This was a magical afternoon thanks to Skyline Rooftop Bar! We walked in and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Venice!! Jahid made our experience one of a kind with amazing and fast service. Even teaching us some Italian lingo. Can’t wait to be back! 10/10 recommend!!

Nice rooftop bar, the main section has a great view over the city of Venice and the back part has a direct view of the sunset. The section overlooking the city has 10 tables next to the edge and can be in demand as you would expect. Staff were warm and welcoming upon arrival l. Drinks are well mixed and taste good, a little on the pricey side compared to places on the main island but to be expected for the view you get. We went for three drinks from the signature cocktail list, Sernissima Glow, Blushing Dawn and Crimson Flame. All three drinks were €23 each and came with a little snack of popcorn for the table. I would recommend this bar especially around twilight time just before sunset so you can see the sun falling over the city. Thing to note would be that if you’re visiting this bar and are not a guest at the hotel you will need to get a boat to the island. This is not so much an issue during the day as the hotel has a stop right next to the reception door and boats are quite frequent on the Alilaguna line which we caught from the Zattere stop across the way and took a couple of minutes however we noticed that once it went dark this was not the case. We spoke to a couple outside and they said they had been waiting over an hour to go across near Zattere. We decided to go to Giudecca Palanca public line stop which is a 10 minute walk but we were able to jump straight on the number 2 line boat that took us across to Zaccaria stop near St. Marks Square. Just something to be aware of if you go, check the public transport timetables.

Came here for a birthday, all the staff were so friendly and attentive. They gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco, and the Aperols were also really good. They gave us a choice of sitting facing the sunset or the city, we went for the sunset view. Would defo recommend!

The Sky Bar at the Hilton Molino Stucky is a beautiful spot with one of the best views of Venice. The hotel itself is elegant and thoughtfully decorated, and while it’s a bit out of the way from the main island, it’s a lovely option for guests staying at the hotel or anyone looking for a different vantage point of the city. The view from the terrace is incredible, offering a sweeping look across the water toward the main island. The staff were attentive, friendly, and eager to make sure every drink was exactly how we wanted it. The cocktails were well crafted and beautifully presented. That said, the prices are definitely on the high side, even for a hotel bar. We each had only one drink, and it felt a bit steep for what it was. Still, if you don’t mind paying a premium for the setting, the view alone makes it worth visiting at least once for a sunset drink.

We came for a drink after dinner and were so pleasantly surprised, this rooftop bar has an incredible view over Venice and amazing cocktails. I loved the 1530 sky, a super refreshing tequila and grapefruit drink. I love a good Paloma but this drink took the cake, it was on another level. It does have egg white, but the bar also offers a vegan alternative. This was the best cocktail I had in Venice. Come to find out, it’s the bars custom drink. Worth the trip to the island for the vibes and laid back atmosphere, we didn’t have to wait or fight to get in compared to the high tourism traffic in san Marco. A hidden gem that I recommend way more than Harry’s Bellini (which did not compare despite the hype). Thanks for a great night and wonderful time.

We finally got to visit the iconic Harry’s Bar. It had a rough beginning as the maître d’ was rude and snooty. The food was remarkable. The service started out well but quickly faded. Harry’s is over-the-top expensive. $30US for a tiny, watery Bloody Mary. $25US for an itsy bitsy Bellini. We enjoyed our expertly prepared meals. But never again.

The iconic Harry's bar is a great little bar. We booked our reservation as we were a group of 8. I think it's a good idea to book ahead as it fills up quickly. Be mindful there is a dress code, no shorts for men. Nice Jeans are ok. Their famous Bellini is really good! And the food was delicious 😋. We enjoyed the veal chop and ravioli, it truly one of the best we've had! A little pricey but you have to enjoy it once. We were here on October 2025 and with drinks and the 10 euro cover charge it came to about 200 euro per couple. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A large selection of wines and cocktails. Enjoy! We did!

An institution in Venice. I came here for an Aperitivo and had the renowned Bellini (22 euros) and a coffee (5 euros). It is a rather small bar, so you may not be lucky to get seated. Also, there is a dress code in the evening - shorts are not allowed.

Harry’s Bar in Venice has a nice atmosphere and a classic charm, but overall, it’s nothing extraordinary. The food was okay — tasty but served in rather small portions, and the prices are definitely on the higher side for what you get. The staff, however, were very friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the place was great. It’s worth visiting once for the experience, but I wouldn’t call it a must-try spot in Venice.

A true Venetian classic! Harry’s Bar is everything you hope it will be — elegant, timeless, and full of history. We stopped in for the full experience, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. This is a restaurant that’s very traditional and upscale and holds a lot of history but you need to be aware that this does come with a price. We were warmly greeted and asked if we preferred upstairs or downstairs, we chose up as it seemed crowded downstairs. We were walked past the bar and the kitchen and were invited to walk up some spiral stairs while the hostess took a different speeder route where she then met us at the top. After being seated in a room full of New York images and natural light from outside we were given menus but before we could order we were asked if we wanted a Bellini. Due to its history it was obvious that’s the main go to. Ultimately we ordered 4 Bellini’s (they are really small) two club sandwiches and water for the table, this order cost €182 The Bellini’s are very good but expensive for the size €22 each. The sandwich was fine but nothing amazing. Ultimately however If you are interested in a bit of history then I would recommend if your budget stretches to it but I wouldn’t say it was a must do in the city and you can fine good Bellini’s and better food else where for a more affordable price.

My family was catching their breath so I decided to wander around Venice and upon Vino Vero and loved it! Unassuming wine bar with a great vibe. Seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals enjoying happy hour. Everyone gathered out front, on the bridge over the canal, even on boats. And it's an area with plenty of great restaurants.

A perfect little wine bar 🍷 with an original selection — from several crisp dry whites to cider and vermouth. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with people sitting by the canal or even on their boats. What we loved most is that it’s far from the city rush, so it never feels overcrowded. A relaxed hidden gem where you can slow down and enjoy the evening 🌙

Visiting Venice, this is definitely a recommendation. After walking for a long time we settled down at Vino Vero which offered a great combination of delightful small bites and amazing wines. The staff was very kind and knew a lot about the wines, which they let us taste beforehand. If going to Venice you must visit Vino Vero for the complete Venetian experience.

wandering through the northern side of the city quiet, charming, and surprisingly tourist-free. My friend had one mission: a wine shop she just had to visit (she knows her wine). Me? I was just the hungry sidekick tagging along… because if there’s food, I’m there. And honestly? Totally worth the walk. She was pointing at bottles left and right, thrilled at her finds I’ll need to ask her for the actual reviews because I was too distracted. Why? Because CICHETTI. For 3 euros each! 🫠 I definitely over-ordered… guilty as charged. But do I regret it? Not at all. Every bite was worth it. . Good taste in music playing in the background, Indie, Alternative Rock… and yes, “Everlong” by Foo Fighters. Perfection. And here’s the thing, if you ask the barista what’s best, they’ll just smirk and say, “everything.” And you know what? Believe them. If you can, just order them all. Highly recommend.

The variety of Cicchetti is awesome and the different mix of flavors is unique. The staff is friendly and nothing beats the peace of having a cup of wine on the canal directly.. must visit for a drink abd cicchetti if in Venice 👩‍❤️‍👨

I went to Vino Vero several times two years ago and once again this past September. In my experience, two years ago it was a better spot. The cicchetti tasted better and the wines by the glass were more reasonably priced. It is still a lively hang out and I met some fun new people, but it is not the same for me.

This place is the best cocktail bar I have ever been to and I have been to a couple around the world. Amazing staff and INCREDIBLE drinks. The staff here is all amazing and so kind. We came here two nights we loved it so much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Stellar experience and definite recommendation for all drinks/cocktail lovers. Besides the amazing cocktails and unique combinations, I appreciated so much how the team made sure to take care of me because I am currently pregnant. After I mentioned that I only go for 0,0% alcohol options, they were a 100% understanding, created a special drink for me (which was amazing), double-checking that it suited my needs. Many other bars/restaurants unfortunately don‘t really care, I was so glad to make a different experience here. Will definitely come back!

A wonderful spot with real character and atmosphere! The cocktail menu is creative and full of surprises: you can tell it’s made with passion. We especially loved the Ash & Nuts and Cucumber and Fake Rose, both unique and beautifully balanced. Huge thanks to Raul, who was incredibly kind, attentive and explained everything perfectly.

Can not suggest a better cocktail bar in Venice than this one. We seated outdoor by choice. It was a good vibe. The staff kept us informed of how busy Saturday night could be. And made excellent suggestion for cocktails to our liking. Would recommend for a drink or more.

Wine, Cicchetti, and Atmosphere to Savour - Right on the canal, this spot serves a great range of excellent-value wines by the glass. The cicchetti were a fantastic bonus for us (see photos): tuna with horseradish, lardo with honey and chocolate, smoked salmon with mascarpone. My late mother would have loved it here — sipping her wine, soaking up the atmosphere, and quietly working out the relationships of the folks around her. They are all clear about what is not on offer.

Whao, Whao, Whao! I’d seen this on “Somebody feed Phil” and was keen to try it whilst I was in Venice. Believe me - for lunch this is perfect. It’s a bit off the beaten track and if you go around lunch time be prepared to wait, but the wait’s so worth it. They serve cicchetti, little tapas like bites but don’t let any Venetian hear you call them tapas! They serve every mixture you can imagine. Lots of fish and cheeses involved. My personal favourite was the Gorgonzola and pear. Great for a lunch. We had 9 with water for about €17 I could have had a glass of wine for €1.50. Traditional Venetian fare that’s worth seeking out. If like like food you’ll love here.

An excellent choice for cicchetti! I came at lunchtime and had 8 cicchetti (including tuna with cacao, which was delicious) and a glass of wine. There are no seats to sit down, but there is plenty of space to stand and have your cicchetti and wine (or coffee, if you prefer). Very reasonably priced.

Delicious fish sandwiches, I fell in love🤤. There are very big choice of sandwiches - not only with fish. Prices are really good (1.6 eur for sandwich (24.09.25). Staff are pleasant and helpful, they know English. I'm glad that I found this place. Venice is outstanding!

Cicchetti was good but this place gets crazy busy. Honestly crazy trying to order here. If you speak Italian you probably have a significantly easier time but if you are a tourist - this can interesting to navigate.

Great place to get a really nice drink and hide away from the crowds. The cocktail ingredients were so fresh and it was exactly what I needed. I did have to battle a pigeon (he did get away with a few hazelnuts from another table) but it is to be expected in this city. Also, this is mostly a bar with a few snacks, not the place to go if you are starving!

Located on the Grand Canal in the Gritti Palace Hotel, this bar is a great place to relax and enjoy the views before dinner or after a day of touring. The drinks are expensive but well worth the price as the service and views are top notch. Plus the bar snacks brought to the table compliment the beverages well. The occasional surprise canapes were delicious and welcomed.

The view is beautiful but the drinks are extremely expensive and godawful. This place served me the worst old fashioned I have ever had, and it cost like $30. It's bourbon and sugar, how do you mess that up? We actually felt sick the next day. Aviation cocktail wasn't much better. There are much better bars with a view, skip this place.

Breathtaking views of the grand canal! Getting the best seat in Venice to see all the hustle and bustle of boats and gondolas cruising by! The drinks were perfect and a perfect relaxing experience from a long days walking around Venice. Try to make a reservation at Bar Longhi to enjoy the sunset!

Nice waterfront terrace offering one of the best views in Venice. It is not cheap but worth the money with beautiful ambience and the stunning view. Great place for grabbing pre-dinner drinks.

We spent almost all our mornings at AI Prosecco during our stay and it is just the best place, to enjoy some sandwiches and drinks. The waiters are very warm and friendly and we’ll definitely come back next year.

Just had a fantastic lunch here at Al Prosecco. The Panini were delicious, the Aperol Spritz was one of the best I've had in Venice and the service was fantastic. It's in the corner of a beautiful Campo and the view is stellar, including the church, a community garden and a large, well kept Campo. Prices are a bit high but it is well worth the trip.

Set in a courtyard. In one of the many palazzo's in Venezia. Service 2nd to none. It's always nice when the entire staff helps out & not just one individual. Started with a gl of prosecco. Then a gl of Montepulcino rosso with a formaggio plate. La dolce vita.

We became regulars of this place and met some of the most amazing people! If you're looking for a fun bar to check out, you have to go here! Music is awesome and the staff is out of this world! Five minutes in, and I love this place. Music is great, bar has a definite vibe. The servers are friendly and attentive. I ordered in my poor Italian, and the bartender immediately switched to English. He was warm and gracious about it. I ordered pint of beer with a Jack Daniels neat. He poured it generously. See attached photo. About to ask for a menu, and will update with food rating. UPDATE: food is also amazing. I had the Alfredo Funghi (mushrooms). It was delicious.

Went here on 3 separate occasions during our trip! After dinner drinks were AMAZING, and we did a snack one day. We had the mussels and they were INCREDIBLE. Full of flavor and so incredibly fresh! I tried several drinks and from the New York sour to the BB cocktail with gin Aperol citrus and Prosecco everything was to die for. I was hesitant going somewhere so close to the Rialto, but we will be returning next and every trip to Venice! To our server who I unfortunately did not catch the name of with black hair and the brightest smile thank you for an amazing time! she remembered us every time and was so kind each time we came in! Great place to meet people and enjoy the amazing music video atmosphere!

Saw this place on social media and we were really curious. It was even better than our expectations! The vibes were amazing with really good music, original and incredibly fun decor and the best cocktails!

We walked past this bar in the street and popped in thinking it would be a jazz bar. We were pleasantly surprised by the smiles and friendliness of the bartenders and the rock music. Prices are fair considering the cocktails are very generously poured, our jaws dropped watching them being made. You get your moneys worth here and the plus is the good vibes so we decided to come back a second time for our last night in Venice! :) We can’t comment on food as we did not order any

Nice place to go for a drink and to have fun. Unfortunately there's no place to dance. Usually crowded, but great climate. I haven't tried anything to eat, but there is a lot of drinks to taste 😁

Literally had the most fun here just now. Met so many people from so many places - Basque Country, Cuba, Canada, Australia, Albania. It’s just a collection of fun people looking to have a fun time. While other places around Venice were closed they were open. Staff was friendly and not over-bearing. Would highly suggest if you are looking for a bar experience. Prices were no more than a fancy place. The Club Calloway was very tasty as was the Sangria. 10/10 would go again.

The waiter’s were a bit stressed, and were not quite attentive, however they were very nice and accommodating once their attention turned to us. The starters and sides were very good, everything with aubergine was great! I had the rabbit, which was slightly overcooked, but still good. The ossobucco was not great, but also not too bad. Especially if you have vegetarian/vegan people in your group. All in all decent experience!

A lovely restaurant in the middle of Venice main island. This restaurant was recommended by a my friend who lives there and he dine there often. This restaurant offers not traditional Italian cuisine and there are excellent alternatives choice in Venice. I stayed in Venice for one week this time. Even though I love seafood, I was getting tired of similar menus. The food was very tasty and maybe bigger portions for a restaurant in the island. Waiters are friendly and kind. Small problem for us was the reservation time. The restaurant has two shifts for evening reservations: at 19:30 or 21:30. Both times were not really standard dinning times for dinner in Italy. Fair prices.

La Zucca is a fantastic spot in Venice—especially if you’re vegetarian, but honestly everything on the menu is delicious. The vegetarian options are creative and flavorful (we loved the lasagna and pesto!), though the duck was also outstanding. Great wine, great food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere made for a perfect evening. The service was friendly and attentive, and we loved sitting right on the canal in such a beautiful location. The restaurant is small and traditional + very popular, with only a few tables, so it’s definitely required to make a reservation! It’s very popular for good reason. Highly recommend!

The service from the waiters was very unpleasant. We didn't ask for much, just had a question whether the bread was vegan, and the waitress was acting rude. Another thing that is very weird, they don't have an English menu (which is fine, but it seems that most of the costumers are tourists..). Instead, we were given a page with translations from Italian to English? Like kind of a dictionary? I think that it is an odd thing to do. When we asked the waitress to give out a recommendation and translate what's written, she did it very unwillingly. Whenever we tried to call the waiters they usually ignored us (and I saw it happening to other tables as well). The food was fine, I ordered pasta with gorgonzola, which could've been great if it was served hot. It was a bit cold but I didn't want to tell the waiters because of the attitude we were already given. The only reason we didn't leave was that we were in a hurry to go somewhere else and had to eat somewhere. The other dishes were good but not spectacular as expected.

Deceptively spacious, with both a long interior corridor with tables and a terrace area close to a canal. Food was overall good, service was normal. I like my soup/cream. Not overly expensive

This was one of our best eating experiences in Venice. The food is so fresh and delicious, all real and homemade, and lovely to see such a creative inventive menu. We came on a busy day and had to wait for quite a while before anyone came to take our order but it was well worth it. The waiters were sweet and kind, and very interesting to talk to. The zucchini lasagna was particularly soft and lucious, and the many vegetable side dishes were delightful and rich in flavor. Really fantastic for vegetarians!! We also had a desert each and both were amazing. We felt so nourished, both in the belly and in the heart by this lovely genuine place. It is a real gem and one we look forward to returning to many times.

Phenomenal spot for dinner. Each plate is not only beautifully prepared but has a great taste to it. The wine pairings really accentuates each dish’s flavors and kudos to the staff for finding some good bottles to connect the food with. This dinner and the ambience inside is a great date night, dinner while visiting Venice as tourists or anything else in between. All will love it.

Had the tasting menu here - all good to excellent but lacked a certain something. I’m not sure Italian cooking overly suited to small plates to be honest. Worth a try. €65 euros for 3 courses and dessert. Ok value I suppose.

We opted for the tasting menu, which opened with an amuse that was elegantly plated. A standout pasta course featured handmade noodles with local seafood, the sauce: briny, slightly sweet, with just enough depth to coat without overwhelming. The pasta was al dente perfection, with a silkiness that carried the flavors of the sea. Vegetables were treated with equal reverence: a layered dish of seasonal produce showcased acidity and crunch. Even the simplest elements felt intentional, from the interplay of oils and herbs to the way acidity lifted each bite. The wine program is serious here, with a curated list of natural wines. The staff guided us toward pairings that were spot-on, crisp whites highlighting seafood salinity, mineral-driven pours elevating the vegetal notes. The service staff was knowledgeable. Lunch at Estro was memorable, refined, and deeply satisfying. Highly recommended.

A restaurant with an impressive selection of wine. The food was good - above average. I had the poached egg with porcini and cheese foam which I adored. The egg was slightly under-done. The Russian salad with crab was good, if a little bit too smothered in mayonnaise, and the monk fish was a little overcooked.

We liked this place. Extensive and quality wine list. Food was good but uneven. Some items were next level amazing and some were just ok. It was always creative and high quality ingredients though. Space is small and charming.

I booked a table and mortgaged my credit card online. But when I walked into the restaurant, they repeatedly confirmed whether I had a reservation or not. When I sat down, no one greeted me and gave me the menu. Most of the dishes were not explained, especially desserts. I can't believe they brought me cookies from the supermarket and said "from their mom's kitchen?" A restaurant with no advantages.

We booked the ristorante and a ten course menu with pairing. Was nothing short of amazing! Very nice setting, super friendly staff, who explained us everything in detail and were super keen to answer any questions. Really appreciated that, especially because the restaurant was busy. Food was like poetry and the concept is great too. Makes you wonder how we can reduce food waste and live more sustainable. Highly recommend this experience!

I proposed to my girlfriend in the vineyard here and the staff were so amazing and gracious. We did the private boat with 10 course lunch. Absolutely stunning, beautiful wines and then a drink at the outdoor bistro afterwards. This is a special place and we’ll be back. Thank you

We came back after 6 years to celebrate, and we were amazed by what cheffe Pavan and chef Brutto have done to the menù. Their approach to cuisine is remarkable and they crafted amazing dishes leveraging invasive species and avoiding waste. Amazing. Highlight for us were the cappelletti, which tasted like Xiao lon bao and the blue crab, star of the show.

Wonderfully unique wines and amazing staff, this place is an absolute gem. From the amazing story to the sustainable and community driven aspects of the winery, I couldn't have more respect for for this amazing place and all the people who contribute. I feel absolutely privileged to even try their wines much less step foot on these grounds.

I truly enjoyed this experience. I booked to include the boat ride to the restaurant. The boat was late and no one could reach the restaurant so I thought communication could have been improved on that. I booked the chef's table as I thought I would get more interaction with the chefs, but there was almost no interaction. I was the only person sitting up there, as no one else booked that experience. I felt a little awkward but that is of no fault to the restaurant. I just wanted someone to talk to, as I went alone. I did get to see some of the behind scenes of plating the dishes, but that was the only perk of booking that particular experience. I honestly would've preferred to sit alone at my own table. This is a sustainable Michelin restaurant, so some of the dishes were... unique. Most of them were delicious but there were a few that were not my taste whatsoever. I thought the beverage pairing was pretty good. They mixed different drinks in there - not just wine - and also had a mocktail. I did have another tasting menu experience in Venice that was cheaper and better, but less courses. Overall it was an interesting experience and one I would recommend for a one-time try. I thought the price was reasonable enough for the number of courses and beverage pairings.

Incredible gastronomic experience on the island of Mazzorbo, just outside Venice. Not our first Michelin-starred restaurant, but definitely one of the most memorable. We went all in with the 10-course tasting menu and wine pairing and honestly, if I could give 6 out of 5, I would. From the moment we arrived through the garden, the tone was set. They grow their own vegetables, fish their own seafood, everything is local, seasonal, and treated with real creativity. The theme was fish, and it was beautifully carried throughout the entire menu. We started with refreshing cocktails, then dove into a series of plates that surprised and delighted us. It was technically 10 courses, but we were served more than that, without ever feeling overwhelmed. Each plate was small, perfectly portioned, and full of nuance. The first entrée was stunning, both in presentation and taste. It featured raw shellfish served in beautiful open shells, with vibrant touches of yellow, blue, and green that reminded us of Murano glass. It was like being served a piece of art. One of my personal favourites was a dish built around sweet peas so fresh, delicate, and beautifully executed. And a cucumber-based dessert that totally blew my mind: light, surprising, and incredibly flavourful. One of the most original desserts I’ve ever had. The sourdough bread and kefir butter deserve their own paragraph. That butter had the texture of frosting (minus the sugar), and it was so good I almost cried when they took it away. If I’d been braver, I would’ve asked for a doggy bag to bring the leftovers home. The wine pairings were just as thoughtful, ten drinks, but with great balance. At least three were non-alcoholic (kombuchas or other creative options), which added variety without overwhelming us. And yes, our 15-year-old was with us and tasted everything. He loved it all. We were seated right in front of the kitchen, which gave us a view of the calm precision of the team plating each dish. The timing of the whole evening was flawless, despite the fact that everyone arrived around the same time and not everyone had the same menu. I don’t know how they pulled it off, but it was seamless. Yes, it’s a pricey meal. But for us, this was the kind of evening you remember for years… absolutely worth it.

We found out about the restaurant after seeing Chef Pavan several times on Masterchef Italia. We went to the Osteria. We got the tasting menu and a wine pairing (we also added a Spaghettone al Granchio Blu). All of the dishes were delicious, with a wide range of flavours that were all perfectly balanced. The use of km0 ingredients, and ingredients that are often discarded, or are invasive species, makes for a special meal. The wines were all very good, two of them were their own production, and all exalted the dish they were accompanying. Looking forward to returning and trying the restaurant as well.

We were told by the hotel that the bar was on the 19th floor, but once there we were redirected to the 17th. The 17th floor was both a restaurant and a bar, which was confusing. The drink selection was very limited, and most of the options we asked for were unavailable. Before we could even finish our questions, the staff member walked away to serve someone else. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, disrespectful, and disappointing.

A nice rooftop bar in Mestre just outside Venice, views are nice at night and cocktails were delicious. My only criticism is the flashing lights I presume they use to keep the building visible can become very irritating Staff were lovely and providing exceptional service

Extremely slow service (10mins to pour 2 glasses of wine), and the Prosecco servings were very small for 7 euro. Nice view though.

We went on a quiet weeknight and it was nice to appreciate the effort of cleanliness, professionalism and attentiveness that the cocktail bar provided. The staff were polite and knowledgeable, security were nice and helpful and the cocktails themselves were exquisite. The views from the main bar and the rooftop were spectacular and breathtaking. A sight to behold and appreciate. Highly recommend. Prices are spot on for the quality of drinks. Chairs were comfy and spaced about nicely, easy directions to get to near other bars, restaurants and hotels.

4.5 if i had that choice. Great view, great vibe and everyone speaks english if that is helpful to you. Drinks take a while to arrive and don't arrive at the same time. Drinks are very nice and staff also. Seating arrangement could be better to take full advantage of the amazing views. Overall I would say well worth a visit. Prices of drink are also very fair considering the general vibe of the bar.

Arrived on a Sunday evening around 7pm, fairly empty as the bar had just opened for the night. Place was small and very warm, humid and smelled like the Japanese restaurant one floor below since it appears to have an open ceiling. Decided to leave without ordering as I wasn’t willing to spend 15 euro on a cocktail and drink it in a bad environment. Might be good once the smell is gone and heat from restaurant dissipates. Therefore this review is for the atmosphere/vibe only.

I ordered squid ink pasta. It was better than any squid ink pasta I had in Venice. 😋 The staff were friendly and kind! Tiramisu is a new sensation！

A classic Venetian osteria that lives up to its well-earned reputation. Tucked away near Strada Nuova, it offers an atmosphere that’s both cozy and steeped in local charm. Their legendary meatballs (polpette) are an absolute standout—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful within, with just the right balance of meat and seasoning. Simple, rustic, and incredibly satisfying, they’re worth the visit alone. The rest of the menu continues to impress, with fresh, well-executed dishes like the tagliolini with crab and cherry tomatoes, which brings a burst of briny sweetness balanced by fragrant herbs and silky pasta. Ca’ d’Oro alla Vedova delivers authentic Venetian flavors with heart and tradition—perfect for anyone seeking a true taste of the city.

My friend Beth visited this restaurant recently and told me that she was extremely disappointed with the service. When the Seafood Dish came out to her table, it had no more than one prawn. There should've been at least half a dozen or more for the price she paid. There was nothing authentic about this Italian meal. The Spaghetti and the tomato sauce was bland and tasteless. It cost about €15, baguette bread was charged. Half a carif of wine was charged which came to the total of approximately €30 which is almost $60 in Australian dollars. No balsamic Vinegar was available on request. The price was ridiculously expensive, especially for the price of this dish that was supposed to have chilli 🌶 in it.

The prices are cheap and the food is mediocre. The owner however is quite rude and ruins the entire experience. Italian hospitality is now part of Italian culture, and this restaurant puts Italy to shame. I hope David learns that “good food” does not mean you can be bad towards the people that pay for your food.

A really cool place run by a team that go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It doesn’t matter where you come from, they just want you to enjoy your TIME with them and make the most of it! I had their world class Negroni which has a bit of a unique twist; my wife had the mango cocktail. Both of them truly delicious! Don’t waste your TIME on other places just go to TIME!! Thanks guys

Trendy little bar with a great vibe and one of the best playlists we heard in Venice — a perfect mix of indie and rock tracks that kept the place alive. The signature cocktails had fun, tech-inspired names, though the flavors were just okay. Still, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and the fact that it stays open until around 2 a.m. when almost everywhere else is closed make it a spot worth remembering.

She was so genuine, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the drinks. We really liked her. After we tried a couple of drinks from the menu, she made us a really yummy Bramble. So glad we visited.

Nice cafe with a lot of history. It’s had a lot of famous guests through its doors and has been in continuous operation since 1720’s. Our experience was a pleasant one, we decided to sit outside due to the good weather conditions and the live music that was playing and managed to get a view of St.Marks Square from our table. Thing to note is that you do have to pay a charge for siting outside while the music is playing of €7 per person. I feel this is a little steep as a small family that is seeking to attend could end up paying nearly €30 before they have even ordered anything. We ordered two cocktails at €24 and €25 each along with a cappuccino which cost €12 and the waiter brought complimentary crisps and water for the table. This added with the €14 music charge resulted in a total of €75. A little expensive for what we had but with the atmosphere and location the cost of the drinks can be expected. We were served quickly and after our order was taken it arrived about 10 minutes later. When we arrived there were only about 2-3 tables available so it was somewhat crowded. We ventured inside to where the small rooms were located to have a look around and view the little shop which sold snacks and merchandise. The decor of the interior is very impressive and has managed to keep its charm from its beginnings it seems. If you’re after a couple of drinks while in the Square I would recommend however if you’re not directly in the area there are other places that will offer a similar experience at half the price.

Yes the atmosphere is nice, yes the location is good and music amazing. But I still think that the prices are too high for that. Also it would be good to say in advance that during summer they have other kind of tiramisu and not the classic one. Generally it was good, but not worth 42€ for one drink and dessert. You can just sit nearby and still listen the same music for free.

A must when you go to Venice! It is a 7 euro cover charge per person for the music. But worth it for the vibes at least just one time ahha the Apple tart was the best pastry I’ve ever tried! And I just got some tea to go along with it. The music was nice and the cafe was beautiful. It was like 65 euros for 2 teas and a pastry so make sure you come knowing that this will be the most expensive cup of coffee or tea you’ll ever have. Haha

When in Venice, might as well sit at their square and enjoy the live music and drinks- their Prosecco was best. The evening musicians do have their varieties, and take requests where possible for discretionary 20 euros. Seeing they had clarinet, violin, piano and bass, I requested for Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin but sadly this was not possible. Still enjoyed listening to many of their music. Went back on our last day during daytime, did not disappoint.

Came here to experience one of the oldest coffeehouses in the world, operating since 1720. We sat inside, where there’s a cover charge of €7 per person. There’s a live orchestra playing outside, and although we could hear a little of the music from our seats inside, we couldn’t really see them perform. The drinks are on the steeper side — I ordered an €16 cold coffee cream (Frozen Florian) and was surprised to see it was about the size of my palm. Nevertheless, it’s worth visiting this café at least once in your life for the experience, though I probably wouldn’t come back a second time.

At the side of the canal with a nice view and a small park just in front. My favorite stop for far for local food and great drinks. Good value for the money! For €10 you will have two o three small local bocadillos and a lovely well prepare aperol spritz Usually has a queue but deserve the time

Great little spot for a drink. Lots of locals come here as well as visitors/ tourists. This bar is located right across from a gondola repair shop. We came on a Sunday so it was closed but if you come during the week during the season there's always work being done on some gondolas and it's supposed to be a really neat thing to see.

Great spot to grab a drink and/or panini. The service was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating even though I don’t speak Italian! I was served a delicious “original” Spritz - not Aperol! The bartender recommend I try what she called the “original” (I forget if she gave it another name, sorry!). Very refreshing and a lovely view while enjoying your drink & quick bite. (Also they have a clean restroom for customers.)

Delicious cicchetti and an excellent Aperol Spritz. It’s often busy inside, but you can sit outside on the steps. When you take your food outside, they’ll warn you to watch out for seagulls – which really amused me. It’s not an empty warning; they truly lurk around, ready to snatch your meal if they get the chance. The food was excellent in taste and perfect for a light lunch or snack. As a bonus, there’s a lovely view of the boatyard. Highly recommended for a quick, tasty stop.

Very good. Simple, effective flavours, no fuss yet delicious. Not too pricey too, and mostly locals The tuna with caramelised onions in particular was well liked by the both of us So good we immediately went back to get the tuna again, and the salted cod Salted cod was mild and creamy

Delicious food!! Long line but it moves quite fast and the service is super friendly. It was quite hot inside so I recommend taking your food to the park across the canal.

Bacareto da Lele is such a gem, hidden just off the Grand Canal near San Pantalon. We’ve been coming here every single time we’re in Venice for the past ten years, and somehow Lele is still as full of energy and as young as ever! His mini sandwiches are hands-down the best in Venice, the wine is always delicious, and the prices are crazy cheap. I totally recommend stopping by early in the morning—it’s the perfect way to soak up the vibe of this amazing little place. Once you try it, you’ll want to come back every time!

Delicious and affordable in a cute little square! We asked for an 8 piece 'surpresa' which included cheese, meat, and fish bites.

They only sell small sandwiches, some of the fotos are bot from here. Authentic Venetian. Sandwiches are very delicious, BUT the stuff! Be prepared for having just something but not you have been told. I did get some sandwiches, but not what I was told. The sold my sweet muskat wine instead of Pinot Grito, that I wanted and asked. As if I can't distinguish between sweet and dry wine! I don't like to be fooled. However food was good, with a taste of deception.

For me it was disappointing. Still half an hour of program, a lot of people come and go but the blinders were closed even if the waiter was inside. No food no drink This was good for me though because I had the opportunity to find my own place to have an excellent Aperol Spritz, the next day Campari Spritz, the next day .... and it was better.

This is the best quality to price place in Venice for cheap but delicious small sandwiches and wines. We tried cheese and spinach and variety of meat sandwiches, all of which satisfied us. If you need a quick pit stop for food and drinks, this is an ideal spot.

10/10 would recommend food, drinks and vibes. They have a variety of small sandwiches and spritz like many other places in Venice, it was ideal to tour around having different varieties. Prices were great, and contrary to judgement by first look, they take card. In case you don't believe me, I went twice in the day, in the morning it was quite empty and chill, closer to the evening it was quite packed.

Nice atmosphere but not extraordinary (as we expected). The food was definitely not worth the price (from a taste point of view). The one thing we both enjoyed and was really good (as taste & presentation), was the tiramisu (dessert). Furthermore the service was slow (although very kind and smiling). We kind of got tired of waiting for them getting the empty plates, etc. The bread selection (&olive oil) was very abundant though. We were getting new without ever asking for it. In sum we paid a bit less than 400 euros but had far better and tastier dinner at other places with 100- 200.

A wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Terrazza Danieli. My partner and I dined at this lovely restaurant during our week in Venice. We had a leisurely dinner which took about 2.5hrs from start to finish. Every staff member was extremely attentive and informative. The restaurant itself has spectacular views any time of day. But we preferred our evening setting with the lights of the city below. The food itself is exceptional. The red prawn appetizer was delectable. However the stars of the evening were the scallops and the pastas. Truly crave-able and delicious. We are usually light eaters but availed ourselves of all the restaurant had to offer. We will visit every time we are back in Venice.

Fabulous views over the Grand Canal. The service was good, they have an excellent sommelier. We intended to have the tasting menu but we didn't like the choices so chose from the a la carte. The food was beautifully presented but the desserts didn't taste as good as they looked. With a bottle of wine and one round of drinks our bill for 4 people was 785 euros. I recommend it for a special occasion.

The main appeal of La Danielle is its location — no doubt one of the best views of the Grand Canal in Venice. Unfortunately, the experience was far from enjoyable. The terrace has plants that attract wasps, and we ended up eating surrounded by them the entire time. It was so unpleasant that we skipped dessert and coffee just to leave earlier. As for the food, it was fine but nothing remarkable, especially considering the inflated prices (which can partly be expected in Venice, but still felt excessive for the quality). Overall, the view might justify the stop for some, but I can easily understand why others would prefer to spend the same amount elsewhere for a better meal and a more comfortable

The most exceptional and technically executed meal I have experienced in Venice. The Veal medallion had many layers of surprise to it. Phenomenal meal. A special thanks to Fab who took excellent care of me.

Highlight of our trip We were thoroughly impressed with our dinner experience last night. From the moment we arrived, everything exuded elegance—from the ambiance to the attentive staff. Each dish was delightfully presented, showcasing both creativity and precision, and the flavours were just as exquisite as the plating. We had the red prawn carpaccio with crème frâiche, caviar which was exceptional. Squid ink ravioli with scorpionfish as well as the chanterelle with goats cheese risotto. Although the outside terrace was closed due to the weather, the team went above and beyond to ensure our evening was nothing short of extraordinary. The service was warm, seamless, and genuinely thoughtful. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is so carefully considered. We’ll absolutely be returning.

Beware of the seagulls here! What should have been the most amazing final night in Venice was unfortunately a let down for us. After seeing seagulls swoop down on 2 others tables and take their bread, my partner was the unfortunate victim of one seagull defecating on him - this place needs a falcon or parasols - or both. The staff really let themselves down here. They never once asked us if we were OK or offered to clean or move our table, and when you're spend €550 on a meal for two, I expect better. A lovely american girl had a Tide pen in her purse which she generously offered and we were very grateful for. The location, views and food were beautiful, however this venue needs to take some tips from the nearby St Regis who have a falcon to keep the local seagull pests in check.

Love this restaurant. Booked for lunch, was seated outdoors in a quiet and breezy alley. Food was spectacular, seafood was so fresh. Loved their glasswares too! Highly recommend and do book in advance.

An excellent restaurant in Venice, recommended to me by a local. I’m glad I’d made a reservation to dine here. The food was delicious and the environment delightful. I had cuttlefish with polenta, a glass of wine and tiramisu for dessert. I also shared an antipasto - a selection of fish/seafood.

Awesome lunch spot with affordable wines by the glass to enjoy. Fried seafood platter was very delicious you can tell the quality of seafood used. Also highly recommend getting the crab pasta the flavours were on point!

Went on a recommendation from a friend. Very nice, tucked out of the way on a quiet alley. I had high expectations. Not sure about the Michelin rating, I expected a bit more attentive service only because of that, but I am spoiled in that sense. Food was very good. They sent reminders of my reservation several times. Interior was nicely done. This is a small restaurant, you would need a reservation.

One of the classic Trattorie in Venice, mentioned in many guides and highly recommended. Pictures of celebrities on the walls (Woody Allen, Lionel Messi and so on) but none of the pictures are from recently. Fun fact: „ Carampane“ used to be the prostitutes you could find around here when this part of town was the red light district. Have a good look at the logo of the Trattoria and you will notice the reference. They serve only sea food, daily dishes dependent on what’s available at the Mercato Rialto nearby. We had the mixed sea food salad for starters, then the fried mixed seafood and the monkfish (that was a daily dishes). The kids had spaghetti with tomato sauce at 18 EUR (!) per dish not much else for kids. Quality was ok, the monkfish was dry though and some of the fried fish had an odd soapy taste. Service was friendly but not warm. The Interieur is classy, clean and you feel the history of the place.

Came for dinner and it was delicious. We received a welcome fried ball that was delicious. We ordered the grilled octopus (very good), fried shrimp and calamari (the wasabi mayo was yum), and a pasta dish in crab sauce. The restaurant is cozy. Highly recommend.

Huge disappointment. Pretty presentation, but bland food, cold service, and when I dared say the swordfish in the pasta was dry, the manager (I think?) was just offended and told me it was made that morning and everyone likes it. The pasta itself was not particularly flavorful, nor was the sauce. The frito misto my husband ordered was fine but nothing incredible, and way overpriced for what it was at 35 €. Red wine by the glass selection was very low quality and served way too warm! Room temperature wine in August at this type of restaurant?? The glass of local Venitian white Tai was very nice, as was the foccacia. This place was recommended by Conde Nast Traveller, and has pictures of a few famous people on the walls, but seems to have become a tourist trap! We’ve had a great number of amazing meals in Venice with incredible service, but this was all the opposite.

We booked a table for lunch a couple of months before our trip to Venice. The food here is amazing. Delicious and fresh. You can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Tuna tataki was wonderful as were all of our mains. It's a small place which is why it's booked out well in advance. If you like your seafood, then definitely come here. It's not cheap but it's worth it.

We were recommended Osteria alle Testiere by friends who visit often, and it was the highlight of our trip to Venice & Verona. The food was outstanding and the hospitality from Luca and his team was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch trying lots of local seafood (including oysters, clams, scallops, fish, pasta alongside exceptional veg) with excellent wine, followed by a tiramisu and coffee. Their menu changes daily based on the best ingredients available and so they say that because of this, all of their dishes are recommended - we’d have to agree! This is a gem of a restaurant. To ensure you don’t miss out, we’d highly recommend booking well in advance due to the small restaurant size.

Osteria alle Testiere has quickly become our favorite restaurant in Venice. For pescatarians like us, it's truly the best place you could visit in this magical city. The restaurant is small and cozy, so reservations are a must. You're greeted by a wonderful team that makes you feel so welcome. The quality of the food and the attention to detail in every dish is outstanding. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, with the menu based on the daily catch and vegetables from their own garden. The dessert selection is also superb and we'll definitely be back!

Absolute cracking restaurant. For me one of the best - if not THE BEST in Venice 2 Months later and we are here again ! As always a really great experience. Oyster from the lagoon- small but soooo good. Best spaghetti vongole that I had EVER. We will come back every time when we visit Venice. Reservation absolutely necessary

Very intimate and sophisticated restaurant, yet the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Every thing we had was well balanced with amazing distinct flavors. It's a great way to enjoy authentic venetian meals.

This restaurant is simple but exquisite. Had a recommendation from a friend and booked way ahead (literally 3 months ahead!) as we’d heard such good things and didn’t want to be disappointed for our one night in Venice. The restaurant is incredibly compact, probs max 10 tables, which gives a charming and attentive atmosphere, matched by the utterly wonderful staff. Many people tried to get a table by walking in, but were turned away, so we definitely felt very lucky indeed to have reserved in advance. As an apologetically English speaking tourist, it was lovely that the restaurant was full of a mix of both locals and international guests. The waiters were equally kind and attentive to all clientele (sometimes I feel like you can get a raw deal/ cold shoulder as a tourist…but not in this place). The atmosphere was very relaxed and incredibly pleasant. The menu is perfect: a good range, but not overwhelming, with a carefully selected range of fresh seafood and seasonal dishes. We had scallops (insane!), mussels, tuna ravioli, and turbot. Everything was exceptionally seasoned and well presented. The attention to detail in the sauces was particularly note worthy. We finished with a tiramisu (criminal not to) which we both agreed was the best we’d ever eaten. To be honest my only regret is that we couldn’t just order the whole menu: looking at other guests’ meals/tables it seemed that every dish would have been divine. The only tiny area for improvement might be a more extensive alcohol-free drinks list. The wine list was extensive but for non-drinkers there were just a couple of choices. That defo isn’t anything to cry about, though; bottom line is this restaurant is fabulous and provides a relaxed, authentically Italian experience. Make a reservation now, and tell your friends…(or maybe don’t, cos then it’ll get too busy…)

Super funny, friendly and entertaining waiters! Also very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable about their craft! They made me a whole beautiful vegan pasta dish off the menu, that was superb! My non vegan companions were also very happy :) thanks for the delicious meal in a warm and homey space! You can tell they cook with love, passion and knowledge. It was a pleasure to watch the experts at their craft

This is a top of the list must go to place in Venice. The Cicchete is the best I have ever had. The choice is magnificent if you can hang on until 11-00 am. The staff are all really friendly and helpful with choices of both food and drink. I would be here every day if I lived close enough

I loved this little spot! What I observed today was magical: passionate people about what they do and how they do it. A couple of folks came in too (looked like the staff knew them) and one of the guys made them something special. I thought it was such an incredible gesture! We went there twice in one day because there was no other place like this when it comes to food, ambiance and people.

Expect queues and prices on the higher end of the spectrum, but it's worth the hype in my view. The cichetti were spectacular, particularly the salted cod fish. Service was also friendly and quick.

Happening by chance across Bar All’Arco is one my fondest memories of my trip to Venice. The staff were so friendly and helpful to explain each of their dishes, guiding a journey of what to try next, and each bite that was prepared for me was delightful! An unforgettable dining experience, with delicious food and lunch wine. Thank you, Bar All’Arco, and if I am travelling anywhere close by you, I’ll be visiting again!

An absolute must-visit in Venice and one of the few bacari that truly lives up to its reputation. We arrived early, around 10 a.m., to avoid the queue — by noon, the line was already forming outside. The place is tiny, loud in the best possible way, and filled with locals grabbing quick bites before work. We ordered prosecco with several cicchetti — the veal spleen sandwich and the tuna meatball slider were both amazing, rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned. Everything was fresh, generous, and made right in front of you. The bill came to around €35, which felt fair given the quality and atmosphere. We even passed by again later in the day, tempted to go for another round, but by then it was packed. One of those rare places that feels authentic, unpretentious, and completely unforgettable

Spectacular! A must go when in Venice. Excellent food. Great prosecco. Outstanding service and courtesy. Make sure you come here before 2pm as it only open in the morning till lunch.

Believe the hype and positive reviews, get there early to avoid the crowds. Ciccettis were exceptional, order one of everything and enjoy.

Stopped in for some quick ciicchetti appetizers and a glass of wine. Prices were high and glasses were tiny. Most tables were already reserved for people coming in later for dinner. They let us sit for 20 minutes and have a snack. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Unfortunately, we had to leave quickly. And cash only.

Conflicted reviews on Google. High overall reviews but also had low marks reviews. Decided to give it a try anyway. First entree, pesce misto was good. Not overly salted or breaded, but that was it. The pasta dishes and octopus dish were all disappointing. It lacked flavor and aroma. Ended up going for pizzas as we didn't finish what ordered. This establishment also charges a sitting fee of 2.50 euros per person if dining in. I don't regret going there but it was honestly a waste of money.

Good food and friendly staff, feels more local than touristy which was nice. The wines were very good, and the waitress let us try 2 different wines before deciding on one. Good place for a small bite to eat, or a big meal.

Wonderful small charming resturant in the heart of Venice. This place is great if you want authentic Venetian food for a decent price. Service was good good and the atmosphere was relaxed and tells a story of the decades that the resturant has been operating. Will highly recommend this place and don't forget to grab a desert when you are there 😁

Fab little bar down a backstreet near the Rialto Had a few seafood cicchetti- the scallops were wonderful- plus at least a few spritzes and good red wine - the drinks were great value. Full meals were available in the restaurant at the back but we sat outside in the alleyway- a great vibe with locals and visitors alike. Raffaello behind the bar was lovely and friendly and good fun! Good ambient playlist too - enjoyable but not intrusive. Shame we only got there the once! Hopefully return someday.

Good food and service for dinner. Glad we were able to check it out after watching it on an old Anthony Bordain episode. Stands the test of time! Cozy and warm atmosphere inside although they also offer outdoor seating if available. One of our pasta dishes was a little too salty for my taste but the raw seafood and seafood in general was amazing, especially the calamari. Be sure to ask for the specials and what they may be out of before you decide what you want to order. We made reservations about 6 to 8 weeks ahead to ensure our reservation. Solid Venetian cuisine!

We did not have reservations here, but they quickly set a table for us outside. The service was excellent and the food outstanding! We had the specials, starting with the gnocchi with baby squid - it melted in your mouth. Our main dishes, the tuna stacked with eggplant and a local fish, both beautifully presented and equally delicious. We ended with some dessert wines and a grappa semifredo. It was strong but also very good. Highly recommend Al Covo for a fantastic dinner!

I made a reservation here in September and enjoyed my experience overall. I ordered a peach bellini, which I typically don't order, but it sounded really refreshing on a warm day. It came with fresh peaches in the glass which was a delicious touch. They brought over a small bite from the chef that was an egg salad sandwiched in between bread. It was good but not great. I ordered the rock crab that came with a small serving of sauce on the side and it was delicious. With that being said, there were quite a few shell pieces left in the crab meat. If there was only a couple, I wouldn't say anything, but there was a considerable amount. For the main course I ordered the octopus gnocchi. The gnocchi was tender, but the flavors didn't seem to go together very well. The service and atmosphere were decent. Overall, it was a good experience, but I'm not sure that I would return to try something else.

Just eaten at Al Covo. We had a fantastic meal. Delightful location not far from St Marks Square. A good choice of food, especially if you like fish. I opted for sole and my wife chose a beautiful pasta dish. A great choice of wine from the local regions. Topped off with a cheesecake to die for. The recommendations for Al Covo are well deserved

Lived up to the recommendations! The food is soo fresh and creative, I enjoyed all of it! I booked this a two weeks in advance and could only get a lunch time so book early! I had the beetroot ravioli - it was perfect summer lunch dish. It was fresh with the poppy seeds and light. I also got the hummus with local vegetables, also good, I was surprised the vegetables were still hot but good nonetheless

Fresh and delicious restaurant with good service. Everything was delicious! We ordered the delicious crudo appetizer and 3 different pasta dishes. Black ink, prawn, and mussels. They served us snails in garlic and parsley as an amuse bouche. It was tender, so clean tasting, and delicious. At the end, we had to order another mussels pasta. It was that good! I recommend to make reservations. There’s an 8Euro charge per person for sit down in the restaurant. That’s the only downside.

This restaurant honestly was one of the best we’ve ever visited - excellent, very traditional Venetian style food with an emphasis on locally sourced seafood - top ingredients beautifully presented with a touch of old fashioned decadence. The sommelier was outstanding and even offered to change a bottle of bubbly even though we had already drunk from it. Features in one of Anthony Bourdaine’s food shows - very rightly so. Absolutely loved it.

This place was recommended to me by a Venezian friend. Apparently, it’s very well-known and well-liked among the locals. We came here for a light lunch. I had a selection of cicchetti, along with a glass of wine. There is a very good selection of wines and their prices are more than reasonable. They also serve sandwiches. There are very few stools (both inside and outside) but we were lucky to find a place to sit and enjoy our lunch. We paid 20 euros per person.

The place is small, quant and humble. If I owned this place I would put a board out advertising “oldest wine bar in Venice”. But they don’t. They serve their delicious bites of food and reasonably priced and well selected wine in this absolutely charming place. Be warned though large bunches of food tours will visit, sample and move through while you’re there.

I visited Cantina Do Mori last week and received excellent service and really liked the space. The wine selection was good, but the cicchetti were a bit hit or miss.

Well…this review is hard. The place, the history, the atmosphere is 5 stars or more! Now the food it is actually less than 4. We arrived at 14:15, not that off from lunch time. They serve us cold everything, even the meat balls. The cheese was great, but the rest, honestly not very impressed. And we were five, this is not only my opinion. The wine was very good, red and wine, both. The server was efficient and quick, maybe not the friendliest, but again, considering the place and being only one running the whole shop it makes sense.

I had the experience of tasting cicchetti in other places in Venice, but this one was not as good as what we had in other places. Although there were some tastes that we didn't find in other places, but still the bread was not as fresh and crispy as it could be. We also ordered meat ball and Botchetta radicchio which both were so delicious.

A very charming bar with an exceptionally friendly owner. The Cigetti are lovingly and excellently prepared, accompanied by excellent wine and Prosecco. A place where you immediately feel at home – highly recommended!

We ate there twice because the food is really amazing. All the small sandwiches are delicious, the bread is warm and soft inside and crunchy outside. The small tapas is absolutely amazing with the codfish. The owner is very very friendly, you can not miss it!!!

Cicchetti were absolutely delicious, and the place itself is absolutely lovely in a more quiet location, which is a pleasant break from all the touristy places. There was a good selection of meat cicchetti, which we struggle to get in other places and they were toasted before being served to us which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend

Can’t comment on the food as we only came here for Aperol spritz which were great. I think we paid under €5 per drinks. It was late at night but still busy. We also bought a bottle of Prosecco to take home.

Great food, fun atmosphere but not loud, large portions. Slight hiccup in beginning as we ordered starters but main meal arrived first. Kind apology with tasting of new offering, starters then arrived. Finished out with a new twist for us with their Rice Pudding. Would definitely return.

We needed a break from Italian food and came across this delightful restaurant. Had the shish touk with couscous and ravioli with eggplant. The food was delicious and excellently prepared. Shish touk was tender and flavorful and the couscous was lovely. Service was great.

This was one of the BEST places my husband and I ate at during our trip around Italy! We absolutely LOVED IT!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and if you’re vegan, then I would say DONT skip this place.

There are times in your life where you might take a wrong turn or sit in the wrong seat, and it works out for the better… like, completely changes your day. This was one of those choices; we were supposed to go to Orient Express… another 10 minutes walk. After we sat here, got a beer and ordered food, we realized that we hadn’t made it to our intended destination. The food was a God send. A chilly, windy and rainy evening in Venice, and this place was just what we needed to get that enjoyment feeling back. Highly recommend!! And great for vegan!!

I loved this restaurant so much that my wife told me that I was not allowed to tell people that of all the places we’ve eaten in Italy over the last two weeks, this was my favorite.

Homemade style food. You get options of 2, 3 or 5 in the menu. We got mantu with chickpeas, beef stew, beef biryani, fried vegetables with yogurt, falafel, kufta, lemon chicken, chicken in cream, all tasty. Biryani seemed like it is leftover from yesterday. Mostly a good sample of Afghani cuisine. A worth try.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting a craft beer bar in Venice but was very happy to find out there is actually one. Il Santo Bevitore offers good selection, the best selection of beers in Venice, the atmosphere is of a typical pub and the service is very friendly. We got really drunk there 🤗

Fantastic pub in a beautiful, quieter area of Venice. Service was excellent; bartender provided information on the beers and suggested some of his favorites. They have a large selection of Italian and European drafts, plus liquor and snacks. Excellent outdoor seating area beside a canal.

Nice selection of beers and friendly bartender. Some of the local beers werent the most interesting but we ordered a Belgian ale and AC IPA which was very nice. In retrospect we should have sat outside since it was a bit noisy in the bar.

Are you joking, seriously, I've been to many good boozers but how is it an Italian bar in Venice tops the list. 24 pumps, a fridge, full complement of spirits, cicchetti, low level blues, beautiful view, not too busy (when I'm here at least) it's perfect. And I don't say this lightly, perfect.

Sometimes you just want a great beer. Not a glass of good wine or a delicious Spritz, but a good, reliable but new, beer. This is the type of place to go for that. They have many local beers on tap, but also some reliable German ones.

This is a lovely little bar located by the canal. We came here on an Italian Bank Holiday and it was packed with locals and tourists enjoying a drink. We had the Aperol Spirts and sat by the canal on a pleasant evening, and they were reasonably priced.

Very lovely place to try a few appetizers on your first night. Scenery was nice, appetizers were great and drinks even better. Staff was very friendly. Be wary of the seagulls. They don’t mess around.

Stepping in to Osreria Ai Pugni makes you feel like a cool kid. Hip, intimate and full of locals, this is one of my most favorite memories of Venice. We went for wine and cicchetti before dinner. Wine list is thoughtful and beyond affordable. $5 dollar glasses that you know were selected with care. The bartender was incredibly helpful she helped me pick out the perfect glass. I highly recommend the mozzarella pizzaiola. It’s fried cheese stuffed with tomato confit that isn’t greasy at all. As an American who loves cheese sticks I was blown away. Our other cicchetti selections were also fresh and delicious. Wish we could have snagged a table by the canal but they were all occupied. We hung out at the little bar by the window and watched people hang out or walk by. We tried going back our second night in Venice but they were closed, hopefully for vacation because the Wine Goddesses of Osteria Ai Pugni deserve it. Grazie Millie.

Stopped off here for a light lunch as saw it recommended on YouTube, worth taking the break to stop off here, all theses little rolls are excellent, also had a small salmon thing with black mozzarella, you can also have a front row seat looking at the Ponte Dei Pugni, bridge known for first fights in past and also used as a filming location in Indiana Jones

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience this is perfect. It will be full of locals and the food is amazing. Menu changes daily written on paper. Options will run out over the day so get there early. Lovely staff. Tasty food. And very reasonably priced. My favourite spot in Venice.

Amazing pasta and wine, lovely atmosphere. Simple stripped back menu, changes each day, made fresh. Exactly what you should be looking for in Venice. Avoid the tourist traps serving frozen rubbish, come here and treat yourself and eat like a local.

This was one of our first stops for coffee and a biscuit/pastry on our trip to Italy. I got a flaky warm crostini pastry that had a custard inside, a plain croissant and some other biscuits. It was all very tasty and went down well with a cappuccino. It was so good, we came back the next day! The place is busy but the service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Venice!

Delicious pastries and almost all without seed oils. The only pastries that had seed oils were the fried ones; however, there was just one type on the counter. The rest of them were clean, and the ones we tried were delicious.

Outstanding baked goods and really great coffee. The place is tiny, and it's constantly packed - locals come in, grab a couple things, drink a fast coffee, and they leave. I think we were the only ones staying there for a bit in the bar, and that wasn't even 20 minutes! So, this is not a place to sit down, but if you want a fantastic baked good and coffee, this is definitely a place to try. My advice - get their strudel, it is simply out of this world. Fantastic quality, fair prices, and really nice staff.

A place I love to visit. First of all, their baked goods are absolutely fantastic. Not only do they taste great, but they are also well made and look really beautiful. Everything I tried was excellent. The service is also top-notch. I am always welcomed and served with a smile. The people are very knowledgeable and helpful, and are always willing to advise on the choice of sweets. On top of that, the cleanliness and aesthetics of the pastry shop make you want to come back there. AMAZING COFFEE !!!

I am sorry to give only one star but they use to make this amazing caramel, almonds and other sweet ingredients but today I got 500gr and I did not see that the caramel was all burned and when I got home and tried I realized the taste was mainly burned! So upsetting

We stopped by El Sbarlefo planning to grab a quick bite to go but the welcoming atmosphere made us stay and sit. The Aperol Spritz was perfect. Definitely try the anchovies, a true flavor explosion in your mouth. A cozy spot with friendly service that makes you want to linger.

We stumbled upon this bar while walking near St. Mark’s Cathedral and loved it so much we came back the next day. The drinks and cicchetti were excellent, and we were really impressed by how hardworking the staff were, constantly mixing drinks and keeping the whole place running smoothly.

A great bar right next to St. Mark’s Square! We stopped by late in the evening, and although it was quite busy, we managed to find a spot at the bar and started with some Aperol Spritz and cicchetti. After a while, we were joined by a lovely couple from Ireland (sending our warm greetings!). During our conversation, we ordered a glass of red wine, and shortly after, the staff surprised us with another round of complimentary cicchetti — such a thoughtful gesture! Thank you for the wonderful experience — we definitely recommend this bar!

We got 3 cicchetti and an aperol spritz, all for €16. It was a little pricey given that this bar is located right next to San Marco square. Unfortunately we weren’t pleased with the lack of recycling. My mother asked to dispose of a plastic water bottle, but one of the bartenders told us to throw it away in one of the garbages nearby. The cicchetti and the aperol spritz were pretty good!

Bar Ai de Leoni was a great stop for a snack and a drink. The server was kind, spoke English well, and gave some great recommendations, which made things super easy. The atmosphere was really cool—small, nicely designed, and it had a homey, relaxed vibe. I really enjoyed the cicchetti (Venetian-style tapas), especially the sarde in saor—easily my favorite. A perfect place to take a break and enjoy some local flavors. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

It’s a beautiful Venice bacaro right next to Sr Marks square that is not touristy enough to make you uncomfortable and gives you imaginative tapas options and a very good set of wines by the glass. The cicchetti were great no mater whether it was just sheep’s cheese with pear mostarda, sausage with pesto or some crazy vegan concoction of dried, cooked and raw vegetables or Gorgonzola and anchovies. The wine was certainly good and quite reasonably priced with both classical and natural options to entertain almost every kind of a customer. The people running the show are young, cheerful, helpful and caring. I will come here at least once on my every visit to Venice.

Excellent colorfully lit bar we stumbled upon while walking around in late-night Venice. Their cicchetti were delicious, and the cocktails were phenomenal. Our bartender got creative and served us all sorts of delicious drinks. The highlight for me was the one in the picture, which was their creative take on a Bloody Mary and was just amazing. Right amount of spice and just perfectly savory without being heavy. Just delicious. 10/10.

We’ve generally avoided hotel restaurants in America, but decided to give Aromi a try because it was so conveniently located for us. (And we’re in Venice!) We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the experience. Very knowledgeable , accommodating staff (Riccardo REALLY knows his stuff and is very ‘Cordiale e disponibile ´) combined with an interesting menu and wine selection made for a memorable experience. We also learned of regional specialties, such as the Sant’Erasmo artichokes . Perfection. A great way to spend our anniversary evening. Merci beaucoup. Grazie mille !!

We came there for a honeymoon dinner. The only reason we give 4 stars is that we felt it was too high end for us. Food was interesting and amazing. Waiters were helpful and knowledgeable. View was amazing. But for the same price we would have gone to three other places and would have had a more down to earth and amazing experience too.

Overall poor service, it was my wife’s birthday which I told them about & there was no acknowledgement of it. The food is “good” at best & definitely overpriced. The portions definitely do not reflect the cost. You may stay hungry if you have dinner here. I recommend going elsewhere like by the docks for better food & prices.

Best meal of our trip to Venice. Inventive, delicious dishes. Complimentary amuse bouche and dessert tower. Each dish was carefully explained to us by waiters who were incredibly attentive but unpretentious. Perfect view. Overall, faultless.

The food was the best around! But the high light was our serve Greta, which if you change the letters around is great because that’s what we got was great service! Also the other gentleman that was with her was amazing as well! As well the best view!

Its a convenient to-go restaurant if you’re staying at Hilton Venice. Food is normal with great ambience. However, presentation of dessert may be improved.

A real surprise. Excellent, inventive dishes with superb service. A very good if pricey wine list. Romantic views. As good as some 1-star Michelin restos I've been to.

Fantastic little spot for some cheap Cicchetti (Italian tapas) a selection of open sandwiches, arancini type snacks and our favourite- pizzaiola (mozzarella, tomato, oregano and bread dipped in beer batter and fried) very affordable. The ladies that run this hip little venue are quick and friendly, we also tried the local Venetian wine, which was a type of Cabernet, and had a taste like nothing I have ever had before, it was delicious and only €2.50 a glass!

Went on a local’s recommendation last week and found, thankfully, a not-so-touristy place! (The staff also spoke English, though.) We had a select spritz each and some bites I’ve sadly forgotten the name of by now. Perfect to tide us over until Italian dinner time.

We had such a great time at Osteria da Filo, the atmosphere is awesome and the bartenders were friendly. Our drinks were great and the polpette was delectable!

This was a magical Italian night. The place is lovely, service is friendly and food is good. Owner has offered live music for 36 years with a great passion. The perfect Italian closure of an unforgettable Venetian weekend.

Now also a great vegan choice! In the morning they have vegan croissants filled with nuts and figs and at lunch they have a vegan special that's really affordable with THE BEST VEGAN CARBONARA I've ever had... and I'm Italian. It was perfectly al dente, creamy and not sticky, and really, really tasty. In the lunch deal it comes with salad and a coffee at the end. They also have vegan bruschettas. Delicious! And of course, it's a historical jazz bar so in the evening there's always something special on.

This place is an absolute gem. Incredible food, atmosphere and hospitality. Owner is incredibly kind and the steaks he is serving on platters are to die for. Located in a really cool area. Great atmosphere among all the customers who were sitting by the canal; it can't get better than that! Unfortunately, everything else was a bit of a disappointment. The food was below average, from the salad to the meat. Desserts were hit and miss since the tiramisu was excellent, but the panacotta wasn't. Service was insufficient, and I even had to walk inside to pay the bill. At least, everything was affordable.

Love, love, loved this place! The knowledgeable, helpful staff serving wine at the counter and the gentleman monitoring the seating outside, run this cosy gem in a way that makes you feel like you’re at home. The wine selection is varied and delicious as are the cicchetti. I didn’t eat dinner here and I totally regret it. I sat at a table beside the canal. A gorgeous view, amazing wine and a lovely ambiance. I wish there was a place like this in my city.

Great food and great service. We stopped in on the first day of our trip and again on our last, 4 days later. The staff not only remembered us but also the wine selection we had made. We shared all of the meals, the lasagna is pictured. Highly recommend!

This place was recommended by a friend who had been to Venice a month before. It did not disappoint. It may seem busy when you first show, but you should be able to get a table quickly. Most are there to enjoy the cicchetti and a drink. Great table along the canal in an interesting part of town. We had the gnocchi with ragu sauce to start and we inhaled it. Then the tomahawk as our main and it was seriously one of the best steaks I have ever had anywhere. Go here!!

We came to the restaurant without a reservation and waited around 20 mins (which was not an issue for us; we were able to get some drinks while we were waiting). The steak was really good, there's no denying in that. However, what I had an issue with, is that midway through my dessert, they handed us our check. this indicated that they wanted us to get out (since that's the universal way of restaurants stating that) and i was shocked. it was so disrespectful and seeing other people enjoy their meal whereas they essentially wanted us out of the restaurant, is rude. i decided to not finish my dessert (creme brûlée was okay but nothing special, i'd say it was a 3/5). overall, seeing how we were treated vs. how other customers were treated was eye opening, and i will never recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the attitude. steak was great but I went to other restaurants in Venice where I had incredible steak. most of the waitresses were nice to us but the guy who's responsible for getting you seated was rude and mean, and he was the one who brought our check.

Found this place through a local recommendation and decided to give it a try. I ordered the picanha without realizing the price was per 100g. The server insisted on a minimum of three portions, even though there were just two of us. To our surprise, the steak was served family-style, a massive 2kg platter of meat. At the end, I told our server “non male,” meaning “not bad,” and we left with full stomachs and just a bit of leftovers. Highly recommended!

I had a great dinner at Ristorante Taverna al Remer 🍝 Tomi from the service team was very friendly and gave me excellent recommendations that perfectly matched my taste. To finish, I went for the classic tiramisu – it was so delicious with the perfect creamy consistency 🤩 In fact, it was so good that I couldn’t resist coming back the next day for a coffee with tiramisu before leaving Venice. A truly wonderful experience ✨

This was a beautiful dinner that we had on one of the last nights in Venice. The manager was incredibly hospitable, and we were one of the only customers in that evening, so we had a very intimate environment. We started with a tart and truffle, which was delicious on top of a beautiful cabbage. My duck with cherry sauce was insanely good and my wife ordered a delicious gnocchi that was very tender. They recommended a gray bottle of red wine to go with our meal that we enjoyed. I would say the meal was a bit overpriced for what we got however, it was all in all pretty good The atmosphere was beautiful, but it was incredibly hard to find this place as we got lost a couple times on the way even with google maps!

Nice place, all decorated in wood. Surround by local people. The food is good and lot of choice of wine and cocktails. I recommend "select" a typical Venetian sprits. You can take your drink outside and sit by the Canal grande as local people do.

We’ve been in Italy (all over) for 3 weeks now and this is arguably in our top 3 favorites meals of the trip, if not of all time. The food was phenomenal. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so romantic and charming. Everything was great. We did try to order cocktails and the bartender was not there that night so we weren’t able to order any but we settled for a bottle of red wine instead which was good. There was not live music playing, either but again, totally fine. My partner ordered the octopus for an appetizer and then a duck roast entree. She said it was the best duck she’s ever had in her life explaining the consistency, texture, and flavor as being fantastic. I am more of a picky eater but tried duck for the first time here and I actually enjoyed it. For my entree, I ordered the tagliatelle beef truffle pasta and wow. It was out of this world. The flavor achieved without it being too salty or too oily was amazing. We genuinely enjoyed our meals. For dessert, we ordered a flan with chocolate ice cream and that didn’t last long at all. This restaurant is away from the tourist traps tucked inside a quieter street amongst the canal. Highly recommend! You must visit this place.

Fantastico! A most unique setting in Venice. From the 800 year old building with the largest beam in Venice holding up the entire building to the hidden alleyway entrance and its own dock off the Grand Canal, this is the spot. The food was equally impressive.

My two Italian friends recommended this restaurant in Venice. We tried going on a Sunday but couldn’t get a table. Instead, we made a reservation for Monday and it was certainly worth it. All the seafood options for great. The tiramisu was just ok.

Great bar and great prices, they play 50s and 60s music, American Rock and Roll. Drinks are smooth and the bar tender showed skills/technique for sure. A must visit at night. If you like rum, Purple Haze and Rum Cooler are mmmm good. Young crowd to but we did have older couples come in to and the bar tender made them fell right at home. What a great place to have a drink and snacks. The atmosphere is great and the staff, specially the owner, Mattia, are very passionate and friendly. We enjoyed our time a lot in there and would go again for sure. The quality of drinks is exceptional!😍👍🏻

Amazing vibe, music and drinks in this 20-30yo crowd bar in Venice. Drinks are served in plastic cups but their knowledge and care at the counter is not unnoticed. They definitely do show they care! Come here have fun meeting local people and a few lost foreigners like myself. Moscow mule and bloody mary were awesomely good!

Had a couple of cocktails after a meal out which were both lovely. Staff were friendly and the location and atmosphere were welcoming.

This place was solid. We randomly found this spot and glad we did. While the food was just ok the wine selection was amazing. I can see why folks like this place especially during warmer times. We traveled during the winter so seating was only inside. The staff was awesome.

We ate here for lunch today and enjoyed it so much! After coming from touring Doge’s Palace, we were looking for a quiet, scenic spot to eat and get away from crowds - and this was perfect! Just saw it on Google maps and it had good reviews, so we sat down to give it a try. The cicchetti platter was delicious, as were the meatballs. We got glasses of wine after asking the waiter for recommendations, he was very helpful. He also brought extra non-fish cicchetti to our table after hearing that my friend wasn’t a huge fan of seafood (unlike me)- very sweet of him and it was also on the house which was extra generous. We watched a painter by the canal making lovely art and enjoyed our peaceful lunch tucked away in the canals. We were the first people at the restaurant for the day (arrived just after 12pm), but so many people sat down in the time we were there or took cicchetti to go, seemed like many locals. Can’t recommend enough!

We were looking for a quiet spot to escape the crowds of Venice & found it at Wine Bar 5000! I absolutely loved sitting right next to one of the canals, watching the gondolas pass by, listening to the gondoliers’s music and enjoy a cold Spritz on a hot summer day. We were pleasantly surprised by the good service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

We arrived at the venue and no one seated us. Then they seemed surprised that we were sitting down. At first, they didn’t know whether we were allowed to stay, but eventually let us sit. That’s fine, although it felt a bit chaotic. We ordered prosecco and wine, but they seemed confused that we weren’t ordering food. They didn’t know if that was acceptable but eventually acted like it was. Again, if the place has certain rules, that’s okay—but guests should be informed. The name of the establishment doesn’t suggest that ordering food is required. Then they brought us water, but the rest of our order never arrived. The staff openly ignored us. The table next to us also had issues with their order. The only positive thing was that, after we complained, they gave us the water for free. But I’ve never experienced sitting in a wine bar and only being served water.

Nice setting but the service was so terrible. We were in the middle of asking the waiter for a wine recommendation when he suddenly began helping another table. We had to call him back after waiting 10 minutes to order, we ordered and we were left 30+ minutes waiting for a beer and a wine only to be told there was no beer left (fine we ordered two wines) we were then left another 10 minutes waiting for 2 glasses of wine? The waiter didn’t even acknowledge the delay. Honestly would not recommend given the extremely poor service.

Came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The view was magnificent and I loved hearing the ocean lapping and smashing against the jetty. Our waitress was up to standard. However, the food was a let down. My husband had swordfish with gnocchi and found it to be acceptable. My beef fillet was served well done and not medium rare as ordered....to the point where it was almost like liver. We opted to have dessert elsewhere.

Ombra del Leone is a restaurant that seems promising at first, but after waiting an hour for the food, they bring out the main course before the appetizers. The food is poorly prepared or overly seasoned. With so many restaurant options in Venice, I recommend choosing somewhere else and not wasting your time here.

Hidden Terrace. I saw in another review. Great description. Was very fortunate to hang out here for the Regatta Storica. Great seat to sit and watch the parade and the races as they fly by but also just as great to sit on the grand canal and enjoy the gondolieri who loiter nearby as they pass time in between fares. Prices are fare or even at a value relative to many locations on the main thoroughfare. Service is nice if you’re not expecting the world. Perhaps they are on island time. Which is great. IMHO.

After taking all the sights the main island of Venice has to offer I decided to find a place with a good rating, that would both be not over the top expensive, offer quality food and be off the main road. Ombra del Leone ticks all the boxes! Even with small groups of people going back and forth (noon time) it blended nicely with the sound of the tide and a peaceful view with gondolas smoothly flouting on the water. The kitchen was to be open at noon, so I had time for a glass of Chardonnay and I enjoyed every bit of it and the risotto which came after. So if you are looking for the same things I was then this is the place to go. However it feels the place might be much more busy during the second part of the day, keep in mind.

I made a dinner reservation two months ahead of time and the restaurant confirmed the reservation. When my husband and I arrived, we were told they were closing in a hour for a private party. They never took the time to let me know ahead of time so I could secure another reservation. This was unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Then to just turn us away without even offering us a complimentary drink was even worse. All they said was I’m sorry but we will be closed. In this day with online reviews, I don’t understand how a restaurant could treat us so rudely. I showed them the confirmation email but they had nothing to say about it. Terrible customer service. Perfect spot to enjoy our first night back in Venezia! We were looking for somewhere to get a great meal with a truly Venetian view and this was it. Of course you expect that you'll pay a little more being right off the Grand Canal, but from the delicious food (it was too dark to take pictures), the friendly service, and the location, the prices really weren't that unreasonable. I'm sure the area may be usually more busy, but it felt very quiet and somewhat off the beaten path despite the fact that it's in such a prominent spot. Definitely recommended for a special meal - you'll enjoy it for sure!

Away of the crowds. A bit noisy with the grand canal slamming against the patio edge repeatedly but you get used to it. No one to welcome you. We had our hotel make our reservations since they told this American over the phone “all booked”. The waitress was quite nice, spoke good English and helped me along. Only one beer, which seems to be the case in Italy. Who drinks beer? Not Italians! The gnocchi with scampi was excellent. Like little pillows with the best “shrimp” I’ve ever tasted. Lasagna was good too. Bread came dry with no olive oil or salt/pepper. The waitress pleasantly brought us some when we asked. Panne cotta was nice, not overly sweet. Two people, eating light, 74 euro. Nothing is cheap here. Nothing. Except the mosquitoes, plenty of free mosquitos.
