The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester is a captivating destination that celebrates the world of toys and games. It houses the largest collection of toys, dolls, and play-related artifacts, including the prestigious National Toy Hall of Fame. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits like Reading Adventureland and Sesame Street, as well as enjoy a pint-size market and an indoor butterfly garden. The museum also features vintage pinball machines and classic arcade games for all ages to enjoy.
I highly recommend. I was surprised how large it was and how interactive it was. There were so many games (board games ann video games) you could play and so many other interactive things. Great for kids of all ages and adults as well. It had so many nostalgia items from toys dating back to the 1800's to more recent. We went on a Monday and it was not busy, we were there almost 5 hours and probably still didn't see everything. We ate at the food court and got pizza and a chicken salad wrap and both were really good.
Tabitha R — Google review
The Strong National Museum of Play completely lives up to its name — it’s pure fun, learning, and nostalgia rolled into one. We went as a family with both adults and kids, and every one of us had different favorites — which says everything about how much there is to do here. The exhibits are hands-on, creative, and thoughtfully designed, from the classic toys and video games to the pretend play areas and immersive displays. You could easily spend the whole day here and still find new things to explore. The only downside was that the bathrooms could have been cleaner — no soap first thing in the morning and a few stalls looked like they hadn’t been checked since the night before. Hopefully just a timing issue, because everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the layout was well-organized, and the entire experience was memorable from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back — we’re planning for another full day!

This is the best place for kids (and me!)😁 It has the largest areas of play for kids at different ages. It entertains, teaches and inspires my kids. It's such a cool place and I would love to come here a few times a week! I wished the membership was cheaper though.

Best children’s museum I’ve ever been to! We stopped on our way back from the Midwest, going to New England, and my husband is already wanting to plan a trip to Rochester next year, just to spend more time at the museum! My son who was 1.5yo when we visited, LOVED it! I like how there’s activities for kids at every age (even adult nostalgia), and there’s even an outside area for kids to run around in (enclosed).
Emily — Google review
Outstanding National Treasure in the middle of Rochester! I went to the museum with my 4 year old granddaughter on Monday when senior rates are in effect. It is not cheap and family membership makes more sense than paying admission only a few times a year. It takes several days to appreciate the enormous amount of exhibits housed at the Strong. Parking is $10 on top of admission without a membership. I have been to art and science museums around the world and this museum blew me away. Can't say enough good things about it. Go, just go. Had such a great time that I didn't take many pictures; I was too enthralled with the displays and activities for young and old.
Gerald S — Google review
Had a great experience at the Strong Museum! My kids had a blast—there were tons of fun activities for them. I especially enjoyed seeing the classic games from the ’90s, like the pinball machines. Brought back memories! Pretty sure the new generation has no idea how to play some of those, but it was fun showing them.
Lani O — Google review
This was the first time visiting and well worth it. The history of games is deep and will keep you very entertained. The staff was very friendly and the food choices varied. I would have liked access to a reference room with books and possibly a game software catalog. Definitely worth visiting again. Great museum for one or the entire family.
Elliot G — Google review
This was our second time visiting with our son. First time he was 2 years old and he had a great time. This visit he's now 7 years old and was able to enjoy different parts of the museum that cater to his age. He even got to have fun in some of the same sections he did as a 2 year old. This museum is really one of my favorites. It's fun for the whole family, not just the little ones. The history of video games and the history of board games really stands out for me. Very clean and easy to navigate. Highly recommend! My son would also like to add his words: "Most museums we only go to once, but this museum is far away from us, and we want to go to it a lot of times. The Strong Museum of Play is really fun. I love all the sections and could spend a whole day there. Can't wait to go back!"

The George Eastman Museum, located in Rochester, NY, is a multifaceted museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of Kodak co-founder George Eastman. The museum features a Colonial Revival mansion where visitors can tour and take photos in the gardens. Inside, there are current exhibitions showcasing contemporary photographers' work and a permanent collection of photography equipment and images dating back to primitive daguerreotypes. The museum also houses a theater for rare film screenings.
We had our wedding ceremony at the George Eastman Museum on 5/25/25, and it was truly a dream come true! From the very first day I met our coordinator, Allen Buell, I knew we were in great hands. Allen is not only prompt, thorough, and incredibly communicative, but he’s also personable and has a wonderful sense of humor—qualities that made the entire (sometimes stressful!) wedding planning process so much easier and more enjoyable. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, especially in May when the purple wisteria is in full bloom and the gardens are pristine and beautifully manicured. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the breathtaking scenery and the elegant atmosphere. I would highly recommend the George Eastman Museum for not only weddings but any special event. The combination of a gorgeous setting and exceptional staff made our day unforgettable!

We loved the tour! It takes about 45 minutes and I strongly recommend it. The mansion is well-preserved and you'll definitely feel the atmosphere that this place had a century ago.
Unbiased R — Google review
The George Eastman Museum is an absolute gem in Rochester, and my recent visit was outstanding from start to finish. The museum itself is beautifully preserved, blending the elegance of George Eastman’s historic home with fascinating exhibits on photography, cinema, and innovation. What truly made the experience memorable, however, was the docent-led tour. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also engaging, weaving together history, personal anecdotes, and fun facts that brought Eastman’s story to life. They had a wonderful way of explaining details about the house, gardens, and Eastman’s legacy in a way that kept everyone in the group interested. I especially enjoyed being taken into the garden, where the docent, Marianne highlighted design elements and shared thoughtful insights I would have missed if I had toured on my own. It gave the whole visit a personal touch and made the history feel vibrant and accessible. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend taking a docent-led tour—it elevates the entire experience and gives you a much deeper appreciation for both George Eastman and the museum’s collections.

The Eastman Museum was the highlight of our visit to Rochester! The entire place is beautifully maintained and spotless, with stunning interiors that truly reflect its history. Our tour guide was amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience so much richer with their insights. There’s also a cozy café and engaging activities for kids, which makes it great for families. The museum is fully accessible for visitors using wheelchairs and offers large free parking, which was very convenient. Overall, it was the best activity we did in Rochester, and I highly recommend visiting!
Naz A — Google review
This was a great museum and mansion that far exceeded my expectations. As someone else also said, the guided tour is what makes it fun. The stories about George Eastman are eye opening and personal. I really enjoyed looking at all the cameras, video cameras, and technology through time. Eastman was a genius! His home and gardens were so different from other homes of 5he early 1900’s.
Shelly P — Google review
I love history and this place is full of it! The mansion is in pristine condition. Definitely get a tour for the docent was excellent. The gardens are beautiful, as you can see we had a perfect day for seeing the grounds. The Eastman Kodak museum is connected to the mansion...so much film history. Read the description of the large camera pic I posted, really interesting.

Amazing museum, house and gardens! We were lucky to hear the organ being played which was very pleasant and making the atmosphere special. Beautifully preserved rooms. They also have a cafe inside the museum. Plenty of parking.
JitkaKac — Google review
Very kind staff, beautiful property and nicely arranged historical rooms. We found the experience overall not worth the price - especially on the photography/video side. That said, we aren’t huge connaisseurs in this field. Maybe better suited to photography aficionados or if you follow a guided tour?

Seabreeze Amusement Park, the fourth-oldest amusement park in the United States since 1879, offers a delightful mix of high-speed thrills, kiddie rides, and water attractions. With over 70 rides and slides for all ages, this Rochester gem promises a fun-filled day for families and couples alike.
We visited Seabreeze in August 2025 with our 3 kids (ages 1, 3, and 7) and had an amazing time! Tons of rides for young kids, plenty of shaded spots, and even areas where you can enjoy the real “seabreeze” from the lake. The water park was perfect for little ones with safe, fun splash areas. Clean, well-run, and super family-friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
Nitharsana L — Google review
Very fun local amusement park, featuring the world's oldest continuously operating roller coaster! A bit like taking a step back in time, Seabreeze doesn't have a 6ft mouse, on-site hotels, or fine dining. It also lacks $95 ticket prices, massive lines, and crowds that are actually town populations. What Seabreeze delivers aplenty is small-town amusement park charm and family fun. The rides vary from typical carnival rides, to those appropriate for small children (including a beautiful carousel), to thrill-seekers' delights. The water attractions range likewise across parkgoers of different sizes and swimming levels. The food is largely old-fashioned, amusement park fare--think pizza and hamburgers, with a wide variety of snacks. For healthier or vegetarian options, it's likely best to bring your own cooler, which is an option embraced by park rules. (Just remember to leave the glass at home!) The water park, in particular, can be a bit difficult for those with mobility challenges, but most of the park is fairly accessible. The smaller size and occasional breathtaking lake views help keep Seabreeze manageable for those with sensory processing difficulties, but as with any kid-frequented area, I suggest earplugs. Shaded picnic areas are also available, and these provide some relief from sun and crowds.
Alethia M — Google review
We visited Seabreeze in early August(2025) and this was the most fun we had as a family in a long long time. We have been to various amusement parts but none of them was enjoyed by everyone in the family as some of them are good for small kids and others for big kids and few for adults(some only for big kids and adults). However Seabreeze stood out as it was great fun not just for my young one and teenager but also me and my wife. we spent a good 9 hours there and want to go back again and will probably do so as soon as we can. The water park and all rides are lot of fun, the mini circus/stunts were a pleasant surprise. Overall staff are cordial and helpful. Decent food options on premises which are priced decently as well. Only downside in the entire experience was that they were only accepting cash for lockers which was a bummer, not sure if this was a temporary situation. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed this place and hope to visit again.
Kedar G — Google review
I just can’t tell you how much I love this place. I lived 2 miles from it in 1978, and when I went back to visit, it was almost like stepping back in time. There were plenty of newer rides, but the classics were still there and unchanged. A perfect place for a family to enjoy a day. Thank you Seabreeze, for bringing back such wonderful memories and making me feel like a kid again…
Heather S — Google review
We had such a great day at Seabreeze! The kids had an absolute blast on the rides and water slides, and we were really impressed with how clean and safe the park felt. The lines moved quickly, which made it easy for everyone to enjoy more rides without a long wait. The only thing that would make the experience even better would be if there were rules about people leaving their belongings on the picnic tables to “reserve” them. We had a tough time finding a place to sit and eat even though many tables were sitting empty with items on them. Aside from that, everything was wonderful and we’ll definitely be back.
Tim — Google review
Ordered tickets online and used codes and only paid 102$ for me and my two kids to visit on a Wednesday for the entire day. Open 11am to 8pm. Waterpark 12 to 7pm. Tons of things to do. Lots of staff and helpful employees.
Stephanie F — Google review
Kid friendly all ages. Large enough for the day without being overwhelming. Lockers start at 1$ per open and take quarters. We recommend water shoes as the anti slip on pavement and pool floors is rough on the feet. You can leave shoes at the bottom of water slides and collect after you come off. Parking is free. Park is spotless every morning to start the day. If you buy tickets online you can save 3$ per ticket. They have dippn dots ice cream starting at 7$ You can't take phones in pools or water slides. Lines are standardly short if it's not a Saturday or holiday weekend. On a Sunday 0-10 minutes wait for most rides. Water slides take longer. What appear to be short lines don't move fast. You can bring your own food and drinks in. No glass bottles. Sunglasses allowed on rides and slides at your own risk. Lazy river was cold water. Food options available, but nothing exciting. A classic favorite for 3 decades for my family.
Trista S — Google review
I've been coming here for 35 years. The only thing that seems to change are the People. Lol. The "Ride-Waiting Lines" take Forever to ACTUALLY get to the Ride itself. By the end of the day, We Counted how many times we got to Actually Ride on Coasters/Water Slides and it was only 9 times. We were there from Open until Close. Overall, Satisfied but Not.

Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester is a compact yet diverse zoo that houses over 90 species of animals, both native and exotic. The zoo's ongoing transformation aims to introduce more animals and attractions while expanding conservation and education programs.
Went to zoo brew and want to shout out Kathy, who drove us in the golf cart from the parking lot to the entrance as a part of the VIP package. Kathy was the highlight! She’s awesome. I recommend paying for VIP. Get closer parking, shorter or no line for entry, and two drink tickets. Was pleasantly surprised to see so many of the animals out and about! Lions, elephants, giraffes, otters, snow owl, and more.
Diane M — Google review
My family and I enjoyed all the changes that have been made. Last time I visited it was in 2017. It was nice to see junior volunteers staggered through the zoo and interact with our kids. They taught our kids some fun facts at each station.
Anna R — Google review
We visited the Seneca Zoo on a very hot day, and most of the animals were staying cool in the shade, which made it a bit hard to see or spot them. The zoo itself is clean and family-friendly, and we especially loved seeing young teens at tables sharing interactive information about the animals—it was a nice, educational touch. That said, costs can add up quickly. A family with one child might manage fine, but with three kids, it gets expensive fast. Most souvenirs and food were pretty pricey. It’s a fun outing overall, but I’d recommend going on a cooler day and budgeting ahead if you’re bringing the whole crew.
N G — Google review
It's always a fun, edu time at the Zoo. Animal enclosures seem clean, and the animals always seem comfortable and at ease. I always appreciate staff giving facts and making the trips personal. The food is good, bathrooms are clean, the kids are always having fun with the climbers or water area as well. We fed the Giraffes, it was a wonderful experience led by the staff.
Hannah B — Google review
The Zoo let you get very close to a variety of animals. Even allowing you to go behind the scenes into the animal hospital in the back, and see the both the indoor and outdoor enclosures for some animals to view them during colder days. I loved the very simple trail that lead you through all the exhibits, made it easy to stay on track and not get lost. The only downside is there was a very foul smell unlike anything I’ve ever smelt at zoo. It was present upon entering the property, parking lot, and all throughout the zoo itself.
Marie M — Google review
It's really small, so they don't have a lot of animals, but for kids, they have most of the important ones, like elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, the otters are fun to watch. Never saw the polar bear. It's clean, the staff seem nice, but it's a small zoo in a small city. $12.00 seemed steep for what you get, but I know it's expensive to feed and care for the animals.
Steve Z — Google review
I really enjoyed seeing all the animals with my family. We learned about many facts and behaviors of several of the animals. I appreciate the care that is being given to the animals as well as continuous education on what's best for them.
Karen C — Google review
An enjoyable day trip. Perfect for children. A linear park. Clean and well maintained. Walked through the zoo. Rode the tram car back to the parking area. Park lands surrounding the zoo are worth a trip back to explore the river gorge and walkway over the river.

The RMSC (Rochester Museum & Science Center) is a three-floor learning center that offers hands-on exhibits for kids and a planetarium showcasing films and star shows. The museum features the newly rejuvenated Strasenburgh Planetarium, providing immersive outer space journeys inside its four-story dome. With a focus on history, humanity, and scientific achievement, the center offers captivating exhibits like the Electricity Theater's dancing lightning and monthly simulator rides.
The service was exceptional, with friendly staff available to assist and answer questions. One of the highlights was the short line for the entrance and not crowded space which made it easy to explore without feeling rushed. The variety of exhibitions was truly impressive. From fascinating displays on the history of Native American and African American contributions to science, to engaging Lego, Music creation and mechanics exhibits, there was something for everyone. Each section was well-curated and offered a unique perspective that educated and entertained. Overall, this museum is Rochester, NY gem for anyone interested in science and history.

The museum always delivers! It provides many always changing experiences and setups. My children love running around learning and playing here. There was a themed event happening this weekend which they do often and it added even more fun to the mix. There were vendors and tables set up to learn about things in our local community. Always clean and refreshing. Would being my kids again and again.
Erika S — Google review
Nothing too fancy to see here. The museum has three floors, but most of the interesting stuff is on the second floor. General admission is $23, and the senior/student discount is just $1 less, which really doesn’t make much sense. For this price, I didn’t feel it was worth it. Compared to all the science museums that I've seen, this was honestly my least favourite! The souvenir shop was also disappointing, very limited selection, and I couldn’t literally find anything I actually wanted to buy.
Muhammad Λ — Google review
We had a great time visiting the Rochester Museum & Science Center and the Strasenburgh Planetarium! It’s an amazing spot for families, especially with curious kids who love to explore and learn through hands-on fun. The museum itself is packed with interactive exhibits — from exploring science and technology to diving into local history and nature. It was super engaging and educational without feeling like school work. The Strasenburgh Planetarium was a real highlight. We caught a show in the dome theater, and it was both relaxing and awe-inspiring. The presentation was easy to follow for all ages. It definitely sparked a lot of space-related questions on the ride home! The staff was friendly and patient, and everything felt clean and well-maintained. There’s a small café and a gift shop. I’ve noticed some families brought lunch from home and ate in the café area, but we drove about 4 minutes away to grab fast food. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day learning and having fun as a family. Highly recommend if you’re in the Rochester area, especially on a rainy day or when you’re looking for something meaningful to do with the kids! Clean, educational and fun. Highly recommend!
N G — Google review
I love it here and look forward to going again! There was so much great information on display in creative ways. While I went on my own, as an adult, I noticed that there were many interactive tools for children to learn from. I especially appreciate how both the museum and planetarium center the voices and experiences of Indigenous people.
Christina W — Google review
As far as a MUSEUM goes this one is fantastic. That being said, this place is meant for field trips and schools, as it's way better than a school day, but comes up short for a family day. I scoured reviews and looked for photos of exhibits but came up with very little information before we went. I took a 9 year break from RMSC and decided to take the kids back this week. The kids are 27 , 11 , 7 and 5 years old. Though they tried their best to keep a positive attitude, this was misery for them. We covered the entire museum in under 90 minutes. Though something here or there would get their attention for say, 60 seconds, we really struggled here. We arrived at 12:15 and there was NO parking. They are charging too much for this museum. It's a museum. It's mostly look at the exhibits and walk around. And frankly kids don't want to do that. 10-12$ pp would have been reasonable. They are charging "play museum" prices but come up beyond short. The museum is amazing. For a school trip. For a learning environment. But we do not consider this a fun family day.
Trista S — Google review
I visited the RMSC with my 2 teenage boys. I was worried that they'd be bored there but I was pleasantly surprised! Even though they know how and why things occur, they still had a blast playing and tinkering at all the learning stations. We had a very thorough lesson on earthquakes, watched a rocket launch propelled by liquid nitrogen and stood in a faraday cage while electricity arched towards us at the Electricity Theater. Science sure is fun!
Tammytj — Google review
Had a great time. Museum has interactive activities for the kids. The day we went they had an engineering workshop along with a small medical workshop. This place has 3 floors of activities. There is an elevator for quick access to all the levels including the ground level where a small dinning and snacking area is located. They also have lockers for rent. Plenty of parking

Additionally, the venue hosts various events including drag brunch shows.
Picture taking was hard due to lighting. We found this place through a website we follow called Atlas Abscura. When we travel, we like to find non-touristy places. This venue is absolutely AWESOME. We so wanted to stay for the tour that is generally not open, but husband had recent back surgery and just couldn't do more walking. A definite on your must see list.

If you're in Rochester and it happens to be a Friday Saturday or Sunday, this is a must visit venue. It's a huge former manufacturing facility renovated into a place that shows art and holds events. If a world-class Art gallery and an amazing event venue had a baby, it would be Artisan Works. This is at least a 2-hour walk through filled with all manner of Art in all forms of media, vintage cars, themed rooms, paintings and sculptures, photography, you name it and it's probably here or represented. I even spotted some Andy Warhol prints as well as a very large collection of Rochester's own Mark Groaning's work. Definitely come by and check this place out. Also of note, every Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. Artisan Works has a thrift sale and you can find some really really amazing work as well as incredibly low-priced items there. Items change and are refreshed every week.

Probably one of the most unique places in Rochester! Take a rainy day and spend a few hours being entertained. The Frank Lloyd Wright room is my favorite.

First of all, this posting is from Brian, Pam's husband. ARTISANworks is a special place and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Pam and I started attending events and auctions (including anniversary celebrations of friends) at ARTISANworks what must be a few decades ago now and we've always found it to be an enchanting environment. A good portion of the art and sculpture we have in our home is from ARTISANworks including an "ass" stool that i bid on while quite inebriated during one of those famous early auctions that Louis hosted. It's still in the basement if anyone is interested! Kudos to Kim and her staff for continuing the great work at ARTISANworks and for expanding the breadth of offerings and performances over the past frew years. We always enjoy visiting Kim and we'll always remember Louis in our hearts. Keep up the fantastic work and any chance in the future of getting the City to allow you to reopen that rooftop bar? Gosh, loved that place!

Museums
The Memorial Art Gallery, located in Rochester, is a must-visit for art and history enthusiasts. The museum boasts a vast collection spanning over 5,000 years of history on a 14-acre campus. With more than 12,000 objects in its permanent collection, including works by renowned artists like Rembrandt and Monet, the gallery offers a well-balanced representation of art through the ages. Visitors can explore everything from mummy relics and antiquities to contemporary exhibitions.
A very fun time! The Gallery has a wide breadth of media covered from ancient Greek and Egyptian works to a large hall of contemporary pieces - many by local artists. There is even an immense pipe organ located on the second floor encompassing an entire wall of the largest gallery in the old portion of the building. It's definitely a fun day trip, especially if you're a fan of art that ties into local history.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Memorial Art Gallery. It has a decent and diverse collection that’s worth exploring. However, a couple of things could be improved. Many paintings on the first floor didn’t have any descriptions, which made it hard to fully appreciate them. Also, the ancient Middle East section is placed in a bad spot in the museum. Besides, it has very beautiful manuscripts and relics, but the lack of lighting didn’t do them justice (shown in one of the photos). Still, overall a nice place to spend a few hours.
Muhammad Λ — Google review
A gem of a place. I went knowing very little about the Gallery, other than it was organized thematically. I found works that I've only seen online. To say that my heart felt deep happiness doesn't describe that visceral feeling when art touches you. It's different for everyone. And indeed, there is something for everyone! Many time periods, styles and regions are represented: thematically, by countries, techniques and centuries. The presentation on the Italian Baroque Organ was marvelous. To be surrounded by the genre paintings, made it easier to imagine that this was part of daily life. Be sure to check the time 3pm on the actual date, not the general description that incorrectly says 3:30pm.

We love this museum both inside and out! We have taken so many pictures in their outdoor sculpture park! We most recently went for their Pride celebration. They have scavenger hunts for the kids both inside and outside! The Rotating gallery is always worth checking out! ;)

Well arranged and comprehensive gallery for a medium-sized city. Particularly great selection of Renaissance paintings, some great post-impressionist works. The organ is spectacular. Stunning building as a backdrop. Great display of local, contemporary artists.

Ontario Beach Park is a beloved beachside destination featuring a historic carousel, swimming and boating opportunities, as well as rentable shelters for gatherings. The park hosts the annual Rochester Harborfest with various activities such as beach volleyball, sand sculpting demonstrations, car shows, boat parades, and more. Situated at the entrance to the Genesee River, this picturesque spot offers sunbathing, hiking trails, and volleyball courts.
A gem by Lake Ontario! This park is impressively well-maintained with thoughtful infrastructure—ample parking, clean restrooms, a small splash park for kids, wide lawn areas, and nearby restaurants. The soft, fine beach sand is a pleasant surprise and makes for a comfortable shoreline experience. Honestly, it’s better managed than many paid state parks. Highly recommended for families and casual visitors alike.

There was a fenced in Splash Pad for kids. Around 5:00 several adults joined the kids. Spacious picnic areas. The Merry-go-round under a pavilion was a big hit for kids. The boardwalk out to the lighthouse was a long stretch to walk in 93 degree heat. It was 🔥. The swimming area was secluded to a small area due to lack of lifeguard staff, so it was very crowded in the swimming zone. The shoreline could use a little cleaning and the water was murky to me. The kids said the farther you go out the clearer the water was and it was cold. I chose not to get in, but to watch and enjoy the fresh air. 93 degrees 🎯.

The Susan B. Anthony Museum & House is a pivotal part of the history of Rochester, New York. It preserves Anthony's life and work as a leading advocate for women's rights and equal pay. The museum features interactive exhibits that provide an in-depth look at her political career and the impact she had on society. The site of her 1872 arrest is also featured prominently in the museum, providing visitors with an understanding of this pivotal moment in American history.
Wow! Great tour with Jackie. Home had many original Susan B Anthony artifacts. Fascinating tour, great gift shop and friendly staff.

The Susan B. Anthony Museum & House is a beautifully kept piece of history in our own backyard. My wife, her cousin and I decided to head over on a sunny and hot Saturday afternoon. We went into the museum to buy tickets and browsed for about 10 minutes until the next tour time started. Armani was our guide and she was lovely. She shared many fun facts along with the history that made our guided tour fun. I had no idea why Susan was always pictured so you only saw her side profile and now I know. The home is filled with many historic items, some from when Susan lived there while others reflect the time period of when Susan was alive. The time and energy that went into the house when she lived there is astounding. The third floor was one of my favorite areas. The lady with the alligator purse nursery rhyme was a personal favorite that I had never heard before my tour. Both the museum and the house are air conditioned. We ended up visiting the cemetery afterward to visit both Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass’ graves. Maps are provided at the museum if you are interested in doing that after a tour.

We had a lovely time at this museum! We bought tickets in advance for the house tour, but it wasn’t busy so you probably don’t need to. The tour was quick and succinct, but we felt like we saw everything and learned a good amount! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, great with engaging some of the younger kids on the tours, and did a great job relating Susan B. Anthony’s historical work to modern times and events happening in our country today.

Both my husband and I just want to say thank you for keeping her legacy alive. I've wanted to visit the museum for a few years. But being self-employed got in the way. We made our reservations online and showed up early. Private and street parking are available. Even your property caretaker was a wonderful man. Since we were early, he asked if we wanted to visit the park down the street where we could see a statue of Susan with Frederick Douglas having tea. We did stop later. Our tour guide was amazing 👏 to remember so many details of a person's life and to inform us with such energy and excitement. I felt like Susan was going to walk inside any minute. The passion and wisdom were truly felt. We both have issues with steps, and she waited patiently and offered a chair for both of us. The house is filled with multiple pieces owned by both Susan and her mother. I could mention so much more! If you believe ♥️ in equal rights for everyone, this place is for you. I'm so sorry I can't remember our guides name 😔

We did not take the house tour. The museum is tiny, but the display is thorough - Four walls of a small room covered with info boards, containing photos and snippets of her historical timeline. I read everything slowly enough to absorb and finished in about 30 minutes. So, 5stars for a quick and free event stop and the friendly reception from the lady at the front desk. We were on our way to the airport and it was perfect for the time we had to spare. There is also a reception area, gift shop and restroom.

Nature & Parks
Parks
Cobbs Hill Park is a 109-acre public park in Rochester, offering a variety of outdoor activities for visitors. The park features a reservoir, sports fields, and a hilltop trail that provides stunning views of the city. In winter, it's a popular spot for sledding and other snow activities. The park also boasts numerous hiking trails with scenic viewpoints and an abundance of lilac and oak trees.
It's a gorgeous park with lots of trails, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a walking loop around the fresh water reservoir (.69 miles a lap and a wonderful spot to walk your dog), and paths for bicycling if you wish. It has incredibly beautiful panoramic views of the City of Rochester and I would highly recommend visiting, even if you only have a few minutes. If you want to park by the baseball diamonds or tennis courts, or hike the hill to the reservoir, the Culver/Norris entrance is the one for you. There is street parking was well as a generous parking lot near the tennis courts you can walk around to access the path to the top of the hill for the walking loop. If you don't want to make the hill trek, the park entrance from Highland/Monroe is the one for you. There is a driving path all the way to the top, with lots of available parking. There are some handicapped spaces next to the radio tower building at the top of the hill and it's a short easy walk to the benches to rest and soak in the views of the city. I can't say enough about how beautiful those views are; and it's a perfect spot for a picnic or spontaneous announcement. ☺️ Don't forget to check out the architecture on the Cobbs Hill Water Works building at the top of the stairs. Built in 1908, it has lion sculpture heads, Greek key patterns carved into the stone, and other little architecture presents that show the beauty of the era.

This place is great for all kinds of stuff from walking to biking to dog walks to sledding. Just be a good human and keep it clean and nice. The sledding is outrageously fun and there are a variety of steepness grades to choose from.

If you’re looking for a location to watch a beautiful sunset behind the Rochester city skyline, this is it! It’s a cool place to walk around the reservoir or to just sit and relax on a bench and enjoy the scenery. This is also a great place to take senior pictures and/or wedding photos.
Cynthia L — Google review
This park has two distinct areas. The recreational activities are mostly at the bottom of the hill, while the top holds one of the best views of Rochester. This place is best enjoyed at sunset, and attracts quite a following of photographers on a nightly basis. If you’re at the top of the hill, walking the reservoir, there are paths that take you to the old water towers if you follow the edge of the parking circle. Look for desire trails along the grass/tree edge. Multiple towns fireworks can be viewed from here on the Fourth of July as well. I am not certain if the firework viewing is endorsed by the park but last year it was very busy. Years ago a drum circle used to come up here. I am not sure if they still do because I haven’t seen them in the last few years however the acoustics up there, made it awesome. The interior of the water towers also has amazing acoustics.
Nacho B — Google review
I absolutely love walking my dog here. The views are amazing, and I get options. If I just want to walk the paved path around the reservoir, I can, but if I want to challenge myself, I can do the hill or walk in the grass to let my dog enjoy sniffing around.
Selina R — Google review
Love this park right in the middle of the city. Basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball diamond, picnic and grilling area, dog park, playground and play area for kids, hiking trails, and the walking path around the reservoir. Also has the skyline view of downtown. Highly recommend this park.

Corbett's Glen Nature Park is a serene escape nestled in Brighton, just outside Rochester. This enchanting park features winding trails that meander through lush woodlands, wetlands, and vibrant meadows, leading to a charming waterfall that serves as a perfect backdrop for photography enthusiasts. As you explore the well-maintained paths, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife that calls this area home—native birds, deer, and even foxes may make an appearance during your visit.
This is such a beautiful little park with 2 small waterfalls, well-kept trails, and tons of wildlife. Most of the trails are easily navigable, even for someone with mobility issues like myself. However, the trails are not stroller or wheelchair friendly. There aren't any restrooms, but there are stores with public restrooms nearby. Park is dog friendly, but you are required to leash your dog AND clean up after it...not everyone is respectful of these rules. Definitely bring mosquito repellent, as there's a lot of water and dense forestation. Overall, this is a really peaceful, pretty place!

A great scenic area, not too far from the city of Rochester. Corbett's Glen has a few trails to explore, but I usually stick to the main pathway with the waterfall area and the tunnel. Experience was ok tickets were $13. Chairs are reclining type almost look like lawn chairs. Bought tickets online but had to get in line at the box office to get the actual tickets for someone else to scan and let us in. Additionally, the experience was not a 360 degree view like other planetarium’s we’ve been to.
Jayz24981 — Google review
Walked out half way through the show. They no longer use the projector for projecting, just to hang a trans flag. I'm not sure what that has to do with space. Comfy chairs with speakers were replaced with garbage. If they over sell tickets, there are lawn chairs they pull out. Theater was filled with small children who could care less about constellations. Thank god the tickets were only $11. Digital imagery was terrible. Show started 10 min late with little kids crying. Just a horrible experience all around.
Dan O — Google review
Went to Beautifica. Show was amazing. Sitting was awful though and I hated the new plastic lawn chairs that replaced the old reclining ones. I literally thought I had come in during renovation and the chairs must be temporary. I was wrong and those hard, non comfortable chairs are the ones they actually wanted. I did not get a full screen of Beautifica as my chair did not allow it. I mean can we start a GoFundMe for proper chairs or something?
Cynthia S — Google review
We accidentally purchased tickets to a CC show on Black Holes. The CC was huge and really distracted from the visuals so unless you are hard of hearing avoid those. That was our fault. The show was very good but the seats were terrible esp if you are a shorter person. My wife was extremely uncomfortable and left with a sore lower back and a headache. Not the experience we remember from the days of great seating. We would love to return but not until the seats are replaced.
Bill O — Google review
I went there for the Pink Floyd laser show for the first time probably since the 80s. It's all changed. The chairs are absolutely and extremely uncomfortable. The basically kind of cheap lawn chairs. There is no proper ventilation in the theater area. I had to leave! There is no refund so I count my losses! I just explained that I will not ever come back. And I am very serious! Very very terrible experience. Why they ripped up those chairs that they had with the speakers on them from several years ago I don't know. But with the improper ventilation in the theater and the uncomfortable chairs experience! I definitely will not be going back
Matthew B — Google review
We recently went for the Mesmerica show. The planetarium was conveniently located with plenty of parking. Inside there's hands on things to experience before entering the actual dome area. Inside the dome area, there's chairs that resemble/feel like outdoor cloth lawn chairs, where the upper half reclines to allow better viewing of the ceiling and surrounding area. There is no leg/foot rest to the chairs. The room is quite chilly, so dress appropriately. The bathrooms are in the back of the building and maybe not the most conveniently located. Overall, a nice place to visit.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Ontario, the Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse is a captivating piece of history that dates back to 1822. Standing at an impressive 40 feet tall, this lighthouse not only served as a crucial navigational aid for ships entering the Genesee River but also offers visitors a chance to ascend its tower for breathtaking views over northern Monroe County and the expansive lake.
Constructed in 1822 of stone and decommissioned in 1881 and then returned to active service in 2014, the Charlotte Genesee Light is a lovely example of some of the earliest lighthouses. 40 feet tall and in an octagonaly shape it is next to but not attached to the keeper's house. The light was originally lit by whale oil lamps but those were replaced by a proper Fresnel lens in 1853. Not open for tours on this late weekday afternoon but the grounds are open and you can have a proper walk around. Even on a somewhat cloudy day, it is a beauty! There are a number of captions and other things to see on the property including the original well, the original keeper's house and more.

Nestled along the Genesee River, Turning Point Park is a captivating 275-acre oasis just north of downtown Rochester. This park boasts an impressive array of natural beauty, featuring wooded trails perfect for hiking and biking, as well as a stunning two-thirds mile boardwalk that gracefully spans over the river. As you stroll along this scenic path, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of both the water and the city skyline.
This hike has just about everything you could want. The boardwalk goes over marsh land where you can watch painted turtles sunbathing on cat tails and floating logs. You can watch the barn swallows fly around playing tag and doing barrel rolls mid air. If you're lucky you might even see the swans & their little ones paddle by. After this your path leads to a couple miles in shaded woods that eventually gives out to the great lake. You can grab a bite to eat or a beer at Pelicans nest or even bill grays on the water.

Visited in July. Found parking in the lot. The trails and boardwalk provide such beautiful views. This quiet green waterside park often has lots of bird activity, fish and turtles in the water, and people tend to be relaxed strolling along. It’s nice for short visits or longer- going all the way to the beach as I did. Be prepared for one challenging incline between the parking lot and boardwalk. The rest is pie 😊

Warner Castle, located in Highland Park, Rochester, is a stunning historical site built in 1854. Modeled after a Scottish castle, it was the residence of Horatio Gates Warner, a prominent figure in Rochester's history. While visitors can't enter the castle itself, they can explore the beautiful gardens surrounding it, including the renowned Sunken Garden designed by landscape architect Alling DeForest.
As a World Solo Traveler; I chose Rochester NY as my Latest Destination. (Also to visit Family) I have always been intrigued by ANY Historical Landmarks or Distinguished Locations. Even though the interior was in the process of being renovated and the entry was closed, I was still allowed by permission to walk around the exterior of this Castle and Take Photos. The Architectural Design and Craftsmanship of Warner Castle is Simply Breathtaking. Not very many Actual Castles remain in this Condition in the United States. Walk around and just absorb the energy and the beauty of this place.

Houses the Landmark Society so you can't tour the inside. Built in the 1800s it's an interesting building. The sunken garden behind the castle is unique and worth a quick visit.

Rented time for wedding photos at the Sunken Garden and wanted to find where it was. It was an absolutely magical place, even better than the pictures I’d seen online. As for the Castle itself, they had a sign that read “No public tours at this time,” so I wasn’t able to enter but will look to make reservations, if available to do so, in the near future.

The Genesee Riverway Trail Extension is a scenic 157-mile route that begins south of the Pennsylvania border and winds its way north, passing through picturesque towns like Mount Morris, Geneseo, Caledonia, Avon, Rush, Scottsville, Chili, and Henrietta. The trail merges with the Erie Canal at Genesee Valley Park before flowing through Rochester and reaching Lake Ontario.

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the heart of Rochester, New York, Mount Hope Cemetery is a serene and historic site that dates back to 1838. As the first municipal Victorian cemetery in the United States, it boasts an array of stunning marble and stone monuments set amidst tranquil woodlands and beautifully landscaped gardens. This remarkable resting place is not only listed on both the New York State Register of Historical Places and the National Register of Historic Places but also serves as a final home for many notable figures such as Susan B.
Listed in the National Register of Historical Places. One of the must visit spots in Rochester, NY. Great place for hiking 🥾 and biking 🚴‍♂️ Dog friendly 🐶 🐩 Home of the burial sites of famous Americans-Rochesterians Susan B. Anthony and Fredrick B.Douglas .

A godsend during Covid as I used to live nearby and spent most afternoons strolling around the cemetery. It really is a magnificent place! You can easily gather the history of Rochester from Mount Hope Cemetery if you play attention.
Ro — Google review
What has happened to this beautiful cemetary? The upkeep and landscaping are awful. Tall grass between and around headstones, I counted easily 25 knocked over or broken stones just to the left of the entrance! It looks like an abandoned spooky movie set. This used to so well maintained and historic part of Rochester. What a disappointment when visiting Rochester! Please take the vandalism seriously, these are people's family members!
Amelia L — Google review
Among others, the Mount Hope Cemetery is the final resting place of women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) and abolitionist Frederick Douglass (1817-1895). It is 196 acres in size and contains some 350,000 interments. It was founded in 1838. The cemetery is very drivable (at low speed, of course) and that's a good thing as the more famous graves are some distance apart. Please be respectful when you visit - it is an active cemetery and there are people here laying family members to rest.
Bruce K — Google review
This is a beautiful cemetery with fantastic landscape of trees and graves. Many famous historical figures. I could wander around in here for hours, that's for sure! So peaceful!
Theresa J — Google review
The guided tour through the cemetery was very informative and beautiful. There were many stops to talk about different people and their contributions to Rochester. The tour had some "off path" areas, but much of it was on a gravel path and easy to navigate. The Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery is a wonderful nonprofit organization to help restore the cemetery and maintain the stones. The tour was 90 minutes and costs $15. They have various tours throughout the season and we are themed! Worth checking out! Sarah our tour guide was very nice and informative, she kept it interesting and kept everyone engaged. The cemetery is open daily for walking through to enjoy nature. There are paved paths throughout that would be easy to navigate with strollers or wheelchairs!
Laura P — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking. Visited for the first time in early November to pray for the dead. The foliage and the entire cemetery was picture-perfect. On Voting Day, prepare to leave your sticker for Susan B. Anthony. Oh, and definitely wear your walking shoes!
Mary C — Google review
My family has had a plot in Mt Hope Cemetery since 1958 so I have been there often.. We have nine family members resting there. I cannot properly describe my disappointment with the upkeep of the cemetery over the past year. Today, toppled gravestones which appear to be caused by vandals, over grown grass between many, many headstones. The cemetery is no longer a place of beauty and serenity. Besides this being my family's resting place, it is a National Landmark. Shame on Rochester for letting it settle into disarray. I am saddened and angry.

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is a serene and beautifully maintained resting place located in Rochester, NY, nestled between Lake Ave and Dewey Ave. Visitors often express their gratitude for the compassionate assistance provided by staff members like Marian, who help families navigate the emotional process of selecting burial plots during difficult times. The cemetery offers a tranquil environment with lush greenery, towering trees, and even wildlife that adds to its charm—making it an ideal spot for reflection or remembrance.
Holy Sepulchre is a beautiful, peaceful cemetery. The grounds are very well-taken care of. It's a lovely place to visit especially in the Spring and Summer. There are lots of big trees and animals roaming around. During the holidays you can order special Christmas wreaths to be placed. My father, grandparents, and great-grandparents are all buried there. We always enjoy our visit to Holy Sepulchre.
Classic A — Google review
My parents are buried side by side at Holy Sepulchre. My sister and I have added flowers and round, flat stones with personalized messages to the site in the past 4 years without incidence. The stones were tasteful and unobtrusive. One stone declared my father's remorse and devotion to Mom. Another was an actual passage from a reading at Mom's funeral. This summer all of the stones were removed without notice (I know they have our contact information based on the many mail requests for donations over the years). They were apparently deposited at the office in a location where people could 'shop' and were repurposed. Our belief was that once the cemetery received our payment for burial services and internment their future obligations only required that they cut the grass. Apparently, the money also entitled them to run a flea market with items from my parent's grave site.
David W — Google review
They could do a better job at keeping the area looking nice. I went on July 4th and the Veteran area was a mess. I had to dust off many graves to read the names of the Veterans. Grass clippings were completely covering most of them. I would expect better, especially on a Holiday that is for them. Other areas had a similar issue. They need to edge the grass around the graves so that it's not growing almost completely over the grave. Afterwards, blow those areas off. This is common sense and it's sad I even have to mention it.
Jenna L — Google review
Generations of family are buried here. The grounds are generally well taken care but not this year. Grandparents, children's father and husband are buried in St Bernard Grove and it is not very well kept this year. Dewey Ave side is nicely done but not the Lake Avenue side. Disappointed to say the least. Don't know what's going on this year but this year I'll be weed whacking the plots myself. So much for perpetual care. Don't know if they are behind schedule or they have newly hired people in training but this is very sad

I have three generations of family at your Cemetery. I'll say first it is a beautiful place. But I agree wholeheartedly with the other posts here about you ripping off our heart sent gifts to our loved ones at the graves we have purchased. Other cemeteries have postings that they clean off Graves every six months.. they post the dates that they do their cleanup. So family know that their gifts left at graves can only be there for a specific amount of time. And have due warning when those items will be removed if you don't do so yourself. That is fair to everyone involved. We can honor our loved ones.. And you get a clean slate Cemetery every few months. It's about the respect for our families buried there. You ripped off my mother's little expensive stone angel that my son left her and threw it in a trash heap. It was sitting on the ledge of her Stone for 5 years . Who was that harming ? It looked is though it was a part of the stone itself . Is that Catholic charity? Or dominance? Rethink your policies.

Lower Falls Park is a beautiful city park located just north of downtown Rochester. While viewing the falls from different vantage points isnt easy, the park offers several spots to enjoy the waterfall from. With plenty of space to play and a tranquil atmosphere, this is an excellent spot for a peaceful afternoon stroll.
This place was really good we hiked around and saw the falls only down side was the bridge was under repair so couldn’t walk over the spillway.

Small park and little walking and nice Fall view. I parked at Rose garden and took a trail walk to Lower Falls. It was a bit muddy after the rain. It was an easy walk and little misty when near the fall. It was not much at the park, just some seats and the view to the water. Good for a little short walk
Aupair P — Google review
Very dicy, and dirty, encampments, graffiti, garbage, and the over growth was to the point you couldn't see much...it was sad to see
Sandra H — Google review
It has the potential to be one of the best parks in the city, but sadly it's just another park in Rochester that decays faster than it is maintained. Still worth exploring, but the excess of trash and lack of maintenance and revitalization is saddening, and frankly, makes it impossible to immerse yourself. Perhaps one of the most upsetting things about Rochester is that it usually falls short when it comes to taking care of the beautiful spots they already have. I'll always be perplexed by the fact that Rochester is a city that is dying for more tourism, but does not capitalize on the fact that they have two gorgeous 100-foot waterfalls right in the city. Three stars is generous, but that's because I'm sentimental.
Dave D — Google review
There was construction so we could only got to walk so far. There was no signage saying the trail was closed. Additionally the spots you could stop to see the waterfall were so overgrown the kids couldn't see anything. There is graffiti and trash everywhere. If you do hike down unsanctioned trails to get to the spillway it was a beautiful view!

Scenic spot
Nestled just outside Rochester, Durand-Eastman Park is home to the intriguing ruins known as the White Lady's Castle. While it may appear as mere crumbling stone walls at first glance, this site draws visitors from across the nation due to its haunting legend. According to local lore, a ghostly figure of a reclusive woman roams the grounds at night in search of her missing daughter. To reach this captivating spot, head along Lake Shore Boulevard where you'll find parking near Lake Ontario.
My family and i love hiking here!! Spring, summer or fall we enjoy the trails all around the area, especially around the little lakes. Great for my little one, who's 3, and my oldest, 13.

A fun little place, but a bit smaller than I imagined from all the hype elsewhere. It's basically a single retaining wall that resembles a castle from on direction. If you climb the stairs to go "inside," there'd nothing above except a relatively open field.

We were driving Rochester to Flamington and found that the road is next to Lake Ontario, and observed so many cars parked in parking lots this is around 12 AM, we stopped and walked across listed lot of people talking. Suddenly we found a shore with lot of people having pit fires and enjoying their time. It’s a great place where we can spend good amount of time watching sky full of stars and also Lake Ontario unlimited waters. Pls do visit if you ever get a chance. Note: you can also watch meteor shower

The White Lady's Castle is really just an old stone wall with turrets across the road from Durand Eastman Beach. If you climb up the stairs to it, you can get a nice view of the lake, and there is a nice little wooded area.

Discover the historic Genesee Brew House, a renowned brewery in Rochester that has been operating since 1878. Despite its association with classic beers like Genny Light and Original Cream Ale, the brewery offers a wide variety of brews. The adjacent three-story Genesee Brew House provides an opportunity to savor their beers and enjoy delectable food. Don't miss the chance to take in stunning views of High Falls and the Rochester skyline from the rooftop.
Wow, we really, really liked this place a lot. Didn't even realize it was there until we pulled in the parking lot for the High Falls terrace. I would have liked a tour, but they said they didn't have any ar that time. There is basically a museum with all kinds of history on the lower level with the gift shop. And, the gift shop has everything and anything you can think of, and good prices. Had to have a beer with my meal since it's a brewery. The flatbreads we got were good as we went out of our comfort zones to try something different.
Brian D — Google review
I was visiting on a business trip from Texas. The venue is great. Get a reservation to sit on the balcony and see the waterfall. We tried a few different beers and they were all good. Food was okay but rather typical. Beer was the focus. Enjoy
Christopher M — Google review
A friend recommended Genesee Brew House after I mentioned wanting to check out downtown Rochester. We ordered the mushroom burger and the Spaetzle Mac & Cheese. Maybe my expectations were a bit high because it came so highly recommended, but overall, I was disappointed. The burger was overcooked, and for $17 I was surprised it came with chips instead of fries. You can substitute fresh fries, but it costs an extra $3, which feels a bit much. The mac & cheese had good cheese flavor, but it was so heavy and rich that it was hard to finish — it tasted more like something reheated in a microwave than freshly made. The service was also just average — not terrible, but not particularly friendly or attentive either. The view from the place is nice, but for the food quality, service, and price, I don’t think it’s worth it. If I go back, I’ll probably try something else on the menu.

First time there, very pleased with our visit. We had a group of six out on the patio (it fills up quick I recommend getting there closer to 4 of possible). It was spacious, clean, had nice ambiance, wasn't too loud, and our waiter Collin was very attentative. The Soft Pretzels, Carnitas Nachos, Steamed Buns, Blackened Shrimp Tacos, Blackened Shrimp Pasta and Onion Smashburger were all very good. If you like nachos and pretzels, definately try those.

Atmosphere and area is really nice. The food could have been better. While options are lacking, the shrimp in my dish were really tasty but I only had about 5 of them. The pasta needed flavor. Ordered a Caesar salad that I would put right at 3 also.

SO CLOSE to a 5* but couldn’t get there. Staff and facility are spectacular. Beer wall is so much fun and a great way to try and test out lots of beers. I love a simple menu and the nachos were amazing and the chips stayed perfectly crisply the entire time we ate. I found the dinner options lacking in creativity although they were cooked very well and tasted great. Will definitely return!

Tapas 177 Lounge in Rochester, NY offers a diverse selection of global small plates in a dimly lit space with a courtyard and salsa dancing. The restaurant serves up Spanish flavors and ambiance, featuring fresh in-house chips and salsa, as well as delectable hors d'oeuvres like prosciutto-wrapped artichoke hearts and salmon with mascarpone mousse in puff pastry.
Better than average cocktails—tried two and thoroughly enjoyed both. The bartenders clearly know what they’re doing. I visited with a large group and we just ordered a bunch of tapas to share. The food menu is diverse and thoughtful, with great options for folks with specific dietary needs. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for good drinks and inclusive dining. I also liked the Spanish theme throughout the dining area.

The aranchini was very good, the fried eggplant in the Meatball with eggplant was crispy, and the Sea Scallops entree was seasoned just right. It did have a very very dark lighting so I couldn’t see what the food looked like but it was a pleasant experience overall! (However, Tapas 177 < Redd)

One of the few restaurants in downtown Rochester that opens until late even on weeknights (10:45pm last kitchen order, dining room closes at midnight, bar closes at 2:00am), Tapas 177 is definitely a must for Spanish (not Mexican) tapas (small plates). Upon entering from street level is the main bar area. Walk down the stairway (stairs are steep so watch your step) to the spacious yet intimate dining area. There's also outdoor seating during warmer months. The Spanish style interior is a pleasant escape from the gray dullness of Rochester. The vibe is perfect for first dates, intimate & group dining and the dim lighting sets the perfect mood for a culinary delight. I reserved a table for 10 for an after recital get together. Only a 6 minute drive from Eastman School of Music. The tapas menu has something for everyone including non-Spanish dishes like Korean bulgogi, Indian naan shrimp pizza, etc., but I didn't expect literally everything to be good. The highlights were the empanadas, P.E.I. mussels & the oh so yummy arancini. The fried brussel sprouts were crisp but not oily & were accompanied by a delicious creamy sauce. Quality ingredients & well designed ensembles. The cocktail menu offers a diverse selection & the Spanish glass of red wine was extra dry & absolutely delectable. Kudos to the chef for preparing & presenting all of the plates with thoughtfulness & expertise. The entire staff was professional, friendly and went above & beyond to accommodate our party's late night feast. Street parking is limited. Highly recommended. Support your local small businesses & restaurants 👍

Always a pleasure visiting Tapas 177. The vegan menu options are a highlight. They have a variety of choices for every course, which is a delightful find as most restaurants have 1 or 2 total. The vegan dishes are just as thoughtful and delicious as the ones on the non-vegan menu. The menus are very approachable with options for everyone. The atmosphere is wonderful and cozy. I've been for date night, for group dinners, and even a Bachelorette party, and it was always the perfect restaurant to choose. The service has been as expected or above and beyond... a good balance for what was needed by our group. I always bring my out of town guests for a delicious meal in the heart of Rochester.

We were in Rochester from NYC for a conference and hosted a networking event in the downstairs party room at Tapas 177. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Chris was incredibly helpful during the planning process - flexible, responsive, and thoughtful about accommodating dietary needs (including gluten-free and vegetarian options). The space itself is beautiful and well-suited for groups. The downstairs room feels very FUN but professional, private and inviting, with the added bonus of an outdoor terrace. Our hosts, Andrea and Rachel, were fantastic—warm, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect throughout the evening. The food, service, and overall experience were fantastic. Highly recommend.

The Lamberton Conservatory, located in Highland Park, is a modern reconstruction of a 1911 building that houses a diverse collection of plants including palms, ferns, exotic tropical plants, and desert cactus. Despite its seemingly small size, the conservatory offers a wide range of unique and mesmerizing plant species that thrive within its glass walls. It provides an escape from the cold weather and offers a tropical environment for visitors to enjoy.
Awesome conservatory! There are many tropical plants, trees, and flowers! Also many turtles, tortoises, mice, birds, and koi fish can be seen throughout. Wer were here in summer and saw some plumeria flowers, various cacti, and other really neat plants. They've done a great job here, and the entry fee is very cheap. Definitely worth checking out!

This is such a fabulous spot. I love bringing my friends from out of town.kids will love it too. Great for all ages. Stroll through Highland parks many great trails and then relax here. $4 for adults. Seniors over 62 $2. Fantastic plants, flowers...even turtles and quails. Enjoy!
Susan A — Google review
Small, cute little conservatory in Highland Park. Very relaxing place for a slow walk (so you don't miss anything) or to sit on a bench and just enjoy the plants and little animals. Very inexpensive, just $4 per adult
Ruth D — Google review
I enjoy seeing all the well-cared for plants and the wonderful creatures scattered throughout. Pricing is great and I haven't had issues finding parking.
Chel C — Google review
The conservatory was super quaint and filled with unexpected creatures! It was $4 a person (adult) to enter and we spent about 20 minutes looking around the different sections.
Angelica H — Google review
We really enjoyed the peaceful walk thru. The flowering plants were beautiful. And seeing the quail and turtles was fun.
Katie L — Google review
The Conservatory is a nice quiet place to visit. Plants are rather exotic in some cases. Poinsettias were great. Turtles were very interesting. How do they keep them in those little spaces. Some plants were in need of help.

We were highly impressed by this place. And excited that not only are there beautiful plants, but also some turtles and tortoises and birds!

Embark on a captivating journey through history with the Sam Patch Erie Canal Tours. Named after the legendary daredevil, these narrated cruises offer an immersive exploration of the canal's rich heritage and scenic beauty. From early May to mid-October, visitors can enjoy special wine cruises for a leisurely experience along the Erie Canal and Genesee River.
Even if you're local to Rochester but have never done this boat tour on the Erie Canal, go do it. Such a fun and relaxing activity and a great way to take in the canal.
Emily S — Google review
It was a great tour. Learning about the canal. Going up and down in the lock. The crew helped my mother on and off the boat. They let her on first because of the need for help. For a small outfit, it beats the bigger operations on the canal.
Andrew M — Google review
This was a nice trip! Captain Beth and the crew (Jean, I think) were very hospitable. I navigated poorly and was caught by. A freight train and missed my appointed time. Fortunately, the folks were very accommodating and since there was room on the next trip so they rebooked us. The trip itself was nice. We cruised to Lock 32 and went through, turned around, and came back past the mooring point and down river for a short distance where we turned around again and retuned to the start. The canal was pretty. The boat is not air conditioned so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend sunscreen for daytime summer trips. All in all, I’d recommend this trip (and the gelato place where it starts and ends!).
Mike S — Google review
What a unique travel experience! The Sam Patch tour was such a great way to get to know the area, and the team was so kind and knowledgeable. To top it off, we had the chance to experience one of the Erie Canal's famous locks! It's so wild to me how much work and knowledge went into creating a system like this, and that it's still here for us to experience today. Highly recommend booking a tour!
Alyssa, W — Google review
We had a great time aboard the Sam Patch boat for a kids cruise. My 10 year old and 3 year old loved the experience. It was geared great for kids. The boat was a smaller than we expected (but was nice being smaller) and was mainly indoors (small area to stand outside). Going through the Lockport was a really neat experience.

relaxing informative cruise on the Erie canal. Crew were entertaining and knowledgeable scenery was quite nice
Joanne P — Google review
It was so much fun to play “tourist” in our own town on Friday night. We took an evening cruise on Riverie, the new boat in the @cornhillnavigation fleet. Captain Larry and crew took good care of us and narrated the sights as we cruised the Genesee River and the Erie Canal for 90 minutes on a perfect summer evening. We ended the evening with margaritas and Mexican dining at @la_casa_roc in the South Wedge. I highly recommend it. #roc #eatlocal #summervibes
Kristin R — Google review
This is a small boat tour. I wish there had been better writing on the website about food and beverages not being allowed on the boat. They were also out of a lot of items (end of the season, so difficult to restock), but it would have been nice to just reprint the paper. Otherwise the trip up the lock and back down the Erie Canal was great. They had fun history to share and song at the end!

Nature & Parks
Durand Eastman Park is a sprawling 977-acre county park designed by landscape architect Bernard H. Slavin in 1888. The park boasts five lakes, with Durand and Eastman Lakes being the most prominent. Visitors can explore the arboretum, which features a variety of mature trees in different valleys. Additionally, the park offers trails for hiking and walking, including a section of the Irondequoit Lakeside Trail that provides a challenging workout.
The serene, picturesque scenery is forever changing and is perfect to while away the hours in all four seasons. There are bbq’s, picnic tables, ample parking and beautiful trails to explore. The only gripe I have are the irresponsible dog walkers who ignore the signs to keep their dogs on leads.
Shazbo — Google review
I always knew about the trails and lakes at Durand Eastman Park but all I have to say is wow. I'm big on fishing and I was there last week for the first time in years and it is beautiful. The water is clear and out of the multiple little lakes that are there each one has multiple different areas where the fish like to hide out and relax. I am glad my irondiquoit raised wife showed me this spot. Very relaxing and chill. I'm dreaming of the time I go back...definitely on Monday or Tues 10-13 or 10-14. The beach is also great now that its back in action. I am addicted to this area of irondiqoit now.

Took my dog here while traveling and staying in hotel. It was a great place to walk. This was during winter and trails were clear which made walking through snow easier.

Great park for viewing Fall colors. We hiked both loops that go around Eastman and Durand lake and got amazing photos. There is also a small beach access near the parking lot for catching sunsets. Great time to spend an evening.

Durand Eastman Park. Legend and Lore. Since the nineteenth century, Rochesterians have witnessed the White Lady, Lady of the Lake, or Eelissa gliding through the area that is now Durand Eastman Park, down the park’s adjacent roadway, or over nearby Lake Ontario. While the legend has many variations, there is a core narrative at the heart of the story. First, the setting. Many believe the White Lady lived in the so-called “Castle by the Lake” or “White Lady’s Castle”—now a pile of stones on the NORTH shore of the lake. We know these ruins, in fact, were never a castle, but rather a refectory (i.e., a dining hall for lake visitors). Regardless of its real history, its present-day crumbling, stony remains evoke the eerie feeling of a forgotten gothic castle, which in turn inspires the pervasive local legend that surrounds it. Now to the legend itself. A woman and her daughter once lived near what today is Durand Eastman Park, some say in the White Lady’s Castle. One night the White Lady’s daughter went for a stroll on the lakefront and never returned. Ever since, the mother, clad in a white dress, her two wolfish white hounds at her side, has been scouring the lakeside for her daughter. The grief-stricken White Lady either searched until she perished herself or holed up in her castle and died alone of a broken heart. The White Lady’s crumbling castle is all that’s left of her in our mortal realm. But especially on misty nights, locals report seeing the White Lady’s ghost shimmering over the lake or wandering down the roadside. What happened to her daughter is a matter of some debate. Some say she ran away with a lover; others say she was killed. Some say she was killed by the very same lover she ran away with, while others say she was attacked by a gang of men. The White Lady seems to believe a man was involved, one way or another, as the White Lady is said to be spiteful to men but protective of women, and no fan of the park’s frequent romantic rendezvous. The legend is still very much active in oral tradition, frequently told in the Rochester area with regularly reported sightings. Supposedly even local police officers have encountered strange, unexplainable experiences around Durand Eastman Park. But unlike some ghostly hunting grounds, this one is free, open to the public, and welcomes and encourages visitors to experience the White Lady for themselves.

I wish I could leave 100 stars. My dog was diagnosed with osteosarcoma Friday, which will be fatal. This restaurant had no idea. I called Friday to make reservations and everyone was immodestly warm and welcoming. My dog is almost 200 pounds so when a place says “dog friendly” they aren’t always so friendly when a mini horse shows up. Webster and the staff were SO incredible. We sat outside and were swarmed by bees and immediately the manager and staff made a place for us inside - even with my Boomer boy. The drinks and food are out of this world. I’m so incredibly thankful for the kindness of everyone at this restaurant. The live music is just an added layer of an amazing brunch experience. Thank you SO much!

4.5/5 Breakfast Bliss: Brown Hound Downtown Saturday morning led us to Brown Hound Downtown, a hidden gem. Charming decor, cozy atmosphere, and bustling energy set the tone. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making recommendations and sharing stories. Delicious food, expertly brewed coffee, and extraordinary service sealed the deal. Attentive staff made our breakfast experience unforgettable. Highly recommended; we'll be back!

Phenomenal service and food. Webster is a fantastic guy. Checked on every single table to make sure everyone was enjoying their meals and if there was anything he could do. Our server was quick, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Very different spot than the norm inside the museum which makes it even more unique. Prices were fair as well. Thanks for the great experience guys! Will be back!

Nice place! Clean, bright and pleasant! Service was excellent- friendly and attentive but not smothering. Food was good, but in our opinions, not great. I'm a big fan of Poutine, and after a visit to Hawaii I also became a fan of their similar dish, Loco Moco - and variants of both were on the menu. The Tennessee Poutine featured pork belly, and I was right that eggs over-easy on top would make it better. It was good - maybe a little salty for my taste. The thing with Loco Moco I have is, given the choice between rice and a potato - I'll usually pick the potato. I thought it was a little dry, needed more sauce, and we both thought the pickled onions were a little "oniony" and not pickled enough. Certainly not inedible, good not great for us.

I had a great visit to Brown Hound Downtown at the Memorial Art Gallery! The chicken and waffles were really good, and Allen Sanders, our waiter, made the experience even better with his excellent recommendations and engaging personality. We were warmly greeted at the door by Webster Blackmon, whose calm and kind welcome set the perfect tone for our visit. Great food, wonderful service—I’ll definitely be back!

This place is all around a good spot, and they are very busy. Staff were friendly, food was good, coffee was great. My problem is their menu is very limited for brunch and doesn’t have very many breakfast options. There are people in these reviews that talk about corned beef and hash, or eggs Benedict. Neither were on the menu when we went. I had chicken and waffles that were very good. Overall it was a fine place, I would go back.

Max of Eastman Place is an upscale restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Rochester, offering seasonal American cuisine in a classy setting. The venue boasts modern and stylish decor, with on-site parking available for convenience. While some reports mention slow service and limited hours for the on-site restaurant, the food receives praise, particularly the appetizers. The menu features dishes such as grilled salmon, New York strip steak, and seared scallops. Additionally, outdoor dining options are available at this location.
Max’s was recommended to us for dinner while we were attending the Rochester Jazz Festival. I can’t say enough good things about the service, atmosphere and food. The seafood dish I chose is now one of the top 2 seafood dishes I’ve ever had. I travel often and that’s says a lot. First time here on NYE and it was awesome. Really cool atmosphere. Yummy draft beers and drinks. Only complaint is there could of been more indoor seating but they had a ton of people in there. It was fun. Food truck had really good pizzas. I will definitely go back sometime and try more of the IPAs. Beer flight and food across the street looked good but it was closed that night. Plenty of outdoor seating which is awesome but not when it's snowing so I definitely recommend this place in the summertime. I bet it's awesome. Really chill place. I like it.

Rohrbach Brewing Co. Railroad Street Beer Hall is a renowned craft brewery in Rochester, NY, founded in 1991 and inspired by a small German town. It offers weekly tours and features a brewpub with house beers and a German-American menu. With over 30 years of experience, it remains true to its roots, offering two dozen craft beers on tap, cider, kombucha, and house-made root beer paired with delicious wood-fired pizza.
Love this place. The massive beams and old factory vibe is cool. Excellent beer, as has been their tradition for so long, plus excellent food. The fish fry is unique with what appears to be a final roasting or grilling of the fish and fries to give it a nice blackened crunch. Tasty stuff! We were very happy to find the place not too crowded on a Saturday evening so it made for a very comfortable visit.
Bruce P — Google review
Excellent brewpub. Good beer line up. Good food to accompany the beers. We had Cosmic IPA and Space Kitty DIPA. They were good beer. Wood burning oven produce nice pretzels, soft and chewey with peanut mustard sauce. Nice, thin crust pizza, and dry rubbed spice wings were great staples to go with beer. It was a nice night out. We will be back to try some more beers when we are in this area again.

While visiting Rochester, we went to check out Rohrbach Brewing Company. We sat at the bar, and they had an impressive beer selection. For my first beer, I had the Helles Lager, and then I had the Cosmic Krush Hazy IPA. They were both great beers. We split the pretzels, and it came with peanut butter mustard and beer cheese. This is a cool brewery.

Loved this brewery. Great, friendly atmosphere, beer flights and yummy pizzas. You can take a tour as well. I have been here a few times and try to stop in any time I'm in the area.
Theresa J — Google review
The space itself is really beautiful and they have a lot of beers but…the food was meh. I went with a group and tried the nachos (actually very good), baked Brie (fine), fish tacos (not good) and beef on weck (tasted like nothing and felt like chewing cellophane). The service was very good as well! And it is kid friendly with lots of space, games, etc. (ironic to say about a brewery!) So I would recommend if you’re a beer fan and want to try a bunch.
Stuart D — Google review
Overall we had a good experience. 6 of us came for a late lunch on a Saturday. There was plenty of free parking and plenty of space inside. The atmosphere inside is really cool, and you can even take a brewery tour if you want. We were able to seat ourselves. The layout is a little awkward. They have tables and hightops that have seating for about 12 people. There are no small tables so we just took up about half the large table. (We couldn’t sit at the bar bc we had littles). Out server was friendly, but wasn’t super quick at getting drinks or refilling empty drinks. The menu is a little smaller but there was still plenty to choose from that would appease a variety of people. They also had a kids menu which was a plus. Randomly they don’t have French fries. Most of us had pizza, and I heard nothing but good things! Each pizza would be good for 2 people. They are a decent size. Would return.
Megan T — Google review
Went here for the first time the other night. Atmosphere was nice a lively. Waitress was nice and made sure we had everything. I got the cauliflower crust pizza, it was good and flavorful. The beer selection was good as well. Took a star off because they kept squeezing people next to us at the long table in the middle which was a little awkward since there was no space between us but everything else was good.

First time for my visit this lovely gallery. Congratulations Emiliano Diaz! State of the City exhibit was amazing! The Rochester architecture series was astounding! The other artist, both upstairs and downstairs had some amazing work as well. $2 entry fee for non members was well worth the evening. Had a $3 chardonnay and had a lovely moment. One exhibit was a video, I stood in a room for a little and was entranced by the projected videos on the wall. Great exhibit on graffiti and community ties to local community.

Came to 6x6 fundraiser and it was a great time! I stayed downstairs and got to see all the amazing art featured in this exhibition! They told me there were studios upstairs but I was with a group of friends and family, didn’t want to get too far. So much to see! I didn’t know it was $5 to enter but good to know for next time, there was a line to get in we were standing out the door. Small gallery with small rooms attached for the tons of people cycling in and around but I liked the bathroom they were clean besides one of the two toilets in woman’s bathroom was broken but they were attending to it. Great time I recommend but be aware of surroundings in this area when leaving at night, lots of bars.

What a gorgeous time capsule in ROC! Add this stop to your local explorations indeed. There is such a romantic feeling in atmosphere as you stroll through well maintained garden pathways. The sunken garden insights historic imaginations of all kinds as well. Not too much walking, and there are generous benches throughout the property if you need to rest. The house is an incredible gem as well.

Sunken Garden in Rochester is a beautiful, scenic park that offers a serene escape right in the heart of the city. Its tranquil atmosphere and picturesque landscapes make it the perfect spot for photography. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll or a stunning backdrop for photos, Sunken Garden is a must-visit.
Sarthak T — Google review
This was close to Highland Park so we decided to check it out. There were only a couple flowers in bloom when we went in mid-May. The parking area is small.
Carol J — Google review
Nice place. Most the time it seems to be booked for private events. After that it seems like it's a free-for-all for the photographers doing people's photos. Couldn't even walk around to look at everything and fully enjoy it. Probably won't be back until we figure out when the "off season" is. If it'll even have 1

Park
Meridian Centre Park is a delightful 24-acre oasis nestled along the Erie Canal, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. This charming park features well-maintained sports fields for baseball, lacrosse, and soccer, alongside a newly updated playground that opened in May 2021. Visitors can enjoy scenic hiking trails that meander through woodlands and connect to the canal, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls or picnics.
So fun! So many trails and different kinds (in the woods and just a simple trail by the actual park). Cute place, there is a small park right next to the fields so if youre a mom with a kid playing soccer or baseball, you can have another kid playing at the playground while watching the game. Super convenient, all parks should have that set up!
Alexandra M — Google review
Playground good but there really isn't trail access. Not safely at least. Steep slope into large loose gravel 3-4in rough stones into grass isn't trail access. Basically the erie canal trail access is entirely unmaintained. Definitely not safe to bike with a toddler on board. Take Winton rd to meridian cut through parking lot.
Drew S — Google review
Nicely manicured fields. 2 baseball fields and a softball field. There's a nice clean brick building as a restroom. A lot of parking spaces. There's also a hidden tennis court behind the trees.
Nance V — Google review
Mud! My gosh, it's been a swamp there for weeks going on months. Drainage issue maybe, but it's nasty. The restrooms are usually open which is nice, they have some small bleachers that have an obscured view of the field by the yellow bumper on top of the fence. It's just ok at best, unpleasant if it's rained in the past 3 months.

Great park for playing sports or for light hiking

Neat and clean playground for kids..Restrooms are there.Fireworks ,stalls ,live concerts and activities for kids on July 4
Vasumathy V — Google review
Cute little playground (all new since may 2021) baseball, lacrosse & soccer played here... Has hiking trail and connection to the Erie Canal and a tennis court. Plenty of parking and a good place to catch the fireworks during the Fourth of July celebration. There are bathrooms there but open only during late spring til end of summer season and possible only open during game times...but may be open all the time through the good weather.
Michelle N — Google review
My workplace is adjacent to the park. This is a typical town park, with several soccer fields and several very nice youth-only baseball fields. There is also a decent playground for young children. There are several short woodland hiking trails that connect to the Erie canal. Overall, a nice place for a picnic or to take the young children for some fresh air. No pavilions, but there is a nice restroom building.

The baby shower hosted last Saturday at Fairport Brewing Company was a resounding success. As an event planner, I carefully chose this venue for its appealing aesthetics and affordable prices. Thanks to their generous offer of no room fee, we had a substantial budget to provide the guests with excellent food and drinks. Kristen, the coordinator, was highly professional and readily available to address any concerns or inquiries. The staff members were attentive and efficient in serving the large group of attendees.
In September, we lost a dear friend unexpectedly. We were looking all over Rochester for a place to have a celebration of life in his honor. After a few weeks of bad luck trying, a friend suggested Fairport Brewing Company and Meadery on University Ave. It turned out to be the PERFECT place!!! They literally could not have made the things easier. The layout was perfect. There was a great stage for friends and family to go up and grab the mic for some shared memories. Kristen, Tim and the rest of the staff were beyond accommodating! And the beer.... well the beer was amazing! The whole night came together better than we could have imagined. I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to them for any event your looking to book, or just stopping in and sampling some great beer in a great atmosphere. A very heartfelt thank you to Fairport Brewing. If I could give you 6 stars, I would!

We recently hosted our 10-year reunion at Fairport Brewing, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect for our event. The atmosphere was vibrant and cozy, making it the ideal setting for reconnecting with old friends. The selection of craft beers was impressive, but also having the option of other beer, wine and cocktails with something to suit everyone's taste. The brewery's team went above and beyond to accommodate our group, providing excellent service throughout the evening. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our reunion. Thank you, for making our event memorable and enjoyable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time with great beer!

My family hosted our dad’s 70th birthday party at FBC, and the experience was amazing from start to end! Exceptional staff & management. The owner Kristen was always available for communication and helpful ideas! She helped us brainstorm signature cocktails and even made a digital sign to display on the tv that matched our theme! The bartenders were attentive, friendly, skilled, and helped with set up, music, and slideshow on the TV’s & were great with all the guests! The space is great for hosting a party of any size! We enjoyed playing darts and corn hole in the front room also! I would definitely recommend hosting a party here!
K J — Google review
I hosted my future daughter-in-law’s bridal shower here with only a two-week window to plan, and I’m so glad I chose this venue! Kristen was incredibly helpful and kind—she got everything booked for us quickly, and I’m so thankful. The space is clean, modern, and has a relaxed, welcoming vibe with great ambience. There’s a consultation fee and a small refundable deposit, but no other rental fees, which was a huge plus. Everyone had a great time! My only wish is that we had a little more time to set up and hang out. Other than that, it was perfect!
Dawn S — Google review
I was able to host an awesome 80s prom event this past weekend and what an awesome venue to host it. Kristen, the event coordinator, was helpful with every detail and made planning my event seamless and fun. Also the bartenders Hilary and Mary were fun and engaging with my guests. If you are looking for a place to host an event look no further, this is it!!!!
Stephanie H — Google review
Had my fiance's 30th birthday surprise here and it was 10000/10!! Staff was so friendly, drinks were delicious, the help along the way of planning the party was so nice, everything was easy and everyone had such a good time!! Thank you thank you! Will definitely have another party here in the future!
Jamie C — Google review
A hidden Gem! We hosted a networking event here and everything went great! 5-star customer service! Event Coordinator Kristen was very nice & made sure this was a seamless process. Our Bartender was amazing and helpful. There were no issues and my guests were very impressed and loved the space. Can't wait to host another event here!
Love B — Google review
This space was amazing! It was stress free to book and to plan my event. Everyone was so helpful and our bartender, Hilery was fantastic. We definitely had more than enough space for all our guests and the venue didn't even need any extra decorations. We had plenty of time to set up and take down. All afternoon my guests were telling me Fairport Brewing was a wonderful place to have a party. I am sure if I need to have a party again, I will definitely come here. The only downside (and it's not really big) is some people had a hard time finding it. In my invite I made sure to tell everyone it is not in Fairport but University Ave. I also wish there was a sign hanging on the front of the venue so people definitely could see it as they drive back. The negative is not even a real negative, just a suggestion. It really was a wonderful time.

This classic ride reaches speeds of up to 50 MPH and has a height restriction of 48 inches. Very smooth for is age and a nice amount of hills also you get great airtime and you can't see anything in the tunnel and I like that

I LOVE riding the Jack Rabbit! It is a 102 yr old wooden coaster in local Rochester Amusement Park, Seabreeze. It has a large hill first, followed by a smaller hill. A turn, then another down, up ,down. A turn and then into a dark tunnel where you go down and up back into the daylight. It is fast!

The Jump Off Apparel is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Upstate New York. The owner, Moezi, and the staff are known for their professionalism and willingness to negotiate prices. Shoppers can expect high-quality apparel from well-known brands at reasonable prices.
The best store in Upstate NY where all the stars go rappers singers basketball players football players and hustlers from all over everything is authentic and the staf including Moezi the owner is very professional and the will work with you on price
Bilal A — Google review
I wouldn't buy a thing from these people. They are not licensed by Nike or any brand, for that matter, to be a sneaker dealer! They are selling replicas of all your favorite sneakers and for super inflated prices. I'm actually surprised people still shop there! Every single shoe is a knock-off. The same goes for the clothing. I would give them some type of credit just for having a clothing store in an impoverished neighborhood, but they are not there to be a part of a challenged community. They are robbing people blind! What's worse is that these are people of Arab descent, selling hip-hop clothing to the Afro-American community. We don't see them establishing doing this with their own people in the communities they live in.

Both parents have passed and we've had nothing but things to say about their service. Would highly recommend.
Carmen M — Google review
If you are planning a funeral, for yourself like my mom did 20 years ago or for a loved one that just passed, my advice is do not use McGee Monuments. Don is a typical sales person and tells you what he thinks you want to hear. He doesn’t care about your loved one and will show no respect to you. I have an email from Don dated May 23rd and he states mom’s stone will be placed “within the week”…her stone was finally placed September 9th, just 3 days shy of a full year since she passed. Don blamed the cemetery and Don blamed me but never once took responsibility for the fact that he dropped the ball. If you call and leave a message Don will not call you back but when you call him again he will tell you “you’re on my list to call”. McGee had mom’s stone sitting there for over 20 years, she passed away September 12, 2022. It took McGee almost an entire year to put her end date and set her stone in the cemetery. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Called to have my father in laws death date put on grave stone and talked to an abrupt, nasty man who could of cared less. Did not listen or care just wanted his $225.00 to engrave stone. Which, I was informed, would be at least 2 months because he didn't start this years engraving. Totally unprofessional and greedy. Would not recommend to anyone.

The Clock of Nations, once the iconic centerpiece of Midtown Plaza, has found a new home in the lobby of Tower280. This beloved timepiece first enchanted Rochester residents back in the 1960s. After Midtown Plaza's closure, it briefly graced the Greater Rochester International Airport before being put into storage. Thanks to Ken Glazer from Buckingham Properties, this cherished clock was beautifully restored and preserved for future generations to enjoy.
It was a memory from the days I walked past it when walking to work. I was a little disappointed that the bells didn't ring the time nor play the music from that country. It is very lovely.
