tastings are fun. They are not set up for food, but they do have a great selection of local meats, cheeses and crackers to pair with your wine. These are prepackaged and can take home or open here at the winery. They even have plates and utensils. Occasionally they do fun things like live music or the "girl scout cookie wine pairing" which was a blast! Quiet and relaxing place
Great little winery in Estes Park. My wife and I went there about 5 weeks ago on a Sunday, and even though they were short staffed and busy, the customer service was excellent, and we never felt neglected or ignored. The food is your standard winery charcuterie and cheese boards, with the exception of their wild game sausage board which offered very unique options.
Their wine, which most is made in their basement, comes from Colorado grapes and is surprisingly delicious. We really liked their wine menu where the employees offer descriptions of each wine, so you can compare and build your wine pallet at your pace.
Fast forward, we brought another couple there on 11/2/25, and they were impressed as much as we were with the selections, food and customer service. We have a much larger group coming into town next month, where we will be staying at an Airbnb a mile away, and we feel confident this won’t disappoint for the 12 of us. Highly recommend this winery when in Estes Park!
Anything less than five stars is a lie. Ive been to wineries all over the country. This is one of my favorite. Great selections of wines, meats, cheeses, and food. Older gentleman who helped us was the best part of the experience. Cannot recommend this place enough for a nice quiet wine tasting/ night.
We have been on a road trip for 2 weeks. To New Mexico then up to Eskes Park Co from Michigan. This stop at the winery was definitely a worthwhile stop. There was something for everyone in our party. The owner and the wine maker were extremely friendly. The wine and mead was really good. We would definitely go out of our way to visit again.
Wonderful patio that is dog friendly with some great wine varieties and a fun tasting display! They just started serving food, and this game meat sausage platter was delicious!
We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was WONDERFUL! They had us outside under some tents, right in the heart of downtown Estes Park. The new food menu was incredible, we were able to sample some of everything (my favorite being the wild game board). Tera was so kind and helpful the entire time we were there, especially when it was supposed to be her day off! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to put on an event, or even just a casual dinner consisting of small plates. Also, the wine was good and reasonably priced

We loved our half-day rafting trip! We went on 7/3/2025 on the 6:45 trip, which was early, but you get an hour and half to nap on the bus there! We met at the Estes highschool parking lot (no bathrooms here) and signed paperwork and then boarded the old school bus (get there early so you can get your own seat!). Our drive Lisa was hilarious and kind and got us all to the first stop safely. The ride through the mountains and through Fort Collins was beautiful. At the first stop there are 3 porta-potties to use and then you get your helmet and life vest. They make sure your life vest is tight! At this point, Brian talked us through everything that could potentially go wrong. We learned what to do if you fall out, how to use a paddle correctly, and why you should not stand up in the river if you fall out (your feet will get caught in the rocks!). They taught what to do if we fall in, or get caught under the boat. It's important that you are able to listen to directions and work together! We then boarded the busses and again and got a preview of our route as we went by the river. At the next stop, we were told which groups we were in and then boarded our boats. Our guide, Izak who was very kind and told us what commands to know (paddle 1, paddle 2, all forward, and also back 1, etc). Izak sat in the back and showed us how to secure our feet in the pockets and underneath the center parts of the boat. The water was very cold but I'm glad we did not spend the money on the wetsuits because the water felt good in the hot sun! We did get splashed quite a bit but thankfully no one fell out. I think Izak was doing most of the work in the back to steer us! We did several exhilarating level 3 rapids and then stopped and all got out. I think there was one porta-potty at this location. We got back on the boat and drove a short distance to the second location. Lisa gave everyone the option to stay on the bus if they did not want to get back on the boats (everyone got back on the boats!). We all got back out and into our boats and headed down the river again! This time we got to do a fancy spin-around maneuver that Izak talked us through and it was great! There was one spot where they let everyone jump in the water and splash around a little. At the end, we all got out and had a moment to get photos with our guide before heading back to Estes. The half-day trip was perfect for us! Our legs were tired from all the hiking we did before so I'm glad we were able to do the rafting trip in the morning and then have all afternoon to relax.

We had a ball white water rafting yesterday! It is very organized. They have it down to a science. We have been rafting before in the Smoky Mountains. This was a smoother trip so great for people who are nervous but want to try it out. It may be the time of year we did it. The water is lower right now. It takes around 6 hours due to the long bus ride.
Rob was our guide. He was great! Rob is very personable and was great with our teenagers. He has been doing this a while and you can tell.
There is a spot they stop and make one of the rafts a diving board and you can jump into the water. Our daughter loved that!
We would definitely recommend this to friends. It was the perfect way to end our vacation!

We had a great experience with the office staff assisting us pre-trip. Our bus driver was a fun and safe for the ride there and back. Rob was an excellent river guide and we had a blast with our two young kiddos!
We did the 1/2 day rafting on 8/8. We decided to go with the early 6:30 am trip. The bus ride there gave us some time to get a little nap in before our adventure and our driver was so great. This was our first time rafting as a family, and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, our adventure was filled with excitement and memorable moments. The scenery was breathtaking! We opted not to use the wet suits and I’m glad we didn’t because the water felt great even though it was cold. We even got the opportunity to go for a swim which was awesome and the kids loved it.
Our guide was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable and personable. Rob really made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip while making it a blast! His expertise not only ensured our safety but also added to the fun, sharing interesting facts about the area and guiding us through each rapid with ease. We were done by 12:30 and had the rest of the day to explore and do everything else we had planned.
Overall, it was a perfect family outing, filled with adventure and laughter. We can’t wait to go again! Highly recommend Rapid Transit Rafting, it was the best time and will be a memory we cherish forever.
We did the half day on 07/24. We had a blast. Our guide was Rylee. If you get a chance, request her! My boys are still talking about her today on how much fun she was. She also gave us a great lunch recommendation for Rocky Mountain Deli. So Rylee if you read these.. the deli was awesome!! As for the tour. It was so much fun. Beautiful scenery and great rapids! Everyone we came in contact with was amazing. Do yourself a favor and book a trip!
We did the full day. This was our first experience with rafting and our guide (Jeremy) was excellent. Knowledgeable, calm, entertaining, and fun. It felt like we were just hanging out with friends all day. We had a great time and my kids both want to do the more difficult rapids now. Art was our driver and he was awesome, too.
Great Service at a Great Price!
We made a last-minute decision to go white water rafting while visiting Estes Park, CO—and it turned out to be an amazing experience! We had kids aged 10 and 7 with us, and they absolutely loved it. Our guide, Rob, was fantastic—knowledgeable, fun, and made sure everyone felt safe and had a great time. Highly recommend this adventure for families!

My wife and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this trip again after a great experience. The half day trip was a great experience especially as the company provided transportation to and from the venue. The journey itself was worthwhile as one was able to see many different types of scenery and environments.
Our guide was excellent, even if my wife did take a while to bring her temperature down to normal. At well over six feet with died blonde hair and deep tan, he cut an imposing figure. On top of that for all he had a good sense of humour.
Sufficient attention was paid to safety before the boats were launched and despite it being the middle of Summer the rapids and white water were sufficient to provide many thrills and much excitement.
We arrived safely back in Estes Park fully satisfied and having wonderful memories.

Lily Lake, located on the south side of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, is a picturesque alpine lake with a flat 0.8-mile trail around its perimeter. The area offers several moderate and difficult hikes for those seeking more challenging trails. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of Longs Peak and Mount Meeker at sunrise or sunset. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and towering mountains, providing a serene setting for an easy family-friendly hike.
Lily lake has a hidden gem. If you take this hike to the back side you will see a post to a different trail. When you turn to look it looks like just another trail. If you do take this trail, go about 300 Hundred yards and you will see finger trails off to the left. Take those. You will not be disappointed.

Quite scenic with different levels of detail just before and during golden hour. Very easy trail to walk, beautiful reflection on the water. We also saw a family of 3 elk while there, an old bull, a female and a young one as well! Great parking is close as well.
Was heading to the Rocky Mountain National Lake but didn’t realize you have to get a reservation so spent an hour here before the opening at 2pm. I found some chipmunks and fed them a little and it was so fun.
You can walk around the lake and further in but I didn’t do it this time around. They’ve got a handful of benches so if you want a nice view, good weather, and got free time, this is a great place for a picnic or even reading a book.
Couldn't spend much time due to the tight trip schedule. But I loved every minute that I spent in Colorado. I hope we protect our mother nature 🙏🏼. Would love to visit again asap. I will come back for more during snowtime.
Such a beautiful lake with amazing views. We stopped for a short walk and took some amazing photos shortly before sunset. Twins Peak is across the way. Heard it's a great place for you to find moose, unfortunately we didn't see any. Overall, this was an amazing way to end the day.🫎
We happened upon this lovely lake driving North on CO Route 7 up towards Estes Park. Absolutely beautiful scenery during our entire drive, and this Lake was no exception. It seems to be a heavy tourist stop, so might be especially crowded during certain days/times. Well-worth a quick visit to take in the scenery, grab a few photos, and enjoy the fresh air and the Mountain quiet.
Beautiful views as soon as you pull in. Very easy walk/hike, multiple places to just sit and enjoy the water and have lunch. 10/10 recommend this lake. And will be coming back!
Awesome, cooling and fun hike with our kids. I love the lake, the moose, well-maintained trails and all the incredible birds and Colorado wildlife. We had a blast! Recommend for families with kids. Come early, parking gets little crazy! Bring your sunscreen, snacks and comfortable trail shoes. You and your kids will have lots of fun.

Meadow Mini Golf is a long-standing mini-golf spot located in Estes Park, offering a family-friendly atmosphere amid flower gardens and mountain views. This classic course has been entertaining visitors for over 60 years and provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors during the summer months. While it may not look as fancy as some other options, it offers a challenging course and friendly service from the owner.
We vacationed in Estes park in 1990. My mom hit a hole in one and got a free pass. She kept the pass all these years. We were going to Estes park with our grandkids and she said find that free pass. I laughed and looked for it. Couldn’t find it. But going through her papers after she passed there it was. I saw it and started laughing and crying.

Visited this course over 5 years ago and it was in better shape. It's definitely been rundown a bit. Still cheap and fun though. I was disappointed in the lack of Marmots however. All I saw was a bunch of ground squirrels and a bunny.
This is an awesome establishment that has gone through a rebrand but is still the best value for fun in Estes park. $6 rounds with super nice staff and they have put some TLC into the course and it is back in fairly nice shape. Don’t bother with Fun City, make a stop here!
Old school fun! Simple, but mildly challenging putt putt course. It is a must / favorite stop for us when we visit Estes Park. Great value for the amount of fun, only $3 per game. Highly recommend playing at least one game here. Mr. Mitchell the owner is a very very nice guy, who likes to talk to everyone.
Affordable mini golf course that was super fun. It's 18 holes and has a few unique holes like a water feature and windmill.
The guy running it was very nice and helpful. We even got a free round for a hole in one on the last hole.

Real West Old Time Photography is a tourist attraction that features photos with dogs. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the pictures with the dogs were fun.
The woman who helped us was extremely nice even though she was very busy.
It is awesome that the business has been I. The family for so long and that she had made some of the costumes herself.
Our photos came out great. She even helped us take photos of our dog and it was adorable. She obvious knew what she was doing.
I would have like more time and options to take the photos though.
I felt fairly rushed.
I also think the digital copies were over priced.

Joanne and her daughter Holly Did a amazing job for my wife and I even fixed an issue with no questions asked when I came back will recommend them to friends and family.

The lady who worked there was amazing. She was so nice to my whole family took numerous photos, helped us get in position. She made a product that we will cherish for years. Honestly might be the greatest physical possession I own now.
The owner or the lady at the front was rude and disrespectful, she made a comment about the person I was with and called him a her and when we corrected her she said well it is hard to tell who is who nowadays. We walked out and will Never return.
We love our old time photo!!!!! The fact that dogs could join made it a no brainer for us. Staff was super nice. They had a large squeaker attached to the camera which made it nice to get our dogs attention (sure it works just a good with babies) Definitely something we will cherish forever!

To have the pictures framed in the shop was expensive, but that's the price of convenience, I suppose.
Overall, it was a lot of fun and the pictures on the wall remind me of a great vacation every time I see them.

Creativity cabin was so awesome!!! We were able to walk in and paint. The staff was really sweet and helpful. AND they shipped our projects home since we don’t live the in mountains. Everything came incredibly well packaged and nothing was broken. 10\10!!!
This was a fantastic experience! The prices are extremely reasonable (especially for a tourist town) and Chloe was extremely attentive and helpful in navigating the best way to make our colors stand out and how to write nicely on our pottery. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cool souvenir or anyone visiting Estes Park for any reason. Their pottery selection was extensive and there are many usable items as well as fun Knick-knack items. We painted a large plate for a baby’s birthday and our cost was only $22, which included everything; the plate, all of the paint colors we wanted, glazing/firing, and all of the time we spent in the studio.
we found this adorable craft store at the perfect moment and had the absolute best time painting tote bags that we could take home as soon as we were done painting! patti (the owner) went above and beyond to help us create our dream bags and even taught us some art skills! will definitely be back next time i am in Estes!
Creativity Cabin was amazing! My husband and I had a double date here and what a wonderful experience. Patty, the owner, was very helpful. We all made coffee mugs and she was there every step of the way answering all of our questions. If you are looking for a fun and creative day, Creativity Cabin is the place to go.
Went as a group of 5 for a friends birthday and we had a blast! The staff was so so helpful and patient with 5 artistically challenged women. They have so many options to paint as well as paint colors. Our favorite part was the stencils/ silk screens provided to base our crafts on. So much room for creativity in this place, hence the name! 10/10 recommend!
Fun time with family-creating a stained glass piece and memories too. Friendly and knowledgeable instructor with patience too! Would absolutely go back to take other classes offered. Highly recommend.

Mountain Blown Glass, Inc offers a unique experience for visitors to witness the art of glass blowing by artists Dave and Cory Clifton. The family-owned gallery specializes in creating one-of-a-kind, colorful blown glass pieces that are both functional and ornamental. Demonstrations take place regularly throughout the day at their studio located inside the gallery. Customers have praised their great communication, reasonable prices, and fast turnaround on custom orders.
We contacted MBG about 3 weeks before our big day and I crossed my fingers they would be available to help us with our unity ceremony glass. I got an email less than 12 hours later cheerfully saying that they would love to help. Cory and I scheduled a phone call to get some colors and planning figured out and less than a week later we had our beads. After the wedding we mailed them back, easy as can be, and got to have another amazing conversation with Cory about our glass visions. We ordered many amazing products and Cory worked with me each step of the way to talk about colors and different products. We even asked him to make a little pumpkin (family tradition) out of our wedding glass and it’s my absolute favorite piece. I got an email with pictures showing our final products and a week later we had our glass pieces in hand. They are beyond stunning and I can’t wait to order more from Cory and the Mountain Blown Glass team. Of all our wedding vendors, these guys are in the top 3 people we’ve had the joy of working with. Thank you so much. You’ll never know just how special these pieces are to my husband and I and I know our family will love them too.

This place is awesome! We used their coloring in our wedding for a sand ceremony. Afterwards, we lost the sand until ten years later in a random storage box. They made 2 great pieces for us. My wife, kids and I all loved it.
We loved this local shop! I try to buy local art from each location I travel to and this shop was perfect. They had several items in the store to choose from, but also take custom orders if you live in the area. The man running the shop actually made the piece I purchased and was able to tell me the history behind it. I would love to return here.
We used their glass for our wedding unity ceremony instead of sand. They made us beautiful pieces that will remind us of our incredible day every time we look at them. The service in the shop was great as well. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Loved every part of working with them!

My husband and I stopped in the Estes Park gallery today. The store is amazing with all of the beautiful pictures. The gal working was so friendly and an absolute delight to talk to. We already love and have been using Mr. Stensland’s guide books on photography and hiking. We are so excited about our new books (signed copies of Whispers in the Wilderness and Wild Light).

Erik’s work is just out of this world! His passion for what he does only adds to the value. I purchased a 30 x 45 plaque this year after admiring his work for many years. My experience in the shop was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the best part was that they told me I could send them a picture of my blank wall in the room I wanted my plaque, and they would do as many mock ups as I wanted of different prints and sizes. It helped me make the best decision, and I love the choice that I have made. They were also very helpful when I was choosing the proper lighting for the plaque (highly recommended)! I am looking forward to purchasing my next piece in the future!

My dad and I stopped by this gallery during our vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park. I'm so glad we did! The photography is absolutely incredible. There are very high quality large prints for sale, but also affordable smaller ones which were also much higher quality than I've seen elsewhere. We have a wonderful conversation with the host Nancy, and really enjoyed our time there. I was surprised to discover the coffee table books sold there, which are filled with inspirational observations from nature, and packed with incredible photography. This place is really something special. Would absolutely recommend stopping by!
The images are incredible, but way too expensive and the facility has NO AIR CONDITIONING! You expect people to pay THOUSANDS and TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars, and no A/C during hot summer months??? It's time to step up to the 21st century - what are you doing with all your profit margin????

I can't recommend this group enough to anyone who is looking for an authentic ride. My wife and I had such a blast with William and Jelly. Our guide was awesome and attentive to not only our comfort and needs but our horses as well. We were so happy to have this experience. It was a 2 hour ride at a great pace and has an incredible view. This was the highlight of our trip and we will forever cherrish the time. We weren't rushed, we took our time and had an amazing time. Wonderful experience. We had a group of seven ranging from 15 to 62 years old. We chose the two hour ride which was perfect. The views were amazing along the top as you look down into Estes Park and into Rocky Mtn National Park.
The staff was great. They do a nice job preparing you for what to expect and how to handle your horse. Our guide Nathan was personable and we felt safe going through some rugged terrain with him as he kept a very watchful eye on us the whole time.
One of our riders was a bigger guy (250 lbs) and they had the horses to accomodate him.

Horses were very healthy looking and appears to be very well cared for. My wife is experience while my daughter and grand daughter are not. The loved the trail they went on. The best time ever! Meghan was our guide and we had a party of 6 with all ages. Over 60, mid 30s, and an 8 and 6 year old. She was the best with them and the hour ride was perfect. My daughter is begging to go again. Meghan was so great with my kids and the horses were beautiful and calm.

We had the most incredible 2-hour private trail ride with Sombrero Stables, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and completely at ease—even the kids were immediately excited and comfortable.
Our guide, Alice, was a true gem. She shared fascinating local stories, kept the kids engaged, and made the ride feel both magical and safe. Our horses—Jelly, Peanut Butter, Pork Chop, and Chewbacca—each had their own adorable personalities, which made the ride even more fun and memorable.
The views were breathtaking, the pace was perfect, and the entire experience felt like something out of a Western daydream (with a few hilarious horse antics thrown in).

I had an amazing experience on a horseback ride through the National Park (moraine park) with the wranglers Lola and Abby. We were a small group of 3 people and learnt a lot about the park and the environment. The trail was lovely going through forests, open fields and over rivers with gorgeous views. The horses were very well behaved, mine was Diesel, he was adorable.
Although not cheap at 120$ for a 2h ride, I would totally recommend Jackson Stables. They are very well organized, the horses seem well cared for and trained, and staff is friendly and efficient.

Kudos to Trent, Clara and Logan for giving us a safe and amazing riding experience! The stables were clean and well kept and the staff was very caring towards them, each other and the riders. We heard multiple times from the locals that Jackson's stables was the best and only place they recommend visitors to ride at!
My daughter and I had a fantastic ride on Monday. Josie and Kate were wonderful and it was a nice change to actually be able to do some trotting! Only thing is I wish they would have stopped at some point take pictures of the riders. It would have been a great memento.
Awesome experience! Anyone from beginner to advanced riders can participate, the staff and horses are wonderful. We did a 1 hour trail ride - it was a bit steep and rocky in some spots, careful if you're afraid of heights! It was a really easy slow pace though, plenty of stops.
Really enjoyed riding the horse through the Rockies. This was my second time on a horse in my life and I had a bit of concern about falling off a cliff going in, but these horses know what theyre doing and it was great. The price is a little steep in my opinion, but based on the market, theyre great. Only complaint is my butt and legs kind of hurt after the hour ride. But idk if that's me not being experienced with horseriding or if it might be the saddle. Either way, I'll probably be back if im in Colorado again.
I did an hour on the Glacier Basin trail and absolutely loved it. The wranglers and the guides were amazing. They kept us safe with good info. Highly recommend this place!
Took our family of five on the Glacier Basin ride and it was absolute Heaven! Our sons who are 6 and 8 are new to riding and the staff went above and beyond to ensure it was a safe and enjoyable experience for them. Emma and Kate were especially encouraging and kind. Both boys said today was the best day ever and I have to agree!

Such a cute spot in this little town! They have ice cream and taffy but we just went for the ice cream. We got one of their black raspberry cones and tried the ice cream which was so soft and refreshing! Would recommend this place.
I absolutely love taffy - it’s my favorite candy and I only buy it twice a year when we go to Estes Park. This was the first time trying this brand. It’s not my favorite taffy but that’s just my personal taste. The taste to me is more like cotton candy with a heavy presence of powdered sugar. All the flavors I bought were over powered by the powdered sugar taste. I prefer traditional creamy flavorful taffy in wax paper wrapping. I don’t want to fight trying to get the candy off the plastic cellophane wrapper which was an enormous mess because it sticks horribly to the wrapper. I had to put it in the fridge just to be able to eat it. I know better now and will buy elsewhere. They do offer a ton of flavors and it’s self serve so you can pop in quickly and get what you want.
I am not usually a fan of taffy, but this is the BEST taffy I have ever had. It’s amazing & we bought so much to take home with us to share with our friends!! (And lots for ourselves too haha) it’s a must stop if you’re in the area! The salted caramel vanilla is AMAZING!!

I really like the flavor of their taffy, but wrapping them in plastic instead of wax paper is a really bad idea. Each piece is really messy and difficult to get out. Sticky and messy. Bummer.

We have been going to all the many wonderful art galleries in Estes Park for years, and Aspen and Evergreen is one of our favorites. They have an amazing selection of paintings, photography, ceramics/pottery, glassware, jewelry, and more. They do a great job of focusing on Colorado artists and giving you a little background on them. They even have a selection of books by Colorado authors. They participate in the first Friday of the month “Art Groove” where you can meet some of the artists in person while you enjoy live music, wine, and snacks. When we were considering buying an original painting and jewelry there, those who have helped us each time were extremely helpful and knowledgeable - without hovering or being pushy. It has always been a delight to browse and shop at this gallery, and we absolutely love what we’ve bought there.
Such a great shop in Estes Park with unique artist created designs. I bought a ceramic tree with various ceramic toppers to change with the seasons. The staff at the shop were so helpful and wrapped it very well so nothing broke. I highly recommend the s shop!

Beautiful park! We were visiting the area and read about this dog park. We were so thrilled to see the multiple areas for dogs and also the fresh water and agility course! For one of our dogs, the chattering ground squirrels taunting him from outside the fence were great excitement. For our other dog, learning the agility course was a fun challenge! It was a very clean park and we even saw a few geese with babies on the pond.

We were driving to rocky mountain national park and saw these elk in this park. We stopped to get some photos and videos. The 2 bull elk were pushing each other around and the big guy was not letting the younger bull anywhere near his herd. Super cool experience. The park is really nice too and is full of a lot of things to do. Beautiful and peaceful place to bring your family.

There is also a water area that the dogs can cool off in on the warmer days. Free dirt parking lot with limited parking.

Amazing dog park. This town loves their dogs. Water bowls, toys, poop bags are just a few of the great things available here. There are 3 sections as well. One for small dogs and 2 for large dogs. Well maintained and most of all, dog approved.

Kruger Rock Trail is a moderate four-mile loop located in Hermit Park Open Space, just southeast of Estes Park. The trail offers stunning panoramic views of the Estes Park valley and the Continental Divide from the top of Kruger Rock. Along the way, hikers can enjoy a picturesque high-altitude meadow with diverse wildflowers, including Mountain Iris in late spring.
What an incredible hike!! Great views without overly exerting yourself on a multi-mile climb. This hike, which ends up being around a four mile loop leads participants on a beautiful trek, with incredible views, that nearly anyone can do! And you can even bring your pup!! Highly recommend!

This 4-mile trail is such a hidden gem! It’s tucked away off a dirt road at the top of a mountain in Hermit Park, and we honestly couldn’t believe how quiet and peaceful it was. We hiked it in late May and the trail was completely dry, no snow or mud to worry about, although afternoon showers are frequent in this area.
It’s all uphill on the way up, so be ready for a steady climb. Hiking poles definitely came in handy, especially for pacing ourselves. The views along the way are already pretty incredible, but once you reach the top and look out over Estes Park? Absolutely breathtaking.
We timed our hike to catch the sunset and started around 6:45 p.m., wrapping up just before 9. It was dark when we made it back to the car, so a headlamp or flashlight would've came in handy.
Once we reached the top, the sunset made the whole valley glow, and we had the place almost entirely to ourselves. We only passed one other couple the entire time, which made it feel so peaceful.
There is a short rock scramble right at the summit. Our 50lb goldendoodle made it up just fine, but coming down was a little trickier for him, and he got nervous on one section and we had to help him down.
If you’re looking to escape the crowds of Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park but still want those jaw-dropping views, this hike is absolutely worth it. Total stunner.
There’s a $10 parking fee at the start of the dirt road, but honestly, it’s money well spent for the experience. Highly recommend!
Beautiful trail, multiple astounding views of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains, lots of wildlife and probably the best hiking area in Northern Colorado! Moderately difficult, especially at the end but as a 6’4, 300 pound man it was totally doable. Took me 3 hours in total and that’s while stopping to take photos and videos.
Love this hike! It was a bit challenging for me as it is a constant slow ascent but the views are fabulous along the way - and rewarding when you reach the top!
This is a beautiful trail just outside of Estes Park. Difficulty is moderate. It has wonderful views. Compared to other trails in the area, it was refreshingly less busy.
The only negative is a $10 parking fee.

We really enjoyed this hike. The trail was well marked and the view at the top was amazing. It took us about 3 hours roundtrip with an 8 year old and a dog. There is a place to fill up water and a restroom near the trailhead. There were very few people on the trail on a Thursday afternoon. You do need to pay for a park pass at the entrance but the machine does accept credit cards.

The staff were so kind to our students and helpful in understanding the park. Whether in person or by email, all our questions were answered quickly and compassionately. The park was beautiful and the center was a great place to kick off our visit!
Pretty standard visitor center and gift shop on the bottom floor, but also has a pretty neat and informational area on the second floor that focuses on the creation of the Rocky Mountains and the different types of wildlife that can be found in the area. All in all, it was an enjoyable stop before embarking even deeper into Rocky Mountain National Park.
Ranger was so great and helped us pick out the perfect hike. It was the end of our day and we'd already done a somewhat strenuous hike so we just wanted to be able to walk a few miles total and see a bit more of the park before we wrapped up the next day. She listened to all our requirements and recommended a nice pretty hike (with lots of bear poop). Everyone was so friendly.
