Park
Nature & Wildlife Areas
Nairobi National Park is a unique conservation center and wildlife sanctuary located just 10 kilometers from the city center of Nairobi, making it the only national park in Africa situated within a capital city. Covering an area of 117 square kilometers, this park is home to a diverse range of Kenya's wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, and a rhino sanctuary. It also boasts over 400 bird species.
An incredible place! You can see wild animals in their natural habitat – lions, giraffes, rhinos, and zebras. A ride in an off-road vehicle amidst such wildlife is an unforgettable adventure. The park is beautiful and offers a true sense of connection with nature. I highly recommend it!
Benedykt M — Google review
Great experience and fun day. I saw most of the animals although when it was announced that there was a lion in the area, everyone would rush to get there and they'd get close to the lion to get photo opportunities and they drove in the path in which the lion was walking and I didn't like that. There's supposed to be a 10 meter distance from you and the animals which was not followed by many of the drivers. Overall a great experience.
Tammy E — Google review
I visited the Nairobi National Park twice on two separate days and both visits were amazing. A large variety of animals can be seen in this park except for the elephant. Come here in the morning when it's cool. In the afternoon the animals will find shade to avoid sun exposure, which means you will likely not see them.
Jungletraveler00 1 — Google review
A pretty magical and unexpected place to be honest. The proximity to Nairobi means it is really accessible and there are a great range of animals to see, which is all the more fascinating because of it closeness to Nairobi. I had a great time and thought it was amazing. I went for the full day having lunch at a Maasai lodge and after the main gate the jeeps thinned out which gave a better sense of just being there with the animals. Highly recommend going to see the animals. We saw lions, hippo, giraffes, rhinos, zebra, ostrich, crocodiles, antelope, gazelles, baboons and loads of different birds. Enjoy.
John H — Google review
Oh My Gosh ! I entered the park with the expert help of the Manager of Ras Travel Noha along with my paid Safari Driver. At first , I was like okay I want to see a lion/lioness and was informed that it doesn’t work like that by my Safari Driver . He then said we will drive through Nairobi National Park and he will be on the lookout for lions ….. ooooh ,but there are no guarantees . Well, we started along , with the guide driving fairly slowly thru the park . Along the drive , we saw Zebra, giraffes , hippos , and all manner of wild birds and animals …but no lions . As the sun just started to set over the horizon and we were near the end of my day safari through Nairobi National Park , and I was just starting to feel just a little bit disappointed that I would not see a lion , a young male lion came slowly walking along the dirt road with another safari truck on its tail taking pictures . I smiled with joy and took what video I could from the distance we were at and thought that would be my lion experience . Then ,a little distance more ? I saw a grown female lioness just lounging in some grass , and a little distance more a male lion standing broad and tall surveying the area . YEAH !!!! I saw a lioness, a young lion and a Lion , roar . 🦁🙂
Wamuiru L — Google review
What a rich wild life. Big park, with plenty of animals to see. Beautiful rhinos to giraffes, zebras and crocodiles. Also surreal picture to see the city of Nairobi in the background of it.
Steve W — Google review
This was one of the most memorable and wonderful experiences I’ve had. Although I didn’t see all the big five, I saw a lion, but he didn’t look happy at all and had something around his neck. I thought this was their natural habitat. The drive was tough as expected, and I had a great time. Regarding costs, follow me on TikTok for the breakdown.
Covenant — Google review
This national park is a hidden pearl. It is adjacent to the Nairobi international airport but it has so many beautiful animals. Its south side is open to other reserves which allows the animals to move around. We saw lion, dozens of giraffes, hundreds of zebras, over 15 white rhinos with a baby rhino, hyenas, ostrich, all kinds of antelope, etc in a short 3 hours. Very good place to visit if you only have a short time in Nairobi

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Located on the outskirts of Nairobi National Park along Langata Road, Giraffe Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of endangered Rothschild giraffes. The center, situated within the grounds of a luxurious guesthouse called Giraffe Manor, aims to protect and preserve these majestic creatures while providing educational opportunities for both children and visitors. One of its main attractions is a raised platform where guests can feed giraffes from specially prepared pallets.
A must-visit in Nairobi! Such a fun and unique experience getting up close to the giraffes — they’re gentle and beautiful. The staff were welcoming and shared great information about conservation. Perfect spot for photos and learning more about Kenya’s wildlife. Great for both adults and kids!
Hasina I — Google review
The Giraffe Center is such an interesting and fun place to visit! The area is big, clean, and well maintained, and the toilets are also very clean. You can feed the giraffes up close, which is an amazing experience. The staff are nice and helpful, and I didn’t have to wait long in line. A great spot for both adults and kids — highly recommended! The things selling in their shops are a but expensive and they only accept card !

We visited the Giraffe Centre and had such a lovely experience! It was about a 45-minute drive from Nairobi, and even though it was a bit crowded, everything was well organized getting tickets was quick and smooth. We got to feed the giraffes, take some great photos, and the staff made sure everything was clean and hygienic with handwashing before and after. A really fun and unique experience, perfect for a quick visit from the city! 🦒✨

The Giraffe Centre was such an exciting and memorable place to visit! Getting to see the giraffes up close and even feed them was an incredible experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the area was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend anyone visiting Nairobi to check out this place — it’s fun, educational, and perfect for all ages.
Ed L — Google review
We had a wonderful experience visiting the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi. Feeding the giraffes was an absolute highlight – they provide the feed for free to everyone, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. There were plenty of giraffes around, and it was such a unique feeling to be up close with them. We also enjoyed the informative session where they explained more about giraffes and warthogs, which added a nice educational touch to the visit. One important thing to note is that they do not accept cash, so be sure to carry a card or use mobile payment options. Overall, it was a memorable and fun experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nairobi!
Uva P — Google review
The highlight here is to feed giraffes directly. You are given some dry food in a small dish upon entry and you will stand on a platform and the giraffes will come to you and eat those food from your hand. Interesting experience and certainly worth a visit. Half hour should give you enough time to visit.
Harry Z — Google review
A beautiful and educational experience in Nairobi! The Giraffe Centre is one of those places that truly connects you with nature. It’s amazing to see the elegant Rothschild giraffes up close — and even feed them by hand! 🦒 The experience is both fun and educational, with friendly staff who share great insights about giraffe conservation and local wildlife efforts. The area is calm, green, and well-maintained — perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for something unique and relaxing to do in Nairobi. There’s also an informative gallery and a small nature trail nearby if you want to extend your visit. 💰 Entry Fees (as of 2025): Non-resident adult: KES 1,500 Non-resident child: KES 750 Resident adult: KES 400 Resident child: KES 200 Children under 3: Free Tip: Visit early in the morning when it’s quiet and the giraffes are most active. You’ll get the best photos and a truly peaceful experience!

Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, offers a diverse range of attractions for tourists. One such place worth visiting is Karura Forest, located just 5 kilometers from the city center. Despite facing threats like land grabbing and illegal logging in the past, Karura Forest stands as a testament to conservation efforts. Open to the public, it boasts attractions like the Karura River, Karura Caves, and Karura Waterfalls.
Aside from the scenic nature trails, Karura Forest also has a hidden gem—a charming café where you can unwind with refreshing virgin cocktails (not all😇) and light bites after your walk!

Great place to get away from the diesel fumes of the city. Quite heavily shaded by a canopy of trees, making it a nice place to cool down too. We spotted deer(?) and monkeys.

Excellent location for a walk, hike and bike ride. Cool ambience along the nature trails with a chance of encountering fauna. Very refreshing from Nairobi bustle Facilities for tennis available.

Really great place to spend a few hours. Did the bike rental and trail ride which was really fun. Nice waterfall on the route. Trees create a beautiful canopy which keeps things cool. Some of the trail is a little tough to bike.

Beautiful forest, so calm and peaceful. We rented bikes when we went first time but second time chose to walk instead. Both were lovely. There are two paths apparently. One is 5km and the other one is 10km. Marked up as yellow and blue. We saw a lot of people walking also with their kids and friendly dogs.

The National Museum of Kenya is a must-visit destination in Nairobi for those interested in delving into the rich heritage and history of East Africa. Located on Museum Hill road, this museum boasts diverse cultural and natural history exhibits, including an extensive collection of stuffed birds and mammals, fossils from Lake Turkana, local art displays, and a remarkable Geology gallery featuring rocks and minerals. The Hominid vault houses prehistoric bones and fossils, offering insight into early life forms.
What a great experience. The exhibits were well laid out and the room with the skulls was spectacular. The animal exhibit made me feel small but the large collection of birds was nicely done.

I have never felt so compelled to write a review whilst still on holiday. We spent an absolutely fascinating few hours with our wonderful tour guide Hannah. She was so incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. She took us on an absolute journey around the museum. So much thought and love has gone into this place. The history was captivating -we were utterly absorbed and at times moved. This is a place you cannot miss if you are visiting Nairobi!
Umbreen K — Google review
Nice variety of things to see. It’s probably not the most modern of museums but certainly worth a visit. The lighting is not that great in many places, so make sure to take your best glasses if you want to see everything. Buying a ticket is also a bit of a mission, but probably understandable in the drive to do everything through “e-citizen”. On the other hand, the card machine in the shop was not working, so I was not able to purchase a souvenir.
Thomas M — Google review
National Museum of Kenya Nairobi is an interesting place to visit if one is in Nairobi. It tells the developmental and political history of the country, and gives an insight into the present population distribution. It is also a place to learn a lot about the zoogeography of the country as models of the various animal species are preserved at the museum. There's also a small zoo within the compound where a few life animals are showcased. The gate fee is about 1500 Kenyan shillings into the museum for foreigners. I'm not going to upload models as I'm not sure if this is allowed
Olu S — Google review
Solid museum. 1250 KES so basically $10 USD (Oct 2025). You need 2 hours to see the whole museum and maybe 3-4 hrs if you want to read thru. I enjoyed it, not amazing but still interesting to learn about animals and the history of Kenya. Independence granted by 1963. The are a bunch of birds that fills a 3 classroom size room with taxidermy birds. Pretty deep collection. There’s a snake zoo nearby inside and a small botanical garden. Random: no water bottles allowed so you’ll just place it on the front counter and pickup when you leave.
Justin L — Google review
Great museum to visit if you find yourself in Niarobi looking for a daytime activity. Lots of nicely presented displays on the history of Kenya, animals, birds, tribal history etc. also a snake exhibit. Enjoy!

We recommend you take about 3 hours out of your day to fully see this place. It was a really wonderful experience and we learned so much. The reptile house is great for kids. They make you leave your water bottles outside but you get them back in the end. Highly recommend!!

Visitors can also explore Natural Lamu for beauty products made from natural elements found on Lamu Island, as well as shop for leather footwear at Ikwetta and artisanal chocolates at The Chocolate Bar.
I absolutely loved this mall. Staying in the Trademark Hotel, I was literally able to walk from the hotel and into the mall, and the mall has EVERYTHING a person could need to purchase. Great shops, great restaurants as well as entertainment venues.

This beautiful area boasts a charming old side that contrasts with the modern side, yet they coexist harmoniously. It’s a family-friendly destination with ample open spaces for children to play, a bowling alley, and numerous restaurants. Your visit to the Village Market will undoubtedly be a positive experience.

Nice concept with the plants and colourful decoration. This is a medium to big mall with many shops. Banks, 3 telecom companies, clothing stores, African craft stores and more. There are also many places to choose amongst to eat. There is also a bowling alley but no cinema.

Village Market Nairobi is one of the best lifestyle destinations in the city. The mall has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options — from international brands to unique local stores. The food court and dining areas are excellent, with something for every taste, and the environment feels safe, clean, and family-friendly. I especially like the open, airy layout which makes it stand out compared to other malls. Parking is convenient and well organized, and staff are always helpful. Whether for shopping, dining, or just relaxing, Village Market never disappoints.

Please, please, please consider removing that useless height bar that is located right in the middle of the open air parking lot. The bar should only regarde cars going to the upper parking lot! Because of that bar I must do a huge detour whenever I'm coming from Gigiri to Rosslyn or the other way around. I go to Village Market at least 3 times a week and I have a car 2,30mts high. It's so frustrating! I beg you to please consider removing it! Photos are attached to my review.

Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, offers a diverse range of attractions for tourists. Among these is GP Karting Ltd, located in the heart of the city. This premier go-karting facility provides an exhilarating experience for both adrenaline junkies and racing enthusiasts. The venue boasts a high-octane track that promises excitement for drivers of all levels. Situated along Carnivore Road, off Langata Road, GP Karting also offers dining services to complement the thrilling racing experience.
Great service, great location! It really gets busy so come early. They have revamped the tracks so it looks really good. They take the last customers at 6pm and accept kids as well. Rates between 1,000 - 1,500 depending on the age.

Very welcoming staff. They close a 6pm but I called them early and asked them to wait for us and they did. Smooth riding grounds that are fun to manoeuvre. Has a bar and food if you get there hungry. Fare prices too. It was a thrill.
Teresah M — Google review
Easily accessible off langata road. The sign-in service is good. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy. We waited about an hour for the 10minute ride. The staff all around are helpful. The charges are ksh 900-1300 depending on age. The seating areas, toilets and cafe/restaurant can be improved considering the long wait periods and the number of people and kids. We didn’t get to try out the menu but wasn’t very inviting either. The bar has a range of soft drinks and beers. The kids enjoyed the go karting. They take kids from the age of 5 years and have an assistant who rides with the small ones or first-timers. Proved to be very helpful. Some kids had their personal helmets, kit and go kart. Didn’t get the details but seems to be an option.
Berny K — Google review
I found the place to be just okay. The cars are okay but I feel they could be a bit more serviced or replaced. They are uncomfortable for adults. The racecourse isn't as big, though its standard I think. The score boards don't function anymore so you can't keep scores unless you keep going to the cashier's table, but the place gives the general thrill especially for races. Also its often not too crowded.
Waikao T — Google review
I like that the tracks are long, I enjoyed the ride itself, but the karts were old and the kits were dirty and worn out. They should invest in new karts and kits, and strive to maintain them better. The fees are high too compared to the services offered
Mazi L — Google review
It does live up to the adrenaline rush tag that it promises anyone who goes there. Who would have thought GP Karting would be such an exhilarating experience? Comes highly recommended for any thrill Seeker looking for something fun to do in Nairobi. Track may be a tad small or short, but the fun more than makes up for it. Plus there's good and drink available for when adrenaline burns all available calories.

The Hub Karen is a spacious and upscale shopping and entertainment complex located in the vibrant suburb of Karen in Nairobi. It offers a diverse range of retail outlets, from well-known international brands to local artisans, providing a distinctive shopping experience for fashion enthusiasts and bargain hunters. The complex also features an array of dining options, including cafes, restaurants, and food courts serving cuisines from around the world.
Walking into this mall feels like stepping from Africa into America. I would NOT recommend this place as a way to truly experience Kenya 😉, but it is a neat place to visit. Lots of restaurants and high-end shopping. On the weekends they do kid-focused activities like bounce houses etc.

We visited The Hub Park, and it was nothing short of amazing! There was so much to enjoy — from slides and trampolines to ziplines, cool climbing structures, and bouncy castles for the kids. It’s an ideal spot for children, but if you're looking for a quieter experience with fewer kids, consider visiting on a weekday. Pro tip: Don’t forget to carry a pair of socks — going in barefoot isn’t allowed. 100% recommended! Your inner child is guaranteed to come alive.

The Hub Karen is one of the nicest malls in Nairobi. It has a great mix of shops, restaurants, and family-friendly activities. The environment is clean, secure, and relaxing with good outdoor spaces. Parking is plenty, though it can get busy on weekends, so weekdays are more peaceful. Prices lean on the higher side compared to other malls, but the overall experience, ambience, and dining options make it worth it. A perfect spot for shopping, dining, or just hanging out with family and friends.

From the wide variety of restaurants and cafes to the many snack stations offering unique, tasty treats, everything feels lively and well thought out. You’ll find fun activities, great shopping spots, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for families, friends, or even solo visits. Definitely one of my favorite hangout spots in Karen!
Lucie A — Google review
The Hub is easily one of my favorite malls in Nairobi. It has a fantastic open-air design that makes it feel less crowded and more relaxed than many other shopping centers. There's a great selection of shops. For groceries, there's a massive Carrefour that has almost everything. For fashion and sportswear, you can find international brands like LC Waikiki, Adidas, and Puma. There are also great stores for home goods, electronics at stores like Game, and variety shops like Miniso. You can pretty much find whatever you're looking for. The dining options are also excellent. There's a wide range, from popular cafes like Artcaffe and Java House to fast food and fine dining restaurants. Many of them have outdoor seating around the central courtyard, which is lovely. It's very family-friendly with a dedicated play area for kids, and the whole place always feels clean and secure. Parking is ample and well-organized. Definitely recommend it for shopping, a meal, or just a relaxing afternoon. It can get busy on weekends, but the spacious layout handles the crowd well.

The hub Karen is a beautiful place. I love that the mall is not as fully packed with people, the utilities are very clean, the food court offers a variety of cuisines including Spanish, Mexican and Indian. It's overall a great mall to spend an afternoon at.

Nairobi Safari Walk is a captivating experience that offers a unique glimpse into Kenya's diverse wildlife. Managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service, this conservation-based facility features an elevated wooden boardwalk that takes visitors through three stages representing the country's major ecosystems. Along the way, you can observe a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, and rare species such as the white Rhino and Albino Zebra.
Nice place to be in nature and enjoy animals while walking safely. Staff are kind, animals are just adorable and lovely. It takes about 3 - 4 hours to see everything and spend time. Children and adults will enjoy it. Some animals are loose so be careful and follow the instructions.
Loujayne A — Google review
The walkways are newly built. Very good renovations done. They need more animals. The entrance need some order. Kenyans need to remember to carry their IDs (they accept soft).

Really enjoyed the safari walk here. You get to see many of the animals up close and the raised walkway is a great way to experience the place. Parts of the park are looking a little tired and run down but overall still a great place to visit.

I had fun here at Nairobi Safari walk was amazing. The glance at different kind of animals, plants and birds was satisfying. From hippotatomus, to cheetahs, lions, giraffes, zebra, water bucks, baboons, black and white monkeys, python, rhino, ostriches, gazelles etc. The side forest was so tranquil and amazing.

My mother in law visited and decided that instead of staying indoors, why not do something,. We found ourselves here.We really enjoyed the walk and the kids were really happy to see the animals. The place is safe and child friendly. There are professional instant photographers and my daughter enjoyed her Masai attire photoshoot. It was therapeutic 🤩🤩🤩.

After you clear with gate services, you got to view the nature's amazing deeds. A high raised walking area making visitors to have a Great view of the caged animals ranging from herbivorous up to carnivores and even birds. A river view helps meditate on yourself for a moment before you walk into the thick forest full of birds each with their own melodious songs. Infield benches where you can sit to enjoy nature view Convenient for team building

The staff were very friendly. We arrived early in the morning and there weren't many people, which made it feel very private. My son loved it. We even saw a giraffe walking along the walkway. The place is full of trees and very peaceful.

Very nice and calm place with a variety of animals. If you are from CBD it's better to take a matatu, ones that go to Rongai and just say safari walk. A cab is also not as expensive not more than 500. The place has lions, leopards, cheetahs and other game. Total entrance cost is 215 for one person paid through E-citizen. Make sure to carry and ID if you are a citizen. A nice place to reconnect with nature and also see some new animals.

Bomas of Kenya, situated in Nairobi, is an open-air museum that offers a captivating journey into the traditional cultures and customs of various Kenyan tribes. Visitors can witness authentic dances and songs performed by groups like the Maasai, Samburu, and Kikuyu, providing insight into the diverse lifestyle Kenya has to offer. The living museum showcases traditional villages representing different ethnic communities, allowing tourists to learn about their unique house construction and ways of life.
My visit to the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi was exceptional and unforgettable. The vibrant traditional dances, showcasing Kenya’s diverse cultures, were mesmerizing, with colorful costumes and rhythmic drumming that left me in a state of awe. I loved the reconstructed traditional homesteads that gave me a fascinating glimpse into the lifestyles of Kenya’s various ethnic groups. The attention to detail in architecture and cultural artifacts was impressive. All in all, my experience was both educational and enjoyable. This place is a must-visit for anyone wanting to connect with Kenya’s rich heritage!

Easily accessible by the Uber. We visited the traditional homesteads while waiting for the show to start at 2.30pm. 8 performances in 1.5h, and it was really interesting to see all type of dances. They gonna ask few visitors to join them dancing too, so if you just love dancing feel free to dance with them.

It's a very nice place especially when you are working with your family .teaches more about Kenyan tribes, culture and their tradition. Most of the time there's more spicy in traditional dance. Acrobat and other activities.

My visit to the Bomas of Kenya was an unforgettable journey into Kenya's rich culture and traditions! 🇰🇪 The performances by the talented dancers and singers were both entertaining and captivating, showcasing the diverse heritage of the country's communities. 💃🏽🎶 Exploring the traditional bomas (homesteads) gave me a deeper appreciation for the unique architectural styles and way of life of different Kenyan tribes. 🏠✨ The whole experience was incredible, and I loved every moment of it. A perfect blend of culture, history, and entertainment! 🌍❤️
Constant K — Google review
I was super sceptical about this because the dance show sounded so cringe. Anyway - we went to see the bomas park. You still need to pay Ksh 2,000 as a non-resident (it includes to dance as well), and can pay by card or cash (ecitizen not working). The bomas are open for walks from 10:00am to 5:00pm. You can see monkeys and warthogs. We went in the afternoon and it was super hot, but even with that we managed to spend a whole hour wandering around. I think the entry fee is too high for non-residents but at least the property is well looked after, so overall it was worth it. Definitely come for the bomas as well.
Paula Z — Google review
The biggest Tourist rip-off I faced in Kenya so far. The Original Place Where it should be is being constructed which is why they moved it to a parking lot. Set up a tent in which they show dances and sing. Once you Set a foot inside they force you to pay 2.000 Schilling. No explanation about culture and neither the chance to explore Kenyan tribes as stated online. Disappointing experience on all levels.
Nils L — Google review
Such an original and amazing experience !! You easily immerse yourself into the rich diversity of Kenya's culture. All the crew who represented it were incredible. There is also at the end, a representation of Kenya traditional homesteads with a dense greenery.

Hiking Trails
Ngong Hills is a popular destination for hikers and picnickers, offering stunning views of the surrounding valleys and city. Situated at the foothills of Ngong hills along Karen road in Nairobi, the Karen Blixen Museum was once the home of renowned author Karen Blixen, also known as Isak Dinesen.
An iconic feature and recreational park; here, you'll taste the awe of scenic nature in an unforgettable adventure. It just offers more at a location; from serene picnic grounds to long hiking trails. If you want to experience long zip lining, your satisfaction is guaranteed. What else? You can't imagine how large the windmills are till you're really sighting them. There's a need to tour again.
Sàm W — Google review
A moderate hike. Generally a good place to unwind as you catch the view of Kajiado county. If you have perfect eyesight, you can spot Nairobi town too. The views are magical. Highly recommend
Purity W — Google review
The hike was worth it. I have been to the hills previously but I have never completed the 7 hills. This time I went with that solo mission to start from Ngong and finish in Kiserian. It took me 2hr 45 minutes to complete. I thought it would be 4 hours. But 3rd and 4th hill is the one that will determine whether you give up or push on. Going up requires tact and patience otherwise you might end up giving in. Take your time. Rest when you feel your body calling for it. I think it helps if you are in group to psych each other up each hill. Big up to the young primary school pupils who zoomed past me as they did a walk to raise awareness for Dyslexia. People like taking photos at the 'Mezzanine' hill where Kengen has windmills. But at the top of Hill 7 the scene is super.
Laban W — Google review
Good trail and long distance between the 7 ngong hills. Carry water and put on gripping shoes since the grass is a bit slippery. Put on clothes that cover the whole body due to the presence of tsetse flies and scorching sun.
Bonface M — Google review
Google Review for Ngong Hills Visiting Ngong Hillswas an absolutely refreshing and memorable experience! This destination is perfect for anyone who loves nature, scenic views, and outdoor activities. The views are simply breathtaking rolling green hills stretching as far as the eye can see, with panoramic sights of the Great Rift Valley on one side and Nairobi city skyline on the other. If you enjoy photography, this place is a dream! The hiking trail is well-marked and offers a mix of gentle slopes and challenging climbs, making it suitable for both beginners and seasoned hikers. The cool breeze and fresh air make the hike enjoyable, and there are plenty of spots to take breaks and soak in the beauty. Security has improved, with guards along the trail, but I would still recommend going in a group for safety and extra fun. There are also wind turbines along the way, which add a unique touch to the landscape. A few tips: * Carry water and some snacks, as there are no shops along the trail. * Wear comfortable shoes and carry a light jacket—it can get windy and chilly at the top. * Go early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise and avoid the midday sun. The only downside is that there are limited facilities like washrooms and seating areas, but the natural beauty more than makes up for it. Overall, Ngong Hills is a must-visit for nature lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape close to Nairobi.
Rick A — Google review
Ngong Hills 🚌offers one of the most rewarding hiking experiences just outside Nairobi. 🧗The trail winds through rolling hills lined with wind turbines, offering a stunning blend of natural beauty and modern energy innovation. The panoramic views stretch as far as the Rift Valley on one side and Nairobi’s skyline on the other — a breathtaking reminder of Kenya’s diverse landscape.🌍 The hike itself is moderately challenging but incredibly fulfilling, especially with the cool breeze and the company of fellow adventurers. Having a few First Aid supplies & adequate water always comes in handy ⛑️🦺🧰Along the way, you’ll find plenty of photo-worthy spots and resting points where you can simply take in the serenity.📸🖼️ Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast, a nature lover, or just looking for a peaceful weekend getaway, Ngong Hills is the perfect destination.💯

A beautiful place to spend your time with friends and family... The hiking is refreshing and re-energizing... Problem is if you car has less clearance.. Climbing up the hill might be a challenge. They should do proper road for people to access the top of the hills.. They can't be charging 250 ksh per person then have a poor infructures. There are officers checking the ETR receipt at the main gate and up at Transformer side. Generally it is a good place and purely lovely. I highly recommend if you wanna get out of town and go relax... It is a good place.

The Elephant Nursery, located within Nairobi National Park, is a rescue and rehabilitation center for orphaned elephants. Established in 1977 by the Sheldrick Trust, it offers visitors the opportunity to witness young elephants being fed and nurtured. The trust, founded by David and Daphne Sheldrick, pioneers techniques for raising orphaned black rhinos and elephants before reintroducing them into the wild. Visitors can enjoy watching the elephants drink milk and eat while learning about their conservation efforts.
The Sheldrick trust looks after orphaned elephants. They are rescued from different parts of Kenya and brought in and given professional care and protection including medical care. The elephant babies seemed to be well looked after. One can feed the elephants and pet them too as they are very friendly. They also have two rhinos that are kept secure and taken care of. The organization seems to be very dedicated towards their goals and the people who work here do so with passion. You will need to book a visit through email at least 48 hours in advance and the visit is only from 11am to 12pm. Strongly recommended to visit if you are in Nairobi.
Zafar E — Google review
This is one of the most magical places I’ve ever visited (by far)!! The only recommendation I’ve give is to arrive early so you have a good view. It was amazing to learn about the critical work this wildlife trust is doing to save elephants from unfortunate situations. Even better, you can actually PET them if they come close enough which is a magical experience on its own.

One of the highlights in Nairobi is visiting this elephant orphanage. You can join a tour or book it online a few days ahead and get there by uber. Since this facility is located inside Nairobi National Park, you need to pay both national park fee and then this elephant orphanage fee. The elephant feeding show is only during 11 am and 12 noon.

Visiting the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was an amazing experience! Getting to see the baby elephants up close and learn about their rescue stories was truly unforgettable. It’s incredible how much care and love the team puts into protecting and rehabilitating these animals. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nairobi — it’s educational, heartwarming, and an absolute must-see right after Nairobi National Park.
Ed L — Google review
It was the best experience of my life. Being able to see small elephants and even pet some of them when they came to say “hi” was magical. The whole place is amazing and spectacular and I would recommend everyone to visit this place. It is open only for one hour daily and after feeding and observing elephants, you can go and adopt one or buy some gadgets to support this place.
Karolina — Google review
It’s a nice experience. The guy talking was very knowledgeable and knew every elephant by name and history. The wait to get in is unorganized and we had to pay an additional $147 to get into the park with the car which we thought was excessive (that’s not including the $20 per person to get into the elephant orphanage. To get in, you need to pre book online for the orphanage but also need to fill out a form to get into the park (which is mandatory) and if you haven’t done that beforehand, it could take a good 30 minutes to complete and pay for. The entry process is the only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5. It’s a shame because once inside, it was a definite 5 star.
Sameh W — Google review
Totally magical, one of the best things I've experienced. Once you're inside, you gather around the enclosure and the young elephants trot out into it, eagerly looking forward to.theor milk bottles. The drink them, some alone, some with help from their guardians. They then chew bark from branches, play with each other, roll in the mud and watch you. They get very close and you can even touch their rough skin. One of the main guardians gives information about each of the orphan elephants, what brought them to the Sheldrick Trust, and also some information about elephants in general. With the KWS park entrance fee, a visit isn't so cheap, but it's worth every penny.

The Karen Blixen Museum, located in Nairobi along Karen Road at the base of Ngong Hills, was once the home of the renowned author and coffee plantation owner. This 1920s farmhouse served as her residence from 1917 to 1931 and is now a museum showcasing original furnishings, photographs, and books that belonged to Karen Blixen and her husband.
Who hasn’t seen Out of Africa or read the book? If you’re in Niarobi looking for an interesting place to visit, then you just found it. The Biden house beautifully preserved with many original furnishings. You are given an escorted tour of the house and property with interesting description of history of the property. Watch the movie before you go to better appreciate the history of this once 6000 acre estate and coffee plantation!

The Karen Blixen Museum is charming but a bit limited. You can’t take photos inside the house, and there’s very little to read on your own, so you mostly depend on the guide. On the plus side, the guide is very friendly, the house is beautifully preserved, and enjoying a cup of coffee during the visit was definitely the highlight.

Well maintained museum and friendly staff. At the entrance you will be appointed a guide who will show you around. We did not feel rushed - the guide took it gentle and adjusted to our pace. The history behind Karen Blixen and the story of the house is explained. Recommendation: do take the nature walk! It’s beautiful.
Jeroen O — Google review
Museum was good in that you get to see Karen's house and understand her impact on the community. Our assigned guide was a young lady and she was very, very quiet so it was difficult to hear her.
Dani — Google review
The ban on photography inside the museum is quite unfortunate. This is because we can connect with the essence of the artifacts, transcending time and space. If the original creators were still alive, they would likely not want their works to be merely displayed for visitors to observe or exploited for profit. Of course, there are valid concerns about potential damage or contamination of the artifacts through photography. However, the relics in this museum are exhibits that are not susceptible to such issues. The dead are revived in the memories of the living. That is the true power of culture.

The Kenya Railway Museum, established in 1971, showcases a collection of locomotives, coaches, and a mini railroad. Located in Nairobi, the museum is one of the city's notable tourist attractions. The museum's exhibits highlight the historical significance of the Uganda Railway in shaping Nairobi and Kenya as a whole. This railway played a pivotal role in transforming Nairobi from a modest camp for railway employees to becoming the capital of British East Africa by 1907.
I went there purposely for the Jacaranda trees 😁 Around the trains it was quite busy on a Sunday. I’m still planning 1-2 more visits to at least pop into each train…climb to the top of them. It’s a cool place to just hang out for 2-4hrs. Carry some drinks (and snacks).

We visited in late October and caught the last purple flowers on the row of mature jacaranda trees that line the road to the station. The Kenya Railway Museum in Nairobi is like stepping into a time machine… but with more steam and fewer DeLoreans. Tucked in the heart of the city near Nairobi’s CBD, this museum showcases the glory days of Kenya’s railway system, from old steam engines to vintage carriages. It’s a treat for history buffs, train enthusiasts, and anyone who secretly dreams of shouting “All aboard!” The exhibits are well-maintained, with a fascinating collection of locomotives, railway memorabilia, and informative displays about the Kenya-Uganda railway line. Kids will love climbing into old carriages, while adults will enjoy snapping photos that make their Instagram followers think they just time-traveled. The museum is very walkable, has decent parking, and is safe for families. Nearby, you can grab a bite at local eateries or explore Nairobi’s CBD after your railway adventure. A perfect spot to blend history, photography, and a little nostalgia for the golden age of rail travel in Kenya.

Excellent natural space. Very well maintained. Very fresh and clean air. So many different routes. One can come here multiple times and still take their due time to figure out the geography. You might find a new path every time you visit. So many tall trees. Also a good place to go jogging or running! For foreigners, the entry is a little expensive - 716 KSH. But it's worth it if you like nature. In today's world, where everyone has mobile - I found it absurd for them to charge money if you have a bigger camera. The camera entry cost was 1322 KSH, so I asked them to store it till the time I came back. The park official was very kind and he waited for me to come back to return my camera even though his shift has finished quite some time ago. Amazing place.

We paid for the joint museum and snake park tickets. There are many snakes, fish, a couple of very still crocodiles and an alligator, turtles, chameleons, bunnies and tortoises. The tanks/enclosures seem small and many had fake plants which felt sad. It seems like the place is in need of a refresh! We had a friendly guide show us round (make sure to tip) but I would say it's not necessary; they don't add much more information than the signs and they speed through.

The Oloolua Nature Trail is a 5-kilometer scenic trail located in the Oloolua forest, a dry indigenous tropical forest near Nairobi. The trail features a cave, picnic sites, campsites, and a beautiful waterfall along the Mbagathi River. It's a popular spot for picnics with bamboo rest points offering benches to relax and take in the stunning landscape.
A perfect nature spot.Ideal for nature walks and biking. The only challenge I had was the paying part.I had paid via ecitizen under the National Museum but at the correct way is to pay under KIPRE.Other than that I enjoyed, don't be afraid to go solo the trail is safe.
Eunice W — Google review
The walk was exceptional however the payment system didn’t work for visitors. After 45 minutes we had to pay a local visitor cash to pay for us using their system. Whilst incredibly frustrating, still glad we visited because the walk was lovely and it was very well preserved.

Looking for a place to recharge? This is the perfect place. Some few things to note: 1. I highly recommend buying tickets in advance 2. If you wanna buy at the gate, ensure you have sufficient amount in your account as cash payment is not accepted. 3. Plan your transport in advance, there's no local matatus nearby. 4. Carry a meal if you're planning to spend a whole day there as only snacks are available inside ie. Smokies, eggs, fruit juice and some fruits.

Not the best when it's not raining the waterfall is not at its peak.. otherwise great views nice hiking and biking environment, I would definitely recommend

#1 tip: Prepay tickets on Ecitizen website and/or have Mpesa. Didn't not know this and had a hassle to gain entry. #2 tip: Lots of trails, hire a guide for most direct route. We explored ourselves and walked in circles a bit. Ended up ~5K in 1.5 hrs , but there is a 10K option. Luckily, locals walking through were helpful to find exit. #3 tip: Enjoy. The fresh air and green space is a top priority for me. I am used to a lot of outdoor activity, hiking and walks in natural settings. This a true gem and reprieve of the urban jungle of concrete Nairobi. Did this after the Giraffe Center and Karen Blixen Museum.

Nature & Parks
Located in Nairobi, Uhuru Park is a spacious and popular city park that offers various spaces for public gatherings. It features beautiful gardens, an artificial lake, and national monuments such as the Nyayo monument. Visitors can enjoy activities like boat riding, camel riding, picnics, and children's play areas. The park also provides great views of the city skyline and a tranquil environment for relaxation. Although it was closed for renovations, it has now reopened with a refreshed look.
I finally got to visit the newly renovated Uhuru Park, and wow, it’s such a beautiful upgrade! The design is modern, clean, and super inviting. Entry is free, and you can really see the effort that’s gone into maintaining the space. The ambience is cool and relaxing, with plenty of comfortable sitting areas and open spaces to just breathe and enjoy the outdoors. I especially loved how kid-friendly it is now, definitely a perfect spot for families. Whether you’re looking to chill, take a walk, or just enjoy some fresh air in the city, Uhuru Park is totally worth the visit.
Liza A — Google review
Came here on a weekday and it was very nice. They did ask for passports at the entrance. Overall it’s a nice park to relax in the middle of the city. Felt very safe overall as a foreigner.
Ricardo A — Google review
Nice park. Lots of space to have picnic or sit by yourself. There’s an amusement park and botanical garden as well as historical landmarks like the Mau Mau settlement monument. There’s food and drinks on sale and lots of games to add color to your day. It’s spacious enough to be quiet even though there are many people there. Recommended for personal or family and group days out
Oluwatoyin A — Google review
The newly renovated Uhuru Park is lush, green and serene. I especially visit on Sundays after church because of the kid fun activities there including bouncing castles, swings, boat rides, camel and horse rides, etc. The area is maintained by security forces and has tracks from walking or running! The waterfalls are not maintained though and could be better if regularly drained and maintained
Ruth O — Google review
The renovations at Uhuru Park have made it more appealing and safer for the public, and that effort is appreciated. My main request is consistency: clearer communication on entry rules, better maintenance of newly installed features, and ensuring vendors or commercial activities don’t crowd out open green areas. If these parts are addressed, the park will function much better for everyone, not just in the short term but in the long run.
Client A — Google review
Quiet and beautiful park. A place to sit undisturbed and admire the views of the city around.
Joseph C — Google review
Uhuru Park is like Nairobi’s living room. Everyone’s been here at least once — from lovebirds on boat rides, to students revising under trees, to preachers with megaphones, to politicians pulling mega rallies. 🗣️🎤 The park stretches right next to the CBD along Uhuru Highway and borders Kenyatta Avenue, Parliament Road, and Community area. Major landmarks around it include the Nairobi Serena Hotel, Parliament Buildings, Kenyatta Avenue Uhuru Monument, and not too far off — the iconic KICC rooftop stares right at it. 🏢 Inside, you’ll find: 🚤 Man-made lake – where you can rent a boat and live your Titanic fantasy (minus the iceberg). 🌳 Shady gardens – perfect for picnics, chilled dates, or just escaping Nairobi matatu noise. ⛪ Freedom Corner – the legendary protest & activism spot that shaped Kenya’s democracy. 🎠 Play zones – kids running wild, ice cream vendors chasing sales, and photographers chasing perfect shots. It’s free, it’s green, and it’s where Nairobians go when they want to slow down the city’s fast pace. If CBD feels like caffeine, Uhuru Park is chamomile tea. ☕🌿

It features the only ice skating rink in Nairobi, making it an exciting place to visit with friends and family. The center boasts a variety of stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities, including a photo booth for creating lasting memories. Additionally, visitors can explore the 'House of Leather' gift shop and enjoy diverse dining experiences at restaurants like Fogo Gaucho.

I went in to watch a movie at Anga which was good except for the two blackouts we had. I was rather disappointed by the bar on the 3rd Floor, the cocktails were unnecessarily watered down... Martinis don't come on the rocks

I was here training international participants who were curious about the solar-powered ice rink. I got permission from management to allow my participants to have look at the rink and they gladly allowed us to do so. This was an international ISCS training on HR Metrics. Kudos, management for granting us the opportunity to show off what Kenya has to offer.

It had good restaurants with good food. The ice skating rink was amazing. It also has a movie theatre.
Anne W — Google review
I had such a fun time at Panari! The ice rink is definitely the highlight, it’s such a unique experience in Nairobi and really well maintained. What I loved most is that professionals are right there to guide and help if you don’t know how to skate, so even beginners can enjoy without feeling left out. After skating, my friend and I stopped by the Golden Café for a meal. The atmosphere was cozy, service was great, and the food was flavorful and fresh ,a perfect way to relax after all the activity. Panari makes for a really nice spot to spend the day, combining fun, support for learners, and good food all in one place. Definitely worth recommending!
Agnes B — Google review
Over the years Panari has kept its prestigious prominence as one of the upscale places to visit with lots of great stuff to do. MOst famous of them all is the ice skating, which to my knowledge is, or could be the only one in Nairobi. Well, this time I went to sample some meat extravaganza at the Fogo Gaucho, after visiting their other branches in Westlands. Safe to say I got exactly what I needed, and Ishmael who attended our table was quite verse and on point throughout the evening. There's more to Panari Sky of course, as mentioned the Ice Skating for kids and adults alike, Imax Anga, Spa, Lounges, Bar, Chinese Restaurant, pretty sure there's something you can do around here. Parking and security was no hassle, and we use the other exit to get back to Mombasa road. Will definitely explore other floors the next time I'm here and provide an update if need be.

Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, is a diverse and romantic city that offers a plethora of attractions for tourists. One such place worth visiting is Paradise Lost, located on the outskirts of Nairobi in Kiambu. This serene oasis boasts one of the largest man-made lakes with cascading waterfalls and provides an escape from the city's bustling life. Visitors can explore anti-colonial caves that once sheltered Mau Mau fighters, adding a historical dimension to their experience.
Nice recreational facility place. Good for family outing, boat riding and waterfalls view including the hiking and the caves view.

It's a nice place with many activities BUT could be much better if it was forbidden to put music on. Unfortunately people come with music boxes and/or their cars an play really loud music with no regards to other customers who paid the same price to be here and just wanted to have a nice family time and chill from the city chaos.
B — Google review
Plan yourself accordingly in terms of cash if you are to enjoy yourself in this place. Entrance is 530 for adults and that can be considered quit high for people like me. If you have to participate in other activities apart from walking and sitting you have to pay. Caves and waterfalls visit is 530/=. Come prepared.
WINNIE M — Google review
Amazing experience! I visited the Stone Age Mau Mau caves, which are right behind the waterfall. The scenery is tranquil and suitable for holding events if given permission to. The picnic areas are accessible for all and have ready dustbins nearby for convenience. The washrooms are clean as well and has readily available water. As for the multiple activities here, one can host a trip, go boat riding, do zip lining and horse riding. All at an affordable price. 8/10. Would love to return here soon. Though if you want to go to the caves, please wear proper sports shoes 😅
Bevicked — Google review
Loved this place because there is plenty to do. It's a great place for picnics, events with friends and a hangout with family. They have archery, quad biking, house riding, camel riding, boat riding, nature trails, zip lining and visit our caves. You can't miss am activity to tickle your fancy. The process are standard so you can go prepared. The views are really beautiful. It had plenty of chill spot and restrooms around the fields. It was quite easy to get an inner from the place as well. It also has slides and trampoline for kids. If you'd like a solo adventure or a solo picnic, I definitely recommend. You can also camp at the site and security is available.

Nice picnic area with activities such as boat riding, horse riding, archery, zip lining and you can also feed the ostriches. Very serene area, if you like to connect with nature this is a great spot. They charge an entrance fee for your vehicle, kids and adults, the activities are also charged separately.Watch out for the hawks that are notorious for grabbing food.

It’s a cool place to relax near Nairobi and in the midst of nature. It has a variety of activities to engage in (boat riding, horse riding, archery, visiting the mau mau caves among others). Very many divers places to sit and relax. For those who do transcription, it’s a quiet spot for the job. I didn’t see a ramp though so not sure if it’s wheelchair friendly. Overall it’s pretty cool place.

Loved the place, very calm and just brought me back to nature. Really good site for a picnic or family day out but you pay at the gate ksh 300 for adults and children 200 plus car entrance as well, then you have to pay more to see caves and waterfalls as well but the Boat riding was however fun.

We visited Mamba Crocodile Village in Nairobi and had a fantastic time—definitely a hidden gem! We bought our tickets at the entrance with no hassle, and a friendly staff member guided us around, giving us an up-close look at the crocodiles and even the ostriches. It’s a very underrated spot that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. While the property could use a bit of upgrading, the experience itself was memorable and well worth it. I’d highly recommend it to anyone in Nairobi with an hour or two to spare—great for families or anyone looking for something a bit different.

Jazanda E — Google review
Wild, weird, and unexpectedly heartwarming The best part? When the little tortoise popped out and raced toward me. I swear, it was like a slow-motion hug from nature. Moments like that just reaffirm your love for animals—you feel chosen. Like they somehow know you're one of the good ones. Then came the crocodile. Silent. Calculated. It moved toward me with stealth straight out of a wildlife documentary. I acted like I hadn’t noticed… but trust me, my heart was doing cartwheels. It was giving predator and prey—and I was the prey. For a second, I felt completely vulnerable, like a snack-sized visitor in its living room. Oddly enough, I loved the scare. I stayed on high alert the whole time—throwing glances here and there just in case an escapee was lurking. It felt like an extreme sport, but with sunbathing reptiles. That said, most of the animals were just vibing in the late morning sun, totally unbothered. Minding their business like retirees at a resort. Would I go again? Absolutely. But next time, I’m bringing a scaredy-cat friend—because what’s a little thrill without someone screaming beside you? Best part was when i paid local tour prices, who knew being Kenyan had its perks :)

Had an amazing time here. The pricing is fair for the experience you get, and it’s definitely an activity that calls for some physical endurance, which makes it even more fun. I was also impressed by the number of lifeguards on standby; you really feel safe throughout. If you want to enjoy the place without the crowds, the best time to visit is on a weekday when it’s not busy. A great spot for both kids and adults looking for an active day out! Highly recommend.

Going by my 10 year-old niece's unbridled joy today, a 5-star rating is well-deserved! As the adult checking a minor into the water park, I was pleased about their intake process - it's detailed yet speedy and efficient: registration, getting gear, safety briefing and entry. Children play in the water park under the watch of plenty of lifeguards. It's quite pricey at KSh.2000/- for 2 hours (they're flexible with extra time when it's not busy), but after the 2 hours, the child was tired, happy and ready for lunch. So it's a great treat.

If you're in Nairobi, don't miss the chance to visit Kazuri Beads Factory located in Mbagathi Ridge, Karen. This unique site offers a free tour where you can witness local women, including single mothers and disabled individuals, handcrafting beautiful bead jewelry and ceramics from scratch. The name "Kazuri" means small and beautiful in Swahili, reflecting the shiny and brightly colored beads showcased at the factory.
Founded in 1975, Kazuri started as a small initiative to help single mothers in Nairobi gain employment. Today, it supports over 300 women artisans and is a certified Fair Trade producer, shipping jewellery and pottery all over the world. Excellent place to buy genuine beads, pottery items. Prices are in US dollars usually and credit cards are accepted. There is a 30 min tour of the factory and then the showroom where you can buy. Profits go towards to helping single mothers here
S V — Google review
The concept of a bead workshop to help single mothers is great. Not sure how it went from this concept to a place that charges an arm and a leg with a less than enthused guide in Karen, a posh area of Nairobi. I guess it’s one way to nonprofit-wash a business and exploit the locals. New location is in a fancy office park.
Jessica C — Google review
Very good range of bead work but has become very costly in the recent years. Tough for a lady to enter and come out empty handed. The color combinations are very unique and varied - earrings, necklace. There is a low value range also but the shine amd brightness of colors is amazing in the higher price range. The showroom is well stocked - should have bulk buy discounts 😜😉

We took our PP1 class. The amenities were really good. The children and the teachers really had a lot of fun. The food let us down but it is catered from outside. I was assured that they are looking into new caterers. Overall a 4.5/5

A small place for kids to play, quite expensive @1500 per kid and one parent with 200 per additional parent. Does not have a variety of playing this in this entry ticket price, trampoline and soft play is included , rope course is additional 400 with vr and playstation 5 at 500 for 30 mins. Though they offer full day ticket but usually it wil cost you around 3000 4000 per child if you want to let them try all the things This place does not have wifi and the inhouse canteen is quite expensive as well

I've been meaning to come to this place for over a year now, and when I finally did, it was worth the wait. I specifically came here for the Bowling side, which has to be said it, is quite modern and so much fun, for quite the fun, you can have a little back and forth competition with your buddies. Proper Covid-19 protocol has been set up to ensure your safety. At the time I was there, the charges were about $5 per person, with no time limit. There is sufficient room to hang out if you so wish, plenty of sitting area and quite a number of pool tables. And also, you can challenge yourself with the prominent sports murals painted on the wall, out of 13, I was able to name at least 11 personalities, which I think is an achievement, I do know my sports. Located within Next Gen mall, you can have a great time for kids in the children section and good food at the Food Court.

This is a beautiful indoor amusement parks for children that’s quite affordable, it costs around $10 per kid and they get to access all the games inside apart from the VR experience that would cost an extra $3. They also have bowling that both kids and adults can enjoy at $5 per person per session. Security is quite uptight which is very recommendable because of the kids, definitely going back.
Quinter O — Google review
Great place for kids to have fun. Charges are 1000 per kid. They also have VR which is charged separately. There are varieties of games: trampoline, "rock" climbing, slide, Lego, clay. Remember to carry a pair of socks or you'll buy at the entrance if you don't have.

Nicely done play area for kids, featuring a mini rock wall, trampolines, climbing nets, slides, Lego, the works. Attendants always on hand, and safety measures are all in place. Great place for your kid to burn off some energy while you attend to shopping.

Talisman Restaurant, located in Nairobi, is a popular spot known for its delightful dining experiences. The restaurant boasts a charming outdoor area adorned with Swahili-style decor, creating a laid-back ambiance for gatherings with loved ones. Their diverse menu offers an array of dishes, from sumptuous breakfast options like pancakes and eggs prepared in various ways to delectable salads and flavorful entrees.
Best feta cheese samosas! Burger was okay, not the best because the bread became too soggy too fast. But overall great vibes, decor, and service! Will definitely visit again on my next trip! Perfect meal before heading to the airport!

We had an outstanding dining experience at The Talisman Restaurant. Our group of eight was extremely well looked after — the service was exceptional from start to finish. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with every dish full of flavour and attention to detail. The ambience was elegant and welcoming, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed evening. A special mention for the secure parking, which made the visit even more convenient. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful and delicious! They also let us stay late to chat and take photos. It is huge and open air, with a lovely safari/desert chic decor with lots of cozy nooks. Bring a sweater in case the night is chilly. We were there in late October.

Talisman in Nairobi is a gem — warm ambience with a cozy fire and pet-friendly charm. The spinach & feta samosas were crisp and delicious, the farm-to-table salad fresh and vibrant, and the chicken in lemon zest and mushroom sauce with a whiskey savour was perfectly balanced and flavorful. Great food, great service, and such a welcoming atmosphere.

Zen Garden, located in the serene Kabete area of Nairobi, Kenya, is a renowned fine-dining establishment offering exquisite Pan-Asian cuisine in an elegant setting. The restaurant's tranquil atmosphere reflects the peaceful ambience of its surrounding garden. With a lush 2 1/2 acre property in Nairobi's Spring Valley neighborhood, Zen Garden provides an authentic Asian experience amidst colorful landscapes.
First time visiting and I enjoyed everything Ambience, Service and Food. We had a good time and shared some appetizers for the start Tempura Prawns and Dumplings with some awesome dipping sauces. For 3 people we shared 2 main courses and had still plenty of food left. Great portions. Tried the sweet sour pork and some Sichuan chicken with plenty of rice and some vegetables. Overalls great spot to have some nice food.

The place is good but it feels like it has the potential for much more than what it is now. The prices are high compared to the value i think

Zen garden is one of my favourite restaurants! It’s been me and my family’s go to place for years and the quality of food, drinks and service just keep getting better with each passing year and visit! We always order dumplings, the prawns tempura and wonton to start with. The sushi is to die for and so is their chilli pork with fried rice (they have a variety) or noodles. The atmosphere is great, relaxed and perfect for a weekend afternoon catch up with family or friends. It’s kid friendly too with a playground for the little ones. For dessert do try what they have as they’ve got that right from gelato to different types of cakes for all tastebuds. In short the food and drinks are pure delight for the tastebuds!

Lovely place surrounded by greenery, perfect for a relaxing meal. The kids' play area with slides is a nice addition. The food was great, especially the dim sums. Thr chef was kind enough to prepare dishes for us without egg. Service was a bit slow, probably because it was busy but worth waiting. The tiramisu was too good. It’d be nice to have more eggless dessert options.
Raman S — Google review
A very good restaurant! We started with a pot of masala chai, as we arrived before lunch service had begun. The chai was very good, classic indian style. We then had a variety of starters, and would recommend the dan dan chicken, the prawn toast! The portion sizes were also very big, and we couldn't finish everything! Them milkshake was good, but nothing extraordinary. We axtually came back a second time and had some cocktails, which were good. However then we ordered a pot of chai and they just forgot about it. It was around 4pm and we were one of only three tables.
Krishan J — Google review
The restaurant is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner, offering a nice atmosphere and good potential. However, a few things could be improved. There’s no dessert menu — guests have to walk over to the display to make their choice. I ordered the tiramisu, which was quite basic and didn’t meet the expected standard. Service could also be more attentive; the waiters didn’t check in after serving, and there was no hostess to guide guests upon arrival, which made the experience feel a bit disorganized.I wouldn’t recommend going there for coffee or dessert.
Carol W — Google review
Great food, great ambience & very fast service. Our waiter, Daniel was super sweet, professional & patient. God bless that young waiter. I would 100% recommend Zen Garden to anyone.

Zen Garden is such a beautiful place to chill, especially on a Sunday afternoon... They serve different kinds of food, and the waiter's there are so professional and so helpful to help you order something you like ..the ambience is also so calm ,the place can be good for a date , family meet ups , girls hangout etc ..they have parking inside and a beautiful garden where you can take picture...... Nestled within the stunning Nairobi National Park, the Nairobi Animal Orphanage serves as a vital rehabilitation center for exotic mammals and birds. Established in 1964, this facility is dedicated to nurturing young animals rescued from traumatic situations, often due to poaching. Visitors can enjoy guided tours that provide insight into the compassionate care these animals receive as they recover and prepare for potential reintroduction into the wild.
The Nairobi Animal Orphanage is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience Kenya’s wildlife up close. Located right next to Nairobi National Park, it’s home to rescued and rehabilitated animals including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, monkeys, and a variety of birds. What makes it stand out is how close you can get to the animals while learning their stories and the conservation efforts behind them. The moment I walked in, I could hear the calls of different birds and the distant roar of a lion — it immediately felt like I had stepped into a sanctuary full of life. I also remember standing quietly by the lion enclosure when they were being fed. It’s spine-chilling. The orphanage is well-kept, affordable, and easy to access, making it perfect for tourists, families, and school groups alike. It’s not just about seeing animals — it’s about understanding the importance of protecting them. A short visit leaves you with both unforgettable sights and a deeper appreciation for Kenya’s conservation work. If you ever find yourself in Nairobi, take a couple of hours to visit the Animal Orphanage. It’s more than just a stop - it’s an experience that stays with you!

If you’re looking for a unique wildlife experience in Nairobi, the Nairobi Animal Orphanage is a great place to visit. Located inside Nairobi National Park, it’s home to rescued animals like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, monkeys, and rare birds. I loved how close you can get to the animals. It’s perfect for photography and learning about Kenya’s wildlife. Each animal has a story, and the staff are friendly and informative. The orphanage is affordable for both locals and tourists, and it’s ideal for a short day trip in Nairobi. I recommend going in the morning or late afternoon when it’s cooler and the animals are more active. If you’re a content creator or wildlife enthusiast, this is a must-see spot in Nairobi! 📍 Great for: • Nature lovers • Solo travelers • Families with kids • Local and international tourists • Content creators and photographers 💡 Travel tip: Combine your visit with the nearby Safari Walk or a Nairobi National Park tour for the full experience. ⭐ Overall rating: 4/5 📸 Don’t forget your camera! Bring one or a phone with good zoom for better animal shots 💵Entrance fees indicated in one of the photos.

If you go for a game drive in Nairobi National Park, make sure to stop by the animal orphanage! You will see more animals inside; they are usually kept there when they need more care than they can receive in the park itself.

I visited the Nairobi Animal Orphanage after booking with Bagheera Tours & Safaris Ltd, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The orphanage is beautifully run and full of rescued animals receiving real care and rehabilitation. Seeing lions, cheetahs, monkeys and others up close - each with their own rescue story - was emotional and inspiring. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about conservation, which makes the visit even more meaningful. Highly recommended for families, tourists and wildlife lovers.

National forest
Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary is a hidden gem just outside Nairobi, offering an enchanting escape into nature. This urban forest reserve boasts a diverse ecosystem that caters to bikers, walkers, and nature enthusiasts alike. With trails ranging from 5k to 21k, it’s perfect for cycling or leisurely strolls while soaking in the fresh air and stunning views. The sanctuary features serene picnic spots near natural ponds and even horse riding trails for those looking to explore further.
A large forest area right in Nairobi. A great place for walks, jogging and bike rides. We visited it on a Saturday afternoon and were very pleased with the experience. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from Ngong Road. You'll arrive at the main gate with a security checkpoint. Here, you can pay the entrance fee: 100 shillings for citizens, 300 for foreigners. There are two trails for individual walks: 3 km and 5 km. If you want to go on a longer walk of 10 km or 21 km, you’ll need to be accompanied by rangers. The park is large, and it's easy to get lost. We rented bicycles, which cost 500 shillings per person for 2 hours. We chose the 5-kilometer trail. It runs through hills, so if you're not a well-trained athlete, you’ll get tired. It's a great physical workout! The trail is well-maintained, with overgrown trees cleared from the path. Rangers patrol the park on bicycles. Sometimes you encounter other visitors walking, biking, or walking their dogs. We felt safe. Along the way, we saw many signs and markers. According to the signs, horseback riding is also available here. There’s a nearby shooting range, so sometimes the silence is broken by gunshots. Don’t be alarmed. You can hear many birds in the forest, and there are plenty of butterflies flying around. There are larger animals in the park, but we didn’t see any. To spot monkeys or antelopes, you need to walk quietly, not ride old, squeaky bikes. Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water! You won’t find any in the forest.

Serenity in the middle of Nairobi. Birders paradise with a mix of indigenous and exotic trees. Most of the forest is fenced and patrolled. Around mid-2024, there have been some violent security incidences along the Southern bypass on.bikers and hikers.

Village Bowl is an 11-lane bowling alley situated in Village Market Gigiri, offering a competitive indoor sport for families and friends to enjoy. The venue provides a fun experience for first-time bowlers with helpful staff guiding through the game. Additionally, it's a great place to relax and play, especially on Thursdays when they offer special rates. The facility also offers meals and drinks while playing.
The best bowling arena in Nairobi. ✨️ Service ✨️ The service at Village Bowl was one of a kind. We visited on a holiday (17th June) and it was not packed. There was ample space to play and the people at the reception were extremely kind and patient. You can select the name you wish to be displayed at the scoreboard which I found fun. In case you get stuck, the management is always ready to help. I would advise first time players to play with the rails, it helps. 📍Location📍 Village Bowl is located at a convenient place and in case you get hungry, there are multiple restaurants you can buy food from. The establishment also serves food, you can enquire at the reception. 💐 Overall Experience 💐 It was a fun-filled day for my loved ones and I. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Village Bowl for those who are looking to unwind and just want to have a good time. When in doubt, seek clarification from the Bowling Alley Attendant. I had my kids birthday here and would not recommend it. Their kit is NOT suitable for children, much too big, the overalls are full of holes, the elastic on the helmet is so loose the helmets drop down, the ppe is so old it hangs loose and offers no protection. During the party 1 child was shot on the forehead head while watching from behind the fence. (Fence had a huge hole) and another kid had a massive bruise where a bullet hit the skin through a hole in the PPE. Invest in some equipment paintfury!

Nestled in the vibrant Westlands area, Jenga Jungle Restaurant is a trendy pizza haven that perfectly blends a lively atmosphere with an urban flair. With stunning city views and a cozy design featuring an open kitchen and bustling bar, it’s an ideal spot for both casual outings and special nights out. Our experience at the restaurant was generally positive, with commendable aspects such as good food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The quality of the food was impressive, with well-prepared dishes that satisfied our taste buds. Additionally, the service we received from the staff was excellent, as they were attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout our dining experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also appealing, providing a comfortable and enjoyable environment for dining and socializing. However, the limited food menu may not cater to all tastes and preferences, potentially limiting options for some diners. Additionally, while the food exceeded expectations, the dessert menu could be enhanced to offer a more diverse and enticing selection of sweet treats. Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, I always have a pleasant experience and would recommend it to other

Subpar cocktails! Marketed as quality over quantity but lacking in both. The food is mediocre at best, considering the price. The lamb was tough and very salty, 1.5 /10. Forget about the quesadillas, they’re a scam! The mash and mukimo, same but different. The waitress, Michelle was very honest and pleasant. I could go on and on…Unfortunately at the end even after we aired our concerns no service recovery was offered. Just a sad sorry. For the positive, if you after the views then you got it, 10/10. Overall 2/10. I would not recommend.

Nice little joint. The vibes are excellent, the views incredible. They have low music and you can have a chat making it an excellent location for a girls' hangout or date night. The servers were only two, and were busy as the place was full, but they did their best to make sure we got all our orders without waiting too long. The pizzas and juices were excellent. Will be back for the cocktails.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. No need for a reservation because it's not followed (Perhaps because the place is never filled). The service is average. The waiters are available and willing to offer any assistance (In order to wash your hands before meals, you use the toilets. You better have some wipes!). The pizza - spicy bbq chicken - wasn't that good honestly. The chicken wings was just average. The cocktails are however strong, so that can be a plus. The high seats (most available)are made of glass particles - interesting but uncomfortable especially when it gets cold. Otherwise, it's a good place to chill and enjoy the sunset.

Great place with amazing city views, the vibe is great. There are offer throughout the week, the food is decent. We had the vegetarian pizzas, cheesy garlic bread, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Although the mozzarella sticks are not worth the price. Other than that the pricing is decent. The service is excellent, very friendly and fun waiters. There was a live band when we went, a bit too loud. Also, boardgames and Jenga is available for a fun time at no extra cost. Overall, good food, great place for a casual date or with a group of friends/work colleagues and great service.

Went on a Thursday, there was jazz night which was a nice touch. Happy hour from 12 noon to 8pm. The pizza was too spicy for my liking and the cocktails weren’t strong enough. I’d recommend going with a group of friends based on the seating arrangements. It’s a small space and may not offer enough privacy for date night.

Under The Sea is a vibrant and engaging indoor playground located in East Africa, offering a safe and exciting play area for children. With a well-designed facility featuring various games and activities, it's an ideal spot for toddlers, preschoolers, and young-at-heart visitors to enjoy play dates, themed parties, or school trips. While supervision is necessary for smaller children, the venue provides ample entertainment for kids aged 6 months to 12 years.
Well designed facility with lots of games and activities for kids and those young at heart. Safety has been well looked into, for smaller children supervision is still required by the parent/guardian. It can be busy during public holidays and weekends. Entry fees grants access to almost all activities here. Carry socks for all entering the facility or else you have to purchase some @Ksh 250 ($2). They don’t look like they have enough staff in charge at the facility itself so keep an eye on your child. Entry fees - Kids KES 1,000 ($8.1) Snacks(popcorn and crisps (chips, candy and sodas also available at a fee.

I went with my one year old, he had fun BUT big kids are running everywhere and it’s a big dangerous for young ones. Also VERY DIRTY! I saw a lot of dust everywhere. The music is way too loud for kids. This place could be great with some work.

This place can comfortably compete with indoor games in the West for two reasons: the good helpful employees and the clown they had on the day we went to check it out for the first time. I give it a 3 star though due to their disrespectful and rude “manager of this establishment” Ms. Shilpa Shah. In my view, she did not demonstrate good customer service etiquette when she approached me rudely because I was looking through a box of crayons and paper to see what they had for my 3 year old to get creative. Wow. I was disappointed to say the least. Still, good place for kids the next time you are visiting at village market!

This is a good place to take a child of less than ten years of age. The place has several options and it would be advisable to supervise your children since there barely seemed to be any one minding the place. The ambiance is good and one can also catch up on a newspaper while on the nice lawns.

Restaurant
The Carnivore Restaurant is a must-visit dining destination located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. Situated near the Nairobi National Park, this open-air meat specialty restaurant offers a unique and lively dining experience. Guests can indulge in a variety of meats including beef, goat, chicken, as well as more exotic options like crocodile and ostrich. The all-you-can-eat experience allows diners to feast until they lower a flag on their table to signal that they've had their fill.
Amazing experience. Great service, food and atmosphere. Meats were cooked perfectly, staff were very friendly and made good recommendations. Ignore negative reviews about waiting times, we went at 7pm on a Saturday. There was several birthday gatherings and we were served in the perfect amount of time. Plenty of staff who walk by frequently with a variety of meets. Highly recommend

What an experience!! Yes, try to go hungry as there will be plenty of interesting options to choose from. Indeed, the selection of wild meat is not big (we had 2 the night we went). Service was good and quick, always paying attention. We waited a bit for a table (as we didn’t have reservation), but as soon as one freed up, we were carefully attended.
Oana M — Google review
Very unique experience! Atmosphere is lively. Fire pit is quite impressive! We ate everything on the menu except for the spicy lamb sausages. Food was delicious and different from what we’re accustomed to in Canada. Meats offered were standard fair except for the ostrich meat and ox balls. Let bed the ostrich meat but not crazy about the ox balls ! Our waiter Alvin and host George were great! Best advice they gave… try everything and eat as much as you can! When you’re done you can drop the flag in surrender! 🤣

It's no wonder they've been voted among the top 50 restaurants in the world so often! Meats are fresh off the grill. Service is professional. They don't hurry you one bit. They never tire out doing the rounds until youre stuffed to your neck! Drinks are reasonable. MUST VISIT IN NAIROBI!

An unforgettable experience! The Carnivore is more than just a restaurant – lively atmosphere, excellent service, and an endless variety of meats, from beef to ostrich, served right at your table with the fun “all you can eat” style. Everything is perfectly cooked and complemented by tasty sides and sauces. A must-visit in Nairobi!
Antonio L — Google review
Most tourists come to town (Nairobi) are usually recommended to come to this restaurant to try the wild game meats. But the menu has changed since 2004. Back in the day, Carnivore used to serve all kinds of game meats-like ostrich, crocodile (alligator), giraffe, gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo, impala, and even zebra. Nowadays, the only exotic options left on the menu are ostrich and alligator, with the rest being your regular domesticated meats. In 2004, Kenya banned game meat to help with wildlife conservation efforts, except for ostriches and crocodiles, which can be farmed. As of 2024, it costs KSh 4,800 ($38) per person for their all-you-can-eat meat deal at Carnivore. But there are Brazilian steakhouses in Nairobi offering all-you- can-eat meat for half the price-and with better quality. Plus drinks and water aren't included here. Carnivore is iconic. It's always packed, and anyone visiting Kenya is told to check it out. And I think it is a tourist trap.
Doug H — Google review
Not suitable for vegetarians. Mainly meat of all types is served. Perfectly prepared food. Perfect choice for meat lovers. We tried ostrich, pork, beef, lamb, chicken, quail, turkey and crocodile. It's good to have a reservation.

While the concept might evoke thoughts of a Brazilian steakhouse, Carnivore in Nairobi offers a truly distinctive and unforgettable dining experience. This restaurant delivers an incredible array of meat options, expertly prepared and covering a wide spectrum (just check out the menu in my pictures!). Beyond the food, the ambiance is fantastic; Carnivore is very well decorated, creating a vibrant and fitting setting. We were also impressed by the fast and efficient service, which ensured a seamless and enjoyable meal. The meat itself was incredibly tasty, and the accompanying sauces and salads perfectly complemented the rich flavors, truly enhancing the overall experience. And the dessert? It was indeed the perfect "icing on the cake," rounding out a magnificent meal. You simply cannot miss this gem when visiting Nairobi!

The experience is fair for the price. The outside is very chaotic and opposite a bus rank..& there is lots of noise with minimal parking inside..the complex was just noisy but this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself.. it’s beautiful and the staff are very welcoming.. the food was okay and so many options to choose from. There were kids running around but again the restaurant has no control over this. The ambience is just not great if you’re looking for a calm environment like i was.. the service I give it a 12/10! All the waiters were very nice!

Our experience at fogo began really well and was one of a kind,,the food was amazing, fresh salads, all the meats were so tender and staff who approached us to refill our plates ( Charles and Wycliffe) were so kind and engaging. We were there to celebrate my sister’s 27th birthday. She at one point went to the bathroom and left me with my niece who is 2,,a very calm girl who had not cried or left her stroller at any one point during our whole time at the restaurant,,the baby panicking and not knowing where her mum was stood up and started pushing her stroller and didn’t distract any guest coz nobody was sat on that side of the restaurant. I followed her (Moseti who is a supervisor or something) walked to us,,me and the child and told me to secure the baby stroller because we are in a restaurant and not a playground,,it’s not a question of who was in the wrong or right,,it’s how he spoke to me that mattered,,I wasn’t there to beg for food I was there to pay. Our evening was so ruined by that disgraceful man. Wycliffe and Charles were amazing.❤️ they comforted us and apologized to us for that inconvenience,, though Moseti had to be forced to come to our table to apologize,,the apology was more of him trying to argue and justify himself

Mambo Italia Lavington is a top Italian restaurant in Nairobi, offering authentic Italian cuisine and a wide selection of wines. The restaurant features beautiful artwork and has three conveniently located branches. The Lavington branch is a rooftop pizza restaurant with tall fire heaters and an original selection of pizzas on the menu. It's perfect for casual dining with friends, often accompanied by live music.
I had my senses well and truly tickled by the desserts here. They were that good! I especially recommend the orange and almond cake as well as the fudge brownie (served a la mode). Absolutely delectable! The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and you can choose to sit on the terrace or indoors , where you still have an almost panoramic view of the city (including the parking lot downstairs). The decor makes for great instagram-friendly shots and the exposed wooden beams and lampshade pendant lighting in the bar give a unique feel to the space. Good food, good service, good decor. 👍🏿
Tomisin A — Google review
Lovely food, but an odd and uncomfortable experience with the management/supervisor. I visited Mambo Italia Lavington recently for a casual date night. We ordered two pizzas, enjoyed our meal, and I had a glass of white wine with dinner, while my date had a beer. As the evening progressed, I decided to have a cocktail to finish off the night after our meal — especially since it was happy hour and there was a good offer on the margaritas. Unfortunately, what should’ve been a relaxed and enjoyable evening took a strange turn. As I was sipping on my cocktail, the floor manager came over to our table and commented — rather bluntly — that she just wanted to see “who this was” that managed to have wine and then cocktails. She said she was surprised, adding that she had "never seen this before" at their restaurant. This went on and on for an uncomfortable amount of time. I was honestly taken aback. It felt unnecessary and a little embarrassing, especially since we were just enjoying our evening quietly and hadn’t done anything to warrant attention. It’s not unusual to have wine with dinner and a cocktail afterward — and certainly not something that should draw commentary from management. The food was great and the ambiance lovely, but that moment left me feeling uncomfortable, profiled, judged, and unwelcome. It was incredibly embarrasing, especially as I was on a date. It really killed the vibe of the evening, and we just left after that. A more thoughtful and respectful approach to customer interactions would make a big difference.

I had a lovely time at Mambo Italia where Nairobi meets Italy with it's good food and drink options. You've got a choice of making your own pizza as well. There's ample space for kids to play as well so it's good for a nice family hangout. The service was quick and tailored, you can get food recommended your way. I would recommend the ice-cream with a brownie. It's a bit breezy in the evening so a sweater would be good.

Amazing place with a beautiful rooftop view of the usual Nairobi traffic madness! They have a kid’s play arcade on the rooftop (yea i know crazy) but perfectly safe. They have craft beer that comes with long intimidating glasses but we’ll still drink!! Pretty chilled out less noise & more fun.

We visited this place on Saturday during Easter holiday and I was pleasantly surprised how empty it was for the superb food and service they provide. We ordered BBQ Pork Ribs and Fillet Steak for the main course, and a few drinks: Passion Margarita (for my gf) and the Amarena Jack for me. Both food and drinks were amazing. So I highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back. BTW, passion margarita was served with sugar instead of salt, which my gf liked a lot. PS. I would probably try their pizza next time (for being an Italian restaurant.)

This premier shopping center in East Africa provides a luxurious and modern environment for both local residents and international visitors. Despite facing challenges after a terror attack in 2013, it has continued to thrive as an engaging hub for shopping, leisure activities, and family-friendly events.
Shopping and dining at Westgate Shopping Mall was a delightful experience that combined convenience, variety, and elegance. The mall’s layout is spacious and inviting, with a mix of local and international stores offering everything from fashion and accessories to unique home décor items. It was easy to find exactly what I needed while also indulging in a bit of window shopping. After shopping, I enjoyed a delicious meal at one of the mall’s many restaurants. The dining options cater to every taste, from quick bites to gourmet experiences. The ambiance was lively yet relaxing, with excellent service that made the experience even more enjoyable. ☕🌿

There is up to 5.12a level. There are also various discounts for students and other. Material to rent is also available. Nice, but small climbing/Bouldering hall. Not easy to find. Supportive and friendly staff. The Boulder section is more for medium to advanced climbers. Beginners will come to their limits in the Boulder section quickly. The climbing is all top rope... No lead climbing. A small changing chamber but no lockers nor showers. They are also organizing on demand outdoor activities/tours for climbers. There is a food court with very good Indian food at the parking area, in case you got hungry after climbing. (Translated by Google) I don't think the people who run this want visitors. They do not respond either to e-mail, telephone or the contact form on their own websites. The way in is signposted at the start, but then... there is no way anymore. A minimum of four-wheel drive is required to get there, possibly a tracked vehicle or tanks.

Nestled just a scenic 30-minute drive from Nairobi in the charming countryside of Limuru, Brown's Cheese offers an enchanting escape into the world of dairy farming. This delightful farm resembles a picturesque vineyard, complete with lush pastures and grazing cows. Visitors can indulge in a unique cheese tasting experience that requires prior booking from Thursday to Saturday. The highlight is undoubtedly the three-course lunch paired with local wines or beers, alongside an engaging tour of the cheese factory and a fascinating milking demonstration.
Really nice way to spend an afternoon. Kid friendly. The factory tour was great and informative. Food was straight from the farm and really fresh

Cafe
Breakfast restaurant
Tin Roof Cafe is a popular eatery in Nairobi, known for its delicious chicken and chickpea burgers. The cafe offers a rustic farmhouse ambiance with artistic pillow covers and stylish decor, creating a relaxed vibe. It's considered one of Nairobi's coolest gastro-cafes, providing healthy cuisine in serene, green surroundings away from the city's hustle and bustle.
Friendly service and good food. I had the pepper-steak with fries and besides the fries being perfectly crispy and flavorful, the steak and its sauces were delicious! Would -99% recommend!

Food is wholesome and excellent. Great spot if you want to insulate yourself from the local poverty and hang with just expats. The prices on the food and the surrounding stores reflect that it’s caters to the wealthier crowd. As with most of Kenya, the service is just nowt quite there.

A lovely place to be in a green, quiet environment. Food is great and healthy. One can sit in the garden, on the veranda and inside. Staff is wonderful!

Consistently amazing food, service, and vibe. We have been coming here for years and nothing has changed (nor would we want it to!). For parents of young kids there is a playground next to the cafe. The cappuccinos are always amazing, and the menu is fantastic. I've never been disappointed!

The food is excellent - really one of the best restaurants for me in terms of food as I love café food. The coffee is great too. They have a really lovely salad bar. The food arrives fairly quickly after ordering. However, the service is a big let down. I had to walk up to the counter to ask for service. I requested for my cheque several times. There was no interest whatsoever in asking me how my food was - or at least noticing when I was done eating. It wasn't heaving so what gives. At the end there, one of the employees apologised for the bad service, so there's that. I would love to go back for the food, but it won't be soon as the treatment left me rather perplexed.

Calm and serene atmosphere, I always come here for a slightly late lunch. The salads are amazing.I absolutely love the one with quinoa. They serve healthy food so no potato chips only sweet potato and they're equally as good, if not better! The seating area is open, you can sit outside on the terrace, in the garden or inside(it looks like a lovely sitting room in a cabin somewhere) You can also bring your dogs here! It's inside a lush green area, you almost forget you are in the city. They close early, so perfect for breakfast and lunch, late or otherwise.

Here’s an intriguing description of **Tin Roof Café in Karen**: --- Tucked away in the leafy lanes of Karen, **Tin Roof Café** is a hidden gem that effortlessly blends rustic charm with modern comfort. From the moment you step under its quirky tin roof, the café envelops you in a warm, inviting atmosphere where natural light dances across wooden tables and vintage décor. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the earthy scent of the surrounding greenery, creating an almost magical sensory experience. Whether you’re lounging with a book in the cozy corners, catching up with friends at sun-drenched tables, or enjoying the gentle breeze on the outdoor patio, Tin Roof Café feels like a secret escape from the city’s rush. The menu, a delightful fusion of hearty comfort foods and artisanal treats, ensures every bite is as memorable as the ambiance itself. It’s more than just a café—it’s a space where time slows down, conversations linger, and every visit feels like discovering a small, enchanting world of its own. --- If you want, I can also write a **short, punchy version** perfect for social media or travel guides that hooks people instantly. Do you want me to do that?
