The 50 best shopping and stores in Bath

It's an interesting small market with a Bath feel to it. Interesting shops selling a range of goods, food and coffee. For a snack, I recommend popping in. It also has a haberdashery shop. This is helpful and something for the dog or cat. It has a beautiful lantern shop and an amazing old jewellery shop that is inexpensive and a treasure. If you want to listen to the locals, there is a cheap affordable cafe that you will be welcome to.

Great local indoor market with a good range of food, practical and gift stalls. In the food category, there is a good deli, cheese stall, and tea/ coffee merchant. There is a big hardware stall and a haberdashery. There are also fabric, books, jewellery, and gift stalls as well as two cafés.

Fun, quirky, has a few interesting shops, worth a visit, but don’t expect to much it’s rather small and slightly disappointing.

Lots of interesting shops with useful everyday items, there’s also a cafe with a good sized seating area. Would visit again if in the area.

A unique and niche indoor market with an impressive collection of books, yarn and other specialist items. We visited while in town and it was very busy as it was a bank holiday. Entry is free and it's also dog friendly which is a plus.

Really nice small market in Bath, quite a few various different stalls. My favourite was the jewellery store where I picked up a pair of earrings. They also have book stores, a few food stalls, tea etc

Nice little indoor market to walk through and buy little things. Has cafes and specialty stores like cheese and tea. Has a book shop, arts and crafts store, and a range of clothes stores. All reasonably priced and not too busy.

Been wanting to come here for ages and wasn’t disappointed! The shop is a lot bigger than expected with all sorts of hidden nooks and crannies, and sitting spots tucked here and there. The staff were all lovely, and really helpful. We had the complimentary tea/coffee which still feels unbelievable in this day and age, and it was wonderful to sit and take in the atmosphere while we looked over our purchases with a hot drink on a rainy day 😌 As others have said, lots of signed and special editions, events, and I was surprised to see that—for hardbacks at least—the special books also have a clear protective cover on them! Will have to come back some time to do the book spa 💖

So many books! It’s overwhelming in a good way. It’s laid out so well. A mix of open spaces and cosy corners. And sliding ladders!! And very helpful staff and they stamp your books 😃

Best bookshop I have ever visited! Topping & Company have the friendliest employees, the most amazing range of books, and plenty of other carefully curated goods and rare editions. Service went above and beyond my expectations - the staff were incredibly sweet with my greyhound and gave him lots of treats and cuddles, and my husband and I really enjoyed the complimentary tea service after our long drive to Bath. The staff even gave us recommendations for places to eat when they learned we were not local! I managed to find a book I had been after for ages thanks to the knowledgable and helpful employees - it was relatively obscure but they located it swiftly and with a smile (no easy feat when your shop is set over three floors!) 10/10 experience, if I lived nearer I wouldn’t bother buying a book anywhere else!! Amazing bookshop great selection of sci-fi & fantasy. Staff helpful & you can have a free coffee or tea if you ask. What's not to like! Also attended an author event at the Abbey which was fab

Firstly I really like this book shop. The location near the historic heart of Bath is fantastic the inside decoration is amazing and a real homage to it's past. It is the hub of a thriving and expansive literary community and wesrs this proudly on its sleeve as it should. The aesthetics are wonderful even down to the library ladders and you can get lost in it's crooks and crannies for along time. The book selection is very good ranging from history to manga, science to astrology. It's not the finest collection I have ever seen but for the most part it's good. This is all pretty much 5/5. What is 0/5 is the absolutely disgusting and inappropriate literature included under the children's section. I would never let my child peruse the children's section here. Yes ok there are inappropriate texts for children on many of the shelves, this is fine, it's a bookshop. But to have highly inappropriate in what is supposed to be a safe space for children - the explicitly named children's section, is beyond disgusting. If everything else was not 5 then I would for this reason rate the shop 0.

The most beautiful and magical bookstore in the land. My book-loving daughter absolutely loved it here when we visited from New Zealand. A stunning building with thousands of books to browse on three floors.

Gosh what a wonderful experience this is! Highly recommend. Slim was brilliant and funny and entertaining and we so enjoyed blowing our glass bauble. Everything is well explained and health and safety is paramount to them. The baubles were fabulous but the experience was just wonderful

We both had the most amazing time glass blowing with slim and lizzy on my 60th birthday in 27th September. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic and the end products were something we will cherish forever. There teaching knowledge and experience was incredible. I was gifted a voucher for Christmas. Easy to book and plenty of time slots to suit. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was really interesting to see the glass blowers at work. I have a beautiful bauble to hang at home. Plenty of gifts in their main shop and at the workshop to choose from if you wanted to pick up a gift for someone. There's a cafe onsite too. I'd highly recommend a visit to either participate in an experience watch to see how the products are made.

My boyfriend and I did the lover heart bauble. It was a fun and unusual experience and we left with a beautiful keepsake. The only thing I would say is that the staff don’t really know how to ‘put on a show’ if you see what I mean. They were all very lovely. It just needed something extra to make it more memorable and especially because of the price of some of the packages. Usually when you do these things you have a guide who chats a lot and maybe throws in a little joke here and there so I guess I’m just going of previous experience days but my opinion anyway. Still, a lovely time and recommended. Also, if you were wondering, the lovers heart bauble package consists of choosing a colour for the glass, blowing yours and your partners breath into the glass to fill it. (You have to stay behind the barriers and not go into the actual glass blowing area but you can still see everything). Then the experts mould it and shape it. You then leave it in the kiln for a day and either pay for delivery or go collect after the 24 hours. Enjoy!

Just had the half day glass blowing experience. It was absolutely amazing, would highly recommend it to everyone. Slim and Lizzy are not only very talented but super friendly and make you feel at ease and confident. Will definitely be dropping in again to watch you work.

We had a half day session with Ben and Liz and it was great fun. We learnt a lot and they were fantastic teachers. We made a paper weight each, a bauble each and a fruit bowl between us. Sadly our bowl cracked as it cooled but we had the demonstration pieces made by Ben which included a much more accomplished version of the bowl that we made!

This is a little treasure place in Bath. I've always been interested in glass blowing since watching Blown away series on Netflix. The staff were so nice. Allowed me to come in to have a look while some baubles were being blown. There's a cafe in there, so you could have a bite while watching as well. I had a great experience.

The cafe is pleasant and the food is good. Various seating areas deeper into the building. Menu doesn't give allergy options, but they will advise. No GF bread is available for the sandwiches and toasties! There are a couple of shallow steps up at the front door, but the rest is level for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Classy, elegant independent cafe. Atmosphere felt a little flat, but that was mainly down to there only being a few customers present at 10am - this was made more acute by the contrast with number of team members present (I counted at least half a dozen!). Coffee was pleasant, and the servers recommendation of pineapple and lime upside down cake was delicious. Service was non-intrusive, and tailored questions led us to the choice of cake, if a little formal feeling. The price of the food and drink was reasonable, especially given the location in central Bath. The only (fairly big) downside was the mandatory 10% service charge, which is probably why they can have so many team members on shift.

Had lunch and bought cheese after. The food is delicious, various options with a good selection of wines matching. Delicious cakes for dessert too. So many options at the cheese shop, difficult to choose. the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Took my Mum for lunch and to buy some cheese. Delicious food in the cafe and great products in the cheese shop. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff. The café is very reasonably priced. It's brilliant to have such a fantastic independent shop and café in the heart of Bath. Really enjoyed it.

Had a wonderful time in the cafe. The waitress Grace, greeted me like an old friend, and recommended the most delicious cake to go with my coffee. The atmosphere was lovely, all the staff were friendly, and it was reasonably priced. Looking forward to my next visit!

We bought some cheese and the attention was perfect, but the ladies in the store of the cakes were totally unprofessional, and disrespectful. They made us paying immediately after ordering, but delaying the service attending everyone else. They didn't want to give us what we ordered. Absolutely disgraceful. Rude and impolite. Probably, as we are foreigners, they didn't want to attend to us as they were attending the rest of the people. Conclusion, if you are not British, you will be treated badly. Don't go.

Popped in to have a look at the selection of cheese 🧀 Decided to stop and grab coffee and cake, both of which were lovely. Staff are friendly and engaging. The cafe area is spacious and has a nice feel. It is surprisingly large inside with tables in an area out the back, do it's larger than it looks from outside. Nice collection of products like teas and deli items as well. A little walk out of town but worth a visit

Quite possibly the most beautiful and magical toy shop ever. We fell in love with the unique rocking zebra. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. There's something here for all children, utterly mesmerising.

This is the most wonderful toy shop! I wish my children were younger because they have reached an age where they are beginning to outgrow most of the products on sale (10 years old is my oldest). That didn't stop me buying a few things though. So much of the stuff on sale seems to be unique to this shop so there is a clever bit of product selection going on which must be why it is so refreshing to shop there. The staff are lovely, helpful and outgoing - and very tolerant of toddlers experimenting with the toys on display. The whole atmosphere is simply spot on. Just one observation (and I am splitting hairs) is the two things I wanted to buy were both out of stock so perhaps a bigger stock room? But I really am being fussy. There is an online option, and fresh stock of the things I wanted were replenished within a few days (it so happened I was back in Bath on several different days over the course of a week and I got everything I needed on a subsequent visit just a few days later). This shop is an absolute delight.

First time I’ve been in this store and I was pleasantly surprised at how traditional these toys were! Most of it is wooden and built to last! The books were also gorgeous, mixing classical tales with classical music buttons to engage the child! A lovely young lady (Millie) was absolutely fantastic helping me navigate the plethora of wooden dolls houses for my daughter’s birthday! Went above and beyond to get it shipped and delivered to me (too heavy for the train!)shes an asset to the store in my opinion! An amazing toy store with toys and books built to last and customer service which is exemplary!

Received my order today, very quick delivery. Couldn’t be more happier, arrived with lovely messages on the box. This place holds a special place in my heart. I used to come here to buy toys and crafts for my youngest daughter, and I still visit whenever I get the chance. The new location is even more beautiful and magical; I could easily spend hours in to My Small World Toy store. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Most of them have artistic backgrounds and are fantastic with children. Whether you have kids or not, it’s well worth a visit.

You won't find a nicer shop anywhere for children's toys! There is such a good range of lovely, carefully curated and thoughtful gifts for children of all ages, and a very good selection for neurodivergent children. You can just tell the owners really love and understand children. Everything bought online arrives beautifully packaged and is delivered quickly. It's my go-to place every Christmas and I recommend it to everyone!

The range of toys and goodies in this shop is outstanding (not to mention the incredible quality and ethos of suppliers!) But the true 5 stars for this establishment, goes to the incredibly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable staff! Not only did they make me want to return again and again and buy everything, but it felt so welcoming that I could imagine working there myself and it being loveliest/happiest place to work. These are year round Santas little helpers, making dreams come true every day! ❤️ Keep up the fabulous work!! Totally smitten with this place! The lady/ owner? (unsure) who was in the day I visited was so sweet and approachable, really enthusiastic about the things on sale and happy to chat a bit, the shop is really beautifully curated with great cards, sensible but pretty outdoorsy stock, clothing and really nice bags, I ended up buying a cute Masterpiece crossbody bag in rust and its the prettiest nicest thing I've ever seen, I love it, cant wait to visit again when I'm back :)

Everything I have bought has been both gorgeous and beautifully made. I also really love the team, it's always the most fun place to shop!

A proper treasure trove of fabulous things. Everything has obviously been carefully selected, I go in looking for gifts and have to struggle to not buy myself things. I knew these guys were on the same wavelength as me when I walked in the first time and spotted displays laden with artisanal chocolates and lovely journals. Definitely a first stop location for gift shopping (and the occasional personal treat, hee hee!)

not only is this street generally just historic and a pretty place to go visit it also has a very good market that when i went had a lot of handmade goods like silver jewelry and crochet items. they also have good shops and cafes lining the sides of the market ( which is on every Saturday ) and is fairly central in the city. you aren't far from some food shops and toilets, most of the cafes and bars have toilets. it is a great place to get gifts for someone or just for yourself. it is worth having a look, and i will be coming back sometime.

Milsom Street is a lovely road for shopping in Bath 👍

A lovely street full of shops and cafes, one of the nicest places in Bath.

Lovely room, nice service. Sadly the food was really not good. The ravioli with smoked potato was tough, and the smokyness a weird flavour. The ricotta gnudi was very salty and sitting in a pond of melted butter, couldn’t eat more than a few bites. These two dishes plus a leaf salad was over £40 - wouldn't mind if it were good, but I left hungry. If you’re giving it a go then definitely order bread - hopefully thats a safe bet in case you also dislike the food.

I was revisiting an old “favourite” vegetarian restaurant now in completely different ownership from my student days but still a haven for original vegetarian food served with style and passion and showcasing local ingredients as a central theme, but with unique and delicious flavours and twists. I enjoyed the variety so much that I dined at “The Oak” for four days running to be able to sample the menu in its full entirety. The standout dishes off the current menu for me were: the potato terrine, the carrot pâté, the middle beetroot, the chocolate tart, and the pistachio semifreddo. Thank you to the lovely waiting staff and chefs for your knowledge, passion and skill. With much gratitude. 🙏🏼 I highly recommend anyone to dine here when visiting the city of Bath.

I thought the place looked cute inside. However the food was some what lacking. Most of the dishes were overly salty and creamy. It did not hit the spot in terms of taste or how it was cooked. The hummus was yummy though. I feel the ethos of the restaurant is great, but some more creativity in terms of flavour and pairings as well as cooking things better, would make this place a winner. I found the portions to be big for sharing so that was great. I went because it was on the Michelin guide, so I'm slightly miffed that the main flavour was salt. Hope they can improve.

Simply outstanding vegetarian food. I'm a meat eater, but my partner is vegetarian and I'd heard it's the kind of place that carnivores love. They were right, this is superbly cooked and generous sharing plates of vegetarian food. 2-3 plates per person recommended (we split the difference with five between two, and would have been fine with four or six). The bread is a huge highlight, so make sure you opt for the aubergine foccacia, and the hummus with homemade flatbread. We'll definitely be back!

We went to Oak for a treat. Nice to have a place which is vegetarian/vegan. Lovely space with nice dried flower arrangements. Friendly young service, love the informal style. Our dishes were tasty with delicate flavours, if you like a flavour bomb you would possibly be disappointed. We really loved the celeriac schnitzel sandwich a kind of fish fingers sandwich and the pickled veg with cashew cream. Would go again.

One of my favorite spots in Bath: lovely atmosphere, attentive service, varied and thoughtfully crafted menu based on excellent seasonal ingredients. A perfect little gem—I stayed in Bath for a week and went there three times! Greetings from Italy :)

A ok please to walk around there is not really much there there is a flower shop and some food places there is a few empty shops and quite a maze to fined your way around there is a lift for step free access from one end to the other I think it could be improved with clearer signage so you can look for the place your looking for and then be able to go straight to it. It's nice to look and walk around but not alot on offer.

Gorgeous little side street shopping/cafe area. Absolute cretins in the reviews complaining as if ought to be a full department store with a Primark or something!

A Ghost Town. It used to be an exciting labyrinth of sophisticated shops & restaurants, but is now like a Marie Celeste.

The Ivy has established itself in providing good quality service, food and surroundings and this branch is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended

The place is like The Chocolate Factory for beer lovers, the service is excellent and the variety of craft beers is insane!

Really good shop that I discovered by accident. knowledgeable and friendly owner. Great selection of beers with some more hard to find offerings. If you find yourself in Bath and like beer you should pop in.

Bought an Artesà cheese slicer from the shop 2 weeks ago. The wire snapped yesterday from the strain of cutting a slice of cheese. Went to shop to get a replacement wire, only to be told ‘We don’t sell replacement wires. Look the company up online.’ I tried to. No sign of how to buy a replacement wire. £17.99 down the drain. Thanks a lot, Bath’s award winning lifestyle store.

I needed a pair of nice evening wear shoes and walked past this quirky shop with a Tracy nuells vibe so I went in when it was open and got a stunning and exceptionally comfortable pair of shoes I went in on a day where the designer was in store and she is very warm friendly and genuine she even autographed my shoes and gave me a glass of port what a wonderful experience

What a treat for ladies who want to wear comfortable, fun and stylish shoes. Channi B is a fabulous shoe designer and the owner of this store with the same name. She is so welcoming and her range of shoes made me want to stay in the store all day. She invited me to try on heeled boots that I was sure would be too tall to walk in, they weren’t and I ended up treating myself to a beautiful pair of button up boots. I will be returning for sure 👍🏾💕😀

The visit went as planned.

A stunning historical bridge with great views of the river Avon. We enjoyed a lovely boat trip down the river with a very informative skipper and a lovely,helpful young man who served hot drinks and snacks on board. It's so refreshing to see a young person working hard rather than sitting in front of a screen all day. We even spotted a heron on the trip. On the other side of the bridge, it's rather odd and ugly looking but unusual and worth a look.

Absolutely stunning! We had a wonderful meal at a restaurant along Pulteney Bridge, which was such a charming spot with plenty of great eateries to choose from. The whole city felt so clean, welcoming, and full of character. The Georgian architecture is breathtaking, the streets are steeped in history, and everywhere you turn there’s something beautiful to see. From the iconic Roman Baths to the sweeping views around the city, Bath truly captured my heart. I completely fell in love with this city and can’t wait to come back and explore even more!

Pulteney Bridge is stunning. Designed in the Palladial architectural stye, a 17-18th century take on classical architecture from ancient Greek and Roman traditions, it is one of only four bridges in the world tonhave shops across it's full span on both sides! I did not visit any of these shops so cannot speak on their quality. I can, however, advise a trip to Pulteney or a nearby bridge with a view of Pulteney at either sunrise or sunset. I did this myself, cycling across a parallel bridge before sunrise to capture a unique view of this wonderful bridge. There it stood ready for another day of supporting vehicles and pedestrians alike in making their journeys between Central Bath and the suburb of Bathwick. Infrastructure is crucial to supporting us in living our lives. When it comes in a form as aesthetically pleasing as Pulteney bridge, it is impossible not to love.

A wonderful roman style bridge startling the river below! No cost associated with visiting and looks wonderful on both sides! Personally I suggest visiting the rear side as it's much quieter, are plenty of nice spots to take photos, and feels totally different from the chaos of the front!

Gorgeous bridge with a nearby sluice gate and weir, this Iconic structure was built to extend the City without people realizing they are crossing the river, lined by shops and a cafe with river views it certainly is different but so brilliantly built. Just a three min walk from the Abbey and behind the Impressive Guildhall.

Wonderful piece of history. Recommend taking the boat cruise nearby (£14 for an hour pp) to see the bridge from the river.

The onion bhaji wrap is crispy and delicious. I would highly recommend chaiwala on both price and flavour. The food is vegetarian, fresh and decently healty for an eating out meal. There is no indoor seating.

I tried the onion bhaji wrap with a samosa and chai. The wrap was really tasty—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The samosa was just okay, not bad but didn’t stand out much. It was decent, though I was expecting a bit more spice or richness. Overall, a nice spot for a quick bite, and I’d definitely go back for that. 👏🏼

A very affordable food gem in Bath. Only a couple of mins walk from the main street and right next to a beautiful square where there are several public benches to sit down and enjoy the food. We had the samosa chaat with extras of onion bhajis. It came with a hearty chickpea curry, topped with salad leaves, chopped up samosas and generously drizzled with tamarind chutney and chilli sauce (optional). It was absolutely delicious and the tanginess of the tamarind compliments the crispy samosas really well. I love the samosas so much that I went back and bought 10 frozen to take home! All the wraps and salad boxes are made to order but the service was quick and we didnt have to wait long to get our food. High recommended for a taste of Indian street food.

I so miss the #masalachai from #India, not the case anymore! Discovered this little #streetfood vendor in #Bath. The taste was phenomenal, even the #samosas tasted like those made in homes across India.And if #Jane Austen says they are the best? Who am I to argue! Loved that we had such a pleasant conversation around #sconeAsInGone. Would highly recommend. I also got to witness the building of the mixed wrap. What a whopper. It looked and smelt amazing!!! The samosas were the best I have ever had! So warm and crispy and the perfect amount of spice and seasoning, amazing value! Definitely will come back and try some of the other offerings.

If you’re visiting Bath, you need to make Chai Walla a *must visit*. The BEST samosa you will ever eat, we are going back tomorrow to get more. The falafel wrap was incredible, every bite was an absolute explosion of flavour and crunch. The customer service is exceptional and the value for money is amazing.

My partner and I sat outside in the sunshine yesterday and were served by Josh. He was really knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide between a few different items we were stuck on. He truly enhanced an already wonderful experience! Thanks again Josh! The food was absolutely delicious, flavours perfectly balanced and dishes arrived to the table staggered to ensure we were not over faced. A definite highlight of our trip to Bath!

We enjoyed a fabulous light lunch accompanied by outstanding service. The menu offered an excellent variety of dishes, but we chose the anchovies on toast, English peas on focaccia, and Cornish hake with carrot purée. The rhubarb crème brûlée was a triumph– one of the best desserts we've had in quite some time. A true hidden gem!

Lovely place with great food & beautiful wines! We had the charcuterie board with some delicious bread one evening (definitely recommend). But the highlight for sure was (on a different evening) the venison bavette; just perfection with courgette fritters! Must go when you visit Bath!

Delicious food, friendly staff and cool environment. Restaurant is basically within a wine shop, which they have a large selections of good wine, that can pair with some very delicious food. Staffs were very friendly and professional (especially on wine suggestions). I think it was great that I will visit again in the future and recommend to friends and family.

We went on a personal recommendation and were weren't disappointed - good atmosphere and we like the sharing plates concept. I haven't given food or service a 5 for two reasons: 1: The charcuterie was a tad mean and the blue cheese overwhelmed the beetroot 2: I'm 72 (and look it) so you'll forgive me for finding the response "No problem at all" intensely irritating when I say "Thank you" to the staff. Of course it's no problem - I'm the customer....

We sat outside to enjoy the sunny afternoon. The sharing plates were excellent. Found them inventive and fun. Service was nice but a little flighty, we always had to be on the lookout for our server. But this did not take away from the experience. Recommend for a quick and pleasant or lazy afternoon bite.

My partner and I enjoyed a delicious brunch here, my beautiful partner had garlic mushrooms on toast and I had smashed avocado on toast, I asked for an additional poached egg on mine and it was no trouble at all, to drink I enjoyed a lovely creamy cappuccino and my partner had an orange juice. The staff were happy to help and very friendly plus we didn't think the pricing was too bad either! All in all a great experience ☺️

The hot chocolate is excellent quality using actually chocolate (there were some nice half melted chunks at the bottom of the cup!), frothy and hot with a rich flavour (70%). The Turkish eggs were also good with a strong flavour, eggs poached to perfection with a runny centre, nice spicy kick from the chilli oil and a single piece of halved sour dough toast. The toast did get a bit soggy rather quickly owing to lying in the yoghurt which itself had made the dish nearly cold by the time it was served so I wouldn’t recommend on a cold day. The garlic flavour was also quite strong and the aftertaste remained with me for the rest of the day. Overall, nice and very filling. The mango pancakes were also good. The mango was soft and squishy from the caramelisation (though not with much caramel flavour) and the pancakes were sweet and fluffy. The sauce was very good. Service was relatively speedy and the waitress very friendly and welcoming.

Came to visit the Good Day Cafe as it was highly recommend and it did not disappoint. I had the poached egg on sourdough bread with the garlic mushrooms and OMG I could not fault it. It was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I also had a pumpkin spiced white hot chocolate which went down a treat. The staff were all so friendly and made the experience even better. I then went into the bakery and picked out a couple of goodies to take away. This was hard as there was so much choice and it all looked so delicious. I loved how they are doing the witch booby scotchie where half of the sale goes to breast cancer now. If I could give more than 5 stars if I could. ❤️

Every time I visit Bath, I make sure I have time to tick off Good Day Café! The staff are super lovely and welcoming. They have so many delicious breakfast brunch meals available, it's always an "umm" and "arrrr" moment when I look at the menu but I know whatever I choose, it'll be heaven! Their sweet treats are the best in Bath, such a big and fun selection of items. I recently bought an eyeball scotchie and the mint scare-ro brownie roll - DIVINE! ❤️ I'd highly recommend the Good Day Café for the best experience and tastes ❤️

Only tried their classic brownie (takeaway £3.25) and it's now one of my favourites! I like my brownie rich and gooey. This goes so well with hot black coffee (no sugar) ☕ I'd like to try their brookies too.

I am in love with the Fudge Factory ❤️ First, I ordered 3 caramel apples which were so insanely good that 3 days later I ordered more, as well as fudge and butterscotch. The caramel apples are so delicious! I love the consistency of the caramel and the taste of the crisp apple with the Carmel and mixed chocolate is amazing. When I first looked at the fudge, I did think it was a little pricey, but as my first order was of such high quality I decided to go for it. I am so happy I did! The silky smooth texture of the fudge and the slab size pieces you get are definitely well worth the money. My favourite flavour so far has to be the raspberry pavlova. The raspberries, white chocolate and meringue give it such a scrummy taste. Really impressed with all the products I’ve tried so far already planning another order ❤️

Visited as part of a 3 day birthday weekend with my girlfriend. She has visited this shop previously I haven't. Small charming shop absolutely crammed with all manner of sweets & treats. Single sample pieces, bags, boxes and all manner of delights await within. We settled on 2 individual blocks of fudge, clotted cream & peanut butter + chocolate. Both were delicious, with gooey centres and rich depth of flavour throughout. An interesting quirk of this establishment lies in the very open & visual manner in which the products are made. Customers & passer-by alike can watch as great syrupy loads are spread & flavoured into the treats on sale.

Great experience today at this fudge shop. The staff were very friendly and were able to expertly advise us on allergens as our daughter has dietary allergies. The fudge itself was amazing and we tried some unique but delicious flavours including Malibu, chilli and coffee. Well worth a visit if you’re in Bath!

I like the honey comb and I was pleased to discover this little marvel near Bath Abbey. I am not a big fan of fudge, but this one was tasty and very smooth. The variety of Irish coffee ( you can choose from whiskey, brandy and Irish cream) was perfect to warm up and enjoy live music near the Roman Baths and the Bath Abbey. The prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended.

I used to give this place 5 stars but after today, not anymore… We live about an hour away from Bath and often come here just to stock up on their amazing coffee. We love their selection and usually enjoy the experience. But today was not the great one. There was a woman working who clearly wasn’t into coffee or helping customers. The shop was empty, but it still took her 5 minutes to come over, and she looked like she didn’t want to be there at all. There’s usually a friendly guy who helps us out, answers our questions, and actually knows his stuff. We were hoping for the same today, but this time it was just awkward and honestly a bit rude. We picked out the beans we wanted and asked if she could grind them fresh (we prefer that over the prepacked ones, especially since we’re paying 3x the regular price for what we expect to be fresh??). But she acted like we were being difficult and told us the packed ones were “fresh enough” , claiming they were ground no more than a week ago (funny). Sorry, but if I’m paying that much, I want it done fresh in front of me. That’s part of the whole experience right??? She made us feel like we were being annoying just for asking, and that’s the last thing we’d expect from a place we used to love. Next time, I’ll check who’s working before I walk in. Great variety of teas but…you should teach your staff what customer service is - when we walked in as first visitors on a Sunday, we felt like ghosts. NO ONE at the shop looked at, acknowledged or greeted us. And after our purchase, no one has said bye. If I wanted such experience, I could just buy tea on Amazon

Really nice selection of teas, of what I’ve tried so far they are very high quality, really tasty. I was a bit disappointed I could only buy minimum 50g of a tea when they had large glass jars on display of loose leaf; I wanted to buy a smaller amount incase I didn’t like what I’d bought (was trying something completely new). Friendly enough and well stocked.

Found this hidden gem in a tiny alley and I was wowed by the large array of teas, coffee beans and hot chocolate for sale on the shelves! I was given the opportunity to smell the teas and coffee beans before making my purchase. Would definitely recommend this little shop for souvenir shopping rather than paying for overpriced generic teabags from touristy gift shops!

They blend the very best teas and I particularly recommend their chai and orange chai. Visiting the Emporium is also a very enjoyable and calming experience, with all the beautiful cannisters lining the walls and excellent customer service. They also provide an online ordering system for those who live further afield but if you are in the area a visit to the shop is an absolute must for locals and tourists alike.

Now the Tea House Emporium has moved to a larger premises you can literally walk through tea, it's stacked on the walls in shelves and bunched around the counters! For a tea-lover like me this is truly divine. Not only were the staff a joy to meet and speak with, their knowledge seemed to know no bounds. You do walk away from a fabulous experience, taking with you a far vaster knowledge of tea, coffee and hot chocolate than you ever imagined! It is a pleasure to have such a wonderful store experience which was entirely up to the kindness and helpful manner of the Tea House Emporium staff, who are a credit to their store, and tea itself! I'll be back for more tea and to have a much needed laugh with the ladies.

One of my favourite and gelato in my opinion, I keep coming back. All their flavours are fantastic and rich - there's no wrong choice. Service is always lovely and there is both indoor & outdoor seating.

The raspberry sorbet and tiramisu are good, and the cone is fresh and isn't too thin. Tried a bit of chocolate sorbet and chocolate brownie and thought they're too sweet although my partner in crime said the chocolate sorbet was rich. Maybe I should give the chocolate sorbet another chance!! £5.95 for 2 scoops in a cone I think

One of the best vanilla gelatos I’ve ever had! I absolutely loved the vanilla bean flavor and the smooth, creamy texture of the gelato. I’ll definitely be coming back! What an amazing experience , esp as it was my first time visiting Bath.

I've had some of the best Gelato in Italy. Swoon Gelato is 100% authentic and some of the best I've ever tasted, rivaling even those in Italy. The staff member who helped me was super friendly. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I have been a loyal customer for years, visiting all the shops in Bristol, Bath, and Oxford. Today, I was surprised to notice that the portion sizes for both the scoops and the cones have become smaller. Even the biggest cone now seems like a small one, and it is even shorter than before. This is not what I would expect from this brand, especially considering the prices.

Love Swoon, best ice cream in UK, I had rich chocolate sorbetto and pistachio. Just wish I lived closer to one of their shops.

Bought some caffè Curtains on line , although the material was pretty the sewing was appalling and the hem were uneven (so curtains different lengths) I took them nav and did get a refund but the sales assistant just laughed at the fact I could have been looking at crooked curtains in my window. Told him I hoped he was going to feedback to the factory and not put them back on sale!!

Truly saddened by this company, ordered a bikini top which was sent out faulty, in fact it was so sharp it drew blood so sent it back saying it was faulty and therefore should not be charged postage, but they charged the postage and a fee for sending their faulty good back.

Though it has some beautiful items becareful of staff saying you can have items for free when you purchase things and then once you have decided on the item changing their mind. A horrible man at the till that even though we had spent 100 pounds was completely cold-hearted and probably the most unpleasant person I have ever been served by.

My husband and I spent a few days away in Bath, its such a beautiful place. On our way back home to London I decided to pop into this amazing shop, its absolutely full of beautiful jewellery and gifts. I immediately chose an I.D bracelet for my son's upcoming birthday and even the all the staff were very busy Guy was so kind to shorten and engrave the bracelet within half an hour. I cant explain the happiness I felt from his kindness. I have actually fallen in love with this shop and will definately be purchasing more gifts online, seeing as we are such a distance away. What an amazing shop!! Visited in August while on a birthday trip and saying this shop, and the incredible lovely staff delivered would be the understatement of the summer! Upgraded necklace chains with the best ever help from Lizzie, she assisted us amazingly on the best individual new chain to acquire, she even polished our existing pendants and revamped us on the O rings! I had a vision in my head of the ring i was after for myself and Lizzie snapped it into reality! :p When they didn't have my size in stock Lizzie ordered it online and got it sent to us at home! Not only that, my gorgeous ring came with a hand written note from the babe herself Lizzie!!! its safe to say we left feeling very well cared for and super super happy. What a wonderful shop; lovely jewellery and fantastic people. I first visited years ago hoping to replace a necklace and charms that I’d ruined by wearing in a hot tub. But Guy suggested they could be cleaned and did an absolutely fabulous job. I returned when visiting Bath as it was such a lovely experience and completely trustworthy. He cleaned some charms while I went round the shops, at a very reasonable cost, and showed me the best way to manage a very tarnished family heirloom. I’m very grateful and impressed.

I walked past this spot in the morning — they had breakfast options like bacon and sausage baps that looked really good. So I decided to come back later in the day, and by then they were serving a different selection of meats, such as rotisserie chicken, crackling pork, and beef. I went for the beef, and it was amazing — very tasty! I’d definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in Bath.

Worth queuing up for. We had a beef sandwich and a chicken & bacon one. Both were very tasty. Good quality meat and fresh bread. The beef one comes in a slightly smaller rounder roll while the chicken was a little longer. There are a few benches outside people can sit at while they eat. Butchers section also looked good and they sell loaves.

The most delicious Egg and sausage muffin. Great quality meat and amazing customer service.

This morning I went all in with the egg, sausage, cheese and bacon muffin, with a bit of mustard. Everything was super fresh, warm and spot on, neatly put together too. Not a crumb wasted. The staff were lovely! Proper great brekkie. I’ll be back for the afternoon sandwiches.

A lovely browse to start our saturday morning. A few stalls on hand selling a wide variety of things. Lots of meats and deli style shops and pastry items on display. Good location and easy access to town. We got tarts from one of the stalls which was very yummy! Would recommend everyone check this out at least once.

When on holiday in England we buy food from the farmers' market every Saturday. Meat from butcher Andrew which is so so good as are his stories about the breeds, sourdough bread from the Oven, vegetables, strawberries and jam, what else do you need?

They have raw milk, raw honey, organic local veg and grass fed beef. I go here every week and the quality is great.

1:30 is already a pretty early closing time for those who sleep in or have anything else to do on Saturday morning, so it’s not fair to the vendors who stay till the advertised closing time that so many vendors (with plenty of product) start packing up at noon and are ready to leave at 12:30.

The best sheep cheese, wonderful shiitake and many more mushrooms, tomatoes from the Isle of White and much more decent food and lovely stuff.

The farmers market have plenty of varieties from food the handcrafted products. Really nice to walk around and explore and can park in the open carpark.

Matt was really good at explaining the different tennis rackets today and helped us to pick our next one! He is very knowledgeable and friendly! Will come back to shop again!

I visited on Sunday afternoon 21-07-2024 to buy some running shoes. This was an important decision as at 61, and recovering from injury I needed a shoe that would help me get back into a sport I love. I can safely say the manager and the assistant were both very knowledgeable, friendly and the use of the in-store running machine helped me to make the right decision - I thoroughly enjoyed my evening run!! Many thanks for your outstanding service - much appreciated.

People on the phone were super nice and friendly and explained all of the racket services they had on offer which did help a lot. Also on arrival at the store, the staff were very polite and knowledgeable in all the tennis equipment and helped me find the right racket to fit my needs.

Best plant shop locally. Absolutely beautiful collection, wonderful staff that know their thing and are super friendly and encouraging. They are the only company I've known who actually follow through and contact you when you ask for a particular item. They ordered red birkins in and not only contacted us, but also picked out and reserved the best of the bunch for us. Really cannot fault the shop, staff or stock. Beautiful place

Not a garden centre but a stack load of garden bric-a-brac to help add more character to your garden, if you like that sort of thing. Old stone ornaments and statues, some pots and other metal work to put on walls. There are a few small plants available to buy and an assortment of second-hand tools.

Excellent and original garden shop in Bath where I always manage to find a vintage bargain or two. It's fascinating to rummage through the antiques in the shop and wander around the pretty, tranquil back garden. Doesn't feel like you're in the heart of the city! The prices are extremely reasonable - the cheapest for miles around but still get the quality. Rich, the owner, is personable and friendly, very honest and works his socks off for his charming, unique little business. Would highly recommend. Please don't take any notice of negative reviews on here - this sad "person" goes under many guises and is known in the local area for writing negative reviews. They are obviously just jealous with very little in their lives and just want to cause trouble to honest, hardworking people. Just look at their other reviews and you will see what I mean! I have driven past this place SOOOO many times and always promised myself that I would have a look one day, and today was that day. It's quite compact and bijou and slightly cluttered but totally worth rummaging through the array of weird, wonderful and quirky items. Anyway, I came away with a heavy stone toad( or maybe a frog) a beautiful piece of driftwood and a couple of plants. Needless to say, I will be back there sooner rather than later and there is a wonderful step ladder and a rusty old anchor that have my name on them! Go on, treat yourself, and although I will never know what you might buy, i guarantee that you will come a smile on your face!

Great little garden shop with a unique collection of antiques and curios for your garden. Also a wide selection reasonably priced new and used tools. Owner was very helpful and friendly.

Excellent local garden centre on the A4 heading east out of Bath. Very close to a bus stop making it ideal for residents of Melksham, Chippenham, and Trowbridge who rely on public transport to get about.

Beautiful shop with a variety of pretty and quirky items, and lovely staff! Wonderful customer service, as I phoned to check if they had a product in stock before travelling from outside of Bath. Hannah was friendly and helpful, confirming that it was in stock and reserved one for me. Collecting it, it was wrapped safely and I'm really pleased with my purchase.

Appalling service. I live less than an hours drive from the store and I paid £48 for delivery. The items took over 21 days to deliver and all of the items arrived heavily damaged. The company were late to respond, were unsympathetic and offered no compensation. I was abruptly told there was no weekend collection and they expected me to take time off work to meet their couriers to collect their damaged goods. They were not sympathetic in the slightest. I have never received such bad service.

Had a lovely experience in store today. Found the perfect print but we weren’t able to take it with us, we were helped by a really lovely lady who gave us multiple options to get our perfect print home. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Customer Service is appalling! I have emailed and written and still waiting for a response 6th Months later regarding a lamp, based of which was not finished and scratch a very expensive walnut surface, that cost several hundred pounds to repolish. I returned it in September 2020 for their inspection, they have kept the lamp and they have kept the money!!!!!! I have asked for the lamps return again ignored. Be very aware of this company !

Very long wait for product and expensive delivery charges for a £95 product. Other similar priced items have free delivery with competitive suppliers. Lamp arrived wonky and looked ridiculous with a normal shade so I returned it. Was charged for the delivery despite it being faulty. I won't be buying from this company again.

Agree with previous reviewer about 'snooty staff'. I used to buy from this company online but the quality of product has really gone down. Silver lamp bases bought 5 years ago have delaminated finish: cheap and nasty.

Amazing Heritage Sourdough Bread! Bath has many bakeries which sell great Sourdough but this bread is rather special. I have not sat in but the place is very busy which is a great sign and the staff are very professional and friendly. Five stars for their bread!

What a fabulous individual coffee shop with atmosphere by the bucket load. The coffee is nothing short of excellent. The toilet is downstairs and is scrupulously clean and quirky. It's a hidden little gem.

I just had a ring repaired here and I am very pleased with the results. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the work done is excellent. This ring has sentimental value to me so I am grateful for their service. The price was reasonable too.

I have known Gold&Platinum Studio for quite a number of years and would not look elsewhere in Bath or the area. I have always had great service (both with new and alterations) and advice. I recommend this highly professional jeweller with no hesitation.

When my platinum engagement ring developed a crack in the band from where it had been poorly resized I was devastated and very concerned that restoring it would be impossible due to the detail of the design. Mike added a new section to strengthen the band and managed to work in the same detail, the repair is barely visible and only on very close inspection on the inside of the band can you see any sign of it having had a repair. I'm so very grateful that Mike was able to restore it to its original glory as everyone I had asked before had said they wouldn't be able to and could only insert a plain band. We will definitely be returning to support this business in the future should we need it or be looking for someone to create a new piece for us.

Recently visited the studio, with several rings I’d inherited, I wanted to get them remodelled into one new statement ring. My engagement and wedding ring also needed resizing and redesigning. Mike, listened to my ideas, and came up with a clever design to incorporate my repurposed engagement ring to fit snug into a gap on the new ring, bringing both up to date and modern. Amanda took the drawing and created the most gorgeous ring. I was so pleased I shed tears 😢 i can’t stop looking at them, and had lovely compliments since taking it home. I would recommend, the gold and platinum studio especially if you have several rings you’ve been thinking about getting remodelled.

Harvest is an ethical wholefood shop with a take away café and deli.  Full 4* shorts review at coeliacwellnes.com.  The deli team were really up to date with their allergen training, and label everything in their display as GFI (gluten free ingredients) because of the risk of cross contamination.  Got me some tasty raw vegan cakes straight from the box so they were still coeliac friendly.  Also have some excellent gluten free items in the store, but take care with the refillables.

This is the best supermarket in Bath! I often pop in for a hotpot takeaway lunch. Or to pick up some organic vegan groceries. Beaut products, beaut staff.

A real gem of a shop. Popped in just to see what they sold, found they sold everything on my shopping list that I thought I'd need to buy online. From peppercorns and prunes to Booja Booja chocolate. I then found the cafe / takeaway and purchased 2 made to specifics teas, and some lovely cakes to go with. Especially the G.F D.F Raw Cakes !! O.M.G possibly the best of their kind I've yet encountered, I bought one o f each, one was Passionfruit ,one Mango, one Chocolate, I've eaten 2, the chocolate is for tomorrow, absolutely heavenly.

All in all this is a beautiful wholefood store. There are some really lovely staff . Delicious deli. Local organic food . It's ruined by some of the rude , grumpy , uncommunicative and stuck up staff who make you feel unwelcome . I dread seeing these people but its the only wholefood shop in Bath .

A bit messy shop, but cheapest essential oils ever found (teatree, amour natural). Many products priced very reasonably comparing to other Somerset healthfood shops. Lady at the deli counter not bothering to respond to a simple 'hello'...also how about some smiles, please!...customer service could be better.

I really love this shop. It has a great selection of vegan and organic foods and a really great bulk section. The staff is really lovely and there is a true community atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

I brought my trans friend here who has recently started hormone therapy and although we were unable to buy anything the lady was so lovely and supportive, she even gave my friend an estimate of her size and some fantastic advice. We will definitely be back when she is able to be properly fitted.

I searched for a local lingerie shop to get a fitting and purchase some bras. The shop itself is clean and well laid out, and the service staff are warm and welcoming. I was taken into a pretty changing room and brought an array of bras one at a time to try on and gage what size I was. Each bra fit perfectly after we established what size I required. The lady attending to me has an eye for fashion and what suited my frame. Unfortunately, the bras were outside of my current budget, but despite that the lady serving me was absolutely lovely, informed me about their gift card options and treated me with dignity. Fantastic service and lovely service staff. Once I'm in a position to treat myself I intend to visit again.

My friend and I visited ‘The dressing room’ today for the first time as we have both recently moved to the Bath area. To preface we are uni students, however, no shop assistant should ever judge customers based upon their age or looks. Walking in, the pieces were exquisite and beautiful, there is no problem in this department, i was familiar with a lot of the brands stocked due to being an active lingerie buyer specifically from smaller boutiques rather than high street chains as it’s something i’m passionate about and do spend time and good money on. I was aware of the price points of the different pieces due to having a large collection and being a frequent buyer in a shop nearer to my home town. I picked up a slip and after checking the brand and size, due to already owning it in a different colour way i knew it would fit and there would be no need to try it on, so i carried it on the hanger whilst trying to look around the rest of the store. The shop assistant asked if i would like to try it on and i politely declined stating i would like to hold onto it whilst looking around. The disgusting look of judgement i received, was not only offensive and insulting but also intimidating. There was also another customer in the store, separate to me and my friend who was sharing looks with the shop assistant, adding to the uncomfortable air. I then asked to look at suspender belts as it was something i needed, the same shop assistant presented them to me whilst still being more than rude, cold and looking at my friend and i like we were less than the scum on a shoe. This was made worse by said shop assistant and customer jointly laughing under their breaths in the most condescending manner and glaring at us. The air was so uncomfortable, i stopped looking at the suspender belts, placed the slip back and my friend and i left. I have shopped in more expensive lingerie boutiques across the world and have never received treatment so appalling nor have i ever felt so uncomfortable. Whether or not we looked like we could afford the pieces is not the point (i’m sure we have all watched ‘Pretty Woman’) because i could and would have happily purchased multiple items if the customer service had not been so appalling. I was excited walking into the store at first because i adore the brands stocked and know the quality is more than amazing, but never have i been so shocked at the treatment received in a store. Lingerie is for empowering women, to elevate confidence and self esteem, and i’m disheartened that there would be such treatment in an environment that should be welcoming. With that being said, i would be more than happy to come back and buy ALL the pieces i had my eye on, if there was to be a different member of staff, one who didn’t judge due to age and knew how to welcome women wanting to buy pretty lingerie without discrimination.

The lovely ladies in the store create such a warm and welcoming environment and are so willing to help you find the perfect style and fit. Jody remodeled my three 'unwanted' rings together into one piece. Those old rings have all got small stones, one of them is platinum. Wow! what an amazing job! Three rings merged into one with stones set within. It's genius. The finished work is well beyond my expectation. I am so grateful, I wear this couture ring everyday.

I've visited a few times making arrangements for our wedding. Jody and her team were all wonderfully welcoming to us (and our dog!), and the end result is absolutely beautiful; they created two custom rings for us to a very high standard. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and willing to help. The prices are affordable too. Highly recommended, and the location opposite Bath Abbey is stunning.

I had seen this necklace in a shop window on our time out and about wandering around Bath with my husband. I saw this beautiful silver, spinel and gold beaded necklace with a tassel. I counted and it had a bead for each of my family members too so I felt instantly drawn to it. It was so gorgeous and I was pleased to hear it was locally handcrafted. I thought we would come back after our walking tour. Later, while I was getting ready to go out to dinner with my sweet husband. While I was in the shower, he RAN out and bought it. (Mind you I was only washing my hair so I take about 15-20 mins!) He is notorious for getting lost so it was an amazing feat that he navigated back to the shop on his own and made it back to the hotel. He surprised me with this unique one of a kind necklace. My man is a top shelf A-1 bloke. He is truly an amazing and romantic man who knows how to surprise and delight me after 10 years. I am so blessed, fortunate and truly favoured. Thank you for making our 10 year anniversary celebration so special!

I was on hunt for a Mother's Day gift and a friend of mine recommended that I check out Boho. I asked the lady working for some advice and she was extremely helpful in pointing me in the right direction. I chose a beautiful scarf for my mother, and for a boutique shop, I was very satisfied with the price point too. I would certainly return in the future both for gifts, or to treat myself to something special for my own wardrobe.

I’m reviewing this shop primarily because I read many reviews complaining about customer service, however, my mum and I were there a couple of weeks ago and we actually enjoyed shopping there so much. The lady at the counter was very nice to us and we exchanged plenty of stories (as I wish we could in other shops and this is something that is really lacking in big chains) and we bought a beautiful dress and skirt. I think my only not so favorite bit is that some of the items don’t have the material on them and I know this is an issue from the brand not the shop but that puts me off from buying something if I don’t know what it’s made of. I’ll be back for sure!

Visited with a female relative, i have to say that if the treatment of the arrogant owner happened in a men's shop it would have closed down. Rude, passive agressivness that is totally unnecessary and goodness knows how the shop stays open. In a tourist town learn to be a people person or do not work in retail. I wanted to go back and give some feedback but was talked out of it, so I thought I would warn anyone coming to Bath avoid, unless your a sado masochist who enjoys being treated like pony whilst handing over money!

What a fantastic little boutique shop. The clothes are lovely and in many ways unique. The styles are varied and size wise very true to what they should be. Bibico doesn't do what many shops do, and that is to pigeon hole those of us over 50 into wearing the standard 'tunic ' style top etc. I bought some lovely chic clothing that isn't your standard colours or shape. The lady serving was SO helpful especially when an issue ensued with online banking going astray! I can't recommend more highly. the quality is well worth the price as previous items last so long and wash amazingly.I strongly advise taking a look.

Well sourced homeware and furniture

It really is a lovely shop, and highly recommended for anyone who has an interest in antique textiles and lighting, or who is just interested in seeing something unique. Most of the great independent shops that gave Bath part of its individual character have disappeared now. This is one of the few left, and is well worth a visit.

If you're looking for a serious, highly detailed museum experience, this might not be it, but it's not a bad thing. The Jane Austen Centre is an entertaining and whimsical tribute to Jane Austen's life and work, not to be taken too seriously. The entire experience is made special by the staff, who are incredibly invested in their roles. Each of them adopts a name from Austen's novels. Their presentation on Austen is entertaining and full of energy. They make it clear that the goal is fun, not a dry lecture, and they are happy to answer any questions you have about Austen's life, showing a genuine passion for the subject. The interactive elements, like getting to dress up in period costumes and try your hand at writing with a quill, add to the charm. It's a lighthearted and engaging way to step back in time. The small gift shop is also worth a look for unique souvenirs.

We started our trip there - what a way to start. My kids surprised me with a trip for my birthday. The host and staff were amazing - they made the experience real. They dressed the part and their subtle ways of talking was refreshing without being cheesy. Thank you for a lovely day.
