The Green Parrot Bar, a Key West institution since 1890, offers a laid-back escape from the bustling Duval Street. Tucked away on Whitehead Street, this beloved dive bar attracts a mix of locals, fishermen, and lucky tourists. The lively atmosphere is fueled by a jukebox featuring artists like Van Morrison and the Temptations, as well as frequent live music performances ranging from funk to blues. It's a favorite spot for both local musicians and big-name bands.
This is a great hang out.. two bars inside, ride on Whitehead just off the main drag of Duval street. Local and domestic beers on tap, good service and great bands make for a wonderful Keys experience!

Didn't see a selection of food but the popped popcorn did draw me in thinking there was some carnival food options (but there were not). Service was okay and the atmosphere, I enjoyed the open doors to people watch. The jukebox had some enjoyable oldies to play. I appreciated the throw back decor, even an old bar scene painting viewed from the stage that was similarly identical. We'll give it another try with the live reggae tonight!
JIll4N — Google review
Can’t beat live music and cold beer!!! Always complementary popcorn!!! Great atmosphere!!! They were celebrating the 31st tradesmen’s day, offering complementary pizza…..the band starts playing at 5:30 every afternoon and the place gets packed, but a great chill atmosphere!!! This place is Key West vibes!!!

One of the best bars in Key West for AWESOME live music! They serve great drinks and prices are not terribly bad! Always a great crowd of people
Tabitha K — Google review
My wife and I went here most recently on July 18th and 19th, 2025 during a 4-night annual trip to Key West. Before that, we've probably been here 30 or 40 other times during previous annual visits because this ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL BACKSTREET DIVE BAR always seems to have the best live music acts anywhere on the island (even better than Sloppy Joe's and the Hog's Breath Saloon). This time was no exception. It was a small Blues Rock trio from Orlando, and the lead singer/guitarist was super talented. Since this is essentially a live music bar, we never deliberately go here to eat. It's also not really enjoyable to even attempt to eat a meal here when the live music volume goes way up and the crowd starts getting into a foot stomping or dancing mood. If you get the munchies while you are here, they do have free popcorn to tide you over, but I'd also recommend you eat a full dinner somewhere else BEFORE you arrive. As far as arrival times, I'd recommend about 8:30 pm most evening because the featured band usually starts its first set at about 9:00 pm and you might still be able to find an open table or seat at the bar. After the live music starts, this place will usually get packed (standing room only) and the crowd often spills outside onto the sidewalk along Whitehead Street. The bands usually play 2 to 3 hour-long sets each night, but I'd check the Parrot's website to find out who is playing and what time their first set is schedule to kick off, as it might be as early as 7:00 pm. Sometimes, they even have bands that will play afternoon sets, but those are pretty rare, and during those hours, the bar is often almost empty except for the local drunks (professional boozers). The drinks here are also very reasonably priced and run about half of what you'd pay along Duval Street just a block away.

Really happy that our group stopped in this historic establishment. Loved how the bartenders treated each customer. They were QUICK to greet us. Made us feel like we really truly WELCOME. Made Excellent Cocktails. I left a SPECIAL Container of Cuban Coffee. I returned an Hour later. They had put it away for me to keep it safe. Excellent in EVERY WAY.

Caribbean Club is a lively waterfront spot known for its festive atmosphere, live music, and stunning sunsets. This iconic venue gained fame as the setting for the Humphrey Bogart film Key Largo and has also been featured in the Netflix series Bloodline. Despite its dive bar vibe, Caribbean Club remains a popular destination offering an array of drinks including mojitos and Key Lime Pie Rum Punch.
Caribbean Club in Key Largo is a classic, laid-back waterfront bar with a great local vibe. It’s famous for its history, live music, and stunning sunset views. Drinks are affordable, and the atmosphere is unpretentious, making it a great spot to relax. They have drinks and there’s a food truck in the front. It can get crowded, especially on weekends, but that just adds to the charm. Perfect place to grab a drink, and enjoy the sunset.
Anthony B — Google review
The initial walk in, looks like an old run-down bar. Not very welcoming or friendly, cash only. After a tip was given for the drinks we ordered, the attitude completely changed to friendly. The outdoor area is beautiful. I didn't try any food.
Carmen R — Google review
Awesome place and great people working and hanging out there! Nice locals place where you are welcomed and feel at home! This is also one of the locations where 'Key Largo', starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall was filmed! They had one of the best sunsets I've seen in a long time! Great drinks and atmosphere!
Joel C — Google review
They have a food truck out front but it is a different business and the food was great too! Can't beat the chill vibe and gorgeous sunset views of this place we were there are three different nights for live music or just hanging out in the evening.
C B — Google review
We had the best time at the Caribbean Club! Drinks were good and reasonable, and you can’t beat their amazing view. We will be back again!
Hannah M — Google review
Great place to chill out watching the sunset, have a few drinks and dance to live music. Preferred by locals. NOTE: CASH ONLY!
Vicente P — Google review
As a Bogart and Bacall fan, I had to stop by the Caribbean Club for a brew. Exterior shots of the bar were used in the 1948 classic film, Key Largo. There is outdoor seating for wonderful ocean views, and a food truck offering burgers, fish sandwiches, and tacos. Atmosphere is the word for this watering hole bar dating back to the 30’s. Highly recommended!

3Key West

Mentioned on

Key West is a charming island city located in the Florida Keys archipelago, known for its colorful conch-style houses and being the southernmost point of Florida. While it's a popular stop for cruise ships, it can also be reached via the Overseas Highway from the mainland. The area is more famous for its coral reefs, making it a prime destination for diving and snorkeling rather than traditional beach activities.

No Name Pub is a hidden gem in Florida, tucked away on Big Pine Key. This classic dive bar and restaurant is adorned with millions of dollar bills covering every inch of the walls and ceilings, creating a unique and quirky decor. The tavern offers an eclectic menu featuring homestyle fare such as chili and their specialty pizzas. It's the perfect spot to grab a beer and burger while admiring the fascinating display of currency contributed by patrons over the years.
We always stop at No Name Pub on our way to Key West, and as locals, is often. The food is always quick, great portion sizes, and amazing. We typically do just a couple appetizers, but since we were staying in Key West for the night decided to do lunch. Kelly was super quick with the waters which I definitely appreciate and when she noticed I was low, was on it before I could ask. This is simple, but something many restaurants lack. I got the Kentucky bourbon burger while my husband got the pulled pork sandwich. My burger was perfectly done, LAYERED with toppings, and full of flavor but the silver dollar potato fries were my favorite! Very nicely seasoned and a large portion. My husband devoured his pulled pork sandwich and was full hours later, but he also enjoyed the coleslaw. Again, food was VERY quick. I think we were in and out within an hour while thoroughly enjoying our time and feeling satisfied. My only complaint were the staff conversations this trip and it’s not really a complaint, but future advice. The store worker mentioned the Trump meme coin and went on and on for nearly half our time there about her political views - something not every diner will agree with. People are there to eat and not hear her opinions and distaste for the politics. I give it to Kelly yet again, she made it a point to acknowledge her co-worker while slipping out of the conversation entirely which I really admired.
Le A — Google review
Went to the legendary No Name Pub in Big Pine Key—the place that’s so hidden, I thought I was being lured into a pirate-themed prank. But no, it’s real. It’s famous. And I was hungry. Let’s talk food: it was… fine. Not bad, not great, just kind of there—like a supporting actor in a movie where the lead role is played by the Key lime pie, which absolutely stole the show. Tart, creamy, and sweet enough to make you forgive your meal for being forgettable. Now the atmosphere? 10/10. It’s got that authentic “Florida Keys meets roadside treasure map” energy. Walls covered in dollar bills, locals who may or may not be in witness protection, and the kind of rustic charm that makes you want to drink a beer at noon and buy a boat. Would I go back? Probably. For the pie and the vibes. Just don’t come expecting a Michelin star—come for a Florida Keys experience in its purest, quirkiest form.
RA G — Google review
This was our second time at No Name Pub. My husband heard about it years ago and we came here about 8 years ago and then in 2025. The people are super friendly, the food (I had the smoked fish dip and it was AMAZING). It’s a very interesting place with great food and drinks and very nice people.
Deborah K — Google review
One of the most amazing bars I've ever seen, much less been to several times! This place is covered in dollar bills. From wall to ceiling from door-to-door. The service is wonderful. They didn't estimate a while back by square footage. That estimate came out to be $750,000 to $800,000! This place is so cool 😎.
Heather S — Google review
Old Florida. Awesome place. The atmosphere is nice as are the staff. We did not dine here. I heard the place has the best pizza in the Keys. They have some tall bar stools. You even might see some Key deer on your journey to the No Name.
Richard C — Google review
Pizza crust was amazing. Rest of the pizza was a pretty normal pizza. We had the Hawaiian and the meats. It was super cool seeing all of the dollar bills and reading some of the different ones. Very strong pub vibes inside and they mostly played country music. Service was good.
Kaylee — Google review
We decided to drive down to Big Pine Key from Islamorada (about an hour drive) and see the key deer and have a late lunch at the No Name Pub. Points of interest: * We saw a dozen or so key deer as we were driving through the neighborhood of Big Pine on our way to No Name. They were not afraid of us and we got some cute pics from the car. * No Name only serves beer and wine. That was fine for us. * The inside looked and smelled clean. No strong bleach or stale beer smell. We were not sure what to expect from a pub. * The inside area is rather small but they do have an outside area as well. * Two surprises. The first was our waitress, Katie. She was fun, energetic, and lots of personality. She turned a good experience into a great experience. We brought dollar bills to sign and staple to the walls. She brought out a box of colorful highlighters to customize them. She also gave us some good recommendations on food. * The second surprise was the food. Based on Katie’s recommendations we order the fish dip and chicken wings (bourbon glaze). Both might have been the best we’ve ever had. Really good. Other items (like their pizza) looked real good as well. The table next to us had some positive comments on it. As most people know before you go there that there are thousands of dollar bills stapled to the walls, ceilings, columns, and beams. It is amazing seeing so many. We had a very positive experience and would recommend this place to friends and family..
John M — Google review
Kelly was are bartender and truly amazing! Her personality and recommendations were perfect! She treated us like family! Even took us out the patio to show us a deer! This will be an annual stop! Get the smoked fish dip! Delicious! Next time we will get the pizza!

Nestled in the serene getaway of Islamorada, Hog Heaven Sports Bar and Grill offers a laid-back atmosphere that stands out from the more upscale spots on the island. True to its name, this venue attracts bikers, visitors, and residents seeking a relaxed setting. Whether you choose to dine and imbibe in the shaded area or relax on the docks under umbrellas, this spot is a haven for those who love casual bar experiences.
First time eating here. Loved the location and sitting out by the water. Even enjoyed a manatee sighting! I'm sure this place is lively and busy on the weekends, but we went for lunch on a Wednesday. Nice and quiet. Service was very good. Enjoyed the pork belly appetizer. The pulled pork and brisket were good and the fries were cut quite differently, but tasty. We shared a slice of the key lime pie. We couldn't finish it! It's huge and very good, just ask for extra whipped cream. We've eaten at numerous places in the keys and we would come back for the barbecue and the water views.
Luis R — Google review
Great dock-side pub recommended by a friend. We visited on a Sunday during Football season. They had two games showing on the patio, which was a great atmosphere. We ordered some nachos and drinks, and enjoyed the remainder of the football game. Our server was great, food was delicious, and they offer military discounts, which was very much appreciated. A very fun, playful atmosphere with great food!
Michael D — Google review
Hog Heaven is a touristy spot during the day and a hot spot for partiers at night. It sits on the water and has a pier with a few boats docked. Maybe they are customers. We showed up in the afternoon for a late lunch. I liked the decor, which resembles a clean and cool-looking biker bar but it actually is a restaurant that specializes in pork dishes for the general public, rather than motorcycles and bikers. Hence the double meanings of "hog" in their name. We ordered the Pig Candy for our appetizer. It was good but could've been a bit crispier, I think. For my main meal, I ordered a Pulled Pork sandwich with fries. I was a little disappointed in the lack of BBQ flavor in the pork and it could've been juicer. I could taste the smokiness but not the BBQ sauce in it. They did include 3 different sauces with the dish but I only liked one of them. The other 2 were a mustard sauce and a very spicy red one. I love my BBQ dishes and know what I want. My daughter got the Shrimp Poor Boy sandwich and said that her sandwich could've used more flavor also. But they were OK, and we would return here again and try different dishes. My daughter also had a Hog A Rita, a Margarita, which was made well. Our server was Zach, who was friendly and helpful answering questions. He was very busy but still checked in on us frequently. We walked around the restaurant for a bit and took a few pics as there are many photo ops here and interesting collectibles to look at.
Astrida M — Google review
I don’t remember what the gentleman’s name was that waited on us, but he was excellent. There’s so many great menu choices, but he never rushed us. I had a (couple) coconut sunrise drinks which, were delicious! The Mahi Hog Tacos were very good. They don’t skimp on the mahi portion, and the combo of citrus slaw and black bean salsa made for a tasty, bright mouthful! The fried okra was perfect- light and crispy. Their house sauce complimented everything nicely. So good we brought some home for our leftovers! My husband and I split a piece of Key Lime Pie (as stuffed as we were), and I’m SO glad we did! It was one of the best I’ve had! Served super cold (which was great) not overly tangy, and super creamy. If you’re traveling the Keys, this is a definite “must try” restaurant. We’ll be back, for sure!
Alison H — Google review
Must stop every time we’re headed home from the keys!! The pig wings are amazing definitely need an order for each person you won’t want to share. This time we brought in a few lobsters that we had just caught and came a with a couple sides recommended the Mac n cheese and slaw. Also fun for the kids to feed the local parrot fish barracuda and mangrove snapper. The service is always great and never have to wait for your food. Definitely recommend stopping in day or night.
Cale L — Google review
We went mid afternoon and it was slow. We ate out back where we could see the water. The food was okay, the brisket and fish were dry. But everything else was good. We walked around the dock to check things out. It was a Wednesday in October so not much was going on.
Valerie N — Google review
Atmosphere and vibe is lively. Excellent music by the water. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner and cocktails by the water. I had the mahi mahi sandwich with fries. My husband had the turkey and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were wonderful.

Hog Heaven was a truly memorable experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional – we loved the Pig Candy and the Key West Corn, I had the Brisket Burger….it was very tender!! The bar had well crafted drinks!!We watched a football game, after the game the tables were moved and the DJ started playing great music…..out back there’s an outside bar, with live music!! Capt Tony’s Saloon is a historic pub with a rich and colorful past, attracting famous patrons such as Ernest Hemingway, Shel Silverstein, and Jimmy Buffet. Originally an icehouse doubling as a morgue in 1851, the building has served various purposes over the years including a wireless telegraph station, cigar factory, bordello, and speakeasy before becoming an esteemed bar in the 1930s.
As we continued our early evening key west bar crawl we arrived at Captain Tony’s Saloon, maybe a little earlier than others would like. But it was perfect. Awesome drinks fun crowds and an awesome chance to try to get our coins into the grouper above the Captain Tony’s Saloon sign! Fun fun fun stop in key west.

This is Key West at its best. Historic building combined with drinking. Dark and historic. The bartender was really nice. People try to flip a quarter facing backwards into the big fish’s mouth that is over the door outside. We were here on 10/17/25.

Old Key West at its finest. Quirky and quaint, being one of the oldest bars in Key West with dollar bills on every surface. Standing out front, trying to get quarters in the mouth of the fish, on the sign! my friend did it!!!! 😁

🍹 Captain Tony’s Saloon: A Hemingway Fan’s Hidden Gem If you're tracing the footsteps of Hemingway in Key West, it’s easy to be drawn to the current Sloppy Joe's bar on Duval Street—but the real magic lies just a short stroll away at Captain Tony’s Saloon, the original location of Sloppy Joe’s where Hemingway himself used to drink. Walking through the doors feels like slipping back into a grittier, wilder version of old Key West. The walls are drenched in history (and business cards), the ceiling’s decorated with bras and dollar bills, and live music floats through the dimly lit saloon like a siren song from a bygone era. It’s chaotic, quirky, and full of stories. The drinks are great, the locals are colorful, and if you’re lucky, you'll catch a storyteller spinning tales that blur the line between myth and memory. Whether you're sipping a rum punch or a cold beer, you're not just having a drink—you're having an experience. So yes, stop by Sloppy Joe’s, but don’t leave Key West without raising a glass at Captain Tony’s. It’s not just a bar—it’s a slice of literary and tropical legend.

Sloppy Joe's Bar, a historic establishment open since the 1930s, is an iconic saloon once frequented by Ernest Hemingway and now renowned for its Hemingway Look-Alike Contests. The bar offers live music, dancing, and a separate tap room for sports-watching. Visitors can also enjoy delicious food such as Cubano sandwiches and Key Lime pie at this lively spot on the corner of Duval and Greene Street.
We went here because we read that Hemingway used to come here. So we decided to give it a try and went there for a late lunch. The food was so good. I especially loved their cheese fries, it is one of my favorite foods, and I can tell you they didn't disappoint. We had the sloppy Joe (of course) and a Philly cheese steak, which were very tasty. There was live music playing. You can feel the history in the place. The service was great as well.

This is always a stop on our visit to Key West!! We love it here. We met a spectacular bar tender Matty this time. We picked the first drinks; rum punch and blackberry tequila and then went with his suggestion of the Matty Mojitos. They were delicious!!! Also shared a quick key lime cream shot with the folks at the small front bar. Great stop!!! Thanks Sloppy Joe’s!!!

If you're looking for a classic Key West bar, it's hard to beat this one. We were in the Keys during the slow season (end of September) and this place was one of the few that was busy for lunch. Yes, there was a cruise ship in Port, but it makes sense people flocked here. A big stage with live music going, multiple bars to get drinks at, and fast and friendly table service. The tables are packed in tight, but the wait staff was fast with drinks, food, and water. We tried the sloppy joe nachos which were huge and tasty. Added to our bar cup collection as well! Overall, glad we made this an extended lunch stop.
Ross L — Google review
I have been here previously, but my husband has not. By far the best sloppy Joe’s you will ever have hands down. My husband is a vegetarian and was very impressed with his meal. We had unplanned live music playing, and he was phenomenal. Our waitress was very fast and the service was some of the best we have had. I had a beer and my husband had a A specialty drink. The drink was just average, but the atmosphere and food fire made up for this.

Great bar, with a fun and open atmosphere! We loved that they had cameras so we could wave to our loved one's back home. There was live music and the staff were super friendly. I definitely recommend for a cold beer and some reprieve from the Key West sun!

The bar is always buzzing with live music, friendly staff, and a fun crowd, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area. The drinks are well-made, the food is solid, and the energy of the place really captures the Key West vibe. It’s touristy, but in the best way—full of life, tradition, and that carefree island spirit.

Recently visited while stopping over in Key West. This place is a vibe for sure! Julie was at the bar and it was also her birthday! She is a National Treasure! Easy to talk to and very friendly! I am happy to have met her on my visit! Beers are cold, drinks are strong and good. Loved the live music! Try the fish bites and Cuban sandwich! Will definitely return!

My #1 stop in Key West!! My friends and I love this place! I’ll be dreaming about that sloppy Joe sandwich for years to come! When I tell you, their service is nothing but friendly, accommodating, and so helpful - I mean it!! Our server was so lovely and the food was delicious and came out quickly! The live music was the cherry on top! I got the sweet tea and sloppy Joe sandwich after a long day of snorkeling and it HIT THE SPOT 🔥🔥 I could have eaten like 5 of these!! I can’t wait to come back and bring more friends and family!

Lorelei Restaurant & Cabana Bar is a spacious bayfront roadhouse located in the Upper Keys, offering seasonal seafood and live music with stunning sunset views. The outdoor bar hosts nightly sunset celebrations featuring performances by bands like The Dana Collins Band and Mr. Nice Guy Band. Their backcountry yellowtail snapper, encrusted with Parmesan and drizzled with citrus-spiked beurre blanc, is a must-try dish for an authentic taste of the Keys.
Go for sunset and stay for the music and food! The atmosphere was everything you would want for an island vibe. Chris, the bartender, was fast and efficient and so friendly. Out server, Dale, didn’t miss a beat and made we sure knew what to order for the best meal.

The food was mediocre I thought. The lobster nor the steak had much flavor. My wife said her fish tacos were really good. The staff was friendly. It was outside dining and the flies were bad. The view was amazing. We all thought it would be a great place to go back and have drinks with friends. Not a dinner destination that we would return to.

Did dinner here on vacation. Our 2nd time dining here and highly recommend. They had a lobster special where it was fried and accompanied by a mango salsa. Yum. Macaroni and cheese was a bit plain but delicious (you can add pulled pork, lobster, shrimp or bacon and jalapeño for an upcharge.

We checked out this place recently and we enjoyed it. Our waitress was Amy and she was very nice and efficient. I got the burger/fries ($20.45) and my wife got the fish tacos ($18.95). My burger was wonderful and so were the fries. My wife said that fish tacos lacked flavor. The view was nice and parking was easy.

View at sunset is magical 😍 Now about the food! Disappointing lobster. Waitress had difficulties with separating the bill. Also waitress added 20% tip for party of 8. That was fine but she was disappointed that we didn't tip more. She actually came out and asked what she did wrong. Not good. So watch your bill for sure.

Great little place tucked away, right on the water in Islemorada. Not quite in the hidden gem genre, but most certainly an off the beaten path stop if you're on your way to Key West. Right on the water, all tables offer a great view. Service is friendly and courteous. Food and drinks are all excellent. Definitely a recommended stop.

Food was fantastic! My husband had the blackened snapper and I had the coconut shrimp. The service was great and the view was even better! Definitely a dining highlight to our trip

The perfect “Keys” vibe. Beautiful waterfront setting for sunset views. Bar feels like something from a Jimmy Buffet song. Bartender was amazing: friendly, moving a hundred miles an hour and fun to watch. And it wasn’t even busy. Conch fritters were perfectly done and our fish was also fresh and nicely prepared. This isn’t fine dining, but delicious and such a fun setting. My girlfriend (in her 50’s) grew up coming here and it was so great to see nothing has really changed since she was a kid. Places like this are what make the Keys so special and unique. May they be here another 50 years!

The Fish House is a renowned dining establishment and seafood market in Key Largo, serving locally caught seafood since 1982. It has been consistently recognized for its exceptional cuisine, including the best key lime pie in Florida. The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere where guests can enjoy a variety of fish prepared in different styles, such as blackened or jerked.
We were seated right away and the service was really fast. The customers were very loud at the tables but I can’t fault the restaurant for that. We just went diving and we were exhausted and just wanted to eat and go to sleep. We really loved what we ordered. I had yellow tail blackened and there was a lot of food and it was cooked really well. My husband ordered maticumba mahi mahi. He loved it! It almost had an Italian twist with the flavors but it was yummy m. We also ordered the ceviche and the smoked fish dip and for dessert we had the coconut key lime pie. That was really really good.
Tiva L — Google review
Excellent! Exactly what you would expect at a local keys eatery… We stopped for lunch. The atmosphere was crowded and bustling but not unpleasant, the fish was fresh, service was attentive, the fish dip, mussels and snapper were the winners of this lunch but everyone raved about their choices. They also have a fish counter so you can order fish dip or other delights on your way out to take home. We will be back.
Michelle B — Google review
We had an OK experience at The Fish House… lots of glitz and glitter, but we food the food mostly lacking… with a couple of exceptions! We had cocktails (coconut martini and Cadillac margaritas), both good. Appetizers included the crab cake and smoked fish appetizer… crab cake, average, fresh, but we prefer the NE lump crab style. Smoked fish, while unique, we found it underwhelming. Entrees included the fried seafood combo and the matecumbe yellowfin. Most of the fried seafood was old, overcooked. Exception the fried scallops, they were outstanding! Similarly, the yellowfin matecumbe was fantastic. Those two seafoods were exceptional. Desserts included coconut ice cream, frozen ice cube of coconut, and coconut key lime pie. Not sure what was on top of the pie, but the putty, spongy pink topped coconut was weird. A couple of hits, mostly misses. Cannot recommend you visit.

We came from PA and from the moment you walked in until you left staff and food were GREAT! Thank you for making a birthday memorable! We will always stop here and make sure to always get the best key lime pie one can offer!

4 stars instead of 5 because it cost me $37/4 strips of fried fish. Yes...it was delicious and the beans & rive had good flavor Definitely fresh caught snapper was used. The price goes up $9 if you select mangrove snapper over mahi mahi. Loved the decor on the walls. Service was good...it was 11:30 am on a Friday.

We really had one of the best seafood experiences ever at The Fish House. Our son really loved the dish of shrimp and scallop over rice. It’s plate licking good for him. :) The snapper filet was so fresh and delicious, cooked to perfection with tomatoes topping and butter sauce. The grilled whole lobster was juicy and tender we would always remember how good it tasted. All dishes were recommended by the waiter instead of picking them out from a busy menu. Highly recommend!

I’m usually not one to leave reviews but this place deserves the time for one. This was my second time to the Florida keys for a fishing trip and we decided to try this place out by the awesome reviews they have. We first came here to eat on Friday night we got a ton of apps that all came out fast and hot and were all incredible. I got the mahi sandwich platter that was amazing and the rest of the table got the seared tuna meal which was a very large portion perfectly cooked and delicious. We were so impressed by the meal and the top notch service we decided to have it again Saturday night before we left town Sunday. We all got different meals which were of course all amazing as well. I ordered the shrimp scampi linguini after seeing it on a table next to me and let me tell you that was the best pasta meal I have ever had in my life. The sauce tasted homemade and the flavor was perfect and of course a large portion. The service side of things was also incredible. From the second we sat down both times drink orders were taken and on the table within minutes. The timely manner of every server encounter was timed perfectly and also attention to detail was spot on with orders and refills. I will forever eat at this place any time I’m in town.

Absolutely delicious meal! Top 3 seafood experiences I've ever had eating seafood coast to coast. The fish was fresh, amazingly seasoned (blackened) swordfish and shrimp. The Scallops were hands down the best I've ever eaten, so tender and buttery it's worth a visit back from where ever you live! Tried the crab cake and crab stuffed mushrooms, both fantastic! Got the recommendation from the tour guide on our airboat tour and can't thank them enough! Service was on point too! If you're in the FL Keys, make a stop by for the best and fresheat Seafood around!

Sunset Grille & Raw Bar is a casual beachside eatery that specializes in seafood dishes like dolphin and sushi. Whether you prefer indoor dining or sitting by the water, this spot offers a tropical vacation vibe. With a tiki bar overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, it's the perfect place to enjoy their Happy Hour from 4-6 pm with entertainment and a wide selection of drinks at their liquor store.
We stopped for a late lunch. I had the Tuna Poke Bowl and he had the Voodoo grouper sandwich with fries. Both were wonderful. This was recommended by our staff at The Hammocks.

The view is is great. There is a great view of the water and 7 mile bridge. The Sun sets on the other side of the bridge, but you can see it from the balcony or poolside. The food here is decent. Many seafood options including sushi. The specialty drinks are very expensive so pay attention to what you are ordering even if you don't get the special cups that go with it. The poolside seating was not shaded when we were there. The pool can vary from all adults to all children. If you don't have kids in the pool I would not sit directly next to the pool.

For an unforgettable dining experience, there’s no better place to relish a stunning sunset than at this gem located right next to the iconic Seven Mile Bridge. Picture yourself savoring a freshly caught fish, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, while lounging by the sparkling pool. As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with vibrant hues of orange and pink, you'll be reminded of the natural beauty that defines Key West. If you’re in search of both breathtaking views and delicious, authentic local cuisine, do yourself a favor and make this spot your destination for an evening to remember.

This bar was a neat place to stop for lunch. My husband said the Cuban sandwich was good and his Landshark was nice and cold. I had a Chicken Philly and it was good although I am not a fan of batter coated fries. The Tiki Hut was very cool with drink signage attached to the hut which I had never seen done before. They even have a swimming pool located at the back of the restaurant so you can sip your favorite cocktail and stay cool sitting by the pool. Prices were pretty typical of the island and our waitress was very attentive but not overly intrusive. I think it would be a fun place for a drink at sunset but I imagine it gets pretty busy as the sun sets each day
Carol M — Google review
There was about a 40-minute wait, but we noticed open seats at the bar and sat there right away. We arrived around 7:30 PM. We looked through the menu and ordered directly from the bartender. We also asked for some water. All the food came out at once. The ribs were absolutely delicious, and the mac and cheese was amazing too — the portions were very generous! The tuna nachos were also pretty good. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn’t our favorite. We tried the Key West Roll and the Rainbow Roll. The rice was quite bland, and the fish on the Rainbow Roll was sliced so thin it was almost transparent. The Key West Roll had a very mayonnaise-heavy sauce, which just wasn’t to our taste, so we ended up pushing it aside. Overall though, it was a very positive experience — beautiful sunset, good vibes, great food (just wouldn’t recommend the sushi). 😊

My wife and I stopped here for lunch, right after they opened on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. We had stopped here for a walk-through tour of this about 18 months previously, but we did not have time to eat that day because were driving down to Key West. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly hostess, and there was Jimmy Buffett music playing on the speakers, so it gave us a good first impression vibe. We were the first guests seated and got a nice table along the southeasterly facing balcony with a great view of the Knight's Key Channel and the Seven Mile Bridge. The food we ordered was pretty good (but not gourmet) and our server (Nelson) was very friendly and professional. It looked like this place gets very crowded on the weekends with locals, or during the season, so if you do decide to dine here for lunch, I would recommend arriving as soon as they open to ensure you get a parking space and a good table with a view. They also have a nice bar on the back right side of the building and activities deck just below the restaurant.

Went in September and it was not crowded at all. Beautiful day and around 91 degf. Our server was attentive and polite. I had the Highish sandwich with fries while my wife had the chips and queso with ground beef. She said it was really good, better than she's had before. The hog fish sandwich seemed fresh rich in flavors with aeoli, mushrooms, picked ginger. Very good. Their most popular. Great views. Worth the stop.

Hobo's Cafe is a laid-back and charming eatery located at 101691 Overseas Hwy in Key Largo, Florida. It has been serving patrons since 1991 and was named by National Geographic as one of the most authentic Keys eateries. The cafe offers a diverse menu featuring classic American dishes such as burgers, conch fritters, pancakes, omelets, and Key Lime pie.
A Hidden Gem – Hobo’s Cafe is a Must-Visit! Hobo’s Cafe completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, laid-back vibe that feels like a true Florida Keys experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel at home. The food? Absolutely delicious. Fresh seafood, generous portions, and plenty of options for everyone — whether you’re craving a juicy burger, crispy fish tacos, or a refreshing salad. Their Key Lime Pie is a must-try: creamy, tart, and the perfect end to the meal. I also appreciated the relaxed outdoor seating — great for enjoying the weather and people-watching. It’s casual, comfortable, and has that local charm you just can’t fake. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Whether it’s for lunch, dinner, or just drinks and dessert, Hobo’s Cafe hits all the right notes. Can’t wait to go back

Hobo’s, I’m a believer! How can one obscure little cafe in Islamorada get EVERYTHING right?! We hit the jackpot when our family decided to stop in for dinner. WOW! First, the food reminded me of my hometown, New Orleans. We experienced fresh seafood of every variety prepared in rich sauces, seasoned to perfection! Then there’s the wings! How can they have the BEST wings we’ve ever had? So much so we ordered another for our journey home! The service was impeccable! The food arrived timely and our table was visited several times during the meal to check on us! We visit the Keys regularly and Hobo’s will now and forever be our first and last stop! Thank you for getting it RIGHT! You are a rare breed!

I have been to Hobo’s twice now. Once for dinner and now for lunch. We arrived on a Friday at about 1:30 PM for lunch. It was packed. Apparently everyone knows how great their hog fish is. We ordered a grouper reuben and a hog fish special sandwich . Both were amazing and fresh. I got my sandwich with a side of dirty rice and I can’t say that it was fresh. We also got the waffle fries, which were delicious. Overall, we very much enjoyed the food and will return.

This place is a hidden gem. The service was fantastic. The inside area is nice, but. Star noisy. Not too bad though. The outside seating was very quiet and had a nice ambiance. The food…absolutely fantastic and considerable cheaper than some of the places hir with comparable, or even LESS delicious food that charge you just because you are in the keys or because you can see the ocean from your chair. There is no compromise for this place. Great food. Great service. Great prices. We will definitely be coming back here often. If you get the catch of the day, try key lime style, it’s to die for.

The service was fantastic. The portions were fantastic. The menu was extensive (so many options). Homemade. And the service was phenomenal. Sat at the bar and they were very attentive and informative of what to get. Buy their Key Lime Pie in a mason jar. Not traditional but incredible in its own right.

3rd time’s the charm! We’ve been to Hobo’s 3 times on our drive down to Key West and we look forward to it more and more each trip❤️ This time the Onion Ring Loaf stole the show! Menu says it feeds 2 people, but we think 4 people could easily share this crispy delight and be satisfied! We get the Fish Quesadilla each time and Hobo’s has consistently delivered a high quality ‘dilla! So meaty… So cheesey🤤 Waffle Fries with the Fish Sandwich are amazing - but the real star is that Key Lime Butter Sauce slathered on that I just want to bathe in🤤 You did it again, Hobo’s!!! We’ll be back for a 4th visit soon enough ❤️

Definitely make reservation if you want to have a better chance at having seating with shade, lesson learned. Very beautiful atmosphere and relaxing. Had a table right next to the water. Our waitress was perfect. Very attentive but not overly attentive. The food was really good, only downside it did taste like there was a little too much salt for us, but it could just be a preference thing. Overall, great place and would definitely suggest this place to others to try out.

What a beautiful, relaxing, "Keysey" restaurant and tiki bar! A must visit! I was here to be DJ&MC for a destination wedding in Islamorada at the southern end of the property, which is a beautiful location for weddings & events, and I arrived early as I always do. I had lunch here. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere, layout of the restaurant, views, vibe, etc. It was a Saturday, and there was also an enjoyable solo guitarist, Billy D, playing relaxing, soft rock throwbacks during lunch on a Saturday. The food was good, but service could've been much better and more attentive. Sometimes laid-back restaurants like this have similar issues. Still, I'd highly recommend you visit, and I'll definitely be back. It's a great not to be missed experience overall!

Our very favorite restaurant in The Keys...we always stop here at least once per visit. It is impossible to beat the atmosphere here...it's a true tropical paradise. Fabulous cocktails, dog friendly, beautiful views.

We enjoyed a perfect sunset at this restaurant. Our dinner was wonderful. We started with the crab cake. Our table had the pasta florentine, which was delicious with rich flavor, The snapper curry which was full of flavor and texture as well as the catch of the day the hogfish which was coconut encrusted. Dinner and service and ambiance were wonderful. Gift shop and experience with the manager was terrible, which ended up completely ruining our experience here. first we had to track someone down to even check us out. We picked out a simple 100% cotton t shirt and was charged $69 when the sign clearly stated $35. We were able to get a refund but the management was not apologetic about the price or could even tell us what the actual price of the t shirt was. In my experience in the retail and restaurant industry, standard practice would be to offer your guest the shirt for the price listed on the sign. Another great practice would be to clearly mark or tell the total before charging a customer. I was absolutely shocked and stunned at the price. Apparently it is a new item and the manager isn’t even clear on what the price should be. I won’t be coming back due to this and the attitude of the manager and hostess. The hostess whom I noticed earlier when I went to the restroom was sitting on the stool by the front watching videos with sound on. Please do not sell items in your gift shop if you can’t tell your customer the price. To put in perspective the sign also stated a long sleeve hooded tshirt was $65 so having a short sleeve tshirt this price makes zero logical sense!

Best meal of our whole US-trip! At first my daughter was a bit sceptical due to the relatively low 4.2 star average but I insisted on the sea views and boy, did they deliver above and beyond! The food was absolutely delicious, rich in flavors, taste composure on point, the vegetarian sushi rolls brought a super interesting mushroom variation and the peal&eat shrimp was perfect 👌 all together really, REALLY excellent! Sitting right on the beach was perfect, live music played when we arrived and our waiter Rolando was present at the perfect time, thank you to the whole Marker 88 team, this is what hospitality should be like! When next in Florida, I will go to the Keys just to return here!

We came in for dinner and to watch the sunset and had the best time. Such a beautiful and serene atmosphere with the most amazing views. The hostesses were welcoming and we had no wait. Our waitress was Leslie and she was awesome. She was very attentive and kind, we really enjoyed having her! The food was excellent. For starters we ordered the coconut shrimp and the crab cake. The flavors and portions were perfect for us. The crab cake only comes with one but it was plenty and absolutely perfect as well. For our entree we had the blackened mahi with lemon piccata sauce, rice, and vegetables and it was phenomenal. The flavors and the cook were outstanding. I also highly recommend the coconut pineapple margarita. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Love love this spot. Come for happy hour and sit by the bay. Must get: Gulf oysters. So fresh. Get at least a dozen Clam in a bucket. So fresh and tasty with white wine sauce SOLID: Conch fritters. Worth trying given that it's a big deal in keywest but it's decent. SKIP: Steamed mussels: we sent it back given that it was rubbery. Viognier by the glass was excellent.

We went to the happy hour a little bit early as this is very busy as a locals favorite. This was like a one day celebration of my birthday. Dave our bartender was great as he let us put in our orders for drinks a few minutes early I had dark and stormy rum drink with ginger beer and my husband tried a couple of draft beers. They have a full menu besides the happy hour menu. We have gone here many times. Love it! Fast friendly service. I love the beer steamed pink shrimp and husband loves their oysters. 10000/10 highly recommend and would come again! This place is absolutely wonderful! Quality food, service, and premium atmosphere! We had a large party of about 25 people with 14lbs of fresh fish to cook. We also had an hour delay due to personal issues… Not only did they have the best spot to sit a large party in a private section of the restaurant, but they were so kind to accommodate our late arrival with zero fuss. They had the best service and were in top of all the orders for such a large group. The waiter Danny was so even keeled through the chaos and had the best customer service I’ve experienced in years. The BYOC (bring your own catch) was reasonably priced and they will fry, blacken, and grill it up for you. It was absolutely delicious!! Also, they have some of the best oysters in town. Definitely get the garlic baked ones!! Can’t wait to come back!

Great food, great people awesome music and great atmosphere. We had conch chowder, 12 oysters, key lime pie and virgin rum runners. The best part is they welcomed our Weim Nala with a bowl of ice water and a treat on a very warm day. Thank you everyone! We will definitely be back.

We had a great time at Schooner Wharf Bar in Key West! We ordered a dozen oysters for $26 — they were huge, fresh, meaty, and absolutely delicious. We also tried two soups: the clam chowder and the conch chowder. The conch version had a spicy kick and a rich tomato base — definitely something unique. Although they were out of draft beer during our visit, the lively atmosphere more than made up for it. There was live music with guitars playing, which added a really nice touch. We came on a Sunday, and the place was packed — it’s clearly a popular spot. Service was a bit rushed and not very chatty, especially when we asked questions about the menu, but we understand it was a very busy night. Overall, the vibe was fun and the sea breeze made it even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend — great value for the quality!

The food wasn't great. I ordered the Jerk Chicken. It was pretty dry and nothing special. But my virgin Piña Colada was delicious. Nice and thick. The real highlight was the live music and atmosphere. After a long day in the sun, it felt so good to relax and vibe out. Ross Brown was performing when we were there, and he sounded amazing! I'd definitely come back just for drinks or a small bite, enjoy the music, and hang out with the mix of tourists and locals. For that alone, I'm giving this place 5 stars!

Both myself and my partner had dinner at Schooner Wharf bar whilst our visit to Key West. I had a burger my partner had mozzarella sticks which was really good. Service was good staff were super friendly. There was plenty to choose from their menu, they had live music which was good too. Location was good right on the marina close to gift shops etc. So if you visiting Key West and feel a hungry i highly recommend Schooner Wharf Bar. Thankyou from Steve and Jacqui from Fife April 2024.

This is a staple stop for a Key West visit. The musicians and food are always great! I’ve sat at tables and the bar, both have descent service! It’s a busy place - not a fast food restaurant. Come for the atmosphere and a fresh meal!

Schooner Wharf Bar was recommended to us by a local as an institution. Sure enough, real Key West vibes. Grab a drink, listen to the live band, and all the food we ordered was delicious.

A must if you’re in Key West and looking for a relaxed atmosphere with great food & live music. Located on the historic waterfront of downtown, this place boasts a large drink menu and plenty of yummy food options. They have a fun shop attached full of Schooner Wharf gear. We grabbed a table for a late lunch. The tables are first come first serve. If there’s one open, grab it! The service was quick. We ordered their burger with cheese and the blackened mahi sandwich. Both with a side of fries. The food was excellent & plentiful. Highly recommended for lunch/dinner or just drinks. Either way you won’t be disappointed.

Hungry Tarpon Restaurant is a casual seafood spot with an option to cook your own catch and a deck overlooking the bay illuminated by tiki torches. The restaurant offers fresh seafood and a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
Neat stop. Lots of little shops. The food was really amazing. You get a decent portion. The goats cheese, bacon and raspberry jelly sliders are great! Views of the ocean and bridge. WE HAD A GREAT service which is hard to come by. Also had a device that was delicious.
Tina S — Google review
The restaurant has a beautiful location right on the water, with a great attraction next door. It brings great crowds at peak times. Unfortunately the food is really not good. Their fried fish tastes like it was taken out of a grocery store breaded fish sticks section, the tacos had nothing to them but some cabbage, tomatoes and piece of fish that had nothing flavor to it. We are both fish lovers and neither of us could push ourselves to finish the meal. Even the fries were not good. Mind you, the ice tea was lacking flavor too. I tried adding sugar and lemon and nothing saved it. What this needs is a new chef and quickly. On top of that, you will see your waiter when you order and when you hunt them down to pay. Our drinks were not delivered and I finally got them after 15 min, after getting up and asking 3 waiters to get them. Not worth the time. There are many better organized and better meal quality options nearby.

Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed every bite of my sandwich. The views, the food and the service were fantastic. This place looks like a fun place in the evening. Wish we had time to stay around for dinner.
Henry L — Google review
Absolutely beautiful spot by the water and ships. If you choose to sit by the deck you can watch people feed the tarpon and usually there's some pelicans and other birds nearby. Hate to do this, but I will say the food is on the pricier side and sadly I found to be quite lackluster with exception of the lobster bisque. The drinks are much smaller than establishments with similar price points. I think we went to maybe 25 restaurants in the time we were in this area and this one has the longest wait and slowest service of all of them. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. Certainly they were short-staffed however not busy either.

Very cool vibe! Beautiful view. Got to feed the tarpons!! Had the shrimp and coconut shrimp and it was mediocre. Bit overpriced but island prices I guess. But I might recommend the happy hour boiled shrimp. Great value and tasty.

We tried that trailer trash bloody mary, made by the sweetest lady, super quick, you know? The mix was a bit weak, but the stuff on top was awesome, a good snack. Prices are kinda high, though. But the view and the vibe are what make this place worth it.

Breakfast at Robbie’s in Islamorada was a perfect Keys experience — waterfront views, hearty food, and warm service. I had eggs, home fries, sausage, and toast cooked exactly right, while my companion’s blueberry pancakes were fluffy and delicious — easily “the best in the Keys.” Fresh fruit on the side added a tropical touch. Our server, Jana, was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed with coffee refills and extras. Between the food, the setting, and her service, breakfast at Robbie’s is an easy 10/10.

I went to have lunch today with my mom, husband and son for my mom’s birthday and we had a great time! We got sat pretty quickly and Natalie was very sweet and attentive to us the entire time! She had great recommendations, The coconut shrimp was amazing and my husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich. My mother had a great time and it was a great atmosphere. The manager in the front was also very polite to us and the family :) The service was genuine and it was a great birthday lunch <3 :) thank you!

Alabama Jacks is a lively waterfront spot located in Key Largo, Florida. It's renowned for its delicious seafood, especially the conch fritters, and offers a breezy atmosphere with live music. Situated off the beaten path near the Welcome to the Florida Keys sign, this quirky fish shack is nestled within mangroves and provides a relaxed vibe right over the water.
A classic Florida Keys bar with a local flare that’s never been stamped out and thank goodness for that. Situated on the water with a view of the mangroves this place is off the beaten path or on the way somewhere depending on where you are in your life. We came here because we were jonesing for some conch and a cold beer. We ordered the conch fritter plate and the conch chowder. The conch fritter plate comes with two sides and neither disappointed, the potato salad was scrumptious, felt homemade. The macaroni salad was also delicious. Honestly, cannot complain about anything we had or experienced. Our waitress was lovely, the vibe was vibing, but I will say the mosquitoes were biting. They do provide off if you ask. So I did.

If you are looking for a dive type bar this is your place. But don't let the exterior fool you, the food is phenomenal. Served on Styrofoam and using plastic utensils this truly lets you know that this is a simple place to relax and kick back. Located right on the water with a view of boats, fish, birds, and mangroves. The license plates scattered throughout the joint really make it a cool spot. It took 5 trips to the Keys to find this place. So happy we veered off Hwy 1 to Card Sound Rd. A little scenic detour to get to Key Largo. I highly recommend it.

Stopped here due to recommendations from a local that worked at another restaurant. He said they have the best conch fritters around! They won the contest for the entire keys!!! He didn’t tell a story either! They were great. We also had the fish tacos and shrimp & crab spring rolls. We had everything to go to make sure we didn’t miss our flight! Love the scenery! Waitress was outstanding also!

This is a hidden gem! The service was great. My family and I were seated immediately and told we could choose anywhere. We sat by the water, which was very entertaining. The food was also a 10/10. My son got the combo meal with conch, Mac n cheese, fish sticks, and crap cakes. It did not disappoint. my husband and I both got blackened Mahi Mahi tacos - his on tortilla shells and mine as lettuce wrap. This is a great option if you are Gluten Free. And, they have plenty of other gluten options available. I also loved the decor there. You really need to see it for yourself! The prices were extremely affordable, the locals were wonderful, and the food was top notch. I highly, highly recommend stopping here!

Love to stop at Alabama Jacks on our way to Key West. Great service, food and Florida history. Try the conch fritters and chowder! They are amazing!
Darla S — Google review
The food was ok. I don’t know if it is always subpar or if it was just because we got there just before the kitchen closed (by accident, we didn’t know until we walked in as we didn’t google the hours or anything) I do plan on visiting again to give it a fair shot. The atmosphere though for being there when we were was laid back.
Tasha M — Google review
What a lousy experience. I am a former server, and a hospitality expert. Our server/waitress was mad because we bought our first round at the bar. Conch Fritters aren't what they used to be- though one can work to pick out the microscopic few pieces of conch amongst the mound of fish-flavored fried bread.... but it isn't worth it. The Crab Cakes have a slightly higher amount of actual fish meat, but not worth the price, either. Also I thought it was really unbelievable that the restaurant closes at 7:00, and at 6:15 they shut the music off on us while we were still eating, tonight, Nov 9, 2025. Then our waitress and the staff started cleaning up our table like you do when someone's gone, picking up the money and the receipts, while we were still sitting there! In addition, they tacked on a 20% tip for themselves that wasn't at all deserved. They did this to a group of 10 veterans. Many of the people had been there before, and wanted to share the good memories that they had had had in previous visits there, with new people. None of the people will ever come back. One couple got a grilled cheese sandwich to split, with some onion rings. One had a soft drink and one had a beer. With the tack-on on of 20%, the bill came to over $50. Shame on you. You just ruined a tradition for many people. No one could recommended the type of service or food that you served tonight. We won't be back. Someone forgot to consider the experience and food quality has to match the reputation.. perhaps your restaurant managers and owners should read the many disappointed reviews you're getting lately. Before it's too late. However it might be already.

Mary Ellen’s – Late-Night Comfort in Key West. If you're looking for a spot with good vibes and even better late-night food, Mary Ellen’s in Key West is where you need to be. My girlfriend and I were on the hunt for a bite to eat after a night of bar hopping, and after a few failed attempts to find an open kitchen, we found Mary Ellen’s—and thank goodness we did! Despite arriving as it started to pour, the staff quickly welcomed us inside while our food was being prepared. What we thought was just a kitchen turned out to be a cozy bar too, perfect for grabbing a drink while waiting for our food. Special shout-out to Jamison, the bartender, who kept the atmosphere lively and made sure we were taken care of. His friendly service really added to the experience. Now, the food—absolutely hit the spot! It was clear that the kitchen staff knows what they’re doing, and everything came out fresh and delicious. We were so satisfied with our meal that we couldn’t resist staying for more drinks and even a few celebratory shots! Overall, Mary Ellen’s saved the night with their late-night eats, welcoming service, and laid-back bar atmosphere. If you’re in Key West and in need of a place to grab a bite or a drink, especially after hours, this is the spot!

Great place off the beaten path to cool down and get a nice cold drink! They welcomed our 3 dogs gave them water and served us cold beer. We heard the bacon Mac n cheese and grilled cheese were great so we gave them a try. They both were good and filling. The best thing was the frozen Irish coffee with Oreos on top. If anything just go there for the frozen coffee!!!

We saw Mary Ellen’s featured on a video some folks did of a Key West pub crawl. This place is really awesome. From the minute you walk in you take in all of decor, the wall of beer cans, the lighting on the ceiling and all the eclectic artwork. It’s a really cool little spot. We had a couple of drinks and the grilled cheese is fantastic. We will be back.

This place is off on a side street from Duval. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We split a steak sandwich that was really good. The gave a frozen coffee drink that is a must get. We were here on 10/17/25.

It’s dark in the bar, so these pictures aren’t going to look great but this is a good spot to have some “munchies” food. I thought the wings were great. I eat wings more often than I’d like to admit and these are really good, wasn’t expecting to find that here as I know people talk mostly about the grilled cheese, which I didn’t try.
K J — Google review
We stopped here multiple times during our week in the keys - everytime we did the bartenders were super friendly and on point! The grilled cheese was one of the best I’ve ever had, fish tacos were amazing, pickle fries were perfect! Wish we had more time to try more food. We did music trivia (I’m assuming that’s what it would have been) one of the nights and it was pretty fun - it’s all off your phone which makes it very easy to participate when you want. The drinks were strong but that’s what we’re there for! Bloody Mary’s were money! The bad reviews on this place are stupid and I love the responses even more! Totally worth a stop!

If you don't have the Jerk Chicken Quesadilla, you are missing out. The best I've ever had. If you're not paying attention, you'll miss this gem off Duval. The service is fantastic. The food is great. And the prices are reasonable for a tourist island.

Tucked away within the Pier House grounds, the Chart Room Cocktail Lounge is a unique gem in Key West. This small, intimate bar was once a hotel room and holds a rich history within its walls. Peanut shells cover the floor, treasure maps adorn the ceiling, and wooden tables bear carved secrets from years past.
This is a great small dive bar, hidden away and has so much character! A historic fave of Jimmy Buffet, Shel Silverstein, Mel Fisher, and Hunter S Thompson (allegedly). 20 seats at most, so I mean small.

Legendary bar where the King of Key West played his first concert. Free hotdogs, peanuts, and popcorn. 🌭🥜🍿 Cool bartenders and great atmosphere. Hard to find but worth it.
Clay M — Google review
This is a must stop of you are a Jimmy Buffett fan! Very small place and seating is very limited. They offer free popcorn, peanuts and hot dogs for food. Great drinks and domestic beers with at least one craft choice on bottles. The place is a shrine to the characters of old Key West and of course where Jimmy got his start in 1971. Talk to the bartenders and they'll tell you great stories of the old days.

Cold drinks, (cool backstory) Jimmy Buffet hang out, hot dogs, peanuts and popcorn. Great dive bar. Little hard to find but well worth it.
Max W — Google review
I’m a Huge Jimmy Buffett fan so I was looking forward to stopping by the Chart room. Must tell you it was disappointing to say the least. Certainly a hole in the wall inside a hotel - hard to find. I’m sure when Buffett was hanging out here it was different. If you want to check it off your list of things to do Feel free to stop by, but don’t expect a friendly bartender to greet you when you walk in. Drink selections are limited to the Basics - more or less a tourist trap

Only in Key West. A dive bar with a resort built around it. Have not stayed at the Pier House Resort, but the Chart Room is definitely worth a visit. Very old school KW, surrounded by very new school KW. This is where Jimmy Buffett 1st stopped upon arriving in KW (allegedly) and played for the likes of Hunter S. Thompson and Jim Croce. This is where Mel Fisher charted his days searching for the shipwrecked Atocha (at the round table in the back). This is where Tennessee Williams and Truman Capote wet their whistle (but not at the same time). This is where the Pirate Who Looked at Forty Philip Clark tended bar. This is where David Allan Coe was inspired by poet Shel Silverstein. This is where famous and not-so-famous regulars have their ashes interred in the bar (seriously, look for the corks). Most of Key West's history is embellishments and outright BS, and this awesome bar fits right in.
Gainesvillain — Google review
It was a nice little bar! It was so packed we weren’t able to eat or drink anything. We just wanted to see where Jimmy Buffet liked to hang out! We will definitely revisit next time we visit Key West
Kimberly W — Google review
Still gave it a 5-star rating even though they don't serve food. They give away hot dogs popcorn and peanuts! Hot dogs are okay but don't plan on making a meal out of them. Real small and hard to find you have to actually go into the hotel area but it is open to the public! You can park there for free.

The restaurant boasts a funky setting in a shady backyard, offering classic cooking and flavors. It's one of the top 10 restaurants noted by Conde Nast Traveler, alongside other unique dining establishments in the area.
Blue Heaven is everything you want in a true Key West experience! I had the Florida Lobster Grilled Cheese and it was AMAZING—rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. The drinks at the bar were perfectly mixed and hit the spot. Live music and a relaxed island vibe made the whole experience even better, especially with the roosters and chickens casually roaming around—classic Key West charm! We loved it so much, we came back later that day just for a slice of their famous Key Lime Pie… and WOW. It’s a must-have—tangy, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved this place it was such a great time. So eclectic and cool. The key lime pie was delicious. My husband had the mahi sandwich which was juicy and flaky. I ate the shrimp and grits as well which was tasty. We went as a group and everyone of us enjoyed the food. The service was amazing. It was fun to have the chickens hanging outside while we ate. Super cute gift shop I bought a tile with chickens on it. They also let you bring your catch of the day and cook it for you which is really neat

Really neat and eclectic place to eat! The food was delicious, and albeit very expensive, you could tell they emphasized food quality and prioritized organic, local, and farm to table produce and food. Their key lime pie was also very delicious. There are free range chickens roaming around and live music playing. It’s loud, but definitely a really cool experience. I don’t think I’ve eaten at a place quite like it. It feels like a haven inside key west.

If you’re in Key West, Blue Heaven absolutely lives up to its name — it’s a little slice of paradise on a plate! We went for Sunday lunch while on vacation, and even though the place was super busy (we waited about 1 hour and 20 minutes), it was totally worth the wait. The vibe is pure Key West — open-air, al fresco dining, colorful decor, chickens wandering around, and live music adding to the laid-back island feel. I ordered the Surf and Turf Benedict, which features Filet Mignon and Lobster — and wow, it was phenomenally good. Perfectly cooked, rich, and absolutely unique. My friends’ dishes were just as amazing: the BLT Benedict (where the “L” stands for Lobster) and a Shrimp Omelette that was loaded and flavorful. Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying their famous Key Lime Pie, and it did not disappoint. Tangy, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet — easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Whether you’re a foodie or just want the quintessential Key West experience, Blue Heaven is a must-visit. I’d recommend it to anyone heading to the island — just go early, be patient, and enjoy the tropical atmosphere while you wait.

As always a fun and amazing place! Breakfast was amazing on a Saturday! My crew and I got there nice and early just a little after open and walked right in. Certainly filled shortly after. Still all good because they open the bar across the street to get your vitamin c on. Most of us got the Lobster grits and BLT Benedicts which were delicious! Service was amazing!

Low key but relaxing and cool outdoors setting. Great spot for breakfast and brunch probably for dinner too. Come early before 10am to escape the long wait line. The line gets so long they have a waiting area across the street, the size of a restaurant. The food does not disappoint but doesn’t wow either. The roosters trying to catch a chicken and flying over our table were a bit much for me, but people seemed to enjoy it.

Perfect Brunch Spot!! my friends, and I came here before our snorkeling adventure, we had to wait about 30 minutes before being seated, but it was so worth it! Our server was very nice and told us about all of the specials! The lobster omelette was a big hit at our table as well as the lobster Benedict! The lobster was so fresh and yummy!! let’s not forget the FAMOUS KEY LIME PIE! WOW!! 100/10! I’m usually not a Keylime pie person but the one at Blue Heaven definitely changed my mind!! I highly recommend coming here and checking it out! I can’t wait to bring my family here next time we come to visit!

Hogfish Bar & Grill is a lively seafood eatery located on Stock Island, just before Key West. It's known for its namesake hogfish sandwich, a Florida Keys delicacy that's relatively obscure in other parts of the U.S. The hogfish is a mild, delicate fish with a sweet flavor and flaky texture.
Absolutely cool shack serving great tasting food of all sorts, but with a focus on fresh fish. Had snapper with blackened shrimp, lobster, saffron flavoured cream sauce with rice, green beans and carrots. The fish was beautifully cooked. Daughter had fried calamari - fresh, delicious. Other daughter had the Vandenburger- also delicious. Key lime pie was not as good as my own. And I say that as a Brit! Server was very kind, attentive and polite- thank you.

Well, it's the place to go, so we went. Pretty common food joint in my opinion but others seem to love it. I don't personally like seafood, so that may have something to do with it. It was hot as Hades when we were there but there were plenty of fans going. Food was good and reasonably fair priced. Sunset was amazing from this viewpoint also. Good variety of food to choose from.
Jeffrey L — Google review
Great food, not so great service. We had the Stock Island Mixed Grill and the Shrimp Tacos, both were delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The place has a great local vibe and feels very authentic to the Keys. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the food. We were a large group and asked from the start if we could have separate checks. The waitress said they couldn’t split them but that we could each pay our part at the end. When the check came, it was all together, and we ended up having to split everything ourselves, not ideal after a big meal and a few beers. We totally understand that some restaurants don’t split checks, but usually they at least help process payments individually on the device, which makes it much easier for big groups. A little help from the waitress would have made a big difference.

We loved this restaurant. It looked at bit sketchy going to it but once you get there you will feel safe. The food was fantastic. The waitress was great at keeping us full with drinks. Nice view of the water. Music playing.

Al little off the beaten path but worth the effort ,mostly locals go here. The food is very good . We had conch chowder and hogfish sandwiches. The hog fish has a buttery taste and flaky texture. Bahamian chowder was thick like chili and good.

We did a pickup order from here and it was ready on time with all necessities to enjoy our meal. We really enjoyed the rice & beans. Lobster Mac was ok. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the sandwich because we left it out too long and wasn’t sure if it spoiled.

So on a recommendation we went in search of Hogfish Bar & Grill. It took a Google Maps search to find it, but we did. It was worth the search. We began with their Lobster Bisque. It was the best we have had... maybe ever. Full of lobster pieces and chunks, a mild favor of dry sherry, and not over powered by tomato paste. It was absolutely delightful. We, my lovely wife and I highly recommend it. And the bowl is enough for a couple to share as an appetizer or to feed a hungry sailor. Next, my wife chose the shrimp and chips basket. It came with only 6 shrimp, but they were not just large, but really big. A light crispy fried coating. The shrimp were plump and juicy. Perfectly cooked with a basket of fries, a cup of slaw and cocktail sauce. The shrimp were fresh and delicious. And the six were enough for a meal. The fries were crispy and the slaw were good. But the shrimp was amazingly delicious. I chose the special; the whole Florida Lobster stuffed with Lump Crab Meat. It was served with rice, a cream sauce for the rice, and the chef's steamed vegetables. This was beyond delicious. It was probably a 1 or 2 lb spiny lobster, cooked perfectly and stuffed with lump crab meat with out peppers, onions, unnecessary breadcrumbs, but hust lots of crab with some butter and a little Panco and nothing else. It was unforgettable. Served with melted butter which it really didn't need. The lobster was sweet and naturally buttery. Cooked perfectly. The rice with cream sauce was a perfect compliment with the steam veggies. We chose to eat by the water on the deck, which only added to the ambiance. This place, this food is worth the search. We have eaten in many of the Keys eateries, but Hogfish is the best.

Nice ambience with live music. Service was quick and friendly. Food came out fast too. Started with Lobster Bisque and Conch Soup. My whole Fish was great! Hogfish stuffed with Crab Meat with Cream Sauce was nice. Yellow rice and Beans taste good. A must stop for perfectly cooked fresh Fish in the island!

Snappers Oceanfront Restaurant & Bar in Key Largo offers a laid-back waterfront setting with a tiki bar, live music, and happy hour. The restaurant is known for its delicious seafood and vibrant atmosphere, featuring three on-site bars, weekly parties, and frequent events. Whether you're enjoying Gator Bites or freshly shucked oysters, the place exudes Florida Keys vibes.
We came here on a whim and I’m so glad that we did. The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant, and being right by the water makes for such a beautiful dining experience—the views are stunning! One of the best parts of the night was meeting the executive chef. He came out to greet us and was incredibly friendly—by the end of the evening, it felt like we were part of the family! He mentioned a few dishes on the menu that he personally created, and of course we had to try them—they did not disappoint. My kids are still talking about the fried Oreos for dessert—they were a huge hit! Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we’re already looking forward to going back.

We sat outside by the water as the weather was beautiful which accompanied our visit and delicious meal. From the moment we sat down, David our server, was attentive and courteous. He brought our drinks, appetizers and meal with a smile. Shout out to the amazing executive chef Steve! He spoke to some of the guests and treated us like family. The food was delicious and great portion sizes. We will definitely visit again. You should stop by too!

We visited here during the week at around 1PM to have lunch. The place was moderate ly busy, but we were still able to be seated quickly, even getting to opportunity to choose our table if preference. The service was great and the food was fresh and delicious! The atmosphere was amazing, sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and the view of ocean. I'm definitely going back there the next time I'm in Key Largo.

The location is just perfect! The service though is really lacking. Took a while to even be seen by the hostess then they continued a conversation with an en employee. Once we were seated the waitress was nice. It took forever to get food though and she started to not come back to check on us. The food was good. The jambalaya is to die for! The lack of key west pinks as a shrimp option was disappointing. When you are charging that much for a fried shrimp basket I would expect to have something other than farm raised frozen shrimp.
Ashley N — Google review
An absolutely amazing dining experience! The food was incredible, with the lobster mac and cheese and the HUGE shrimp burger being must-try standouts all worth the price. The location is perfect for families, sitting right by the water with an amazing view, you can even rent jet skis! To top it all off, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was fantastic, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the head chef Steve, who was super accommodating and ensured all our needs were met. Highly recommend!

Lovely way to spend an evening in Key Largo! Erlan was a fantastic server and the atmosphere is great. I had the coconut shrimp and husband had the cheeseburger and LOVED it! Come and enjoy!

We came all the way from Atlanta and seattle and tell me why David, Gave us such great service provided us with menu details and recommendations! Then Stebe The sous chef came out and totally gave us amazing hospitality, and recommended fish Preferences since they were out of hog fish, but we did get a hot fish, a triple fish, and a yellowtail hands-down, the mahi-mahi bites and everything was great! They recommended a Keylime pie, which was the perfect tart and sweetness! My family…. Satisfying in a full Of deliciousness in the ballet, I would recommend this place!, Especially since we had a 2 Hour Dr., they turned into a 3 1/2 hour drive. Thank you, snapper and thank you David and Steve!!! From full and satisfied belly!

Really enjoyed this very "Keysey" waterfront dining experience! I was working nearby as a Wedding DJ in Key Largo/Tavernier , for a destination wedding, and sooo glad I stopped in! Let's start with the relaxing views and vibe, which are not to be missed. Then there was the warm, friendly service courtesy of Amanda & Katy, which adds to the experience. Even met Chef Floyd who was caf! Lol If you're in a hurry, this is not the best choice, as it's really laid back and relaxed, and service can be slow, yet it's a "so what" typa thing. Come and relax. Food was really tasty. I had the Mahi sandwich on very tasty home made multi grain bread (although menu said it was whole wheat). Fries were golden brown and cooked to perfection. Second visit had tasty Mahi Bites and the dipping sauce made it even tastier! Had a side of tostones which were also tasty, golden brown and crunchy! There's live entertainment 7 nights a week and they add daytime entertainment on weekends as well. Highly recommend! Come, relax, and enjoy!! It's a lil off the main road and easy to miss, but don't miss it!

Nestled in Marathon's local maritime setting at Mile Marker 48, this second-story tavern overlooks Boot Key Harbor's anchorage. The Chiki Tiki Bar and Grille provides reasonably priced food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere that captures the authentic waterfront vibe missed by many tourists who stick to the main highway.
Delicious food, great service! We had the Mahi, and shrimp sandwich and shared a fry. The fries are huge! Also yummy?!! Fried key lime pie?!! What tasty food all around.

Staff were friendly and attentive, bringing our pup a water bowl with our drinks! The fries meet the hype, so tasty. If you’re hesitant, just try them. They had great beer options in can and bottle (featuring many keys based breweries, which is cool to see local) but the biggest downside to this place is not having beer on tap.

We chose this restaurant for our daughter’s 16th birthday and we had an amazing experience. We arrived around 6p and were seated immediately and though the seating is outside, it is covered and cool with a breeze off the water! Our party of 5 got four bacon cheeseburgers (delicious and good size) and my youngest got chicken fingers. We had to try their famous French fries and hush puppies which everyone enjoyed. The service was amazing and the owner was truly invested in making sure we had a great experience. They surprised my daughter with a slice of their Key Lime Pie (made in house) and then their fried key lime pie! We are already planning our next visit before we leave town. Thanks Burdines!

This place was such a good experience. My husband and I so enjoyed our food. I had the mahi sandwich which was phenomenal and so reasonably priced. I couldn’t believe how quickly they brought the food out it was amazing service. We also spotted a manatee while we were eating. This is a great place for the vibes. Would totally return!

We came to Burdines Waterfront on a whim, and The food was honestly incredible. Our server Emerson was so kind and attentive. Every recommendation he made was spot-on, and the Key Lime Pie was hands down the best I’ve ever had in the Keys (and I’ve tried quite a few). This place will definitely be a staple for us every time we come back to the Keys. Thank you so much for the great service and even better food!

The food and the service were top tier! Waiter was a very friendly & attentive gentleman. This seafood here blows anything else out of the water! A friend of ours recommended Burdines for great burgers. It did not disappoint. The burgers were outstanding, the fries were next level of goodness. Our server was Allen. He was very attentive and funny. The view of the canal was peaceful. We were hoping to spot some marine life but didn’t. We ended our meal with the best key lime pie ever. When we come back to the keys, we will be coming back here for sure.

Sparky's Landing - Fish n Cocktails is a popular waterside hangout in Key Colony Beach, known for its young and vibrant atmosphere that attracts locals and tourists alike. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring fresh seafood dishes like West Coast Style Fish Tacos and wood-fired Shrimp & Bacon Pizza, as well as unique cocktails. Situated on a harbor, it provides a quintessential Florida Keys dining experience with occasional entertainment from anglers hooking something from the deck.
We had an unforgettable experience at Sparky’s Landing – Fish n Cocktails! The atmosphere was fun and lively, perfect for unwinding after a great day on the water. The food was absolutely amazing — everything we ordered was packed with flavor, especially the brick oven pizza, which had the perfect crispy crust and bold, delicious toppings. What made it even more special was that we brought in our fresh catch from a fishing trip, and the kitchen prepared it to perfection — fried golden with an incredible homemade tartar sauce that was out of this world. It doesn’t get fresher than that! Great service, excellent drinks, and some of the best food in the Keys. Highly recommend Sparky’s for anyone visiting Marathon. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely an amazing experience! Went here last night for our final dinner of our keys trip this year. Our server was great, and so was the food! 3 of our 5 meals were different tuna dishes - all were delicious! We also had a blackened grouper plate and a pizza - so good! Safe to say this place is going on the rotation for our group when we come to Marathon!

Really cool place to eat. The conch fritters were so fresh and the seafood was good quality. The staff was so friendly! The view is beautiful out onto the water and the ventilation is good with the fans so the heat didn’t feel too stifling. Kind staff and a great atmosphere. Would recommend!

Overall great experience! Plenty of parking, great atmosphere, food and drinks. Bartenders Jordan was amazing! The ahi tuna, wood fired pizza and Bloody Mary (homemade mix) were awesome. Alonzo's Oyster Bar is a laid-back waterfront restaurant located in Key West, offering a seafood-centric menu and a full bar with daily happy hour specials. Situated beneath the more formal A&B Lobster House, this casual eatery boasts one of the best happy hours in town, featuring half-priced drinks and a wide selection of discounted menu items from 4:00-6:30 PM daily.
A friend and I went for dinner here while on a trip to the Keys; We were fortunate to have Brooke as our server, she was fantastic, fun, made great conversation. Frequent stops were made to check on our food and drinks as well as some great suggestions for us to try. We had a few different fresh oysters, the hogfish, and lobster mac and cheese. All of our food was fresh and delicious, the drinks also did not disappoint. I will definitely be back.

This is a nice spot for seafood dinner. The oysters are reasonably priced, and I really enjoyed the combination with black caviar. You can choose to sit either inside or outside, and the place is usually quite busy. I wouldn’t call it a full restaurant, more like a cozy cafe.

We had a good time at Alonzo’s … just into Key West, walking the Key West Bight harbor area, watched the tarpon feeding out front, and viola, it’s happy hour! Cocktails good, oysters good, mussels a bit spicy but good. Staff friendly and great! Fun place to stop for a cocktail, time it for the 4:00pm tarpon feeding! Recommend Alonzo’s!

We stopped in at Alonzo's to take a break from the sun. Nicole was are bartender and made the best key lime pie martinis we've ever had. Bar/restaurant itself is classy, clean & comfortable. Happy to see gluten free options on the menu, we look forward to returning for food and cocktails. Cheers 🍸

Great oysters including the sides. Sean the server is beyond exceptional. But the selling point - the mussels I've never had mussles this good. Perfect spice, tomato base only without wine or overpowering other stuff.. I'm trying to buy the recipe from the waiter

Wahoo's is a great seafood restaurant located in Islamorada with tables outside overlooking the marina. They serve fresh, locally caught seafood dishes like wings, calamari, crab cakes and oysters on the half shell. The menu also includes churrasco steak sandwiches and burgers as well as shrimp po'boys and lobster tail. There are also several types of fish available including flat iron steak. Dessert lovers can enjoy key lime pie or orange cake.
Stopped in at Wahoo’s Seafood Bar & Grill while exploring Islamorada and was happy we did. We grabbed a table on the upper deck and the view alone is worth the visit—panoramic with boats gliding by, and a perfect breeze. The food and drinks were great so no complaints there. The service was friendly but a bit slow. Would happily return for the view alone.

Neat place to walk around the docks and great photo-op out back! Beautiful view, great, relaxed atmosphere. We were seated immediately (just two of us), but there’s plenty of seating indoors and out. Service was great- prompt but not rushed at all. I had the Mahi tacos and my husband had the burger with egg. I had the cracked conch for an app (very tasty). As soon as I came in the place was just vibrant very cool out of all the places in the area something drew us here and as Google reviewers throughout the world, we’ve seen lots of places we’ve had lots of seafood and many many different countries and all across the USA we have 9 million views on our pictures and reviews i’m telling you right now this place is a real gym. Special thanks to Brian and team. My wife is still smiling and talking about the grouper. She said it was the best fish she ever had and I couldn’t agree. More Keylime grouper is the hit. Now let me tell you about the drinks, Laura Jesus, the Keylime martini and The Keylime piña colada was awesome. We absolutely left the place with a smile. The dude was so cool. They gave us the best Keylime pie ever ahead of my life and you’ll see it in the pictures. This is a very detailed review with pictures videos at 4K and the view was astonishing will be back Brian and team.

****If You’re Comparing Restaurants to Go to, TRUST THIS CHEF, CHOOSE HERE EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!**** Back Home In Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, I’m a well known Award Winning Chef who’s Been on the different networks, News programs, and cooked for more celebrities / special events than I can count, Let me tell You, As a Chef and food blogger, the food Here is a Foodies Dream, especially for someone who lives on the farm and Always says “Cook where You’re from” people think we have “good” seafood restaurants up Home, we have nothing that compares to Wahoo’s, We’re not sea fairing people, We’re livestock, land, meat and potatoes people, If you get fish, it’s frozen, I’ve never had Fish taste as clean, as fresh, or as enjoyable as this!!!! The blackened grouper was Unreal on the mango crab salad!!!! My better half had the Wahoo scampi, It was also great, The Shrimp were the best He’s ever had, the General manager was super caring about your experience, He stopped by the tables and checked on His guests, The Server Fernando was off the charts in Terms of exceptionalism, As a former award winning restaurant owner, I can tell you any business owner would be thrilled to have someone with even half the capacity and kindness that Fernando has, He’s a truly spectacular guy who’s dedicated to customer service, I really appreciated all his care for us and his Hard work You’ll be in for an incredible experience if you ask for his section, the view is outstanding, from anywhere inside, or outside of the restaurant, you have got to try the fried grouper bites appetizer, pretty much every single table I saw in the restaurant had one of those, the mango crab salad, and Key Lime Pies on it at some point throughout their meal, so, I’m imagining that’s what everyone loves, what the locals know about, and what makes everyone want to come back for more having plates like these you can’t get anywhere else!!!! I will return to Pennsylvania With some truly incredible memories of My time down in the Keys, I’ve tried a lot of different restaurants, in a town where you basically can’t get out the door anywhere for coffee and a Bagel or fruit and granola without spending fifty dollars, let me tell You, Wahoo’s was super affordable and their Plates were generous, Trust me, I’ve never said this before on any of my reviews, but even as an award-winning chef, I grew up and my mother was a chef at a diner who any time anyone mentions it They say “Oh, I Loooooooooooove their pie” I know great pie, I can honestly tell you all Never in my life have I ever had Pie out at any other restaurant where I’ve had Pie as good as Wahoo’s Key Like Pie, and even if you’re stuffed to the gills (pun intended!!!!) after your meal, You must get a piece (or a whole pie!!!!, as long as you don’t cut it, it’s still technically one piece!!!!) for the road, THANK YOU WAHOO’S For such a memorable experience, I will be posting about, tagging, and sharing all your food and my review on my Facebook page and hope every single person Here who’s reading reviews trying to decide where to go, chooses Here first every single time, It’s UNBELIEVABLE!!!! -Chef Dan Lancaster County, PA

Amazing food and service. We have been twice while on vacation in the Keys. Their fish of the day served blackened with tropical salsa is to die for. We have also tried the fish tacos, smash burger, and coconut shrimp and they were all delicious. We will always stop in when we are in Key Largo!

Mediocre would be my overall experience having dinner at La Trattoria. While we did not have a reservation, we were seated right away. Our waiter was good and came by often. The atmosphere was nice but not overly inviting. Our meals were OK but nothing to get excited about. The Chicken Saltimbocca was not that flavorful and the portion was a bit small. Overall our experience and meals were “acceptable”.

Very good Italian food right on Duval Street. We sat at a cozy table for two a short distance from the bar. No problem with noise. The wine and both our meals were very good. Our waitress was friendly and always available, she kept our waters full and was quick to clean our table and take our orders. We never had to look for her. The food was very good and reasonably priced. There were many menu choices and with a happy hour menu. It started to rain and we needed to move and they were quick to accommodate us to another table. We were lucky that it was not crowded. There was plenty of outside parking. The atmosphere was very casual with a view of the marina and with a nice breeze. Sunset Pier is a vibrant and colorful dockside seafood eatery located at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa in Key West. It offers stunning water views, live music, and a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying mouth-watering tropical cuisines and drinks directly on the pier. The pier is known for serving Key West seafood classics like conch fritters and crab cakes, as well as Cuban cuisine.
This Sunset pier is an absolute amazing spot to see the sunset. There are lots of restaurants, musicians, artists, local museums, Hotels, boats of all kinds from small sailing boats to huge cruise ships. and much more. The food is excellent and the service is fantastic. Anywhere in Key West is great. The beaches are beautiful and clean. The people are very friendly and welcoming. Chickens are running wild everywhere you Look. Hundreds of people come to the Keys every year. Parking is not free you have to park everywhere you go. Handicap parking is free for 4 hours in a handicap parking area. Of course you are only 100 miles away from Cuba. There are so many different ethnicities all over the Keys. The night life is a big attraction with lots of bars and places to dance. The history of the Keys is interesting as well. The fishing is great too. The water is so clear and blue. This is absolutely a must see location. I highly recommend this place!

The Sunset Pier restaurant is located on the oceanfront with a beautiful view. We ordered shrimp and a lobster roll, which turned out to be a hit, very good. You can enjoy both the view and the excellent food. I highly recommend it.

Great little spot on the waters edge. Awesome views all around..service was good, though they were busier than usual our server did an excellent job staying on top of everything and was polite and friendly. The Lobster Rolls were excellent and fabulous key lime pie (cheesecake esque). Only complaint would be the bizarre location and walk to the bathrooms. But I recommend this spot for drinks, food and live music.

One of the best places to hang on Key West. Incredible views of the water and passing boats, usually live music on the stage, TVs, vibrant colors, fans to keep cool, feels like paradise! We loved sitting at the bar but also walking up and down the pier near the water on the path. It could almost seem like a hidden gem with less of a crowd than Duval! Bartending service was great as were the drinks, snacks, and memories!

So, I was fortunate enough to be in Key West for a few days and stopped by the Sunset Pier while I was there. My lady and I enjoyed our time. There was a band playing some soulful old school music. The food and the service were great. And the view! Watching the sunset while listening to good live music, enjoying good food and drinks with my lady. It'll be hard to find a better way to spend an evening. Hopefully I'll find myself back in Key West before too long and when I do, I'll be looking to revisit.

The view from here is absolutely amazing. It was a bit hot, so I had a cold drink next to a big fan to cool down. It was an awkward time to visit, so I didn't order any food. But it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the lovely sea views in a really chilled-out atmosphere. I'd definitely like to try the food next time I get a chance to visit. Anyway, I'd highly recommend it. It's an absolute must-see.
Maki P — Google review
Meh. The burger was OK. My husband got the tuna poke bowl and the rice was an overcooked glob of mush. Ruined the whole dish. The rest of the poke bowl was bland and flavorless. Not worth the money. The view was great. We went mid-afternoon, no wait.
Lacy L — Google review
My wife and I visit the Sunset Pier every year (for the past 20 years) on at least evening during our annual Florida Keys vacation because it's literally the best place to watch the sunset and have a cocktail at the same time. We've occasionally eaten at the bar here (for lunch), but the food is not really the major attraction, because there are so many other places with better food on the island. It's the view and the atmosphere that is the hallmark of this place. It's changed somewhat over the years, and we noted on this visit they'd set up a pretty large band stand for live music acts. On our most recent visit (July 18, 2025) they had a great three piece band that played hits from the 60-80s. A few hits into the start of their sunset show, this older Black man who looked to be in his late 70s or early 80s (who the other band members called "The Soul Man") shows up in electric wheel chair and started singing like he was Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cook, or Otis Redding reincarnated. We weren't even sure if he was a local "amateur" or a full-time member of the traveling band. He had an incredible voice and we stayed for several hours listening to him. During New Years Eve, they usually close the pier off for a gala event that they charge steep prices for, but all other times we've been here its always been open to everyone on a first come first serve basis. If you do plan to dine here, then I'd recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before sunset to ensure you get a rail-side table with an unobstructed view of the harbor. If the weather is sunny, you will probably wear out your camera taking 100s of pictures of the sunset and all of the beautiful old schooners that sail up and down the harbor during this magical time of the day when the color of the sky changes so dramatically in a 90 minute period.

Boasting an ideal location for sailors, it provides coordinates for easy access and even offers a Hook and Cook menu category where guests can have their own catch prepared to their liking.
What a great find! This restaurant is easy to get to with plenty of parking, and the views are lovely. The service was very friendly and attentive. Most importantly, the food was excellent. The fish, in particular, was awesome and cooked to perfection. It all made for a wonderful dining experience that we’d highly recommend.

Good solid meal. The conch soup was tasty and kids loved the steaks. The inside seating is tiny so the netted area was best, rather than the full outside seating. The marina provided a nice backdrop. Pretty good place.

We absolutely love this restaurant. The homemade chips are a must, and anything Bert’s is to die for. Food for the soul, and the seafood pasta is so delicious and I always have left overs because the portions are not stingy. For drinks the Smashed Buzzard is my all time favorite and just 3 of these have me feeling Naughty. I never steer anyone wrong when it comes to food, because I’m a fatty at heart. I know good food, trust me.

Delicious 🤤 conch fritters! The blackened chicken with avocado and bacon was really good. Must try the fried grouper sandwich. The seafood sampler with mahi mahi scallops and shrimp! Great atmosphere, good vibes, cool breezes and live music. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves here. Service was great as were the drinks! Do yourself a favor and order the Ahi Tuna Nachos...so frigging good! I ordered them raw and the taste and consistency was on par with a 1 star Michelin restaurant. They really are that good!

The atmosphere was ABSOLUTELY Fantastic. It was fun and family-friendly. The decor was extremely well decorated. The seared ahi tuna nachos were the Star of the meal. The reuben grouper was really enjoyable. The mahi tacos were top-notch and blackened fried chicken sandwich was well seasoned. The customer service could have been better. The server was the only person covering the indoor seating and did not seem to have a lot of assistance. However the overall experience was fun and really good stop if you are in the area.

Great atmosphere and even better food. Our table got the grouper Reuben, mahi sandwich, and the tuna tacos and everything was phenomenal. The tuna tacos were the best I’ve ever had & the grouper Reuben was delicious! There’s a long pier that you can walk out on to look in the water as well. Bathrooms are spotless. Highly recommend!
Jenn S — Google review
While the atmosphere is great the food was lackluster. Being in the Keys, surrounded by fresh seafood, you served frozen trucked in foods. My seared tuna nachos($24)were the only highlight with a good flavor combination. But $16 for frozen coconut shrimp and $15 for frozen calamari. And it’s not hard to freshly batter some shrimp and calamari and toss it in a fryer - seriously - what a disappointment. Kids chicken tenders with sweet potato fries $14. $69 total for a mostly frozen dinner.

Pierre’s is where island charm meets upscale dining—with one of the best sunset views in all of the Florida Keys. The setting is absolutely dreamy: a colonial-style beach house surrounded by swaying palms, with cozy porch seating that lets you watch the sun melt into the water. The food? Elegant and inspired. We loved the tender lamb, perfectly cooked sea bass, and rich, flavorful sauces that brought every dish to life. Craft cocktails and wine pairings were spot on. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to feel like royalty for a night, Pierre’s delivers an unforgettable experience. Come for the view, stay for the flavor, and don’t forget to linger with a drink on the sand afterward.

We walked in by chance, hoping for a walk-in table seating. We were given an indoor seating , which was fine, since we had spent all day on the water. The interior was lovely with authentic antiques throughout. The service was impeccable. The food outstanding. Gabriella our server and restaurant Manager went above and beyond to make our dining experience something to remember. Included are a few pictures from our burrata salad, black grouper, and Keylime pie. The views were spectacular from the second floor. Although we were inside, we saw an amazing sunset. Highly recommend as a fine dining option in Islamorada.

HIDDEN GEM!!! The food was so good and the decor was so romantic. Me and my family had a tough few days at a hotel near by and needed good food. This place hit the spot instantly. We got a salad that tasted so fresh and smelled like a garden. I am originally from New York and was not expecting food like this. The chicken was amazing as well. Dante's Pool Bar and Grill is a fantastic spot for both partying and relaxing! On weekends, enjoy a lively atmosphere with a live DJ, great drinks, and tasty food by the large pool. During weekdays, it’s a family-friendly place to chill. The pool area has free lounge chairs for sunbathing, shaded spots, two bars, and plenty of tables for dining. Conveniently, there’s a parking garage right next door on Grinnel St for $5/hour. Highly recommend!

If you're in Key West and looking for a place to get out of the heat and humidity, Dante's is a solid option. We went and there was no cover fee to get in, though locals mentioned that during busier seasons or for events, a charge can sometimes apply. My advice would be to arrive when they first open so you can secure a lounger, as it can get pretty packed out. Dante's features a large pool in the center of the area. There's a sailfish water fountain and a waterfall that goes over rocks in the background. While there is a good amount of seating, much of it with shade, getting there early is key to getting a good spot, especially during busier times. It's a good setup for relaxing and staying cool. The food we ordered was good. We tried the Bang Bang Shrimp, the Ceviche, and the Conch Fritters. Our waitress was Lexi, and she was very busy, running drinks to everyone and keeping up with orders throughout our visit. She clearly worked hard to make sure guests had their food and drinks. They had a DJ playing music, and the restrooms, located upstairs, were clean. If the heat and humidity in Key West are getting to you, Dante's provides a comfortable place to spend some time and stay cool.
Nathan M — Google review
Dante’s was incredible! We brought in the fish we caught on the Cora Beth fishing tour and for only $12.50 per person they cooked it up—half fried and half blackened. Hands down the best fish I’ve ever had, and the blackened seasoning was out of this world. Huge compliments to the chef! The poolside atmosphere made it even better—laid back, fun, and perfect for enjoying fresh fish in Key West. We’ll definitely be back soon!
C H — Google review
This place was super fun! Waitress was very rude, though. I sat my things down by the pool and instead of “Welcome in! I’ll be your server.” It was immediately “you have to start a tab to sit here”- literally no hello or anything just attitude right off the bat. Decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was having a bad day. Will give them another try, but hope the service is better next time.
Rachel L — Google review
It's July in Key West, which means its hot, like hot hot. We stayed on Duval so we walked everywhere in the sun, yikes. My daughter is the one who discovered Dante's and suggested we go there and enjoy the pool. Upon walking in to Dante's, it immediately felt like a oasis in the middle of all the surrounding concrete and buildings. There is no cover charge or entry fee to visit Dante's. All you need to do is just enjoy some libations munchies from the bar area. The pool is filled with crystal clear water and is so inviting, and there are cascading waterfalls flowing over a series of cliffs right into the pool, creating a tropical backdrop. The entire oasis is surrounded by Tiki bars, chaise lounges, and lounge dining with umbrellas overhead to keep you cool while eating and drinking. The moment we sat, a very friendly server came over and took our drink orders, there were so many to choose from. The drinks and eats: We went for Key West Lemonade(vodka & pink lemonade) and the Poolside Daydream(mango, coconut, pineapple, guava, rums, mixed with tropical fruit juices). Both of the drinks were delicious and refreshing, but the Poolside Daydream, really hit the spot (several times, lol). For the eats, we had hot pretzel bites, super nachos, and the chicken tenders. Your typical bar fare, but very good and satisfying. We stayed for a few hours, enjoying the pool, floating games, having some drink and eats, and just chilling and relaxing at the oasis we call Dante's.

We took our freshly caught mahi mahi to Dante's and they prepared it for us. The fish was perfect as well as the coleslaw and fries. Our waitress was wonderful and did a great job taking care of us. We had such a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Dante's to everyone.

Beautiful pool and atmosphere. You can walk up or park a boat. There are multiple bars and tables that surround the pool. Menu had a variety of choices. The Cobb salad was very large and had a good amount of everything in it. The key lime marinated chicken sandwich was good but nothing special, fries were a little over cook and soggy. Service was sub par however it was busy. They do check id's and bag on arrival which made it feel safe considering anyone can just park a boat and walk up. They had a dj which made this spot the place to be yesterday afternoon.

Fat Tuesday Key West on Duval St is a New Orleans-inspired chain bar known for its lively atmosphere and strong frozen daiquiris. During the day, it offers mellow reggae music and non-alcoholic versions of their famous drinks. At night, it transforms into a club scene with a younger crowd dancing the night away. It's a popular spot to meet up with friends or make new ones while enjoying delicious libations in one of the best bars in Key West.
It was packed! Wanted something cool to quench my thirst on this 96 degree weather lol They had so many flavors to choose from it was hard to make a decision on what I wanted to drink lol. I ended up getting the orange flavor and a jello shot! Wasn't too bad! I definitely gotta buzz lol I can just imagine if you drank 2 or 3 of them. But in the heat... drinking a lot isn't good, so I was cool with my one. But I enjoyed my drink very much! Nice daiquiri bar, I must say!! Great fast service, too! Highly recommend!

Very refreshing iced cocktails, especially on a hot day and evening. We really enjoyed our drinks and would happily return. Just know a lot of coupons will be valid for this branch rather than the one at the front. The venue is very nice and is clean. Loud music plays in the evenings so do not expect to relax. Overall a good experience.

I saw someone walking along Duval Street with a daiquiri in hand and got all excited. Turned around to see that a Fat Tuesday restaurant was right in front of me! I first discovered FT while in Tempe, AZ a few months ago. ATMOSPHERE: Unfortunately it's open-air so there was no relief from the 100% humidity sans for the misters spraying folks that walked in. Loud music and a mixed age group made it fun. BEVERAGE: Dreamsicle It was a good thing I ordered a small as I had a real nice buzz at the end. Thank you, everclear! I didn't know you could walk around with your alcohol beverage in hand!? Or was I illegal? Tasted like a blended popsicle with booze. SERVICE: Bartender service was fast and friendly. TIP: Try the Alligator Nuggs. Texture is like a fish and chicken had a baby. OVERALL: My new favorite chain restaurant that I wish would open in Hawaii.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to mainline gasoline in slushy form, welcome to Fat Tuesday Key West. The 190 Octane (153 proof grain alcohol + orange punch) is basically jet fuel with a citrus twist — I’m 90% sure my rental scooter ran better after I spilled some on it. The flavors here range from “fun beach vacation” (Piña Colada) to “pray for my liver” (Cat 5 Hurricane) to “this is how Florida Man is born” (Mardi Gras Mash with bourbon + triple sec). You can even get a 128oz gallon to go — because nothing says “responsible tourist” like walking down Duval Street with a jug of neon alcohol that could double as antifreeze. I got the Souvenir Squeeze Bottle thinking it was cute. Turns out, it’s basically a lifetime commitment — you’ll be refilling it until your doctor writes you a letter. Also, big respect to the Skinny Watermelon Daiquiri: same 153-proof grain alcohol, just “half the calories.” Because obviously the calories were the dangerous part. By the time I mixed 190 Octane Blue Raspberry with Mango Tango and topped it with Spicy Margarita, I’m pretty sure I accidentally discovered the cure for jet lag — or possibly astral projected into Jimmy Buffett’s backyard. Pro tip: Hydrate, wear sunglasses, and maybe text your mom before your third refill, because after that it’s anybody’s guess what your night (or your Instagram stories) will look like. Would I come back? Yes. Should you? Only if your insurance is paid up. 🍹🌴 #FrozenDecisions #DuvalStreetScience

It’s 20 to Quetion‘s nearby ones bigger with way more choices. The other is like a stop and go for the cruise ship goers the bigger one has better five it has lots of seating parking in the area is atrocious, so good luck with that I had a golf cart and he’ll find parking anywhere. The drinks are good. I wouldn’t say that you’re going to get wasted off of them but if you need to cool down, it’s a great choice.

Been to other Fat Tuesday locations like Las Vegas. They don’t offer the massive drinks like they do out there, but you can still get plenty here though. They hit harder than I expected too, while yet being very flavorful. Solid quality frozen daiquiris from this chain. The area is fun, outdoors, has TVs, and a pool table available to play.

I assume they aren’t used to a Michigan ID but we were on vacation as many people are in KEY WEST. We told them take them then and the cops can come tell you they’re real and we’ll wait but then they refused to confiscate the ID’s they seemed so sure to be fake. Essentially kicked out with real ID’s😂😂

Nestled behind The Hammocks Resort, Barnacle Barney's Tiki Bar and Grill is a charming waterfront retreat that promises a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding. With its outdoor seating offering stunning sunset views over the water, this hidden gem serves up an enticing menu of seafood and pub favorites alongside refreshing draft brews and cocktails. Open from 8 a.m., it’s ideal for both lunch and dinner, making it easy to enjoy delicious meals throughout the day.
We stayed at The Hammocks BlueGreen 4 nights and ate Barnacle Barney’s 3 times. Each food item ordered was right on prepared perfectly and Delicious. Brought in our own caught snapper and had it prepped two ways, fried and blackened to perfection.

You cannot beat the service food or view from this tiki bar. My husband and I ended up going here almost every single meal of our very short trip to Marathon because the food was just delicious and it was very convenient because we were staying in the hotel in front of it, but one time we ventured out, we were slightly disappointed that we decided to go somewhere else because the food would’ve been better if we just stayed at Barnacle Barney’s very recently for the type of food that is all you can eat fish fry on Friday was superb. Breakfast was amazing and all the other delicious things that we had we raved about after we ate there one of my favorite things that I had there was the Keylime sauce with the fish. It was so delicious. I would’ve bottled it up and taken it home with me if I could’ve. I also tried the Keylime pie and the lava dessert. This Keylime pie was the best we had and we tried several on the island because I love Keylime pie. Mary Joe the owner was super sweet and all of her servers were nice and kind and loved talking to you if you wanted to talk it was great. They do shots and a canon every night at Sunset so that’s a fun experience that you can see a canon shot off into a beautiful sunset view right off of the balcony.

Have visited before two years ago and loved it. Was so excited to come back. Boy were we wrong. How could a place go so down hill?! It was dirty everywhere and felt trashy. All the menu items were crossed off and the drinks were horrible. We could barely choke down the drinks. It was the last time we will visit there and very sad because has such potential on a beautiful resort.
Brianna U — Google review
After dinner, we stopped by for some drinks and to watch the sunset. We did not eat any food at Barnacle Barney's. We did enjoy a drink or two from their bar and we watched the sunset. They shoot a miniature cannon at sunset and it was entertaining. A Barnacle Barney's Sunset Tradition A beautiful spot to take in some waterfront views and enjoy the sunset. Some fishing and snorkeling charters leave from the docks nearby. A casual place to dine and drink by the water.

The service is great there. The bar staff are very nice and attentive. Great craft beer selection. The pretzel was one of the best I've ever had. They have live music several times a week. Good acts and they don't blow you out with the volume of their music. Added bonus, great place to view the sunset!

Nice little get away on water. Hidden behind resort. Reasonably priced.

My boyfriend and I love this place. It’s not just for people staying at the time share… by any means. It’s a great under-the-radar spot right on the water. The drinks are great, all of the food we’ve gotten has been great, the staff is awesome. We also LOVE to take our drinks down to the dock and feed the fish, talk to the charter captains, and just enjoy the scenery. If you’re looking for a place that isn’t so much of a tourist destination, this is your place. Give it a try. 🌴☀️

The Bull & Whistle Bar in Key West is a unique three-in-one experience. The ground floor features the lively Bull bar, adorned with murals and often bustling with crowds. Upstairs, the Whistle Bar offers a more relaxed atmosphere with large windows and a balcony for prime people-watching on Duval Street. This popular spot also hosts holiday celebrations and rooftop parties, drawing both locals and tourists alike.
Another long standing business on Duval Street that attracts a lot of tourists, especially to the Whistle Bar on the 2nd floor and if you dare, to the 3rd floor where clothing is optional but you have to give your cellphone to the security guards while you are there. They are very strict about no photos there nor any funny business. We sat on the balcony so that we could watch the Duval Street action diwn below us. We each had a drink and chatted with other patrons about Duval Street and the best places to go to. Everyone was laughing and having a good time the bartender was friendly and service was great. Parking is not easy to get in this highly busy area. Try the side streets and walk thete. There's so much to see that you won't mind the short walk.

Shoot a few games of pool....people watch on the balcony. Life is good. Bartenders are always great. El Jefé, wife n dad had a great time last weekend.
Jeff S — Google review
In a neon-lit corner of Key West, where the humidity clings to skin like an old friend who's had one too many, the Whistle Bar on Duval Street stands as a testament to Florida's particular brand of organized chaos. This isn't a place that whispers; it bellows its intentions through blue LED lighting, wooden latticework, and a peculiar spider-like decoration that looms from the ceiling like some maritime guardian. The space unfolds as a living collage—part beach shack, part dive bar sanctuary—where ocean-themed artwork competes with what appears to be a Klimt-inspired painting that would raise eyebrows at MoMA. Here, the aesthetic can best be described as "whatever washed ashore and looked interesting." Patrons perch on wooden barstools like sailors resting at port, nursing drinks served by bartenders who've likely heard every story the Atlantic has to offer. The bar's layout reveals itself as a labyrinth of wooden dividers and cramped corridors that create distinct social microclimates: the pool table zone with its verdant overhead lighting; the main bar area where elbows touch and conversations blend; and the coveted balcony spots that offer prime viewing of Duval's nightly human parade. "It's cozy, let's say," remarks a sunburned tourist, wedged between a wooden post and someone's enthusiastic gesticulation. For the ambulatorily challenged, Whistle Bar presents itself less as a destination and more as an Olympic event. The uneven wooden floors, narrow passages, and high seating create what accessibility advocates might generously call "a beautiful mess." Those requiring mobility assistance would be wise to arrive with a patient companion—or perhaps during the unlikely quiet of early afternoon. The surrounding ecosystem of Duval Street enhances the Whistle Bar experience. The nearby Garden of Eden provides an atmospheric soundtrack that bleeds through the walls, while The Bull—described by locals as the Whistle's "rowdy cousin"—stands ready for those seeking to escalate their evening. Together, they form what one bartender calls "the Duval debauchery triangle." Despite (or perhaps because of) its physical limitations and haphazard design elements, Whistle Bar maintains a devoted following. The unpretentious "come as you are" atmosphere attracts a democratic mix of tourists and locals. On any given night, you might find silver-haired retirees exchanging philosophical musings with tattooed twenty-somethings over surprisingly affordable drinks. As midnight approaches, the bar transforms further. The ceiling fans whirl ineffectively against the heat generated by dancing bodies, and conversations grow louder to compete with the ambient noise. Through it all, the bartenders maintain the steady rhythm of pouring, mixing, and sliding drinks across worn wooden surfaces that have absorbed decades of spilled stories. "If you don't like it, you're probably too uptight for Duval anyway," offers a regular, raising his glass in a toast to nothing in particular. For those seeking an Instagram-perfect setting with curated cocktails and mood lighting, look elsewhere. But for travelers hungry for authenticity—for a place where memories are made in real time rather than through filters—the Whistle Bar delivers with chaotic precision. Just remember to watch your step on the way out.

It's in a great location. The upper wraparound deck is a great place to people watch. The deck above that is downright scandalous. Enjoy!
Joe W — Google review
This was our 3rd time being there and our 3rd time with rude bartenders with terrible service. We left $10 on a $55 dollar tab for 2 of the same basic drinks and a beer not some special drinks that would take skill or time. After writing the tip, the tall older bald bartender literally grabbed the bill from me circled the tip and said "20% is the minimum tip for average service" then walked off. We over tipped for the service we received in the first place as he was rude and sat on his phone while we waited at the bar for him. I really hope the owners or managers read this. You are losing business because of this person. I know for a fact the 4 of us sure won't be back. And we'll remove this place from the list of local recommendations that we give to thousands of our customers yearly. This was on 9.4.25 around 10pm on the second floor.
M L — Google review
Didn't have a chance to have any food or drink. I walked into the bar I don't feel 10 people in the whole bar. About 5 sitting at the bar stools. That's including the couple that sat next to me after I sat down. The bartender walk past me three times looked at me but she was getting somebody else a drink and I waited patiently then she walks up to the couple that sat down after I sat down and started asking them for a drink and I said ma'am I was next he started yelling at me and I'm not joking she started yelling at me hey I am really busy watch your mouth. I did not cuss I never cuss. She was the rudest person I think I've ever met especially someone in the service industry. I immediately got up and walked out of the bar. I'm on vacation I do not need that kind of an attitude.

This is a good spot to go hang out and party. There three floors of fun. The rooftop bar features a "clothing optional" attire. There is definitely lots to see up there. Oh and please no cell phones or pictures! If that's too rowdy, then head down to the second floor where there's a balcony that overlooks the street below. It's an awesome spot for people watching.
Deneva S — Google review
Nothing fancy here, what you will find is reasonably priced drinks and friendly bartenders. Decent place to play a game of pool and enjoy cold beers. Great people watching from this 2nd story wrap around porch. One flight down will get you some good live entertainment. Or one flight up you'll find yourself over dressed if you miss the sign. Rooftop bar is clothing optional, don't get excited nothing you haven't seen before. 😁

Gilbert's Resort is a beachfront lodging located in Key Largo, making it a popular stop for visitors heading to the Keys. The resort features simple motel rooms, a beach, and a pool. Its main attraction is the super-size tiki bar, which is the largest in the Florida Keys and offers entertainment. While some may advise against staying in the rooms due to mixed reviews on service and food quality, many still recommend visiting for its live music and good customer service.
Gilbert’s is one of my favorite places in the keys. I absolutely love how you can enjoy being in the water and eat or drink on the sand. The relaxing vibe here makes you think like you’re in a different country. This time I had dinner here. I tried the lobster bisque, fish tacos with the spicy margarita. Everything was delicious. The lobster bisque was creamy and the fish tacos were very tasty. The service was great. There was also live music, which made it more enjoyable. My favorite part about being here is that you can also catch the most beautiful sunset. It was stunning. I would definitely continue to come here to enjoy the water, food and drinks.

Food was great. Ambiance was incredible. Amazing sunset view. Serviced was sub par. Waters’s checked on us twice only filled up waters once the whole dinner. They do have a lot of ground to cover but still. Dinner service needs actual service. Mosquitoes started getting us at the end of the night. Definitely would go back and sit at the bar for the sunset.

This place is amazing…. While it’s late September and not its busy season and they are in the midst of some great upgrades, we have felt pampered, relaxed and fed the best food and drinks one could ask for. The staff is friendly and helpful beyond words. The food has been great with an awesome variety of seafood. The rooms are spotless, beds comfy and towels divine . The private cabanas for guests with Igor as your attendant, just wonderful!!! If you need a relaxing getaway where you never have to leave , I highly recommend this place. We will be back!!!

I took my family (5) to Gilbert’s and rented a cabana on a rainy day to keep dry in between rain storms. I was immediately greeted by a beautiful, kind young lady who seemed eager to help & ensure we had a memorable time. When we got to the entrance of the cabanas Igor a tall, nice looking fella with beautiful eyes greeted us with a smile. He immediately made us feel warm and welcome. Every need was anticipated and exceedingly met. We drank and ate for hours with our friends and kids and it was great. A great experience until we decided to rent jet skis that is. The guy working it was being rude, making unnecessary comments. He made everyone in a group of 8 uncomfortable. I will never return there but as for the restaurant and service. Great time!!!!! Thanks Igor for ensuring we had a great time and accommodating last minute guests. We will be back to see him!!!! Igor is highly recommended!!!

Love that the Restaurant Bar is just 35 minutes away from Homestead Love the vibe the food has gotten overpriced and the below block for hotel guests only but I still like going there!!!! Don't love that they blocked the sunset view for us locals since months ago. The end of the area that was water front is now only for hotel guests. The local tradition of seeing the sunset after eating and drinking there was taken away from us.

Bobby's Monkey Bar is a beloved dive bar in Key West, known for its homely and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Bobby, is the heart of the bar, making everyone feel like part of a big happy family. It's described as a casual spot with a pool table, karaoke nights, and fantastic drink deals. Visitors praise the great singing and cool vibe at the bar. It's popular among locals and visitors alike for its welcoming environment and LGBTQ+ friendliness.
Crazy little bar in Key West a block off the business and craziness of Duvall St. We visited during Fantasy Fest so, it was a little bit different than most days there. This little gem didn’t disappoint us as it is the turn of the first Fantasy Fest parade also known as “The Locals parade”. They have an emcee announcing the parade and lots of fun. Don’t miss the chance to pop in this cool spot and grab a drink or two.

Absolute 11/10 experience. If you love karaoke, and love the energy of adults of all ages and backgrounds having a good time, then this is the place. Super safe and super supportive. Be aware that it's a small bar and cash only, but overall an excellent vibe and highly recommended for anyone who wants to get their sing on in Key West.
Barry S — Google review
Went there for the Karaoke! Yes, it is a cash bar, and yes, they have an ATM on-site. Had this been any other karaoke bar, I would have sung, had a few drinks, and left. But it's a rainbow pride bar and my two straight couples had the most fun. The atmosphere was supportive, crazy, and talented. We laughed and laughed. Everybody in our group sang (if you can call it that) and loved every minute! A definite recommendation and much thanks to Deb, our bartender, and Jeff, our KJ.

The Bull and Whistle Bar is a quintessential Key West destination that offers a unique blend of vibrant atmospheres across its three distinct spaces. The ground-level Bull features an inviting open-air setting adorned with colorful murals, creating a lively backdrop for enjoying potent cocktails and drafts. This bustling bar often hosts live performances, adding to the energetic vibe. On the second floor, you'll find the Whistle—a more laid-back sports bar atmosphere complete with pool tables and dartboards.
Great bar great music! I don’t know if the hotdog stand is always outside, but I had an amazing bra from there as well!

The bartender ( tall bald guy ) was rude to begin with. It was a quiet night , no customers at the bar when we walked in. He claimed he was pouring a double ( a splash of alcohol) then he said he saved us 16 dollars as he was putting his 2 $ tip in his tip jar after we paid 16$ for 2 glasses of soda! This joker needs to find another job. I’ve always had great service on the second floor until tonight. Tyler was great and the gal that works only Saturday (Laura?) was also great

Brass Monkey is a popular dive bar located in Marathon, known for its unassuming exterior and lively atmosphere. Whether you're there for Happy Hour or late-night fun until 4:00 a.m., the bar offers affordable drinks, comfort food like country fried steak and mashed potatoes, pool tables, and friendly service. Situated in Kmart Plaza, it's a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
The food at Brass Monkeys was solid, with a fun menu and tasty options worth trying. The atmosphere had potential, but unfortunately the experience was overshadowed by the constant interruptions—I was literally approached every ten seconds, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the night. Service could definitely be improved; attentive is good, but pushy is not. If you’re looking for a spot with lively vibes and good eats, Brass Monkeys delivers on food, but be prepared for a very high-energy environment.

Really enjoyable dive bar this Funky Monkey (Beastie Boys reference lol) !! Really cool locals and tourists hangin out. I had heard about it from the front desk person at the hotel where I was staying, so I called and it was weird that they didn't answer their phone. I'd suggest to management here to fix that link from Google to call here because they are likely losing potential business from people who call for information, confirm hours, etc. and may be taken aback by the no answer/weird recording you get. Glad I came to check it out despite this. It's the only place open late around here. Enjoyed the live entertainment past "Marathon Midnight" (which is 9PM lol) by Fred on solo guitar who's been playing here for over 40 years!! Wow! Only food served late is from Durty Dawgs food truck outside of the bar. I'm not sure of earlier menu options if any. It's probably decent, but didn't order anything since I had just eaten dinner. If you enjoy loveable dive bars, this is a really nice one with good vibes. Much nicer on the inside than the outside would lead you to believe. Check it out past Marathon Midnight ha ha!!

Alvin was the best bartender ever! He was fun. He was personable and he made a killer drink. He danced with me before I left, and I was very appreciative of that. Hands-down of all the bars I have visited on Duvall this place was the most welcoming fun and friendly place. It’s my absolute favorite and I will be back! when you visit, If Alvin is there, chat him up, you will not be disappointed. ❤️ Can’t say enough good things about this place

Great music tonight, but I have to be honest — the two male bartenders were a major letdown. Asking customers to pay cash only felt sketchy, and seeing them give free drinks to their girlfriends made it worse. It’s not about their sexuality — it’s about professionalism and integrity. If you’re running a quality establishment, hire staff who reflect that. People deserve to be treated fairly, and your business deserves better representation behind the bar.

Nestled in Key West, the Little Room Jazz Club offers a cozy and intimate setting for live jazz performances every night. The venue features blue-lit stairs that lead to an inviting space with talented musicians, above-average cocktails, and sleek seating. Guests can enjoy the sultry sounds of jazz in a candlelit ambiance while sipping on craft beer or choosing from an extensive wine and cocktail menu.
This place is a gem! The music that played last night was soulful and just dam good! "Soul Man" sang to me for most of the evening. He's great! Full of passion and what an amazing voice. He sang like Marvin G, and George Benson was right next to him. I truly enjoyed my night there. The waitress/bartender was sweet. Every time I'm in Key West, I'm going to the Little Room Jazz Club.

My husband and I came here Friday night to listen to jazz and it was fun. The waitress was very attentive and the drink was yummy. Wow, what a great find. Fantastic jazz. The musicians are very good. We walked in find a place to sit. Have a couple martinis and just sit back and relax. The band members are very knowledgeable of the music they play and I really enjoyed them, giving us informational facts of each musician song who wrote it and where it was written. We loved this jazz club! Very classy & elegant, and the musicians were top notch. We came late around 10pm and enjoyed the Carmen Rodriguez Trio so much that we returned for a second night. Carmen has a beautiful voice and is very charming.

Nestled at the end of Duval Street, The Smallest Bar in Key West is a delightful gem that perfectly captures the quirky spirit of this vibrant island. Despite its diminutive size—comparable to a cozy jail cell—this charming watering hole offers an inviting atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can gather for tropical-themed cocktails. As you sip your drink, don’t miss the chance to engage with the friendly bartender, who’s always ready to share insider tips about nearby attractions.
Stopped in twice on our KW trip. Both Bartenders were great. Be sure to give Josh a hard time. He is a fun Guy!

A Tiny Bar with a Big Personality – The Smallest Bar in Key West, FL Tucked between two buildings on Duval Street, The Smallest Bar in Key West lives up to its name — and yet, it delivers a full-sized experience packed with charm, character, and good times. It’s not just a quirky novelty; it’s a genuinely fun place to stop for a drink and a laugh while exploring Old Town. There’s barely room for more than a few people inside (literally, it’s about the size of a walk-in closet), but that’s part of the fun. The bartender is usually just steps away from everyone, and the atmosphere is light, friendly, and inviting — the kind of place where you’ll end up chatting with strangers and maybe even making a few new friends. The drink menu is simple but solid. They’ve got all the essentials — ice-cold beers, margaritas, mojitos, and classic tropical cocktails served with a smile. It’s a great place for a quick refreshment while bar hopping down Duval or waiting for sunset at Mallory Square. There’s also something undeniably Key West about this place. It’s laid-back, a little offbeat, and full of character — a perfect reflection of the island’s quirky charm. It may be small in size, but it’s huge in personality.

The smallest bar is a must do if you are in Key West. They have the best Key Lime Pie shots in Key West. I have asked them for the secret ingredient and they said they couldn’t tell me lol. I will be back! Thanks!

Very New Experience! I came with friends and we were welcomed and had a great time! We spent the entire day in the back (pool/bar/garden). Our bartender was Nick and he was very attentive, made great drinks and was super informative! We will absolutely return!

A great gay gem bar in Key West. I truly enjoy Jeff Moss Thursday to Sunday singing and entertaining the masses. I also enjoy Carl behind the bar! A great spot to stop for a drink, or several.

Such a great place to go and relax and also have a good night out in town. From karaoke nights to private dancing places by the pool. I really was able to party, relax, recuperate and do it all over again. Recommended to go on low season if you want to enjoy the views, streets, markets and so on. Otherwise expect big masses of people shopping and I have been there at different times of the year so believe me there is a big difference and a time for everyone. The staff is very attentive and their rooms are very clean. I loved it 😍.

Visiting from Northern California. First night I’m denied being served by the back bartender. I have 10 more nights for my birthday next week. I won’t return

Great place to live or visit. Beautiful water , amazing homes, great island vibes.

Very nice location most houses are right on the water. Quiet spot but only about 30 minutes from Key West. The jumping bridge was a fun stop.

My friend took me to this little hidden corner that was good for jumping off the bridge and enjoying the cooling water.

Several cars got broken into. There was trash everywhere, and rats ran out of piles of it.

Totally love Sugarloaf key! We always stay at the KOA every December sometime around Christmas this year. We’re actually gonna be there for Christmas so we’re excited. We don’t actually love the bartender at the KOA but we do love the staff. And Sugarloaf key is so close to Key West And it’s gorgeous…. Lots of neat places to go and of course you’re a hop skipping a jump from Key West. Lots of neat State parks to visit and the people are just really friendly and helpful.
Jacquelyn G — Google review
The BAT TOWER offers some additional interesting history to the area. I made a whole YouTube video about it.
