Nestled on the serene island of Sant'Elena, Parco delle Rimembranze, also known as Pineta di Sant'Elena, is a tranquil haven just a stone's throw from the bustling Biennale area. This expansive park offers visitors a chance to unwind beneath towering pine trees while soaking in stunning views of the lagoon and Venice Lido. With its inviting benches and lush grassy areas, it's an ideal spot for relaxation or leisurely strolls.
Nice park in the southeast of Venice. Was not expecting to see so much greenery on the island! Great spot to stretch your legs after the narrow walkways and stairs of central Venice.

Park
Giardini Papadopoli is a charming public park located in the Santa Croce district of Venice, near Piazzale Roma and the main train station, Santa Lucia. Established in 1834 by the Papadopoli earls, these gardens have witnessed changes over time due to World War Two bombings and city expansion. Despite this, they still offer a serene escape with their mature shade trees including oaks, cypresses, and cedars.
Nice little place away from the main crowds, good spot to rest get some shaded seating and have a snack. Cool breeze from the canals nearby and close to main Venice entry points
Dray L — Google review
Small and unsightly park. Good for kids because it’s one of the few places with a playground. Not worth a visit while you’re in Venice.
Mary P — Google review
A hidden gem that many people rush past. A great place to get out of the afternoon sun and sit down and cool off. Clean and well maintained. There is a playground for the kiddos.
Mark P — Google review
Venice offers a refreshing green space amidst its bustling environment. While the area lacks grassy lawns and sufficient room for activities like running or kicking a ball, it provides a pleasant retreat. During my visit, the location was relatively calm, with some children playing and couples enjoying quiet moments together.
Tommy T — Google review
It's a nice, small park. There is a lot of comfy benchs so it's nice to sit around. But be careful after daylight especially if you have kids, because there is too many mosquitoes around the park. Maybe a anti-mosquitoe spray would be a good idea.
Emir Ö — Google review
Little park. Good place to have a rest in shadow before taking a bus.
Kyrylo S — Google review
Lovely small park to catch a break from all the walking. Lots of trees and lots of shade in the park. Lots of benches to sit and listen to the birds and the sound of water from the small little fenced fountain. Clean park without trash. I did saw a dead pigeon floating in the fountain.
Dino N — Google review
There are few green spaces in Venice. We spent 30 mins here, just chilling, to escape the heat and to rest our feet. Not the most amazing of parks, but it's fine for a little rest.

Garden
Giardini della Biennale is a serene garden in Venice that not only offers a peaceful retreat but also hosts art exhibitions and national pavilions designed by renowned architects. With a history dating back to Napoleon's era, the gardens became closely associated with the Biennale exhibition at the end of the 19th century. During this event, around thirty pavilions from different countries showcase an array of artworks.
Compared to the rest of Venice, I found Giardini to be incredibly peaceful. Unlike much of the city, it's lush with greenery—trees, flowers, and open spaces. There are plenty of benches, and I enjoyed watching birds and butterflies flutter around. I came for the Biennale, but it was the tranquility of Giardini that truly impressed me.
G S — Google review
Amid the bustling canals and throngs of visitors that define Venice, the Giardini della Biennale offers a breath of calm. This leafy enclave, tucked along the Bacino di San Marco, isn’t a destination for grand botanical wonders, but its quiet charm and historical roots make it a worthy detour for those seeking respite. Originally marshland transformed by Napoleon into public gardens, the space now serves dual purposes: a peaceful retreat and a cultural hub. Its winding paths lead visitors past 30 pavilions, each representing a different nation and showcasing architectural flair from icons like Carlo Scarpa and Alvar Aalto. Though the structures truly come alive during the Venice Biennale Art Festival—when global creativity takes center stage—they retain a quiet magnetism year-round. The gardens’ unpretentious beauty is amplified by quirky details: feral cats lounging in sunlit corners, the stoic gaze of Garibaldi’s statue at the entrance, and a serene coastal walk that skirts the water’s edge. These elements stitch together a patchwork of tranquility, a stark contrast to the nearby chaos of St. Mark’s Square. Yet, for all its understated appeal, the Giardini della Biennale remains a “nice-to-have” rather than a must-see. If your Venice itinerary is packed, you won’t miss a life-changing experience by skipping it. But for those with moments to spare, it’s a gentle reminder that even in a city overrun by tourism, pockets of stillness—and a few curious cats—still endure.
Peter K — Google review
Beautiful location for the biennial art and architecture Biennales. At the Giardini are most of the national pavilions. At the 2025 Architecture Biennale I was particularly impressed by the US and Scandinavian pavilions with the former focusing on the porch in US architecture with great examples like Ocean Grove, New Jersey and Chautauqua, New York. The Greek pavilion was impressive as well with a focus on the two Venetian shipyards on the island of Crete. The Israeli pavilion was closed for renovation as was the pavilion of Venezuela, designed by Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978) who also designed the original entrance pavilion to the Biennale.
Nils P — Google review
The bienalle for architecture is both mind blowing and overwhelming. The 2025 installation was very focused on climate change, global growth and usage of resources and how materials/technologies are used for global problem solving. It is important to go in with an open mind and time to process the information. Some countries and exhibits are better than others in terms of interpretation and information. For the year 2025, the beauty is in the details. The exhibition u Is not about architecture as many think of it, but rather about elements of architecture. And, if you are not comfortable with the English or Italian language, you will likely be lost and confused. It is wise to get the three-day pass and break up your time to allow the ability to process the density of information. There are many restaurants and cafes in the Giardini but in the main bienalle exhibit in the arsenale area there is only one large cafe and restaurant. Be sure to download area maps before you explore to get a good sense of place and understand the exhibits before you explore. The water taxis will bring you to the main stops for arsenale and giardini.
Gretchen G — Google review
Stopped off here just to see for ourselves what the gardens were like and not really impressed. Lots of benches to sit and rest, but statues not really that prominent. Did stop and grab a drink at the really nice Paradiso restaurant with a fabulous view into the bay area.

Amazing garden with many sculptures. Wonderful view, great for a walk during a warm day. Fountains, playground and toilets available in the park.

A very quiet garden in Venice, this part doesn’t have many tourists like the other places in Venice and it’s quite a nice and chill distraction from the commotion happening near St Marco, highly recommend for anyone to pass there!

San Francesco della Vigna is a Franciscan church located on the northern edge of Castello in Venice. The church features a rich collection of religious artwork, including a Bellini altarpiece and sculptures by Belgian artist Arne Quinze. The church was designed by Sansovino and completed by Palladio, with a facade designed by Palladio. It also houses Veronese's first Venetian commission and sculpted reliefs by Pietro Lombardo.
For me, this is an extraordinary place—an oasis of serenity and joy. I’m not religious, but whenever I feel troubled or overwhelmed, a visit here helps me reset and find clarity. There’s something deeply calming about the atmosphere, a quiet refuge from the noise of the world. The Franciscan friars are truly wonderful, adding to the warmth and sense of peace that fills this sacred space.

Historical place at Venice, Itali that the building made between canal which looks extremely gorgeous. If you want to visit the need to use water boat that required 20/25 minutes.
Md. S — Google review
For me, this church (monastery) is one of the top locations of Venice, forget the crowded downtown, this forgotten (or at least not that much visited) place is just an island of silence and beauty. Just enter the majestic church, or the convent garden, and you will be transported to another world... Plus, just by a chance, you can visit a small chapel only to realise that you are facing a masterpiece of Giovanni Bellini...

Serra dei Giardini is a charming café located in Venice, offering a unique atmosphere different from other bars in the area. Situated in a beautiful garden, this picturesque spot also sells plants and features high roofs and glass windows, creating a serene setting for relaxation. Visitors can enjoy hot chocolate with cream and delicious sweets while admiring the green surroundings. The café's old greenhouse setting provides a calming ambiance, complemented by friendly staff and an extensive drink selection including loose tea.
I’ve recently came across this spectacular cafe in Venice. It sure has a very different vibe and atmosphere from all the other bars in Venice. It’s located in a small beautiful garden and they also sell plants. The plants, high roof, and the glass windows make it a very pretty place for relaxing and enjoying your day. We tried the hot chocolate with cream which I really liked, and the sweets (cupcake and small cornetto) tasted good too. The prices are about 1€ higher that other bars in Venice.
Mahsa S — Google review
this is just an incredible place!! I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my friend Vera for planning a walk to this cafe for us❣️This is how I imagined my dream cafe.. what windows there are!! My friends and I had a great time there, some of us even managed to take a nap. Also, appreciate the sound of the cicadas, you can hear them in the video.
Nastassia H — Google review
Very nice place. However it is full of tourists and you need to wait for the table, even if you want just quick coffee.
Radek S — Google review
Visited this place on the 19th of June 2024. Decent prices, decent drinks. I've visited it twice on the same day, at lunchtime, trying to find some shade, and once later the afternoon while my spose was visiting the Giardini della Bienalle . The shade was not the best, I can't really say that umbrellas provide the best shade, but the drinks were awesome (had some americano coffees, a machiato, some sprits) . They also had a power outlet inside so i charged my device while sipping my drinks. Plus points for the venue, a former greenhouse dating back to 1890s. Minus points for not having AC and maybe the waiters were a bit slow but spoke English and that was great. I will add screenshots with their menu and peices as of June 2024 downloaded with their QR. My first time experience there was super ok. Perfetto, like the italians would say 😁
Daniel W — Google review
Nice architecture. Stuff don’t speak English. No reservations needed. Mini brioche 1€, torta salata with spinaci 5€. Small portions. Overrated place, with high prices. Photogenic architecture and garden if you’re into Instagram places. But if you want to have a nice breakfast and cappuccino better go somewhere else. Hygiene not on a good level, interior full of dust. Nice industrial look that could use some cleaning. Not recommended.
Kristina A — Google review
Staff took forever to take our orders. The bathroom is particularly dirty unfortunately and there should be more people taking care of the service table. Having only 1 waitress to take order AND pay the bills and only 1 waitress to clean the tables in a busy Sunday is not a good idea. The inside is really nice and the ambience is alright so the stars are all for that.
Rachel ( — Google review
The salad+Burrata Bowl was fresh, and amazing, the Staff-crew was also very kind and the place itself is just a hidden gem. Cozy, place to stay.. have a drink and just enjoy the sun. Thankyou for having us!
Yael T — Google review
A picturesque place, I loved that special calming atmosphere as you are sitting in the old greenhouse surrounded by plants. The staff was nice. The café has a wide offer of drinks. We had a hot chocolate and it was delicious. What is more, they have loose tea, which is not common in Italy in my opinion. Another bonus: they have a piano and guitar you can play! I will definitely return there!

Park
Giardini Reali, also known as the Royal Gardens of Venice, is a tranquil landscaped area located near Piazza San Marco along the Grand Canal. Despite its proximity to popular sites and attractions, it offers a peaceful retreat with walkways, park benches, and a ferry terminal. The gardens were constructed in the early 1800s and are an ideal place to take a break in Venice.
Tucked away just around the corner from the bustling St. Mark’s Square, the Gardens of the Venice Foundation (Giardini della Fondazione Venezia) are a true hidden gem—a quiet haven of greenery and tranquility in a city better known for its canals and narrow alleys. We stumbled upon this secret spot during our visit and ended up spending a wonderfully peaceful hour here, simply relaxing with an ice cream and enjoying the natural beauty. The gardens have an interesting history, originally part of the private grounds of a noble Venetian palace. Today, they are one of the few green spaces in the historic center, offering a rare escape from the crowds. The well-maintained paths wind through a delightful mix of Mediterranean plants, shady trees, and blooming flowers, creating an atmosphere that feels worlds away from the nearby tourist hotspots. One of the most enjoyable aspects was the sense of seclusion—even though we were only minutes from the heart of Venice, the gardens felt almost undiscovered. The benches and quiet corners make it an ideal spot to pause, unwind, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. For anyone looking for a moment of calm in the midst of Venice’s energy, this is the perfect place. Whether you’re escaping the midday heat, looking for a quiet place to read, or simply wanting to appreciate another side of the city, the Gardens of the Venice Foundation are well worth seeking out.

This is a gorgeous garden in Venice and super peaceful. It is nice to sit down and take a break or stroll around and see the different flowers and greenery. It is in a prime position right near the water and eateries nearby too.
Taylor M — Google review
This was my second time in Venice, and visiting the Giardini Reali truly felt like a refreshing escape in the heart of the city. I spent almost two hours here, simply enjoying the flowers, their scents, the peaceful walkways, and the calm beauty of it all. It’s a quiet, green corner filled with life, color, and charm, a wonderful experience on its own. Whether you're a nature lover or just need a break from the busy streets of Venice, this garden is an absolute gem worth visiting. ♥️
Danijela T — Google review
Beautiful gardens! It was so nice to see such beautiful green gardens since we’d been in stone cities for several days.
Shannon R — Google review
Lovely gardens which offer some well needed shade. Sadly the park is often really busy, so it's sometimes rather difficult to find a place to sit down.
Flynn T — Google review
“Tiny green escape in the heart of Venice—surprisingly refreshing! 🌿” Stumbled upon Giardini Reali just behind Piazza San Marco, and it instantly became my go-to oasis in the city. With shaded benches, pergola-covered walkways, and a lovely view of the lagoon, it’s the perfect spot to recharge between sightseeing bursts . Unexpected calm: Even on busy days, the garden’s tucked-away location makes it feel almost secret—perfect for a pause with a book or a snack . Lovely design touches: A restored 19th-century greenhouse, drawbridge to Piazza San Marco, and the longest wisteria pergola in Venice give it both charm and elegance . Free and easy access: Open to the public, and ideal for hanging out while you wait for the vaporetto at Giardinetti stop. No tickets, no rush .
Akınalp F — Google review
The Giardini Reali in Venice, also known as the Royal Gardens, offer a serene escape from the bustling streets of the city. These historic gardens, originally created for royalty, boast lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and tranquil pathways perfect for leisurely strolls. Visitors can admire the elegant statues and fountains scattered throughout the park, while enjoying panoramic views of the Venetian lagoon. Whether relaxing on a bench or exploring the hidden corners, the Giardini Reali provide a peaceful retreat and a glimpse into Venice's regal past.

The garden is a well-maintained, peaceful oasis with modern sculptures and pine trees. In addition to the lagoon view, it also has a path running beside it. The garden is great for walks and has been largely untouched since its construction over 100 years ago.
Went there to vusit Bienale Arte di Venezia. They have also a caffeteria where you can eat a delicious sandwich and a great cup of Italian coffee while visiting the pavillions. Pics are from 2024.

Lovely garden a bit along the way from at Marco square. It's much quieter and peaceful with lots of seating and statues (many rather old and worn though). Lovely to walk round and take in the smells of the plants. There is an exhibition within which you need to pay to enter (which we didn't) There are toilets but they also have to be paid for to be used. There is a lovely pond which an old statue but best of all has lots and lots of terrapins - when we went there were lots of young ones in there too. Vibe is nature, old and terrepin

Nice, quiet respite along the Fundamente between Arsenale and Giardini. Nice park with exhibits of sculpture changing every year. Also nice benches to contemplate the artwork. Some sculpture is interactive.

peaceful, green, and right by the water. I stumbled upon it while walking from San Marco, and ended up staying longer than I expected. There were some modern sculptures on display which made it feel like a mini outdoor museum. Perfect place to rest, read, or just escape the crowds for a while

Originally the site of shipyards, the gardens were transformed into public gardens in the 1930s. Located just a 10-minute walk from Piazza San Marco, the gardens offer a peaceful spot to rest and recharge away from the busier parts of the city. During the Venice Biennale, the gardens serve as an outdoor exhibition space for contemporary art and architecture, making it both a cultural venue and a quiet retreat for locals and visitors alike.

Parco Savorgnan, located in the Cannaregio neighborhood of Venice, is a charming 2.3-acre park surrounded by historic buildings. This tree-shaded oasis offers a peaceful escape from the city's bustle and is conveniently close to the Santa Lucia train station. The park features a kids' playground, swingset, park benches, and drinking fountains, making it an ideal spot for families to relax and enjoy some leisure time.
Nice park to relax before to go to the station 🌲 There is an entrance near the canal which is noisier 👂 There is a playground for children noisier too 👶 But overall you can rest here better than other surrounding places ☺️

It’s a nice park and well shaded. There is a playground for little kids as well as bigger kids. There are benches for adults and small picnic tables for kids along with infant and big kid swings. Local kids come here to play with there parents. Took a star away just because it wasn’t that clean so bring hand-wipes for your kids.

Great place for walking, running, biking as well as birdwatching. The area can be very hot in the summer months though. Update for August 2023 - Park is almost totally closed (fenced off) because of a concert this weekend. Restrooms A least one set of restrooms in the park. Dog-friendliness Many dog walkers on both occasions we have visited the park.

Garage San Marco is a convenient and secure parking facility located just outside the city of Venice. With 900 parking spaces, including indoor spots for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, it offers 24-hour guarded service. The garage also provides free electric vehicle recharging and has partnerships with major hotel associations, museums, and theaters in the city. Customers have praised its online reservation system and efficient check-in process.
We parked here when visited Venice. Stayed under 5hrs which cost £25. When we arrived there are staff waiting in the entrance. We were given a card of which floor we can parked. When we get to the 4th floor there’s another staff waiting and directed us where theres space. We’ve been told to leave the key inside the car which we did. We didn’t worry because we were surrounded by luxury cars. We felt safe using this carpark.

Smooth and worry free. Prepaid for 3 days parking. Was the best thing I did. Arrived later in the morning and was able to bypass the lineup and got parked and on my way in minutes. Parking attendant was great and friendly. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the speed of the elevator but it’s no big deal. If you can, walk one flight and they have a second elevator. Would park there again anytime. Thanks guys

Good parking lot for overnight parking👍🏻 The car park entrance is next to another car park’s so I understand why some reviews complained that the staff from San Marco would give them a ticket without asking when they were trying to enter another car park which charges hourly because it happened to us too, that the San Marco staff just walked up and gave us a ticket without asking and directed us to their entrance. Fortunately we actually booked the parking at San Marco online so it was not an issue for us, but for others please be aware.⚠️ We booked the parking online because our hotel suggested us so and we prepaid online already before arriving. Our hotel got a 10% off discount for us so we just paid €40.5 for 24 hours. For each extra hour after 24 hours it is €5@hour. You need to state your arrival time when booking online but I think it doesn’t really matter because your time only starts when you get the ticket at car park. As others have mentioned, you need to leave your car unlocked and car keys inside. We even left our luggage in the trunk overnight. We parked on 6/F. There’s usually 1-2 staff on each floor, and a lot more staff on the ground. We were glad to see our luggage was safe after one night. The staff on 6/F was friendly. To check-out, we went to the cashier located at the entrance on ground floor. We gave them our ticket and a discount voucher stamped by our hotel. As we prepaid online already, we just needed to get our ticket stamped by the cashier and then we were good to go. We were 15 minutes late but the car park did not charge us extra and we really appreciated it.

Arrived 9.30, for one day stay we were send to 8th floor that was mostly free. Free toilets, elevators. Preety steepy and narrow but good driver will easy handle. 35eu for up to 10hr stay. Asked to leave keys and car opened.
Woj S — Google review
We reserved in advance. It was easy to make the online reservation also the comunication with the personel was ok, easy check-in and check-out. We payed 135 euro for 3 days. The unpleasant surprise was to see that it would have been 40euro less expensive for the 3 days, în the parking next to this one. Also to be noted that you have to leave your key in the car because they move it if they need to, and the acces to the 8 floors of the parking, is on a very narrow spiral.
Angela C — Google review
Big parking garage, conveniently located in a high tourist area. Prices are expensive (we paid €35 for less than 6 hours), which is understandable given the location. However, we were disappointed that after paying such a high fee, we still had to pay an additional €1.50 per person just to use the restroom — and it only accepted coins, which was inconvenient for our group of four. For a facility charging premium rates, providing accessible restroom facilities for paying customers should be standard.😐💩
Niko S — Google review
The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a parking spot on the 7th floor. The ramp up and downwards is narrow (we made it with a Ford S-Max but I don't recommend it for longer and wider cars than ours). A parking service working here so you have to leave your keys in the car. The staff will move your car if you block other cars by leaving. We payed 25€ for 5 hours of parking. You must pay first before leaving but payment goes quick and easy. The staff will check if you paid your ticket before exiting the parking lot. Fair service. I give only the stars because I didn't expect it and was first a bit scared of that ramp. :)
Richárd B — Google review
So here is the explanation for 2 stars. We went with the minivan and were sent to the roof (8th floor). It would be really helpful if personnel warned that the spiral ascent is very narrow for such a car and that there is an option to pay extra 10 euros and stay on the ground floor. But for the excellent driving skills of our driver, the van would have been scratched all over. The descent was even much worse. But the most unpleasant thing happened during the payment - as the bill still included extra 10 euros. It turned out that we were given the ticket for the ground floor and actually were sent to the roof. The issue was immediately sorted out and we paid the proper amount. Therefore, please be attentive. To be honest, the view on the roof is amazing🙂

Venice City Park Srl is a convenient car park located on the mainland, just 50 meters away from the bus stop to Venice Island. The parking area is spacious and well-maintained, with 24/7 security. Visitors appreciate its proximity to the bus station, which offers a quick 5-minute ride to Venice. Additionally, the affordable daily parking rate of 5.5 euros makes it a cost-effective choice compared to parking in Venice itself.
You can park your car here all day for just 5.5 euros and reach the nearest bus station with a 6-minute walk. From there, you can get into Venice for 1.5 euros. Compared to parking in Venice, which costs over 25 euros, this option is much more reasonable. We parked our car there for 6 hours, and when we returned, it was completely safe and sound.

Spacious and well-organized parking lot. You don’t have to hand over your keys, and the area is monitored. There’s always someone in the little office who can help you. They also sell bus tickets to Venice directly on site – just €1.50 per person, per ride, with no extra charge. That’s the regular fare anyway, so super convenient. Parking costs €8 for the whole day, which is an absolute bargain for Venice. Honestly, can’t complain at all. I’d definitely park here again anytime I visit Venice!

We arrived at 12ish and the parking was full, however the parking next to (before) it was still available with a price of 7Euro (for 6 hours). Yes you can take the bus from Park petroli (PK1 bus). However the bus stop next to the highway Righi (opposite of the park petroli) is fine aswell. However take a picture of the table with the different busses because you will need it to find the right bus on your way back from Venice. The bus table on the picture is the one to Venice from Righi. We took bus 6 from Righi to Venice bus station (took around 15 min). You can buy your ticket online and print it out from the machine on the bus station or you can buy your ticket straight away from the machine. The ticket will only be activated when you scan the ticket the first time. When you get of the bus at Venice station it will only be for getting off which means you have to locate the spot for getting on. We decided to take the PK1 bus when getting back to the parking. You can get off on Righi or on the Park Petroli. Just be aware that if you get off at Righi you have to walk up stairs and cross the bridge to take the stairs down again on the other side of the highway.

Venice City Park SRL is a very convenient and reliable parking solution if you’re visiting Venice by car. The location is easy to find, with good access from the main roads, and the transfer service to Venice makes the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The parking area is secure, well organized, and offers plenty of space, so you can leave your car without worry while exploring the city. Prices are fair compared to other options around Venice, and the staff are professional, helpful, and efficient, which really adds to the positive experience. For anyone driving to Venice, this parking is a great choice — safe, practical, and hassle-free.

Pretty straightforward. No issues and not difficult. Parking on the island costs at least €29-40 per day. Here's some notes/tips: 1) €8/day and not €6/day...and per DATE and not per 24 hours. We parked just shy of 48 hours and paid €24. 2) Take the PK1 bus from the Park Petroli stop. That's the nearest bus stop, less walking with your luggage. Just a 2-3 min walk and the stop is in the next lot. 3) PK1 bus was €1.50 per person and I was able to use Apple Pay/tap pay onboard. 4) From PK1 bus at Park Petroli bus stop, only one stop into Venice island. From there you can walk to your accommodations or take water taxi or catch a vaporetti (water bus). I recommend getting the 24hour water bus pass for €25.

2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop that takes you to Venice P. Le. Roma in about 10 minutes. We paid 8 Euro p.d. staff is present 24x7. This was very nice easy and convenient. There are several parkings around too in case this is full.

Located in the Dorsoduro neighborhood of Venice, Italy, Ca' Rezzonico is a palazzo and art museum situated on the Grand Canal. Originally built by the Bon family in the 17th century and designed by renowned architect Baldassarre Longhena, it now houses the Museum of 18th-century Venice.
Absolutely outstanding museum and cafe and location!!! For so many reasons!! 1.) the ATVO water bus has a stop right next door! Super convenient to get to via the canal and a lovely walk too 2) an OUTSTANDING collection of 18th century art and furnishings and great history cards in each room that explains the history and much of daily life 3) interesting history of the property, both in origin and more recent as Robert Browning and Cole Porter both leased and lived here 4) THE BEST lunch location!! There is a simple but delicious cafe on property and they have hidden waterfront seating. Just ask the friendly bar staff in cafe if you can sit outside and they will show you way. (And it’s very reasonably priced!)

Ca’ Rezzonico is a magnificent museum on the Grand Canal that immerses you in the splendor of 18th-century Venice. Lavishly decorated rooms, Murano chandeliers, and masterpieces by Tiepolo and Longhi capture the opulence of the era. It’s a beautifully preserved glimpse into the life of the Venetian aristocracy—elegant, theatrical, and unforgettable.

A lovely old house converted into a museum with ceilings by some of greatest Venetian artists. Upon entering one is met with a vast painted hall, of sublime quality and design. On the same room are a set of state rooms with art, furniture and other items. I especially enjoyed the tapestries, though they are in need of a clean and some restoration. The upper floors are galleries. There is one statue of a veiled lady that is particularly impressive.

A masterpiece of Venetian Baroque and Rococo architecture, the palace now serves as the Museum of 18th-Century Venice (Museo del Settecento Veneziano). It was originally commissioned in 1649 by the noble Bon family and designed by the renowned architect Baldassare Longhena. However, construction was halted due to Longhena’s death and the Bon family’s financial difficulties. In 1751, the palace was acquired by the wealthy Rezzonico family, who completed it in 1758 under the direction of Giorgio Massari. Since 1936, the palace has been open to the public as a museum showcasing the art, culture, and daily life of 18th-century Venetian nobility. Visitors can explore opulently decorated rooms, period furnishings, and works by artists such as Tiepolo and Longhi, offering a vivid glimpse into Venice’s golden age.

I heard that this is the biggest park in Europe. It can be true, it's very very big and suitable for jogging, running and having a picnic with many people. There are parks as well. The reason why I gave 3 stars is that it was so empty. No enough trees, as you see in the pictures I uploaded, green flat areas are a lot but trees are not very much. There are football pitches and basketball areas too. I would recommend here for taking a walk and having fresh air.

Beautiful area with lots of green space, a park in the heart of Mestre and just across from Venice. The perfect place for complete rest and relaxation. Inside the park are great restaurants and bars that offer good food and drink. The green area offers a good view of Venice and the Venetian lagoon. Very open, with lots of trails for both runners and walkers and cyclists. Everything is great done. It is easy to walk or run 4-5 km around the park, the lagoon and its trails. Apart from being an area for environmental and landscape recovery, it is also one of the most important places to study the lagoon environment, it is also popular as a destination for sports and cultural activities for leisure. An ideal place to stay in nature with the family. Created thanks to the European contribution, San Giuliano Park is an ambitious project, one of the most significant urban conversion and land reclamation interventions in Italy due to its complexity and articulation, as well as its dimensional and territorial characteristics. San Giuliano Park is one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the Venetian lagoon environment, and is known for being an excellent area for bird watching to visit the lagoon, attracting the interest of many nature photographers and observers, especially ornithologists. The park is actually known to enthusiasts for its rich avifauna, as it is a nesting area for many species of birds.

Out visit to Burano was part of our boat tour. I was looking forward to the coloured houses and it did not disappoint. It was just breath taking, I loved how each home is painted in the colour chosen by the family living in it and no other house has the same colour but can have different shades. We also saw a lace demonstration which was interesting, the length of time it takes the woman to make these, so much patience and skill. We got to try some biscuits too at the bakery and ate pizza in one of the eateries. It was an amazing trip, would definitely recommend coming here if you're in Venice, you won't regret it.

If you are planning on going you need to remember a few things: 1: be respectful these colourful house are peoples homes 2: stick to your right when walking! Nice colourful buildings, however most of them are quite old and shabby (not painted for a ling time). The picture is of the nice ones Underwear hanging outside is also quite weird 🤷‍♀️ Be careful when you get back to Venice - the line to a boat is incredibly long. You need to wait no less than 30 minutes + it’s not completely clear which boat you need to take - check the schedule board - it may differ from google. The ticket is 25 euro! (it’s a day ticket, but you can’t buy any other less)

Best parking for a few days in Venice! I was looking for a parking in Venice that would be big enough to fit my car, and also that would have a lot of parking spaces as I was going during the Venice Carnaval. I was worried as you cannot book this parking in advance but in fact it turned up fine. They had more than enough spaces available and it was really large for the cars. I had also read a few negative comments on the safety, but I deemed it really safe. I left my care for a full 5 days and when I cam back there had not been any issue. All in all a great parking! I really recommend it.

We left our car fully packed for 24 hours and had no issues - nothing dubious like theft. A fine place to park your car when you are going to Venice. The price is just the cost of parking close to a city like Venice. It's easy to get from the parking to the people mover and into the city. The parking spaces are on the smaller side and the same goes for both the entrance and the exit, but it's not unlike some many other parking garages. I recommend it for the convenience.

Best choice we could make! There can't be a better and more relaxed way to get to Venice whem travelling by car. We bought a ticket online the day before for 5 € and got a nice place in the shade at around 9 am. No crowds, no queue. It is 13€ pP to take the boat over to Venice and back, which is a really fair price. We used it as a base for getting into Venice and opted for the water ferry, which was convenient and ran on time. However, by the end of the experience, we had paid just over £100 for the group, which felt quite expensive for what was included. The location is ideal if you're planning to explore Venice without driving into the city, and it does offer a hassle-free way to park and connect with public transport. That said, the toilet facilities were quite poor, particularly the men’s, which could definitely use some maintenance and a deep clean. It’s not what you’d expect from an otherwise professional setup, and it slightly took away from the overall experience. While the service was efficient and the signage was clear, the cost and facilities didn’t quite match expectations. If they improved the cleanliness of the amenities and offered better value for larger groups, this could easily become a go-to choice for visiting Venice.

It’s a port...the ferries to Greece tie up here. When they do the black water boat comes alongside to empty the ferry’s dirty tanks. Good cabaret. Quite a bit of shouting etc,. Views of central Venice in the far distance. You would not know you were in Venice. The approach is interesting, old buildings, camping, but very industrial, not scenic at all.

Venice is a canal of city in the Mediterranean Deo coast. Lot of fun nd enjoy in ferry riding. Also it’s worth seeing cathedral, old arch bridges, glass murals art etc. there is lot of good food nd dessert with beer counter.

We visited Venice parking our car here (for 5€ online booking) and then payed return tickets to Venice with vaporetto. Lovely experience, only not knowing the timetable ahead made us miss the vaporetto by 5 minutes, and then had to wait a whole hour for the next departure.

Probably one of the easier ways to get to Venice by car. Get a parking spot online, pay less and then get the boat over to Venice.

Garage Europa Mestre is a multi-storey parking facility with 220 spaces, including 9 for Camper or Mini-Van. It operates daily from 7am to 10pm and offers a 20% discount for guests staying in associated hotels. Located about 13 minutes from the city center, it provides convenient access to public transportation, such as the bus stop with a direct line to Venezia.
We’re grateful for this safe parking option. We paid 20 euros per day, very friendly guards. Turning spaces are a little tight but manageable. We had no problems with our SUV. Bus only a few minutes and 1,50€ ride to the historic centre of Venice.

Very nice parking garage in Mestre, near Venice. Very safe, not crowded, inexpensive. We paid around 11 eur for several hours (4-5hours) Bus to Venice is just 2-3 min away, lots of cafes on the way.

Great parking for 1-day and more! Indoor parking with office inside. 100 meters from bus station 4L to take you Venice. We came because it’s SAFE. Parking inside Venice is always dangerous because it outdoor parking
Saud I — Google review
If you want to keep your car safe and pay less than Venice parking, this is a good address. From there it is easy to drive via Bus (line 4L) in front on the other side of the street to Venice. Note: you need to be familiar with your (big) car as the parking deck circles are tight.
Arti F — Google review
Nicely organized parking space with good prices and possibility for online reservation, which for so many dates seems necessary when you are going to Venezia. Easy to locate and to get around from there to bus or train station. Prices are very moderate. The only problem is really small elevator and uneven parking spaces - some are really bug while others are really small.
Bojana I — Google review
I would like to give exactly 4,5 stars. Because it was really good, but not perfect tho. +it's near bus stop with a direct line to Venezia (line L4 to Piazella Roma), 10 minutes travel time, 3 euro adult ticket when you buy it from the bus driver, 1,5 euro when you buy it in the booth +it's really cheap considering local prices +toilets in the building +kind staff -a huge disadvantage - very very very (3x very is on purpose) tight place. I mean, there are three spots between the wall and pillar, but if you really put three cars in those places, none of the drivers will ever get out, most Italians who parked there took two spots in the first place, so be ready for this
David K — Google review
Parking fine, prices - for this city and location near the station - are also acceptable. It is worth booking a place earlier via the Internet, although when I arrived, the employee did not even look at the printed confirmation of the booking, gave the token and directed to the top floor. Unfortunately, reservations are made there (without the roof cover). Elevators are available. The bus stop towards the station is located on the other side of the street, getting off the bus is in front of the building. There, at the bus stop, there is a public transport ticket vending machine - useful on holidays, when everything else is closed. Note: for several people you should (probably) buy several separate tickets, not one for several trips, because it is not the same. If you prefer trains and short walks - it takes some 10-15 minutes to the station.

San Giorgio Maggiore is a charming island in the southeast of San Marco, offering breathtaking views and a historic church with a bell tower. The island has been an inspiration for Renaissance painters due to its majestic basilica visible from Piazzetta San Marco. Originally, there was only a small wooden church on the island until subsequent centuries saw the construction of the monastery and later, in the 16th century, the basilica as it stands today.
An island where I feel the move of the floating construction bed. The tower is great because of the great view of the other tower and gladly to see Lorenzo Quinn Building Bridges work.

* you can pay only in cash. * you can go up with elevator and face the best view of Venice. I was stocked there, didn’t want to move, till they ring the bells and all my dreams went to the hell * the building is normal in compare of other attractions in Venice but it’s view is incomparable to nearby thing, so don’t miss it. * the island have a little harbor with an amazing view of small boats and lots of garden you can see in my picture. * you can stay there for half a day but check the opening time

Visible directly across from Piazza San Marco, this beautiful island is known for its peaceful atmosphere, historic architecture, and stunning views. Note: Easily accessible via Vaporetto Line 2.

Better view from the clocktower than even from the one in San Marco. And the church is actually free. Bar nearby was very reasonably priced too compared to San Marco. Worth a visit if you're in Vencie!

Very beautiful Churchill with free admission. I also reccomend going up to the bell tower for the best views of Venice and the surrounding islands.
Mateusz F — Google review
One of the most famous locations in Venice. Don’t buy anything in its around, everything is so expensive.
Farnaz K — Google review
Just a short vaporetto ride from the bustling city of Venice, this island is famous for its iconic church, the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, with its elegant facade, majestic dome, and classical proportions. One of the highlights of visiting San Giorgio Maggiore is ascending the bell tower, which offers panoramic views of Venice and the surrounding lagoon. From the top of the tower, you can see famous landmarks such as St. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, and the Campanile di San Marco, as well as the picturesque islands scattered throughout the lagoon. Aside from the basilica, it offers a tranquil retreat from the crowds of Venice. The island's peaceful atmosphere, lush gardens, and waterfront promenade make it the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a leisurely stroll or a relaxing picnic.

Customers have praised the outstanding service provided by the staff, highlighting their helpfulness and efficiency. The well-maintained and safe parking area has received positive feedback for its convenience and reliability.
We drove from Germany with a large family in an American mini van. We were worried because we saw negative reviews for other parking lots on the outskirts of Venice. This parking lot has plenty of spaces, the owner is friendly, and the shuttle to Piazzale Roma was comfortable and short. He picked us up when we needed it. The prices are agreeable compared to others we looked at. We had a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a parking lot when driving to Venice.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Left my car there for 5 days and on day 3 they sent me an email that my car has been damaged! I requested a photo and I saw that drivers side window was broken. Appon arrival I saw that several cars were damaged same as mine. Parking company mailed me on my question of insurance: " we regret to inform you that no compensation is provided for these cases." Only plus side is that they placed a nylon sheet as a temporary protective measure. Nothing was stolen from my car because nothing was worth taking! Really don't understand point of taking good sume of money for the parking place if you can't watch it! I'm thinking about taking legal action.

The parking hours are from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, but vehicles can be retrieved or parked at any time of the day.
I left my car here during my visit to Venice, because I read lot of notes about breaken car windows from free parking places in other places in Mestre. You pay in the office, then you can go with your car. I walked back to catch tram, but there is also boat transport directly to Venice. Price was OK, people were nice. I felt they are taking the security very responsibly. I am not sure about overnight parking, but camping is not allowed.

The gardens were created in 1807 by order of Napoleon Bonaparte and designed by Gianantonio Selva as a public green space for the citizens of Venice. Today, they serve both as a peaceful retreat and as a major cultural venue. Since 1895, the gardens have hosted the Venice Biennale, beginning with its first International Art Exhibition. During the Biennale, approximately 65% of the gardens are dedicated to exhibition space, while the remaining 35% remains open as public parkland. Starting in 1907, individual nations began constructing their own pavilions within the gardens. Today, there are 29 national pavilions, making the gardens one of the central hubs for contemporary art during the Biennale.

Parco di Villa Groggia is a delightful park located in a lesser-known area of Venice. It features an adjoining theater, the civic center, and a charming toy library. Despite not being enormous in size, it offers a peaceful oasis with its quadrangular shape, providing shade in summer and shelter in winter. The park is well-maintained and provides numerous benches for visitors to rest and relax.
Surprising oasis of peace in a hectic city. Come here, sit, walk your dog and enjoy the quiet.

One of a few areas of greenery. A popular spot if you need to walk your dog. All in all a relatively small and quaint park that you can walk round very quickly. There were a few dogs and owners in the park but not many It’s in a relatively quiet neighbourhood which is residential, so it’s a bit different from the crowds in the centre. Well worth a trip there even just to have a peaceful stroll

The Venezia Certosa Marina is one of the largest marinas in Italy, situated on the Grand Canal near Venice. It is a popular tourist destination and has a wide range of facilities including restaurants, cafés, shops, a casino and a water sports centre. The marina also has berths for boats of all sizes, making it perfect for both commercial and leisure vessels.
What a wonderful marina! The marina is located on a beautiful island next to Venice city with a lovely nature and park-garden. You can reach Venice city by easily by water bus and in the evening the marina staff offers water taxis for free. The showers and toilets are brand new and in a very good condition.

This is a fantastic Marina with Venice at your doorstep. We have an annual berth. The process went smoothly from our visit while we were on holidays in Venice. All the staff have spent some time with us showing us the Marina and the surroundings. We even could see our berth before signing the contract. Upon arrival this morning at 7.15 am from Croatia, the Harbour Master was awaiting for us to guide us to our berth and helped us secure the boat. The location is amazing if you love Venice and nature altogether as this island, which is a nature park and quite large, is a vaporetto stop away from the city, but is very quiet! The bathrooms are just of another level compared to any other marinas. They are like the Italian bathrooms you have at home and they are spotless. You have toilettes and shower in the same large private room. 5 star service! Amazing! Well done to the entire staff!

(Translated by Google) After years of abandonment, sale was threatened; fortunately some willing students had occupied it, transforming it into a meeting place and this convinced the University to invest in it. It now has one of the largest public lawns in Venice, although unfortunately many diseased plants have been cut down. Not to be missed is the wellhead with the lions and the Barbarigo coats of arms. A word of caution: avoid noise, as the Ca' Bembo researchers' studies overlook the garden. [UPDATE JANUARY 2020] Less than three months after the inauguration, the garden is reduced to a swamp. Although it hasn't rained for at least ten days, there is a large puddle of stagnant water left in the center of the lawn which is causing the grass to rot. A wonderful place on which a hasty and therefore approximate work was done.
