Nestled in the picturesque setting of Monaco, the New National Museum of Monaco - Villa Paloma is a captivating destination that art enthusiasts should not overlook. Housed within a beautifully restored four-story villa, this museum showcases original decor and features stunning terraced Italianate gardens that enhance its charm. While many visitors may miss out on exploring the nearby Jardin Exotique due to its remote location, those who venture there are rewarded with breathtaking views over Monaco's landscape.
If you like art (and even if you don’t) you should visit. The building is beautiful! Their garden and the view is also very pretty. We saw the George Condo exhibit. You can tell not many people know about it and that makes it more enjoyable as its not crowded. I highly recommend the visit.
Heriberto Z — Google review
Villa itself is a beautiful place with an amazing architectural heritage. Very nicely maintained. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Garden around the villa has a breathtaking view, has also some seats to simply relax surrounded by mediterranean plants and outdoor art installations. Temporary exhibition was very nicely prepared- interactive, with a lot of audiovisual materials, full of interesting photos and original art works. Besides the exposition viewer can admire contemporary art works displayed in some rooms. On the ground floor there is a very nice library/ activity room for children. In my opinion this museum is a must-see!
Hanna M — Google review
Stunning. Even just for the view over Nice. We saw the Chanel exhibition which was very creatively and thoughtfully curated. It is out of the way high above Monaco so you can catch several elevators and stairs up to the top. There is not cafe there but you can buy bottles of water at reception. Lockers are available so you are ‘hands free’ to enjoy the exhibits.
Kate D — Google review
I can recommend for all fashion lovers and Chanel collectors to visit “Coco Chanel” exhibition. It was nice and the place was beautiful inside and outside. Just don’t expect to see many of her work as dresses, jewellery and bags, just a few. A little disappointed. But it’s very good organised and I found some new information about her life and work. Thanks.
Daria C — Google review
While walking around Monaco, I randomly passed by a museum and to my surprise the entrance was free! Such a lovely coincidence. Inside, there was an exhibition about Coco Chanel’s life and achievements, plus works from Pablo Picasso and other artists. I discovered things I never knew before, and it turned into one of those unexpected little adventures that make traveling so special.
Kawthar J — Google review
Beautiful villa with a stunning view, but absolutely awful staff The villa itself is beautiful and offers a fantastic view over the old town — truly a gem in terms of location and architecture. However, the experience was completely ruined by the appalling behavior of the museum staff. We arrived half an hour before closing time with valid tickets, and that would have been more than enough time for a visit. Despite this, the staff flat-out refused to let us in, showing no flexibility or basic courtesy. Their attitude was incredibly rude and unprofessional — it was clear they had no interest in helping or even being polite. There's a complete lack of customer service and respect for visitors, which is shocking for a cultural institution. People with such disdain for others should not be working in roles that involve any public interaction. The staff's behavior left a bitter taste and overshadowed what could have been a lovely visit. A disgrace to such a beautiful place.
Ivan K — Google review
Ms. Chanel’s origin story, well told in video, clothing, art & artifacts. Inspiring and enlightening — villa Paloma is beautiful to visit and Sundays are free :)
Darryl N — Google review
An absolutely lovely experience. Picturesque view, friendly staff, well curated exhibition, the vibes are vibing. Student tickets are free and the standard is €6 which you can also use at Villa Sauber for the current Newton exhibition. That’s a pity though that no one told use cause my mom paid twice. Otherwise an immaculate space.

Stamp shop
The Museum of Stamps and Coins, located near Fontvieille port in Monaco, is a unique attraction showcasing the principality's rich cultural heritage through its extensive collection of historical postage stamps, banknotes, and coins. The museum houses rare philatelic specimens dating back to 1885 and documents used for stamp printing. Visitors can explore the numismatic history of Monaco since 1640 through an array of coins and banknotes on display.
Very welcoming gentleman at the front. We had a small child with a stroller and had no issues. Entry was around 8 euro each, small children were free. The museum is petite and has a wide variety of stamps and coins that date back hundreds of years. We walked out with some stamps for souvenir purchase. The man at the front showed us exclusive F1 stamp collection from low to high and explained everything. Thank you

In these last 3 years I was ready in the 'queue-fair' waiting list for 2-3 hours to buy an euro coin. For 3 years in a row (10 minutes ago the 3rd time happened), it refreshes/reload when it's 10'o'clock. This time it sayed "the queue is now closed, all coins are sold out"...? Within 0,01 second? After refreshing it for 5 minutes I am now no. 9500 in the queue... problaby missing buying an euro coin AGAIN.. Selling these coins is a wonderful "cash cow" for this museum I bet.. so it probably doesn't care about the quality of services like this queue-fair partner which has the worst service ever.
Ralph — Google review
A wonderfully quiet sanctuary for the philatelic numismatist. Very cheap entry and no crowds
Carl S — Google review
We visited the museum when Google said it was open. However, the guard at the front door said that the museum had been closed for at least three weeks for renovations. He had no idea when it would be open again. I'm not sure whether it was Google or the museum staff that dropped the ball but it was definitely a disappointment.
Jeremiah S — Google review
A wonderful little museum telling the history of Monaco's postage stamp and coin development through its Monegasque stamp and coin collection. If you pay attention to the details, you can even follow the country's history itself. A pity (or perhaps a blessing) it is rarely visited; there were only three visitors at the time, me included. I guess those reviews from annoyed online shoppers are not really helping, but they are completely irrelevant to the actual museum.
Leo S — Google review
Small well organized museum with interesring artefacts - stamps and coins
Iska H — Google review
Very interesting museum. You can trace the entire history of the Principality and its values through its stamps and coinage. Friendly staff. Admission is only €3, and when I paid with a €5 bill, I received change in the form of a €2 Monaco coin. Highly recommended for stamp and coin enthusiasts.
Michael R — Google review
07.09 From 10:00 the 2022 commerative €2 coin was for sale, but like every year there was an online waiting list, I opened the site at 07:00 and had it on for the whole time. At 10:00 I was placed in the waiting list and there were somewhere around 10.000 people before me..... At 13:00 it was finally my turn to buy the coin, I then reached the site and it said that the coin was "épuisé"....... Can someone please explain to me how 15.000 coins were sold when there were only 10.000 people before me??? Baddest service ever and each year the same terrible experience.....

The Prince's Palace of Monaco, a 13th-century residence, offers lavish state apartments that are open to the public seasonally. Monaco provides a stunning backdrop for romantic experiences, such as proposals, with its Mediterranean coastline and glamorous attractions like the Monte Carlo Casino. The palace is often included in sightseeing tours and shore excursions that also visit other historic sites and landmarks in Monaco. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views from the palace terrace while admiring Port Hercule.
I highly recommend this to anyone interested in the history of Monaco and it's monarchy. This palace is the seat of the royal family and still plays an active role in the government. They recommend purchasing admission tickets in advance online, but tickets can also be bought at the gift shop across the plaza. You will have to go though a security screening to enter the palace. The tour is self-guided, and an audio-guide in 11 languages is included with your ticket. An entire wing is open to the public, so allow at least an hour if you want to see everything. The audio-tour dives deep into the country's history, and I found it very interesting. Each room features beautiful artifacts, furnishings, and vivid information. Guide-led tours are also available, but must be booked in advance. If you plan to visit the nearby Oceanographic Museum on the same day, you can purchase a combo ticket to both for a reduced rate.

The Prince's Palace of Monaco is the official residence of the Prince of Monaco. It's built on a former fortress site from the 13th century. Parts of the original fortress still visible within its stone walls and towers. Due to lack of time could not visit the interior of the palace. But enjoyed the spectacular, panoramic views of the city, the harbor with the yachts, and the surrounding mountains from the location of the palace. Wonderful experience even without getting inside the palace. Highly recommend it.

The Prince's Palace of Monaco is the Magnificent Residence of the Prince Albert and the Royal Family. Inside the Prince's Palace of Monaco, you can visit the publicly accessible Grand Apartments, which feature opulent state rooms like the Hercules Gallery, Hall of Mirrors, Throne Room, and Louis XV Salon, all decorated with period furniture, frescoes, tapestries, and artwork. Visitors can also see the Palatine Chapel and admire the Court of Honour. Beyond the state apartments, the palace grounds contain the Napoleonic Museum, a Car Collection, and the Palace Archives. Its a historic landmark offering stunning panoramic views of the city and harbor. Easily accessible by a short uphill walk, it beautifully showcases Monaco’s royal heritage and rich history. The palace courtyard and surroundings are open to visitors free of charge, making it a must-see attraction for anyone exploring the principality.
Sundeep G — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Place du Palais Princier – Monaco We didn’t go inside the palace, but the square itself is absolutely beautiful! Charming little streets with nice shops, bars, and restaurants — all at reasonable prices (especially for Monaco!). The view over the bay and the small yacht harbor is truly spectacular. It’s best explored on foot. At 11:55 a.m. you can watch the changing of the guard — quite fun to see, though it gets crowded and the area is roped off. Still, definitely worth a visit when in Monaco!
Alexander W — Google review
Saw the change of guards ceremony. It was worth the effort to go uphill and watch this. Also, the gift shop in the courtyard is very reasonable compared to other souvenir shops in the city. The view of Monte Carlo from the palace is breathtaking.
Imi M — Google review
A must see if in Monaco! I took the Hop on & Hop off bus tour to the Palace and in my opinion is the best way to get up there if you're a tourist! I actually got off the bus twice at this particular stop because it is so SPECTACULAR! Best views of Monaco. This is not a place, it's a DREAM! It could get very windy but that's all part of the allure. If you're traveling solo, then a selfie stick is your best friend. You'll get AMAZING shots. Other than the Palace, there are a few small places to eat and some souvenirs vendors, oh there was like some changing of the guard kinda protocol that took place for a few.
Gorgjess 1 — Google review
Fairytale & Legendary Palace They do not come much better than the Palace of Monaco. On the seaside, with fantastic weather a few soldiers and canons to guard the entrance. This is it, really nice and really enjoyed our visit here. The change of the guards is also interesting & very nice to watch. Overall fantastic experience!

The Old Monaco Museum, also known as Musee du Vieux Monaco, offers a unique glimpse into the history and traditions of the ancient principality. This small cultural museum showcases over a thousand years of Monegasque history through its collection of historic art, costumes, household items, ancient coins, photographs, musical instruments and ceramics. Visitors can explore displays depicting early life in Monaco and learn about civil and religious traditions.
Great walk through the old narrow streets and beautiful buildings. At the entrance is a drinking water tap for bottles

The Monaco Naval Museum is a captivating destination that offers visitors a journey through maritime history. Founded by Prince Albert, this museum showcases an impressive collection of naval artifacts and models, spanning from ancient Roman ships to modern cruise liners. Situated in Les Terrasses de Fontvieille, the museum features two expansive exhibition halls as well as an outdoor site displaying objects from various international collections.
Ideal place for ship model geeks. I even found the model of Turtle Ship invented by Korean admiral Li Shuncheng in 16th century which was famous in the battle against Japanese.

The Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology is a captivating attraction for history enthusiasts and families visiting the Jardin Exotique de Monaco. Founded to preserve anthropological remains discovered during Monaco's construction, the museum showcases a remarkable collection of prehistoric artifacts and fossils. Visitors can marvel at fossilized remains such as a wooly mammoth skeleton and a 2000-year-old male corpse, offering insights into human evolution during glacial and interglacial periods.
Small, but free with garden admission. The cave (grotto) where these artifacts come from is the really cool part. Tours go there every hour on the hour. The museum itself has some pretty nice taxidermy and skeletons. Unlike US museums, they seem to have originals on display, which is neat.
Jon G — Google review
Small museum, with focus on education. Quite entertaining for children (preferebly speaking french). A fair number of artefacts from older research in nearby caves. The museum has very friendly and helpful staff, and admission is practically free (€ 1). A nice change of pace to the extravaganza of the ultra-rich, which are very much in evidence in Monaco 😉
Migchel M — Google review
Had a nice (€1!) visit to this place. It’s small but nice and it has a terrace with a great view.
Sabrina S — Google review
It was a cute stop on the way to monaco. If you want a place where you can catch your breath and at the same time learn something new. This is the place to be! We were welcomed by some amazing and kind people. The VR tour is nicely done ! You can go to the terrace - which has the perks of having an amazing view on monaco.
Carole H — Google review
It was under renovation when we visited and only one wing is receiving visitors. But for 1 euro, it was well worth it!
Allen S — Google review
As an anthropologist I had to visit the museum. It's a very small museum compared to others around Europe/ World, but for the price you pay you will have a great time. It's cool since you have items/ reconstructions of items found near Monaco, and it's also kids friendly with some sheets for painting and make them entertained. Outside you can see a nice view of Monaco. For 1€ (in 2023) it's a pleasant place to visit, I don't even believe that it pays the electricity spent during the time I was inside ahah.
Bernardo R — Google review
Small museum but the visit was totally worth it. The exhibits were unique and amazing. Lots of insightful information. The entry ticket is 1 € and the view from the terrace is amazing.
Simona A — Google review
Took me forever to find it, when I finally did I was told it was already closed at 5.30, even though allegedly it closes at 6 pm. I was really disappointed, as I had hurried and walked so much searching for it and had been so glad when I thought I'd finally found it in time for a quick visit. Absolutely gutted, as the entrance looked really nice and I'd been looking forward to visiting on my one and only day in Monaco, which I also could've spent better than searching for a bunch of closed places. 😞

The Private Cars Collection of HSH Prince of Monaco is a spacious museum that showcases a remarkable array of vintage automobiles once owned by Prince Rainier III. The collection boasts nearly 100 classic cars, including prestigious models from Maserati, Jaguar, Mercedes, and Rolls-Royce, as well as iconic vehicles like the De Dion-Bouton 1903, Ford A 1930, Delage 1934, and Lincoln 1928.
The collection is worth visiting for any fan of luxury and unique cars, the entrance fee is priced fair at 10 euros and the exhibition has interactive parts providing information in various languages. The gift shop is worth a visit and has a wide range of F1 merchandise, vintage Monaco prints and souvenirs which are all fairly priced. It does get very busy but it is worth taking the time to appreciate the collection to it's entirety, very accessible and easy to find.

I had a wonderful time visiting the car exhibition in Monte Carlo. The collection is beautifully curated, showcasing some truly unique and fascinating pieces — from rare automobiles to glimpses into the prince’s life, and even some captivating outer space machinery. The blend of history, innovation, and storytelling makes the experience both engaging and memorable. On top of that, the tickets are very reasonably priced, making it excellent value for such a special exhibition. Highly recommend!

Oh man, if you wanna go fast, you gotta visit this place! I’m Scott Bobby (Ricky’s half brother - if you know our dad, you know😉) and let me tell ya, as a guy who’s all about speed and shakin’ and bakin’ down the track, this museum is straight-up legendary. Help me, Tom Cruise—wait, no, that’s not right, but seriously, this collection is like the ultimate pit stop for any gearhead. It’s got nearly a hundred of the most beautiful, badass cars from history, all shiny and ready to roar, just sittin’ there in this modern 3,500 square meter spot right by Port Hercule, close enough to the Monaco Grand Prix circuit that you can almost hear the engines revvin’ from the old days. I mean, we’re talkin’ classics like the 1903 De Dion Bouton— that’s older than my grandma’s recipe for ice cubes. And then bam, you got F1 monsters: the Bugatti Type 35B that won the first Monaco GP in 1929, the Renault RE60 from ‘85, Ferrari 640 that dominated in ‘89, and even Sébastien Loeb’s Citroën DS3 WRC from the 2013 Monte Carlo Rally. Ferraris, Lambos, Maseratis, Rolls-Royces, Lincolns, and Porsches. In fact there’s a beautiful Porsche 918 Spyder as soon as you walk in. This place is like a who’s who of automotive royalty, all polished up and tellin’ stories of glory on the track. Prince Rainier III knew how to pick ‘em; he started this back in the ‘50s, and now Prince Albert’s keepin’ the flame alive. No wonder Monaco’s the heart of racin’—this ain’t just a museum, it’s a temple to goin’ fast! The setup’s top-notch too: well-lit, organized by eras and types, with room to walk around and imagine yourself behind the wheel. I spent hours there, feelin’ like a king (or a prince, ha!). If you’re into cars, F1 or just pure adrenaline, this is a must-see. Five stars all the way—dear Lord, baby Jesus, thank you for this collection! I’d shake and bake right through the doors again in a heartbeat. My friend Jean Girard and his husband Gregory loved it too.
Scott L — Google review
A great timeline of automotive history, from early classics to modern supercars. The collection is beautifully displayed and easy to walk through. Personally, I found there to be a few too many vintage models compared to newer ones, but it’s still impressive to see the evolution of design and engineering in one place. Perfect for a 20–30 minute visit, especially for car enthusiasts passing through Monaco.

Jardins Saint-Martin is a serene and picturesque public garden with terraced levels, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Established in 1830, the garden is adorned with a variety of Mediterranean and tropical plants, as well as a charming pond teeming with carp. Visitors can admire the iconic statue of Prince Albert commanding his ship at the lower level while enjoying a postcard-worthy view of the museum against the backdrop of the French Riviera coastline.
Jardins Saint Martin in Monaco is a true gem and my favorite spot in the principality. Perched along the cliffs, the garden offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The gardens are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for a leisurely stroll or quiet reflection. It’s also thoughtfully equipped with free public restrooms, making it convenient for visitors. And to top it all off, I saw a huge gray heron during my visit!

It’s a great place to take a quiet break from sightseeing, with benches to sit and enjoy the view, and sculptures dotted throughout, including one of Prince Albert I. Some paths are slightly steep, but overall it’s easy to stroll through and very photogenic.

Tucked away in Monaco-Ville, these gardens are a serene escape from the city's bustle. I was captivated by the sweeping views of the Mediterranean and the charming cliffside paths. The lush greenery, including Aleppo pines and vibrant agaves, creates a peaceful atmosphere. Notably, the bronze statue of Prince Albert I adds a touch of elegance. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a moment of reflection. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility amidst the beauty of Monaco.

These garden is a very special spot in Monaco to enjoy the nature, view and the statues. With beautifully landscaped paths, exotic plants, and colorful flowers, they offer a relaxing escape surrounded by nature. From several spots along the walkways, you get spectacular sea views that make the stroll even more special. The gardens are perfectly maintained and filled with benches where you can rest and enjoy the scenery.

One of the best place you can visit in Monaco. It opens up a different side of the city - the beauty of nature. It’s a breathtaking place I recommend everyone to visit

This public park offers sweeping views of the Mediterranean and Port de Fontvieille from atop a cliff. Located right outside the Cathédrale de Monaco, this park basically connects the Prince's Palace to the Oceanographic Museum, which I found super convenient! The grounds are very well kept. The garden is big enough to feel peaceful and quiet, but small enough to walk across in just under 15 minutes. The only downside is this park does close at 18:00 (6pm), so don't wait until evening to get here. However, I recommend this for the views alone and the central location.

Parking du Chemin des Pêcheurs is a convenient and spacious multilevel parking facility located near the only natural beach in Monaco, Plage des Pecheurs. It offers easy access to various attractions such as the Aquarium, Cathedral, garden, and palace. The parking is clean and well-maintained with wide bays suitable for larger vehicles. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the ocean and port from certain spots around the area.
If you're reading this, don't look elsewhere. It's a great place to start your trip. Park your car and enjoy Monaco. Walk to Santo Gelato and reward yourself with a delicious ice cream. And enjoy the free views.
Asım S — Google review
The location of this Garage is really great and you can see all the main attractions in a walking distance (e.g. up to 45 min max one-way). Close to the entrance there is even a small, but nice beach (using some steep steps).

A good starting point at the end of Monaco Bay. This means the parking garage isn't overcrowded, even during the holiday season, and there are no traffic jams on arrival and departure. Prices are moderate.
Matthias S — Google review
If you’re planning to visit Monaco’s Old Town, this parking garage is a real lifesaver. Conveniently located right beneath the historic center, it makes it easy to reach all the main attractions, including museums and charming streets. The garage is modern, clean, and secure — it’s really nice to leave your car here and explore the city without worries. The only thing to note is the price: around €10 for three hours. For Monaco, this is quite standard, but keep it in mind if you plan a longer visit. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a hassle-free way to enjoy Old Town!
FOTATOUR — Google review
Very good parking garage for Monaco. Spaces are wide and car park feels very safe. Prices are reasonable (for Monaco) and you can either leave and head towards the port for a fantastic view of Monaco opening up in front of you, or you can head up to the Oceanographic museum and Palace. There are lifts and escalators from parking level to the museum and palace level.

Perched dramatically on a cliffside, the Musee Oceanographique de Monaco was established by Prince Albert I and has been captivating visitors since 1910. The museum boasts an impressive aquarium featuring 6000 specimens, including sharks, tropical fish, and Mediterranean species housed in ninety tanks. It serves as a tribute to the prince's contributions to oceanography and marine biology. Additionally, visitors can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Monaco and the Mediterranean from the rooftop terrace.
I highly recommend visiting the Monaco Oceanographic Museum. The building has five levels in total (including the ground floor and terrace), but the two highlights are Floor -2 and Floor +1. Floor -2 (Aquariums): This is where you’ll find the aquariums, the main attraction for both adults and children. It’s a must-see. Floor +1 (Exhibits): This floor houses fascinating exhibits about oceanography, exploration, and history. Adults will find them engaging, though children may lose interest quickly. For families, a good strategy is to let the kids enjoy the aquariums first while you take time to explore the museum-style exhibits upstairs without rushing. A visit takes a minimum of 2 hours, with 3 hours being ideal. Anything longer might feel overwhelming, so if you want to dive deeper into all the details and information panels, it’s worth considering a second visit. Other floors are less essential: Floor -1: Mostly empty. Ground floor (0): Entrance, gift shop, and a stunning conference hall that looks more like a palace. Terrace (+2): Offers beautiful views but not a major highlight compared to the main exhibits. Overall, the museum is an enriching experience, especially if you focus on the two key levels.

Is this place awesome? Yes. Is it worth the entry price? Maybe. Would I go again? No. Let me clarify. If you've got kids, it's DEFINITELY worth it. Otherwise there's other things to do / see that are more amazing. What it's got is a nice restaurant terrace with a kids playground. And an awesome function room that we spend some time just sitting. Otherwise it's just good, but not great.
Petrut I — Google review
Beautiful and well curated. The aquarium part is well kept, with interesting information about the fish and other creatures kept in the tanks. It is not too big, but with its focus on the Mediterranean, it covered a lot of species. The exhibit part was very interesting and organised, and much better than what I would expect from what I thought would be an aquarium. The 2050 exhibit was positive and engaging, and I left feeling hopeful (in contrast to the usual feeling of helplessness against climate change). The view from the terrace is beautiful.
Caroline M — Google review
A must do visit in Monaco, with or without children. The building itself was very impressive. However the displays were amazing. The exhibition was incredibly well done and very entertaining. The view from the rooftop with its restaurant and cafe was amazing.

One of the most beautiful museums in Europe! On the very edge of a steep cliff, carved into stone overlooking the ocean. Very modern and well kept with exhibitions ranging from polar ice explorations and skeletons of blue whales to the history of Monaco. Definitely a must visit if you go to Monaco! We did not buy tickets in advance nor did we wait, visited in July!
Nikola G — Google review
The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco made a huge impression on me. It’s beautifully designed, with incredible attention to detail — both the exhibits and the building’s architecture are truly impressive. The only small downside is that navigation inside isn’t very intuitive — the tour starts from the lower floors, but there aren’t many clear signs indicating that. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic experience! There’s a huge number of exhibits, historical artifacts, and interactive displays that capture the attention of both adults and children. It’s definitely worth buying a combined ticket with the Prince’s Car Collection — it’s cheaper as a bundle and both attractions complement each other well. On the rooftop, there’s a terrace offering a stunning panoramic view of the sea and a restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere — a perfect place to take a break after visiting the museum. A highlight is the “Mediterranee 2050” interactive exhibition, which explores the future of marine life and the challenges facing the Mediterranean ecosystem. It’s beautifully executed, thought-provoking, and leaves a lasting impression.

My favourite place in the world! Beautiful building on the side of the cliff, price was 22 euro for an adult but well worth it, especially if you have never been before. Large clean tanks and animals look well cared for. New digital installation which the nephews loved. Make sure you go to the rooftop for the panoramic views! Lush clear blue sea and fab views of the boats and port.
Hayley H — Google review
Small, but great aquarium at the top of a mountain. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the walk up and up and up the incline to reach the aquarium. Most of the people going up to the museum stopped to rest and enjoy the view about midway up. I believe there is a little train/tram... wish I had known before the exhausting climb.

The Exotic Garden of Monaco, also known as Jardin Exotique, is a hidden gem that showcases a stunning open-air display of cacti and succulent plants from dry zones worldwide. Perched on a rocky promontory at the north-western entrance of Monaco, it offers breathtaking views over the entire principality. The garden's unique location adds to its charm, drawing visitors to admire the diverse plant species while enjoying panoramic vistas of the Rock of Monaco and the Mediterranean coastline.
The gardens are superb. The price (7.50€ per adult) includes the gardens, the cave (really nice) and a small prehistoric museum. The view is fantastic and cacti are beautiful. There are small paths, romantic spots with benches and cute stop overs. The cave is very interesting, a little adventure, it's very warm and humid inside, I recommend to visit it (guided tours are every full hour, last one starts at 17). The museum gives a bit more history behind the cave and olden times in Monaco.

Exploring the Exotic Garden was a wonderful experience—the variety of plants was truly impressive, with some reaching massive, awe-inspiring sizes. The highlight, however, was visiting the grotto completely alone, with no other tourists around, and having a free guide to myself. It was by far the best experience I had in Monaco.

It is very interesting for visiting place with a lot of different types of plants. Some of them are exotic and you can’t see them in many places. There is a historical museum in the garden. I liked it a lot because in my opinion it was more children oriented and information that you can receive there is presented in a very attractive and easy way. The view from the garden is also breathtaking because the garden is located on a cliffside and you can see the whole Monaco from it. The only thing that I regret for is that we weren’t able to visit the cave because it was closed that time of the year.

Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo is an upscale shopping center located opposite the Casino Gardens, offering a luxurious and warm ambiance with marble floors and stunning crystal chandeliers. With 80 shops and 6 restaurants, it's a perfect destination for a full day of shopping. The center features a wide selection of fashion items, accessories, gourmet food, jewelry, luxury watches, beauty care products, home decoration items, and tableware brands.
The Beautiful place to Shop or Browsing through the window. The exquisite of Metropole Shopping in Monte-Carlo, is that it welcomes you right from outside to the Beautiful Marble Floors and Chandeliers inside the shopping mall. Even if you don't buy anything, the experience of being here is Amazing!
Martha B — Google review
Walking into Metropole feels like stepping into a well‑kept slice of old Monaco—Carrara marble floors, big chandeliers, and an air‑conditioned calm. Even if you're not here to shop, it's worth a wander . There are about 70–80 shops ranging from luxe brands (Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Kenzo) to the ever‑handy Fnac for gadgets and books . Some reviewers say it’s more window‑shopping than serious retail therapy, but others mention it's not outrageously expensive if you know where to look . It’s a good spot to grab a coffee or lunch—places like Ladurée (macarons!) and a couple of cafes are there, including one locals favour after 3 PM for coffee and newspapers . Perfect pit‑stop if it’s hot, rainy, or you just want a break. A few tips: Weekdays = fewer crowds. Some shops are closed on Sundays, so don’t go expecting everything open . Easy to get to: a short walk from the train station or Casino, or via buses 1, 5, 6. Parking’s available too . --- Bottom line: A classy, calm indoor break with a bit of shopping, snacks, and nice surroundings even if you're only browsing. Not a bargain hunter’s paradise, but a pleasant few hours.

During my visit to Monte Carlo, I had the chance to explore the Metropole Shopping Center, and I was truly impressed. The mall is elegant, clean, and beautifully designed, reflecting the luxurious atmosphere of Monaco. It offers a wide selection of high-end boutiques, including brands like Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, which makes it perfect for those who enjoy luxury shopping. What I appreciated most was the calm and relaxed atmosphere, unlike the busy and crowded malls in other cities. The staff in the stores were polite and professional, and there were several nice cafes where I could take a break and enjoy a coffee. Overall, the shopping center in Monte Carlo is definitely worth visiting, even if just to admire the architecture and design. It’s a great place for both shopping and relaxing in style.

Nestled along the picturesque port of Monaco, the Salle d'Exposition du Quai Antoine Ier offers a delightful cultural experience for visitors. This charming exhibition space is conveniently located near the bustling Quai des Etats-Unis and its renowned Yacht Club de Monaco, as well as a vibrant area filled with shops and restaurants. Although the entrance may be somewhat discreetly marked, stepping inside reveals captivating exhibitions that delve into historical and artistic themes.
(Translated by Google) Beautiful exhibition at the moment "Rainier III, the prince builder". I enjoyed exploring the life of the Prince builder of Monaco. Life, beliefs, major works, the administrative organization of the principality, everything is there. It is open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and free to access.

(Translated by Google) This showroom on the upper floor on the Quai St Antoine is very well located on the port at the foot of the rock next to the parking lot of the same name. The entrance is a little hidden and poorly marked. The current exhibition entitled "A Prince, A Painter" is particularly interesting from a historical and artistic point of view. It presents works by Louis Tynaire, painter, animal designer, press illustrator and photographer. Coming from a family of multiple talents, the painter was noticed by Prince Albert 1st of Monaco at the 1900 Universal Expo in Paris. It's the start of a deep friendship. For around twenty years at the beginning of the 20th century, Louis Tynaire participated in scientific and hunting expeditions alongside Prince Albert 1st of Monaco, the great-grandfather of the current Prince of the Principality, Albert II. Having great admiration for his illustrious explorer ancestor, creator of the Oceanographic Museum of the Principality and La Maison des Océans in Paris, he wanted to highlight the friendship that was born between the two men. This is how this magnificent exhibition was born which highlights the extraordinary and little-known works of the painter Louis Tynaire. This is a unique opportunity to discover an astonishing painter who knew how to touch the hearts of the Princes. There is no doubt that it will delight yours! The exhibition “Albert 1er, Louis Tynaire” is on until September 11, 2022 at Quai St Antoine. Free access and parking.

The New National Museum of Monaco – Villa Sauber is a contemporary art museum housed in two historic Belle Époque villas. The pearly-white villa, built in 1913, offers a stunning setting near the Jardin Exotique. Visitors can enjoy impressive exhibitions, such as the recent showcase of Helmut Newton's photographs. The museum also features a beautiful garden with citrus trees and unique benches in the upper garden.
Small but nice museum, they had two exhibitions on. It was free entry at the time I went but it was a nice thing to look around for 40mins.
