Church
Bath Abbey is a late Medieval church with a Victorian Gothic interior designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. The site has been a place of worship for over 1,000 years and boasts spectacular features such as the decorative ladders of angels on the West Front, inspired by Bishop Oliver King's dream. The magnificent Victorian Gothic interior includes a soaring vaulted stone ceiling above the nave, added by Scott in the 1860s.
Bath Abbey is an amazing place! The majestic architecture, beautiful stained glass, and incredible atmosphere are truly inspiring. The interior is richly decorated, and there is a gift shop as well as the opportunity to light candles. The tour provides lots of interesting insights into the Abbey's history. I highly recommend visiting to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this historic site.

I enjoyed a wonderful noonday service and a lovely tower tour, which is definitely worth doing. The tower tour allows you to see interesting details inside (clock, bells) and offers a great view out over the town and countryside. Shout out to our guide, whose name I cannot recall, but she had only been on the job for a week and was already a pro. The nave and the chapels are beautiful with an especially interesting ceiling. The volunteers or staff managing the line at the entrance could use a primer on welcome and hospitality. Everyone else was a pleasure.
Scott — Google review
I had a great Tower tour experience with the Irish and English guides! It was so fun ringing the bells and learning about the normally hidden parts of this historic building. Thank you!
Wan Q — Google review
We attended the Bath Abbey Tower Tour and had a wonderful time! Lots of steps, you go right to the top of the Abbey (which is quite high from the ground). Incredible views of the city and such an informative tour with Toby & Jamen. Thanks again!
Hannah — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to Bath Abbey, but the highlight was the Tower Climb Tour, held by two highly professional guides who provided plenty of very interesting information and always made sure everyone was following the way. The climb up the tower wasn't that hard, since it was split into stages. The views from above are outstanding (you get a pretty clear view of The Roman Baths too).
Julieta A — Google review
Lovely few hours around Bath Abbey. Pay for entry (worth it) but got a free 1hr tour which was very informative. Also paid for the tower tour, which again takes an hour. You climb 240 odd steps to bell tower, clock tower and onto the top of roof. Tour done by El and Amy (I think) who were friendly helpful and informative. The climb is a bit of a challenge and a squeeze at times but worth it. I didn't do the discovery centre and museum that are also included in the Abbey entry price.
DJ D — Google review
Absolutely fantastic and stunning example of medieval and baroque architecture. Jamen and Jackie gave us the tour and it was totally worth the small donation to be able to take an adventurous and inside tour of this amazing structure. Jamin and Jackie were full of insight information about this wonderful Abby. We got to see and hear the enormous bells up in the bell tower and walk along a winding circular staircase to go up on the roof l! It was quite thrilling!
Mary B — Google review
Well worth paying for the Tower Tour if you can manage the climb. Plenty to learn and see. If not, normal entry fee really good and includes museum below the gift shop, so don't miss going there at the end.

History Museums
The Roman Baths in Bath is a historical site featuring a well-preserved bathhouse and temple with natural spring water. Visitors can explore the museum and enjoy an audio tour designed for kids, immersing them in interactive ancient history. The site offers family-friendly activities including age-specific trails and a children's audioguide narrated by Michael Rosen. Additionally, the Pump Room restaurant within the complex provides an elegant dining experience with a dedicated children's menu.
Visited the Roman Baths on my latest day trip to Bath and it’s definitely a must-see! Initially was a bit skeptical of the high ticket price but once I was inside, I actually thought it was really good value because there’s just so much to see and one could easily spend a couple of hours inside! It’s also great that there are so many indoor elements for when the weather is not great. The staff working there were also lovely and really enjoyed all the interactive elements like the holograms. Don’t miss this on your next visit to Bath!
Adithi S — Google review
A fantastic experience! Really enjoyed exploring the history of the Roman baths and how interactive the museum is. It really immerses you in another world and the main thermal bath pool is gorgeous to just sit down at for a moment in between learning about the history. A free audio guide is also included in the ticket, which was very welcome. Staff are kind and the gift shop has some lovely items, too. 5/5 would recommend when visiting Bath.
Anna D — Google review
It's a great experience. The audio guide is very informative. Remember to pay attention to your surroundings, It's crowded and you don't want to be running into people. We did a guided tour, the information was was just different enough to be enjoyable. The staff was amazing.
Carl E — Google review
Looks outstanding from the exterior, great for a 1 - 2hr visit, but plenty of other places to visit in Bath! The Roman Baths history is fascinating, but what is currently in place didn't meet my expectations. Spend time walking the remainder of the City, it's fabulous!!!
Tim M — Google review
I didn’t expect the water to feel so alive. That green shimmer, gently pulsing beneath the surface, anchors The Roman Baths in something deeper than history. Surrounded by columns and arches, I felt like I was entering a ritualistic healing and sacred space. The museum elements are interesting. Inscriptions, artefacts, and the story of Aesculapius, the Roman god of healing, add layers of meaning and depth. Bath Abbey stands beside the Baths like a spiritual counterpoint. Gothic fan vaults, stained glass and choral echoes. Together, they form a rare pairing - Roman ritual and Christian reverence, side by side.
Josephine W — Google review
The spa is amazingly set out. The free audio phones are really good to listen to information. I loved that the visuals were added so that you were looking at rocks but could see how they would have looked in the day. Plus on the wall videos showing life there. Quite a bit of nudity be warned! The Romans weren't shy! A lovely experience. However, it is a little pricey. I wouldn't repeat it as the cost is a little high. I suppose it pays for maintenance.
Michelle O — Google review
The Roman Baths are a great historical spot for anyone who loves history. You get an audio guide that explains each part as you go, which makes the visit really interesting. However, some tour groups can be a bit pushy and expect extra space, which isn’t very polite. It’s best to go early to avoid long waits. It is a rich fascinating history and enjoyable!
Susan O — Google review
Summarising before my review: • No queue on entry, got in straight away at the time • Even with lots of visitors, it never felt overcrowded or rushed • People were respectful when taking photos, making it easy to get good shots • Beautiful, authentic architecture that feels like walking through ancient ruins • Informative plaques explaining each area/piece • Worth visiting for both locals and tourists • Costumed staff add to the experience and share extra historical insights • Gift shop had a good mix of interesting items and smaller souvenirs Visited the Roman Baths recently and was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I’m not super in tune with Bath’s history, but I can say it was beautiful, insightful, and really relaxing to see. When I went in, there were quite a few people inside, but luckily the queue was empty so I got straight in. Even though a lot of people were taking photos, it never felt crowded or like anyone was in the way. Everyone seemed respectful and willing to wait their turn, so you never felt rushed when taking your own pictures. The architecture was incredible; everything has clearly been preserved to keep it authentic. At times it honestly felt like walking through underground ruins… which, I guess, maybe I was (😂). I’ll admit I didn’t always know exactly what I was looking at, even with the plaques explaining each piece or location, but that didn’t take away from the experience. It’s definitely worth a visit whether you’re local or just passing through. They also have people dressed in period costumes who you can take photos with, and I’m sure if you ask, they’ll share bits of history you might not have known before. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I’m glad I went, and the gift shop had a nice mix of interesting items and smaller souvenirs to take home.

The Jane Austen Centre, located on historic Gay Street in Bath, is a small museum dedicated to the life and times of the renowned writer. Visitors can explore the well-preserved former townhome with a period-costumed guide and view various displays and materials related to Austen's time in Bath. The city itself was a popular destination for the upper classes during Austen's era due to its famous baths, rural setting, and vibrant social scene.
✨ A must-visit for any Jane Austen fan! ✨ I absolutely loved my visit to the Jane Austen Centre - from the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by wonderful costumed actors who bring the Regency era to life. The introduction talk was so engaging, and seeing the Jane Austen waxwork made it feel like she was right there with us! I adored dressing up in Regency costumes and trying my hand at writing with an authentic quill and ink - such a charming touch. And the perfect finish? Relaxing upstairs in the beautiful Tea Room with delicious treats. A magical experience I’d highly recommend! 💕📜🎩☕️

Definitely a Austen lover's place to visit. Informative and fun... delightful character players who were wonderful! Delightful vintage tearoom ... High teas were amazing! Highlight getting to dress up for photos! Highly recommend
Maureen M — Google review
If you're looking for a serious, highly detailed museum experience, this might not be it, but it's not a bad thing. The Jane Austen Centre is an entertaining and whimsical tribute to Jane Austen's life and work, not to be taken too seriously. The entire experience is made special by the staff, who are incredibly invested in their roles. Each of them adopts a name from Austen's novels. Their presentation on Austen is entertaining and full of energy. They make it clear that the goal is fun, not a dry lecture, and they are happy to answer any questions you have about Austen's life, showing a genuine passion for the subject. The interactive elements, like getting to dress up in period costumes and try your hand at writing with a quill, add to the charm. It's a lighthearted and engaging way to step back in time. The small gift shop is also worth a look for unique souvenirs.

We started our trip there - what a way to start. My kids surprised me with a trip for my birthday. The host and staff were amazing - they made the experience real. They dressed the part and their subtle ways of talking was refreshing without being cheesy. Thank you for a lovely day.

We came for the ‘Mr Darcy’s Afternoon Tea’. Glad we called and made a reservation beforehand. The sandwiches, scones, and tea were delicious! The cakes were pretty dry. Nice, quick service and a fun environment. All the staff in the house were kind and happy to chat.

I had so much fun in this little adorable museum. I didn't do any further research about this place before I visited (I only know there is a Jane Austen museum in Bath). That's why I was shocked and impressed when I first saw all their staff dressed beautifully in those special costumes, which made them unreal to me. They are all very welcoming, friendly and charming! There was a lot to experience in the museum, the Austen family history, stuff from or regarding her literature & movies, a short video about Jane which made me emotional, because I noticed that a lot of the background music was from the movie "Becoming Jane" starred by Anne Hathaway and James Mcavoy (one of my favorite movie back in school time). Please stop here and spend sometime for the video clip - it's so lovely. They also offer costumes so you can dress up and take photos (i love that). Do talk to those lovely staff if possible, they shared a lot of stories behind those photos!!
Sheryl Y — Google review
I really wanted to love this place because I came to bath specifically with Jane Austen in mind but it’s small, old, outdated, and it was so hot inside the small room where the tour started. I believe this might be a private business not run by a trust or the city of Bath. For the price, unless you’re a die-hard fan, you can take a picture with her statue outside and explore other parts of the city.
Tanielle P — Google review
I love the whole Jane Austen experience. From the moment you enter, all your favorite book characters come to live, and greet you. The tour was so much fun, ending the museum experience with a try it on regency outfits! The museum experience was so interactive. After touring the museum, I had tea in the regency tea room. It was fantastic. The staff was really polite and helpful. The tea room is adorable! This whole experience made my day ❤️ Thank you for making my Jane Austen dreams come true!

Park
Located on the outskirts of Bath, England, Prior Park Landscape Garden is a picturesque National Trust site created in the 18th century by Ralph Allen. The garden offers stunning views of the city and features a Palladian bridge, three large lakes, and diverse plant specimens. It's a popular spot for romantic outings and even weddings. Accessible via the city's bus network or through the Skyline route, it's an ideal destination to explore while visiting Bath.
Loved this place. Another rational trust site so annual membership recommended. Dogs welcome. The views over Bath are spectacular at the high points. It can be quite steep going and the high view points need good footwear as terrain is uneven. If you have walking difficulties, a wheelchair etc you may find this difficult. Having said that, there are some reasonable paths but you will miss out on some of the high points. Parking is non existent so you need to either find a side street (not easy), catch a bus or walk there. Cafe wasn't open when we went but there is a really nice garden centre just down the main road. Palladium in the lake is fantastic and worth walking down to. Expect to spend at least 1 to 1.5 hours strolling around.
Nick K — Google review
More of a scenic walk than anything. No parking on site or anything very close so bear that in mind. It’s a walk down a hill then up the other side at a gradient of 25% so wear something sensible. Nice little cafe hut at the bottom serving tea/coffee/drinks/cakes with a few tables. Good way to work out taking in the views of Bath.
Donnismonk — Google review
A beautiful spot to tour and relax in Bath. The entrance is an easy bus ride or an uphill walk. Staff and volunteers are friendly and informative. I went at opening time and had the place mostly to myself for a bit and it never became crowded. The walk around the park is nice and worth doing, but not a must-do. My favorite part was sitting in on the reclining chairs reading and enjoying the view and the birds.
Scott — Google review
We walked up the hill to get to the entrance, and it is quite a slog to get up there. However, you can also catch a bus that drops you by the entrance. Staff were friendly and it was quick to buy tickets which were £11 a person. It is a fantastic landscaped garden with stunning views down to the Palladium Bridge and Bath. Well maintained paths and gardens. The paths can be steep in places 25% incline and also a little rough under foot in places. Easy to navigate around, and although there were a few people around, it was calm and relaxed and had a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. Fortunately, having entered at the top of the hill, you come out at the bottom, which was nice. The only disappointment was that by the time we got to the exit, the cafe was closed, so get to the end before 4 pm if you want the cafe 😉 There are clean toilets available at the entrance and exit of the Park
Stuart J — Google review
A must visit for those with a passion for scenic landscapes, steep breathtaking walks and rich historical sites. I enjoyed every second whilst spending the afternoon at Prior Park. The site was well restored a couple of decades ago and has been incredibly well maintained ever since. Palladian Bridge is like something out of an old time movie and makes for an incredible photo opportunity. There is a nice cafe at the end of the park which is well stocked and has outdoor seating to enjoy a little treat after your walks.
Grant S — Google review
Beautiful place went to see the caves, you have to go off track to get to them. And climb up rocks but it was worth it. Toilets in the car park 20p to use them A coffee van for hot and cold drinks Some of it is pushchair friendly depending on how far you want to walk. Apart from if you go off track,( to the caves, turn left after the stepping stones and walk along the river) there is some hills and steps
Carly H — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stunning Views and Timeless Beauty. We absolutely loved our visit to Prior Park Landscape Garden! The entrance fee (£12.90) was well worth it for the incredible views, peaceful atmosphere, and beautifully preserved history. The highlight was definitely the Palladian Bridge — picture-perfect from every angle and one of only a few like it in the world. It felt like walking through a period film set, and we can see why it’s a favourite location for photo shoots and filming. The entire garden is a blend of romantic landscapes, gentle walking paths, and sweeping vistas over Bath.
Abdul K — Google review
This park was like stepping into a period film. If you’re arriving by bus make sure to get off at the station right by the entrance at the top of the hill, otherwise it’s a steep walk up. Palladian bridge was just as picturesque as you’d think. We were a bit surprised by the 11 pound price tag for a park but do think it was worth it.

Pulteney Bridge, constructed in 1774 by Robert Adam, is a picturesque and historic landmark in Bath. It spans the River Avon and is adorned with rows of shops on both sides, reminiscent of Venice's Rialto. The bridge's notable architecture, designed in a symmetrical Palladian style during the Georgian era, makes it a popular destination for sightseers and photographers alike. Its location offers stunning views from Parade Bridge, Parade Gardens, and the weir.
A unique bridge into Bath with shops and cafes right on it! The walk across the bridge is very pleasant, especially the beautiful views of the River Avon and the old buildings of the city. A great place for photos, a leisurely stroll and a quick stop at a cafe. The history and atmosphere is impressive!

A stunning historical bridge with great views of the river Avon. We enjoyed a lovely boat trip down the river with a very informative skipper and a lovely, helpful young man who served hot drinks and snacks on board. It's so refreshing to see a young person working hard rather than sitting in front of a screen all day. We even spotted a heron on the trip. On the other side of the bridge, it's rather odd and ugly looking but unusual and worth a look.
Sarah S — Google review
Absolutely stunning! We had a wonderful meal at a restaurant along Pulteney Bridge, which was such a charming spot with plenty of great eateries to choose from. The whole city felt so clean, welcoming, and full of character. The Georgian architecture is breathtaking, the streets are steeped in history, and everywhere you turn there’s something beautiful to see. From the iconic Roman Baths to the sweeping views around the city, Bath truly captured my heart. I completely fell in love with this city and can’t wait to come back and explore even more!
Melly — Google review
Pulteney Bridge is stunning. Designed in the Palladial architectural stye, a 17-18th century take on classical architecture from ancient Greek and Roman traditions, it is one of only four bridges in the world tonhave shops across it's full span on both sides! I did not visit any of these shops so cannot speak on their quality. I can, however, advise a trip to Pulteney or a nearby bridge with a view of Pulteney at either sunrise or sunset. I did this myself, cycling across a parallel bridge before sunrise to capture a unique view of this wonderful bridge. There it stood ready for another day of supporting vehicles and pedestrians alike in making their journeys between Central Bath and the suburb of Bathwick. Infrastructure is crucial to supporting us in living our lives. When it comes in a form as aesthetically pleasing as Pulteney bridge, it is impossible not to love.
Robert G — Google review
Beautiful historic bridge with lovely views of the river and weir. Great spot for photos and a peaceful walk and a must-see in Bath! Beautiful city full of history and charm. Stunning architecture, relaxing Roman Baths, and lovely riverside walks. Bath is always a joy to explore!
Jaya G — Google review
One of the most beautiful bridges in England. Pulteney Bridge is the kind of place that stops you mid-walk. Lined with quaint little shops and offering postcard-perfect views over the River Avon, it’s stunning from every angle. The Worth It Moment: Standing on the bridge and looking out over the iconic horseshoe-shaped weir — it’s one of those scenes that makes you pause, breathe, and just take it all in. Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — A Bath highlight you’ll want on your camera roll (and probably your wall).
Jonny W — Google review
Gorgeous bridge with a nearby sluice gate and weir, this Iconic structure was built to extend the City without people realizing they are crossing the river, lined by shops and a cafe with river views it certainly is different but so brilliantly built. Just a three min walk from the Abbey and behind the Impressive Guildhall.

The staff member we spoke with was very passionate about the history museum and was very happy to share some interesting insights about the Herschel family and the items on display. The ticket is good for a year after purchase. If you enjoy astronomy, this museum is definitely worth stopping by even if you don’t have a lot of time!

I was only in Bath for 2 days and I’m so glad I went here! It was really great and I would recommend this for anyone interested in astronomy, science communication, or science in general. I read everything there was to read, all the descriptions and notes, and they were so informative. The woman who gave the introduction (I think her name was Charlotte, I hope I remembered correctly) was also very helpful. She was very jolly and energetic and made me excited about going around the museum. I also had some further questions and she answered them enthusiastically. Additionally, I liked the star carpet on the stairs! Please visit the museum if you can, it’s one of the highlights of my quick Bath trip. I wish I had taken more photos.

Very nice place. My 11 year old child liked it. There is a small shop on the territory - you can buy books and souvenirs. An interesting detail - if you buy a ticket for the first time - you can visit the museum several more times during the year with this ticket!!! The cost is only 12.50 for an adult, a child is free.

Visited the Herschel Museum during our day trip to Bath. Hidden away we were greeted warmly by the two gentlemen working there that day. We were told there were no tours however one of the gentlemen took it upon himself to get to know us and show us around each room across all three floors. He was super knowledgeable and answered all our questions. What an interesting life story! Whether you’re interested in astronomy, history, both or neither - this is a fantastic place to spend an hour or so. Could it be Bath’s hidden tourist gem? Quite possibly.

This is a hidden gem that beautifully blends science and history. Set in the former home of William Herschel, discoverer of Uranus, the museum offers fascinating exhibits, a charming period atmosphere, and insights into 18th-century astronomy. The restored rooms, lovely garden, and friendly, knowledgeable staff make it a must-visit for anyone interested in space, science, or heritage.

Small museum but the employee was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history. Lots of cool objects to look at regarding astronomy, and a really fun decorated house as well.

One of the best things we've done in Bath. Beautiful house, extremely interesting. Lovely friendly staff and calm atmosphere and it was just such a delight to learn so much about the Herschels! We need more stories in science like these. Price was fair as well compared to other local attractions. Some really cool things on display as well. Dying to know what a square piano sounds like when played! Oh and they have a toilet!

The Victoria Art Gallery in Bath is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, featuring both historical and contemporary European and British artworks, including pieces by local artists and Gainsborough. The gallery is housed in a splendid Victorian setting and offers a diverse collection of decorative art with continually changing temporary exhibitions. Additionally, the gallery hosts engaging events, trails, and workshops for kids. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the Holburne Museum and Beckford's Tower for a comprehensive cultural experience in the city.
The Bath Artists event is getting better every year. This year the entries were stunning. So many fascinating sculptures as well as the usual paintings. Nearly bought a ceramic vase.

Wonderful little gallery. The permanent collection is FREE to visit, so don't be fooled by what Google maps says - the 'ticket price' is ONLY for SPECIAL exhibits. The permanent collection is of a small size, and absolutely perfect for a 45 minute visit. There are no 'famous' works (though there are 2 or 3 'big names'), and most of the pieces, from across 7 centuries, have a historical connection to Bath. The curation was well-done, with a good amount of information on each piece available on their website, but not crowding each wall. Lots of activities for kids; very family-friendly.

A lovely gallery with friendly docents who offer lots of information about the artists, and the history of Bath. It's not stuffy or stodgy but relaxed and good for the whole family.

A beautiful old gallery of eclectic pictures with exhibitions of contemporary, local artists. I particularly enjoyed the dome with female sculptures and gallery of porcelain and glass.

Pretty place and not overpacked. Lovely paintings of Jane Austen related stuff. Only one room, so a quiet break if you're in the city centre and just want to calm down.
Michelle O — Google review
Having gone to the Edinburgh modern 1&2 galleries. I found this art gallery to be underwhelming and boring of what was on show. Just random paintings of few artists that painted landscapes plus the Abbey which had visited Bath and had those on show. It would be more interesting and more value if the gallery had artists that had a story behind them or the gallery had researched some individuals to ask to put their paintings scalptures on show. The facilities were clean and tidy and kids interaction spot is good. I’m glad I went but no value at £8. I won’t be returning unless have something more interesting to see

This summer there is a small exhibition at the gallery, just one large room, however the collection of posters from Toulouse-Lautrec and his contemporaries is exceptional. Beautiful colours and drawing, and a chance to brush up on your French! Knowledgeable staff and reasonal entrance fee.

Spa
Thermae Bath Spa is a modern spa that offers the unique experience of bathing in natural hot-spring water, including an open-air rooftop pool. Designed by Nicholas Grimshaw, the complex features a striking combination of Bath-stone and glass architecture. Visitors can choose between the sleekly luxurious Minerva Bath with its gentle currents or the smaller rooftop pool offering views of Bath's skyline, especially atmospheric at twilight.
Booked the Twilight for 2 package and visited on Thursday night. Overall very good experience and great value for the price, and we found the facilities to be rather well-maintained. Both the Minerva Bath (on the LG floor) and the Rooftop Bath were lovely, and the water was warm enough but not too hot. We visited on a very sunny day which brought the experience to a whole next level. The sharing platter, soups, and drinks at the café after the 2-hour spa session was also nice.
Barilly L — Google review
I had a thoroughly positive experience at this facility. The premises are well-maintained and efficiently organized. The multi-level structure includes a heated swimming pool on both the ground floor and the rooftop, offering a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The sauna rooms, located on the middle level, are clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend the two-hour spa treatment—it was both enjoyable and deeply relaxing, and a perfect way to unwind. Phone is not allowed inside the picture are from the nice building cross the road.

What a fantastic experience at Thermae Bath Spa! We booked a twilight for two well in advance of our visit to Bath. We had no wait, robes and towels supplied, lockers, and showers available. The pools were all enjoyable and the rooftop pool had exquisite views! Our visit was in April during a sunny day/twilight. So glad we didn't miss an opportunity to enjoy a spa day. We went into the dry and steam saunas, relaxation room, and ice bath. This was our very first stop during our stay in Bath and it really set the tone. Everyone was friendly and helpful at the spa. We ended our evening at the cafe with the sharing platter, soup and drinks. Could not think of a better way to spend our first evening in Bath. No phones allowed! This helped us to immerse ourselves in the experience ♥️
Brenda M — Google review
Thermae Bath Spa is a really relaxing experience and well worth a visit. Ground Floor Reception area and the No.8 Shop. Upper Ground Floor Changing rooms and lockers. First Floor Massage suite, Springs Café and Restaurant where you can get an extra 30 minutes if you spend something, plus a nice relaxation area. Second Floor Wellness Suite with Roman and Georgian steam rooms, infrared sauna, ice chamber and Celestial relaxation room, plus an outdoor terrace. Third Floor The rooftop pool with incredible views, especially on cold days. It is filled with naturally heated mineral rich spring water and kept at a lovely warm temperature. There is also a built in jacuzzi section which makes it extra relaxing. Easily my favourite part of the whole visit. Lower Ground Floor The Minerva Bath is much bigger than the rooftop pool, also heated with natural hot spring water and jacuzzi features built in. The historic Hot Bath is here too, accessed by a sloping corridor. You get two hours spa time with the option of an extra 30 minutes if you use the café, and they provide a free towel and robe which is really handy. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and I also liked that phones are locked away in a pouch until you finish which makes it much more peaceful without distractions. A couple of negatives though. The changing rooms are unisex but not clearly signed which can feel awkward, although there are private cubicles to use. The lockers are also overcomplicated with the wristband system, a simple key or coin locker would be much easier. Overall it is a brilliant way to spend a few hours in Bath and a unique chance to enjoy the city’s famous natural hot springs.
Ayyub C — Google review
If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. It was underwhelming as a spa. The pool, steam room, and sauna were not hot enough. Robes and towels were provided, but no footwear. Also, swim suits required (which is not my preference in a spa). You make a booking, and you’re allowed in 2 hours inside. I would suggest going early morning. Our booking was at 9:30, and by the end of the booking (basically after 11), the place got so packed we decided to leave early. Very mediocre experience.
Alecia P — Google review
Awesome, unbelievable. Honestly after visiting the actual Roman baths within walking distance, then going to this spa with all the emenities that would have been available to the elite back in the day,is somewhat of a transformative experience. Geez, you dont even have to walk to the roof, there are elevators. The water does not smell like sulpher or chlorine, more like a natural fresh warm water pool, temp is very much like a comfotable bath, but the trace minerals are still in the water. Bubbles and jets are interspersed for jacuzzi lovers. Racks for your bath robe and towel are provided at every stop along the way, saunas, steam rooms and large hot and cold sprinkler heads that activate by sensors as you walk through a shower room with Roman style pillars In between. Everything is strickly controlled so the party element is not there, but the joy of all these sensations will make your body thank you. Much more there too, locker rooms super easy to use electonic locks, plenty of staff to help, even blow dryers and swimsuit driers, price is well worth it and once your in, you just get to enjoy. Best of all phones go into wireless individual lock bags, so no annoying blabbers and photos. Everything has been so well thought out, it will be very difficult not feel that sense of fun. Highly recommend!!
Kevin C — Google review
I visited the hot spring in Bath today and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. I paid £42.50 for just two hours and that’s a lot of money, especially considering that in Germany you pay a third of that for the whole day in an amazing sauna! Two hours is not enough to relax; you’re constantly watching the clock. The pools were only around 35°C, which is basically like a children’s swimming pool — definitely not what I expect from a hot spring. A real onsen experience is 40°C or hotter. Also, it’s not textile-free like it normally is in Japan. Everyone wears swimwear, so it doesn’t feel authentic at all. It was loud inside, people were talking constantly, and nobody sat on towels, which felt unhygienic. The “ice room” was just a warm room with melting ice, The shower walkway was a joke: one cold, three warm showers, and always crowded (because there were only 3 other showers). The only good part was the infrared room, but even there, several lights were broken. No cold bath either, which is essential in any real spa experience. And you’re forced to lock your phone, which makes no sense since you’re not even naked. In the end, it’s overpriced, overrated, and feels more like a tourist trap than a relaxing spa. Wouldn’t go again, but for a one time experience you can do it, since it is the only „real“ hot spring in UK.
Joshua S — Google review
Overall, it was quite disappointing. The facilities look modern and stylish at first glance, but beyond the surface, there isn’t much substance. The space feels oddly empty, with large unused areas and features that don’t add to the experience. The sauna, while spacious, is poorly designed — there’s only about half the seating it could comfortably accommodate. The steam room is also ineffective, as the benches are placed too low to benefit from the steam, which naturally rises. The result is sitting in cold, damp air rather than enjoying the warmth and relaxation you’d expect. The main pools are another letdown. The water is only lukewarm, making it difficult to fully relax, and there are no seating perches — you’re left either standing or swimming in a pool that clearly isn’t intended for actual swimming. The restaurant area is uncomfortably cold, which makes it difficult to enjoy a meal or drink for more than a few minutes without feeling chilled. I had high expectations, but the experience fell well short. Anyone who has visited true thermal spas in Austria, Hungary, or Switzerland will likely find this to be a very amateur imitation. And at £40 for just two hours, it’s hard to justify the cost for what you actually get. Only saving grace is that there are no phones or kids allowed.

Oldfield Park is a charming area in Bath that appeals to families and students due to its convenient location and range of amenities. The local train station, while small, has been gradually improved through voluntary efforts. It features two platforms serving various local stopping services to nearby cities. There is nowhere quite like home. This station, only a short distance from the bigger Bath Spa, has certainly been spruced up over time, albeit gradually due to the voluntary work that has been carried out. The station has 2 platforms and is is generally only served by local stopping services to Bristol, Great Malvern and Cardiff (Platform 1) and Bath, Portsmouth and Weymouth (Platform 2). Other locations may be covered at peak times. The ticket office on Platform 1 is open between 6 and 10 am on weekdays only. The station now sports the new standard electronic displays and announcement system, as seen across most of the GWR network. On a gloriously sunny day, this is always a place to observe a spot of wildlife with a foot path passing along the side of the station. The station is also near the main collection of shops on Moorland Road, which is definitely worth a visit. Oldfield park, while small in size, is an important transport asset for its residents.

Not many facilities, but a relatively good stop for West Bath. It can get quite busy, but usually isn't. There are limited shelters, so when rainy it isn't great. The area is quite nice to look at though.

Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House & Museum is located in Bath, and it's known for being the city's oldest house, dating back to around 1483. The house is famous for its association with the creation of the Sally Lunn Bun, a semi-sweet bread that has become a local delicacy. Legend has it that Sally Lunn, a Huguenot refugee, introduced this brioche-style bun to a baker in Bath in 1680.
Lunch in Bath’s oldest house was a great-tasting treat! We ordered the Steak and Mushroom Trencher, and the the Double Bacon savory half bun, pumpkin soup, and the apple cake for dessert. The bread was fresh, the beef was tender and juicy, the bacon was crisp, and the apple cake was delightful. If we live in the area, we’d probably frequent the place. We even bought some of their brioche bun for the road. If you’re the area, check it out! It’s a must-try!

This is one of the first few shops my family and I came to during our first trip to Bath. The place was really lovely, very warm waitress accompanied by warm service, coupled with lovely food that’s not too filling but at the same not too light. Personally, I would say the buns are really unique that can’t be found anywhere else in the UK or back from where I come from in Malaysia. Really glad to have visited this shop with my family during our trip to the UK!

Ordered their english breakfast bun (comes with a pot of blend tea or americano coffee) and double bacon bun. The bun is soft inside but crispy outside, not a bread lover, but like this texture and flavour of bun. Match well with the mushrooms, eggs, bacon and sausages. Sausages might be a bit too salty, eat together with bun then it is fine. Double bacon is just normal, but everything brought up by the nice bun.

Peak pastries in an old building that was started by a French lady? We ordered scones with clotted cream and jam, a lemon tart and traditional tea with the cubes and milk. Tea was kinda watery but hey we got the experience. Scones were good and Huge, tasted so good with the cold clotted cream and tangy jam. Tart in sweet bread was okay, too much bread for our liking and too tart. We also ordered potato and leek soup which was perfectly chunky and leaky— I loved it with the bread yum
Ariel J — Google review
Fascinating history with using the original recipe dating back to the 1600s, and absolutely delicious bun! Very large, with a perfect crispiness on the outside, and incredibly soft & fluffy on the inside. Excellent with the cinnamon butter topping, though I found it a tad too sweet. The service isn't the friendliest, however it's still definitely worth stopping by for a unique taste of history, and a warm, freshly made treat :)
Kat — Google review
Certainly best toasted. Tip 👇 Ordered takeaway of two famous Sally Lunn buns—one with sweet lemon curd and the other with cinnamon butter. Service was friendly, though there was a short wait. Packaging was neat (cutlery provided) and the buns were excellent—soft, light, and delicious. The buns were warm and ready to eat, and the extra we took home microwaved/toasted beautifully. A must-try Bath experience. Tip: go straight to the museum shop in the basement (accessed via a narrow Georgian spiral staircase) to order your take-home bun. The shop has some museum displays and good lighting, but it’s small and can feel a bit claustrophobic.
Onbarefeet — Google review
There were queues up the street, so we were disheartened and wet. However, on the way back we saw it was quieter and went inside. It is a really lovely experience. You eat Bath Buns which are gorgeous, with a teapot and there is a little museum downstairs - not much but adds to the atmosphere. Slow service but they are busy! Well worth a visit.

Didn't think we'd love this as much as we did. The exhibits are interesting and really well laid out and presented. Not too many but a varied enough selection. The free audio guide was also interersting

As the doors will soon close and the fashion museum will be moving my college class as a group decided to visit before it closes. I really enjoyed the range of clothing all in order of year and all numbered with information about the item and also an audio guide available to listen to information about the item as you enjoy looking at it instead of having to read (audio not available on all items). There is an area where you can write on a card what fashion is to you and stick to the wall even a space to draw a dress which is fun although I struggled to find working pens. There is an area you can try on some of the clothing although with very limited choices it would have been nice to have a bigger selection. It would have been nice it the lighting was a bit better as we had some questionair sheats from are tutor and we couldn't really see it whilst walking around. I enjoyed getting to look around the assembly rooms as last time I visited was for a wedding fair with lots of exhibitors so seeing it empty let me really see how impressive the place really is. There is step free access ♿ There is toilets including accessible toilet There is a gift shop All the staff we came in contact with was really friendly and welcoming

The museum itself isn't that large, although the selection of historical clothes covers a broad range of eras. My main reason for visiting was to try on some of the period pieces and I loved every second! I dragged my boyfriend round with the expectation that we'd both dress up at the end, and we did, however the men's selection was really limited. We made the most of it and I'd recommend it, but it would have been nice to have a wider collection for customer use. It was also nice to see the Assembly Rooms which are used in Bridgerton :)

The Holburne Museum, located at the top of Great Pulteney Street in Bath, is a grand Georgian building with a modern extension. It houses an impressive collection of Victorian ornate silver and Old Masters. The museum also features Renaissance treasures, Gainsborough masterpieces, and 18th-century eclectica. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions of both ancient and modern art in elegant surroundings.
The Holburne Museum is a real gem in Bath—both for its art collection and its beautiful setting at the end of Great Pulteney Street. The building itself is stunning, blending historic elegance with a sleek modern extension at the back. Inside, the collection includes fine and decorative arts from the 17th to 19th centuries, with everything from paintings and sculpture to ceramics and silver. It’s a peaceful, well-curated space that invites you to slow down and enjoy the details. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a quiet and inspiring place to visit in Bath, the Holburne is definitely worth your time.

Fantastic museum of old and new paintings well curated in beautiful historic architecture! I enjoyed the ballroom the most; I was also pleasantly surprised to see Rachmaninoff's piano on the too floors and a more modern exhibit curated by Jonathan Anderson. There are some lovely portraits here too, and curious art objects.
Wan Q — Google review
A beautiful space, with lovely views into the streets and pleasure gardens around the gallery building. Contains a mix of permanent collections, curated by the original resident, and new temporary exhibitions. There's also a very nice cafe, with an outside terrace that leads to the gardens, which were the most enjoyable part for me. Mature trees in full autumn colour, integrated Victorian civil engineering history, in the form of the railway line and canal that both pass underneath, and views of the surrounding area of Bath. Sadly, I found the museum entry fee, and the price of everything on sale inside, very expensive, and the art collection, though impressive, simply wasn't to my taste, so I wouldn't return. I'd skip the inflated prices and have a picnic in the pleasure gardens instead.

Recent visit to Bath was excited to see this museum exterior as it’s featured in Bridgerton. Was even more excited to know the day I visited had free admission to the museum. Multiple levels with great art. Only confusion was the Mr Doodle art in the lobby and some modern art in one room that did not really fit the flow of the museum. Staff were friendly and pointed out such interesting pieces. Such a treat to visit.

These gardens are beautiful! Flower and plant lovers and everyone else will love walking through the beautiful gardens. Grab some food and have a picnic. It is not overly crowded.

Big wide open green space good for picnics, sunbathing etc. Great views of the Royal Cresent, but the best and most beautiful part of this park is the separate botanical gardens which are well manicured and full of trees, shrubs and plants.
Miles M — Google review
Superb park with plenty of open green space, views of the famous Royal Crescent, and the beautiful Botanical Garden. A lovely place for a walk, not far from the city centre. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the calming influence of nature. The Botanical Gardens boast an impressive collection of trees, with wonderful colours in October. Facilities include a café, play area and plenty of paid parking. There's also a distinctive historic bandstand. One criticism - toilet facilities were poor when I visited, with several cubicles out of use due to damage, despite a 20p charge.

The American Museum & Gardens, located around 2 miles east of Bath, is a captivating destination for visitors worldwide. Housed in an impressive 18th-century mansion, it showcases impeccable reconstructions of 19th-century American family homes and a vast collection of American folk and decorative arts, crafts, and textiles. The museum also features stunning gardens with a dedicated Children's Garden for young ones to explore nature and American culture.
We went to the American Museum and gardens to see primarily the quilts. The delight is that the whole place is a wonderful place to visit. The museum was very good with some beautiful people and a lovely attention to detail. The room stewards were friendly and helpful. The New American Garden is a delight and very inspiring, plus with the terrace a great place to relax on a hot and sunny day. We enjoyed our lunch from the cafe, and I popped round to the children's playground to see the wagon. It's definitely worth popping round to see. If we'd had our grandchildren with us, they would have loved the playground and for parents or grandparents supervising there a few playground with such a view. If we lived more locally, we would definitely get an annual ticket, but it's a bit far from deepest East Sussex.

We had a great time at the American Museum. There's something for everyone, with a great variety of artefacts on show, from folk art, to reconstructed interiors through the ages. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful and informative. We were pleasantly surprised by the delightful gardens, which we weren't expecting, but really added to our visit. The museum was easily reached from the City centre by bus (alight at The Avenue stop). Whilst not particularly well signposted, the museum was reached by a short 10-15 minute walk along a path next to the road.

A lovely museum with fabulous gardens and walks around the grounds. We enjoyed the space exhibition and having a picnic in front of the house over looking stunning views. The staff/volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable, we learnt a lots about the different periods of American history and loved the quilt room! A great day out!

A fascinating place, especially the basement which has history of the indigenous American people. My husband enjoyed the Space museum too. The volunteers are friendly and informative. There is a lift and the top of the beautiful gardens are accessible by wheelchair.

The gardens and the setting are spectacular, especially the New American Garden. The gardens offer color and interest and are beautifully maintained. It’s a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon. The staff at the entrance/ticket booth are very welcoming and helpful. As an American, I found the collection in the house to be a bit odd and outdated, but kudos to the founders for offering the opportunity to visit and soak in the beauty of this wonderful spot and to the current team for reimagining the possibilities of the landscape. Definitely worth visiting.
Scott — Google review
Before visiting, I didn't quite see the allure of simply a museum. I was mistaken from the moment that I regarded the American Museum as just another museum. Although the cafe is just fine, it's completely overshadowed by the picturesque estate and gardens. Upon entering the museum, I suddenly feel the tinge of root beer in my veins- more American- not just because of the impeccable atmosphere of some of the recreations but because I yearn to sail off to new land, assert my colonial dominance through completely ethical means with 100% no ethnic cleansing and build millions of American Museums and Gardens, which will certainly 'civilise' the land. Thank you for creating this beautiful sanctuary.
Finn C — Google review
Really enjoyed the day here. We spent several hours enjoying the gardens, the museum and the space exhibition. The accessible routes round the garden and museum were very helpful. There is a lift in the museum to get you up to the first floor and down to the lower floor. The toilets were clean and tidy and the cafe served good food and drinks suitable for all ages and tastes. The views from the terrace are lovely in the Autumn. There were also fun activities laid on for children in half term.

Bath Skyline offers stunning hilltop views of the city rooftops and is a World Heritage site that can be accessed via a 6-mile trail through meadows and woodlands. The route takes you through various landscapes, including meadows, woodlands, 18th-century follies, secluded valleys, ancient Roman settlements, and an Iron Age fort. Starting from Bathwick Hill, the 6-mile circular trail provides breathtaking views over Bath with various viewpoints along the way.
Gorgeous views. This is not to be missed. Our favorite part of the walk was stumbling upon the gorgeous canal with the locks on the way up. This walk was most definitely our favorite part of the day. We went in the evening after all of the crowds had left for the day and it was lovely and not crowded in the least. Views for days.

The Bath skyline walk is fantastic 👌 It not only takes you out into Beautiful countryside but also gives you fantastic views over the city of Bath. The route is about 6 miles and took us about 3 5 hours although we weren't speedy. Keep an eye out for the yellow direction arrows and you will be fine, although there are a couple of areas where there are no markers for a bit. Spectacular views and we kind of wished we had taken a picnic but sadly we didn't. The route can be steep up and down hill in places and there are a few sets of steps. Also the path especially through wooded areas can be uneven and rough under foot and there are a couple of obstacles to navigate, but then this is a country walk. The paths around Claverton down are very flat and easy under foot. Was nice seeing they were restoring dry stone walls. Definitely wear sensible shoes and take water 👌It's a good route and has stunning views, if you take small children expect to end up carrying them. Probably not suitable for people unsteady on their feet. Definitely worth the experience and we walked back to the city centre along the canal.
Stuart J — Google review
Great free experience. Walkable just bring sneakers. Slightly uphill. Park on side of the street if you one by car. Very peaceful and you get a vast grassy expanse view with the city skyline to the far distance.
PHOEBE C — Google review
The Bath Skyline walk offers absolutely stunning views of the city. You can see the entire skyline of Bath, and it’s truly beautiful. The walk is peaceful and offers a lovely escape into nature. Definitely worth the visit!
Priyantha L — Google review
Great viewpoint overlooking the elegant city of Bath, forming part of a 6 mile walking trail taking in city streets and rural surroundings. The full walk takes over 3 hours to complete, and is rewarded with great aerial views of the city's most recognisable landmarks. For a shorter walk, one of the best viewpoints can be accessed from the gate to the east of Prior Park Landscape Garden. This spot, on a steep hillside in an area of limestone grassland, offers one of the finest views of the Bath skyline and surrounding wooded hills. It's also a good place to see wildflowers in spring. There's no official parking for the Bath Skyline walk, but it can be accessed on foot from Bath Spa railway station in around 25 minutes.

I've been visiting bath skyline walk day for some years and still not managed to do all of it (a combination of old legs and British weather may be involved). This is a stunning place to visit and it's free to participate. There's extras which are payable should be curious.

Great activity for the day. A bit of a climb , stairs, road or hills depends on the route you take. On the way you will most likely pass by the canal system, worth a look. The canal has its own walk as well, which I found even more scenic.

We did a 13km bath skyline hike loop from Town. It’s a lovely varied hike of 310m elevation gain that you can find on Komoot. Shade and sun with great views! Hiking early July on a weekday was lovely and quiet. Lots of wildlife - a muntjac deer, swallows and butterflies.

Fantastic Museum opposite the Assembly rooms and just off the Circus. Staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and informative. There is a wonderful collection of artefacts displaying how skilled the craftsmen were, with some stunning and beautiful pieces on display. The displays are well laid out, and there is plenty of information about and The staff are willing to help and advise. Some of the pieces are truly ancient. It's definitely worth a visit just a few minutes from the city centre by foot.

A nice museum with artifacts from East Asia. At the time we went they had a separate section dedicated to Dragons to mark the ‘Year of the Dragon’ according to the Chinese calendar. The museum staff and the volunteers were extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful. They even offered us to keep our backpacks with them while we explored the museum. At the time the entrance ticket for students were under £4, which is extremely worthy given the history and artistic value of the place. They have a shop by the reception, and a toilet in the basement as well.

Absolutely lovely experience, we went for afternoon tea and it was my wife's birthday, the live pianist played happy birthday and they bought her out a little cake 😍 The setting is glorious and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend.

We came here for brunch/breakfast. I had the poached egg with salmon which was lovely. We also had two cocktails. The atmosphere is nearly like from a fairytale especially with the pianist playing. Definitely recommend to anybody.
Martina S — Google review
Went for the tea menu at 12 noon. The atmosphere was great! The high ceilings and classical music really add to the ambience. Huge applause to the pianist who played for an hour! The music was so so good! The tables are spaced out very well too, so it made the experience very private. We felt that the green pea savoury bites were super good, wished there were more! Scones were pretty standard. And the raspberry shortbread dessert bite was super good! Jane Austen tea was really good! Tasted like earl grey with earthy notes and a tinge of rooibos flavour at the end. You can get a glimpse of the Roman Baths from the pump room too!
Gwen — Google review
My daughter and I had the most wonderful experience having tea at the Pump Room! Some reviews I read had been somewhat concerning regarding the quality and freshness of the food, but we found everything exceptional and delicious. Thank you for an amazing afternoon treat, in every regard!

The afternoon tea experience was enjoyable. I did find the setting a bit crowded, and the other guests tended to the T-shirt wearing type. Nonetheless, the service was good and the food was excellent. The Pump Room is beautiful and imbued with history.

I booked a Jane Austen Afternoon Tea for a party of 4 midweek and we loved every minute of the experience! From the entrance all the way to our table the service and staff were outstanding. The live music was a great touch. The menu looked good, but I have to admit, the food and drinks were not AS delicious as some of the other tea times that we’ve had. The Darcy cocktail sounded so promising but was a bit too bitter and flat. What you are paying for is definitely the ambiance and location. You feel like you’re sitting in a room full of so much rich history that I would’ve paid 2x more for this feeling. You’re also able to taste the spring water from the King’s fountain in this tea room. We loved it very much and would certainly book again.

The Theatre Royal, Bath is a stunning Georgian playhouse adorned with plush red and gold décor. It was built in 1805 and is considered one of the most important examples of Georgian theatre architecture. Over the years, it has hosted performances by renowned actors and continues to captivate audiences with a diverse range of entertainment including drama, West End productions, opera, comedy, and dance across its three auditoriums.
Very friendly staff and a wonderful performance of Emma on the last weekend of the Jane Austen Festival! Even if ( 🚨 spoiler alert!) the iconic line ‘if I loved you less I could talk about it more’ was missing, 🚨 spoiler over! it was a really funny and heartwarming adaptation of a beloved classic, with a very talented cast. The merging of Harriet and Mrs Bates’ characters was cleverly done and giving her character more autonomy was a refreshing twist. The theatre itself is wheelchair accessible, however the accessible bathroom is quite tight to navigate, and the lift is tricky as you have to hold down the buttons for the entire journey which is not accessible for lots of conditions.
Blossom — Google review
I really enjoyed "Small Hotel" featuring Ralph Finneas! I was able to purchase tickets on site about twenty minutes before the performance, and the view from the top level Grand Circle was still great. Thank you!
Wan Q — Google review
Went to see little women with my friend, straight in seats aren't bad, leg room for those of us that are a bit taller isn't the best. The theatre itself is in good keeping. The bar is usual bar prices for that kind of place although cash isn't accepted and its card only. Overall a nice experience
Dan J — Google review
It was a besutiful theatre. We watched Emma. The acting was superb, as was the production. Comfortable seats, and pleasant theatre experience.
Miriam ( — Google review
Small but very atmospheric and attractive theatre...we went to see Death on the Nile...great acting, super light work bringing the stage and acts to life...we had seats in stalls, row J - very good view. Couple of small bars with seats - beer, wine and soft drinks available.
AGa — Google review
I love the Theatre Royal, Bath but it can be a bit pricey. Being one of the oldest working theatres in the country does come with its downsides, with pillars restricting views and seats without much leg room. However, it is beautifully maintained and staff are friendly and helpful and I have enjoyed many outstanding performances here. I recently attended Samuel Beckett's Endgame in the smaller, more intimate, Ustinov studio which was exceptional. Highly recommended. There is a useful page on the theatre website detailing accessibility information. I'd just like to see better concessions as there isn't much difference between full price and the concession tickets.
Kate S — Google review
Sigh. The performances here vary but I've seen some great stuff. However the venue is another over rated ancient building with many poor sight lines and uncomfortable seats. It's reputation probably arises from those who can afford centre stalls. It would be better to rebuild it. There are some very fine modern theatres.
Martin G — Google review
We took my daughter to see Ballet Rambert last night as part of a present for her 30th birthday. The performance was amazing. A wonderful experience that was then completely ruined by the rude and disrespectful theatre staff hurrying us out of the auditorium. One member of a staff was banging on the door of the female toilet whilst my daughter was in there. The performance started at 7:30pm and was advertised to have a running time of 1 hour 30 mins with an interlude. Including the ushering out, the banging in the toilet door and my complaining twice to the manager. We still left the theatre at 9pm. So nobody could accuse us of dawdling. To add insult to injury, while I was speaking to Jack the manager, he continued to keep his ear piece in his ear and was totally distracted and uninterested. No apology, no care, no interest. Some serious customer service training is needed. Tickets are not cheap and in a period of time when money is scarce, this is not the way to encourage people to the arts. I am beyond disappointed.

The street offers picturesque views of Sydney Place, Bath street, cobbled alleyways, Abbey Green, Sydney Gardens, Widcombe Terrace, The Circus, Royal Crescent and St Marys Buildings. Dukes Bath on Great Pulteney Street provides lodgings with period antiques and complimentary breakfast.
An impressive street of elegant buildings dating back to the Georgian period. Approaching from the city centre, you'll first cross the iconic Pulteney Bridge. At the far end of the street is the Holburne Museum. This street is one of Bath's most attractive, lined with fine houses sporting tasteful architectural details. The wide road and pavements create a sense of space, while the trees and fountain add to the street's agreeable character. There's roadside visitor parking available for up to 2 hours in this area - rates are fairly high as expected but it's a very convenient location for the city centre if you can find a space.

Beckford's Tower and Museum, a neoclassical tower built in 1827, offers scenic views and art. It was commissioned by William Beckford as a place of tranquility away from society. The tower houses Beckford's furniture, paintings, prints, books, and other interesting objects related to his life in Georgian England. Visitors can climb the spiral staircase to the Belvedere for panoramic views.
Beckford Tower is on the edge of the city so quite out the way but definitely worth a visit. Built by William Beckford as part of his landscape gardens to keep part of his collection of art. It is set in a beautiful location overlooking magnificent countryside. Indeed from the top we were able to see the White House at Roundway Hill Devizes which was amazing. We had booked the lantern tour as well as standard access which allowed us a guided tour right up in the top of the lantern. The gentleman who was our guide was friendly and informative. The architecture of the tower is spectacular especially the winding staircase to the top. It was good to be able to see some of the architectural details and restoration. If you decide to go up to the lantern remember there are alot of steps! The Lansdown Cemetery has taken over part of the original landscaped gardens, and William Beckford was the first burial in the new cemetery which was established after his death, the cemetery is interesting in itself and if you follow the main path it leads to the Grotto. We were delighted to see a coffee van by the Grotto entrance which was delightful 😊

Fascinating building full of history. Hard to find the very small car park, there are 2 to choose from. We parked by the grotto as we missed the sign for the one at the tower as from the road it looked like someone's driveway, disabled parking at both car parks. The cemetery is interesting to have a wander around. A bonus is that your ticket is valid for the Year so we can return befor the end of December. We counted 154 steps up to the tower....well worth it for the views!

I have been wanting to visit for a while and finally got round to it. I'm glad I got to visit and have a look around and go up the tower. I had a nice chat to the friendly member of staff who was working on my visit she seems really knowledgeable of the building and its history. We had a talk about other parts of Bath which was nice to pass on stuff I know about other local places. The museum is really interesting with lots of information and things to look at. Going up the tower was fun but a long way up but once you're at the top the views are amazing although on my visit it was hazy out so limited how far you could see but still great views. It's really worth a visit. There is no step free access to the tower or museum. The cemetery is worth a walk around there is Beckford's grave here aswell.

No. 1 Royal Crescent is an 18th-century Palladian-style townhouse that has been transformed into a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into life during the Regency period in Bath. The museum features elaborate period room displays and fine art, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the Georgian era. Through restored townhouse furnishings and a soundscape of imagined conversations between family members and staff, visitors can gain insight into the concerns and lifestyle of that time.
Didn't realise the ticket is valid for a year (bonus!). An charming house that brings you back in time. There is an amazing view of the green space and that made me wonder - what kind of luxury life they were living!! I love how they led you to each room and shared the stories behind. I have heard a lot about Victorian but this was the first time that I learned something about Georgian! Great experiences here!

A lovely museum showcasing Georgian architecture and period interiors. The recorded narrations can be a bit odd to naviguate in sync but are quite interesting. Thank you!

The best museum I’ve ever visited! Highly recommend listening to the audio stories in each room! It really makes history come alive! Love it!!!

Highly recommended for a well produced and informative museum about the Georgian period in Bath. Bathrooms, a gift shop, and WiFi were also available. We walked up early in the morning and were able to buy a ticket at that time. It may be advantageous to book ahead for your preferred ticket slot.

An unexpected find on The Royal Crescent but what a gem. This feels like the family just stepped out and are expected back any moment. Its charming and very different to find a place so vibrant, carefully curated to feel as if you have just gone back in time to how bright and beautiful such a house would be. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, which really adds flair to such an establishment. The 'slice of life' audio/visual story complimented the house perfectly!

Wonderful way to see first hand how the upper classes lived three hundred years ago. One of thirty three apartments restored to how it might have looked then, with explanations of servsnts' lives as well. Worth the visit! Closed Monday.

It was a really fun experience with the family. The house is set up beautifully, with projections and audiovisuals about 18th century life in the house. There are some dress up areas for kids and a wonderful gift shop. Kids are free. Highly recommend.

Fine dining restaurant
The Olive Tree Restaurant, located within The Queensberry Hotel in Bath, is a standout dining destination with its Michelin-starred status and elegant setting. Executive head chef Chris Cleghorn curates a menu that showcases locally sourced seasonal British cuisine with Mediterranean influences. The restaurant offers an array of tasting menus including options for vegetarians, pescatarians, vegans, and those who prefer dairy-free dishes. Diners can expect creative preparations of ingredients sourced from the local area.
My husband and I went for supper last weekend for our first wedding anniversary. We were seriously impressed on all counts, the food was inventive and delicious, the service was friendly but not intrusive and the chefs coming out to explain the dishes was a nice touch. We haven’t had a Michelin star meal of this calibre since Roots in York- in our opinion we finally found a restaurant to rival it. Truly an exceptional experience, don’t hesitate just book! Thank you for a lovely evening!
Octavia S — Google review
Good standard for a 1 star. Manager in shift felt a bit disconnected or odd if I may say. All the waiters were professional and attentive. Wine was delicious and well recommended. We had the 3 course set with amuse bouche and petits fours, flavours were different and interesting, chefs coming to the tables was refreshing to see and well executed. It left a bit to desire on actual course size and time that it took for us to finish our meal. It was all too quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite nice. I would just say the walls were missing some extra decor. Overall good experience, though for the price paid it left a bit to desire.
Dinis A — Google review
An instant favourite. Great food and service, spacious tables, lovely atmosphere. Reasonably priced for 2025: £70 for three courses. Interesting crab with tomato essence segued to amazing bread and clotted cream - I asked for a second helping. Lobster was so tender and fresh and raspberries were a great balance against the heavy food. Wine was £9 a glass. What a fantastic experience
Yin H — Google review
We booked a stay at the charming Queensbury Hotel during a visit to Bath last weekend, and thought it would be great to sample the only Michelin Star restaurant in the city, which is in the hotel. The restaurant is on the lowest floor bit is light and airy and tastefully decorated - though the lighting was a little too bright (especially the spots), for a cosy dinner and didn't flatter the presentation of the dishes unfortunately. We opted for the 5 course taster with a wine pairing. (We were already in the hotel, so no need to drive, do why not?). As expected the food was great with beautiful flavour combinations, perfectly executed. The wine pairing really added to the dishes, though the wine portions were a little meagre. The service was also great from a very young staff, though sometimes their presentation and descriptions of the dishes seemed over rehearsed and unnatural. But I'm sure confidence will shine through soon enough. All in all a very satisfying Michelin Star dining experience.
Simon T — Google review
We almost cancelled our booking because of a recent review but we are so glad we went. The food was delicious and full of rich, balanced flavours (the pictures online really don’t do it justice). Every dish was beautifully presented, and both the vegetarian and meat options were packed with taste, creativity and quality. The team was professional, polite, and attentive, and the restaurant itself is stylishly decorated with a warm atmosphere. Having eaten in several Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, we can confidently say this restaurant deserves its star. The only slightly odd thing was the bread being served in the middle of the meal instead of at the beginning — but it was so good that we did not care about the choice of sequencing in the menu. We recommend this restaurant if you enjoy good food!
W — Google review
Michelin star restaurant. Innovative, flavorful. 7 course tasting menu was made gluten free. Each course was beautifully plated, with complex combination of flavors that was impressive and delicious. Highly recommend. For smaller appetites, I recommend choosing 3 or 5 course options.
Susan W — Google review
Love when places of this quality do vegan menus. It didn't disappoint at all! Beautifully presented, incredible tastes and service was amazing. From a vegan food perspective, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vegan fine dining experience.
Lewis C — Google review
I really wanted to like the Olive Tree but this is not Michelin star dining. Most courses were either underwhelming, bizarre or just unpleasant. The trout was flavourless and it had a pin bone left in it. The rye bread, which oddly came four plates in, was a basic bread roll. The raviolo had so much going on that it was completely lost, and the plate included some sad wedges of leek that were truly bleak. The "islands chocolate" had so much olive oil and balsamic that it was like a mouthful of salad. The raspberries were just frozen raspberries in pieces with some meringue atop a flavourless "tonka bean" mousse. The food is pretentiousness with no substance. The staff are also a little bit too inexperienced to be able to deliver the level of service you should expect when you're paying upwards of £200 per person and they deliver every course with a level of theatre that only much, much better food can justify. Honestly, save your cash.

Designed by the renowned Georgian architect John Wood the Elder, this scenic spot offers visitors the perfect setting for picnics or leisurely breaks.
I had an amazing time at Parade Gardens in Bath! The entry was completely free, and the views were absolutely stunning. The park is filled with an array of cool sculptures and statues that make the whole place even more interesting. The scenery around the gardens, coupled with the beautiful architecture of Bath, really takes your breath away. Plus, it’s incredibly clean with no litter in sight – perfect for a peaceful and relaxing visit. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

Free entry, set down away from the traffic, and carefully maintained, it’s a hot-spot in the summer heat, but otherwise a delight to spend a little time walking around. The river nearby adds a Danubian quality. There were horse and cart rides nearby, near the Abbey, if you want to get moving without moving.

A small but incredibly cosy garden that exudes warmth and tranquillity. Despite its compact size, it is well thought out and beautifully maintained. Colourful flowers bloom in neat, bright bunches, filling the air with subtle, pleasant scents. There are various unique sculptures scattered throughout the garden, each adding its own charm and artistic touch to the space. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a moment of peace away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is obvious that a lot of effort and love has been put into creating this serene, inviting corner of nature - a true hidden gem for those who appreciate beauty and tranquility.

I very much enjoyed the small plates menu with my partner at the Beckford Bottle Shop along with a few glasses of wine each. Our server Travis was very knowledgeable and attentive. He provided us with some great recommendations and really added to our experience. Needless to say, there is a huge selection of wine. The food surpassed our expectations - we enjoyed wine but would go back again for the food too!

My partner and I sat outside in the sunshine yesterday and were served by Josh. He was really knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide between a few different items we were stuck on. He truly enhanced an already wonderful experience! Thanks again Josh! The food was absolutely delicious, flavours perfectly balanced and dishes arrived to the table staggered to ensure we were not over faced. A definite highlight of our trip to Bath!

We enjoyed a fabulous light lunch accompanied by outstanding service. The menu offered an excellent variety of dishes, but we chose the anchovies on toast, English peas on focaccia, and Cornish hake with carrot purée. The rhubarb crème brûlée was a triumph– one of the best desserts we've had in quite some time. A true hidden gem!

Lovely place with great food & beautiful wines! We had the charcuterie board with some delicious bread one evening (definitely recommend). But the highlight for sure was (on a different evening) the venison bavette; just perfection with courgette fritters! Must go when you visit Bath!

The museum features an array of historical maps, models, designs, drawings, videos, paintings and tools that vividly narrate how 18th-century architects and craftsmen contributed to this remarkable evolution.
Nice small museum about the building of Bath. Only a short walk from the city centre was not busy, so there was plenty of space to slowly wander around. Interesting photos and models. Great for anyone into architecture
Stuart J — Google review
This is a small but very thorough museum that covers the building of neoclassical Bath. It ranges from the initial surveying and financing of the building, through the challenges of steeply sloping terrain, and includes the work of masons, carpenters, joiners, roofers, glaziers, plasterers and onward to the elegant final flourishes. I ended my visit with a greatly deepened respect for the variety and complexity of skills that went into 18th and 19th Century construction.
Katy V — Google review
I really enjoyed this museum, though I'd have felt put out if I'd paid full price. With an art pass it's £3.50 which I think is okay, but £7 for a museum this small is too much. That being said, the staff are excellent and the museum itself contains plenty of information. I am hugely interested in the Georgian period and love Bath as a historical city, and its architecture is a huge part of that. It's small and compact, and you could spend 1-2 hours there (I only had 1.5 hours and I was rushing, but I read everything). If you enjoy architecture, particularly Georgian, you'll enjoy yourself and it will be worth it, but if you are just passing by you may feel bored and as though you were overcharged.

It would be best to put the exhibities on Bath railway station wall for people to enjoy reading while waiting for their trains or new arrivals to Bath (the exhibits won't take time to read). Visitors can enjoy nature hunts and trails that lead through fields, meadows and woodlands with picturesque views of Bath. The farm also features a delightful children's playground and an amphitheater for community events.
It has a lovely cafe with delicious produce on Sale. Small shop. Sitting areas in and out. Polite kind staff. Lovely location. The farm has various animals. Great for all ages. Not easy to access all areas in wheelchairs. Steep and slippery. Fruit and veg is growing here by volunteers and people using the services here. Sham Castle is a picturesque architectural folly resembling a medieval castle, built in 1762 by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen to enhance the view from his townhouse. Situated below the university campus on Bathwick Hill, it offers stunning vistas of Bath's towers and spires. Visitors can embark on a circular route from central Bath to Sham Castle, passing through woods and meadows while enjoying views of Prior Park and the American Museum.

This is a great viewing point uptop the hill. It offers panoramic views of the Bath city and is situated at the end of the trail. The Bath Golf Club is right next to. Parking is on a street a few meters down and before you reach the spot. Google maps took us to Golf Club parking which is reserved only for members. This is a free to visit place, and there are no food options nearby. The Golf Club has a restaurant on site that may cater to you on week days when the place is not busy - phone in advance to check.

Quirky little folly up a fairly steep (but short) walk from the canal, with a peek-a-boo view of Bath. A good way to get your blood pumping. Free, public access via public footpaths. However, a much more expansive view of Bath is found at the Bath Skyline viewpoint, which we passed on our walk up from the canal.
Michael T — Google review
A free attraction where you can get some beautiful photos. Unfortunately, it has a bit of graffiti around it, but that doesn't affect its beauty from a distance. You can catch some great views of Bath if you explore nearby. As far as I could tell, there's no specific parking for Sham Castle, we parked in the area right next to it which I assume is for the golf club. The road leading to the golf club is narrow in places and busy at certain times, if you're inexperienced, don't let it worry you, we did it in an SUV and had no issues. It's a nice little place to spend an hour or two exploring.
Mickey L — Google review
Stunning view of Bath, a lovely hike up. It's a gorgeous looking castle wall on the top of the hill overlooking the city, and even though it's only the front part of the castle it is still very pretty and impressive! Be prepared for mud and sore muscles though! Free to see, free to walk around the country, nobody there. Really just a nice place for people to walk their dogs! Definitely worth the trek if you are into castles and views.
Julia D — Google review
Has an amazing view at the top but not sure if its worth visiting for the castle … we spend less than 5 minutes. May get a better view of the city at night. [ right next to the golf club ]
S K — Google review
So it’s not exactly a ‘castle’ but there is a great view over Bath from here. It’s kinda one wall of a castle which is a tad random but it’s worth a look I guess if you’re in the area. It’s right next to a golf course up a steep hill. There is parking right next to it so it’s easily accessible and it’s a good high up view of the city.

Green Park Station is a beautifully restored Victorian railway station. It contains shops, offices, restaurants and a market space that houses markets each Saturday and Sunday. I visited on a Friday when there was a fantastic street food event taking place. There were 8 different traders offering amazing street food including tacos, burritos, chicken and falafel wraps, fresh salads, rice balls, Filipino, Chinese and also steak ciabattas. Well worth a visit for some wonderful street food.

I know of this place as the now closed railway station terminus of the Somerset and Dorset railway which closed to passengers in 1966. Its now a community space with restaurants, some pop up stalls, a record shop and hairdressers. There is a big open space in middle where a market is held. Its really pleasing that the building hasnt been converted into upmarket flats. There is a Sainsbury's nearby if you wish to buy some provisions and use their toilets!

Nestled in the heart of Bath, Komedia is a vibrant club venue that brings together the best of live entertainment. This community-owned gem, housed in a beautifully restored Grade II listed former cinema, hosts an impressive array of over 400 events each year. From side-splitting comedy and captivating music gigs to engaging cabaret shows and family-friendly activities, there's something for everyone at Komedia.
The vintage explosion were a fantastic band what a talented set of people. The venue added to the vibe with the building having ornate ceiling detail and the charm of a smaller venue. The balcony chairs were comfortable and gave a great view of the stage. We will def be looking to follow vintage explosion and see them again if you get the chance don’t miss you going to one of their gigs or following them on Spotify

1st time there, won't be the last. Staff were so helpful from booking our tickets through to end of the show on the night. Bar is at back but stage still visible, seats available in the bar area upon request and availability. The sound and acoustics were spot on on the night. Would we recommend Yes we would.

I had a brilliant night at Komedia seeing a tribute act for Adele, Naomi Johnson. She is an excellent singer supported by her brilliant backing singers and band. The evening was fun, interactive and a joy to experience. I will be looking out for her act when they next visit the area. Definitely want to see them again. My whole family enjoyed it. My son who is in his teens, me in my fifties and my mum who is over 70! Truly a stunning evening ✨

Had a fantastic time here seeing Shoot From The Hip. It was only November 2 so the Halloween decorations were still up, giving it a kinda spooky atmosphere. The show was incredible, I nearly cried laughing at the four of them. Would (will) go back if they're ever back this way again.
Shannon B — Google review
Great venue and Adam Kay was as entertaining as ever. The only downside was during the Q&A – it would have been really helpful if audience members asking questions had been given a microphone, as we couldn’t hear anything from the balcony. Otherwise, a fantastic night!
Trisha G — Google review
Had a fantastic experience at the Komedia, not seeing comedy or for a night out, but a very wonderful talk by author Natalie Haynes in association with Mr B's Emporium of Books as part of her tour promoting her latest book 'No Friend to This House.' Just shows how versatile the venue is, and the staff were very friendly.

We always enjoy our visits to Komedia Bath - it's a great venue for gigs, comedy and parties. This time it was comedian Geoff Norcott with his Basic Bloke 2 tour, and another great evening. The team at Komedia are always really friendly, the venue is relaxed and the gigs always top notch. And Geoff was excellent, combining his observations on the news with the role of men and women, being a dad and loads more.

Lovely venue, friendly staff and happy vibe. Very organised entry and leaving. First time visiting and Would definitely return.

43Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein

Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein is a museum and immersive visitor attraction located in Bath, where Mary Shelley wrote the first science fiction novel, Frankenstein, in 1816. The four-story historic property offers an award-winning experience that delves into Shelley's unconventional life and the enduring legacy of her infamous creation. Visitors can explore vintage artifacts, experience the sounds and smells of the Frankenstein era, and encounter an 8-foot animatronic representation of the iconic monster as described by Mary Shelley.
I had to adjust the time of my entry and I was able to do so by sending an Email. The staff at the House of Frankenstein responded quickly and modified my entry time. On the day of my visit, it was raining and I asked to enter the museum about twenty-five minutes early. Again, I was immediately admitted. The museum is really well laid out. I would recommend at least an hour to seventy-five minutes to really read everything and enjoy the different rooms. I entered around 3:35pm on a busy Saturday in Bath, but I had most of the rooms to myself. I received a lot of value for a relatively affordable ticket. I highly recommend a trip to Mary Shelly's House of Frankenstein.

I found this place truly unique. It’s not just a museum—it’s an immersive, gothic experience that dives deep into Mary Shelley's life and the story of Frankenstein. The life-sized creature was impressive, and the spooky basement added a fun thrill. The exhibits are interactive and well thought out. I also loved how close it is to great cafés—perfect for a post-horror bite! Definitely worth a visit if you're in Bath.

Whooppeeeee. My husband took me for my birthday treat and we both absolutely loved it. The museum was fun and informative and the attention to detail was excellent. I loved being immersed in the gothic house. Each room was really different and kept us interested throughout. There were scares a plenty as well. The Escape room was top notch puzzling! We had a brilliant time. Thanks to the cool team for bringing this experience to Bath.

Decided to pay a visit while in Bath this morning and was thoroughly impressed. The museum section, while small is very informative. Seeing the original vision for Frankensteins look was also really nice. The fun really begins when you get down into the basement. I’d looked at reviews and online to prepare myself for the basement. I’d even looked at videos of people walking through so that I knew what to expect. When I arrived at the basement, all alone without any other people, in I went to explore well aware that being autistic, I’d be truly out of my comfort zone with loud noises and flashing lights. I’d perhaps prepared a little too well as I was barely effected and just enjoying the props until I hear a peekaboo behind me. Yes, there was a live actor in there with me who made me briefly see the afterlife! The live actor was incredible and really seemed to love his job of scaring people. I spent the rest of the time in there laughing while trying to find the exit before my untimely death arrived. Whoever you are, you really made the experience, and my day. I’ll now be bringing friends so they too can experience the basement!

A must for Frankenstein fans, I learnt many things about Shelly's life that drove her to write the novel. Interesting exhibits. But be aware of the basement, it's not for the faint hearted 💀!
Mark J — Google review
A wonderfully creepy, immersive and interactive little museum. If you're a fan of gothic horror and local history a visit here is a must. Worth noting that since it's in a listed building and spread over several floors with steep staircases, some level of fitness is useful for getting around the exhibition. The basement level is definitely not for the faint of heart, but was immensely fun!

Absolutely brilliant, the staff were great and this is a very fun , interactive miseum, especially the basement, my husband will never be the same, we are still laughng about his reaction in the scary basement, hilarious, informative and very interesting, thanks for a great experience!

Truly a gem to find in Bath! I really enjoyed the layout, learning about the author, and the history of the evolution of the creature. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I was truly impressed with the basement (it’s a maze or horrors!). Come for the Roman Baths, but carve out an hour for this gem just a short walk away!

Sally Lunn's, also known as the oldest house in Bath, is a charming tea room and restaurant that holds a special place in the city's history. It is famous for creating a unique teacake that combines the best of both bread buns and cakes, which has become a beloved treat in Bath. Visitors can indulge in delicious buns, including flavors like cinnamon, and enjoy freshly brewed tea.
Such a quaint little cafe. Packed full of history and amazing food. I ordered the tradition bun with chocolate spread and my husband ordered the scone with jam and cream and we got a tea. It came almost straight away and wasn't overly priced. After the food we visited the museum downstairs which again is like travelling back in time. I would highly recommend visiting as it's a lovely experience and great food.

This place is a treat on the taste buds and the eyes. The decor has the olden days character and the food is unusual. Had the beef & mushroom trencher and traditional ham and piccalilli. They were both served on the bun, which is alike a gigantic round bread which tasted like brioche. After the meal, we went down to the basement of the building where there is a tiny museum modelling Sally making and baking the bread in the kitchen. You could buy a bun at £4 in a lovely box packaging.
Jessie C — Google review
A visit to Sally Lunn's, the oldest house in Bath, is truly a must for any traveler. While the savory dishes were pleasant and enjoyable, the real highlight is undoubtedly their iconic bun wonderfully light, fluffy, and absolutely worth the experience. The historic charm of the building, combined with the uniqueness of the menu, makes it a memorable stop. Highly recommended for those looking to soak in a bit of history along with a delightful treat!

Go for the atmosphere, not the food. Tea or coffee is fine. We had tomato soup tasted like it came from a can. Veg soup looked the same, just a different color. Chicken/beef bun was okay. Veggies didn’t look good, potatoes were cold and hard. Lovely old house though.
Łukasz C — Google review
Delicious buns especially the cinnamon one, fresh, juicy and yummy. There is a queue, but first come first served.

Visited with 3 friends for evening meal. Did book as its a popular historic venue. But disappointed in food, for evening meal, stewed meat choices of chicken or pork or beef, on half a lunn bread little veg. Poor quality and taste. Very disappointed. Poor alcohol menu too. Would not return

Wow. Would give Sally Lunn’s 6* if I could. Really lived up to the expectation. Me and my partner shared the double bacon (our favourite) and had a sweet bun each (the lemon curd and classic cinnamon). I particularly enjoyed the house tea. Service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for a Saturday. Would strongly recommend, would definitely come back.
