Would definitely recommend this place for meals if you are visiting Bath. They serve very nicely cooked meals and have a nicely decorated environment for you to enjoy your meal. Must try their signature 3x handplyed scallop, with the green sauce and lemon, fresh and nicely cooked. They offer lunch set which we can have refillable yorkshire tea with a main course. Their cod fillet is fresh and juicy, with the green paste and sauce together, just perfect. Salmon fishcake is another recommended dish if you like salmon. Different texture but still nicely cooked. Overall portion is big together with the potato. It’s a gem in Bath. We were seated on the open terrace, which can directly feel the chill in the air and direct sunlight. Mint chocolates come with the bill box is just nice as well. The waiter and waitress were very responsive and friendly from seating until leaving. Pet friendly restaurant

Cozy two storey eatery with plenty of seats. Its popular and getting pretty crowded during peak hours. Plentiful of fresh seafood selection and good wine list. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Tried the cod lion. Crispy on the battery, moist on the inside, delicious to taste. Elderflower drink was refreshing. Definitely worth a visit in Bath

The Best Crab I’ve Had in a While 🦀 Everything about this meal was spot on the crab was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. The seasoning struck the right balance between spice and sweetness, letting the natural taste of the crab shine through. Lovely food but very pricey so maybe one for special occasions. The grilled fish options are excellent, highly recommend going for those. We had the John Dory and Skate Wing and both were lovely. The scallops in the starters were the highlight, perfectly cooked. The sourdough with anchovy butter was disappointing - 2 small pieces of bread for £3.50 with no option of ordering additional bread without the butter.

Foods amazing, great service, easy to book online with few clicks. Real pet friendly place for eating, not just pets allowed. The seafood plate was so fresh that we decided to order 4 more oyster after. The sour dough and dip surprised me and the tomatoes in the salad were sweet and fresh. The fries matched well with the curry sauce, and wines were perfect, which were recommended by the staff. Staffs are super nice and friendly, my pets got their water bowl and treats. We had a lovely time there. I will definitely recommend people to eat here when visiting Bath.

The food was lovely and tasted really fresh. We were seated at a great table, and the staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond. The fish cake balls starter was a little salty, but the mains were excellent and full of flavour. The complimentary dessert for graduates was a very thoughtful touch. A wider choice of soft drinks, maybe including post-mix, would be great. Overall, a fantastic experience with fresh food and brilliant service!

We visited dor lunch and it was superb. The starters were great grill prawns were excellent and the salmon tartare was superb! Then we shared the Turbot which was fantastic, really nice accompaniments as well. We also had the Vino Verde which complimented the dinner perfectly. Really great dinning experience,

We came here for brunch/breakfast. I had the poached egg with salmon which was lovely. We also had two cocktails. The atmosphere is nearly like from a fairytale especially with the pianist playing. Definitely recommend to anybody.

Went for the tea menu at 12 noon. The atmosphere was great! The high ceilings and classical music really add to the ambience. Huge applause to the pianist who played for an hour! The music was so so good! The tables are spaced out very well too, so it made the experience very private. We felt that the green pea savoury bites were super good, wished there were more! Scones were pretty standard. And the raspberry shortbread dessert bite was super good! Jane Austen tea was really good! Tasted like earl grey with earthy notes and a tinge of rooibos flavour at the end. You can get a glimpse of the Roman Baths from the pump room too!

My daughter and I had the most wonderful experience having tea at the Pump Room! Some reviews I read had been somewhat concerning regarding the quality and freshness of the food, but we found everything exceptional and delicious. Thank you for an amazing afternoon treat, in every regard!

The afternoon tea experience was enjoyable. I did find the setting a bit crowded, and the other guests tended to the T-shirt wearing type. Nonetheless, the service was good and the food was excellent. The Pump Room is beautiful and imbued with history.

I booked a Jane Austen Afternoon Tea for a party of 4 midweek and we loved every minute of the experience! From the entrance all the way to our table the service and staff were outstanding. The live music was a great touch. The menu looked good, but I have to admit, the food and drinks were not AS delicious as some of the other tea times that we’ve had. The Darcy cocktail sounded so promising but was a bit too bitter and flat. What you are paying for is definitely the ambiance and location. You feel like you’re sitting in a room full of so much rich history that I would’ve paid 2x more for this feeling. You’re also able to taste the spring water from the King’s fountain in this tea room. We loved it very much and would certainly book again.

My daughter treated me to a lovely Jane Austen afternoon tea . It was amazing with such a lovely atmosphere. Definitely be coming again fingers crossed.

Good standard for a 1 star. Manager in shift felt a bit disconnected or odd if I may say. All the waiters were professional and attentive. Wine was delicious and well recommended. We had the 3 course set with amuse bouche and petits fours, flavours were different and interesting, chefs coming to the tables was refreshing to see and well executed. It left a bit to desire on actual course size and time that it took for us to finish our meal. It was all too quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite nice. I would just say the walls were missing some extra decor. Overall good experience, though for the price paid it left a bit to desire.

An instant favourite. Great food and service, spacious tables, lovely atmosphere. Reasonably priced for 2025: £70 for three courses. Interesting crab with tomato essence segued to amazing bread and clotted cream - I asked for a second helping. Lobster was so tender and fresh and raspberries were a great balance against the heavy food. Wine was £9 a glass. What a fantastic experience

We booked a stay at the charming Queensbury Hotel during a visit to Bath last weekend, and thought it would be great to sample the only Michelin Star restaurant in the city, which is in the hotel. The restaurant is on the lowest floor bit is light and airy and tastefully decorated - though the lighting was a little too bright (especially the spots), for a cosy dinner and didn't flatter the presentation of the dishes unfortunately. We opted for the 5 course taster with a wine pairing. (We were already in the hotel, so no need to drive, do why not?). As expected the food was great with beautiful flavour combinations, perfectly executed. The wine pairing really added to the dishes, though the wine portions were a little meagre. The service was also great from a very young staff, though sometimes their presentation and descriptions of the dishes seemed over rehearsed and unnatural. But I'm sure confidence will shine through soon enough. All in all a very satisfying Michelin Star dining experience.

We almost cancelled our booking because of a recent review but we are so glad we went. The food was delicious and full of rich, balanced flavours (the pictures online really don’t do it justice). Every dish was beautifully presented, and both the vegetarian and meat options were packed with taste, creativity and quality. The team was professional, polite, and attentive, and the restaurant itself is stylishly decorated with a warm atmosphere. Having eaten in several Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, we can confidently say this restaurant deserves its star. The only slightly odd thing was the bread being served in the middle of the meal instead of at the beginning — but it was so good that we did not care about the choice of sequencing in the menu. We recommend this restaurant if you enjoy good food!

Michelin star restaurant. Innovative, flavorful. 7 course tasting menu was made gluten free. Each course was beautifully plated, with complex combination of flavors that was impressive and delicious. Highly recommend. For smaller appetites, I recommend choosing 3 or 5 course options.

Love when places of this quality do vegan menus. It didn't disappoint at all! Beautifully presented, incredible tastes and service was amazing. From a vegan food perspective, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vegan fine dining experience.

I really wanted to like the Olive Tree but this is not Michelin star dining. Most courses were either underwhelming, bizarre or just unpleasant. The trout was flavourless and it had a pin bone left in it. The rye bread, which oddly came four plates in, was a basic bread roll. The raviolo had so much going on that it was completely lost, and the plate included some sad wedges of leek that were truly bleak. The "islands chocolate" had so much olive oil and balsamic that it was like a mouthful of salad. The raspberries were just frozen raspberries in pieces with some meringue atop a flavourless "tonka bean" mousse. The food is pretentiousness with no substance. The staff are also a little bit too inexperienced to be able to deliver the level of service you should expect when you're paying upwards of £200 per person and they deliver every course with a level of theatre that only much, much better food can justify. Honestly, save your cash.

This place is a hidden jewel of Bath. Held in an old wine cellar, it is very romantic. And the food was delicious with excellent presentation and service. Our server was Lucky and he was extremely professional. 10/10 will come back if ever in Bath!

We had an outstanding dining experience at Sotto Sotto! Our waiter, Lucky, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and accommodating with all of our dietary requirements, making us feel completely at ease. What an exceptional restaurant! Great food, great place and great staff! Our party had three courses. Everything tasted exceptional and was well presented. There was one issue, but this was dealt with promptly and to our complete satisfaction. Do not be put off by the exterior (it's next to building works, and downstairs). The overall experience is a must, and can't recommend it high enough.

We went to Sotto Sotto, an Italian restaurant in the city center. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere, with soft music and friendly staff. We were served by Lucky. He asked us if we were celebrating something, and we said yes. At the end, he brought a birthday dessert and even offered to take a photo of us. He was very kind. We loved the place and the food.

Do not be deterred by the building works next door or the stairs down to the restaurant, this is a gem of an Italian restaurant. Excellent food and attentive but not obtrusive service. Can highly recommend the seafood linguine and the swordfish steak, and a lovely range of starters.

Unbelievable experience. Lucky and Carlos are the two kindest people I’ve ever met. Service and food were amazing they were very attentive and couldn’t do enough I’d recommend this restaurant over and over again. What a gem this place is. We booked a table for our honeymoon and were treated like royalty. A front window table, and top notch service. Being Gluten Intolerant my menu had been marked specifically for my needs, and was given the utmost care and thoughtfulness. The olives to start were plump, garlicky and smokey. The food when it arrived was amazing. The ocean bream was crisp, and the samphire and saffron sauce just delicious. We literally mopped up our plates. The steak was tender, the the panne cotta and chocolate torte with poached plum just absolutely delicious. Amarelle who served us was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. What a lovely restaurant - a must visit.

Lovely Sunday Lunch, great menu and wine list with good selection for everyone. The wild garlic soup was excellent 👌🏻 The scallops starter was a disappointment, it contains three small scallops, all overcooked to different levels and textures. The sauce / dressing was great. For main we had the duck, lamb and beef - all cooked to perfection, pink and juicy, well seasoned. Fries were crispy and nice. The vegetables on the plate and as a side were too soft and bland, could have done with more TLC. Desserts were stunningly good, simple ingredients, perfect presentations and creative. It felt like there was one apprentice cooking vegetables with minimal care while everything else was well taken care of. However, this should not stop anyone from trying this lovely little gem.

Lovely room, nice service. Sadly the food was really not good. The ravioli with smoked potato was tough, and the smokyness a weird flavour. The ricotta gnudi was very salty and sitting in a pond of melted butter, couldn’t eat more than a few bites. These two dishes plus a leaf salad was over £40 - wouldn't mind if it were good, but I left hungry. If you’re giving it a go then definitely order bread - hopefully thats a safe bet in case you also dislike the food.

I was revisiting an old “favourite” vegetarian restaurant now in completely different ownership from my student days but still a haven for original vegetarian food served with style and passion and showcasing local ingredients as a central theme, but with unique and delicious flavours and twists. I enjoyed the variety so much that I dined at “The Oak” for four days running to be able to sample the menu in its full entirety. The standout dishes off the current menu for me were: the potato terrine, the carrot pâté, the middle beetroot, the chocolate tart, and the pistachio semifreddo. Thank you to the lovely waiting staff and chefs for your knowledge, passion and skill. With much gratitude. 🙏🏼 I highly recommend anyone to dine here when visiting the city of Bath.

I thought the place looked cute inside. However the food was some what lacking. Most of the dishes were overly salty and creamy. It did not hit the spot in terms of taste or how it was cooked. The hummus was yummy though. I feel the ethos of the restaurant is great, but some more creativity in terms of flavour and pairings as well as cooking things better, would make this place a winner. I found the portions to be big for sharing so that was great. I went because it was on the Michelin guide, so I'm slightly miffed that the main flavour was salt. Hope they can improve.

Simply outstanding vegetarian food. I'm a meat eater, but my partner is vegetarian and I'd heard it's the kind of place that carnivores love. They were right, this is superbly cooked and generous sharing plates of vegetarian food. 2-3 plates per person recommended (we split the difference with five between two, and would have been fine with four or six). The bread is a huge highlight, so make sure you opt for the aubergine foccacia, and the hummus with homemade flatbread. We'll definitely be back!

We went to Oak for a treat. Nice to have a place which is vegetarian/vegan. Lovely space with nice dried flower arrangements. Friendly young service, love the informal style. Our dishes were tasty with delicate flavours, if you like a flavour bomb you would possibly be disappointed. We really loved the celeriac schnitzel sandwich a kind of fish fingers sandwich and the pickled veg with cashew cream. Would go again.

This is one of the first few shops my family and I came to during our first trip to Bath. The place was really lovely, very warm waitress accompanied by warm service, coupled with lovely food that’s not too filling but at the same not too light. Personally, I would say the buns are really unique that can’t be found anywhere else in the UK or back from where I come from in Malaysia. Really glad to have visited this shop with my family during our trip to the UK!

Ordered their english breakfast bun (comes with a pot of blend tea or americano coffee) and double bacon bun. The bun is soft inside but crispy outside, not a bread lover, but like this texture and flavour of bun. Match well with the mushrooms, eggs, bacon and sausages. Sausages might be a bit too salty, eat together with bun then it is fine. Double bacon is just normal, but everything brought up by the nice bun.

Peak pastries in an old building that was started by a French lady? We ordered scones with clotted cream and jam, a lemon tart and traditional tea with the cubes and milk. Tea was kinda watery but hey we got the experience. Scones were good and Huge, tasted so good with the cold clotted cream and tangy jam. Tart in sweet bread was okay, too much bread for our liking and too tart. We also ordered potato and leek soup which was perfectly chunky and leaky— I loved it with the bread yum

Fascinating history with using the original recipe dating back to the 1600s, and absolutely delicious bun! Very large, with a perfect crispiness on the outside, and incredibly soft & fluffy on the inside. Excellent with the cinnamon butter topping, though I found it a tad too sweet. The service isn't the friendliest, however it's still definitely worth stopping by for a unique taste of history, and a warm, freshly made treat :)

Certainly best toasted. Tip 👇 Ordered takeaway of two famous Sally Lunn buns—one with sweet lemon curd and the other with cinnamon butter. Service was friendly, though there was a short wait. Packaging was neat (cutlery provided) and the buns were excellent—soft, light, and delicious. The buns were warm and ready to eat, and the extra we took home microwaved/toasted beautifully. A must-try Bath experience. Tip: go straight to the museum shop in the basement (accessed via a narrow Georgian spiral staircase) to order your take-home bun. The shop has some museum displays and good lighting, but it’s small and can feel a bit claustrophobic.

There were queues up the street, so we were disheartened and wet. However, on the way back we saw it was quieter and went inside. It is a really lovely experience. You eat Bath Buns which are gorgeous, with a teapot and there is a little museum downstairs - not much but adds to the atmosphere. Slow service but they are busy! Well worth a visit.

Had a quick look in the little museum and purchased a Bunn to take away and cook at home. Made my own version of a cinnamon butter and then a melted cheese and spring onion one too. Very nice.

We enjoyed an excellent meal last week. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The standouts were the melon gazpacho, the mussels and the porchetta! Set menu also came with a complimentary beverage (house wine or soft drink) which was a nice bonus as the value proposition for this kind of quality for the price was already excellent. Service was warm and friendly as one would hope and expect. We recommend booking in advance. Highly recommend and we will most definitely come again on our next visit to Bath. Of course dressing nicely enhances the overall experience 😊

Good food, nice staff. We went for a 2 course menu, they have 2 vegetarian options as well. I had the mussels and the fish, incredibly big portions. For the vegetarian options, one of them was the flower courgette, which was tasty, but would say the dish is kind of small, just one courgette flower. All in all it was tasty and a good experience. Keep in mind that you will also have to pay a service fee per person, which is 4 pounds per person.

We absolutely loved our visit to The Circus! Warm and friendly greeting from our waitress who was marvellous throughout our 2:5 hour long lunch with friends! The set lunch menu was incredible value at £38 for three courses and a glass of wine/soft drink. All the dishes were delicious and nicely presented. The location is lovely too - next to the beautiful circus of Georgian townhouses. It’s larger than it looks as there is a bigger dining section downstairs. Definitely book a table as it is popular. Can’t wait to return!

We went at lunchtime on a Tuesday. Just nicely busy. Service was excellent: relatively formal in keeping with style, but also relaxed enough to be very comfortable. We had summer rolls, and burnt ends for starters - both gave us confidence we were in for a treat! We had the vegetarian lasagne and guinea fowl as mains - which we both enjoyed very much. I had roast peach cheesecake for dessert, which was a classic baked cheesecake, and a little heavy - made me realise that the previous courses were quite filling i.e. deceptively generous portions. We stuck to the 2 / 3 course set lunch menu and had soft drinks - and it felt like very good value for a premium experience.

This was a fantastic meal. The cost was reasonable and the atmosphere amazing. We had side iron steak, bread and leek fondue for starters with donuts. The dessert was apple pie. they made a lovely gesture as it was my birthday! Service was impeccable. Will defintely go back if I go back to Bath!!

Absolutely spectacular food. Really great service. Super cute venue. We sat outside which in the warm weather was very much appreciated. Both had the Porchetta which was delicious, the sauce in particular was divine. Desert had the Lemon Possett and the Crème Brûlée. Super great. Definitely worth a trip, but booking appears mandatory as several disappointed people were turned away!

We went for dinner in our short trip to Bath and were not disappointed. This is our first time trying Nepalese cuisine. It totally exceeded our expectation. It’s aromatic and tender with a hint of spiciness. We would recommend pork Bhutuwa. The aubergine dish was quite mild compared to the rest. Service and atmosphere are top-notch like the restaurant has transferred you to Nepal once you have entered it! Worth a visit!

Was lucky to get in here, after ridiculously.let down by the 'Pear of India' Glad they did!!! Upon arrival Was greeted by a beautiful smile, and all the staff seemed so happy to accommodate you. Went with the: Yak Leti Lamb Pork Bhutuwa Stunningly succulen, delicious and rich favoured. Genuinely enjoyed every morsel. Prices are also beyond reasonable for what you get! Highly recommended

Incredible food. Some of the best I've ever eaten. The meat was succulent, flavourful and spices were incredibly aromatic. Poppadoms were cooked to perfection and the sweet chutney was some of the most flavourful I've ever had. This is an absolute treat if you come to Bath. Would recommend the Yak Leti Lamb and Pork Bhutuwa. The dumplings were also cooked so well, it kickstarted our meal for us! Amazing night out!

Amazing little place in bath The food is was great. We were warned that the chili chicken was vindaloo spicy and possibly too hot for us. Not at all. Tasty and spicy the right amount of spice and so very flavorful. Great night

This restaurant has a unique style, eating while seating on the floor was a nice experience. Staff are very friendly and amazing. I ordered the Yak Yeti Yak Lamb, the hot one and the waitress warn me about the spicyness and she’s not joking but I still enjoy the food. I will recommend this restaurant.

A delightful independent Thai establishment in Bath. Let’s begin with the starter I ordered. The tempera courgettes (which were a substitute for the tempura mushrooms). A light crisp of batter, these were addictive, particularly paired with the homemade mayonnaise. Then onto my spicy beef bowl. All elements were perfect; Broth was well spiced, fresh noodles, lovely tender pieces of beef and pork. Plenty of fresh veg. Yes fresh is the operative word. Everything is fresh here. It’s lovely. Area of improvement would be the service. There was not enough cutlery in the pot for the number of diners at my table. Additionally, we did request napkins and they took a while to come.

Our first visit and hopefully not our last. After a big tour of Vietnam this year we were keen to try Noya’s kitchen and it didn’t disappoint. Stunning, authentic Vietnamese food. Highly recommend the slow cooked pork noodles! Nothing disappoints. Wonderful atmosphere and service! Well done Team Noya.

Had a really yummy lunch at Noya’s. I walked in just past noon on a Tuesday and was lucky enough to get a table about 20 minutes later. I sat on the patio out back, which was quiet with a good amount of space and some tables in the shade. The service was quick and polite. I got the pork belly noodles and they were fantastic. I’m still thinking about them days later. All of the elements came together beautifully. The portion was large and satisfying - though I was sad I didn’t get a chance to try any other dishes since I was already full!

INCREDIBLE ✨ I wish I took some photos before I started stuffing my face but have attached what I did take (pork is beyond half eaten by this point, whoops). The food here is honestly amaaaazing. I’m something of a Vietnamese food connoisseur and this is definitely one of the top Vietnamese restaurants I’ve visited (including in Vietnam itself). The pork bun noodles are out of this world good! The pork belly is so tender and flavourful.. definitely order this if you visit. We also had the fried mushrooms which were also great, and some Vietnamese iced coffee which was really good too - not too sweet how we like it. The only negative I have is that I’m far from a local so won’t have the opportunity to eat here often, but I’ll definitely be back 🤩

When popped in for a quick lunch on our trip but wish we had gone here for dinner rather than our other reservation. The food was INSANE! So so good honestly we rushed our visit as we had to shoot off but wish we had more time. The menu was great, the drinks were great and the food was just superb. When we come back to Bath this will be up there as one of our main attractions!

One of my favorite places to eat in Bath! Not the most extensive menu but when the food is this good you don't need many options! The food is incredible and the staff are always very welcoming and attentive. Would always recommend booking if you can as it's only a small restaurant and gets full quickly.

We had dinner there on Saturday night. The restaurant is not big inside yet we felt comfortable and it has a nice atmosphere. The food was so delicious! Generous portions and authentic Vietnamese flavours. The menu isn’t big which is always a good sign. Few dishes but all done really well. I had a passion fruit martini which I enjoyed. Was looking forward to eating here.from the start thought it was pricey at £32 for a beef dinner but thought it would be incredible... was just average we had a good time lady who served us liv was lovely thank you. Dinner wasn't hot the meat portion is an absolute joke crazy prices for drinks.. Building is outstanding ...we took the service off as i thought the cost of the food was crazy already wasn't to do with service that was great

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Beckford Canteen. Everything was spot on from start to finish. The roast chicken was perfectly cooked — juicy with crispy skin — and came with all the proper trimmings: rich gravy, seasonal vegetables, and a giant Yorkshire pudding that was light and fluffy inside. The sides were just as good as the main event. The cauliflower cheese was creamy, indulgent, and topped with just the right amount of cheese. The crispy layered potatoes were absolutely addictive — golden on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It felt like the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a proper, elevated Sunday roast in Bath.

Another amazing experience at The Beckford Canteen. Staff are always the right level of attentive, so friendly and knowledgeable about the menus. The decor/ambience inside is perfect - it feels like such a safe, warm space to enjoy your meal. And finally the food really is exceptional. We ate the beetroot and the trout (delicious!) for starter, followed by the venison for main, which I would really recommend. This was our third time returning to eat, and we will certainly be back. A big thank you again to the whole team for a wonderful evening.

This place is beyond amazing! Absolutely gorgeous roast. We had the roast beef and roast pork, both amazing! What also took my breathe away were the sides. The cauliflower cheese and confit fried potato were so flavourful that I had tears in my eyes. It is so hard to get a decent roast these days but this place knows what they are doing. They are teaching the wider public what a good, decent roast is. I would travel 2hr30 everyday to have this roast if I must! For £32 to get the roast with all its trimming. Please check the fat on the beef, when it is that colour, you know the beef is excellent, dry aged and sourced in the UK! Desserts; bergamot panna cotta gave a lovely undertones of floral bergamot taste with the bergamot lemon curd and raspberry and the apple torte was a revelation. Love the fact they make a kid roasts too. I cannot wait to come back.

Was visiting Bath for 3 days and sadly had lots of bad food (despite the places having good reviews)! So I was very happy to finally find some properly good food. The set lunch menu was very good value. Perfectly cooked piece of fish. Loved the chocolate fondant + cardamom ice cream!!!

Had some disappointing food in Bath despite many good reviews, so we were very pleased after visiting Beckford Canteen. Really lovely food and a warm and inviting restaurant. Lovely and king wait staff! Decently priced food for the quality you are getting. The pumpkin ravioli was very tasty - some of the best pumpkin food I’ve had in Bath this autumn!

One of the most charming pubs in Bath. Their signature pies are top notch every single time, but so are their sausages and all the other wonderful things they pile onto your plate! Their gravy flavours compliment the pies ans sausages so well. They also sale local ales and ciders. Staff are friendly and talkative. Unfortunately you can't book but this place is so worth the visit because the food and atmosphere are fantastic!

A nice and charming pub with a surprising amount of seating tucked away here and there. Good pub grub on the menu. We visited several times over two days in Bath, and the crowds varied, though it got busiest in the evenings. At times it was tricky to get a table. I’d recommend the booths on the ground floor – some of the tables upstairs have annoyingly low tables (or ridiculously high chairs). Their Pimm’s and their pies come highly recommended!

The Raven in Bath looks like a classic British pub that delivers top class food and drinks. I tried their venison pie and having venison for the first time too, wow it was comforting and very well made. The atmosphere was lively and cozy with wood-panelled floors and tight corners. The staff were very friendly and it was quite crowded when I got in. About the beer and ales, insane selection! Their house brews are strong with, I guess, a rotating menu. The price is expensive but you get what you pay for! The Raven is easily one of the top picks in Bath.

Good quality beer and food, friendly service and the classic English pub athmosphere. A great variety of beers to chose from, worth ordering a flight to pick your favorite before going deep into it! :) A number of traditional dishes to satisfy your appetite, all quite tasty. Great location in Bath just a walk from many of the rest attractions.

Fabulous beers always! So well kept. Great variety and we recommend trying halves of a few different types as they are all so good and go really well with the very good food. The Roast beef was particularly tasty, as was the pork.. the pies are really nice too.

A boozer par excellence - cask ale choices are tip top. Staff knowledgable. Pies delicious. Ambiance friendly. Wonderful pub that will always be visited if I’m in Bath.

Have eaten at The Raven a few times now, and the food really is very good. I always opt for one of the pies and they always come out great with some nice little trimmings that make it memotable. The chips are spot on as well, nicely done, and the accompanying gravy is a good flavour and consistency. They have a relatively simple menu but they stick to what they do best and I am pleased that they do.

This is literally the best restaurant we've ever been to. From the moment we walked in to be greeted by Gordon and staff by name, to our last goodbyes, we were treated impeccably. The ambiance was fantastic, the music and decor so fun and added to the over all experience. It was such a happy place! Lastly, the food was absolutely perfect! It was so creatively and beautifully plated and tasted even better. We literally savored every single bite! We are from the U.S. and I would plan a trip back to Bath, simply to have this experience again. Gordon is truly an artist and his team was dedicated, kind and so professional. Worth every penny and more.

We went here as a birthday treat. The set menu is a surprise 6 course taster menu and every dish was interesting delicious and wonderfully presented. I had the wine flight and my partner had the non alcoholic flight the pairing with the food worked really well. The taster menu changes all the time depending on what is in season what is available or what the chef’s are inspired to cook. It’s quite a small place about 20 covers and when we went at lunchtime . The pace of the dishes and the explanation of the food, especially the wine was great. Thanks for a lovely memorable experience.

My birthday tonight and had a very special meal with my wife. The food is simply magical and it always surprises! I'm not sure why Gordon doesn't have a Michelin star. The music whilst eating enhanced my evening as it's the stuff I listen to. A joy, a pleasure and a real talented chef. We shall be back! Special.

OMG. The best meal and the best experience ever for an amazing meal. The chef, Gordon Jones, is open, fun and super talented. The courses are ever changing and a surprise when you show up. Only after the meal is complete so you get a copy of the menu. It’s expensive but worth it.

I stopped in for brunch and was welcomed right away by the friendly staff and shown to a table. I ordered an oat chai latte, which was so good I couldn’t resist having a second. The huevos rancheros was tasty —crispy tortillas, well-seasoned pinto beans, soft scrambled tofu, and fresh avocado (not brown or soggy, always a win!) Portion size was quite generous. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed and comfortable. Definitely a spot I’d like to return to.

A lovely, purely vegan menu is so nice to see. We had tacos, corn, and the burger and all were amazing (didn't stop to take photos unfortunately). 5 vegan puddings to choose from is quite the treat, I can't resist sticky toffee pudding and I wasn't disappointed!

Had brunch here recently and deeply regretted it. Given the good ratings and juicy pictures I thought it was worth a go but it turned out every bit of food on my plate was both bland and at the same time too salty. Vegan food can be great, but this place really does it a disservice, especially at this price point.

Delicious gluten-free bread and English breakfast! The cafe had such a nice ambience, and you can see the abbey from the window. As a vegan Celiac, I was very content.

A tapas style italian eaterie with really easy vibes. Goats cheese ice cream and polenta cake should not work, but it so does here. I have always been disappointed by scallops. Here, they were buttery juicy and loved, a reason to go pescatarian? Absolutely. Do not get me started on the beef dish (it did not make it to picture taking it was that good!!). Cod flaky, tender pork, arrinchin... nothing on here was 'just ok' The wine and champagne were fabulous, but our host may have been responsible for that additional delight. I live 100 of miles away from here. I will find many reasons to come back....

Quirky bistro, full of atmosphere with lovely conservatory style indoor dining plus covered terrace and added bonus of a cute courtyard when the weather behaves! Wonderful service and simply delicious food. We will return on our next visit to Bath especially as it is dog friendly 🐶

We have been to the cork a few times as love their wines, Alex is very passionate and always helps to recommend ones to us. We decided to go for food and it did not disappoint, we had 4 small plates and a pudding each (2 people) and we were stuffed! The courgette and miso plate was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and the rest was brilliant and beautifully presented. We are quite fussy with food and often disappointed so this was a great experience. Loads of vegetarian options as well.

My partner and I had an amazing evening at Corkage restaurant in Bath. The atmosphere is really lovely, both cosy and refined. The staff is friendly and quick, which made our experience even more enjoyable! As for the food, it was absolutely delicious and original. Every bite was a true treat for the taste buds.😇 I have to give a special mention to the carrot cake it was simply amazing! A dessert that’s definitely worth trying!!! A lovely, cosy restaurant with great food and drink options. We sat outside in the garden, which was so nice on a summer’s evening! It was pretty busy so would definitely recommend booking in advance. Each of the small plates we had was delicious, and there was some really interesting flavours and options that were all done really well. A particular favourite was the courgette dish! The only thing is that each dish is pretty expensive for a small portion - you could get a full meal at other places for the price of one of the dishes, and they recommended 2-3 dishes per person.

One of the nicest restaurant experiences I have ever had! The staff were SO lovely, the food was absolutely incredible, and the wine list was vast with some of my favourite wines that you don't see as often in the UK! I would highly recommend.

Cozy terrace, good service and nice food. We had the £45 tasting menu and liked most the dishes but not all, so 4* overall.

My partner and I sat outside in the sunshine yesterday and were served by Josh. He was really knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide between a few different items we were stuck on. We enjoyed a fabulous light lunch accompanied by outstanding service. The menu offered an excellent variety of dishes, but we chose the anchovies on toast, English peas on focaccia, and Cornish hake with carrot purée. The rhubarb crème brûlée was a triumph– one of the best desserts we've had in quite some time. A true hidden gem!

Lovely place with great food & beautiful wines! We had the charcuterie board with some delicious bread one evening (definitely recommend). But the highlight for sure was (on a different evening) the venison bavette; just perfection with courgette fritters! Must go when you visit Bath!

Delicious food, friendly staff and cool environment. Restaurant is basically within a wine shop, which they have a large selections of good wine, that can pair with some very delicious food. Staffs were very friendly and professional (especially on wine suggestions). I think it was great that I will visit again in the future and recommend to friends and family.

We sat outside to enjoy the sunny afternoon. The sharing plates were excellent. Found them inventive and fun. Service was nice but a little flighty, we always had to be on the lookout for our server. But this did not take away from the experience. Recommend for a quick and pleasant or lazy afternoon bite.

We stopped in for a drink after dinner. There are a number of tables and a large relaxed sofa area at the back. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine from their large selection. The small plates of for looked good but we'd already eaten. This felt like a 'grown ups' place with a great atmosphere and nothing too banging. We look forward to coming back.

Clayton's Kitchen delivered an absolutely flawless dining experience from start to finish. The moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of cosy and calm, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, they made us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of a delight. I had the grilled market fish, and the delicacy of the dish was a testament to the kitchen's skill; every flavour was perfectly balanced and executed. For dessert, the set vanilla cream was a revelation. For once, a dessert that wasn't overly sweet, but instead wonderfully delicate and delicious. The portion sizes were just right, leaving you perfectly satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. This is a must-visit for anyone in Bath looking for impeccable service and truly incredible food.

Very delicious food here. Staffs are also very friendly, and this place is dog friendly as well! I will highly recommend ordering the duck breast, and chicken breast. The chocolate moose is also absolutely amazing.

Lovely spot with great lighting. Food was fabulous and even though servers also dub as bartenders, the service was excellent. Clayton's Michelean Stars are definitely noteworthy and appreciated. The rissoto was deliciously mushroom forward and the grilled fish & chips was a much welcome change from the bog standard.

Visited in August 2025, must say that the Duck was the best meal I've had in a very long time, this must remain on the menu forever. My girlfriend had the chicken on the special menu which she really enjoyed. We had the side carrots and they were also great. Will definitely come back here again in future

We had accidentally booked for the wrong day and they were very accommodating considering our mistake............I will say, it was Absolutely stunning. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. It wasn't cheap but then we didn't expect it to be considering how beautiful the food was. If you’re Italian, you know how hard it is to find a proper pizza abroad – but at Dough Pizza you really feel like you’re back home. The dough is spot on, the toppings are fresh, and the whole experience is just what pizza should be. A huge shout-out to Emanuele, who was absolutely brilliant – friendly, attentive, and made us feel like we were in Italy for the evening. Thanks a lot to the whole team. Lovely pizza, was with my wife and inlaws (Italians) and had the best meal during our whole UK trip here. Ingredients are from Italy and spoke a bunch with the owner about my inlaws family history and their relation to Italy, owner gave us servings of limoncello on the house and had us laughing as we left. Can’t wait to go back.

Went in on a date. Accidentally booked at the wrong location but staff were so helpful and we were sat here quickly. We were served by the most helpful and welcoming member of staff (Emanuele). We were served quickly and drinks and food come in really good time. Overall a brilliant place to have a date or just a really good meal!

Great pizza restaurant in the centre of town with a wide selection of interesting pizza bases to choose from. The entrances are from either The Corridor or Northumberland place (the lanes that run between Milsom street and Broad Street)

The best Gluten Free Pizza I have had since being diagnosed as Coeliac! The turmeric base was delicious and my husband could not tell the difference. Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

This place is superb, especially at 1 am, since it stays open until 2 in the morning. There was someone guiding us downstairs, as the entrance isn’t very obvious. Inside, there are three different rooms, each uniquely delightful, and the ambience is incredible. The cocktails are delicious, with strong and satisfying flavours. Highly recommended

Probably the best cocktails I’ve ever had, a lot of care goes into preparing them with unique choices and classics available on request. The bar itself was downstairs in a basement and therefore a bit tucked away but once found it was lovely to go somewhere so quirky and different. Drinks were expensive but you get what you pay for. The staff were great too.

We were here on St Patrick’s Day four years ago. The woman bartender made me an Old Fashioned with 12 year old Red Breast (St Patrick’s Day Special) and her homemade bitters (chocolate / chili bitters?) and it’s still the best Old Fashion I’ve had to this day. I’ve bored so many people to death talking about it. I would love the recipe.

No wait on a Sunday night around 9:30, although it seemed the place where you would definitely want one on busier nights. Great well balanced menu with a good variety of lighter lower ABV drinks all the way to heavier spirit-forward cocktails. The bartender was very knowledgeable and able to talk you through the menu. Would strongly recommend a visit here while in Bath.

This little bar is brilliant! We unfortunately didn't get to spend much time here but the service was excellent, such a friendly girl on the front of house. We had a couple of great drinks. One was the white pepper non-alcoholic drink and that was really refreshing. The atmosphere is dark and moody but in a good way. Like a really nice relaxed lounge bar. The music is not too loud. They have a couple of small rooms with sofas, so if you are in a group then these would be perfect for you to all hang out in. The bar is cool and their cocktail selection is amazing. Would definitely go back!

The food was amazing, I've been to other indian restaurants in bath near city center , happen to visit this restaurant and I must admit the food was amazing 👏 🤩. Manager was Narendran was so professional, friendly and kind. Really appreciate him 👍👍👌 we tried halwa with Vanilla ice cream and it was too yummy. Absolutely loved it ❤️. This manager got to know it was my my wife birthday through our discussion and arranged two ice-creams decorated it and gave us surprise. Not just us what i have observed was every guest there were equally looked upon. I would definitely suggest this restaurant if you want to try indian food. This manager Mr.Narendran actually works in Bristol branch so if anyone is from Bristol go visit MINT ROOM there. 5/5 no doubt at all Thanks for making our evening a memorial one ♥️

I went to a fundraiser for The Hair Project at The Mint Room, and it was such a special evening. The presentation was really powerful, you could feel how much heart and purpose was behind it. Mint room provided the perfect setting. The three course dinner after was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!

For me, the Tandoori salmon with dill stole the show - delicate, perfectly charred, and with a fresh herby twist. The Nalli Gosht came in hot (literally), rich with smoky tomato depth and gave serious comfort food vibes. What makes The Mint Room really special is how it reimagines Indian cuisine through a fine dining lens The presentation is elegant, the flavours remain authentic, and the attention to detail is top-tier. It’s no surprise they’ve picked up local and national food awards over the years — well deserved Definitely one to bookmark for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself to something memorable in Bath And don’t let the fact that it’s not right in the city centre out you off - there’s plenty of nearby parking

It’s been 7 years since we were last here. Had the tasting menu (new) and it was superb. The service was excellent, the maitre d explained the dishes and had a real enthusiasm for them. My taste buds thought I’d died and gone to heaven. Highly recommended.

Exceptional service and phenomenal dishes! My partner and I have always enjoyed Indian food, so for our anniversary I booked a table The Mint Room. Being our first time in Bath, and England in general, we were hoping to share some elevated Indian food together. We were not disappointed! Not only was the tasting menu some of the best Indian cuisine we’d ever had, but the service was incredibly kind and welcoming also. Our waiters enthusiastically explained each of the dishes, helping to better immerse us in the experience and provide us with a greater appreciation for the meal. Afterward, we were even given 2 complimentary espresso martinis to commemorate the occasion. Would absolutely recommend!

Probably the best Indian dining experience I've had. We went for the tasting menu, they do a wine pairing option as well, but we didn't go for that. The food looked, smelled and tasted incredible, each course was described as it arrived at the table. The tasting menu is probably one of the more expensive ways to eat here but for the amount of food you get, it is definitely value for money. The chicken tikka was the highlight dish in our opinion.

A great little gem of a restaurant. The food is top notch. We generally get take away but as family was visiting we went to the restaurant. Every dish was delicious, and they were so accommodating for our for year old, preparing less spicy versions of dishes and entertaining her, she loved it! I would definitely recommend for a family dinner

This is my favourite place that I’ve ever visited during my short time at UK. So glad that I could come to try out their “Sunday Roast”! You can never get this kind of food back in Malaysia. If you ever drop by the UK on a Sunday possibly after church, then you want to be here! Special thanks to their warm service making my family feeling very warm welcome.

Fabulous pub with very high quality food and service. Aston and his lady assistant are fantastic hosts, so are the others they all make you so welcome. Food is first class in fact so good we went back a few days later and they remembered our names and what we ate!

Pleasant pub/restaurant in the historic part of Bath. The room we sat in was informal and cozy. Service was attentive and helpful. The food was all good, but nothing memorable. The flavors and quality was evident, but nothing that stood out or felt inventive. Good place for a nice pleasant bite.

Came here last weekend and had the most incredible meal. I did a lot of research into bath before I came and this was one of the best and it really did not disappoint! Incredible staff and a fantastic atmosphere mixed with stunning food with some combinations I have never seen that really made it so very special. Somewhere I can't wait to get back to! The staff, the place and food were all absolutely incredible it was a genuine treat to come here. The most delectable pizza I have ever eaten - our entire table demolished them! You will not find a better pizza place in Bath - nay, England! Incredibly impressed by the high quality ingredients and options available. Very attentive and lovely waitstaff. Great indoor and outdoor seating available. Good value for money.

We had lunch at this pizzeria and overall it was a good experience. If you’re looking for decent Italian-style pizza in Bath, this place is a solid option. It seemed like some of the staff might actually be Italian, which added a nice touch. The only small downside for me was the cheese — not quite like what you’d get in Italy, but that’s understandable in the UK. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend it to others. They also serve a good espresso, which was a nice bonus.

We had pizza at The Oven and it was truly amazing – perfectly baked, full of flavor, and unlike anything we’ve tried before. What made it even more special was the warm and friendly service. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! 🍕☺️

visited this restaurant on my trip to bath and it was great! the portions were way bigger than expected, we meant for a light small pie, but got big ones instead. so so filling, ate more than expected because of how it tasted. we sat outside and the architecture of the buildings were a nice view! lots of people watching ◡̈ their spicy oil is great and was delicious!

Very Good pizza. Ordered Parmigiana. Excellent cheese topping. Likewise we also had a generous portion of chicken salad. Good selection of beer and cider. Definitely a must eat place here in Bath..

American here. The Margherita pizza was PHENOMENAL. Tasty and does not leave you feeling heavy and bloated afterwards. Will be coming here again before we leave. Food here in Bath has been hit or miss. We are so happy we found a restaurant nearby that was VERY GOOD. 11/10.

Pretty good cafe. Staff were all very pleasant, friendly, and efficient. Food was pretty good. It's a small place but it didn't feel cramped. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

This cafe is a little gem just away from the main high street Came across it by chance as just wondering around but what a lucky find had a Brie and bacon sandwich full of flavour and good filling the bread was soft Staff were polite and did not rush you Whilst there customers came in with a dog and they were politely informed that dogs were not allowed which in a restaurant I totally agree with There is some limited seating outside which is restricted due to the pavement width Atmosphere was relaxed and seating areas clean Had a reasonable choice on the menu of breakfast items brunch and sandwiches and a reasonable choice of hot cold and alcoholic drinks

They have good variety of egg based breakfast. We enjoyed their meals. Also, they have a welcoming team.

Welcomed into the café by friendly staff and Sam Cooke; cool, funky soul tracks enriched, but didn't overpower the atmosphere. Honestly: gourmet full English breakfast and coffee! Never had a better FEB; the black pudding was a stand out element, tasting amazing. The fried egg was perfectly done, with a lovely touch; a sprinkling of finely chopped chives on top of the yolk. Even the baked beans seemed a step above average. The homemade Superseed Granola with creamy yoghurt and fresh fruit was so refreshing and distinctive and was a great counterpoint to the fried food; together, adding up to a very well balanced breakfast. The chilled, bottled orange juice had a good, fresh flavour, too. Wish I lived closer; I'd love to return, to try the brunch options, as the rest of the menu looked equally good.

If you're looking for something a bit less Bath-ish then this is for you. I don't know how to describe it except to say this it's not polished Bath. It's more student-y and homely. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Don't miss the chips which are proper potatoes chopped up and fried. Def didn't come frozen in catering size bags! Sandwiches are excellent. Service is genuinely warm. Def a find.

Went here for breakfast during a recent visit to Bath, and it was amazing. We had the scrambled and poached eggs and they were the perfect breakfast. It was also the best iced peach tea I have ever had! Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bath!

Didn't call in but managed to get a seat on a busy weekday morning. It's a cute tiny café with friendly staff, quick service and reasonable prices. We ordered a sandwich, poached eggs on toast and a flat white. If there's one thing I highly recommend, it's the Grilled Bacon and Brie sandwich with their homemade chutney. It is probably the best sandwich I've had so far. Simple flavours yet they work together perfectly! I'd be back just to have that sandwich again :)

A really nice pub almost perfect Sunday roast except the long wait for the food around 40 mins. The interior design is relaxing and makes it a good place to chill. Sunday roast menu gives you good options for sharing and the food is very tasty. We swept the whole table clean after the long wait. I would go back for the food.

A lovely Sunday afternoon lunch for a birthday celebration. The service was lovely and we were left to it. The food was delightful - warm bread and butter to start with! We had three courses (it was a celebration!) and each was as tasty as the one before. For a Sunday afternoon the restaurant area was busy, but it wasn't too overbearing and was easy to speak to each other.

In a city full of lovely dining places, Walcott House is a great example - good food, friendly staff, great environment - and easier to find a table, as it is that little bit larger than most. We had a table for 4 on a busy Saturday night, but we felt looked after the whole time. Food was excellent, the rooms are fun - there are two distinct areas, with the back more open plan and the front more intimate. I would go again when I'm next in Bath.

This place is air conditioned. After 11 days of our tour eating without air conditioning they saved the best for last. The vegetarian Celerian leek pie was the best “pie” I’ve had in 11 days. The “Think Drink” coctail was delicious. Try their side dish of Isle of Wright tomatoes also.

Breakfast at Walcot House was lovely. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, food was served quickly and the produce is high quality. Pricing in line with other restaurants in Bath but a very enjoyable vibe. Would definitely recommend!

I loved tbh e vibe of the pace, not just the design but also the people and the background music - it was friendly, comfortable, welcoming and you just wanted to stay Luckily the food and drinks followed suit, we had the roast and it was very good, generous with the vegetables and less so with the single slice of meat We were a family of four and as you can see it was on the not-so-cheap side and we’ll certainly be back

I celebrated my birthday at Walcott House, and from the moment I first emailed to enquire right through to the evening itself, everything was absolutely seamless. The team were so attentive and helpful, making the whole experience feel effortless. The ambiance was beautiful, warm, elegant, and full of charm. Perfect for a special occasion. The food was exceptional, every dish was packed with flavour and beautifully presented, and the cocktails were just delicious (definitely worth coming back for!). It was such an amazing evening, everything felt thoughtful, relaxed, and so worthwhile. I honestly couldn’t recommend Walcott House enough, especially if you’re looking for somewhere that feels a little bit special.

Excellent food, beer and service for a family meal on a Good Friday evening. We booked a table with an hour's notice and we're given a fab spot. Bar staff were great, food was tremendous and we even enjoyed a game of Scrabble. Proper pub, friendly vibe, a real find on our visit to Bath and I'd recommend to anyone after proper food and proper beer in a welcoming environment...bravo :)

We had booked well in advance for the tasting menu only to be told on arrival that there was a new set menu in place. Some sort of contact would have been nice to let us know of this. However the new menu looked good , so we stayed. The food overall was very well presented and well cooked and enjoyable. We felt that the atmosphere in the small room was not very comfortable, the background music didn't suit the occasion and the waiter could have been a bit more efficient and smarter (baggy jeans! also ask how we would like our lamb cooked). For the type of restaurant that this aspires to be, we expected a little more. Would we recommend? Probably not.

Had the most amazing dining experience in The Elder enjoying a 7 course tasting menu accompanied with wine pairing. Vineesh was our server and explained each dish as he presented it to us alongside the wine. Each and every dish was very well presented and the flavours were just mouth watering. The ambience was perfect in the restaurant with subtle lighting and quirky decor. Will definitely return for this memorable dining experience.

Let’s jump straight in with this review for “The Elder” We will begin with the food, and then the service. We were first provided the famous bread and hunters tea. I must say the bread and butter were fantastic. Fresh and homemade. The hunters tea component was odd, tasting like a beef stock. One is meant to dip one’s bread into it. This was a nice gimmick, but after a few mouthfuls I decided to just stick to the butter. Onto the starter where I had the cheese tart. It was a nice creamy little thing. No complaints! For my main I had the venison haunch. Meat was beautiful and so was the accompany potato and spinach. The bone marrow however was not to my liking. Very salty. Thankfully this did not detract from the main event. The dessert was stunning and probably my favourite course. It was so good I forgot the name of it. It had coffee icecream in it that was to die for. Finally, onto the service, which was a fail. The waiter asked one of my accompanying guests which port of two choices he would like, but forgot to inform us that one option was out of stock (so why give us the option in the first place). Additionally are bill was calculated incorrectly, with only the drinks being billed.

A fantastic fine dining experience. We went there before it surely gets a michellin star. The flavours were so incredible and everything was super fresh. Would highly recommend for a special occasion, or those visiting Bath, or anyone really.

The staff at the Elder couldn’t have been more accommodating. I was organising a 60th birthday and we were tight for time. The team generously opened the dining area 30 mins earlier to accommodate our plans. Our waiter was attentive and very well informed with a welcome sense of humour. He gave us the full ‘theatre’ of the food and explained every dish well, but at no point did the experience feel fussy or intimidating as with some ‘fine dining’ experiences. For us, the food was (of course) delicious, but it was more about the experience. It was a very accessible entry point into fine dining, with down to earth staff and a high-but-fair price per head. The only thing I would flag for future diners is that wine was not included in the pph. This was likely my misunderstanding but an expensive mistake for a table of 14! 😂 Overall, wonderful food, lovely staff, and a thoroughly theatrical and enjoyable experience for foodies who love thoughtful, interesting food and are less enamoured with the pretentiousness and ‘fuss’ that normally comes with fiddly fine dining! We had an amazing experience at The Elder. We started off at the beautiful underground bar which was so cozy and private and a great addition to the evening. We then went for the 6 course tasting menu and the wine pairing. All of the food and wines were amazing. The staff were super friendly and the small cozy atmosphere made it all feel very personal. Would definitely recommend visiting!

There was a warm welcome from staff and we were seated promptly- other decor was gorgeous entirely within the age of the property. Our server introduced himself and proved very knowledgeable guiding us through the menu and wine list. He was also friendly and made you feel at home and not rushed. The food was absolutely amazing and the wine complimented it well. The only downside to the evening was an event on in another room but they walked through ours to the bathroom? Apart from that it was an experience not to be missed. Thank you everyone at the elder.

Ruth n I enjoyed a 34st Wedding Anniversary traditional Sunday Roast. The ambience, service and food was excellent. We arrived early without a booking and were greater by Alex who made us feel very welcome. Bella served us and was a joy. The kitchen n chief clearly take their love of serving local foods at their best very seriously. The restaurant filled as we enjoyed our last minute decision.

We visited before the theatre for a meal and some wine, and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, attentive, and efficient. We chose seats at the grill, which gave us a great view of the action and the impressive dishes being prepared. Our meal, scallops, sirloin, and the red mullet stew, was perfectly executed and absolutely delicious, complemented beautifully by a bottle of Primitivo. We’d highly recommend this spot to anyone in Bath looking for something a little more refined, with top-quality food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

My wife and I visited whilst in Bath for a few days and had a fantastic experience at Emberwood. The food was excellent, wine list was extensive (and exceptional value) the staff were super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere and restaurant itself was beautiful and attention to detail was excellent too. Overall a fantastic experience and amazing value. We’ve eaten in some incredible high end and Michelin starred restaurants and Emberwood definitely hit the mark. A must visit in Bath!

An incredible new restaurant to land in a city known for it independence and food spots. The food was packed full of flavour with every dish did not fail to disappoint even the vegetarian side portions that we ordered with our main meat meat quality was also beautiful and so well cooked. The stopper desert trolley was packed full of incredible patisserie which is a big fan to any foodie. The atmosphere in the team work at their utmost best to provide the perfect service for you whether it’s explaining the menu to folding your napkin whilst you popped to the bathroom every detail has been sort out along with the interiors matching the quality of service. Would recommend to any local.

My partner and I had such a lovely evening at Emberwood. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how beautifully designed the space is — it’s the perfect balance of classy and welcoming. The ambiance is warm and relaxed, yet still feels like a special occasion. We were lucky to have Lucy as our server, who was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive throughout the evening, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. What really stood out, though, was that the entire team made a genuine effort to make us feel welcome. From the warm greeting at the door to the little check-ins throughout the night, the service was seamless and heartfelt. We went for the sharing steak and it was honestly to die for. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and presented beautifully. It’s clear the kitchen takes a lot of pride in what they do. The sides and sauces were just as impressive, and everything paired so well together. And don’t even think about leaving without trying something from the dessert trolley — it’s a whole experience in itself! Beautifully curated, with a great selection of indulgent treats. We went for two different desserts and both were absolutely incredible. All in all, Emberwood really exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, impeccable service, and a genuinely lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family!

The food in Emberwood is excellent, we started with oysters, mushrooms and beef tartare which were all amazing, the only slight issue is the Tartare is very mustardy but still delicious. The evening was more than the food though, the atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent with perfect lighting, music and decor, the ambience is perfect. The wines were also excellent with a good choice of fine wines. We started the evening with cocktails at the bar which were both strong and full of flavour. To top it off the staff weee incredibly helpful, very friendly and couldn’t have been more welcoming. I’ll be visiting again soon.

I feel very conflicted writing this review as i was desperate for it to be great but unfortunately the food let it down on the night. The atmosphere, the bar and the service was impeccable we loved it. Food wise; We had the beef tartare but we couldn’t eat it it was far too salty mostly from the capers but felt like too much additional salt had been added and we couldn’t eat it. The crab was nice no complaints. The steak was good, it just wasn’t excellent and it was meant to come with a green chilli salsa but it had no spice or kick to it and was more of a parsley paste than anything. If it wasn’t for our server Imani the experience wouldn’t have been as nice, she was by far the nicest waitress we’ve come across really bubbly and personable. We would definitely come again and give it another chance, It was just maybe a really busy night and judging by other reviews a blip on this occasion.

As you would expect from the Ivy, it is very stylish, and the food is on point. The time I was there, I don't know if it was a change of shift, but the service was lacking. I ordered a chocolate bomb for dessert, but when it was brought out, it was left on the counter for someone to serve me and sat there for about 10 minutes. By then, the caramel sauce had cooled, so it didn't melt the chocolate when it was poured over the dessert. 🙄 Eventually, another one was brought out, but I waited 25 minutes for dessert.

I had a lovely dinner at The Ivy. The food was amazing, and the Chicken Milanese was cooked to perfection! We were served by Arthur, who was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Although we waited a little longer than expected for our starters, Scarlet, the manager, kindly brought us olives and almonds while we waited, which was a lovely touch. Everything was well managed — thank you! We’ll definitely be coming back.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Ivy in Bath. We started with a delicious crab appetizer and a flavorful duck salad, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken breast served in a rich truffle sauce and an outstanding steak in peppercorn sauce that simply melted in the mouth. For dessert, we indulged in an incredible treat — ice cream enclosed in a chocolate bomb with a silky chocolate mousse, beautifully melted by hot caramel sauce poured over the top. It was divine! The décor was stunning, the atmosphere was calm and elegant, making it the perfect place to celebrate special moments with loved ones. The service was excellent — attentive and professional without being intrusive. We highly recommend The Ivy and will definitely return on our next visit to Bath!

We had the Sunday Roast, Black Cod and Truffle & Parmesan Fries, and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and unpretentious everything was! Everything was also well priced considering the upscale look of the restaurant. Some servers were a little snooty, perhaps more noticeably since we’re Asian, but honestly it wasn’t the worst!

The service was very very slow and we asked for sparkling water 3 times before they remembered. The food was ok- but for the price, I expected more. The chocolate bomb dessert was a let down because the caramel sauce was at too hard of a stage and turned into rock very quickly. Everything was a bit underseasoned. The scallops were great but small.

We had the best time here thanks to the bartenders Jamie and Tony! All of our cocktails were incredible, and the service was very friendly. It was the perfect location for a lovely evening out with a great drink selection.

My friend and I had the most beautiful meal at the Ivy in Bath. We had tempura prawns, salt and pepper squid, shepherds pie and vegetable curry. Good Spanish food in Bath, very tasty and intensive taste. Restaurant space is a bit small, suitable for small group. Garlic prawn is nice. Clam is very fresh and well cook. Iberico ham is nice prepared and juicy. Bread and Churros is so delicous, recommended to try. Staff is warm welcome with good service.

Friendly staff and a super cute place! The patatas bravas, olives, pan, jamón & queso were all delicious. The zorza was a bit on the salty side for our taste, but overall a lovely experience.

Probably the best Tapas I've ever had in my life. All the ingredients are fresh and insanely good quality. The bread with garlic and tomato is so simple yet absolutely incredible. Can't recommend this place enough. If you are looking for Tapas or even just fantastic food in Bath then this is the place to go!

Been going here for years! Tonight was the best yet! Every single dish was done to perfection! From the freshly baked bread with garlic mayo, to the octopus, deep fried baby squid and tortilla, All was done superbly. I’ve owned a property in Spain for 27years- and this is the most authentic cool cozy hidden gem of a Tapas dive outside Spain itself! Trust me! Marcella is the consummate host! Brilliant dinner! Poppy and Marcella put on the most amazing meal, gorgeous food gorgeous wine! We have allergies and they were cool, calm but careful. We’ll be back.

We have been here twice now and returned as we enjoyed it so much on our first holiday to bath. Good food and Sangria would recommend. The only thing that was a slight negative was that the bread starter come with the mains and was heavy on the garlic. Our food come out super quick due to the restaurant being quiet which was fine just but just made for a bit of a short evening. Service was good and would return if we come back to Bath.

Had a very nice experience at Tagine Zhor when I went for dinner with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were on hand with recommendations if you weren't sure what to go for. It was a nice atmosphere, and there's a surprise shop downstairs!

We were looking for somewhere to eat to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this lovely restaurant did not disappoint! The service was impeccable. The gentleman was attentive, gave us suggestions on the menu but also gave us space and time to eat and talk without feeling rushed. And the food..... delicious! We had a mixed cold mezze starter and mixed filo pastry parcels. The mezze dips are a must... so many flavours and textures to start off a beautiful meal. I then opted for the beef and artichoke heart tagine while hubby went for the chicken shwarma. Portions were large, you certainly do not leave hungry. We finished off with the morrocon mint tea which was served in the traditional style adding a little more to the impeccable service and we were treated to a little baklava on the house which was very kind. The meal was all washed down with a bottle of morrocon red wine which we had never tried before and were not disappointed. All in all a fabulous meal, beautiful restaurant and the service was 5 star! This restaurant for me was honestly the highlight of my trip to Bath. The owner was friendly and funny and so kind. I wasn't sure what to get and he talked me through the meau and made suggestion basiced on what i liked. This place is incredible. Me and my partner visited Friday afternoon for a cocktail and end up staying for a quiet a few hours. The place and staff were so incredibly, we decided to visit again the night of our anniversary. Dont go there! We showed up as two families with young kids tired and hungry. The manager rudely refused us with plenty of space available in the outdoor seating, twice and rudely. When we asked for an explanation we were told there was no table for 8 while we could have easily accomodated on the outdoor benches. When asked for the manager again rudely said she is the manager and dismissed us in a bad manner. I do not expect to be treated like that by nobody even leas so by an arrogant young girl that doesn't know how to handle customers. Shocking behaviour by someone working in restaurants! Shocking! She should change job! Do not go there.

Lovely friendly atmosphere here. Really like how the place is laid out. We had a romantic little nook in the corner overlooking the restaurant. Its a great building and I love the use of the different spaces, it feels fresh and fun. We had an amazing server, dead friendly Scottish woman. She's really good at her job, makes you feel so at home and seems to be able to anticipate your every need/read your mind! But doesn't linger, can't really fault her to be honest and she made the night memorable and successful. We heard the live jazz which was nice although it did make everyone talk louder so it was a bit of a struggle on that front to talk! The food also doesn't come out all together which I'm not sure why. But, the food I had was delicious. I was surprised I could enjoy a pizza I've had many times before in a new and totally delicious way. Crispy thing crust, amazing complimentary flavours and I almost finished it all! We also ordered the baked feta with Rosemary and honey which was super moreish but very rich! My partner had a halloumi burger but unfortunately he wasn't very impressed with that. Super glad they had herbal teas as even though they aren't very "sexy" on the menu, it was the perfect way to end the evening. I did however find the website extremely confusing as to what and where was on offer. We weren't even sure which bit we'd booked and just hoped it was the live music bit, luckily it was.

We pre booked a party of 10 to celebrate my daughter’s recent 21st Birthday. Good atmosphere, music in background quiet enough to hear each other talk. Very bubbly friendly servers. Was told up front that pizza orders may take up to 45 mins due to a backlog so bear in mind when ordering starters etc. However, all orders arrived earlier & fortunately all at the same time.

What a lovely place. Live music to listen to, enjoy cocktails 🍸 and lovely food. We had the burgers which were delicious. We had to send back the chips as they were too salty, no problems they made another batch. Great service . Definitely worth a visit.

Had 20+ people for my retirement drinks. Great service all night especially given the size of the party. Food and drinks were excellent. We were outside in the undercover section, great atmosphere and warm with the heaters on. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely would highly recommend this place! The restaurant is stunning - don't let the exterior fool you, as it's gorgeous inside. The staff are lovely, and the food is truly amazing. Just a heads up for anyone with mobility issues: the steps down to the restaurant are quite steep. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish!

Booked a table for 2 at 5pm on bank holiday Monday and arrived at 4.30pm but had no problem getting a table. The service was fast and friendly with helpful staff, the food was great, we ordered the £55 meat platter. Well recommended

We had a delicious meal at Opa during our stay in Bath. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and you truly feel tucked away while enjoying your food. The staff went above and beyond during service and our food tasted delicious. We especially enjoyed the Meze to share. Please don't hesitate to book this lovely Greek restaurant while visiting the area.

Absolutely incredible food – we had the Feast Sharer, which was the perfect way to sample a wide range of dishes. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. A real treat for anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine. The team were incredibly friendly and welcoming – you could tell they genuinely cared about creating a great experience. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is the 40-minute wait to order, which only moved along once I called someone over. That said, once things got going, service was great. Despite the slow start, I would definitely return – the food and atmosphere more than made up for it!

We had such a lovely evening here celebrating our anniversary! The food was delicious and served as very generous portions. The staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived, in particular Louisa! It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay all night – great drinks, beautiful setting, and just a feel-good vibe. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion. We’ll definitely be coming back!

So worth the price! Steaks were juicy and fresh, so tasty. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Almost too big a portion and delicious. Service was super friendly and efficient! Highly recommend.

Walk in no booking, Reception was awkward as he was making out he had no tables available and found it hard to smile. However our waitress was fab 👌 and the food arrived quickly and was really good. I would advise booking so as not to upset the host!!

Just stunning, stunning service stunning food stunning everything, as always on it per our yearly/half yearly visit. This year we made a special occasion, my step daughter turned 12 and never gets the steak she requests in other restaurants, so why not bring her to our favourite, cooked with perfection as always, best steak she's ever had, thank you for always being on your game

Loved this place, food amazing and waitress even better i think her name was sara she kept us topped up and well informed, she was also very friendly and talkative when we wanted it. I couldn't fault her service all night she ran the upstairs of the restaurant single handedly all with a smile on her face.

The Hudson Steakhouse is a lovely restaurant in Bath. The steak was lovely and the chips are crispy! The staff are so kind and welcoming too.

Went for the weekday special. The food was very good and came quite quickly, with the meals arriving within 1 or 2 minutes at most. The quality was great, although slightly varied. I thought my steak was above average, while others stated it was the best they've ever had. The service was excellent, some of the best I've seen, especially when most of us were making use of the special offer. Highly recommend

Had an amazing meal at Thai Balcony in Bath. We went for the set menu (£36 per person) and it was excellent – loads of variety, really generous portions, and every dish was full of flavour. The curries were rich and aromatic, the stir-fry was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the starters were a great mix to share. The staff were really friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was lovely too – cosy, authentic, and a great spot for a nice evening meal. Overall, brilliant value for money and one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in the UK. Definitely recommend if you’re in Bath!

Thai Balcony is what you would expect for a restaurant in the centre of Bath. Their menu was extensive and we wanted to choose something a bit different. However, the staff member was rather unhelpful in recommendations so we ended up ordering typical dishes. In fairness, their pineapple friend rice is one of the better ones we’ve had so far. Tender prawns, crunchy peanuts, sweet pineapple and flavourful rice. The papaya salad could be spicier. A bigger disappointment was the Thai Green Curry - no spice whatsoever. We had two appetisers and two mains for ~£70. I won’t be coming back until staff can suggest more than what’s popular.

A lovely spot in Bath to enjoy Thai food with a gorgeous balcony view. Overall, the dishes were decent, though the chicken fresh spring rolls lacked flavour. Service could be more attentive—we waited around 15 minutes without anyone coming over until we asked. Still, the setting makes it a pleasant place for a relaxed meal.

Fabulous meal and experience here in July 25. A full restaurant on a Tuesday night is always a good sign. There was a wonderful atmosphere with all the team super helpful and friendly. I'm no connoisseur of Thai food but loved the depth in flavour and freshness of of the beautifully presented food. Well worth a visit if you're heading to Bath. Thanks to all the team we had a great meal.

Really enjoyable experience eating Thai on the balcony overlooking the square that had live music at the time- this being a busker playing a guitar. Had a set menu and it was delicious! Jasmin tea very good served with a large pot. Really tasty food and would 100% return!

Nice interior/decoration, full of flowers. I had Thai Garlic Hake, it was really tasty, and delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, crunchy outside, tender inside, with the perfect sauce. Because it's a Thai Restaurant, so I chose Thai Tea for the drink. It wasn't as good as expected. They have indoor seating, and outdoor seating. Toilet for customers is available.

We had the most wonderful experience at Giggling Squid for our anniversary. I’d noted in the booking that it was a special occasion and asked if we could be seated somewhere with great atmosphere — they went above and beyond. We were given a beautiful round table beneath a domed archway adorned with flowers. The whole room was stunning. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service throughout was exceptional. April, our server, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and warm without ever being intrusive. She really helped make the evening feel special. We were too full for dessert, but just before we left, the manager surprised us with a beautifully presented dessert plate with “Happy Anniversary” written on it. Such a thoughtful touch that made our night even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lovely atmosphere, incredible food, and genuinely excellent service.

This was our first visit to Giggling Squid and we loved it. My wife and I both have a gluten intolerance and there were loads of options to eat here. The allergens menu was online and being able to filter out allergens meant that we knew exactly which dishes we could eat. There was lots of choice for us to enjoy. All dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were knowledgable about dietary needs and all our food came labelled with ‘Non Gluten’ stickers which set us at ease. Thank you to everyone at Giggling Squid Bath for a wonderful experience.

I came in for mine and my partner’s anniversary dinner. The service was amazing, many checkbacks and we even had our water glasses refilled! The food was AMAZING, no faults whatsoever. To top it all off we had a complimentary dessert as a celebration. The name on top of the bill was Momay (I believe) so kudos to her and everyone else working.

It was our fist visit so we were excited to try out the food. Very pretty setting. The starter was lovely and we really enjoyed it, the main however (Penang curry) tasted a bit powdery and not at all authentic…..whilst I appreciate the restaurant is a chain, it was very disappointing. The waitress had no idea if or what Thai beer you do, consequent only 1 - Chang. The cost was £75 for a sharing starter, a curry each, one beer and a small sparkling water which I think is excessive. Sadly we won’t return.

Had the stir fry! The chilli one with beef. It was soooo good. Not so spicy but sooooo flavorful! I’m happy! The vegetable spring roll was nice and fresh!

We had a great time on our first trip to a Squid for my wife’s birthday in Bath. Food was fantastic however we weren’t given a full menu so didn’t get to see all of what was on offer. Also had to ask for water on a very hot day sat outside. Other than that the food we did have was excellent. Couldn’t fault it at all in that respect

When the weather permits, sitting outside is delightful. The wee square has a gorgeous, large tree for shade and the ambiance is serene. I was there on a random Thursday morning however so I can’t speak for weekend traffic. Also I discovered tea cakes = fruit toast. Delicious nonetheless, but if you were expecting 🍰 you’d potentially be disappointed

Yesterday I went to Bath and for lunch I decided to stop by the Bath Bun Cafe for some tea. It was honestly such a beautiful experience. The cafe itself has such a lovely, cosy aesthetic, and the vibes were incredible. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and despite how busy it was, they managed everything so efficiently with hardly any wait time. I was seated outside, and the view was just immaculate. Even the first floor of the cafe has such a charming atmosphere everything about it feels warm and inviting. I’ve actually been to this cafe once before, about three years ago, and it was just as amazing then, so I really wanted to relive that same experience. This time, I had a tea, scone, and baguette, and it was absolutely incredible. The service was just wonderful, especially the main lady there (I wish I remembered her name). She was so kind and attentive, always checking in and letting me know if there was any slight delay. Her friendliness really made the whole experience even more special. I really loved the energy, the food, and the people. It’s also very reasonably priced. I would highly, highly recommend Bath Bun Cafe to anyone visiting Bath. Try the Bath Bun, the scones, and enjoy the afternoon tea experience. It’s honestly such a gem of a place. If I lived in Bath, I think I’d be there almost every day!

Lovely place, you can either sit outside or inside in the second floor, the view and decoration are amazing. The staffs are cute and friendly too, good tea and food. Highly recommended for anyone who visiting Bath, you really have to try this once

Was a bit disappointed after we'd been recommended this tea room to visit for a classic cream tea. The scone was a lovely big scone, but it was a bit dry and the small amount of jam was served in a plastic tub on the plate which just seemed a tad cheap. There was a decent amount of cream supplied but the tea pot, instead of being a classic pot to match the cup was a tin one, along with the milk jug. It wasn't a bad experience of an English cream tea but far from one of the better. The staff were lovely and very friendly.

Service was friendly, but slow to deliver. The famous Bath bun was extremely disappointing… like having a burger bun with a cube of sugar inside. Happy to have tried it, but wouldn’t recommend it.

I had the strawberries and cream bath bun and it was lovely and sweet. The strawberries were juicy and the bun was fluffy! The tuna baguette was also delicious and the bread was crisp and not too hard.

A lovely sunny afternoon at the Bath Bun Tea Shoppe. Excellent customer service from two lovely South Africans. We had the Decadent Bath Bun which was sweet and chocolatey. I highly recommend anyone to spend an afternoon in Bath for a quick tea and sweet treat.

We had lunch at the Saracen's Head on 24/6/25. My husband got one of the specials, scotch eggs, our daughter enjoyed the mac and cheese, and I had a duck hash. All three dishes were excellent as were our assortment of beverages. Would visit again.

This pub was very convenient to our hotel, so we visited a few times during our stay in Bath. Lots of little rooms and seating options. My friend loved the Greene King mac and cheese.

Stopped here one night for an easy dinner during our stay in Bath. As far as Greene Kings go this one was clean, spacious and had a certain old timey charm to it. There was a comedy night going in a separate area of the pub during our meal which I’m happy to say was not overly loud and in no way affected our experience. The food was good, very acceptable for a chain pub, it was a warm meal, decently priced, good portion sizes and left us both fairly satisfied. My only complaint would be that the cod was a little tough but again, not the end of the world considering everything I mentioned before. What really stood out during our evening was the service which was top notch. I didn’t catch the chap’s name who served us however he a youngish gentleman with a ponytail and a mighty beard. His charisma and quick wit alongside his enthusiasm towards his job kept me and my fiancée smiling and laughing throughout our visit.

Saw this was the oldest pub in Bath. Went in for a couple of pints and some lunch. We met the manager Dale who was so nice. Tried some hand pulled ales that were great. Ordered food and had a nice chat with another couple eating there. We would highly recommend this pub. Food and the atmosphere was lovely. The seasoned fries are delicious!!!

Great restaurant, the atmosphere is excellent and the staff are attentive and welcoming. The food was top notch, I had the duck and the other halve had hake, perfection. My only criticism and even though they were cooked well, is that the boiled potatoes and broccoli were slightly disappointing. I would highly recommend woods to friends/family.

Walked in on a Saturday and got a table for 2. Staff were excellent, service was quick, food was tasty, portions were just right - everything a really good restaurant should be. It was authentic with a good menu choice. Prices were reasonable - £100 for 2 courses with alcohol and coffee. Well done Woods

The best restaurants in central Bath! Perfect atmosphere, food and service. Cook to perfection 🤤 and definitely value of money compare to any Michelin star restaurant with even better quality! Main course, dessert, coffee etc all-around great 💯 Over 40 years history for reasons. Definitely will come back again and again!

Even though I only had a starter, I have to give a 5 star to this restaurant!! I planned my trip in Bath and reserved this spot far ahead. However, I fell sick right on the day and had little appetite. The restaurant was really understanding and they made me feel welcomed regardless. Was sad that their fish soup was out but their tomato soup was also delicious and made me feel better. There is also complimentary bread and butter. Don't know if I will be back in Bath in the future, but if I do, I will definitely give them another try.

We visited Woods to celebrate my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. The atmosphere was great and they handled our large table of 16ppl with ease. The food was delicious. The owners were present all evening and all the team were friendly and efficient. Would recommend for any special occasion

Place has a lot of potential but it needs to get its act together and higher more staff or get more competent ones. Food was delicious but everything else really took away from the experience. Ages waiting for our table, ages waiting for the food, asked for additional drinks waiter forget and had to follow up, eventually showed up when had finished the food, then had to go back down stairs to pay which was another 15 minutes.

My husband and I loved eating at The Salamander. It was very quiet and had great food options. We loved the fish & chips. We made a reservation for a late lunch early dinner at 4:30pm, also there were no other options other than 4:30pm, but the entire time we were there no one else came up to eat, so I believe walk-ins would be relatively easy. The service was great too.

Came for a drink and a snack around 16:00, so the place was pretty much empty. Bartender was extremely nice and confirmed the kitchen was open! Got ciders and our first ever fish and chips (in England). Delicious! Delicious, and no judgment from staff for sharing (we're light eaters). Great pub near the Roman baths, definitely recommend.

What a “Great British Pub”. Gareth made us feel at home from the moment we walked in the door. Great tap beer and reasonable wine choices. The Salamander has great pub food with a twist and very generous in size (all meals are available in small or large sizes👌🏻). We sat on the top floor and enjoyed our experience immensely.

Wow I think this was one of the best roast beef dinners I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. My friend had the lamb and I had the beef with extra gravy so good you could drink (see pic). Me and my friend visited Bath and we were originally going to have a roast Sunday lunch in another pub which we couldn’t find after desperately looking for it for ages so on a whim went to this place and I’m so glad we did, but I’ll be honest when I first walked in I wondered if I’d made a mistake with my choice. The place seemed a little dark and very quiet. I was worried it wasn’t going to be very good and I’ll be disappointed but I wasn’t and I will definitely visit again next time I go to Bath. Good music too, like a Brit pop vibe.

First visit here, Had a lovely Stans Big Apple cider, they also had a Sandfords Deven Red cider. Nice little boozer. Free wi-fi As it says on the front "A great British pub"

The bartender was so very lovely to start with. The pub had a beautiful decor and a calm energy to it. The sunflowers added rather positively to the whole experience.

The best afternoon tea I have ever had! I’m not sure what the other reviews are talking about, but the scones were hot and fresh. The sandwiches were excellent, and the pastries were sublime. The service was very fast, and the servers were extremely kind. It was also only £29.50 per person, making it very affordable as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for afternoon tea in Bath.

We booked Mr Darcy’s afternoon tea during Jane Austen Festival. Definitely a special experience, the staff were friendly and helpful, the cafe was very elegant with periods music as a background. Tasty sandwiches and scones as well as a nice selection of good quality teas.

I was really excited for this experience, but in the end I left feeling like it was alright but nothing special. We arrived 15 minutes early to our reservstion and asked staff if it was okay to head into the tea room which they agreed to and encouraged, but when we entered the staff inside told us the table wouldn't be ready until exact time of the reservation and we should go back downstairs to wait. Unfortunately, the stairwell gets very crowded due to the layout of the building so it was difficult to go up and down the stairs. If there was an area to wait upstairs or if staff didn't encourage us to go up early, I think the experience would have started off better. The afternoon tea itself took a very long time to come out despite it being a set menu that we booked in advance. I enjoyed the charming little timer to let you know when to pour your tea, and the tea itself was good. The finger sandwiches were standard. The scones were served warm, and the plain scone was delicious! Unfortunately, the fruit scone was the opposite: hard, dry, and tasted as if it had been sitting out for a long time. All the pastries on top were okay, but nothing was particularly special. I was hoping for nice theming of tea sets or desserts at the Regency Tea Room, but in the end it just is an okay afternoon tea that could be found elsewhere. Overall, I still enjoyed my time, but I am not sure if I would come back to the tea room even if I visit the centre again.

The Regency Tea Room was absolutely exquisite! The tea was excellent, the food was delectable, and the service was impeccable. The cozy, nostalgic atmosphere made it such a charming spot for afternoon tea. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend for a perfect afternoon tea experience!

Food was great, but also small orders are very filling! I do recommend booking the food in advance to have a broader selection. Great selection of teas. So kind and patient with everything. Trying to accommodate what they can while they are usually fully booked and have limited capacity but that has no influence on their service. I hope they are met with the same kindness they show customers as it.

Afternoon tea was nice. However they forgot our order and we got tea 40 mins after we arrived. And food 50 minutes after we arrived. Scones were great but sandwiches were ok

Absolutely delicious pastries, especially the pistachio croissant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, overall a very good experience. However, falls just short of five stars due to the high prices of pastries and sandwiches, still can’t justify paying 6 pounds for a croissant.

Honestly the best cinnamon bun I have ever had! Absolutely incredible cafe, we went twice in 24 hours. It’s lovely you can see them making next door in the bakery. Also a lovely different selection of pastries with slightly different flavours. It does get a bit tight sitting down if it gets busy downstairs, we didn’t go upstairs.

We came two days in a row and both times were blown away! The pastries are really high quality and the bread is some of the best I have had, plus there is a great selection of products to purchase in store. Loved to hear that they mill their own flour and I’m looking forward to baking with it at home. Raspberry Bakewell and pistachio cornetto were my personal favorites but honestly everything was delicious and my family kept ordering more to try. Drinks were also really good! The staff was lovely and very accommodating. Can’t wait to be back

Delicious, daily made baked goods that will make it difficult to stop at just one. We stayed in Bath for 5 days and quickly became regulars at Landrace. They now serve pizza in the evenings and it was delicious as well. Highly recommend if you want fresh, delicious baked goods, exceptional coffee, pizza and service.

Alright hear me now, not so long ago I went to Bath to explore and although I didn’t find too many foodie gems over there that I was interested in exploring it did find this place. Welcome to Landrace bakery, and just like any independent bakery timing is everything because they only have a certain amount of certain baked goods. I went there on a quest to try their cinnamon buns but on arrival I was evidently too late. However since we were there so I decided to broaden my horizon in relation to baked goods. They didn’t have plain croissant so I went for a pistachio cream filled one which wasn’t as sweet as I wanted it to be but had more of a grounded flavour to it, it was very flakey and made really well but i could’ve done without the filling. I also got something I’ve never tried before which was called a Greengage Bakewell, my thought process was “it had fruits on it so surely it couldn’t be too bad”. No aspects of this was too sweet it was really quite subtle with a mixture of tartness from some of the fruits a bit of creaminess from the clotted creams and some hints of sharpness from some of the other fruits. I wouldn’t get it again but it wasn’t terrible. I ended it off with a blueberry milkshake which was weirdly refreshing not at all what I would consider a milkshake to be but it was very light not too milky and the blueberries really came three I actually liked that quite a lot but my problem with it, was it was very small. Overall I’ll give it a 6.7/10

Yeah, love this place. A Guardian journalist genuinely tried to interview me in the queue as he was writing an article on people who travel hours to go to the best bakeries in the country, and wanted to know if it applied to me... That should tell you how good it is! Obviously would recommend, great options for sweet and savoury and if you can grab a bench in the sun outside it's a great way to start a morning.
