Zouk Tea Bar & Grill is a contemporary restaurant located in the city center of Manchester, offering traditional Indian and Pakistani dishes with a modern twist. On Sundays, they serve halal roast options, making it one of the few places in Manchester to offer this. The restaurant provides an upmarket dining experience suitable for date nights or gatherings with family and friends. With close seating arrangements and occasional entertainment, Zouk offers a unique atmosphere.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience to complement our brand launch! The canapé’s and cocktails catering was exceptional — from presentation to flavor, everything was thoughtfully executed to perfection. Guests were impressed by the options, which offered something for everyone, including delicious vegetarian selections. The custom cocktails and mocktails added a memorable touch to the evening. The presentation was excellent and was matching our brand’s aesthetic. The staff was very understanding and helpful and made sure all of our needs and requests were mer. Highly recommend for any event where quality, service, and style matter. Thanks once again!

I had a lovely meal but the main course took a while to come out. The staff were helpful and very polite. The food itself was nice. The lamb biryani was probably the best from our order. I think it is expensive for the food and portions but it is in central Manchester. There is NCP parking near by so very convenient to park up and walk across.
Faisal P — Google review
As for aesthetic the place is very nice and the atmosphere was good I liked how it was a bit dark and not bright in the restaurant so it nice for photos but the curry’s we a bit bland the weren’t bad but lacking seasoning and flavour. The staff were nice and the service was fast. However when it came to paying they added an unknown service fee we noticed after we had already payed.

Fantastic food. Was a busy busy atmosphere. Was quite chaotic. Went about 4-5pm on a sunday. Food was fantastic. Did the £60 for 2 roast and lots of food. Chicken and beef was a bit over cooked and dry but lamb was perfect. Good value for money
Rowan M — Google review
The food was amazing although quite expensive. Specially loved the dessert section despite feeling 9.5£ for each dessert is horrendously expensive. What made us a little disappointed with the staff was, that they didn't give us the weekday 12-4 tiffin lunch menu as they were cheaper. We felt that's a trick so that we are forced to get the ala varte expensive menu. The staffs were otherwise very good. Love the service received. However, it's quite loud and noisy. Saying that, some people might love it! So overall, it's reasonable dining with friends. May be not for family so much.
Shreya S — Google review
Zouk was recommended to me by my friend, as a place we should visit when I come to Manchester. The atmosphere was welcoming and I loved the flower wall backdrop at the entrance. My friend and I took a lot of lovely pictures there and it was cute to find out they spelt out Zouk on it. The staff were pleasant and professional. The food was good, I had the Tandoori Mixed Grill as appetizer, Salmon with Gunpowder Chips and Garlic Naan Bread. The star of the show were the cocktailss! I had two Passion Fruit Mojitos and a Strawberry Daiquiri, they were that good, yuumm! The negatives were the high service charge, already paid before noticing this and the staff were so eager to get our order, we felt quite under pressure as we had just got in and hadn't settled in yet. I recommend Zouk and I'll definitely visit when next I'm in Manchester especially for the cocktails.
Nengi A — Google review
The only reason I am not rating this 1/5 is because I do not like leaving bad reviews and the food wasn’t awful. Location is decent. Restaurant itself is very nice. • Starters came but the water we asked for didn’t so had to ask twice for some water • Was not asked once how the food was during or after the meal • Parts of the food was cold • Nobody asked if we wanted any more drinks or a dessert • We had to ask for the bill (after waiting for a while for someone to notice) • Nobody came over to help us pay the bill for a while so we also had to ask for this • We had a special request on the booking because it was someone’s birthday. This was completely ignored • We decided to ask for the service charge to be removed as there wasn’t 1 single person who deserved a tip in this experience. The staff member then simply pointed at the bill to indicate she was removing the service charge • There was no apology even after this and nobody even attempted to rectify the experience I do not want to damage a business because other people’s experiences may be different, however, I am very disappointed that I had an experience like this for such a fancy looking restaurant.
Elliot G — Google review
This place is really good and has amazing decor. The food I ordered were the lamb laziz, chicken karahi and biryani which were all delicious and also the dessert warm pistachio scouffle that was impressive. The staff were kind too. Highly recommend this place for those who eat asian dishes.

Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
The Little Yang Sing is a renowned family-run restaurant that has been serving traditional Chinese regional cuisine since 1977. With its smart decor and extensive menu, it has gained international acclaim for its authentic Cantonese dishes, including a comprehensive dim sum selection and banquet menus featuring dishes like whole steamed lobster with garlic, ginger, and chili. The restaurant also offers a charming Cantonese-style afternoon tea.
Amazing restaurant, great reputation and certainly one of the family favourites. The food quality is always too notch and when they shred the duck for you (highly recommend!) it always adds a bit of theatre for the kids too. Service is always very welcoming. 10/10.
Mark W — Google review
Went for a work meal, first thing I loved is that we were on a round table so we could all chat with each other. Service was very good, quick and friendly. Food was probably one of the best Chinese food I've ever had. 100% recommended!
Irene D — Google review
I would recommend you go elsewhere if you want to make your money worth. Dishes are around £17, most don’t come with rice or noodles (so that has to be added). I took the shredded duck with vermicelli, and it tasted dull -despite it being in the chefs’ recommendations section: not much duck, preserved vegetable very acidic, overall a bit too salty. Bill comes with sevice charge (10%) and they also charge £2.50 for a glass of water. The staff was reactive and nice, but the most important to me is food quality and price, which sadly didn’t meet my expectations.
Edouard V — Google review
The staff was friendly and welcome. The restaurant wasn't overly busy for a Sunday evening, which was nice. Service was hit and miss depending which waiter. Ill manner by taking plates when not everyone was finished eating on the table. The decor was nice and the atmosphere was ok. The food was nice and a good portion, slightly overpriced but understandable as it's in the city centre.
Modelangel — Google review
Delicious food and impeccable service. They have a lot of vegan options! If you tell them you are vegan, they bring you a little list of dishes from vegetarian menu that are not suitable for vegans, so it's very easy to choose. Food was amazing and the portions very generous. My partner and I could barely walk after 🤣 Highly recommended restaurant! Also, great atmosphere
Yuliya S — Google review
Excellent food, however service could have been better! We were a table of 14, but food came out at stages, with some guests having to wait about 15 minutes for the other guests to get their food!
Patrick X — Google review
Recently came to this restaurant for a family meal and loved every single moment of it! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was incredible! The staff were very helpful and friendly! We had the Blooming Blossom banquet and we enjoyed every single meal that was included in it! 100% worth the money and will definitely be back when I can! Thank you Little Yang Sing!

Food was great just felt the pricing was a bit unfair. I received great service though! My partner would love this place because they have so many great vegetarian options. Would definitely come back to try more of their food.

Mughli Charcoal Pit is a long-standing Indian/Pakistani restaurant located in Rusholme, offering a diverse menu of street food, snacks, curries, biryanis, and slow-cooked stews. The restaurant is known for its chargrilled dishes cooked over a focal charcoal pit. With almost 25 years of experience, Mughli has maintained high-quality standards amidst the changing culinary landscape.
Visited Mughli for many years and the food has always been consistently amazing. Butter Chicken is highly recommended! Unfortunately they got rid of the facade on the front which resembled the streets of India, which is a shame as it added a bit of atmosphere to the place. Still, worth a trip for the top quality food. Service was slightly slow on our latest visit, but again the food made up for it.
Conor J — Google review
Excellent Indian food, but slow service We had a really good meal at Mugli, the food was excellent across the board. For starters, we went for the lamb chops and mixed grill both packed with flavour. For mains, the chicken tikka masala was rich and comforting, and the butter chicken was absolutely sensational one of the best I’ve had. The only downside was the wait time, the food took quite a while to arrive, and we were seriously hungry by the time it did. Worth the wait in the end, but quicker service would really elevate the experience.
Halima A — Google review
Great place to try some Indian kebabs cooked over coals. They also serves some unique dishes like Malai Broccoli. Their butter chicken was the classic British style. Enjoy.
Karl R — Google review
an old indian aesthetic with glass painted windows tucked away from the busyness of wilmslow road dishes were made and served fresh to order we ordered: mango lassi - creamy with the perfect balance of sweet and tanginess bhangin’ potato - crispy potatoes glazed in a variety of sweet and tangy sauces topped with toasted almonds and pomegranate, scrumptious scorpion prawns - flavoured with tandoori and lemon, perhaps could have been more tender lamb chops - yummy charcoal flavour but again not as tender as i’ve had from other places leopard roll - a grilled lamb kofta wrapped in a crispy naan, would recommend getting this! butter chicken - thick, creamy and smoky, also would recommend this 🤩 garlic naan - a must with butter chicken always, has a yummy buttery crunch with a smoked after taste i enjoyed my drink and main meal but slightly let down with the prawn and lamb chops, especially given these are the items they are known for from their charcoal pit. service was quite slow and we were charged incorrectly (corrected once we pointed it out) i would still return to try other items as flavours were yummy and lots of people deem this a staple on wilmslow road.

Reserved a table and paid the reservation fee, then traveled from Copenhagen only to read a closed sign! Disgusting service and treatment considering the restaurant had our contact details and money and could have easily have reached out to inform us that the place was closed. Seriously bad service.

Bundobust Manchester Piccadilly is a popular vegetarian and vegan restaurant that offers Gujarat-inspired street food in a communal and friendly setting. The spacious restaurant, located near the city center, features canteen and booth-style seating with plenty of natural light. The informal menu includes familiar favorites like masala dosa and tarka dhal, as well as trendy small plates such as onion bhajis, egg bhurji, and okra fries.
Amazing food! Walked in for a late lunch. Was seated immediately and talked through the menu by the friendly waitress. The menu is very varied with a decent selection of different Indian dishes. You order both drinks and food at the bar. There was no queue. The food was served quickly and arrived together. The food was very flavourful and the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the UK. Would definitely revisit soon!

Popped in for a dinner with friends. A hidden restaurant underground between subway. Didn’t realise it’s a full vegetarian Indian restaurant. Ordered one of each that was recommended from the Bundo menu. I had the BUNDO CHAAT £6.75 - loved this, however it was just samosa pastry with sauces and chickpeas. PANEER TIKKA £8.50 - loved this, cheese and veg grilled skewers,. PANEER KADAI £8.50 - cheese in tomato curry sauce, it was so overpriced, but it came with a bread, it was far too spicy without any warning, so had to leave this dish. It’s around £6-8 per dish, a side and a drink. My order total came to £37 😭 it was definitely far more than I expected to spend on such small dishes. Overall, I felt it was really overpriced as there was was no meat in the dishes and portion size was small. It did taste good, so Maybe would be favourable for the veggies, but I did feel it was not worth it. Especially when I had ordered quite a bit and staff didn’t advise that it came with a bread. No additional carbs was required, a lot went to waste. Atmosphere was great, quiet with some music in background. Great for catch ups.

Absolutely love Bundobust Brewery in Manchester! The food is next-level — bold, flavourful Indian street food, all veggie (lots of vegan options too). The okra fries and Tarka Dhal are musts. Great range of craft beers brewed on-site, all paired perfectly with the food. The vibe is chill, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect for casual drinks or a full-on feast. Can’t wait to go back
Thomas K — Google review
Second time at bundobust now and both times really enjoyed it. Had the combo for 2 and then added on some okra fries and the burger (vad pad I think?) all the dishes were great and the combo is perfect to try a bit of everything! Great beer selection also!
Tom C — Google review
Awesome place with great food. The vibe is super chill, there are many places to be seated and the place was packed but we got a table immediately. Service was fast - we ordered combo for 2 and it was delicious (my guy almost died from spiciness tho). Would definitely go back again.
Julia Ł — Google review
Every mouthful was a blissful tastebud sensation. The depth in flavour was phenomenal. I came her on. Whim after searching for vegetarian eats in Manchester and it’s the best thing I’ve done. I will return to try more of the menu and bring friends too
N S — Google review
Incredible food, amazing beers and a lovely atmosphere. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted so many flavours.
Matt W — Google review
Bundobust in Manchester is exactly the kind of spot I wish existed everywhere delightful Indian street food served with immaculate craft beer (think ‘Bombay Dazzler’ or a Cloudwater ale). The vibe is unpretentious and buzzing, with inventive dishes like okra fries, vada pav, and paneer & mushroom tikka stealing the show. Every bite tastes lovingly made in a casual, colourful basement under a glass skylight. It’s totally veggie friendly, wallet conscious, and laid back enough for weekends or a relaxed night out with friends. Just be aware it gets busy fast, the seating is functional (no frills), and a couple of dishes could use a little tweak. But honestly, if you’re craving flavourful snacks and a great beer in a fun setting this is your place.

Pho Cue is a Vietnamese restaurant that has made a name for itself in Chinatown, offering a straightforward menu of Vietnamese cuisine, featuring soups and sandwiches. Despite opening during a national lockdown, the restaurant has become a success story by leveraging Instagram to showcase its cheeky name and mouthwatering share boxes. The fragrant pho, brewed for 24 hours with various toppings like oxtail and roast duck, has garnered a loyal following.
The food was delicious. Portions were huge. We ordered a starter and a main each and struggled to finish it all. We had ice tea's, and they were the best I've had, ever, without even exaggerating. For what you get, it is very well priced. Will definitely be returning again.
Oana C — Google review
Pho Cue’s food is super heart warming and tasty. Their garlic butter chicken is a must try, seasoning is just right! The Vietnamese coffee is superb. Summer rolls with avocado and tofu is quite a healthy bite with a yummy dip sauce. Special Pho is light for the tummy and flavourful. We will visit again next time to try other foods in the menu.
May L — Google review
Pho Cue is positioned as a mid-to-low-end Vietnamese restaurant. The flavor is average, but the prices are indeed low. The beef soup is just so-so, and the side dishes only included bean sprouts and small chili peppers—it’s the first time I’ve seen a Vietnamese restaurant that didn’t serve basil. There’s not much worth commenting on; the food isn’t exactly tasty, but it’s not unpleasant either! Overall, it matches its mid-to-low pricing, so there’s really nothing much to complain about.
Bruce S — Google review
A very nice Vietnamese restaurant in the center of Manchester (China Town area). We didn't make a reservation, so we had to wait for around 15 minutes, but it was worth it. The food was very good, the service was nice and friendly, and the price was fair and reasonable. Strongly recommended. PS - Read the restaurant's name loud and clear. It's hilarious 😂

Hidden Gem for Vietnamese Food in Manchester If you want to try the best Vietnamese food in Manchester, this is the place. It’s a little hidden spot in Chinatown, right opposite Happy Seasons — and absolutely worth finding. Make sure to check out the specials board — the Winter Pho is incredible! Trust me, it hits the spot perfectly, especially when it’s cold and rainy outside (so basically, every day in Manchester 🌧️).
Arron B — Google review
Pho"kn Amazing Highlight of China town, great atmosphere, the food coming from the kitchen smells divine, everything you see going out looks drool worthy. The specials all sound amazing it's difficult to choose what to get. It's amazingly priced for what you get. We thought £7 for prawn tacos would just be one, so ordered 2 and got 4. Service is friendly, and the food is fast. We arrived quite soon after service started so got to avoid the queue.

Good value for money pho restaurant in Chinatown. Very quick service and food arrived very quickly. The pho was delicious and a very good portion size, while the sides were slightly less worth the price. The menu is quite expansive, with lots of choices and variations of each dish. Despite it being beneath street level, it is well lit and the atmosphere is calm and friendly.

Breakfast restaurant
Federal Cafe Bar is a casual Antipodean coffee bar that offers espressos, an all-day brunch menu, and evening cocktails. It was opened in 2014 by Claudio and Emily, who aimed to create a slice of Antipodean happiness in the city with branches in the Northern Quarter, Oxford Road, and Deansgate. The cafe is known for its delicious breakfast dishes and efficient service.
Dropped in at Federal a week ago on Sunday before the Pokemon GO Fest kicked off. Came in for my first experience of Eggs Benedict in the city centre and I was not disappointed. Fast service and freshly prepared food is the standard here, so it's perfect if you're out and about in the centre. Eggs Benedict and a Latte came in at £16ish, which feels about on par with most across Greater Manchester, feeling better than you're not being ripped off for being in the city itself. I will definitely be going again and bringing my partner along with me. A great start to my food journey in Manchester!

Turkish eggs were heavenly! Had to come back again the next day. Would travel 3 hours from Glasgow again just for this place!! Solid coffee and matcha. Not to mention the absolutely lovely staff who made both our mornings, especially Josh !

visited Federal Cafe Bar on Saturday morning, and it was the best way to start my day. They serve a wonderful breakfast, great coffee, and the warmest smiles. Special thanks to all the staff – it was a real pleasure meeting Harry with his beautiful smile. The place is super cozy. I ordered a large cappuccino and their special French toast – both were amazing. Thank you so much! ♥️

10/10 for everything! Food, service, atmosphere - absolutely fantastic. Especially Josh, who served us today, from the moment we arrived, he was so wonderful! Asset to the company! I recommend everyone to come here!

First time coming and honestly, it was incredible! No wonder people rave about Federal and queue up for it, food was incredible, best French toast I’ve had in a long time, atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. We had a lovely, bubbly waitress Ella, who was just so smiley and had a lovely warmth to her which made the experience even better!
Naomi A — Google review
Josh and the entire team were fabulous. It doesn’t just stop there, this was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had (world wide). Oh and the coffee was sensational. I cannot find fault. This place is a god send!
Benjamin W — Google review
After doing lots of research into finding a brunch spot in manchester plenty of reviews told us to visit Federal. We queued for 30-40 minutes and the staff were lovely- chatting to us in the queue, giving out snacks and umbrellas when it was raining. We both ordered the eggs Benedict which cost £16.50 which i thought was very steep for 1 slice of bread. The food was just okay- i am confused about the hype of this place maybe we ordered wrongly but it was really nothing special! Its also quite cramped in there and sitting on a bar stool was not the comfiest. I don’t personally think it’s worth queuing for!
Olivia — Google review
Expect a queue on the weekends. You can order via the QR code or at the till. We went for brunch and queued for about 15 minutes, we skipped the wait since we were okay with a window seat. The food was good overall. The sourdough’s crust was a bit tough, but I’ve had worse. The banana cake wasn’t really to my taste – it was quite dry and only improved after adding some of the mascarpone cream. The matcha latte was very light; not sweet, but the matcha flavor was also quite weak. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. Overall, a decent brunch spot if you’re not in a rush and enjoy a relaxed vibe, though some of the dishes could be stronger in flavor.

Rudy's Pizza Napoletana in Ancoats has expanded to multiple locations, including the city center and suburbs. The restaurant features an industrial chic interior with an open kitchen showcasing a large pizza oven. Their pizzas are known for their light bases and high-quality toppings, making it hard to resist indulging in a slice. Embracing the traditions of Naples, Rudy's welcomes well-trained dogs into their establishments.
Been meaning to try this franchise for a while after hearing great things. And it didn't disappoint at all. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and very authentic to the original Napoletana traditions and flavours. The staff were all lovely and helpful, the setting felt very rustic and tasteful. The dips were even delicious, we tried all three - standout was the Nduja Aioli though. I'll be back, highly recommended

We visited Rudy’s Pizza on Saturday evening around 9:00 PM, about an hour before closing, and were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything went. Despite the place being busy, we were seated immediately without any wait, and the staff had no issue accommodating the three of us. Since it was getting late, we decided to place our full order right away. The food arrived impressively fast. Our server, Laura, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and cheerful throughout, even when we asked a few silly questions. She made us feel genuinely welcome. We kept it simple with a Margherita, a veggie pizza, and garlic bread. The garlic bread was out of this world—definitely a highlight. My wife and I shared the pizza, and there was still enough left to take home. To top it all off, when the bill arrived, we noticed they hadn’t charged us for our drinks, and they even gave our little girl a complimentary brownie. We were told the drinks were on the house. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and a big shoutout to Laura for making our evening so memorable.

Such good service from the minute we walked in! Staff were all so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Food came out so quickly which we appreciated and it was incredible! Garlic bread is always a must, followed by a Carni pizza with garlic alioli & hot honey. Great evening & atmosphere ♥️

This place was great, the staff were lovely, the food was awesome. Totally recommend the pizza and dips. The only thing that let it down for me was that I nipped in to the toilet and the gents was occupied so I popped into the disabled loo and was confronted by a swarm of around 10 mosquitoes circling in the middle of the toilet cubicle - horrific for someone who doesn't like these blood sucking beasts and desperate to sash their shoes. I had to go through with it and hope for the best 😱. I didn't let this spoil my time there, but could have done without the experience.

A+ place, I wish I lived here in Manchester, I’d be here every week. The staff were wonderful and genuinely lovely. Food came out in a timely manner, and the tables and utensils and condiments were clean. Best meal of my trip. Worth a visit!

Located in Northern Quarter on Hilton Street, the place boasts industrial interiors and a casual vibe with counter ordering.
I had the June special toast. Pulled pork Benedict. It's very filling and delicious. Definitely would recommend it if you're visiting in June. I found it to be a little on the pricier side, but it was worth it. The place itself is really nice, spacious, and cosy. Also great service!

Always a bustling place this, really nice staff and food with a good selection of all day breakfasts and lunches. Dog friendly too, so we'll be back soon with our doggy. Wait for a table was expected to be 20 minutes, but we waited barely 10 because they were so efficient. Shame we'll miss the August specials. The food and the coffee was awesome!!

Great place for breakfast! Really friendly staff/helpful staff, loved they asked about allergies cause I have a nut allergy. Eggs benny was delicious! I do wish my large cappuccino was stronger, only one shot of espresso so it was a bit weak :(

We went to Ezra and Gils for our son’s 1st bday breakfast and it was AWESOME! Kat helped us to the table and was really really nice. She recommended some things on the menu(everything was great) and even took a Polaroid of us 🥰 Highly recommend for the service and the quality as well!

A must-visit if you’re looking for good brunch. I was in manchester for just a weekend and still chose to go to this same place twice because of how good it was. The pulled pork benedict was definitely the best thing on the menu, but the variety of options is also good, and their poached eggs did not disappoint once. The coffee was fantastic, and the bloody marys, a cocktail that’s so easy to get wrong, was just right in every way. Great food, great atmosphere, lovely people, this is a food place recommendation you later on use to brag for introducing people to their new fav spot

Perfect pick-me-up after an evening in the Turnstile mosh pit!! A warm welcome at the door by Alice, and great friendly service by jack . Fantastic full English and two full flavoured americanos to help recover from last night . This is my go to place in Manchester for the perfect breakfast ,delicious coffee and very friendly staff .

My flatbread was pretty tough and there wasn’t much flavour in the food. They missed my coffee and I had to remind them twice to finally get my coffee. I’m also quite surprised that they don’t serve atleast halal chicken, especially in a city like Manchester which has a huge Muslim population. I asked to check if the chicken was halal and the server pulled quite a face when I asked?? Felt rude to me and quite dismissive. Coffee tasted fine but not the best. Service was pretty bad in my experience.

Neapolitan restaurant
Noi Quattro - Pizzeria is a cozy and inviting restaurant located in the Northern Quarter. Run by four Italians, it offers authentic Naples-style pizzas with a variety of toppings, as well as appetizers, beer, and wine. The pizzeria has gained popularity for its freshly baked pies such as the Napoli and vegan Avezzanese with roast potatoes, onions, rosemary, and extra virgin olive oil. Additionally, their cuoppo street-food based sides are perfect for sharing.
We have been going to this restaurant for the past 4 years. The new menu has elevated some of their dishes but also kept great standard on classic dishes with the same prices. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. One of the best Neapolitan pizza in Manchester. Deffinately the best atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Keep it up with the great work Noi Quatro!!!

Who would’ve thought you’d find real Italian flavor in the heart of Manchester? This pizza place truly surprised me. Especially the Parmigiana Pizza, which was bursting with flavor and reminded me of the kind I’ve had in Italy. The only downside? Our order got lost and took a while, but the friendly staff and incredible taste made it worth the wait. Highly recommended if you love proper, well-made pizza!
Giovanni P — Google review
Amazing Italian pizzeria tucked away in a backstreet of the Northern Quarter in central Manchester. The food is incredible and very tasty, as well as reasonably priced. The Parmigiana and Mortacchio Reale pizzas were mouthwatering, highly recommend trying them out. Minus star for the incredibly slow service, it was four of us and mind you, it was busy but we waited for around an hour and the place ended up being nearly empty by the time we got served.
Sophie P — Google review
Lovely pizza place in the heart of the Northern Quarter. I was recommended it by an Italian friend of mine and Noi Quattro didn't disappoint! I visited with some friends and had a great time. The service was great, the staff are friendly, and the pizza is delicious. I ordered the tricolore which was tasty and well cooked. the restaurant has an open kitchen so it was also fun watching them make fresh pizzas. It wasn't too busy but we booked a table anyway (for Sunday lunch time). Will definitely come back again to try other pizzas and antipasti!
Claire C — Google review
Noi Quattro is a lovely spot tucked away on a side street, offering a warm atmosphere with nice décor and friendly service. The food is excellent, with a good variety on the menu to suit different tastes. The pizzas are generously sized and made with high-quality ingredients. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, well-made Italian food.
Patryk P — Google review
The food was pretty good, the frittatina was awesome, rich flaour of smoke and bacon. The seasoning of calamari was good but the coating was a little bit hard, the calamari was in pretty good state. Highly recommend the tricolore, it was the best one among the four pizzas we ordered, rich sauce, not too salty, and bit freshing. The vesuvio was an interesting one, you kinda like it or hate it. The Lemmon sorbet was the best one, not too sweet but rich of lemon flavor. But the service there was a bit short around 5 mins, no one came to ask for another lager, or status of food, I would expect that kind of service if we get charged for service charge.

Hamburger restaurant
Bun & Bones Club is a laid-back restaurant in Hazel Grove, known for its creative burgers, wings, and loaded fries. The menu includes vegan options and a standout dish called Mancake - two beef patties, American cheese, bacon, and maple syrup sandwiched between fluffy pancakes. This modern eatery aims to tantalize taste buds with its range of easy-to-eat meals.
I walked in and luckily managed to get a table! (Not the biggest place so definitely recommend booking) I ordered the 'Pontiac Bandit' burger and the dough balls. The burger was amazing (2 beef patties, cheese, bacon, peanut butter, chilli jam). The meat was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and seasoned perfectly, and had a really lovely meaty taste. It was my first time having peanut butter in a burger but it actually went perfectly with the meat and everything else in the burger. (Was a great idea to put the peanut burger at the bottom, and the homemade chilli jam on the top) The bun held together well, and there was plenty of cheese and bacon. The dough balls (big portion!) were also amazing. They were all cooked perfectly, and sitting in plenty of garlic sauce and butter, and were lovely and soft and doughy inside. Service was also excellent. Very efficient and polite. It's not the cheapest burger (should maybe come with a small portion of fries for that price?) However, it was an amazing burger and I will definitely be back in future for another!
Sam S — Google review
Stopped here for early dinner, and I have to say the Scarface burger was absolutely incredible! The flavours complimented each other perfectly, the chilli fries too were brilliant! Would highly recommend the burgers, they are amazing. There's a great atmosphere, lovely setting, live music, dogs allowed, nice array of rums and craft beer. Would highly recommend this place!

Really poor quality chicken wings tonight, had a box of 20 ended up throwing them after the first few. Don't see an option to post a picture, they were just full of dried blood. Messaged the restaurant to tell them - no response. Shame because the burger was excellent

Fully recommend this place 100%. Best burgers in Stockport. Food is always piping hot, full of flavour and really good portions. Also recommend the boneless chicken wings, best ever, seasoned really good and choose from multiple sauce 👍🏼

Best burgers ever! We literally drive from Nottingham when there's an amazing special. I even have two of the shirts at home. Can't beat a B&B and they aren't too crazy priced either. Whenever there's a good special, you can guarantee we'll be up for it and grab some parma and chill fries as well!
Charlie V — Google review
I've been here 5 or 6 times now, but hadn't been since they moved back to Hazel Grove. When I saw that this week's special was Glazed and Confused, in celebration of National Doughnut Week, I couldn't put off visiting again any longer. I know how many will initially react to the thought of a beef and bacon sandwich between two iced ring doughnuts, but that's what really drew me to it. This just had to work, otherwise they wouldn't be selling it, right? My verdict? This is the best burger that I have ever had. It blows anything I've tried in the past well out of the water. I was pleased to hear that it's something that they do from time to time, and I can't wait to try it again. I followed it up with the cheesecake special, which today was custard cream. This also blew me away. I've never tasted custard so good. I live 25 miles from The Bun and Bones Club. It's well worth the 50-mile round trip. Give it a try. The only thing I can really recommend is to have the special. It's all I've ever tried. See their Insta page for the latest special. Today I had GLAZED AND CONFUSED · Two beef patties · double American cheese · double smoked streaky bacon · dirty dip sauce · sandwiched between two sprinkle glazed doughnuts

Great place to go if u want a burger with a different. Maybe chilly in it.. maybe Mac n cheese in it! The special is always good. Chips are great also as you can put great toppings on them! Staff seemed really helpful n welcoming.

This place has the best burgers in Greater Manchester, all other burgers are compared to these bad boys. The topped fries are a must too. Very reasonable prices and I've never been dissapointed with a visit. Can get very busy and the only seats about 30 people... But well worth the wait or pick up for take away. I tell everyone about this place a must try for burger lovers.

The place offers a diverse range of Chinese dishes such as crispy duck, ribs, noodles, honey-glazed roast char siu pork, and Szechuan staples like hot poached beef in chili oil. Despite facing challenges like break-ins over lockdown, the restaurant continues to serve authentic Chinese cuisine with Northern grit.
The food and atmosphere was superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. There is usually a wait because of their exceptional Cantonese dishes so it's always advisable to call ahead of time before visiting. You would love it.

Professional service, positive reception, delicious food! The spicy noodles was a good portion and the flavours were bold and so tasty, I had to order some rice to enjoy the sauce more! Visited for an early dinner on a Sunday, without a reservation. We’ve been here a few times before and really like the variety in the menu and how fresh everything is cooked/tastes. Would recommend our starters - the har gow, salt and pepper ribs. We share a mixed vegetable fried rice with our mains and to be honest, which was ok but not different/better enough that we’d do the same in the future rather than fried rice or noodles. My main was kind prawns in oyster sauce and it was amazing, with everything cooked well and my husband really enjoyed his mixed with black pepper sauce. Drinks are on the slightly pricier side but overall, prices are ok. Some of the serving staff are friendlier than others, but that’s often the way. Would definitely recommend.

Chinese restaurant on the edge of city centre. Restaurant isnt huge but it still fits a decent number of people. Menu has a wide variety of dishes such as a small selection of dim sum, rice or noodle dishes and normal main dishes. Tried the dim sum platter and there were only 4 dim sums so it's not really worth the price. The xiao pong bao filling was a bit weird as it was very mushy. Special fried rice: taste was good and had a lot of ingredients. slightly on the smaller side for portion size but still ok. Monk fish bowl: taste was good but portion size was quite small. The fish and onions was fragrant and juicy. Beef brisket in curry sauce: the beef brisket was tender and juicy. Portion size was also on the smaller side but not too bad. In general, the taste was decent (except for the xiao long bao) but portion sizes were a bit small for the price. I would probably advice ordering at least 3 dishes between 2 people. 10% Service charge added to the final bill.

Overall, it was just an okay experience. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. Service was kinda slow, especially since there were only a few people there. The vibe was nice though, if you just want a chill spot for a quick meal.

I ordered a chicken wrap expecting a proper meal, but what I got was a joke. As you can see in the photo, there’s barely any chicken in it – just a thin smear of sauce, a sprinkle of cheese, and a few tiny shreds of meat if you can even call it that. The rest is just empty tortilla. Totally not worth the money. This is not what you expect when you pay for a chicken wrap. Won’t be ordering again. Big letdown.

Unfortunately the worse take away I've had in a long time.. my Peri Peri chicken burger had no sauce no salad at all just some onion and the chicken was extremely dry. It arrived warm and on time. That’s the one star that I owe them. Then there’s the food quality. Beef patty that was absolutely the cheapest meat you can find at butchers. Good that it was disguised in veggies, bacon and cheese. Chips were soggy. I guess that the “crispy” is just the description you get on their website as chicken was as soggy as my socks after climbing Snowden. Seriously it was not even the worst part of it. I’ve literally had human hair in my burger packaging. And trust me, it wasn’t mine. Dear LAPD, if you want that specimen back just drop me a message.

Overpriced place that claim to have healthy and top class food but that is not totally true. The organic muzzarella was lacking flavour. The staff wasn't nice at all. We went Sunday morning and the guy was sleepy and with no energy. Ah, they also charge a "discretionary service of 10%" for a service that wasn't good at all. The chairs are also horrible and not comfortable. Please avoid

Very nice coffee but I ordered a yogurt and granola bowl and it took 25 minutes to serve. I was the only person in there when I arrived, and had to ask twice for the bowl and eventually had to get it to takeaway. It cost £6.95 and was about 3 spoonfuls. The server was very kind however.
Jenna W — Google review
Second time trying this brunch/cafe out, first time I was disappointed with the food but blamed that on my choice. I’m not against expensive brunch spots where the food and service deliver but with Green Lab, the staff give off ‘we’re NQ, too good for you vibes’, the service was pretty poor - very cold reception and the food and coffee thrown on the table with any convo, cutlery, napkins or even the simple question of would you like some sugar or anything else by that matter. When i didn’t make the journey for some cutlery and sugar I was able to get some free food that was still attached to my dirty spoon which was an added bonus. The ‘Maple protein pancakes’ at a staggering £12.95 looked like a kid had thrown it together but had zero taste or texture, very sloppy but the worst thing of all was the ‘maple strawberries’ that looked and tasted like they’d been picked from the aldi reduced section 3 days prior. I don’t think they’re meant to be fizzy or sour. Very very poor over all experience, however the flat white was nice but at £4 a go i’d expect nothing less - I’d recommend this place for a quick picture for your insta story but wouldn’t recommend actually eating the food after that. Don’t be tricked by the appearance of this place.

Stopped in for a quick brunch on a Saturday before the match. As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, it still amazes me how eggs on toast now cost around £14 — why 🤯? I decided to give The Green Lab a try since it was one of the few places without a queue. The space has a nice juice bar and coffee shop vibe, so I ordered the Eggs Your Way (scrambled eggs on sourdough). What came out was a very small slice of sourdough — not toasted, no butter — and the tiniest portion of eggs. That was it. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but for the price and portion, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Nice bar! Seating arrangement is a bit weird as tables are too cramped for 4 people but slightly too big for 2. We got asked by staff if we could move to share with another table to accomodate people who'd just walked in, but we rushed our drinks to leave instead of being sat on too small a table with people we didn't know.

Myself and my family had lunch here today for my brother’s birthday and it was fantastic! From start to finish the whole experience was amazing and one of the best meals I’ve had for a while. We all went with the set lunch menu at £26 for three courses and I couldn’t fault it, every course was delicious. Our server Amber was so kind, friendly and attentive, she really made our dining experience that much better, even going so far as to notice that none of us were drinking alcohol and then brought my brother over a non alcoholic cocktail on the house for his birthday. Such a great experience and we will certainly be back !

I had dinner at Hawksmoor Manchester on a weekday evening and was impressed to see how busy it already was. The space itself is large and beautifully designed, with warm, dim lighting that gives it a stylish but welcoming feel. The atmosphere was lively, with a good buzz around the room. We ordered the Porterhouse, and I have to say the fillet side was excellent - tender, juicy, and cooked exactly to the doneness I like. The ribeye was also enjoyable, though not quite as memorable. The bone marrow, while rich and flavorful, leaned a bit too much on the salty side for me. In terms of quality, the steaks here can stand alongside some of the better-known spots in New York, though perhaps not quite at the level of the very top steakhouses there. Still, it's an impressive offering for Manchester, and definitely worth visiting if you're a steak lover.

The food at Hawksmoor is fantastic! Potted beef starter was excellent and the steak was incredible, will definitely be returning. Forgot to take a photo of the sticky toffee sundae but needless to say that was delicious as well. The staff couldn’t do enough to ensure our table of 7 had a brilliant experience.

We went to Hawksmoor for my mother-in-law’s birthday, and it was absolutely spot on from start to finish. The Sunday roast was everything you hope for — perfectly cooked meat, golden roast potatoes, and sides that made you question your life choices for ever eating elsewhere. The staff deserve a special mention: attentive without hovering, friendly without trying too hard, and genuinely good at making you feel looked after. You can tell they know their stuff and actually enjoy what they do. We left full, happy, and already plotting our next visit (any excuse for another roast, really). Highly recommend if you want great food, great service, and a guaranteed good time — even with your mother-in-law in tow!
Nana O — Google review
Was really not planning on visiting this place in July 2025, but it popped up on a search for Sunday Roast and claimed to have been twice voted the best Sunday lunch in the UK. So I decided to venture forth but with no expectations really. Hawksmoor's is housed in a lovely building and upon entry I was greeted with a wide smile and shown to my table upstairs. I was probably one of the first customers so reservations were not needed. The place looked rather fancy while the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. I ordered the Sunday Roast and their Hawksmoor Lager and I have to say I was a little disappointed that the lager came in a can as I was expecting a draught. Nonetheless, the beer was good. To say that the food was good would be a disservice - It was exceptional! It would probably rank as one of the best if not THE best Sunday Roasts I have ever had and believe me I've had quite a few from all over the world. Everything was done just right. The meat was tender and flavourful. The potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy inside while still being firm. Even the cabbage and greens were tasty and the roasted garlic added a lovely touch. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and again done just right. I'm usually not a gravy person, preferring to enjoy my Roast with English Mustard and Horseradish but the gravy was so good I finished it all with the Yorkshire pudding and potatoes. Having enjoyed the Roast so much, I had the Chocolate Anglaise for dessert. This was choc ganache with coffee ice cream surrounded by a chocolate biscuit. It was more than delightful and I recommend it for all chocolate lovers! This was an amazing experience for me at Hawskmoor and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend it highly to everyone. By the time I had finished my meal, the place was crowded so it is obviously popular. Thank you to all the staff and Hawksmoor especially Noah whose name is the only one I can recall. One of the very few places to get 5 stars from me as I dont give them out easily.

Nestled along Blackfriars Street with picturesque views of the River Irwell, EastZEast Riverside in Manchester is a chic Punjabi restaurant that beautifully marries tradition with modern flair. This halal eatery has garnered a loyal following thanks to its warm ambiance and attentive staff, who go above and beyond for their guests. Whether you're indulging in their rich Butter Chicken or savoring the delightful Lamb Saagwala, each dish is crafted from fresh ingredients that promise an explosion of flavors.
We've tried quite a few Indian Restaurants in Manchester over the past year, and EastZEast has been our favourite so far. Service was very good (friendly, non-pushy staff), portion sizes were excellent for the price we paid, and the food was great. Definitely one to revisit.

Been coming here for over 15 years! It is the best! I can taste the food even when I think about it - its own distinctive taste. I’m from Bradford and this is a proper Bradford style curry which you can’t get anywhere in Manchester. Zeeshan was serving us and gave superb service! You need to eat here!

The food is astounding. Such depth and flavour in every bite. Plus we love the Chutney trays with so many choices of Chutney! That's why it's our preferred Indian!

Astonishingly excellent food and great service…!East Zeast must be one of Britain’s best curry restaurants. We enjoyed a DELICIOUS vegetable biriyani, packed with flavour and vegetables, and incredibly tender and wonderful lamb gosht, with mushroom pilau rice. Big shout to our fabulous and extremely knowledgeable server Kay, and the amazing chef and staff team. This is going to be our regular every time we visit Manchester. Thanks so much for your wonderful food and great experience East Zeast team!

Had a group of 20 of us. They were very accommodating and the restaurant itself is absolutely lovely. Considering the amount of food we ordered, it all came quite quickly and no one had any complaints. I personally had the lamb gosht which was incredible with the egg pilau rice. Decent selection of drinks and the staff were fantastic. Great food and great service. Will definitely be coming back!

I was wandering in Manchester city centre when I stumbled upon this place. Looked like a normal place at surface but the real show starts downstairs. Was served by this lovely waiter Zeeshan and upon my inquiry of their best foods, I tried the Lamb Biryani and Bihari Kebabs. Feeling homesick, this was the best cure. One of the best and finest Pakistani food I have come across in UK. Will highly recommend it and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Dishoom Manchester is a trendy restaurant that offers modern Indian cuisine in an elegant setting with stained glass windows. The northern outpost of this popular chain features a Tardis-like layout, providing shorter wait times. The airy Bombay-cafe style room at the front contrasts with the majestic wood-paneled hall at the back, making good use of the former Freemason building.
both For my birthday this year, my sister and I treated ourselves to Lunch at Dishoom in Manchester, and it could not have been more perfect. Conveniently located only a short walk from Manchester Victoria Station, the restaurant set the tone with its beautiful interiors and warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment we stepped inside, the service stood out—friendly, attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was nothing short of spectacular, each dish bursting with authentic flavour and presented with care. The ambience struck a wonderful balance between vibrant energy and relaxed comfort, making it the ideal backdrop for our celebration. The highlight of the occasion was a thoughtful surprise from the team—a birthday cake with a candle brought to the table, which made the occasion feel truly personal and memorable. It was such a lovely gesture that left us both smiling long after we left. Dishoom Manchester has certainly won our hearts, and it’s a place we’ll be returning to again and again. For incredible food, fantastic service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home, this restaurant really is something special.

A must-visit restaurant if you’re passing through Manchester (or any city lucky enough to have one). Dishoom is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to — exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes the entire experience memorable. Make sure to book a few days in advance, as it’s always in high demand and for good reason. The service is top-notch; our server knew the menu inside out and gave us a detailed rundown before we ordered, which was actually very helpful given how extensive the menu is. Now, onto the real star the food. We ordered the lamb samosas, chilli chicken, Dishoom chicken tikka, ruby chicken, chicken biryani, mutton pepper fry, and garlic naan. Every single dish stood out, and what impressed me most was that everyone at the table had a different favorite; a true testament to the consistency and quality of the kitchen. We wrapped up with house chai and rice pudding. The chai was comforting and aromatic; the rice pudding was decent, though not quite at the same level as the mains. Overall, Dishoom delivers an unforgettable dining experience, a perfect blend of flavor, service, and charm. Highly recommended
Ahmed M — Google review
In the waiting lobby we were provided with free cups of chai which enlightened our whole mood while the table was being arranged. The place is too big. We had Butter chicken(Chicken Ruby), Dal makhani and Mattar Paneer out of which I liked Chicken Ruby and Mattar Paneer the most. Dal Makhani was okayish. Prices were also decent. Service and food quality was too notch. A wonderful experience for Indians with perfect blend of Indian spices and aroma with perfect vibe of vintage Bollywood style.
Jonathan G — Google review
Such a great experience. The food was amazing. Service was excellent. I have an allergy and the chef checked the whole menu what I could order and what not. They took it seriously. The place looks amazing. I recommend this place 10/10.
89bojoura — Google review
The atmosphere was pleasant, though a little on the loud side due to the building’s acoustics. Service was excellent with attentive staff throughout the evening. The food, however, was mixed. The lamb chops were disappointing — overpriced, underwhelming in flavour, and nowhere near the standard of Dastaan or Khai Khai. A real letdown. On the other hand, the keema was beautifully spiced and truly met the benchmark of authentic North Indian Punjabi cooking. Everything else on the menu was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. With such limited main course options and no standout dishes to draw me back, I’m not sure I’d return.
Bal P — Google review
We had a very pleasant experience at Dishoom, we’d been wanting to try it for years, and it lived up to our expectations in many ways. The food was overall quite good; we especially loved the ruby chicken and the broccoli salad. The grilled meats were decent, though the lamb was a bit too spicy for our taste. Service was excellent, the staff greeted us warmly and remained attentive throughout the meal. The environment was lively, though a bit loud and crowded. It ran like a well-oiled machine, impressively efficient, though perhaps a little too polished to feel truly relaxed.
Sophie L — Google review
Quick and friendly, service the staff were welcoming and attentive from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely amazing, with high-quality ingredients and authentic flavours, all at a very reasonable price. I ordered the Wrestler’s Naan Roll, which was delightful, perfectly cooked naan, packed with flavour, and a great balance of spice and texture. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Dishoom!

Great vegetarian food and great atmosphere for a very reasonable price. Waiters were very nice and kind. When we ordered, we were notified that one of the drinks we wanted was unavailable, so we ordered something else, however before we left, they got stock back in and so gave it on the house. Will definitely be coming again.

Food was good, the mrs loved the steak as a person with allergies with red meat, chicken option was good and average, i guess this place is mainly for steak, hence why i left a 5* :) The food was somewhat different to normal turkish food, the bbq wings were fried not grilled, ps it did state that on the menu but i just assumed it was grilled lol but the food was good, staff very polite and knowledgeable. The layout of the restaurant is very nice and spacious. Mocktails - decent

Here for the excellent two course lunchtime / afternoon specials - all freshly prepared. The banquette seating can become uncomfortable if you suffer from lower back pain, there are chairs at all tables as an alternative.

We visited mid afternoon on a week day. So was very very quiet. Personally we were not impressed. The food was ok but the meat lacked flavour and very few sauces given so felt very dry. Given the price we were disappointed. The lamb chops were the only expectation to the above. The beef dishes were really disappointing. The service was good from the staff friendly and polite, however we had 4 different waiters/waitresses in our 2 hours. So food we ordered didn’t arrive, we asked and it was then forgotten again as the waiter had changed. Then overcharged on the bill as the new waitress wasn’t aware that some food was never bought out. That really was disappointing again especially given the price. The restaurant has a nice feel. However felt dark and music was very loud. Overall, given the price of the food and how quiet it was we were left disappointed.

Nestled in the vibrant area of Fallowfield, Nayaab Buffet Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that specializes in classic Indian and Pakistani cuisine. This contemporary eatery offers an extensive buffet filled with mouthwatering dishes like chicken tikka masala, daal, and crispy chicken drumsticks. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for family gatherings or special celebrations. With its colorful decor and friendly service, Nayaab ensures a memorable dining experience for everyone.
We went for my daughter’s birthday without booking. We wanted to sit in the pavilion area but the tables were reserved however, we were shown to another table straight away in the private dining room. Staff were lovely and polite. The food was plentiful, lots of choices and all delicious and good quality. A good choice on starters and lamb on bone was delicious. Prices were reasonable (£16 per head) however, it doesn’t include drinks which is £6 for a jug of drink. The environment was stunning, great for pictures. I would highly recommend this place.

We decided to try this place after a visit to the Trafford Centre, and it was a great choice! At £16 per person, the buffet line offered was quality. The biryani stood out as genuinely one of the best I've ever had at a buffet. Beyond the food, the service was great, and the level of cleanliness for a buffet restaurant was truly exceptional. The convenience of a manned, off-street car park was a definite bonus.

We visited Nayaab Buffet Restaurant in Manchester on Friday, and what a fantastic experience it was from start to finish. The atmosphere was beautiful, warm, inviting, and full of energy, the perfect setting for a relaxed evening. The food was absolutely plentiful, fresh, and constantly topped up, which is exactly what you hope for at a buffet but rarely find done so well. Everything in the buffet was spot on, right from the salad bar (no old brown lettuce here, everything was fresh and crispy), to the chips (not fried in old dirty oil or burnt chips, but clean, golden, crispy and tasty). The starters were amazing, fresh, and literally melted in your mouth. Moving on to the mains, every dish was beautiful, from the Bindi (okra), Aloo Saag, the Nihari (lamb shank), Paaya (trotters), and Haleem stood out as rich, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. And of course, we had to save room for dessert. The spread was just as impressive, with Ice Creams, Cakes, Puddings, Gulab Jamans, Trifle, and my personal favourite, Gajrella, all made with care and full of flavour. The staff were all amazing, but a special mention has to go to Aisha, who truly made our evening. She was exceptional, full of life, sharing laughs and giggles with my wife like they’d known each other for years. On top of her genuine personality, she went above and beyond in making sure my wife had safe, gluten free options. She worked hard to sort everything out, never once making it feel like any trouble. It’s rare to meet someone so hardworking and so genuine at the same time, she has a very bright future ahead of her. God bless you Aisha 🙏🏼, a remarkable young lady. For the price it's well worth every penny! We left feeling full, happy, and very well looked after, with happy memories. Without a doubt, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended! May the almighty shower you guys with abundance amount of Barakah, Ameen! Naz, Mary, Aahil & Mahir

We had the most experience, came to celebrate an event and the staff was absolutely amazing, they didn’t charge my parents as they are elderly and they told us they don’t charge for disabled and elderly which was honestly something we never seen anywhere else. The atmosphere was amazing so respectful and nice. The food was amazing, with loads of variety.

Habibul L — Google review
I recently visited Nayaab for their buffet and was very disappointed with the overall experience. The karahi was not at all up to the mark, and the haleem tasted bland. The fried items from the grill were below average, and even the king prawns lacked any real flavour. The trifle had no taste, which was another letdown. What really bothered me was the so-called "ice cream." In reality, they were serving frozen dessert and misrepresenting it as ice cream, which feels deceiving to customers. At buffet prices, guests should be getting authentic items, not shortcuts. On top of that, the music and overall vibe of the place felt very off, which only added to the disappointment. The only things that were somewhat okay were the gulab jamuns and the lamb on the bone. Overall, My Nayaab’s buffet was not worth the visit. Definitely would not be coming back.

Sweet Mandarin is a family-run restaurant located on High Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The establishment, opened in 2004, is run by three sisters who inherited recipes from their late grandmother, Lily Kwok. The menu features dishes like jungle green curry, beef curry, and clay pot chicken. Sweet Mandarin also offers gluten-free options and click-and-collect service for banquets and dim sum.
This is the place for you if you're looking for good, affordable and glutenfree Chinese food in Manchester. I made a reservation via email for the same day and heard back five minutes later. For some reason Google Maps showed me a location in Thomas Street, but the restaurant is actually two streets away in Copperas Street.
Jan K — Google review
With me being coeliac, finding proper Chinese food with gluten free options is incredibly difficult. So when I saw a video of this place on TikTok, I was really excited and eager to try it out. I visited on a Tuesday with my boyfriend, optimistic and genuinely pleased to have found a place that caters to coeliacs—especially as Chinese food is one of my favourites. However, a few things stood out right away. Firstly, the opening times are very limited—just four hours a day. Because of this, the atmosphere during our hour-long visit felt very quiet and lifeless. Extending the hours might help bring in more customers and improve the vibe. When it came to ordering, the waitress seemed unenthusiastic and uninterested. I ordered prawn toast and asked for the chicken chow mein without chicken, essentially making it a vegetable version. About ten minutes later, she returned to ask, “Which chow mein did you mean?” With only two options on the menu, this somehow made her confused. I repeated my request, which she then questioned loudly with the chef that I overheard. This didn’t feel very professional and made it seem like I was asking for something really complicated when I simply just wanted a chow mein without chicken. When the food arrived, hot enough to burn your mouth, it was extremely underwhelming. The prawn toast was tough, my boyfriend’s chicken in the munchbox was really chewy, and my chow mein was about 90% bean sprouts. The dish was overly salty, which masked any other flavours, and it had an oddly shiny, slippery texture that put me off after a few mouthfuls. My boyfriend tasted it too and felt the same. The bigges disappointment was the price—£46 in total for food that was below average, both in taste and quality. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to expectations, and we felt that neither the food nor the service justified the cost. We won’t be returning.

Was so lovely having dinner here, they are so good for gluten free food so my mum was able to eat proper Chinese without gluten which is rare so she was incredibly excited! I am quite fussy myself and usually don’t like Chinese but they had a really nice starter soup and this massive box of chicken and chips so I was sorted. Staff were so sweet and friendly.

We went back in May and the food was so lovely! We had the duck spring rolls, the vegetable dumplings, the vermicelli, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips and chicken in black bean. All that and bottle of wine for £70 was a bargain, so full of flavour and worth every penny We had told the staff when we reserved that it was our anniversary and the staff gave us a lovely card and these cute coasters. We were so made up, we'll definitely be coming again after that!

Absolutely brilliant meal this evening at Sweet Mandarin. Our teenager enjoyed his meal so much he ordered a whole second meal (portion sizes are great, he's a growing boy!). This & That is a long-standing family-run Indian dining room located in the Northern Quarter. It's known for its classic menu of Indian curries, offering a "rice 'n' three" option where customers can choose from a variety of curries at an affordable price. The restaurant is unassuming but serves fresh, homemade food with bold flavors thanks to their use of whole spices.
We saw this restaurant on a YouTube “must visit in Manchester” and made a special trip. No frills, extremely friendly staff (guessing most are family). Genuinely interested in customers. Food was very tasty and will come again if we visit. They run out of some items towards closing time so I would get there an hour before closing. It’s off the main road down a lane so it’s a little hidden. :)

It was quite busy and there was a 30 minute wait to be seated. We walked away and came back. It was cute they had their name on the plates. I’d come back here again!

Nice vibes inside, very cozy, nice music selection. Them loaded fries was unbelievable probably the BEST I’ve ever had, they’re a big portion which is great but we were too full to finish them off.

Food and Coffee is very good! Recommend highly, especially if you're hungover. We had Full English, and Chicken and Waffles which was the daily special.

We visited last sunday for brunch. The place was busy but still had a few empty tables. We were told that there is a 20 minute wait. When we got back after 20 minutes we were sat to our table. The staff took ages to take our order. We ordered the American pancakes and asked if they could not add the meat on but an extra egg. The waitress informed us the the extra egg would be charged extra, even though we would not be getting the sausage party and bacon. I ordered the chicken waffle, the mixture of flavours did not really suit my palet and was not very tasty. I have not been for years but it has definitely changed and not for the best. On a positive note dogs are welcome, however, I could not see a water bowl and was not offered one.

Cafe Football is a restaurant located inside Hotel Football, offering a variety of dining options inspired by the world of football. The restaurant provides a scenic view of the River Irwell and the iconic Old Trafford stadium, making it an ideal spot for Manchester United fans. For those less interested in football, the picturesque river view adds to the dining experience.

Visited when Manchester United were playing away so I could watch the game on TV as I ate dinner. One of the managers (I assume?) was very friendly and came over to speak to us early on, which was a nice touch. Saw him doing this with other tables too. We were sat by a window and had a nice close up view of Old Trafford, which is right opposite. There was a fair bit of a wait for the food, but I didn't mind this at all, as I was more interested in the football! When it came out, three of the pizzas were wrong, but it was dealt with immediately. Again, I didn't mind too much as my priorities were elsewhere, but they were very apologetic and even went as far to say they were embarrassed. They offered to take the one correct meal away to be replaced with a fresh one at the same time as the rest, but my wife declined the kind offer. When the correct food came out, it was good. Nothing incredible, but pretty much the standard I expected. We were able to enjoy and take our time eating while we watched the game. Eventually when we asked for the bill, I noticed it seemed a lot lower than what I had expected. I asked if something had been taken off (too honest for my own good!). The server explained that they'd taken off 20% because of the earlier errors, which was very nice of them to be honest. They wouldn't have even mentioned it if I hadn't, which was classy of them.

Last visited: Sept 2025 I regularly head over for tea, coffee, or hot chocolate during the day. A bite to eat and a drink once in a while in the evening. Friendly staff. I tend to stay away during match days but that it my preference.

We had dined here on multiple days as we stayed at hotel football. The restaurant is Man Utd themed sports bar style so expect fast food and nothing more. Food is pretty good and goes well with beer and other liquor. Breakfast has both continental and hot food options. There are vegetarian options too. Enjoy the view of Old Trafford stadium while dining here.

We visited Cafe Football 20/12. We went for afternoon tea as a celebration for my grandparents. We absolutely loved it. The whole experience. From stepping foot inside, we were treated like royalty, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant was lovely, my grandparents loved it. My grandad is a united fan and we had a fabulous views of the stadium. The afternoon tea was delicious. Really can't fault anything. Thank you for a fantastic experience and making the day so special.

We have tried food off of the room service menu and breakfast at Cafe Football and everything has been delicious and hot. The room service was prompt. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast and the selection of food offered was generous. I am really pleased with Cafe Football. Worth a try.

Food let's this place down. Flavourless meatballs. The nachos are toasted/burnt, the Caesar salad was bang average served with an egg! Milkshakes watery. Nice staff and great atmosphere

Stopped at Hotel Football so ate here 4 times. The staff and service were great. However I think they got with the motto of Quantity not quality. Had a burger one night and found it to be virtually raw in the middle but burnt outside. Had a steak the second night and although the steak was large it wasn’t great for nearly £20. The breakfast on both mornings have to be my best meal there. Overall I would say it’s a poor mans F&B’s

Peck & Yard in Chorlton has expanded to a second location near the Northern Quarter, offering Asian-style fried chicken with unique flavors like Korean barbecue and classic salt and pepper. The menu includes vegetarian and vegan options such as halloumi strips and cauliflower bites with a choice of sauce. Described as a Pan-Asian Chicken Shack, it offers an up-market fast-food takeaway experience with spicy chicken dishes, burgers, baos, and more.
Today was second visit after it first opened fee years back. Got to say they've maintained the quality. Delicious food. Chicken lovers will definitely love this place. We ordered feast combo which is quite filling for 2 with amazing salt and pepper chips and fried egg rice. With 5 different sauces. Alot of variety to choose from. Amazing customer service. Will definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try something new. It has a touch of Asian flavour. Prices are also reasonable. Local joint not too busy. Keep up the quality 👌

Cluckin good chicken! Made fresh to order and cooked to perfection the sauces are a must and are the perfect accompaniment to any order! The dippable combos are endless . Want fried chicken with some speciality asian sauces, Peck & Yard is the place for you The whole concept of Peck & Yard is based around doing the basic staple food and doing it well. This is exactly what they deliver with the nice, cosy setup in Chorlton with around 20 seats inside and another 20 outside (which would be perfect for the nice days we are hopefully going to get with summer round the corner but then again we’re in the Northwest so maybe unlikely). The place has been opened just over a year and has aspirations for another branch...hopefully soon and round the corner from us because this was yummy! Our meal for the day was the ‘The Feast’ (£19.50) and this consisted of pretty much every type of fried chicken. This consisted of; 4 wings & 4 drumettes in a light dough 2 thighs & 1 breast in panko breadcrumbs 2 sides, for which we got the spicy rice and salt & pepper fries. The fries were lovely and covered with spices and onions so make sure you give it a good mix to get a bit of everything 5 sauces; •Melayu - Sweet peanut sauce, like you usually get with some chicken satay •Korean Spice - Sweet to start with, and then leaves you with the spicy kick •P&Y - their very own special sauce providing a sweet finish •Katsu - Classic Japanese flavour, which is pretty much like a curry sauce from the chippies •Korean Cheese - Creamy cheese, slightly like american gooey cheese They will also grill the chicken upon request and provide some interesting vegetarian options as well. This was really good that we haven’t stopped telling people about it since we went. Recommendation Rating: High Price: £ Service: 9/10 Halal: Chicken & all sauces but Miyagi (contains alcoholic sake)

Modern British restaurant
Mana is a high-end, reservation-only British restaurant in Ancoats, Manchester. It has been awarded the city's first Michelin star in over 40 years and offers imaginative, locally sourced dishes in a minimalist setting with an open kitchen. Chef Simon Martin's tasting menus feature playful and attractive dishes, such as colorful violas on malt flatbread served on moss.
Cat was a lovely hostess and sommelier! the food was amazing! Everything felt very special. Definitely recommend going and I will for sure be going back there again!
Karl Y — Google review
Mana is Manchester’s first Michelin starred restaurant and one of only two in the city; the 2nd being recently awarded to Skof. I decided to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife here. Overall it was a good experience although imo quite expensive for what we received. Undoubtedly a huge effort went into the food presented with a total (I think) of 14 dishes served. However no dish really stood out for me that I’d say was exceptional. With that said, no dish was poor or not enjoyable either. The restaurant is in Ancoats and is one large open space accommodating a lounge, the tables and an open kitchen. I quite liked the minimalist clean decor however my wife got startled on a few occasions with sudden loud bursts of “yes chef” from the open kitchen. Service was mixed. Our sommelier was great (and highly entertaining!) however the young lady at reception didn’t even smile at us when we walked in & then mistakenly added £140 extra on our bill at the end. Like many fine dining restaurants I’ve been to, Mana’s worthwhile for a special occasion but it’s unlikely I’d go back again.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary meal in style. From the moment you arrive the service is personal, warm and above all amusing and joyful. Special shoutouts to Kat, the “quite funny” waitress and the sommelier Nikolai who discussed the wine with real knowledge and joy. And then to the food which was all full of flavours and textures and was as beautiful as it looked. The courses were served with pride by the chefs. Definitely worthy of its Michelin star and a wonderful experience.

1 star michelin restaurant. Booked for 7pm on a friday. We arrived at 6:50pm but doors weren't opened yet. Restaurant wasn't full I think as they had a few tables free. Went for mums birthday. When you arrive, you get seated in the waiting/bar area so you can order your drinks and have your first few courses served. After around 30 minutes, youre brought to your table, all chairs were situated to face the kitchen. Still or sparkling water is offered to the table at a fixed price of £4 per table. A sweet handwritten birthday card was placed on our table. Each course is brought to you, for everyone on the table, at the same time and one of the chefs would introduce the dish to you - some even explained the science behind the dish which was very interesting (even though i dont remember anything besides them mentioning amino acid 😅). overall service was really good as you'd expect - staff were friendly, giving us the privacy we wanted but not making us feel ignored either. Interior design was like a modern nature/wood theme which was nice. no dress code so you can dress as casual as you want or as dressed up as you want. I would say its a semi-fine dining setting as they followed some fine dining rules but not all. Food was nice. some courses were better than others depending on what you like. Some dishes were a bit on the salty side but since each dish was quite small, it wasnt too bad. The 3 day aged milk bread was my favourite 😍. Scallop, peas and duck were also nice. Wasnt a massive fan of the wasabi oyster but still gave it a try. The sweet treat at the end (cold toffee with a concentrated coffee kombucha filling) was surprisingly nice! I'm not a fan of coffee and when I heard there was coffee, I thought I wouldnt like it but surprisingly, it had a coffee taste but no bitterness of coffee. Non alcoholic wine pairing is available but must be pre-booked. Menu is seasonal and changes roughly every 3 months. Would definitely visit again.

The most amazing experience ever. The attention to detail is insane! The whole menu makes sense throughout and the wine pairing (which is extremely recommended) makes even more sense! The sommelier was amazing! My favourites were the Salt Aged Beef, Quisquillas, The Rest of the Lobster, the duck Salad and the Rest of the Duck. Also, the quality of the glasses… I was obsessed! The way that we see all the chefs in the kitchen working so well is incredible and even the way that they make sure the glasses are spotless… wow 100% coming back and excited to try all the menus as they keep changing it! Best birthday dinner of my life for sure!

Mana offers the fine dining experience that you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. Our group of 4 had the 'extracts' tasting menu for lunch and splashed out on the wine pairing because why wouldn't you? All 4 of us found each dish to be delicious and often surprising (I'm thinking of you, horseradish flour). Lighter flavoured dishes alternated with very punchy dishes that we all thought gave a nice rhythm to the meal. Last but definitely not least, staff are all fantastic and the sommelier is both very knowledgeable and as chatty as you want him to be... just don't believe the "I've only worked here 2 days" 🤣 Oh, don't be too surprised by the shout outs from the kitchen (reminded us of the much calmer bits of the series 'The Bear').

It could be that I've saved the best until last and it was closer to home than I realized. Having visited Moor Hall (3 Michelin stars; could have been much better), Heft (1 Michelin star; very generous portions), we reach Mana in central Manchester. The restaurant itself is situated close to the old Express Newspaper building next to the Northern Quarter. Indeed, Mana sits directly opposite the Halle Orchestra rehearsal and recording space; an enclave of newly refurbished original brick buildings that have expanded the living area around the rapidly expanding city centre. Many years ago, my wife, family and I were regular visitors to Juniper in Altrincham. That restaurant also held a Michelin star by the late Paul Kitching. I recall a sense of fun about that restaurant with lollipops being served during some courses and dessert offered up in paper cups. To compliment the fun though, the food was outstanding and Paul perhaps never fully received the credit he deserved. His pea soup and Christmas pudding souffle were simply fantastic. That sense of fun seems to have emerged again at Mana with some beautifully executed dishes rounded off with a memorable chilled stick of fudge. Our amuse, as with the other Michelin restaurants we have dined at recently, was excellent. An earthy mouthful of celeriac and cep mushroom stew. A common trend among the Michelin restaurants that we have tried of late has been custard! We had one custard dish with smoked enoki mushrooms at Heft, here is was barbeque broccoli as the accompaniment. Other family family members had duck served two different ways over two courses, whereas, I stuck with vegetarian and roast cauliflower with a sweet truffle jus that was excellent. A bowlful of mushroom ragu followed that was equally as impressive, before a quite tart chocolate mousse with a flamboyant wisp of woodruff crisp completed our experience. It was left to the finger of chilled fudge and it's rich ganache core to send us off into the warm afternoon air with a definite skip in our collective steps.

The Sparrows Continental Pasta & Spätzle is a hidden gem located under railway arches, offering a cozy and zen-like setting with a brick patio. The restaurant specializes in spatzle, chunky fresh egg pasta noodles topped with traditional sauces like kase or guanciale. Guests can also enjoy a variety of international drinks including daily sake, wine, and pilsner.
Food here is lovely. The staff here are really lovely as well. Our family are really glad to have come here to dine in celebrating my brother’s graduation. What was surprising is that one of the staff gave us a small cup of wine on the house for us to celebrate my brother’s convocation! That was so nice of them to do so. All in all, my family were really happy to be here and would love to visit again whenever we come back to Manchester.
Bryan L — Google review
It has been an overall good experience and the food is of good standards with a decent service and a buzzing atmosphere. There are clearly positive considerations about the Sparrows but it is important to be objective on the offering. Personally I have found the cost of the sharing platters very punchy - £17 pounds for the speck and £18 for the cheeses - as per picture the size is deceiving, especially for the cheese board. I do agree on the tastefulness of the cheese but sharing is a euphemism. On the main courses, the pasta was nice and the sauces are balanced. For those that have been to good quality European restaurants though, especially Italian and Mediterranean, the comparison is not straight forward. Personally I liked the concept and set up, post industrial location is quite nice, but value for money lacks for me the strength to support the price point. Obviously, I suppose it boils down to what you are used to and what you consider value. Please also be aware that when the restaurant is busy, the noice level might require engagement of tenor voice 😀

The handmade pasta tastes fresh — the pappardelle was pleasantly firm, but the gnocchi and spätzle were much softer than I expected. The waiter explained that handmade pasta is meant to be soft rather than chewy, which makes sense, though the texture wasn’t really to my liking. The tiramisu’s coffee biscuits were too soggy, and the seating area was quite cramped with little space between tables. Service was just average overall.

I had many of my friends recommending this place, and when we finally tried it for my birthday - it exceeded all expectations! The service was amazing, very helpful and welcoming. The food was unreal, very unique menu with lots of things to try. We tried a fair few dishes as recommended and I’m still thinking about their pastas dishes. I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for making my birthday so special.

Lovely date night spot. Tried the Guanciale & bolognese (fave of the two) which were both tasty. The chef’s pick of the day was I & my partner’s personal favourite! And the Focaccia bread is a must try. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu which wasn’t the best I’ve tasted. It was quite soggy. Now, I did find the waiters continuously hovering around the table a bit excessive! They came at frequent intervals, at least 7-8 times which eventually became awkward. My partner and I were having an intimate moment (which was very clear😅) and were interrupted & distracted twice by 2 different waiters under just a few minutes. I know the intention is to make sure guests are doing well (like so many other restaurants I’ve been to), however it did become annoying at some point.

We did some extensive research on the best restaurant in Manchester for a special occasion and they unequivocally recommended this place. We made a reservation to celebrate our birthday, and this place did not disappoint. It is tucked away in an unassuming location—which makes it hard to find: we ended up walking in through the produce delivery door 😂. It truly was a gem, exceeding our expectations. I had been fascinated about the central/eastern european dumplings, and this is THE place to explore this fascination. Every dish was carefully prepared, well balanced, and unique. Their carbonara was DIVINE! Better than what you’d find in the best Roman Osterias. Their daily special, Polish hunter stew with cabbage, was also decadent and delicious. They also brought us complimentary digestifs to round up the meal and help us celebrate. We will be back next time we are in Manchester.
Anahita K — Google review
I’ve been wanting to eat here for six years or so. I’ve been going to Manchester more often recently but only just managed to visit. It exceeded my high expectations! We didn’t have a reservation but as it was early evening on a Tuesday, we managed to get a table. It was pleasantly busy at 6.00pm! The first impression is how good the front of house team are. Relaxed & friendly but knowledgeable & efficient. The food is carb heavy, which I was expecting, it’s what the restaurant does. The spätzle was superb. The pelmeni even better. Focaccia bread up there with the best I’ve ever eaten. We had a very well dressed lettuce salad and a tomato salad as sides which lightened the carb load! However, for me, the unexpected star of the show was the smoked char. Genuinely the best smoked fish I’ve ever tasted. I’m really looking forward to going back!

Had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. Decor is a little dated and a bit diy. It’s a nice place and I can see why it’s popular with the locals. I’d recommend what I ate - the pie and sticky toffee pudding. Mrs had the steak but was too well done for me.
Dave W — Google review
We've walked past the fat loaf so many times in the 8 years we've lived locally and never once been in, yet kept saying we'd try it. We've heard good things from different people, and it is always busy on passing. Our son turned 25 this month, so I suggested we finally try it. After reading the menu online, he was super excited to try it. I booked online for 4 people, it is so easy to do, and I received a confirmation by email and a reminder near the booked date. There was no deposit asked for. We walked to the restaurant but there is plenty of parking available around the village on the roadside, parking in the buck which you pay for at the machine, parking in the plough pub providing you use the pub I assume. On entering the restaurant, we were struck by how nice the decor was. It's painted in warm dark tones but isn't dingy. It's cosy, inviting, and comfortable. Lighting is on point, enough to see what you're eating but not glaring and intrusive. There was a large table set up on the bar side for a big booking, other smaller tables around it and we went around the wall divide to an area with more tables all spaced to allow plenty of people to dine but not on top of each other. Having booked one of the early evening slots, it was quiet when we arrived, so we were given a choice of where to sit and chose the window area. The young man who welcomed us in was very nice, cheeky and fun, patient and great at his job. He recommended a lovely beer for my husband to try, and even I enjoyed it having taken a sip and then a big old glug after that - and I don't drink beer! Really good recommendation 👌🏻 The drinks were served super swiftly and our food choices were taken from there. The menu has some fabulous options on it, spoilt for choice, to be honest. I think we all made such joyous noises on taking our first bites of the starters. They were absolutely delicious. The feta starter was spot on, served with a finely cut fruit, which added the juiciest, sweetest contrast to the taste of the feta tang. Crumbed and fried to perfection, timed perfectly so it wasn't dried out and tasteless. Pomegranate seeds and dressing finished the dish to the best taste level ever. The sausage roll starter was gorgeous. the husband practically inhaled it because it was so delicious. The meat was soft, juicy, and full of flavour. Our sons scotch egg dish was the best scotch egg I have ever sampled in my life. My son adored it, perfectly cooked egg, soft centred surrounded by the most moist of meats brimming with flavour. Black pudding is added to the meat mix, and it adds such a flavourful twist to what could have been a bland dish. Another amazing starter. DIL had the garlic bread, just heavenly! Crisp but not overdone, thin but not dried out, oozing with the freshest tasting garlic butter. Perfection. I can highly recommend the fillet steak for the main. Mine was cooked amazingly and completely on point, I can't stand seeing blood in any meat. Even pink meat puts me off, so I asked for it to be overdone. Previous places I've dined at have incinerated my mains and ruined dishes because of it. It's a fine balance, and the chef at the fat loaf has the most amazing skill of timing each one to the dot! My steak came with not a millimetre of pink to be found yet was so tender and juicy I was speechless. Literally, I didn't talk for most of the main as I savoured each piece melting in my mouth. Hubby once again devoured his food in rapid time, stating that it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had as a steak. Other dishes enjoyed were the steak pie (perfect pastry and melt in your mouth meat again) and the risotto with butternut squash(?). Cocktails were consumed after the main. I ordered the cheesecake, a good-sized wedge of light, fluffy, goodness that I could have eaten again and again. The birthday boy was full and didn't want a pudding. He soon regretted that on seeing and tasting mine. I ordered another piece, and it was delivered to him with a single lit candle by our fab gentleman looking after us that evening. Very thoughtful ❤️ 5☆

I can't praise this family run restaurant enough. I would give this restaurant six stars if it was possible. My husband had the rump steak and he absolutely LOVED it and he's a fussy eater. The meat was tender and so tasty and peppercorn sauce was superb. Personally I didn't find anything on the menu that I fancy, I'm fussy too, so I asked the owner if they had chicken, she said it's not a problem. I asked for chicken breast, mashed potatoes with asparagus and pickled gherkins. It was so delicious, the meat was so excellent, cut like butter. Superb attentive service and nice relaxed atmosphere. Busy too but not crazy or frantic. If it wasn't so far from where we live in Norfolk we'd come regularly.

Oh my Dog! I found this restaurant on Google as a fluke and best fluke ever!! The Viet Shack Restaurant in Manchester is a buzzing and colourful outlet serving up delicious street food and cocktails. With an extensive menu of Vietnamese small plates as well as larger dishes, the experience is definitely one not to be missed!
Arrived around 5:50 pm on a Saturday evening — busy enough with most tables filled, but still comfortable. We sat down and ordered a Pho and Summer Rolls. Barely five minutes later, our food was on the table. Having tried a lot of decent Vietnamese spots around Manchester since Viet Shack moved from the Arndale, I hadn’t visited this location until now. I have to say, it’s very impressive — the Pho was full of rich, aromatic flavours, and the Summer Rolls were fresh and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and efficient despite the busy atmosphere, making the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ancoats and craving authentic Vietnamese food.

Very busy, but for a good reason, great food, with lots of options to cover every taste, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. I chose the crispy duck com as my main, after being advised by a member of staff that it was her favourite dish, I wasn’t disappointed, excellent taste, nice crispy finish to the duck, and way more than I could manage to finish. Well worth a visit, certainly glad I did !

Came here for dinner (mid day meal). Great dinner specials menu. I had the Veganese burger with chips. It was delicious. Served with a pot of delicious Thai Nguyen tea. Only £11.

Visited for the first time after hearing great things and had high hopes. The dumplings were tasty, but unfortunately both the summer rolls and beef bún were really bland. The noodles were completely plain, served with just beef (which was okay) and salad. They gave us a bottle of chilli and lime dressing with the mains, but no matter how much we added, it just didn’t seem to bring any real flavour. What’s disappointing is that I’ve since seen reviews from a year ago saying the same thing — so it doesn’t seem like feedback is being taken on board (in hindsight, we should’ve checked that before going!) We were tempted by the shack fries but didn’t want to order an extra main on top of those we’d already ordered, so we asked if we could order the mini shack fries from the kids menu to have as a side just so we could try them. We’d already ordered a starter and a main each, so it seemed a bit silly to be told no because apparently they’re strict that only under-11s can order from the kids menu. While I get the rule if adults are trying to order kids meals instead of an adults main, in this context it didn’t really make sense as we’d already ordered a main each. The waitress was lovely and polite, and I get that it’s a small venue with quick turnaround, but putting the bill down before we asked for it (with a “no rush”) and then coming over with the card machine a few minutes later, unprompted, while we were still mid-drink made us feel rushed. Based on this experience, unfortunately, I wouldn’t return or recommend.

Excellent food, it is a few months since we been but again loved it. Fresh, spicy and full of flavour. Even the side salad had a lovely dressing

Staying in Manchester for 5 nights training. Luckily managed to find this little gem. I have only eaten here! The crispy duck with rice and salad is outrageously tasty. Ashamedly I've eaten it 4 days in a row 😅 in my defence, I have alternated the sides. The crispy squid has been perfect every time. The crab taco was something I'd never tried before. Actual whole crab, shell and all, deep fried and breaded making everything edible. Surprised me but great to try something new. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries. I got greedy a couple of times and ordered the extra portion of duck meat to accompany the already huge portio of duck and rice. Not for the feint of heart. Sat in twice, servers very polite. Food came quickly. Take out also fast, great comms food was still really hot when arrived. Needless to say, I will be back 🤤 probably for the 5th night.

Viet Shack in Ancoats is a decent spot for Vietnamese food. The atmosphere is casual, and the menu offers a good variety of dishes. The summer rolls, which were great, and they do have a good selection of vegetarian options. It's worth noting that they don't take reservations, so there can be a wait, and the space is somewhat limited. If you're looking for a low-key meal and don't mind a potential wait, it's a great option.

Vegetarian cafe and deli
Health food store
Nestled on Oxford Road, The Eighth Day Shop & Cafe is a vibrant workers' cooperative that has been serving the community since 1970. More than just a grocery store, it offers an impressive selection of organic vegetarian and vegan products alongside an inviting cafe space. This unique spot caters to those seeking ethical and eco-friendly options, featuring fresh produce, cruelty-free groceries, and even beauty items.
Beautiful little cafe in Manchester! The staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious. It's great for vegans, with a lot of healthy options as well. I went for the salad bowl, and got most of every salad option they had - all of which was good. There's also a little shop above, with things like vegan yorkshire puddings for sale.

I spotted this place on the way to Manchester Museum and decided to go back for lunch. I am vegetarian and I was intrigued by the fact that it is run, and has been for decades, by a workers collective. I ordered a small salad bowl. It wasn't small at all to be honest! Very filling and a good mix of stuff in it. Good flavours. Cost £8.50 for the salad and a drink. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Cafe downstairs serving great tasting healthy and nutritious plant-based food with great portions for the price. The shop has a fantastic dedicated nutritionist who provides helpful advice without trying to push any particular items onto you. Loads of vegan and organic food options in the shop including a deli

This is a great place with a fab range of products, especially if you're vegan. The shop has beautiful cakes, wraps and baked goods as well as a range of artisan produce and health food. They have a very extensive range of vitamins. The basement cafe is brilliant - really good quality plant-based food at a very fair price and a nice relaxed atmosphere. They also do fab smoothies and juices. It's right on the bus route, and there are plenty of cycle racks outside if you're on your bike!

Amazing veggie/vegan food served in a relaxed, cafeteria style basement. Never had a bad meal here. Everything is prepared each day on the premises. They also provide outside catering if required. Look out for their special occasion set menu days (valentine/mother's day), which you need to book in advance. Amazing grocery shop above too. Shame it's not open Sunday, when I am mostly in town, so always a treat for me to visit mid week.

MAR 25 Whenever down Oxford Road, I love a wander around this wholesome shop. They have beautiful (and reasonably priced) kombucha- I also got a few bottles of ChariTea. * This is one of the few places in Manchester that sells Friendly Soap, but on this occasion, I also popped down to the café for lunch. My vegan sausage sandwich was a delight!

The best of the best! There is nothing this shop does not have. A vegan paradise for locals and travellers, with vegan cafe downstairs. All sorts of products like essential oils, soap, spices, ready made food, a hot deli, sauces, VEGAN QUICHE, vegan cheese and yogurt. Will someone please get me a £200 gift certificate from here so I can go wild? Reigning proud in Manchester since the 70's and now PERFECT! Went to the cafe for MY FIRST TIME TODAY. I am in love!

Zafrani is a popular restaurant known for its generous portions and delicious food. Customers have praised the manager for delivering orders on time with a smile, and some even received complimentary large portions of Bhajis. The staff is described as helpful and polite, providing excellent service. Many have enjoyed the hot and tasty food, with one customer calling it "amazing." The venue is said to be clean, and the portions are considered generous by many patrons.
The food that I had received from the takeaway was very delicious . I took the food into my workplace the following day to share with my work colleagues. All of my work colleagues really enjoyed it and said they will definitely go to the takeaway again. The lamb curry was full of flavour with a lemon kick to it and the rice was nice and fluffy. Thank you to all the team for their effort in making my meal enjoyable .
Meherun K — Google review
Honestly surprised this place has such good reviews. The food was awful. Korma tasted like warm curdled water, rice was chewy, chicken dryer than a sandy flip flop. And the butter chicken wasn’t even remotely like any butter chicken I’ve had before. Again dry chicken and weird flavourless source with a hint of peanuts which is all we could taste. Will avoid in future.
James J — Google review
Should have known how bad it would be when it was ready so fast. Chips were limp and soggy. Rice that was meant to be plain tasted like the mothballs my nan used to put in her nicker drawer.. and the 'chilli massala' was just a far too sweet massala (that tasted like it had been defrosted) with a handful of fresh chilli's thrown in. Never again will I waste money here.
S H — Google review
Really disappointed and unable to get hold of the shop now but had a Indian here and wouldn’t return chickens dry and barley hot no flavour to the curry’s we had highly wouldn’t recommend what a waste of money Reply for the restaurant - we did not get this delivered we collected from your store and you closed your store when we arrived back home so therefore have been unable to contact you regarding this . Working with food you should be probing and making sure all food stuffs is to the correct legal cooking temperatures I would ensure you make sure this process is followed correctly .

Ordered chicken tikka madras pillar rice and a garlic naan. chicken was dry and over cooked 1 piece tasted like rubber , the pillar rice was actually just plain rice with a few colored bits thrown in, no flavour at all , and the nan garlic naan had hardly any garlic on there , the actual madras sauce was very tasty.

We’ve just moved from London and Zafrani was one of the first takeaways we’ve had. Their lamb briyani is one of the best I’ve had, so incredibly tender!! Amazing food, generous portions and they very kindly threw in complimentary onion bhajis and papadoms. Will be one of our go to’s from now on!

Decided to get this as it had won a recent award. It didn't stand out for me. It wasn't bad, just a standard Indian takeaway. Food was nice enough, the onion bhajis were bad but the naan bread was delicious.

This old-street-tiled chippy is a local favourite, with queues out of the door regularly. The food here is done very well and is a perfect traditional fish 'n' chips experience. It's low key, nothing fancy but really friendly people make it a great place to visit when in Manchester City Centre.
First time in the UK and first stop was Manchester. As soon as I landed here, looked up for the iconic fish and chips and it didn’t disappoint. The fish was crispy and the vinegar added a nice complexity to the fish. Do go out to grab yourself a bite😁

The haddock was fried to perfection! The batter was so crunchy and not too thick. The chips and cod were satisfying too. Definitely an unexpected gem with such great value! The owners were also such sweet people - generous with the tartare sauce too!!

Our first time eating fish and chips, it was exactly as I expected. The fish was very soft and the touch of the vinegar was great, next time I would add even more. Lovely place, and very gentle service.
Nòvikov S — Google review
The fish was crispy on the outside, juicy and fleshy on the inside. Generous serving with chips. The ketchup and tartar sauce came with the set. A real traditional English fish n chips.
Shery S — Google review
Great quality fish. Uses proper British fish and not the gross sloppy pangasius or basa other cheap places have resorted to. Curry sauce comes in two "heats", I went spicy and it was delicious. Chips are proper chips. Great option of a small fish dinner for £7 which in today's prices is decent because they don't scrimp on the amount of food you get.
Andrew C — Google review
Really good, went for the “Chinese curry”sauce over English curry sauce which after asking for clarification is supposedly the spicier of the two but to me just tasted like normal curry sauce and was delicious!

Made the choice to eat here due to the reviews ... all I can do is agree! Great fish & chips. Friendly and helpfull staff. Will eat here again when in Manchester
Irene H — Google review
No frills good typical fish & chips place. Both the cod & haddock tasted good; not fishy taste, crispy coating. Generous portion of chips (only 2 quid) for a regular size. Mushy peas taste good. What I like is it’s not greasy and tasted fresh. Value for money.

Rosa's Thai Manchester is a branch of the popular Rosa's Thai Cafe, which opened in a stunning Grade II listed building on Deansgate just before the 2020 lockdown. The founder, Saiphin, hails from Northern Thailand and is dedicated to serving authentic Thai cuisine in a casual setting. The menu features bold dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, including signature drunken noodles and unique twists on classic plates like Thai calamari and pineapple curry.
Popped in for a quick lunch. Fixed price £15 menu had three dishes to choose from for starter, main and accompaniment. Plus a free soda! Nice veggie option of corn fritters, rice noodle with tofu and egg, and stir fry broccoli. There was also a vegan option. In and out within an hour.

This was a nice, spur of the moment find. Great, authentic Thai cuisine. Very friendly and hard working staff. Food was delicious and satisfying. I had the vegetable spring rolls, and the chicken Pad Thai. The chicken was halal. I highly recommend.

Excellent service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food just missed the mark having previously tried Rosa’s Thai Leeds. The spring rolls were leaking oil and the fried rice was very dry.

Amazing and authentic Thai food with wonderful staff. Highly recommend the laab, Tom yum and namtok. Great selection of both classic and westernised dishes and great drinks. Tend to only go to indie Thais but the story behind Rosas is amazing and it’s the best food I’ve had outside of BKK
Ellen T — Google review
It is definitely on the pricier side but the portions are decent. I ordered the king prawn pad thai and really enjoyed it. It was flavoursome and not too sweet, portion was generous too. It would have been a bonus if it was on the lunch menu too as it’s on the pricer side for what it is.
Kirst L — Google review
I met here with a friend. I didn't realise it was a chain but more than happy to try. We both opted for a mixed veggie starter although they did ask if we could swap the veggie spring rolls with meat as they were out. We both said it was fine as we are not vegetarian. The sweetcorn fritters and crackers were okay. For mains we shared a duck pineapple curry and beef massaman. The sticky rice was delightful and the meat very tender but felt like there was not a lot of it? Flavours of the sauce were good? Overall it was an okay meal, nothing bad or exceptional

Ordered for delivery, got corn cakes to start which were so delicious best I have had. The sweet chilli dip that came with them was amazing with lots of nuts in it. We ordered 2 mains, Pad Kraprow and Pad Thai - both with tofu. The Pad Kraprow was really flavourful with lots of veg packed in, and lots of tofu. The Pad Thai portion was large and cooked really well, very nutty and umami. Would recommend!

We visited Thai Spice early evening on a Saturday as a walk in and the restaurant was already fairly busy but we were seated in no time. Super friendly front of house and the kitchen staff should be proud of their menu. Nando's Manchester - Oxford Road is a popular Afro-Portuguese restaurant known for its flame-grilled chicken in spicy chilli sauce. The signature sauce, originating from Portuguese settlers in Africa, features birds eye chilli, garlic, red wine vinegar, and paprika. The lively and inviting atmosphere makes it a great spot for casual dining with friends or family. The menu offers a variety of options from mild to extra hot, ensuring there's something for everyone.
One of the British chains by excellence, the staff was welcoming and friendly, they explained perfectly the order system and the options, the food was excellently prepared and the chicken didn't disappoint, without a doubt an excellent option for tourists and lovers of a good chicken meal, recommended for anyone visiting the area.
Gruñon G — Google review
Terrible Experience with Undercooked Chicken and Stale Fries I had a really bad experience at the Nando’s on Manchester - Oxford Road. The chicken I was served didn’t look fully cooked, and the fries were clearly made in old oil—they tasted awful and left me feeling let down. I reached out to customer service and sent them a photo of my meal. They responded quickly, which I appreciate, but the email came across as dismissive. They said their records showed everything was cooked properly and that the chicken looked fine in the picture. But as someone who eats at Nando’s regularly, I know what properly cooked chicken should look and taste like, and this wasn’t it. They did acknowledge that the fries weren’t up to standard and said they’d share the feedback with the team, but it felt more like a formality than a genuine apology. I’ve always loved Nando’s, but this experience has put me off. I hope they take these issues more seriously in the future because right now, I’m not sure if I’ll be rushing back anytime soon.

Absolutely disappointed with my recent visit to this Nando's and I've been coming here since my college and uni days. There were 8 of us dining. I placed my order first, along with my nephew. Then the rest of the group made their own orders. My starters arrived, followed by my nephew's meal, and then the remaining six all began receiving their food. 45 minutes passed and I still hadn't received my main meal. I asked the waitress several times and was told that food is only brought out once the whole table has ordered, which clearly wasn't true, as others in the group got their food well before me. Eventually, everyone had been served except me. I raised this again, but it was completely ignored. When my food finally arrived, everyone else had already finished eating, and to make matters worse, my order was wrong. At that point, l'd lost my appetite. No manager came to speak to me, no apology, no offer to resolve the issue or make up for it, absolutely nothing. This was genuinely the worst experience l've ever had at a Nando's. If I could give zero stars, I would

"I Knead Pizza" is a no-frills pizza place located in Reddish, offering delivery in Manchester and catering for special events. The pizzeria has gained popularity for consistently serving up satisfying pizzas, with the Gladiator pizza being a standout choice featuring a hot Harissa base and extra fresh chillies. Founded in 2015 by Paul, the business started at Stockport Market before expanding to its current location.
I knead pizza catered our wedding in November - not only were the pizzas absolutely delicious but the communication and service was fantastic. Would 100% recommend for any one considering a less traditional wedding or other event. The guests absolutely loved the food and the informal serving style and a lot of them have been back since for more! Five stars - thanks again!

The Burbs in Heaton Chapel has now become I Knead Pizza. I’d been to The Burbs a couple of times and really enjoyed it, and it’s now changed to focus solely on the pizza. I got the A Taste of Honey pizza with tomato, mozzarella, Napoli salami, pepperoni picante & a drizzle of honey, some truffle & Parmesan fries and some hot honey and garlic mayo for drizzling and dunking. The pizza here is really tasty and it’s a very cosy atmosphere with friendly staff. A really great option for a relaxed, casual meal.
Holly D — Google review
Had my first I knead Pizza experience last night and I have to say it was very good. My first time trying this pizza spot and first time trying a Neapolian style Pizza. We ordered a jerk barbecue pizza, a margarita pizza, a garlic and cheese pizza and a biscoff cheesecake. To start with the barbecue pepperoni pizza was the star of the show. Unbelievable flavours throughout with the sweet barbecue sauce with a delighful kick of spice. Nice meat and the green peppers complimented perfectly. Possibly tasting pizza I've ever tried! The Cheese pizza was very nice. A light sweet tomato base and a lovely flavourful salty mozzarella taste. The garlic bread was pretty good too. Overall 3 very nice pizzas. 3 clean light guilt free pizzas not swimming in oil and excess calories. The biscoff cheesecake was apparently very nice aswell but the missus scoffed it all so I'm going off her word! My only slight critique is with the pizzas essentially being like 40% Crust I think they would benefit from being accompanied with some sort of dip like a garlic or sour cream. Also when you're spending £35+ on food a complimentary drink bottle would be nice even if its just a 1.25L Pepsi or similar. I have to say despite the delicious flavours I was still hungry after 9 slices (3 of each) although it was nice to not be completely bloated after the meal. Would I come back? Yes... but only for the Jerk pizza or something with more toppings for value for money. 8/10
Dean Y — Google review
Every time I've ordered online they've not realised; first time I went in and they clearly hadn't started making the pizza, next few times I've just called ahead and prompted them to start. You'll get an email the next day telling you your pizza is ready 😂 This sort of pizza doesn't travel well, which is a shame because it looks like it's made well. Generally I get the impression the attached restaurant (the burbs) is probably a better experience than the takeout.

Thank you will be back.

You can savor delightful dishes like jackfruit chili with rice or dig into a classic vegan burger paired with crispy fries—perfect for a cheat day treat!
Stopped here for breakfast/brunch, hands down the best vegan breakfast we've ever had and we've been vegan for 6 years! We had the Full Breakfast and Vertigo Benedict, we were blown away! Both were absolutely delicious and fab portion sizes too. Lovely drinks too, especially the red velvet matcha would highly recommend. Staff were kind, friendly and very welcoming, you really have to try whilst your in Manchester, whether your vegan or not! They also played great 80s bangers so we were in our element, and it wasn't too loud either so we hear each other talk perfectly. Definitely will visit again when we're in Manchester again.

Lovely food and staff. Everything was super tasty, and the satay skewers were almost indistinguishable from chicken. My favourite thing was the bao buns. Will come back (really want to try the breakfast)

Vegan review: Wanted to eat here for ages after seeing the stall at Manchester’s vegan Christmas markets. I had the mac and ‘cheese’ to start which was so filling. And the chilli for main plus the passion shoot smoothie. Tried a bite of the rocky road cake - my friends all loved it. Love fully vegan eateries, I’ll be back!

Amazing food! Lovely staff, good price/quality And as soon as you stand outside the restaurant the smell of food seduces you! The pancakes are from another world! Just one little thing, because of the main door not being closed properly it can get a little bit cold inside. 100% Recommended!

Cute little vegan spot in Manchester! Limited seating but they do have wifi and daily treats. Tried the cheezburger which was great, although the brioche bun was cold. The lemon blueberry cake was very good as well. Would recommend checking this place out. They even have an evening pre-theatre special.

My second time visiting Vertigo, the first time was at the Media City, Salford Quays branch. It is a much smaller establishment than the one at Media City, and on last visits in Manchester, I have struggled to get in the door! Lucky, a quiet, early, damp Manchester Sunday, I managed to miss the crowds! Sunday Brunch Day! I ordered a coffee and the full Vertigo breakfast. Sausage, home made beans, ‘scrambled’ tofu, grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash browns, and a sourdough toast. Firstly, the coffee was one of the best I have ever had in Manchester. It was truly an excellent thing. Rich and flavoursome. Full marks. It is worth popping in just for a takeaway. In honesty, the breakfast was mildly behind that at Salford. Unseasoned, the tofu was a bit of a let down. The plate was very cold, which meant the breakfast brunch was soon cold too. Neither here nor Salford give you any spread for the dry sourdough toast. It’s a but dry on its own. It’s a personal thing, but I’d much prefer some granary over the sourdough. I just felt the Salford breakfast was generally ahead on all counts. Not by a lot, it is still excellent. But still. Service was excellent. Pleasant, friendly, polite and prompt. The biggest issue here is trying to get in! Excellent all round. Despite my nit picking!

Amazing vegan food!! Come here if you're in Manchester, the food is so good, freshly made and great value for money. 1 small plate, 1 large plate and a drink all for £17 - big portion sizes too! Wish we had longer in Manchester to come and try their breakfast and lunch too!
Nicole L — Google review
Extremely warm inside. Lady at counter was quite pushy when I came in, it was my first time so I just wanted to look around; at the board, menu, the sandwiches, pastries, veggies.. She kept asking if it was for eat in or takeaway, when I mumbled 'eat in' (still looking around because everything looks so good) she said I can sit down and she'll bring the menu. When I sat down it took ages for someone to bring a menu. Nevertheless the menu options are great and food very tasty.

Archie's in Manchester Piccadilly is a popular dining spot known for its delicious food and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant offers a range of unique and tasty options, including burger combos with colorful buns, fries, fried chicken, and an extensive selection of desserts and milkshakes. The retro pink-and-white interiors provide a cool American diner experience with a slick Instagram-friendly form.
Best ever wrap, burger and fries with the money spend. Loved the peri peri wrap, route 66 burger and cheesy fries. The putty was very soft and tasty. And sauce of the wrap was delicious. Haven't tried the waffles though but definitely coming back for them !

The burgers were very nice, chips average, wings and tenders below par. Milkshake was ok but not great. We were a family of 4 and ate for just over £60 so food is priced well.

Archie’s on Oxford Road is a fun and colourful spot with a playful vibe. I ordered the chicken wrap and a cookies and cream shake, and both were really good. The wrap was fresh and full of flavour, and the shake was thick and satisfying. They also have a self-order machine, which makes it easy to customise your meal before paying at the counter. The staff were friendly and the service was smooth, making it a nice quick stop for a tasty meal.

polished version of your review while keeping it natural and engaging: ⸻ Great Food & Clean Environment – Highly Recommended! I had a great experience at Aljazeera Food in Manchester (Curry Mile). • Food quality is excellent. • Staff are very friendly and welcoming. • Most importantly, the place is clean, which is a big plus! The chicken was cooked with a delicious blended sauce, full of flavor. The Qabili rice was simply yummy—highly recommended! A must-visit spot for good food in Manchester! ⸻

I don't know who are these people rating it 3 or 4 stars .it doesn't deserve one .their service is disgusting. My friend took me there today and she wanted to sit upstairs. You guys see pics and tell me. It was around one and they served us pre cooked food .its wasn't fresh at all .chicken was so dry and mainly was bones. Staff was horrible. hygiene is so questionable. She served us food wearing cleaning gloves .They have rotten vegetable basket on the drink counter while customers were sitting there . Their cleaning products were next to drinking cooler and food containers . she was cleaning while we were eating .I was about to ask her stop spraying because we eating, but a colleague saw her and stopped. She hold mop from same gloves and brought us food wearing same gloves . She brought source dish ,source dripping out of it and she hold with same glove .I felt disgusting 🤮 by their behavior and food . Brunt food , dirty knife . I will not recommend anyone. One of the best and tastiest food spots in the UK! We tried the Kabuli Pulao and grilled chicken – the flavours were out of this world. The meat was so tender, and the rice was packed with flavour. We absolutely loved it. An Egyptian lady served us (wish I remembered her name!) – her service was absolutely amazing. Honestly, I really hope this place goes far.

Always fantastic food and service. Lots of choice. We had kobeda , rice, bread, chicken tikka and ate in. Food made fresh to order and provided with lots of fresh salad and accompanying dips, spicy tomato and yoghurt. Delicious. Very clean with hand washing facilities. Good value for money. On road parking or there are paid carparks around. Ground level so accessible. Helpful, friendly staff. You can eat in, takeaway or order from a delivery place. My go-to restaurant when I'm in Rusholme.

ZERO stars if I could. We went to Al Jazeera in Rusholme on Saturday 28th September and it was a complete disaster. We ordered four fish meals, three with rice and one with chips. The whole place was loud and chaotic, and the staff were totally unprofessional. Some of them couldn’t even speak basic English which made the whole experience worse. One of us has allergies so we asked if the rice was safe. The waiter didn’t have a clue, went to check, and came back saying there was nothing in it. When the food arrived the rice was full of extra ingredients. We asked again and he just said “sorry my English is bad” and called another guy over. That person was rude, dismissive, and instead of apologising he said “that’s what we serve” and took the plate away. No replacement, no care, nothing. Honestly it felt unsafe. The menu itself was poor with hardly any clear information on it, which makes it even more risky if you have allergies or dietary needs. Ordering drinks was another joke. Nobody even bothered to ask us. We had to go up ourselves and ended up with cheap, awful cola you’d expect from a corner shop. The food looked sloppy, the presentation was embarrassing. I’ve eaten in all sorts of restaurants and this was by far one of the worst. Unsafe food handling, rude staff, poor menu, bad drinks, and no care at all for customers. This place honestly deserves to be properly reviewed by the relevant professional department because the standards are shocking. Save your money and avoid Al Jazeera completely.

Bundobust Brewery is a popular addition to Manchester's dining scene, offering Indian-style vegetarian small plates at its two locations in the city. The menu features a variety of dishes such as okra fries, vada pav, chaat, chole saag, tarka dal, and bhaji butty served alongside craft beers from its own brewery on Oxford Road.
Can't fault this place. First visit. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, they were a credit to the business. I hadn't realised on booking this was all vegetarian/vegan food, no matter it was all fantastic, fresh tasting, filling, all in all delicious. I wasn't disappointed with the okra fries either. There's a decent selection of different beers, craft ales etc... I would go back in a heartbeat.

Really good experience, highly recommend the combo platter for two. Quality food, outstanding lot colourful displays on a plate just like India, with a gorgeous blend of flavours that are well balanced but not overpowering. Chai is well prepared as well! To improve: clean your tables properly! First customers of the day and the tables are oily and sticky. It’s a bit of effort and a basic necessity!
Rohit — Google review
Dinner at Bundobust was an explosion of colors, textures, and bold flavors – the perfect kind of chaos that Indian street food is meant to be. • Vada Pav (top right): The undisputed street-food king. A fluffy fried potato patty hugged by a crisp coating, paired with a tangy chutney that had just the right kick. Comfort food at its best, though I could’ve used a touch more heat. • Okra Fries (bottom right): A standout! Crisp, spiced, and addictive – the batter was light enough not to overpower the vegetable, making it dangerously easy to keep reaching for more. • Chole (chickpea curry, middle right): Warming and hearty, with soft chickpeas swimming in a spiced tomato-onion gravy. Paired with puri, it gave that satisfying homestyle feel, like a proper North Indian comfort dish. • Bhel Puri (bottom left): Fresh, tangy, and crunchy – puffed rice, sev, pomegranate, coriander, all bound together with chutneys. A true palate cleanser among the heavier dishes. • Ragda Pattice (top left): Potato cake on a bed of white pea curry, topped with sev and chutney. Creamy, spicy, and textural – this one hits all the notes of classic Indian chaat. • Cabbage & Kale Sambharo (middle): Surprisingly refreshing – a stir-fried cabbage and kale mix with mustard seeds and carrot. A lighter side dish that cut through the richness of everything else. ✨ Highlights: Okra fries and Ragda Pattice stole the show. ⚖️ Balance: Some dishes leaned comfort-heavy, so the sambharo and bhel were welcome contrasts. 🍺 Pairing: Craft beer alongside the feast worked brilliantly, cutting through the spice and crunch. Overall, Bundobust continues to nail that concept of vegetarian Indian street food with a modern twist – vibrant, shareable, and full of character. Perfect for grazing with friends.

We visit Bundobust every time we are in Manchester and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic, the delicious beer brewed in house and the cocktail all have an Indian inspired twist. Can't wait to come back! ❤️

Awesome collection of Mumbai street food tapas. Ambience is very energetic with large barrels of beer brewing. The onion Bhajji was quite under cooked..

Another visit to Bundobust Brewery, another absolute banger of a meal. It's just the perfect place to go for a quick bite or for a more leisurely catch up with friends. Every single member of staff is a delight and, as a veggie, it's a total treat to be able to choose from the entire menu. The beer selection is top notch too, with special mention for their Black Lager which I understand is only available for a limited period each year. Also worth trying some of the Oktoberfest specials on the food menu if you can. Can't recommend highly enough, definitely not somewhere you only visit once!
Jenni W — Google review
Had the tastiest combo for two and some yummy beer at the Bundobust brewery. Soooo much food we were stuffed and couldn't finish, but really really wanted to because everything is so good. Had a lovely chat with the brewer about the 400th brewery celebration - Charso400 a juicy little 8% number that dangerously quaffable. Limited so get yours while you can to avoid so serious FOMO.

Chicken restaurant
South Manny Flavaz, established in 2017, has transformed from a simple garden cook-off into a culinary sensation that now boasts its own location on Deansgate. Originally gaining traction in Longsight and through social media platforms like Snapchat, this vibrant eatery has captured the hearts of food lovers across Manchester. With an impressive seven-year journey under their belt, they serve up some of the most delectable fried chicken around—crispy on the outside and juicy within.
The chicken and chips are quite a huge portion. The chicken is very flavorful and crispy. The Louisiana hot wings are a must try. Crispy and saucy, you have to get in there with your hands! Definitely worth multiple repeat visits.
Sayed K — Google review
For the price of the food you expect better but their is a huge lack of care in the food. Wings and chicken in the burger came out cold! This is after waiting a bit (not long) for the food so you atleast expect it to come out hot and fresh. Chicken tasted dry and some bits of the chicken and salad was hard to chew. On top of that advertised was a spicy burger. If you're a place like that I expect the coating to be spicy. Not just dumped in some cheap hot sauce which it was. Same as the wings. The frustration is you expect this kind of food at cheap chains but not a independent and with the kind of prices you are paying.
Kunal H — Google review
Absolutely a shambles of a place. They catfish people on Instagram with the way their food looks but once you're there it's utterly appalling. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked 2 days prior and tasted as dry as a lady who's not into you. Don't go, save your money!

Guests rave about the mixed starter, which offers an explosion of flavors that awaken the palate.
I came here for the first time after driving past for years, and it was really nice. I ordered an omelette paratha wrap which was really nice, nice and soft flakey texture, and a nicely seasoned omelette. I ordered a pistachio kunaffa cookie which was 10/10, a very generous sized cookie, crumbly on the outside and soft on the inside, the cookie was generously stuffed with kunaffa which wasn’t overly sweet with the pistachio paste. Overall well worth it, nice home style cooking and atmosphere. Super friendly staff and good service. 5 star hygiene which is a bonus 👍🏽 will definitely be back.

We had a terrible experience at Shazias today. We ordered paye with naan. We couldn’t eat a bite after discovering it had lots of hair in the curry. My husband spoke to Shazia and all she said was that she will speak to the chef. She clearly stated she will not refund which we didn’t even ask for!! Alternatively, We had to order prathas. While we were sat there eating (paid 0.50PP to eat in) she told her worker to start cleaning the table. As she noticed I was taking pictures of the paye. Overpriced and tasteless food!! Came to Bury for two days and we came Across Shazia’s street food. We had the traditional breakfast- Parantha and spicy egg with a cup of chai. It was simply the best crispy Parantha I have had in a long time. The egg was spot on with the spices and the Tea is better than any chain establishments I have had. Last night we tried the lamb biryani and it did not disappoint, it was simply delicious. This morning we came here again and added the cutlet to our order (scotch egg) it was lovely. A few months I gave 4 stars. Now after having eaten here multiple times I'm changing to 5. I'm a big burrito fan, and these are the second best I've ever had (the best was in Boojum, Belfast). I love that they don't charge you extra for salad fillings. If you ask for everything, they happily cram every salad item they have into your burrito. Brilliant! The quality is fantastic, and setting nice, and the whole thing is run by a nice family who deserve your support!

Triple B, formerly known as Eat New York, is a culinary gem that brings the essence of New York-style cuisine to Manchester. This vibrant eatery specializes in hearty bagels loaded with classic toppings like pastrami and salt beef, creating a delightful experience for your taste buds. But that's not all; their menu also features juicy burgers adorned with mouthwatering ingredients such as melted American cheese and buffalo chicken.
Tried a salt beef bagel, it was really good. Large portions and good sauces. Just wasn’t a fan of the chicken “rips” because it was chicken thigh instead of breast, but the breading on it was nice. Would definitely go again and try the pastrami and truffle fries. It was halal

Delicious Salt beef! Wow, just finished eating my French Dip Sandwich and Eat New York fries and I am extremely impressed. Incredibly tasty food. We collected our order and drove to a car park nearby to eat our food because we simply couldn't wait. The French Dip sandwich was stuffed to the brim with roast beef and the dip itself was lovely. Fries were nice and crispy and had loads of toppings. My brother had the Eat New York Bagel and he said it was spectacular. This has been our first visit here, but we hope to come back soon. We've both had to come home and have a lie down now and I've had to put my jeans in the wash because they are covered in mustard, but by God was it worth it!

My recent visit to Tripple B ( wich was my second) was a disappointment, sadly, comparing to my first one. Yes, the staff was supper friendly and lovely and was a quick service. But to have a lady working with food without an hairnet and an apron it doesn't really look the best and so a dirty and messy kitchen. We proceed to order our food anyway and we ordered a buffalo burger and a trippeb house burger with crispy onions, (and I hate to say this, because they're usually pretty good) but the buffalo chicken burger was honestly the most horrible burger I've ever tasted in my life, the buffalo sauce tasted really weird and they put so much of it, that the bread just went all soggy, plus the chicken wasn't very nice. Mine one wasn't as bad, but for some reason had a strange smell and the lettuce tasted odd. The only good thing was the fries, wich they cook immediately so that was alright. I paid over25£ for 2burguers 2little cans of heineken and the skin on fries. Not really worth the visit this time and a waste of money as we were expecting the quality we were given last time, besides they no longer do the 2for1 burgers anymore :(
Ana G — Google review
Tried the salted beef and grill melt bagels. Both tasted very similar but one just had cheese on it. I enjoyed the grill melt, felt like it had more going on than the standard salted beef bagel. Bagel wasn't too heavy so is great for a quick lunch. Also, portion sizes are decent, they don't skimp on the meat. Also tried the angel fries which were very nice, it had a good underlying taste to the fries from the truffle oil. A good spot if you fancy a bagel and their menu also has burgers and subs which I will be back for to try.

Ordered 21/01/2022 via Uber eats (dropped star off rating due to additional £2.99 service fee AND £3+ delivery fee) The food was good, Pastrami is tasty (I’d recommend without the Saurkraut), the French fries are nice and we’re buy one get one free offer, however they are heavily priced even after discount for what they are. Family said the buffalo chicken burger was very tasty. Other family member (burger connoisseur) rated the triple B cheeseburger as ok. Overall pricey in comparison to competitors, worth trying as something new hence 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wasim M — Google review
Great place full of life and beautiful colours. The food is second to none especially the good quality pastrami and very chewy fresh bagels. I would highly recommend Reuben sandwich as it was to die for served in sesame bagel and packed with meat. The French Dip is loaded with thinly sliced beef roast, some good mustard and gravy jus on a side. Ask for no cheese as the cheese ruins it for me personally, there is no cheese in the original french dip. Btw french dip is only served on Sundays so get it while you can. Service although with few mix ups was great they took all of our comments on board and they are absolutely lovely people

Chicken wings restaurant
KFC is a well-known restaurant chain that specializes in serving delicious buckets of fried chicken, along with a variety of combo meals and sides to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, KFC offers a casual atmosphere where you can enjoy their iconic dishes. While the seating area may be limited, the friendly staff ensures that your experience remains pleasant and enjoyable. Perfect for those looking for a quick meal on-the-go or a laid-back dining option!
The store was really busy at the time and I was in a rush. I think it was Emma who served me. She was so kind and quick even though I could tell there were so many orders to take. Will definitely be returning!
Chloe K — Google review
I am absolutely outraged by the disgusting excuse for a meal I was served today. Waiting 20 minutes for a tiny meal was bad enough, but to receive a burnt, inedible, sloppy mess is beyond unacceptable. This was, without question, the worst dining experience of my life, and I am disgusted that KFC would dare serve something this vile. The sheer incompetence on display is shameful, and I will make sure everyone knows to avoid this location at all costs. An absolute disgrace. I expect this to be addressed immediately.
Assariah B — Google review
I got x2 chicken box meals from here this evening, I ordered it to take out at just after 9pm, we left the store to find we had less then half a bag of chips each basically no chips in the bag. Dried up thick chicken Security is rude and intimidating some on you KFC I should have read the reviews first I definitely won’t be coming back
Ayshea R — Google review
It's a typical KFC On my visit it was busy but staff were friendly and helpful It was clean Only criticism is that the seating area is very small and can probably only seat 10 to 14 people in total.
Mark W — Google review
We got 2 of the 60 piece popcorn chicken buckets. What a scrumptious delight they were with our selection of personally sourced dips. As a fun side quest we decided to count each of our buckets to see whose was closer to 60. I was left slightly surprised at mine only having a subpar 55 ... But the worst was yet to come. I was DISGUSTED, APPALLED and HEARTBROKEN to find the other bucket had a measly 45 out of the advertised 60! They were very tasty and filled us up though so 2 stars still :)
Peter W — Google review
Terrible service trying to claim a student offer with the code, then pay. I asked her how to claim the discount, which she said to order and come to her, which I did. But after that, she just said "You paid" and left so I couldn't claim the code anymore. The least helpful service ever. I wouldn't want to dine anywhere with an employee like that.
Yoon B — Google review
Of course they forgot the chips. Classic. Tried calling — guess they’re too busy to care. Friendly reminder: double-check your food before you walk out the door!
E M — Google review
All 2 kiosk was too busy, went to front counter to order. Been told they are not allowed to take order from the till. Why you have till there then and why card machine is next to it ? I wasn't able to place my food order. I understand like everyone you have your bonuses and working on kiosk usage but if this cost you zero sales and upset customers, good luck 👍

Nestled in the heart of Manchester, Nell's Pizza is a delightful haven for pizza lovers, serving up authentic New York-style thin-crust slices and pies in a relaxed atmosphere adorned with quirky decor. This newly established eatery invites guests to indulge in their bottomless pizza Sundays, where you can savor an array of delicious vegan options like mushroom and vegan Nduja. To top off your meal, don't miss out on their scrumptious vegan ice cream sandwiches!
Great pizza, great deals and great drinks! This NQ branch is more peaceful and calmer compared to the kampus branch so would suggest you choose the branch you prefer based on the atmosphere as the Kampus one is much louder but with more vibes. We went for the 7.77 deal which was great and we got so hooked we ordered 3 pizzas for just two people as the toppings were so enticing. The pizzas were cooked perfectly and the toppings were generous, no worries if you get too full as you can get a box to take them back. Would definitely go to Nell’s again and it’s clear they’re a reputable and crucial spot in Manchester for pizzas or just drinks.
G — Google review
We were after somewhere to have a slice of pizza rather than a whole one as not too hungry. We loved the ‘Roni Honey? But the plain marg was a bit dry and bland - needed more sauce and cheese if you ask me 👀 would come back though, would love to see more of the topping choices offered as slices!
Tom R — Google review
I have to give this 5 stars. The pizzas were delicious with crispy base. The staff were friendly and boxed up my leftover pizza 🍕 with a smile. They were chatty and friendly. The air con is spot on in the hot weather and music is good, although a little loud. I would recommend the lunch time special which is available during the week. ***** to the original sausage material amazing!
Sue M — Google review
Went with a group of 4 and it was my first time at Nells, I went in expecting not to be able to eat a full 14 inch pizza, and yet, I absolutely did because it was so damn good. I had the corn supremacy and I’ve never had a pizza like it, it was so crispy and delicious! I swear I could eat a bucket of that miso corn. All 4 of us had clean plates at the end - will definitely be coming back! 🍕
Aoife L — Google review
So where to start. Clearly a “trendy place” and if like me you’re now past middle age and wanting a quiet meal, on your own, this is possibly not the place. Why? Well I sat and listened to a young Canadian lady chat to her two mates about how many “boys” they’d recently knocked back, and worse, those they hadn’t! In short privacy whilst eating is not happening so bear this in mind especially if visiting for a family or couples meal! As for the service, really friendly but somewhat confused, my starter (salad) ended up on another table whilst theirs (olives) ended up with me, sorted fairly quickly and apologies from the chap serving. The salad was a good size and had great flavour. For the pizza I ordered the sausage, it came out piping hot and it was a really good size (I struggled) but sadly without the dipping sauce, or my drink, again query raised and resolved quickly and again apologies offered. The pizza to me was less New York style and more European ski resort, don’t get me wrong it was good, but it’s not as crispy as a NY pizza but still had a decent flavour just possibly a little greasy. Overall a reasonable experience, not overly cheap at £30 for a pizza, side salad and a pint but I enjoyed it nonetheless (next time I just need to remember air pods or ear plugs!)

Third time I've been to Nells. Best pizza I've probably ever had. Crispy bottom done perfectly. Had a honey pepperoni and miso sweet corn pizza. Decent prices and good service. Wish they would open in London.

I'm from New York and I'm so impressed with Nell's!! My husband and I shared two pies (which were about £8 each on a weekday afternoon, amazing) and it's the first pizza I've had in the UK that's tasted like home. It's going to be a mandatory stop for me whenever I'm in Manchester!

just two girls who ordered a 22” half and half without realising how big a 22” pizza actually is 🤣 but it was so good and we ended up taking home 2 slices each! we also got the ice cream sandwich but i think you can skip that and just stick to the pizza 🍕

Nestled in Manchester's vibrant Northern Quarter, Alvarium is a charming neighborhood gastropub that celebrates the art of plant-based dining. With its garden-themed ambiance, this venue has become a go-to spot for those seeking delicious vegan options. The menu features delightful dishes like beetroot orzo and roasted Jerusalem artichokes, perfect for anyone looking to indulge in a hearty vegan feast. For dessert lovers, the chocolate orange torte with miso caramel sauce is an absolute must-try.
Stick with the tapas style starters. Much better value than the mains. Grab a few of those! Drink prices what you expect from the northern quarter. Service average, but friendly. Nice building. Clean toilets. Recommended.

Very friendly and welcoming waiting staff. The atmosphere is great for a cosy snack and a few drinks with friends. The chilli nachos are awesome, I will return, however it drops a star as food took a little too long to arrive even though the place wasn't packed.

Great place awesome food amazing staff. The decor is so inviting. Congrats to the person designing the cocktail menu it's great. And the food... sooo delicious. I do thing the portion size of the sides is quite big for 3.5 pounds and the size of the plates is a bit too small. But taste and presentation wise the food was awesome. I love that you have Bulgarian wine - something different. Will be back ASAP!

Newer 2nd review: The tall guy with the beard and the girl are nice and pleasant to talk to. I like this place but for feedback I'd like to ask if they can get some more cheaper dry white wines. Their current pinot is over £8 for a 175ml glass. Also we tried the tapas for the first time and overall they tasted good but felt a bit expensive for the quantity and what they were. For example the salad cost £6 and there were few salad leaves. The roasted almonds were wet with oil and felt strange but good filler along with olives. Older Review: Lovely pleasant staff and relaxed place to have a pint. Cant wait for them to start serving some food.

It’s a damn shame that our experience at this bar was ruined by a poor execution of customer service left such a bad taste in the mouth that we will not return... I understand that offers and coupon alway have an element of small print but when an pre paid coupon offer leaves you paying more than a walk in customer due to poor communication from the the staff its hard not to be annoyed... despite us telling staff at the onset we had a voucher we were not told that even when we spent past the total of the voucher we would still not get certain discounts that we would get if we just stopped ordering drinks half way through our visit stepped out the door and stepped back in as a new customer. We were told that they had to spend advertising money to try company we got our voucher from which is why we paid more than a walk in customer even after our discount... and what made it worse was the bar man telling us it was 2 for 1 on cocktails even after knowing we had a voucher that excluded us from that deal even when we were beyond that voucher and spending our money.
J M — Google review
Wasn't quite what I expected, but still really enjoyed it. Seems I didn't read enough food reviews and didn't quite grasp this was a vegan/veggie only place (there are pics of meat in previous reviews!). So I pop in for some Sunday lunch last week and they say there is a new Sunday lunch set menu. Great I think... but there is only 3 dishes on the menu, one for each course, all veggie but sound interesting so I think OK let's do this (really could have done with a little more choice, what if you hate one of the key ingredients?). I'm not vegetarian but I enjoy all types of food, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the whole lot. Tomato soup for starters was tasty and accompanied by nice fresh bread, beatroot en croute with many nice sides (heritage carrots, red wine lentils, gravy etc) was all very good too, finally managed to also fit in rice pudding and roasted Plum jam - creamily coconutty, just a tad too sweet. Special mention to the delicious gin cocktail I had at the same time! The ambiance of the place is cosy and laid back and the staff were really nice and friendly. So I would definately come back here for drinks, and bring a veggie friend out for dinner, but definately not one for the devout carnivores.

Excellent Cocktail Bar, really great staff, really well decorated, really great music, amazing happy hour prices AND you can use Confidential's deals outside of happy hour. literally couldn't recommend Alvarium enough, it is my Go-to bar in Manchester. and the drinks are so 'instagrammable' and unique, really going well with the theming of the bar. and their Long Island Ice Tea is insanely good!!!

Black Leaf is a beautiful restaurant in the basement of Alvarium, serving all vegan food - though I think you can sit outside with it if you like. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. As much as I like vegan junk food, it's so nice finding somewhere serving something a bit more grown up without it being intimidating.

Hamburger restaurant
Nestled within the vibrant Society MCR food hall in Manchester, Slap & Pickle Burgers is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. This eatery specializes in mouthwatering smash burgers crafted from locally sourced Yorkshire beef, ensuring each bite is packed with flavor. The burgers are generously topped with gooey cheese and come stacked high with gherkins and spicy additions, including unique options like Bury black pudding.
Top tier Crimbo burger! I love trying out festive special burgers and the offering from S&P was one of the quirkiest I've come across but also one of the most enjoyable. The patties were cooked nicely and tasted great. The addition of the Christmas pudding really worked wonders. The sweetness complimented the saltiness from the meat (and the load of pickles too). Extra sweetness from the cranberry too. A proper festive treat! I had roasties on the side but despite being crispy they were cheap frozen potatoes and very dry. Some gravy might have saved them but £2.75 is a bit much to charge really... I was only after the burger anyway though so that didn't spoil my experience.
Zack P — Google review
Really delicious food, had 2 burgers and fries (1 chicken kieve fries, 1 plain) and teriyaki wings. Fries were pretty dry. It did come to £52 (with 10% tip) though which honestly was pretty pricy. Wish you could get the burger on its own because we couldn't eat the fries! Will visit again regardless, not sure we'd bother paying an extra £4 to make the fries loaded again.
Jenni J — Google review
These burgers absolutely smash it out of the park - probably one of the best I've had in Manchester. Fries are decent, although can get a bit soggy from the sauces. I'd probably just stick to plain chips with a side of sauce. Other reviews say the service was slow, but this really wasn't a problem for us. Even with the place rammed full
Dan L — Google review
We ordered both meat and vegetarian options, both were really good as well as cheesy fries. Absolutely recommend!
Maksymiliana K — Google review
Had a really lovely vegan burger which was delicious and filling. Venue itself is nice with various places to eat and a big bar, but it has that minimalist warehouse vibe that's trendy these days so if you're going in a big group you'll be sat on wooden benches with no backrest.

The best vegetarian burger I’ve had in ages; absolutely delicious. Service was quick and sauces are free. Pretty pricey but so nice I forgot about that pretty fast.
Ella — Google review
Really (really) good burgers. I ordered the Moo x Too with cheese and the Big Mick Fries. It was all delicious but it you’re getting a burger maybe choose a different loaded fries as it’s a lot of burger to get through. All tasted amazing and burgers were juicy!
Rob M — Google review
That’s £14.50 for a burger What a nightmare this place is. It’s located in one of them QR code prisons where lots of other food shops line the edges and you order through your phone while sitting on a bench in a crowded, noisy and dimly lit room. No I don’t want to pay £14.50 to be stuck in this hell and that’s the cheapest option before the upsell. My sister paid £18+ for a bunless burger and a drink. (Outdoor seating is available but it’s still a horrible experience) If you’re happy to be human livestock and live out your Guantanamo bay fantasy then this is the place for you

The newly opened Kampus location boasts a vibrant atmosphere with a mural of Bondi Beach adorning the main wall and lush greenery enhancing the space. A nice bowls restaurant in the heart of Manchester. The location is perfect, it was just less than 5 minutes away from my hotel. The service was which abs excellent, the acai bowl was delicious. The price was great.

the store and staff were really nice but the salmon poke bowl i had was so salty. The actual salmon sashimi was good but i think they put too much salt or sauce? Also quite a few mini flies in the bathroom.

Tasty bowls, although a bit small compared to their competitors in town. The Ceasar bowl is really nice, I ate that a couple of times when I wanted a healthy lunch from work, before I decided to stop eating there. The people who work there are borderline rude, with an 'attitude' that gets you to think why you're supporting this business. I stopped frequenting Bondi Bowls.

My absolute go too for a nutritious meal in the city! It can be really hard to find places sometimes when you’re out and about and bondi bowls is literally perfect! The staff are super friendly, it’s always really quick and the food is delicious, so much choice and suitable for all dietaries.

Food that’s both yummy and healthy. All the meat is halal as well and the staff are lovely. Would definitely come again!

Amazing aussie inspired bowls. Most of the menu is plant based with options to add meat or dairy. I love the caesar salad bowl w tofu, the dressing is so good. The strawberry cream shake is also delicious. You can add protein to your drinks. They do savoury and sweet bowls with breakfast options and brunch and lunch offerings. All the food is really fresh and made in store. I tried the matcha smoothie bowl today which was amazing and they also do coffee and other drinks. It's a really calm vibe in there and one of the few places in manchester to find something healthy, nourishing and tasty.
Laura H — Google review
Bad attitude of staff members when trying to order and told nothing left. Even when answering questions about what was left, we were met with hostility 🫣 very dirty and messy in the kitchen area which you can see from the seating area. Not clean! Also, found a sharp piece of plastic in my acai bowl when eating… dangerous 😳

Vegan restaurant
Black Leaf is a hidden gem in Manchester's Northern Quarter, located beneath the popular Alvarium restaurant. Led by chef Grace Stubbs and her all-female team, this subterranean kitchen offers an innovative plant-based menu that appeals to both vegans and non-vegans. Diners can enjoy creative dishes such as king oyster mushroom calamari, roasted Jerusalem artichokes, spicy soy beef tacos, and banana blossom fish tacos.
I’m gutted to hear that Black Leaf is closing but very happy to hear that they’re relocating! The food we had was part of a midweek deal they had in November. When we arrived, which was quite early, it was so quiet that we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while, which felt weird. This place deserves to be busy all the time!

Literally had the best ,I repeat..the best vegan tapas to date. Oh my Buddah the buffalo cauliflower in the sexy guiness (amongst other very tasty ingredients) was to die for. Yum! If only I saved space for the desert.... Cannot wait to come back! Thankyou so blooming much!!! :D

Amazing vegan, no-waste restaurant. We tried about 8 dishes and wasn't disappointed by one. The new menu is incredible - personal favourites were the Guinness-glazed Cauliflower, the spiced Carrot & Parsnip dish and the 'Beef on toast. The restaurant itself is great too, really nice setting and the staff were all great too. The cocktails ruled too.

This little gem is underneath Alvarium. It's an incredible no-waste-kitchen of seasonal vegan food. We've never had a bad meal here! They have really inventive dishes like vegan scallops and spanakopita. W've been multiple times and always enjoy it!

Was a nice evening, great service and food. Venue is a little loud once full.
Dave — Google review
I was close to 3 stars but the staff were great. Cocktails need attention, I hardly ever send drinks back but I just couldn't drink it. Food is good, I did expect better but I think with a few tweaks and some nicer plates and decor they could do really well. Upstairs was much more inviting, softer lighting, better playlist, more relaxed. Downstairs feels a little lost, like they ran out of money. Hope it grows because I wanted to like it more than I did but I will go back in a month or so and see what they have done to improve. Staff were saving grace.
