Lunch restaurant
The Breakfast Bar is a beloved breakfast and lunch spot with a stylish, cozy interior featuring chandeliers, succulents, and gold accents. Founded by locals Josh and Pamela Beadel, it has become an institution in Long Beach. The restaurant offers creative dishes that aim to bring the community together over food and drinks. In addition to its delicious food offerings, The Breakfast Bar also serves mimosas, Bloody Marys, and craft beer.
This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. Their lunch menu looks great too, but I can’t get past their breakfast options. The potato cake is so freakin’ good. And ask for the jam for your rosemary bread! The staff is super friendly and attentive. And I just love the atmosphere - good music and good vibes all around.

The food was good, especially the eggs. I ordered French toast, eggs and bacon and it was tasty. The fruit was very fresh and delicious!! Our server was OK, although there were times he would argue with us about what we asked for despite knowing us knowing our individual preferences and how we order food. The food for our party came out at different times, with some people like me receiving food more than 15 minutes after other people who were in our party. The food was a bit pricey, especially for breakfast but maybe I'm not accustomed to California prices. But what was interesting is that the breakfast was more expensive than some of the lunch items. There was a bit of a wait for a table. We were initially told that it would be 30 minutes for our party of 11 but it took about 45 minutes. Other smaller parties of 2 and 3 also waited a while, likely because it was a holiday. When we asked another table for suggestions, we were warned that the chicken wasn't seasoned as well- which we later agreed with one someone in our party ordered the chicken tenders. Athough the buffalo sauce helped out with flavor. I never got to see the inside of the restaurant, so I'm not sure about the inside or what they offer or are suitable for. But I heard from several in our party and another close table that the lemon cakes were amazing!

Was expecting better, wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. Order was a bit messed up (everyone makes mistakes) so no biggie, asked if they can re do it and they delivered. But by the time they corrected what was messed up, my other food got cold. But overall it was fine. Waiter was prompt and prices are to be expected. Would try another spot before coming here again. The breakfast burrito was banging tho

Worst breakfast experience. The staff was really nice but unfortunately my food was not. I ordered eggs Benedict, and as you can see from my photo, the eggs were really overcooked. They tried to remedy the situation and brought poached eggs that were still floating in water and expected me to fish them out! It was a hot mess. The sauce was pretty good, at least. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was waaaay better than what I ordered.

Excellent food! Servers work hard and do a great job. Potato pancake is unique and so good. I like the ‘walk of shame’ menu - more affordable. Lots of flies where we sat which was unpleasant…

I took my mom to breakfast. On this day they happen to have their lemon flavored pancakes. I originally went for the French toast but that lemon pancake taste so good with the lemon flavored drizzle. OMG! It was like eating lemon pound cake. The flavor was so exact! My mom loved the fried potato cakes

Amazing lemon pancakes 🥞 I love lemon overall and this just took it over the top delicious! Must try if you are a lemon lover! Breakfast Burrito 🌯 looked delicious and my partner said it was and finished it!

This little place hands down is one of the BEST places I have ever eaten. Not just the food, it’s the people. The gentleman here were so so so accommodating to our family with a 4 month old baby and stroller. Johnny who was our server, played with my little grandson and was just so sweet! You just don’t know how much that meant to us. Everyone needs to come here. This place will be a go to always because now we have friends here!!! Thank you thank you so much.

Brunch restaurant
Nestled in a charming 1920s Craftsman bungalow in Belmont Heights, The Attic is a unique Southern eatery that has been serving up creative dishes since 2012. The owner, Steve Massis, made a bold decision to shift the restaurant's focus back to its roots of honoring gastronomy while still offering visually appealing and delicious food.
We found The Attic while searching for the best breakfast spots in Long Beach. It wasn’t at the very top of the list, but with thousands of positive reviews, we decided to give it a shot—and we’re so glad we did. Located in a charming neighborhood with local shops and a great dive bar (Reno Room—definitely worth a visit after brunch), The Attic has a modern, welcoming vibe. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, a large open-air bar area, and indoor dining as well. The menu is packed with tempting options. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles and the BEC—both were absolutely delicious. The real standout, though, was the biscuits with jam and butter. Honestly, they might be the best biscuits I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, full of flavor, and not at all dry. To top it off, the mimosas were only $4 each and poured generously with champagne. Service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and fast. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Long Beach.

Great spot for a weekend brunch. The cheetos mac-and-cheese was amazing get it with the short rib! The restaurant made pasta was very good. My wife and I had split the Benedict with the Grit cake was a really interesting idea and we really liked the shrimp, the pork was a little all over the place taste wise. French toast was huge! We took over half of it. Service was on point. Recommendations were good. Flies. There were lots of flies. They have little fans but you have to ask for them. Overall we loved this place and my wife looks forward to having brunch with her friends soon.

My friend brought me here during a gap between our classes and told me it was a fan favorite here in LB. Truth be told, I had never heard of this place but I'm glad he brought me. We were able to be seated almost immediately. After a few recommendations, I settled for the chicken and waffles. I wanted to try the Reuben, as the waiter mentioned it is a more popular option but also limited. They had ran out of them by the time we got there. I was disappointed but it just means I will have to come back to try it another day! The chicken and waffles were pretty good though. It was a fair portion too, not too much and not too little. One giant piece of chicken and one medium sized waffle with a side of gravy and hot honey Tabasco. It all tasted really good and the chicken was super tender and crispy. I can't say I was left disappointed with my choice. Our server constantly checked up on us to see how we were doing and constantly brought us glasses of water. I liked this detail. Also the patio seating outside was lovely on a sunny afternoon in Long Beach. Thankfully it was not too hot or cold outside.

Loved our server, Emma! She was wonderful, very attentive and personable. :) The overall atmosphere here is awesome! The decor is lovely. Food was delicious - the Mac & Cheetos is a MUST. Highly recommend!

This place is an incredible restaurant! 🍴 The Attic serves an incredible selection of unbelievably delicious 🤤 dishes 🍽️ - definitely get the Bread 🍞 with Pimento 🌶️ Cheese 🧀, the Cornbread 🌽 with Butter 🧈 and Honey 🍯 (probably the best cornbread I ever had), Mac & Cheetos 🍝, and Spring 🌱 Pea 🫛 Salad! 🥗 The place is nicely decorated 🛋️, the ambience 🎶 is great, service is professional and quick ⏲️, and the staff 👨‍🍳 is super friendly and helpful! I wish I knew about this place earlier and could come here more often!
Alon G — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Attic is phenomenal! The food is bursting with flavor and truly memorable. The gumbo is absolutely five-star, perfectly seasoned and comforting. The AC/DC cocktail was spot on, and the banana pudding dessert was the perfect sweet finish. Everything exceeded expectations. I’ll 100% be returning!

This was my second visit. Dined on the patio were the louvers moved with the change of the suns direction. Nice ambiance allowing us to take in the neighborhood good vibes of people walking and visiting the local shops after dining. The waiters and staff worked well as a team. The rice breakfast bowl is one of my favorite and didn't miss out on getting a bloody mary. Looking forward to my next visit.
Renett Y — Google review
This spot is such a gem! Staff is always so friendly and they go above and beyond in service. Notably, Fernando and Nathaniel have consistently provided excellent service! The food is delicious, the happy hour specials are top tier, and the menu is fun with unique offerings. Pictured is my latest visit with their “girl dinner”. On my latest trip, I was chilly and they even had the softest coziest blanket for me! Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about The Attic!

Schooner Or Later is a locally owned marina fixture since 1985, offering American breakfast and lunch fare along with cocktails. Situated along the Long Beach waterfront, this iconic establishment provides scenic views of the Pacific Ocean and a spacious patio for outdoor seating.
We celebrated Mother’s Day at Schooner or Later and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was perfect, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was on point. Everything came out fresh and delicious, and the waterfront setting made it feel extra special. It was the perfect spotto relax, enjoy a great meal, and make memories with the family. Definitely one of our new favorite places—can’t wait to come back!

We just moved local to the Long Beach area, and everyone kept telling us we needed to hit up Schooner or Later! We were not disappointed (: Food was great, pretty basic brunch/lunch food - I ordered the Chilaquiles, but be forewarned, the red sauce is SPICY! Atmosphere does ALL the heavy lifting here. Water front, with a view of the boats passing by? Unmatched. Additionally, the great part about waiting for your table is you can order a lil drink prior to being sat at their bar. Service was great, and we’ll definitely be back soon! ⭐️
Kaet A — Google review
I hadn't been there in a few years but if anything changed, it only got better. I have been there several times and I honestly have only had the Crab Omelet with Avocado and Hollandaise. Onion Rings are made fresh to order and the Biscuits are a must have. Hard to believe that's my go to without having tried anything else in years. Hey, if it ain't broke, right?
Brian B — Google review
100000/10 all across the board! My brother and I stopped off before the beach and were blown away. We’re from the south and the biscuits & gravy is the best we’ve ever had. The omelets were loaded up with ingredients, fresh off the griddle, buttery hashbrowns, fresh sourdough and OJ, etc. great kind and fast service from everyone. Absolutely blown away!!!!

This is the first time I’ve had a chance to visit and I’ve lived in the area my entire 46 years. I’ve heard of it but didn’t know they even served food and amazing food at that. We went for mimosas and brunch around 11 am on a Monday. Celebrating my besties mom’s bday and so glad we chose this location. The weather was awesome, it was pretty packed with customers but we were seated and served immediately. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. I had the vegetable omelet and a mimosa that was a little strong for my taste. But I don’t like overwhelming alcohol taste in general. It was still delicious I just had the waitress bring me an extra cup of orange juice. The waitress even brought us this new gadget that is a tall stick that sits on the table and it has almost like fan blades that are flexible plastic that it turns on and spins and keeps flys away from the table and most importantly the food. I believe all 6 of us in our party really enjoyed our celebration and the food was as good as it gets. I never would have guessed that place had such great cuisine. Thanks for the memories
GRACE M — Google review
My sister and I enjoyed brunch! Awesome friendly service! My sister says one of the best bowls of chili she's had in a while.
David W — Google review
Very enjoyable breakfast on the patio. The view is amazing, as is the food. Coffee mugs are large. Food portions are also on the large size; great English muffins!
LH S — Google review
I was happy with the beer I bought for the long wait, and thought the rest of the experience would be good, too. The Greek salad was plain iceberg lettuce, which was mostly what this salad had. I was expecting a higher quality of greens, like maybe Romain for the almost $20.00 salad. Nope. The black olives, tomatoes and feta cheese were sparse as was the chicken. Not coming back! 🥲

Tantalum Restaurant is a spacious waterfront establishment offering a fusion of New American cuisine with Asian influences. Situated in Long Beach, California, the restaurant boasts an impressive 75-foot mahogany bar and provides stunning views of Alamitos Bay. It's not uncommon for guests to arrive by boat at this hidden gem located within the Marina Pacifica retail center.
I have never been to this restaurant before. We tried the brunch.. loved the view of the harbor.. I loved the different variety on the menu. Loved the braised short rib sliders, crispy Brie, and chicken lollipops!!!
Kristin E — Google review
I had such an amazing experience at Tantalum restaurant ! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and full of character. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and welcome. The decor, lighting, and overall vibe made it perfect for a chill night out. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish we ordered was packed with flavor, and the portions were huge! You definitely get your money’s worth here. It’s one of those places where you leave full and happy. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the live jazz music. The band was so talented, and the music added this incredible energy to the whole place without being too loud or overwhelming. It created the perfect backdrop for enjoying dinner and good company. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food, a cozy vibe, and some amazing live music. I’m already planning my next visit!
Olena S — Google review
The food here is good overall. I tried the salmon—it was decent, but not outstanding. In my opinion, a touch of sweetness in the sauce would have added more contrast and flavor. On the other hand, the steak with fries is definitely a must-try! Prices are reasonable, and although we arrived early and missed the live music, the atmosphere still felt nice and relaxing. I imagine it gets even better later at night. I’d definitely come back to try the drinks and enjoy the live music experience.
Karen B — Google review
Disappointing. Overpriced and no flavor. Food is bad. We had appetizers and entrées. None of them tasted good, even the dish of the day... And very overpriced. My wife cook better. Drinks were good, but the service is terrible. "The bar is overwhelmed" so the wine glass arrived 40 minutes after. We had time to order food, wait, eat the appetizer, receive the entrees, and then wine. Oh and my cocktail? Got there is a few minutes! How come wine takes longer than cocktail? Don't know, they probably grew the vines and harvest grapes in the process... Yet, the servers kept coming and asking "everything is okay?" Well no, as we told you 3 minutes ago, and the 3 minutes before that too. But what can you do? Go to the bar and poor the wine yourself? Nahhh that would be crazy... Anyway, I tried and I don't recommend.
Erwan C — Google review
An unforgettable evening at Tantalum Restaurant in Long Beach! We stopped in for wine and appetizers, and everything exceeded our expectations. The calamari was perfectly crispy and tender, and the tuna tartare was incredibly fresh and beautifully plated—both paired wonderfully with our wine. The atmosphere is what truly sets Tantalum apart. The waterfront view is stunning, and the live jazz music created an incredible vibe—elegant, relaxing, and soulful. It added the perfect touch to our night and made the entire experience feel special and elevated. Service was warm and attentive, and the staff made excellent wine pairing recommendations. If you're looking for a spot in Long Beach for great seafood, fine wine, and live music in a chic, romantic setting—Tantalum is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

Great food and amazing ambiance. I’m a huge fan of the decor! I attended a birthday party here in a private room and the service was excellent!
Antonio B — Google review
This is one of my favorite restaurants, however. Today I came to celebrate my birthday andvto my disappointment, the ambiance was nothing like it used to be. No live music and the DJ was awful. Worse choice of music. After we finished our food and left to Sevillas. I don't know if I will be coming back any time soon.
Mia S — Google review
Tantalum is located at the far right corner of a shopping center. Seems out of place if you ask me. Could've fit better in downtown Long Beach since it's so nice. There's plenty of free parking. It has a long, beautiful, tropical entrance. My friend and I were going to wait to sit outside to have the ocean view but there was a wait. We ended up sitting at the bar which had no wait and also the view of the ocean so we decided to stay there instead. We got to enjoy the view minus the crazy wind. My hair thanked me. I had a michelada (7/10) and a strawberry mojito (10/10). I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was definitely different since it came in a sauce not just fried. I enjoyed it and would get it again. My friend got a dish that came with fries, a sauce and shredded beef. (forgot the name) It was okay. I loved the atmosphere. It was spacious with low lighting. Gave off a very intimate feel. The music was lively. There was also an area in the middle with cute couches and small tables to hang out at it. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Tantalum and would definitely visit again.

Museums
The Long Beach Museum of Art is located on a bluff-top site and features galleries showcasing works by Southern California artists. The museum's permanent collection includes over 3,200 American and European art pieces displayed in rotating exhibitions within the Elizabeth Milbank Anderson house, a stunning California bungalow from 1911. Additionally, the adjacent Pavilion hosts visiting and special exhibitions featuring contemporary artists.
The Long Beach Museum of Art is such a hidden gem for weddings. The ceremony overlooking the ocean is breathtaking, and the gardens and terraces create a natural flow for guests to enjoy the celebration. Inside, the gallery spaces bring an unexpected creative touch—I loved seeing a couple step away for portraits framed by vibrant artwork, which felt like a blend of fine art and personal storytelling. From a photography standpoint, the variety of backdrops is unmatched: ocean views, clean modern interiors, and intimate evening lighting strung across the courtyard. It allowed me to capture an entire wedding day with so much diversity in the visuals, all without ever leaving the property. If you’re looking for a venue that feels both elevated and personal, the LBMA really delivers. It’s easily one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding.

Gorgeous views and a wonderful restaurant on the property. We were a little underwhelmed by this museum. If we didn’t receive half off from eating at the Claire’s restaurant we would have been disappointed. It was cool to see so much of Keith Haring’s work up close.
Joss — Google review
I attended the "After Dark" event for The Art of Food exhibit and was very underwhelmed. The exhibit itself was quite boring. I didn’t realize it would take such a modern and minimalist approach, especially since the advertisements featured a colorful, lush painting on the cover art. Most of the pieces were modern works—like those by Warhol and Lichtenstein—which I don’t particularly care for. The "After Dark" party was disappointing. The staff outnumbered the guests, and for a $20 ticket, I expected at least a complimentary wine pour. At 9:50 I was asked to leave because I was the only person left... 10 minutes before closing time. Overall, I found the experience lacking and probably won’t attend special events here again.
Emily D — Google review
A really nice art museum. The Keith Haring exhibit was really cool with a handful of items and work I’ve never seen before. The staff were super nice to chat with and friendly. The museum has an upper patio that overlooks the ocean as well!

Very nice small museum with a beautiful view of the ocean. Loved seeing Keith Harings artworks. On the basement floor they show local school children's art which I think is pretty nice. Half price on Fridays!

Nice little museum with the view of the ocean. There are 3 floors in this museum, they have exhibits of artists from local area. Wonderful installation outside, look beautiful day and night time. I have the honor to volunteer for the installation. Thanks LBMA for having me. Parking is free and it’s outside of the museum. So make sure to check the google map before you come. There is a little restaurant for you to enjoy the ocean breeze and beautiful view as well.

First time at Let’s Yolk About It DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Food was incredible, service impeccable and vibes top notch. We ate outside, great spot for people watching. Our server, Juliet, was friendly, funny and recommended the best breakfast burrito!! We hope to sit in her section again!

Went for brunch during the middle of the week. Ordered the pancakes with a side of sausage as well as their supreme omelette. Both dishes were made well and I especially enjoyed the seasonal compote on the pancakes. However, the pancakes were slightly chewy. As for the omelette, I found it to be very flavorful.

I got the Huevos Rancheros ($17) with added carne asada (+$7). It was really good. The corn tortilla is soaked with the sauce. Flavor was perfect. Our waiter said it is the most popular dish. Fried French Toast ($16) + Billionaire Bacon (+$5). Waiter said it was also good. I liked the fresh blueberry jam on top of the French toast, but I felt that the jam wasn’t enough. The jam was what made the French Toast. It was just drizzled down the middle of the toast. The toast was ok. A bit too oily for me. The Billionaire Bacon was added cuz of the server saying it is really good. When we got it. we were all disappointed. We thought it would be a thicker sliced bacon for $5!!! The flavor was really good though. It was coated with honey or syrup and it had some seasoning on it. Parking: street parking. There is metered parking and if you go in towards the residential streets, it’s free to park. I think there’s just street sweeping on a certain day. However, it does get packed. There is a restroom for both genders. Weekends do get packed so the wait might be awhile.

We arrived right when they opened and were the first customers of the day. Since they were just getting set up, it took a little longer for the food to come out and the waitress took forever to take our order. The food and lattes were absolutely delicious! It was super crowded when we left so we got lucky coming in right when they opened. I’d definitely come back whenever I’m spending the day in Seal Beach. (Took a star off because of service)

Tried it for the first time — food was delicious, and the vibe was great. Service was a little slow, but the quality made up for it. Solid spot for a chill breakfast by the beach!

Another Long Beach gem! My son and I were looking for a brunch place that wasn’t your run-of-the-mill greasy spoon on a Sunday. Luckily, this restaurant/bar met our expectations, and then some! The staff was very welcoming and our server was easy to talk to and offered great suggestions. Their huevos rancheros were delicious and the salsa has spicy enough to bring that kick but it wasn’t too spicy to the point where it overwhelmed the overall taste of the meal. My son gave a rare thumbs up for his crab benedict, which is noteworthy since he’s never a fan of tomatoes; regardless, he definitely enjoyed the sweeter-tasting version in his benedict! He also gave high praise for the potatoes, which were spiced and toasted just right. The only complaint I had was the longer than usual wait for our food, but given the amount of customers they had, I can see how the kitchen can fall behind. Regardless, our server came by to keep us updated and made sure our water was refilled.

Saint & Second is a trendy eatery in Long Beach, California that offers a laid-back atmosphere and an array of American dishes such as burgers and flatbreads, complemented by classic cocktails. The restaurant prides itself on serving locally-sourced seasonal cuisine and organic cocktails. Some of the popular menu items include Natural Fillet Mignon, Bison Short Rib, Alaskan Halibut, and the Chartuccerie Board for 2.
We got here kind of late so I was surprised at how much seating was available. The staff were very friendly, and helped us decide what to pick from the menu and didn’t steer us wrong on any suggestions. We chose to sit outside but the indoor seating seemed very nice. They have shades and everything for outside and offered to turn on the heat for us, being that it was at night. The food was amazing. My wife got some sort of salad and she loved it! I got the burger of course and it was excellent. That desert thing was a suggestion and was pretty good as well. This place is definitely expensive, and that’s saying something for 2nd street, but it was worth it. Take your girl here when you get that tax return!

The place is very nice and clean. The food is okay, nothing extraordinary and the portions are very small. There are no refills for sodas and juices, nor is there any complimentary bread. There was no line at the reception, there were several empty tables and the receptionist took more than 15 minutes to seat us at a table (I thought it was strange). The waiter seemed to be overwhelmed, having to serve 3 tables and putting on a show with the smoke from one of the dishes that took over the entire restaurant. I thought it was expensive and overrated.

Parking can be challenging. Street parking in a busy area. Paid to free street parking. There is upstairs seating. They take reservations. Not sure if they have gluten free options. Food is on the expensive side. Good service. Clean restroom. The desert tends to be on the very sweet side.

Long Beach Location...Last night, I chose this place for my last dinner in Cali because of the reviews. From the moment we walked in the male host was AMAZING! We chose to sit upstairs, the atmosphere was great. Our waiter Sagan was nice and informative. After going over what type of cocktail I like, he suggested the Matchi Colada....THE BEST THING I HAD AT THE RESTAURANT. Now to the food....I was not impressed and it didn't live up to the hype of the reviews. First dish: Mac & Shrooms, I thought this was going to be great because I love mushrooms...well the taste was bland and it had a watery texture (not creamy at all). Second: crab cakes, they were sweet and there was a lot of bread filling, it was NOT crab forward at all. The sauce under the crab cakes tasted sweet as well. Did not like the taste. The last of my order was the truffle fries that was fried in duck fat, the concept was on the menu looked good, but the fries were shoestring fries from out of a bag, not housemade. The fries were not hot and was fried very hard. The cheese on top was a little over powering. My cousin ordered the strawberry margaritas (she said it was good) and the fish and chips. She said the fish tasted okay and that the fish crust was not crunchy enough and kind of soggy. She chose to take the remainder home to put in air fryer just a little longer. Spent $119 (which is not bad, if the food was great/good) I only ate one crab cake, a couple of fries and a couple of spoons of the mac and shrooms. The guy taking our plates couldn't believe I didn't want a to go box. The atmosphere and cocktails was nice. The next time I'm in Long Beach, I may try their happy hour, but I'm good on the food.

Tonight, I treated myself to a solo dinner at Saint & Second, and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the entire experience. I started with the crab cakes—they were light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had the Caesar salad with chicken, which was hearty and filling. To finish, I indulged in the warm apple pie with ice cream, the perfect end to a fantastic meal. My server, Armando, was warm, friendly, and efficient, offering thoughtful and helpful recommendations from the menu. The restaurant’s sommelier and manager also went above and beyond, providing a first-class wine tasting experience that paired beautifully with my meal. I highly recommend visiting Saint & Second for any occasion. The ambiance is inviting, the food is outstanding, and the service is truly exceptional. Without a doubt, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Long Beach. When you go, be sure to ask for Armando and Diana—you won’t be disappointed.

Saint and Second has become the newest hotspot in East Manhattan Beach, situated on the new area of the Manhattan Village Mall. For couples, the prime seats are the bar stools on the patio, offering a cozy view inside. Ian, our bartender, was fantastic, and Ray also provided excellent service. The menu boasts a wide variety—from delicious burgers to the finest cuts of beef available. With the kitchen staying open until midnight, it's a great alternative to The Kettle. Kristina and I had a wonderful time, and it’s now a regular addition to our weekly list of favorite dining spots.

The Potholder Cafe Downtown, one of four locations in Long Beach, is a beloved spot known for its American and Mexican comfort foods. The downtown location is particularly popular, offering a lively SoCal beach-themed dining room perfect for any meal with friends. It's considered the go-to place for breakfast, which is served all day and includes a variety of options such as pancakes, omelettes, breakfast burritos, and chilaquiles.
We had a fantastic breakfast at The Potholder Too in Long Beach! We ordered the Popeye and the Grand Prix omelettes, and both were absolutely delicious—packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making the whole experience even better. It’s easy to see why this place is a local favorite. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a great breakfast spot!

Great Breakfast Spot with a Fun Vibe The Potholder Cafe Downtown has that classic California surf diner vibe, and it definitely delivered a great breakfast experience. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food, and the service was friendly and attentive. I tried the Maritime Loco Moco just to mix things up—and it was so good! Definitely something I’d order again. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast if you’re in the area. The only downside was the Bloody Mary, which lacked flavor and didn’t quite match the quality of the food. Still, overall a great place to start your day!

Came here for breakfast the other day, and must say the few times I've been here, it's always been good. Nice portions. Good service. This past visit not so much. Food was great, been better before. But I ordered an iced tea, and the server returned to let me know they forgot to brew it. So I got a club soda instead. But never got a refill. Sat at the counter. It was slow. But the servers were too busy chatting or doing roll ups.

The Crooked Duck is a charming restaurant located near Alamitos Bay in Long Beach, offering a relaxed atmosphere and delightful dining options. It's a popular spot for both locals and visitors, known for its weekend brunch featuring locally sourced menu items like Corned Beef Hash, Malted Waffle, Breakfast Burger, and the famous Crooked Duck Omelet with melted jack cheese and duck chili. The menu also includes mouth-watering burger options such as bacon cheddar Burger and classic turkey burger.
I brought the family and my dogs on this trip. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean and my dogs were treated as well as I was. I’m sad I’m not a local however I will make this a stop the next time I’m in town!! The food came in large quantities. Mother in law ordered their Texas French toast. She was shocked to see 5 actual size pieces of French toast that tasted as good as they looked. My wife ordered the Kentucky biscuit and gravy. She was very happy with her choice. Finally I ordered the wet burrito it was very hefty and filling. Being a big man I appreciate a filling breakfast. Ps. The dogs had a 3 eggs scramble with potatoes. They also enjoyed their meal!

This was my first time at this restaurant, my daughter brought me here for the first time. We ordered a supposedly veggie omelette after sitting viewing the menu. After we ordered and was speaking to the server is when she told me there would be a .50 cent sir-charge on each egg and due to this being a three egg omelette we would be paying an extra $1.50. Trying to tell us that eggs are expensive even though eggs are down in price 83%, then trying to tell us tariffs are the reason, but if you buy from egg farms in the US as he told us he does, the tariffs do not affect you. After sitting there for only about 3 to 5 minutes here comes our omelette which is impossible for a three egg veggie omelette. She told us not to touch the plate because it was hot. This is because it was pre-cooked and they heat it up in an oven. The cheese that was suppose to be in the omelette but was placed on top and burnt to a dark brown crisp, and was paper thin with maybe a spoon of veggies. We sent omelette back and left after speaking to the owner. While getting in our vehicle, the owner came running out agreeing with everything we were saying that the omelette was way overcooked and the cook put cheese on top of it to hide the fake that it was burnt. Terrible experience because part of the food was cold and omelette was burnt, we believe it was pre-made food heated up in an oven. They should have it posted on their menu if a .50 cent up-charge on anything, and pancake batter uses eggs but no up-charge. We should have been served fresh food cooked correctly and not have been lied to or misled about anything because they thought we would not notice. This is what an omelette should look like, and my daughter cooked this.

Amazing brunch place! Went here on a Sunday morning. Parking wasn't too difficult to find. We got there and got seated quickly. They did mess up our order, but the food was good so we just chose to accept it because the food here is just THAT good. Their wonton nachos are really good and we got the chili Verde omelet by mistake. The chili Verde omelet was great, but theres no spice. It was like just having good chicken in an omelet. We also ordered the Mega Mimosa and it was super worth it. They have a lot of juice options like mango, guava, pomegranate, grapefruit, and orange juice. The bottle of bubbly was decently sized so for two people you'll get a nice buzz. The staff was sweet and the music and vibes are really nice. Will definitely be coming back

This was a nice breakfast and lunch diner. It is styled with the history of the diner, ducks of course, and sport memorabilia. It is cozy and has seating for the inside and the patio. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was very good and gave great suggestions. The menu has a lot to choose from and you may select breakfast or lunch anytime. They serve quite a bit of breakfast selections for a reasonable price and for everyone’s palate. The country fried steak was really good, the eggs were delicious and are served to your liking. There’s regular coffee and hazelnut; the coffee is not that strong and very light. There’s regular potatoes are good and are made with bell peppers and onions. You can choose fruit, beans, and other selections for substitutions. The pancakes look delicious and so do the other meals. There is a special menu and it may include bison. It is kid friendly and is accessible to all. Parking is limited but there is street parking. It is open for only breakfast and lunch.

I don’t know what today’s experience was all about but it was only my second time here and I came back because my first time was amazing. This time I brought a friend for their first time here and it was everything opposite of that from the moment we came in… We waited awhile until somebody came by to seat us, once we were sat, they put us at a dirty table that still had crumbs and goo on the table. He wipes it down, asks for our drink order and we both get the same latte. They bring them out one at a time with five minutes apart, the design on top looks bizarre in comparison to every other drink I’ve seen and previously had my first time. Then we wait forever for someone to take our order, I don’t know who our server is at this point. I had also nearly finished my latte by the time someone else came around to see if we had ordered yet so I asked for another drink. Nobody told us what the specials were, I ordered a special last time and liked it so I was looking forward to hearing about them and assumed since they didn’t say anything they didn’t have them this time. It wasn’t until I heard the servers telling every other table around us what the specials were for me to even know they still had what I got last time … this time I only ordered sides off the menu bc I didn’t know. It took another 10-15 mins until my orange juice arrived and it only arrived because I flagged down another server and told her it’s been so long and I hadn’t gotten it. She went around the corner and came back in seconds with it. Why did that not happen the first time with our server?? Who IS our server? The whole time we had tables coming in on each side of us and we’re seeing them all get waited and taken care of in timely manners meanwhile we were actively there and spent most of our time just waiting for someone to help us. It wasn’t even getting busy until we were trying to leave at this point. Bizarre experience and now I don’t want to go back at all because what was that?? I wanted to ask one of the servers who our actual server was but she walked away before I even had the chance. Disappointed because I thought this would be my new spot because I live in walking distance but after this experience, no thanks?

Had a great time here for my birthday lunch. Customer service was amazing. My only downside was the restroom only had one stall, plus when getting out the restroom, the door knob is broken and it took a while to get out of it, which explained why it took people a long time to get out of it

I ordered through DoorDash. I ordered a two eggs breakfast that ended up not coming with any eggs. They said they had substituted the eggs for potatoes. We wanted the eggs and the potatoes. The picture for the meal is super confusing. The picture makes it appear that it comes with eggs, a protein, potatoes, and a choice of bread. For our order we were given potatoes, English muffin, and bacon for $18, no eggs. The other order was a bacon burger, without cheese, with sweet potatoes fries. I asked for mayo and ketchup packets but I didn’t receive either. The burger was good, I could have used more condiments. The egg breakfast needed eggs and jam. I did call the restaurant to tell them about the issues. However, since we ordered through door dash nothing could be done. I would only eat here again if I was able to visit the restaurant in person. I loved the drawings on the containers that was a very cute touch.

Starling Diner is a casually stylish, independent local cafe located in the quaint Long Beach neighborhood of Belmont Heights. It's known for its updated diner eats, offering comfort food with a twist on their brunch menu. The diner serves tasty mimosas in flavors like peach-mango or pear, adorned with flowers and lavender.
Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and I enjoyed my breakfast more than I anticipated. It's tucked away in a sleepy, quiet neighborhood part of Long Beach, which I really like because they don't have a dedicated parking lot so it will be street parking, but it's very easy to find in this part of LB. I would not really call this place a diner. It's more of a local hidden gem breakfast spot. Don't expect a giant menu or a coffee counter or other things that you would see at a traditional diner. That being said the food quality is really good and I feel the prices are fair. Our server was also very nice and everything that we ordered arrived quickly after placing our order. They have a few tables outside, but most seating is indoors, but it is quite small so there may be a wait if there are large groups in front of you. I started off my meal with a Caramel Steamer, which is basically like a cappuccino, but with caramel flavoring. For my meal, I chose the Chorizo Scramble and honestly really liked it. It came with a baguette on the side, which was a unique addition and the eggs and chorizo combo really hit the spot. It was also a good sized portion, but I was still able to finish it all. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone living in Long Beach or to anyone searching for a great local breakfast option.

Came here for the first time last month with my family and had a lovely time here. Everything in the menu sounds so good, it was a bit difficult to decide. We arrived there 8:45 am and was told to sit wherever we pleased. We found a comfortable table by the window, and we are happy that the place is not too crowded. We placed our orders, coffee and breakfast specials since it was before 9 am. The staff who took our order was pleasant and efficient. He and another staff came by to refill our coffee numerous times, which we appreciated. The food was plentiful and reasonable. Shortly after we arrived, more people flocked in..and we felt that we got very lucky to have gotten there when we did, as we would a street parking spot easily. I would definitely return to this place and try other items.

So, I originally wanted the seasonally Nutella French toast but my wife and I shared and she said no. So we got some French toast with fruits and stuff. Man, I did not expect this kind of French toast. This thing looked some someone took a baguette and threw it on a plate, but it was fire. I felt super fancy and stuff. The atmosphere was great, the service was great as well. I’m definitely coming back, for sure. Also, all San Francisco themed which was pretty cool.

Comfortable space with friendly servers and amazing food. The menu has lots of great options whether you're craving a light breakfast or a hearty dinner meal. There's always lots of parking nearby and they almost always have seats available even on busy Sunday afternoons. The restroom is clean and accessible. The inside space can get pretty loud as there isn't much to absorb sound, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Relaxing place to enjoy delicious breakfast with prompt and friendly service. I tried the breakfast Polenta, I was a bit surprised it came out like a nice dessert, ha ha. I enjoyed it very much. My friends had the twice baked granola and omelettes, they liked their dishes as well. It was a reunion breakfast, and we were there for a while (90+ min), the server came by many times to top our coffee which was very nice. Parking: avoid Thursday morning if possible, no street parking on one side of the street due to street cleaning. Mist of my party had to find spaces pretty far away. I was lucky to get a space right across the street as someone left.

Blackbird Cafe Inc is a cozy and well-lit venue that has been serving breakfast and lunch since 2011. Located in Long Beach's historical California Heights, this popular diner offers a diverse menu featuring Mexican-inspired dishes such as huevos rancheros, migas, and the hearty Juan Wayne. The cafe provides a tranquil atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their meals or get some work done while sipping on hot beverages.
I visited this location on a Saturday around noon. I was put on the waiting list to sit inside and waited approximately 10 min which isn’t bad. While I waited I asked to see the menu so I can take advantage of the time. The menu is very extensive but not overwhelming. I was able to read the whole thing and decide what I wanted . Even decided what I would get on my next visit! Our waiter Annette was amazing! She was very helpful and very funny! Took my roommate and I far too long to try Blackbird Cafe and we’re glad we finally did. The staff were fantastic to us and the food was beyond what we expected. I got the Huevos Rancheros and my roommate got the Poutine tots, both were off the scale. Street parking only but that isn’t much of an issue in cal heights. The wait was about 30ish minutes for 2 people during a Sunday morning rush, but they take down your number so we passed the time at the antique shop across the street. Absolutely our new breakfast spot.

I would say this is one of the very few places that was a positive and absolute pleasure going to. Environment, clean, cool, comfortable setting. Staff, courteous, attention to detail, smiles, warmth. Food, salt balanced out, eggs perfectly cooked, tostada fried perfectly to sustain the beans n sauce. Tatter tots were a little over cooked but everything balances out. What stood out to me was how neat and beautifully my sons fruit cup was presented. Price, after the great experience it was reasonably priced for the experience, i might say i event got lucky. Love this place. Strongly recommended it, try the “Juan wayne”

Ellie's is a vibrant and stylish restaurant that offers a modern twist on Southern Italian cuisine. The chef, Jason Witzl, has successfully adapted to the city and created a menu that resonates with the locals. The restaurant features an array of delectable dishes, with handmade pasta taking center stage. Shared plates like grilled bread board and steak tartare are perfect for starting off the meal. Guests rave about the flavorful pesto pasta paired with Pinot Noir.
Local eatery with an open and airy interior with shaded out door seating. Food was well executed. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the details. The gnocchi with shrimp was a standout. Friendly and informed staff made our experience truly wonderful. The salted caramel budino was super good and made by one of them! Even if you're full, order it, you won't regret it. We will be back soon. Before I forget: street parking only-get ready for a walk!

This is a decent place for Italian food. The roasted cauliflower was pretty good and unique. The pepperocini and red onions went well with it. The angel hair with mussels and clams were very good. It looks like spaghetti-os but it is very good. The gnocchi was also good and interesting given its abnormal shape.it was very pillowy and good with the sauce. Both pasta dishes had some sort of kick with it. The atmosphere was lively and but of noise with as many ppl as there was eating there. The service was a little bit inconsistent, from being late to being seated after making a reservation to not being attendee to in a timely manner. Overall good place to eat at. I'd come back to try some of their more interesting items like the shrimp and melon. Terrible area to find parking so come ahead of time.

We were delighted to sample a variety of handmade pastas, each offering its own unique flavor. Among them, the Baked Parmesan Cavatelli stood out as my personal favorite. While it was on the saltier side, the pasta was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. On the other hand, the Angel Hair pasta noodles were a disappointment. They were overcooked and became overly soft. The Mafaldine with the spicy vodka sauce, however, hit the spot. I must admit, I wasn’t a fan of the Gnocchi. It was delicious, but something felt amiss. The crab dip, which I had been hoping for a creamy dip version, turned out to be a salsa-style dip. Overall, the pastas were great.

For the LB Food week special the appetizers were two seafood items- an oyster and a scallop served separately and beautiful. Both delicious but the oyster's drizzle of lime, cucumber, jalapeno and dotted with ikura (roe) was particularly enchanting. The scallop sauce was tangy and delish as well with a splash of chili oil. The last appetizer was a parker house roll, which was good but I prefer regular bread. But it was nicely grilled and had a nice whipped butter calabrian chili spread on the side. It was petite so no worries about it killing your appetite. The Pappardelle pasta itself was fresh but I found the simple sundried tomatoes and garlic confit sauce a tad on the plain side. But a nice portion to share. The tri-tip apparently was the popular selection for this menu over the swordfish which is always on the menu. Kudos to the chef that it was prepared perfectly. The heirloom tomatoes with tiny slices of pepper were a nice contrast. The dessert was a refreshing strawberry compote (perhaps not the correct food term) but it was a nice light dairy dessert with fresh strawberries albeit it would be great with little used rhubarb. Service was good. Super cute place with ample patio seating. Yes, you can bring your (little) dog but be mindful that it's first come/first serve so you and your pet may have to be seated elsewhere if the dog vibes get out of hand, which is what happened last night. Luckily, Ellie's has two patio sections and everyone was happy. Also, note, that Ellie's suggest that if you need transportation to get here, consider an Uber/Lyft. Residential parking takes up most of the immediate area. Long Beach bus #121 drops off on Ocean Blvd, which is 4 or so blocks away.

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago to catch up with a friend over brunch, and we had a great experience! The Food: Since my friend and I couldn't decide between quite a few dishes, we ended up ordering family style and sharing everything. - Melon and Shrimp Salad: YUM. Bursting with flavor, refreshing,, and perfect for summer. - Crab Toast: please see attached pic - just look at that generous serving of jumbo lump crab! I am quite the crab enthusiast, and this dish fit the bill. The meat was so succulent and fresh, and I really enjoyed the bread they used. - Bolognese Benedict: this dish caught my eye on the menu, as I've never had this flavor combination together. My friend was a bit indifferent about this one, but I really enjoyed the contrast between the savory sauce and slightly sweet rolls. Ambiance: We opted to sit outside since the weather was so lovely. While I enjoyed the sunshine and breeze, I wish they had more shade umbrellas to fully cover the entire patio. We were also constantly swatting at flies that were trying to land on our food, which ended up being quite distracting. I'd noticed that some other tables had fans to keep flies away, so we ended up asking for 2, which did help resolve the issue. Kind of odd that it wasn't automatically offered to us, though. Parking: I'd read other reviews beforehand and was a bit apprehensive about the parking situation, but the parking gods were in my favor that day, and I found free street parking about a block and a half away on a weekend afternoon. Thank goodness! Overall, I had a wonderful experience and devoured all of the scrumptious food. I'll definitely be back, though I think I'll opt for an inside table next time!

I love seabirds! It’s my FAVORITE restaurant 🥹 My husband & I love coming here because although I’m vegan, he’s not but he loves seabirds just as much as I do! We always get the nachos and a burger 😂🫶🏼 For birthdays, graduations, life events & date nights this has been our spot. I’ll be so so so sad to see this location close & I wish we could say or do something to keep you guys in LB! ❤️

Everything here was chef’s kiss! My visit was in person and I ordered the Beets Me Burger! The Beets Me burger was so delicious and I loved the fact that it was made from mushrooms and beets. The flavor was amazing and the brioche bun was nicely toasted. I ordered the Biscuit Bomb and through UberEats and it is The Bomb! The biscuit was nice and soft and all of the flavors paired well together. The Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup did not disappoint! I will definitely be back for another visit whenever I’m in this area!

When we entered, we were immediately greeted and seated at a table. Once we got our menus, the waitress we had let us take our time going over their menu, and we ordered everything at once. Although it wasn't very crowded, our food took a while because everything is made on site, but you just can't rush greatness. The food was cooked perfectly, and I'm gonna be honest, I thought I was eating meat. I would completely recommend the All Day Breakfast Burrito and the Butternut Enchiladas. 10/10, would come back here again!

This is a vegetarian restaurant. I’m not a vegetarian and I did not want to come here, but so glad we did. Everyone loved their food. I’ve never heard of 90% of their menu items, so I tried the Beer Battered Avocado Taco and the Grilled Mushroom Taco. I should have gotten two more of each. My friends said the BBQ Burger was also good. So if you’re not a vegetarian, or are, and you’re hungry, COME EAT HERE!! Great staff, clean establishment and great experience. Highly recommended!!! 5++ Drinks here are great also!!

This place has great food, friendly staff and the atmosphere is amazing! My husband tried a hamburger and he said the portion is huge. For me tacos and I really enjoyed. Also the blueberry lemonade is delicious. My daughter got to go bibimbap and she loved it. Definitely I will come back.

Seabirds is a gorgeous vegan restaurant. The staff and food are always incredible and the atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful and calming. I would strongly recommend checking this place out if you’ve never been, are visiting the area, or just looking for something new. I bring lots of non-vegan friends here and they love it. I have yet to try something off of the menu I don’t like and they have lots of shareable food for the table. A great place for meeting up with friends or a special occasion. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a clean bathroom. Parking can be a bit tricky, but you’ll be fine if you don’t mind a short walk.

Embarking on our dining experience at Seabirds Kitchen, my dining partner and I were immediately embraced by a warm atmosphere and attentive staff. This gem of a restaurant is a testament to the rich diversity of plant-based cuisine. Before we delved into our meal, I started with a kimchi juice shot, a zesty appetizer that invigorated the senses and prepared my palate for the flavors to come. Our entrees were a parade of creativity and flavor. The grilled mushroom tacos were a delight, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Their earthy flavors paired well with the vibrant garnishes. The kimchi tacos were an adventurous fusion of Korean and Mexican flavors that excited the palate. The beet burger was a standout, a satisfying and hearty dish that showed off the innovative possibilities of vegan dining. To top off the evening, we indulged in a Chaffle, a waffle-like dessert that was the perfect balance of sweetness and texture, a delightful end to a wonderful Seabirds Kitchen provided us with a memorable dining experience. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or just a food lover, it's a culinary adventure that shouldn't be missed.

Ammatoli is a refined restaurant in Long Beach, known for its expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, particularly seafood dishes and baklava. Chef Dima Habibeh's culinary skills have earned the restaurant recognition as one of the best in the region. Her dedication to offering the finest Levantine flavors from Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus, and Palestine shines through in every dish. The menu goes beyond traditional Middle Eastern fare with innovative creations like musakhan chicken rolls and spicy grilled fish plates.
Fantastic!! So fresh and flavorful! I would dare say spectacular. This was such a wonderful experience and our server was great. We ordered a wide variety of food and I can say without a doubt it was excellent... all of it. The meat pie and cheese pie were amazing! Highly recommend Ammatoli and I would give it a 10 stars if I could. I can’t wait to come back to visit. The lemonade iced tea was SO good! Now I see why my daughter and son in law go at least once a week.

First off, Ammatoli was recommended to me by a friend and let me tell you absolutely nothing disappointed me. Our server, Mason was patient and pointed us to his favorites which are now MY favorites! (I can take home jugs of the Mint Lemonade) The atmosphere was so relaxing and yes you can take pictures of literally everything because the owners seriously created this place and menu with intention. You are guaranteed a delicious/high quality meal. If you get a chance, I say make a reservation because they do get booked and please ask for Mason he truly is the best!

I had dinner for a friend's birthday. We ordered the three way mezza (grape leaves, spicy hummus, falafel), chicken schwarma, Palestinian msakham, pita, spinach fatayer and cheese fatayer. The three appepetizers were pretty good. Grape leaves full of flavor. Spicy hummus had a touch of heat, not too much and the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The two pastries we had (fatayer) - the cheese was delicious. It was a nice savory, decadent pastry. Almost like a dense cake. The spinach was had a crispy flaky outer layer and I don't think there was too much filling, which was slightly disappointing. The two main dishes we shared, one was pretty good and the other, just okay. The schwarma was nothing to write home about. It felt like it lacked a little flavor but it could be that the appetizers were highly flavorful, this one fell flat for me. The Palestinian msakham was a recommendation from our server. The chicken was served on top of two flat breads smothered in onions and spices. The chicken itself was pretty good, juicy and flavorful. Pairing it with the flatbread it came with along with the yogurt dip and garlic sauce, was almost delicious. We also had dessert, Osmelieh ice cream. The is cream was tasty and paired with a flakey crust. It had some bits of dates in it which gave it some additional texture. Overall, the food was good. The service was okay. I felt I was personally ignored when she took everyone's drink order and didn't ask me for mine. She brought back everyone's drink and it wasn't only until I said something was when she took. My drink order. It was a bit odd but maybe she was distracted. One of my friends orders the yogurt drink, and given how everything was thoughtfully presented, this drink came out in it's original package. Which is fine, just a little odd since everything else was more less presented nicely. Why 3 stars them? We were reminded of the 90 min dining time what felt like 50x. We were sent several reminders about this before dining in. We were reminded upon checking in. We were reminded drying our meal. And then reminded when we paid our tab. Mind you, we were there within the 90 min time frame. I felt like all those reminders were overkill and kind of ruined the celebration. I get it. They want to get customers in and out so get in more customers. But for a celebration, maybe take it down a notch or two on the reminders.

Let’s start with the amazing name. Ammatouli. Amman is a city of 7 hills, (Amma), and touli in Latin means hills. Very creative name for a very creative restaurant with amazing food. Of course we had to order the hummus and Fattoush salad. Both were amazing. I highly recommend you ask them to give you the dakka for the hummus. We also ordered the meat kibbe too. They have an all star menu with appetizers, salads, main courses, and very creative desserts. My family and I ordered a lot of food so I can comfortably elaborate on the Mousakka, the kebabs, and the Chilean Sea Bass. The Chilean Sea Bass was definitely the clear winner. Probably the best I have ever had by far. Ever! So light and the rice that comes with it was delicious. The kebabs were all good. The Ribeye, lamb, kufta, and chicken. All good. Lastly the Mousakka was amazing too! Definitely worth getting a Levantine original version. We almost ordered the Palestinian Mosakkhan too. That looked really good. Last but not least is their excellent dessert menu. We tried Tata’s carrot cake. (Tata means grandmother). It was awesome. I came close to ordering “Date with a cake”. That is a very popular one. All in all I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Located in Long Beach, California, the Aquarium of the Pacific is a popular attraction showcasing marine life from the Pacific Ocean. Visitors can explore touch tanks and take behind-the-scenes tours to learn more about the diverse range of sea creatures on display. Situated on the harborfront, this 12-year-old facility offers a captivating experience for guests of all ages. The aquarium is conveniently located near other mainstay attractions such as Alamitos Beach, Shoreline Village, and Long Beach Cruise Terminal.
We absolutely loved our visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific! We got the after-3 Groupon deal and honestly didn’t know what to expect, but the entire experience blew us away. The only downside? We wished we’d had more time! The after-3 option is a fantastic value, but there’s truly enough here to spend the whole day exploring. The facility itself is beautiful—bright, clean, and full of life. As fish enthusiasts, we were amazed at how many different species there were to see. Every turn had something new and exciting. Our 2-year-old was completely obsessed, especially with the fish and the frog iPad painting activity. Some of our family highlights included: • Watching the playful sea lions and seals 🦭 • Petting a jellyfish (so cool!) • Splashing around in the outdoor play area • Staring in awe at the massive tank • Taking a selfie with a diver 🐠🤿 • Spotting sea turtles gliding by 🐢 • And the current starfish scavenger hunt—our toddler loved collecting the embossed stamps ⭐️ It was such a great balance of learning, hands-on activities, and pure fun. We left with huge smiles, tired feet, and a toddler who didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this aquarium for families or anyone who loves marine life—it exceeded all expectations!
Amber W — Google review
Spent around 3 to 4 hours to soak in all the highlights without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Interactive experiences like the touch tanks and the Lorikeet Forest made the day memorable—actually getting to feed birds and feel sea creatures up close was hands-down awesome. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and staff are always happy to chat and share fun facts about the animals

I’d like to thank some staff members specifically for their dedication to education and incredible service skills. Manny and America at the sea otters show did an incredible job! Sue and Sue’s partner (I’m sorry I forgot her name) in the sea lion-seal show also did a really nice job educating and entertaining us. One staff member that deserves extra recognition is David. David stood next to me for about 20 minutes at one of the touch areas and took me around - giving facts on animals and finding the best ones to touch. He was so kind and even told me about the sea otter show. Clearly the staff is passionate about the work they do. This aquarium is accredited AND the shows are just during feeding time (what a good way to give people a show while respecting the animals). I wish I lived her cuz I would come all the time. Try to get in as soon as it opens to avoid the large crowds from field trips if you go during the week.

We had an amazing experience. We went after hours and got to explore all of the exhibits. The marine life was incredible to see, even late at night. The rays were so friendly and actually wanted to be pet! It was one of the coolest experiences I've had there and I highly recommend paying them a visit. The staff were very kind and shared really cool facts while viewing an exhibit. I'll definitely be returning.

Amazing beautiful aquarium, bring good shoes it's a lot of walking. I loved not just the beauty of the place but how welcoming it is to kids. My son loved the coloring, the lights and all the different touch tanks. 10/10 would come back again!

A delightful experience for about the third of the face value of a ticket to Sea World. You have touch pools for sting rays, sharks, starfish, and even jelly fish. There's a sea lion show that's actually pretty good. Parking is only $8 with validation. If your kids are 'young' enough or you just want to see another aquarium, you can totally go here. Sea World is obviously bigger and has more stuff to see, but it's a few hours south and costs more.
Jose F — Google review
The tickets were a bit pricey (~ $45/adult) and I spent almost $8 on a single can of diet coke, but it was still a fun time. Lots to see, but very busy on the weekend. The parking garage was $8 and we had to go to the 4th floor to find a spot. It took us (2 people) about 2.5 hours to get through everything (leisurely taking pictures along the way). There's a cafe of you feel like getting something to eat (we didn't, so I don't know if the foods any good). My favorite part was seeing to the jellies and the big Zebra Sharks. Never seen a Zebra shark before, but man are they cool! Apparently, they breed them there as there was a tank full of eggs. Definitely recommend going and supporting them.

Nick's on 2nd: A Mixed Bag with a Delicious Payoff Nick's on 2nd in Long Beach offers a culinary experience that, while initially rocky, ultimately delivers on flavor. Our recent visit started with a frustrating hitch: despite confirming our late arrival via text, we were told upon reaching the restaurant that we'd missed our reservation. The hostess dismissed our text confirmation, and the manager echoed her stance before eventually, and graciously, seating us next. It was a slight bump, but one that could be easily avoided with better internal communication regarding reservation confirmations. The ambiance can be a bit lively, bordering on loud, but the exceptional food and drinks quickly overshadowed any initial annoyances. The appetizers were a highlight; the shrimp taquitos were perfectly crispy, and the deviled eggs offered a delightful twist on a classic. But the undisputed star of the meal was the seafood cioppino– it was truly delicious, a creamy, flavorful masterpiece. Despite the initial hiccup, Nick's on 2nd proved to be a worthwhile dining destination with a menu that consistently impresses. I found this place as midway between our hotel and where my old college roommate lives. What a find! The service was attentive without being fussy, and the food was ::chef’s kiss::. I had the soup special and the California salad, which was tastier than any salad has a right to be. The only problem is that we fly out tomorrow, and the dessert I ordered (lemon cake), while delicious, could feed five people!

I've been to Nick's in Pasadena before and had a great experience. However, Nick's on 2nd was something else. I came here for a work related lunch with one of my favorite clients and had the best experience with our server, Jonathan. I ordered the Center Cut Filet with mashed potatoes and it was so tasty! It was done right. I also ordered an espresso martini which was great along with some spicy margs. We ended the lunch with dessert which was also good! I would come back here in a heartbeat because of the service we received with Jonathan. He was attentive, knowledgeable of all the entrees and drinks (my client and I were so indecisive on what to get and Jonathan broke it down and gave us recommendations) and was super patient about it! Anytime you come here to celebrate something, they gift you a congratulatory card signed by the staff. It's a simple gesture yet so thoughtful and makes the entire experience even better. My client told Jonathan I just moved into a new place and the card was to wish me a happy housewarming. How cute is that? Lol. I parked in a public parking spot about a block away. You can also park on the street if you find a space.

Nick's on 2nd is everything you want for a weekend brunch spot--elevated comfort food, great service, and a lively, upscale vibe. We started with the deviled eggs and tomato bisque with grilled sourdough--simple but done right. The soup was creamy and bright, and the deviled eggs were a surprisingly flavorful bite to kick things off. For the main, I had the short rib hash with broccolini and sunny side egg--this was the standout dish. The short rib was tender and rich, and the velvety hollandaise brought it all together perfectly. It came with a fluffy house biscuit that was just chef's kiss. We wrapped it up with the French toast topped with whipped cream and caramelized banana--sweet, soft, and decadent without being too heavy. Everything felt well thought out and made with care. Highly recommend for brunch lovers who want a little indulgence in a beautiful space.

The restaurant is currently offering made-to-order holiday pies, including a decadent pecan and Granny Smith apple pie topped with cranberry sauce and whipped cream. It was the perfect date night! We opted for the 5 course Date Night menu. LITERALLY EVERYTHING we tasted was absolutely phenomenal! The service atmosphere, EVERYTHING was amazing! They even had live music while we were there. If you go and get the date night, use these pics to make your selections lol. See if you love it too... but you've gotta like flavorful foods. It was more than enough for the both of us.

The food was great. Try their bread. It is fresh and comes with very tasty dipping sauce. Check out the happy hour - all tapas are half price. It is definitely a good deal to have any tapas for 50% off. However make quick decisions on food. The service could be quite slow as they are short staff. Give yourself at least 30-45 minutes to get seated and order food if you want to take an advantage of the happy hour.

Great Spanish Tapas restaurant in downtown Long Beach. The food was amazing! We had a large group of 16 people. Tables were set and ready for when we arrived. They allowed us to sit prior to members of our party to arrive. Full course meal included dessert. We ordered from one of the preset options which is well worth it. Plenty of food! Drinks are a bit expensive but well made. The live music entertainment during dinner was great and they have a dance club above the restaurant available for after dinner. Some members of our party attended. It’s a great atmosphere and service!

I have reviewed Sevilla several times. It is my go-to place when in LA. However, in recent visits I have to say, service is starting to decline. From the bartenders to the doorman, it's just all going downhill. Food is still great though
Benedin R — Google review
We visited Sevilla for the first time with high hopes, especially curious about their variety of paellas. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the drinks were well-crafted with bold and balanced flavors. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not quite meet expectations. Although we were second in line to be seated, our server remained inattentive throughout the evening, which set an off tone from the start. The paella itself was underwhelming. It lacked the depth and seasoning expected from a well-executed Spanish dish, tasting more like a bland jambalaya. There was also no sign of the signature socarrat, the crispy bottom layer that adds texture and richness to traditional paella. It felt like an afterthought rather than the star of the menu. On a brighter note, the homemade bread and aioli were warm, fresh, and full of flavor. While there were a few highlights, I am not sure I would be eager to return. The foundation is there, but the execution needs refining to make it worth another visit.
Kiana W — Google review
The host service needs improvement. I give four stars to the food, the rice in the paella was very mushy, but it was great in flavor. Our favorite tapas so far are: the cheese and ham balls and the datiles rellenos!!! Super delicious!!!

The service was really good! The girls took the time to chat with me. I enjoyed the vegetarian paella, although a bit oily, portion was generous and the Pazo das Bruxas white wine was amazing.

BO-beau kitchen + roof tap is a sprawling bi-level gastropub located in the center of Downtown. The rooftop patio, known as BO-beau roof tap, offers stunning views of Pine Street and features about 50 beers on tap, a large wine list, and cocktails. The menu includes elevated American bar food as well as Korean- and French-inspired flavors with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options clearly marked.
I went to a friend’s birthday party with about 20 people. Our server was super attentive and did a great job of taking care of everyone. A few of us shared the Brussels sprouts, which were pretty tasty and a great way to share a dish among 3-4 people. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and decided to add short rib to my entree for an extra $10. It was a fantastic choice! The flavor was rich but not too overpowering. For drinks, I got an espresso martini and a whiskey sour. Both were a bit too sweet for my taste, though.

Had a wonderful birthday meal at BO-beau. Brussels and tomato bisque were standouts, but every bite was delicious. Picnic table seating was quite uncomfortable and cheapened the atmosphere a bit, but food more than made up for it. Probably wouldn’t drive from Irvine again, but absolutely worth a trip if you’re in the area.

We really like the BO-beau location on Pine Street especially the rooftop area. We headed over after a Dodger baseball game for a late night snack. We ordered several appetizers for the whole table and we must say it was all good. TV's were on so we were able to watch some sports as well. Overall great time.

This is such a nice restaurant. We dined on the rooftop, which has heat lamps for the days that are kind of cool. Our food was delicious. I ordered the brussels sprouts, the meatballs, and the truffle fries. My Bestie ordered the wings, mac & cheese, and Caesar salad. We both loved our meals. And the drinks were outstanding; just the right amount of kick and flavor. The customer service was excellent. I will definitely be back.

A nice spot to enjoy dinner on their outdoor rooftop patio on a cool SoCal evening. The aptly named "famous" Brussels Sprouts are a winner and a must have! They are easily shareable. We also loved the extra thick cut bacon that was blended in with the sprouts. Mains were the LBC Chicken Sandwich and I was drawn to the Bo Burger Royale. Pork belly with two beef patties, why wouldn't ya! The truffle aioli contributes to a great flavor balance. Our server was super friendly but prices were on the higher end. Overall though, it was a nice evening out.

I recently dined at this restaurant for a dual birthday celebration with coworkers visiting from out of town. Overall, the experience was positive, but there were a few notable downsides. **Positives:** The customer service was excellent. When I called to accommodate our large party, the staff was very helpful. Both the waiter and hostess were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was also quite good. My Old Fashioned was well-crafted, and we all loved the baked brie—definitely a highlight of the meal. Others in our group enjoyed the duck, mushroom ravioli, steak fries and mac 'n' cheese, and I tried them as well. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared. **Negatives:** However, the dining experience wasn't without its drawbacks. We were seated on the rooftop, which was extremely hot. I inquired about sitting downstairs, where we could have all fit at one table in a much cooler environment, but I was informed that seating downstairs wasn't an option. This was disappointing, especially since the downstairs area was beautifully designed and much more comfortable. Additionally, while the risotto was decent, it wasn't exactly what we expected. Three of us ordered it and were surprised by the very strong lemon flavor, which wasn't mentioned in the dish description. Lastly, the prices seemed a bit steep for the experience of sitting at a picnic table in the heat. In summary, while the food and service were commendable, the seating arrangements and unexpected flavors in certain dishes were disappointing, especially considering the prices.

Breakfast restaurant
The Coffee Cup Cafe is a bustling spot that has been a staple in the city since 1995. Known for its homestyle breakfast and lunch options, including vegetarian dishes, it's a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. The cafe is famous for its spicy chicken chile verde omelette, which has been a defining dish for decades. The mood of the kitchen determines the heat of the chile verde, creating an addicting combination with folded egg and melted cheese.
Great place for breakfast. I'm vacationing from out of town and I eat here every morning. The waitress, Cameron, is awesome too.

My partner and I were talking a stroll down our new neighborhood, and quite literally SMELLED the delicious food before seeing this place. It was almost cartoon-like the way we just followed our feet toward the warm buttery smell of a local diner. We probably got lucky since it was just two of us and spots were available at the counter right when we got in! We sat down, and were greeted right away with a smile and a fresh pot of coffee. Menu is extensive for such a cozy spot! Health is also highlighted in their menu..plenty of options to enhance the menu to your needs. My partner got the turkey omelette sub egg whites, and I got the French toast combo w/ a side of potatoes (10/10). The atmosphere is amazing, and we love businesses that highlight artists as well (you can scan under some of the art displayed to learn more). Service is friendly and efficient. When you walk-in, you get a sense that you’ve been there before. And that’s a very comforting feeling for a first timer (:

Ate here on a Friday morning. Had banana nut pancakes, a side of bacon and earl grey tea. Other patron had french toast with substitute links. Service was friendly. Cute place. Food was just OK to us. That's butter not whip cream on top of the bananas. $38 for decent portions.

Nice friendly place with good service. They sever vanilla coffee regularly. ☕️ had the ABC omelet and it was good. Parking is difficult.

Long overdue review here. Been coming as a local for about 5 years and this spot NEVER disappoints. The food is always full of flavor from burgers, to chorizo tacos, to the pancakes and scrambles. The fries have a great texture and the butter...yes the butter on the pancakes kicks it up a notch or 2. Even their salsas are delish. BUT what's really amazing is the staff! Everyone is so nice and kind. It really feels like a local family owned spot in a small town. And the staff seem to love working their as I have seen the same faces for years...there's even dishes named after a few. I would recommend this as the best breakfast / lunch cafe in Long Beach.
Mocha M — Google review
Food is portioned. I've had a heftier plate elsewhere. The food is okay. The pancakes are okay, not the fluffiest. They're charging .50 per egg based on the plate you've ordered so for example, I ordered the French Toast combo & it comes with 2 eggs & 2 Sausages or bacon. They charged an extra $1. They say it's due to the increasing price of eggs. Went when it was busy, was sat right away, but only got a refill on my coffee once-which was when I was already done with my food. Waiter passed by us so many times, but never checked in on us until we were done with our food. I'd say go spend $60 for two elsewhere, where the service is a tad better & food is much tastier-but that's just me 🤷‍♀️ Oh! They have 3 restrooms, which is a plus for when it gets packed
Natalie P — Google review
Small cafe in the area that is cash only and old school. I’ve been here on multiple occasions and it’s always a good standard breakfast place. The food is solid and has great prices. The thrills and tricks of brunch spots can always be fun, but if you are looking for a solid breakfast place and have some cash on you then you’re in luck. My recommendation is the pancake plate- sometimes chocolate chip pancakes are needed for adulting.
Melodie D — Google review
I love having Breakfast or Lunch at Coffee Cup on my days off. I've ordered Omelets, sandwiches, pancakes etc and haven't been disappointed. If you want to try something different, try the cream cheese french toast, you don't be disappointed. The coffee is delicious I can honestly say the best in Long Beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable environment.

The narrow space is adorned with TVs, creating a bustling setting perfect for enjoying food and drinks. The happy hour specials offer a variety of discounted dishes and beverages, making it an ideal spot to unwind after work or celebrate the end of the semester.
First of all out out to Logan. He was the most chill kind professional warm and welcoming server I’ve had in a while. Secondly we were a bigger group and some of the dishes were people “best ever”. I highly recommend this place! I love the location and 2nd street is really fun. All street parking or paid street parking. There is a bar side and a seating restaurant style side. The restaurant side is a bit more quiet and more about the food.

Went on a Wednesday night and it was still a vibe! They had a house DJ mixing pop, hip hop, Spanish music, and more. A really good mix made everyone get up and dance. Lots of seating for people and such an attentive staff picking up all trash and empty cups. I will say however the bar was a bit slow. (There were only two bartenders but it was a Wednesday). Special shout-out to Angel, he was so helpful helping a friend. I'd definitely go back on a weekend when they open up the other side of the bar for the dance floor.

This restaurant has the best food ever! The bean dip they give with the chips and salsa is incredible. The carne asada tacos were so flavorful and not dry at all, they had this really good sauce on them. My sister got the birria and it was amazing as well. Definitely would recommend coming here!

The food is excellent, and the service is on point. The have a few tables outside and seating inside. Can't go wrong either way but if you can get a table outside you are winning. The atmosphere is incredible and the vibe of Belmont Shore is very inviting. I had a meeting with a friend and he loved the spot so much he said he had to come back with his wife. Panxa Cocina is a trendy and inviting bar and eatery that serves up seasonal Mexican fusion dishes, top-shelf tequila, and weekend brunch. The restaurant's margarita menu showcases its Southwestern roots with a variety of unique flavors. From the Pom Pom Margarita with pomegranate juice and cinnamon agave to the spicy Margapeno with cucumber and jalapeno-infused tequila, there's something for every palate.
I had originally called the restaurant making a reservation for 11 on a Saturday morning which ended up dwindling down to a party of 6 with no issues. The restaurant was extremely accommodating and happy to serve us no matter how large or small our party ended up being. The food was delicious however some of the portions did seem rather small for the cost. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The cocktails were great and I’m bummed I didn’t get a picture. Overall great choice, would be back if I’m in the area

Charred queso Oaxaca with short ribs, and the New Mexican Pizza & the Nicholas Sage. The corn bread was amazing, hot, delicious and so buttery. The Charred queso with short ribs was good, definitely more filling than I expected. However, the new Mexican Pizza was not for me. It was very oily & heavy, I don't know how to describe it but I only had 1 piece and couldn't finish it (which is rare, I don't have issues with greasy food). The Nicholas sage was delicious! It tasted very much like bourbon but it was good, had a hard kick (I usually don't have bourbon). Out waiter was awesome, friendly and helpful. It's slightly pricey and there's a small parking lot or street parking. Plenty of seating inside , at the bar or also outside.

This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Every element was perfectly done, service, food, ambience, and drinks. I’ve only been the once, but if they’re consistently this good, this place deserves Michelin stars. We were a large group and everything was still flawlessly executed.

I want to start off by thanking my server Christina. A true professional, she knew the menu front to back , she new all the ingredients and she made my wife and fell at home, thank you Christina. I’m giving 5 stars for the overall hospitality and food quality and uniqueness, I did have some minor issues with two of my dishes , but it was all cancelled out by the others. I had such a great time and I can’t wait to return. This is what I ordered : Chips and dips - $12 – Comes with hatch green chile salsa, Guacamole, black bean puree, and House chips. Nice starter, really gets you in the mood for south western adventure your mouth is about to take. Duck Carnitas - $16 – Duck leg slow cooked to perfection might have been braised, not sure but the meat just fell off the bone, salsa macha, chimayo chilaquiles, and pickled onions. This was hands down my favorite dish of the night. Everything went together so well, and the chiaquiles weren’t soggy !! that’s a big deal for me. Green Chile Cornbread - $12 – Made with Hatch chile, and topped with whipped honey butter and honey. This was good but you need to eat it right away, which I did not do, by the time I got to it was hard as a rock. I did still eat it and it was great. I really loved the charred edges the most. Charred Purple Cabbage - $15 – Made with mixed greens, oregano vinaigrette, roasted tomato, goat cheese, apples and topped with a quarter cut of charred purple cabbage. So many amazing flavors, my only problem with this dish was that it was very hard to eat, I tried to cut the charred cabbage and proceeded to flick salad all over the table. But overall a very good salad. Caramelized Corn - $9 – Corn, Morita Aioli,  lime,  Cotija, Paprika . Classic and creamy, spicy and sweet. Mushroom Mole Enchiladas - $18 – Grilled garlic mushrooms, Queso Qaxaca, mole, Sesame Seeds, Radish. Very smooth and rich flavor from the mole, I always love a good mole. And lastly I got the dinner special, braised lamb shank in a birria consommé with rice to sop up all that tangy, smoky, juice, A true treat. I’m sure I am missing a bunch of ingredients and my description does not do this dish justice.

This place is really cool, trendy and friendly. The customer service is top notch and the food is to die for. We started off with the Ceviche, which was fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered a chicken salad that was good and healthy. Me on the other hand, ordered the stacked short rib enchiladas with the Christmas salsa (mixed red and green). The enchiladas were exquisite, full of flavor, and spicy but not too spicy. I accompanied my dish with a mango margarita. The perfect combo. Definitely a cool place to bring your date, friends for happy hour (bar area) or a dinner out with the family.

Nestled in the vibrant city of Long Beach, the Long Beach Antique Market is a monthly open-air flea market that takes place on the third Sunday of each month at the Veterans Stadium. This bustling event features over 800 vendors showcasing an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage clothing, collectibles, and unique decor items spread across 20 acres. It's a treasure trove for those who love to hunt for retro furniture or one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
This market is huge, I spent four hours there and I don't think I have managed to enter all the stalls. The big selling point for me is the vintage clothing, the quality and the variety is really high, but there are plenty of stalls that sell antique furniture, jewelry and more. Plenty of parking on site, there's a $10 entrance fee to be paid in cash. There are three little ATM machines outside the main entrance, but it costs $5 to withdraw money from there. Inside some merchants take digital payments, but it's always preferred to have cash, they mostly preferred that form of payment. Dogs are not allowed in the market.

Always love the flea! Very friendly vendors and good prices for home decor stuff, though many are just kind of selling junk so you have to have a good eye and know what you’re looking for. Not much haggling goes on, but as the day wraps up some are more motivated to sell. Be prepared for heat sun and bugs (some kind of Asian beetle was dive bombing everyone). Worth the drive from LA

We absolutely love coming here. They have it on the 3rd Sunday of every month. On occasions they have twice a month. They have a beer stand to keep you hydrated. Plenty of Food trucks are located outside. Though there are a lot fairly priced goods, all the booths vary. Bring plenty of water, there are 100's of vendors and there's lots to see.

Brought my mom here and we both had a pretty good time. The sun got a little hot so we left early but we had already bought some indoor plants (which she loves) and I got some cool jewelry I found cool!! We called it in early since the sun was pretty hot and we brought no water. Other than that we will be back next month :)

Great outdoor swap meet with plenty of available walking area for a good workout. Lots of vendors and an impressive offering of antique items for sale. Can be hot in the summer months so be prepared with drinking water/beverages and a hat.

What a great vintage flea market! I have to say the variety of sellers and items is amazing. Many of the sellers frequent the other flea markets in the So Cal area but this one is much easier to navigate. It's not too big, I did walk 5 miles but I went back a few times through the aisles. Some of the vendors are a little pricey but overall most are willing to negotiate if the price/item is right. Free parking and admission was cheap. You can park at the North or South end.
Shawn A — Google review
This is a huge antique market. I was not expecting it to be this big. So much stuff to look at, I observed a lot of people buying beautiful stuff, very unique items, so much fun. Admission is $10 per person. Parking is free and it's on a college campus parking lot, there are plenty of spaces. Take water and some snacks because there is no food there, and if you want to browse everything, you will get hungry. You can leave and come back just to make sure you get a stamp on the way out , so you can get in without paying another admission fee.

The Ordinarie Tavern is a cozy and inviting establishment that offers a delectable selection of American cuisine, complemented by an array of beverages including beer, wine, and cocktails. The tavern's renowned burgers have been taken to new heights by Executive Chef Shelbi Ulms, who has crafted a burger reminiscent of the iconic In N Out staple.
From start to finish, this place hit all the marks. First off: ambiance. The design is effortlessly cool without feeling pretentious. Moody lighting, interesting décor, and the vibe just works. You walk in knowing they paid attention to the little things. Service? Top notch. Attentive without hovering. Friendly without being fake. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Now, the food & drinks. Delicious. Inventive. Each plate felt like it had its own personality. Cocktails? Bold, balanced, and beautifully presented. Bonus points for live music- it added just the right energy without overpowering your conversation. If you’re in Long Beach and want somewhere to impress a date, hold a chill but elevated get-together, or just treat yourself — The Ordinarie belongs on your “must visit” list.

This place and its waitstaff are quirky and well intentioned. However, when ordering apps and entrees, instead of pacing the meal, EVERYTHING was delivered at the same time, leaving us rushed to finish a salad and then conquer our lukewarm entrees. Steak Frites lacked any flavor and had to drench in salt and pepper. Considering how quickly the food was cooked the steak was cold and had a big brick of cold garlic butter. Sadly wished for more.

The three of us made an early happy-hour pilgrimage to The Ordinarie, drawn by fun energy and bartender Sophia’s charm. The wings were spot-on—crispy, flavorful, and basically MVP of the night. Then came the blackened salmon… which arrived looking more ‘charcoal chic’ than ‘seared perfection.’ To their credit, they rescued it with a second attempt that redeemed the dish. The fries were solid sidekicks—golden and satisfying. Unfortunately, the taps weren’t cooperating, so we ended up with an okay IPA that got the job done. Early happy-hour scene? Pleasant and promising—though maybe things smooth out even more as the evening unfolds. All in all, a generally fine outing with a few hiccups, but enough fun and friendliness to make us want another round

The Bamboo Club is a laid-back tiki joint in Long Beach, offering outdoor seating and a diverse menu. It's known for its innovative fried chicken sandwich, featuring a unique brine infused with Thai tea leaves. This creates a creamy and familiar flavor without the sweetness of condensed milk. The bar celebrates Long Beach's love for tiki culture and drinks, reminiscent of the city's history with tiki concepts.
The go-to spot and top bar on my list in Long Beach! A dimly lit and atmospheric tiki bar (with a patio in the back) great for dinner with the family or a night out drinking. They have a large menu that’s very accommodating for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free modifications! Different events are hosted nearly everyday of the week including sick shows, be sure to check their event calendar ahead of time! Even on packed out nights I’ve never had an excessive wait time to get a drink at the bar but do keep in mind this place does get busy due to it’s popularity (rightfully so) If you’re planning to grab lunch or dinner reservations are HIGHLY recommended especially for large groups, wait times varies but can sometimes be a few hours during peak times

Novelty tiki bar that serves food from burgers to Hawaiian dishes. The food is delicious, but comes out of the kitchen a little too quickly. The inside of this tiki bar is dark and dinghy, with the patio needing a little more than some bamboo and a fountain to continue the tiki vibe. The drinks are what makes a tiki bar a tiki bar and they are great concoctions. We only wish that there was more liquid and less ice for the price. At about $17 per drink.. a glass full of ice that with the first sip empties 2/3 of the drink makes you question how much liquid is there. It felt like shots were bought and then poured into a glass full of crushed ice. The macaroni salad and peppers would be the two dishes to get and share at the table.

After you pay, they tell you there's a mandatory %18 gratuity because of the type of drinks and the "halloween" experience. 3. The bus boy who tried to take a drink i wasnt finished with was a jerk. I stopped him and asked for it back. He said, "its empty are you dead in the head." I said, "no there's at least my 18% gratuity in there." He stomped off then proceeded to complain about me and point to me amongst the staff. This bar is for a specific niche crowd. And despite it being a full on tiki bar, there seems to be an attitude about ordering the drinks and being able to finish them. Over this place.

This place was amazing, we went on a Saturday around 1pm. Honestly we didn’t know what to expect it was a bit dark when we went inside. Once we order our first drink it was game over. I got a Mai Tai and the Nina Fresa (10/10). The chicken sandwich however amazing that first bite that crunchiness was out of this world. My girl is not a big fan of Cold slaw and pickles and ate it all I was amazed. The Mac was a 7/10 not our favorite but still passed. We will definitely be back.

Mexican restaurant
Brunch restaurant
Cocktail bar
El Barrio Cantina, located on Retro Row, offers a modern take on traditional Mexican cuisine. Chef Ulises Pineda-Alfaro's dishes showcase a blend of flavors and textures that stay true to the essence of Mexican food. The menu features highlights such as carne asada-style ribeye with roasted tomato salsa, Peruvian scallops in spicy aguachile, and crispy fried potato tacos with crema and salsa verde.
This one is a bit of a diamond in the desert. Mainly because it's so difficult to get to. The area is local making it tough to find parking. But the food is amazing. Amazing. Cool paintings.

We came here for a friend's birthday. The food was a nice fusion Mexican style. However, we got the wrong order and had to argue with waiter that this was not what we ordered. So not impressed with Service. I came here before for events which were great and well organized. Bar service at those events was friendly.

A small but quaint speakeasy with fabulous drinks and food. The music was average…sometimes we’d be listening to some upbeat EDM vibe music and then all of sudden you’d hear hard core metal which wasn’t keeping with the theme. Service was decent but they were slow clearing plates and glassware. Plan extra time to find parking.

Found this place close to our AirBNB, and I'm SO glad we stopped by! We ordered street tacos, tostadas, and quesadillas. Our favorites were the street tacos-- the corn tortillas were excellent! Also got some tasty cocktails! Their Recession Menu (Happy Hour) had lots of great specials!

Very reasonably priced and located in the heart of Long Beach. Great service, good drinks, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a stop!

One of the best brunch experiences I've had. The food set a new standard of what I know is possible for breakfast. I will make El Barrio Cantina a regular stop next time I am in LA.

What an awesome find! We loved the vibe, decor, cool mural and the FOOD! My margarita was sooo good and a generous pour in all aspects. The potato tacos and marg happy hour set a great deal! The ribs and elote (corn) dish were beautifully presented and sooo yummy! We will be back when travelling through. Gracias!

Marlena Long Beach is a unique dining spot in Naples that seamlessly transitions from a cozy all-day cafe to an upscale dinner destination. The open-air dining room offers a perfect setting for enjoying morning cappuccinos and transforms into a lively wine-fueled clubhouse in the evenings, attracting locals and well-dressed patrons. The menu features impeccable dishes, including perfectly cooked meats with crispy exteriors and juicy interiors, phenomenal breads, gluten-free options reminiscent of Italy, and dairy-free choices.
We came here for dinner after a day at various places in Long Beach. Plenty of parking. Reservation was made online and we had no wait time at all. The resultant fees like it is semi-outdoors with plenty of coverage and heat lamps everywhere. Every dish was great and the desert was phenomenal. We had a great time. The grown up and the kids alike. Highly recommended.

I’ve been coming here for special occasions and date nights for a few years and it’s an amazing place! I usually make a reservation but when I haven’t the wait wasn’t too long. I always get the Spanish Octopus, the agnolotti (which changes with the season, the sweet corn is my favorite), the halibut, and the pork chop (which is also changes throughout the year). I had the duck here which was also amazing. I also highly recommend the burnt basque cheese cake for dessert. I really like how their menu will change throughout the year too so there’s always something new to try each time I come here.

Great place to go on a date night dinner. Amazing food, friendly vibes and attentive staff who took their time to make sure we had a good experience. My favorites were their Crispy Fried Cauliflower and Spicy Salami Pizza. It's the best cauliflower dish I have ever eaten. The Basque Cheesecake we shared at the end of our meal was delicious so was their Espresso Martini. Will be returning to this spot again. Highly recommend making a reservation as this place can get super busy.

By far the best chocolate croissant I had since I came back from France two years ago. The quality of the ingredient and the freshness (the pastry chef makes everything in the morning) made it exceptional. Coffee was perfect, as well as the atmosphere and service. I cannot wait to come here for dinner night.

We had such a lovely meal here! Perfect for a little date night or upscale meal with friends! The atmosphere was beautiful, the wine was ambrosial, + the food was delicious! I can highly recommend the oxtail pasta + the olive oil chocolate cake. The flavors were intentional + complex, but also hearty + comforting. Lauren was so intentional + smart with our wine pairings. The hosting and service was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. Thank you for a lovely birthday dinner for our friend!

My first time at Marlena, and let me tell you, this place truly delivered! Our server, Alec, had the most amazing personality and did a fantastic job recommending and describing everything on the menu. The cocktails were phenomenal, and the food was equally impressive. Here’s what we ordered: • Grilled Spanish Octopus: Tender to perfection, with flavors that were absolutely on point. • Crispy Fried Cauliflower: This was absolutely delicious and, in my opinion, a must-order! • Little Gem Salad: Their unique take on a Caesar salad—simple yet satisfying. • Pappardelle Oxtail Ragu: I couldn’t try this due to dietary restrictions, but it was rated a solid 7/10 by my dining companion. • Blue Oyster Mushroom Pizza (GF): OMG, I’m in love with this! It was absolutely perfect. • Prosciutto Pizza: My boyfriend thought it was good but felt it would’ve been better with more prosciutto. For dessert, we ordered: • Orange Fennel Olive Cake: Such a unique combination of flavors that worked beautifully together—phenomenal! • Burnt Basque Cheesecake: Creamy, rich, and simply divine. Overall, the ambiance, service, cocktails, food, and desserts were fantastic. The portions were just right—not too little, not too much. We will definitely be back, and next time, we’re excited to try brunch for a different vibe!

Guests have praised the overall dining experience, highlighting dishes like amberjack crudo with cucumber and grape as particularly refreshing. The staff is known for being attentive and friendly, while the cozy ambiance adds to the relaxing decor.
Such an amazing experience, I went two nights in a row! A reservation is definitely recommended, as this unique spot is small but the vibe is so lovely. Featuring such great farm to table ingredients and an experience, this was truly one of the best meals and wine selections I've ever had. Olive and Rose is definitely an amazing spot, highly suggested, and recommended! Staff work to learn your tastes and preferences, and we're so friendly and personal. It's not many that learn your name and wine preferences, offering what they remember the next night. Cannot wait to be back!

A perfect fine dining experience in Long Beach. Everything from the drinks and food, to the presentation and service, was immaculate. It is a small mid-century modern dining room in the former Century City Motel on 3rd Street in Long Beach, close to public parking. We enjoyed all the tastings, from the Crudo to the octopus to the bread with cultured butter, and the bass was also excellent. Another highlight was the Apple Tarte Tarin, which was divine with the Carmel and whipped cream. All the sauces and food tasted fresh and well-made. The prices are comparable to other date night and fine dining restaurants, so while high are expected and not out of the ordinary. There is also an outdoor seating area in the interior next to the pool, which is where the bathroom is (even the bathroom was kept very clean and we were pleased to see was also stocked with tampons). We would definitely go back and try some of the cocktails and mussels.

Incredible dining experience at the Olive and Rose for dinner. We walked in to a beautiful dining room and a warm greeting from the hostess. The atmosphere was so cute and I just want my home to be decorated the exact same. The real treat was the food, oh my goodness - the appetizers were delicious and incredibly fresh. For our entrees, we each got the chicken. It was seriously the best chicken I have ever had in my life. With the freshly foraged mushrooms and just with the chicken, I was honestly quite sad that it was over when my plate was cleaned. One person at our table said if it was appropriate to lick the plate clean, they would. To finish with dessert, the mint ice cream is so fresh - best mint ice cream I’ve ever had. Also, pair the food with a delicious “pretty and basic” cocktail, you are set for a perfect evening. Overall, couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. I wish I could rate them 10/5. They deserve it and I hope everyone gets to experience Olive and Rose!

Great new spot in Long Beach! Major MCM vibes, super cute vibe. Got last minute reservation, sat at the bar and it was really fun to watch the cooks. The fries were insane - the steak too but these fries... michelin star style fries. Great place to support and promote new local restaurants! They also do bagels in the AM, I haven't had them yet but plan on stopping by soon.

Refined casual ambiance, be aware it’s indoor but temperature will reflect whatever it is outside due to limited insulation and climate control.

This is an exceptional restaurant. I had a pasta with corn in the sauce and it was incredible. The texture was phenomenal and the kernels were crispy and fresh. We also had some of the drinks and they were all great. This restaurant also sits in a stylish boutique hotel. Highly recommend!

Exceptional food that reminds me of an elevated French cuisine. We went quiet after the first bite because everything we had was excellent. The ambiance was sweet, somehow reminiscent of Palm spring with the pool in the background. The service made us feel taken care of and was very helpful. I truly cannot wait to come back and try their other meals. The octopus was crispy and melted in our mouth. The combination of flavour of the porc chop with the fenel and peach was surprisingly mind blowing and the steak frites was a true classic. Marvelous.

Located in Shoreline Village, Long Beach, CA, Parkers' Lighthouse offers a relaxed atmosphere with mesquite-grilled seafood, sushi, and steaks. The restaurant features live music and an extensive wine list. Happy hour specials are available at the bar/lounge area on weekdays with discounted appetizers, drinks, and cocktails. The venue provides stunning views of the marina, Lions Lighthouse, and the Queen Mary across Queensway Bay.
First time here, and would definitely go back. The views from the patio are beautiful. The menu is varied, you can get some amazing seafood, steaks and even sushi if you want. I opted for the Seared Hokkaido Sea Scallops over Chive Cream-Poached Potato, Spinach, Bacon Lemon Vinaigrette, Radish Sprouts and my colleague went for the Day Boat Catch of the day with Garlic Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables. We added some garlic cheese bread and one had a cup of chowder. The scallops were seared nicely and tender. The fish dish nicely flaky and moist. We finished with the Warm Butter Cake with Strawberry Puree, Streusel Crumble, Vanilla Ice Cream (it was amazing!!) Would definitely recommend and will likely visit again.

The food here is very good! We also had a really good server, his name is Ben! I ordered warm crab dip, very good, and seafood linguine, also pretty good. She ordered a sampler dish that had sword fish, crab cake, vegetables, and potatoes, and she loved it! She also ordered an alcoholic drink, I don’t remember the name of it, I think part of the name was passion, but the drink had so much ice in it, she said she couldn’t taste any flavor. The drink was $17 I believe. So that is our only complaint. The staff was professional and friendly and the food was a 10, just not the drink. Also the outside is very pretty seeing all the boats everywhere. We will definitely visit again.

Fourth of July weekend Brunch was a great experience at Parker’s Lighthouse. This is such a beautiful and large restaurant, which allowed for us to be seated fairly quickly. The Hostess was very welcoming. We chose to sit out on the shady side facing the lighthouse. Our server Ella was great with explaining the menu highlights. Brunch was great. We walked around to view the restaurant which was immaculate and very well kept. Just simply a gorgeous location. Definitely one for the “favorites list”.

My wife and I come here whenever we are in the Long Beach area. We have always had an amazing experience at the restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere are outstanding. You can’t fault this place. Good value for money, great views, large patio, easy to get a table, friendly helpful staff and decent food. I had a poke bowl which came with miso soup and it was really good. The fish & chips is always good and reliably consistent every time I visit. Good selection of wines, beers and cocktails.

If you're in the area, Parkers' Lighthouse should be added as a stop. We came at happy hour and was seated inside next to the patio. The drinks were light and refreshing. We ordered chicken wings with the buffalo sauce on the side. The garlic cheese bread was buttery with a great cheese pull. My New England Clam was enjoyable and hearty. I did have to add pepper for more seasoning. Our entrees were not from the happy hour menu. Thanks to the chef for letting us order full entrees. Delicious Seafood Linguine full of clams and scallops. The linguine tossed in garlic, herbs, and butter was amazing. Although my husband's Bone-in Ribeye was ordered medium, it was cooked well done. He enjoyed the flavor, just wished it wasn't overcooked.

This was a welcome respite on our walk from the Queen Mary to our Residence Inn hotel. They were welcoming, the service was excellent by the whole staff. I think there were about eight people who took care of us but Alfonso was our main waiter. We were dressed casually but no issues there. We were seated outside right near the big fireplace and had fantastic views of the Queen Mary and Long Beach harbor. The burger was a little over cooked for medium but the toppings were creative and delicious and we loved the fries. We had the watermelon margarita and house margarita, both were tasty but the Modelo was our favorite. Just a fantastic experience overall, highly recommend.

It was a semi-cloudy Wednesday around 3pm. Only 2 tables sat and 3 servers and bartender. We wanted to sit outside and they wouldn’t let us because “it could rain any minute”. We said we can order at the bar and accept the risk for rain. We were just ordering drinks and maybe an appetiser. We were told that its wet and a hazard to servers. As you can see in the photos, it wasnt wet. Once the server stopped listing every excuse, we took a table inside. We ordered one appetiser and were given two and their mistake wasnt even comped off our bill. Food and drink were so overpriced for the lack of experience we received. 10 mins into our experience, TWO GUYS GOT BEERS AND WENT AND SAT OUTSIDE. Photo attached. Sun was shining. We werent offered to move outside. We were celebrating a birthday too. For someone who has worked many years in hospitality as a supervisor and server, it was one of the worst experiences ive ever encountered. We werent greeted when we arrived or thanked when we left. To top it off, for two people, 3 drinks and 2 appetisers (one we didnt order) we had to pay 15% service charge on our bill! The staff was not entitled to receive a tip under any circumstances. Never going back, never recommending.

Came for Mother’s Day breakfast and what a beautiful view! Excited to have sat close to the water and see the Queen Mary. Unfortunately service and food were a bit lacking. We arrived at 9am for our reservation and were promptly seated. However after ordering waited almost 50 minutes before food came out. Our Guac + Salsa came out after the food and was a bit disappointing for the price. We got the eggs Benedict, which came with the yolks set and bread soggy. My eggs came well cooked after asking for medium over. On top of that, I think the 20% added gratuity was a bit high for a party of two.

We stayed longer then expected paid 5$ Food was really good I got the filet mignon was $55. My dad got the short rib I believe tacos around $35. My sister and my mom got the salmon dish. It was $35 and we also got Brussels sprouts. were really really good. (I love them so highly recommended if you do too). The dessert they had was really good. Was celebrating my mom birthday and all of our birthday for sept. Since. We haven’t seen each other for a long time. The server was nice but we told her it was all of your birthday but she didn’t believe us 🥹 The view was amazing and beautiful. Highly recommend taking your family here or work dinner. Boathouse on the Bay is an upscale bar and eatery located on Alamitos Bay in Los Angeles. The restaurant offers stunning water views and a serene ambiance, allowing diners to enjoy fresh seafood and succulent prime steaks while overlooking the peaceful Pacific. Guests can experience al fresco dining with sailing lofts ambiance as they cool off on the grand deck with fresh breezes from the picturesque horizon. The restaurant features live music five nights a week, adding to its relaxed atmosphere.
Dining at The Boathouse on the Bay was a wonderful experience. The restaurant’s setting is stunning—waterfront views that make you want to linger long after the meal. It’s the kind of place that feels both elevated and relaxed, perfect for a special night out. The food held up beautifully to the atmosphere: • Lobster Mac and Cheese (9/10): rich, creamy, and indulgent with fresh lobster throughout. The flavors balanced well without being overly heavy. • Caramelized Brussels Sprouts (10/10): perfectly roasted with a slight crisp, sweet yet savory, easily one of the highlights of the meal. • Boathouse Wagyu Burger (8.5/10): the quality of the meat stood out—juicy, well-seasoned, and served hot. While the burger itself was excellent, the fries felt a bit underwhelming in comparison and didn’t add much to the dish. The atmosphere was enhanced by a live band playing timeless classics, which made the dining experience feel even more special and memorable. Paired with the waterfront views, it created a relaxed yet elevated vibe that’s hard to beat. Beyond the food and music, the service was attentive and welcoming, making the entire evening seamless. Watching the sunset over the water while enjoying good food and live music is something I’d highly recommend. This is a place you come for both the flavors and the atmosphere, and it delivers on both.

I wanted to love this place, but the service and upkeep missed the mark. The vibe is very casual and it's not the cleanest place. Someone said the crowd is trendy and I disagree, but the views are nice. I had the seabass and it was delicious, but slow. Unfortunately, our waitress really did not care to help us at all and this was probably the biggest disappointment. I had to ask someone for silverware and later I went to the bar myself for water because our waitress vanished until we eventually were able to flag her down to pay and leave.

This is a relaxing by the shore restaurant. This restaurant has some of the most beautiful views of the water and amazing sunsets. Haley was our server. The food was delicious and served with a proper portion. The cocktails 🍹 were also mixed well and not over priced. They also have an awesome happy hour from 4pm to 6pm. Service was fast and Parking is free. This is a trendy crowd. This is a great date night restaurant or to come watch a game. TV’s are visible from the patio area. The patio has heaters as well at a fire pit area. There is a neat area with neon signs for a picture perfect photo.

Ordered their fish and chips, standard middle of the road fish and chips. Nothing bad and doesn’t stand out. Also got their lemon drop roll, that was pretty tasty. For a Wednesday evening their patio was packed and very noisy. Great view of the marina.

Amazing place to celebrate! 🎉 Cozy patio, great vibe with live music, and we caught happy hour with delicious Passion Fruit Margaritas 🍹. The food was outstanding — from clam chowder to lobster tail pasta — and they even surprised us with a cheesecake for the birthday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
LILIANA M — Google review
We had a reservation for 4 on Friday evening. We were sat right away on a booth closest to the water. Our server Jeff came right away and took our drink order. The $17 margaritas were just ok, nothing out of this world. The $24 calamari were almost burnt and the portion not worth it. It seems like the oil needs to be changed in the deep fryer. Our food was decent but a nice hot salsa would compliment the fish tacos a lot better than Tapatio or Pico de gallo. The cinnamon cheesecake was OK, a little too sweet and very expensive. The experience was OK overall but the price for what they are serving is just too much. We won't be rushing back any time soon. Maybe to check out happy hour with the deals. Where a margarita is $10 instead of $17. I do have to admit the location is nice but charge what you want but give the customer something worth your charge. Just my thoughts...

So many people eating here… and a nice place. Their free sour bread appetizers are good… we ordered fish and chips for tita rose and tito jeff, club sandwich for aron and i ordered their black taco. The ambiance is great and by the sea… but the noise was a bit loud and hard time hearing each other. They have clean rest rooms.

My boyfriend and I were here recently. I wanted to take him somewhere really nice for his birthday. Everything was great, except his Alaskan King Crab dinner. It came with one claw "cut in half" garlic mashed potatoes, with vegetables. The Crab was over steamed, and the cost was $95.00 for such a "small portion". It wasn't enough to even share his crab. He still wanted me to taste it. I ordered the fish and chips, and my portion size was sharable! That was really good, along with the clam chowder. His dinner was disappointing being overcooked, and I felt overcharged. There was a live band and a wonderful view.

Rosie's Dog Beach is a 4-acre off-leash beach in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, where dogs can run and play freely. This dog-friendly paradise is part of the pet-centric offerings in Long Beach, which includes pet-friendly hotels, restaurants, parks, and trails for on-leash walks. Established nearly two decades ago by Justin Rudd, founder of Haute Dogs, this non-fenced beach was officially named after Rosie the Bulldog in 2010.
Love coming to this beach! My dog loves the sand. People seem friendly and we haven’t come across any aggressive dogs. Lots of space for a dog to run and play. They also have a place you can clean your dog off after! The dog paw lifeguard station is super cute!!

Not a bad place, paid parking but it's super close to the bar and dog beach. The food wasn't bad, the plating was beautiful. Wish the french toast were fluffy they seemed a Lil too healthy 😅. The salmon burger looked good. We went for breakfast no one was really there which is fine for us. Our dog loved it smelled everywhere had her ice cream snack with a smile. The owner super friendly.

1 if not the best dog beach for all types of owners. Extremely large beach that has so many volleyball courts and a place you and all your loved ones can enjoy. I definitely highly recommend this place to any dog lovers owners. Update: This location has dozens of volleyball court and the parking lot is sooooo huge you can literally park anywhere. If someone's saying that you have to circle to find parking then that's just a lie, the parking can fit nearly hundreds of cars. And when we go, we dont see any poop unless you may have come across a bad area to whom I can't defend. But all in all the beach is clean everytime we went. There maybe other areas I haven't been, but we usually stay near the convenience store/drink area. So again all in all really good and clean for the most part.

Cool place to take your dog to and let them run around. Be sure to pick up after your own pet. There are some dogs that don't like to be approached and having other dogs in your faces so be mindful. There's also a cafe on the beach for you and your doggo.

Rosie’s Dog Beach is a wonderful time. Lots of easy parking. People with dogs are especially friendly and there are lots and lots of wet and sandy dogs having a joyous time frolicking in the waves and chasing each other. When it’s hot in LA it is deliciously cooler by the sea. Highly recommend!

Nice beach area for the dogs. I kept my dog on a leash because I like to keep him close and he doesn't like dogs who approach too aggressively. Some owners lose track of their dogs, by allowing them to roam all over the beach. That's fine, I just would like an assist if my dog isn't "feeling" your dog. It is close to a bike trail, so if your pup is more interested in chasing than playing in the water, you might have an issue. Lots of parking in a paid lot or on the street.

Love to take my 2 pups to Rosie's dog beach. It is the one place I feel comfortable letting my cattle dog loose to run free. The designated area is not very long but that's okay, just having water and sand is good enough. Length about 5 football fields give or take. Bruxie is near by if your looking for a good bite to eat and dog friendly. Also have a little snack shack on Rosie's beach offering snacks for pups and food for humans too, is a bit pricey though. Parking is easy. I recommend downloading parking app Passport, alot easier than using machine to pay. Video was a pug meet up on beach.

Enjoyable, definitely a good place to take your dog for some R&R. The beach is kind of small, but it’s big enough to let your dog run around off leash. It’s clean which I really like and are dog bags available to pick up after your dog. It required to leave your dog on a leash and until you get to the dog zone. Restrooms nearby and parking is $.50 per 15 minutes ($2 per hour).

Lola's Mexican Cuisine- 4th Street is a vibrant and festive restaurant that offers delicious, home-cooked Mexican dishes such as tacos and flautas, along with refreshing sangria and beer. The restaurant has a rich history, with matriarch Lola introducing Long Beach to birria long before it gained popularity. Owner and chef Luis Navarro takes pride in the restaurant's growth while preserving treasured family recipes like their famous green salsa.
Came here after enjoying Long Beach Pride, and it was a great random pick!! This place is not too big or small, just right. It has a mellow vibe and great service! The food was very fresh, and flavorful! Also great and fresh margaritas! I recommend the spicy watermelon margarita!!!

We live pretty close to Lola's and have been wanting to try it, so Saturday morning, we rolled up with no wait, smiling faces, with a flavorful secret waiting to be shared. The food was fresh and fragrant, perfectly wrapped around spice for the wholesome mexican bite. The salsa was very memorable. It had soul-bright, smokey, and made with love. Our server had the best dimples and smile that was intoxicating, and she didn't just serve the food. She served us with comfort and familiarity. Can't wait to try more.

Was in town last month and didn't have time to try them out, but I'm back and we went in for lunch. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes. I had the chile verde burrito and it really hit the spot. Their moles are also really good. Great spot to come back to.

I loved this place. We went for brunch and were able to make reservations faily easy, no wait. We sat promptly and offered indoor or outdoor seating. Our server Paola was very friendly and provided great service. Our food came out faster than I would have thought. It was all so so good! I had their Mexican French Toast, and my friend had the Mexican Eggs Benedict, both delicious. And the cold brew with Horchata? amazing, too. I will definitely be back.

Wow!! I’m so blown away. We came here in a whim since we were in the area and wanted chips and salsa. We sat on the patio and it was absolutely stunning weather. We ordered from the happy hour menu which was delicious and the chips and salsa were so fresh and just well done. They serve two salsas which bring incredible balance to the experience. A creamy avocado salsa that the locals “crack salsa” and a more acidic and bright roasted salsa. The chips are airy and warm. The Birria Queso Fondido is incredible. Shoutout to May, our server. Super friendly, attentive, and just so sweet. Cannot recommend enough!!

Food was so good! We sat in the outdoor patio and it was dog friendly. Get the carnitas plate and spicy margarita you won’t regret it :)

$227 for 6 people! The food is really good 🤤. Parking is only street parking so it's kinda hard to find a spot. All the employees were really welcoming helpful and nice. No attitude and they kept checking on us. We got helped and seated right away. It gets busy but we didn't wait too long for our food. My kids had the queso birria tacos and they really enjoyed them. My mother tried the Chile Verde Oaxaca style. My brother had the birria plate. He really liked it a lot. My dad had the birria enchiladas. I told him it stated this place was authentic to his town Guadalajara Jalisco so he was disappointed when he found out the birria was a mixture of pork and veal. Not goat meat. I had some delicious chicken tacos. I tried their pineapple tamarind margarita and it was good! will definitely return. Restrooms are available.

Lovely vegan options, clearly labeled! <3 I got the vegan enchiladas and they were so filling and tasty. The side of black beans and rice held up to my scrutiny, lol, very yummy. And lovely covered outdoor seating, too. Lola's does use imitation meats instead of, say, relying solely on something like black beans for protein — which I personally am fine with, but I know some do not prefer imitation meats.

I had a delightful time at brunch with a group of perhaps 40+ ladies. We had reserved their private room & really enjoyed fun fellowshipping together. The view was lovely & and the brunch choices were varied & very tasty. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

I so appreciated the dog menu and dog friendly patio. I asked about a gluten free menu, they don’t have one and didn’t know what was safe. Despite that we stayed to sit outside for our dogs. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the dog burgers. However, they brought the dogs scalding hot burgers, which thankfully we picked up before they ate them. My hubby’s tuna sandwich was decent, but the Cobb salad was a joke! Iceberg lettuce, icky chicken and pretty blah for $25! Over prices for what you get, but the service was ok

Great lunch by the water. Waitress was very nice. Not crowded since we were there for lunch on a Thursday. Seems like this would be a night spot. Food was delicious. My reuben and onion rings were some the best I've ever had!! The fish and chips were great, too. Highly recommend!

Ambiance: beautiful view from the inside, decor was a little old and wasn't really busy for a happy hour but overall I liked it inside. Service: Our server was decent. I had to look for her a few times, but she seemed to be the only one on the floor at the time, so it wasn't bad. Food: I'm still thinking about the zucchini. It was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked! Loaded fries and wings were delicious as well. Menu had a lot to offer... enjoyed it thoroughly. Parking was kind of annoying

Attending a 60th birthday party here for brunch was a blast! Our server Brianna did a fantastic job even though she’s the only one assigned for the whole with help from others, well deserving appreciation for consistency! Food choices are wonderful, well tended stations. Ambiance? What can I say when you’re right on the water by the marina.

Highly recommended restaurant! I was surprised by the staff, quick service, very tasty flavor in every serve. No waiting line to enter, prices really good and vey nice atmosphere. We will be back for sure. Kidos liked their plates and also Did I. Enough parking spaces in front. Enjoy your visit!

If you are looking for a great brunch buffet, this is the place. Drinks are included which was amazing. Not mimosas, of course, but they are available for an additional purchase. We’ve been trying to get here for a while and we finally had a chance and it did not disappoint. The views were great, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Brunch buffet is from 9 am to 2 pm. Everything was delicious and we will be back.

On June 21st there was a party of 22 of us that went here for dinner. When we walked in we were the only people there except for maybe a couple of people at the bar. We all ordered our food and as time went on it got busier. The food was taking forever to come out but everyone in our party got their food.....except for my family. We were sitting there, and sitting there, and sitting there. We noticed that other tables that had come in after us were also getting their food. After almost an hour of waiting, the waitress comes over and tells us "your food will be out shortly." After waiting another 20-30 mins and still seeing other tables get their food, I told the waitress to cancel our order and that we had been waiting over an hour for our food. By that point we had only had a water, my husband ordered a beer and my son had a soda. When I told the waitress to cancel our order She wasn't apologetic or anything. We were all ready to leave and people in our party were paying their bills. The waitress handed me a $9.59 bill for the beer and the soda we had ordered. I handed it back to her and told her I wasn't paying for it. Usually I'm a pretty understanding, patient person, especially when I know a restaurant is busy and we have a large party. But when we ordered there was no one in the restaurant, when other tables that came in after us were getting their food while we were still waiting for ours, and the waitress was not sympathetic to what was going on and handed me a bill, I was done. I will never go back there ever again.

Phnom Penh Noodle Shack is a well-established noodle house in Long Beach, known for serving hearty portions of authentic Cambodian cuisine. The restaurant, run by the second generation of the Tan family since 1985, has gained popularity among locals and has been featured in various publications. Their specialty lies in customizable breakfast soups with different types of noodles and pork broth. The menu also includes a house special featuring multiple cuts of pork and shrimp, offering a nuanced flavor profile.
Authentic Cambodian spot that is a staple in the community. This restaurant has been around since my partner was a kid, and it is nice to hear that they have been here for so long. They offer great and affordable prices on huge portions. I particularly had the Mo special with the broth on the side. The spareribs that is in the broth is so tender that the meat falls off the both with just a poke. The noodles is soft and mixes well with the proteins. The flavor is on point and better than I had anywhere else. The staff are very friendly, and the kitchen moves really fast. We waited just a few minutes for a table and a few minutes for our food after we ordered. Looking forward to coming back when I am in Long Beach!

First time trying Cambodian noodles, thanks to a local friend’s recommendation. The place has a cozy vibe — packed with Cambodian locals even during a late weekday lunch, which says a lot. We ordered the house special noodles, which come with a bowl of flavorful broth and a big bone on the side, plus the tomato noodle soup. Both were delicious. I especially loved the liver in the house special — wish I had asked for extra. Both soups were completely new flavors to me, but I enjoyed them both. Prices are very affordable, especially for how much food you get.

PhnomPenh Noodle Shack 🫵🏻🫵🏻is hands down the best noodle spot I’ve had in America! If you’re a fan of bold flavors, hearty portions, and comforting soup dishes — this place is a must-visit. The bowls are huge — seriously generous portions loaded with noodles, a variety of meats, and rich, flavorful soup. Every bite is satisfying and packed with authentic Cambodian flavor. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you full, happy, and already thinking about your next visit. Beyond the food, the vibe is awesome — casual, welcoming, and full of character. There’s great background music, the energy is relaxed, and the staff are super friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. It’s also very cost-effective — you get incredible quality and a massive portion for a very fair price. It’s rare to find a place that offers such great value while still delivering top-tier flavor and service.

The food was absolutely amazing!! the staff was very patient and explained all the condiments and the menu items to us as it was our first time. I would highly recommend the beef and meatball with thick rice noodles. The broth was really flavorful and all the sauces available tasted great.

Breakfast and lunch menu This place is small and busy but the flavors are there and the quality is great! Everyone we're in Cambodia town, we try new spots to try. I'm glad we found this before they got packed. Waiting list is outside and the lines get long but it's worth it. The khatiev broth is clean, crisp and light. The noodles are cooked perfectly.
Christi M — Google review
This is comfort food. Every time I go I order the tomato beef stew with thick noodles. I sometimes get the standard Thai tea with meals. The only downside is that the place is so popular that there might be a wait to get seated. This is my go-to restaurant when family and friends visit Long Beach.
Loren J — Google review
You have such good food. Fresh ingredients! Honestly I have been eating Thai food since the late 70s. Cambodia and Thai food are like sisters. I drive 40 minutes to eat your food. Please keep up the great restaurant food and hey please open up a restaurant in the South Bay!

We ordered their special dry noodle, but unfortunately, it was too sweet for our taste, and the noodles were overcooked. The restaurant's location in a poor neighborhood and has no parking, made street parking a challenge.

The 4th Horseman is a unique pizzeria in Long Beach that offers craft beer, wine, and specialty pizzas in an offbeat setting with a dark, dystopian theme. The local owners are deeply committed to the restaurant's success and have brought on Chef Mike Royal, whose love for metal music and carbs has elevated the menu to new heights. The unexpected calzone has become a standout item among their already impressive selection of pies.
Wow! I heard from multiple people that this is the best pizza in Long Beach. I am a pizza aficionado, so I was sceptical. Slices! They serve slices! First of all, it was such a badass atmosphere. So much cool stuff to look at! I received excellent service by two guys, one is the actual owner! The pizza crust was crispy, airy, light, and perfect. Best crust I have ever had, ever! The sauce was perfect, I could taste the basil and garlic, and freshness! And a perfect cheese pull! A++++ This place exceeded my expectations, can't wait to return!

Great spot for horror and spooky fans alongside metal music lovers, they have a great selection of beers on tap. Has an awesome indoor atmosphere that’s dark and lit by various red/blue lighting that gives it a dark vibe which is pretty cool! Ordered online the slasher( pepperoni) and garlic knotts, which were extra garlic which I love! The pepperoni pizza was a little too much on the oily side but still enjoyable! Overall it’s a good spot to go to and hang out and have a couple beers and share a pizza 🤘🏻 love the box art super sick

My husband and I drove here all the way from Riverside to check out this pizza joint. We had a date night and throughly enjoyed our experience. The highlights of the restaurant: 1. Kid free- yes please! 2. The garlic knots were to die for! 3. The horror and metal decor were awesome. 4. Mini arcade with classic games. The staff are super chill too. If we’re ever in Long Beach again, we know where to go for a dope atmosphere and delicious food!

The door says “Pizza Beer Horror Metal” so don’t say you weren’t warned. Bride of Chucky was playing when I sat down. The kitchen was closed when I arrived around 10pm but pizza was still available by the slice. The pizza was generally average. The crust was thin but a bit tough. Each slice was quite large though, so that was cool.
Brad M — Google review
I had a slice of cheese and it was larger than your typical slice. I also had the garlic knots, and unfortunately they seemed undercooked in the middle. Cool vibe, nice service. Not sure where you park; their website says there are two places within a block where you can park for free for one hour, but maybe they could say where?

Finally got a chance to check out The 4th Horseman (4th & Pacific, Long Beach) — and I’m officially obsessed. Easily my new favorite pizza and beer spot in LBC. We had: 🍕 Captain Spudling – Bacon, cheddar, tater tots, mozzarella, sour cream
🍕 White Zombie – House-made white sauce, spinach, mozzarella, fresh garlic, olive oil Both pizzas were loaded with flavor and super unique. The Captain Spudling was like comfort food meets pizza perfection, and the White Zombie had the perfect garlic kick. For drinks:
🍺 Citrus Squall – Dogfish Head (citrusy, refreshing)
🍺 Hemogoblin Nitro Red Ale – A smooth collab between Altamont & The 4th Horseman The beer selection is legit and pairs well with the food. The vibe is spooky, artsy, and fun — a total hidden gem if you like horror-themed spots with great taste. Can’t wait to go back!
Bev L — Google review
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the irresistible aroma of fresh sourdough baking in the oven. I ordered the Rosemary’s Baby pizza and the Cheezy Knotz. The pizza was outstanding—savory sausage, melty cheese, and flavorful sauce all dancing together on a perfectly crisp sourdough crust. It went down easy without feeling heavy. The Cheezy Knotz, however, didn’t quite meet my expectations. The cheese was tasty, but the dough felt like it was missing something—perhaps a hit of garlic—to really make it pop. That said, the overall experience was fantastic. Between the delicious pizza, great beer selection, and laid-back 80s/90s & horror movie vibes, this place is definitely worth a visit. P.S. They say there’s a possessed doll here… you’ll have to see for yourself! 🤔👻

Garlic knots we're great very garlicky, had the white zombie pizza it was excellent!! Only complaint they only have beer and wine, wish they had a full bar menu. Great service bartender was awesome. The decor and music was very dystopian themed after the 4th horseman - Death. Sorry, didn't realize I only hit 4 stars this is a definite 5 star loved the pizza!!!

Had the pleasure of experiencing this getaway yesterday with friends. Our gondoliers, think he was Kyle was very informed on the canals and history. Pointed out interesting and historic homes. He grew up here and loves his job and singing. We went with a group and all the gondolas stopped under a bridge to sing, amazing experience! Kyle sang Frank Sinatra. Another gondolier sang Santa Lucia! You can bring food and beverages. Don’t miss this fun day or evening experience! 55 min ride around the islands and canals with entertainment! Great vibe! Thanks gondoliers!

This is about their restaurant next door. We dined here on July 12th around 6 PM. The waitress with black hair, who was serving the table near the door (between both entrances), stole from us. She said she could only do three separate tabs. I had two items, which she charged to my cousin’s tab. When, she saw I had cash, she claimed my cousin hadn’t paid and charged me again. Once we got home, my cousin asked for the cash to cover my items, only to realize she had already paid for them. We were charged twice for the same items, and the waitress pocketed the cash. She also never gave me or my cousin a receipt. From now on, I’ll always make sure to get one. This is ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I’m beyond angry and will never return. If anyone mentions having a birthday or event here, which happens often, I’ll make sure they hear about this experience in hopes they’d change their mind. Regardless, I won’t be back. That waitress is a thief. I want my money back!

we were barhopping and we ended up going to agave to have a bridal shower for my sister so she went to the restroom after that the security saw her and told her she was already too drunk to go outside in the patio and stay there, but she said she had other people we were looking for her. They never told us what she was that she ended up in the hospital. I don't know. They stole her purse. She fell or something. They never helped her. Be careful with the security and the whole place there. Be careful and don't get lost. I don't know if they put something in the drinks, but we blank out.

Husband was charged a $58 tip instead of $4 that he wrote on the bill. Called several times and left message (their contact number is only an answering machine) finally received a text back (not a call!) from Tim, he said mgmt would reach out to us. This has been going on for a couple of weeks have left more messages and have not heard from anyone. Their customer service is obviously unimportant and they could care less. We live in San Diego but if we were close I would have taken care of this in person!!! I am going to pursue other options so they don’t get away with this for my sake and future customers. This is robbery!
