Marigold Kitchen is a vibrant eatery located in downtown, offering a creative menu for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant was established in 2000 with the aim of providing a Midwestern dining experience without the hustle and bustle of big-city locations. The menu features classic dishes like pancakes, French toast, and omelets alongside unique options such as the three grain tempeh bowl and duck confit hash.
This place has it figured out. It is SO busy, and SO worth it. We waited but the wait staff were moving people in and out like a well oiled machine. I was impressed with the gluten free options, the flavors were great. If you eat low glycemic, this is the stop! Healthy and yummy. We will definitely be back.

I loved this place in college, post college, and now every time we come to visit from Hawai'i. The people are very nice, you order and pay, and then they bring your things to you. It is self serve water and does get a bit busy but that is how it works there so come early. The space is very cute and well lit. Feels homey every time. I almost always get the roasted sweet potato, kale, and pesto hash which is always a win. There are a few reviews that say the potatos are not great but I think they are fantastic. Seems just like a personal preference. This time I also got the ricotta pancakes which were amazing. They were hearty which was good because I also shared a little with my 16 mo old. My husband got the special scramble and the French toast 10/10. Also, if you visit, get the dollar donut holes. Worth every penny!
Brittany R — Google review
Great place right by the Square. We had to wait out on the sidewalk for about 30 minutes, but they are on it. Your name gets taken, an estimated wait time is given, a little while later they come back with menus, then back again with a table number for you to hold, and before you know that you’re inside. you place your order at the counter, and pay for everything right there. Then obviously you take your table number to the table. Very cool place inside. We went there for brunch and had the breakfast sandwich and the scrambler. Only thing that I would change is that our food was warm and not hot. Like, “debating about sending it back warm” but then it’s like, “ugh, we waited a long time and I’m hungry.” It was really good though. The cafe cubano was also awesome.
Matt S — Google review
We had the avocado toast and the mushroom omelette, both were very good. The potatoes that came with the omelette were crispy and delicious. The lattes were very good and came out quickly. The staff was very kind. Overall an excellent experience

Full disclosure - you will wait, and it will be worth every single minute. if there's no line, you might be in the wrong place. The efficiency of the front of house staff, from the greeter, to the counter staff, to the expediters, was unmatched in my experience and is likely a large part of their continued success. I'm from (south) Florida and the Cubano couldn't have been better if I had been sitting at a South Beach café. The food was exciting, refreshing, and delicious. Marigold Kitchen is a gem in downtown Madison.
Bobby S — Google review
One of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had. Bacon cream cheese spinach omelette, pumpkin cheesecake pancakes and lemon ricotta pancakes were all delicious. We had to wait in line but they were efficient and communicative. Well worth the wait.

This place is VIBES! Yummy food. Great service. Warm, cozy atmosphere. My daughter and I were in town for a concert and stopped in for brunch before we left. We will definitely be back! ❤️❤️❤️
Rosaida W — Google review
This is my favorite breakfast place in Madison, it’s in a good and convenient location, especially if you want to go to the farmers market, the atmosphere is so good, there are plenty of vegetarian options, and if you time it right then you won’t have to wait long. You order at the counter and get your own water. They bring you your food. A little pricey all things considered, especially once you add gratuity. How much do you add when you order at the counter and have to get your own water? 10%, 15%? I usually do 20% but seems not quite right. They probably include tax in the amount they are calculating the gratuity on. You’ll significantly improve your chances of getting a table sooner the smaller the group of people you go with—2-3 is faster, and if you go just a teeny bit earlier in the morning you’ll get a table sooner too—none of which is not surprising but is helpful.

Bassett Street Brunch Club is a vintage-inspired diner that serves up elevated comfort foods, with a focus on brunch and homemade donuts. As part of the esteemed Food Fight Restaurant Group, this establishment offers a menu filled with classic comfort dishes that have been given a sophisticated twist. The ambiance is playful and modern, featuring luxurious booths for guests to enjoy their meals.
This place was packed and for good reason! 5/5! We had the steak and eggs and the weekly specials for $20! The special came with appetizer, main meal and dessert. I had the pountine, salmon blt and donut flight. I seriously felt like I robbed the restaurant because for $20 boy oh boy did I get the most delicious meal!!! I was so full but I ate everything! The salmon blt sandwich was one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had! I was raving about it to my husband! His steak came cooked perfectly to his liking and he had nothing but good things to say about the chimichurri sauce. The salad that came with both of our meals was dressed perfectly and so good/fresh! Our server was attentive. Bathrooms clean! Loved the vibes! Will absolutely recommend and come back any time we're in Madison!
Pakou L — Google review
To preface, our server was great! Super nice and considerate. They were short staffed at the bar and our food came out before the drinks, but she was good at communicating with us and comped part of our drinks. The place itself was cute and trendy. Gave it a 2 star because of the food. We ordered the poutine, pot roast, fish & chips, chicken & waffles, and chicken salad sandwich. We really liked the poutine. The chicken & waffles was good too, but the rest of it was kind of eh or disappointing. The fried fish didn’t hold any form and fell apart as soon as you touched it. I’m used to pot roasts being very tendered and smothered down, but this one was dry and there wasn’t much of the sauce on the plate to help flavor the dryness out. This part might be a preference thing, but mashed potatoes weren’t super creamy and some of the vegetables didn’t seem like it was fully cooked through. The veggies had a crunch to it that you would expect from a raw one. I also got the pickle margarita, which was kinda fun and unique. Maybe we should have stuck with the brunch food since it is a brunch club, but the other entrees were kind of a let down.
Mimi T — Google review
Visited here at the recommendation of a recruiter for the company I applied for. It was a fantastic option for brunch. They offer all the classics, including biscuits, pancakes, french toast, and more. They really take everything to the extreme. Our server was friendly and took care of us. I particularly enjoyed the pancakes. We had to pack them up, not for lack of flavor but because of huge portions.
Viggy V — Google review
Mary Beth welcomed us & found a great booth followed by delicious drinks & food offerings that are so numerous it takes some time to decide. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Everyone was welcoming & knowledgeable - obviously kudos to manager Mary Beth - thank you!
Ann S — Google review
Our server was great! And they were busy but the host said he could seat us immediately outside…we were so grateful! (2 of us were driving back home so couldn’t wait 30 minutes for a table) First, my niece has Celiac so for those that have it and are going, it is a safe place. As usual I recommend telling them you have Celiac and therefore to do their best with cross contamination…prepare on a clean surface, clean hands/utensils, keep gluten items separate etc All 3 of us loved our meal! We got the American Style breakfast which is what’s pictured and the Hot to Tot Burrito which was also very good
Carla A — Google review
The atmosphere was booshy & fun. Coffee was good. My avocado toast tasted old and the. read was not really toasted at all. Not sure if this place is always like this but there were fruit flies flying around my breakfast at the bar!

What a beautiful Sunday to enjoy good food!! Everything I seen coming out the window looked so good and our food was fantastic!! The atmosphere was light and fun even though it was busy. The cook times were not long and our waitress Kate was a gem!! I enjoy it every time I visit ❤️

Mickies Dairy Bar is a beloved local spot near Camp Randall, serving up generous portions of classic American breakfast and lunch dishes. The diner has retained its 1950s decor and original menu, creating a nostalgic atmosphere for diners. Despite long lines, the hearty helpings of food like banana pecan pancakes and colossal cinnamon rolls make the wait worthwhile.
Awesome local place for a hearty breakfast. The pancakes are huge and the “scramble” was awesome: eggs, cheese, potatos, and your choice of meat. Cash only, but service was fast, frequent and friendly. BTW, the fried potatoes are called “yanks.” Never heard that term before, but if your food is this good for a fair price, you get to call it whatever you want.
Marc H — Google review
Notorious classic, greasy spoon diner across Camp Randall Stadium. Always busy, always friendly and the food is always good. The fried pork chop plate is delicious and is wonderfully seasoned. The pancakes are thick and wholesome. A destination eatery when visiting Madison. Cash only.
Michael W — Google review
Stopped by on a Thursday morning for breakfast. Very classic 50s diner atmosphere. It felt like home even thought it was my first visit. The food portions are huge and fair on price. Highly recommend!!!
Daniel K — Google review
Me and my husband stopped here for the first time. He got the corn beef scrambler and I got the blueberry pancakes. The portions are amazing, the food superb. The sitting was unique and I can say we will be coming back. Our server was knowledgeable and gave recommendations, which helped us decide. We absolutely will be returning
Angel M — Google review
Its reputation precedes it. Got a scramble, which was wonderfully huge (yanks = potatoes, btw). Service was nice and fast -- almost too fast. Couldn't finish the toast with the scramble at first, but waitstaff came by with the check -- although I wasn't there anywhere close to an hour, they do have a warning not to spend more than an hour there written somewhere. So, headed out to get out of the way (somewhat subconsciously) and within minutes wished I had eaten the rest of the toast. Oh well. Definitely worth a visit when in Madison.
Dnrothx — Google review
Always amazing...but this time...there was NO line! We got nearby street parking and that was also a plus. As there was no line, and we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive the waiter started a conversation with us and we were able to share how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication to create the magic that happens on a weekend morning at Mickies Dairy Bar;)
J P — Google review
Love this place! We had pancakes, French toasts, a scrambler and an sweet potato fries. Staff is super friendly. Portions are huge. Is cash only but they have an atm on site.
Joaquín E — Google review
I cannot RAVE more about what a fantastic place this is. Food - excellent. Atmosphere - Excellent. Service - some of the best I've had in year; kind, cheerful, polite, professional. You know a place is good when 15 minutes before opening, the street is lined with elderly men waiting in their cars for it to open.

Short Stack Eatery is a charming independent diner in Madison, offering a unique breakfast experience. The cozy ambiance and eclectic decor make diners feel like they're visiting someone's grandparents for a home-cooked meal. The menu features classic breakfast favorites as well as surprises like 'The Blind,' a rotating mystery dish that adds an element of excitement to the dining experience.
This place is incredible. The blueberry pancakes we ordered were exceptionally tasty. A little concerning for the price of three strips of side bacon for $6.95. Otherwise come in early to avoid the line if you don’t want to wait. Great menu, delicious coffee and juices. Highly recommend for breakfast in downtown Madison. One of the best places around along with Marigold kitchen hen on the opposite side of the square.

If your looking for a quintessential Wisconsin breakfast served in the capitol this is the place. The hash browns are Olympic gold! And the entire experience is a masters class in business efficiency while still feeling homey and comfortable. This team could teach a masters in business efficiency while from the long self managed line out front that moves quickly to order before you sit, it’s a great experience. We loved it.
Ervin P — Google review
Absolutely incredible spot for a nice breakfast or lunch on the weekends. The food is fresh and delicious. I tried the blind special, which lets you order a special for $11.95 without knowing what it is, and was treated to an amazing scramble that was filling and tasty. My friend got the corn beef hash that was also stellar. Highly recommend this spot for a weekend meal.
Mario G — Google review
Very nice portion sizes! The veggies were cooked perfectly in my egg scramble and the Bloody Mary tasted so fresh. My friend said Short Stack has the best breakfast burrito in Madison that she’s tried.
Miranda S — Google review
**Corner Classic Breakfast** Preface: This corner restaurant serves quality breakfast, cocktails, and sweet treats. The atmosphere is unique and historic, with the eclectic collection of different souvenirs left by past patrons. Food: My party ordered the Pulled Pork Cheese Grits, a Buttermilk Short Stack, and the Biscuits and Gravy. The spices of everything were great with the pancakes and biscuits being extra fluffy. The only issue I had was he Grits were a little too liquidity for my taste. Overall, it was still fantastic. Service: Quick and efficient. Food was brought out in a timely manner. Atmosphere: Quaint and historic, but in a mom and pop shop type of way. Overall: If you ever need a good bite to eat, definitely get in here and get yourself a stack (of pancakes). Score: 4.7 out of 5
Brandon L — Google review
The strussel french toast and the Cajun biscuits and gravy are show stoppers. Super good! The French toast was delightfully crispy and sweet with a nice earthy flavor from the whole wheat bread they use. The Cajun biscuits and gravy are excellent. The biscuit is perfectly crispy and flaky with a little sweetness to counter the savory earthy Cajun gravy. We also got the breakfast burrito and the bloody mary. The breakfast burrito was good but nothing spectacular and we didn't like the bloody. It was very vegetable forward, it tasted like a blended relish tray in not a pleasant way. If you really like vegetable smoothies, especially beet ones, you might like it. We will stick with the French toast and Cajun biscuits and gravy. Also, make sure to try the breakfast potatoes. They are very good with a strong rosemary flavor.
Matt B — Google review
We recently had the pleasure of trying the breakfast burrito it was nothing short of amazing! The food was well cooked and full of flavour - the perfect way to start my day. The service was also great, the staff were friendly and attentive and made sure that my order was cooked to perfection. I was unable to eat the whole burrito, but I was very grateful for the delicious food that I had. If you ever find yourself close or in the area Don't Walk Run!, I definitely recommend the breakfast burrito
Victoria J — Google review
OMG, OMG.... when I tell you this place has good breakfast food!!! The lines outside the restaurant confirms that. It's really small, so if you're going, get up early to get a seat. Otherwise, you will be waiting in line, BUT it will be worth it. That cornbeef hash and the sweet potato pancakes were fire 🔥, hmmm, hmmm goodt. The little side salad not only cleansed my palate but was very tasty. If you're heading to Madison on business or if you're going to visit your child at the university, MAKE IT your business to visit. Your taste buds and family will thank you that you did. Oh, and they're also all about using local produce and recycling. You order before you're seated at the counter, so scan the menu before you get in. You also get your own water, coffee, and condiments at a little station. It's self- served. The wait staff will bring your food and cocktails to the table. Good times...

Monty's Blue Plate Diner is a 1950s-style restaurant located in a renovated gas station, offering a mix of classic comfort food and modern vegan options. The diner is known for its involvement in tempeh production, supplying not only their own dishes but also other local eateries. The atmosphere evokes a modern-day 50's diner with retro vibes, and the menu features vegan breakfast items, sandwiches, and ice cream desserts.
I am grateful for the vegan options at Monty's Blue Plate Diner and make it a point to eat there when I'm in Madison. The food is terrific and I give it 5 stars for atmosphere because it's a legit diner.

As a vegan, I value this place. Diner food has always been one of my favorites and if you're vegan you know how hard it can be to find ANYTHING to eat at a breakfast place. But Monty's Blue Plate Diner has several delicious options (even shakes!). When there is a wait it's clearly communicated and there are indoor and outdoor areas to wait. You are sat in a charming colorful diner and treated to delicious food. I love this place, and if you are ever in Madison it's a must go.
Victoria M — Google review
Great diner with all the classics. Breakfast served all days, burgers, sandwiches, and fish fry on friday. I got the large breakfast special, which came absolutely loaded with food, I had enough for leftovers. The fish fry was also very good, 2 large pieces of perfectly fried fish.
Willow — Google review
Great vegan menu, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts - including milkshakes! I had the burger with waffle fries, and my husband had the Sheldon- like a reuben but with marinated tofu. The shakes took a while to get but were definitely worth the wait! They were more the size of 2 shakes and were delicious.
Kelly J — Google review
Interesting Menu, I chose the Ruben Sandwich. I would not get it again. It was sloppy to eat, and had too much tofu IMO Place was clean, and crowded. If I am ever back in the area, I will try something else on the menu

Cute diner serving the best vegetarian and vegan comfort food! They have all your “classic” offerings as well for the meat eaters. Our only problem was having too many options to choose from. ❤️😆 Our server Jo was very friendly and helpful. Vegan milkshakes and the “Sheldon” (a tofu Rueben) are a must, and don’t skip dessert. Cannot wait to go back!!!

Monty's never disappoints! Absolutely delicious food and their Bloody Mary is perfect for me. They serve breakfast all day and have an entire page of vegan options. I would eat there every day. Seriously.

Blue and retro! Monty’s is a diner with all the classics. Baked good for sale at the counter, all types of breakfast fixings (served all day), great vegan entrées, and Friday fish fries. Serving sizes are worthy of left overs. I had the Eggs Florentine, and it was great!

Graze Restaurant is a lively gastropub offering farm-to-table comfort food in a modern glass venue with views of the Wisconsin State Capitol building. Chef Tory Miller, a James Beard Award-winner, brings his expertise from New York City to fulfill his dream of elevating local farm-raised ingredients. The restaurant's brunch menu features dishes like the bibimbap burrito and kielbasa, which are local favorites.
## Graze: A Madison Must-Try From the first sip of the Sunset Cosmo to the last crumb of the chocolate chip cookie, Graze in Madison delivers a top-notch dining experience. Starting with the cocktail, it was a perfect opener to what was to come. The cheese curds are a must-order. They were perfectly golden and delicious. But the real star of the show was the Graze Burger. Made with a blend of brisket, short rib, and bacon that sat on a sesame duck fat bun, each bite was an explosion of flavor. I was so eager to dig in that I completely forgot to snap a photo before devouring it! To finish, the milk and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies were the ideal sweet ending. Graze is a standout spot that I can't wait to visit again.

They were fully booked for brunch so we had to sit at the bar which was fine. The view is amazing in there and overall vibes were great. Obviously pricy but worth it for the experience! I really wanted to try more things on the menu but I went with the loaded hash brown and my girlfriend got the smash burger which was amazing. In the future I’d love to try the Korean dishes and the cheese curds. Also, the bacon egg & cheese egg roll was really unique and it was amazing with the crunch on the outside. Go here!

Brunch offering is great. Hard decision, but went with the Korean Fried Chicken and Waffles. Did not disappoint! Chicken was spicy and crunchy, waffle was sweet to pair. Would get that again in a heartbeat.

I once ate here in 2018 back in my undergrad degree and I absolutely loved it. I hadn’t stoped thinking about it since then. Finally seven years later I was able to come back and have it again. I was here in February for my anniversary and this past weekend for my birthday. Truly truly it was so fantastic!

Delicious meals utilizing local and seasonal ingredients. The food was incredible and the service was very professional! They have a separate vegetarian menu which was very helpful.

Nearby, there are other dining options such as Great Dane Pub & Brewing, Graze, Crave, Cocoliquot, Samba Brazilian steakhouse, Frida's, ElDorado Grill, the Old Fashioned, Johnny Delmonico's and Fresco.
We had a delicious meal here and we enjoyed sitting on the patio on a beautiful summer night. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed a refreshing drink of ginger, grapefruit and lemon juice and honey. The hostess was quick to get us a table when we arrived 15 minutes ahead of our reservation. If we lived in Madison, we would regularly dine here.

Went here for our anniversary and had an incredible time! We were sat exactly at our reservation time with a view of the water. Our waiter was extremely kind and always checked in to make sure everything was going well. The food was delicious, we started with the appetizer special and were blown away. Had the Madison sourdough bread as an app as well and we ate the entire basket! The whitefish and steak were amazing, both very soft and flavorful. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous experience at Sardine - almost everything tasted fresh and well-executed. House salad and pork chop were excellent. We also had the duck dish; I thought the mashed potatoes were a tad too salty and duck would have fared better if less cooked (perhaps a medium rare rather than medium). Extensive drinks list and attentive service too. Overall, a wonderful time and possibly the best restaurant in Madison!

Incredible, thorough service. We went for brunch with a last minute change in numbers and the servers were very accommodating. Great atmosphere, feels very high-end. My only reason to give it 4 instead of 5 stars is everybody at our table that had been prior said they preferred their dinner menu. I got the mushroom toast with cashew cream and an added egg. Was it good? Yes. Do I feel that other people’s meals were a little mid for the price of their plates? Also, yes. Two people at our table said that it was their 2nd brunch there, but they’d stick with giving them service at dinner time since they’ve always said it’s exceptional. I’ll definitely go back for dinner as the number of 5 ratings has to be a testament to them :) no notes on wait staff- incredible.

We had the most fantastic experience here last night!! There were no reservations available for the times that we wanted so we winged it and went in hoping for a seat at the bar. Carlin helped us right away and got us a couple of glasses of wine while we waited and let us know which seats would be opening up and kept an eye on them for us. We moved to the open seats as soon as another couple finished and left. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. it was very busy and lively but not crazy or overly loud. Cocktail list is creative and impressive. We had oysters, mussels, salted beets, steak frites and the hazelnut dessert with a latte and Irish coffee. Manhattan and sidecar from the cocktail menu for both delicious and the armagnac selection was stellar. Everything was spectacular! Can't say enough about The level of attention and professionalism that Carlin provided... Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He took such good care of us ... Sardine is lucky to have him on staff. The two female bartenders working were also wonderful. We will be back!!

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy fresh oysters and delicious seafood, this is a great spot to try. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family. They also offer a wide selection of drinks, which you can enjoy while taking in the beautiful lake view. It’s definitely worth a visit if you want to savor good food and a nice view at the same time.

Had a nice brunch and the French toast was really good. I got the brunch special that day and the French toast was a recommendation. The restaurant is right next to a lake so it is a nice view if you sit outside.

Lazy Jane's Cafe and Bakery is a popular American spot located on Madison's east side, known for its breakfast and lunch fare as well as signature scones. The cafe is housed in an old building that still retains a cozy, homey atmosphere with unique decor and antique furniture. Their buttermilk pancakes, once only available on weekends, are now a daily delight crafted by the cafe's four chefs.
Wow, this one really exceeded my expectations. Cool building on a cool street. Absolutely loved the Seitan Hash, which was very filling - even had to save my vegan lemon scone for later. Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items in the future!

Late August 2025: tasty, good service, but our breakfast was like $50 for two adults and one kid. We got an order of scrambled eggs with toast and bacon, 3 scones at about $5 each, and coffee -- about $37 including tip; then an additional side of toast and bacon totaling $8. Nice place, but next time we might cook at home to save money. The scones, however, are delicious. Love this place but wish it were more affordable. I understand food is expensive right now.

Excellent locally owned restaurant with delicious food, amazing stuff, cute and funky decorations and two levels for dining. You order at the counter, drinks are given there and then a buzzer given for you to pick up your food when ready. They have a variety of delicious scones too. Coffee is superb!

Egg cheese meet breakfast sandwich. Just OK. Nothing special for the price. Over priced. Scones great but $$$. Coffee. Nothing special about the coffee. Place was packed ~10am on a Saturday. Had to wait for table. Clean. I will most likely be back because of my daughter.

The Old Fashioned is a retro-style tavern in Wisconsin that offers a quintessential experience of the state's cuisine. It features beers, brats, and cheese curds sourced locally. The restaurant provides outdoor seating and is located in Madison, a city known for its diverse culinary scene. The establishment is recommended for those seeking classic Wisconsin fare and an authentic dining experience.
Really cool place to hold a venue upstairs... Definitely had great feedback regarding the food.. Our server had no problems setting up the room to our needs. However, was not attentive to our group. And we had to seek her out several times.. She was not very community or grateful at the end of the evening. It would have been a much better experience if we had a different server... it wasn't "horrible" because of her.... Just could have been a better experience!! It was a great building, a great space and we would come back again
Tracy K — Google review
Our driver to the hotel was a local that recommended this place. Short walk to where we stayed, had everything on our list to want to try in Wisconsin, so we made the visit to The Old Fashion. Atmosphere was pub-like and host were friendly. We were sat upstairs where it was definitely a lot cooler in temp. Ordered cheese curds and poutine right away. We also tried out the classic old fashion was sweet and tasty. Altogether we ordered Mac and cheese, fried walleye and patty melt for our mains. Everything was okay. The cheese curds were salty and seemed like they may have been sitting so they didn’t have that cheesy effect I was expecting. I had the walleye (as pictured) not as good as I thought it would be. Bland in taste but my favorite of everything I ate were the fries. Considering the number of reviews and the fact that they’re well known for their cheese curds, I was rather disappointed in the visit. Had great company and glad I got to at least give this place a try.
Ashley S — Google review
Cute old-style decoration inside, and great view on the Capitol outside. Great vibes. Was expecting a dark crowded place, but it felt spacious with plenty of natural light. Now, we were happy to taste Wisconsin specialties, but not brave enough not finish anything. Nothing to blame on the preparations, was better than what we ate at other places, but so greasy, so heavy. You need lots of alcohol to burn all this hard stuff. And a 1w of veggie diet to rebalance your stomach. And I'm still looking for real 🧀
Sylvain F — Google review
Must stop here for their old fashioned. We also tried their cheese curds and lunch specials. Delicious seasonal sandwiches offered in the summer - smothered sandwiches and fresh heirloom tomato BLT’s! This is also the spot to go for their namesake old fashioned if you drink alcohol. My favorite items was their cheese curds though. It was crispy and not too oily!
Devi — Google review
The Old Fashioned is a true Madison staple. The food and service are consistently reliable, and it’s one of the best places to experience classic Midwestern comfort food. The cheese curds are some of the best in town—crispy, melty, and always satisfying. Portion sizes are generous, making it a great spot whether you're sharing with friends or looking for a hearty solo meal. It’s the kind of place that feels familiar, even on your first visit.
Nicholas S — Google review
The atmosphere here was great and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. We tried the cheese curds, those weren’t my favorite. However, the root beer on tap was incredible! For the entree I had the Mac and Cheese but I asked to add chicken to it so I had some protein too. They were happy to do so and it was more than enough for me! I will go back the next time I’m through the area!

This restaurant is a must in Madison. Located right across the street from the State Capitol in downtown Madison. The service is hospitable from the time you enter the door til you leave. The service is a well run engine smooth and consistent. The servers are quick and great with following up with their patrons. The food is hands down great. If you like salty and savory, the Pountine are fries, cheese curds topped with sausage gravy. Those cheese curds are yummy! We also tried the Schnitzel, Reuben,, Fish and Chips, and the Salmon Salad all of the dishes can hold their own in terms of flavor. The Schnitzel is a hefty portion and you will definitely have left overs. Overall, a great dining experience.

The café is popular for brunch, especially during winter when they provide domes for outdoor enjoyment even on chilly days. This is a huge restaurant with lots of sitting options. The outdoor rooftop area was so nice on a beautiful day. The cocktails were delicious! The lunch menu had a variety of options.

I don’t frequently go to chain restaurants but I happened to be in Hilldale area in Madison and decided to grab a bite to eat at this location of Cafe Hollander . There was no wait and we were immediately seated which was great . Hostess was really nice and pleasant . Our server brought our menus and explained the basics . She was also very nice and did a good job . Menu had a big beer selection and a variety of pub style food . Many vegetarian and gluten free options as well which was nice to see . I chose the Sangria to quench my thirst and it was good and very refreshing! I was not very hungry so I got the bruschetta flatbread . I had asked our server if it was enough for one person and she explained it was a good portion . I enjoyed it ! Restaurant was quiet and that was okay for me . Service was good and fast . Would come back again to try out other dishes again

Wonderful outdoor seating! I ordered the Americana with over medium eggs and bacon. My mom ordered the Breakfast Tacos. My food was hot and delicious and the breakfast potatoes were particularly tasty. I’m not a fan of multigrain toast though. I had one of the tacos too and they were super yummy and filling. They were also decently spicy but like a flavorful spicy. If I happen to be at Hilldale again, I’d love to stop by and try their dinner!

This is a place I keep coming back to everything I've tried here is always delicious. The only small hiccup is the service: after being seated, it took a little while to be greeted by a server. Once we connected, our server was friendly and attentive, though water didn’t come with our drinks. Overall, the food and atmosphere are fantastic.

The food is absolutely delicious—every dish we had was perfectly executed and seasoned. The service was also impeccable; our server was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The only downside? The line is incredibly long, and the wait can be significant. However, given the quality of the food and the excellent staff, it is absolutely worth the wait!

What is not to love here? Great atmosphere, large drink selection and the cocktails are tasty! Food menu is lovely, and some items are unique and my beet burger was delicious! DLUX is an upscale haunt that offers gourmet burgers and artisanal cocktails in a modern, trendy setting. It's located near the Capitol and surrounded by important state buildings. The eatery is popular for its mouth-watering burgers, milkshakes, and deep cheese fries. On weekends, it offers a Weekend Recovery menu with boozy brunch options like the brunch-a-rita, build-your-own Bloody Mary, espresso milkshake cocktail, and bottomless mimosas for $10.
This was my husband & I's first time here. All i have to say is Amazing place, the owner knows what they are doing & have has a great staff! Walked in without a reservation & were lucky enough to be offered a spot at the bar. Drew, the bartender, was awesome & helpful! Our waitress Terra, was one of the best waitresses we have had in a while! The white chicken chili was seasoned perfectly, the fried pickles had the perfect amount of cruch & once again the seasoning, perfect. The burgers were fantastic! We ordered the smoke show with parmesan truffle fries & The OG with parmesan tots. Also, black cherry craft soda, PERFECT! AWESOME FOOD, ATMOSPHERE, & SERVICE!
Serena D — Google review
Here’s an honest review: the outside sitting is a nice, cheese curds are soggy with no crunch, the burgers are good but greasy, I got the double and finished it all, the sweet potato fries are good too. The bottomless mimosas are a hit here and are worth it if you’re debating on getting. The waiter forgot about us at the end of the visit so it took a while to get the check. Water wasn’t refilled consistently.

Overpriced - $15 for veggie burgers and we had to pay additional for side of fries. Burger tasted okay. Cheese curds were delicious. Service was quick. We ordered drink and noticed a small fly at the bottom of the glass. Staff is friendly, but food is really below par. Was really disappointed with the experience.
Samruddhi K — Google review
Pretty much our favorite place to grab a burger (for now). Their burgers are far from fancy or elegant but they’re just so good! They specialize in smash burgers - my favorite is The OG while my fiancé’s is the Mushroom Swiss (which is really good, too). Their cheese curds are fire - they use a yellow cheddar as opposed to a lot of other restaurants which use a white cheddar. They also have a good selection of drinks on tap! Oh and their burgers are reasonably priced. You should definitely try this place if you’re in the mood for a good burger.
Daniel W — Google review
We liked the atmosphere at Dlux and the service wad good. We made a reservation for two and got a nice table inside. We ordered mojitos, cheese curds, three sliders, and a bacon and egg sandwich. The curds were very good. They were hot and crispy and had a lovely seasoning. The filling of the sliders and sandwich were delicious, however....the buns were terrible. It was like eating air and sand at the same time. If they got some local buns it would easily be a five star rating. Do not order anything with a bun here unless you want to be disappointed.
Megan B — Google review
This place has an excellent atmosphere. We had a reservation for 8, but they were willing to seat us at 7:30 which was very nice! Staff was friendly and efficient. The drinks were a 10/10. We had the sugar momma which was a grapefruit vodka concoction and the Moscow mojito which was refreshing with a sweet dry finish. Cheese curds were well battered and came with a great dipping sauce. The burgers were a solid 9/10, the black and blue was absolutely to die for and the smoke show was very good! The green onion fries were disappointing, we thought they might be seasoned but they just had some cheese and green onions sliced on top, but the sweet potatoes fries were perfection! We would gladly eat here again! It seemed like it had date night vibes and was a really fun place to try. Total bill with tip was around $65.

Always enjoy coming back here. Food, ambience, and service is a solid 10/10. Love the outdoor patio dining with a beautiful view of the Stare Capitol. We went in on a Sunday night and we were immediately seated. Ordered the famous pickles fries, you can’t visit DLUX and not order the pickle fries. Also we got the cheese curds and wings , loved them both. The spicy Hawaiian burger was a group favorite and so was the impossible standard. The impossible burger tasted so much like the real burger. WELL DONE!! The burgers are of premium quality, one of the best burger places in town. Simply Superb!! The drinks are a 10/10 as well. I am sad that they no longer have the salmon burger on the menu. That was another favorite of mine Also the shakes are the best here, do try it out . Check out DLUX for yummy burgers, apps, and shakes.
Farah A — Google review
As other reviewers have mentioned, this place has a killer atmosphere! I enjoyed the creative layout just as much as the food. I tried the toasted marshmallow shake that came with a couple little skewered marshmallows on the top, which I thought was a nice touch. For appetizers, we tried the cheese curds and fried pickles. Both were super good. The curds had a great crispy breading. The pickles were actually in the sliced disc-form, which was surprising as I expected them to be more in the skewer shape as they are at most places. This difference actually seemed to seal in more flavor, while also making them easier to eat/dip. The bean burger was yummy. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that their non-meat options were creative and not just whatever frozen veggie patty they could throw in a bun with some lettuce (which is usually the case at most places). My white bean burger came with lots of toppings, including little crispy tortilla strips, pepperjack cheese, chili, and even a fried egg! I also got the truffle fries on the side. I kind of wish I had gotten regular fries, as the topping was a bit heavy/goopy. Just a personal preference, I’m sure plenty of people enjoy them that way. Overall, I had a very nice experience here. Service staff was friendly and it was just a very enjoyable place to be.

What a classic and beautiful place to have a meal. Our waiter was amazing and attentive. Plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating when we arrived at 10am. The only annoying thing was the train that came by and blew it's horn.
Colin E — Google review
La Brioche is just as busy as Marigold Kitchen, despite not close to the square and having much more ample seating. The quality of the food is consistent. Everything from the pastries and the coffee to the breakfast tacos and made-to-order egg scrambles are top notch every time. Very reasonably priced, which is why this place is so busy. You have to get used to the service not being great. Long waits to get orders taken, few check-ups, takes forever to get your check, etc. La Brioche is a solid brunch for a lazy Sunday and the food will not disappoint. However, if you are in a rush or nit-picky about expedient service, this likely isn’t the place for you. And this place is never quiet. You can have a pleasant conversation but quiet is never a good adjective to describe the atmosphere.

Madison Sourdough is a bustling bakery and cafe located in a vibrant neighborhood. It's a popular spot for locals to gather over gourmet breakfast and lunch offerings, including soups, quiches, and sandwiches. The real star of the show, however, is their beautifully crusty sourdough bread made from Wisconsin-grown wheat. The bakery prides itself on using local ingredients and grains native to Wisconsin to create nourishing food from scratch.
Excellent service and atmosphere. I have been twice in the past two days—both breakfast and lunch are fabulous. Stand out croissants and dessert. A little expensive for the area but (I think) worth it!

Update: They have not attempted to reach out to us. All they seem to do is ignore and only thank people who say positive things about them. We’re not going to you guys again. We ordered a $60 cake for my sister’s birthday, and unfortunately, it was handled poorly. When we removed the cake out of its flimsy box, we saw the sides were damaged. The staff packaged it away from the counter, so we couldn’t see how it was being prepared. While the cake itself tasted okay, the packaging was terrible. If anyone else has received a cake in this condition, I encourage you to leave a review so they can improve their packaging process. One of my sisters used to work in the Whole Foods bakery, and they switched from boxes to plastic containers after customers had similar issues. For the price we paid, we definitely deserve a partial refund.

Just moved to Middleton from Atlanta and decided to check out The Original Pancake House today. Wow — the food was absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly! I couldn't believe how huge the portions were. I had the mushroom crêpes, bacon, and sausage — everything hit the spot. It's definitely a new favorite!

I did not eat inside, but was lucky enough to order their take-out service which is sometimes not available because they are so busy. This is one of the best breakfasts I've had in Madison. Don't sleep on their breakfast burrito. The homemade salsa was fantastic. My boyfriend had the Western omelet and it looked massive and delicious. We also tried the sourdough pancakes which were really good as well. I am so excited to dine in soon.

Tasty Dutch Baby. Nice service, but they were busy so being sat next to the kitchen area meant a lot of server traffic always near us. We felt a little cramped at our four top table, but I bet a booth is great! The black tea wasn't good, but pretty typical for diner fare.

This is truly one of the best restaurants. Management is wonderful and staff are all so well trained, polite, and attentive. Food is always fantastic and prices are very reasonable. Fresh squeezed orange juice is actually fresh squeezed. Fruit is so fresh, and food is always hot. I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience.

A Madison favorite!! The food and service are exceptional!! I have enjoyed everything I have ever ordered. When my daughter is in town, this is where she wants to go for breakfast!! Amounts are quite large so I end up being half my meal home to enjoy later! If you are coming on a Sunday, arrive before 9 as it becomes very busy and people are more than willing to wait!

Wow, what a great breakfast experience. The daily scrambler today was amazing. Super tasty and unique. Their donut muffins are really tasty as well and just the right size. Awesome customer service. My second visit in the last 3 days. I will certainly be back soon.

I've visited Crema Cafe a few times and it's always great. The cozy little space is perfect for a lunch with a friend or to work solo. They make a dang good chai latte. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Gobbler and it was delicious. The food was delivered very fast and the Crema staff are always so friendly. If you're in the Monona area, it's definitely worth checking out!

This place is amazing! Was extremely packed at 9 AM on a Friday. Pictured below are the Blueberry Oatcakes, the Breakfast Burger, and the Breakfast Sandwich. All three dishes were absolutely delicious! It was my first time having blueberry oatcakes, and they really hit the spot! Absolutely mouth-watering and full of flavor. Will definitely be coming back to this establishment!

I did a pickup order and had the breakfast sandwich and a caramel latte. The cheddar herb cream cheese really made the sandwich! Delicious! I should've just ordered a standard latte because I didn't much care for the caramel flavoring. Ordering online was super fast. They quoted 25 minutes but it was ready (notified via text) in about 5 minutes. They have a separate area for pickup so you don't have to wait in line to pickup your food. Would love to come back and try some other items next time!

We had a great time at brunch. It was busy - it seems popular with young families. We had the daily scramble and the blueberry basil waffle special, and both were excellent. The waffle was especially impressive with house made berry compote and flavored whipped butter. Overall this place seems quite a high value for the price point. They have very efficient counter service and a laid back atmosphere. Casual or even workout clothes for right in. The space is brightly lit and cheery.

Wife wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. I hadn't been before and we had an outside table, of which there's about 4 and they abut the parking lot. I found my sandwich to be tasty (burger) and found it an overall good experience. Not sure I'll make the drive again just for the food, but it's clearly a popular place with a variety of menu choices.

First time at Crema Cafe. I was surprised to arrive midday on Tuesday and find it so extremely busy. I ordered the beets and greens salad, side of the homemade turkey sausage with a matcha latte. The food was very good, excellent flavors with spices in sausage and salad combo with grated cheese, cranberries and walnuts with golden beets and greens was really good.

Ordered an Artimelt (artichoke sandwich) and The Roman (zucchini and red pepper sandwich) via the Toast app. The food was done on time when we picked it up. Both sandwiches were delicious and tasty. Really liked the chili lime chips that came with them! We would definitely return to try more. Perhaps something from the breakfast menu!

Ogden's North Street Diner is a trendy establishment that serves classic diner dishes, including breakfast favorites and burgers. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, with a bustling vibe. Customers highly recommend the tofu scramble at Lazy Janes, but Ogden's version is superior (notably because the owner used to work at Lazy Janes). On Saturdays, families can enjoy up to two free kids meals per table when accompanied by a paying adult.
The French Toast was 🔥 def recommend. It may be tough getting a table right away if you have more than 2 folks as the space is small, so early birds… this one is for you

This place is killer! Our server was amazing and upbeat and helpful. This place has so much atmosphere! It's very tiny and there was about a 20 minute wait for a table. Totally worth it and made the experience more intriguing. We're not from Madison and try to find places just like this one every trip over. The Ham and cheese omelet was perfect and the hash browns crispy. My wife said the BLT was was impressive. Try the blueberry pie! WoW!!! It's a pie crust cup filled with slightly sweetened berries and it is *amazing*.

I absolutely love coming here with my wife on weekend mornings. It is a small space and plan to have a bit of a wait, we usually will walk down with our coffee and drink it outside while we wait for a table. Amazing food, awesome service, and such a great local neighborhood atmosphere. My sister also loves it, and now every time she visits we make sure to go! It is the type of neighborhood spot that makes memories and traditions. My only suggestion would be to include more coffee variations on the menu, but that's becuase I am a lover for sweet coffee and espresso drinks. My favorite is the pigs in the blanket!

Stopped by here with my family when traveling through Madison. The breakfast looked delicious in the google photos and it was as delicious as it looked. The ingredients were so fresh and skillfully prepared. Although this place is small, their efficiency keeps the flow moving and we were seated within 20 minutes and didn’t wait long for our food. I recommend the blueberry pancakes with a side of (super fresh!) sausage. My son and husband loved the perfectly cooked hashbrowns in their meal. Cute place, friendly staff, delicious food. Wrote the review so I’ll remember to stop by again!

I normally don’t make reviews, but I had to once I tasted their food I wish I could give this place a 100 stars The staff is so quick at cooking baby I will be back I love it here these people know how to make a meal if your looking for a good place to go this is a must try and to the owner your staff is a 10 out of 10 honey

We really loved the atmosphere and our servers were very nice and frequent. The coffee was sweet and smooth. I got the classic; bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. I had nothing left on my plate. The bacon was amazing. The bread was nice and thick. The eggs were exactly how I wanted them. The hashbrowns were awesome. It was all fresh as well. My wife got the omelette of the day and it was all fresh. The atmosphere was very open and friendly. There were older folks and business peoples there as well.

Best breakfast I've had in years. The blueberry pancakes were to die for. The hashbrowns were crispy but fluffy inside. Link sausage was savory. The service was friendly and fast. A surprising improvement! Have dined here before, always like the food, but service did not impress. Tonight was the exception. Our server (Kylie I believe) was friendly, timely and relaxing. Food runners did a great job as well, no long wait times and everyone seemed polite and helpful. Thank you! Will be back again soon. 👍🏼

Great tavern with a nice menu and draft beer selection. We went on the weekend and brunch menu was in effect, so I tried the breakfast burrito. It was delicious with just the right amount of cheese topping. I did think halfway thru that maybe having the cheese topping dip versus smothered would make it easier to eat it as a handheld, but was great regardless. Their kids menu was also a good variety and very affordable versus other nearby places. Our server was very friendly and prompt. I’d definitely return.

Great location. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Great menu. Friendly server. Service a little slow. Poutine disappointing (dry unsalted fries, one big lump of cheese making sharing difficult, not enough gravy) but the rest of the food was enjoyed.

I was so excited to finally experience Cooper's Tavern with a gift card I received. Reading positive reviews and seeing how busy it was, my hopes were really high for a fantastic meal. We sat outside to avoid a wait to be seated. We started with some good cheese curds, which were a promising start. Isabelle was our server and she explained some items on the menu, which I had questions about. For my main, I decided on the pork belly mac and cheese (without blue cheese) after much deliberation. Sadly, after a rather long wait, the dish was a major letdown. It was surprisingly bland, and even the three pork cubes on top lacked any flavor. Despite being very hungry, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. It's a shame when expectations don't meet reality. I explained to Isabelle when she noticed that I wasn't eating my food that I was dissatisfied, before walking away, she shrugged and said, "Well, it's mac and cheese."

Whole family loved their food. Cheese curds & the pretzel were great starters. Yummy burgers & I enjoyed the Chicken Caesar Salad! One family member had the grilled cheese & said it was good, but a little spicy! Great beer selection - nice to see other nitro beer options on top of Guinness! Both the waiter & host were friendly and attentive! Wish we lived closer - we would visit here more often.

The Coopers Tavern, by far their fried cheese curds, were the best. I gave them 5 stars for the cheese curds and Adams soup. My 3 steak sliders were not what I expected. The patties were tender but very bland even with the caramelized onions on top. It needed a little salt. The pretzel buns were good, soft, and fresh. The Adam's soup was delicious, creamy, and flavorful. I could eat a big bowl of it with the cheese curds and would be satisfied for the entire day. My husband's kimchi smashed burger was delightful, very tast. The kimchi was delicious!!! Service was fast, fully happy with the quick service since I was starving. Next time I'm in Madison, I will dine at Coopers again.

La Taguara is a popular Venezuelan and Latin American restaurant located just a few miles away from the Wisconsin State Capitol in downtown Madison. It offers traditional dishes, including options for vegans, vegetarians, and those with gluten-free diets. The restaurant's cozy interior and friendly atmosphere make it a charming spot to enjoy homestyle Caribbean flavors. One of its most beloved dishes is the Pabellon criollo, Venezuela's national dish.
Delicious food that was freshly made. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the portions justified price. Absolutely worth it and we're excited to go again. Yum 😋

La Taguara in Madison, Wisconsin, is an absolute gem that truly deserves a five-star rating! I was initially hoping to try the passion fruit, but since it wasn't available, I opted for the sugarcane lemonade, and I'm so glad I did! It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced, a delightful surprise. For our meal, we enjoyed the delicious empanadas—two savory chicken and one perfectly seasoned ground beef. I also ordered the Pabellón a Caballo, which was fantastic. The tender shredded beef, black beans, and plantains topped with an egg were all incredibly flavorful. My partner raved about their Cubano sandwich, which was also fantastic. Every dish was prepared with care and bursting with authentic flavor. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was excellent. We had a truly memorable dining experience and can't wait to go back! Highly, highly recommend La Taguara for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Latin cuisine.

We were on vacation in the Madison area and happened to find this restaurant. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was simple but had amazing flavor. It was fun to try new food. It’s by far the BEST food I’ve had at any restaurant in a long time. We shared the Pabellón and arepas with shredded chicken and avocado so we could try two different dishes. I couldn’t stop saying how good the food was! The arepas were my favorite. I eat gluten free and dairy free and the guy at the counter was super helpful giving me multiple options and suggestions. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer so I felt very safe eating here. We can’t wait until we’re back in Madison so we can eat here again!
Challah A — Google review
This self-service Venezuelan place packs ton of flavor in their dishes. Pabellón a caballo is particularly impressive with perfectly shredded beef, plantain and sunny side up fried egg. Strongly suggest skipping kids menu if possible. Otherwise, great choice on the east side despite higher prices for a casual dining.
Kiljoong K — Google review
The empanadas are pretty alright. The guy at the counter was really nice. I really have nothing bad to say really, which is a first for this neighborhood. Edit: I've had some post-nut clarity about the empanadas I got. They were mid at best and very overpriced... Three and a half stars.

I'm no expert but seemed authentic! Delicious food. Friendly and helpful service. Food was hot and fresh to order. My lunch special was 12.99 plus tax. Arepa, empanada and salad or soup. Choice of filling. Salad had passionfruit dressing on side. Great lunch and you can even watch food being cooked!

La Taguara on East Washington is a gem. They serve absolutely delicious Venezuelan food, prepared with care and full of flavor. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming that it feels like you’re among friends the moment you walk in. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate how easy it is for me to find plenty of options—almost everything I’d like to eat, they can accommodate. The arepas are wonderful and oh-so-filling, the yucca fries and plantains are unbeatable, and their fantastic sauces tie it all together perfectly. Everything about this place is fantastic… well, except that they sell Pepsi-but that’s easy to forgive when the food and service are this good. Highly recommended! Please go. I only wish I could go more often.

Eldorado Grill is a casual eatery with Southwestern decor that offers Tex-Mex and barbecue favorites along with margaritas. The restaurant is located in a vibrant area of Madison, surrounded by other dining options. One of its standout dishes is the massive chicken-fried chicken served with creamy white bacon gravy, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, and a sweet corn cake.
Surprisingly impressed by this place. Something about their name, cuisine style, and the fact I could easily get a reservation had my expectations low. But the menu options, food presentation, and taste was up there with the best Madison brunches. I do think they do themselves an injustice going for the "old style saloon" ambience as it is not working. To be frank it just comes across as poorly maintained, the tables and chairs need replacing. I'd also suggest cutting the word "grill" from their name to modernize a bit. But I want to try other menu items and intend to go back. They have their own parking lot.

Tequila drinks, tacos, repeat! Very knowledgeable bar team, especially on varieties of tequila; one of them took the time to educate me and break down different grades etc. Was a great experience to learn something new. I recommend the spot for drinks, apps, tacos and brunch. Had dinner couple times and was not that great. Its a casual atmosphere, easy parking, and great tacos. If you love spicy ask about the pineapple habanero sauce, made in-house and its amazing. Their happy hour deals are fantastic especially if you are taking a big group out. Drinks and some apps are both on happy hour. They also have a mini outdoor deck, great for summer months. Post Pandemic… new menu, great additions. Brunches and happy hours still the best events. Enjoy!

Eldorado has reopened and they have a new menu. Excited to be back here again. We started with their salsa, they have so many to chose from. We tried the Serrano Fresca and Mango-Pineapple and loved them both. We tried a couple of the small plates, tostadas, and the mains. The food was good and nicely presented. The restaurant is busy so make reservations. The service is a slow but that could be because of how busy the kitchen is. Overall a good experience.
Farah A — Google review
We went to Eldorado recently for their weekend brunch. Service was a little slow, as we've noticed in the past, at least on weekends, but fine otherwise. We got chips and salsa and a couple of margaritas to start, then the Huevos Rancheros and Mango French Toast for meals. The chips were nicely crispy, the margaritas were fresh and tasty, and the entrees were very solid. The French toast in particular was good, with a very healthy amount of mango compote on top and a good balance of richness and crisp on the toast. A nice option if you need a change of pace in your weekend breakfast plans.

I have loved Eldorado for years! They are consistently one of the best places in town for a vegetarian brunch and even have some vegan options too. Service could use some work, but the food was amazing (except for the black beans - why are they so sweet?!). If you’re going to drink booze with your brunch, the Boozy Brunch for $27 is a steal with delicious bottomless coffee to boot.

I haven't written a poor restaurant review in a while. I just wasted $86. My waiter did everything to keep me from tipping him. (I did tip him) He was inattentive and it was a challenge to get him to refill my water glass. My son and I were sharing two appetizers and asked for two small plates which never came. When I asked him about it he smiled and said he forgot because he had other tables. The room was half empty. My son's grilled meat plate was dry. My fish tacos had a one inch piece of fish on a taco the size of a 1/2 dollar piece. Very disappointing dining experience.

Super sweet and attentive. They were very busy while we were there but it seemed like everyone was getting prompt service. Really felt welcome

I had a great time at Daisy's with their delicious food and friendly service. I had previously heard wonderful things about Daisy's from a friend and I am glad to have tried it today (on a Friday)! There were already quite a few people right at Daisy's opening time (@11am) and it only got busier from there. It does have a parking lot but it is rather small, so I would highly recommend arriving early, especially during the weekend. Although, there is also some street parking. The menu had a large array of breakfast and brunch items with many vegetarian options which was awesome to see. I had the Denver Strata, my husband had the chorizo burger, and my brother had the meatloaf. All of these dishes were wonderful comfort meals and I enjoyed each dish (obviously I had to get a little taste of each!). The dishes were not over or under seasoned at all and the meals were well portioned. I also purchased a few of their cupcakes (carrot cake, banana cream, mocha, lemon cherry) and they were delicious! My personal favorite was the carrot cake with it's beautiful fall spices and light cream cheese frosting. I would highly recommend giving the seasonal flavors a shot! Overall, my experience was a solid 5/5 and would love to come again to try their other dishes!

Chicken in the mac-n-cheese dish was too dry. Also the biscuits and gravy dish should be renamed “biscuits and curry” so there are no surprises in what one orders. The dish tasted good as I like curry, but just not the flavors one would expect when ordering biscuits and gravy. Huevos rancheros had a lot of fresh tasting vegetables and the sides of eggs were cooked to perfection. Service was fine, employees were nice enough. I would come back but probably just for the chocolate cupcake.

What a beautiful spot! The food is as good as the atmosphere and every employee we interacted with was wonderful. I also really respect that they closed the outdoor seating on a heat advisory day; it's great to see a business lookout for their employees well-being. The espresso drinks were delicious as well!

My wife and I went here awhile ago to place a breakfast order to-go. When we got home, I checked the food because we ordered food with runny eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly and weren't broken during the drive home. The food tasted delicious. We ordered chorizo biscuits and gravy for my wife and I had Steak hash browns. The flavor was so good and I have been wanting to go back ever since. We also had a couple of cupcakes that were great too! Definitely stop here for breakfast or for some sweet treats!

This restaurant is in a really unique spot—right in the private plane area of the airport! It’s a great place for aviation lovers and especially fun for kids. While we were there, we saw several private and even military planes taking off and landing. I must have seen three, four, maybe even five planes come and go—very cool experience! The sights and sounds of the planes make this place something special. Our waitress was awesome—super friendly and helpful. The food came out really fast, which was a big plus. One thing to keep in mind: they do not take credit cards, so make sure to bring cash. Overall, a great spot with a fun view and good service!

Visited the Jet Room for a late breakfast. There is no signage outside the building for the restaurant. If it wasn't for other Google reviews, I never would've known it was there. Like many other reviewers noted, we did have to wait about 35 minutes for a seating (for 2), but it ended up being well worth the wait. Got to watch some F-18s taxi to the runway and take off while we waited. The food was amazing, can tell they use quality ingredients. Make sure to order a cinnamon roll. They are outstanding. The service was very friendly and attentive. Very kid friendly and noticed several families with small children. Will definitely be back again next time we are in the neighborhood.

This is the place! We've been to several airport cafes and the Jet Room is top of the list! The food was fabulous - fresh, hot, wholesome, reasonably priced. The service (Jessica was fantastic) was outstanding. Accommodating to dietary issues, friendly, and overall a great spirit. The wait was minimal and the views of the airport were great! Definitely requires a repeat visit to try the burgers and other lunch treasures!

The menu features a variety of gluten-free dishes, including truffle fries, calamari, cauliflower fundido, Thai-style crispy chicken, butternut squash curry, and black currant-marinated salmon.
This is a very cute restaurant with great food. The Parmesan truffle fires were delicious and I highly recommend. The fish tacos were also very delicious, I wish they had more sauce but that’s all I would change. They have a nice area outside for seating, which was perfect for the summer evening. I would definitely come back!

Ate dinner here because there were good vegetarian options. That was true and the food was generally good. We started with the fried artichoke which we found was okay. The sauce provided most of the flavor. I would not order this again. For mains we had the salmon, the grain bowl and the Pozole Verde. The salmon was very good. The grain bowl was fine, but it’s mostly cold, not a hot meal, if you care about that. I loved the Pozole Verde. Beware that it’s kinda spicy. I thought it was great but others tasted it and found it too hot. The service was fine until the end when the server took some of the plates away before everyone was finished which is a complaint of mine. Then she gave us the check, took the credit card and returned bill never clearing the dirty plates while we sat there and chatted. It’s fine to the clear the plates when we’re done. Food was good and we’d go again. Place was clearing out and server was maybe in a rush.

Been here about 3 times now, and always a great experience :) cocktails are delicious, service is usually prompt, and food is wonderful. My ONE note is more for vegetarians in that the tofu isn’t the best seasoned/prepared. THAT said, it’s usually an additive for a salad that doesn’t need it as they are quality dishes by themselves. My parents who are extremely picky eaters loved it. Easy endorsement and ready for the next visit :)

We decided to try this out for the first time and we were not disappointed. Our server was great, the food was great ( I do wish we would have made it for brunch as the menu did shift some) and the location was perfect. They do have outdoor seating options but be prepared for some flies, which I just feel a good pressure wash of the patio would take care of. We also did happen to can’t the happy hour, which was a plus!

My team decided to celebrate the start of the cricket season at Everly. We made our reservation for 10 people and everything went smoothly. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The table was big enough for everyone. I must say it was maybe a little too big to reach the foot bar lol. Our server took care of us right away with drinks. Answered all our questions and was very helpful and cordial. Drinks were fantastic! I had the About Bloody Thyme. So refreshing!!! Food was served at a reasonable time and all dishes were served altogether so no one had to wait. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the Green Pozole and was very happy with my choice. I’ve never seen pozole this fancy. We decided to skip desert and get our bills. I was very impressed and pleased to see we were allowed to pay separately. That is not always the case. Bathrooms were cleaned, they have hooks available for coats and/or purses, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the lights are amazing, both natural and artificial. Overall, it was a great experience!!!

Really cute restaurant with great service and unique food. A fun variety with a menu that changes often enough to stay surprising. I've been a few times and it's always consistently good.

Let’s start with the positive. The truffle fries were very good. Great flavor. I did make a reservation b/c I figured that they will be busy. I arrived 20 min early and the female host with dark wavy hair past her shoulders sat me. The tall multiracial eccentric looking gentleman, just seemed confused. Very confused. I was slightly frustrated with him, b/c he seemed so lost about his job but the woman who sat us helped him out. Thank God for her. When we were sat, we waited for at least 10 min, we weren’t acknowledged by our waitress with the beautifully red curly hair. She was nice. But if I were to ever come back I would never want to be waited on by her again. We had to ask for refills of water after I seen her look at our empty cups and keep walking. When I asked for straws she did bring them in napkins but she placed them on the table so fast they rolled out onto the table. The chicken and waffles .. The waffles taste like they were frozen and warmed up. They didn’t taste like they were freshly made - they were hard. The chicken, wasn’t that bad, the color of the batter was off it looked very light .. oddly light but the flavor was ok. Needed more seasoning. The syrup was thinly placed on there. I wish the waitress would have asked,”do you need more syrup”? The Sirloin Hash… It was ok, it definitely needed tomato salsa or a light pico de gallo for people who don’t like a “runny egg” or a sunny egg. I asked her could they cook the egg a little longer - I just didn’t want it runny and it came back hard < sigh >. A little more meat wouldn’t hurt either. At the end, she took at least 10 min to bring my change for the bill. I’m like what is going on!? The ambiance, the cleanliness, the polite female host, the truffle fries, barely brought my experience to 3 stars but here we are 🙂. 8/24/25 1:30pm

One of the best restaurants I had been to! I tried the truffle fries, Peruvian chicken skewers, fried artichoke and more (which do not have avocado in the sauce! One of our group members was allergic and the waiter confirmed there wasn’t any). The fried artichoke was my favorite, picture is the Korean chicken, which was good but not my pace so I traded my friend for their salmon BLT, which was also delicious! Within walking distance to a small park with a lake which was a nice afternoon walk.

Tip Top Tavern is a charming and cozy spot in Madison, offering a vintage atmosphere and serving up traditional dishes like grilled cheese and burgers. It's located at the heart of the city's bustling culinary scene, where it puts an inventive twist on beloved brunch classics. The menu seamlessly combines the comfort of traditional breakfast fare with a modern touch, featuring delightful options like Veggie Benedict with a zesty Hollandaise sauce.
So we stumbled upon here based on the good reviews that I saw on Reddit. I’ve never been to Madison before and was passing through back to Chicago. We came here and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the burgers were! I can honesty say this was one of the best burgers I have had. Big and juicy meat patty and big piece of cheese. Bun was nice and buttered. If you’ve seen the movie The Menu, this is what I imagine the cheeseburger being like. One of us got the veggie patty and also throughly enjoyed it. ———— Drinks 10/10 I got the apple cider and it tasted like juice. Liked the local selection of taps. Had spotted cow on tap. Burger 11/10 would come here for this alone Reuben sandwich 8/10 was good tasted cozy Veggie patty burger 8/10 pretty delicious, needed some more sauce though Cheese curds 10/10 only had cheese curds twice but these were nice plump and squishy Fried pickles 5/10 average, little overdone Sweet potato fries 3/10 were overdone for sure, probably get a side of cheese curds with my burger instead Service 2/10 didn’t seem like we were welcomed or offered any help if we had questions. Gave them lots of thank yous and was left with blank stares. I’m not sure if it was the local customs but it was my first visit to this city and it was amis

A hidden gem! We love going to this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Small little restaurant with patio seating (highly recommend when it’s nice out). The servings are a great size and the food is absolutely fantastic. We had the cheese curds as an appetizer and they were really good. We had two different burgers, Reuben, and mushroom melt with bacon. This place is dog friendly for those who are inclined to bring their four legged friends. Every time I’m in Madison, we usually make a stop here!

We had the pleasure of stopping here on a Saturday evening. It is very modest from the exterior, and the parking lot was small, but there was handicapped parking and extra parking on the street. The interior is lovely, with very tasteful lighting, wallpaper accents and simple seating. The tin ceiling was a treat and the other decor showed an appreciation for art deco with an eclectic vintage vibe. Well kept and clean, the wait staff was cheerful and busy, but attentive. Great background music had a nice jazzy feel, I found myself nodding to the beat as did the bartender. The menu contains some amusing wordplay, which was appreciated. We ordered “The Rooster” and split it between us. It was delicious and hit the spot, kind of an elevated BLT with egg. It came with a field green salad nicely dressed. The Summer Spritzer was very refreshing and light. They also offered a honey lavender lager, which sounded delicious but I was pleasantly full. Although we ate inside, there is also a fairly substantial patio area. This establishment is handicapped friendly with no stairs to navigate. Overall a wonderful dining experience with great service and a relaxing ambiance. Highly recommend.

We had a great meal on the patio! Everyone cleaned their plate. Excellent goat cheese salad, huge walleye filet, and tasty baked cod, and topped it all off with a scrumptious dessert. Wonderful neighborhood bar worth traveling across town for.

This was our first time dining here. Highly recommended now I know why! Wait time was a little long but we were informed of the wait time ahead of us being seated. Our fish dinner was wonderful with nice portions. Best fish we’ve had in a very long time. Our server was great always checking on us and very attentive to our needs. Cooks kiss! We will definitely be back. Thank you, well done!!

The beer was great and so was the Walleye dinner and cheese curds !!! Best walleye I've had yet and will be hard to beat! Prices are very fair and beer is not overpriced! My total was high due to how many beers I had myself.
Nigal G — Google review
This was a pleasant surprise. The diner across the street had a long wait and the cafe across the street only served pastry for food. My mother and I stopped here and ended up having a lovely brunch. The server was very friendly and helpful. The options were great and the food was good. I appreciated the option for a salad with breakfast. The self serve coffee was perfect for me. The prices felt like they were pre pandemic, very reasonable. I like the woody, cozy pub atmosphere, especially since there was still good sunlight in the front of the restaurant. They had the option of a spacious patio out back. It seemed like they were partnered with the Cabaret across the street, I saw many postings for upcoming performances on the walls. This seems like a great neighborhood spot.

IHOP is a well-established chain known for its diverse selection of pancakes and classic American breakfast and diner dishes. While some may prefer other chains, IHOP still offers a satisfying dining experience. Despite mixed reviews, many customers have enjoyed delicious meals and excellent service at various IHOP locations. Whether it's a hearty breakfast sampler or a late lunch of breakfast items, patrons have praised the food quality and attentive staff at different IHOP branches.
Wow! The food was awesome! The Country Fried Steak was above heavenly. My hashbrowns were perfect. The pancakes were perfect. The eggs were perfect. The coffee was perfect. The waitress was welcoming and friendly. The place had a quiet, chill atmosphere.

Are here early Sunday morning. I love the variety of food options here. It was my first time. I thought they only served pancakes, but it ranges all the way to steak and hamburgers as well. I ordered T-bone steak and the big steak omelet and the chocolate pancake. The T-bone steak itself was ok as it was too thin and not medium rare as I request it. The omelet was good and the chocolate pancakes good. There was not much to say about the atmosphere as there wasn’t much people there and it was awkwardly silent as there was no music on.

Worst meal ever. Only thing hot was coffee. Booth only 18 in from table. Entire meal cold. My crispy bacon was rubbery. Never asked how things were after serving. Basically ignored and restaurant not that busy. Never again 12+ for nothing. Tip was 3 cents change.

The server was the best thing about the place. Everything was dirty, food was cold. Sugar packets were stuck to their container with syrup. White substance on syrup container, beverage glasses were dirty. For the money we should have just went to McDonald's at least it would have been hot food.

Hostess greeted me with a huge smile. Waiter was a young man named Larry. His service was not expected at an IHOP. He was gracious in helping me make substitutions that for my need and had excellent timing. Food was good typical of IHOP but service was impressive.

The food is pretty tasty. Service is top-notch. Every time I've been there, late morning is pretty busy. The only problem I have with the restaurant is that it's small and can get pretty packed. Otherwise, they serve a pretty good breakfast.

5 minutes before close we walk in our server and only person beside the cook.told us we just made it then he happily seats and feeds a great meal. No complaints just what can I do for you. I missed his name and I apologize for that but, while talking to him we learned we were is second table of the night. After I shift like that he could’ve just said no I am ready to go home and not even deal. He chose a better, so I hope my tip helped his night!

1st time here: Place was pact: menu prices are surprisingly reasonable! (See pic for the menu) And I like they have real half & half creamers & honey. I have a walleye fish w/ hash-brown, 2 eggs & raisin toasts. Good place for breakfast!

I enjoyed the food well enough. It's pretty solid diner fare. I had the crab cakes Benedict along with some corned beef hash which was all good. The prices were crazy low so that was nice. The waitress was incredible attentive to helping me and even took some peoples' order in spanish which is cool. The manager did come out to shush the table next to me for, I guess, laughing too loud so that was weird. They were all Hispanic so it felt a little racist. Maybe they are just sensitive about noise from anyone even though I was sitting next to the "loud" table and it didn't bother me at all.

Stopped in for breakfast with a friend; we both got the steak and eggs. The steak was delicious. The scrambled eggs and hash browns weren't great. Toast was edible, but lower-quality bread. Prices were good and our waitress was polite & friendly.

Been here many times and normally the food is good... A good breakfast place. But this time the food was barely average and my wife's plate (she ordered a gyro) had some remnants of egg yoke on it. Our waitresses was great but we never heard from the manager about the dirty plate.

"The Curve" is a classic diner located just outside downtown Madison, offering hearty breakfasts and lunch plates in a no-frills setting. The establishment has an old-school vibe with a counter, stools, and a few tables. The service is prompt, and the food is described as delicious and scratch-made. The coffee is hot and strong, with attentive refills. This cash-only spot provides affordable prices for its tasty offerings.
At this point, my boyfriend and I are regulars. The food is always tasty, hot, and fast; the coffee is the same. The service Cathy and Christian provide is attentive and kind. Having a quick chat is like catching up with an old friend. They often have specials, 2 of which are show below. Spinach and cheese omelette, andouille sausage and eggs. We also got coffee and French toast which all came out to $30 plus, we have leftovers. I will go here until I move out of state, and even then I’ll make the effort to take a trip. Cash only, they have an ATM in back.

We made a huge mistake here at this local staple. We ordered TWO pancakes along with our meals. And not only were those guys enough to sate a Roman cohort, they were tasty as well. We got them with blueberries inside, which were perfect. The other meals are generous and well priced. There's not a huge variety on the menu, but you should be able to find something that hits your spot.

Great restaurant that has not changed in decades. Best coffee and pancakes I've had at a diner. I will return with the family to try lunch menu. Overall a great experience eating in a diner that is a true classic. Other diners try but cannot build same retro authentic spot. Cash only.

DISCLAIMER CASH ONLY. Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about it. The curve in Madison is an impeccably small diner with seating for about 30. If you remember any old movies with a diner in it, this is it . With the exception of the little outfits they wore in the 40s and 50s, this place takes you back almost to a time where small town folks get breakfast at the same place and time every day. Cathy waited on me and was extremely pleasant. She also knew every person who walked in and greeted them warmly. The food was great, and when you ask for "well done homefries" that's exactly what you get. Crispy fluffy golden brown excellence. Everything was made perfect and with care. I highly recommend stopping in and getting the real small town diner experience without all the hustle and bustle of the big town.

This one was a tuff one to review. The waitress was super friendly. Which in turn kept the review from a 3. 1st it's cash only. Has an atm inside but it had no cash inside so I had to go to a gas station to pay. 2nd, the restroom needs attention. Having tp on the floor was kinda gross. The toilet also has a serious wobble. The eggs were good. Fries/hashbrowns were interesting. The steak looked a bit small but was okay. Again the waitress was nice & had it not been for her the review would've been lower.

For the amount of time I've been to Madison and not come here, is a travesty. Great food (loved the breakfast burrito and my partner enjoyed the chicken wrap), super beer list (you will find a winner amongst the different styles offered, some of which are gabf winners). Went here on a Sunday, host was semi friendly, she did grab the food quickly. We all got wraps to go. Everyone else got sidewinder fries, i got a side salad. Wraps were well packed and fresh. If you love bottomless mimosas, this is the place to go. The brunch menu is a great accompaniment. All interesting but still comfortable choices. Great service and very vibrant wall art. Our favorite things to start off with are the pretzel appetizer and the Rip Rip chicken. We personally prefer garlic parmesan. the pretzels are fresh, soft, and hot, while the Rip Rip fried chicken thigh bits are juicy and delicious. We stopped in for Fathers day and ordered chimichurri steak and eggs. It was very disappointing, the eggs were covered in oil and the steak was over done. We let our server know and they were so kind and exchanged our dish for something else. Also they didn’t charge us for either of the dishes and also gave us one of drinks on the house. We have never had a problem there before that and they were very accommodating when we did. The replacement dish(ham, egg and cheese panini) was perfect. Also their Nashville chicken sandwich is delicious and juicy.

We were visiting from Colorado and walked here from our hotel. We had the bruchetta which was delicious. I had a flight of beers. They had a great variety. Loved the atmosphere and the people. Thanks for a great experience tonight!

Great execution of the steak fries, they are crispy and hot to the touch. On the other hand, the double 1/2 pound cheeseburger was so gross, the pancakes were same quality as dare-ree-land, and the skillet was too dog gone salty for anyone with taste buds. Oh and the coffee was so bad it not only tasted stale but was warm at best. I would return to order the steak fries and that’s it. There is more, like the speed of the service, but I will stop here, since they looked way understaffed and two employees can only do so much.

Good, standard fare at this authentic "old time diner." The charm is obvious, as it's presence in the midst of a old eastside Madison neighborhood takes you back to the days when such neighborhood diners were common. Once inside, one is transported back in time as it's small, has a counter with stools, a chalkboard with the day's specials, a few tables and a friendly waitress and owner. The food is great and speedy. The owner friendly & congenial. Prices are average for a small, Madison diner. Go. It's worth it.

Everything was very dirty and sticky! Service: what little we received was very rude and rushed. The menu was hand written on cardboard which was barely legible. when out plates were being brought out the server demanded to know "who had the ham and cheese Omelette! it was one of you!" turns out that was the willalby's Omelette that we had order. At some point while eating our greasy under cooked food a crumpled up grease stained hand written receipt was tossed on the table. When it came time to pay they took my card and demanded to know what there tip amount would be. Apparently you just tell them so they can go put it in for you. We regrettably blurted out 20% in order to escape this establishment as soon as possible. Will never return unless it is to take up a parking space and grab some Sala Thai next door.

AMAZING. Food, beer, atmosphere, dessert - Yes! Go it’s amazing! I-5 IPA and Peck’s Pilsne The boneless wings are incredibly crunchy and sooo good! We tried Caribbean jerk and Korean BBQ (sauce on side). Korean BBQ- best flavors! Cheese curds. Wow that sauce was delish! Southwest Burger- grilled perfectly medium, so much flavor in the burger alone- toppings were added bonus. House salad with ranch- the best salad toppings and the ranch is excellent. Go!! Try if!!!

My feedback is solely for this particular location; we've definitely had better experiences elsewhere. As a family of six with two young children, we were seated in the bar area instead of the family seating area. A significant issue was a missed order, which we didn't realize until the rest of our food arrived. Our server's check-ins were infrequent, leading to delays when we needed drink refills and the check.

A couple of my friends and I stopped in for a late dinner as we were passing through the area. I got the Korean rice bowl and a side of cheese curds. My food was delicious. The rice bowl was bursting with flavor and everything in it was cooked to perfection. The cheese curds were decent, but the chimichurri ranch dressing was what really made them amazing. We dined in on a Monday evening and wasn’t expecting for this place to be so busy and noisy. Nothing bad about that necessarily, it just wasn’t what we were expecting on a weekday evening. Seems like a great hangout spot for college students, as that was who was mostly there. This just made for a very occupied server resulting in less attention to our needs and longer wait times. My overall take on the place is still a positive one. Cute restaurant and a decent sized one, at that.

I was frequent business traveler this summer. I stayed at the Embassy Suites around the corner. This was my go to spot 1-2 times each week. The food was delicious and in summer time I really enjoyed the Strawberry tart beer and the pretzel board appetizer. Once summer was over I enjoyed the German Pilsner since I’m not much of an IPA drinker. I highly recommend you order the full size Liter since you’re likely to order more than one pint. I always had friendly hosts and servers. Once college started there were a couple servers that were less than par but I took it in stride as we all were new at our jobs at one point. I dined on the patio garden area twice. I brought my English Cream Golden once and he really loved it too! I highly recommend this place.

Very nice vibe when you walk in. Stephanie was awesome and very helpful in deciding. The pretzel app was fantastic as was the French Onion Soup. We shared a few items but the fish tacos were my favorite. Almost forgot about the awesome Bloody Mary.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Beer-Braised Salmon at The Great Dane! I tried the Beer-Braised Salmon at The Great Dane in Madison, and it blew me away. The salmon was perfectly seared — tender and full of flavor — and the Peck’s Pilsner cream sauce tied everything together beautifully. The leeks and baby spinach added a fresh, earthy touch, and the garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and rich, the perfect side to soak up that amazing sauce. For only $20, it felt like a fine-dining meal at a hometown favorite. You can really taste the quality ingredients and the care that goes into each dish. Paired with one of their craft beers, it’s easily one of the best meals you can get in Madison for the price. If you go to The Great Dane, order the Beer-Braised Salmon — you won’t regret it. 🍺🐟

We headed here with the intention of having lunch before the beer festival and take their comp bus. So we had lunch here around 11am ish and I had their Baja Fish Tacos. I added an extra 1 for a 3 pack and what a great call I made! They were fresh and delicious! I passed on the beans and some of the rice but the salsas they provided were straight fire! Time for the shuttle after lunch but whoops, too crowded! So we did a cab and that was fine. Our server was friendly and did forget a few things but they were crowded but y'all still get a 5 star rating. We'd def come back next time we are in the Capitol city.

I stopped briefly following a conference nearby with a colleague. Nice atmosphere here, with unique architecture in this historical building. Beer was decent. My only issue, is the lack of novelty for beer styles. I wish there were new recipes periodically.

American restaurant
Cocktail bar
Wine bar
Merchant Madison is an industrial-chic gastropub and liquor store located in a hip downtown space. Since 2010, it has been a popular spot for craft cocktails and farm-to-table New American fare. The bar offers classic cocktails with modern twists, such as the Cre Brulee Old Fashioned and Whisky Highball with blood orange rye whisky.
Love the atmosphere. There is indoor and outdoor seasonal seating. It was a Saturday evening and we were seated immediately. Beautiful atmosphere, sun was close to setting, the glow of the golden light from the big windows cast on diners gave a warm invitation to the place to be. We had blackened catfish and a merchant burger. The burger is one of the best I have ever had. On my list of top ten burgers for sure. The egg cooked perfectly flowed over the top of the burger when the bun was pressed. The mayo and pickles gave it the right amount of tang. The salad so crisp and fresh. The blackened catfish a little spicy for the diner I was with. The cornbread is delicious. Loved the actual burning candlelight no fake flame. Loved having a bottle of water on the table. Ask for ice if you like ice water.

Loved the general vibe of this place - decor and outdoor seating were great. Everyone that we encountered at Merchant were really welcoming and helpful - from the hostess to our waitress. We sat outdoors, which was really refreshing, could see the water at the end of the street. The food was good, but not really 5 star worthy. The only item that we thought was memorably delicious were the deviled eggs - if you go, definitely give them a try. I had the Caesar salad, which I thought lacked taste and skimpy on dressing. My husband had the Friday fish fry - it wasn’t the traditional Wisconsin fish fry (cod and hash brown side) - it was sturgeon and seasoned fries. He said it was good - and the seasoned fries were delicious. Street parking was tricky to find - fun area, lots of places, fun to walk around after and one street away from the capitol building - beautiful at night!

Stopped by for some drinks and snacks on a Saturday night. The cocktails were superb, especially the old fashioned and passion fruit porn star martini. The cheese curds were also very delicious. The interiors are very pretty and romantic for a date night.

Worst birthday ever. The restaurant had 4 tables filled but we were sat uncomfortably close to another couple who shared the sentiment. Blackened catfish was literally black, but had 0 seasoning. Sweet potato hash was similarly blackened to the point of tasting only like charcoal. Cornbread was extremely dry and we were told that they were out of butter…at 7pm.😕 Something has seriously changed and the staff don’t seem to care at. Saw a bartender pick his nose multiple times and then continue to touch cocktail ingredients. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Absolutely wonderful experience! My husband and I enjoyed my birthday dinner here. Everything was delicious! We ordered the chili crunch hummus, fried cheese curds, and the oyster mushroom shawarma. As well as the passion fruit pisco sour. Our server, Jessie, was great! Highly recommended and will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Madison Must: Brunch at Merchant Merchant delivers the kind of brunch experience that makes you want to cancel the rest of your plans just to linger a little longer. From the moment I walked into this stylish, effortlessly welcoming space in the heart of Madison, I could tell I was in for something special. The atmosphere strikes a rare balance—chic yet relaxed, modern but warm. Upbeat music pulses gently through the space, giving the restaurant an energy that’s both lively and laid-back. It creates exactly the kind of fun, convivial vibe you want for a weekend brunch or really any meal. The menu is a thoughtful and inspired blend of classic comfort and fresh creativity. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to find more than just the usual token options—every meatless dish was well-crafted, flavorful, and satisfying in its own right. It’s clear that the kitchen gives as much attention to their vegetarian offerings as anything else on the menu. Now let’s talk about the mocktails. Merchant’s Bees Knees—a non-alcoholic nod to the Prohibition-era classic—was nothing short of delightful. Light, floral, citrusy, and perfectly balanced, it felt festive and refined without the alcohol. My boyfriend got a bloody mary and he was also very happy with it. But the true standout? The beignets. Hot, fresh, airy, and generously dusted in powdered sugar, they were absolute perfection—crisp on the outside, pillowy on the inside. If you’re even thinking about ordering them, just do it. You won’t regret it. To top it all off, the service was flawless—warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. Our server struck that perfect balance of being present without hovering, and every recommendation was spot-on. It’s clear the staff takes pride in what they do, and it elevates the entire experience. In a city full of dining options, Merchant stands out as a true gem. From the food and drinks to the vibe and hospitality, it hits every note. Whether you’re a Madison local or just visiting for the weekend, this is the kind of place you’ll be talking about long after the last beignet is gone.

I had the pleasure of dining here for the first time yesterday 7/13 for my birthday and the service was amazing the rain came down pouring I made into the restaurant soaking wet I was offered a towel to dry up as much as I could (thank you so much to the two wonderful greeters who welcomed me in I'm so sorry I remember your names ) and to our server who was equally fabulous who made sure my nut allergy was not an issue. With that said the atmosphere was very pleasant and inviting. The food was delicious I different recommend and I will back hopefully not on a rainy day.

I’ve been to the Merchant Tavern several times in the past for both brunch and dinner and always had a great experience. I am not sure what’s happened to the place but unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing, especially with family visiting from abroad. The food was extremely salty to the point that some dishes were inedible, much of it was over-fried, and the shrimp cakes were undercooked. The staff, however, were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Sadly, despite the great service, we won’t be returning. Madison has many other amazing restaurants to try when visiting and frankly Chick-fill-A would have been a much better option last night over that meal.

Heritage Tavern is a classy restaurant offering upscale New American cuisine for dinner and weekend brunch. Chef Dan Fox impresses diners with his culinary masterpieces, using the finest local ingredients to create delectable seafood dishes, family-style eats, and upscale global-inspired fare. The menu includes options for vegetarians and those with gluten-free dietary needs. The cozy ambiance complements the elevated menu, which features some of the best produce and meat Wisconsin has to offer.
I went here for the first time for a birthday dinner and was honestly stunned at how great the food was. The menu leaves your tastebuds watering with their perfect descriptions of their options. Our table ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer and it was a hit! I have never had such fancy deviled eggs before. Visually impeccable 👌 The entrees were also amazing. The special that evening was Red Snapper (meant for two) and was also a hit! Service was fast and friendly. Such a unique cozy atmosphere. Hands down would recommend if you are looking for a special night out!

eritage Tavern – 4.5/5 I came in with high expectations, and for the most part Heritage delivered. Service was impeccable from start to finish. I started with the deviled eggs three ways—two were creative and memorable, one was forgettable, but overall a fun opener. The peppercorn steak was the star. Perfectly cooked, with layers of flavors and textures that made every bite interesting. Paired it with a Merlot, after starting with a Hefeweizen, and both matched well with the flow of the meal. The ambience inside is truly great—small, warm, and full of unique antique touches that give the restaurant real character. It feels special without being overdone. This is a 4.5/5 experience, but since I came in expecting excellence, I’ll call it a 4/5 here. Either way, it’s an easy recommendation if you want refined food, great service, and an atmosphere that adds to the whole experience.

Have been here before but ended up here by happenstance. Thank goodness. It was a delectable shelter from the storm. It was approaching closing time but the service was superb. Matt the bartender was attentive and welcoming. The food was over the top good. They care and it shows. All around stellar. Mm

Something wonderfully warm and welcoming about this place. The space itself is a nice step back in time and the wood (mahogany I guess?) gives it a nice feeling to gobble anything there. Their Nitro Willy will make you come alive, it's like a tequila based espresso martini. The cinnamon roll with ham is amazing. That, with coffee now would be breakfast, but no. We also ordered shrimp with grits and lamb French toast and Suri served us right and also fixed our wobbly table, which by the way would not have gotten in the way of eating all the deliciousness. Great vibes too! Please go! Enjoy.

This was my first time here, and the atmosphere was nice. Great staff! I loved the drink that I had, but the food was not for me. I don't eat pork, and they had a lot of dishes with pork in them—a little on the pricy side.

My faith in Madison brunches has been restored. :) After a few off experiences, I was ready to have a different outcome. My Cocktail- solid. I had the market vegetable omelet, along with the Starzy toast with some compote jam. As a person who doesn’t eat meat, I loved that the vegetarian options contain vegetables not usually found in omelets. They’re also not used as an afterthought like other places. (My salad had both their house dressing, carrots, and watermelon radishes). The omelet was piping hot, hash browns perfectly seared. All in all, a place absolutely worth the price and an easy endorsement for Madison’s food scene.

The food was delicious. The eggs were farm fresh and the locally sourced produce made everything taste wonderful.

Heritage Tavern is one of Madison’s true gems. If you’re staying downtown, it’s an easy walk and absolutely worth the stop. The space is gorgeous, stylish, and the attentional to detail is impeccable. The food is outstanding and clearly rooted in a thoughtful farm-to-table approach. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, and carefully crafted by Dan and his team. The cocktails were balanced and creative, and the service was friendly and professional throughout the night. Our group had a fantastic time, and everyone left impressed so much that we came back for brunch the next day. Heritage Tavern is a perfect spot for both a casual night out and a celebratory dinner. Highly recommend!

Bloom Bake Shop is a charming bakeshop with a cozy atmosphere that offers an array of housemade treats including cupcakes, donuts, and biscuit sandwiches. Their delicate cupcakes are made with locally sourced ingredients, such as the lemon and blueberry version which features real fruit folded into the batter and topped with a light lemon buttercream.
We recently chose Bloom for our wedding desserts and were thrilled with the results! They were so wonderful to work with and easily accommodated our vegan and gluten free guests. We ordered the vegan/gf chocolate ganache cream cheese cake and various bars, some vegan/gf and some not. Our guests all raved about the desserts, and I’m not exaggerating when I say the cake was the best I’ve ever had! My husband and I are planning on ordering one every year for our anniversary because it was that good. We could not recommend them more!! Photos by Anya Kubilus Photography

No seating, all to-go. Bread is baked in-house and smells amazing. Most sweets were too sweet and pricey—$50 for a mid-size cake, $2 for a dry maamoul. The veggie focaccia sandwich is the real standout—hits every time.
Sumaya H — Google review
Have been coming to Bloom for several years ever since they had the original location in Middleton . After opening up their East Madison location I go to that one more often . I was in the Monroe neighborhood and could not resist to stop in to the mothership location. Cases were packed with amazing savory and sweet items as always . They also make sandwiches to go if you put your order in . There was a line of people waiting to get in which is normal . It is worth the wait - trust me ! Gluten free case to the left of the register is full of bakery items , cupcakes and scones . A good gf selection to choose from . For a savory I tried their pesto pinwheel which is an interesting take of a pesto filled roll extra fluffy and pull apart . For a sweet I could get everything they make but I did go with the classic cinnamon roll. Similar fluffy airy as the pesto pinwheel with a great balance of cinnamon sugar and frosting . I don’t frequently go to Monroe neighborhood as it can be hard to find street parking , however whenever I find myself in that part of town I will always stop in to Bloom for a special treat .

Stopped by while in the area. Grabbed a mocha and a ginger molasses cookie. The staff was friendly and helpful. My girlfriend and I made a quick stop at Bloom Bake Shop while riding along the biking trail, and we’re so glad we did. The Cruffin and strawberry rhubarb danish were both absolutely delicious—flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The Cruffin had that perfect balance of crisp outside and tender, airy inside, while the danish hit the ideal sweet-tart note. We also grabbed a cappuccino, and it was spot-on—smooth, rich, and expertly crafted. To top it off, the customer service was spectacular. The people behind the counter were genuinely friendly, upbeat, and happy to be there, which made the whole experience even better. Charming spot, welcoming vibe, and a perfect little detour if you’re anywhere nearby. Highly recommend!

It is so nice to have a place that I can eat something on the menu that also accommodates my food restrictions. Finding something free of wheat, egg, and dairy, that was just off the shelf, was amazing, eating cake at my wedding was a dream! People were choosing my cake over the non-restrictive cake! I am so thankful for your shop!

Any of the Croissants! The layers are straight outta Paris! Our Favorite is the plain... so simple yet unique: soft airy, delicate, buttery innards with a tan, crunchy outter layer. Peeled apart, each section is good, but together, is wholesome yummy. The morning bun is just a Croissant with honey (slightly sweet, not American-ized). No one flavor overpowers another. And vegan options: donuts, cookies, specialty cake (sometimes an extra one for walk-ins). Also, bread. Oh! And dog treats!

Gotham Bagels is a bustling New York-style deli with two locations in Madison. They are known for their hand-rolled bagels, soups, and hot and cold sandwiches. One of their popular offerings is the Brighton Beach bagel sandwich, which features Alaskan salmon, caper cream cheese, watercress, red onion, and tomato. The deli was supported by Ian Gurfield and MATC instructor Joe Gaglio to get off the ground.
I know there’s some shade on here about the owner and wait times, I’m here to clear some of that up. The New York style bagels are amazing and made fresh, with that it’s going to take longer than a fast food place, you get what you pay for. Go in or order ahead, have some coffee and relax. The owner, he’s passionate about his business and the food he puts out. He’s east coast so yeah, he might be a little louder than your typical midwesterner, you’ll be fine. Highly recommend

Go classic or go home. Got a bacon egg and cheese everything bagel sandwich and it was not bad. Nice thick cut bacon, cheese was real and tasty, and the bagel was not too chewy. The coffee was local JBC roasters and flavorful as usual (even JBCs light roast is bold). The long wait times unfortunately are the reason I cannot give this place a higher rating, also no washroom. Don’t know what the heck takes so long to get a classic bagel sandwich, but if anyone can enlighten me, please do so!
B D — Google review
Gotham Bagels has a really nice atmosphere and the food itself is genuinely tasty, which makes this review a bit tough, but unfortunately, our overall experience just didn’t live up to expectations. We went on a Saturday, so I expected a bit of a wait, but we ended up waiting about an hour for just three bagels, which felt excessive. Still, I was willing to overlook that until we got home and found that all three bagels were made on the wrong kind of bread. We had ordered two on everything bagels and one on garlic, but received what looked like whole wheat or something similar definitely not what we asked for. What really brought the experience down was the lack of communication; if they were out of the bagels we ordered, a quick heads-up would’ve gone a long way. Instead, we were left confused and a bit underwhelmed. Great flavor, but the poor service and incorrect order made it hard to justify more than two stars.
Marco E — Google review
I fully admit, as a former NYer, I can be a bagel snob. The bagels here are ok. Not great, but not bad. The service is remarkably slow. I’ve been here a few times and I’m not quite sure why it takes so long to get a bagel. In NYC, there could be a line out the door and you’d probably get your bagel faster than here. But the worst part was that on a recent trip, I got a bagel that was supposed to have tomato and bacon and found out a few bites into it, that it had lox/salmon (it was under the tomatoes, and blended in, so I missed it at first). Which might not be a big deal to some folks, but I don’t eat salmon. Such a bummer to get home only to find that your $9.00 bagel is now a waste. I know accidents happen, which is why I gave a 3 instead of a 1 for food/service, but it was disappointing nonetheless.
Chris C — Google review
This place is a gem in downtown Madison! The old-school New York vibe is super cool….felt like I stepped into a little slice of NYC. The bagels? Unreal. Best I’ve ever had, hands down. Fresh, perfectly chewy, and packed with flavor. And Joey, the owner, is a total legend. Super friendly and full of personality. You can tell he really cares about what he’s doing. I’ll definitely be back!
Gerrit B — Google review
Took me a little over a year of living here to finally try it. This place is legit 😊 delicious and they do not skimp on the toppings. I got the Original V, a vegan option, which was loaded with poblanos, avocado, tomato, and scallion cream cheese. Expect a wait because this place was packed to the brim barely 15 minutes after opening. With reason :) My only take is it’s a LITTLE on the pricey end despite the amount of toppings you get, but delicious and also an easy endorsement for a place. I’ll visit frequently when I’m wanting to indulge a little more at breakfast time.

Our office recently ordered lunch from Gotham Bagels for 18 staff members, and it was excellent. The food quality was great, and the individual packaging with clear numbering made distribution easy. Although one sandwich was missing, their customer service was great and resolved the issue quickly. Despite some initial hesitation due to reviews, our experience was very positive & everyone loved it. I recommend the chicken salad on an everything bagel. We will definitely order from them again!

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club offers contemporary rooms, an indoor pool, a bar and an airy restaurant. The hotel is right in downtown Madison convenient to all the attractions. There are 373 guest rooms, including 100 suites on the executive level with luxury amenities such as wireless internet access, wireless printing, bedding featuring Dayton Street Comfort Collection and LG flat screen TVs. The hotel also features European spa-style bathrooms.
Just awesome front to back. I don’t want to tell you about the Governors Suites that comes with the hot tub bath and the lounge with the free appetizers drinks and desserts because I don’t want it to get any more popular than it already is because it’s an incredible value and the bartenders are cool (What’s up, Paul!) and I don’t want it to get booked up in case we want to go back again soon. We already think like “we need to pace ourselves” not just on the drink orders but in the number of times we book this room in a year. Room 1130 is a lucky one!

Let me start by saying, you can have the nicest hotel ever but if the staff is bad, it taints the entire experience. I had the pleasure of being checked in by Lewis and Ogunde and what a TREAT. Super personable, fun, upbeat, attentive and efficient. I travel all over the world for work and stay in hotels possibly more than I stay in my own home at times, so having a welcoming encounter like that really put me over the moon. The glow doesn’t stop there though, Eli, in the dining area has a similar energy and is an absolute delight to interact with. The location of this hotel is central, most things are walking distance. The room are clean, the beds are lush and the pillows are comfortable. The gym is better than your normal hotel gym, complete with a pool, sauna, hot tub and game room. Will definitely be staying here again next year. Thank you again to the wonderful staff here, all of the stars for your team!

Nice hotel right in the heart of Madison. Comfortable clean, spacious rooms. They have a restaurant and bar. I tried the bar; has drinks, sandwiches, and appetizers - which were pretty good. Staff was friendly. Check-in was slow; their computer system must take longer than other places I've stayed. Bathroom wasn't ideal for me - couldn't see to go in - needs a night light or something; the main switch is almost behind the door when it is open. Besides that, everything was great.

If you stay here, you'll be convinced that you're the governor! The staff treated us like nobody else in the write was more important than us. They were amazing, friendly, courteous, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Everyone acted like they loved their bibs and were eager to accommodate you. The hotel is clean and maintained with updated technologies and amenities. The location is literally around the corner from the Capitol building. Lots of restaurants and entertainment around the location. They didn't even blink or question our legitimate service dogs!!! THAT was the best part of it all -- being respected and treated with dignity. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come again! A special thanks to Louis at the front desk for being such a marvelous ambassador of great customer service!!

Where to start...u walk in and its beautiful the ppl greet u and treat u like ur long lost friends but in the most professional way. took my mood from being stressed from driven all day to oh hey its ok we got u. We stayed on governors club floors so we went for some drinks in the governors lounge. Its unlimited free top shelf drinks served from this amazing guy named rick who has been there for like 20 plus years. He knows his stuff and is just the best. We just missed the complimentary hors d'oeuvres but they smelled amazing. Shortly after they serve complimentary dessert and it was just delicious a chocolate fudge type one and a like crepe cream cake. They really care what about making ur stay enjoyable. We went swimming and the pool was nice and I loved that the hot tub was attached to pool. Sauna is a dry sauna which if its ur thing thats great it was very nice and clean but we prefer wet. Really the whole place was clean and fresh. A fitness center with something for everyone. There is Starbucks and a bar and a breakfast buffet. There are bathrobes in the room the beds are comfy they have a great complimentary breakfast in the governors club lounge. Bacon eggs potatoes fruit the works .The nice girl keeping it stocked really took care what she was doing. Check in and out is a breeze. The elevator goes to the parking so ur near ur car and its safe. I cant tell u one bad thing about this place. Even the view of the capital and the lake is amazing. By far the best place to stay. 10 of 10 will stay again

My fiancée and I were in Madison for our anniversary to see a concert. Staff left mop water all over the outside the elevators with no wet floor sign. I slipped and hit my knee really hard on the tile floor. Staff did not care and did not do anything to remedy the situation. Terrible service. They’re lucky it wasn’t an elderly person that fell and broke a bone. There were gnats in my room. Room was fine but the carpet was somewhat grimy. Also the bathroom door is only a sliding door so theres no lock on it. Restaurant was great.

I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided in the room, which added to the overall experience. I really enjoyed my stay at The Edgewater Hotel and would definitely recommend it. This hotel is my go-to in Madison here on out. I came here back in March for a Starset Concert at the Delta Beer Lab and an Oscars Party, and I came back here today in September for an AFI concert at the Sylvee tomorrow night. This hotel is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed in. It is so quiet with beautiful views of the lake. The hotel is in a great location. It's not too far from many of the hot spots, including the state capitol building. The hotel has an onsite spa, restaurant, bar, fitness center, indoor pool (in the spa but I believe all guests can use it without needing a spa service booked) and an ice rink. It looks like they have boat tours now that there's no ice on the lake but overall the hotel has a lot. I stayed in the Langdon Sudio King Room (I included photos from my stay in March but I have the same room this trip), which is an extended stay Kitchenette room. It's so wonderful. You could do a good deal of cooking here and there's a dishwasher and garbage disposal for convenience. The bathroom is beautiful with a claw foot tub and a nice glass shower. The bed is soooo comfortable and they give you special pillows on request. I have gamer neck so I really appreciate having the ability to get memory foam pillows. Seriously I slept so well here. I'm definitely choosing the Edgewater for future visits to Madison, and I'm looking forward to the rest of my current stay here.

Won a free night from work. My wife and I used this as an excuse for a night on the town. Nice hotel and excellent location on the lake. We had dinner at the boat house on site. Outside seating had live music. We are at the inside bar due to the heat outside. The 2 bartenders were very efficient with how they handled crowds. The Wisconsin burger was very tasty. Once the big crowds calmed down it was nice to be able to hold conversation without having to raise your voice. We walked down state street for some ice cream after dinner which was about an 8 minute walk. The rooms were nice beds were comfy. There were 3 events going on the Saturday night we stayed. Retirement party in the sky bar and 2 other wedding events in the other bars. Good Room quality Beds The boat house food. Overall location Could be better For the room value at almost $400 not much was included as shown by the breakfast menu attached. Parking in the parking lot as a guest was a $32 charge that was not expected. The room seemed to have an awkward time regulating temperature through the nice. Air conditioner would turn on and could wake up a light sleeper in the middle of the night The bad The building is difficult to navigate. There are no maps around. Someone who stays there regularly would probably be able to figure it out after 2 or 3 stays. Seemed like we would just take the stairs frequently to try and figure out what floor parking restaurants and main lobby were located. (There are a lot of stairs) The price. As we have just book a wedding at an adults only all inclusive resort in Cozumel. The price of the room we stayed in was almost $100 more per night than the all inclusive resort. Overall. It is a nice place beautiful views and I'm sure if you or your company is able to afford this price point it is a nice option.

Our stay was a disaster. When we checked in, they put us in a pet friendly room without telling us. The smell was horrid, and it was difficult to spend time in the room. The room had a large dog bed and bowls scattered around the room. We made a call to move rooms, which they explained would be a lengthy process and we had several obligations to get too and couldn’t take the time to tour the open rooms with the manager. We were hoping they’d move our luggage and quickly resolve this situation. While we understand these things can happen when I went to check out and talk to the manager he told me all he could do was reimburse our parking. His attitude made it feel like I was putting him out. This is not the experience I would have expected for a $550 a night room. I would not recommend or ever consider going back to this hotel.

The Edgewater Pier and Boathouse has turned into a clubhouse for the teenagers from the nearby sororities. They are allowed to sunbathe all over the pier and you can’t walk through from your boat to the Boathouse. They bring their own beverages and make no purchases. I spoke to a manager type of person and they said the sunbathers are normal and the dock is open to the public. So sad. We spent $117 for 4 people to have lunch. The food was awful. The Maui tacos are inedible because the shell falls apart. The service was slow. The Edgewater has lost all its class. It will be a Hooters soon! I won’t be returning. I am 65 you and don’t need to go to a sorority with bad food.

Location on lake was beautiful. Close to downtown restaurants and UW campus. Rooms were nice, charming, timeless. Musty scent in rooms. Hotel was quite busy with competing events. Staff felt overwhelmed and unable to keep track of client requests.

This was our second visit to Edgewater. Our 1st was a corporate event, which was elegant and simply magical ✨️ . This time is our 49th wedding anniversary 💕. You never need to leave the resort. All your needs can be met right here. Making lifetime memories.

We used The Edgewater as our home base for our wedding. Aside from room blocks, we used them to host our rehearsal dinner in the Sky Bar and our welcome party in the ballroom and outdoor terrace. Both areas were gorgeous, and our guests were obsessed with the sunset views over the lake. The food was excellent, and Meghan Stracka was a joy to work with. Would absolutely recommend The Edgewater for hosting events as well as just spending the night!
