Pittsford Farms Dairy is a charming spot in Brighton, near Pittsford, NY, offering an authentic and pleasant dining experience. The place exudes a cool vibe and offers high-quality food. They have a well-stocked coffee bar serving delicious coffee and handmade ice cream with unique flavors like Coconut Almond Crunch or Blue Moo.
They had many different ice cream options. The soft serve ice cream was exceptional and extra creamy. They also offer baked goods, ice cream cakes, cookies and delicious milk. This is a must go to. Add it to your list of must do day trips.
Eric J — Google review
This charming, rustic dairy lives up to its reputation. We tried the Chocolate Almond Fudge and Lake My Day ice cream—both phenomenal. The sweet–salty balance of the fillings complements the ice cream’s light creaminess and rich flavor beautifully. Beyond ice cream, the store offers fresh baked goods, dairy products, and a nostalgic country-store vibe. Prices for fresh food and desserts are quite reasonable, but packaged/gift-wrapped items—like a small pack of shortbread cookies at $11—can be steep.

This place is absolutely adorable! They have so many great products, I love that they also have dairy free ice cream. It’s literally the best I’ve ever had. I brought home the Mocha Chip — so good!
Elisabeth B — Google review
A nice looking store. Parking lots is small. They sell milk, bakery, ice cream, coffee, honey etc... Price is a bit high. I ordered double ice cream cheesecake flavor which is so so. I got a fried cake (aka donut), the flavor was alright but it seemed to be sit for a while so it was dried. They have indoor and outdoor tables. Staff are friendly
Aupair P — Google review
I got coffee from here and OMG DELICIOUS! I got a Hot Charlie (vanilla and caramel) with whole milk 🤤 absolute yum! The ladies behind the counter were delightful. I’ve come for ice cream before too and you can’t go wrong 😙🤌🏼
Christa L — Google review
I tried the chocolate almond fudge. It was rich in flavor and delicious. I liked the almond chunks in ice cream. As others have pointed out, you can’t sample flavors before purchasing, which wasn’t an issue for me. I just wish there were more options for health-conscious individuals. I’d like to see some sugar-free ice cream. There’s a bakery and market at the location too. I’ll check out more items soon and update my review later. Additionally, it was busy on a Saturday, but I found a parking spot easily around 5pm.
Olivia — Google review
Very friendly. They were quick to help and made me feel like they wanted to serve me. And the ice cream was marvelous.
David G — Google review
The twist chocolate and vanilla ice cream tasted fantastic. Although it was very crowded, the service was amazingly fast. This dairy has a variety of things to look at and ice cream to purchase. The parking was limited, so it's hard to find a place to park.

The Susan B. Anthony Museum & House is a pivotal part of the history of Rochester, New York. It preserves Anthony's life and work as a leading advocate for women's rights and equal pay. The museum features interactive exhibits that provide an in-depth look at her political career and the impact she had on society. The site of her 1872 arrest is also featured prominently in the museum, providing visitors with an understanding of this pivotal moment in American history.
Wow! Great tour with Jackie. Home had many original Susan B Anthony artifacts. Fascinating tour, great gift shop and friendly staff.

The Susan B. Anthony Museum & House is a beautifully kept piece of history in our own backyard. My wife, her cousin and I decided to head over on a sunny and hot Saturday afternoon. We went into the museum to buy tickets and browsed for about 10 minutes until the next tour time started. Armani was our guide and she was lovely. She shared many fun facts along with the history that made our guided tour fun. I had no idea why Susan was always pictured so you only saw her side profile and now I know. The home is filled with many historic items, some from when Susan lived there while others reflect the time period of when Susan was alive. The time and energy that went into the house when she lived there is astounding. The third floor was one of my favorite areas. The lady with the alligator purse nursery rhyme was a personal favorite that I had never heard before my tour. Both the museum and the house are air conditioned. We ended up visiting the cemetery afterward to visit both Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass’ graves. Maps are provided at the museum if you are interested in doing that after a tour.

Great museum! The tour guide was great, and I learned a lot!
Kelly A — Google review
We had a lovely time at this museum! We bought tickets in advance for the house tour, but it wasn’t busy so you probably don’t need to. The tour was quick and succinct, but we felt like we saw everything and learned a good amount! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, great with engaging some of the younger kids on the tours, and did a great job relating Susan B. Anthony’s historical work to modern times and events happening in our country today.
Emily O — Google review
Both my husband and I just want to say thank you for keeping her legacy alive. I've wanted to visit the museum for a few years. But being self-employed got in the way. We made our reservations online and showed up early. Private and street parking are available. Even your property caretaker was a wonderful man. Since we were early, he asked if we wanted to visit the park down the street where we could see a statue of Susan with Frederick Douglas having tea. We did stop later. Our tour guide was amazing 👏 to remember so many details of a person's life and to inform us with such energy and excitement. I felt like Susan was going to walk inside any minute. The passion and wisdom were truly felt. We both have issues with steps, and she waited patiently and offered a chair for both of us. The house is filled with multiple pieces owned by both Susan and her mother. I could mention so much more! If you believe ♥️ in equal rights for everyone, this place is for you. I'm so sorry I can't remember our guides name 😔

We had a wonderful tour with Emma, our very knowledgeable guide!
JYA — Google review
We did not take the house tour. The museum is tiny, but the display is thorough - Four walls of a small room covered with info boards, containing photos and snippets of her historical timeline. I read everything slowly enough to absorb and finished in about 30 minutes. So, 5stars for a quick and free event stop and the friendly reception from the lady at the front desk. We were on our way to the airport and it was perfect for the time we had to spare. There is also a reception area, gift shop and restroom.

The Lamberton Conservatory, located in Highland Park, is a modern reconstruction of a 1911 building that houses a diverse collection of plants including palms, ferns, exotic tropical plants, and desert cactus. Despite its seemingly small size, the conservatory offers a wide range of unique and mesmerizing plant species that thrive within its glass walls. It provides an escape from the cold weather and offers a tropical environment for visitors to enjoy.
Awesome conservatory! There are many tropical plants, trees, and flowers! Also many turtles, tortoises, mice, birds, and koi fish can be seen throughout. Wer were here in summer and saw some plumeria flowers, various cacti, and other really neat plants. They've done a great job here, and the entry fee is very cheap. Definitely worth checking out!
Chris M — Google review
This is such a fabulous spot. I love bringing my friends from out of town.kids will love it too. Great for all ages. Stroll through Highland parks many great trails and then relax here. $4 for adults. Seniors over 62 $2. Fantastic plants, flowers...even turtles and quails. Enjoy!
Susan A — Google review
Small, cute little conservatory in Highland Park. Very relaxing place for a slow walk (so you don't miss anything) or to sit on a bench and just enjoy the plants and little animals. Very inexpensive, just $4 per adult
Ruth D — Google review
I enjoy seeing all the well-cared for plants and the wonderful creatures scattered throughout. Pricing is great and I haven't had issues finding parking.
Chel C — Google review
The conservatory was super quaint and filled with unexpected creatures! It was $4 a person (adult) to enter and we spent about 20 minutes looking around the different sections.
Angelica H — Google review
We really enjoyed the peaceful walk thru. The flowering plants were beautiful. And seeing the quail and turtles was fun.
Katie L — Google review
The Conservatory is a nice quiet place to visit. Plants are rather exotic in some cases. Poinsettias were great. Turtles were very interesting. How do they keep them in those little spaces. Some plants were in need of help.

Farmers Markets
Powers Farm Market in Pittsford offers a quintessential farm experience with its variety of animals like sheep, donkeys, goats, and chickens. The market is known for its fresh produce including sweetcorn, pumpkins, and asparagus grown directly on the farm. It's a popular spot for shopping where visitors can find Powers-grown produce, baked goods, unique gifts, and flowers.
Powers market is an amazing place to take kids for Halloween. They had plenty of activities with live animals. Had a haunted hay ride and inside. They had plenty of baked goods for sale. Lots of pumpkins for sale. It was really a good time for family with kids and even if you are going on a date it would be very well
Scott B — Google review
Powers Farm Market is a super cute pumpkin patch with a small petting zoo & cozy fall vibes. I really appreciated that there’s no entrance fee but be prepared for add-on costs. Hayrides are $10+ for about 15 minutes and the corn maze is $12+. Quite overpriced in my opinion. Still, it’s a charming place to enjoy a fall day!
Mariah F — Google review
Powers has the next Halloween set up I've ever seen. Great selection of products, both regular and seasonal. Awesome collection of farm animals for everyone to see and feed, especially the children. The folks working there are super helpful finding things, professional and polite. I hope to be back this weekend with the grandkids, they've never seen a Halloween arrangement like this. A trip to Powers will never be a disappointment or a mistake, it's a very popular place, you'll probably see some friends or relatives when you're there.
Elusive O — Google review
Lots of fun visiting the animals and hand feeding them. They have little cups of feed for sale inside and a little vending machine outside. Nice, family friendly Halloween atmosphere. Not as much to do during the weekdays as they have at night but worth it to go on a weekday if you want to avoid the crowds. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Linda P — Google review
Great spot for the whole family! Parking was a disaster but to be expected. The hay ride was worth the money and there were many pumpkin options to choose from. I took one star away for miserable staff..

$12.50 = small maze, decorative pumpkin. Seems like a good deal till you get here definitely disappointed. "U/pick pumpkin picture below. You will definitely need to go somewhere else for craving pumpkin.

We enjoyed our time here! Small farm but plenty of love put into it. The hayride has so many cool and silly props. The animals are adorable and sweet. We would definitely visit again!

The Pittsford Community Library is a modern and inviting space located by the canal, offering a wide array of resources including collections, technology, and programs. The 32,000-square-foot building features vibrant murals, study rooms, a literature garden, and a Starbucks. As part of the Monroe County library system, it provides access to an extensive collection of books and hosts events for all ages.
Zero complaints. Smile friendly, they have a great kids area, bathrooms are pristine, the space is comfortable and the Starbucks is a bonus. Other patrons were friendly and understanding of my busy toddler. The track on the train table is glued in place so I didn't have to worry about him launching pieces across the room — just the trains!
Megan C — Google review
Im usually a fairport library momma but I am so glad I was able to bring my son in today and check out this location. I was pretty much blown away, not only with the indoor set up for the kids but the fenced in courtyard is like a dream come true. I was also able to catch a little bit of storytime and the woman hosting it was absolutely magical, there was about 12 kids and she engaged with every single one of them. It felt like we were on the set of a kid's television show! Above everything, every interaction I had with people or the employees in passing was so friendly. We felt so welcomed and are grateful to have a place like this to spend our time! Thank you!
Irule O — Google review
Really appreciate this beautiful public library. Here's what I personally liked: ample parking, the building is clean and well maintained, the atmosphere here is inviting, there are different areas for various activities ( a quiet study area, teen center, computer stations, etc.) found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable and they have a fantastic selection of resources. The Pittsford community is fortunate to have this gem!
Hugo S — Google review
Best library to use their computers than any other in the county Library located in nice area All librarians are great
Nikola K — Google review
Beautiful library, but difficult to get into if it's on the left side of the road. Also, it was difficult to find parking. But the library itself is wonderful.
Sarah W — Google review
Loud. This place is perfect for you if you want listen to constant conversations and phone calls. During the past week, I have visited this library 3 times in an attempt to study for my LSAT. Even with the signs like the one pictured below scattered throughout the "quiet area" upstairs, people have no consideration for others. Either it hasn't crossed their mind that anyone might be trying to use the library to quietly work, or they just don't care. I was under the false impression that libraries were places to get work done in a quiet environment. Maybe that is true in some libraries, but not here. Come to this library if you want to listen to an hour of sales calls from a rep from Isaac Heating and Cooling, or teenagers laughing hysterically at videos on Facebook and talking about going to Starbucks. Don't come to this library if you actually need to concentrate on getting any work done.
Marla S — Google review
Nice place to visit once in a while. The staff is cordial and helpful. It's a beautiful library, comfortably air conditioned, with plenty of chairs and nooks to relax in and read or browse. They have a large magazine collection, and an interesting set of prepared bags of books for book clubs to use, with terrific book summaries to help you choose. Great video and audio collection. Open and airy, good places to read and research, good children's area. Very comfortable to be there.
Michael B — Google review
What a fun place to take the kiddos! There is an impressive kids area with three different spaces for kids to play. The book selection is impressive! Everything is always neat and tidy. And! There’s a Starbucks in the building!!! Great place to meet up for play dates, or take the kiddos knowing that there will be other kids to play with. And yes, the ladies at the front desk will scowl… but not all of them, and it’s a really short run from the entry way to the kids area 😅

The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester is a captivating destination that celebrates the world of toys and games. It houses the largest collection of toys, dolls, and play-related artifacts, including the prestigious National Toy Hall of Fame. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits like Reading Adventureland and Sesame Street, as well as enjoy a pint-size market and an indoor butterfly garden. The museum also features vintage pinball machines and classic arcade games for all ages to enjoy.
I highly recommend. I was surprised how large it was and how interactive it was. There were so many games (board games ann video games) you could play and so many other interactive things. Great for kids of all ages and adults as well. It had so many nostalgia items from toys dating back to the 1800's to more recent. We went on a Monday and it was not busy, we were there almost 5 hours and probably still didn't see everything. We ate at the food court and got pizza and a chicken salad wrap and both were really good.
Tabitha R — Google review
The Strong National Museum of Play completely lives up to its name — it’s pure fun, learning, and nostalgia rolled into one. We went as a family with both adults and kids, and every one of us had different favorites — which says everything about how much there is to do here. The exhibits are hands-on, creative, and thoughtfully designed, from the classic toys and video games to the pretend play areas and immersive displays. You could easily spend the whole day here and still find new things to explore. The only downside was that the bathrooms could have been cleaner — no soap first thing in the morning and a few stalls looked like they hadn’t been checked since the night before. Hopefully just a timing issue, because everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the layout was well-organized, and the entire experience was memorable from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back — we’re planning for another full day!
Marina S — Google review
This is the best place for kids (and me!)😁 It has the largest areas of play for kids at different ages. It entertains, teaches and inspires my kids. It's such a cool place and I would love to come here a few times a week! I wished the membership was cheaper though.
Bunny O — Google review
Best children’s museum I’ve ever been to! We stopped on our way back from the Midwest, going to New England, and my husband is already wanting to plan a trip to Rochester next year, just to spend more time at the museum! My son who was 1.5yo when we visited, LOVED it! I like how there’s activities for kids at every age (even adult nostalgia), and there’s even an outside area for kids to run around in (enclosed).
Emily — Google review
Outstanding National Treasure in the middle of Rochester! I went to the museum with my 4 year old granddaughter on Monday when senior rates are in effect. It is not cheap and family membership makes more sense than paying admission only a few times a year. It takes several days to appreciate the enormous amount of exhibits housed at the Strong. Parking is $10 on top of admission without a membership. I have been to art and science museums around the world and this museum blew me away. Can't say enough good things about it. Go, just go. Had such a great time that I didn't take many pictures; I was too enthralled with the displays and activities for young and old.
Gerald S — Google review
This was our second time visiting with our son. First time he was 2 years old and he had a great time. This visit he's now 7 years old and was able to enjoy different parts of the museum that cater to his age. He even got to have fun in some of the same sections he did as a 2 year old. This museum is really one of my favorites. It's fun for the whole family, not just the little ones. The history of video games and the history of board games really stands out for me. Very clean and easy to navigate. Highly recommend! My son would also like to add his words: "Most museums we only go to once, but this museum is far away from us, and we want to go to it a lot of times. The Strong Museum of Play is really fun. I love all the sections and could spend a whole day there. Can't wait to go back!"
Matt M — Google review
Wow wow wow! This was absolutely incredible! I was initially hesitant about what seemed like the high price of tickets- but they were absolutely worth every single penny! We did two-day tickets without adding on the ropes course or butterfly garden (you can pay for these experiences once you’re inside) and it was the best decision. This museum was unlike any other children’s museum I’ve been to- every single exhibit was curated to captivate children’s interests and imaginations. Every single place we stopped we could’ve stayed for at least an hour. We spent about 5 hours in the museum both days and we didn’t see all the indoors exhibits and we didn’t ever get to the butterfly garden or the ropes course. We’ll definitely be coming back and telling everyone we know who’s going to the area to plan a visit!
Amber V — Google review
This is the best place to recall the memories of children and adults. You can experience, learn, and enjoy many things. The playground, skyline, art, Lego, merry-go-round, butterfly experience, arcade, adventure, various story-themed entertainment, and books everywhere were great to bring children's emotions and learning. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time, so I couldn't enjoy it anymore. Next time, I would like to come in the morning and stay until it's over. ^^

The George Eastman Museum, located in Rochester, NY, is a multifaceted museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of Kodak co-founder George Eastman. The museum features a Colonial Revival mansion where visitors can tour and take photos in the gardens. Inside, there are current exhibitions showcasing contemporary photographers' work and a permanent collection of photography equipment and images dating back to primitive daguerreotypes. The museum also houses a theater for rare film screenings.
We loved the tour! It takes about 45 minutes and I strongly recommend it. The mansion is well-preserved and you'll definitely feel the atmosphere that this place had a century ago.
Unbiased R — Google review
The George Eastman Museum is an absolute gem in Rochester, and my recent visit was outstanding from start to finish. The museum itself is beautifully preserved, blending the elegance of George Eastman’s historic home with fascinating exhibits on photography, cinema, and innovation. What truly made the experience memorable, however, was the docent-led tour. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also engaging, weaving together history, personal anecdotes, and fun facts that brought Eastman’s story to life. They had a wonderful way of explaining details about the house, gardens, and Eastman’s legacy in a way that kept everyone in the group interested. I especially enjoyed being taken into the garden, where the docent, Marianne highlighted design elements and shared thoughtful insights I would have missed if I had toured on my own. It gave the whole visit a personal touch and made the history feel vibrant and accessible. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend taking a docent-led tour—it elevates the entire experience and gives you a much deeper appreciation for both George Eastman and the museum’s collections.
Donna F — Google review
The Eastman Museum was the highlight of our visit to Rochester! The entire place is beautifully maintained and spotless, with stunning interiors that truly reflect its history. Our tour guide was amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience so much richer with their insights. There’s also a cozy café and engaging activities for kids, which makes it great for families. The museum is fully accessible for visitors using wheelchairs and offers large free parking, which was very convenient. Overall, it was the best activity we did in Rochester, and I highly recommend visiting!
Naz A — Google review
This was a great museum and mansion that far exceeded my expectations. As someone else also said, the guided tour is what makes it fun. The stories about George Eastman are eye opening and personal. I really enjoyed looking at all the cameras, video cameras, and technology through time. Eastman was a genius! His home and gardens were so different from other homes of 5he early 1900’s.
Shelly P — Google review
This little gem of a museum includes a permanent exhibition from the collection as well as changing shows. I particularly enjoyed the gallery of historic cameras, from Ansel Adams’s Brownie to the very first digital camera (yes, a young Kodak engineer and his close associates pioneered the technology) to a camera designed to survey the moon in advance of the Apollo missions. The informative docent-led house tour takes you through several rooms. Besides being a visionary in the photographic realm, George Eastman was an avid gardener, and the grounds are a living tribute to his expertise. There are also silent and classic motion pictures that are regularly screened, including a yearly festival of films on the flammable nitrate stock (discontinued from use in 1951). The archive is world renowned.
Leslie S — Google review
I love history and this place is full of it! The mansion is in pristine condition. Definitely get a tour for the docent was excellent. The gardens are beautiful, as you can see we had a perfect day for seeing the grounds. The Eastman Kodak museum is connected to the mansion...so much film history. Read the description of the large camera pic I posted, really interesting.

Amazing museum, house and gardens! We were lucky to hear the organ being played which was very pleasant and making the atmosphere special. Beautifully preserved rooms. They also have a cafe inside the museum. Plenty of parking.

Very kind staff, beautiful property and nicely arranged historical rooms. We found the experience overall not worth the price - especially on the photography/video side. That said, we aren’t huge connaisseurs in this field. Maybe better suited to photography aficionados or if you follow a guided tour?

Visitors can explore everything from mummy relics and antiquities to contemporary exhibitions.
A very fun time! The Gallery has a wide breadth of media covered from ancient Greek and Egyptian works to a large hall of contemporary pieces - many by local artists. There is even an immense pipe organ located on the second floor encompassing an entire wall of the largest gallery in the old portion of the building. It's definitely a fun day trip, especially if you're a fan of art that ties into local history.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Memorial Art Gallery. It has a decent and diverse collection that’s worth exploring. However, a couple of things could be improved. Many paintings on the first floor didn’t have any descriptions, which made it hard to fully appreciate them. Also, the ancient Middle East section is placed in a bad spot in the museum. Besides, it has very beautiful manuscripts and relics, but the lack of lighting didn’t do them justice (shown in one of the photos). Still, overall a nice place to spend a few hours.

A gem of a place. I went knowing very little about the Gallery, other than it was organized thematically. I found works that I've only seen online. To say that my heart felt deep happiness doesn't describe that visceral feeling when art touches you. It's different for everyone. And indeed, there is something for everyone! Many time periods, styles and regions are represented: thematically, by countries, techniques and centuries. The presentation on the Italian Baroque Organ was marvelous. To be surrounded by the genre paintings, made it easier to imagine that this was part of daily life. Be sure to check the time 3pm on the actual date, not the general description that incorrectly says 3:30pm.

We love this museum both inside and out! We have taken so many pictures in their outdoor sculpture park! We most recently went for their Pride celebration. They have scavenger hunts for the kids both inside and outside! The Rotating gallery is always worth checking out! ;)

Well arranged and comprehensive gallery for a medium-sized city. Particularly great selection of Renaissance paintings, some great post-impressionist works. The organ is spectacular. Stunning building as a backdrop. Great display of local, contemporary artists.

While I enjoyed all the available art this is the piece that truly spoke to me. I am AuDHD and when I saw this I was like hey..... Thats my brain! It felt so validating to see this representation display in such a great place as the Memorial Art Gallery and I would be willing to bet many others do too.

Powder Mills Park, located to the south of a town, spans 380 acres and offers a serene natural retreat. The park features various well-marked trails that traverse hilly terrain, meadows, wetlands, and flower fields. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks or hikes amidst lush greenery and tranquil surroundings. Additionally, the park is home to a fish hatchery where visitors can feed the fish in Irondequoit Creek during March.
I go to college at rit and sometimes I just want to go somewhere peaceful to relieve all the stress. Powder Mills is the perfect place for that! Not only is there the wide variety of trails to go on, but there's also the fish hatchery! It's so neat to feed the fish, they go crazy for it lol! Never once have seen any dead or even injured fish, so they obviously take very good care of them. You'll also probably see lots of wildlife, and it's beautiful. The fact that it's free (except 25 cents if you want to feed the fish, but really that's almost nothing) to go to and visit makes it ten times better. What a gorgeous place!
Absolute D — Google review
We had a great time, although It was a cold day, and wish the grill was a little bit larger, and had some kind of wind break. The wind kept blowing my fire out. It took me a little over an hour to get my fire consistent. We loved the fact that it was right at the creek, so family could go fishing and take walks along the creek. Even though they are outdoor shelters, the county should build an outdoor fireplace inside the shelter for fall-like days.

This park is a true gem! Well wooded with many hiking trails waiting to be discovered. It was toward the end of summer when I visited the park. The parking lot is spacious and a short walk over to the landscape bridge brings you into the fish hatchery section of the park. You will find a few fish food machines that take a quarter to feed tge fish. Paper cups are provided on top of the machines. It was fun to feed the fish and I took some good picts. I loved all the cat tails in bloom during the time of year we came. Also a few hand made benches are displayed which were made out of lumber which came from the trees at the park.

Nice place to hold family and company events; children will love fishery; ideal place for field trips ; benches stationed around pounds for people to sit and relax; trails to hike on 🥾 plenty of picnic areas 🧺 parking lots need attention though…massive potholes in several of them 🕳️

Definitely one of the coolest parks near Rochester. The “mushroom house” is here - Very architecturally interesting building that’s been featured on some tv shows. And they also have a fish hatchery where you can feed the fish. Be sure to bring quarters with you for that! I usually bring a small container to catch the fish food in too. It comes out of the dispensers kind of fast, and a container is easier than using your hand.
Jenny — Google review
Powder Mill Park is an amazing park with a beautiful fish hatchery where you can feed Rainbow and brown gorgeous trout (bring your quarters and a small container to catch the fish food out of the gumball machine!) The park is gorgeous and fun to explore with a nice bathroom house. The playground is almost new to the left down the road with it's own parking lot. There is one especially unique ride there that kids live. It's like the flying swings at a fair, but it goes round and round for awhile with one parents strong push. We call it the helicopters. There is a Swain ski hill off to one side of the park where little kids practice the bunny slope and start to learn to gain control of their ski legs. Get outside and explore Powder Mill Park by yourself with your friends or family. It will make the permanent memory bank of very enjoyable days in your mind.
Brenda R — Google review
This park contains a fish hatchery, and several miles of moderate elevation hiking trails. Parts can be muddy or slick during winter or spring, but overall the valley it is in muffles the sounds of suburbia nicely once you're back off the main road. For sure stop to feed the fish while you're here.

Lock 32 Brewing Company is a beloved Rochester establishment that has become a cornerstone of the local craft beer scene. With a focus on quality and innovation, this brewery offers a diverse selection of craft beers brewed on-site, providing visitors with an ever-changing array of options to enjoy in their cozy taproom or outdoor seating area overlooking the canal. The brewery's inviting atmosphere, complete with a boat room theme and ample wood accents, creates the perfect setting for savoring their well-crafted brews.
My favorite place in Rochester!! We found this place on our way to buy some ice cream in Pittsford farm diary. The environment is peaceful and elegant. This beer bar is clean and variety selections including IPAs and fresh fruit taste beers. They don’t sell food but you can order from the store that across street, they will bring it to you.

Ended up here when another place was full… and I am so glad we did! Beer was great. Nice open space inside and ample seating right on the canal. There’s a fire pit, wood, lots of Adirondack chairs and a local musician was playing right outside the door — outstanding.

Love Lock 32. Love hanging out in their Adirondack chairs in the summer and inside is just as gorgeous when they have the windows open. Nice spot to overlook the Erie Canal.

This place is just the best, they have the best staff as well that are willing to bend over backwards to make sure everyone feels welcome and happy! The beer is fantastic and their space is just as nice if not nicer, great spot to hang out with friends or just with whoever is behind the pine that day! Bring kids, dogs, bikes, other pets maybe, you name it!

Enjoyed this brewery on the Erie canal. The taproom has a great spot on the canal with a nice view. The design of the taproom is nice with a boat room theme with lots of wood. The beer list is a good size and the beer was very good. Something for everyone including cider and wine. There is no food which is a disadvantage with the exception of popcorn. Definitely a great place to hang out on the weekend or for an afternoon. Parking can be found nearby across the street.

AMAZING BEERS. I had the Flower City, Scotch Ale, Five 80 Five, Mule Fuel, 1911 original (dry apple cider) and there newly tapped Porter called twist which tasted amazing (vanilla and chocolate). As for the ambiance it can definitely use some work, but nothing that would stop me from coming back here to grab another Twist once it is actually tapped and served publicly.

I highly recommend this place! I absolutely enjoyed my massage, and as I write this, I'm having the most wonderful pedicure. I just wish I had arrived earlier than planned so I could have enjoyed the sauna, which would have been fantastic!

Thank you, Paula Cooper, for making me feel heard, seen, and genuinely validated. I visited the spa for the first time on Monday, November 17th for a gel manicure, and unfortunately, the polish on my right thumb chipped in less than seven days. After two unreturned phone calls, I stopped by the spa to request a redo or refund. Leah at the front desk was very respectful and showed real concern about my issue. She assured me that Paula would follow up since she wasn’t available to see me at that moment. Later that day, Paula reached out and graciously offered to redo the nail for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t have availability that day, so she kindly offered to send me a gift certificate for future use. She also asked if I could share the call logs and a photo of the chipped nail so she could use it as a teaching opportunity for the manicurist and follow up with her tech support about why my calls didn’t register on their end. I’ll definitely return and will be recommending Spa Del Monte to my friends.
Mansawear Y — Google review
Elaine is an excellent technician. Her service was beyond reproach. In fact, it was my best at Del Monte. Not only she delivers exactly what one requests but she also is a refreshing and rejuvenating conversationalist. One leaves uplifted, feels seen, entertained and bathed in human warmth that sometimes gets lost the transactional business of wellness. I would recommend Elaine to run a workshop for the rest of the staff on how to be authentically present yet dignified.
Solveiga A — Google review
The massage was great. The facial was great, but my daughter and I had a pedicure, and the woman taking care of me, rushed through and my feet are dry on the second day, which I have never had happen after a pedicure ever. And the woman who took care of my daughter, kept complaining about how she had to take the tips off of her nails. Which made us feel terribly guilty, which is confusing because we were paying to be there.
Jennifer S — Google review
Spent 2 and 1/2 hours trying to book an appointment for my wife. Finally got through after emails and multiple calls. Very limited bookings available. There weren't many options for back-to-back spa treatments. The massage was quite lackluster, according to my wife. The facility is great. Atmosphere is great. Estheticians were great. But it could use some work.

Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford is a charming park located in the heart of Pittsford, New England. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as strolling, taking pictures, fishing, and grabbing coffee or ice cream. The park also provides boat tie-up facilities and access to high-quality dining establishments.
Lovely spot to stroll, grab a coffee, ice cream, take pictures, and apparently fish! While we were wandering some kids across the canal swooped up a fish that was longer then their shoulders were wide. It was so fun to watch them. They took a few pictures and sent it back on its way.

We visited where the Pittsford Village has a Vetarian memorial! It has names, which branch of service, rank, of Vet's on bricks that have passed & are still living. It is very well done & in a quite location. Some bricks need the ink added again as names have worn off! Great place to visit.

Nice little park in the center of the New England village of Pittsford, situated between two in-sight Barge Canal bridges, making for a pleasant walking loop. Boat tie up is available with a plethora of high quality dining and curiosity establishments (African sculpture & jewelry art, anyone?), including a more hidden but particularly noteworthy, especially during the Christmas lighting season, cadre of stores at the far opposite end of the "Schoen (German word for 'nice') Place" area, abutting farmlands past the juxtaposed historic canal grain shipment silos now converted to luxury high rise offices. While there may not be overnight boat hookups like in the nearby village of Fairport, this locality is definitely with a stop for those traversing upstate New York's recreational waterways.

Experience up close the enthusiasm of the people in this small town for life.
Klaus R — Google review
We loved this spot! Docked our boat for the night and had a great time. Walked along the waterfront, visited the Copper Leaf Brew Co and dinner at a Greek restaurant. Ice cream at the local dairy was amazing!
Tina B — Google review
Very nice little park for a stroll or to catch some Pokemon! There are three separate paths for walking - next to the canal, up to the memorial, and another in the middle of those two. A large pavilion is at the base of the steps leading down from the parking lot that appears to be nicely kept. Unfortunately there is no play structure here, nor is there an open area for playing, and likewise no barbecues for cooking food. Overall a nice place for a brief visit but it's not a place to linger for very long.
Rochester P — Google review
The loop through the park, over the two bridges and back is just the right length for an easy walk, even on a cold day. The town makes an effort to keep the canal side trail plowed in the winter, and the park side trail is almost always walkable.

Nestled in the heart of Rochester, New York, Mount Hope Cemetery is a serene and historic site that dates back to 1838. As the first municipal Victorian cemetery in the United States, it boasts an array of stunning marble and stone monuments set amidst tranquil woodlands and beautifully landscaped gardens. This remarkable resting place is not only listed on both the New York State Register of Historical Places and the National Register of Historic Places but also serves as a final home for many notable figures such as Susan B.

A godsend during Covid as I used to live nearby and spent most afternoons strolling around the cemetery. It really is a magnificent place! You can easily gather the history of Rochester from Mount Hope Cemetery if you play attention.
Ro — Google review
What has happened to this beautiful cemetary? The upkeep and landscaping are awful. Tall grass between and around headstones, I counted easily 25 knocked over or broken stones just to the left of the entrance! It looks like an abandoned spooky movie set. This used to so well maintained and historic part of Rochester. What a disappointment when visiting Rochester! Please take the vandalism seriously, these are people's family members!
Amelia L — Google review
Among others, the Mount Hope Cemetery is the final resting place of women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) and abolitionist Frederick Douglass (1817-1895). It is 196 acres in size and contains some 350,000 interments. It was founded in 1838. The cemetery is very drivable (at low speed, of course) and that's a good thing as the more famous graves are some distance apart. Please be respectful when you visit - it is an active cemetery and there are people here laying family members to rest.
Bruce K — Google review
This is a beautiful cemetery with fantastic landscape of trees and graves. Many famous historical figures. I could wander around in here for hours, that's for sure! So peaceful!
Theresa J — Google review
The guided tour through the cemetery was very informative and beautiful. There were many stops to talk about different people and their contributions to Rochester. The tour had some "off path" areas, but much of it was on a gravel path and easy to navigate. The Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery is a wonderful nonprofit organization to help restore the cemetery and maintain the stones. The tour was 90 minutes and costs $15. They have various tours throughout the season and we are themed! Worth checking out! Sarah our tour guide was very nice and informative, she kept it interesting and kept everyone engaged. The cemetery is open daily for walking through to enjoy nature. There are paved paths throughout that would be easy to navigate with strollers or wheelchairs!
Laura P — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking. Visited for the first time in early November to pray for the dead. The foliage and the entire cemetery was picture-perfect. On Voting Day, prepare to leave your sticker for Susan B. Anthony. Oh, and definitely wear your walking shoes!
Mary C — Google review
My family has had a plot in Mt Hope Cemetery since 1958 so I have been there often.. We have nine family members resting there. I cannot properly describe my disappointment with the upkeep of the cemetery over the past year. Today, toppled gravestones which appear to be caused by vandals, over grown grass between many, many headstones. The cemetery is no longer a place of beauty and serenity. Besides this being my family's resting place, it is a National Landmark. Shame on Rochester for letting it settle into disarray. I am saddened and angry.

Nestled along the picturesque Erie Canal, Aladdin's Natural Eatery has been a beloved fixture in Pittsford since 1980. This charming café specializes in an array of soups, salads, and Greek dishes crafted from all-natural ingredients. With a commitment to using locally sourced produce when available, diners can savor rich flavors enhanced by quality elements like sea salt and extra virgin olive oil.
I craved their gyro plate throughout my entire pregnancy last year. Their Greek dressing is seriously the best. Today we brought my in-laws and our 7mo baby to try one of our favorite places in the Rochester area, and the staff members were so kind to us. Always a joy to come here, sit on the water, and eat delicious food. Thank you!

Situated along the historic Erie canal, this is a wonderful place to dine on a late summer day. The Mediterranean food is fresh and filling. I decided on the moussaka which I thoroughly enjoyed! Our personable waiter provided top-notch service!

I came here on my birthday just a few months ago, and WOW the service was amazing. We had the chicken alfredo and tiramisu cheesecake among other options and they somehow overheard it was my birthday and even decorated my plate and gave me a candle! The staff was extremely sweet and attentive. The Alfredo was probably the best I've ever had and a perfect portion size. Would come again. It's your average cheesecake factory, but the decor and vibes at night are certainly worth it. The servers are kind like stupid nice. We had free rye and white bread loaves with butter. There was a really good looking bar near the front. I personally had Sheilas chicken Avocado salad it is tangy and enjoyable, definitely not bland. It's on the sweeter side of salads and um..over a 1000 calories but if your eating here let's be honest. Nobody looks at the calories and for your own mental health... DONT Anyways atleast it's a high in volume Other people with me notes: Chicken Alfredo pizza style was kinda bland 3 other people with me have the salmon, they said it was done right. Cajun salmon is delicous was all they noted, one said the broccoli and with their meal wasn't steamed enough though

I love Tinker nature Park. The restrooms were very clean. The park was well kept the trails were well noted. We even got a chance to see a woodpecker up and close.

Tinker Nature Park offers well-maintained trails, a quiet atmosphere, and a variety of wildlife, making it a great spot for walking, birdwatching, and family visits. The park includes a small nature center (open limited hours), picnic areas, and an accessible paved loop trail (~1.2 miles).

Oddly enough, I attended a funeral/luncheon here on a Saturday, and it was rather perfect. A small house church was celebrating one of the Dads who had passed. There seemed to be about 60-80 people including kids, and separate seating, tents and several coolers of drinks made it smooth for the unusually hot day - it rose to past 85 degrees during the service as one speaker mentioned. Adequate parking lot held 25-30 cars a few steps from the single pavilion. I did not see the bathrooms this trip. Our event was reserved, and I'd recommend this venue for parties over 20. A very nice, clean friendly spot.

4/21/24: The park is in Henrietta. It's a lovely walk on mostly wide gravel paths. It has swamps & a pond. Geese walk around too. There are exercise stations, benches, toilets 🚻, & 2 parking lots. Free.

Best local bike shop around! I’ve been going to Towpath for over a decade now. There’s no other local bike shop I trust more than Towpath. Owners Rob and Brandon are top-notch and they’ve hired an awesome and knowledgeable crew. If you’re looking for a new bike or in need of service, head into Towpath.

Seamless service from the moment I arrived and was fitted for my new TREK Project One to when I picked her up. Eric, Rob and Patrick were great - helpful, informative, and most importantly, not pushy in anyway to make the sale. I highly recommend Towpath Bike.

Would definitely use Towpath Bike for your bike needs. I was in the area for a reunion and had planned a 50 mile ride. They outfitted me with a great rental e-bike and made sure I had everything I needed for the ride. Fantastic customer service and very easy to do business with. Highly recommend them!!!

Every part of our Towpath Bike experience exceeded our expectations. Bike selection and prepayment were easy and quick online. The bikes were waiting for us outside the shop when we arrived. Our bike fitter was super helpful and positive. Returning the bikes was also easy. From start to finish, Towpath Bike made our Saturday adventure a happy memory.

For being a visitor to the area and only being in rochester for a week. I was doing some browsing to see what bike shops had on sale. When I first went to Towpath the shop was very clean and very organized! I was able to veiw plenty of products. Plenty of sales reps on the floor to assist customers as they walked in. I was looking around for a newer bike and Towpath had a deal I couldn’t pass up! Ended up going back in the next day. On my way to the store I gave them a call to see if the bike was in stock. It was!!! By the time I was at the shop they already had the bike being checked over by the mechanics and ready for a test ride! Within an hour I was walking out with my new Trek Top Fuel! Thanks for the great service and I will be shreading my local trails back in WV!

Best new bike experience EVER! Bought online because they had exactly what I wanted in my size and color in stock. Drove from Binghamton to pick it up. This shop is a gem. Meaningful suggestions led to fun conversations with Eric. THANKS AGAIN!

Did business with Towpath when we lived in Pittsford in early 2000's. Moved away and when we had a chance to come back and visit we had such a good experience with Rob that when the time came to get my wife a new bike we made the trip into Pittsford again to pick out her new Trek Verge 3 bike. Excellent customer service. Rob listened to our needs and helped us pick out the prefect fit. Worth the trip. If you're already in the Rochester area you are so lucky to have a company with such amazing customer care.

If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some exceptional brews, Copper Leaf Brewing is the place to be! Nestled along State Street, this charming cafe specializes in handcrafted ales and lagers that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. With a selection that includes barrel-aged and wild ales, there's something for every beer enthusiast. Most of their offerings are available on tap, but you can also grab some cans to take with you on your adventures.
As far as the beer goes, this brewery is exceptional. The brewer is doing some groundbreaking things with excellent beer and terpenes that are truly worth experiencing - and beyond the pale. With the chill vibe and low-key atmosphere, this is a must drink brewery within the greater Rochester area of Pittsford.

Delicious variety of beer in a small taproom. Great vibe at the bar with friendly bartender and patrons. Off the canal but very nice room.

Great spot in Schoen place. Good selection of beers. The Raspberry was delicious. Like the decor and set up inside. Parking can be a little challenging if you don't know the area. Was able to speak to one of the owners and it was great. Liked hearing about what is on the schedule for upcoming beers. The Flanders and Coffee beers were also delicious.

We stumbled on this brewery because we were in the area and I am so happy we did! Brooke served us our beer and had suggestions on what was popular (she was such a sweetheart that it made our experience that much better). She also told us that one of the owners, Clay, did a lot of the brewing and needless to say, he is an exceptional brewer. We liked every beer that we tried and they allowed us to sample beers before we committed. I definitely recommend getting a flight so you can experience a bit of everything. The establishment itself is setup wonderfully and is very clean, always a plus no matter where you go! Thank you guys very much, we will be back!

A very quaint brewery. Wonderful staff. Very inviting and happy to discuss their products. Small tap list, however, it is a small brewery. What they do make is phenomenal. Even the beer we didn't like was still a decent beer. Again, all pallets are different and you may not like them, still worth a visit. No food / kitchen , they do let you bring in take out from , anywhere. Dog friendly too !
Erik S — Google review
Ok this was just a search and fine stop. I was very surprised at the place. The owner/brewer came right up, introduced himself and explained what the flavors were and the process. The bar staff were very helpful and carried on a great conversation. I was told they have been opened for about 4-5 months and to look at how they operated you would think they were pros at it. The beer was excellent and the atomsphere was perfect for a small community brewery. I hope they grow and make even more great beer.
Paul M — Google review
Beautifully crafted beers! Something for everyone - the casual drinker, or the advanced palette. The beers, experience, and staff were wonderful, and I look forward to our next return.
Tim D — Google review
What a great brewery and tasting room. Never knew this was here, but glad I found it and we'll be back. Such unique and well constructed Biers. While all beer has an aroma that is part of the enjoyment of that beer, every one of the five samples we tasted was much more aromatic than a typical beer which gave an amazing character to each unique beer. Then, each beer couldn't have had a more unique flavor. They had 15 home brewed styles on tap which I find amazing for such a small place. Clearly as much of a work of passion as it is a business for the owners.

The dedicated and attentive teachers provide individualized attention to help students build a meaningful practice. In addition to yoga classes, the establishment also features a juice bar serving healthy food and beverages. Visitors can enjoy the full mind-body experience with yoga sessions followed by nutritious refreshments from the juice bar.
Breathe is always a go to for us when we’re in town! The yoga classes are consistently wonderful (we had an incredible class with Betsy this morning, thank you for your lovely assists and flow) and the juice bar is such a delicious and healthy treat afterwards. Not to mention the gift shop and overall atmosphere is lovely.

I’m up visiting my Dad who is at Strong and I wanted something healthy as I sat by the Erie Canal and took a moment to Pause Breathe Reflect. Such a peaceful and welcoming store. I can only comment on the wonderful smoothie I got but I would love to come back to take a class.

Unbelievable experience of insensitivity to a baby that I have ever seen. We were at the juice bar on Tuesday with my 7 mo. old granddaughter who needed some hot water to warm her milk. There was no one else in the store or in the juice bar. We asked a young woman for some hot water, ordered two drinks and bought cookies, spending around $27.There were two people working behind the counter and one in the back kitchen area. So, we were outnumbered staff to customers. The young woman that we were working with was visibly irritated when we asked her for the water first, before she made our drinks. She told us that that she was very busy, though there was no one else in the cafe, and she had support staff. She gave us the water and we proceeded to warm the baby's bottle. The water became cold, so we asked apologetically for more warm water. She told us that she would give us some, but that it would be the last warm water we could have because she was out. Wow! She couldn't have been more insensitive or rude. And, access to water to fill up the kettle was two steps away, which, shortly after, I watched her colleague go to fill it up. We did get the water, and our baby was happy, but I felt it was necessary to leave this review of a place that is suppose to exude peace. I was sorely disappointed.

I live abroad but whenever I come home I always try to get in some classes at Breathe. I absolutely love the classes, the teachers, the atmosphere, and the healthy food and juices. Is it a bit pricey, yes... but so is everything nowadays, and I feel you get the quality that you pay for here. I am CONSTANTLY looking for a studio like Breathe when I travel, but have yet to find a decent substitute. Overall, love it here and can't wait to come visit next month. (Ps: I am a tad chubby and not necessarily very good at any poses, and I have NEVER felt judged or out of place.) :)

Breathe has been an incredible place to learn about meditation and yoga. From the first time I walked through the door many years ago, they have helped me build a practice that's right for me. The teachers are concientious and dedicated and seem to be able to give each student the individual attention needed to build a meaningful practice. I'm very grateful for the encouragement and support they continue to give me and recommend them highly to people at any stage in their practice.

I’ve really been enjoying the foundations classes on Thursdays in Pittsford … it’s really all about the instructor for me. I’ll go back again and again if I connect with someone’s teaching style and the schedule works for me. (Ive taken yoga from 5 different Rochester locations in the last ten years.) As far as hot yoga, Pittsford Breathe probably has the hottest temp of all the local hot yoga studios (some of which were part of the Breathe franchise until Fall 2022) AND has the essential element of natural light. IMO, mat spacing in the hot studio is quite close together and low ceilings make me feel a bit less expansive in my movements. Food is great. Juices are delish. Good variety of class times offered. I think charging for mat rental is bizarrely commercial. This is the only studio I’ve ever seen do this. I would expect a studio to have at least a couple spares on hand for people who forget their mats. *Shrug* Overall, really grateful for this gem!
Andrea B — Google review
I visit Breathe just for their fresh cold pressed juices. One word, ‘AWESOME’..! Their juices scream quality and freshness in every sip. The place is calm and welcoming, staff is polite. Don’t know about their yoga program but juices are good. They also offer meals for fitness conscious customers. Juices are slightly on the expensive side and one wouldn’t come here everyday for them. Overall rating just on juices and smoothies: Juices- 5/5 Ambience- 4/5 Service- 5/5 Value for Money- 3

I've gone to Breathe for quite a few years now; I started doing the 11 class passes and did those for a few years but once the pandemic started and they offered the online living yoga/ulimited classes, it was a great deal! I do so much more yoga, much more regularly (almost every day, my schedules depending) and there are a lot of wonderful teachers with a variety of classes that are so convienent! I'm still of the view that I'm trying not to go into many public places, and keep masking, so the online classes are perfect for me and I would highly recomend them. So convienent, and I do way more yoga than I ever did otherwise. If you're thinking of starting out or trying a place, this is a great one.

Bowling alley
Radio Social, located in the Stromberg-Carlson warehouse on Carlson Road, is a recreational hub that offers a unique adult play experience. This 40,000 square-foot facility pays homage to its history of radio production during World War II. It's not just your average bowling alley; it's an urban social destination with sleek design, top-notch food, craft cocktails, and various games for a memorable date night or outing with friends.
We’ve been here many times for trivia, bowling, etc. but this is the first time we’ve come for brunch and it’s now our new favorite! Everything is super flavorful. Recommend the crispy potatoes as a side and the Turkish coffee (not pictured). We started with the deviled eggs which have crispy pepperoni. They were so good and we ate them so fast I didn’t snap a pic! The duck duck biscuit and chopped cheese were also really great as main dishes. Not a single disappointing part of the meal.
Carson D — Google review
The ambiance is fantastic, and the food is delicious. However, securing a bowling lane can be a bit challenging especially on the weekends. The bar staff and the gaming counter staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s an excellent spot for a date night or a family gathering.

Went here with a group. We were assigned to the "front lanes" which were quiet and fun away from the other lanes in the back. The bar and food were great with attentive and friendly staff. Great for the family and adult gatherings. Our group had a great spread of food and there was complimentary water. Clean facilities and guest areas. This was my first time there and definitely will be going back. Great time had by all.

Radio Social does a great job! The atmosphere is great, building is clean and well attended to, staff is friendly, bowling is fun and food is delish! These may be the best wings in Rochester! Nice job, guys and gals!

We played bowling and then ate for a friends birthday, it was a huge success. Would recommend. The food was very good, we ordered the lamb, halloumi, feta pizza and babaganoush. Most of us enjoyed our drinks, they aren’t very sweet, but are very one of a kind and exquisite. The server was super nice. The water was delicious! Overall slightly overpriced but worth it!
Simrun R — Google review
Really love this place! We’ve been twice to bowl, once to eat. Minor issue with the screens not working, but they comped our visit - it’s not about falling down, it’s how you recover, and they were so nice and proactive and apologetic. Service in the restaurant was great. Food is good. Lots of larger groups have parties here, and during the winter months they have an awesome flea market on Sundays!
Karen H — Google review
Had been to this place for the 2024 New Year party, and it was really great! We played bowling for a while and enjoyed the pizza and fries. Then, I enjoyed the live music till the clock ticked 12AM. This place is really great for hangout. It has definitely become our hangout place already!
Akshatha K — Google review
Went for Sunday brunch. I thought it was all very good, but not perfect. We got a lot of items. The lemon waffle was delicious and delicate, though very sweet, I couldn't have more than a small amount. The crispy potatoes were wonderful and the dipping sauces were delicious. The pork schnitzel itself was a little underwhelming, but it was in a delicious bed of some kind of sauce. The lamb pandensal was very tasty but a bit salty. The crab dip was wonderful. The breakfast pizza seemed small and maybe on the dry side, but was tasty overall. The house donut was a perfect treat to end the meal with. Their coffee was pretty good too, it's nice to see that there's attention to details like that. I also enjoyed the Pimms cup I had. One thing I found quite disappointing was the khachapuri. I've had Georgian cheese bread before and this was not it. The dough was flat, dense, and chewy. It felt like they tried to use some kind of pastry dough maybe? It felt undercooked. The bread is supposed to have a nice crispy crust and a bready, fluffy filling.

Discover the historic Genesee Brew House, a renowned brewery in Rochester that has been operating since 1878. Despite its association with classic beers like Genny Light and Original Cream Ale, the brewery offers a wide variety of brews. The adjacent three-story Genesee Brew House provides an opportunity to savor their beers and enjoy delectable food. Don't miss the chance to take in stunning views of High Falls and the Rochester skyline from the rooftop.
The Genesee Brew House regularly appears on online lists of the best places to eat in Rochester and for good reason. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious and the service is very friendly. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant has amazing views of High Falls and downtown which makes for a very nice dining experience.

I was visiting on a business trip from Texas. The venue is great. Get a reservation to sit on the balcony and see the waterfall. We tried a few different beers and they were all good. Food was okay but rather typical. Beer was the focus. Enjoy
Christopher M — Google review
A friend recommended Genesee Brew House after I mentioned wanting to check out downtown Rochester. We ordered the mushroom burger and the Spaetzle Mac & Cheese. Maybe my expectations were a bit high because it came so highly recommended, but overall, I was disappointed. The burger was overcooked, and for $17 I was surprised it came with chips instead of fries. You can substitute fresh fries, but it costs an extra $3, which feels a bit much. The mac & cheese had good cheese flavor, but it was so heavy and rich that it was hard to finish — it tasted more like something reheated in a microwave than freshly made. The service was also just average — not terrible, but not particularly friendly or attentive either. The view from the place is nice, but for the food quality, service, and price, I don’t think it’s worth it. If I go back, I’ll probably try something else on the menu.

The RMSC (Rochester Museum & Science Center) is a three-floor learning center that offers hands-on exhibits for kids and a planetarium showcasing films and star shows. The museum features the newly rejuvenated Strasenburgh Planetarium, providing immersive outer space journeys inside its four-story dome. With a focus on history, humanity, and scientific achievement, the center offers captivating exhibits like the Electricity Theater's dancing lightning and monthly simulator rides.
The service was exceptional, with friendly staff available to assist and answer questions. One of the highlights was the short line for the entrance and not crowded space which made it easy to explore without feeling rushed. The variety of exhibitions was truly impressive. From fascinating displays on the history of Native American and African American contributions to science, to engaging Lego, Music creation and mechanics exhibits, there was something for everyone. Each section was well-curated and offered a unique perspective that educated and entertained. Overall, this museum is Rochester, NY gem for anyone interested in science and history.

The museum always delivers! It provides many always changing experiences and setups. My children love running around learning and playing here. There was a themed event happening this weekend which they do often and it added even more fun to the mix. There were vendors and tables set up to learn about things in our local community. Always clean and refreshing. Would being my kids again and again.
Erika S — Google review
Nothing too fancy to see here. The museum has three floors, but most of the interesting stuff is on the second floor. General admission is $23, and the senior/student discount is just $1 less, which really doesn’t make much sense. For this price, I didn’t feel it was worth it. Compared to all the science museums that I've seen, this was honestly my least favourite! The souvenir shop was also disappointing, very limited selection, and I couldn’t literally find anything I actually wanted to buy.
Muhammad Λ — Google review
We had a great time visiting the Rochester Museum & Science Center and the Strasenburgh Planetarium! It’s an amazing spot for families, especially with curious kids who love to explore and learn through hands-on fun. The museum itself is packed with interactive exhibits — from exploring science and technology to diving into local history and nature. It was super engaging and educational without feeling like school work. The Strasenburgh Planetarium was a real highlight. We caught a show in the dome theater, and it was both relaxing and awe-inspiring. The presentation was easy to follow for all ages. It definitely sparked a lot of space-related questions on the ride home! The staff was friendly and patient, and everything felt clean and well-maintained. There’s a small café and a gift shop. I’ve noticed some families brought lunch from home and ate in the café area, but we drove about 4 minutes away to grab fast food. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day learning and having fun as a family. Highly recommend if you’re in the Rochester area, especially on a rainy day or when you’re looking for something meaningful to do with the kids! Clean, educational and fun. Highly recommend!

I love it here and look forward to going again! There was so much great information on display in creative ways. While I went on my own, as an adult, I noticed that there were many interactive tools for children to learn from. I especially appreciate how both the museum and planetarium center the voices and experiences of Indigenous people.

As far as a MUSEUM goes this one is fantastic. That being said, this place is meant for field trips and schools, as it's way better than a school day, but comes up short for a family day. I scoured reviews and looked for photos of exhibits but came up with very little information before we went. I took a 9 year break from RMSC and decided to take the kids back this week. The kids are 27 , 11 , 7 and 5 years old. Though they tried their best to keep a positive attitude, this was misery for them. We covered the entire museum in under 90 minutes. Though something here or there would get their attention for say, 60 seconds, we really struggled here. We arrived at 12:15 and there was NO parking. They are charging too much for this museum. It's a museum. It's mostly look at the exhibits and walk around. And frankly kids don't want to do that. 10-12$ pp would have been reasonable. They are charging "play museum" prices but come up beyond short. The museum is amazing. For a school trip. For a learning environment. But we do not consider this a fun family day.
Trista S — Google review
I visited the RMSC with my 2 teenage boys. I was worried that they'd be bored there but I was pleasantly surprised! Even though they know how and why things occur, they still had a blast playing and tinkering at all the learning stations. We had a very thorough lesson on earthquakes, watched a rocket launch propelled by liquid nitrogen and stood in a faraday cage while electricity arched towards us at the Electricity Theater. Science sure is fun!

Had a great time. Museum has interactive activities for the kids. The day we went they had an engineering workshop along with a small medical workshop. This place has 3 floors of activities. There is an elevator for quick access to all the levels including the ground level where a small dinning and snacking area is located. They also have lockers for rent. Plenty of parking

Waterfalls
High Falls, a stunning natural waterfall located in the historic district of Rochester, is a must-see for any traveler. Plummeting 96 feet into the Genesee River, this breathtaking site not only showcases nature's beauty but also tells the story of Rochester’s industrial past as it once powered local mills that earned the city its nickname "Flour City."
We brought our own picnic. High Falls is a lovely location, clean and attractive, with a rich and colorful history!

What a hidden gem right in the heart of the city! High Falls is such a unique spot. It's not every day you find a waterfall nestled within an urban landscape. The sound of the rushing water is like natural therapy, incredibly calming and refreshing. High Falls Terrace Park has a small parking lot on site, but spots are limited. We enjoyed walking around the area and taking in the views from the terrace lookout spot. A peaceful break from the city hustle, and definitely worth a stop if you're in Rochester!

Beautiful part of the city. Went during the fall with a friend and the fall foliage with the falls + little canyon is gorgeous! Definitely recommend visiting. Only issue is it isn’t in the best part of the city, I felt uncomfortable leaving my car parked for too long and they were definitely people up to no good walking around. But no one bothered my friend and I. People definitely smoke around here

Pretty falls in the middle of the city. Close to old Rochester and the historic buildings there as well as the Genesee Beer tavern.

It was a nice after dinner walk with a great view. No so much water, bit still a nice area to visit. The way they arranged everything is nice, but need some maintenance.

If you're looking for a waterfall, literally in the middle of Rochester, whichyou can see from a neat bridge that spans the Genesee River, you have found it right here. This is a surprising sight and it's also super cool. Parking nearby isn't great, but it is possible. Lots of neat photos ops. You'll have to dodge skaters, bikers, and Marijuana smoke.

The City of Rochester Public Market, operating since 1905, is a must-visit year-round destination. Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the market boasts up to 300 vendors at its peak. Visitors are treated to an impressive variety of farm-fresh produce, gourmet products, locally raised meats, art and crafts, flowers and more. Food enthusiasts will be delighted by the monthly Food Truck Rodeos from April through September. The market underwent an $8.
Always a "must do" when we are in Rochester. Tons of produce at very reasonable prices. Also a good selection of food stands for breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, etc.

We try to visit the local market whenever we are travelling and we were pleasantly surprised by the Rochester Public Market. We had our visit on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. There is limited parking at the market and cars are parked on the streets and in parking lots surrounding it. The produce was abundant and delicious. 🫑🌶️🍒🍅🥬🍓 There were spices, honey, jewellery and a variety of prepared foods.

My friends and I attended Drag on the Bricks at the Public Market. I have also been to Bands on the Bricks. The venue has a lot of parking, but a large section is usually blocked off so people have to park across the street. The stage set-up was fine, but the VIP section was off to the side of the stage, which did not feel like VIP at all. The queens put on a great show, battling through the heat. Massage chairs were available in VIP, which one my friends used and was quite pleased. Food was limited, especially for people with food restrictions. However, what was available tasted good. We all had a great time and would probably go again.

Always pleased. Have dealt with them maybe for 2 years and have never been disappointed. Sometimes I buy an entire box. Sometimes I don't order. Sometimes I get the extras. Highly recommend.

Love this place! They have a variety of options for produce, cheeses, snacks, flowers, and other items. There are also coffee shops and stores within the public market area. Prices are good and the people are very nice. This is also a great activity for a weekend to go with friends or family. I definitely recommend going as switch up from Wegmans.

Had the joy of meeting some really cool people, MOSS’ PRODUCE is where I stopped first and met Mr Thomas and Mr brown , just amazing people that give it their best to keep us eating healthy and with super reasonable prices. Then it was off to see Mr Vinny and what a light he is too. Just super awesome to see someone so amazing. When I told him to “keep the change” he gave me a cantaloupe and I whispered in his ear “ thank you 🙏, but I ‘can’t elope’ I’m already married” and he started laughing 😂…..older produce man is a great experience for anyone….Mr Thomas was so on point as I leveled his table the best I could, and he’s very gracious . This was a great experience for me 🙏

The public market is such a fun experience. I attend almost every Saturday. Vendors are so kind and love to chat with buyers. Inside the building is always clean and warm. From veggies/fruits to meats and seafood the market has something for someone. Little shops around it for delish meals. Open all year long Tues, Thurs and Sat. Sundays they have alternative events, as well as Food truck rodeo on wed during the summer.

ARTISANworks is a renovated factory building in Rochester that houses a diverse collection of multidisciplinary art pieces and offers event space. The 40,000-square-foot warehouse turned art gallery utilizes every inch of space to display its eclectic artwork in themed rooms and areas. Visitors can easily get lost exploring the hidden rooms, nooks, crannies, and endless spaces filled with interesting artifacts, gizmos, and gadgets. Additionally, the venue hosts various events including drag brunch shows.
Picture taking was hard due to lighting. We found this place through a website we follow called Atlas Abscura. When we travel, we like to find non-touristy places. This venue is absolutely AWESOME. We so wanted to stay for the tour that is generally not open, but husband had recent back surgery and just couldn't do more walking. A definite on your must see list.

If you're in Rochester and it happens to be a Friday Saturday or Sunday, this is a must visit venue. It's a huge former manufacturing facility renovated into a place that shows art and holds events. If a world-class Art gallery and an amazing event venue had a baby, it would be Artisan Works. This is at least a 2-hour walk through filled with all manner of Art in all forms of media, vintage cars, themed rooms, paintings and sculptures, photography, you name it and it's probably here or represented. I even spotted some Andy Warhol prints as well as a very large collection of Rochester's own Mark Groaning's work. Definitely come by and check this place out. Also of note, every Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. Artisan Works has a thrift sale and you can find some really really amazing work as well as incredibly low-priced items there. Items change and are refreshed every week.

Opening night of the 22nd annual Rochester Jazz Fest 2025. Smokey Robinson was the headliner. The last time I saw him in concert was 53 years ago at L.A.’s jewel, The Griffith Theater. I was 17 and he is now 85!!!! His sweet, melodic voice is still the same and for 85 the man is in incredible shape. He played many of his famous tunes and even some from his soon to be released album (yes, that’s right. At 85 he is still making new music). I thoroughly enjoyed him, the concert and he played to a packed Eastman Theater. What a treat!!

Corbett's Glen Nature Park is a serene escape nestled in Brighton, just outside Rochester. This enchanting park features winding trails that meander through lush woodlands, wetlands, and vibrant meadows, leading to a charming waterfall that serves as a perfect backdrop for photography enthusiasts. As you explore the well-maintained paths, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife that calls this area home—native birds, deer, and even foxes may make an appearance during your visit.
This is such a beautiful little park with 2 small waterfalls, well-kept trails, and tons of wildlife. Most of the trails are easily navigable, even for someone with mobility issues like myself. However, the trails are not stroller or wheelchair friendly. There aren't any restrooms, but there are stores with public restrooms nearby. Park is dog friendly, but you are required to leash your dog AND clean up after it...not everyone is respectful of these rules. Definitely bring mosquito repellent, as there's a lot of water and dense forestation. Overall, this is a really peaceful, pretty place!

A great scenic area, not too far from the city of Rochester. Corbett's Glen has a few trails to explore, but I usually stick to the main pathway with the waterfall area and the tunnel. Went here while my kids and I were out exploring looking for a playground. There was snow outside so the kids still had a blast. They have these awesome long slides and a few other obstacle things that kids can play on. I remember doing boot camp there and it's so much fun because there's so much space and stairs to do your workout on. I believe they do a lot of events here in the summer time too. Definitely worth checking out. I'm for sure taking my kids again when the weather gets nicer. Al though they loved it while snowing too.

I attended the Melvin Seals/ Dogs in A Pile show on Thursday. Ticketmaster tickets said 5:00. I tried to inquire with venue as to door time several times prior to show with no success. So I assume 4:00 and get there to ensure seat in VIP. I found out upon arrival venue opens at 5, VIP 6. So we waited for 2 hours in 100 degree heat so we’d have a seat in VIP. We did get a table… behind the speakers and sound. Not happy won’t return

Thought this would be more stunning that what it was. The fountain of feature was barely working and not filled to capacity. There was trash stewn about everywhere. The pond was in decent condition. The whole area needed some attention the day I stopped. Wouldn't make this a stop.

This is a monumental urban park with a lot of Rochester historical events: Battle-of-the-Band, Garth Fagan Summer dances, Christmas-n-the Park, Thursday's Bands-n-the Park. There is also a wading pool, a dynamic rental space for special events in the lower quad & an ice skating rink during the colder months. I feel that the City of Rochester could provide a MORE 'detailed maintenance service' at this site for beautification purposes. It's sad that the MLK Park after so many years of quality entertainment has slidered to this depth of desolation. 🥺

The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County is a notable attraction in New York, featuring a unique children's book section with an accessible secret room for wheelchair users. The library offers a diverse collection of books and exhibits an appealing architectural design with two parts connected by an underground walkway. However, the inconsistent operating hours, particularly during summer, may be perceived as a significant drawback, potentially limiting access for children.
Great library. It has everything you need, tech room with over 20 computers, 4 floors of actual bookshelves, great employees, lots of free services. Very close to public transport. Probably the best library I've visited in years.
Matthew L — Google review
It’s not really a library anymore! It’s a youth drop in and a social services center. There are absolutely no study spaces as every space is reserved for C.A.S.H. program. All the other space is geared towards youth, which is fine but as an adult student who pays taxes, i’d like a space to use as well; especially one that isn’t filled with homeless men coughing or plastic bottles. Lots of renovations are happening to the exterior of the older building while the interior is meh (to say the least). Lastly, the building is cold and the dividers do nothing to spare you from the noise. This is just not welcoming to all people in the city.

The contemporary arts center on campus features a stage for performing arts and galleries showcasing exhibitions. The set of buildings is aesthetically pleasing, hosting delightful shows. Beautiful set of buildings that offers lovely shows! It has nice practice rooms, decent classrooms, and plenty of places to sit alone or with others. Entire building is well-lit, quite clean, and most of it looks nice. Layout is pretty open on the main level but can be a bit hard to navigate. Lower level can be quite hard to navigate. Both levels have maps on the walls throughout the building and on the Naz website. Windows in building do not open. It's a terrific auditorium. The hall slopes toward the stage in a way that provides good views over the person seated in front of you, but not so steep that it's hard to walk. The stage is broad so action is visible from every angle at the sides of the hall. Sound is excellent at every seat.

The Record Archive is a music-focused store with a large selection of records and CDs. There is also a smaller selection of DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. The store has an interesting decor, including a bar and sitting area, and live music sometimes occurs here. The store was well-loved by its original owner's daughter.
Birthday Bash in the Backroom Lounge From start to finish the evening was fantastic! The atmosphere was spectacular, and the staff was amazing to work with. If you're looking for a special event venue, make sure to check out Record Archive Backroom Lounge! Create a night to remember!

a must visit for fans of music! they have such a wide variety of dvds, cds, and vinyl - vintage and new! the prices are also quite reasonable. if in rochester, stop by!!

The staff genuinely cares about every customer. It's rare to encounter real people who are truly invested in your experience. While it's easy to buy CDs and records online, why pay for shipping when you can discover a unique toy or the perfect baby shower gift right here? Supporting a local, caring community while finding your music makes all the difference.

We were so lucky to be able to book the Backroom Lounge for our 20th wedding anniversary! The space is amazing, with tons of seating, games to play, and a cool/quirky vibe. The staff was fantastic from set-up to helping us pack up the leftovers (catering options are AWESOME!) We had the best time and wholeheartedly recommend this venue! Thanks so much to everyone at Record Archive who helped create exactly the event we had hoped for!

Love this store. Record Archive is the embodiment of everything that is great about recorded physical media. You can get lost in this place, yet it’s beautifully organized so that you can find (usually) many copies of almost anything in existence. Fair prices, conservative record grading, and friendly staff. A great place to spend an afternoon for sure.
83911scdrew — Google review
Very wide selection of various forms of media. Was able to grab several records that I have been looking for. Still rating 5 stars despite an experience I had with one of the employees when I came in on 8/24/25. I was in line waiting to be cashed out behind several other folks as the store was closing, and I forgot to grab an album I saw earlier and simply didn’t add to my pile. I ran back to grab it and as I was walking up the ramp to get back into the line, one of the workers yelled “We are closed.” Like yeah, I get it. I’d want to leave to if my job was closing for the day, but what did he want me to do? I couldn’t pay yet because no cashier was available, so I opted to go and spend more money. Additionally, I was already walking back up the ramp into the line. Just didn’t sit right with me as I then spent around $250. I’ll be back because of the available records and the other employees were great

Great Embankment Park is a delightful destination for those seeking adventure and relaxation along the scenic Erie Canal. Rent a bike at Towpath Bike and explore the area, or bring your kayak to enjoy an accessible launch point for paddling. The park features well-maintained walking trails, making it perfect for leisurely strolls or energetic runs.
Great Embankment Park is a true gem! The new playground is fantastic and conveniently located near the canal, making it perfect for a family outing. The nature trail is stunning, showcasing a wonderful variety of trees and flora. It's a peaceful escape from it all, ideal for leisurely walks or enjoying the beauty of nature. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful park!
Tim — Google review
Nice park, good playground for able bodied kids and parents. I’m not going to say it’s inaccessible but the closest and most level walk is almost 1 minute and 40 seconds (I walk quickly) and it’s on a loose gravel path. Not a great place for all people which is a shame because it is a beautiful park with a fun looking playground.
John L — Google review
The great embankment Park, is part of the erie canal heritage Trail. Complete it in 1822, and it’s 1 mile long, 70 feet high across. This is a clean park it has soccer fields and playgrounds for the kids.
Javi G — Google review
Along the Erie Canal. For a short walk start here an go to Bushnell basin and back. about 2 miles. The embankment allowed the canal to span a valley without needing to build locks. Today the park has a number of sport fields. The canal is the focus for many people. It a easy access point for those that wish to walk, run or bike the Erie Canal trail. There is a dock for fishing and one for launching kayaks and canoes.
Charles D — Google review
Nice park along the canal. Soccer fields look in good shape although I don't think they are getting much use during Covid. The upper parking area is close to the canal path and docks for kayaks and canoes. It seems to be used mostly by bicyclists and walkers. There are some benches, a nice playground and new picnic tables.
Stew S — Google review
Beautiful and functional park newly built on the bank of the canal as part of the recent improvements. Playground for small children. Soccer fields and access to the canal trail for adults. A small covered pavilion for picnics. Not many people there yesterday, it's so new, but well worth finding. One point off because the sprinklers came on while we were on the field :). Kids even enjoyed that.
K B — Google review
Awesome playground, many many soccer fields, good bathrooms, right on the canal and canal towpath hiking trail, and my favorite thing is in the South East corner of the park, right on the canal trail, is the kindness tree. there are flat rocks with empowering and inspiring messages that people can take. And other people like me create rocks and place them there. It's really cool!
Fred D — Google review
A great new playground with lots of fun stuff to climb, plus a very short walk to the canal path or an easy wooded trail for some scenic exercise! It's usually a little windy here but never very crowded, a favorite of our toddler!

I absolutely love going to this park! So beautiful and so many things to do. Its great place to become 1 with nature and it's great for the whole family. We visited the birdsong fairy trail this past visit

Parking is hard to find as it is street parking. Skates were uncomfortable and staff especially a tall guy with tattoos was extremely rude. Comments were being made about how they shouldn’t be open because it was snowing. The nicest person was the only guy outside clearing the snow I believe his jacket had Gomez on it.
Jayz24981 — Google review
One of my favorite parks in Monroe County!!! Plenty of nature trails, fishing areas, pavilions, and the wild wings birds of prey facility which is awesome! Great place for geocaching too.
Broden B — Google review
For any outdoor enthusiast, Mendon Ponds has you covered across all seasons. Cyclists and skaters can enjoy a ride along looping roads, self selecting difficulty levels. Trails here are well maintained and expansive-showing off the diverse landscaping of the park. The park also serves as a community gathering place for various events. It should be noted that not all trails are accurately shown on Google Maps or Strava, so have a clear view of where you are headed beforehand in order to not experience any unexpected surprises. Seniors often take senior photos here- this is best as a summer activity if seeking a 'woodsy' aesthetic. When looking for exploration and adventure or chance to reconnect with nature, Mendon Ponds park is sure to bring satisfaction.

Easy to moderate trails for hiking and biking, well maintained. There are several trails to choose from. Usually uncrowded.

What a delightful park! Didn't begin to do everything it offers. Hiked two of the well-maintained trails through beautiful woods and around lovely ponds. Will be revisiting.
Lynda R — Google review
One of my favorite parks since childhood. Even though there isn't a swim beach there anymore, you can bring a kayak, now there's pickleball, there are plenty of trails for walking - steep or flat, and cross country skiing. Loads of open space. Go to the last entrance (coming from Monroe Ave.) for the chickadees in winter. They'll land in your hand, on your head, or basically anywhere you put seeds. *I do not recommend the main sledding hills. Three hills from different directions end at the bottom. Perfect strom for injuries. My kiddo broke her wrist).
Amy O — Google review
Great park, amazing views, not crowded, or dog loved it, lots of frogs/toads jumping on the path🥰 A little buggy, use spray. Mostly that's, though. Not bad considering how much swampy water is around. We did the area around Devils Bathtub and about 2 miles out from there. Will be back to explore more areas!

I had a great first time experience here today. The guys working the desk where very welcomed and patient with all my questions. They took their time helping me and a friend getting into our kayak. You have the option to go up the canal or even go through the lock (just make sure you tell them). Definitely would go again and hope that the wind will be less of a nuisance.

People here were nice and the launch is ina good location. There is a lock right near the kucnh and you can go through it which was anew experience for our group. If you go that direction you can make it to an ice-cream shop and back within a 3 hour window at a medium slow to medium pace.

I took the "Introduction to Whitewater" class yesterday (7/28/19). The class size was very small and the instructors (Charles and Brian) were welcoming and very patient. Every new skill they would start with a solid foundation: what the skill will be and why it is important for whitewater, then they will demonstrate it, lastly they will have you complete the skill under their close supervision. I can not express what an amazing time I had in words, we started the day with the basics and some of those in the class had only been in a boat once before. By the end of the day everyone was learning and playing in the rapids of the whitewater park confidently. The gear they give you is in great shape and the course itself has fun features for someone who is new to the sport (me) or someone who has been paddling for years. TLDR: Lived in Rochester my whole life and wish I would have known about this place sooner. Well worth the money and the employees are incredibly nice and welcoming!!
Myles O — Google review
Excellent walking park. If you're lucky and come at the right time, you might catch a boat being lowered into the canal, so it can go under the bridge.

Sunday, Sept 24th a beautiful day for kayaking. My sister called several locations and found Genesee Waterways had the best prices in area. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a smile and happy attitude of Paul. Very seldom do you find someone who enjoys his work. We told him we needed the kayak to rent for several hours. But the dock was up and over the embankment . He had no problem carrying the kayak to the dock for us. He assisted me to get into the kayak with the bad knee I favor and all went smoothly. We went on our voyage, telling him to lookout for us in a couple hours to help get back out of kayak. He assured us not to worry. Well, 2 hours later, we arrived back to the dock, seeing Paul looking for us. The whole day was beautiful. Thankyou Paul for making kayaking a pleasurable experience and Genesee Waterways is lucky to have such a great employee working for them.

This place was super quiet. I really enjoyed my hike/walk. Definitely on the easier and shorter side but definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a quick and quiet trail to clear your head.

I've been coming to this place since I was in high school and I'm 37 years old and I still love it. It is not an off leash dog park. Don't follow my example. The long walk is about 1.75 mi and the small loop is about a mile. The place is beautiful. Don't ruin it.

Nice little walk on relatively flat trail. The observation deck is not really special, it overlooks a swamp that’s overgrown. It could probably use some maintenance but there is literally nothing to look at. Parking is easy.

This park is newly build.. maybe opened this year. Enough parking; nearly 4 reserved parkings. Clean Bathrooms, extended kids play area with two giant rocks for climbing. There is an excellent soccer ground next to the park..
Bharathirajan D — Google review
Pros: This is a small playground with much to do. There is a wide open field nearby and right near the playground are two very large rocks perfect for climbing. There is a nice bathroom shelter right next to the playground and plenty of parking. Cons: There are no swings at this playground and it is in direct sun. It is fairly close to the parking lot put the parking lot is rarely busy unless the field is in use. Notes: Visiting in August? There's a sunflower field down the road near the intersection of Clover and Calkins Rd.

Thanking the kind farmers for letting us enjoy the beautiful sunflowers. Found this place through the “Day Tripping in Rochester” site. And this is not exactly at Hopkins farm, it is a bit far/ on the way. You can get directions from the above site. It was a beautiful and there were many to do photo shoots.

International Art Acquisitions is a renowned art gallery that specializes in acquiring new and innovative artworks from around the world. Operating since 2010, the gallery has built a reputable reputation for itself by championing new and emerging artists. Its vast collection features works from all corners of the globe, and its staff is dedicated to helping collectors find the perfect piece of art.
Absolutely the best high end art gallery in town. Sophisticated and refined. A great experience if you are accustomed to the finer things in life. The staff is so well educated in all areas: art, interior design, and business. They can take your homes and/or offices and turn it into a space that by far exceeds your expectations. Especially now post COVID, I would take yourself to the gallery and experience the full service of this gallery. Treat yourself to updating your space and enjoy the process with all the wonderful consultants at International Art Acquisitions. I give the owner high regards for training her staff so well and running such a dynamic enterprise.

Well no I've never been to this place of business but I'm looking for an appraisal of some pieces I have and appreciate the "honest" reviews of one star as the feeble responses to these one star reviews tells the real story. Having dealt in antiques throughout my life, especially in Dallas, TX. I'm very familiar of this, we're all that and more attitude. You think that's true then it's gonna costya...yeah I'll keep looking elsewhere. Thanks folks.
Leslee S — Google review
There is truly no other place in Rochester or surrounding areas like this art gallery. The collection is vast and varied and the expertise of the owner is bar none. I have had her do appraisals for me and am always amazed at the wealth of information I leave with. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase art, have an appraisal or even browse. I'm saddened by the person who gave such a bad review-this business has been around for 30 years. I don't think they would have lasted that long if what he wrote was really the case.
Karen T — Google review
The experience at International Art Acquisitions is exquisite. The owner has tremendous knowledge and her passion for the art clearly shows as she guides you through the vast collection of artwork in the gallery. One will certainly have no trouble finding artwork that suits their personal taste as well as complement their home or business. A wide selection of artwork, comprehensive knowledge and a passion for the arts make visiting International Art Acquisitions a truly rewarding experience.

I have been buying my artwork from IAA for over 20 yrs. The staff is extremely knowledgable, the art is gorgeous and very diverse! The quality of the artwork is impeccable. I have many original pieces that I get so many compliments on. Whenever I am looking for another piece of artwork it is my go to gallery.

I have dealt with this business for over 10 years. They are always knowledgeable, professional, discreet and provide one-of-a-kind art services for the Rochester community and beyond. This is a gem of a business to have in our area. It makes me sad to see any negative comments because they're obviously from visitors who don't have an understanding of the art world and what is required from this type of business to excel.
Karen — Google review
This is one of my favorite places to visit in Rochester. It's full of wonderful artwork and the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. I love walking around and gazing at all the beautiful works of art. Lovely atmosphere, impressive artwork, professional staff. Great place.
Lydia T — Google review
Fabulous! Enjoyed my visit and was treated quite well. I believe that Austin (a previous review), may not understand commerce. This establishment is not for unattended children. Perhaps his mother needs to plan a visit herself. It appears that her snot-nosed son has been making a habit of leaving negative reviews regarding establishments that are simply trying to operate a business. Complaining about your UPS delivery, a pizza that you don't enjoy, and a slow internet tells one that you hang in your mother's basement, bored and need something constructive to do. Boredom can actually kill you. Scientists have proven that boredom is linked to early deaths due to things such as heart attacks and strokes. I digress... Happy New Year! Cheers.

Cozy atmosphere, great lighting to view art work. Nice people to speak with. I have a painting hanging there, for the first time. They treated me, very well, and I felt at ease.

Pittsford fine arts is exactly what you would expect - a group of the rudest, most entitled, over-rated artists in the area. You walk in to their gallery to be glared at and judged - not welcomed.
