Hotel
Generator Venice is a refurbished waterfront granary that has been transformed into a stylish hostel with both rooms and dorms. Situated on the island of Giudecca, it offers contemporary and luxurious accommodations at an affordable price. The hostel features modern interiors with statement furniture and art, offering various room options including small to large female and mixed dorms, as well as private rooms for couples or groups. Additionally, there are common areas and an on-site bar that hosts karaoke and dance parties on weekends.
This place is full of life and the perfect base to experience the vibrant spirit of Venice! The atmosphere is energetic and welcoming, with a great mix of travelers and a location that puts you right in the heart of the action. The decor is fun, the common areas are lively, and it’s easy to meet people or just relax and take in the charm of the city. The only downside was the limited number of bathrooms. At peak times, it meant waiting a bit, which wasn’t ideal. Adding a few more would make the stay even more comfortable. That said, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely stay here again—just with a little extra patience!
Rita D — Google review
My friend and I stayed here while backpacking through Europe, and unfortunately, this hostel was a major letdown. The rooms were extremely cramped to the point that the lockers blocked the walkway, making it difficult to grab clothes or other items. The bathrooms were moldy and dirty, with what looked like a rotting wooden floor that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in days. Underneath the beds, there was a buildup of grime and dirt that looked like it had been collecting for months. To make matters worse, my bed had dried blood and dirt on the side of the sheets, something I didn’t notice until the next morning when I dropped my phone. While the main lobby was clean and nicely presented, it felt deceptive once we got to our room. The staff were friendly, though a bit slow and distracted, joking around with each other instead of checking us in. The bar was also very expensive. That wouldn’t have been a big issue if the bartender hadn’t seemed completely unsure of what she was doing. She did admit she was new and was incredibly kind, but paying €10 for a drink that ended up being undrinkable was a disappointing experience. On a positive note, the view from our room was quite pretty, with two small windows offering a nice scene outside. Overall, though, I’d say the stay was not worth it.

I had booked a room with your hotel a month ago, and yesterday afternoon I came to check in. However, I was told that I needed to present my passport. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my passport in Germany, where I currently live. Therefore, I could only provide my German residence permit and a photo of my passport. However, the staff member at that time did not accept it. I was really tired at that moment and just needed a place to rest. I pleaded with the staff because I had already provided my booking information, my residence card, and a photo of my passport. At the very least, you already had enough information to identify me and use it as proof if anything were to happen. However, the staff member firmly refused. I even asked whether it would be possible to contact someone for assistance or speak with a supervisor, but the staff member did not make any effort to reach out or help. I was truly disappointed with the way your staff handled the situation and with the level of service I received. Of course, I had no desire to argue or discuss the matter any further with the staff member, so I decided to leave. Fortunately, I later found another place to stay, which was very comfortable and convenient. They were happy to accept the documents I provided — just a photo of my passport containing all the necessary information. Anyway, thank you for your kind hospitality. Unfortunately, I ended up losing money, was unable to check in, and had to find another place to stay for the night.
Hoang N — Google review
If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute joke. Generator Hostel Venice pretends to be a “cool design hostel,” but in reality, it’s a noisy, disrespectful money-grab with zero care for guests. They have a so-called restaurant right next to reception that they rent out for private parties — and yes, they turn the entire hostel into a nightclub. The night before my marathon, they threw a birthday party blasting music until 2 a.m. The walls were shaking, people couldn’t sleep, and the staff did absolutely nothing. Totally unacceptable and incredibly inconsiderate toward guests who actually need rest. You can’t even bring your own food to the common areas because they clearly want to force you to spend money in their overpriced restaurant. Bathrooms were disgusting — mould, leaks, and puddles of water everywhere. The showers looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. And don’t expect any privacy — the beds have no curtains, and space between them is very little, you literally have a feeling that you sleep next to each others. I’ve stayed in hostels all around the world — cheap ones, fancy ones, big and small — and this is by far the worst of them all. It only looks good in pictures. In reality, it’s dirty, loud, and run by people who don’t care about their guests at all. Save yourself the disappointment — stay literally anywhere else.
Rafał W — Google review
Nice location only a three minute walk from the ferry station and with beautiful views right to the grand canal. It was nice sitting areas, and friendly staff. I had two separate check ins and I was able to check right in to my new room as soon as I checked out of the old one. The showers in the second floor are see through and does not give you much privacy, but overall I had a good experience here. It is definently mostly young people and I was able to make friends as a solo traveler, but kind of expected it to be more events hosted by the hostel, as there is in the chains other locations.
Ingeborg K — Google review
Location is decent and the staff working the bar are lovely.... but.... 1. You are not allowed any of your own food or drink, you can only buy from them, so if you travelling on a budget, you are screwed. I have NEVER heard of a hostel not allowing guests to have their own food before. Ever. 2. Internet crashed for hours at a time 3. They hire out the main chilling area for Private Events with loud music, so if meeting fellow travellers or sleeping are things you want, good luck. Honestly its a shame because in theory, it seemed so lovely but was such a let down. The no food policy completely blew my mind.
Samantha B — Google review
Nice place with nice decor but the service could be much improved . Stayed there for 2 nights and the bathroom lights never worked. Had to use a different bathroom due to this. Front desk staff took a bit too long to process each guest which could be improved. Its easy for me to compare because I stayed at Generator Stockholm and the staff there were much more efficient. Recommended otherwise.
Milon B — Google review
There is no better location, it's directly across the Grande canal from San Marco square. Three desk is manned 24/7. The front doors are never locked. Fellow guests are well behaved, it felt like a library in the common areas. Bring a padlock for your unnerved storage. Caffe service starts at 7 am. Small bathrooms need an upgrade. Very old condition. Thank you Generator.

Hotel
Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo is a charming two-star hotel in Venice, offering elegant rooms with period furnishings, Wi-Fi, and breakfast. Situated in a typical Venetian mansion with a pretty courtyard where breakfast is served in summer, the hotel provides a warm welcome from the owner-managers. Despite being away from the tourist crowds, it's conveniently located near attractions like Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square.
We loved our stay here! The staff were so friendly and kind. When we checked in they showed us to our room and shared everything we would need to know. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spotless, and it was quiet and cozy. We loved the breakfast complete with morning espresso/cappuccino. The hotel is within walking distance of the vaparrato stop and the train station. We are so glad we found this place!
Laura W — Google review
I had a lovely stay! The hotel is outside the crazy tourist area but still easily walkable to all the sites, as well as San Strae where you can catch the public boat to Rialto (if you don’t want to walk) or Piazzale Roma (where you can catch a taxi or transfer to the train station, airport, etc). The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable, and when I asked to extend my stay for 1 day, they carried my bags to the other room for me. I stayed in Room 5 (king with a balcony view) the first two nights and then Room 42 (king 2-room suite) in the building across the canal, which also had a view of the canal but no balcony (still beautiful) Both rooms I stayed in were very clean and beautiful, though very regal, so if you are looking for minimalist/modern, that is not the aesthetic here. Breakfast is free with great espresso made for you and an assortment of fruit, meats and cheese, eggs, bacon, pastries, etc. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to anyone. If you choose to stay here, I highly recommend *** Regina Sconta *** (restaurant) only a few mins away for an authentic high end Venetian meal, with handmade pasta, wine pairings, amazing service, and the best tiramisu.
Jessica F — Google review
I had an excellent experience during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable ,they were genuinely kind and attentive. The entire hotel was incredibly clean and well-kept, from the lobby to the rooms. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in maintaining high standards. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on my next visit!”

Beautiful property in a perfect walkable location. Do yourself a favor and book the private taxi from the airport to the door! Felt very safe. Breakfast was good not spectacular everything fresh. Comfortable and clean with reasonable pricing.

We loved Al Ponte Mocenigo after our three night late June stay. This small tidy and quiet three star Venice hotel is outside of the hubbub but an easy walk to all major sites. Very conveniently 50m from the San Stae vaperetto and Alilaguna stop on the Grand Canal for transiting to/from airport, train station, or islands. Many restaurant options within 10 minute walk. Our second level ("first floor") room was roomy for Europe, well appointed with comfy beds, couch, chairs, and tables, and had plenty of closets. The bathroom was excellent: clean, great shower, towel heaters etc (no ventilation though). We stayed during a heat wave (temps in the 90s with high humidity) and the central air conditioning was great, a real respite. Great free wifi too. The cheery front desk and breakfast staff were helpful and informative. We enjoyed the many included breakfast options (each night the front desk asks what time you prefer to breakfast). I feel lucky we found such a wonderful place to stay for our visit!

We love staying at Al Ponte Mocenigo. This is our third stay at the property and it is a true hidden gem. We’ve stayed at the Europa Regina and we like HAPM better at a third the price. The rooms are spotless and generous in size. They don’t have a restaurant or bar but why would you need that when you can walk a few hundred feet and share cicchetti and a drink with Venetians? The location is well away from the crowds and craziness of Venice. A true neighborhood with quiet piazzas and alleys to explore. Plenty of quality dining in a 10 minute range. (Even a 5 star, haute cuisine, restaurant in a magnificent setting just around the corner.) They have a lovely breakfast buffet on their terrace in good weather. The facilities are updated with quality fittings. The staff are very kind and helpful. The ease of arrival via Alilaguna boat is simple. Exit the boat at San Stae, walk straight 100 feet and you’re there. The water bus is also at San Stae, so you can get everywhere from there. It’s about a 15 minute walk to St Marks but when we do go there, we do it early. Highly recommended.
Christine A — Google review
This is our third stay at this small hotel. We were 4 adults and 2 children on a vacation. We last stayed here 10 years ago. Little has changed except the hotel has expanded. They have acquired the building across from their breakfast area. This is our first time staying in the addition and it was nice. We missed the main area rooms but everything was clean and very spacious. The WiFi was good and the included breakfast was excellent as usual. This hotel is located in the northern part of the island a little distance from the main tourist areas. Accordingly it is quiet with several good restaurants where the locals eat. It is just off a vaporatto stop at saint Stae. From the restaurant it is a short walk(10-15 minutes) to the Rialto Bridge, Saint Marks square or the Murano vaporatto station. The owners are very helpful and prepared a nice brown bag breakfast for 6 for our departure which was prior to the hotel breakfast opening. We highly recommend this hotel as it provides quality and convenient service.

Amazing hotel with very kind staff. Beautiful golden rooms. They had champagne and a nice note congratulating us on our marriage which was a very nice touch.

Antica Locanda Montin is a venerable, art-filled venue in Venice that offers Venetian dishes with a seafood focus. The restaurant is famous for accepting art as credit in the past and is favored for its enormous romantic pergola. It's known for its charming, simple, antique-filled rooms and delicious dishes such as spaghetti alla seppie and fegato alla Veneziana.
Would never be able to find it and definitely worth the effort to seek out this hidden gem. Very authentic feel and the food was excellent. The grilled scallops generous and melt in the mouth perfectly cooked. The spaghetti with clams slipped down a treat. Their grilled vegetables so full of flavour. Even the olive oil was delicious and rich.

We have a final gathering dinner with all the students on 7/13. We suffer a serious issues that is the food that we share is not enough for the whole group of 18 people. The restaurant served very normal seafood to share. The environment is full of greenery but many bees and mosquito. Finally, we all paid for £40 and someone didn’t get food at all. It is better to choose cheaper and other better restaurants.
棋哥 — Google review
Antica Locanda Montin is, as its name suggests, a historical inn, still offering both accommodation and food. The restaurant and décor are steeped in nostalgia, perhaps to a fault. This review is strictly for the restaurant. The main dining room is dark and very traditional, with paintings covering nearly every wall. It could certainly use a modern refresh. The garden, its best feature, is genuinely lovely and surprisingly spacious, especially by Venetian standards. The service is polite, which in Venice qualifies as a minor miracle. The main issue is the food. The restaurant is rooted in tradition, but unfortunately, also stuck in it. The menu is so firmly anchored in the past, it seems to have missed several culinary movements, including most of the last seven decades. The same tired Venetian classics are trotted out, lovingly untouched by innovation or whim. No seasonal variation, no playful reinterpretation, just the same dishes, again and again. I can’t imagine the existential dread of being a chef here. While most restaurants now respond to the rhythms of nature, shifting menus by the week or even by the day, Antica Locanda Montin remains immovable. Its menu changes not by season, but by era, and the era in question appears to be post-war austerity. Elsewhere, restaurants accommodate dietary needs with grace and creativity. Here, asking for a vegetarian or vegan option feels like you’re getting less, not something different of equal value. It’s a real pity. The place still radiates charm, and its story is tied to great names in the arts. One only wishes they would breathe some fresh air into both the décor and the cuisine ... the place deserves it.
Lo M — Google review
Had a perfect evening here ;at the restaurant) a couple nights ago. The service was exceptional, the food and drink were delicious and the atmosphere was just magical. Feel like I’ve discovered a hidden gem.
Meghan A — Google review
Nice location, quiet rooms and a great restaurant. It's a 3-star but a really good one. Close to Academia bridge, vaporetto stops and only four stops to St-Mark's. You can even walk around Venice from here with a good map and a great sense of direction (honestly, this place is a maze).
JML P — Google review
Antica Locanda Montin provided us with a delightful dinner experience in their charming garden during the Biennale festival. The food was exceptional, the setting was beautiful, and the staff were courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and are definitely planning to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in a lovely atmosphere!
Clemens L — Google review
A very okay, budget experience. If you have the cash, opt for something a bit less budget and don't go here. The only actual issue was our room's shower head was completely broken, leaking, and had this mechanism where you could move it up and down, but it kept sliding down. AC worked, bed was fine, they had extra pillows and cleaning services. The big con (not necessarily an issue) was that wifi does not work in their rooms - only their common areas - and we had to use data to look up places to go and directions for Venice. Have no idea why they did that, but once again - you're staying at a budget place. Would not stay here again but am not recommending against it if you're alright with these issues or bringing them up with staff.

Nestled in the charming Santa Croce district, Hotel Dalla Mora offers an inviting and budget-friendly escape for travelers seeking a genuine Venetian experience. This family-run hotel boasts simple yet clean rooms, each with delightful views of the canal. Guests can enjoy a complimentary Italian-style breakfast featuring fresh breads, hams, and cheeses to start their day right. The highlight is undoubtedly the lovely flower-adorned terrace that overlooks the tranquil waters—a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere.
Hotel Dalla Mora was wonderful ! Perfectly located along a quiet canal but still within easy walking distance to the main attractions. The owner and staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with directions or tips. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with that classic Venetian charm. The breakfast, served on a small terrace, was a lovely start to each day. I would absolutely stay here again and couldn’t recommended it more !

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Dalla Mora. The price was very affordable, room was aptly equipped and location was perfect to get to all the sights. They even let us check in early after our overnight flight and let us store the bags after check out. Breakfast in the morning was great too.
Dylan A — Google review
A nice little hotel located right next to Piazzale Roma, making it easy to get to when you land in the middle of the night like we did. Though it is expensive, it is one of the cheapest options on Venice, and the room is very comfortable. The free breakfast is basic, including a cornetto, some bread rolls, boiled eggs, and an assortment of spreads. It is quite tasty however. The only downside is that you can hear people in the corridor, which could disrupt your sleep if you're a light sleeper.

We recently stayed at Dalla Mora Hotel in Venice and had a wonderful experience! The room was cozy and perfect for rest and sleep. The location was excellent, just a 10-12 minute walk from Venice Train Station. There were plenty of great cafes and restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a bite or explore the area. And just from our window, we could see the canal - what a beautiful view! The staff were super courteous and friendly, which added to the overall warmth of our stay. A big plus was the breakfast they served, especially appreciated on a rainy day (Day 2 of our stay was a downpour!). It really made our stay more comfortable. Overall, we'd definitely recommend Dalla Mora Hotel for its convenient location, friendly staff, and cozy rooms.

Nice small hotel very helpful receptionist, nice clean room with a good onsuite. WiFi included . Close to railway station and bus station. Good range of restaurants just across the road . Very good breakfast included

This hotel really exceeded my expectations! I loved the location, only 10 minutes walk from the station and 15 mins from Rialto. In a lovely neighborhood with a few cute restaurants and bars but also much quieter than the crowded central area. Our room was right on the canal, so typical of Venice! Really lovely! Everything was spotless, from the common area to our room and bathroom to the breakfast room. The room was not huge but just the right size for a short stay. Breakfast was simple but with everything you need, mostly sweet with some savory options. The owner (or manager) was welcoming and helpful. Overall, a beautiful stay in Venice - totally recommended!

Location couldn’t be better, ten minutes walk from the station and situated right on a canal giving you the full Venice experience. Very good value for money, staff were polite and the private room was exactly what I needed after three weeks roughing it in shared hostel rooms. I hope to be back in the future!
Rebekah B — Google review
A simple and cosy place to stay in Venice, I strongly recommend it. Everything was so clean and tidy, hotel staff is super friendly, and the location is just perfect. We had a guiet room with a nice view on the canal.

Nestled in a charming 17th-century building, Hotel Flora is a delightful retreat just off the bustling Calle Larga XXII Marzo. This family-run gem has been welcoming guests for decades and boasts 40 tastefully decorated rooms featuring hand-carved beds and views of its serene courtyard garden adorned with classical statues and fountains.
Amazing hotel, staff and service. Thank you to the friendly staff: Giouelle, Marco and Nur. Prime location to see Venice’s key sites. A beautiful tranquil garden welcomes you after being in the busy streets of Venice! Delicious pastries and coffee. Highly recommended.

My family (myself, wife, 22 y/o son and 18 y/o daughter) stayed here 3 nights while visiting Venice. We couldn't recommend the Hotel Flora more. Great vibe, clean rooms, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, and chill bar. Can't beat the location!
Mike E — Google review
I love this surprising and remarkable hotel. I had no idea it would be this amazing. It’s a hidden treasure from the busy Venice streets. I was welcomed with smiles by the owners, the scent of roses is in the air, and a welcoming conversation for me because it was my first time there about the beauty and amenities that Venice has to offer. The location was perfect, you can walk to everything (restaurants, gondolas, shopping, sights) from the hotel. During check in, you have a view of the loveliest private garden, it’s peaceful, a vintage bar stocked with local wines and top shelf spirits is there. I missed the complimentary breakfast unfortunately because I was so happy waking up in the morning from the luxury mattress and bed linens, looking out the Venetian blinds at the Italian rooftops. I couldn’t get up. You will get a personal tour of the hotel as you make your way through the flowers and the pristine designed staircase up to your private room. The staff will make restaurant and experience recommendations and book your dinner reservations also. The room I stayed in was immaculately organized and stocked, clean and the incredible Italian sunshine steamed through my windows with a perfect view of the terracotta rooftops, the dome and the view down to the garden. The mattress was so sleep inducing for me, the room was quiet and peaceful. The bathroom clean and fresh plus well-stocked with luxury local lotions, potions and soaps. I love being in a hotel where I can walk barefoot in my room without feeling crumbs or sand on my feet! Throughout the hotel, there is no view that isn’t beautiful, and every step you notice the details like the wall paper, the light fixtures, the flower vases and books. There is even a record player in the classic bar area spinning Coltrane’s “Blue Train.” I conducted significant online research to find a woman-solo-travel-friendly, 24/7 staffed, centrally located but quiet slightly upscale hotel in Venice, and the experience provided by the hotel exceeded my expectations. I wanted an authentic Venetian experience, and I got it. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking beauty, comfort, design, lush mattresses and pillows, quiet, good vibes, super clean, and in-house delicious wines and food.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Flora. The location is perfect—tucked back in a quiet little alley, yet just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. The peaceful courtyard was one of our favorite parts, filled with lush plants, cozy seating, and magical lighting. It was the perfect spot to relax after a long day exploring the city. The hotel’s vintage charm is unbeatable. From the intricate wallpaper to the unique art and lighting, everything feels authentic and timeless, like stepping into old-world Venice that has been lovingly maintained. Service was top notch. The front desk staff went above and beyond, giving us great recommendations and even booking a private water taxi for us at 4am. Breakfast was another highlight—beautiful dish ware, delicious food. Honestly, this hotel topped all four of the places we stayed during our trip to Europe, even outshining a 5-star property in the Dolomites. If I had to nitpick one thing, it’s that there are no blackout curtains, so pack a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to early morning light. For the quality, service, and charm, the price felt very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and stay here when you visit Venice—you won’t regret it!

Could not have asked for more. Luxury feel but also felt like I'd gone back in time, in a good way. Rustic, yet boutique Great friendly staff, fab location. The softest bedsheets known to man..a very luxurious and relaxing place

At a time when most hotels are run by corporations and funds, this one is still managed by its owners — and that makes all the difference. It gives you the feeling that anything is possible. Thank you Gioele and Heiby for the wonderful treatment. If you ever go to Venice, you must at least stop by for a coffee in their beautiful garden — and hopefully stay at one of their places. They offer a few different options depending on what you need. Three generations have been running this business, and you can feel the difference.

Not sure Hotel Flora could have been any more perfect. Room was wonderful. The staff was superior and so knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here next time I visit Venice. They deserve more than five stars.

Palazzo Abadessa is a luxurious hotel housed in a former 16th-century palace, offering an elegant and historic atmosphere combined with modern amenities. The Rossi family warmly welcomes guests and provides attentive service, ensuring a memorable stay. The hotel features stunning shared spaces including a marble staircase and a grand ballroom with stained-glass windows. The rooms are adorned with 17th-century frescoes and Murano chandeliers, exuding opulence and charm.
We absolutely loved our stay here and it’s our new home in Venice when we should come back in the future. So special to stay in a historical palace tucked away from all the hustle and bustle on the Main Street. The ground floor classic room had a bit of a smell due to there being an original 500 year old water well in it (covered though by glass), otherwise very beautiful and heated floor in the bathroom. All the staff were very friendly and ensured to accomodate all our needs. Buffet breakfast amazing! There’s also a complimentary afternoon tea from 4-6pm daily. For our last night we were kindly gifted an upgrade to a spacious suite on the top floor. Distance to everywhere was close. They helped organise a water taxi which picked us up from their water gate (see photo). We highly recommend staying here - it was like living in a dream! Grazie mille 😍

What a hidden gem that hotel was! The palazzo is in the heart of Cannaregio. Everything is close by, yet the area of the hotel is quiet. A really well-preserved palazzo that stays in time capsule, with a beautiful private garden and a classic venetian feel. Our room was big, clean with fabric tapestries, a wooden ceiling, and a canal view. A rich breakfast buffet that includes your order of coffee served in a beautiful space, or if you preferred, at the garden . The staff was really friendly and made sure that we felt welcome. The room also included a bottle of prosecco as a gift that we enjoyed with some food from a closed by restaurant in that beautiful garden . I would really love to stay there again.

This was our first trip to Venice made even more wonderful by our stay at Palazzo Abadessa. I could cite the superb location, a haven of peace and tranquility, yet only 100m from the main thoroughfare and Grand Canal; the elegant tasteful interior, lobby and rooms; the serene peaceful garden where we enjoyed breakfast and drinks throughout the day and evening; the generous and tasty breakfasts; but more important than all this, all true nevertheless, was the unwavering attentiveness and politeness of the staff. I simply cannot fault their wonderful welcome and care. Thank you to all. Stuart & Sue

Wonderful stay at the Palazzo Abadessa I stayed at the Palazzo Abadessa Hotel with my children, and we had a fantastic time. My children were especially happy – the entire staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and polite. They made us feel truly welcome. The hotel's location is also perfect: very central and ideal for exploring the city. We would return anytime and highly recommend the hotel!

The most perfect hotel in Venice! Great location, very friendly service, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast, fair prices. Highly recommended! We loved it here.
Einat D — Google review
I know this is very subjective and many would not agree, but this is how I imagine a quality hotel. It had friendliest staff as we were there and the historical palace is just magical. You can touch history here... Wait until you discover the garden! Yes, the green and very quiet garden was the suprise of the year that I did not expect in Venice. The hotel is away from the busy street yet you can reach Rialto quickly. Breakfast was great. Loved the interior!
Szalai E — Google review
Be careful with this place. They will offer you “free upgrade” at check in then try to charge you next day. Saw it happen to two others arguing at check in then tried to sneak it on us by saying it would be easier to carry bags there (they didn’t help us carry bags up the stairs in an attempt to sell) Rooms are tiny and AC / Wifi doesn’t work. Breakfast is gross. Staff tried to collect city tax three times even though I showed I paid. Better options all around for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Abadessa. It was the one hotel I found to have a classic venetian feel to it. the hotel and rooms give you a proper historical vibe and are impressive. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they are always up for a chat and can give you everything you need to know about the local area / Venice / local islands, etc. Luka and Darwin were particularly helpful so grazie to them! Location is excellent as it's just off the main high street of Venice so there is plenty of shops, bars and restaurants local. It's a 5 minute walk to Rialto bridge (my favourite thing about Venice) and about 20 minute walk from Saint Mark square. Every Saturday there is a free taxi directly from the hotel to Murano, the neighbouring Island which is great. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. Value wise, it's a little bit pricey in my opinion but not much different in comparison to most places in Venice.

Nestled in the heart of Venice, B&B San Marco - Realvenice offers a charming escape with its three beautifully appointed rooms that boast stunning canal and rooftop views. This cozy bed and breakfast feels more like a home than a hotel, providing an intimate atmosphere where guests can enjoy breakfast alongside their welcoming hosts. Each morning begins with delightful Italian pastries paired with coffee, creating the perfect start to your day.
Excellent accommodation, Alice and Marco are superb hosts, extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed the hospitality of the local hosts who are kind, friendly and helpful. Located in a perfect place to go around anywhere in Venice.Easily accessible coming from the airport with the boat and ideally located above a canal. Generally a great accomodation selection by any means.
Ioannis L — Google review
Sadly, our experience at this B&B was not good. The owner lied to us (twice) about the air conditioning (saying it worked when it did not), and lied to us about one of the window screens, which was broken. Our nights were very hot, dark, and uncomfortable (there are many mosquitos in Venice, and this B&B receives direct sunlight in the morning, requiring the shutters to be closed for good sleep). Breakfast was 20-30 minutes late each morning and was quite skimpy. The owner seemed hurried and distracted, and the service was terrible. You'd do better to do elsewhere when staying in Venice.
Sommer S — Google review
Lovely hosts, very warm and kind. Nice small Italian sweets every morning with a coffee. The view is lovely - a quiet street over the canals with minimal traffic. Definitely recommend:)

Just left Venice today after a 2 night stay at Marco and Alice's B&B. They are lovely people and their home has everything you need. We had one of the bedrooms which shared a bathroom with another guest, which worked out great. Ideal location on a quiet canal, but still within easy walking distance to the tourist sites. If we are lucky enough to return to Venice, we look forward to staying with them again. Grazie mille, Marco e Alice!

The best place to sleep in Venice! The landlords are an incredible family, very warm, very welcoming, committed to preserving Venice from its authentic facets, and the rooms are beautiful, they have a taste for beautiful things. And the neighborhood is quiet and very well placed.
Eloïse N — Google review
Worst place we stayed in Europe. Room on 4th floor, hot, with no air conditioning. There was 4 of us (rented 2 rooms) and tried to sleep with windows open but was bitten by mosquitos. Bathroom was dirty with orange moldy shower curtain and wet mop left in corner. Breakfast was not served to us but given instruction on were milk/OJ in refrigerator . Croissants were hard and old. Poor location far from sites as well and difficult to find (poorly labeled on door). Walked an additional 20 minutes looking and owner was not answering their phone.

Combo Venezia is a beautifully restored hostel nestled in a 12th-century monastery in the charming Cannaregio district of Venice. This unique accommodation blends traditional Venetian aesthetics with modern comforts, offering guests a variety of options from dormitories to private rooms and apartments, all equipped with air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. The vibrant atmosphere includes an inviting courtyard, a Bacaro serving delicious snacks and Cicchetti, as well as an eclectic restaurant and a 24/7 bar for those late-night cravings.
Gorgeous place. If I come to Venice again, I'll stay there. Maybe location is not the best for tourists, but I came for work and for me it was perfect to stay a bit out of tourist paths. And Venice is walkable anyway. Interior designers did amazing job combining the historical heritage and modern comfort in rooms. The restaurant offered nice dinner and overall there were a lot of nice facilities. Highly recommend

I was surprised by how good this place was! Converted from a historic monastery and hosts student dormitory, hostels and apartments, Combo was surprisingly modern and well kept. Even the shared room was spacious and offered more personal space than any hostel I had ever stayed. Set up like a student dorm, a set of shared rooms has its own kitchen that is better equipped than most Airbnb and bathroom (which provides towels and shampoo gel)! I would definitely return here next time I come to Venezia.

Combo Venezia was an amazing place to stay for so many reasons. It was conveniently close to the ferry stop where the Alilaguna ferry to the airport leaves from. It was also a short walk to most attractions, the Jewish quarter, and was a lovely place to walk around at night. The restaurant and cafe/bars onsite were very convenient, and the reception staff were readily available. The grounds and courtyard areas inside the restored convent were all beautifully done and provided a peaceful place to have a drink with friends or to find a quiet corner to read a book. The breakfast was absolutely top class, and the coffee machine, although seriously overworked, did an amazing job. Oh, and did I mention the gym? Absolutely the best hostel I've ever stayed in.
Jude M — Google review
This place was absolutely amazing! The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. I was so blown away by the cleanliness particularly. They have housekeeping come by everyday to even mop the floors. I’ve never seen that in a hostel. The room setup is also unique. I’m in a 6 female dorm, but there is only 2 people per room. So each 6 block has multiple rooms where you share with one other person. We also have our own living space with kitchen and all. Would stay here 100x over!!
Janice C — Google review
Staying in this hostel was a really cool experience. The atmosphere was very unique since the hostel is located in an old cloister from the 12 th century so it was a nice mixture of old architecture and modern flair. The rooms are quite simple but stylish and clean and depending on where they are located in the building, you have a nice view on one of the canals. The hostel staff was welcoming and friendly and you even get a welcome drink at the bar. We enjoyed spending time at the beautiful inner courtyard where you can just enjoy a drink and hang out on couches or even eat your breakfast there the next morning. We can absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!
Kristina S — Google review
We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the canal views (from the upstairs suite) were lovely. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was great, just a short walk to the vaporetto stop, making it easy to explore Murano and Burano. We also didn't have too far to go to get to Piazza San Marco – about 30 minutes on foot. One tiny suggestion: the rooms could use a bit more decoration – they're a bit plain and could benefit from a bit more personality.
Ralu — Google review
Very nice hotel. It has a very nice garden in the lobby. The room was cozy and pretty clean. The room also had canal view. Only two small issues. The roof in our room was shaking and making a lot of noise when someone was walking in the upper floor. Also the breakfast management could be better, we had to wait some time for food refill and clean glasses. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Stayed for two nights in a two bed private room, lovely having AC as it was in the 90s° f during our trip. Didn't get to utilize the kitchenette in our room but seemed like a nice feature. Would've loved to spend more time here. Also decently close to the water taxi stop.

Great location with a beautiful canal view. The staff are excellent and friendly. The rooms are big enough for couples. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was clean, well organized, and very comfortable. The staff were amazing – friendly, professional, and always ready to help. A special mention to the elderly gentleman Roberto, who gives the hotel an extra touch of charm. The bartender (sorry, I don’t remember his name) was incredibly kind and always offered a delicious glass of Prosecco. And the lovely lady at reception with beautiful dark curly hair was so helpful and welcoming. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant — we would love to come back and highly recommend this place!

Housed in a 15th-century building, it offers refined rooms and warm apartments with complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel's smart interiors feature bold design and pastel colors, providing a modern twist on traditional Venetian decor. It is conveniently situated near the Piazzale Roma bus terminus and several vaporetto stops, making it easily accessible for guests.
A great friendly hotel slightly out of the main tourist areas. Very quiet and just a short walk to the busy parts. Plenty of reastaurants cafe/bars in the area. Totally recommend. Great value.

We had a lovely two night stay in this hotel. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to be away from the madness of the center of Venice. Not only is it a lot more peaceful and with some great quiet bars and restaurants to chose from, it is also a lot cheaper to both stay and eat/drink. Honestly after walking round the crazy tourist filled streets of central Venice this area feels like another world. The room was comfortable, had a bit of an old room feel to it which was nice. However the bathroom was very modern bright and clean, the shower was excellent with hand shower as well as waterfall head so you could choose. Water pressure was also good. The staff were lovely, always there to help provide advice. I also ended up booking a taxi to the airport on the last day which they easily sorted out for me (that is an experience on it's own if you have never done it, a crazy boat ride full speed to the airport, crazy fun).
Neil M — Google review
Terrible! Do not stay here, we were in the room for 20 minutes and I got bit twice. The room had bed bugs and the hotel did nothing about it, the reception staff weren’t helpful at all. The only option they gave us was to change the bedding and move rooms the day after, so they wanted us to sleep in a bed with hairs all over it and bed bugs! We contacted our travel agent and luckily they moved us quickly. Do not recommend this hotel at all!
Sian G — Google review
I booked this hotel because, even though it’s on the outskirts of Venice, I thought it would be convenient with the vaporetto. But both of the nearest stops were farther to walk than I expected. Especially if you have heavy luggage, the many stairways along the way make it really inconvenient. There also aren’t many restaurants or shops nearby, so unless you enjoy a very quiet area, it’s not ideal. As expected, there was no elevator, and carrying our bags from the ground floor up to the 3rd floor was tough. One night it rained, and the sound of the rain on the roof was so loud it even woke me up. Since we were on the top floor, the ceiling was low, so I constantly had to be careful not to bump my head. The bed quality wasn’t great either. After check-out they did keep our luggage, but it was left out in the open near the lobby, so we had to carry any valuables with us. I booked this place thinking it was a cheap but good option within Venice, but in terms of location and amenities, there were quite a few letdowns.

Nestled in the heart of Venice, Hotel Rio is a charming boutique hotel that offers an inviting blend of style and comfort. Just a short five-minute walk from iconic landmarks like St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace, this hotel places you right in the midst of vibrant local life filled with bars and restaurants. While the rooms may be on the smaller side, they are tastefully decorated, ensuring a cozy atmosphere for your stay.
Clean and good price. Jeffery at the front desk was great. For the cost and location, the room was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and smelled great. It is an older Venice hotel which s being well kept.

Excellent location and close to all the main attractions of Venice. Receptionist who checked us in very friendly. We booked the annex room which is behind the main reception so down an alleyway and to the rear of some restaurants. There is no lift if you have a big case so perhaps not suitable if you have mobility issues. The room itself is very small so I wouldn't stay here longer than 2 nights. Bathroom is fairly dated but everything worked.
Jordan B — Google review
Location 5 stars, receptionist were very nice and professional so 5 stars for service. Only problem is our AC was not functioning correctly and I was unable to sleep all night. It showed on at max capacity but hardly any cold air came out. There is no point in staying somewhere you cannot rest. I didn’t expect much but to say you have AC when its not functional shows a huge lack of transparency. Also the red flag was walking in our room and seeing a fan. I’ve never seen a fan in a room that has working air conditioning. Makes no sense.
R — Google review
Choosing this hotel was definitely a win. Around sunset all tourists are leaving and you get to experience the best part of Venice all for yourself. I was traveling solo and it was very safe at this area. The best part it was completely quiet at night and together with new mattress and good quality pillows I could fully recharge for the next day
Anna Y — Google review
Zero professionalism, the manager confirmed we could check in early as we had a late flight early hours of the morning, when trying to confirm a third time before our flight when the reception should of still been open we were ignored several times … when we arrived we were surprised to see no receptionist watching the lobby nor any cameras for any safety. The manager himself confirmed we could self check in however we had no reply upon arriving to the hotel. We feel extremely hard done by as we feel our money was taken knowing we could not check in earlier. When asking to speak to the manager the next morning of course he was “busy”. Customer service was an absolute joke.

Hotel dell'Opera is a relatively new three-star hotel in Venice that feels more like a four-star due to its high standard of furniture and service. The elegant 18th-century-style rooms offer canal views, and the location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square. Formerly an ancient convent, Hotel Santa Marina now boasts beautiful interiors and charm, with easy access to Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square.
Great hotel overall for what you pay; Pros; really nice rooms with lots of space Great location, so easy to get around Very polite, friendly and helpful staff The honesty bar is good value and a little oasis The canal view is really nice, not too noisy but nice to see Cons; Some bathrooms have a low shower fitting so might not be ideal for everyone (I saw the other reviews so wasn't bothered) There was some noise in the mornings but this is italy and is common in a lot of old buildings. I would have liked a coffee machine and an iron in the room Overall it was very good and would recommend or stay there again
LD D — Google review
Though the hotel is right on an inner canal and that may be attractive to some please take in consideration that it'll be noisy, also for some weird reason the kithen is right next to the room and you can hear everything from inside the room, so you'll be getting up really early due to the noise. The breakfast is great, you can get fresh cooked eggs

Nice little hotel in the heart of venice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bit of a walk with luggage from train station but we had backpacks so it was fine. There is a water taxi stop close - 10 min walk so there is an option. Same taxi stop for transport to airport. Our window looked over the canal so we could peek out to see the boats and people. Hotel very quick to respond to the couple of enquiries I had prior to arrival. Rooms are well decorated and spacious. Bath tubs with sit down shower put some people off by reading other comments but really it is a different way of doing the same thing. Everything clean. Breakfast was great with eggs ordered to your liking, and very lovely staff. Would return!

The hotel has a good location and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the bathroom is very poor, as the shower is placed on the floor in a way that makes it impossible to take a proper shower.

Decent hotel however location is not quite ideal. A lot of steps where you’ll have to pick your luggage up and down. Rooms are also small and cramped up.

Great hotel tucked away in a lovely area by a small canal. The rooms are lovely and quiet, clean and traditionally Italian. A small preference from our side would be for a kettle in the room, however you could make hot drinks and have a piece of cake all day downstairs. The rooftop terrace with a view of San Marco Basilica was a nice surprise! Breakfast was excellent and staff were attentive and friendly. The front desk staff, particularly Pier, were very accommodating and helped us make restaurant reservations as well as providing useful city info. Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend.

We were delighted with this hotel. It lived up to all its great reviews. Clean and tidy, amazing location, very close to everything but quiet and calm at night. Very little interior hotel noise even though we were directly under the breakfast room. Our canal view room was very spacious for Venice and the bathroom was beautiful though very tiny (anyone much larger than average size may struggle in there). Nice shower gel and hand wash. Lots of gondolas passing during the day which was great to watch, and you can hire one right outside. Super helpful, friendly reception staff made us feel very welcome and were happy to store our luggage after checkout which was brilliant. We would recommend this little hotel to anyone.

I would gladly stay at this hotel again. The location was great and the staff was very nice and helpful with any request. We were only moments away from San Marco square. The hotel itself was very quiet and easy to navigate. We had ample places to plug up devices when needed. The room had plenty of sunlight and views of the canal to see life happening: The room was very spacious and we did not feel cramped. The shower pressure and heat worked wonderfully. Room service was very neat. I appreciated the rooftop and honesty bar. The wifi worked really well and allowed me to catch up on texts, email, and social media without long loading times.

Hotel Sant’Antonin is a charming boutique hotel located in a 16th-century building in the quiet Castello district of Venice. Owned by a local family, this quaint hideaway features a lush garden at the back and overlooks a canal at the front. The antique-filled palazzo offers 13 simple yet cozy rooms with parquet or terrazzo floors and lavish bedspreads. Guests can enjoy breakfast in bed or in the garden while taking in lovely views of the surroundings.
The loved staying in this beautiful property in the center of Venice. Location was amazing walking distance to all tourist attractions but it was on a quiet street with a beautiful garden. Staff was super welcoming, we will definitely come back and recommend this resort.

Great Venetian style hotel. Room was great as it accommodated our family of 5. Water taxi stop right outside is great if you are travelling with large suitcases. Beds were fine and shower was good. Great for a two night stay.

Our stay at this Venice hotel was, unfortunately, far from the experience we expected. While the location was convenient, the quality and unkept of the hotel left much to be desired. Several basic amenities were not functioning properly. The overall cleanliness was subpar. The front desk staff were helpful. This hotel may have potential with better maintenance and attention to detail, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend it.

Very cool hotel in the middle of Venice. The rooms were unique, service vet friendly and the breakfast enjoyable, although not the healthiest one.

After a 24-hour drive from Latvia, we arrived at the hotel only to be told that there was no reservation for us. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement – this was extremely frustrating after such a long journey. We had a confirmed and fully paid booking, and this experience has left us very dissatisfied.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. It is a little gem of a hotel in a great location. Our room was stunning, mixing the beauty of the old in the bedroom and little sitting room with a modern and well equipped bathroom. It was lovely to have breakfast on the garden terrace each morning, the choice and quality of food and drink was very good. The staff were all warm and friendly and obviously very proud of their hotel - and so they should be.

Loved the property and everything about it. Situated in the center of the city. Bay and all the attractions are within 1 mile. Feels like staying in a palace. I booked a junior suite for my family with a terrace. We loved everything. The staff was super friendly and available all the times. There is a lift in the property for people with limited accessibility. breakfast in the garden was the highlight. Perfect for grabbing a luxurious experience at a reasonable price.

Nestled along the serene Cannaregio canal, Ca' Dogaressa is a charming hotel that perfectly captures the essence of Venice. This elegant establishment boasts spacious rooms equipped with modern amenities like TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests can unwind on the lovely roof terrace while soaking in picturesque views of the surrounding area.
Great property. Kept the old charm by not modifying the old rooms. Just upgraded what was needed. 1. Bathrooms 2. Beds 3. Air-conditioning So the rooms look great and you have all modern amenities. Things to keep in mind. Though the property is right next to Guglie ferry terminal, check-in is at Leone Hotel, which is about 250m from the property. So if you have a lot of luggage and get down at Guglie, leave the luggage there and walk to Leone for checkin. Do the same while checking out. Otherwise, the location is spot on. You are in a neighborhood where very few day trip tourists show up. So, it's not crowded. Most restaurants are true Venitian and not tourist traps. The staff that helps you with checkin' at Leone is amazing.

We booked the room with canal view. The room was great, very big. Good amenities, service, nearby cafes and restaurants all while being in walking distance to/from the train station. My only complaint is that from our room on the 2nd floor (Room 5) the lights shining in the Ca Dogaressa sign on the outside of the building make the room very bright at night. The curtains are in a fixed position and cannot be drawn shut. The lights do not dim or turn off until 11:52 PM (I was still awake when it happened). Attached are photos of how bright the room is prior to then. You really should turn the light off sooner, or allow the curtains to be drawn shut.

Even though it doesn't have reception, the service it provided was still very good. They sent me email which provided all details of check in, luggage storage, etc with Leone Hotel, which is about 100 meters away only. We got all necessary support from Leone anyway. Our room is small. However, it supplies everything we need, even a coffee machine! Also, with password set for the entry of the building and of the room, its quite secure too. Location: 10 minutes walk from the station. Reasonable! You can also buy a 24 hour pass to take ferry to the hotel, if you like. Overall, the stay is comfortable. The support we got from Leone is good.

One of the loveliest hotels i’ve ever seen. It’s was a real magic, beautiful room, vieuw and friendly stuff. Clean enough and comfortable. Not in the touristic area, so need to goo to the centre city a little bit, but for me it wasn’t problem - not for lasy people 😆. Recommend you absolutely, waiting already for next time there 🫶🏻

Fantastic stay right on the canal! This hotel is intimate, clean, with spacious rooms and a great location. It’s just enough off of the beaten path where you feel you are secluded, but the main areas of Venice are still very accessible/walkable. Check in is located at the Hotel Leone just down the street as the Hotel Ca’ Dogaressa does not have its own reception area. The hotel is in the same neighborhood as many great restaurants, which is incredibly convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!

We’re a family of three and this place worked wonderfully for us. Walking distance to all the spots you ought to visit in Venice. Including the boat transfer to and from the airport. This is not your ordinary black and white shiny hotel but the right one for an enchanting place in Venice. There are seafood places nearby which are 4+ rating and above. Will be back here when we get another chance at Venice! This is the view from our window.
Mervs P — Google review
The room was very authentic and fun. The hotel has no elevator, but I knew beforehand. The service was excellent. You have to check in at the hotel down the street, and they were very nice. Bed was a bit hard, but not unbearable. The bathroom was very good. Something the room could use is new pillows. You can buy great pillows on Amazon that are inexpensive. The pillows in the room are rock hard. It would change the experience for the better with little investment.

Clean place, decent price, great location. Lots of food and drink places nearby, and easy to get to everywhere in Venice from here, either by walking or the vaporettos. Weird vibes in the rooms that I normally wouldn't go for, but in Venice it seemed right (plush walls, big chandelier, etc). No view but that's okay, you get enough of that just walking around. Only complaint was that there wasn't a shower, only a bathtub with a nozzle that you could spray around.

Extremely friendly staff. Great location, near St Mark, however a bit hidden and quiet. Good restaurant just near. Rooms perfectly clean. The lobby and main interior very stylisty. For Venice, good value for money.

We love La Residenza and have stayed here 3 times. It is located in a beautiful 15th century palace on a quiet piazza near St. Mark’s. The lobby and dining room have beautiful plasterwork on the walls and ceiling, Murano chandeliers, antique furniture and oriental rugs. The room are comfortable, nicely decorated and have modern bathrooms. The breakfast buffet has expanded since the past and offers plenty of choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We love the beauty of the hotel and its great location. Definitely recommend it and will be coming back. Lovely room with hand-painted furniture, Murano chandelier. Great location. Quiet area.

My wife and i stayed here for about 4 days and we could have have picked a better hotel. The location is fantastic and has a nice local feel. The staff could not have been any nicer and helpful. The rooms were very clean and decorated perfectly for the location and the breakfast was good enough. It is Venice after all!!! We received several great recommendations for dinner from the staff and they were very helpful in general. I highly recommend staying here for your next stay in Venice. I know if I come back, this is where I will be.

What a little beauty! We came on a birthday trip to Venice and the staff been extremely helpful even with the planning of a surprise! Great location, great room, comfortable and clean, delicious breakfast! Superb experience!

Such a great location! A short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The square next to the hotel is one of the best in Venice. Enough people to make it interesting but not ever crowded. The courtyard in front of the hotel entrance is also fantastic. Rooms were VERY clean and though small, very well appointed. The staff and management here were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They really made us feel at home. We can't wait to come back.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and we often talk about how special this hotel made our time in Venice. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by staff. The hotel is small, incredibly clean and nestled in a quiet courtyard. Each day we returned to a spotless room with fresh linens and towels, which were appreciated after long days of exploring. We loved starting our day with breakfast in the courtyard in front of the hotel and complimentary Prosecco in the evenings with a rooftop view. But what really set this place apart was the staff. Every person we interacted with was kind, friendly and sincerely thoughtful. Their local recommendations helped us discover some truly memorable spots that we may have otherwise missed. On our final day, we had a very early train to catch, and the staff prepared a breakfast tray just for us - a small gesture which meant a lot. We loved our stay and recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Venice.
Katelyn — Google review
I don't know where to start. The bedroom was small but comfortable. The owner provided us a bottle of prosecco to enjoy on the roof terrace of his neighbouring hotel (too many steps for one in our party) so we enjoyed it on the patio instead. Always willing to provide free bottles of water. It's easy to say that if we returned to Venice this is the place we'd look to stay. Close to the main piazzas, Rialto and you felt really looked after. Oh and breakfast served on the patio, yes please.
Mark M — Google review
Incredible location blocks away from the small squares and a 12-15 min walk to Doge’s Palace and St. Mark's. The staff is personable and welcoming. While their English is broken, you are in Italy. 😀 The rooms are quaint, and it’s laid out like a house with several rooms (9 in total). The bathrooms are a bit small, so if you are exceptionally tall, I might consider another option. Each morning, you are treated to a hand-served continental breakfast outside under a nice awning. The menu includes bread, rolls, fruit, yogurt, and, most importantly, specialty coffee!! If you take a taxi, I recommend a private one for ~€60. It will drop you off at Sant Angelos, and the walk was about 5-7 minutes. If you have difficulty walking or have mobility issues, I would consider Venice a challenging city to visit. In all, we loved our stay and hope others experience the same.

Well worth the money. The service was very friendly, the place was clean and I had no problem with the bathroom being in the corridor. Nice breakfast outside with proper coffee. Location was excellent, not too busy but close to everything. Would stay here again! Thank you ❤️
Liisa V — Google review
I stayed here back in Sept ‘22 and thought it was absolutely lovely. I was traveling by myself so I stayed in the small single room with ‘shared’ bathroom across, but I never had any problems with privacy or anyone else using it when I needed to; I think the shared aspect just means it’s where the staff go to use the bathroom. The single room was small but quite comfortable. There was a little sink in the room which was great for getting ready in the morning, and a bathrobe provided which was really nice because the bathroom was across the hall. My only little complaint about the room was that the AC dripped, but honestly I consider that a small price to pay for it working consistently over my week long stay. The staff were friendly and very kindly let me store my bags by the reception desk because my flights arrived before the normal check-in time and left after the standard check-out time. The location was also great; I found it easy to do stuff in the morning, walk back to the hotel to refresh myself after lunch, and then go out again for the afternoon. If you do book here (and you should!) do it through the official website instead of a third party; the prices are better.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. My favorite things are the quality of hospitality, wonderful breakfast and amazing view of the church in front of the hotel. We were late at the last check-in time, but the hotel staff is so kind to wait until 20 minutes after 11 p.m., and they even helped us to book a water taxi for our early flight. We are so grateful for all the kindness and service we received. Above all, the trip to Venice is really a beautiful memory for me.

Venissa is an upscale restaurant located in Mazzorbo, offering elegant Venetian dishes made with locally sourced ingredients from reclaimed vineyards. The restaurant provides contemporary takes on Lagoon ingredients, adding little twists to classic dishes. Vegetarian options are also available, such as ricotta gnudi with spinach and eggplant cotoletta.
Brilliant Michelin-starred restaurant on Mazzorbo, just a short walk across a bridge away from the crowds and so-so eateries of Burano. Great service and wonderful food, enjoying wine from the vineyard that we were overlooking from the terrace of their "Osteria". A most excellent lunch was had.

We booked the ristorante and a ten course menu with pairing. Was nothing short of amazing! Very nice setting, super friendly staff, who explained us everything in detail and were super keen to answer any questions. Really appreciated that, especially because the restaurant was busy. Food was like poetry and the concept is great too. Makes you wonder how we can reduce food waste and live more sustainable. Highly recommend this experience!

I proposed to my girlfriend in the vineyard here and the staff were so amazing and gracious. We did the private boat with 10 course lunch. Absolutely stunning, beautiful wines and then a drink at the outdoor bistro afterwards. This is a special place and we’ll be back. Thank you

We came back after 6 years to celebrate, and we were amazed by what cheffe Pavan and chef Brutto have done to the menù. Their approach to cuisine is remarkable and they crafted amazing dishes leveraging invasive species and avoiding waste. Amazing. Highlight for us were the cappelletti, which tasted like Xiao lon bao and the blue crab, star of the show.

Wonderfully unique wines and amazing staff, this place is an absolute gem. From the amazing story to the sustainable and community driven aspects of the winery, I couldn't have more respect for for this amazing place and all the people who contribute. I feel absolutely privileged to even try their wines much less step foot on these grounds.

I truly enjoyed this experience. I booked to include the boat ride to the restaurant. The boat was late and no one could reach the restaurant so I thought communication could have been improved on that. I booked the chef's table as I thought I would get more interaction with the chefs, but there was almost no interaction. I was the only person sitting up there, as no one else booked that experience. I felt a little awkward but that is of no fault to the restaurant. I just wanted someone to talk to, as I went alone. I did get to see some of the behind scenes of plating the dishes, but that was the only perk of booking that particular experience. I honestly would've preferred to sit alone at my own table. This is a sustainable Michelin restaurant, so some of the dishes were... unique. Most of them were delicious but there were a few that were not my taste whatsoever. I thought the beverage pairing was pretty good. They mixed different drinks in there - not just wine - and also had a mocktail. I did have another tasting menu experience in Venice that was cheaper and better, but less courses. Overall it was an interesting experience and one I would recommend for a one-time try. I thought the price was reasonable enough for the number of courses and beverage pairings.
Sara C — Google review
Incredible gastronomic experience on the island of Mazzorbo, just outside Venice. Not our first Michelin-starred restaurant, but definitely one of the most memorable. We went all in with the 10-course tasting menu and wine pairing and honestly, if I could give 6 out of 5, I would. From the moment we arrived through the garden, the tone was set. They grow their own vegetables, fish their own seafood, everything is local, seasonal, and treated with real creativity. The theme was fish, and it was beautifully carried throughout the entire menu. We started with refreshing cocktails, then dove into a series of plates that surprised and delighted us. It was technically 10 courses, but we were served more than that, without ever feeling overwhelmed. Each plate was small, perfectly portioned, and full of nuance. The first entrée was stunning, both in presentation and taste. It featured raw shellfish served in beautiful open shells, with vibrant touches of yellow, blue, and green that reminded us of Murano glass. It was like being served a piece of art. One of my personal favourites was a dish built around sweet peas so fresh, delicate, and beautifully executed. And a cucumber-based dessert that totally blew my mind: light, surprising, and incredibly flavourful. One of the most original desserts I’ve ever had. The sourdough bread and kefir butter deserve their own paragraph. That butter had the texture of frosting (minus the sugar), and it was so good I almost cried when they took it away. If I’d been braver, I would’ve asked for a doggy bag to bring the leftovers home. The wine pairings were just as thoughtful, ten drinks, but with great balance. At least three were non-alcoholic (kombuchas or other creative options), which added variety without overwhelming us. And yes, our 15-year-old was with us and tasted everything. He loved it all. We were seated right in front of the kitchen, which gave us a view of the calm precision of the team plating each dish. The timing of the whole evening was flawless, despite the fact that everyone arrived around the same time and not everyone had the same menu. I don’t know how they pulled it off, but it was seamless. Yes, it’s a pricey meal. But for us, this was the kind of evening you remember for years… absolutely worth it.

We found out about the restaurant after seeing Chef Pavan several times on Masterchef Italia. We went to the Osteria. We got the tasting menu and a wine pairing (we also added a Spaghettone al Granchio Blu). All of the dishes were delicious, with a wide range of flavours that were all perfectly balanced. The use of km0 ingredients, and ingredients that are often discarded, or are invasive species, makes for a special meal. The wines were all very good, two of them were their own production, and all exalted the dish they were accompanying. Looking forward to returning and trying the restaurant as well.

The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Venice, offers sophisticated rooms and suites in a palatial setting along the canal. The hotel features an elegant restaurant and terrace, providing guests with stunning views of the Grand Canal and the lagoon city. It is renowned for its enthralling vistas of iconic landmarks such as Punta Della Dogana and Santa Maria Della Salute Basilica.
Dreamy hotel in the heart of Venice. We had a Venetian suite, which looks like a fairytale room. Upon entering, we were greeted by a huge and gorgeous fresh arrangement of the most beautiful blush pink roses I have ever seen. Also, a luxurious box of chocolates in hand made paper. The bathroom included luxe Aqua di Parma amenities. The location is perfect and right on the canal. The staff members were outstanding. We also enjoyed the lobby/lounge areas and browsing through the large signature book that holds entries from all kinds of celebrities through the decades. This is a dream stay in Venice!
E.Faria — Google review
Gritty Palace is supposed to be one of the great hotels of Europe. The truth is the hotel is overrated and overpriced. The concierge was rude abrupt and sometimes gave bad information. I think some of the staff feel a bit self important. Had lunch in the restaurant I paid $60 for a chicken club sandwich on toast that was soggy. Virtually any diner in the world would have served a better Club sandwich. I would suggest that you consider other hotel options in Venice givien the very high cost of a room, which is better than average, but not great.
Saul J — Google review
The hotel is stunning, but unfortunately we were not allowed to enjoy a drink as we were not staying there. The bar was nearly empty, yet we were told it was fully booked. Even the lobby, which was completely quiet, was off-limits. Having worked extensively with luxury hospitality around the world, I find it disappointing that one cannot even have a coffee to experience and appreciate the atmosphere of the hotel. A guest coming for a coffee might well book a room on their next visit — but because of this policy and experience, they won’t.

An outstanding hotel! We visited Venice in low season and the hotel was therefore, not too busy. The staff at this beautiful old gem are wonderful. We arrived at the hotel very early and thanks to the amazing housekeeping staff, we were able to have our room within minutes of arrival (and we're so grateful for that after a 3am start that day!). The bar with its wonderful terrace on the canal is a divine place for cocktails. We could have spent hours there just watching the world literally floating by. Our room was perfect for our short stay with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was a dream and I recommend going down early to enjoy the peace and make the most of the attentive service. The reception team provided us with the most enjoyable check-in and check-out experiences.

We came to The Gritti Palace to begin celebrating our wedding anniversary, and from the very first moment we felt truly special. We were warmly welcomed and escorted to reception, where we were immediately seated, offered water, and informed about a wonderful surprise awaiting us. What followed was simply unforgettable – an absolute highlight that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Everything was perfect! The service was not only fast but flawless. A heartfelt thank you to the General Manager and especially to Romina at the reception – she is a true queen of her craft, with a magical ability to create memorable experiences. The next morning we were congratulated again, treated to a delightful breakfast, and sent off with such genuine care. Absolute world-class hospitality! Truly superb in every way.

I went to the Gritti palace restaurant for food and drinks. The view was phenomenal and the drinks were great. I am leaving 3 stars because there was a lady with a captive falcon there for "entertainment". Not sure what that was supposed to add to the ambience. It just made me feel sad. Such beautiful birds should be flying in the skies, not chained to someone for people's entertainment. It completely ruined my experience and left me feeling sad.
Gaytri G — Google review
Having stayed here previously and finding it to be an absolutely first-class hotel with the very best staff and service, we decided to go back for cocktails and dinner this year to celebrate my birthday. Upon entering the bar area we were informed that without a reservation we couldn’t sit on the terrace as it was full (8 tables were empty). Having left in disgust, my wife returned to just see if we could reserve a table for dinner that night. She was told “you’ve left it too late. No, sorry”. Marriott have managed to destroy this once wonderful institution by employing the rudest, least-polite staff I’ve come across. What a shambles it is now.

The hotel's convenient location allows for easy access to Venice's attractions, with St Mark's Square just a short walk away.
Amazing experience at this hotel!!! We stayed for one night when Redentore firework show was happening. Owner told us everything about the event, also where to make reservations, etc… The view of the canal is just so beautiful, info for movie fans, you overlook an “Indiana Jones” scene straight across the canal, so that is added bonus. From the window is visible Santa Maria della Salute, I would say probably best view in Venice. Very clean room, with high quality bed sheets. The bathroom is also very clean and nice. Perfect english on reception, easy check in, fast check out. I would recommend this to anyone that wants authentic Venice experience. Perfect location near the main area with easy access. Thanks again to the hotel staff for everything. We will return here for sure in the future.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Galleria. The Room, while somewhat small, was clean and beautiful. We had a nice view of the Academia bridge and Canal. The owners/operators were very kind and courteous, and made it very easy to check in even after their operating hours. The location is amazing, and I would recommend spending some time on that side of the bridge before heading over to the main attractions in Venice. We walked around the area and found some great off-the-beaten-path restaurants and pubs, etc, without the crowds. There is a water bus stop right outside by the bridge as well so it is very convenient to get around. Would stay again.

We booked through a third party and did not expect that our private bathroom for room #3 would be an entire hallway away. We also found the door unlocked after cleaning, which made us feel odd about leaving things in there. I got locked inside the bathroom because the lock literally fell off, and the staff member just said “okay I’ll fix it” with no real condolences that I had to call to be let out by sliding the key under the door. The room was small (couldn’t fit through the door with our backpacks on) and noisy from bridge traffic, and the staff member that we interacted with was fine but not as wonderful as I expected from reading other reviews. We did enjoy the location and understand we chose a less expensive room, but we wished we went with a standard hotel room for a similar price honestly.

Hotel Belle Arti is a charming 3-star hotel located in Venice City Center, just 1.53km from the city center. The hotel offers sophisticated and ornate rooms, some of which have been newly renovated with lovely bedding, showers, and heaters. Guests can enjoy a courtyard garden as well as a 24-hour bar and breakfast buffet. The location is ideal for exploring Venice, with easy access to the water bus pier and nearby attractions.
Very clean. Very helpful staff. Quaint hotel with a charming patio, situated in a quiet area of the city. 1 min walk away from the Gran Canal, and handy for the main sights. The breakfast bar doesn’t have a great selection, and offers exactly the same every day, but everyone can find something they will like. A special mention to the ladies who make the coffee and keep the breakfast area well-stocked; they really do make the whole thing flow smoothly.

This hotel was good and near many good places, but the reason why I took out one star was because of its breakfast options. My family and I are strictly vegetarian, and we can't eat egg and mushroom. When we booked the hotel we wrote our dietary requirements and when we got there all we could eat was bread and milk. Other than this, the hotel was amazing because of its view, the customer service, the rooms, and many more. I definitely recommend going, but I would say to double check the food options if you have any requirements.

The location was excellent — very central and convenient for walking around the city and reaching the train station. The reception staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help, which I truly appreciated. However, the room itself was disappointing. It wasn’t properly cleaned, and there was a noticeable smell of dust and mold, which made the stay uncomfortable. On top of that, the door didn’t lock securely, which made me feel uneasy during my stay. Cleanliness and safety are very important to me, so I have to take off a few stars for these issues. Overall, the location and staff were great, but the rooms definitely need better maintenance and attention.

Great location with easy access to water taxis! Rooms small but typical for Europe, they were clean, AC worked. Staff - a couple of the staff members were excellent, however, there were a 3 that come to mind that clearly didn't like tourists and/or Americans - - they were rude and not helpful with questions. The bar wasn't well stocked (no rum) and the front desk person was covering the that and the bar. Nice buffet!

Perfect location and very friendly staff. Outside place for breakfast and dinner is fantastic. One tip: Try to resolve the presence of many wasps. Wasp catchers and turning devices on the tables. The air-conditioning is not cooling sufficiently. The restaurant is offering very good quality food.
Marjan D — Google review
Perfect location when you arrive with vaporetto to Zattere (from airport, car park, main station). Our room smelled a bit odd but we had 2 balcony doors to get enough fresh air in. The bed sheets had a stain on one side and the floor was a bit dusty and sandy towards the edges and balcony doors. Bath room really nice, new and clean. Breakfast was ok but nothing special, unfortunately the worst coffee I had during our entire Italy trip.
Samira A — Google review
It's a room...a very small room. A/C worked. Getting the keys was a bit of a challenge, you have to walk to another hotel to check in. Room was clean. Breakfast in the morning was a pleasant surprise. It was delicious. You can also leave your bags in a room on the honor system. For 1 night it was ok.
Lizett D — Google review
I chose this because I'd seen the attractive garden on previous vists to Venice, had heard and read that it had been completely refurbished. Unfortunately the later is not true - the bathrooms have been refurbished, but without bidets. However this is a hotel which has proprietors that exploit the premises for money but reinvest nothing. Except for one delightful cleaner the staff are unwelcoming, indifferent and at times hostile and plain rude. The rooms are clean but tiny. The decor is very tired - see the marks on the headboard. Hardly any room for two suitcases! No chair as I recall. Breakfast was so bad that we went elsewhere - fine if you like tinned fruit and nescafe, croissants unpleasant. The garden is a lovely zone and has black rattan tables and settees under the eaves/portico. Unfortunately the black rattan is severely broken - for god's sake, they don't cost much - just replace them! To cap it all, they charged me twice and I'm still waiting after 10 days for the refund to come through on my credit card!

Hotel Abbazia is a wonderful hotel in Venice with allergy-free rooms and a courtyard. It is situated just 1.4 km from the ornate covered 16th-century stone footbridge 'Rialto Bridge'. The staff are always full of smiles and speak fluent English, which is not always the case in Venice.
We had a wonderful stay! The hotel staff are so lovely and helpful, and the front desk staff speak multiple languages (at least English, Spanish, French, and Italian). The breakfast buffet is fantastic, which we enjoyed in the serene courtyard. I was with a group of three other people, and we all stayed in one hotel room. The room was very spacious and included four comfortable beds, two showers, and two sinks. It was also air-conditioned, which was so nice after walking in the summer heat. The hotel is a three minute walk from the train station, but it’s tucked away on a little side street, so you don’t hear the hubbub from the train station and water taxi stops. You can easily walk to other areas of Venice from the hotel, and the water taxis are a two minute walk from the hotel if that’s more your speed. I highly recommend staying here.

Located right in Venice. It is only 5 mins from the train station so great option for those who need a hotel the night before to head to Trieste to jump on the cruise ships the next morning. The rooms were clean and the AC worked well. The classical decor of the hotel was lovely to look at. The included breakfast was the stand out. Great variety of foods to choose from. We ate in the inner courtyard which was beautiful. Would go there again for sure.

I would definitely recommend this place. Right next to Santa Lucia station, the location is quite convenient to get from/to both airports quite easily. The rooms are not massive but big enough and are equipped with all you will need for a few days in Venice. Same for the breakfast, more than enough, with salty and sweet options, coffees, teas... Staff is amazingly kind, able to speak in several languages and the place is very clean and tidy.

Hotel Abbazia is a charming mid-size hotel. The entrance is located in a quiet alley. It's righr near the water bus station and Santa Lucia Train Station. The hotel is nicely converted from a former monastery. It has a spacious, tastefully decorated lounge with a relaxing vibe. The pretty courtyard garden is precious in Venice. All the front desk people are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. I felt that the cook prepared it with great care. I especially loved their many salad varieties. I and my friends enjoyed our stay in Hotel Abbazia very much. We highly recommend it!

Very nice and practical hotel, located 2 minutes away from the train station, vaporetto station, and 30 minutes away (walking) from the main touristic attractions. One striking detail is the height of the rooms and the hotel floors in general. The hotel preserves it's history (former monastery in 19th century), but refurbished for the modern times. It also has a very nice inner courtyard garden. We had a family room with 4 beds, at the second floor. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast is spectacular, surpassing regular 3-star hotels. Besides the regular (ham, omlettes, etc), they have custom-made sandwiches and other pastries. We stayed for 2 days, and every day they were different. The staff is very kind, helpful and friendly.
Alexandra P — Google review
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a fantastic experience right from the start. The staff members were very welcoming and always ready to help. The hotel’s proximity to the train station is fantastic. The outside of the building doesn’t do it justice - it’s beautiful inside, with a serene garden space where we chose to eat our breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken wings (must be an Italian thing), pancakes, variety of other options and breakfast staples. Our room was updated and it has everything we needed. Plenty of space for 3 people. While there was no way to control the temperature inside the room (and it was quite hot outside during our stay), the central air was very adequate and the room temperature was great. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for lodging in Venice, especially if distance to the train station and comfortable sleeping arrangements are needed.
Yuliya W — Google review
Great location. We stayed 5 nights in a great room. Spa bath was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast choices were fantastic. Fresh and plenty of variety. Scrambled eggs a favourite. All staff were super friendly and most spoke English. We got on very well with them. The only downside is that there is no on-site ironing. You would need to send to a laundry. We would differently recommend this Hotel.

Hotel Canaletto is a luxurious accommodation located in the former home of an 18th-century painter. The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms, with great attention to detail such as providing toiletries and towels according to the number of guests. The staff, particularly Igor and Marco, are friendly and accommodating, offering helpful tips for exploring the area.
The breakfast was out of this world! Delicious coffee, eggs, yummy pastries. The room was quiet, and clean. The power went out right before we checked out, which was inconvenient, however the staff was very accommodating. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place.

Great hotel, excellent location near everything but not noisy at night. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The complementary cold water to refill our water bottles was much appreciated. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would happily stay here again.

As far as hotels in Venice go, it’s not bad. Our reception was welcoming. The room is cute, but if you look closely you see stained wallpaper, cracked tiles, a safe that doesn’t work. It was a decent place to stay for the budget, but we didn’t spend much time inside. If luxury is what you’re after, keep searching. If straightforward and satisfactory is enough, go for it.
O K — Google review
Very quaint cute little hotel. About 5 minute walk from the ferry stop so be ready to lug your suitcases over some stairs and uneven cobblestones. Breakfast was really good, was packed though, almost no where to sit. Rooms were very clean but very small. Definitely not somewhere to hang out, but great just to sleep. The tv is really small and was on the side of the bed so not sure how that works haha. Bathroom also very small but water pressure was great. Service was great. Very walkable to the city.

The staff at Hotel Canaletto were warm, helpful, and kind. I felt bad when I had to wake one of them so I could let my husband in when he arrived at 1:30 am. They were very kind and professional despite the hour. Hotel Canaletto was a perfect refuge in Venice. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Had a fabulous stay here. Friendly helpful staff and very authentic hotel. Down a few alleyways to get there - very quiet so had a great night sleep. Excellent location near water ferry stop Rialto and only 5 min stroll to St Marks Square. The breakfast was a highlight for us-thank you for a great stay.

1. So I left some bags at the hotel and they got stolen, I admit it’s my fault for not locking them away but one of the receptionists (older man) decided to give many unsolicited comments and started blaming me, when all I tried to do was ask if there’s a CCTV or something. 2. He also decided to say things like ‘your country definitely exploits tourism more than Venice and I hope we never become like that’ 3. The safe in the room couldn’t be used as the key could not be located 4. Couldn’t really draw the curtains as well as they were jammed But aside from all that the other lady receptionist was pretty nice and it’s a good location.

Hotel Antiche Figure is a boutique hotel housed in a historic 15th-century palazzo with stunning views of the Grand Canal. It's conveniently located across from the train station and offers recently remodeled Venetian-style guest rooms with free WiFi. Guests praise the outstanding hospitality provided by the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The hotel also offers easy access to transportation, delicious breakfast, and even includes a taxi to visit the Murano glass factory.
Stayed in Hotel Antiche Figure from 14 Aug to 16 Aug 2025. The hotel is located very close to the train station. Just have to cross the bridge and walk a few meters and you are there. When we reached the hotel, we were greeted very warmly by the front desk. Check in was a breeze. The room is very cozy. Feel very relaxed when in it. Sadly the TV does not have any English channels. In fact all the hotels during my Italy trip are the same. Staff : All are super friendly. Super helpful when you have any questions or help needed Room : Cozy and clean. Breakfast : good spread. Almost towards the end of breakfast services, the table ran out of plain croissant. I casually asked if they still have it and they immediately baked a fresh batch. Love the croissant. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Venezia again

Our stay at Hotel Antiche Figure was wonderful! The staff were warm and hospitable, treating us like family and making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The view from our room was breathtaking—we had a Grand Canal view right from the window, which made the stay even more special. The room was clean and decorated in a charming classical Venetian style. We also loved the complimentary breakfast buffet, and their cappuccino was absolutely amazing. A truly welcoming hotel that makes Venice even more magical!

Absolutely perfect hotel in Venice, we loved it here. Lovely, friendly staff. Fantastic location a 2/3 minute walk from the main train station. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Breakfast was included and stunning - spoilt for choice. An absolutely superb base for exploring Venice. I cannot understand the 3* official rating; I've stayed in 5* that couldn't hold a candle to Hotel Antiche Figure. (Fun fact for non-natives: Antiche is pronounced an-TEE-keh; not ant-EESH ) We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Venezia, it's a superb hotel and very highly recommended. Grazie

A Gem in the Heart of Venice. From the moment we stepped into Hotel Antique Figure, we knew we’d found something special. Tucked in a perfect spot just steps from the bustle yet blissfully serene, the location couldn’t have been better for exploring Venice on foot. What truly set this stay apart was the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our trip memorable. Nothing felt scripted; every interaction was personal and thoughtful, from the front desk recommendations to the seamless in-room breakfast service each morning. Speaking of breakfast it was delivered piping hot to our door, it was a daily delight – fresh fruit and pastries, perfect espresso, and local touches that started each day with a smile. The room itself was a standout: spacious, elegantly appointed with antique-inspired decor that felt authentic rather than gimmicky, and impeccably clean. High ceilings, soft linens, and a view that framed the canal just right – it was the kind of space you never want to leave. The cherry on top? The complimentary tour to a Murano glass factory, arranged effortlessly by the hotel. Watching the masters at work and learning the island’s centuries-old craft was a highlight we hadn’t even planned for. Hotel Antique Figure isn’t just a place to stay – it’s an experience. We left Venice already planning our return. Highly recommend!

This was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! The staff were so kind and attentive, and they made AMAZING coffee. I’ve never had so many cappuccinos in my life. We arrived early after a 9-hour overnight flight, and they had both of our rooms ready so fast! We just had an overall great experience at Hotel Antiche Figure and in Venice. And the hotel was so conveniently located! Would recommend over and over.

Arrived at the Venice airport and took the Alilaguna water shuttle to the Guglia stop. Then had to do a bag drag over two bridges before getting to the hotel. We chose this hotel for each proximity to the train station, which was across the street. The area was not as busy as the more touristy parts of the city and at no time did we feel unsafe, even when wandering through the residential parts of the city. The hotel service was excellent. The front desk was staffed 24 hours a day. Everyone was exceedingly polite. The room had a great view of the canal. The bed was fine and the bathroom had excellent hot water. The room was very clean and there was available daily room service which we did not use. The price included breakfast and specialty coffee drinks. Would highly recommend this hotel for its relatively quiet location, but with quick access to the water bus and train station across the street.

I just spent 3 nights at Hotel Antiche Figure on my first trip to Venice. I had almost 24 hours of travel getting there, so I was a little apprehensive that I would spend a lot of time wandering in the dark to find my Hotel. Not at all! They provided directions in advance which allowed me to locate them within minutes. The location is absolutely ideal.. Lots to do in the area, but away from the long walk and crowded alleys of St. Mark's Square. The view was amazing. There was beautiful seating outside facing the canal and the staff were fantastic in allowing you to sit there, as well as bringing out snacks! The rooms were very large and spacious (at least mine was) and had everything I could want. If there was one down side - there is only a single electrical outlet. And this was located by the desk, away from the bed. It took some creativity to keep all my gadgets charged. The hotel even took me to Murano by boat - at no charge. And it was a nice boat and on my schedule. I also was given a full bottle of Prosecco to enjoy while I watched the canal as the sun went down. I can't say enough about the service, location and quality of this location. I only left this morning, checked into a new modern hotel in Milan. But - I miss the cozy quality and service of Hotel Antiche Figure. I hope to be back with my husband. Grazie!

If you're looking for an opulent hotel in a historic setting, look no further than Hotel Palazzo Paruta. Not only do they offer plush bedrooms and suites, but also canal views and complimentary breakfast. If you're a fan of antique decor, then you'll love the Wellness Suites inside of the palace.
We spent a night at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety to choose from, including freshly made scrambled eggs or fried eggs, and waffles with fruit. All the staff were very polite, and we felt very welcome. Unfortunately, one of our rooms had a strong smell of mold, but there was an air purifier that helped a bit. The hotel could use some renovation, but that’s just a minor detail. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay ❤️

The most beautiful hotel tucked away but so easily accessible. The staff are so wonderful everyone was so friendly and accommodating. This was our first time to Venice and there’s so much more we would like to have done we will definitely be coming back. I rarely like to stay in the same places and enjoy experiencing new things but I think we would come back here to stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Venice. From the entrance you feel the beauty this hotel has to offer.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of Venice, just a short walk from Piazza San Marco and close to many of the city’s most beautiful sights and districts. We stayed in one of the apartments next door, which was beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated – a perfect mix of historic Venetian charm and modern comfort. The little kitchen had everything one needs for basic cooking, and the terrace was a real highlight! Enjoying our morning coffee or an evening spritz surrounded by the sounds of Venice – neighbors chatting, gondoliers singing – was simply magical. The beds were very comfortable (not too hard, not too soft), and we slept wonderfully. The reception staff were outstanding – friendly, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations. On our first evening, they even helped us find an amazing restaurant nearby. The only minor issue was the room service, which checked on our apartment only once during our stay, so we almost ran out of toilet paper. I’m sure the team would have fixed it right away if we’d called, but we were too busy enjoying everything Venice had to offer! All in all, this was the perfect home base for exploring the city – full of Italian flair and comfort. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family without hesitation.

Great hotel with a wonderful buffet breakfast each day. Staff go out of their way to help, and special mention to the barman who knows much about the city of Venice (also has great recommendations for local food). Only downside for us was that our first floor room struggled with internet connectivity (rest of the hotel worked fine). Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was wonderful. Perfect location. Could have used a little more room to unpack for 4 days but not a huge deal. Staff was so welcoming and kind. Best part was the bar and bartender. Have been I. Venice, Florence and Rome and our favorite evenings were spent with Soho and a glass of wine.
Janie S — Google review
Excellent experience, considering this a first visit to Venice. I would call or email the front office to setup a porter and a private water taxi. I did this for check out and it was money well-spent. The apartment room was great, but air conditioning was weak in the bed room. Andrea at the front desk is the man. He provided a superb service for us and took care of any problems with efficiency and urgency. The best hotel front desk personnel I have met in Europe.

Found this hotel through Costco Travel. Very easy to get to from the train station (approximately a 25 minute walk). Super easy to walk to Piazza San Marco from the hotel. Excellent onsite breakfast and Bar. The bartender was sociable, informative, and had excellent drink recommendations. The room was okay, bed was too hard/pillows were too flat for my tastes. Unfortunately the power in the room is tied to your room key, so AC/outlets don't function when you are not there made it a manageable hassle. I would recommend staying here to friends/family.

I cannot begin to tell you how satisfied we are with our stay at Hotel Palazzo Parruta. The location is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond. I have never seen anything like this. We stayed at Hotel Santa Marina for two nights in June 2025. The location is central and within walking distance to many places. Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t live up to expectations. It felt quite dated and could really use some updates and maintenance to feel more comfortable. Our experience with the front desk staff was mixed. One blonde woman with dark-framed glasses was incredibly helpful and pleasant, she really stood out in a good way. On the other hand, the tall man with dark curly hair was quite the opposite. When we asked about a rooftop terrace, he simply said “no,” without any explanation. A more helpful response would have been to direct us to the terrace beside the hotel. Thankfully, another staff member, the bell boy — an Asian man with dark hair and dark-framed glasses, was also friendly and approachable, which we appreciated. Overall, despite the convenient location and some helpful staff, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the underwhelming room quality and inconsistent service.
Yonie C — Google review
We truly loved staying here. The old charm of the building and the rooms was so cozy and felt like you were at home. The staff were always there to ensure you knew the best places to go, book things for you, etc. We had the breakfast during our stay and the ladies that served us were the best, not to mention the food always fresh. The front desk individuals, again so kind and generous. It’s a shorty walk to everything in the city, no longer than 5-10.

We have just stayed in this hotel last week 3rd/4th sept 2025. The hotel is in a very good location close to get to all the popular locations people wish to visit. But the room we had was at the back of the hotel in the basement, very dark ,small in need of updating and maintenance. the breakfast was ok . The breakfast room has no natural light and the one morning the fans had not been turned on, so was very warm. The staff did what they needed to do, but not openly friendly, there to do a job approach. I would say this hotel is a 3 star hotel and would advise not to use the basement bedrooms .

Didn't know that there's another hotel inside here, which goes into the same booking. The staff here couldn't care less at all about providing good treatment, the treatment is almost borderline brewed with racial undertone. Room was good, albeit maze-like ways to get to the room. and they were also quite unresponsive with many days leading up to my check in.
H M — Google review
For the price you are paying for a double bed room here, feels like a bit of a rip off. Our room was right next to the alley which had people smoking and drinking next to eat night. The shower/bath leaked our first day and they said they could move us the next day. We asked if they could at least bring more towels to deal with flooded bathroom and they said sure only for us to have to go back 2 more times to have them come and address it properly. The concierge seemed upset that we were unconvincing him. When we checked out they did not apologize for this issue or try and do anything to accommodate. We would not have been upset if they simply apologized and helped just clean the bathroom the first time.

Great view of the Piazza and nice and quiet. Comfortable rooms and a great water taxi ride as you get in to the city

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. Rooms a way smaller than they look like in the pictures. In the rooms there’s no kettle, tea, coffee.. absolutely nothing, not even a complimentary bottle of water! In the bathroom there were no sanitary bags either. We have requested if it was possible to iron a shirt with 2 days notice for an event and the answer was pretty disappointing! They really have no additional service other than bed and breakfast. Quite disappointing for a 4 star. The price definitely doesn’t match the service. On the other hand the location is very good: 10min walk from Piazza San Marco in a very quiet area. There is also a mini market just across the street which I highly recommend to purchase water. Breakfast was nice with a selection of cold meats and fresh pastries and cakes.

We stayed at Albergo Marin from August 5–7 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a perfect location—quiet and peaceful, yet very close to the bus and train stations, which made traveling so easy. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the outdoor sitting area was very cute and cozy. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the breakfast—it was buffet style with plenty of delicious options. The lady serving breakfast was so friendly and welcoming, which made us feel truly cared for. Overall, this hotel felt like a calm retreat away from the busy city. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return to Albergo Marin in the future!

The hotel is very nice, and very comfortable. it is nearby a lot of cute places, including a couple pizzerias and cafes that has spectacular food. it is fairly close to transportation, and is in a walkable area, but is not close to any main attractions of Venice. I would recommend going though, because the service is excellent and friendly, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I unfortunately sick during my time in Venice, but I was still able to enjoy my time at the hotel, and I am glad I stayed where I did. its a good place to be sick and tired, and an even better place to be well and happy

A beautiful hotel, a wonderful location which was easy to access with lots of beautiful sights around, with absolutely 10/10 service. Staff are incredibly friendly and take the time to speak things through with you and to make your holiday enjoyable and always say hello :) The only (slight) downside was that the room was slightly chilly as we entered October/November with heating controlled throughout the whole building so couldn’t be switched on. However, the staff were happy to offer extra blankets and such which helped massively.

We had an amazing stay at Albergo Marine Hotel in Venice! The service was phenomenal from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond, not only were they incredibly friendly, but they also gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and must-see sites around town. We arrived much earlier than expected, and they kindly accommodated us with an early check-in. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and ready for us right away, even though we were 3 hours early. The location is perfect. Close to all the best sights and the price is very reasonable for such a great experience. Highly recommend Albergo Marine Hotel and would definitely come back again!

Excellent location — very close to the train station and public transport stops, making it super easy to get to and from the airport (even at 4 a.m.). The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help with any questions.

The hotel was in a great location about a 5-min walk from the train station and away from all of the crowds of San Marco. There was a gondola station less than a 5-minute walk away and you could get to almost any part of Venice in 15-minutes. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly.

Just perfect. Excellent hotel. Friendly professional staff. A wonderful choice of food for breakfast. Matteo made us a coffee when we arrived at 10.00pm. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Terrible hotel. It's location is all it has going for it. It calls itself 4*. I would struggle to give it 2*s. Our first room was a disaster. Shower barely functioned. Carpets patchy. Window mechanism broken. Air conditioning useless. We complained and were given a better room. Better shower. Good air conditioning. Comfy bed. The mini bar consisted of 1 miniature bottle of Jack Daniels. Nothing else. Not even a bottle of water. There is no bar. Well, there is one. But it was closed. We were there for 3 nights. Whatever work was being done on the bar did not progress. The tools did not move an inch! The roof terrace is a joke. No shade. Dirty. No service. Soulless empty space plonked on the roof. Breakfast very disappointing. Reception desk very often unmanned and when it was, the service was, at times, rude and dismissive. Our credit card company is now taking this forward as what we got is definitely not what the hotel sells itself to be.

Reasonable for the price. The breakfast was incredible. However, our room was super loud in the night because it was right on the canal and the staff were not super helpful.

Palace in the name suits this amazing property. The ambiance is outstanding, and the view of the Grand Canal right outside my window was simply breathtaking. The Gondolas and traghetto right outside the front doors made transportation so convenient. I would love the opportunity to stay here again.

Hotel L'Orologio Venezia is a stylish and elegant hotel located in the quiet Castello district of Venice. Housed in a 16th-century palazzo, it offers sleek rooms and suites with canal views. The hotel also boasts a cozy restaurant/bar and a lush garden at the back, providing a serene hideaway in the bustling city. It is known for its family-friendly amenities, including bespoke family rooms and complimentary baby essentials.
To Begin, the Canal truly was a spectacular way to look over from the hotel. Incredible buffet breakfast, that had a wide assortment of treats. Alex was a lovely guy that helped us navigate and get to go to the best restaurants. We loved the first compliments with the room, the fruit plate and the chocolate wafer. Loved the chocolate after we had gone out for dinner, they left a square of chocolate on our bedside table, Loved it! Lovely rooms and lovely service. This is why I have Hotel L’Orologio Venezia a 5 stars, it’s jawdropping!!

Our stay at Hotel L’Orologio Venice was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations. The staff was phenomenal — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The airport pick-up and drop-off service was first class and made arrival and departure seamless. We also loved the breakfast at the hotel — fresh, delicious, and a great way to start the day. The location is perfect: just a short walk to all the major attractions, yet tucked away enough to avoid the heavy crowds. We felt like we were in the heart of Venice without being overwhelmed by tourists. Can’t say enough good things about our time here — would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice!

We loved our stay here. Perfect location; close enough to the Realto Bridge but not in the most dense touristy areas. Water access. Breakfast every morning was excellent. The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. Good showers. Excellent service by everyone we encountered working at the hotel. They also arranged water taxis whenever we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Delightful hotel on the grand canal a short walk from Ponte De Rialto. The staff could not be more helpful and polite. Providing directions, advising on travel as well as arranging dinner reservations for us in equally delightful restaurants. Rooms are clean, with good decor and facilities. It’s quiet and the 3rd floor caught plenty of natural light (March). The room AC was quiet and room temp was very comfortable as was the bed. We stayed 3 nights and there was a good choice for breakfast each day - the fruit tart a favourite of mine - plentiful caffe and a nice selection of fruit and juices. The hotel has a cocktail/wine bar which we had drinks at on 2 nights - usually after we came in from dinner and before we retired for the evening - exhausted from long days absorbing Venezia.

The room & hotel were spectacular. The view of the grand canal was absolutely beautiful. One of the highlights was David at the bar. He was such a fun person to come back to at the end of our days for a nightcap. He knew each of the 6 of us by name and what our drinks were after the first night. And each night was a show watching him craft our drinks with such love for his job. He was definitely a highlight!

Hotel Serenissima is a charming and affordable lodging located in the heart of Venice, just minutes away from St. Mark's Square and the basilica. The hotel features vintage rooms with classic Venetian design elements, such as gold finishes and luxurious textiles. Guests can enjoy a bar, courtyard, free breakfast, and Wi-Fi during their stay. The incredibly friendly staff are available to provide recommendations for exploring the city.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect – right between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square, making it easy to explore Venice on foot. The rooms are small, as is common in Venice, but very well equipped and comfortable. The staff is simply amazing – always ready to help and offer advice whenever needed. We especially appreciated the option to borrow umbrellas on rainy days. Breakfast was excellent, and coffee is freshly made on request. The team kindly carried our luggage up to our room and later offered to bring it back down. Before check-in and after check-out, we were able to store our luggage at the reception, which is open 24/7. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service and a fantastic location in the heart of Venice.

DO NOT stay here. Our room was well over 90 degrees and we had to find another hotel for $200 last minute, NO REFUND! They misrepresented the room with its broken A/C and the manager completely refused to refund us no matter what. We turned on the A/C before we left for the day. When we got back, the room was well over 90 degrees. They told us that the system was broken and instead of A/C it ran the HEAT all day! So we arrive back in our room and it is literally unable to be slept in. While I don't expect it to be cool and chilly air, I certainly don't expect the heat to have run all day and for it to feel like a sauna. I found the manager to be totally immature in resolving this; it was very unfortunate. We specifically booked this hotel for the A/C, and they did not care about the fact that their system was completely broken and we were mislead. They basically told us to deal with it. Truly felt this place was preying on tourists, knowing they can. They misrepresented their amenities and had a faulty system - what they should have done was refund us. Lucky for them we don't care enough to worry about a credit card dispute, so they got our money from us, however it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth when I think of Venice, by how carelessly I felt treated by the manager.

I spent two nights at this wonderfully unique little hotel last October. I loved everything about it. It was elegant in a homey, cozy way, clean and comfortable, breakfast was an amazing array of all sorts of delectables, the staff was helpful and friendly, the location was great. And those arty light fixtures! I hope I can go back some day.

This hotel is perfectly located, central to everything! The staff all went above and beyond to help us; carrying our big rucksacks upto the third floor when it’s 40 degrees, and helping us navigate the Venice streets and boat buses! The breakfast was AMAZING! Only thing stopping from 5* is that our air con was not powerful at all, we had it on the coldest temperature with maximum fan speed and it didn’t really do anything. As we were staying in August and the temperature was boiling, this made the night sleep a bit more difficult. Other than the air con, everything else was perfect!

We were lucky to snag their very last room, which came with a private bathroom just across the hall—turned out to be absolutely perfect. ( all other rooms have en suite)The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated, complete with a sink and bidet. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable, with outlets on both sides, high-quality linens, and excellent toiletries. Both the AC and Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. The 24 hr front desk staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, adding to the charm of our stay. Location is fantastic—just steps from the Rialto vaporetto docks (lines 1 & 2), making it super convenient for getting around Venice. And then there’s the breakfast buffet—honestly one of the best we’ve had. A generous spread of scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, croissant finger sandwiches, whole-wheat rolls, tuna salad, Camembert, fresh tomatoes, homemade pastries, apple strudel, juices, and fruit salad… the list goes on. Every bite was delicious. We’d happily stay here again in a heartbeat

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Serenissima. I loved that it was right in the hustle and bustle of the city. We opened up our shuttered windows and looked down at the shoppers in the alley below. If you are looking for modern luxury, this is not the place for you. This felt like staying in the guest room at your Italian nonna’s house, which is just what we wanted. All of the furniture looked like it had been passed down in your family for generations. There are rooms that have bathrooms in them, but ours was down the hall (we knew this when we booked it). Unfortunately the exhaust fan wasn’t good and since it is our own private bathroom down the hall, it had to be kept closed/locked in between uses. This meant that it was always warm and steamy, not ideal. The towels would not dry out so we left them on the floor so we would receive new dry towels every day. The bathroom was small and the shower tiny. The room was medium sized and had charming furniture, a large bed and armoire. There was a sink in the room. The air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was perfect. Large selection of food. Scrambled eggs, bacon, many types of small sandwiches, pastries, bread, croissants, fruit and juices. The front desk is staffed until midnight. If you arrive back after then, you ring a bell and they let you in. I would have liked to have a washing machine available to use since we couldn’t pack enough clothes for our three week trip.

Located in the artistic neighborhood of Dorsoduro in Venice, Domus Cavanis Hotel offers ornate rooms and a relaxed atmosphere. This budget hotel, which was once a pilgrim inn, is just a short walk from the Galleria dell'Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. While staying here, guests can explore nearby attractions such as the Academia bridge and the church of Santo Stefano. The hotel also features a bar and provides complimentary breakfast for guests.
It is quite good hotel especially for the price they give- 2 min walk to boat bus which literally goes everywhere in Venice. There are some nice restaurants around it. Rooms were also nice for one person and was cleaned every day! I was NOT disappointed Breakfast was included and wasn’t bad either - they have European breakfast with mixed cold and warm options from 7 am! Overall, for a price range you get all these facilities in Venice island is a rare find :)

First of all I am a bit confused on if it is a 2 star hotel or a 3 star hotel because booking.com and google are not on the same page. Since they can’t decide I am going to give it ONE STAR. People have touched on the lack of heating and the state of the rooms I’m going to talk about the breakfast. We thought the fact that breakfast was included would be amazing and we wouldn’t have to worry about getting breakfast. Instead we had to worry about how long we would wait to get a table and how long we would have to wait to get food. This breakfast has a lot more sugar and is a lot less fresh than an American breakfast, I didn’t know that was possible. Every pastry and cake was doused in powered sugar making it even dryer. It would be nice to have some fruit that wasn’t from a can in sugary syrup. The coffee was worse than American coffee. They have a proper espresso machine but instead they would rather employ someone to press a button on a coffee machine that spits out coffee that they should be embarrassed to serve as Italians. You also have to wait ages to get your food as the “buffet” spans 3 tables and people from 30 tables swarm around like pigeons. Stay at another budget hotel that doesn’t have breakfast included and get a breakfast that’s worth eating. Location was the best part but I can’t think of a place in Venice that would be a bad location so I guess they got that right when there was no way of getting it wrong.

It's hard to be upset because the price was right. But the quality of this hotel is pretty upsetting. Reception was nice, and breakfast was fine though sometimes wait if you go after 8am. These are both located at the hotel across the street. Location is good overall. For the actual room, first thing I noticed was the broken light fixture. Other issues, no toilet seat, black mold on the bathroom walls, the showerhead has basically 1 setting and no water pressure. The bed was set up as a queen bed on 1 bed frame, but was actually 2 single mattresses put together with a bed sheet over it. That was the most upsetting to me. The walls are incredibly thin as well. We heard our neighbors coming back and talking for hours at 2am, multiple nights in a row. Would not stay here again.
Jade R — Google review
The location is fantastic, very convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean and had a pleasant smell, which added to the comfort of my stay. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The mattress was not as comfortable as I had hoped, and I was disappointed to find there was no laundry service available. Additionally, make sure windows are closed encountered a few mosquitoes during my stay. Despite these minor issues, I believe the experience was worth the amount I paid. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, ambiance, and prime location.
Lina A — Google review
The rooms are horrible, we had to change rooms 3 times and there were still issues. Our original room didn't lock, the bunk bed didn't have a railing or a ladder, you could roll right off the top, that is if you could get on, the shower door was broken and there was black mold In another one of our rooms, but the bunch bed also didn't rail, one of the beds didn't have a mattress cover, one of the shower doors was completely missing, and there was a vape. the top bunk bed was right up against the wall with the TV, so it was resting on the bed, it was in the way of sleeping and if there was an electrical problem, the bed would have caught on fire. We had to move the mattress to the floor. The hotel also looks and feels haunted, the second floor rooms are completely red, literally everything was red, really ominous and not at all cozy to be sleeping in. The lights in certain corridors don't work, and the floor tiles move. There's also a weirdly realistic sculpture of jesus on the cross at the end of the main corridor. The hotel was basically empty, with 1 staff member running it and so many empty rooms that they could keep movinf us to. The corridors also have the same paintings everywhere. We did not enjoy our stay at all, it was extremely ominous and tiring to keep packing, unpacking and moving. After our trip this week, we will not be coming back

The location is fantastic. You have to do the check in across the street, at Hotel Belle Arti which actually has a reception. Also the breakfast is held at this hotel. The coffee which they serve ar the breakfast is basically from a machine with instant coffee. I couldn't drink it and I was not expecting this in Italy. The breafast is really poor Quality and very few choices. Anyways, coming back to our hotel. It looks like is haunted. Nobody is there, in the old reception. The rooms ar old and kinda dirty, i like only the bathroom.
Cristina P — Google review
No employees present, we had to take our luggage ourselves on top of that the elevator was broken, hotel feels abandoned. They gave us a key to an already occupied room, and we accidentally walked in on someone. The toilet seat is broken, the room is dirty, and the location is terrible. Way too expensive for what it offers. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. Do NOT book here!

Sina Centurion Palace is a chic luxury boutique hotel located at the mouth of the Grand Canal in Venice. Housed in a former convent with a Venetian-Gothic exterior, it offers posh rooms and suites, some with stunning views of the Grand Canal. The hotel's modern interiors beautifully complement its classical architecture. Executive Chef Giancarlo Bellino's philosophy focuses on simple yet deeply respectful cuisine that reflects the style and identity of Sina Centurion Palace.
Our stay at the Sina Centurion Palace was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by this truly lovely hotel. One of the highlights was undoubtedly our room with the grand canal view. Waking up to the serene sights and sounds of Venice right outside our window was an unforgettable experience. The hotel's aesthetics, the art work in the lobby and common areas was captivating, adding to the elegant ambiance. We started off enjoying our evenings with drinks at the Antinoo’s lounge & restaurant before heading out to explore the city. The staff's friendliness truly made us feel welcome. Their attentive and warm demeanor enhanced our entire stay. A particularly touching moment was meeting an Indian lady working at the restaurant. She noticed me and introduced herself, sharing that she had moved to Italy for employment a few years prior. Continental breakfast buffet, included every morning, was a fantastic start to our days. The food was pretty good, offering a satisfying selection before our Venetian adventures. The convenience of the hotel's location was also a major plus. We took a ferry straight from Venice International Airport to the hotel’s entry from the side of the lake. The overall views and location of the Sina Centurion Palace are simply unbeatable. Our time at Sina Centurion Palace was truly a great experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Venice & seeking a charming and welcoming stay.

Our stay at Sina Centurion Palace was definitely worth it. When we first entered the hotel, we were greeted by staffs and a warm welcoming by the grand water entrance. The room however, was a little small at first, but they managed to give us an upgrade to a junior suite which was better than we expected! The room was very clean, the bedsheets were very soft and made us sleep well. They gave us a view of the grand canal in the room we got upgraded to. The next morning, we went to a breakfast buffet, which was packed with warm pastries, cut up fruits, bacon and sausages, and lots more. They even offered us for some drinks like hot chocolate or coffee when we came in. The hotel is also very convenient, as it is pretty close to the shops, museums and the station. When we checked out, the offered us some complimentary drinks before we left. This is a truly deserved five star hotel and an amazing place for first time comers to stay.

The staff turn a beautiful property into a magical experience. This is our second time staying here, and we feel like family every time. From the warm greeting by Tonin when we arrived (a perfect airport transfer thanks to the organizational skills of the front desk), and Francesca's smile when we arrive at breakfast, every moment in this property is a delight. Kudos as well to Enrico at the front desk and Erisa and Sweta at breakfast, as well as Paolo the GM and the restaurant manager whose name I forgot. Order a cappuccino or latte macchiato at breakfast. It will change your life. Don't order an Americano (why waste good coffee beans?). Their made to order omelettes and avocado toast were also great. We loved the Deluxe room, with plenty of space and a gorgeous balcony. Enjoy a sundowner at the hotel's canal facing bar, and besides the special spritzes, try the frangiacorte Italian style champagne, which has a fresh and vibrant character. Dorsoduro, the island the hotel is on, is just across from San Marco, and there is a traghetto (2 euros per person) only a block away, and a bridge about a 10 minute walk, but Dorsoduro is so much more serene and tranquil than San Marco, and the restaurants feel a bit less commercial. Ai Gondolieri nearby was an excellent, upscale and friendly dinner we had at the recommendation of the concierge. The gorgeous Fortuni clothing store nearby is a must see, as they only sell in a handful of locations besides Venice (Paris and Munich). This is also a great pre river cruise stay if you take a Uniworld river cruise, as their dock is usually on Dorsoduro.

My girlfriend and I were incredibly pleased to have one of the few rooms on the canal side with an overlooking balcony and it was absolutely enchanting. Thank you General Manager and staff for making our stay great. We appreciate them going above and beyond with their service to enhance our stay. Their guest are not just a number, they actually care about you. We would stay here again.

Location is bad, 20 minutes walk from san marco square, reception staff is nice but the restaurant waiters are rude. The worst was when we left the room after we put the make up sign and came back at night with the sign flipped to do not disturb, probably by the room service staff, and the room not cleaned !!! i have never seen anything like this... We stayed in Junior suite, this hotel isnt 5 stars !!! it doesnt worth the money at all !!!! Worst Experience ever !!! And their room service is only lasagna and sandwiches ....

It's conveniently located just 100 meters from the Rialto Bridge, with St Mark's Square within a 10-minute walk. The hotel provides comfortable accommodations with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and antique furniture. Guests appreciate the quiet yet central location near fabulous restaurants and the Grand Canal. The friendly staff offers helpful suggestions for off-the-beaten-path dining experiences.
We were there for 3 nights. We arrived late (11pm) but the hotel staff was very nice and got us checked in very quickly. Our friends told us Italy would be too warm for our kids but the room had a new air conditioner and it was very easy to use and super cold. We stayed at the top floor and our kids had no problem with the stairs. The breakfast was free and good ( free espressos !!) and Monica helped us with planning our trips for the day. She was super friendly and helpful. Based on her recommendations, we had an awesome 3 night stay. She is so friendly and kind. If you have any questions, just ask her for help 🙂 We would definitely come back again. Thank you, Monica!!

Breakfast was good. Location was great. Staff were helpful. Be warned... the attic is no less than 90 steps up. Unfortunately the AC was not set to run when we were there middle of May. The low ceiling and lack of windows may bother some people, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Would have appreciated a luggage rack to hold our suitcases, instead of having to put them on the floor. Bathroom is a little aged.

The best place in Venice, without a doubt. I loved my stay. Everyone was very friendly and always very helpful. Super close to Rialto bridge, great AC, lots of hot water in the showers, nice helpful staff, good breakfast, big room! A charming atmosphere that feels family owned. Downsides: lots of stairs and if you get the attic the ceilings are low. But I think it’s the best value for your money in the region and would definitely stay there again!

Great location. Staff was amazing and breakfast was perfect when we got back from watching the sunrise near St Marks Square. Walking up 5 flights of stairs with luggage was great exercise and made us appreciate life 800 years ago when the building was built. Would def stay again but with less bags.

Great location and friendly staff! Beds were good and everything very clean. Downside was that our room was in the fourth floor and had to drag our luggage up there through the narrow stairs. Also the bathroom was a bit smelly, not sure if it was cigarettes or mold.

Hotel Rossi is a no-frills property with simple and cozy rooms, offering complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel has an interesting history, as it was founded by the Soraru family from a small village in the mountain range of Marmolada. Guests appreciate the convenient location and clean rooms, although some have shared bathrooms down the hall. The hotel provides a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, with helpful staff who go out of their way to assist guests.
Hotel Rossi is a decent little hotel tucked away at the back of walkway. I was told my room was on the ground floor. There are no rooms on the ground floor. I would call it the first floor which is up three short flights of stairs. The room is small and bed is good size. Therefore there's very little walking space. The bathroom is very compact as well. But the room was very clean. I valued the window opening up to a nondescript courtyard. The cool air was great. There was no television which is fine for us. The Wi-Fi worked very well. The staff were kind. The location was decent for us since it was a short walk to the train/bus station.

DO NOT RECOMMEND My mother and I were suppose to have 3 night in Venice at Hotel Rossi. Unfortunately our flight was cancelled and we had to arrive the next morning. It was 10.15 am and no receptionist to be found. On Booking.com app a message was left, to let us know that our room was on the 4th floor room 419 and the keys were left on the door for us. My mother and I got up the stair to realize that the 4th floor is private ( as per written above the entrance of the 4th floor). We got confused and tried to find someone to help us. An handyman helped and showed us our room, it was in that private floor and gave us a room which wasn't numbered at all (we wouldn't have known which room to go if he wasn't there). We've been told that if we didn't like the room that we could change, but had to wait until 2pm, my mother and I already loose one day of holiday because of our flight and we didn't want to miss out anymore of Venice, so we dropped off our bags and went on adventure. We came back just before 6pm, we realized the room was very small for 2 person and the bathroom was tiny. But we were just too tired to be preoccupied by that. Anyway the room was clean and the bed comfortable, so we were grateful for that. We then realized the shower was blocked. When we went to get some help about this issues, no one at the reception!!!! We had to use the sink to wash ourselves. We also got bitten by mosquitos all night ( no device to kill them what so ever ). The day after (in the morning), still no one at the reception. We left a message on the desk of the reception to let them know that the shower was blocked. We came later after lunch, FINALLY someone at the reception!!!! We asked about the shower, but nothing was done to it. So he gave us the room 314 instead. Before, he warned us that the electricity was having some issues. My mother and I really wanted a proper shower so we took it still. We had electricity only in the bathroom. We also got bitten by mosquitos during our last night, and I couldn't charge my phone before flying back home. The morning we left I talk to the receptionist and said he will talk to Booking.com to help with the refund of the first night we weren't here. Few days later I had to chase the manager of the hotel for the refund. I explained how unhappy I was about my stay as my mother and I couldn't have good nights of rest ( we came back exhausted ). She explained that I needed a specific key to have electricity in the room 314 and that with the electricity a device would have killed the mosquitos. But why the receptionist said something else? and why I didn't get that key for the electricity? The manager didn't even apologized at all for the poor quality of service, and RUDELY hang up the phone. Venice was beautiful, but for 414 euro 2 nights for 2 peoples and be treated this way isn't acceptable! Maybe if a receptionist was there 24/7 things would have gone differently.

Expected far worse based on some of the reviews. For a 1 ⭐ hotel this is absolutely fine. If you are happy with a no-frills, excellently located place to sleep while you're in Venice then this place is great. The rooms and bathrooms are small but clean and tidy, and most importantly have aircon. Notably there's no elevator so if mobility is an issue this could make it a non runner.

We just returned from our trip to Italy, and of all the places we booked, this was our least favorite. Some of the dislike is probably my own fault for not reading reviews more carefully. The hotel is about 2-3 city block ls walk from the train station ✅ there are many shops, stores, & restaurants on the Main Street to get to the hotel ✅. The young girl (staff) carried my bag for me up the stairs (2 full flights) ✅. They had no maps to offer. However, the hotel is located in a dark alleyway (there are other hotels there and it is safe, but upon first glance it looked scary). The rooms are terrible. We had 2 twin beds and the sheets were either scratchy or dirty-I never knew. The mattresses were lumpy with NO support. My husband found a bunch of blankets in the closet and he folded those up and put under the sheet to support him. One of the blankets he pulled out of the closet had a big wad of hair on it so we just put that right back in the closet! The bathroom is atrocious. There’s a sink and a mirror-no countertop space. Next to that is a shower with a curtain that wraps around so it’s sort of like a corner shower, and next to that is your toilet. You could literally take a shower and use the toilet seat to shave your legs or something! That’s how close they were. The water pressure was terrible, and we had to wait a long time to get hot water. There was no microwave or coffee maker or anything in that room. They did have a chest of drawers that we could put things on and a small table, and they did have one of those plug-in air conditioners, which was good and it did work! Venice was our least favorite stop of 5 cities we visited in Italy, and I think the hotel is the main reason for this. 👎🏻

It was one of the cheapest thing I saw on Adoga for room of one (I also checked hostels but there weren’t hostels in the main Venice island) Out of expect very nice and I had my own sink, mirror, closet and a little nice balcony. The music by the park was quite loud till 11pm for 2 days, but I’m fine with it. Other than that I’m very satisfied with this hotel, staff were nice, it was old but overall clean!

Thank you for the time we stayed at hotel Rossi. We had an amazing time in Venice and the staff at hotel Rossi were very accommodating for our late check in and early checkout.

Overall I rate the hotel a 3.5 star. Easy access, fast checkin, around 5 mins from Santa Lucia Venice station. Nice and quiet lane where the hotel is located. It's okay if you want to spend most of the time in the city and just looking for a night stay.
Kalpesh B — Google review
The bathroom is dirty and it smells, the room is small. No tv or fridge in the room an no AC.(in early June was cool enough in the night). The bed was ok ish, but the pillows were not. The location was excellent, 5 minutes from the train station and 2 waterbuss stations. Was pretty quiet with the windows open, due to the fact that is located 20 meters from the main alley. (Be aware of mosquitos). And the photos from Booking are much nicer than the reality.

Albergo Santa Lucia is a budget-friendly hotel located in Venice, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The hotel offers simple yet clean and bright rooms with the option of private or shared baths. Its convenient location outside the main path to Piazza Santa Marco and near shops and restaurants makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. Guests appreciate the outstanding service provided by the friendly staff.
The room was clean and very nice. The service was excellent and very polite. They even brought us breakfast in our room, because we were leaving early... There is free breakfast The shared bathroom was not a problem at all. It was always clean and barely occupied All in all it's been a great experience and i would recommend it to everyone❤️

Reasonable price nearby the Venice SL Station. I don't think this is really a one-star hotel to be honest. The rooms and toilets are clean and well-maintained. The breakfast ordering service was very impressive. Will come again if I had the opportunity to visit Venice again in the future. .

Absolutely fantastic place to stay in Venice - perfect location, affordable price, high hospitality standards in all regards. The staff were kind, my room was excellent, and my stay there very pleasant. Tutti i complimenti - grazie mille!

Hotel service is excellent that I wish I can rate 5+++ stars. We came quite early before check in time and they kept our luggage without any hesitation, the man even suggested us using the bathroom before get going. Same thing when we checked out, we needed to hang out in Venice after, thus they kept our luggages until 8-9pm. The young guy (with glasses) was super helpful, kind and asked if we wanted to use the bathroom before leaving. If you travel long enough, you know having access to bathroom can be a hassle many times and that is why we highly appreciate their gesture - though they have the right to say no in my opinion. I want to stay at the hotel again for my next time to Venice. Location is very central but quiet.

Very good location! Just outside of the Canioreggione street where there's plenty of shops and restaurants outside the main path to Piazza Santa Marco and the train and bus station. Easy to find as there is a large tile that says Albergo Santa Lucia before the alleyway. Breakfast was also lovely. Plenty of options and they serve you personally. Pastries, yoghurt, hot drinks, spreads, cereal. The room is very good, very good mattress and pillows, and clean sheets. We got the shared bathroom option, but the bathroom is literally outside our door and it didn't really felt like a hassle (especially since we only shared the bathroom with two other rooms). The bathroom is cleaned regularly with hot showers with heavy flow. Would 100% recommend to anyone if they don't mind the shared bathroom (there are private bath options I'm sure).
Hazwan Y — Google review
We loved it! The service was outstanding, when we talked about the highlights of our days we both mentioned really good interactions with staff and how kind they were. It's in a quiet part of town and right by the train station. It's about a half hour walk to the other side of the island, I liked going back and forth a few times I felt like I saw the whole city. The garden was really nice and the hotel was really clearly marked and easy to find, unlike some others we looked at. The water pressure was normal, the AC worked well, you can drink the tap water. I didn't get the breakfast but everyone who did said good things. I had black coffee American style and it was the best cup of coffee I had in Europe since traveling here. Alexandra works in the morning and she's incredibly kind, she knew we were traveling for our anniversary and blew up a couple heart shaped balloons to put in the room. She was so sweet

The room was comfortable, and bathroom was very clean and adequate. The location was near the station and easy to find as described, but down a very narrow laneway which was disconcerting at first glance, but proved to be very safe and quiet, given its proximity to the busy canal front strip and market. Good value for money.

Hotel Palazzo Stern is an elegant retreat in Venice, offering stunning views of the Grand Canal and a rooftop terrace with a hot tub. This family-owned hideaway in Castello boasts a canal at the front and a lush garden at the back, providing a serene escape from the bustling city. Housed in a 16th-century palazzo, the hotel features 13 simple yet charming rooms adorned with parquet or terrazzo floors and lavish bedspreads.
We stayed at Palazzo Stern in September 2024 and the experience was an all time favorite. The staff were stellar - professional, kind, friendly and helpful, without exception. Our room had a balcony on the Grand Canal, which was my favorite place to be in Venice, especially at night. The location is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood steps from local bars and restaurants with a vaporetto stop just outside the hotel entrance. From the private water taxi to the waterfront terrace to the luxurious decor, the hotel cannot be beat.

I had an exceptional stay at Hotel Palazzo Stern. The rooms were extremely clean and surprisingly spacious, offering both comfort and elegance. The staff were wonderfully kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The location is unbeatable, right on the Grand Canal, with breathtaking views that make every moment feel special. A perfect Venetian experience - I can’t recommend it highly enough!

We stayed here instead of San Marco district and were so happy. Venice is smaller than it looks and very walkable, we only had to walk 5min and were at the accademia bridge to go into San Marco (pictured is the view from the accademia bridge). Plus because it is in the dorsoduoro district it is a way better value for the room. The bathroom was AMAZING and all marble. The room was beautiful as well. The hotel was an old palazzo so there is art and history all around you (pictured). The terrace had a nice view of the water, breakfast was super easy (we just walked out to the terrace and ordered. when we checked in they told us what breakfast was included with our reservation). The staff were great! Easy to navigate the hotel and city with English. Our tour guides picked us up from the hotel lobby and walked us in to the rest of venice without issue.

Our home away from home in Venice, we always try to stay here at least for a portion of every trip, the balcony is so magical over the Grand Canal, you truly do not want to leave! It is located in Dorsoduro, which we love because it is so close to San Marco but also so peaceful and charming, more local. They also have their own boat which goes between their properties, one being across from the train which is SO convenient! Can’t wait to be back next year!

The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, steps off of the vaporetto stop. The continental breakfast is disappointing. We had come from other hotels that served amazing breakfasts for the same price. The problem was the room. We were given an attic space. Not attractive in any way, carpet is old, threadbare and dingy. No windows! Our room had sky lights. The heat was on and AC off. Our room was suffocatingly hot. We opened the sky lights for ventilation and ended up covered in mosquito bites. My face had red welts. I was miserably itchy all over. We asked for a fan and had to ask again to finally get one on our third night. We had met another couple that stays here year after year. When we saw their room, it was what I had expected. When we showed them ours, they gasped. For the price paid I expected more.
Jane C — Google review
Iconic location right on the Grand Canal. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are well-appointed but small (you can't expect bigger in Venice, though). The restaurant terrace, reserved for hotel patrons, is a beautiful sanctuary.
Martin D — Google review
Great location and overall really pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly but we were disappointed we did not get the room we paid for. They said all the other junior suites on the front side of the hotel overlooking the Grand Canal were taken but reserved our room 6 months before our trip and specifically requested that view for our honeymoon. At breakfast, we were the only people there and we didn’t see anyone else in the hotel until the end of our stay. We feel that we were being deceived about those rooms being reserved. They sent us a bottle of campaign to try and make up for it but we don’t really drink. They basically said they prioritize repeat customers which I guess makes sense but a horrible business model of you want to keep first time visitors coming back. But like I said, very friendly staff and great location, we were just disappointed for the value of the room we got based on the price per night we paid.
Doug B — Google review
An historic and beautiful palazzo on the Grand Canal situated perfectly between the Ca’Rezzonico waterbus stop and Ponte dell’Accademia (one of only four bridges that spans the Grand Canal). Packed with stunning architectural elements, sculptures, mosaics and artworks and with traditionally designed rooms, it is the perfect base for exploring Venice. You can take breakfast and delicious dinners on the terrace which looks directly onto the Grand Canal as you watch the world go by. Add to this the friendly and knowledgeable staff it is hard to find any fault with this perfect palazzo - highly recommended 👍

Locanda Poste Vecie is a charming hotel located in Venice's historic old post office, offering quaint rooms with minibars and canal views. Despite being a bit tricky to find due to the narrow streets, friendly locals are always willing to help. The hotel is situated near a fish market, providing an authentic Venetian experience. Inside, guests can expect spacious and comfortable rooms with firm mattresses and inviting bathrooms.
Very good value for money. Accessible and very close to Rialto bridge. Nice and kind host. We went on a city break to visit, so only needed the room for sleeping and showers and it delivered great. The room was cleaned daily, the water was hot, people helpful, good price, great location.

A classic and tiny hotel close to the ferry pier. The hosts are nice and help us carry the luggage to the room. A lot of mosquitoes come in and disturb us while sleeping. Yet, it's still a good choice at this lower price compared to other hotels.
Joyce N — Google review
Wow, did we spend a rough couple of nights here. Let’s start with service - we saw the staff once in our two days there, and it was only at check out. The rest of the days, we would pass by in the AM around 9am, evening around 6pm, or afternoon around 3pm and there was no one there. Only a sign that someone would be returning in 10 minutes. Second, communication was terrible. They didn’t tell us that the AC was set to heating and that it was going to be spitting out hot scalding air no matter what we did. This led us to have to sleep with the windows open so we would be able to even breathe through the night - because the AC heater air was that hot. Now, we’re in Venice, which means water, which equals to LOTS OF MOSQUITOES. Because we had to sleep with the windows open, we woke up with mosquito bites all over. When we checked out, the staff told us that they knew about the problem, thus they had “conveniently” left a plug in to repel mosquitoes… hidden away… in a cabinet. Again, communication, we would have never known to use that, because no one from the staff told us, and we didn’t even know where to look or what that would have been for. Last but not least: the bed. We booked a room with a queen bed, but nope, we got two twin beds stuck together to make it seem like a queen bed. This led to the beds moving through the night and us waking up in the middle part with back pain. Also, the pillows that they give you are razor thin so you also wake up with neck pain. Perfect to take the day exploring a new city, am I right? I do have to say that the area is quiet at least, and close enough to the main center. It was also clean. However, we are so stiff, mosquito bitten and sleep deprived that I wouldn’t with my sound mind recommend this place for your stay in Venice.
Alejandra U — Google review
Amazing!! Absolutely a gem of a find. The location cannot be beat. It's a lively city, so if you want seclusion and quiet, visit another town. However, for the quintessential Venice experience, you cannot go wrong at this hotel. The only negative, which was totally OK, was that the AC didn't work during our stay. It was mid-spring, and they said the system wasn't turned over for cool yet. It was fine, we just opened the window over the canal and listened to the conversations from the Cafe on the bridge just 30 ft away. What a treat!! We loved the entire experience. Clean room, warm service, at a fair price. Nicola at the front desk was great and helped us carry our bags up. When we come back, this will be our first choice if it's available! We booked the double room (not deluxe) and looooved it.
G.W. W — Google review
Room is decent for the price. Needs some TLC in areas. The mattress is hard and firm and two single beds pushed together. Only three pillows and they need updating. The service is 3 as we haven’t had any service as we wanted extra pillows and no one was there anytime we popped down. Location is ideal, couple minute walk to Rialto bridge with many amenities around plus discount at their restaurant Poste Vecie.

Fabulous location, nice rooms, canal view, luggage storage for the day we left, friendly staff, good price & great restaurant next door!

The hotel rooms are very much what is pictured- the beds were not the most comfy and the room was definitely a little older but for how central it is to the main area in Venice, it was very much worth it. It was clean and staff was nice. We only stayed 2 nights but it got the job done.

It's situated in a central yet quiet area, offering clean rooms with comfortable beds and good showers. The staff is known for being friendly and helpful, ensuring guests have an enjoyable stay.
We had the double bed suite on the top floor, there is no elevator but we didn’t mind the stairs. The bathroom was big and clean, the room was in perfect state. The staff really went the extra mile keeping our luggage safe even though we had check out.

I am disappointed with the service provided by your hotel. Despite multiple attempts, my calls and messages were not responded to before my arrival. This lack of communication created unnecessary stress and confusion, especially when I needed assistance or information prior to reaching the property. I expected a higher level of professionalism and customer care. I hope you take this feedback seriously and improve your responsiveness to better serve future guests
Ivan M — Google review
Avoid this place if you can, it's super stingy. The check-in process is a joke, limited to just a few hours, with the customer punished if they happen to arrive at any other time. The online payment system is just weird, presumably because they are too tight to pay 5 cents of bank fees. The windows are not double glazed. The communication is lazy and indifferent. It's honestly embarrassing. So be prepared to not be treated as a guest but as an irritant that is getting in the way of their leisure time. And don't lock the front door! Electronic codes, cards and fobs were invented decades ago, but they cost money, so forget about it.
Geoff A — Google review
I don't think there's a better location than this hotel's. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Stefano, in particular, was very attentive and gave us great recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. If I return to Venice, I would definitely stay at this same hotel again. Just make sure to communicate if you're arriving late, due to the check-in policy.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is a small room, but it is very nice for a 2 star hotel! There is a bidet, fridge, and free coffee/ tea in the room (have seen 4 stars without this). The location is about 10-15 minutes away from the big sights of Venice, so it is a bit quieter (but you can still hear people). There is a small, free breakfast included that isn’t anything special, but gets you ready for the day. The man working the reception was extremely friendly! The name outside of the hotel is different than the name listed on Google, so be careful for that. It would be optimal if that was changed, but if you make a booking they will let you know to look out for that

Terrible Experience Room Cancelled Due to Late Check-In! I had a truly awful experience with this hotel. I was traveling all the way from Manchester to Venice—my first time visiting—and after a long journey, I arrived to find out my booking had been cancelled simply because I checked in late. Not only was this never clearly communicated, but they made absolutely no effort to contact me or hold the room despite my confirmed reservation. Even worse, I tried calling multiple times, both that night and the next day, and they never answered or returned my calls. I was left stranded in a new city with no accommodation and no support. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. They clearly do not care about their guests or take any responsibility for proper service
Crystal B — Google review
Bit frustrating, our stay here. The check-in process is bad - very limited opening hours, no box for the keys to be left out, totally inconvenient. The doors of the accommodation are also not up to the job. Multiple codes, keys, and warnings. If people keep locking it maybe a new system is needed? The rooms are okay, but the noise from the street is significant, and it was quite expensive for what is was.

La Locanda di Orsaria is a former aristocratic home turned into a cozy accommodation option in Venice. The small and friendly atmosphere, along with reasonable rates, make it an ideal choice for travelers. The convenient location near restaurants, the train station, and the Grand Canal adds to its appeal. Guests can enjoy a variety of warm pastries for breakfast and experience excellent service from the owner's family.
Wonderful! Beautiful stay and reception went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Aircon was beautiful and ice cold during the hottest time of the year. We were on the first floor so it was super easy to get to the rooms, and the noise on the street wasn't too bad (we use a white noise app and even at half volume it was perfectly fine). Beds were comfy, bathroom was spacious, and the shower always had hot water.

Simple but great hotel with convenient location Check in was a little confusing, we spent a couple minutes trying to find it, would have appreciated proper instructions before arrival... Check-in had to be done in the Venice Maggior Consiglio hotel which is nearby, it's basically two sister hotels run by the same company. After check-in you can open the La Locanda di Orsaria front door with your key but be aware that there's no one ever at the front desk, you need to get to the other hotel if you need something. To access our room in the third floor we had to go through two rows of stairs and we didn't get any help with luggage, although I didn't ask to be honest. Our room was nice and tidy and breakfast was simple with not so many options but very great nonetheless. Location is really convenient, specially if you have a short stay, it's just a short walk from the train station but it still manages to be in a quiet street.

DONOT BOOK THIS HOTEL I reserved this Hotel 5 months in advance for three people. Because of some problem I told them 2 months that two of them cannot travel due to health reasons and please change the booking. The Hotel staff was so discourteous and non customer friendly that they simply refused. Any other Hotel would have done that considering Venice being a tourist city and they can easily find people. I would strongly advice people NOT TO BOOK THIS HOTEL.

An excellent choice if Stazione St Lucia is your entry and exit point to Venice. The room is clean and antique. The only drawback is the lack of elevator. It is quite a work out to pull the luggage to the third floor!

Has to be the most convenient location in the whole of Venice! 3 min walk from the main station and tucked away down a quiet side street near a pedestrian bridge. Service was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful (although we only made use of it once as so many wonderful places to breakfast in Venice). Our double room was perfectly OK and spotlessly clean, if a little tired. Comfortable bed and lots of hot water. Fantastic value!

Worst Hotel for customer care. Please choose others. I asked the Hotel to cancel the room or reduce the charges as due to some personal reasons other people along with me cannot travel. The Hotel staff was so rude that they didnot even bothered to cancel. Ideally they should have cancelled atleast the breakfast charges which we didnot take at all.

The hotel is just opposite to the train station. It is very convenient as you can just roll your luggage and walk there. The staffs were really nice and helpful. We had a late flight in evening, but the checkout time was at 10. They told we can keep our luggage with them after the check out, which was a great help. Will suggest this hotel. The room had a vibe of Venice.

Il Palazzo Experimental is a unique and vibrant hotel located at the eastern end of Le Zattere in Venice. The entrance through the restaurant and bar sets the tone for an immersive experience, with tempting cocktails like the house Negroni. The rooms are designed by Dorothee Meilichzon, featuring a blend of Art Deco elements and playful, colorful furniture inspired by Italy's 1980s Memphis design movement.
We had a wonderful stay at Il Palazzo Experimental. The hotel is beautiful, with stunning design details throughout and an unbeatable view of the Grand Canal from our room. Think "modern Venetian" style. LOCATION: The location is great if you are looking to get away from the busy touristy areas but close to everything at the same time. After long days exploring the island, the relaxed aperitivo by the canal in front of the hotel was a welcome treat. The nice bar downstairs was also a plus. SERVICE: What made our stay exceptional was the service. Maddalena, Ivan, and Andrea at the front desk went above and beyond — arranging our water taxi transfers, securing tickets to a fantastic Vivaldi concert in a local church, and taking care of every detail we needed with warmth and efficiency. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, well-located place with genuinely helpful and welcoming staff.

Super nice hotel! A beautiful lobby and garden, extremely friendly staff, and a nice and well-decorated room. Our favorite part was the location - easy to access by water taxi, but tucked away from the most touristy and crowded parts of Venice. This allowed us to explore small alleyways and canals peacefully.

The hotel itself was charming, and our room was spacious with a lovely high ceiling. However, the service could have been better. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our room after the official check-in time, without being offered even a drink while we waited. To our surprise, our room was located right next to the reception. There was some noise coming from the courtyard and the restaurant. Breakfast is served à la carte, and while it was tasty, the service was slow. Not ideal when you have travel plans. It took quite a while both to place an order and to receive the food.

The hotel looks exactly like the photos – absolutely beautiful and meticulously designed. As an architect, it is always a joy to see such wonderful building renovations where every detail is carefully considered. The staff is attentive, flexible, and truly helpful. The food is delicious, and both the garden and the common areas are spotless and very pleasant. The bar’s cocktails and service are definitely five-star quality. Everything is within a 20-minute walking distance, and there are two public transportation (boat) stops right nearby. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel not only to my fellow architects but also to anyone who wishes to enjoy a complete, calm, and delightful stay in Venice, surrounded by an extraordinary architectural and interior design environment.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The property has a stylish nautical theme that adds a unique charm. Our room was cool and comfortable—the air conditioning was already set to 20°C when we arrived and maintained that temperature perfectly during our two-night stay. The high ceilings likely helped keep the room pleasant and airy. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the separate powder station, which made it easy for my wife to get ready outside of the bathroom, as well as the complimentary robes and slippers. The location is peaceful and away from the heavy tourist crowds, but still well connected. Whether by public transport, walking, or taxi, we had easy access to the Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco, and other key spots. We mostly explored on foot—it was a joy wandering through all the small alleyways and hidden corners of the city.

After spending a lot of time searching for the perfect hotel in Venice, I’m so glad I found Il Palazzo Experimental. This place is absolutely stunning, every detail from the decor to the ambiance is beautifully curated. The view over the canal is a dream and the overall design of the space strikes the perfect balance between elegance and character. The atmosphere is calm and chic, a refreshing contrast to the often-crowded areas of Venice. It felt like a true escape, yet still conveniently located for exploring the city. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast. Rather than a traditional buffet, it’s a made-to-order setup. While the quality was decent, the options felt a bit limited and I found myself wishing for a little more variety to start the day. That said, the overall experience far outweighed that small critique. Il Palazzo Experimental is a true gem and I’d happily stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is very comfortable, with everything well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Its location is convenient and budget-friendly: you can take a taxi to the San Basilio Terminal and a short 10-minute walk to the hotel, saving on transportation costs. Most major attractions are within a 20–30 minute walk. Murano and Burano are also easily accessible via the 5.2 ferry from the Zattere station, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

UPDATE 2: We reported the theft to Hyatt Consumer Affairs, and in their investigation the manager blatantly lied, saying we told him we “misplaced” our things that were stolen. Absolutely nuts. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. UPDATE: After reading more reviews across multiple sites, it seems that theft occurs at this property quite often. Always do your research before booking! Cash and cards stolen from luggage inside locked hotel room On the last evening of our stay, someone entered our room while we were out and stole $200 in cash and 2 debit cards. At first we thought it had only been cash from one of our backpacks, but we’ve just discovered after checking out that they went through our other luggage as well. During that evening, we had gone out to grab Gelato around 11pm, after having a quick chat with the receptionist about our evening plans. The next morning, while packing to check out, we discovered that several hundred dollars were missing from my backpack, and several items were in disarray. My badge was in a different pocket than where I keep it, despite never having removed it the entire trip. Several credit cards were also in a different pocket than my wallet. And the cash that remained (2 $20 bills) were stuffed messily in my money clip, where the 2 $100 bills were now missing. It was quickly clear to us that someone had accessed my bag and taken the cash, despite both my bag and the cash having never left the hotel room during our entire stay. Our other bag with the missing debit cards also never left the room during our entire stay. We had organized our luggage earlier that night, during which I confirmed how much cash I had, as well as the placement of my items, so there was no question that someone else had entered and rummaged through our stuff, and stole the cash and cards. That next morning, we went to the front desk to check out and report the theft. The front desk manager was initially helpful and alerted the hotel general manager to check the footage from the security camera on that floor. However, within 10 minutes, they told me no one had accessed the room and were convinced I had lost the money or been pick-pocketed while out, despite me explaining I had never taken that backpack or cash outside the room the entire stay, and that it had been there earlier in the day. I eventually was able to view the footage with the general manager for that floor in the time after we had left the room. In the footage, less than 2 minutes after we left the building, a porter came out of the stairwell and went directly to the corner of the floor where the room was located, before disappearing and reappearing in the hallway after 3 minutes and walking directly back to the stairwell. Because of the angle of the camera, it’s impossible to see the actual entrance of our room, so the manager argued that he was doing nightly room checks and had entered the small corridor in that same corner, not our room. However, thinking more on this now, this doesn’t make sense for several reasons. Firstly, the man walks directly from the stairwell to that corner, before disappearing and walking straight back to the stairwell. There were several other rooms in the hallway which are visible on the camera, and the man did not stop to check any of those rooms. Secondly, that corridor is quite small, it should not have taken him as long as it did to simply check the rooms. Lastly, the front desk manager had told us that all employees apart from the receptionist leave the hotel by 10pm, so it doesn’t make sense that a porter should be doing room checks past 11pm. Ultimately, it seems likely our room was an easy target due to being out of view of the camera, and it seems the managers chose to save face rather than take the allegation seriously. Even after seeing this footage, they continued to argue we lost the money ourselves and pin the blame on us.

Corte di Gabriela is a boutique hotel that seamlessly blends 19th-century architecture with modern design and vibrant colors. The property prides itself on its eco-friendly practices and offers a warm, old-fashioned service from the welcoming owners and staff. Situated in a central yet peaceful location, the hotel provides various shared spaces including a cozy library and a charming courtyard. Guests can expect creatively designed rooms, with options such as canal-facing balconies or kitchen-included lofts for groups.
We stayed two nights at this hotel and had an exceptional experience. The owner, Lucas, was incredibly friendly and attentive—always making sure everything was perfect. If you're looking for an authentic Venetian stay, this is the place to be. The hotel was spotless, with a remarkable attention to detail throughout. Every restaurant recommendation they gave us was a hidden gem—away from the crowds and offering some of the best food we've had in Venice. They truly went above and beyond, handling all our reservations, from restaurants to water taxis. Breakfast was another highlight. We usually skip hotel breakfasts because they often feel mass-produced and uninspired, but not here. Each morning featured a beautifully presented and delicious menu that changed daily. It felt like dining at a boutique café. We can't recommend this place enough and will absolutely return on our next visit to Venice.

Honestly, only good things to say about this boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so warmly welcomed. We even got upgraded to a deluxe room, which was such a nice surprise :) The location is perfect - just a few min walk to the city center, but tucked away enough that it’s quiet & peaceful, away from all the noise. Breakfast was a total highlight. It's more like eating at a good restaurant than a typical hotel buffet. The staff was super attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we want. Big thanks to the hotel team for such a wonderful and enjoyable stay. It was just what we needed - we’ll definitely be recommending this place to anyone who's looking for a great stay in the area.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived, the reception was warm and welcoming, with incredible attention to detail that set the tone for our stay. Our room was quaint and full of character, reflecting the charm of the original building while offering modern comfort and peaceful quiet. Breakfast was an absolute highlight—flavorful, beautifully presented, and served by the master chef and owner himself. We loved enjoying it on the outdoor patio with a cup of brilliant Italian coffee. The location was perfect—easy to find and conveniently accessible from St. Mark’s Square, yet tucked away just enough to feel like a private retreat. This boutique hotel perfectly balances style, comfort, and personal touch. We would absolutely stay again and truly appreciated the intimacy and luxury that a boutique setting offers over a larger hotel. Highly recommend!

We had a truly wonderful experience at Corte di Gabriela. The staff was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. What stood out most was the seamless communication between team members—no matter who was at the front desk when we returned, they were always up to speed on any previous requests and followed up without us needing to repeat ourselves. That level of coordination is rare and so appreciated. They also went above and beyond to help us navigate a transportation strike by proactively informing us ahead of time and offering helpful suggestions to adjust our travel plans—we’re incredibly grateful for that support. On the morning of our departure, since we had to leave before breakfast, they kindly provided us with a breakfast bag to go. And one small but lovely detail: the towels were especially nice! All in all, we had an exceptional stay and would highly recommend Corte di Gabriela to anyone visiting Venice.

Corte di Gabriela is a beautiful boutique hotel with a perfect central location in Venice. From here, you can reach St. Mark’s Square within minutes. The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms and comfortable beds. From the hairdryer to the coffee machine to eco-friendly hotel accessories (like slippers, shampoo, etc.), absolutely nothing is missing. A special highlight was the gel for tired legs – such a thoughtful touch! Apart from the small carpet next to the bed, everything was spotlessly clean! The breakfast was excellent, and special dietary needs were accommodated without any fuss – a perfect start to the day. What really stood out was the service and the people working at the hotel: every team member, including the owner himself, was extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere felt a bit like being at home – warm and familiar. 😊 Thank you for the wonderful stay at your lovely hotel!

Everything about this hotel was absolutely perfect!! The warm greeting you receive as you enter the hotel makes you feel at home! The hotel is just 3 minutes from the water taxi stop. Be careful when you exit the train station to find the water taxi yourself because we were charged to have them carry our bags to the water taxi (new traveler mistake). Each morning you have a fabulous breakfast there! We stayed for our honeymoon and they wrote a sweet note with a bottle of wine and left it in our room. The beds were so comfortable to sleep in. I wish we stayed in this hotel longer!!

Incredible boutique hotel. Service was outstanding. Room was spacious (ground floor) and well appointed. Nice location in a quieter part of San Marco but still very walkable to the action.

This might be one of the best hotel experiences so far! The hotel is located in a quiet area of Venice but still close to a Vaporetto stop. There are some good restaurants close by and it only takes 10-15 minutes to reach the more busy areas of Venice. The hotel itself is quite small but so good. Our room was spacious and decorated with historic ceiling paintings and antique columns. AC provided a cool room on hot days. The staff is very service-minded and friendly with a personal touch. They helped us with everything from arranging private water taxi from the airport to the hotel upon arrival to restaurant recommendations and reservations. The breakfast service is what brings this hotel to the next level. It's an amazing experience to have breakfast in the courtyard. There are new Italian dishes each morning and you won't know beforehand what will be served. The chef and owner prepare the breakfast himself together with his staff and everything is served by the table. There is also a small buffet to pick from. The coffee is excellent! This is THE place to stay when in Venice!

Nestled in the heart of Venice, Residenza Ca' San Marco is a charming guesthouse that once served as a monastery and was home to the renowned playwright Carlo Goldoni in the 18th century. This delightful retreat features beautifully appointed rooms adorned with Baroque decor, including patterned wallpaper and elegant furnishings that transport you back in time. While some rooms may be on the smaller side, they are impeccably clean and cozy, providing a warm haven from the chilly Venetian air.
This is a gem of a place. room is kinda small but clean, warm in these cold conditions and comfortable. the bed takes up most of the space and takes a little getting used to. the bathroom is very spacious and the shower is more than a decent size. There is a bit of a damper, the HOT water in the shower is just warm, NOT hot. but otherwise it's great. It would have been great to have a complimentary bottle of water upon arrival, as is customery in most hotels around europe, but you have to pay €2 for a bottle of VERY COLD water from the fridge.

We booked this hotel well in advance, looking forward to a much-needed vacation. Unfortunately, our flight was canceled due to an unexpected outbreak of war in Israel. Despite the extreme and uncontrollable circumstances, the hotel refused to issue a refund or even offer a partial credit or rescheduling option. It’s incredibly disheartening to see such a lack of understanding and humanity during a time of crisis. We didn’t choose to cancel – we were unable to travel due to a dangerous and unpredictable situation. I expected a hotel of this caliber to show more empathy and flexibility, especially in the face of a war. Sadly, this experience has left a very bitter taste, and I would not recommend booking here if you value fair treatment and basic compassion.

The room was okay (clean, nice size) and the location was good. But that’s about all this hotel has going for it. The bathroom was long and narrow, making it hard to move around. The heating made the room colder somehow. The hair dryer is honestly a joke, something from the 80s, doesn’t work. The room door has a huge space underneath and makes it unbearably loud in the morning as the cleaning ladies and guests start to talk loudly from 8am. They don’t let you store your luggage after checkout, so you have to pay €19 for off-site storage. Would not stay again.

Advantages The apartment was in centre + Kinda affordable price + Kind service man + Classical interesting style . Disadvantages - There was a gap under our door, so until early morning hours we were constantly waked up by loud noices and voices, so I we can't rest well and still were really tired after long travelling previous day. 😴 - You can hear every little sound from bathroom even if the doors are closed🙈 - The hairdryer was terrible, I think I had to dry my hair more than half an hour and they still were a little bit wet because it was really weak, so if you have longer hair, bring your own one. 🤦🏻‍♀

The room was pretty large and the bed as well. The lady that was for the breakfast was so nice and always with a smile eventhoungh didn't speak English that well. The location was good ,center but not noisy. They could have a better breakfast with more options and quantity but still was good.

The room was very small and no Wifi signal was available in the room allotted to us. Upon request, we were shifted to another room which was bigger (and had Wifi) but we eventually found out that the bathtub was not draining. And later we were again shifted to another tiny room. The carpet and sheets in the room were not clean. Expected a much better stay for the price charged. However the location was great and very close to San Marco's Square which was a huge advantage.

Awful!!! By far the worst (and far too expensive) accommodation I've ever experienced! I didn't like the room: full of mold, damaged ceiling (the plaster was actually falling down on the floor), small, dark, noisy, stained sheets. Also, the staff wasn't friendly at all! The location was OK, close to the tourist attractions (however I don't believe that location justifies the price, as in Venice everything is within walking distance). Bottom line: I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone!!

The room was very clean, and more spacious than I had expected. The location was really good, within walking distance off the rialto bridge and San Marcos. One complain I have is the noise. The first morning we were there, they had some sort of maintenance done right outside our room at around 8am. Hopefully this is only a one off thing. Check in was pretty easy at their main hotel, the lady immediately pulled out a map and circled places of interest for us hefore we even asked. She also helped us with our luggage.

The accommodations feature contemporary designs with local furnishings and spacious bathrooms. Guests can also enjoy cooking classes and gourmet dining experiences nearby.
Loved staying at Casa Burano! It was a great way to visit Venice while also being able to stay far away from the crowds in the mornings and at night and feel a little bit like a local. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and seem newly renovated. The staff was great and worked with us when our flight into Venice was delayed. Breakfast is at their sister property of Venissa (a pretty and easy walk from Casa Burano) and is delicious. We unfortunately did not get a chance to try dinner at their restaurant, but it looked amazing. Do keep in mind that if you fly into Marco Polo airport you'll have to either take the ferry into Venice and then take another ferry to Burano, or pay around 200 euro for a water taxi to Burano. Given the very reasonable cost of this hotel, the water taxi (which the hotel arranged for us) seemed justifiable.
Carla M — Google review
While we loved our dining experience at Venissa, our first floor room at Casa Burano looked like a soulless dormitory with no view, no service, and a 10 minute walk to Mazzorbo for breakfast, which we skipped on the morning it rained. Some accommodation that morning would have gone a long way. The woman who checked us in practically sprinted across the island, never looking back as we struggled to keep up while carrying all our luggage, and then was annoyed when we didn’t pay the tax with cash. The location was fine but the experience was very disappointing. Burano, however, was a magical place away from the insanity of Venice. Stay at the resort if you can.

We had a 4-day family stay at Casa Burano and Venissa. Was great to be so close to Venice and also so far away from the tourist crowd. The hospitality was great, the breakfast nice after a strawl through the winefield, and the Michelin star diner truly special with many vegetables from their own garden and fish from the lagoon. We will be back!

Casa Burano was one of my favorite places we stayed in Europe and we backpacked through 12 cities all over the continent. The room was amazing we got the one on the top floor. It is so beautiful and comfortable. When we first got there we arrived a bit earlier than check in and we didn't realize we had to call a day before but we showed up and didn't know where to go so we received help from one of the gentleman that works at the restaurant in front of the hotel. At the moment we didn't know where we were and he called the concierge for us and she came and let us in early. It was beyond nice of them. Also the view from the rooms are so pretty. The hotel is a bright green building in front of these pink and green houses and one of the better restaurants on the island. The breakfast was really good too, I love the way they do it and they have an unlimited amount of coffee and espresso. It is a bit out of town and everything closes down at around 8 pm except that really good restaurant in front of the hotel. Such a pretty little town and hotel I loved it here.

This is stop one of our two week Italian vacation. IMHO, the biggest benefit to staying at this B&B is that the host Lorenzo will meet you at the water taxi dock and bring you to the apartment. It's such a stress reliever not getting lost in unfamiliar alleys trying to find your lodging while rolling a bunch of luggage on pebble/stones. We got the room with king bed and a single bed and facing a quiet courtyard. Everything worked well and Lorenzo can install the mosquito repellent for you if requested. There is a mini fridge and a microwave in the kitchen for guests to sue 24/7. Overall a pleasant place to come back to rest after wondering in Venice all day long.

The view from the hotel is simply stunning, and the location couldn’t be better—just a 2-minute walk from the ferry stop, making it easy to get around Venice. A special thanks to the lovely lady at reception and the gentleman who assisted with breakfast—both were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Venice!

A Hidden Gem in Venice – Peaceful, Scenic, and Exceptionally Welcoming Hotel Barbarigo is a fantastic place to stay if you're visiting Venice and want to experience the city without being surrounded by crowds. It’s ideally located — just off the main tourist paths, so you can enjoy some peace and quiet — yet it's still an easy walk to pretty much anywhere you'd want to go. The hotel itself is right on the Grand Canal, which makes for beautiful views and a truly Venetian atmosphere. One of the standout features is that it has its own water taxi stop — such a convenient perk that makes arrival and departure completely hassle-free, especially with luggage. Inside, the hotel is quiet and comfortable, and the service is truly exceptional. The staff are warm, friendly, and go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. If you're looking for a more serene and authentic stay in Venice without sacrificing convenience, Hotel Barbarigo is an excellent choice.

Highly recommend the Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo. From the moment we stepped in we were impressed by the impeccable service and ambiance! The beautiful dark, moody, and opulent decor befits its location in the heart of Venice! It’s a short walk to the best sightseeing and yet the local neighborhood is quiet with lots of shops and cafes. Our well appointed and elegant suite had all the luxury amenities and was situated on the grand canal! An included continental breakfast was amazing and is served in a gorgeous room overlooking the grand canal. We could not have asked for more during our three night visit to Venice.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo. If you are hesitating on where to stay in Venice, look no further! This is the perfect place to stay on the Grand Canal! Centrally located, beautiful boutique hotel, and amazing staff. Nicoletta and Stefano were the most wonderful hosts, from the kind welcome we received (despite our late arrival), the excellent restaurant recommendations, the engaging conversation, we loved getting to know them and their city. We were very impressed by the history of this hotel and the beautiful views of the grand canal. The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast included with our stay was excellent every morning. Although some people mentioned the hotel was hard to find, we didn't have issues finding it with Google maps and we appreciated that the hotel was tucked away in a small alleyway, far from the crowds. We highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying again the next time we are in Venice! Arrivederci!

My partner and I couldn't have picked a better hotel for our holiday! We spent a week here, which is family run by a brother and sister who make you feel so welcome from the moment you book. Even before we arrived, Nicoletta had very kindly made a reservation for us to take a boat from the airport straight to the hotel's very own dock on the grand canal - I would highly recommend this amazing experience. We were always greeted with smiles despite the long long hours they worked, and they were so helpful if we had questions. The breakfast with amazing grand canal views was the perfect start to every day! Our room was also amazing - a really big suite with a canal view was a real cherry on top of our stay (get in early and book to make sure you don't miss out on this). The location of the hotel is also incredible, like I say right on the grand canal in the middle of it all. There is an alley entrance so you can access the hotel on foot and take yourself wherever you fancy. There's also a vaporetto (water bus) stop very close by so you can use this to get around too. We had an incredible week in Venice and I was highly recommend this hotel for your trip - you will not be disappointed. A huge thank you for making our time in Venice perfect. One tip for plug adapters for Venice would be to check the adapters and make sure you bring the correct one (it's a 3-pin adapter you need to charge your devices).

We love the service and the people who work at the hotel. They were very accommodating. The hotel is located right on the grand canal. The breakfast was very good and all the pastries fresh.

This hotel is perfect. Location is great! All staff members are incredibly professional and friendly. I'm really glad we got to stay here. The rooms are large, cool and clean

I did a lot of research before choosing a hotel in Venice and compared all of them along the Grand Canal that was within our budget and I am so glad I chose this one. The staff went above and beyond treating us like family! I’ve never had such great service at a hotel in my life. The property is beautiful as well from the lobby to the bar and especially the room. We had gondolas cruising by our window all throughout the day so peaceful and magical.

The Hotel Danieli, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is a lavish establishment located in Venice's San Marco district. Housed in historic buildings dating back to the 14th century, it offers plush rooms and suites with views of the lively Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront promenade. Once home to a noble family with ties to Venetian doges, this hotel has been hosting notable guests since 1822.
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a week while we were in Italy for a Burlesque festival. Hotel Danieli is one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in through all of my travels. Hotel Danieli is absolutely breathtaking inside and out. The views alone are worth the cost. The service is five star in every aspect. From the concierge to the front desk staff, everyone goes out of their way to make sure your every need is met. Hotel staff also booked private boat transport to and from the hotel for us. The rooms themselves are opulent with an old world charm. In room and balcony dining every morning was the perfect start to our day. The hotel restaurant is also first class and was very enjoyable. We will return to this hotel again and again!
Tyr M — Google review
Let me start with the positive: Hotel Danieli is, without a doubt, one of the most visually stunning places in Venice. The architecture, the interiors, the ambiance—it’s like walking through history wrapped in velvet. My husband and I came for lunch at their restaurant and spent over $400 enjoying the view and the setting. However, what followed was deeply disappointing. As a content creator and influencer, I often highlight beautiful and culturally significant places for my audience. I was genuinely excited to share the magic of this hotel, especially its legendary lobby, with my followers—many of whom travel frequently and seek unique experiences in places like Venice. But I was stopped and told I could not walk around or take any photos in the public areas, despite being a paying guest. I wasn’t setting up a shoot, just using my phone respectfully, as any guest would. The tone was not only unwelcoming, but dismissive and restrictive. It felt unnecessarily rigid and, frankly, not in line with the spirit of hospitality or modern luxury service. It’s a strange experience to be in such a grand, historic place and be treated as though you’re doing something wrong by simply appreciating it. I respect private policies—but hospitality, especially in iconic places, should be democratic, kind, and gracious. Unfortunately, this experience felt quite the opposite. It left a bitter aftertaste to an otherwise beautiful meal.

My trip to Venice was truly magical, and staying at the Hotel Danieli was an absolute highlight. I was looking for a luxurious hotel that embraced its history, and this was the perfect find. It's easy to see why so many films have been shot here; from the moment you step inside, it feels like you've been transported back in time, with every detail of the preserved design telling a story. The service was impeccable and truly next level. A highlight of my stay was the breakfast terrace. Overlooking the sparkling sea, I enjoyed my breakfast with a mesmerizing view of gondolas gliding by and grand cruise ships sailing in the distance. I even had some charming little birds join me for a visit at my table, which I found was cute. My room was comfortable, cozy, impeccably maintained, and a safe retreat after a day of exploring. Hotel Danieli isn't just a place to sleep; it's an experience of old-world luxury and exceptional service. I can't wait to return.

I recently had a memorable stay at the historic Hotel Danieli, an elegant property that is truly reminiscent of a traditional European palace. Heitor from the Concierge was very attentive and helpful, and suggested many recommendations on local cuisine and sights to discover. The property boasts numerous rich historical characters and details in every corner. Interestingly, the hotel uses traditional, heavy keys instead of RFID key cards, which offer a great deal of historic charm and add a special memory to the stay. The room featured a balcony, a panoramic view, and the service was impeccable. It was a truly memorable stay, and I look forward to returning in the future.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Amazing stay at Hotel Danieli!** A historic 14th-century palazzo turned luxury hotel. Stunning Venetian Gothic interiors, beautifully decorated rooms, and balconies with breathtaking canal views. Rooftop dining with panoramic views is a must. Perfect

GREAT place! Top Hotel in Europe or in the world? We had only a cold beer and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon in the incredible bar, with wery nice staff late in October. 🥰 One local beer 33cl was 16€, not to bad for this kind of place. The interior is just WOW, wery Instagramfriendly. 👀

I had the pleasure of visiting Hotel Danieli in Venice on July 29th, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is stunning, full of old-world charm and elegance, but what truly stood out was the service. The staff, especially the front desk clerk, were exceptionally warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to assist us, making sure we felt comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience.

One of the Best Hotel Experiences I’ve Had in Italy 🇮🇹✨ After 10 trips to Italy, this was by far one of the most memorable stays. The room was not only beautifully designed but incredibly comfortable. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. I’ve never encountered such warm and genuinely helpful staff — the concierge went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We also tried the room service pizza, and it was a highlight: authentic, stone-oven baked, and absolutely delicious. A tip for future guests: I highly recommend arriving by water taxi. It adds to the experience and saves you the long walk with luggage from where regular taxis must stop. Thank you to the team for making our stay so special. I truly hope to return one day.

Our stay at Splendid Venice exceeded expectations. The room was elegant, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. The staff was incredibly attentive, providing wonderful recommendations for local experiences, and the breakfast each morning was exceptional. We look forward to returning — this hotel was truly a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Our service was SPENDID! First time here and I was so impressed. This is a luxury hotel. Our baggage carrier was so nice to carry our luggage to our room and explain everything in great detail! He went above and beyond! Bravo! Staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful and kind! Whoever serviced our room did an amazing job! We had fresh towels every day even though we did not request it. Room service breakfast was lovely and tasty! We loved our room and how spacious it was. The AC in the room was great! Great short walking distance to the Basilica and San Marco bridge! Thanks to the Splendid team for an amazing stay!

Fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Minutes walk from either Piazza San Marcos or Rialto bridge. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms very comfortable and housekeeping was excellent. The bar area is lovely looking right onto the canal. Staff are extremely helpful. Would love to stay here again.
Richie C — Google review
Great hotel, amenities, location, and very helpful and friendly staff. When we ordered lunch and the salad my wife ordered was not to her liking, the waiter took it off the bill. Very professional! The concierge was helpful in recommending and reserving dinner venues and helped navigate the unique transportation system. The rooftop bar was a little disappointing, not because of service, just the view.
Bill B — Google review
If you are looking for accommodation in central location within easy reach of everything touristy. This is it. It's based in San Marco. It's minutes walk away from st marks square, doges palace, market, grand canal, Rialto bridge, and much more. Breakfast was really good, had a variety of cereals, fruits, pastries, breads, cheeses, etc... In the lounge we ordered BLT sandwich which was amazing. There were 3 lounge areas where we sat and were pretty secluded. On 5th floor they have a roof terrace with bar which was really good to chill after having walked all day and cool off. Rooms were very clean and decor was of very high standard. The rooms were cleaned everyday which was a pleasant surprise.
Sakina C — Google review
I am giving this 3 stars because it is outrageously overpriced. We paid around US$700 a night for a canal-view room but it did not justify the price. Breakfast was not included. There was no great view and you had to stick your head out of the window to get a glimpse of the narrow canal. The room was dark since the windows offered very little sunlight. There was a very strong and foul odor in the lobby. The hotel is well-situated a few meters from St. Marco's square. But Venice in general was crazy crowded with throngs of people everywhere you go. This is not the fault of the hotel but I was happy to leave the Splendid after two nights.
David G — Google review
Second time in this hotel and all was great. Location is just three minutes from Rialto and five from San Marco. Rooms are Venice style decorated but as well feel very modern, clean and don’t smell old (as half of the other). Restaurant and lobby bar also great

Hotel Avani Rio Novo Venice offers bright and modern rooms with canal views, a restaurant/bar, and a gym. Located in the central Venice Rio Novo area, this NH Group hotel is brand new and features comfortable, well-furnished rooms with robust air conditioning. The excellent service and convenient location make it a great choice for travelers, being just a short walk from transportation hubs like Piazzale Roma and vaporetto stations.
Husband and I stayed here during our short trip to Venice and what a wonderful stay we had! Room was clean and cold, updated recently? was within walking distance to many great places to eat (although a longer walk to some of the sights but we didn’t mind! We did end up spending a whole day wandering around the entire city and walked 11 miles in one day 😅), staff was friendly annd helpful and breakfast was awesome! Lots of great food options during the breakfast whether vegetarian or vegan! Loved all the extra amenities as well (gym, happy hour TH-Sat, free water). We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next trip!

Hotel was far away from the main attractions but walking distance to the train station. The neighborhood was very quiet and not too many people walking around in the evenings. Front desk was very helpful recommending restaurants for dinner as we got in late evening. The hotel rooms were very nice but the shower got water everywhere so beware
Brooke — Google review
I loved that the hotel was close to the train station. I highly recommend this area (Dorsoduro) because it’s quiet and has a more family-oriented vibe. It’s away from the main attractions but Venezia is walkable and trust me, you want to rest in a less crowded area of the island. The hotel is spacious and modern, but art everywhere. I really enjoyed chilling in the patio and the lobby. The breakfast buffet has everything you need to start your morning. The rooms are big and welcoming. I’m going to miss the view from our room, it was so magical to wake up and see the canal through the window. The staff is so friendly, you feel right at home in Avani Rio Novo hotel. Definitely coming back.

We only had one night in Venice so we booked this to be close to the train station. It was easy to take the bus straight from the airport to the train station and then about a 10 minute walk from there, with 4 bridges/stairs to pass. Overall was convenient location for transporting our luggage. We were able to walk from here all over Venice. Plenty of places to eat within 10 mins walking, and we walked 20-30 minutes to go to the more busy areas. Very modern rooms and friendly staff! Comfortable lobby and outdoor seating area, plus water station in the lobby was very convenient.
Annie — Google review
Simple, elegant, and most importantly very clean! The Avani exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in the door, we loved this placed! All of the staff we interacted with during our stay were very kind and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and the location is in the quieter district of Dorsoduro. When we went out to eat near by, we would find ourselves amongst mostly locals which was perfect for our experience and quality of food. Proximity to the rail station was a plus too. We would highly recommend this location to anyone.
Steven Z — Google review
There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. The staff and hotel grounds were outstanding. The location is just outside the heart of Venice so it’s very quiet. The breakfast was excellent. Our water taxi pretty much dropped us off a bridge over from the from door of the hotel. If you’re going to Venice, stay at this hotel.
Jeff M — Google review
Room and service were fine. They rented us a room without letting us know they were closing amenities during our stay for a conference. Very loud and we didn’t have access to anything outside the room. Staff were rude about trying to use any amenities. Only allowed to our room and back. We book through Costco. Recommend booking somewhere else.
Phil M — Google review
what a terrible experience to end our 13 day italy trip. the location was fine, but that’s all that this place has going for it. Service: Terrible check in service, no recommendations were offered and we were clearly out of country tourists, we just felt like another number! We made ONE 45 second call the second day to make a reservation and got CHARGED two euros for it?????? When making our reservation, we were told breakfast was included, only to go down to breakfast the first morning to be told we weren’t allowed to, no solution offered, no suggestion to go to the front desk, just a “you do not have breakfast” Turn down service did not come! No ramp coming into the hotel, so after your 15 minute walk from the train station lugging all 100 pounds of your luggage across canals and bridges, don’t expect help when you finally get to the hotel, you have to lug your bags up an additional flight of stairs to the lobby - where is the ramp!?! The room: For $300 a night, you would expect the tissue box not to fall off the wall when you are using the bathroom, or for the paint to literally be peeling off the bathroom door. Careful using their sinks, mold was covering our drain! Again, for $300 a night, you would expect the 2 bottles of water to be complimentary, right??? The light switches were inverted, I couldn’t control my side, but no worries, my husband could! The shower needed a deep clean, and the structure of the shower made it so you the floor literally got soaked. If you’re looking for an overpriced bed, this is your place!

Ca' Pisani Deco Design Hotel is a hidden gem inside a 14th-century palace in Venice, offering chic rooms with art deco-inspired designs and modern elements. The hotel doubles as an art gallery adorned with original accessories and paintings by renowned Italian artist Fortunato Depero. Situated in the artistic Dorsoduro district, it provides easy access to St. Mark's for evening entertainment while being surrounded by local restaurants.
We stayed at Ca'Pisani for 3 nights - the staff was amazing. We felt like VIPs. The restaurant was a delicious and unexpected surprise on our last night as we were too tired to venture out. It was one of our best meals in Venice. The rooms are beautiful - the bedding was delicious - so important when you are traveling. The decor is lovely and the small boutique hotel made us feel like we were in our own little villa. I would highly recommend a stay and would certainly go back without hesitation the next time I am in Venice.

Great hotel, clean and tidy, and staff were super helpful and accommodating! The hotel stay even included a free private water taxi to and from Murano and a tour of a beautiful Murano glass factory. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Room (16) was fantastic. Room was cleaned daily and staff turned down the bed and shut the shades each evening. The room has electrical switches for lighting everywhere and it takes a bit to learn them all. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel prefers you to turn the room key in each time you go out. Not sure why, but it is a very minor inconvenience.

Ca Maria Adele is an ornate boutique hotel located in the quiet and art-filled Dorsoduro sestiere of Venice. The hotel offers elegant rooms and suites, each uniquely themed with opulent Venetian design elements such as black Murano glass chandeliers, rich damask textiles, and ornate furniture. Guests are welcomed with drinks and snacks upon arrival and can enjoy a complimentary breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Santa Maria della Salute Basilica.
Everything about our stay here was delightful. Beautiful decor in the Mini Palace and a lovely water view from the terrace. Very helpful staff. Delicious breakfast where and when you want it, including your room. Quiet location away from the crowds, but easy to get to the Square. Loved it!

What an incredible stay we had at Ca Maria Adele. We only stayed for 24hrs but from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had the most incredible experience. Firstly, we were kindly upgraded to a gorgeous suite on arrival by Marco with a kind note congratulating us on our honeymoon. We were so delighted - the suite was clean and modern and was a great size. The bed was large and the turndown service was so sweet (with petals and a gorgeous spray offered to help us sleep). The location is fantastic, far away from the centre to not be noisy but still close to a lot of amenities and sight seeing attractions (not to mention being right next to the Basilica). The next morning we checked out with Tomas, who kindly offered to look after our bags while we continued to explore Venice. On return, Marco was there offering us drinks and refreshments and also helping us with our journey back to the airport. Absolutely impeccable service and would not hesitate to book there again. Thank you Marco, Tomas and the Ca Maria Adele team - you truly made the last day of our honeymoon so wonderful.

Wonderful experience at this small boutique hotel. Location is off the beaten path but walkable to anywhere in the city. Rooms are spacious and perfect! No lift in hotel so need to be able to do stairs. Service is impeccable and breakfast made to order was excellent. We forgot our passports in the safe and they made arrangements to have someone bring them to us. Overall I highly recommend every aspect.

Had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel. Thomas was the person at the front desk who checked us in and looked after our every need during our stay. Upon arriving into our room, there was a minor issue with it that Thomas and his team went above and beyond to resolve (quickly gave us a free upgrade to a room without that minor issue). Grateful for the immense sense of hospitality and kindness we were shown during our stay, including a hello and introduction from one of the owners upon our departure. Thank you, Thomas and your team for making our time in Venice so special :)

One of my best hotel experiences globally. Location is perfect, in a quieter part of town, away from the hustle and bustle. Service is over the top impeccable. We felt like royalty at every opportunity starting with the first welcome. Food was absolutely delicious and room service experience was top notch. My only tiny complaint is the beds are a little too firm BUT I would stay here again no hesitation, and look forward to returning. We had another night in Venice on our return at another hotel and all we could do was wish we were back at Ca Maria Adele. B

Our stay at Ca Maria Adele was truly unforgettable — a perfect blend of Venetian elegance, intimate comfort, and impeccable service. From the moment we arrived at the private water taxi dock, we were greeted with warmth and grace. The location, tucked beside the stunning Santa Maria della Salute and just a short vaporetto ride from the main sights, offered a peaceful escape from the crowds while keeping us connected to everything Venice has to offer. The decor throughout the hotel is rich, atmospheric, and beautifully curated - every room feels like a piece of art. Our suite was sumptuously appointed, with plush linens, thoughtful amenities, and romantic touches that made each morning and evening special. Marco deserves a special mention: attentive, discrete, and always ready with thoughtful recommendations or assistance. They truly made us feel at home. Ca Maria Adele is not just a place to stay — it's an experience. We can't wait to return.
