Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House & Museum is located in Bath, and it's known for being the city's oldest house, dating back to around 1483. The house is famous for its association with the creation of the Sally Lunn Bun, a semi-sweet bread that has become a local delicacy. Legend has it that Sally Lunn, a Huguenot refugee, introduced this brioche-style bun to a baker in Bath in 1680.
Lunch in Bath’s oldest house was a great-tasting treat! We ordered the Steak and Mushroom Trencher, and the the Double Bacon savory half bun, pumpkin soup, and the apple cake for dessert. The bread was fresh, the beef was tender and juicy, the bacon was crisp, and the apple cake was delightful. If we live in the area, we’d probably frequent the place. We even bought some of their brioche bun for the road. If you’re the area, check it out! It’s a must-try!

This is one of the first few shops my family and I came to during our first trip to Bath. The place was really lovely, very warm waitress accompanied by warm service, coupled with lovely food that’s not too filling but at the same not too light. Personally, I would say the buns are really unique that can’t be found anywhere else in the UK or back from where I come from in Malaysia. Really glad to have visited this shop with my family during our trip to the UK!
Bryan L — Google review
Ordered their english breakfast bun (comes with a pot of blend tea or americano coffee) and double bacon bun. The bun is soft inside but crispy outside, not a bread lover, but like this texture and flavour of bun. Match well with the mushrooms, eggs, bacon and sausages. Sausages might be a bit too salty, eat together with bun then it is fine. Double bacon is just normal, but everything brought up by the nice bun.
Zen L — Google review
Peak pastries in an old building that was started by a French lady? We ordered scones with clotted cream and jam, a lemon tart and traditional tea with the cubes and milk. Tea was kinda watery but hey we got the experience. Scones were good and Huge, tasted so good with the cold clotted cream and tangy jam. Tart in sweet bread was okay, too much bread for our liking and too tart. We also ordered potato and leek soup which was perfectly chunky and leaky— I loved it with the bread yum
Ariel J — Google review
Fascinating history with using the original recipe dating back to the 1600s, and absolutely delicious bun! Very large, with a perfect crispiness on the outside, and incredibly soft & fluffy on the inside. Excellent with the cinnamon butter topping, though I found it a tad too sweet. The service isn't the friendliest, however it's still definitely worth stopping by for a unique taste of history, and a warm, freshly made treat :)
Kat — Google review
Certainly best toasted. Tip 👇 Ordered takeaway of two famous Sally Lunn buns—one with sweet lemon curd and the other with cinnamon butter. Service was friendly, though there was a short wait. Packaging was neat (cutlery provided) and the buns were excellent—soft, light, and delicious. The buns were warm and ready to eat, and the extra we took home microwaved/toasted beautifully. A must-try Bath experience. Tip: go straight to the museum shop in the basement (accessed via a narrow Georgian spiral staircase) to order your take-home bun. The shop has some museum displays and good lighting, but it’s small and can feel a bit claustrophobic.
Onbarefeet — Google review
There were queues up the street, so we were disheartened and wet. However, on the way back we saw it was quieter and went inside. It is a really lovely experience. You eat Bath Buns which are gorgeous, with a teapot and there is a little museum downstairs - not much but adds to the atmosphere. Slow service but they are busy! Well worth a visit.

Had a quick look in the little museum and purchased a Bunn to take away and cook at home. Made my own version of a cinnamon butter and then a melted cheese and spring onion one too. Very nice.

Cafe
Sweet Little Things - Old Bond Street is a charming and picturesque cafe that's perfect for those seeking an Instagram-worthy experience. The decor features pastel colors, floral accents, and whimsical elements like rainbows and unicorns. The bottomless afternoon tea offering is a highlight, allowing guests to indulge in a delightful array of sweet treats within 90-minute time slots. With its central location, the cafe attracts attention with its gorgeous exterior.
A really pretty place to be in. Didn't know they had afternoon tea set but had to be booked beforehand. Would definitely love to try that next time. The desserts they had were really nice too. Worth visiting and lovely spot for your photos.
Silpa G — Google review
The place is undeniably charming—think pastel hues, floral touches, and an Instagram-ready vibe that makes you want to snap a photo before you even sit down. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt cozy yet lively, perfect for a little treat stop in the heart of Bath. The food? Really good! Everything I tried tasted fresh and delicious, with the cakes being a standout—moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu has a nice variety, and it’s great to see options for different dietary needs like vegan and gluten-free. It’s clear they put effort into making things taste good and look even better. That said, it’s a little expensive for what you get. The portions are fair, but the prices feel a tad steep—especially if you’re just popping in for a quick coffee and a sweet treat. It’s not outrageous, but it’s something to note if you’re on a budget. Still, the quality and experience make it worth a visit. I’d definitely go back for another tasty indulgence!
Akash K — Google review
Me and my mum enjoyed our afternoon tea here so much yesterday we came back for a sweet treat today too. The food is delicious and the service is excellent too. The dairy free afternoon tea was amazing! I would highly recommend Sweet Little Things!
Fay E — Google review
The decor of this place along with seeing it online is what drew us in. Unfortunately didn’t live up to the hype, the hot chocolate was cold and the cookie was quite hard. My partner asked if we could have the cookie warmed slightly to combat it being hard, staff member serving informed us ‘we don’t do that’. Bit of a shame as first impressions go, and probably wouldn’t visit again based on the above. Very pretty cafe and can understand the curb appeal however we had better treats and service elsewhere in Bath.
Coralie W — Google review
What a charming little shop, offering a delightful selection of unique sweets! The decor is lovely, and I believe it changes beautifully with each season. I had my very first beetroot latte there, and it was a wonderful experience.
Silviyasworld — Google review
Absolutely delicious! I visited this bakery recently and was blown away by how good everything was. The cookie with Kinder cream was out of this world — soft, rich, and perfectly sweet. I also tried the choux pastry with raspberries, and it was simply amazing: light, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

SLT made our wedding cake last month and it was absolutely delicious and looked so beautiful, we couldn’t have been happier! Huge thank you to head baker Jack for all his help from tasting to the final product!
Hannah B — Google review
booked a vegetarian afternoon tea, called on the day and they said it wasn’t vegetarian and to change it would be a cancellation fee. this was rectified, however for the price, the afternoon tea was dire, 4 tiny sandwiches (if i can call them that) which tasted horrible - hummus and cucumber, tomato and avocado? surely there is so much veg option and this is what is chosen? the scones were nice, as were the sweet treats. we wanted to order some extra food, however, there was only 1 veg option, which was not available so we had to go for the 1 vegan option. the drinks were free refills, however i only got asked once for a drink and my husband had to go and ask, the glasses with the juice in were stained and looked as if they hadn’t been washed. the highchair they also gave was sticky and looked like it had never been wiped down. also the decor is faux flowers, which we were sat right underneath and they were covered in dust and looking a musty grey colour. despite this, we were so polite and didn’t mention anything, however the server was extremely stand offish with us from the minute we entered, which made us uncomfortable, so we paid and left quite quickly. i have been here in the past and it wasn’t ever like this, however this experience was a big let down and we wish we didn’t book it for our anniversary. i understand every business doesn’t have the best days everyday, but we did feel disappointed as we did drive from birmingham especially to go here, as i mentioned, i enjoyed going there previously.

The Bath Bun is a classic sweet treat from Georgian Bath, known for its sweet enriched yeast dough, glazed exterior, and surprise lump of sugar in the middle. Even Jane Austen was a fan of this delightful bun. You can experience a traditional British afternoon tea at The Bath Bun Tea Shoppe, where you can enjoy gourmet sandwich fillings and homemade cakes in an old-school setting.
The Bath Bun is a charming little spot full of old-world character, perfect for a classic English tea experience. 🫖 It’s best known for serving the traditional Bath Bun, a soft, sweet bun topped with crushed sugar and filled with currants or candied fruit. Even though I don’t usually like this type of taste, I still found it enjoyable and worth trying. It’s part of the local history after all! The tea shop itself is cozy and beautifully decorated, with a lovely vintage feel. They serve a nice teas, light meals, and other traditional treats. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect—just around the corner from Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. A great little stop while exploring the city!

When the weather permits, sitting outside is delightful. The wee square has a gorgeous, large tree for shade and the ambiance is serene. I was there on a random Thursday morning however so I can’t speak for weekend traffic. Also I discovered tea cakes = fruit toast. Delicious nonetheless, but if you were expecting 🍰 you’d potentially be disappointed

Yesterday I went to Bath and for lunch I decided to stop by the Bath Bun Cafe for some tea. It was honestly such a beautiful experience. The cafe itself has such a lovely, cosy aesthetic, and the vibes were incredible. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and despite how busy it was, they managed everything so efficiently with hardly any wait time. I was seated outside, and the view was just immaculate. Even the first floor of the cafe has such a charming atmosphere everything about it feels warm and inviting. I’ve actually been to this cafe once before, about three years ago, and it was just as amazing then, so I really wanted to relive that same experience. This time, I had a tea, scone, and baguette, and it was absolutely incredible. The service was just wonderful, especially the main lady there (I wish I remembered her name). She was so kind and attentive, always checking in and letting me know if there was any slight delay. Her friendliness really made the whole experience even more special. I really loved the energy, the food, and the people. It’s also very reasonably priced. I would highly, highly recommend Bath Bun Cafe to anyone visiting Bath. Try the Bath Bun, the scones, and enjoy the afternoon tea experience. It’s honestly such a gem of a place. If I lived in Bath, I think I’d be there almost every day!
Heera K — Google review
Lovely place, you can either sit outside or inside in the second floor, the view and decoration are amazing. The staffs are cute and friendly too, good tea and food. Highly recommended for anyone who visiting Bath, you really have to try this once
Nhật K — Google review
Was a bit disappointed after we'd been recommended this tea room to visit for a classic cream tea. The scone was a lovely big scone, but it was a bit dry and the small amount of jam was served in a plastic tub on the plate which just seemed a tad cheap. There was a decent amount of cream supplied but the tea pot, instead of being a classic pot to match the cup was a tin one, along with the milk jug. It wasn't a bad experience of an English cream tea but far from one of the better. The staff were lovely and very friendly.
Chloe H — Google review
Service was friendly, but slow to deliver. The famous Bath bun was extremely disappointing… like having a burger bun with a cube of sugar inside. Happy to have tried it, but wouldn’t recommend it.
Craig B — Google review
I had the strawberries and cream bath bun and it was lovely and sweet. The strawberries were juicy and the bun was fluffy! The tuna baguette was also delicious and the bread was crisp and not too hard.

A lovely sunny afternoon at the Bath Bun Tea Shoppe. Excellent customer service from two lovely South Africans. We had the Decadent Bath Bun which was sweet and chocolatey. I highly recommend anyone to spend an afternoon in Bath for a quick tea and sweet treat.

The Jane Austen Centre, located on historic Gay Street in Bath, is a small museum dedicated to the life and times of the renowned writer. Visitors can explore the well-preserved former townhome with a period-costumed guide and view various displays and materials related to Austen's time in Bath. The city itself was a popular destination for the upper classes during Austen's era due to its famous baths, rural setting, and vibrant social scene.
✨ A must-visit for any Jane Austen fan! ✨ I absolutely loved my visit to the Jane Austen Centre - from the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by wonderful costumed actors who bring the Regency era to life. The introduction talk was so engaging, and seeing the Jane Austen waxwork made it feel like she was right there with us! I adored dressing up in Regency costumes and trying my hand at writing with an authentic quill and ink - such a charming touch. And the perfect finish? Relaxing upstairs in the beautiful Tea Room with delicious treats. A magical experience I’d highly recommend! 💕📜🎩☕️

Definitely a Austen lover's place to visit. Informative and fun... delightful character players who were wonderful! Delightful vintage tearoom ... High teas were amazing! Highlight getting to dress up for photos! Highly recommend
Maureen M — Google review
If you're looking for a serious, highly detailed museum experience, this might not be it, but it's not a bad thing. The Jane Austen Centre is an entertaining and whimsical tribute to Jane Austen's life and work, not to be taken too seriously. The entire experience is made special by the staff, who are incredibly invested in their roles. Each of them adopts a name from Austen's novels. Their presentation on Austen is entertaining and full of energy. They make it clear that the goal is fun, not a dry lecture, and they are happy to answer any questions you have about Austen's life, showing a genuine passion for the subject. The interactive elements, like getting to dress up in period costumes and try your hand at writing with a quill, add to the charm. It's a lighthearted and engaging way to step back in time. The small gift shop is also worth a look for unique souvenirs.

We started our trip there - what a way to start. My kids surprised me with a trip for my birthday. The host and staff were amazing - they made the experience real. They dressed the part and their subtle ways of talking was refreshing without being cheesy. Thank you for a lovely day.

We came for the ‘Mr Darcy’s Afternoon Tea’. Glad we called and made a reservation beforehand. The sandwiches, scones, and tea were delicious! The cakes were pretty dry. Nice, quick service and a fun environment. All the staff in the house were kind and happy to chat.

I had so much fun in this little adorable museum. I didn't do any further research about this place before I visited (I only know there is a Jane Austen museum in Bath). That's why I was shocked and impressed when I first saw all their staff dressed beautifully in those special costumes, which made them unreal to me. They are all very welcoming, friendly and charming! There was a lot to experience in the museum, the Austen family history, stuff from or regarding her literature & movies, a short video about Jane which made me emotional, because I noticed that a lot of the background music was from the movie "Becoming Jane" starred by Anne Hathaway and James Mcavoy (one of my favorite movie back in school time). Please stop here and spend sometime for the video clip - it's so lovely. They also offer costumes so you can dress up and take photos (i love that). Do talk to those lovely staff if possible, they shared a lot of stories behind those photos!!
Sheryl Y — Google review
I really wanted to love this place because I came to bath specifically with Jane Austen in mind but it’s small, old, outdated, and it was so hot inside the small room where the tour started. I believe this might be a private business not run by a trust or the city of Bath. For the price, unless you’re a die-hard fan, you can take a picture with her statue outside and explore other parts of the city.
Tanielle P — Google review
I love the whole Jane Austen experience. From the moment you enter, all your favorite book characters come to live, and greet you. The tour was so much fun, ending the museum experience with a try it on regency outfits! The museum experience was so interactive. After touring the museum, I had tea in the regency tea room. It was fantastic. The staff was really polite and helpful. The tea room is adorable! This whole experience made my day ❤️ Thank you for making my Jane Austen dreams come true!

The Ivy Bath Brasserie & Garden is a sophisticated eatery located on Milsom Street, offering locally sourced seasonal recipes and an elegant atmosphere. The restaurant's stunning environment features a sparkling bar, shimmering chandeliers, modern art work, and smartly-dressed staff providing professional service. Whether it's breakfast pastries or a full English breakfast, the menu offers a variety of options to cater to different tastes.
Had dinner booked before a concert and I must say it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. The restaurant was a little loud, but that is to be expected with the amount of people within a relatively small space. The service was excellent - extremely fast and the staff were very friendly plus professional. I cannot recommend the raspberry, white chocolate and mango cheesecake, with passionate fruit syrup within the middle. The watermelon and strawberry prosecco was also divine, we had to have two. Highly recommend.
Rose G — Google review
As you would expect from the Ivy, it is very stylish, and the food is on point. The time I was there, I don't know if it was a change of shift, but the service was lacking. I ordered a chocolate bomb for dessert, but when it was brought out, it was left on the counter for someone to serve me and sat there for about 10 minutes. By then, the caramel sauce had cooled, so it didn't melt the chocolate when it was poured over the dessert. 🙄 Eventually, another one was brought out, but I waited 25 minutes for dessert.
Jason E — Google review
I had a lovely dinner at The Ivy. The food was amazing, and the Chicken Milanese was cooked to perfection! We were served by Arthur, who was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Although we waited a little longer than expected for our starters, Scarlet, the manager, kindly brought us olives and almonds while we waited, which was a lovely touch. Everything was well managed — thank you! We’ll definitely be coming back.
Anastasia B — Google review
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Ivy in Bath. We started with a delicious crab appetizer and a flavorful duck salad, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken breast served in a rich truffle sauce and an outstanding steak in peppercorn sauce that simply melted in the mouth. For dessert, we indulged in an incredible treat — ice cream enclosed in a chocolate bomb with a silky chocolate mousse, beautifully melted by hot caramel sauce poured over the top. It was divine! The décor was stunning, the atmosphere was calm and elegant, making it the perfect place to celebrate special moments with loved ones. The service was excellent — attentive and professional without being intrusive. We highly recommend The Ivy and will definitely return on our next visit to Bath!
Monika P — Google review
We had the Sunday Roast, Black Cod and Truffle & Parmesan Fries, and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and unpretentious everything was! Everything was also well priced considering the upscale look of the restaurant. Some servers were a little snooty, perhaps more noticeably since we’re Asian, but honestly it wasn’t the worst!
Karmen — Google review
The service was very very slow and we asked for sparkling water 3 times before they remembered. The food was ok- but for the price, I expected more. The chocolate bomb dessert was a let down because the caramel sauce was at too hard of a stage and turned into rock very quickly. Everything was a bit underseasoned. The scallops were great but small.
Mackenzie W — Google review
We had the best time here thanks to the bartenders Jamie and Tony! All of our cocktails were incredible, and the service was very friendly. It was the perfect location for a lovely evening out with a great drink selection.

My friend and I had the most beautiful meal at the Ivy in Bath. We had tempura prawns, salt and pepper squid, shepherds pie and vegetable curry. Washed down with 2 champagne mojitos and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Delicious! We were served by Daisy W chk 332 on Saturday 8 November. She was very attentive and friendly. Daisy took a couple of photos for us. Thanks Daisy for making our evening special!

The Bath Priory is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of the city, offering elegant and polished accommodations. The hotel features a renowned Michelin-starred restaurant that serves modern European cuisine with exquisite flavors and quality ingredients. Nestled within four acres of stunning gardens, this country house hotel provides a tranquil oasis just a short walk from the city center. Each of its 33 rooms is uniquely decorated with artwork and antiques, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a private residence.
An amazing experience from start to finish! The staff was very polite and helpful throughout our stay, offering a small tour of the hotel upon arrival. The facilities and amenities were great, with the spa offering a great space for relaxation throughout the weekend. The gardens offered amazing views both from our room and when having breakfast / coffee in the hotel.

Disappointed overall. For spending £300 or $400 a night, this hotel did not reach expectations set by their website. The staff were amazing and service was good the night we ate at their “pantry,” but the rest of the stay was lacking a 5-star experience. The room, which was still quite small despite being a “Superior” was outdated (not in a quaint, charming way) The bed frame had lots of visible wear and the bed sconces were missing shades. The room and bathroom had almost no table or counter space and only two hooks for robes/ towels. The bathroom did not even have a toilet paper holder. The room also did not have air conditioning. Thankfully we had cooler weather during our stay and kept the fan on and windows open to help. If the weather had been any warmer we would have been extremely uncomfortable. The pools were nice but close quite early at 8pm. Overall it seems like the Priory wants to operate as a 5-star hotel without putting in effort to maintain 5-star facilities.

*Review on the restaurant only* Highly recommend the Sunday Lunch: the quiet indoor seating area, peaceful garden, and amazing food makes for a great experience. Staff was notably young, but surely still attentive and young. The food was delicious, in particular the quai entree.

I surprised my girlfriend with Afternoon Tea for a 1 Year Anniversary. The food was incredible and they even surprised us with an extra plate of sweet treats to celebrate our anniversary. Kristina, our host, was so lovely, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend to anyone thinking of coming!

I was here for my brothers wedding and Staff were very friendly and attentive and they were very present so you could easily find them if you needing anything. Only negative is that the prices at the bar were steep for what you got and you should offer complementary snacks such as olives and crips to go with your drink. I would also expect more table service outside. Both things are pretty standard in Europe. Lovely venue though just what you'd hope for at a big occasion like a wedding.

I have stayed here and booked in for dinner, lunch and afternoon tea on a few occasions. I was very disappointed on a recent trip where I had booked in for afternoon tea with my visiting family. Unfortunately, when we booked, the venue did not advise us there would be a wedding taking place at the same time. We arrived to find a wedding party posing for pictures at the front entrance, and had to awkwardly interrupt to get inside. There was no room for us in the main dining area (I would imagine due to the wedding), and we were told we could be seated outside. However, we were told no umbrellas allowed due to the wind and no shade was available, and it was nearly 30c! We opted for the alternative which was one of the lounges. While the staff were friendly, and the food to the usual good standard, the ambience was severely lacking. The room was a walk through for wedding guests/staff and for touring guests on check in and it was obvious they were short staffed, so lots of waiting. We were also seated on a low small table which was unsuitable. There were no apologies or compensation offered for the shortcomings. When I emailed to complain about the experience I received no response, which was additionally disappointing and frustrating. Only when I sent a chaser did I receive a reply, which in a roundabout way said thanks for the feedback. It's made me think twice about booking in again, especially with visiting guests we had recommended the venue to, as it was a bit embarrassing.

A perfect stay from beginning to end. Georgie (hopefully spelled correctly) greeted us at reception with a smile and kindly showed us around all the facilities and to our beautiful room filled with lots of little complementary items. We enjoyed an afternoon in the spa and had room service (with no added service charge) in the evening. We visited during quite a warm weekend but this was no issue due to the Dyson fan provided in the room. Breakfast in the morning was great. Would highly highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to choose the bath priory for our next visit!

The Gainsborough Bath Spa is a luxurious Georgian building that houses a contemporary spa hotel with direct access to the city's famous thermal springs. The Asian-inspired spa offers three thermal pools, an infrared sauna, steam room, ice alcove, and yoga room for guests to enjoy wellness treatments. The hotel's historical roots are reflected in its interiors, featuring elegant bedrooms decorated in a serene blue and grey color scheme.
We had a wonderful stay! We originally booked a standard room but were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the best suite in the hotel — and the hospitality was truly exceptional from start to finish. There were lovely little touches waiting for us when we arrived, and when we returned from dinner, we found a thoughtful box of cheeses, the curtains drawn, and the bed beautifully prepared for the night. The hotel’s location is very central, which meant it could be a little busy and noisy at times, but the mattress was so comfortable that we still had one of the best nights of sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel! We also booked massage treatments and spent time enjoying the spa facilities — both were absolutely amazing. Every member of staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay special. It was such a memorable experience, and we’ll definitely return when visiting Bath again — or perhaps try one of their other properties elsewhere.
W — Google review
My partner and I stayed for two nights at the hotel recently. The rooms were truly impressive - spotless, quiet, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were warm, courteous, and genuinely attentive throughout our stay. These aspects really reflected the standard you’d expect from a high-end hotel. Unfortunately, several issues seriously let the experience down. We booked directly through the hotel’s website, which clearly stated that direct bookings include a complimentary bottle of wine - yet none was provided. When we raised this at checkout, we received no explanation, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. There was also no bottled water in the room, something that should be standard in any 5-star property. We ended up having to buy our own from Tesco, which was both inconvenient and disappointing. Finally, we had booked treatments at the Spa Village and were supposed to receive a 20% discount for booking directly. We were charged the full amount instead, and only after bringing it up at checkout was the price adjusted. These lapses in attention to detail and communication are unacceptable for a hotel positioning itself as a luxury 5-star destination. A beautiful room and kind staff can’t make up for misleading offers and service oversights of this nature. 2/5

The service is curteous and helpful, even if the rooms were not of true five star quality. The spa is lovely to enjoy, but try coming early so it doesn't get busy during the morning and evening hours for guest. Be mindful that the central location can be very noisy, and the limited insulation leaves the room quite cold. I left a note of recommendations to the manager and she was very appreciative and understanding. What an odd experience for me; I definitely learned a lot from myself spiritually staying here.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our spa day here at the Gainsborough! After spending the first part of the day exploring the city, we kicked off our spa day package with afternoon tea at which we enjoyed with a glass of champagne. Afterwards we made our way down to the spa where we were greeted by lovely staff in which they explained what to expect and showed us the facilities. Both of us loved our massages both the therapists were welcoming and we were both very comfortable the entire time. Afterwards we were able to enjoy a quiet time in the baths just between the time the hotel guests have access and the people who were finishing with their spa treatments. At one point we were the only people which was a fantastic way to end and wind down before heading back to London.
Grace — Google review
We stayed at the Gainsborough for its location. The SLH Hilton brand is exceptional. I booked directly with the hotel and the concierge staff were very helpful getting our luggage transported and connecting us to the nearby carpark, arranged through the hotel As a minor thing, we had sodas and water replenished every day of our stay. American Express was offering a coupon for a discount to the spa. The quality of the rooms is wonderful. The access to the spa for hotel guests for morning and evening windows is fantastic. Payment is required for a more luxurious mid-day experience. (I would recommend that the hotel add a nominal fee to deter those guests who may just want a hot soak, and reduce the numbers and improve the experience.) One small quirk to make this hotel memorable is that the building next door across an alley is annexed for a large number of rooms. Access is through a hall tunneled under the alley.

Here as a birthday surprise. I absolutely loved it. They upgraded us to a suite also in the room they put a cute cupcake and bottle of red wine. They also bought us a box of local cheese as an extra surprise. The bed was huge and comfy. The spa was so relaxing worth every second definitely worth a visit. The massage was lovely. All the staff have been amazing thank you all so much for making my birthday so amazing

So glad I found this hotel/spa online. My friend and I were thrilled upon arrival to see how wonderful this hotel is especially the spa. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very nice. The spa was exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the multiple thermal pool areas and treated ourselves to a massage. The 2 masseuses that we had were outstanding. Sometimes it is all about location, location and location. The Gainsborough has "location." Right in the middle of Bath. It was a very enjoyable stay,.

We stayed here as a family. We had one Spa Room (124) that had the mineral springs come into the bathtub for my wife and me, and the other room a standard room for our son. Check-in was fine - we took a cab from the train station and arrived at around 12:30pm. They were not able to accommodate us until check-in time at 3pm. I don't think this is the kind of hotel that accommodates an early check-ins because of its smaller size and staffing. Once we got into our room, we found our Spa room 124 comfortable albeit a bit small. We were on the first floor, and looked out onto a public park that at the time was filled with teenaged students from the local school. As the hotel is in an historic building, the Georgian style windows are large, so we didn't really have much privacy. Also, there's no soundproofing, so when there's any noise outside, you can hear everything. This was especially bothersome at night, when all the college students come into town and party at the local pubs and bars. It is loud until around 11:30pm on Friday, and midnight on Saturday. I understand whey there's not soundproofing because of the historic nature of this beautiful building, but this is a downside for sure, and not sure if any other rooms would be any better. That said, everything else at the hotel was lovely. despite it being a busy weekend (perhaps most weekends are busy?) the staff handled all the guests gracefully, although the one bartender in their tiny bar did get overwhelmed the one evening I sat there for a drink. Breakfast was good, and back to the room, the bed was comfortable and both my wife and son enjoyed the big tub with the spa waters. The best part of the hotel, which I would imagine is what most people come for, is the spa itself. It is large, well appointed, has different areas with different pools of varying temperatures as well as hot rooms and cold rooms. It's really, really good and in great shape, and it's fun lying in the pools imagining that these are the same waters the Romans bathed in 2000 years ago. Because we were in a Spa Room, we got to use the facilities for free at any time, unlike other rooms at the hotel whose guests would need to pay £70 a visit. We paid the £70 pounds without thinking twice about it for our son. (The hotel does offer complimentary visits for guests not in Spa Rooms but the hours are early mornings and evenings only) All in all, an enjoyable stay, but too bad about the noise. I think if we were to visit again, if it was over a weekend, I would pick somewhere that wasn't right in the center of town because it is noisy being a college town. Perhaps early/mid week it's quieter because students aren't staying out as late drinking.

Cascara is a vibrant vegan cafe located in the heart of Bath, offering a delightful array of dairy and gluten-free baked goods, specialty coffee, handmade juices, and vegan treats. The cafe provides a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle with its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.
Stopped by this relaxed two-storey café for brunch and had a really lovely experience. The staff were warm and immediately made me feel at home. I had the scrambled tofu on sourdough toast, with seasonal toppings—this time peppery watercress and crisp radish. The tofu was fluffy with great texture and flavour. I was so impressed that the staff kindly shared their cooking method so I could recreate it at home! Also had a chai latte, which was beautifully spiced. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill, vegan spot with thoughtful food and genuinely kind service.

Great little cafe. The juices are amazing and we just had avocado on toast but everything else on the menu sounds so amazing! Unfortunately, they didn't have veggie sausages and that was something we were craving so decided to go on the hunt for veggie sausages 😭 Which was sad because I wish I could have had that along with a few of their other dishes! Coffee was lovely too and the person served us seemed like a wholesome person! Genuine service. 😊 Food seems good value for money with the portion sizes too. I would return if I was in Bath or nearby but sadly Manchester and Bath are abit far!

A lovely little vegan restaurant in the middle of Bath. We were lucky enough to get a seat upstairs, and enjoyed a delicious lunch of beetroot risotto. The risotto was entirely vegan, and so flavourful, abd looked beautiful as well. The staff were helpful and friendly. The stairs are quite steep, like in so many places in Bath, but there is seating in the ground floor for people who are less mobile. The toilet is down a flight of stairs. Clean and well maintained. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back here to eat next time I visit Bath.

100% vegan. Our lunch was very tasty. A wee bit on the salty side but completely edible. I enjoyed the hummus plate: crunchy roasted asparagus, marinated meaty tempeh chunks, and pickled beetroot over potato wedges and rich house-made hummus (see photo; Thai tofu plate and latte shown at top). Friendly service.

I visited Cascara for the first time today after a quick google map search for a vegan cafe and it by far exceeded my expectations. The manager and her team were so incredibly lovely, and my lunch (the humous plate) was beautifully put together and restaurant quality. Cute interior and tables outside - it is not an obviously vegan cafe, which must have pros and cons. I didn’t have a coffee, but hope to be back to try one soon, along with the sandwiches they are planning to introduce!

Renowned chef Richard Bertinet's expertise in traditional baking techniques shines through the bakery's offerings, from their signature sourdough loaf to indulgent almond croissants and pain au chocolat. The menu features an array of freshly baked artisan breads and pastries, including the popular Mushroom Croque Monsieur and Caramel Brownie.
Found this bakery on our recent trip to Bath! O and we are so glad ! Their chocolate babka had a rich chocolatey filling, so good and so fresh! All their pastries looked amazing! All baked fresh the same day! And of course we picked up a couple of loaves - ciabatta and multi seed sourdough! The staff is nice and friendly and also sliced and packed the loaf for us to take home! Highly recommend it!

This bakery must be absolutely amazing — by the time I arrived, everything was already sold out! I could only grab a hot chocolate, which was delicious and made me even more curious about all the baked goods I missed. If you don’t want to leave empty-handed like I did, make sure to come early! A truly charming little spot that clearly has earned its popularity — I can't wait to come back and experience the full menu next time!

We tried pistachio swirl which was fantastic and the pain suisse which was okay. The atmosphere is nice sitting outdoor. The espresso was too sour but maybe it wasn’t just my taste.

We only tried their babka (£4.60) which is so rich and so good—a lot of chocolate 🫶 and tastes so good. Will definitely try something else when we return to Bath in future!

The rosemary & sea salt focaccia is fantastic,we used to be able to get them from Gloucester services before we moved. We've not had one in about 6 years,as we were having a long weekend in Bath we treated ourselves to one - just as we remembered 😋 I had a steak & veg pasty, which is very nice but in my honest opinion, not worth the almost £6 I paid for it. 2 pieces of carrot, bit of onion but a nice nice amount of steak. The salted caramel brownie is amazing, but like the pasty not worth the £3.50 unless the portion size was bigger.

Incredible selection of delicious pastries & bread. The cinnamon pretzels are amazing. Great coffees too. Friendly staff .

I had been told how good this bakery was, so when visiting family in Bath decided to try. We were very disappointed by the sourdough bread. It had the taste and texture of an old loaf and not freshly made. The babka had a raw part in it too. This is certainly not what I would have expected for the price paid.

Ordered a cake and some cup cakes for a client of mine. They came up with a really creative idea to showcase what I had requested. The cake tasted amazing, looked amazing and was a real centre piece. We had to make a few fairly last minute tweaks and pick their brains around sizing and they were so adaptable and amenable. I would 100% use again. Did I say the cake tasted epic! Just updating this review as ordered 168 cupcakes and a cake for an event and it was exceptional again. Beautifully decorated and tasted amazing. The butter cream is to die for.

Didicakes were so helpful and organised. I had made a big order for 13 little cakes as my wedding cake so that married couples we’d honoured on each table could cut a cake each while we did ours. This fed the 100 guests we had. They helped with the order and delivery and on the day I didn’t need to assist which was so good as I was already preoccupied with loads of other things so this was invaluable to me ! The cakes tasted delicious and they adapted to a mistake I’d made to the order well and managed the dietary requirements perfectly and even suggested a away of distinguishing the cakes that kept with the weddings aesthetics ! Photos are @creativedepictionstudios Thank you so much !

Been there yesterday (we are portuguese). Good quality, but they got our order wrong. Sadly we bought pack of 6 and paid nearly £15 to bring home what we didn't ask. We didn't open the package before leave thinking they got it right. We tried the expresso and the nata was FANTASTIC, the portuguese girl was able to speak portuguese fantastic service. I would advice anyone either write down before you order multi flavour natas pack of 6 or check before you leave. Beside that, quality was good. Hopefully I will go there again and maybe will get you a better review.

Possibly one of the best tarts i've tasted. You can see them being freshly made infront of your own eyes. The normal one was the perfect level of sweetness and a wonderful texture. Awesome place in Bath central area. We were looking for pastries and we found this place. We tried the Lemon Cheesecake which was delicious. The service was outstanding, super welcoming form beginning to the end. They have loads of options of pastries to try. Totally recommended.

Good food, but expensive for the amount you get. Went to Rosario's for breakfast and was impressed by the taste of the food, however for almost £15 each I'd expect a bit more than one small sausage, one slice of toast (cut into two) and two rashers of bacon. If you want extra bacon it's an extra 1.75 per rasher, so I got three in total for a £16 breakfast. Quality wise it's great, but value wise there are better options nearby.

Fantastic lunch was had by all and we felt very lucky to have found such a fantastic place for an easy, casual lunch washed down with Prosecco in the afternoon sun! Fish was beautifully cooked and tasted so fresh. Baked goods were an amazing treat as I dont usually get dessert, but glad for it as they were so well made. We loved also that all the baked goods are made in-house (including the ice-cream!) All dietary requirements were happily met. Personally I loved how seasonal my dish felt, with the Mackerel on rye croute and the addition of pickled Loganberries, Redcurrants and fermented Mirabelle plums. Highly recommend for those that particularly seek out restaurants with an ethos to providing local, sustainable, transparent food fare. Great work Thoughtful Bakery!

Amazing day at thoughtful bakery. We were on a sourdough course and came home laiden with goods; amazingly well fed with pastries to start, a beautiful lunch and then cakes. The staff were so helpful and kind. The course was very thorough and Duncan was patient and full of very useful tips and hints. Can't wait to put it all to the test. Our second course at thoughtful bakery was a delight. Sourdough last time and croissants this time. The teachers were so patient and full of useful hints and tips. The added bonus of lovely tea, coffee, an amazing lunch really made it quite exceptional. The teacher to student ratio was very high which gave it a very personal feel. 5 stars just are not enough!

I seriously regret only getting to this place on my last day in Bath. What a treasure. Friendly folks purvey top notch sourdough bread and a variety of incredible baked goods and cooked food as well. The sausage roll and so-called vegetarian sausage roll were excellent, with quality pastry encasing something more akin to country style pate than sausage. So delicious. And for breakfast I had three scrambled eggs over bread slathered with dripping butter. The eggs were good, but the best part was eating that bread after the eggs had been consumed.

I decided to go and try Thoughtful bakery plus some other places and I don’t regret my choice, their staff are so kind and nice like how it is every where in Bath which I really miss.I bought some cakes, white sourdough and donuts, they were all good but the donuts is the best one I’ve ever had, it was the raspberry and pistachio one. The only thing that makes me sad is this place wasn’t there when I used to live here . I’m sure I will come back here again next time when I’m going to visit Bath

This is one of my favourite bakery shop that sell yummy croque monsieur. I assumed that they used brioche loaf and sliced them really thick which gives a soft crumbs and crispy crust after baking or grilling the sandwiches. The top was filled with gooey Gruyère cheese which was my favourite. If you love Croque Monsieur as much as I do, you have have to try it out here!

Great local independent cafe and bakery - probably the best one in Bath! My wife and I are regulars since moving here over a year ago. Food is always fresh with ingredients and tasty. Service is efficient and friendly.

Thank you very much Thoughtful Bakery! The owner is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Really made us feel welcome and added to our experience during our visit on a Friday evening. They were serving cocktails and light bites, along with the baked goods and pastries on the counter. The food and drinks were lovely, with amazing staff to match. If you’re in Bath then I highly recommend visiting!

Chose this bakery based on the fact that it’s local and everything is made in house. What a score! Perfect peaches and mascarpone cruffin and delicious breakfast sandwich with hash browns. Don’t miss the house made ketchup and caramel latte. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, top notch experience all the way around.

If you're looking for a whimsical twist on the classic afternoon tea experience, The Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Bath is an enchanting destination. This charming, family-run café draws inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, creating a delightful atmosphere filled with quirky decor and mismatched china. Guests can indulge in an array of freshly made sandwiches, delectable homemade cakes, and warm scones that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Booked an afternoon tea via email which was super easy. Got there and the staff were so lovely, really good sandwiches , scones were perfect and the cake was amazing. Wholesome place for any occasion

The food and atmosphere were great! The shop was very cute and we had the afternoon tea. I had the brie and grape sandwich which was delicious and refreshing. My son had the BLT which was stuffed with yummy bacon. The plain scones with jam were thick and just the perfect amount of sweetness. We were too full for the cakes but took them with us. They made for an excellent dinner - the victorian sponge cake was wonderfully flavorful and the sweet cream was perfect! The staff were very kind even with being very busy on a terribly hot day. If you are looking for a cute location with very flavorful food, I highly recommend checking them out.

Had afternoon tea at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and went for their £26 offer, which includes two cakes, two scones, sandwiches, fruits and unlimited hot drinks. The Alice in Wonderland vibe was really cute. I had the brie and cranberry sandwiches and my friend went for the pesto chicken. To be completely honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the sandwiches, but the drinks and desserts made up for it. Their hot drinks are really nice, and the cakes and scones were definitely the highlight. Overall, you get what you pay for. It’s a good deal, especially with the unlimited drinks, and the whole experience has a really nice atmosphere. Worth it for a chill, aesthetic afternoon out.

Booked an afternoon tea for a birthday treat for my daughter. The food was lovely, you're offered a selection of sandwiches and a choice of cakes from ywhich you choose your preference alongside scones, jam and cream. You are offered tea or coffee, again of your choice, and this is unlimited. The portion size was plentiful and tasted delicious. What you didn't eat was boxed and bagged to take away. The service was professional and polite. The bathroom is tiny (and I mean tiny). You almost have to perch sideways over the seat to pee, no paper hand towels available, only a hand dryer, which isn't great for infection control being it's such a tiny room. I have starred Mad Hatters Tea Room 3 stars simply because the price lets it down. The cost was expensive at £52 for two people (£26 each) this making it the most expensive afternoon tea I have had (and I've had a few). The bathroom facility needs an upgrade and needs to supply paper hand towels. If you're interested in booking, make sure you're aware of the price before you visit as it's a nasty shock when the bill arrives.

I had cream tea and it was decent. Beautiful view as it is near the bridge and river at Bath. However for £6.99 I expected a little more clotted cream and better quality jam. The cafe is very cute though and guy serving was friendly.

Food was absolutely delicious. Portions were a great size and I loved the aesthetic of the place and the cozy vibes. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

A delightful little spot in Bath that brings Alice in Wonderland to life. The quirky, playful décor makes it feel like a magical hideaway — perfect for a relaxed bite. The food and drinks were lovely — fresh, comforting, and nicely presented, just like everything else in this café. The staff were friendly, and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. A must-visit if you’re after good food and a bit of wonder!

Step into the world of Jane Austen at the Regency Tea Room, located in Bath's famous Jane Austen Centre. This charming tea room offers a quintessentially British experience with its morning coffee, champagne afternoon teas, sandwiches, and soups. The staff dressed in authentic historical attire adds to the immersive experience.
Lovely place to stop for a cuppa if visiting the Jane Austen Centre or are just walking by. We enjoyed a nice selection of teas and scones in a period setting. The team was welcoming and accommodating. Especially nice if you’d like a quieter setting for an afternoon tea. We were able to walk in, but a booking would usually be recommended.

The best afternoon tea I have ever had! I’m not sure what the other reviews are talking about, but the scones were hot and fresh. The sandwiches were excellent, and the pastries were sublime. The service was very fast, and the servers were extremely kind. It was also only £29.50 per person, making it very affordable as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for afternoon tea in Bath.

We booked Mr Darcy’s afternoon tea during Jane Austen Festival. Definitely a special experience, the staff were friendly and helpful, the cafe was very elegant with periods music as a background. Tasty sandwiches and scones as well as a nice selection of good quality teas.
Kamila W — Google review
I was really excited for this experience, but in the end I left feeling like it was alright but nothing special. We arrived 15 minutes early to our reservstion and asked staff if it was okay to head into the tea room which they agreed to and encouraged, but when we entered the staff inside told us the table wouldn't be ready until exact time of the reservation and we should go back downstairs to wait. Unfortunately, the stairwell gets very crowded due to the layout of the building so it was difficult to go up and down the stairs. If there was an area to wait upstairs or if staff didn't encourage us to go up early, I think the experience would have started off better. The afternoon tea itself took a very long time to come out despite it being a set menu that we booked in advance. I enjoyed the charming little timer to let you know when to pour your tea, and the tea itself was good. The finger sandwiches were standard. The scones were served warm, and the plain scone was delicious! Unfortunately, the fruit scone was the opposite: hard, dry, and tasted as if it had been sitting out for a long time. All the pastries on top were okay, but nothing was particularly special. I was hoping for nice theming of tea sets or desserts at the Regency Tea Room, but in the end it just is an okay afternoon tea that could be found elsewhere. Overall, I still enjoyed my time, but I am not sure if I would come back to the tea room even if I visit the centre again.

So fun and authentically splendid!! The tea was lovely, the sweets, biscuits, and sandwiches. Too bad Mr. Colin Firth Darcy wasn't really there.

The Regency Tea Room was absolutely exquisite! The tea was excellent, the food was delectable, and the service was impeccable. The cozy, nostalgic atmosphere made it such a charming spot for afternoon tea. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend for a perfect afternoon tea experience!

Food was great, but also small orders are very filling! I do recommend booking the food in advance to have a broader selection. Great selection of teas. So kind and patient with everything. Trying to accommodate what they can while they are usually fully booked and have limited capacity but that has no influence on their service. I hope they are met with the same kindness they show customers as it.

Afternoon tea was nice. However they forgot our order and we got tea 40 mins after we arrived. And food 50 minutes after we arrived. Scones were great but sandwiches were ok

Tea house
Georgian Tearooms, located on Abbey Street, offers a unique and traditional experience with over 20 carefully selected teas. The two-tiered High Tea includes a variety of sandwiches, homemade cakes, biscuits, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a pot of tea. The tearoom has a laid-back atmosphere complemented by the soothing tunes of an in-house pianist. Visitors appreciate the relaxing pale blue decor and friendly staff who provide excellent service even during closing hours.
My partner and I went for an afternoon tea type situation, as I was desperate to have a scone and jam whilst we were in Bath. He doesn’t like scones, but they have something for everyone and he ordered a chocolate cake that looked amazing. I would’ve loved if I could have had clotted cream instead of butter but I’m not even sure if they offer it, I was delighted anyway. We had originally sat outside but due to the amount of seagulls and my fear of birds, we had to move inside. Even though it was busy, the girls on shift cleared up the tables extremely quickly, and if it wasn’t for their efficiency, my partner’s phone could have been stolen, as he’d accidentally left it on the table outside when we had moved to a table inside. The decor was lovely inside.

Tea with a view. Maybe it was the spectacular ambience or the incredible weather but this was a very pleasant rest stop. Coffee was tasty, tea hit the spot and they were even thoughtful enough to bring extra hot water. Staff were super pleasant and helpful which was refreshing. Washrooms were basic but clean and functional although it might be a challenge for those with limited mobility, if that's you, don't drink so much! Price was surprisingly inexpensive for somewhere with such an incredible view, £6ish for a pot of tea and a coffee. Certainly not obscene for Bath. Can definitely appreciate the fact this wasn't a chain though prices could trick you otherwise.

A lovely place to stop and watch the world pass by, just by the abbey and down from the historic plane tree. Great helpings, good tea, and a lovely setting. Priced for tourists, it’s still reasonable to have afternoon tea for two here.

We treated ourselves to a Georgian Cream Tea and everything was absolutely first class. The scone was warm and fresh, not too much cream and the tea and coffee was delicious. The staff/service was also brilliant, very friendly and efficient. I've had a cream tea at the famous "Betty's Tea Room" in York and I can honestly say that the one we had at the Georgian Tearooms was far superior while also being cheaper!

Nice little place. We decided to have lunch on Sunday. Went for jacket with cheese and my other half went for homemade lasagna. Food was nice but we were not wowed , just average. I had a cream tea too and scone was delicious with the clotted cream and jam. Service was nice and quick despite being busy.

Good Day Cafe in Bath is a charming independent coffee shop known for its delightful brunch plates and delectable baked treats. The cafe's friendly team of enthusiastic bakers crafts mouth-watering cakes, cookies, brownies, and milkshakes that are highly regarded by sweet-toothed visitors.
Ordered latte with caramel and we love it. We don’t usually like the coffee here in the UK and this is a good one so far 👏🏻 we love the strawberry pancake too, it was so delicious. We love that the cafe is dog friendly too 🥰 overall experience was great.
Lili S — Google review
My partner and I enjoyed a delicious brunch here, my beautiful partner had garlic mushrooms on toast and I had smashed avocado on toast, I asked for an additional poached egg on mine and it was no trouble at all, to drink I enjoyed a lovely creamy cappuccino and my partner had an orange juice. The staff were happy to help and very friendly plus we didn't think the pricing was too bad either! All in all a great experience ☺️
Jamie S — Google review
The hot chocolate is excellent quality using actually chocolate (there were some nice half melted chunks at the bottom of the cup!), frothy and hot with a rich flavour (70%). The Turkish eggs were also good with a strong flavour, eggs poached to perfection with a runny centre, nice spicy kick from the chilli oil and a single piece of halved sour dough toast. The toast did get a bit soggy rather quickly owing to lying in the yoghurt which itself had made the dish nearly cold by the time it was served so I wouldn’t recommend on a cold day. The garlic flavour was also quite strong and the aftertaste remained with me for the rest of the day. Overall, nice and very filling. The mango pancakes were also good. The mango was soft and squishy from the caramelisation (though not with much caramel flavour) and the pancakes were sweet and fluffy. The sauce was very good. Service was relatively speedy and the waitress very friendly and welcoming.
FlyingPanda — Google review
Came to visit the Good Day Cafe as it was highly recommend and it did not disappoint. I had the poached egg on sourdough bread with the garlic mushrooms and OMG I could not fault it. It was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I also had a pumpkin spiced white hot chocolate which went down a treat. The staff were all so friendly and made the experience even better. I then went into the bakery and picked out a couple of goodies to take away. This was hard as there was so much choice and it all looked so delicious. I loved how they are doing the witch booby scotchie where half of the sale goes to breast cancer now. If I could give more than 5 stars if I could. ❤️

Every time I visit Bath, I make sure I have time to tick off Good Day Café! The staff are super lovely and welcoming. They have so many delicious breakfast brunch meals available, it's always an "umm" and "arrrr" moment when I look at the menu but I know whatever I choose, it'll be heaven! Their sweet treats are the best in Bath, such a big and fun selection of items. I recently bought an eyeball scotchie and the mint scare-ro brownie roll - DIVINE! ❤️ I'd highly recommend the Good Day Café for the best experience and tastes ❤️

Only tried their classic brownie (takeaway £3.25) and it's now one of my favourites! I like my brownie rich and gooey. This goes so well with hot black coffee (no sugar) ☕ I'd like to try their brookies too.

Tried Ben's Cookies in the covered market in Oxford and at this one in Bath, and both were gooey, fresh and just wonderful. The logo, made by my favourite illustrator Quentin Blake, drew me in ;)

Very good quality cookies. Yes, pricey, but you do get much depth for the cost. Very fresh, and well-presented. One-star loss only because I have had some incredibly delicious cookies that I would not share with my children. A tough bar but that's it. I would have loved to try the orange but I think it would have been better suited with dark rather than milk chocolate. At these prices, was not prepared to be disappointed.

Excellent cookies. I really liked the praliné one and the peanut butter. It comes in a nice red box, perfect for a gift. Staff is friendly, gave good advice and professional. I will definitely come to Ben's cookies on my next visit.

My Brazilian flatmate recommended this cookie franchise to me the day before my day trip to Bath. Boy was I glad I bought a Ben's box - 7 cookies. These cookies are AMAZING. A bit on the sweet side though, but the chocolate chunks taste so good in these chewy & crispy cookies. They're huge too! Would definitely buy them again.
Suthida C — Google review
Lovely and soft cookies. Staff were practically mute though. The one girl collecting the cookies said "yes" before I told her what I wanted. She then passed the cookies to the girl on the till without another word. She said "just this?" And encouraged me to pay by tapping the card machine.
Rosie — Google review
I give it 3 as the actual cookies were lovely and they always have been as I have been going here for years. I also cannot speak for the other staff. However the service me and my mother received was applauding from an older woman with a blonde bob she made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to be in the shop we genuinely did nothing but order and pay , a shame really as it is normally so lovely.

Soft and chewy cookies, cooked perfectly so they're just firm on the outside and moist on the inside. I recommend the double chocolate chunk cookies!

In addition to their high-quality teas, they also serve homemade cakes and biscuits infused with tea flavors. I enjoyed a leisurely pot of tea and delicious cherry cake while chatting with the owner. I would happily return with friends and family and encourage everyone to take the plunge and go inside to experience a great cup of tea.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is lovely — you can take your time and relax. They have a huge variety of teas. I highly recommend the tea tasting set. The price is great for the value. You can steep the tea leaves several times. The caramel cake was decadent. I will absolutely be back.

Wow what an experience! I got in contact with these guys whilst trying to find a place to take my tea obsessed girlfriend for lunch. I received an email back from Michelle who gave me all the info I needed and also arranged for a candle to be put in our cake. We went for the two person sharing board with a different tea each. Everything about the food was great, the whole tea experience with a timer was brilliant. We were given a great amount of info from the waitress about the tea and how it was made. I actually drank more tea in the hour I was there than I have done I’ve the last ten years. If you’re a fan of tea, this is the place to go! The only thing we felt the place needed was a tiny bit of background music, otherwise it was perfect!

Fantastic tea shop hidden in plain sight! Came across it on a Monday lunchtime, not too busy unlike some coffee shops a stones throw away. The amount of tea is astounding! I went for the 'Ruby Black' which was devine. Also opted for the veg gyoza which were also beautiful, the sriracha sauce adds a great choice for a spicy kick! Staff were friendly and informative, not too intrusive with the choices and explained the brewing times that each tea we chose had. Loved the fact they left you with a pot of hot water to refill as you went along! The cake choice was also lovely - the ginger cake was gorgeous! Cant recommend enough if you want a delightful change from the generic coffee shops all over Bath.

As a Taiwanese, I’m glad I can taste Taiwanese tea in the UK. It makes me feel like going back to Taiwan and already visited many times. Their dessert is good, and I like scones with black tea. The charming setting provides a view of the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey from their historic York Street building. Really delicious, high-quality chocolate. Amazing cheesecake. Need to ensure when ordering the hot chocolate you do have to mix it yourself for a good five minutes to make sure that there isn’t all that yummy chocolate left at the bottom of your cup. For some reason they don’t mix it for you! Nice ambiance opposite Bath abbey. they offer chocolate buttons and mini chocolate bars and a café where you can enjoy cakes and drinks.

They serve a must-try classic hot chocolate. The right balance of chocolate and milk. Not overly sweet nor too milky. It’s perfect after a walk in the chilly weather around lovely Bath. Tried their white ganache stuffed cookie, it was good but probably too sweet for my taste. Still a 5/5 classic hot chocolate for me.

Picnic Coffee is a charming café located in Bath, UK, offering a cozy and laid-back ambiance for patrons to enjoy an exceptional coffee experience. The cafe prides itself on its dedication to quality and innovation, evident in its diverse menu featuring expertly crafted beverages, including classic espresso drinks and inventive seasonal specials.
Picnic was located really close to my hotel, and since I was staying for a few days, I was looking for a cozy spot to work remotely for a couple of hours. What a cute coffee shop! I enjoyed a nice peppermint tea, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. I loved the music, too. I ended up coming here a few times during my stay — highly recommend!
Madison S — Google review
We stopped by Picnic Coffee for lunch on Christmas Eve. The food was okay, but they initially told us they only had enough bread for one sandwich, though they managed to find enough for two in the end. Unfortunately, there was no side salad or anything extra with the sandwiches, so they felt pretty basic. None of the smoothies were available, which we could understand given it was Christmas Eve, but we were in early for lunch so it was surprising they managed to run out so early. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but not great either. The price was a bit steep for a couple of fairly simple toasted sandwiches.
Dave B — Google review
From the smell as you go in you can tell that the coffee is going to be good. I had a really nice latte that was more on the strong end with woody and slight caramel notes. For £3.75 it feels pretty steep and I wanted to hate it but actually do rate the coffee. Service was friendly. The decor is simple but nice with plenty of light. I did also like that they had a coffee flavour wheel on the wall that I could look at while trying my coffee too.

I would not recommend wasting your money at Picnic Coffee! On Monday I came in to pick up a coffee before I went to work, when the barista passed me the coffee I did wonder why it felt so light - usually when I’m walking the coffee spills a bit on lid. When I got in the office I opened the lid to find that the coffee wasn’t even half full. I find it particularly rude due to the barista being happy handing me a half finished coffee knowing that I wouldn’t necessarily take the lid off to check, but also that I’ve reached out to Picnic coffee about this since and they haven’t even bothered to respond. Used to be a 5* for me. Still amazing coffee, but sadly another has fallen to American tipping culture. Would you like to 1) pay up to an extra £3 on your £3.25 coffee, or 2) be made to feel awkward pressing the "no tip" button 🫣

The Darling Deli is a great little find with some fantastic home-made selections. The food is really tasty and the coffee is excellent. They always come across as positive, polite and professional which makes it a great place to visit.
We stopped at the deli to get a picnic for a day out at the park. The food was delicious with a fantastic selection of salads and cakes. The member of staff who served me was lovely - really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I thoroughly recommend this place!

If they have the audacity to charge £6.50 for a stone-cold ham and cheese sandwich, then one at least expects service with a smile.

Great selection of salads, sandwiches and cakes. Great coffee too! Had the Beef Burrito special and it was so tasty. Always stop for lunch here when working in Combe Down

Beautiful deli tucked away down a quiet street. Lovely friendly staff and great food available at a really good cost. Made in store daily, I tried a New Yorker sandwich and it was devine! Quick service too, and the quality and location being beside a lovely park means that I wasn't bothered about the lack of indoor seating! Highly recommend 🥰

We got a full house Bap, a sausage roll and a Scottish egg. All was very good and tasty. The staff very friendly. The place clean and tidy. Very nice little place and it has a lot of ready meals Afro breakfast or lunch. I’ll be coming back if I am around. I found the prices reasonable.

Staff and place are lovely. Great local atmosphere, very friendly and prompt service. Fab location. Only feedback would be, change the vegi sausages, very dry. Only use two, save yourself some money. I'm happy having them cut I half. Sorry to say mushrooms a bit rubbery.

Good coffee, delicious salads, perfect cakes, and friendly staff. I used to sit and have coffee there before I took my son from the Combe Down Primary once upon a time. And then I would have take away salads for dinner at home.

Landrace Bakery is a popular spot in Bath known for its delectable pastries and baked goods. The bakery offers a variety of treats, including their famous sourdough bread made from locally sourced South West grains. They also serve Round Hill Roastery Coffees and Post Card teas to accompany their freshly-made cakes and pastries.
Amazing pastries, clearly made fresh on the day. We tried the cinnamon bun, the apricot croissant and the chocolate cookie. All were outstanding, but the last of these was so good that we bought another one to take on the train back to London. We're coming back later in the year for another Bath day trip, and will definitely pop back in for some more train snacks. It's just a shame there's not more seating available (we got a seat, but it was early and it filled up really fast!).

Absolutely delicious pastries, especially the pistachio croissant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, overall a very good experience. However, falls just short of five stars due to the high prices of pastries and sandwiches, still can’t justify paying 6 pounds for a croissant.

Honestly the best cinnamon bun I have ever had! Absolutely incredible cafe, we went twice in 24 hours. It’s lovely you can see them making next door in the bakery. Also a lovely different selection of pastries with slightly different flavours. It does get a bit tight sitting down if it gets busy downstairs, we didn’t go upstairs.
Hannah F — Google review
We came two days in a row and both times were blown away! The pastries are really high quality and the bread is some of the best I have had, plus there is a great selection of products to purchase in store. Loved to hear that they mill their own flour and I’m looking forward to baking with it at home. Raspberry Bakewell and pistachio cornetto were my personal favorites but honestly everything was delicious and my family kept ordering more to try. Drinks were also really good! The staff was lovely and very accommodating. Can’t wait to be back

Hits the spot every time, several spots indeed - the experience is never the same as the menu is seasonal and well crafted with no ponce It’s Like Listening Rick Astley from the eighties hits….hit after hit after hit The beginning always on point The middle always banging The ending always happy Like the great man said “Never gonna give You up”…Landrace for President

Delicious, daily made baked goods that will make it difficult to stop at just one. We stayed in Bath for 5 days and quickly became regulars at Landrace. They now serve pizza in the evenings and it was delicious as well. Highly recommend if you want fresh, delicious baked goods, exceptional coffee, pizza and service.

Alright hear me now, not so long ago I went to Bath to explore and although I didn’t find too many foodie gems over there that I was interested in exploring it did find this place. Welcome to Landrace bakery, and just like any independent bakery timing is everything because they only have a certain amount of certain baked goods. I went there on a quest to try their cinnamon buns but on arrival I was evidently too late. However since we were there so I decided to broaden my horizon in relation to baked goods. They didn’t have plain croissant so I went for a pistachio cream filled one which wasn’t as sweet as I wanted it to be but had more of a grounded flavour to it, it was very flakey and made really well but i could’ve done without the filling. I also got something I’ve never tried before which was called a Greengage Bakewell, my thought process was “it had fruits on it so surely it couldn’t be too bad”. No aspects of this was too sweet it was really quite subtle with a mixture of tartness from some of the fruits a bit of creaminess from the clotted creams and some hints of sharpness from some of the other fruits. I wouldn’t get it again but it wasn’t terrible. I ended it off with a blueberry milkshake which was weirdly refreshing not at all what I would consider a milkshake to be but it was very light not too milky and the blueberries really came three I actually liked that quite a lot but my problem with it, was it was very small. Overall I’ll give it a 6.7/10

Yeah, love this place. A Guardian journalist genuinely tried to interview me in the queue as he was writing an article on people who travel hours to go to the best bakeries in the country, and wanted to know if it applied to me... That should tell you how good it is! Obviously would recommend, great options for sweet and savoury and if you can grab a bench in the sun outside it's a great way to start a morning.

Sugarcane Studio 甘蔗工作室 is a French patisserie in Bath with an Asian twist, founded by pastry chef Fang-Yu Lin. The shop specializes in macarons that blend classic flavors like chocolate and mixed berries with more exotic options such as earl grey, black sesame, matcha, and yuzu & genmaicha. Customers rave about the delicious cakes and choux buns that are considered works of art.
Tucked away in the corner off Argyle Street, you can find the cozy Sugarcane Studio cafe. Serving pastries & drinks, the ambiance was very inviting. Ordered an iced yuzu hojicha latte with oat milk. First time I ever saw such a combination- very well crafted! The salted egg pastry was a nice surprise. Savory & hit the spot! If I lived in Bath, this would be one of the coffee shops I’d visit almost every day!

To be honest, the cake didn’t impressed me in any way. The whipped cream flowers look very beautiful, but they may only attract whipped cream lovers; in fact, I feel that it would taste better if I picked them out. The jelly-like appearance of the top layer of the cake does not match the other layers. The taste is not harmonious. In my humble opinion, the cake is more for viewing than for eating. My friend had some feeling as well. Maybe we rushed in 20 minutes before the closing time that day, but the staff didn’t look to be in a nice mood that day. Despite of this experience, I hope I didn’t lost interest in similar independent shops. I might say that the dining experience and predictable expectations of chain dessert shops in the future would make people like me less likely to lose interest in desserts.

What a hidden gem. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. We just had a long lunch and only brought some takeaways. They are not cheap but worth it. The cake is amazing. Next time will have drink and cake in the shop.

I’ve been a fan of sugarcane since I first discovered this gem in Bath earlier this year (chocolate and raspberry tart is 10/10). A month ago I approached Fang to create a bespoke order for my Dad’s book launch. His book cover was colourful and I thought macarons to match would look amazing as a marketing edible. Fang and the team made the most incredible macarons in a pina colada flavour and they were a huge hit during the evening. All guests were so excited and so was the man of the hour. Thank you so much for adding such a special touch to a special event.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to see any of the beautiful cakes on display at Edible Art Patisserie Macaron Boutique Bath. However, I did indulge in some delicious macaroons that were not only more affordable but also tastier than those from Harrods. The macarons were both nice and pretty, with a wide variety of flavors available, including four options for vegans.
Delicious! We had a green apple and a pear, extremely high quality desserts. Nice and light and very unique! Good selection of hot drinks as well. A must try in Bath!

A lot of gluten free. Lovely staff. Delicious cakes. The man working there told me they try and do as much gluten free as they can. The honeycomb cake was particularly good.

Very nice and pretty macarons. Plenty of flavours including four vegan options. Shop was open on a Monday although Google maps suggested otherwise, thus a pleasant surprise for me.

They have these yummy lovely adorable delicious edible macaroons. There are 4 vegan options and the interesting thing is even passion fruit macaroons just melt in the mouth and it's the best. The strawberry macaroon is another legendary one. It's the top of the four. Then comes the chocolate and mint chocolate which are like another marvel. Chocolate lovers would lovooovvvveeee this one. And for a sweet tooth this is a must visit place. The service is good. Friendly staff and the place's ambience is good. Reasonable for their lovely food art which is edible of course. A MUST VISIT. I'm writing this almost after a week and I want to go to Bath just to visit this place. Turns out there is another big store in Cheltenham and they do home delivery as well 😍 It would be a special occasion treat from now on. Or even a monthly self appraisal.
Jandhyala D — Google review
Sadly I did not get to see any of the lovely cakes on show BUT I had some scrum-diddly-umptios macaroons. At £3 for the two it was far cheaper and better tasting if not made! Than Harrods.
Hope M — Google review
I was honestly kind of disappointed. I traveled all the way from London to taste Damien Wager's pastry and although impeccably stunning (as seen on social media), the texture of the mousse cakes felt like it wasn't made fresh on the day; Or maybe it was and the mousse was just on the dense side. Additionally, I found the pastries a bit too sweet; Afterwards it made sense why I felt that way because some of the pastries are dipped into white chocolate and then into glaze. Finally, I bought some chocolates to go because they had really interesting flavors like bubblegum, carrot cake, chili dark chocolate, and raspberry-rose but the flavors of all of them were really weak.

Nestled within the DoubleTree by Hilton, Emma's Bar & Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that perfectly complements your visit to Bath. Imagine indulging in afternoon tea while soaking in stunning views of the River Avon and the iconic Pulteney Bridge. You can choose between sweet or savory options, with highlights like mini ploughmans and goats cheese cheesecake. For dinner, Emma's shines with its warm atmosphere and attentive service from staff like Amelia, who is eager to guide you through their menu.
Came yesterday (Monday the 24th of March) here with a Friend as a close mutual acquaintance of ours worked here as a waiter. Great experience, when we arrived were greeted by Manuel the table desk operator and then we were shown to our table by our close mutual acquaintance Harry and he showed us the menu and said we could either order buffet of Full English/Continental or order of the menu so one of us chose the full English and I chose the continental as I am a vegetarian, it very nice as there was also a small salad bar which I have not experience in a breakfast in England before, only in Sweden for breakfast. Overall fantastic reasonably busy for Monday, great service, great food, the only downside was that they were showing the news on the TV but other than well recommend. Also a bonus half price reduction in cost which we did not specifically ask for.

Pretty good, but not the best place in town. The trio of pies was delicious, the schnitzel is solid if you skip the weird overcooked egg (I asked for lemon instead, IMO a better choice). Fish and chips was pretty average - too much breading and seemed like middling quality filet. The seating can either be cozy or super weird. We stayed at the hotel and had a couple meals here. Once they sat us right next to another group - elbow to elbow - despite the place being empty. Awkward. Tonight it was more comfortably arranged. Staff are nice but seem disorganized - I think it’s partly the physical layout of the space, which is a bit odd.

We came in for dinner during our recent visit to Bath. The Reuben Croquettes were delicious. We had the fish and chips for our main course, the fish was moist on the inside with a crispy coating and wonderful tartar sauce. My husband enjoyed a bottle of their Old Mout Berries and Cherries cider. I enjoyed the Ginger beer. Our waiter Nathan was very attentive and friendly.
Jamie B — Google review
£15 for full English breakfast was disappointed with the quality of the food. The fried egg was overcooked and the sausages were tough to chew. You would think a restaurant at the four star restaurant can cook a very decent breakfast. Especially at the price they charge.
David R — Google review
After a day of business in Bath, I needed dinner to refuel so I chose to dine here. Right off the bat I was greeted by a smiley Amelia who made sure everything was done perfectly. It took her a couple of minutes to accommodate me to a large table. She had great knowledge of the menu so I chose to trust her recommendations. I will admit that she was right - the Fried chicken bites and the peri peri burger were delicious. The bun was warm, chicken was tender, and the bites were crispy but juicy. It’s a place I will return to. Not purely for the food, but for Amelia’s service which is far superior to anything else I experienced in Bath or Bristol.
Mario M — Google review
Unfortunately I am not a fan of giving one star reviews. Unorganised in seating us, however the servers were nice. I wouldn't by any means suggest eating here, it may look nice, your typical hotel restaurant menu but this place needs a new chef. Soggy thick batter on the fish and WAY to much salt in the gravy. We went straight to waitrose after to get some food and rennies, and I've never had to do that before. For the price (for which they add VAT so the prices are not so reasonable) you can walk a few yards down the road and find many a nice restaurant.
Luke H — Google review
Nice Hotel Restaurant. Food is pretty good and tasty. Waiting time was not long. But, book a table on the weekend. It gets full quite quickly.
David F — Google review
What a shame. I was going to refute other negative reviews. I was greeted well, order taken promptly and food arrived quite quickly. It was good. Then it changed. After waiting half an hour- the restaurant was quiet, I had to go to the bar to ask for the dessert menu- she was washing glasses. Then to cap it all, they refused to accept cash. I had no credit card on me. They said they don't deal with cash at all. I left the cash anyway. For a hotel chain, they need some serious staff retraining!

With an array of flavors to choose from, including Apple & Blackcurrant flapjacks, the shop provides an exciting experience for those looking to indulge in unique treats.
Service was impeccable, great information, amazing gluten free options in almost everything and delicious flapjacks. Only comment (not a criticism!) is that the rhubarb flapjack lacked rhubarb flavour and needed a bit more tart rhubarb to counter the sweetness. Highly recommend and will look forward to my next visit
Chris L — Google review
Great concept for a shop! I've always been partial to the buttery goodness of a proper flapjack so was overjoyed to stumble upon this place. They've a great variety of toppings and I genuinely found it difficult to choose between them. They are £4.50 a slab so getting multiple can get expensive really quickly. I opted for the peanut fudge. The topping was flavourful enough even if the amount of chocolate could have been increased to provide more contrast in taste. The flapjack itself is fine but not the superlative experience you might hope - not dry but not moist and lacking many of those trademark golden syrupy, biscuity, buttery notes. It's ok. It just has the potential to be so much more.
Spencer O — Google review

Firstly, the customer service was impeccable - the shop assistant was chatty and warm and we had a lovely conversation :D They were very helpful and didn’t push me to buy more than I wanted, while still politely letting me know about their offers. It was also lovely to know I’m supporting a small, family run business. The interior was cute, warm and cosy and everything was perfectly organised and clean. All flapjacks were separately sealed for freshness and to avoid cross-contamination which I really appreciate due to my allergies. It would be a great spot for locals and tourists alike as it has a very unique and quintessentially British vibe. Finally, the flapjack! I got salted caramel brownie and it was, no exaggeration, the best flapjack I have ever eaten!! They have a huge variety of flavours and also sell other treats such as fudge and chocolate which looked delicious! Another great bonus is the huge variety of vegan and gluten free options. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back to try everything else they sell! A must for anyone visiting bath :D

How is this, in the year 2023, a unique business? Brilliant idea, and brilliantly executed. Well worth a visit - it's a family business, the staff are lovely, and the flapjacks don't disappoint. Good value for money and with a good selection of vegan and gluten free options, as well as other options (fudge, chocolates, etc) for anyone who somehow doesn't enjoy flapjacks. We visited and picked up a couple of vegan flapjacks as well as some chocolate-covered coffee beans. They kindly let us put all this into the deal they had going (3 for 2, or something like that) given our more limited options - we didn't ask for this, they just offered. Great service.

Nestled just a short distance from the vibrant heart of Bath, Bailbrook House Hotel is a stunning Georgian mansion that offers an enchanting escape into history and luxury. Set within 20 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, this Grade II listed hotel boasts breathtaking views over the city and its picturesque countryside. Originally built in the early 1790s as a private residence, it exudes timeless elegance with its charming architecture and sophisticated interiors.
I stayed at Bailbrook House along with 80 or so fellow weddings guests at a family wedding. The Bailbrook team are excellent. They couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We all felt that they were genuinely interested in the wedding, and in our extended family. I'm an extensive traveller for business and pleasure and that level of care is not usual. We cannot thank the team more. The beds were comfy and there was a good range of breakfast items. We enjoyed a pre-wedding party barbeque one evening which was delicious and catered to various dietary needs. The hotel is located in beautiful grounds, fifteen minutes from the city centre.

Nice experience, great setting in beautiful countryside. Lots of businesses use the hotel for meetings etc. Nothing was to much trouble for the Hotel staff which was appreciated. The only drawback which is not of the hotels making is the building is set at the top of a huge bank which is not conjusive for easy access if you are walking.

Exceptional service, beautiful hotel in a great location. Rooms a little dated but very clean and spacious. I really can’t emphasis enough how fabulous the service was at Bailbrook House. Gems on reception was so warm, friendly, and attentive and all of the staff from those at breakfast to the gentlemen who brought us room service on multiple occasions were just fantastic. We visited as part of a larger group for a birthday party nearby and nothing was too much trouble. The staff even found some cufflinks for one of the guests who had forgotten his! Breakfast was great, as was the room service and cocktails. Such a reasonable price too at £220 for 2 nights during a busy weekend. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back, and are considering visiting other hotels within the Handpicked chain because of how good this experience was!

Cafe Retro is a vintage-style cafe located in Bath, offering a blend of comfort, convenience, and quality. It's popular among students and professionals for its locally sourced breakfast and all-day menu. The cafe is just a short walk from the Roman Baths and is dog-friendly. Situated on York Street, it provides a trendy environment with options ranging from light breakfasts to hot and cold foods at reasonable prices.
When you visit Bath, you can just get overwhelmed by the choice of places to discover and where to stop for a bit to enjoy a nice coffee and a great breakfast. We actually probably walked 20 minutes pondering where to go until we saw Cafe Retro around the corner. It was the perfect stop! Great atmosphere, good choice of tasty food and beverages. It really helped us relaxing before going back out to enjoy playing tourists! Worth a stop if you are in Bath.

A great place for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Roman Baths. The service was friendly and quick. The food was good and there are plenty of options to choose from. What's the daily specials and what looks like some very tasty desserts. Cafe Retro was on the small side but it was cosy and just what we needed for an afternoon meal.
Susan P — Google review
The portions were pretty small compared to what I'm used to but the food itself was freshly cooked and could not be faulted. The staff were very friendly and were attentive throughout our visit. One thing I did comment on at the time was the fact the sausage would've been better if it was more herby, it tasted like the sausages used in a sausage in batter at a chip shop. I guess that's personal preference and would recommend this place to others for a reasonably priced bite to eat a cooked breakfast in Bath centre.
Alex W — Google review
It's a nice cosy place with really friendly staff. It is perfect for families and groups of people. I ordered the retro English breakfast. I also ordered a single shot latte but I got a double shot instead. The coffee is not worth ordering as it was burned and took ages to cool down. However the manager was lovely and I didn't even ask for a refund when she told me she would refund the coffee that I didn't touch at all. 4 stars for the service and breakfast.

Whilst looking around the area and deciding where to eat , we found the Cafe Retro and had a really nice breakfast here. It wasn't a cheap meal but you are worth remembering 'you get what you pay for' and we certainly did. It was nice well cooked quality food, of which we both enjoyed. It's a shame we didn't get back there for a dinner too as I'm sure that would've been just as tasty. Lovely staff and excellent service. Thanks

Guilty for Innocent sake...Having been loyal customers, who always sought an opportunity to visit this little cafe, our experience this week has ended the relationship. Thirsty, we were excited to see ‘fresh’ smoothies available. Priced at £3.10 each it was a bit of a treat for two of us. Two small unimpressive glasses of liquid arrived that had a familiar taste. On visiting the bathroom, past the kitchens, my partner saw bottles of Innocent smoothies in the fridge. Clearly this is what we were being served at a grossly over inflated price, that reflected a sense of greed and cynicism. Why not just advertise the fact that you’re selling Innocent product instead of deliberately trying to hide that information. It’s neither necessary or transparent. Indeed it may be illegal from a TSA point of view. Your blackboard had plenty of space to tell the truth but you elected to leave the information out. The result is we feel a breach of trust and now wonder what else may be missing in terms of key information about ingredients or products. Bottom line, on the same day you were selling small glasses of Innocent smoothies to customers believing they were getting a fresh home made product, Morrison’s were selling litre bottles of the exact same smoothie for £2 each. The Choux Box Patisserie, located at Alexandra Park viewpoint in Bath, is a delightful spot known for its unique and flavorful patisseries. Run by pastry chef Orlando Partner, who honed his skills in Michelin-starred restaurants, the patisserie offers sweet treats with a twist. Using locally sourced ingredients within a 20-mile radius of Bath and blending classic French techniques with modern flavors, the choux buns are a must-try.
We've been big fans of the choux box patisserie for a few years now and always get some when we visit either Bath or Bristol. We knew that we needed it for our wedding. We had so many compliments on the day about how amazing they were and so different to a traditional wedding cake! They'll always be my favourite desserts
Emily B — Google review
As long time fans of The Choux Box Patisserie, we knew when my niece asked for an alternative wedding cake their buns would be perfect. And they were! The 7 tier tower looked stunning garnished in macarons and little flowers and, as always, the buns were absolutely delicious. The bride couldn’t decide on her flavour favourites during tasting, so we chose to have them all. We are glad we did! Sophie was brilliant at keeping us informed of our order and we were very grateful that Orlando offered a delivery and set up service on the day, making the whole experience completely stress free. Thank you so much for making our nieces special day so delicious!

Our easiest and first wedding decision made was to have the choux tower for our alternative to a wedding cake. We have always been BIG fans of choux box patisserie and have supported the business since the very beginning. We were so excited to share how incredible Orlando’s choux buns are! They went down a storm and have been talked about endlessly. Everyone one was perfection and communication was excellent. We will continue to celebrate anything big or small with a choux bun 💕

Very nice lady! The choux buns were absolutely delicious. Every flavor was phenomenal. We also got a couple hot chocolates.

Easily the best choux buns you'll ever have! From a regular customer over the last few years. Customer service when I ordered buns for a birthday was also excellent. Please re-open somewhere in Bristol!

Highly recommend the choux bun and macaron towers for any events! We had one for our wedding and it went down so well with our guests, it looked gorgeous and was delicious! We’ve had multiple guests say how much they loved it in lieu of a wedding cake.

Choux-stopping & Scrumptious! Choux Box Patisserie is a puffed-up paradise of flavour and finesse! Specialising solely in sweet and savoury choux buns, this delightful destination delivers bite-sized brilliance in every bun. We’ve been lucky enough to attend a couple of their charming cream teas, and let me tell you—they are choux-perb showcases of style and substance. From perfectly piped pastries to freshly brewed blends, every detail is deliciously thought through. The choux buns—served sweet and savoury—make the usual scone and jam feel like a distant memory! Their weekly sweet flavour is always a playful, palate-pleasing surprise—think passionfruit pop, caramel crunch, or berry-burst beauties (my fave!) that are as pretty as they are punchy. The savoury choux? A symphony of seasoning and softness, a brunch bonanza- each one a fluffy, flavour-packed revelation. Orlando, the owner and puff-pastry prodigy, brings a warm, welcoming energy that makes every visit feel special. His creativity, consistency, and clear love for choux are the secret ingredients in this choux-centric success. Whether you're stopping in for a quick treat or settling in for a cream tea to remember, Choux Box Patisserie is a must-visit. Now Orlando please can you do a vegan version too! My daughter has a dairy allergy and she’s missing out!
Denise N — Google review
The Choux Box provided a choux pastry tower for our wedding in place of a traditional cake, and we were thrilled with how it turned out. We got so many compliments and it looked and tasted amazing. Thanks to Orlando for setting it up on the day!

The Restaurant at The Bath Priory offers a refined dining experience with modern French cuisine and carefully selected wines in a beautiful setting overlooking the hotel's gardens. The a la carte menu features dishes like Devon white crab, Himalayan salt chamber dry aged fillet of beef, and apricot souffle.
We were blown out of the water with how amazing the dinner is. I’m very surprised they don’t have a Michelin star. It was so good we went twice and each time we were just as amazed. From the amuse bouche to the turmeric bread with smoked butter, to the starter, main dish, to the amazing dessert. Everything was delicious and wows not just your taste buds but also your eyes. I absolutely loved the quail starter, the turbot main entree was so beautiful and tasty and the second night the lamb was out of this world, the souflee was absolutely incredible, and the chocolate passion fruit dessert was invigorating. The turmeric and caraway seed bread is something I constantly talk about. I’ve never had such a delicious bread. The smoke butter was on a whole other level. Highly recommend.

The food was fine. Service overall was very disappointing given the price and reputation, the individual waitress was lovely but the booking process and overall experience was not acceptable for the price.
Georges B — Google review
Very disappointing. No reservation despite phoning and having long discussion with hotel day before about choice between Pantry and Restaurant.. and confirming details back to me. Food good but service utterly dreadful .. no sense of care or attention throughout. Sometime fine dining restaurants can be a little over attentive (filling water every moment you take a sip) - but this was a complete opposite! Waited 20 minutes for glass of wine and pattern continued whole evening. Very very mediocre.

Nestled conveniently near the city center, this charming café is renowned for its enchanting atmosphere and delectable offerings. Picture yourself enjoying an exquisite afternoon tea surrounded by pastel hues and whimsical decor.
My wife & I came here for breakfast and we were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with everything. I would highly recommend this place as the staff were extremely friendly and attentive especially as it was busy. We were served by Kaylesha who exemplified this. The food was amazing, very tasty & overall we were very happy. We would definitely come back & recommend this to anyone.

The place was aesthetically pleasing, I visited Bath for 3 days and on my last day there I tried this shop, for an afternoon tea, as I was tired strolling around the town. There I was, resting and I tried their biscoff cupcake and a pot of tea. It was a nice experience, they just seemed a bit lack of staff, there were only 2 of them, and it was a bit busy, the other one felt like she was new. Other than that it was a good experience.
Noemi B — Google review
Gluten-free afternoon tea and other options here. When people are kind enough to make gluten free available, I really appreciate it. They were not the best gluten free scones I have had but that certainly were not the worst. The staff is great, fun setting raritos the corner from the Gainsborough Spa and Thermal Spa and basically everything. Bath is very walkable and lovely. My salad was great and the lavender camomile tea was really good.

Booked this tea room as our 8 year old loves anything pink and floral. It was a big hit ! We had tea and scones, it was fresh and delicious- so good. I don't drink tea and they happily swapped that for delicious hot chocolate. Our daughter wanted a smoked salmon bagel, she was very pleased as they weren't stingy with the salmon. We definitely recommend visiting here if ever in Bath, make sure you book in advance. They turned away so many ppl as there was no space.

Really beautiful and well decorated restaurant. Staff are helpful, patient and kind. Had the vegan hot chocolate with vegan whipped cream which was delicious. I would definitely go back to try the other vegan options and they have a high tea vegan option.

I was super excited to try this cafe. It’s ever so colourful and pretty inside, staff were quick at welcoming us and took our orders but we had to wait quite a while for our hot drinks to arrive. And though the drinks looked very cute they were actually near cold, so very disappointing. The cup cakes however were amazing! So if you have a sweet tooth who likes pink then this is definitely your go-to!!! Fab cake 😀and someone was seated next to us, indulging a cream tea and it looked divine!
Nina D — Google review
Popped in for an impromptu afternoon tea and was thankful we were able to be seated without a reservation (unlike many places in Bath currently). I loved the Prosecco + tea experience, and the staff couldn’t have been any nicer. The restaurant is open about the fact that they are understaffed at the moment — all the more reason to savor your tea patiently, taking in Bath’s beautiful city center as you do so 🙂

Cornish Bakehouse is a traditional pasty producer offering a variety of meat and vegetarian options with different fillings. Customers praise the tasty and affordable pasties, such as the Traditional Cornish Steak Pasty, Creamy Chicken, and Cheese & Bacon. The service is described as speedy and friendly, making it convenient for a quick snack on the go. Visitors appreciate the wide selection available to cater to various preferences, including spicy and vegan options.
Needed a quick snack and fancied something reasonably priced that I could have on the go. Service was speedy and friendly. Went for the cheese and onion pasty, which was £4.15. Was very tasty and quite filling, which did me fine. There is plenty of choice to suit most people.

Usually I don't buy from this store it's one more in Bath, the double chocolate doughnuts absolutely horrible 😫 old, definitely no fresh I buy 4 go through in the bin, quality 👎was my favorite doughnuts no more from today DISAPPOINTED 😞
Karla R — Google review
Passed this store and tempted to try one because the sign said "Award Winning Cornish Pasties". I asked for a chocolate croissant, not a pasty, because I just wanted a light snack. The staff gave me the chocolate puff pastry twist (I don't what they call it in that store, but that's the name I know). It wasn't fresh, not crunchy, didn't taste as expected. There's no seating area inside the store. Toilet for customers is not available.
Marta D — Google review
Anticipation was high. I quite like a pastie.. the front of the shop is well presented and clean.. there was a small line of customers. They have a variety of sizes and flavours.. I got the large traditional cornish.. I was expecting a savoury experience however it was more like a stew. None the less it was devoured hastily.
Nongaboy — Google review
Service is great, they're very kind. Price for the food is reasonable. Though I'd say that the panini's/sandwiches, they weren't necessarily appetising in terms of uniqueness or what was added, like perhaps salad could be automatically added, but that's just my opinion.
Jayo — Google review
Tasty and affordable pasties here. I'm still unclear about the difference between a pasty and a meat pie. But never mind that, because it didn't stop us from ordering 3 of them: Traditional Cornish Steak Pasty with potato and onions, Creamy Chicken with chicken breast, potatoes, leeks, and onions in bechamel sauce, Cheese & Bacon with cheddar, smoked bacon, potato and onions. The crunchy edges of the dough were neatly folded and the pasties were satisfying just to look at. I wouldn't say the filling is incredible, but these were my first pasties and I liked them.
Joy — Google review
American here. Got the sausage roll. Very DISAPPOINTED. It was a bland meat paste inside of a baked pastry. No flavor, no spices. La Baguette has a better sausage roll with actual seasoning you can taste and for less. I cannot speak for the other items listed on the menu though.

Such a wonderful family-owned cafe! Outside seating is a dream when weather is nice & cozy warm seating inside on colder weather. This is definitely my favourite cafe in Bath! The staff are very friendly, and so helpful! The food is impeccable! Their English Breakfast and pastries are my favourite! A must try in Bath!

I’ll just come right out and say it. The food was dire. My eggs in my eggs Royale were over cooked/ no runny yolk. My English muffin saturated with fish juice. The smoked salmon of low quality (large fat line served). Holland’s se not fresh. What prevents 1 star is my hot chocolate which was really good. Tasted rich and creamy. My Turkish baklava was also very nice. A pastry seeped in honey and chopped nuts. Unique and different.
Barry C — Google review
The coffee was delicious! We had 2 oat milk lattes, a oat flat white and a Turkish coffee. The service was kind and quick. I do disagree with charging extra for alternative milks. There isn’t much of a difference in supermarket price between cows milk or oat milk. It’s also very normal these days to ask for alternative milks. Also, the toilets were a bit dirty when we went. It’s off putting for customers when the bathroom isn’t clean. The coffee is great, so we will be back!

Nestled on Dorchester Street, Mokoko Coffee is a charming independent café that perfectly captures the essence of a cozy coffee spot. This delightful little shop boasts an impressive array of coffee-making gadgets, making it feel like a haven for coffee enthusiasts without any pretentiousness.
This shop is very near to Roman Bath. We manage to grab a sourdough egg salad sandwich and a mozzarella tomato focaccia. Both are really tasty and good for a rush lunch. Next, we should try their coffee and lattes. They are looking very good.

Great pastries, really are good, fresh and sell out quickly. Served by 3 different staff who are all ok but look like they are either rushed, not enjoying themselves or don't want to be there. Had better service elsewhere but not better pastries.

my favourite pastry, every time come to Bath will have their croissant, but I like take it home and reheat it, so all the crunchy layer pastry could stand out, wish they could do that for customers in the shop as well.

As a coffee lover, I have to admit the coffee isn't anything spectacular. Service was mediocre. The atmosphere is great, especially the tables outside, overlooking the main cathedral and the Roman baths. There were some good-looking sandwiches but I didn't try them, so I cannot comment. I came in for the coffee and it was a bit disappointing, so overall I cannot recommend to others, sorry.

Srishti S — Google review
I came to Bath recently, for the first time, on a mini little break before starting at the University part time. I did my research before travelling, and saw Mokoko was highly rated due to its pastries and scenic location right by Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. I decided to add it to my foodie list, and arrived as the shop opened at 9am, and it was a Monday. I was so earlier the pastries had not been put out on the counter! I had planned to get an Almond Croissant, seeing amazing reviews for this, but overheard that these were not on the menu on that day (something to keep in mind if you're going for a specific item!). I wondered what else was on the menu and was given a list of options, where I picked the Almond Praline Chocolate Pain Suisse. It was a mild morning so I was able to sit outside, looking onto the amazing view of the Abbey - as well as the pastry! Now this was definitely one of the prettiest pastries I have even seen, which was a very positive start. Given the pastries had just been bought out I did almost expect it to be warm, which it was not at all. Nevertheless, I bit into the pain suisse. This was beautiful. The pastry was amazingly crispy and buttery - you can tell they use real butter opposed to margarine (not only by the taste but also by how the pastry comes together when you bite into it). The filling was plentiful, and the nuttiness well balanced with the chocolate. This is one of the best pastries I have ever eaten, made better by the views this place has to offer. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend popping by Mokoko if you're in Bath, and intend on returning myself (hopefully to try the Almond Croissant!)

Mokoko Coffee is a local favorite known for its great coffee and friendly staff. Customers often praise the welcoming atmosphere and the helpfulness of employees like Lori, who is known for her excellent recommendations and customer service. However, some patrons have noted occasional issues with pastry availability at certain branches. Despite this, many visitors rely on Mokoko for their morning coffee fix, with one person highlighting the exceptional barista skills and high-quality beverages.
One of the best flat whites I've had in a long time. Incredible to watch the barista brewing the coffee. Fresh ground for each cup, he weighs out 14grams before the brew stage. So smooth and a perfect strength. And really good croissants...

I’m a local and really fond of Mokoko - the coffee is great and the people are usually lovely - but I’m often perplexed by their lack of pastries! There are never pastries in the Dorchester St branch when it opens at 8, and the Southgate hut frequently sells out really quickly (ie by 11am this morning when I stopped by!) - but the bakery is just down the road?! I would be spending a lot more money there if they kept the amazing almond croissants in stock, and they must miss out on quite a lot of commuter business early morning 🤷‍♀️ But I’ll keep going back for the coffee, and I hope they do better at stocking their delicious pastries in future 🙏

Every morning before work, I can always rely on my favourite place for an amazing cup of coffee. Mokoko has been the most accommodating but what really tops it off is the staff. Parsons Bakery Ltd is a long-standing, family-operated bakery chain that offers an assortment of cakes, breads, pastries, and handmade sandwiches. Customers rave about the quality and variety of their pasties and pastries. The bacon and sausage sandwich served on thick doorstep bread is highly praised for its taste and generous portion size. Many patrons find this sandwich to be satisfying enough to sustain them until late afternoon.
Had a comically big sausage sandwich from here - I had to work out how best to approach it. Sandwich and coffee were £4.50, which is a deal I think most places would struggle to beat. Didn't buy a cake but they all looked good and the prices were very reasonable.
Amy A — Google review
Lovely local bakery that does a devilishly tasty bacon sandwich in doorstep slices of fresh bread which I devoured before thinking it could have done with another slice to go with the ample bread. That's just me being greedy !! Great price in a deal with a hot drink and very friendly service, I shall return. Only drawback would be parking , one needs to be lucky or patient !
Graeme B — Google review
Depending on who serves you depends massively what sandwich you get. Last week decent thick cut bread and a couple of sausages and bacon but the last two times very thin cut bread and 1 sausage cut in half and 2 stringy bits of bacon. Not up to their normal standard or what we have experienced at other times but when I asked about it they have said this is what it should look like.

The store is good, well stocked, we wanted a coffee and that's where it let its self down. Lots of staff, but from placing our order to getting 4 hot drinks was 20mins. I know this doesn't seem long but the queues were backing up. There was one person making drinks, and one being shown how to much drinks, but a actually making customer drinks. Lots of people not happy about the wait, hot food seemed to be coming out quickly, in fact some people's food was coming out before they got their drinks.
David B — Google review
I am writing to express my deep frustration, disappointment, and anger following an extremely unpleasant and distressing experience at one of your stores. This incident has left me feeling not only mistreated as a customer, but also deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome — with strong suspicion of racial discrimination. I have been a loyal and frequent customer of M&S for years, regularly purchasing food, clothing, homeware, and cosmetics. However, after this experience, I no longer feel safe or respected shopping at your stores, and I intend to share this experience publicly and file a formal complaint. I recently visited your store to purchase a pair of shoes. The pair I found was the last one in my size, but it had clearly been tried on multiple times and had visible stains and dirt. As I was traveling soon and would not be able to receive an online order in time, I decided to purchase this pair — on the condition that it could be cleaned. A staff member in the fitting room kindly told me that the cashier could assist with cleaning. I then approached the cashier and politely asked for help. A blonde woman with short hair wearing a black and white striped shirt responded with visible impatience and an unprofessional tone. She questioned who told me the shoes could be cleaned, and when I explained, she rudely asked, “Will you even buy it if we clean it?” — as if I were wasting her time. I clarified that I did intend to buy the shoes but needed to ensure they were in acceptable condition. She then abruptly grabbed tissues from a cabinet, hastily and carelessly wiped the soles for just a few seconds, slammed the shoes onto the counter, and stared at me as if to say, “Are you satisfied now?” Her attitude was dismissive and aggressive — entirely inappropriate for customer-facing staff. When I pointed out that the inside and top of the shoes were still dirty, she threw tissues onto the counter and told me to clean them myself, claiming she had to serve other customers — despite there being no one else waiting. I had no choice but to clean the shoes myself, feeling utterly humiliated. Even worse, after this interaction, she began speaking to an older cashier while glancing at me repeatedly. I don’t know what was said, but I was made to feel like a target of gossip or ridicule. Another male cashier then impatiently asked me to move elsewhere, as though I were causing disruption simply by trying to finish packing the shoes I had just paid for. Why was I, a paying customer, treated with such disrespect and hostility? What hurt me the most was seeing how kindly and patiently these same staff members treated other customers — smiling, chatting, giving them time to pack. The contrast was undeniable. I am an East Asian woman. I truly hope this was not racially motivated, but based on the way I was singled out and treated so differently, it is hard to believe otherwise. The suspicion of racial discrimination is strong and deeply painful. This experience left me anxious and shaken. I felt like a student being bullied by mean girls — powerless, disrespected, and completely excluded. As a customer, I never expect special treatment, but I do expect basic decency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this incident shows a shocking lack of all three. It was not only unprofessional but deeply unethical. This is why I feel compelled to provide such detailed feedback. I will no longer shop at M&S and will advise my friends and community — especially other East Asian customers — to avoid your stores. I will also be sharing my experience on Google and other review platforms, and submitting a formal complaint. I demand a formal apology and an investigation into this incident. Your staff’s behavior is unacceptable and, from my experience, very possibly discriminatory. I sincerely hope M&S takes this issue seriously — not just for me, but for every customer who expects to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race or background.
Danielle — Google review
Great store for clothing, home & food. BUT, the café really lets it down, particularly after 3.30pm. Hence the 1 star. No hot drinks can be made as machines are 'broken' & no hot food can be cooked in the kitchen. This has been the case on my last 2 visits and feel the lack of services is more about the staff wanting to run the cafe minimally after 3.30pm - eg just soft drinks, sandwiches & cake - which avoids a longer closing up process of the café for the staff. My advice would be to avoid the café after 3.30pm.

Absolute joke of a cafe!! Don't bother!! Had an awful experience all round: - Dirty tables, floors, chairs, trays. - Rude, indifferent staff. - Toastie took 50 mins, soggy when eventually arrived. - Customers were complaining continuously, rightly so, as I did myself.

Laura made our wedding cake and it was the most beautiful cake! The whole process was great from sampling the different flavours before choosing the flavours we wanted. The cake was absolutely stunning and I would highly recommend Laura. She is a very friendly person to work with, professional and makes the best cakes! Thank you so much!

I had a great experience with Laura during a 3 hour 1:1 cake decorating lesson. I learnt loads and Laura helpfully provided information in all the products she uses. Laura was extremely well prepared, easy to follow, great at demos and overall a thoroughly brilliant teacher! The cake (that she’d baked beforehand for me to decorate) also tasted amazing! Would absolutely recommend!
Cara E — Google review
I had a brilliant cake course with Laura. She helped me master covering a cake neatly with fondant icing, which I had never managed to achieve at home before. We also worked on piping flowers, which I now feel very confident with. I've used these skills already on a birthday cake, with many compliments! I was most impressed with Laura's endless knowledge and tips on the best products she has discovered with her wealth of experience. Plus, it was lovely decorating in cheerful, chatty company. I would recommend this course to any beginner or enthusiastic home baker like me!

Laura's Kitchen Cakery…..we cannot thank you enough for making the most exceptional wedding cake for us back in October ❤️ Absolutely stunning & so perfect for us and our guests loved it too, commenting it was by far the best cake they had ever eaten! I know we’ve said it already via email but we really couldn’t have picked anyone else to make our cake for us…..the look, the taste and the details were far beyond our expectations, let alone you’re professionalism and overall kindness. If you’re looking for a talented, creative cake maker, then Laura is definitely the right person for you! Thank you so much! 😀

I did a one on one cake decoration course with Laura and I couldn't recommend it more. She has fantastic technique and has a real talent for instruction. I feel I have taken away some very useful skills.

It was an absolute pleasure to join Laura for a cake decorating class. She is welcoming, engaging, insightful and great fun. I’d highly recommend it.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to Laura for providing mine and my new husbands wedding cakes. We searched around for a cake maker and as soon as I saw Laura's work I knew I had to contact her. We had a consultation and Laura understood what we were looking for right away, we put together some photos and choose our favourite flavours after doing some tasting (soo yummy!) and the end result was incredible. When I saw the cakes for the first time I was blown away, there were stunning and exceeded my expectations. Laura you really are a talented lady and your work is the most beautiful art in food form. Lots of my guests commented on the cupcakes and a few even asked for Laura's number. We took the top tier cake home and its safe to say its nearly all gone already!! Thank you Laura's Kitchen Cakery 💝

From the first message Laura was amazing. We had an team's meeting to discuss what we wanted from our wedding cake. She got us exactly and created something both of us loved. The flavours were amazing vanilla salted caramel red velvet and chocolate. The tasting whole cakes were just amazing. Yes a whole cake supplied to taste not just a slice! Laura kept us updated and even supplied a cake board last minute for us. She delivered and set up at the venue on a very warm day thankfully the butter cream covering didn't even melt amazing. All our guests and ourselves absolutely loved the cake not only to look at but to eat. We thankfully had some left and using Laura's carful written instructions is frozen for a treat at a later date. I absolutely recommend Laura's Kitchen Cakery for a yummy, stunning and stress free wedding cake!! Take you so much Laura xx

Taylors Bagels Walcot is a hidden gem in Bath, drawing quite a crowd with its incredible coffee and top-notch bagels. Located on London Street in the trendy Walcot area, it's a must-visit spot for anyone in the city center. The bagels are described as 'life-changing,' with a perfect balance of softness and sweetness.
Had an amazing breakfast bagel here ,it was delicious and possibly the best I've ever had. Generous size and really filling. Highly recommend the short walk from centre . Flat white was also delicious and I'm fussy with my coffee .
Lee B — Google review
Visit @the_bath_foodie on insta for more Bath restaurant pictures, videos and info! Without a doubt the best bagels in Bath! Taylor’s always provide huge, amazing and delicious burgers (especially the breakfast ones). However, please give us a cheesy vegetarian lunch bagel because the vegan ones don’t always hit the spot!
E F — Google review
Lovely staff and little venue. Coffee was delicious too. We got the 'Bath' bagel and 'Peri Peri Chicken' bagel. Both fillings were generous and tasty and warm. Only area for improvement would be the bagel bread itself. The shop would benefit from more options of different types of bread as well as different thicknesses instead of just plain. Really nice and would definitely recommend
Luke W — Google review
Very generous portion fillings, the bagel bread itself missed the mark. Taylors would benefit from being able to choose your own bagel type rather just plain bagels.
Chris C — Google review
It was my first time trying bagels and the standard is set extremely high!!! I ordered the new yorker and the bath bagel it was the most delicious and scrumptious bagels, the new yorker was stuffed with beef pastrami and cheddar & the bath bagel was overflowing with delicious juicy beef brisket. Overall the portion sizes were very generous. Staff were very helpful and service was very fast. Definitely coming back !!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trishal F — Google review
Really good bagels and lovely workers, if I lived in Bath I'd come here every day.

Taylors Bagels was on my list in Bath for ages and I couldn't wait to go. Unfortunately it was a complete let down today :( All my friends and I agreed our bagels did not taste fresh, almost as if they were a few days old. I got the Lox, the ratio of salmon was good but the cream cheese tasted very yogurt-y (like it had been thinned down with yogurt). Which would be fine if it hadn't overpowered any hint of cream cheese flavour... it also made the bagel too sour in general considering the capers, pickled onion and tomatoes on top of it.
Lea K — Google review
Delicious breakfast bagel and nice iced mocha. Ordered one bagel to share with my partner as saw other reviews that the portion is quite generous and it is! Good full for both of us. Would definitely come back again! Not much space inside and might be too cold to sit outside in winter.

During my recent trip to Bath, I discovered the charming Daisy & Bean Bakeshop and was so enchanted that I returned for breakfast two days in a row! This delightful spot boasts an inviting atmosphere filled with beautiful decor, lush plants, and thoughtful touches like messages on mirrors. The coffee is served in lovely ceramic mugs, making each sip feel special. The menu features an array of delicious options, including tempting sweet treats that are hard to resist—especially those cookies!
I loved Daisy and Bean. The avo loaded toast was to die for and the coffee was good. Very relaxing, calm, welcoming ambience and friendly staff. I cannot wait to visit again!

Great food, all vegetarian and very fresh. Got recommended this place from a friend of a friend when I was visiting Bath for an event. I had the loaded breakfast sandwich and a latte on a Saturday morning and it was lovely. Incredible orange egg yolks too!
Kim — Google review
Nice place to go but average food. The big breakfast was tasty but the avocado was brown. The vegetarian bagel was very dry and the egg wasn’t runny at all, making it more dry. The pancakes were nice, as well as the hot chocolate. The cafe had a nice layout and atmosphere. We didnt have any of the baked goods but they did look good!
Jen/Kay T — Google review
I love this place so much. Its definitely on the pricier side but worth it all for the chill vibes, friendly service and amazing sweet treats! It always feels so wholesome here and there’s always something new that just looks delicious. Accessibility wise, there are some steps inside and narrow points. There are some good gluten free options though!

Stumbled across this place when visiting Bath with a family member. We ended up visiting 2 days straight for breakfast. I just absolutely love it. Everything is gorgeous, the coffee, the beautiful ceramic mugs, the food, the decor, the plants, the messages on the mirror just everything is 👌. Loved every detail, including the books to read, such a calm and peaceful vibe. And the staff are so friendly too 🙂. Also if you go get a cookie, I picked up a yummy Biscoff and white chocolate cookie for the journey home and it's incredible! I wish I lived closer to Bath so I could come by more often.
Liah O — Google review
My friends and I went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and we had an overall great experience. Besides it feeling like a self-service cafe half the time, we had no complaints. All our meals were great, the space was cozy and I love how queer it is. Would happily go back if I’m ever in Bath again.
Phidelia I — Google review
The loveliest spot to sit with a book & a coffee! I try to resist the cakes but always end up caving when I see what’s out in the counter. The cookies are so good! Super friendly helpful staff & good quality coffee & a lot of vegan choices 👍 A great place to visit alone or with a group of friends
Olivia L — Google review
Dairy and Bean is a treasure trove of wonderful people and delicious food. From fresh baked goods, great hospitality to friendly and accommodating service. The baking is fresh, juicy, and has GF and vegan options! I had myself a Lotus Biscoff Cake, which was GF. Was full of flavour, and the texture was amazing! Drinks are pretty, I had a Chai Latte, which was nice and hot, but full-bodied and flavourful. Daisy and Bean is honestly a Must to visit. Bring your dog. Bring your kids. Bring your heart!
