Japanese restaurant
Yoshi is a renowned Japanese restaurant located in the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, the only one on the Cote d'Azur to have received a Michelin star. The dining room, designed by Didier Gomez, offers a contemporary and daring ambiance with bright colors, wood accents, and a sushi bar that opens to a small Japanese garden created by landscape artist Jacques Messin.
Solid 5 Stars! We had a wonderful experience and so many different traditional Japanese dishes, served by the chef on the chef table which I highly recommend sitting. You have a tremendous experience. I‘d definitely go back. Service super cute, with a pinch of humor and you could feel and see they have fun! The chef is just wow! Big big yes ❤️
Lisa G — Google review
It was far from the true taste of Japan. I even asked the waiter if the chef was Japanese — he wasn’t, he was Italian. The oyster came plain, without any seasoning or Japanese vinegar, just a few tasteless flowers for decoration. When I asked for a sauce, it took 20 minutes to receive a simple French-style vinegar. The sashimi platter was disappointing — the three slices of fish were stuck together, with no offset to show they were separate pieces, making them look like a single cube. The Wagyu beef itself was of good quality, but again, there was no charcoal grilling, no authentic Japanese flavor. I keep the best for the end , for such a classy restaurant you will only be offered wooden disposable chopsticks , with an unusable shape even for expert like my wife is .. They are made of unpolished wood , rectangle instead of round and stays open at the end even when you squeeze them In Asia, you can find much better for a third of the price. It was such a disappointment — and honestly sad — to realize that after so many years living in Asia, I can’t seem to find proper Japanese food anywhere around Nice.
Laurent S — Google review
Food was good but not star experience, the staff seemed to have some tension, and the kitchen/prep area was quite messy (we sat at the bar so we saw everything). Its probably the best Japanese in Monaco, but not one star worthy. Overpriced for “normal”, but market price for Monaco 😅 (just trying to set expectations)
Jinna L — Google review
Went for my birthday to have dinner and it was a really nice experience. The place is so well decorated, and the service is exceptional. We tried a sushi plate and some desserts and everything was good. A little bit expensive, but you are in Monaco so these prices are quite normal.
Ivanna — Google review
Amazing food in the magnificent hotel metropole in Montecarlo! Very good asiatic food and the service was. Dry good and extremely prepared to take care of you transforming in an exceptional experience.
Barbara B — Google review
Amazing food and impeccable service. An expensive meal but an enjoyable experience. The quality of the food was only of the best, you can tell be the look, colour and taste of everything we had. Must visit in Monaco.

In the heart of Monaco, Song Qi offers a unique dining experience with its blend of traditional Chinese cuisine and breathtaking views of Monte Carlo. Located on Avenue Princesse Grace, this restaurant is part of a diverse selection that includes Indian, Thai, Japanese, and Creole-inspired dishes. Song Qi is renowned for its exquisite cuisine, particularly its signature duck dish prepared using traditional methods.
Amazing Asian restaurant in Monaco! The atmosphere is amazing, mimicking both a chinese and japanese style. The food is very good also, they have a lot of options for different prices so the price point varies based on what you order, but they could include some more different vegetarian options. Their desserts are also amazing, the mango sticky rice is definitely the best!
Aurora M — Google review
We come to have dinner in this restaurant. The place is not too big but comfy. They have indoor and outdoor section. We order signature beef black pepper, sweet sour fish, crispy prawn wasabi, bok choi, duck spring roll and lobster wonton. The taste of the food is oke. The price is quite expensive. The service is excellent.
Felicia G — Google review
Visited Song Qi on a Tuesday night and had a wonderful dining experience. The staff was really accommodating, we had walked in at 10:10 and they were due to shut at 10:45 but happily served us. Our server was very hospitable, I forgot to ask his name otherwise I’d definitely mention him in our review. He ensured we were comfortable and everything was served swiftly. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed every bite. We had ordered the Lemongrass salad (veg), Piri Piri Veg sauce, Black Pepper chicken, Edamame rice, Noodles. I’d recommend all these items in case you visit.
Nikhil S — Google review
We dropped by here for lunch 15 mins before closing time and they were nice enough to accommodate us and take our order. The servers were very pleasant and courteous. We ordered everything vegetarian on the menu. The edamame dumplings were fantastic. The vegetarian roll was a little bland for our taste but with the chilli oils and dips we were good to go. We also had the braised tofu and aubergine, stir fried vegetables and the fried rice. The fried rice was absolutely amazing. The curries were a bit dry for our liking but they did give us extra curry/ sauce on the side. It’s a nice and cozy setting with outdoor and indoor options. Definitely worth a visit.
Tanvi S — Google review
Great food and amazing service by Nikolay. I came with my family with 10 of us in total and a large portion of us have dietary requirements (vegetarian and vegan). Nikolay was able to recommend and advise which dishes would be best for us and his service was informative, friendly and efficient. Thank you Nikolay.
Greg M — Google review
Excellent dining experience. Wonderful service, and probably the best Asian resto I've been to outside Asia! We have the dumpling platter, chicken with pepper sauce, sriracha noodles, and the brownie. All very very good! Couldn't recommend enough!
Nicole Y — Google review
Excellent delicious, delicate, dim sum…very expensive (but priced fixed dim sum lunch is a more economical way to go with good variety for $29) but very good! We had a nice variety, shu mai, hok gow, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, vegetable egg rolls (very tasty) a creamy edamame dumpling (such nice vegan options), pork buns and a sea bass dumpling. All were served in steamer baskets and tasted very authentic! Located right next door to the Rolls Royce dealership these dumplings didn’t disappoint!

Best Chinese restaurant in Monaco. The atmosphere both modern and classy. I have ordered chicken corn soup, sweet and sour shrimp, Wagyu beef with fillet with black pepper sauce and mixed vegetables fried rice. The food is so delicious.

MayaBay is a popular restaurant known for its fast and friendly service. While the sushi is decent, it may not be the best you've ever had, but the desserts are surprisingly good. The ambiance is nice with pleasant music, so making a reservation is recommended due to its popularity. The staff provides excellent service and some dishes feature very fresh fish. However, there may be some limitations on certain menu items during seasonal transitions.
Maya Bay never disappoints. This wasn’t my first time dining here, and somehow it just keeps getting better. The atmosphere is always spot-on — elegant yet relaxed, with that signature Monaco edge. The Thai and Japanese fusion is consistently impressive. You can tell the ingredients are top quality, and the flavours are so well balanced. I always go back for the yellow tail sashimi (Thai way) and some prawn curry — both flawless every time. Cocktails are also a standout, with creative mixes that actually complement the food. Service is just as memorable as the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s one of those places I make a point to return to whenever I’m in town. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates a refined dining experience with a bit of soul.
Zoya Z — Google review
The food is absolutely insane! Very very good and tasty! I recommend the sushi! Padthai doesn’t look like the picture, it was good but not as tasty as it looked on the picture! Food wise it’s one of my favourite place in Monaco, however the service is really poor, it’s such a shame! They have everything to be an unavoidable location in the principality but the service is downgrading the place! Cocktails are nice too!
Nicolas S — Google review
MayaBay is the best restaurant in Monaco!!! The service was amazing, the food and flavour — unreal. It was my husband’s birthday, they took care of us and made it extra special. This is definitely the go to place while in Monaco.
Peace — Google review
Absolutely loved my experience at MayaBay in Monaco! The restaurant's unique blend of Thai and Japanese cuisine makes for an exciting dining destination. On this occasion, I opted for the Thai dishes, and they did not disappoint. The Hotpot was rich and flavorful, the Chicken Curry was perfectly spiced and comforting, and the Prawn Pad Thai was absolutely delicious — authentic and bursting with taste. While the portion sizes were satisfying, I personally felt they could have been a bit more generous. Nonetheless, the quality of the food truly made up for it. The dessert selection was also impressive, and I highly recommend the Chocolate Soufflé — a decadent and satisfying end to the meal. The service was friendly but could have been more attentive; it seemed there were too many staff at reception and not enough waitstaff to attend to tables promptly. Despite this small hiccup, the overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely return for the exquisite food and charming ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality Thai dining experience in Monaco!
Will T — Google review
Food is great! Except the Focaccia bread with salmon topping. Overall we were impressed by the food. Cocktails by the glass of champagne was average. The wine by the glass is good enough. However it was marred by a group smoking inside the resto! Such a fancy resto allows a group to smoke indoor even if there's a somewhat opening window but really? The rest of people sitting inside have to endure the smoke. There are many nice restaurants in this area, wouldn't rush back.
Ohayo O — Google review
Great vibes, tasty Asian fusion food and super stylish decor. Everything we tried was delicious. Their crispy duck is a MUST. It’s definitely on the pricier side though ..
Konstantina — Google review
I’ve never written a review before, but after my experience at Maya Bay in Monaco, I feel I have no choice. Honestly, this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, and I’m still in disbelief that a restaurant in Monaco could manage to fail so spectacularly in every single area. I was seated alone and waited 45 minutes just to get a menu. The staff said they thought I was waiting for someone. I clearly stated I was alone at the entrance. Then came the table situation. I was approached three separate times about moving my table. The first two times I politely declined. The third time, they moved me without asking, and I ended up in the middle of the restaurant where people were constantly bumping into me. I couldn’t even sit back in my chair comfortably. I ordered sushi with crab meat. Within the first bite, I found hard crab shell pieces—literal skeleton fragments. I found at least four pieces, and I couldn’t eat the rest of the sushi as you can see in the picture. When I sent the pieces back to show the chef, I was told, “This is normal. We try to clean the crab, but this happens.” No. This is not normal, and at €93 for two sushi pieces and three pieces of gyozas, it is completely unacceptable. I refused the replacement because I didn’t want to risk paying more money for another poorly prepared dish. I will never go back, not even if I were starving.
Eylül K — Google review
The atmosphere, the food, the service are spot on! The place is managed brilliantly by a very able lady. They even do deliveries for when you want to stay at home for dinner. Highly recommend you booking your table as its a very popular, yet relaxing, place.

Cantinetta Antinori is a renowned restaurant that first opened its doors in Florence in 1957 and has since expanded to Monaco, located on one of the world's most beautiful avenues. This establishment is celebrated for offering authentic Tuscan cuisine and the famous wines of the Antinori family. Guests can enjoy a delightful breakfast on the sunny terrace, savor Italian-inspired lunches, experience an aperitivo featuring Antinori wines and live music, and dine by candlelight.
I spent a lot of time here over two days of a conference. The waiters are friendly and funny. The atmosphere is family style but still professional. The food is good and prices are reasonable for Monaco. I will be back!
Jan M — Google review
The food was very good. It is a charming place with a great ambiance. Tiramisu was one of the best I have had in a while. The pizza was great and the salad excellent.
Behnam S — Google review
Cantinetta Antinori in Monaco was one of our very first restaurant experiences here – and ever since, it’s been a place we love to return to. The food has maintained a consistently high quality over the years. The ambience is elegant both outside on the terrace and inside, where live music adds to the atmosphere. Prices are rather on the higher side, but that’s Monaco and you do pay for the quality, the setting, and the overall experience. The service has always been attentive and professional, making every visit a pleasure. We enjoy it so much that we also visit Cantinetta locations in other cities – but the Monaco one will always remain special to us.
Danny — Google review
Generally we had a good lunch but there are a few things that dissappoint a lot: 1) no prosecco in an italian restaurant… you are kidding! 2) do not take spagetti ali olio here… this is an absolute disaster. Extremely spicy. You simply can’t eat it. And nobody said anything in advance. This is definitely not smth you expect Certainly for the price of this restaurant you expect much more…
Kirill A — Google review
Maybe one of the best tiramisu I had in France. It is minute made with fresh and warm espresso and a pistachio mascarpone. It was heavenly. In general the food is good and the service is ok. The atmosphere with the indoor and outdoor settings, beautifully people and live music is very nice.
Mana — Google review
Good food served in this restaurant. Meal is lacking flavor and balance. Menu offers various options for all taste. Staff is nice and friendly. Seatings available inside and outside.
Charlotte P — Google review
Been a few times now to this restaurant for dinner and it was amazing. Manager Marco very friendly and the food consistently very good. Nice ambiance and great location. Branzino highly recommended as well as the pasta carbonara. Keep up the good work!
Marco R — Google review
I attempted to make a reservation via their online system but never received any confirmation or response. After waiting, I called the restaurant to follow up. Unfortunately, the person on the phone seemed confused, said they didn’t understand me, and abruptly hung up. Very disappointing experience, especially when trying to plan a visit in advance. Good service starts with clear and respectful communication—this fell far short.

Nestled in the heart of Monaco, The Niwaki is a stunning Japanese restaurant that captivates diners with its elegant design featuring shoji ceilings and mirrors that create an enchanting sense of infinity. This culinary gem offers a sophisticated menu where talented chefs elevate traditional dishes, showcasing an impressive array of flavors. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of sitting beside the sushi master, witnessing live cooking that highlights exceptional culinary skills and personalized service.
We had lunch here yesterday under the glorious Mediterranean December sun, everything was exquisite and amazingly delicious prepared by the master chef Mr. Shahar Dan. The service was both highly efficient and professional. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated both inside and outside. The overall presentation of the dishes was superb. You can tell that there are real pros in the kitchen that love their art. The taste is what really shines through. Everything is extremely delicious. The lobster tempura as well as the calamari/seaweed/and truffle salad are to die for. The beef and foie gras wonton dumplings are so light and delicious. For dessert the matcha tea and pistachio tiramisu is a must try, incredibly delicious. All in all an absolutely perfect Japanese restaurant that everyone must try !

The best place in Monaco if you want to eat and feel in Japan. The location is great nearby the sea, the terrace is perfect to enjoy the sunset and chill during evenings. Food makes you travel to Tokyo with the flavors of the Miso soup, the bento box are amazing,…and service level is high end. The atmosphere of the restaurant is premium and allows you to really enjoy your time there. Check my pictures & videos.
Renaud M — Google review
I really do like the food at Niwaki. But I think it struggles because the staff seems just very grumpy, pouring your wine at the speed of light, spilling it everywhere, no engagement whatsoever. A beautiful location, good food, but the manager/owner needs to learn about personalized service and kindness to guests to enhance your experience.
Jonathan G — Google review
First time here. Staff were very pleasant and took good care of us. This is an expensive restaurant but it can be affordable through set lunch menu. Water and coffee is included, which is nice. Personally, I would steer clear of the bento box but the ramen dishes all looked very nice.
Vasilisa V — Google review
Absolutely the best sushi I've ever enjoyed. Very, very good service, highest quality food, amazing cocktails. We loved every bit of it, especially the wagyu. Only comment is the lounge tables had awful feet that took up the whole floor. I could not rest my feet comfortably for three hours.
Hannah L — Google review
I want to give 5 stars because food & service was great, but definitely overpriced. If you dont mind paying premium for Japanese food - definitely give it a try. Would say its very similar to a nobu vibe. Got all of the nigiris, miso soup, gyoza, yellowtail hamachi and a yuzu cocktail

I did not like the reception, the day I booked, I asked to sit on the terrace and confirm with me with approval, and on the day I arrived, I sat in the internal sessions, dark and gloomy from the previous year, and the service was bad, the service was very slow Food is good Service needs improvement!!

What a fantastic experience this place was in Monaco… we were hungry during lunch and came across Maya Jah. We checked the previous reviews & entered & we are so happy we did that! Everything from the tandoori, to the biriyani, dal and the cocktails were so flavorful.. also the portion sizes were just right! Yes, this is an expensive place but for the location, the country & the ambience I think it is fair! Will highly recommend this place!

Nestled along the picturesque Quai Jean-Charles Rey, Moshi Moshi is a culinary gem that beautifully marries Japanese aesthetics with Mediterranean flavors. The restaurant's enchanting decor features delicate cherry blossom branches adorning the ceiling, creating an intimate and refined atmosphere. Here, guests can indulge in a unique menu where edamame is drizzled with truffle oil and sushi rolls are elevated with zesty Yuzu from Menton, filled with fresh salmon and avocado for a delightful taste experience.
Moshi Moshi is a frequent of mine. The sushi selection and quality is great, and their lunch menu has good bang for your buck! (Truthfully, might be my favorite sushi place in Monaco) The service can be a bit slow at times, but the chefs are making magic in the kitchen so I don’t mind it. I haven’t yet tried everything on the menu, but will definitely keep coming back to try.
Emma — Google review
It was very busy, so the service was slow and they were definitely overwhelmed. It’s much nicer to sit outside rather than inside, so make sure to let them know this in advance. It’s a pretty small restaurant with limited spaces.
Vasilisa V — Google review
One thing that really stood out was their flexibility. I managed to get a last minute reservation with no problem, which was a pleasant surprise. As for the food, everything I ordered was excellent. The vegetarian gyozas were light, flavorful, and perfectly pan-fried. The KFC had just the right balance of crispiness and a deliciously sticky glaze. And the ramen was comforting, rich and well balanced, exactly what I was hoping for.

Amazing food. Got the Wagyu rolls. Our waiter Sergio in was exceptional. Five stars all the way. Sat on the terrace. Great night. Great views.

I understand Monaco prices, but hoped to get Monaco quality. Unfortunately. Way overpriced. Just beside the corner you get „mass” sushi with the same quality, for half the price.

MOSHI MOSHI is really a treat!! It offers an impressive menu of creative, delicious dishes in a gorgeous/ romantic space. The crispy rice with tuna and the Japanese chicken bites are the standouts for me, while the sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh. Giacomo is a new addition to the vibrant dining scene in Larvotto, Monaco. This Italian eatery offers a delightful experience with its pasta all'astice and a spacious flower-filled terrace. Additionally, visitors can explore Mozzafiato, an Italian bottega by Ricardo Giraudi, known for its delectable caffe con cornetto and l'aperitivo.
The experience at this restaurant was amazing, the view here is stunning. The service was impeccable, our waiter was very kind. The food here was chefs kiss and the chocolate mousse was wayyyy too perfect, the flaky sea salt, the olive oil, I wouldn’t have expected them to go well together but it was utterly divine. Will definitely be coming back next year!

Surprisingly fantastic. We were worried this place would be touristic and would not offer the quality for the price... but the truffle pasta was absolutely heavenly, and the portion was more than generous! The best €30 spent on a truffle pasta ever.... extremely worth it. Staff could be more attentive but they were all very lovely overall.

Amir was the best! Such a nice and friendly server. He made us laugh and really made the dinner fun. The tuna tartare pasta was absolutely delicious. Same with the caprese which was light and tasty. And tiramisu was the best part! So yummy. The view was great as well.

The atmosphere was incredible, service was even better especially our server Mr Daniele, very knowledgeable of the food, culture and a great chat! The view was fantastic, food and wine complementing the entire experience. Couldn't have asked for a better meal with a view! Will definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon!

The most STUNNING restaurant! We sat outside and it was so beautiful however inside looked amazing wish we booked inside just for the decor! The food was so so good. The cocktails weren't served in the glasses advertised but nonetheless was obviously delicious. Servers all super helpful with intolerances and meal advice! Thank you for a lovely meal!

Possibly my favourite place I had eaten in Monaco, views were lovely by the seafront & an interesting menu which had some uniqueness to it. I had Tuna Tartare Pasta which was pleasantly very nice, nothing too out of the ordinary. The service was amazing & it was never forced & never spoke to in an unpleasant manner. I do highly recommend this restaurant a lot. Lovely location, staff & food.

One of the most spectacular dinners I’ve had in a long time! Daniel’s service was exceptional, detail oriented and had great recommendations. I had a solo dinner, a glass of Franciacorta and ordered the tuna carpaccio which was absolutely perfect. Light, fresh and full of flavor and textures. I then ordered two dishes because I had to try more of the menu, knowing I will eat a little and take the rest home. My only regret is that I’m here for a visit and so this was my chance to try some dishes on the menu, instead of being able to come a few times and try other dishes each visit. I came on a Sunday evening. I came over and reserved a table while I went to the beach right in front of the restaurant. It’s recommended to reserve a table, even though I understand they keep a few tables for walk ins. You won’t regret your visit!

This instagramable restaurant is fabulous. A huge amount of thought went into decor, food and presentation. Service was top notch and food was delish! Definitely keep room for the cafe gourmand or the giant ice-cream sundae. Also, a trip to the restroom wont disappoint....

A rare and amazing experience. Friendly and efficient service. Great casual vibe with a mixed crowd. Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Call for a reservation to sit at the bar and watch the chef in action.

Izakaya Cozza is a Japanese restaurant in Monaco that offers an intimate ambiance perfect for various occasions. The traditional Japanese decor, soft lighting, and sound of Japanese music create a charming atmosphere. With lush greenery and shades of blue, the restaurant combines Japanese artistry with Riviera sophistication. Guests can enjoy fusion cuisine that bridges two culinary worlds. The menu features dishes like Ferrari California rolls, chicken karaage curry, bibimbap, sushi, and ramen soup.
Izakaya Cozza is a nice Japanese restaurant in Monaco. We had traditional Japanese plates, it was a great experience for the whole family, I highly recommend it. The staff is top, friendly, and kind, especially with our kids, thanks a lot! The food was excellent and plentiful, the prices are very reasonable, very good value for money.

In their defense, I don't think ramen culture is as big in Monaco as it is in Canada, however my expectations being in such a fancy place such as Monaco is that the ramen is on par. It is not. The service is exceptional with the waiters being friendly and attentive. I also very much appreciated the server going out of his way to ask the chef if they could make dandan noodles for me as they did not have it at the moment but I was really craving it. The seating area outside is laid out nicely but inside was much more comfortable but we were seated outside. Unfortunately I wish I asked as there was AC but it seemed like inside was for reservation only. Foods ordered Shoyu with cha-su - 3/5 Wife (ramen queen) ordered this and found it decent compared to what she's used to. Broth was rather salty and the cha-su actually rather dry which is interesting considering they use pork belly. Noodles for the ramen were very good as they used alkaline noodles that give it that great bounce and texture. Spicy ramen with karaage - 4/5 I ordered the spicy ramen and enjoyed it. It was salty however with the spice, it created better balance than it did for my wifes shoyu. The karaage was fried nicely with the chicken still moist so that was very good. Noodles used were the same as shoyu so props there. Overall a solid bowl of noodles but not up to par with what I'm used to. Bibimbap - 2/5 This was whole heartedly very disappointing. Presentation was very nice and came with plentiful of toppings; however I found that this worked against the dish (complaining about surplus toppings am I crazy?). I actually wish there was more rice added to this as this dish was just too salty. I don't think they took into account that the toppings they add such as kimchi and meat already have a salty component so with the sauce added on, it was just too much. I was craving for a plain bowl of rice to dump on there to balance it out. Exotic cheesecake (mango and passionfruit) - 5/5 Star of our meal, this was very delicious but not like your typical cheesecake where the cake is firm. Maybe it was supposed to be firm and maybe the heat or blowtorch melted it but the inside was barely holding itself together. The top was burnt nicely as creme brulee's should and the middle was extremely light but flavorful of fruit. Graham bottom was thin and delicious. Water being 7euros was criminal but I'm in Monaco so I expected everything to cost an arm and a leg

Arrived there for lunch. It’s about 150m from the Grimaldi forum so it’s quite easy to find. Sat outside as we were told it was full inside - though I saw some free tables. Thankfully the weather was cool enough to sit outside. Had the chirashi - it was ok, not fantastic in comparison to Japanese standards. The wasabi was authentic so that’s a plus. Friendly staff who made us feel welcome.

One of the best meals we had so far while on holiday. My boyfriend and I visited Monaco for a day trip and we stumbled upon this little area. We had three starters that we shared which i strongly recommend: the gyoza, prawn sushi and chicken! For the main: we had beef katsu curry which comes with rice and grilled beef.
Janey T — Google review
Service was great but somewhat too quick with picking up empty things on the table. Food was delicious, but a bit pricy for some portions (maybe have an additional side with it?) If you sit by the terrace, you get all the view of the fancy cars coming by, if thats your thing. Overall was a great night.

Had a lovely dinner at izakaya cozza. We shared their Ferrari California rolls for appetizer. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) then for main, we had the chicken karaage curry and bibimbap. Both were delish! For dessert, we shared the cheesecake. Recommend everything but the cheesecake, it was not a hit. Apart from the food, the service was superb. Everybody was nice and welcoming. Will definitely go back!! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Guests have described it as an unforgettable culinary experience, with each dish being a masterpiece of creativity, exceptional flavors, and refined presentation. The restaurant boasts a sumptuous setting with an elegant and soothing ambiance. The impeccable service is attentive without being intrusive, providing a perfect sensory journey for a special evening.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at L’Abysse in Monaco, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome that set the tone for the evening. The staff were incredibly attentive and provided impeccable service throughout our meal. The highlight, of course, was the exquisite selection of Mediterranean fish. Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing the fresh and vibrant flavors of the sea. We will come back, for sure !!

L'Abysse Monte-Carlo is an absolute gem! If you're looking for a sophisticated yet intimate dining experience, this is the place to be. From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the tone—elegant, serene, and a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional Japanese elements. 🌸✨ The food? Perfection. Every dish is an artwork, beautifully presented and packed with delicate flavors. The sushi was so fresh, it practically melted in my mouth. I had the omakase experience, and it was honestly a journey through the most refined, flavorful bites I’ve ever had. The tuna, the eel, the delicate truffles… everything was just heavenly. 🍣💖 Service is impeccable—attentive without being overwhelming. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what they do, which really adds to the whole experience. I felt like royalty from start to finish. 👑✨ While it’s a bit on the expensive side, every bite and moment is worth it. If you want to treat yourself to a Michelin-worthy meal in Monte Carlo, L'Abysse is definitely the place to go. A must-try for anyone who appreciates fine dining with a twist of Japanese elegance! 🍤🥂

This is definitely one of few restaurants in the world where you can truly discover the Japanese cuisine as it should be. I feel honoured to have that experience. Food - just out of this world, just amazing and even more. Service - the same. Just top of tops. I’m member of SBM since many years, I am local from Mc, but I can say that not all of SBM restaurants have good service (all depends on management on spot). So the team that they built at L’Abysse is just amazing. So far from all other SBM restaurants in terms of hospitality and quality of service. They are the best. And of course their food is just the best in the world (personally for me). The purpose of my visit was a present for a friend. I came to them few days before my reservation to be sure I pay the whole bill in advance (since it was a present). Dear Madame Lea who took my reservation by phone and lately greeted me at the entrance on the spot did everything to make my experience unforgettable. As well as Mister Manager Carlos. When I wanted to pay the whole bill in advance (more than the basic deposit which is necessary to pay and it’s fully understandable), they even refused first, but I insisted. It was so nice of them. When I was at the restaurant, Mister Carlos took care about each guest like it was his own business, very very rarely you can see it nowadays. If you are in Monaco you should definitely come there to get that truly high-end experience. I don’t publish any photos here because I simply didn’t take any. It’s still one of few places in the Principality where people respect privacy of each other. It’s so different from other Monaco restaurants. You can just sit and enjoy your food without any disturbing. Pure luxury. Highly recommended

L’Abysse Monaco offers an exceptional Japanese culinary experience, elevated by high-quality local ingredients. I loved the Omakase menu, which allows you to discover the cuisine of chefs Yannick Alléno and Yasunari Okazaki! L’Abysse is a must-visit for lovers of refined and authentic cuisine.

Hands down the best omakase I’ve had in a long time — and easily the best food I’ve had in Monaco, period. Every bite was a masterpiece. Perfectly balanced, beautifully plated, and deeply thoughtful. You can taste the precision, the freshness, and the love in every course. From the first melt-in-your-mouth bite to the final unforgettable dessert, this was more than a meal — it was an experience. The chef? A genius. The pacing? Impeccable. The vibe? Intimate but elevated. If you’re in Monaco and love Japanese food (or just love food, period), do not miss this. 10/10. A culinary memory I’ll be dreaming about for a long time. 🍣✨

We were heading to Pavilion restaurant next door and accidentally saw this place I think first day they opened. Since this say we were dining a few times and the way they serve sake and sushi is worth every penny I spend. Fish is always super fresh. I would say they are number one Japanese restaurant in Monaco.
