1Bungalows Key Largo

Bungalows Key Largo is an upscale, adult-only, all-inclusive resort located in Key Largo. The resort offers luxurious bungalows with a private beach, daily yoga sessions, and multiple dining options. Guests can enjoy non-motorized water sports like paddle boarding and kayaking as part of their stay. The resort also features two outdoor pools, jacuzzis, a full-service spa, and a fitness center.
My husband and I just spent 4 nights at Bungalows Key Largo and we were so impressed! The resort made you feel like you were on a tropical island. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The food was amazing! Plenty of options for both land and sea lovers. You never left your table hungry due to the generous portion sizes. Drinks were always tasty and available! The service/hospitality was over the top! We seriously felt like royalty with the way we were waited on. Yes, the cost was a little higher than our normal vacations but it was definitely worth it!! We have already said that we need to make this a yearly thing!
Sam S — Google review
The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, the grounds are immaculate, and there is noticeable attention to detail throughout the property. The staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming, and the food was very good. However, there were several disappointments that made our experience less than what we expected given the premium price point. My husband requires delivery of life-sustaining medical supplies, and we requested that the resort waive the per-package delivery fee, especially considering we were paying over $1,000 per night for our stay. Unfortunately, despite multiple requests and asking to escalate the matter, no accommodation was made. The only “solution” offered was to charge the same fee either as one lump sum or as multiple separate charges, which amounted to the same cost. I asked to speak with a manager but was never able to do so, and eventually communication simply stopped. This lack of compassion and unwillingness to accommodate a medical necessity was disappointing and not what I would expect from a resort at this level. It was also our anniversary trip, and while the setting itself was romantic, there were no special acknowledgements or touches to make the occasion feel recognized, which was surprising. Other considerations: while the property is lovely, there is not much to do on-site, and the entertainment felt limited and, at times, underwhelming. There is also quite a bit of tipping expected, and few non-alcoholic drink options available, which would have been nice to see. Overall, the Bungalows is a visually stunning resort with strong food and friendly staff, but the lack of sensitivity in handling medical needs and the missed opportunities to make a special occasion feel special left us disappointed.
Danielle — Google review
The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained, but unfortunately the food was a major disappointment. At $1,000 a night for an all-inclusive, we expected high-quality dining, but the meals were consistently low-quality, poorly sourced, and often inedible. By the third morning we couldn’t even face the breakfast buffet anymore—the bacon tasted reheated from days prior. On multiple occasions, we picked around our plates rather than finishing our meals. Drinks were also misleading—our mojitos were made with Sprite without our knowledge. While I understand all-inclusive pricing accounts for alcohol, there’s no way to get value here unless you drink heavily all day. The food itself tasted microwaved, watery, and flavorless, with piles of cheese masking the lack of quality. Even the “upscale” dining option (which was included with our four-night stay) was equally poor—we didn’t finish any of our dishes. The restaurants are beautifully designed and the property has potential, but the dining experiences left us uncomfortable. Some servers had language barriers that added to awkward interactions, particularly as two women traveling without men. In fairness, I think the average American traveler might enjoy the resort if expectations are kept low, but it’s marketed as upscale, and it is simply not. If you appreciate well-sourced, quality food, you’ll be disappointed. By the end of our trip, we chose to eat off-property at our own expense rather than continue with the included meals. Beautiful resort, poor execution on what should be a key part of the experience.

What an amazing experience! This place makes you feel like you are on a tropical island. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile and a hello/good morning/good evening. Everyone was very helpful and kind including the food service and wait staff. Our room was and clean and tended to twice a day. The daily and nightly entertainment was enjoyable with good quality musicians/singers. The whole resort is very cozy and the tropical landscaped gardens were the highlight. The cocktails were amazing, and my wife who doesn't drink was pleased that they even had a mocktail list as well as several non-alcoholic wines and beer. The outside dining was beautiful. We also loved the privacy of our room and the resort as a whole. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our room and experience. Everything was top notch. Once stepping onto the grounds it felt like you entered another world. We planned this for our 10 year anniversary and was not disappointed. The floating tiki bar excursion was fantastic, we made new friends, relaxed, and had a great time. The captain was a fun, we talked to him a lot and he was able to personalize the experience for us. We saw dolphin and other amazing wildlife. We also went to a nearby island and were able to paddle board around and had a fantastic experience. The staff was exceptional. Their was great attention to detail to make the experience personal and unique. The manager really knows what she is doing and is doing an exceptional job! Thanks so much for providing a place to rest and relax and get some meaningful time away.

My husband and I just stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary! We stayed in the bungalow! It was beautiful and CLEAN! Our outside private porch and soaking tub and outdoor shower were so nice! I like how they have it all closed off you feel like you’re in the Caribbean. Food was good! There’s two included restaurants. Nightly entertainment! We loved the woman Lee. She was very talented and had a vibrant personality! We did yoga two mornings in a row on beach and both yoga instructors were wonderful! We had a massage by the bay. That was wonderful! At night is so serene and beautiful! During the day you could relax by the Zen pool or the party pool! Loved the poolside service ! First time experiencing that! We didn’t know we should put do not disturb if you don’t want your room clean. When we came back, we noticed someone was in our room. We were a little alarmed , but it was OK. She was very sweet! I wish I remembered her name! She was very passionate about her job And respected the amount of money we pay to stay there so she was adamant about having a clean room for us. We had an absolute amazing time and did not want to leave!. Needless to say, we will be back and don’t hesitate, book your visit! Alicia was wonderful at the front desk very welcoming by the way! That definitely sets the tone for our trip. All the staff members were very friendly! You don’t wanna pay that kind of money and go to a resort where staff is miserable. You kinda get the feel of being miserable too, luckily, that was not the case here.. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

I cannot say enough good things about Bungalows except for BOOK THE TRIP! The food was amazing, the resort itself is stunning, and the staff is so kind and lovely. Highly recommend taking the Everglades Eco-Tour, too! Shout out to Captain Chris and Ryan for a great tour - even in the rain! I've seen reviews where people were upset about having to tip and I guess they didn't read anything sent by the hotel or are just clueless. We were happy to tip the staff for their amazing service! We can't wait to go back!

Chill, Luxurious, and Totally Worth It Bungalows Key Largo was amazing from start to finish. The staff? Super friendly and made us feel right at home. We felt like we made friends and look forward to seeing them again. The food was next-level we’re still thinking about the seafood. Breakfast was meh... but who needs breakfast? We loved that we could just relax one day and go on a snorkeling trip the next. Everything was easy, laid back, and exactly what a vacation should be. If you want a relaxing, all-inclusive trip where you feel taken care of, this is the spot. Already planning the next trip!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Majestic and Unforgettable Experience! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and there simply aren’t enough words to describe how incredible everything was. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. The staff was warm, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The facilities are stunning, with every detail carefully thought out. Our room was elegant, comfortable, and offered a breathtaking view. Everything was spotless. Every corner of the hotel exudes luxury and good taste. The food was another highlight: breakfast was varied and delicious, and the dinners felt like dining at a five-star restaurant. The overall atmosphere of the hotel radiates peace, sophistication, and a touch of magic that made our stay truly special. Without a doubt, I give it the highest rating and would recommend it to anyone looking for a majestic and unique experience. We’ll definitely be back! Alfonso family

10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️At Little Palm Island, the journey itself becomes part of the experience, arriving by boat, with a captain and crew who carry themselves with the elegance of a royal escort, already sets the stage for something extraordinary. Once ashore, the service elevates hospitality to an art form. Joyce and José ⭐️orchestrated flawless service with grace and precision, while the manager and hostess embodied a warmth so refined that it made the present moment feel timeless. The cuisine, meanwhile, reflects a rare mastery. Each dish bore the unmistakable signature of a kitchen deeply committed to craft, layers of flavor, balance, and creativity that spoke of discipline and passion in equal measure. This was not simply dining; it was an immersion into culinary artistry. An experience that surpasses even its breathtaking views, unquestionably among the finest. The best of the best, to which I shall return whenever possible.

What a gem. My wife and I recently spent 4 nights there and absolutely loved every minute of it. The food is exquisitely amazing, the service is superb, the rooms are wonderful, the staff is extremely attentive and nice, and the amenities and atmosphere make it an easy 5 star resort. I just want to say thank you for making our stay so special.
Dr T — Google review
From the front desk, captain, host, and even Joyce our server, everyone treated my wife and me like kings! Especially José, the server assistant, made the night unforgettable! he was super helpful, explained every amazing dish of the 3-course dinner, and was so attentive with everything. On top of that, the sunset ocean view from every table is just unbelievable. The seating times are perfect to enjoy it, and we recommend the first sitting so you have more time to appreciate the view. We loved this place and will definitely come back!

I never imagined that Florida had a place like this. Little Palm Island is a true tropical paradise, reminiscent of Bali or a secluded island in Indonesia. The only way to get here is by boat, and the journey itself makes you feel completely detached from everyday life. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by an electric cart that delivers your belongings to charming cottages without televisions — so nothing distracts you from the harmony and tranquility. Everything around you immerses you in pure relaxation: open-air bathtubs on the balconies, hammocks, a fireplace, a private pool, serene beaches, and quiet docks. Every detail is designed to make you feel absolute comfort and peace. I will definitely return here and recommend this place to everyone. And for those looking for the perfect wedding venue, this is truly a magical location to create unforgettable memories.
Julia B — Google review
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa was unforgettable! The room was spotless with stunning ocean views, and the staff made everything feel effortless. We loved the boat ride to the sandbar, fishing off the docks, and kayaking around the island. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were perfect for the ideal place to relax and completely recharge. Can’t wait to come back!
Eddie L — Google review
This was our third visit to the island and much has changed in the service and attention to details. Less staff and the training of the staff seems lacking. Our first 2 experiences were spectacular it was truly a very special place where you were treated and cared for with excellence. Unfortunately that was not our experience this time. It is truly sad because it is a beautiful location and many updates have been done after Irma that are great. Service and guest attention need to improve greatly and when it dioes it will truly be the Unique and beautiful destination we were accustomed to.

This Oasis of an island makes you feel like you are on your own planet. Incredible Resort staff and amenities. World class food. This is a must-see. Well worth a two-night stay 3 to 4 is better... if you fly into Miami or Key West and rent a car and drive.

Isla Bella Beach Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat located on 24 acres of beachfront property in the Florida Keys. The resort features opulent rooms and suites with stunning ocean views, spacious outdoor terraces, and modern amenities. Guests can enjoy five outdoor pools, a spa for relaxation, Italian dining options, and a beachside bar surrounded by palm trees.
Feels like a real Island getaway! I had the best weekend, can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. The rooms are so spacious, with great beds, huge balcony with amazing ocean views. Loved the option of the main pool, which is a little busier with drink & food service, or one of the other four pools which are much quieter and so nice and relaxing. Food was so good, Beach Bar is great with live musical and seating with fire pits. The staff was so nice everywhere we went. My favorite hotel in the keys!
Vanessa H — Google review
Went here for 4 nights with my sister for pool time. The accommodations are very nice, bed is comfortable, and daily activities were available. We hung out at the pool which was quite large! We went to candy happy hour and gelato happy hour (1/2 price). Burgers, fries, & onion rings at the pool were great! The main restaurant Mahina was disappointing for a 5 star resort. The steak looked boiled. Very mid. Sushi was good. I think the restaurant could do much better but other than that we loved it and would definitely return. Easy to eat off resort and even go to Key West - 1 hour further. Beautiful property!!!!

We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday at Isla Bella with a group of 14, and I truly can’t say enough about how incredible the staff was. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and even included special treats for my dog—a thoughtful detail that meant so much! For the big night, we hosted a luau-themed dinner party at Mahina Restaurant, and the manager, Kyle, went above and beyond to make everything perfect. From helping me with the centerpieces to relighting the floating candles every time the wind blew them out, he ensured every detail was flawless. Our waitress, Alex, was just as wonderful—her warm and attentive service made the evening feel effortless. Behind the scenes, Laurie, the event coordinator, was an absolute lifesaver. She responded to every email right away, connected me with a florist and baker, and coordinated everything with the Mahina team to bring the party together. I even had to change my reservation three different times, and the staff was endlessly patient and accommodating throughout. Every single person at Isla Bella went out of their way to make sure my mom felt celebrated on her milestone birthday. It was truly unforgettable, and I can’t recommend this resort enough!

Roomas are decent size , but the balcony is not private. If your wearing a dress you can see up it from the balcony below. Sand and anything from the guest above you will fall on your head. I don't know why they put up walls that you can see right through to the other balcony on each side. You might as well be sitting with everyone on your floor. Not enough tables at the beach bar, they literally use all them for parties or weddings if they book a party your forgot about. Your not allowed in some places like where you see the sunset the best, and our dinner was served and we were never checked on after. We couldn't eat our waffle fries as they would have broke our tooth trying. Walked to the bar to get my own refill. Grounds are beautiful but service needs improved! And redo your balconies! Some like to sit peacefully on their balcony in night clothes on vacation.

We visited for our honeymoon and I was in awe the whole time. It was a beautiful resort. The views were breathtaking and our room was in a perfect location. The service was fantastic!! A huge shout out to Laryssa who was our server for breakfast twice and the server at the beach.. she greeted us with a smile everytime and I could tell she just wanted to keep her customers happy!! At our dinner we had House as a server, he was friendly and didn’t rush us. He even offered to take our photo in front of the sunset, ( of course I asked for a selfie with him) lastly, our bartender Rewant was super nice and always smiled!! We loved every minute of our stay!! I can’t wait to visit again!!

3 generations of our family stayed at Isla Bella following Christmas through the New Year, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. The scenic views were incredible, the 2 bedroom suite enabled us to have a separate space for adults, the food was delicious (at all restaurants) and the service of all staff was exceptionally accommodating and focused on the customer (from the restaurants, to the front desk and management, to the groundskeepers). There were so many activities for kids that kept things interesting, and the variety of pools eliminated any risk of overcrowding. We'll be back. Thanks for an incredible stay!
Kara B — Google review
Beautiful resort/rooms (and dog friendly!) with great water views from the verandas/balconies, and perfectly positioned to capture great sunrises and sunsets. Also has a really nice beachy feel (somewhat rare in the otherwise pretty rocky/swampy keys) with all the white sand and private beach. Complimentary champagne and water bottles upon arrival was a nice touch (especially with the cold water refill stations throughout the resort). But, the lunch/dinner options on the resort are really… lacking… for an otherwise high-quality place.

Situated in Key Largo, Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection is a popular dive resort offering stunning views of the bay and pristine white sand beaches. This four-star hotel provides a wide range of amenities including a year-round pool, sports facilities, fitness center, and a luxurious spa. Guests can indulge in delectable cuisines at the onsite restaurants catering to all dietary needs.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this resort! From the moment you arrive you are treated like a million bucks!! Javier at valet was so kind and helped us with taking our bags to our room. Claudia and Jolena were super helpful at the concierge. Jolena helped schedule in room amenities to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday!! Norendra helped us with the beachside Chiminea and was great!!! All around such a positive experience. The pool is open 24 hours.

Very underwhelming for an Autograph property. The hotel itself is extremely clean and put together nicely. Beautiful views throughout. Rooms are nice, ours was clean and decently sized, though we did get an upgrade. Unfortunately the AC didn’t ever get below 71 degrees and the toilet handle had to be jiggled after each use. Beds were very firm and somewhat uncomfortable. Food was mediocre, not horrible, and not anything to get excited about either. Better off to leave the property and explore some of the amazing local spots. We hung out by the beach and the service was poor at best. Server would barely come around and after he took your drink order you wouldn’t see him for another 20 minutes with that order. They add 20% gratuity to every order whether you like it or not, charge a “resort” fee, and charge you to park. The servers definitely know they are getting their tip and the service reflects it. For the price they charge and the value you get, there are better options in the keys. We will not be returning to the property again.

We had a great stay loved the beach area and the pool were very nice. My husband was able to fish off the dock. There are a few things that could be improved. The refrigerator in our room was eco friendly and had to be turned on every 2 hrs when we were out all day it ruined our groceries and the Hot Tub was way too Hot.
Jennifer M — Google review
The resort is compact but well laid out. There are 4 restaurants across the site, but beware not all are open every night. There is also very limited choice for vegetarian travellers. Unfortunately we had to have the same dish, from the same restaurant on two consecutive nights. There are local options for food, but none that are within walking distance. The rooms are nice and clean with all amenities you would expect for a resort of this standing. However, do not be fooled by any descriptions of partial ocean views. Unless you are on the top floor you will have probably no view of the ocean, unless you go for a ‘full ocean view’. The patio view rooms will experience some noise from the resort pool and bar. Although this was not too distracting. There was some building work going on during our stay, and this posed more of an irritation. We were not aware of this or informed at check-in. There is a nice pool in the centre of the resort, plus a well maintained beach area plus bay swimming zone. Water-sports are also available to hire. There is self parking available, as well as the usual valet service. There is an adequate gym on site, but some of the equipment was non functional. If you are looking to kick back and relax, and eat on site (with no dietary restrictions), I would highly recommend.

Back again—and we love this place! From the moment we checked in, the service was excellent. Alexa was extremely friendly and accommodating, handling our two rooms seamlessly and making sure every detail was taken care of. While walking my dogs, I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Kristin, the executive chef for all of Playa Largo. Every meal we had—from breakfast to lunch to dinner—was absolutely wonderful. She even went the extra mile and arranged pup cups for my dogs, which was such a thoughtful touch. One morning, while grabbing coffee, we accidentally made a mess at the station. Tatiana kindly came over, helped clean up, and reassured us it was no problem at all. Her kindness really stood out. A big shoutout to the valet team as well. I had picked up a screw in my tire on the drive down, and they noticed it was flat. They not only called to let me know but also offered to fill it with air—thank you, Sugar, for going above and beyond with that hospitality. And of course, no stay here is complete without a visit to the bar. Taylor, Hector and Tyler always take great care of us, keeping us hydrated and making our stay fun. Honestly, we come back just to see them! Thanks again to all the staff for another amazing stay. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Our experience at Playa Largo Resort was truly remarkable. We celebrated our wedding at this stunning resort five years ago, surrounded by loved ones. The staff's warmth and dedication made our special day truly unforgettable. The resort's beauty and exceptional staff continue to impress even five years later. The Food and Beverage Team delivered outstanding service, exceeding all expectations. Cristina, Vivian, Martina, Jean, Lesly, Sasa, Jasmine, Shuana, Paul, and Tatiana were outstanding. Cristina's exceptional service, from our initial conversation, set the tone for a memorable trip. Our room offered breathtaking views of the courtyard, beach, and bay. I highly recommend Playa Largo Resort for its genuine hospitality and exceptional staff. We look forward to returning.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Playa Largo Resort, and I will never forget how Vivian Bissada made the entire evening extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, she went out of her way to ensure everything felt special. She arranged a beautiful cabana and made sure we had a stunning sunset-view table — the perfect setting to celebrate such a milestone. Her attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care made me feel not just like a guest, but truly valued. Vivian turned what could have been a regular dinner into a memory I’ll treasure forever. Thank you, Vivian, for making my celebration magical — Playa Largo is lucky to have you! Outstanding Service by Chef Kristin!! No less than Michelin Star Experience ❤️ Dining at Playa Largo Resort was an unforgettable experience thanks to Chef Kristen Nemeth. As vegetarians, we’re often limited when dining out, but Chef Kristen went above and beyond — creating a personalized menu just for us. Every dish was thoughtful, flavorful, and made with such care that we felt truly seen and celebrated. Her creativity and dedication turned our evening into more than just a meal — it was an experience. Knowing the Executive Chef herself crafted something unique for us made it feel so special. Thank you, Chef Kristen, for your kindness and artistry. You made my 40th birthday dinner one-of-a-kind!

This could be a nice resort, but it has some issues. Not worthy of 4 start rating at all. Our first day there, we went to the pool. There was trash on the ground, seating was not well maintained on the pool deck, and the chairs were really uncomfortable (most Marriott hotel resorts have nice thick cushioned loungers; these hit your center spine with a bar). Our room was nice. Clean room, thank goodness, but our patio outside our room was filthy (dirty seating, dirty floor, cobwebs). Food is good. I've been to Marriott resorts all over the world and this pool deck needs help. It should be a jewel section of the resort. Otherwise, it's an ok spot. Read other reviews. Many confirm this.

Nestled along the Gulf of Mexico, Parrot Key Hotel & Villas offers a charming old-fashioned beach community vibe with its rocking-chair porches and picket fences. The property features lush landscaping, multiple secluded swimming pools surrounded by gardens, white-sand sunbathing terraces, and stunning waterfront views. Guests can enjoy watersports on-site or take advantage of nearby kayaking.
We stayed at Parrot Key Hotel September 15-19th and we had an absolutely wonderful experience! The pools were absolutely beautiful, clean, well kept, and so quiet! The poolside restaurant and bar was so convenient while staying at the hotel. The drink and food prices were a bit high (but is expected at a hotel/resort). The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, right across the street from a shopping center with everything you need and beautiful water views, and only a short drive to old town Key West! We will definitely be staying here again!

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re looking for peace, value, or comfort. The room and terrace were constantly noisy due to loud poolside music starting at 07:30 and continuing for around 14 hours — every single day with the same playlist. Plus you have an air con unit next to you belting out hot air and a loud fan noise. It was relentless! Transport was another letdown. We weren’t informed that the shuttle bus needed to be booked in advance, and it only runs a few times a day — not in the evenings when you'd actually want to use it. This made getting around quite expensive with Ubers and the hotel location being out of town. The hotel itself feels tired and in need of a refresh — a good clean and a fresh coat of paint would go a long way. Meals are served on plastic plates and drinks in plastic cups, which really cheapens the experience. There’s no indoor bar open late, which limits evening options. To top it off, the $30 daily parking fee is excessive and adds to the overall poor value for money. Disappointing stay.

We loved our stay at Parrot Key Resort! The property is gorgeous with lush landscaping, peaceful pools, and clean, comfortable rooms that made it easy to relax. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. Special thanks to Manager Ashley, who helped us quickly resolve a problem with genuine care and professionalism—she turned a potential headache into a great experience. Between the beautiful setting and outstanding service, Parrot Key is an easy 5 stars. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful. Clean. Deluxe. Everyone from the front desk to the valet and mangle were exceptional. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the AC was not working but it wasn’t hot in the room because of the fans in the ceiling. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

After a two-and-a-half-week road trip through South Florida, Parrot Key was our second-to-last stop for one night. Looking for relaxation? Then this is not your hotel. Party music early in the morning by the pool, gardening work at 6 a.m., and very noisy rooms (we could hear the footsteps of the people below us). Looking for decent rooms? Then this hotel, or apartment 55B, is not for you. The carpet in front of the fridge was soaked, the living room carpet was disgustingly sticky in one spot, the furniture and walls were worn out, light switches didn’t work, and bulbs in the bathroom were defective. The location is in a commercial area. Without a car it will likely be expensive or exhausting to get to the tourist spots. The valet parking is basically a joke, since the parking spaces are right next to the hotel. For the price, we expected more and were glad we had only booked for one night.

Cute little place, 3 pools. If you stay anywhere other than the 1st floor, you have to go up steps. They give you a glass of champagne when arriving. It is about a mile from Duvall Street and they offer a shuttle that's free but only at certain times

Booked a room here and got a confirmation number only to drive 4 hours and for them to tell me the card declined and they tried to call me. I checked my phone and had no missed calls. The room then cost almost double the $299 plus tax confirmed with my confirmation number. I used to stay here a lot and book all my employees rooms here. Won’t be back. See photos for proof

Parrot Key is great if you have lots of money to spend and don't care about value. To summarize my review: book a fancy king guestroom with a water view or don't book at all. My partner and I were mistakenly assigned a one bedroom unit with two queen beds at first, rather than the one king bed that we booked. This gave us the chance to see the basic furnishings and groddy bathroom (that others have noted in their reviews) up close. Later in our stay, we heard other guests complaining about cleanliness as well. I could not imagine paying over $300 a night (including all fees) in the off-season for this room. The front desk very kindly reassigned our room and actually upgraded us to the 2 king room referenced above. The cleanliness and quality of this unit was top notch-- I felt like I was at a different resort, and we had a great stay. My second caution to readers is that the resort fee is high (~$57/day) and we got nothing out of it, other than: a small shuttle that runs infrequently, a beach that you can't swim in (gross water), and comp drinks by the pool that you can only claim with a voucher from the front desk (not mentioned until checkout). The food and drinks served by the hotel bar/restaurant were great, as was the service, but more expensive than some of the nicer restaurants in town. To end this review on a positive note, Steve the Concierge was the only employee we interacted with that seemed to enjoy his job. He was a pleasure to talk to and he set us up with an in-house golf cart rental which was one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks Steve!

Pier House Resort & Spa, originally a small 50-room motel built in 1967, has evolved into one of Key West's most prestigious resorts. It boasts a prime location near major attractions and offers 119 guest rooms and 23 suites with large tiled bathrooms, rain-style showers, custom furniture, and local art. The resort provides a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury with its private beach, heated outdoor pool, full-service spa, and multiple dining options.
Highly recommend staying here!! Everything was awesome, the views, service, staff friendliness. Great little beach spot and you can't find a better place to catch the sunset, much better that sunset pier or Mallory square. It's in a great part of town and within walking distance to a lot of different attractions and restaurants. Rooms were a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. It was quite our entire stay and always felt safe. A nice bar by the beach and pool to get a drink or bite to eat. Most definitely recommend if looking for a place to stay!!

Best location when in Key West! You can walk everywhere and retreat to a quiet place that feels away from the hustle. The rooms are clean with robes and slippers that make you feel like you’re at a luxury destination. We had an issue with our keys, but the hotel manager solved the issue right away and compensated us for our trouble. The beach is small but nice, with all the amenities of a big resort. I would definitely stay here again.

⭐ 2/5 We chose Pier House for our 15th wedding anniversary, as we normally stay in Key West twice a year at The Marker and wanted to try something different. After this experience, we will be returning directly to The Marker. Check-in was smooth, and the room was adequate, though it could use updates. The front driveway constantly floods, requiring guests to walk through water that smells strongly of sewer. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by a $500 smoking violation charge. No one in our party smokes, and I have a respiratory condition that prohibits exposure to smoke or strong odors. The front desk communicated with me several times via text throughout our stay and never mentioned any issue. I was asked on Friday night to text them my email address the next morning once we had left our room for "express checkout". So once we had left the hotel and was heading to the airport, I texted them and minutes later I received an itemized receipt including this charge, with no explanation. Had I not carefully reviewed it, I would never have known. The hotel cited a FreshAir sensor alert, but it’s puzzling that it was triggered only once. It seems highly unlikely that someone would smoke just once in a room they stayed in for six days. Environmental factors can sometimes trigger these detectors. Attempts to resolve this with the property went nowhere. While the property is in a nice location and the staff were polite, the way this charge was applied and handled raises serious concerns about transparency and fairness. It’s not worth the risk, stay elsewhere.

Pier House Resort & Spa - A Perfect Key West Sanctuary! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful stay! We loved our serene ocean view room 🌊. The full body massage at the spa was divine 💆‍♀️. Dinner at the on-site One Duval restaurant featured amazing seafood 🦞. Exceptional service throughout. This is the perfect peaceful escape from the busy Duval Street. Highly recommend!

My husband and I booked our stay at Pier House as an emergency beach vacation to destress. Pier House was perfect for this. Within the walls of the resort you would never know that the activity in the tourist area is there. It is very quiet and peaceful with lush greenery and water features surrounding the pathways, pool and private beach. We upgraded our room from a standard king to an ocean front dockside room. We have no regrets at all! We were lucky enough to get the corner room so we had views of the ocean and the beach. Despite the close proximity to the beach and restaurant, our room was very quiet. We couldn't hear any noise from neighbors or outdoors. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The beach and pools had plenty of loungers and umbrellas and were also kept clean. There was only one day that the beach seemed overly crowded but I suspect that this was due to guests checking in and out crossing paths because the next day it was back to normal. We were surprised by how good the food was at the resort. We aren't really breakfast people but the cappuccinos were nice. We ate lunch at the beach bar each day and never grew tired of the parmesan fries or the berry, nut and goat cheese salad. We only ate at One Duval one evening but that experience was pleasant and I was happy to find several vegetarian options. The staff is actually what really made our trip amazing, not just great. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and kind. We always had a drink in our hands when we wanted one at the beach or pool (Linda and Nick are the best!) and the women at the front desk were helpful with making restaurant recommendations and providing directions so that we could enjoy quieter walks and avoid the action on Duval. The servers at the beach and pool work sunrise to sunset it seems and they hustle but with a smile on their face! I didn't see or overhear any negative interactions. I had some questions about my invoice at checkout and Chuck, the manager, called me after I returned home to graciously explain the details (the misunderstanding was completely on my end). The people alone are enough to bring us back. We felt welcomed, comfortable, and safe throughout our stay. I am usually a fairly tough critic but I cannot think of anything that I would improve or change about our stay. I look forward to returning when we need another emergency beach vacation!

A Beautiful experience! This place is more than amazing. It’s private, quiet, relaxing & the staff is friendly! The landscaping🌴 is like walking through an enchanted forest! It has mini waterfalls & ponds with turtles🐢 & goldfish🐡! Watch out👀…chickens🐓🐓 are walking around freely. They don’t bother you at all. This property has its very own private beach 🏖️ with hammocks for lounging. It’s a bar🍹 by the pool so convenient! The food is tasty! The spa 🧖🏽‍♀️is TOP tier! I got a facial that knocked a few wrinkles out!! We rented a chart to drive around the island. You really don’t need to leave for anything. I would definitely return!!🎉❤️🌴

My husband and I stayed at the Pier House for our anniversary and it was the best vacation we have had in years! Every step was perfect! From check in, drinks by the pool or the private beach, dinner at One Duval and our spa treatments with Mike and Courtney! I would highly recommend staying here for everything that the hotel provides as well as the location. This will be the only place I will stay when I visit from now on!

We just returned from a 5-day stay celebrating our 20th anniversary, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had. The staff was incredibly attentive throughout our visit, and a special shout-out goes to Tequila when we checked in and Stephen who assisted us with our luggage. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary unforgettable. One of the standout features is the small beach area they’ve created which is perfect for relaxing with a drink in hand while floating in the water. It felt like our own little paradise, and we even had the joy of seeing a manatee swim by almost every day! Snorkeling right from the property was another huge plus, especially since we didn’t have to book an extra charter boat to enjoy it. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars, and we’re so grateful to the team for making our milestone celebration so special.

Oceans Edge Resort & Marina Key West is a secluded retreat nestled in 20 acres of serene Florida landscapes, offering airy accommodations with ocean views. The resort features a full-service marina, six outdoor pools, waterfront dining, and a poolside bar. Guests can enjoy various water activities such as scuba diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, and boat charters.
We travel quite a bit all over the world. We have stayed at so many hotels and this once is ranked amongst the best! We love the Key West area and Oceans Edge has been our choice of places to stay for the last few years. We have always received the highest quality of services over the years. This last visit was above and beyond our expectations. We just can’t say enough about this place! We had the chance to deal with Claudia the office manager to complete our booking. She is so nice and professional but the greatest part is the way she talks about the resort you can just tell how how proud of the hotel and dedicated she is to the guests being happy. Then we arrived after the long drive a little tired. Our greeting and welcome from Ana could not have been better. She was simply wonderful the entire time of our stay. Thanks Ana and Claudia for all your efforts in making your guests feel at home. In our opinion thanks to people like you! there is only one hotel choice in Key West!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Oceans Edge Resort & Marina! From the moment we checked in, the experience was perfect. Lafame at the front desk was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional, she truly set the tone for our stay. Not only did she check us in quickly, but she also surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a stunning front-view room overlooking the marina. It made our trip extra special and gave us the most beautiful sunrise views every morning. The resort itself is gorgeous. Peaceful, impeccably clean, and beautifully maintained. The pools are sparkling, the marina views are breathtaking, and the vibe is pure Key West relaxation. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive, but a special shout-out again to Lafame, who went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely cared for. We’ll definitely be coming back, Oceans Edge has officially become our go-to spot in Key West!

Perfect getaway in Key West. The highlight is the beautiful marina. We loved walking there in the morning and at sunset. It’s dog friendly. There’s even a dog park where dogs can be off leash. Breakfast could be better. A bit away from downtown (~15 mins). But overall amazing with very clean and nicely decorated rooms, and very friendly staff. Will definitely be our go-to hotel when we come back.

We absolutely loved this resort! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The property is beautiful, super well maintained and very clean. Beds were comfortable and the restaurant on site is excellent. There are many activities to do; biking, kayak and even special events. It is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Key West but the shuttle service is frequent, on-time and has wonderful drivers, like Jeff. He made us feel super welcomed and I appreciated his positivity! Thank you Oceans Edge, we will be back 🙂

Beautiful resort, stunning views, free shuttle to the city, quiet area, very relaxing. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. Only area for improvement is housekeeping - the room was not spotless and the bed was made each day in a little bit of a messy way. Other than that would 100% recommend.

This resort was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We had an adjoining 2-bedroom suite with each room having its own balcony overlooking the marina. The decor is just so beautiful. Every staff member we encountered were hospitable and attentive. We had a slight issue that was addressed promptly so I can't hold it against them. The resort offers several complimentary activities like paddle boarding, canoeing, bike riding, and yoga. They even provide you with a weekly schedule. They even have 6 pools. The best perk for me was the complimentary shuttle that runs every hour on the hour until 11pm dropping you off in the heart of downtown Key West. The last pick up is at 11:20pm. Oh, and they have a noise restriction after 11pm so the property was very quiet and super relaxing at night on the balcony gazing at the ocean. My family and I greatly enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning in the very near future.

Our kids visited this resort in 2023 and brought us back with them in 2025. We enjoyed the resort and restaurant. Jen is really cool and our kids told us we had to meet her. Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo, Curio Collection by Hilton offers a refined stay with bay views, two restaurants, two outdoor pools, and a spa. The resort is situated on a 15-acre nature sanctuary in Key Largo, surrounded by lush hardwood hammock forests and natural sandy beaches. It exudes the serene beauty of the Florida Keys and features unique event spaces inspired by a mid-1800s pineapple plantation.
I read many reviews before coming here for our honeymoon for a week, and I just want to say that in person the resort has been above my expectations. Luckily, we were upgraded to the ocean view coconut wing room because our original reservation was in the construction zone and it had a view of the parking lot. The ocean view is legit, such a lovely experience. We open the patio door and the ocean is right there. The hammock wing ocean view suites have an obstructed view due to the mangroves, but the beach in that part of the resort is nicer. The beach here is, generally speaking, much nicer than other parts of the keys. We went to Key West, and couldn’t wait to get back to our beach back in Key Largo when we saw the seaweed and tourists. One complaint I have is that there is no ventilation fan in the bathroom and no air freshener. I instantly wish I would have brought a febreeze air freshener with me from home, as well as an electric kettle. Also, the $10-$15 daily parking fee is a scam considering there is already a $50/day resort fee—parking should be included. How do they expect we get to the resort? The food is expensive and includes 20% gratuity, but the service staff are very polite and kind. I haven’t met a single one who didn’t deserve at least that for their excellent service. There are plenty of cafes only 5 minutes away, so there are other options for less expensive meals.

Not what it used to be. Far from a 4 star resort. Id only recommend this place for a Hotel Day Pass to hangout by the water. Hotel is under some type of renovation. That wasn't known until hotel check-in when they handed us a poorly copied piece of paper listing all the inconveniences it may cause. Room wasn't ready at 4pm check-in. Even though we were handed the room keys and told it was. Cleaning lady was still in there and requested an additional 20 mins. Sheets had rips in them, chairs were stained. Overall impression didn't impress us at all. 1 of only 2 restaurants are open. They ran out of the Prime Rib special that they advertise and pushed during dinner. Waiter was nice enough to comp the meal due to the excessive wait time and debacle it caused. But getting that charge removed from the bill at hotel checkout was a mission that made me feel like I was the one inconveniencing them to do. Be prepared for a boatload of added daily taxes on top of the ludicrous amount they're charging for rooms ($511 a night). Not including the following... Multiple State Sales Tax misc charges per day ($5.63, $0.75, $3.68) on top of the State tax of $38.34. Room occupancy tax of $3.75 on top of the resort fee occupancy tax of $2.45, on top of the $49.00 resort fee. Parking is apparently $10.00 and if there's a wedding your going to have to wait for a while for a space to open up. Sunsets at this location are 10/10. Dog fee of $75 is reasonable. Everything else is a bit of a disappointment for a Resort it claims to be. Id recommend Playa Largo. The $1,728.00 for 2 nights is not worth it.

Overall had a fantastic stay. The grounds are beautiful and make you feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. Beaches and pool area were gorgeous. Fantastic place for families for sure, with crafts and fun games all day. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Food service was a little slow but nothing that would make us not go again. It was always very yummy. Would love to stay here again.

Mathew Made Our Return Truly Special!** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’ve stayed at Baker’s Cay before, and while the resort itself is beautiful, it’s people like **Mathew** who make it truly exceptional. The first time we met him, he greeted us at the gate with a warm smile and welcoming attitude. On our next visit, we were surprised and touched to see him again — this time at the front desk — and he **remembered us by name**! That moment instantly made us feel like more than just guests; we felt like part of the Baker’s Cay family. Mathew’s professionalism, genuine kindness, and attention to detail went above and beyond our expectations. He’s the kind of person who makes a great resort feel like home. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the entire team at the stunning Bakers Cay Resort for the outstanding levels of customer service my wife and I recently experienced during our stay. There were a few outstanding team members which I would like to recognise for their overall service levels and professionalism. Firstly, Sandra at breakfast time was always so welcoming and very friendly as was Daniel who was our server at the opening of the Calusa restaurant. Finally, I would like to acknowledge Chef Jason for his exceptional food quality and presentation and to Janell for her outstanding professionalism and guest service. It was a delight!! Well done to everyone..

Bakers Cay Resort Key Largo This was our first time staying at Baker’s Cay, and I was genuinely excited since it’s known as one of the “elite” resorts in the Keys. We booked a King Junior Suite in the Coconut Wing, expecting a relaxing, high-end experience — but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite the opposite. We were placed in the only room open in the corner while every other nearby room was blocked off for construction. Lucky us, right? From the start, the room felt off — boot marks on the floor, a general dirty feeling, and (can’t even make this up) Q-tips found underneath the end of my sheet. We’re very familiar with the area, live nearby, and often stay in local resorts, so this was a work trip for us. We didn’t even check in until around 8 p.m., but by 8:15 I was already calling down to the front desk asking how long construction would be going on. The response? They claimed to have no idea construction was happening at that time — though a few minutes later, several workers in hard hats started leaving for the night. As I sit here writing this at 8:00 a.m. the next morning, I’m listening to saws, drills, and heavy machinery echoing outside. It’s frustrating and disappointing, to say the least. I called down to share the wonderful sound of cranes and saws I was hearing bright and early. The front desk’s response? “I can’t do anything about the construction, but feel free to speak to the manager.” Not exactly the service you expect from a resort that prides itself on being luxury. If you have paying guests staying — whether it’s for a night or a week — those rooms should not be available during active construction. You should know better. We had high hopes for Baker’s Cay, but this experience has been a real letdown.

Update after the hotel reply: I have to be honest, the automated response kind of confirms my concern. Opening with “peaceful atmosphere at Baker’s Cay Resort” after I specifically mentioned how noisy it was makes it clear the message wasn’t really read. I would have appreciated no reply more than a template that misses the point. If someone could actually review my experience and respond personally, that would be much more meaningful. This hotel is a perfect example of huge potential not matching the experience. The location is stunning, surrounded by mature tropical nature. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Two beaches — one open and one under the trees — create a peaceful vibe that even feels a bit like Bali. The environment and concept are truly special. Unfortunately, the execution and care fall short. Our room wasn’t properly cleaned on arrival: sticky residue on furniture and mold in the AC vent. We waited almost two hours for a clean room. They offered a $100 credit, but honestly, we just expected cleanliness from the start. This same pattern showed up everywhere: beautiful elements, but not maintained. Dust on entrance lights, valet staff smoking right at the front, elevators dirty and rusting, beach loungers left covered in leaves all day. Great design, but weak upkeep. Food and beverage was disappointing as well. Prices are high ($30+ for chicken quesadillas, $32 for a Caesar with chicken), which would be fine if the food was good — but it wasn’t. Almost no seasoning. The breakfast deal gives $27 credit per person, yet a $17 waffle won’t even fill you. My bagel with salmon and cream cheese came without capers because they were out — on a Saturday morning. Unseasoned salads, a latte that didn’t taste right. We prepaid three breakfasts and stopped going after two. Ironically, the small lobby coffee bar makes excellent coffee; we ended up ordering food and coffee from Uber Eats, which says a lot. We also tried the “fine dining” restaurant. It reopened a day later than announced — understandable — but the service lacked care. Two of us ordered two dishes: one came wrong, plates arrived ten minutes apart, and they put the check on the table before we finished. No dessert offered; I had to ask for a menu. The “signature” cheesecake tasted like old fridge. We mentioned it, they took it back, and just returned with the bill. No recovery, no hospitality, no effort. To make things worse, there was loud maintenance work early in the mornings. I understand improvements are necessary, but rolling carts and drilling around 8:30am on a weekend wake-up call is not acceptable for a resort like this. Guests should not feel like they’re staying in an active work zone. At checkout, I shared our disappointment. The person at the front desk — the only one who consistently had a warm smile during our four-day stay — listened and was kind. His attitude stood out in a place that otherwise felt disconnected from hospitality. Unfortunately, one friendly team member can’t fix a consistently under-cared-for experience. In summary: breathtaking setting and great design, but lacking maintenance, service training, food quality, and basic attention to guests. This could easily be one of the best hotels in the Keys. The potential is right there. What’s missing is pride, care, and heart in the daily operation. If the team invests love and consistency into this place, it could become something truly special. Right now, it feels like a beautiful property that isn’t being looked after the way it deserves.

We spent an unforgettable 3-night stay at Baker’s Cay Resort in Key Largo, celebrating our 50th birthdays with my 5 best childhood friends—and it was absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. Marvin, the tiki drink server, kept the cocktails flowing with a smile, and Ainsworth truly was “the host with the most,” ensuring everything we needed was taken care of. One of our favorite memories was renting a large float and spending hours drifting together on the beautiful Florida Bay—sipping delicious cocktails, watching sea life swim by, and laughing until our sides hurt. The resort’s activities made each day special, from bingo and karaoke to the silent disco that had us dancing like teenagers again. Each evening, we ended the day with a magical champagne toast at sunset, a tradition that made us feel so connected to the place and to each other. We also left our mark by hanging a heart-shaped lock with our initials on the love arch, a memory we’ll cherish forever. The weather was flawless, the atmosphere was warm and vibrant, and the combination of natural beauty, fun activities, and incredible staff made this trip one we’ll never forget. Baker’s Cay exceeded every expectation, and we’re already dreaming about when we can return!

SMOKING! I would’ve loved to give this place a better review, but we stayed by people that constantly smoked cigarettes and it ruined our stay. It is a smoking resort in designated areas, definitely not in the area we were in though! We were told to “take pictures and videos” of the people doing it. WHAT? So we did. Nothing happened. Then we were told it was a private condo… which you still can’t smoke at. We stayed 5 days and every day we told management. Could’ve been quickly taken care of, but never was. We had young children with us that hated the smell, kept coughing, and we couldn’t even go outside on our balcony to enjoy our (very expensive) view! You can also smell the smoke around the pool areas as well because there are smoking areas close by. If you don’t want to be around smoking- DO NOT go here!

Eh. The resort itself is decent, good for kids, but the service was pretty horrible, which for the price of everything you’d expect better. We requested a crib to the room - never came. Requested towels - never came. We asked for house keeping to come, was told you have to request 24 hours in advance? Have never heard of that at all resort…. No in room food service. The tiki grill closes at 5, so your only two options for dinner are two VERY expensive restaurants, and the food is not good. Getting service at the cafe takes forever. When you order food at any of the restaurants, it takes FOREVER. The room (a basic king) was fine, the pool area and lagoon was nice, it’s so cool to be able to visit the pod of dolphins that live on property. The kids splash pad area is extremely outdated, the swings were broken, many of the jets on the splash pad were broken. You’re about 20 minutes away from any grocery stores or other restaurants, and the two restaurants on property open for dinner are incredibly expensive for not so good food or service, so the location was a negative for me. I much prefer Islamorada or even key largo. There is also a 200$ a night security deposit? I’ve never experienced that when staying at a resort. My family and I won’t be coming again.

This was our first time visiting for a conference and we were very disappointed. For the price, we expected better. The grounds themselves were gorgeous with wonderful views, but the remainder of the stay was a disappointment. - Room needed desperate TLC. The AC was either on or off, so one of us had to get up during the night to turn on or off the AC. There was no “auto” setting. - Housekeeping staff was very noisy during our stay and frequently left out a dirty towel hamper directly outside of our room each night. - There was a dead pigeon on the grass just outside the main entrance all week, we saw multiple maintenance staff walk right past it, so no attention to detail. - Parking was horrendous. Each night we had to make up a spot because the regular spots were full. Meanwhile the huge valet lot right up front was mainly empty and unused during the stay. We were so excited about this resort but left disappointed. Seems like attention to detail would go far here and make huge strides in a better direction.

The grounds itself is fantastic. The pool is awesome, the lagoon is awesome. The staff was inconsistent. Most of the interactions I had were very plesent but there were a couple unpleasant ones. The food isn't great. We ate at both restaurants and was not impressed with either. The place is a lot of fun though. It was pretty empty when we went but I'm sure it gets lovely when it fills up

First, do not get the Family “oasis” room, your view is literally garbage dumpsters and storage rooms. Second it’s hit or miss with decent AC, seems like it’s a common theme here to have good or bad AC with guests. Water in main building was warm not hot for first day. We switched room and paid for an upgraded villa. It was convenient because it was near the second pool. Unfortunately getting pool towels is impossible over there, and getting ahold of anyone from staff to get towels from is even more impossible. Floors in villa were filthy, made our feet as black as the mold in the showers. Prices are a rip off, I get it’s a resort, but after staying in several better resorts, these are the worst. Don’t eat at the on site restaurants unless you want to get ripped off. There are a lot of nearby restaurants that are cheaper. I recommend Ziggy & Mad Dogs if you want a good steak. On the positive side the main pool area was good, had a DJ everyday, pool was warm, servers were friendly and attentive. But we will definitely not return here, it’s worth checking out others resorts in the keys.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Hawks Cay Resort. Right from check-in, it became clear that good customer service is no longer a priority here. The manager, Ninaska, was shockingly rude to two customers ahead of us in line, which immediately set the wrong tone. My past experiences at this resort were far better, but unfortunately, it’s gone downhill and lost the value it once had. Our room conditions were unacceptable. We found roaches, and when I asked specifically for the room to be cleaned, no one ever came. It actually took two full days—and repeated requests—before housekeeping finally showed up, six hours after the third request. For a resort of this price, that is beyond unacceptable. The food was another major disappointment. They overcharge for meals only to serve food that was overcooked and stale. Spending over $1,000 here felt like a complete waste given the poor conditions. The beach chairs were broken, and even the room furniture was dirty and damaged. Overall, Hawks Cay has truly lost its quality and charm. What once felt like a relaxing, upscale escape has become a frustrating, overpriced disappointment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

came to Hawk’s Cay for a couple days for a birthday getaway and we were treated great the entire time! The front desk staff was very helpful and kind, and the wait staff and bartenders as well. Jacob at the poolside tiki bar helped us celebrate. The dolphin connection experience was also so informative and fun. Can’t wait to come back :)

Nestled in Islamorada, Florida's sportfishing capital, Cheeca Lodge & Spa is a secluded resort offering tropical rooms, a 9-hole golf course, and a full-service spa. With a rich history dating back to 1946, the lodge has been frequented by political figures, Hollywood celebrities, and fishing royalty.
stayed here with a group of friends for a celebration of love weekend for one of the couples that had just recently married. was impressed with the stay from start to finish. starting with our check in. jessica wood and anna butler were so incredibly helpful, personable, accommodating and just absolute gems all around. anything we needed, they made it happen. special thanks to Roger for helping us with our things as soon as we got to the resort. he also provided us with good recommendations and service with a smile! lots and lots of amenities to enjoy. multiple pools - the adult pool was our favorite. a spa, fitness center, hot tub, boardwalk with a small pier which is perfect for fishing or catching the sunrise & sunset, dining on site with several options, snorkeling, fishing charters and honestly so much more. we got lots of recommendations for things to do offsite and places to see from the staff as well great service and conversation from a few of our favorite bartenders, Stephanie, Butch and Taylor! Only stayed for five days, but I truly feel like I could spend a lifetime there. This was my first time venturing to cheeca and the keys period and I will say that a lasting impression was made. if you’re thinking of taking a trip to the keys, run don’t walk and experience the magic that awaits at cheeca lodge & resort for yourself!

Me and four family members stayed at Cheeca Lodge and Spa to attend my niece’s wedding. The property and grounds are beautiful, and there’s a lot of fun activities to enjoy. We really enjoyed the pool, spa, and private beach. As far as our rooms, the beds were very comfortable and the living room was comfortable. The big bathroom was nice as well. There are some things that need to be improved. The microwave was old, peeling and nasty on the inside, and needs replaced. In the small bathroom, the sink stopper was broken, one of the two lights didn’t work, and the light on the makeup mirror also didn’t work. We contacted the front desk about getting the sink stopper fixed. They said they would send someone but nobody ever came to fix it. The front desk did however send up extra coffee pods when we requested it. Overall I expect a little better accommodations for what we paid, but it’s a beautiful place and we had a nice stay.

The view here hits like a deep breath after a long season peaceful, private, and made for reflection. The property gives you that “Keys luxury” laid back but elegant. Perfect place to slow your thoughts, watch the water, and remember how far you’ve come. The atmosphere carried peace, but the service could’ve matched the serenity better. A few moments felt off rhythm, but when you let the ocean do the talking, everything balances itself out. Louie K’s Up stamp: You don’t always need noise to feel alive sometimes silence is the loudest blessing. 🌴🔥💭

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the recommendation of a friend. The location was beautiful. Our room overlooked the ocean. The room was very spacious and included a bed, couch, table and two chairs and a little kitchenette area. The bathroom was very large, with a shower that had a door out to the balcony. There was also a round tub on the balcony, which I was very excited about. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a complimentary glass of champagne. They offer water activities like kayaking and paddle boarding, although we didn't partake. There is also a dock out to the water that you can fish off of. At night they had a guy playing guitar on the beach. If we go back to the Keys, I will definitely want to stay here again.

What a weekend at Cheeca Lodge! The vibe is pure laid-back paradise — sunshine, good friends, and zero stress. Our room was huge with gorgeous golf course views, the poolside drinks were flowing all day, and the boat trip to the sandbar was an absolute blast. Dinner at the restaurant hit the spot after a day of sun and cocktails. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to relax, laugh, and maybe have one too many drinks in the best way possible — this is it!

Love this place. Came for my honeymoon, we got a free room upgrade, with chocolates and a sweet note welcoming us in. The room was spectacular, I highly recommend getting the room with the bathtub on the balcony, looking out onto the ocean. Service was excellent, champagne when you check in, everything we requested or needed handled promptly. Food was so good, which we stay in the keys a lot and the food at the resorts is usually overpriced and subpar, but everything we ate here was truly amazing. I was a little disappointed you couldn’t swim in the ocean, you have to pay for a sandbar tour or something similar to do that, but the sandbar tour was really fun and well worth the price. Location is perfect, a grocery store super close, other restaurants super close, Robbie’s super close which is so fun. This place is amazing!

Beautiful property with much to offer. The spa on site is a plus. Great on site restaurant but not good for groups. Took almost 3 hours for a group of 12 people for dinner. Rooms are beautiful but some are dated. They offer free 9 hole par 3 golf course on site as well as bicycles to go around and explore. If needed they offer shuttle service to surrounding areas. We had a malfunction with the AC unit and had a warm room all night that turned into leaking and wetting some of our personal items and all the bathroom as was leaking from the ceiling. Hotel manager changed us from room after engineering was working to fix the issue. Used the hotel charter service to go to the sand bar. Highly recommend it. Nice pools 2 of them. Highly recommend nearby restaurants: Izzis Mad Dogs Steakhouse And Pierre's

My husband and I rented for a weekend escape. We were greeted by Cassandra, the manager. She provided us with exceptional service. Maureen helped us with reservations for one of their restaurants, Atlantic’s Edge. The room had an ocean view and private beach access. The shower had a rain shower head and handheld option as well with all glass doors with a beautiful view. You are greeted in the lobby with the option of champagne. Every detail on this property was carefully thought out. The beds were soft and perfect for a great night sleep. We ordered the catch of the day which was main lobster. This dish was absolutely heavenly. There was a crabcake type of topping baked on the lobster. The rolls, whipped mashed potatoes and brownie for dessert were all impressive. The resort gives you that feeling that you can relax and unwind with a breathtaking backdrop. We will definitely be returning soon.

Nestled in the northern part of Key Largo, Reefhouse Resort & Marina is a spacious vacation property offering a range of accommodations. The resort boasts well-appointed one-bedroom suites with various amenities and an upgraded penthouse version with balconies. Situated on Key Largo Bay, it provides a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of activities, dining options, and waterfront views. Additionally, the resort features a divers center, spa facilities, and a small private beach area.
My husband and I stayed here on a trip through the Keys and it was wonderful. The staff were so sweet and thoughtful. They upgraded us and sent a sweet treat to recognize the occasion. Being there on the off season meant it was quiet-the perfect atmosphere for our trip. The location and view are amazing. Great hotel!

Excellent experience. Amazing views. Front desk staff was professional and helpful; bellman was fast and efficient with our luggage. Daily water and cookies in lobby was a nice treat. Room was clean and housekeeping was quick in cleaning room daily, including turn down service. Bartenders were amazing. Drinks were amazing. pool & pool deck were clean and neat . Sunsets were fabulous!

What a great choice to stay in Key Largo. Minutes away from many restaurants and shopping. On site there are excursions for snorkeling, scuba, and all water sports. We were very pleased with the restaurant and their staff. Everyone on the staff is very pleasant. They greet you with a smile , very friendly and very helpful. The grounds crew is constantly cleaning watering immaculate grounds. The pool area was enough to cool off. Plenty of lounges. There is bar at the pool. Everywhere you look on the property. There is an activity to keep you busy. You can enjoy dinner or a beverage kickback and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Would definitely stay at the Reef House again when we return to Key Largo next year.

We (family of 4 with kids aged 9 and 11) had a great stay at this hotel. Positives: - Didn't charge for parking unlike many of the other resorts - Beautiful beachfront location. Our kids rated this the best swimming pool area out of the 4 different hotels we stayed in on our Keys roadtrip. -Breakfast was decent - Staff were super-friendly. -Plentiful cookies and filtered, chilled water available around the resort -Lots of stuff to do due to the onsite watersports company (Pirates Cove), the MOTE lab to check out and learn about coral, the pools, beach and games, and areas to explore for kids around the resort. Negatives: -Slightly dated - has a 1980's feel to it. No issues for us. -Gus' Grille restaurant is very overpriced and not good value-for-money. We ate dinner there twice but would recommend eating out if you can as you get better ambience and food elsewhere for the same or cheaper prices. That said, the restaurant view is great. - The usual ridiculous separate resort fee (eye-roll) which seems common in Miami and the Florida Keys means you need a PhD to interpret your receipt on check-out (sales tax, occupancy tax, resort fee, sales tax on the resort fee, occupancy tax on the resort fee, items charged to your room etc). Make sure to bring your family accountant along. But this is not a fault of this specific hotel - it's common to all the hotels in Miami and the Keys.

Friendly staff and amazing views from my room. I love the arm bands that double as room keys. I never had to dig into my pockets or beach bag to find my key. From check in to check out I was impressed with the service from all members of the staff. The food was spectacular at all the restaurants. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and the muffins were the best I have ever tasted. I bought the mix to bring home and try and re create. Thanks to the staff for an unforgettable stay. I can't wait to return.

The whole experience was smooth. Hotel's follow-ups made sure that everything was ready for our arrival. The lobby, the room, amenities, and the pool - everything was extremely clean and well maintained. Even the scent of the whole hotel was so refreshing anywhere you go. Everyone single person that I spoke with, was polite and eager to go an extra mile to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The resort offers any water activities you can think of. Two restaurants offers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner with great view on the harbor. For energetic guests there are Basketball, volleyball fields, 24/7 gym. 1 & half hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale Airport, 40 minutes to Everglades National Park. 100s of go-out places in the vicinity. P.s. homemade lemonade and homemade cookies at the lobby don't last long, soooo good

Stayed for 3N for my birthday. Location is good but the place is old and NOT maintained well. Our A/C leaks and the shower door doesn't seal. So the floor is completely wet after each shower. The room is small. The lobby restroom is disgusting. The worst actually is the service. Once you hang that 'Do not disturb' sign, you won't get service the entire day. When I talked to the manager, her name is Tainne, she told me that I hang the sign just in time for the cleaning crew to read it. And once it's read, there is no way for the guest to update it (unless we make a call and make a special request). In my opinion, this is not a good service for 4stars hotel. I stayed at many hotels that the cleaning crew are so aware of the guests whereabout that they even clean the room only when the guests are not in the room. That's what I call hospitally with high standard (which I'm aware not all hotels are like that). The manager also was very rude, not friendly whatsoever. She's telling me how the cleaning crew works as if I'm her staff and stayed there for free. Never again I would stay at this hotel!
Weni W — Google review
The pool and beach and nice, but the room left a lot to be desired. One deck chair was missing and had to be requested. The other deck chair was broken but never replaced. The kitchen was nearly bare and thus basically unusable. We had to request spoons, only had one. The clothesline in the bathroom was rusted out and broken. The beds were very soft- not sure if by design or if they were worn out. The toilet clogged everyday from normal use. Overall the room had a cheap feel, especially for the price. But it was clean. The restaurant was average at best. Go elsewhere in the area, all much better.

One of our favorite moments was watching the breathtaking sunsets right from the property—absolutely unforgettable! We can’t recommend Sunset Cottage highly enough. It's hard to put into words the feeling of excitement you have arriving and the feeling of sorrow when you have to say goodbye. We stayed in Monet cottage and it was perfect. It was a beautiful location. It gave off vibes of being in Hawaii completely different than the vibe in Key West. Key West is very tourist oriented and there was a cruise ship in port every day. Masses of people and hard to escape them. We were so happy we chose to stay at Sunset Key and not on Key West. We enjoyed day trips over to take tours, but enjoyed even more returning to our Sunset Key cottage and amenities. We had every need met and those we didn't know we had. The morning basket of goodies was perfect to start the day. The afternoon ice cream available by ice cream cart and finally the evening turn down service with water and sweet treat was added services that we never expected. Latitude's offered many options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything was fabulous. If you are looking for a special place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, engagement, honeymoon, etc. This is the place. Heck, even if you have nothing to celebrate you deserve the pampering.

Another fabulous day at Sunset Key Cottages! Beautiful property located on a secluded island offering a large, peaceful beach area. Caesar is the best when it comes to drinks by the beach, towel service and even bringing over a raft to float on. I can’t say enough about the food, which is consistently delicious. Our server Eva was fantastic. The pool is stunning and Thomas the pool bartender is the best. He is so kind and his drinks are the best- try the Key Lime Colada with a graham cracker rim! We love our time at Sunset Key and thank you to Chris who runs everything so well- you won’t find a better property or better service anywhere else. Well done, Chris!

We also had an unforgettable dinner at Latitudes, where Eduardo, our server, provided one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. He was not only professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly thoughtful and personable. His service made our evening feel incredibly special, and the attention to detail was simply top-tier. The combination of breathtaking views, luxurious accommodations, and the incredible staff made this trip one to remember. Amazing experience!!! This property is where we will be same time next year with more family. The times if the ferries back to the mainland are a minor inconvenience compared to the tranquility of the island. Matty at the bar was a very professional and gracious host. Paige at check in was amazing and the staff regarding check on and check out were very nice. I look forward to next year.

This is not a family resort in our opinion. For the price you can take your family somewhere else. They have a small pool. The little private beach they have has rocks and seaweed. Careful when closing the doors in the cottages. The door jams are positioned weird. You can easily jam your hand/fingers when closing the doors. The private beach doesn't look like the pictures on their website. Overall they only have the small pool and the small private beach.

I checked in late after a long flight and everything nearby was already closed. When I asked the front desk if there was anywhere to grab a quick bite, instead of just saying no, this gentleman went above and beyond, he said, “Give me a few minutes, I’ll make you a turkey sandwich.” That kind of kindness and initiative is rare these days. It truly made my night and left a great impression of the hotel. Big thanks to him for showing what genuine hospitality looks like! 👏

Southernmost Beach Resort is a colonial-style retreat located in Key West, just a short distance from the southernmost point of the continental US. The resort spans over 6.5 acres and features eight pastel-blue low-rise buildings with a total of 244 refined rooms, as well as four guest houses named Avalon, La Mer, Duval Gardens, and Dewey Houses offering 52 rooms. The property underwent renovations in recent years to update the Victorian-style interiors and add modern design touches.
We just returned from a fantastic stay at the Southernmost Beach Resort! The location couldn’t have been better—close to everything we wanted to see and do in Key West, but still peaceful and relaxing. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and had all the touches that made our stay special. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the whole property felt like a true getaway. A special shout-out to Casey, the activities coordinator—she was fun, knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations for hot spots and restaurants. We can’t wait to come back!

Our room was terrible, sadly. It had a terrible musty smell that we reported twice. They never offered to move us, just sent maintenance to spray a deodorizer that didn't help at all. The AC unit in our room was malfunctioing and made a terrible "clicking" noise multiple times in a row, every 20 to 25 minutes that woke us up multiple times a night. The fabric covered headboard had gross stains all over it and we found ants and other crawling bugs in our room every day. Our room was also directly across from the ice machine that ran a drain cycle every so often and was so loud, it sounded like someone was showering in our bathroom- also waking us up multiple times. The hotel is located at the very end of Duval Street, but not the lively part, so if you are seeking a quieter location, this would be it. The more active bars are at least a 15 to 20 minute walk down Duval. They have two pools with bars where we had great service and drinks. Don't count on entertainment- the regge band packed up 30 minutes after starting because of rain, despite the rain stopping 15 minutes later, and they were scheduled to play for a few hours. We learned that the newer rooms were on the beach side and our friends didn't have the issues with their room we had. So, if you ensure you are in the newer buildings you may have a better experience. For the price, there are better options on the island from our discovery. We wouldn't recommend this resort unless you could guarantee being in a new room that seemed to be better maintained/cleaner.

We (Mum, Dad, 2 kids aged 9 and 11) spent a night staying at this hotel in October 2025. Good things about this hotel: -Good facilities - games, pools, etc although unfortunately kids are not permitted in the coffee bar. - Location of buildings on the southern side of the hotel is wonderful - right next to the beach and the iconic southernmost marker in Key West. This means you can have breakfast on the beach or sundowners at the pool (which is adjacent to the beach) and easily move between the two. - Plenty availability of towels - Lots of parking - Friendly and good service -Quiet by Key West standards, despite the central location Bad things about this hotel: - The hotel complex is very large and spans across many separate buildings. There is even a public road (with traffic) bisecting the hotel complex which is not ideal if with kids. - Hotel is EXTREMELY over-priced. We are from the UK (where hotels aren't cheap) and road-tripped around Florida Keys getting a good idea of the costs of hotels. Our 1-night stay cost $690 (beware all the hidden charges at US hotels - sales tax, occupancy tax, parking charges + taxes, ridiculous resort fees + taxes etc). The room was basic (two queen beds, no sea view) with a parking lot in front of it (more like a motel than a luxury hotel). -The breakfast food is quite good but they can only serve American filter coffee so capuccinos / espressos / lattes etc are not available for breakfast which was really quite poor. In summary, if budget was unlimited, I would stay here again, but based on poor value-for-money, if I return to Key West, I will probably stay somewhere else.

This was our second time staying here and it has been great both times. We stayed in the ocean front rooms so our balcony view was unbeatable. Easy access to multiple pools, beach (underwhelming, but still a beach), and Duvall street. Its on the quiet side of Duvall street, so it's a little more peaceful with only a short walk to the mayhem. We stayed in October so the temperature was warm (~90°), but not horrible.

Let me start by saying I almost cancelled my reservation due to the reviews I was reading BUT I'm so happy I didn't. This resort is beautiful, our room was spacious and had a great view of the ocean. While yes, it was disappointing the beach was unusable, I realize the seaweed is a seasonal thing that is out of their control. The pools are nice at while at times busy, we always found chairs and never felt crowded. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. We ate at the cafe twice, dinner & breakfast and the food was very good. If you want to see the Southernmost Buoy, I suggest going in the morning, we were there at 8 and we were the only ones there. Also, the roosters are fun to watch and I was never bothered by their singing :)

Please don’t waste your money on this glorified motel. It is not a 4 star hotel as stated and is completely overpriced. My husband and I are frequent travelers and have traveled to places all over the world and have never had such a disappointing experience. We stayed at this dump last year and fell for the immediate upselling, money grabbing scheme that you are hit with while checking in. After paying an extra $100 per night, we are supposed to feel honored and privileged to stay in the room that we initially booked. After speaking with other guest, if you don’t fall for this scam, you will be tucked away in a mold, roach and ant infested, undesirable cell like room only to be told there are no other options. We certainly did not want to be punished in that manor, so we bit the bullet and payed the extra money. We ended up having a great stay last year. Upon check out, we were hit with yet another money grab tactic. We were asked if we wanted to make a $500 deposit, to guarantee the same rate next year. After hearing more horror stories from other guest, I asked the salesman, if we made the deposit could we be guaranteed to also stay in the same room? With no hesitation at all, she answered yes and stated she would temporarily block the room off for the same dates as our previous stay and asked us to call a month before to confirm the reservation, in which we did and also confirmed that the room we requested was available and would be blocked off for our stay. When we arrived we were greeted by the most unprofessional, rude and argumentative lady I have ever met in my entire life, Ann Marie. I have no idea why anyone would think someone with such a horrible disposition, would be considered to be the face of their establishment. I took the time to read other reviews and her name was mentioned several times as being problematic. First impressions are everything! We have never been yelled at and berated this way by another human being in our lives. Every time I would try to explain to her and show proof of our previous discussions, she would talk over me and totally dismiss our request. After an exhausting, embarrassing and unproductive battle, I guess Ann Marie won. We were stuck in one of the janky mold, roach and ant infested rooms with no balcony and a phantom fan that comes on with the light randomly in the middle of the night. After speaking with another worker at the hotel, the room we requested is one they use for upselling. If asked we would have paid extra as well, to avoid the tiny, disgusting room we were forced to take. Like many other people mentioned in their reviews, we and our group of 4 other couples that come here every year, will be planning our next stay at the Hilton as well.

Stayed for 4 days to visit Keys for the first time. The staff was very accomodating helping me with needs during my stay and concierge desk was very nice suggesting and setting up a scooter rental for day and restaurant suggestions. Room was nice and enjoyed my stay. Will definitely be back.

Ocean Key Resort & Spa is a contemporary waterfront hotel located near the harbor, Duval Street, and Mallory Square in Key West. The boutique hotel offers 100 rooms with private balconies overlooking historic Duval Street or the ocean. Guests can enjoy sunset views from the Sunset Pier restaurant and indulge in upscale island design with bright florals and crystal chandeliers throughout the resort.
I have had a great experience so far at Ocean Key Resort. No matter the situation, Craig has got your back. Mitchell provided the best concierge service I have experienced. These people go above and beyond for their guests. Mitchell helped us choose the best experience and assisted us in our travels making sure we have everything we need. This service is personalized if I’ve ever seen it. Wow moments all the way. Thank you Ocean Key Resort & Spa!

If I could leave a 10 star review for service I would! We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and booked an ocean view, her request. We had an issue with the room and the manager offered exemplary service that you often don't see anymore. The hotel is beautiful, you can't beat the location, the view, and the pool. We've been to Key West dozens of times and this by far was the best! 10 out of 10 highly recommend! We will definitely come back and thank you Craig for making her birthday so very special. She was so very happy, which in turn made us very happy. Much love!

We had a great experience at Ocean Key Resort! Extremely nice rooms, ours had a good view of Mallory square and the ocean. Excellent location to explore KW without needing to drive. Even as a local I enjoyed staying here and plan to again in the future for events happening in KW so we don’t have to drive back up the keys. Staff was all very friendly and everything seemed clean and well kept.

My fiancée and I were recently there (booked under her name). The service at Ocean Key Resort & Spa was great; very responsive room service, good food and drinks, friendly staff, and a helpful team overall. Unfortunately, our stay (which happened to be during Fantasy Fest) was ruined by what was allowed to occur at the pool. When we went to the pool two days in a row, several groups of 50-60+ year old swinger-types were hanging out topless, swimming and sun tanning. It was tacky, and honestly just plain gross. No one (except "those people") want to see those nasty, old, sunbaked fake boobs. Management didn’t seem to care at all because they did nothing to stop it, despite a handful of kids being near the pool. When we left the pool early, the bartender even said, “Oh, you guys are leaving? That’s too bad. You two are the most normal people here!” That said everything. Great staff, but the lack of management's intervention made this stay a huge disappointment. Ocean Key is a relatively expensive place and I was hoping for higher standards. However, the gross stuff that was allowed to occur there significantly cheapened the overall experience. I wouldn't stay here again until management gets this under control.

I can only give the hotel three stars. It has nothing to do with the people that work there. Overall, they are lovely. It has everything to do with the owners (the resort company) trying to gouge you at every turn. They stock the room full of things that you can have, but only for a price. I'm not just talking about the minibar. I'm even talking about a cute stuffed animal on the bed for $30 (parents, be warned). First off, the resort itself has had a paint job but needs a true update. It is not as pretty as the pics make it. It's quaint and cute but not spectacular. The Opal next door is far more stunning and cheaper. What Ocean Key does have is an amazing restaurant (which anyone can go to with a reservation) and a lovely spa (which anyone can go to). But we didn't receive any special discounts or treatment for being a guest. My wife's birthday was listed. But all we got was a happy birthday when we checked out. Turndown service was listed as part of the resort fee. But after two days with no service, we were told we had to ask (never mentioned in any communication) and that policy had recently changed. And while the bartender at LIQUID is amazing, the pool itself is very small by resort standards. I hate to knock it down this low. But it does not feel like a luxury resort while charging luxury prices. That's the sad truth. Beds were super comfortable at least, and the location is great (but very loud).

I stayed with my mom for one night to celebrate her birthday, and we had such a wonderful experience. We were upgraded for her special day, and the location was perfect—right on the water with the most beautiful sunset views. The room itself was gorgeous, and we truly enjoyed every moment. The staff was warm and welcoming; Nina at the front desk was especially kind, and the manager Craig went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Our shuttle arrived in town at noon, and they allowed us to check in even though official check in is 4pm. Shouna at the front desk was pleasant. We loved our room, very clean and spacious. We got turn down service at 6pm though we asked them to come back at 7:30 while we napped. Hotel is right in the heart of Duval square activities so we walked everywhere. They are under renovation until December 2025 so there was ongoing construction during our stay, but we didn’t mind because they treated us very well. The next day Craig sent us a text that the pool was closed from 9-11am, but he allowed us to extend our checkout to 1pm so we could enjoy the pool. They even allowed us to leave our bags with them to continue enjoying the pool until 4:30 when we had to leave, and allowed us to shower in their temporary “lobby” shower. They helped me find a power outlet in the courtyard to briefly charge my work laptop for a meeting. The pool attendants were amazing, bartenders and beach chair attendants alike. We will return.

Went to stay here with my partner and if you are looking for luxury, look no further! Between the service (shoutout to Craig, Mitchell, Maya, and Steve), location, pool, views, and amenities, everything was sensational. I've been going to Key West since I was a kid and this was the first time going without family. I will make sure everyone stays here from now on as I don't think I can settle for anything less! Thank you Ocean Key for a wonderful experience; we will be back!

Located in Islamorada, Florida Keys, the Islander Resort has undergone a 17-month renovation to elevate its offerings. The resort spans 24 acres from ocean to bay and features 114 rooms including beachfront suites, ocean view bungalows, and Bayside Villas with boat slips. The Outrigger Suite offers a full kitchen and hot tub with views of the private beach.
e stayed at Island Resort in Islamorada, Florida, in June, and we have to say – it’s one of the most beautiful and best resorts we’ve seen in the United States. Absolutely stunning design. It’s nothing like the typical American style – you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought and investment into every detail. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the entire resort feels like a dream – almost like being in the Maldives. Of course, the beach isn’t quite like the Maldives, but the setting is magical: lush green paths, brand-new bungalows, all surrounded by nature. I was honestly speechless that a place like this exists in the U.S. The value for money is outstanding. We’ve stayed at much worse hotels for the same price. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Florida Keys. You don’t have to stay in Key West – this resort is only about two hours away and offers an experience you won’t find elsewhere for the price. The feeling of sipping a cocktail after sunset, maybe taking a dip in the pool, grabbing a small bite to eat – all while surrounded by beautiful colors, natural materials, and thoughtful architecture – is simply amazing. I’m not a friend, relative, or someone who knows the owners. I have no idea who they are. I’m just a former hotel owner who truly appreciates when someone puts so much care into the small things – the furniture, the layout, the details. It’s just

We had the most amazing stay at the Islander Resort! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly captures that laid-back island vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, the ocean breeze was refreshing, and the whole experience was effortless and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back to our little piece of paradise in Islamorada!

My husband and I had an amazing vacation at Islander Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and took care of every detail. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had beautiful views of the water. The resort itself is well-maintained, with plenty of amenities to enjoy, from the pool to the activity tiki hut with literally anything you would want to do. We loved riding bikes, fishing off the pier, being able to relax and unwind in such a peaceful setting, and the location was perfect for exploring local shops and restaurants. Every interaction with the staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay truly stress-free. We also went right down the street to Cheeca Lodge and Resort and jumped on a boat for a sandbar tour! It was a highlight and so fun and beautiful! Highly recommend Islander Resort for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, it’s the perfect spot for a couples’ vacation! And a special shoutout to Sarah, who made booking and our stay extra special!

We chose The Islander for a family Wedding Celebration. The staff was wonderful. From check in to departure everyone I encountered went above and beyond. The General Manager Joy and Event planner Jennifer made the whole experience a pleasure. The resort is remodeled and has lots to do. It offers a lot of activities that are included as well. Paddle boards, pickleball, bikes, kayaks, yoga, fishing, bonfires, movie night at the pool and a putting green. They have a shuttle that will take you within a few miles of the resort The beds are so comfortable that I want to know what brand mattress it is. The rooms have impact doors and windows which makes it so quiet. The grounds are beautiful and pristine. Thet have two EV chargers. They have several places to eat onsite. I cannot recommend it enough.

Great experience the front desk associate is amazing! I wish I recalled her name but she had short blonde hair. Her customer service was over the top. The food was amazing and the manager was also very accommodating. The overall resort had every accommodation for kids bikes, pool, volleyball, and more. The pool area was beautiful! I highly recommend this resort for families or couples!

We had originally planned to stay elsewhere, but my wife has a severe mold allergy and the other resort couldn’t accommodate us. After checking a couple of our past go-to spots without success, we ended up at Islander Resort—where we were greeted by EXTREMELY friendly staff. Angela and Monica went above and beyond by ofering to show us a couple of rooms so we could be certain my wife wouldn’t have any issues. The very first room we saw was perfect—spotless, fresh, and absolutely no mold—so no need to look any further. From there, everything only got better. The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff are some of the friendliest we’ve ever encountered. Everyone greeted us warmly and genuinely cared about how our stay was going. Madison kept the drinks strong and perfectly balanced at Tides Bar, and the food at Drift exceeded our expectations. There’s so much to do throughout the resort, and the views are simply breathtaking. We absolutely could not have asked for a better experience.

Do not miss the breakfast with a variety of incredible croissants and quiches. Absolutely superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend. My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Beachside Resort and Residency. It was beautifully maintained the staff were friendly and always greeting us with a smile. The concierge in the lobby Susan was amazing. She was so helpful in helping us plan outings that were fun and incredible. Being a local she was so much fun and knowledgeable regarding Key west, her family and its history. The pool and beach like area was great couldn’t ask for anything more with its restaurant the Chicken Walk and its bartenders and serving staff were very attentive.

The rooms were great, as well as the view. I appreciated the fact that there was pool service, and The pool was open at night. I also love the fact that there was a shuttle that could take us to and from downtown, and they were always prompt. I would have liked them to bring coffee up daily, without us having to go ask the front desk, but that’s not a huge problem. The restaurant there was absolutely amazing, as well as the wait staff. I also like that, it was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. All in all, I would stay here again. It really checked all the boxes. We had a two bedroom by the way.

Everything was perfect, really great, the only thing missing was a phone in the room! This is our new go to accommodation when in Key West! On site restaurant / bar was king, all the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, an extra thank you to Hanna at the reception desk. Parking was easy, pool was over the top, beach was clean (as were the entire grounds). King size bed was very comfortable, loved the ceiling fan and the huge bath tub. Truly 5 stars at 3 star rates, great value without sacrificing quality :-)

The shuttle was great and totally appreciated. The pool person should be around till pool area was closed there wasn’t enough towels available. Seemed to be on cell phone all the time. Keeping the critters out of drinks was a challenge. Kinda funny. The food at chicken walk was okay. The bartender was So nice. She was always working hard. Never saw her stop. Everyday I had questions or needed something the people at the desk were always on computers I felt like I was interrupting them. The housekeeping staff were great. Very friendly & helpful even at midnight. I think the pull out couch mattress needs to be better. Very thin & you could feel the coils.

Beachside is super nice place to stay. Staff is eager to please. The location and amenities is excellent. Pool, small beach, snorkeling in the grass flats and small pier for fishing and just sitting being lazy. Don't go if your thirsty or hungry . We stopped in and sat at the bar . There was 4 other people sitting with drinks in front of them. There was 4 bartenders walking past us multiple times and finally 15 minutes later asked if we wanted anything. They were very rude. Would not recommend stopping in.

This will be my first bad review. I don't like to say anything negative but this was a horrible experience. When we tried to get back into our room after dinner to find the Inn had locked us out. We were extremely upset our dog was in the room. We rushed to the front desk to find out they locked us out because they didn't note we were traveling with a service dog in their system. After showering them our documents for the animal they let us in. We had to wait about 1 hour. We had told the person to document the information when we had made our reservation. We left the next day even though we were not going to originally leave. The customer service was frightful. Our child was scared they would lock us out again so not exactly a relaxing vacation. We lost money but peace of mind is everything.

We stayed there in Sept 2023. From the moment we were greeted by Sherri we knew we were in a wonderful resort regardless of their renovation coming up. We met Marcus and Richard (bartenders) and they were wonderful and hospitable :) we stayed in a room facing the beach/pool on the 3rd floor and it was beautiful. Staff was wonderful and so were the guests. I cant wait to see what the renovations will be like.

Don’t go here unless you wanna be harassed by the men that run the place. My mom and I didn’t know that they made the beach private in October and we asked if we could at least take some pictures and the guy said yes, and after two minutes, he came up to us and started harassing us while other men that worked here surrounded us in the area like security guards and then they followed us all the way to the tiki bar. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful behavior. My mom and I are 5ft little ladies and I hope these men get looked into because the man got in my face and they made us feel like we were in danger.

Hello everyone, read the reviews carefully before criticizing or giving an opinion, this is not the first time I have stayed here, but it will be the last time, according to the employees this was bought by Marriott or something like that, which last year was under renovation which is very true, well let's get to the point as we all say, you pay for your vacation package which as they themselves say you are in the keys everything is expensive it is no less true but you are going to enjoy not get frustrated, you already paid, wait why are you going to continue paying 65 dollars plus 59 for hotel feed plus other things that they themselves charge you, the best of all is that you are going to play golf pay, you are going to play pool pay, you are going to talk pay, let's say you are going to pay for everything from the moment you enter and they will tell you what you pay for your vacation plan does not include us, I mention this because before they did not have as many charges as now, for example last year my family and I stayed at the islander resort, we go two blocks more going forward you have it, you pay for your vacation plan and you even have diving included, mind you, I don’t believe the hype, but this resort was better before and was better run and they didn’t charge you a fee… I think the resort management should work a little more on that and you already have enough with paying for the vacation plan without anything included because they are in charge of charging you, so they charge you the room fee, the other thing they force you to make a deposit of 500 dollars which is where they will charge you the fees, plus everything you consume, but they never explain everything well to you… well right now I’m in the process of changing the card because I still don’t trust that they will continue taking money from my bank even though according to them everything was already paid… be careful I am giving an alert so that everyone who goes there should be prepared for everything that goes… it’s a shame because I liked it, I’m already looking for where I can stay without so many payments… hopefully someday it will improve

There were a few minor irritations (toilet flushed on the right, in the corner next to the wall. Full size fridge was tucked into back of kitchenette...with the doors opening the wrong way. Not enough electrical outlets. Nothing major, just minor inconvenience!) The staff was amazing! They could not have been any more helpful and accommodating. The entire property was clean and the landscaping was gorgeous. The pool bar was stupid expensive, but overall it was an incredible stay and we would definitely go back! The view from our cottage and from the pool was breathtaking!!
Susan O — Google review
The resort is located in a perfect location. Access to the beach, nearby restaurants and sandbars if you have a boat with an on-site Marina. The resort itself can use some renovation because it has extraordinary potential. The rooms and beds are comfortable. The downside—no housekeeping came to clean the rooms while we were away. Very quiet surroundings. The pool is walking distance from the rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean. Parking was no issue however that may depend also on how busy the hotel is. The pool has a swim up food bar/hut of sorts that you can order food while remaining in the pool. It was a bit disheartening to find out they no longer serve conch fritters. We’ve had them in the past and they were amazing. This should definitely be placed back on the menu. The overall menu at this time did not grab any of our attention (it was 9 of us)—-fell short of expectations and overpriced. Bring the conch fritters back! Anyhow, overall it’s a great place to kick back and relax.

Lime Tree Bay Resort is a luxurious oceanfront accommodation located in Layton on Long Key, offering newly renovated rooms and a highly praised complimentary breakfast. The resort provides a perfect balance between relaxation and adventure, with amenities such as tiki huts, palm trees, hammocks, kayaks, paddleboards, bicycles, beach games, hammocks and hot tubs. Guests can also enjoy activities like snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding.
We visited Lime Tree Bay in July for a family vacation with 8 adults and 6 children 10 and under. The set up of the resort made it perfect for having separate units but being close enough to hang out and utilize communal spaces. The kids loved the pool overlooking the ocean. We really enjoyed using the paddle boards and were able to take daily trips out where we saw fish, sea turtles and even a sting ray! The bougainvillea unit was a great hang out space with plenty of dining seating and a great patio. Make sure to pack big spray because the mosquitoes were relentless. There were a few minor maintenance issues in our room but the resort staff was very responsive and quick to fix things. Because this was in the middle of the keys it was less crowded and created a relaxing atmosphere. The off property units are really nice and spacious but require crossing a very busy highway that I would not recommend for small children or anyone with mobility issues. We were able to take a day trip down to key west. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!

We picked this resort because we didn't want to feel like we were in the city, and it did not disappoint. There are three or four properties close by that make up the resort. We stayed in an apartment that included a full kitchen. We did have one problem when the toilets backed up into a shower, but plumbers were called and we were moved to a room next door for the rest of our stay, which ended up being an upgrade as the new room had a king size bed and a washer/dryer which was nice. There are use of kayaks, bikes, paddle boards and just need to sign a waiver for each day you want to use them. We kayaked to the North West of the resort and then snorkeled there, and also near the docs and saw many fish, a manta ray, and a local nurse shark. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating and go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. They have a small gift shop and we bought waterproof phone cases which we forgot to bring, but were a must have, so we were thankful they had them. We didn't use any of the pools, but they looked nice. Plenty of seats and hammocks available to lounge on. We went North to the Everglades one day, and down south to Key West on two days, and this was a nice central location. We came for an anniversary trip without our kids, but this would be a good family spot as well. And because we had mentioned our anniversary, our room had a nice decor touch added on our first night.

We loved our stay! Staff is wonderful and the resort is relaxing and fairly quiet. The use of the kayaks was a great perk making the stay even more enjoyable. You do have to drive a little bit to get to other places but we found ourselves not really wanting to leave. We will definitely come back for another stay.

Visited in October for our honeymoon. We stayed there before and knew we would like to return for the chill vibe and easy access to Marathon and all the fun things it has to offer. They surprised us with flower petals and towel sculptures and it was so sweet! Always a good time here, quiet, reasonably priced and a great location, outstanding service and hospitality!

If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet spot in the Florida Keys, this place is perfect. It’s small and charming with super clean rooms, great service, and an amazing staff who go out of their way to help. Everything has been nicely updated, including the pool, which was really nice. There’s a restaurant and bar right next door with really good food, which was super convenient. Other than a nearby convenience store, there’s not much else around—but that was fine with us. The location is great, right between Marathon and Islamorada, so it was easy to get to everything we wanted to do. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend it if you’re just looking to relax and unwind.

Lime Tree Bay Resort has a beautiful, peaceful location that’s perfect for catching sunsets and relaxing — but there are several areas where it falls short. To start, I wish the amenities were available longer. The pool hours felt a bit too limited, and the kayaks were only available during the day and was not available for the beautiful sunsets due to having to have them back before that. There’s only one restaurant on-site, NOT owned by the resort and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment — the food was just not good. The service there was horrendous, It would have been nice to have other dining options available without needing to leave the property. The rooms were okay, found a Dorito on the floor when we walked in from previous guest. Could definitely use some minor updates. There’s a need for better upkeep throughout the building, and a bit more cleanup and care around the outside areas would help improve the overall appearance. Another frustrating part of the stay was that the TV didn’t work for an entire night — not a huge deal, but still annoying, especially when you’re trying to unwind after a long day. Lastly, the “beach” was a letdown. The website makes it seem like you can swim there, but in reality, it’s extremely rocky and not suitable for swimming. That should really be made clearer in the description. Overall, Lime Tree Bay has potential, but between the limited amenities, poor dining, maintenance issues, and misleading beach description, it fell short of expectations.

My husband and I just celebrated our 16th anniversary here at Lime tree. We really liked our stay. We had great room service! It was a great location for us. We use the kayaks. We hung out on the beach. Just everything about this vacation was amazing. Highly recommended.

This place is a gem in the rough. 2 hours south of Miami. 90 minutes north of Key West. 20 minutes to Marathon or Islamorada. Special thanks and big hugs to Terri O. Also, thanks to Terri F, Robin, Myna, and Demita. Our group of 13 visited for the 3rd time because we love this place. Never want to leave. How could you with a view like that or a sunset like that right outside your room. I cannot say enough on how great this place is or how many times we will be back. Love the beach, the pool, the onsite restaurant, and the rocking chairs and hammocks. Thank you all. We will be back soon.

Nestled along the southeastern shoreline of Islamorada in the Florida Keys, Amara Cay Resort is a tropical oceanfront retreat offering a private beach and a heated pool. The resort, formerly a Hampton Inn, underwent renovations in 2015 and now boasts modern accommodations with a distinct Florida decor. Guests can enjoy palm trees, fire pits, and a zero-entry pool while taking in scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean from oceanfront suites.
This place is really great. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Very kid friendly. The pool is big and relaxing and it’s great that they have a bar. They also have live music! The location is perfect to be able to visit local spots.

We had 2 rooms for 3 nights. Hotel and rooms were pleasant. But as we have now come to learn, Marriott hotels do not clean the rooms without you asking. They did tell us this on check in which is fair enough, but premium hotels like this should offer it as standard in my opinion. The small beach area was nice and palm trees offered shade if the mini-tiki huts were in use. Unfortunately the swimming did not look appealing due to the seaweed build up, and at low tide the water did not reach the beach wall. That's nature, so not complaining about that, however the hotel does not advertise this as it would certainly turn visitors away if you are hoping to spend time swimming in the sea. Parking was free which is rare now for the keys. We particularly enjoyed the free 'rum runner' boat taxi which allowed for a fun and easy way to visit the sister hotels in the area. This felt like a fun excursion, not just a convenient taxi. A nice touch was providing our group with metal water bottles on check in which we could keep topped up, saving on plastic bottle use. We brought the bottles home and will continue to use them.

Wonderful and amazing views! Atlantic side so great sunrises. Sunset looks incredible from their beach too. Indoor restaurant and tiki bar are awesome. Pool is spectacular! Rooms are modern and clean.

From the moment we walked in, Brittany at the front desk set the tone for an incredible stay. She was attentive, kind, and genuinely engaging — we instantly knew we’d chosen the right place. When she asked the reason for our visit, we mentioned it was my girlfriend’s birthday weekend. After checking in, we dropped off our bags and headed out for dinner. When we returned, we were greeted with a thoughtful surprise: an assortment of chocolate-covered strawberries, sweets, and even a handwritten birthday card. It was such a special touch. This will definitely be our go-to spot the next time we’re in Key West. Thank you Brittany and the hotel

We traveled with other family members to meet at your property. We were all very impressed with the cleanliness, location, friendliness of the staff and the upkeep and maintenance with the property itself. The added bonus of the water taxi to the other resorts, the shuttle and the included water sports and pool activities exceeded our expectations. We chartered a fishing trip from Three Waters Resort with James Ducanan from Bug Fishing. We filled the boat with our limit of Blue Fin and Yellow Fin Tuna. This also well exceeded our expectations and we had a fantastic trip filled with memories that our family will remember for a lifetime. Thank you again!

We had a great stay at Amara Cay! Staff were amazing especially Brittany! She is kind, happy, and a gem to talk to! She made my birthday extra special by sending a tray of goodies to our room! We will be back!!

We went for our anniversary. They upgraded us to an ocean view and added a happy anniversary banner to our room. The $250 credit for FL residents made it even more worthwhile. The staff was super friendly (esp Alana)! The food at Reelcatch was delicious.

Exceptional property and superb professional staff. I can’t think of one thing the resort didn’t offer or accommodate. I’ve traveled extensively for work and leisure- particularly through the Caribbean (which I love) but Amara Cay stacks up with any resort I’ve stayed in. Including top 5⭐️ resorts.

The Marker Key West is a luxurious 4-star resort located in Old Town, Key West. It offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and features three outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool. The resort underwent a $3 million renovation and now boasts spacious accommodations and first-rate dining experiences at its Starboard restaurant, which is perfect for enjoying Key West sunsets.
Definitely going back! My husband booked through a 3rd party and didn't even realize it. Internet can be tricky. Worked out fine. It was very close to his fave breakfast place, Harpoon Harry's. I usually don't want breakfast so Cuban Coffee Queen takes care of that, all right nearby the hotel. Schooners Wharf is right in front of us and the sun setting over the boats is beautiful, if you have one of those rooms. Pool area was well maintained and nice, they have dual pools! Nice bar setup, but $29 for a small bloody Mary and one NUTRL was pretty crazy. They also have a made to order breakfast window. I believe there's a restaurant somewhere, but we never looked. Can't wait to go back!

I have stayed here at least five times and this time is my last. I used to love this place. Location is amazing and rooms are decent and clean though sound pours through the doors. Customer service is non-existent. But two breakfast servers were amazing and deserve praise: Rose and Jason were awesome. The front desk staff either has zero manners or zero flexibility. Others are newly hired and under-trained. Housekeeping didn’t come on Day 2 - asked me at 4:30p if I wanted service, I asked if they could come back in 15 minutes so I could leave the room - they were frustrated but agreed. I left, they never came back. For the money, you can do so much better than the Marker these days.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. 3 pools to choose from for great options. The room was clean and the view was great. The king bed was not a standard king size bed (which we have at home) so getting used to a smaller bed was a bit of an issue. I asked the hotel and was told that it was "how all of the king beds are at the hotel" and there was nothing that can be done. Other than that, it was a great stay.

We stayed 5 nights at The Marker in Key West. It was a nice hotel in a great location. The grounds are gorgeous with lush gardens. The service was good. The sister hotel at the Southernmost Point had a much larger pool right beside a sand beach, and we were able to visit there as part of our amenities. Great hotel and would love to revisit.

We stayed at the marker for 5 days. The hotel is nice - room was clean and had room service everyday. The pool is nice and always has activities and a daily drink special. The location is the best part of this hotel being right on the marina it was convenient for all our boating activities! the beds/pillows are very comfortable. We were on an end room near the main elevator so we were nervous it would be loud - but it wasn’t at all! The staff were all very nice and always willing to help. Only “complaint” I would have is there are no microwaves in the room or available at all - which kinda sucked when you had leftovers. But it’s a minor inconvenience for the overall experience!
Brittany A — Google review
The hotel room carpet was disgusting. I had to put towels down just to walk on the floor without shoes just to feel normal. For the rate of the room it most definitely should come with clean shampooed carpet. If the carpet can’t be cleaned regularly pull it up. We ended up checking out the next morning and driving to Miami to finish out our anniversary trip. This was my last time staying at The Marker and this was an annual trip because we got married here 9yrs ago. There was no follow with management about our concerns, so hubs said we’re out of here. Poor management results in poor performance! I was relieved once we checked in at the Palms in Miami so I could reset and enjoy the rest of my vacation. I thank God for my husband who simply cares to fix problems!

The property is well-maintained, in a great location, and offers excellent in-room air conditioning. The pool bar is spacious and provides outstanding service. However, my experience was ruined by the dishonesty of the housekeeping and maintenance staff. I accidentally left two items in the locked safe after checking out. When I contacted the front desk, they assured me they would handle the matter and mail the items to me. They sent the housekeeping supervisor and a maintenance worker to retrieve them, but later claimed the safe was empty. I am certain the items were inside, and the safe was definitely locked when I left.

Hotel is lovely. Staff seems great too. It would have been nice to know they were going into renovations in the pool area the week of our stay. They’re basically chipping out the bottom of one of the pools and the noise is unbearable. They decided to inform us the night before. Not cool at all.

Nestled in the tropical landscape of Windley Key, Drop Anchor Resort & Marina is a mid-range hotel offering a tranquil setting and modern decor. With 18 suites spread across five low-rise buildings, this Islamorada retreat provides beach access, a boat ramp, and a fishing pier for families and travelers seeking coastal charm. The hotel's Oceanfront Family Suite is ideal for larger groups or those with little ones.
We had a great stay at Drop Anchor! The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing getaway. The location was peaceful and convenient, perfect for enjoying the area without being in the middle of the crowds. The ceiling fans and extra touches made a big difference, especially in the summer heat. We Kayak and paddled boarding and it was really fun. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt, and check-in was easy. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, AC was cool and quiet. Donna checked us in and she was super helpful and kind. You can hear traffic from the Us 1 highway but that’s kinda unavoidable with how the keys are. The pool was nice and there was even a very thoughtful scrub in the bathroom for us which was wonderful! The grounds were clean, there were hammocks and places to lounge. It was a simple and nice hotel. I’d stay here again for sure!

Do not Book!!! Especially through expedia. They will give you the worst rooms and not take accountability at all. I booked a stay for me and my family for 1 night. The room is disgusting and not safe. The room was hot as can be with nothing but old wall units. The property is not sprayed at all as we were attacked by mosquitoes the whole time and the room just made you feel oily and disgusting the shower is cringe and so out dated. They fool you with photos online but I had no choice but to leave and stay elsewhere. The property manager Dan admitted to having issues with the air conditioning and then went back on his statement later on in the conversation. Not a place I would ever do business with again. Nothing but a lamp in the master bedroom.

The hotel and grounds were clean and manicured. The hotel staff were so pleasant and genuinely happy to be there. My room was just as described and steps away from the beach…. It was a great stay and I appreciate the great customer service… book direct!!!

Raise anchor and look elsewhere!!! Stayed 1 night and felt like we experienced some sort of sleep deprivation torture. Booked non-refundable via 3rd party and then was assessed a resort fee before our room was released to us without any sort of indication of such a fee. The mattress was indescribably bad!! I am someone that will sleep on the floor at times because I actually prefer a firm sleeping surface at times. This mattress was subjectively the most irregular uncomfortable firmness I have ever felt. The coils were poking up at random intervals to provide less comfort. For context, I have 2 basic Amazon mattresses at home and they are wayyyyyyy better. To make extra sure no sleep was obtained the lighting outside the rooms was extra bright and the mini blinds did a poor job of blocking the lights from the room. At one point I looked at my watch and thought it must be mid morning it was so bright- only to find it was 1:15am. The good: room was clean and had no smells which is a huge plus. Location and view was great right on the south side of key.

H2O Suites Hotel is a contemporary property located in the heart of Key West, just steps away from Duval Street. This adults-only resort offers chic suites with amenities such as flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Some suites feature individual plunge pools, private balconies or patios, spa-style bathrooms with soaking tubs and rainfall showers. Guests can enjoy leisurely days sunbathing and relaxing in these spaces.
This place was the perfect spot to stay in Key West. Walking distance from a bunch of great restaurants and services. Only a couple blocks off Duval st. as well as the Southern Most Point Marker. Shout out to Wilfred, he was incredible and made us feel at home and appreciated. He attended to getting us settled as well as helping us secure a golf cart to travel around the island. Complimentary Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's on Saturday were an awesome touch. Then to top it off we received a really cool departure gift at checkout to remind us of our amazing Key West weekend.

Very exclusive and peaceful boutique hotel that is still walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Property is well maintained. Rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean. The private pool is great for relaxing right outside your own room. They provide water, fruits, snacks, and free daily happy hour by the rooftop bar. Good customer service. We really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back. They were incredibly welcoming and the rooms and grounds were super clean and comfy. The location was perfect, just off the beaten path but minutes to everything, walking distance or bike rentals available. The gym was perfect and clean and the rooftop pool and bar was our favorite too. Highly recommend, reasonable rates and all around a beautiful place !

We thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at H2O. The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly, and the rooms were gorgeous — spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The hotel’s location is perfect, on the quieter side of Key West, which made for a truly relaxing stay. Everything about H2O exceeded our expectations.

We fo to Key West about every 2 years, this was the first time we stayed at H2O. It was a great experience. The staff were wonderful and the room with the private pool was amazing. It is located just around the block from Duval St and close to the beach. We will be staying here again for sure!
Tina M — Google review
I wrote this review primarily to help anyone considering H2o Suites Hotel who might have any kind of physical disability affecting going up and down two flights of stairs to access a room. I am also thinking about those of us who are older and just don’t want to deal with the hassle anymore, especially when luggage is involved. However, I have also included some tips at the end to make the most of your stay if you do choose H2o. * * * * * I have a chronic neurological condition, peripheral neuropathy, which affects my feet and balance. As a general rule, it has not impacted our past travels. However, that all changed a couple of weeks before our visit to Key West. My physician unintentionally prescribed something for me that sent my condition into overdrive, making it painful to walk and my leg muscles very weak. In preparation for our trip, I called organizers for our planned excursions a week prior to make sure they were still possible with my condition and was relieved that most of the companies could accommodate me. The last thing on my mind was H2o. Who would imagine that a 5-star luxury hotel would not have elevators for guest rooms? On a whim, I Googled whether they did and was shocked to learn that their elevator does not – it only goes to the rooftop bar/pool and the second-floor gym (so ironic). This was going to be a problem for me, so I called to ask if any options were available. The front desk person was lovely, but not helpful. “If only we had known earlier, we could have made some type of adjustment,” she said. I asked if, at the very least, someone could help with my bags – she confirmed that someone would be available to do that. What I learned later is that she checked on their ONE ADA-compliant room which was already occupied at that time. In retrospect, I should have asked if a first-floor room was a possibility but I did not know the building floor plan. Money was not an issue for the upgraded room, but I was not given that option. It was past their 14-day cancellation period, so we could not back out to arrange for other accommodations either. When we checked in a week later, nobody was available to help with our bags. The young woman who checked us in had absolutely no empathy for our situation either which made things worse. She actually seemed irritated at having to deal with us. My husband had to handle all of the bags after our long day of travel and I was simply traumatized. This may sound like an exaggeration, but it was not . . . walking up and down the two flights of stairs was frightening, especially after any rain. I almost did not want to leave the room. Bottom line is that H2o needs to disclose the fact that they do not have an elevator to the second-floor guest rooms! It is not mentioned on their web site anywhere and was not included in their confirmation email. * * * * * H2o Extras: - In-room: Upgraded toiletries & robes; complimentary frozen Dove bars & muffins (eh . . . if you have other options, go with those). - On-property: Welcome glass of champagne; at the full-service rooftop bar, complimentary mimosas or bloody marys in the late morning (opens at 11:00 am) with small snack, if requested. In the afternoon after 1:00 pm until 5:30 pm, wine or sangria. - Parting gift: It was a thoughtful gesture, but the candle they gave us when we checked out became a problem – it was bulky to add to our already full baggage. And, it was a red flag at the airport, so I was pulled aside and my bag checked. - Coupons: If you look behind the TripAdvisor review request in your room key sleeve, there are two tickets for drinks at The Tipsy Rooster. Unfortunately, we did not discover them until we were home. Really a shame, because we visited the bar a few times without knowing they were there. - Misc.: The icemaker is awesome but start it when you arrive because it takes a while to produce much.

Loved our stay at H2O Suites. Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Shanieka and Winffild. The rooms were large, clean and beautifully decorated. The complimentary champagne, water, chocolates, muffins and ice cream bars were such a nice touch. The pool was lovely, although there was never anyone running the pool bar while we were there. Take note, the 2nd floor rooms are walk up only. The elevator that goes to the pool does not access those rooms. I would definitely recommend for couples and anyone wanting a nice quiet place to stay.
EM K — Google review
This is a great adults only boutique style hotel in the absolute best location in Key West. We had a balcony room and were pleased we hadn’t booked a pool room, which were all fully shaded and the rooftop pool was brilliant! We have stayed in much better 5 star hotels around the world but tbh I don’t think we could have chosen anywhere better in Key West! The pool staff were lovely but reception need to learn how to smile more:-) The coffee machine in the room was total pants and the balcony could have cleaned more often but other than that the room was great for our 13 nights! A 2 minute walk from the room and we were in Duval Street for breakfast and the great nightlife. I would definitely recommend the H20 hotel and would stay here again❤️

Nice resort. We‘re going to Key Largo already for several years, it was our first stay at this resort. If you are looking for a quite and tranquil time, this is the place to go! Everyone working here is really friendly, helpful and accomodating, they life up to your expectations. The resort itself has a nice garden, a pool and hot tub, beach and some other amenities. Best thing is, that you don‘t get bothered by anything, it is super quiet, you don‘t hear any neighbours in the adjacent unit, nor anyone else on the property. It has a nice view onto the Florida Bay and is convenientely located concerning the restaurants on the island. The rooms are nicely decorated, in a „Florida Keys“ style. We will definitely come back, thank you!

The world for this resort is: INCREDIBLE. It truly was an amazing experience! I chose Kona Kai for my elopement, and I couldn’t have picked a better place. Everything was beyond perfect. The staff is kind, professional, and incredibly well-prepared. I especially want to recognize Kathryn, who was an absolute gem—so supportive and helpful with everything, even the little challenges that came up. I only have good things to say about her! Our stay was more than pleasant. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared. The rooms are beautiful, super clean, cozy, and the AC works perfectly (which we really appreciated!). It truly felt like a home away from home. I can’t recommend Kona Kai enough. It holds such a special place in my heart now, and I’m already looking forward to coming back! 💛

This was our first stop in the keys! My husband and I spent two nights in the Passion Fruit suite and it was such a nice retreat for us (from NY). Kona Kai was exactly the kind of experience we wanted, lowkey, relaxing, and such a calming view. We appreciated the adults-only environment and all the different areas they offered where you could lie on a hammock or sit/lie on a lounge chair. My favorite part had to be the complimentary kayaks and paddle boards they offer for guest-usage. The water is so clear and you can see the wildlife from the plants to the jellyfish to the manateee I saw right before I left! It was a magical 48 hours. We hope to come back soon, highly recommend. Special shoutout to the staff and Z! We were welcomed at our late-evening arrival with everything we need from a site map to area recommendations. Thank you for making the start of my husband’s birthday trip a most unforgettable one.

Guests can enjoy amenities such as a heated pool, private beach, saltwater lagoon with a water trampoline, and an on-site marina for docking small boats.
I'm honestly extremely confused why this resort has less than 5 stars...the staff is so accommodating! The daily cleaning service comes around 3 times per week and the front desk kept up with our needs throught text message. The rooms were clean, water pressure was not an issue whatsoever, the beds were super comfortable, the view was amazing, and the staff was working hard the whole time! The resort was so quiet and the pool was amazing with plenty of chairs and shade. We had access to the sister properties, but returned quickly to our resort because we loved how quiet it was. We loved our stay and will return again!!
Melissa G — Google review
So I want to start off saying globally this is a great place. Great location, great atmosphere and great beach. That being said, I have to echo a review I read prior to us going. We went on this trip in November 2022 and did not arrive until later in the day (probably 9pm) due to our flights. When we got there, they only had one king bedroom available.. when we had two reserved kings with a balcony. They gave us instead a king room and a full bed (no balcony for either). We had paid extra for the larger size room and didn't get it. We were told they were booked and there was nothing that could be done other than move us to one of their other resorts, which we didn't want since this one has more amenities. This was very disappointing, my sister in law's husband spent a good amount of time on the phone trying to get some of our money back or at least the full bedroom switched, which never happened. Someone else had also made the same review, stating their reservation wasn't held...so I was disappointed to find it to be true for us. Beware of arriving late and know that you may not receive any help or compensation if you do and don't get what you paid for. Also, the rooms they put us in were on the far side of the resort (which was fine) but I make that comment because they were definitely on the older side and really needed updating. I would go back again but be sure to either arrive early or follow up before arriving to insure I have what I booked.
Jackie Z — Google review
This hotel sadly fell very short. We had high hopes after reading previous positive reviews however since booking I noticed more and more negative experiences being reported by guests. It would be very helpful if staff notified you ahead of time that there is no Lobby in Pelican Cove Resort and that check in is at Postcard Inn next door. The rooms have been poorly renovated and an old thin adjoining door, that has been badly painted over, separated us from the room next door. The light from next door shone under the gap and we could clearly hear coughing and talking from the guests all night. The air conditioning turns on and off very loudly all night and made it sound like we were inside an industrial fan. Although the bed was pretty comfortable sleep was impossible due to all the noise. The balcony light had no switch to turn it off so light shone in and to cap it off the alarm clock had been set and went off loudly at 4 am. I'm sure this would have also woken the guests next door as a wafer thin door separates the rooms. The pictures make this place look like a relaxing and polished beach resort. Unfortunately that was not our experience. The amenities are clearly old and although they may have had a coat of paint and new curtains it hasn't been enough to deliver the quality advertised. Black mold grows on the ceilings of restrooms near the bar and in the bottom of the shower tiles. Hopefully management can make some changes to make this stay more enjoyable for future guests. We definitely didn't feel there was value for money.
Jodie S — Google review
Location is spot on. The rooms are simple and clean, exactly what we were looking for in a one night keys trip. The bed was comfortable and the room was private. The resort and the connection to its sister properties is pretty great and ideal for a longer trip. Ultimately our stay was OK. Our experience boils down to staffing shortages which is a fixable thing: - it took an hour to check in (at a different location down the street), waiting in line with 20 other people well after our 4pm check in. - the pool at Pelican Cove was not cleaned up at the end of the day or in the morning for the one night we stayed. Towels and some items were left around from the day before. - there was not ONE opportunity for us to find a fresh clean pool towel anywhere near the beach or pool at Pelican Cove. No staff in sight. I used my bathroom towels at the pool… such a disappointment with this. I guess it’s smart to bring your own beach towels - the beach had lots of seaweed which is understandable but there was dead fish and flies. Would have been nice if someone had taken care of that before we tried to use the beach area. Thankfully we were able to get a late check out. Thank you to the front desk for this consideration after the frustration with check in. Not sure I would stay at this location again unless it was confirmed that more staff was on site to handle the things that bothered us.

I wish I could rate this hotel as -5. Bugs all over the rooms. Kids were bitten multiple times. When we came home we found out that the bites were from bed bugs. Had to sanitize our house. We changed 3 rooms and finally got a Junior Suite. Tiny room with missing blinds, broken light fixtures, and dirty linens and stained and sticky floor. No closets. Restrooms outside were not working, no water, no shower by the pool. Front desk is closed at this hotel long ago and you have to walk to Post Card Inn resort for any questions. No phone connection to the front desk. You have to consider 25% more on your total rate for the resort fee and taxes. Attaching pictures. Will never stay again. Terrible experience.

Rooms and property are a little run down and dirty. We had a few roaches in our room 317 (please see pictures). Plus, the AC is very loud, noisy, and leaks. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom is horrendous you barely get any water out of the shower head. Caution when booking through Expedia the images of the rooms are nothing like what's shown online. They are much smaller and have no kitchen area. Pease be careful with small kids or animals as the outdoor railing are missing a couple bars and they can VERY easily fall through (please see pictures). The service for the most part is okay but not great. Food and drinks are good. However the location and views are A++. Amazing view from the balcony! All and all I don't believe the property is worth staying at for the kind of money your spending. I'm sure there are a few better alternatives near by. I can assure you that my family and I will not be staying here ever again.

We read great reviews about Pelican Cove Resort at the beginning of 2022 when we booked our honeymoon with a local travel agent in NC. Unfortunately looking at recent reviews it seems the ownership has changed. We were extremely disappointed in the service, or should I say lack thereof. First off the Pelican Cove office is closed so you have to check in at the resort next door with unhelpful and unfriendly staff. They give you a number to text if you need anything, but usually don’t respond or respond hours later. There’s no way to actually call the front desk. We stayed 10 nights and our room was never cleaned nor did we receive clean sheets even after practically begging (via text) every day that they supposedly offer cleaning service (only 3 days a week). Our toilet was broken from the first day but we would have to fix it ourselves every day because they never sent anyone to look at it even though we asked multiple times. We had to beg for toilet paper and towels to be brought to our room every few days. We understand that everyone is short staffed right now, but if that’s the case then don’t overbook what your current staff can handle. We booked in February and were so excited about spending our honeymoon here but were left very disappointed. They also charge a daily resort fee and try to charge more than what you sign for at check in. The only good thing about this resort was the location, the view, and the private beach even though it wasn’t kept up very well. We were extremely disappointed to spend our hard earned money at this resort to not receive resort-like service. This was our first trip to the Keys and we would love to come back but rest assured we will never stay here or at any of their sister resorts.

I highly recommend not staying at this hotel and their sister hotels/resorts. Thankfully our stay here was only for one night. The rooms are extremely small and not very clean. Even the bathroom was dirty upon our arrival. They charge $100 for incidentals and daily resort fee for using their amenities, both of the which are standard. However, the $100 for incidentals has not been removed from my account yet and the daily resort fee is outrageous considering we weren't allowed to use any of the amenities. The location for the resort is nice and that is the only thing I have to recommend them. The staff isn't necessarily friendly or welcoming. We only tried using the kayaking and paddle boarding - which the resort offers as an inclusion to their resort fees, but we were unsuccessful. We went to the staff member attending the area around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5th. We were told the water was too rough and to come back in a few hours. There was somebody already paddle boarding in the waters at this time. However, the water did look a little rough so we did not have a reason to not believe her. Around 10:00 a.m., we observed the same staff member give a kayak to another guest from our balcony. So, at 10:10 a.m., we went again as we had thought that the water activities had resumed. The staff member denied loaning the kayak and told us that she had not been given the go ahead yet and to come back later. She not only did this to us, but another South Asian family as well approximately 5 minutes earlier. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to read this as anything but a microaggressive racist incident. If you're a person of color, with the exception of being Latinos, the keys in general are very racist and not very tourist friendly towards you. I would recommend sticking to more corporate hotels and restaurants than the local ones.

Guests can enjoy an infinity pool, private beach, and easy access to water sports at this mid-range hotel. Additionally, the on-site marina provides opportunities for boating and fishing excursions.
This was one of my favorite vacations I’ve taken. The hotel was so clean and very beautiful. The location itself is amazing, with many things to do. They offer a lot amenities that make your stay even more enjoyable. The staff was so attentive, and helpful. The best part is having access to all three sister resorts. I am ready to return!!!

We just returned from a quick trip to the keys and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Siesta. The location is great, as it is close to everything, or within a short enough drive. The grounds are beyond beautiful. We were checked in by Marilyn, who was able to allow us an early check-in, and she was delightful. Our room was a little dated, but it was great for what we needed it for. There was construction going on in the building next to ours, but we were not interrupted at all. My only complaint, if that's what it even is, is that in the photos they show a beach area, that appears it would be for swimming, but it is definitely not. We did have to leave the resort to swim in the ocean elsewhere, which was not a huge deal, just the photo is a little deceiving. The pool was nice, although very warm, but it was scorching hot outside. We will absolutely return in the future.

Had a great experience at the Marbella home at La Siesta. Very attentive and friendly staff. The home was exceptional with direct access to the water. We were able to visit both sister resorts during our stay and had a great time dining and enjoying the complimentary activities. Our unit came with a butler. He was excellent. He communicated with us before our arrival and had the unit ready to meet our preferences. I highly recommend the resort!

Wonderful location. There were plenty of chairs on the beach for tanning. We utilized the complimentary paddle boards and kayaks everyday. We had a great time there. We had a minor issue with the room and the manager Sean took care of it very very promptly. It was honestly top notch service from Sean. The issue was fixed within minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

My family spent 5 days here and absolutely loved it. The staff were attentive and so polite. All public areas were clean and well stocked. Our boys enjoyed fishing off the docks. When we needed transportation to the other resorts, transportation was faster than originally expected. Staff did not hesitate to carry on conversations with our boys about the island and water activities. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. This time of the year was perfect due to the beach and the pool not being so crowded. This is definitely our new favorite spot for a family vacation!

We have stayed at La Siesta twice in less than a year! That’s how much we love it!! The Marbella house is truly the perfect place to stay if you’re vacationing with a group of friends or family. The house was extremely clean, the kitchen stocked with essentials and our butler (yes we had a butler) was very friendly, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. If we needed a ride somewhere he was always ready to call us a shuttle. We also love that we can visit the sister hotels! Thank you Demetrius for being so welcoming and helping us with everything we needed. Can’t wait to visit again!

I took my family to La Siesta for my mother’s 70th birthday. We had a wonderful time and made the most beautiful memories at La Siesta. There was something to do on property and within walking distance for everyone, even with a few days of rain. Demetrius made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. He went above and beyond our expectations, checking in with us daily, preparing lunch upon our arrival, and sharing recommendations for excursions and boat rentals. Demetrius’ hospitality secured our next trip to La Siesta! 10/10, recommend the resort

I don’t know where to start but I LOVE EVERYTHING with the resort and the employees who work hard day in and out! This is simply an all-inclusive vacation with the resort credit and you don’t have to go to Caribbean and can get vibes right here in Florida. Rooms are amazing and with beauty all around! They are upgrading some part of the resort so imagine how it’s gonna turn out in next few months? Gorgeous! Everyone is sooo nice!!! Huge thanks to Trudane for making our stay SUPER awesome. He was just a call or a text away for anything we needed. We were welcomed by smiling face when we checked in at the front desk by Marilynn. Given an upgrade to a much bigger room than we had booked. Demetrius made sure to always say us hello and asked if we needed anything. Sean the manager was always checking on and was available to talk when needed. The good thing is to you have access to all 3 resorts and have access to all the amenities without any questions asked. You can enjoy the beauty all around. We enjoyed the water taxi and the restaurants. Loved the charter and catch & cook experience! They have electric car chargers right at the resort and you don’t have to worry about charging your car- that was a surprise for us and we were soooo happy! Do not hesitate to go stay here!!! It’s a family environment and we cant wait to go back there again! Vibes are so addicting!!! Jai

Nestled at the top end of Key West near Mallory Square and the city's cruise port, Opal Key Resort & Marina is a newly refurbished 4-star resort featuring 178 spacious accommodations. From cozy standard rooms with ceiling fans and balconies to luxurious two-bedroom suites boasting larger balconies and sleeping space for up to five guests, there's something for everyone.
Best location for Duval and any other spot in Key West. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We went to the southernmost point for the buoy picture and the marina for a Dolphin/snorkeling Sunset cruise. Located directly beside the cruise port so you got to see those arrive and depart. Pool area was nice as well as the onsite restaurant. The street tacos and elites were great! Would definitely return and we are honestly considering bringing our 2 kids next time!

The hotel lobby was very nice and all of the welcoming crew were exceptional. Location was great! We also found the hotel restaurant to be quite nice (even though it was under construction in places) and the food delicious. Rooms has good charging options for devices and we loved the ceiling fan. Going into the rooms I found the property to be in need of TLC with a bit of wear showing all around. We had some water pressure issues with the toilet and faucet though nothing critical. Some of the staff at were not overly friendly when encountered around the property.

We have been coming to Key West for many years. We always like to watch the sunset which is amazing. We went into the establishment with our two dogs. Never been here before and they recommend for us to go upstairs to the balcony. They had just renovated and added a bar with plenty of seating. If you want to watch the sunset this is the place to be. Amazing view and a more than amazing bartender Pedro !!! He told us the upstairs was recently updated with more seating and a bar. If you want to watch the sunset in a laid back environment with no distractions this is the place to be!!! Pedro explained to us the new improvements in the plans. This place is amazing and will only get better. Pedro is the greatest bartender ever with outstanding customer service skills and a great asset for the establishment,

This is the BEST place to stay in Key West, Highly recommend! We had an amazing stay! Booked a Oceanfront room and it did not disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. They truly made us feel at home. The location is perfect, close to everything yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained with great attention to detail. We recommend Lolita's and Elevate, also a perfect location for sunsets. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience . This was our second visit and will return!— highly recommend the Opal Key Marina to anyone visiting Key West.

Though the building and the rooms were nice, the service was less than luxurious. The view was beautiful from the room, and the beds were nice enough. However, there wasn't enough coffee for us every day we were there; no coffee or breakfast was offered outside the room, and for a 'resort' I would expect at least coffee for the patrons. Before arriving, we ordered a special deal for our friend's birthday, and they 'forgot' about it even though our friend paid for wine and flowers to be in the room when we arrived. Because of the error, they 'credited' our room $100, but did not tell us how and where we would be able to use the said credit. We couldn't find any number or resource for room service, and ended up trying to 'spend' the credit at the poolside. I was not impressed with the service or the quality of this 'resort'. Also, on our last day, the view of the water at the restaurant was completely blocked by the giant cruise ship parked there, and our peaceful time was encroached upon by the thousands of cruisers who descended upon that section of Key West.

You need more proficient English speakers. This is Florida. It’s the United States. Not Mexico. Not Cuba. Beautiful place. Great housekeeping. But the question, “Where is the gym?” was met with completely blank stares. Also, let’s not start cleaning at 8:00 am when I’m trying to work out. Let’s not get in my way in any way when I’m paying big bucks for my stay. Also, the restaurant “Lolita’s” and the bartenders there need a wake up call.

We had a wonderful time here last week for my birthday, we checked in Monday with a stay planned through Thursday. Although front desk did a wonderful job with helping us extend to checkout on Friday, while also keeping us in our room which was gorgeous! Front desk, pool staff, housekeeping, Lolita servers hostess and bartenders were all wonderful and super friendly. We live in Miami and come to Key west a few times every year, we’ve never stayed here but CANNOT wait to stay again soon! We’ve definitely found our trusted key west hotel🙏🏼 Cannot say enough about the ocean front room! Gorgeous sunset views everyday, such a dream.

Casa Marina Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton offers elegant accommodations in a luxurious beachfront setting. The stylish rooms exude an island vibe with light and sophisticated decor, featuring hardwood or tiled floors, sheer curtains, and neutral tones. The property boasts lush foliage and palm trees on its beautiful grounds, as well as a rare amenity in Key West - a 1,100-foot-long swimmable beach.
This place is gorgeous. We got married here in 2018. Since then it was renovated and the rooms are absolutely beautiful, the service outstanding and the beach restaurant is something out of a resort magazine, very special. Bring your wallet, the fees, of which there are many, add up quickly, but definitely worth every penny! Quiet, beautiful, and peaceful atmosphere throughout. We can’t wait to come back again in a month or so.

Time we are here 10/3 to 10/8 2025. Our first room was hot and the manager said the A/C turns off when theres no activity. It was so hot the temperature said 76 in our room thats strike 1. No view in this room so please check if you are booking online because its not true about the view and they tried to put us in the old part of the hotel. Not at nice Elevator was broken to suites. When we booked our suite it said partial ocean view it wasnt. We also had a keyless entry from our phone also didnt work. Mr Gilbert helped us out. They did move us to another suite. The pillows in our suite smelled bad and something in our room smelled bad when we tried to sleep. I find it gross when you dont put bags in the garbage cans in our room. Very unsanitary. The bar area counter was always dirty and covered with crumbs of food from others. The girls bartenders were sweet but never seen them lift a finger to clean off anything. Unsanitary. Also could you please have other food selections on menu due to seafood allergies. For a luxury hotel i would think you had that plus a vegan or gluten free menu When our room was wrong Patrick was outstanding and moved us to 2013 please check the pillows. For me the pool area had alot of obnoxious loud people, I like to relax but yesterday October 5, 2025 drunk loud people and someone should of told them to shut up. The beach area on the bigger side was peaceful but the water is a dirty brown not clear and garbage was floating in water everywhere. Not much to do walking distance and if you park your car it costs alot. We walked or Uber ed everywhere. I dont think I would stay here again with all our negative experiences. Its truly beautiful but alot of unnecessary issues came with our stay.

I went to key west for this hotel despite the bad reviews believe it or not! Was there first time after Covid, it was amazing. The property is to die for, so I made my point to go back. Well, the service is just like everyone said online. Pretty horrible compare to 5 stars resort level. It used to be Waldorf chain, now it’s curio. I’m not sure which one is better now since I’m fading out of traveling. Anyway, the service is Hilton garden inn level. Very very disappointing all the way from valet guy who doesn’t even care or tell you where to park your car, and after to parked, they didn’t even approached you. We had to walk around find someone. The bar service was slow, staffs was not very polite like nice hotel should, but ok this is key west I guess. No acknowledge to the guest, everyone at the bar was annoyed by the staff’s behavior. The pool guy on evening shift was very rude(the one that look Middle East) he even shut me off with his hand when I tried to order the drink from the pool and he never come back to me after took the order from other people around the pool. That was tick me off so badly. Thankfully the next day the new guy on morning shift (young white kit) saved it. He was very very nice and always pay attention on the guest. Overall it’s a rip off price for the bad service. They should change their chain to Hampton really, so the guest doesn’t expect the service. However, the property is still to die for. In love every bit of it! I’m so confused if I should go back.

Very nice hotel. 2 outdoor pools and service was great at the restaurant. Room was clean and the bedding was very plush. Loved having a balcony with an ocean view and it was an easy walk to the southern most point. Only downside was that the bathroom was very small and no shelf in the shower. Self park is $45 & valet was $50 per night. Bellstand was too busy to help with luggage when we were ready to check out.

I've just had a three night stay at the Casa Marina and loved it. The hotel has lots of character, being an old Flagler building, and is in a stunning setting with lovely pools, grounds and beach. We booked a King ocean view balcony room and it was great. We found the staff efficient and helpful. I would definitely recommend and would return.
Karin T — Google review
The hotel is gorgeous! It is set on a wide section of beach. They have 2 pools, 1 adults only and the other is for families. They have waiters wandering around to take food and drink orders. There is a pier as well as a water sports rental facility right on the property. The restaurant is open air and located between the 2 pools. The food is great. The rooms are very spacious and are equipped with a coffee maker and mini fridge, but the bathrooms are the smallest I've ever squeezed into. The staff is very friendly, but if you need anything like a luggage rack, so your luggage doesn't sit on the floor, good luck. The cons: We had to ask 4 different people over 2 days before we actually were able.to secure a luggage rack for our room. The ac in our room went out and they did fix it, but it took over an hour to get someone there with the tools he needed to fix it at midnight... Our room also had a table with a single chair in it. We asked for a second chair, but in the 4 days we were there, we never received one. For the thousands we spent to be there for a long weekend, you would think they could supply a second chair and a luggage rack. Overall the hotel was gorgeous. We enjoyed or stay minus a couple if inconveniences. I would recommend staying there, but I would say bring your patience if you have any requests.

Pros of the resort: o The resort was absolutely gorgeous and mostly well-maintained. o Beautiful view from the room. They have two pools - families and adult (which happens to be next to the bar). Service and towel service at the pool was good. o Starbucks and gift-shop. o The had someone on-site creating sand sculptures, which were very cool. o Chairs and umbrellas provided on the beach. o Most of the employees were very polite and helpful. o Access to sister property. Cons o Food/Restaurant • Dorada - although it is a beautiful outside restaurant right on the beach, the food was unacceptable. I had a double-cheeseburger that was inedible - think two very overcooked Sysco frozen patties. Two sandwiches and one drink = $91! Tried to share our bad experience with the front desk, they had zero interest in listening to us and suggested an outside restaurant for a "good burger". • Breakfast buffet - looked great but $40 per person. However, with large groups on property, it was turned to private only with a second buffet moved outside with half the options with hot sun beating down on the food. We passed. Same $40 fee. We did not eat on-site again, which was a huge draw to the place. • The nice restaurant was part of the resort but off-site. That defeats the purpose of an on-site restaurant. o The front desk were not that helpful and borderline rude. o Resort fee of almost $70 per day! Does not include parking, not sure what it included. Towels and chair service at the beach was not maintained and looked like it was not even provided. Towels and trash (cups, etc.) were left and no one cleaned it up until "closing time". Chairs with cushions (anything with a cushion) and cabanas were extra. o Had multiple large groups on-site. They over took the dining room, outside common areas, lobby, bar, etc. Individuals like us were made to feel like we were in the way. Very disappointing. o Rooms were not sound proofed. Heard lots of noise at all hours. Open shelves with very few drawers, limited storage space.

The room was nice, the service was not good. It was not cheap to stay there and I do expect normal housekeeping services? We stayed 8 nights and housekeeping was not done 4 nights until I had to ask? Even when I asked they did not come? Great location and we enjoyed our stay but do expect normal house cleaning every day??!

Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort is a serene retreat in Marathon, offering classic beach houses and upscale amenities. The resort boasts 3 outdoor pools, a putting green, and casual dining options at TJs Tiki Bar. Guests can indulge in massages, body treatments, and facials at the spa salon or relax on the private beach. Conveniently located near attractions like Seven Mile Bridge and Sombrero Beach, this 4-star resort provides a comfortable stay with its American restaurant serving seafood cuisine.
Me and my wife just went here on our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. So calm and peaceful. So beautiful. Great location, with things to do. Close enough to key west. The restaurants on site are amazing. The views from our room were great and we loved having a balcony and back porch looking at the ocean. Adult only pool is great and there are games on the beach too. My only complaint is there is not enough seating in the living room, we want to come back with friends because we rented a 3 bedroom room so it can sleep many people but not enough seating. The couch is also incredibly uncomfortable, like really bad. If they update some of that stuff I would have no complaints. My wife wanted a hot tub but not a big deal. Absolutely come here though if you can, it’s worth it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints there at all. I booked a villa for my family of five so we could cook and I could do laundry. Kitchen was bare bones. Not fully equipped but just enough to cook a meal. Rooms were fine, pool was fine. The beach photos from the web are not accurate and if you booked it for the beach I promise you’ll be disappointed. Luckily that wasn’t our main thing and we enjoyed nearby Sombrero Beach for our ocean fix. Management - it’s time to update your TV situation. TVs are not expensive. But even still, did not greatly affect our stay. Overall, was just okay. Not upset about it. We were glad to have space to spread out and relax. Value for the price was just okay.

The rooms/villas were really beautiful and clean, as well as the whole resort. (Even thoug the cleaning stuff once asked if we want our room cleaned. We answered with yes, but she seemed really annoyed) We loved the pool area, which is so pretty. Not a big fan of the tiki bar. It‘s not really tiki vibes, no draft beer available and really expensive for average drinks. Also: we booked a long time in advance and asked for two villas next to each other. On checkin they said: good news, we have two villas next to each other. A few minutes later we found out that‘s not true. It can‘t be that hard to reserve two villas next to each other!! Especially because the villa between us was empty except for the last night! To sum it up: we enjoyed our stay, especially the location.

While the room, location and service at the Tiki bar were all great, it's the other services that have me lowering the "grade" on this resort. First the good: Yes, location and rooms are great. Service at the Tiki bar was terrific! Ana, our service was attentive. The not so great: We're repeat visitors and they made no effort to acknowledge us as repeat guest. That, in our view, is inexcusable. We were two couple, so we requested rooms next to one another. Nope. Wouldn't do it (and the resort was fairly empty). We were told the manager would contact us. Nope. No contact. The coffee in the room is lousy/undrinkable. They charge for coffee (the good stuff!) in the hotel lobby (meanwhile, they ding you $55 a day with a resort fee). Other bummers: $22 pina colada's, ants on the furniture, spotty wireless, limited housekeeping (they don't clean each time). We felt nickeled and dimed the entire stay. We won't be back.
Lawrence H — Google review
The location was perfect. Beautiful beach with games and gorgeous yet expensive tiki bar. The service was very poor. We didn’t have anyone change out towels/trash the first day. The second day we called and asked for clean towels. We came up to find a plastic trash bag full of clean linens on the front step. We changed our own towels and took out dirty linens and left them on the front step. Took out our own trash. If you’re paying 400-500 a night a person should have to do their own room service. We were there 4 days and never had any room service. Also, in the lobby instant coffee is available but they ask you to pay $3-5 for this. Between that and the $100+ dollars we spent for four drinks at the tiki bar, it is very overpriced for service and quality. We won’t be going back.
Jennifer B — Google review
Pros: Amazing beach as far as most resorts in the Keys go. They have multiple saltwater lagoons you can swim in as well. One of the best views as well. Con: Waited 15 minutes for someone to check us in. Room was not ready even though it was past the 4pm check in time. Rooms/villas are outdated. Linens are scratchy, carpets need to be washed. Food was stale or cold multiple times. Phone in the room was broken. Let them know and they said maintenance would fix it. Nobody ever came to fix it. They seemed very understaffed. Overall. Not a bad option if you have a large family and don’t want to spend the kind of money for the Moorings or something top tier. Could be a lot better. The view of our waterfront villa made up for 90% of the downside.

Beautiful Location, But the Resort Has Really Gone Downhill We recently stayed at Tranquility Bay with my wife and three kids. This was my second visit — my first was about 10 years ago — and sadly, it looks like very little has been updated since then. Our unit was extremely worn down. The tiles on the second floor were loose and shifted as we walked. The refrigerator was old and barely working, the coffee table had burn marks, and the bedframe in the master bedroom was falling apart. Both patio decks were in bad shape, and the carpets were stained and tattered. We also had no Internet during our stay, and staff couldn’t figure out why. The beach had a huge pile of seaweed (at least 150 pounds) that smelled terrible. I asked several times for someone to clean it up so my kids could play, but no one ever came. The amenities themselves are fine — maybe 3 to 4 stars — but the staff made the experience unpleasant. From check-in to check-out, most seemed uninterested or annoyed to be there. It really didn’t feel welcoming at all. The only person who stood out was Andrew, the bartender at the tiki bar. He was friendly, kind, and seemed to genuinely care about guests. As someone who takes his family on as many trips as possible, I really wanted to love this place again — but this will be our last visit unless Tranquility Bay makes some major changes. It’s a beautiful location with great potential, but it desperately needs updates and a staff that actually wants to be there.

I am so grateful we choose tranquility bay for our stay. First time to Florida keys and Marathon. Beautiful kept resort. We stayed in the 200S room. The workers were so amazing and nice. They smiled and so polite. Made the stay very nice and felt welcomed. The resort was so well kept. All pools were Beautiful. We had a heated pool right out if our room. With gorgeous landscaping. The private beach was so cool. For us it was a amazing stay, and hope to be back.

Our stay was amazing from start to finish! The room was gorgeous and spacious and very comfortable. The view was spectacular!! The on site dining options were delicious. Do not miss the breakfast with a variety of incredible croissants and quiches. Absolutely superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend. It was a super quick and cheap uber ride or free shuttle ride down to Duval street. Thanks for making our trip wonderful. We can’t wait to return.

My wife and I stayed a couple nights during our 27 year anniversary trip. Our room was outstanding we spent extra and went into a two bedroom suite it was well worth it. The room was large had an outstanding view with their rooftop deck as well. Everything was very clean very luxurious great bed and great towels great staff highly recommend we will be back again this place made Key West have some great memories for us! We are already planning to come back. The pool is also excellent with a nice hot tub you can see out to the ocean from the pool they have a private Beach area again had a great time!

This was our first trip to Key West. This was without a doubt the BEST vacation ever. Our stay at your facility was amazing. We looked around at several other condos. We wanted a ocean front one bedroom. We looked at your website and found our condo. Unit 127 A. We fell in love with it. It had every thing we wanted and needed. The staff, including Cleaning Ladies who were very accommodating and friendly. The Shuttle Drivers were very Professional and Informative. You don't need to drive anywhere. we were very impressed with your Facility. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. Thank y'all for a GREAT VACATION. MIKE & ALYSA JONES from Forest City, NC

The staff was the best. Always there for anything you need or want. Super friendly!!! The room was spacious, clean, lovely, and quiet. The view was incredible!! This is the only place I would stay and will recommend to anyone. The free shuttle made it easy for commuting to the other side of the island.

This is a great location. The staff was helpful and attentive. We asked for additional pillows and coffee and the items were brought to our room immediately. The property is clean and well maintained. The on site restaurant was really good. Great service and food, you should go at least once while you are there. Poolside service was top notch. Very friendly staff. Our room was clean and well maintained. I would definitely go back again.

No matter how long you stay, you have to pay for them to clean your room. There is a fee of $45 for cleaning on the bill but cleaning is extra during your stay. Air conditioning went out in our first room and we waited over an hour for someone to help, when no one did we went to the front desk a second time and they had us move rooms. The second room also lost the air conditioning twice in one night. This is off season, I can’t imagine when the resort is full. When we checked in no one told us to see the concierge for coupons and recommendations on the island. We also signed up for a sunset tour, showed up on the pier and no one was there. When we went to the desk to ask we were told it was canceled and they tried calling but had the incorrect number in the system that we had given the day before. I would recommend a golf cart rental for a day or 2 to see the island and as a fun, easy way to get around. The pool staff was great and did a great job serving drinks and food. However, they are not truly employees of the resort, they are the town and tavern employees. All food was cooked to perfection.

This place is fantastic! It’s a bit of a drive from the Key West center, but they have a shuttle that runs every hour until 9 PM. It’s always on time, which is great. I had an issue with my room, and in less than 10 minutes, it was resolved. The customer service was fantastic! The only downside is that I couldn’t find the phone number for customer service in my room. I had to go back to the text message I received. I recommend putting the service number somewhere visible so that guests can reach out more easily. Definitely I will be back!

Havana Cabana Key West is a vibrant and hip hotel that captures the essence of Cuban art and culture with its tropical design, classic cars, and Cuban-themed decor. The largest pool in Key West offers a refreshing escape with cabanas, hammocks, and lounge chairs. Guests can savor classic Cuban cuisine at the Floridita Food Truck while enjoying ice-cold mojitos and great music by the pool.
Our long weekend at the Havana Cabana in Key West was absolutely fantastic. This hotel truly captures the relaxing, laid-back vibe of the Keys while providing top-notch amenities and service. The highlight of our stay was definitely the beautifully large pool. It's the perfect spot to unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy the tropical atmosphere. We also highly recommend the Cuban French toast—a delicious and unique twist on a breakfast classic that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was also a standout. It was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room for us to relax after a day of exploring. What truly made our stay special, though, was the exceptional service we received. The hotel's pet-friendly policy was a huge plus, and we were so grateful for Joe's friendly and thoughtful service at check-in. He made us feel so welcome and even provided our small puppy with her own bowls and toys—a gesture that went above and beyond our expectations. We also want to thank David and Chris for their kind and helpful service in accommodating our requests, making sure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend the Havana Cabana for anyone looking for a pet-friendly hotel with great service, a gorgeous pool, and a comfortable stay in Key West. We can't wait to come back!

My husband and I booked a room at this hotel for a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. We spent a lot of time carefully choosing where to stay, and Havana Cabana seemed to check all the boxes. Although it was more expensive than we originally planned, we decided to splurge because it appeared to be the perfect spot. However, on the morning of our reservation, we received a text from the hotel informing us that due to construction, our reservation had been moved to a different property. This came as a complete shock—especially with no advance notice or clear explanation. We immediately reached out to the manager to express our confusion and disappointment. My husband explained that it was my birthday weekend and that such a last-minute change would completely derail our plans. We asked about the possibility of a refund or any form of compensation, given the inconvenience and lack of communication, but were told none would be offered. To make matters worse, the hotel we were transferred to was entirely different—much larger, crowded with families, and lacking the boutique atmosphere we had specifically chosen. One of the main reasons we picked Havana Cabana was for its smaller, more relaxing environment, along with its pool and easily accessible food options. I can’t express how disappointed I am with how this was handled. I’m still at a loss as to how management feels it’s acceptable to relocate guests on the day of their stay without offering any sort of refund or consideration.

The pool bar at Havana Cabana is an amazing spot to unwind and enjoy the Key West vibe. The atmosphere is laid-back and tropical, with great music and a beautiful setting by the water. The food service was a bit slow, but honestly, it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The drinks were also fantastic and refreshing. Overall, a great experience — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Horrible time. If you’re looking for relaxation, avoid this motel. I booked 7 nights and regretted it. I needed a place to rest during early morning dives. They played loud music from 8 am to 11pm whether there was people in pool area or not. Rooms are mediocre at best. Prices for food and drink were outrageous. Also, they charge a daily resort fee of $61. Which is not part of the booking fee. This place almost ruined my time.

This has been our favorite place to stay, out of all the place we have been to. Great location, relaxing atmosphere, very chill(except if there is something going on like fun fest, then it’s the place to be if you like to party),pool is huge, the tiki bar is right next to it, so is the food truck(it’s a cool airstream), plenty of games to play, a shuttle to downtown/airport, they also rent scooters,it’s a resort ,and a hot tub.The rooms are cozy and the staff are great. This is our go to place to visit in the keys. P.S right next store you can rent a golf cart or a jeep. So you can walk over and drop it off without an Uber. P.S.S it was my 50th so they gave me a bottle of champagne. Thank you very much!

Lovely resort full of good vibes, and music! Very helpful and kind staff! The rooms are very spacious and equipped with all comforts! The only upsetting thing was having to pay for breakfast and only have a choice of a big savoury breakfast. We Italians, only like a good coffee and a pastry for breakfast but I understand it's not done in the States! Highly recommended!

We spent two nights at Havana Cabana. While the hotel is a bit off the beaten path, it's perfect if you're driving, with easy and convenient parking. The rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is modern and nicely designed. The front desk staff were professional, welcoming, and always smiling, which added to the warm atmosphere. There were, however, two issues that I believe could easily be improved. First, the music, it's far too loud, both in the lobby and outside, and sometimes goes on until 11:00 PM. Since we had early morning activities planned, this was a bit disruptive. Second, the breakfast setup. It's served from a food truck in a very warm area, which really lacks charm. It’s a shame, especially considering there’s a beautiful lounge just next door that could easily be transformed into a much more inviting breakfast space. For a 4 stars hôtel, it's not good at all... Aside from these points, it was still a great place to stay. The Cuban vibe was there.

Banana Bay Resort & Marina in Marathon, Florida is a waterfront property with a private beach and its own marina offering various water activities like snorkeling tours and sunset cruises. The resort features airy rooms with balconies, an outdoor pool, complimentary bike rentals, and free continental breakfast for guests. Additionally, it offers amenities such as a tiki bar, tennis court, and boat docking facilities.
My husband and I stayed here in April for the 7 mile bridge run and we had a fabulous time. Rachel was absolutely amazing and she made sure we had everything we could possibly need to make our stay enjoyable. We wish we had time to stay another day because of the amenities included! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay!

Disappointing and Misrepresented Stay We arrived in the area a few hours early for check-in and called ahead to see if our room might be ready. Despite the resort appearing nearly empty, we were told we could only check in early(before 4pm) for an additional $50 fee. Throughout our four day stay, interactions with the front desk were cold and impersonal. We dealt with two different staff members, and each time I had to initiate conversation and let them know I was standing there. Housekeeping was nonexistent. I observed staff cleaning rooms nearby, but ours was never touched. We had to change rooms after reporting to the front desk the water had only one temperature - scalding. The second room, unfortunately, wasn’t much better. It was visibly dirty, and the night before we left, a roach ran across one of our pillows. (See attached photos.) Complimentary breakfast was poor and not replenished, the size of the room for multiple tables and the breakfast food was roughly the size of our room. If you book here add in the cost of taking your family out to breakfast as well. The pool area was also in poor shape. There was food debris floating in the water, and the poolside bar was closed despite being advertised as a resort feature. On a positive note, the outdoor space was nice, and the marina area was genuinely enjoyable. The marina bar was open, had good prices, and the service there was solid...probably the best part of the stay. We booked through Expedia and expected to pay about $162 in resort and miscellaneous fees, which we were aware of in advance. However, upon check-in, we were charged $212. The front desk staff told us we should check our reservation details instead of offering any customer service. Overall, this place did not live up to the "resort" label. Between the poor service, unclean rooms, nonexistent housekeeping, and misleading fees, I can't recommend it. The marina area was awesome but not enough to outweigh the other detractors.

This place ended up being really cool!! Upon arrival (we arrived around 12:30am, and the front desk is closed from 11pm-7am), we were quickly greeted by cockroaches in our room! I called the number at the front desk and an employee quickly answered and opened up the front desk area to switch our room! She upgraded us to a better room, with a view, in a different building! We even had a balcony with a cute little table and chairs set up. Definitely not a "resort", it's a pretty divey place and the breakfast is disgusting, but overall great customer service and a fine place to crash for a night!

I gave 5 stars because the people were amazing. The staff work hard to keep it clean and organized. I met Rachael and she was so funny, fun and accommodating. I will absolutely come back just because of her.
Emmy C — Google review
The room was generally clean and cold. But ALWAYS ridiculously humid and the smell of mold was often unbearable! We tried to keep the bathroom door shut at all times to elevate that, but it did not really help. There are about 8 paved spots near the hotel rooms. Everything else is mud, sand and shell. Be aware when it rains. One day, housekeeping literally came in and pulled the sheets up. No bed made, nothing else touched in the room. A different day, housekeeping took all of our towels except one, and replaced none of them. So, we all shared a towel. Breakfast starts at 8. Everyone knows this, including the staff. Not 7:59, we were reminded everyday. Yet no eggs were served until almost 8:30. The room will accommodate about 16? The hotel though many more. Where the food is served maybe fits 4, and that's if you're very friendly. Ice machine rarely had enough ice even for two cups. For what we paid and "resort" name? Has to be one of the biggest letdowns we've been through traveling. For $360/night total, every single aspect of our experience should have been significantly better! If the room didn't smell of mold and we paid half of that, I would have given it an average rating..

Do Not Stay Here — Misleading Fees & Poor Conditions We checked in on Thursday left Sunday, and unfortunately, our stay was disappointing from the start. The hotel advertises free breakfast and parking, but we were hit with a surprise “resort fee.” Of a total of $54 per night per room. When we asked what it covered, we were told it included the pool, parking, and breakfast — all of which were advertised as free in the first place. That’s just deceptive. Some hot items were available (eggs, sausage patties, biscuits with sausage gravy), but the rest was very basic: overripe bananas, cereal, yogurt, and bagels. The tiki bar by the pool was closed, and the one at the marina only served beer. Guests ignored posted pool rules — there were glass containers in the pool, and even after reporting it to the front desk, nothing was done. The pool had visible scum around the edges, and the furniture was old, ripped, and felt unsafe to sit in. The bathroom didn’t have soap or paper towels. The hot tub was out of order the entire stay. The pool guy only skimmed the surface and didn't vacuum the bottom, which had sand, rocks, and other debris. No water testing was done, even when the water looked cloudy. We had a room with a balcony, but the sliding door was difficult to open. The balcony was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Inside, there was sand and crumbs on the floor and in the corners. Black long hair all over the place that showed on all the white furniture in the room. Coffee maker would be great if it worked. The in room refrigerator isn’t a refrigerator it’s a cooler. Housekeeping only came once during our stay — they made the beds, changed towels, and took out the trash but never swept, mopped, or vacuumed. No cable or antenna for the TV. People were loud and using the pool after hours. The “bracelets” to monitor guests? No one wore them and no one checked. In short, the property is poorly maintained, staff is unresponsive, and the extra fees are misleading. Definitely not worth the cost or hassle.

We are not owners. My wife and I just rented a place for an almost week getaway. The people here are superb. The location is perfect. It is in the historical/shopping district, but it is on the opposite end from the cruise ships. Enjoy every inch of the tourist world of Key West, but you get to escape to your own little piece of paradise. It has a private beach and pool. The kitchen is well equipped. I feel like I could live her comfortably for months.

The Galleon Resort right on the gulf, we go every October with our week 40 family, and fun times never fail. Staff is super friendly and always accommodating, the room is always clean and in the process of being upgraded with furniture and in 2026 new bedroom furniture. They have pool with an attached small beach on the gulf specifically for galleon guests. The galleon is 3 blocks away from Duval street and Mallory Square, so live music, shops, local entertainment at the square, and the most beautiful sunsets you will see night after night. Also, if you love to fish, the galleon has a pier for their guests fish. The galleon resort is definitely a tradition vacation which I how to have my kids continue as adult with their families.

Really wonderful place to stay in Key West. Our room had a gorgeous view of the pool and ocean. The room was relatively clean, but one of the bathrooms in the room was very moldy. Some of the fixtures are a bit outdated/worn out, but overall the atmosphere is cozy and tropical. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The location really made this place the best. Just off of Duval, you’re a five minute walk to all the popular restaurants, bars, watersport rental booths, golf cart rentals, and of course the ocean. The onsite tiki bar has good live music and a spectacular view of the sunset, and the onsite restaurant Pirate’s Cove has good food for relatively low prices. This is my second time staying in a penthouse suite here, and I’d definitely come back again.

We have been owners for almost 30 years. We love coming to Key West and the Galleon Resort is located in a wonderful area- close to Mallory Square, it is on the waterfront/marina and has a private beach in addition to the pool and hot tub. There are so many restaurants within walking distance and it’s a wonderful place to relax OR do a bunch of activities such as deep sea fishing, etc.

Pur room was 5th floor , every morning at 4.00 a.m. you hear people walking and stomping on the roof top. The ice machine is a joke. You walk to front deskto get a quarter, then back to the parking lot at the end for ice, we checked in Wednesday. We're told by management after front desk person had to ask if we can park our bike in a spot and our truck. Said 20 extra a day for the bike. We had to say ok to extra 100 for our 5 days here to have somewhere to park. But come Saturday they tell us our pass is expired so we go to the front desk and they change their minds and say we can't park here! We have to park somewhere on the road, it's fantasy fest there's no parking anywhere near here. We drove 24 hrs to bring our bike to ride! Greed set in with fantasy fest! And Don't rent 5B it's literally a closet with a fire escape that they call a balcony. Ants all over it.

Disappointing Stay – Expensive, Broken Crib and No Follow-Up from Management I spent one night here in February 2025, paying $450 for a room that unfortunately did not meet expectations. Despite confirming in advance that the hotel had a crib available, the one provided in our room was broken, making it unusable. Additionally, the window blinds let in a lot of light, and there was a bright streetlight in the hotel’s inner courtyard that shone directly into our room. The light made it impossible to sleep properly throughout the night. I reported these issues to the hotel manager, who took my phone number and email, but I never received any follow-up. For the price, I expected a much higher level of comfort and service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on this experience.

We have been to Key West many times, this is our third time staying at Santa Maria Resort and is the only place we will stay when there. The rooms are extremely well appointed and perfect for two couples or family. walking distance to just about everything. This trip was special for us we brought our 16 year old Grandson for his birthday. Matilda was working the front desk while we were there and was over the top accommodating getting us reservations for snorkeling and dinner/breakfast suggestions. She represents the hotel to the highest of hospitality standards. If your looking for a great place to stay while in Key West, Santa Maria Suite is the place!
Joe L — Google review
The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are lovely, but unfortunately, smoking is allowed everywhere — including around the pool. The pool itself is quite small, and the fact that guests are allowed to smoke cigarettes and cigars there makes it uncomfortable for non-smokers. It’s disappointing, as it discourages many people (like myself) from enjoying the pool area. In my opinion, smoking should be limited to designated areas and not permitted in shared spaces like the pool. This issue significantly impacted my experience, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again for that reason.

This place was Absolutely Fabulous not one complaint. Not only were they clean but super attentive to our ever need. We loved the pool and the beautiful atmosphere. I recently stayed here and was warmly greeted by Azul when I entered. She was very helpful with answering questions about the area and food options. The resort is located near Duval street, but on the quieter end of the busy area. There are some wonderful restaurants within walking distance too. The facility is clean and quiet. There are chilled water bottles available by the pool and in the rooms. The unit I stayed in was well maintained, immaculate and comfortable. I look forward to staying here in the future.

I am shocked at these reviews! We are bikers, and rode our Harleys in October, down from Michigan/Ohio for Fantasy Fest! This was in 2012, and in 10 years this place, with a private beach, wonderful breakfasts each morning out at the end of the cabana's, and well maintained, has gone downhill from a "resort" to barely a motel??? Our cabana for 3 was perfect! Nicely maintained, clean, and all our "neighbors" were great, and friendly!!! Perfectly located, close to downtown area, and dockside for big ships!!! I always admired the hotel part across from us! Just looked so beautiful! Yes, pics are deceiving! We would love to book for next year, and the Rockfest Celebration but, not with bad reviews. Can someone let me know, please.

Not WORTH IT!! We booked double bed room previously and once we reached the room turns out they only have one bed available. When called, they were sold out. Since the hotels were out of our price range in key west we drove all the way back for one hour in the middle of the night. We had to get a separate room at a different hotel Also we were charge extra fees which was not included initially during reservation

This place is under new ownership. I stayed here during Fantasy Fest, and it was great. The cabana rooms next to the pool are awesome. Get a cabana room if you can. It's a totally different vibe and experience, from the rest of the hotel. The bartender was super. I swam in the water next to the boat ramp and dolphins came over to me and swam with me. Can't guarantee that it's going to happen to anyone else, but it was kind of magical. After a circus like day of running around Duval Street, retreating back to this place, and sitting in the rocking chairs at the beach and watching the sunset with a pina colada drink in your hand, it's the kind of thing songs and dreams are made of. Enjoy!

We came into town on a whim and booked here. We had the pleasure of having a window over looking the Gulf and it was gorgeous! The showers and bed were nice along with pool. The hot tub wasn't too hot so we didn't get in but would have liked to. The staff here tho we're awesome and really made our whole trip!! One in particular, Jason, was phenomenal!!! Very helpful and real about what to do here and made our stay amazing! We even left a tablet in our room and they called to return it graciously! Thank you again!!!!:)

I really enjoyed my stay at the resort, however, I do agree with the other reviews that it's more of a motel than a resort. I liked that it was hidden away from the road and has a great view of the water. The pool was refreshing as well. The room was nice but outdated, and needed some fixing up, however we had no problems while we were there. There is also no wifi in the rooms, only at the front desk and in the room where there is perfect. The staff was nice.

Check in was a nightmare! We arrived and were told that our room had been canceled without our permission. After driving 9 hours to be here, this was pretty upsetting. The man working seemed pretty flustered and unorganized. We showed our confirmation email and he looked it up and eventually got it all settled. The resort itself is really cute and perfect for a weekend getaway. The location is nice, rooms are clean, and breakfast is convenient.

Our room was neat and clean, smelled a bit smoky though. Interior looked appealing.Location is close to key west attractions. Hotel premises are not that well maintained. Parking is available. No breakfast or food available even though it was advertised. Old model TV, no Wifi. I would look for something better with more amenities next time.

This resort is great. It has a great amount of amenities close to it for the price and is conveniently located close to the island. We rented a moped to travel around the island and to go out at night. It's a lot easier to find parking for the mopeds, bikes, and scooters than it is for cars. Their pool stays open late and the staff is super friendly and very helpful. They treat guests very well and like family here. We came for 3 days and because of the experience, ended up staying 2 weeks. Love this place!
