Sports bar
Restaurant
Legends Restaurant & Sports Bar is a beloved establishment in Long Beach, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and dedication to sports. As the first sports bar in the nation to install a satellite dish, it has paved the way for fans to enjoy games from around the globe. This lively venue boasts an impressive array of over 30 TVs, ensuring that every corner is perfect for catching your favorite teams in action.
great place to watch any sporting event or just hang out with friends! service was excellent. they were very attentive and took care of us! parking is metered on the streets but only from 7am-7pm. there's also a metered parking lot in the back of the strip.

Came on a Wednesday evening just after 6pm with my 5 year old son (he chose the restaurant lol) From the moment we walked in we were greeted and could feel the great atmosphere and vibes from the staff who all seemed to be happy to be here, we felt like family as we were seated by Blake. I was definitely pleasantly surprised when she told me kids eat free on Wednesdays! I ordered from "The Craft Beer-BQ" menu where they pair a "beer of the night" with a BBQ type dish of your choice (4 to choose from) Our food was delicious, the entire staff was friendly and helpful, the TVs are all showing sports games, and the atmosphere is great! A must try for drinks and or just dinner alone!

OMG! Best damn Fish & Chips ever! Thin batter, large fish filet and chose to do the tots as chips instead of fries and simply amazing. Great atmosphere, TV’s everywhere, service is on point from door to seat. Super quick and friendly staff and servers and Tons of beer selections. You want Fish and Chips and in this area, don’t hesitate, get yourself there. Plenty of other great selections of food to choose from, I’m just a big fish guy. Slaw is fantastic as well!
Randal P — Google review
I'm not coming to legends anymore on Saturday for college football. I came today and they played LOUD music instead of the football game. I didn't pay for an overpriced hamburger and fries so I could hear loud music while I watched football without the game audio. When I watch a football game I want to hear the football sports casters. I want what I'm hearing to correlate with what I see on the TV in front of me. Not much to ask. And another thing. There was a weather delay for the USC Purdue game. Ok... So put on another game! Legends why did you keep the USC Purdue game on the main screen with a weather delay! Why are you treating your customers like this!
Daniel G — Google review
We came from Canada and our server Hanna was absolutely AMAZING! The food was great and the drinks come fast. From the moment we walked into the Bar we were greeted with kindness and a smile. She made our experience top notch. I highly recommend this place and definitely will come back!
Roxanne H — Google review
If it's a sports bar, you covet look no further than Legends. We snuck in a bellied up to the bar during quiet time on a Tuesday afternoon. Seemed everyone knows each other and to say the place is dog friendly is an understatement. If it's not a tv or a giant pull-down screen on the wall, then it's sports memorabilia consuming every square inch of space in this massive restaurant. How does one amass such a collection. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our beer was ice cold, and the Cajun chicken sandwich w/fries and house salad we shared was top notch. We would love to come back when this place is rockin, we are told it's "Legendary".
Jeff M — Google review
Nothing wrong with Legends. If you are drinking with friends, or watching a game, it will be that much better. For me, stopping in with my young daughter, we liked it, but we won't run back. The menu has plenty of options I would term typical of a bar/pub style restaurant. There are lots of choices on second street and I debated between three and four stars. WARNING for patrons sensitive to loud environments.
Shawn B — Google review
Long Beach's very own, "Legends Sports Bar!" My family and I have been coming here for over 6 years! Fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, bacon wrapped jalapeño, wings, beer, cocktails, etc. We have been through the menu and back! Great service, awesome staff and most importantly, ALWAYS A GREAT TIME!! 🙌🏼 Sports and Legends Sports Bar is always a match! Absolute Perfection!! 𝗟𝗕𝗖🤙🏼

New American restaurant
Bar
Saint & Second is a trendy eatery in Long Beach, California that offers a laid-back atmosphere and an array of American dishes such as burgers and flatbreads, complemented by classic cocktails. The restaurant prides itself on serving locally-sourced seasonal cuisine and organic cocktails. Some of the popular menu items include Natural Fillet Mignon, Bison Short Rib, Alaskan Halibut, and the Chartuccerie Board for 2.
We got here kind of late so I was surprised at how much seating was available. The staff were very friendly, and helped us decide what to pick from the menu and didn’t steer us wrong on any suggestions. We chose to sit outside but the indoor seating seemed very nice. They have shades and everything for outside and offered to turn on the heat for us, being that it was at night. The food was amazing. My wife got some sort of salad and she loved it! I got the burger of course and it was excellent. That desert thing was a suggestion and was pretty good as well. This place is definitely expensive, and that’s saying something for 2nd street, but it was worth it. Take your girl here when you get that tax return!
Jordan B — Google review
The place is very nice and clean. The food is okay, nothing extraordinary and the portions are very small. There are no refills for sodas and juices, nor is there any complimentary bread. There was no line at the reception, there were several empty tables and the receptionist took more than 15 minutes to seat us at a table (I thought it was strange). The waiter seemed to be overwhelmed, having to serve 3 tables and putting on a show with the smoke from one of the dishes that took over the entire restaurant. I thought it was expensive and overrated.
Danny_Santos_br — Google review
Parking can be challenging. Street parking in a busy area. Paid to free street parking. There is upstairs seating. They take reservations. Not sure if they have gluten free options. Food is on the expensive side. Good service. Clean restroom. The desert tends to be on the very sweet side.
B W — Google review
Long Beach Location...Last night, I chose this place for my last dinner in Cali because of the reviews. From the moment we walked in the male host was AMAZING! We chose to sit upstairs, the atmosphere was great. Our waiter Sagan was nice and informative. After going over what type of cocktail I like, he suggested the Matchi Colada....THE BEST THING I HAD AT THE RESTAURANT. Now to the food....I was not impressed and it didn't live up to the hype of the reviews. First dish: Mac & Shrooms, I thought this was going to be great because I love mushrooms...well the taste was bland and it had a watery texture (not creamy at all). Second: crab cakes, they were sweet and there was a lot of bread filling, it was NOT crab forward at all. The sauce under the crab cakes tasted sweet as well. Did not like the taste. The last of my order was the truffle fries that was fried in duck fat, the concept was on the menu looked good, but the fries were shoestring fries from out of a bag, not housemade. The fries were not hot and was fried very hard. The cheese on top was a little over powering. My cousin ordered the strawberry margaritas (she said it was good) and the fish and chips. She said the fish tasted okay and that the fish crust was not crunchy enough and kind of soggy. She chose to take the remainder home to put in air fryer just a little longer. Spent $119 (which is not bad, if the food was great/good) I only ate one crab cake, a couple of fries and a couple of spoons of the mac and shrooms. The guy taking our plates couldn't believe I didn't want a to go box. The atmosphere and cocktails was nice. The next time I'm in Long Beach, I may try their happy hour, but I'm good on the food.

Tonight, I treated myself to a solo dinner at Saint & Second, and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the entire experience. I started with the crab cakes—they were light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had the Caesar salad with chicken, which was hearty and filling. To finish, I indulged in the warm apple pie with ice cream, the perfect end to a fantastic meal. My server, Armando, was warm, friendly, and efficient, offering thoughtful and helpful recommendations from the menu. The restaurant’s sommelier and manager also went above and beyond, providing a first-class wine tasting experience that paired beautifully with my meal. I highly recommend visiting Saint & Second for any occasion. The ambiance is inviting, the food is outstanding, and the service is truly exceptional. Without a doubt, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Long Beach. When you go, be sure to ask for Armando and Diana—you won’t be disappointed.
Carlton D — Google review
Saint and Second has become the newest hotspot in East Manhattan Beach, situated on the new area of the Manhattan Village Mall. For couples, the prime seats are the bar stools on the patio, offering a cozy view inside. Ian, our bartender, was fantastic, and Ray also provided excellent service. The menu boasts a wide variety—from delicious burgers to the finest cuts of beef available. With the kitchen staying open until midnight, it's a great alternative to The Kettle. Kristina and I had a wonderful time, and it’s now a regular addition to our weekly list of favorite dining spots.
Gordon V — Google review
The patio is so lively and has this great comforting atmosphere. Our server Ian took amazing care of of us- was attentive and helpful. Super knowledgeable about the drink selection and patient when we couldn’t decide 😂

Chillin' on the rooftop, sippin' yummy drinks and snacking on tasty tidbits! They got a fab drink menu and seafood galore for nibbles. Crab cakes? Crispy but pint-sized! Buzzing vibes but not too rowdy. Big thumbs up, and we’re totally coming back for round two!

Additionally, Pike has gained recognition for its talented female chefs who are making waves in the culinary scene.
This was the highlight of my trip to California this year, best food, service and the bartender was absolutely amazing I hope to go again, the sad part was I wanted stickers or a patch and they were out of stock, the best part was meeting the owner, my son in law is a hugh fan of Social Distortion

We brought our dog and sat on the front patio. The bartender/server, Liam, was so attentive and he was on top of every detail. He even brought out water for our dog. We had some really tasty cocktails, the Diver Down and Hula Hooch. Both were great! The fish & chips are the best I've had, as was the clam chowder. The calamari was ok, but the breading was a bit too flaky and it almost all fell off of the rings. The taste was great, though.
Carol L — Google review
We were trying to escape the masses exiting The Vans Warped Tour and ducked into this absolutely perfect watering hole. If a sea shanty were a bar, it'd be Pike. The kitschy nautical decor goes all the way to the bathrooms. I loved every inch of it. The back patio was where we decided to land for both visits, but I could spend a couple hours bellied up at that bar. Though we didn't eat there, the food that was being delivered looked and smelled great. Next time I find myself in Long Beach I will be making a stop here.

Fantastic experience. They are friendly. The fish n chips are delicious. Another great experience at this bar/ restaurant. Fantastic job hiring these nice people (thanks Cole R.). I love amazing customer service. I was here for Friday lunch specials.

absolutely great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and awesome place. i cannot remember who the bartender was on Monday 7/28 around 1pm but he made me feel so welcome and I am extremely extremely grateful for his subtle words of kindness, thank you for really brightening my day. my boyfriend loved the fish and chips very much, these were our favorite onion rings in a while, and the current Of Mice & Melt special was delicious. everything came out soooooo hot and fresh too

Great local bar in Long Beach. Offers fun karaoke and trivia nights, but kinda pricey for a dive bar!
Rylee D — Google review
Prices are not for the faint of heart. $90 (w/ a basic tip) for an order of calamari strips (not shown in pic but batter was odd/not tasty); clam chowder (not shown in pic but really tasty); a well drink (Capt n Coke); a Bloody Mary; an order of fish & chips (Cole slaw was good); and a chicken sandwich. Bread on fish was lightly crisp on the outside but soggy on the inside bread (not good). Chicken sandwich tasted fresh. Service was good/courteous. Inside ambiance (a dock feel w/ local history photos) was nice.

Awesome vegan food served here! Homemade chilli, impossible burgers, buffalo cauliflower wings, hummus, etc. This is also a great place for the solo diner. :)

The Stache Bar is a cozy venue with a unique mustache theme, offering live music and a selection of artisanal cocktails and craft beers. While the interior may not be extravagant, the friendly bartenders compensate for it. The bar takes pride in its freshly made mixers and ginger beer, ensuring that every drink is crafted with care and precision. Situated in Long Beach's lively Retro Row, it attracts an energetic crowd seeking entertainment, with DJs playing indie dance beats late into the night.
I was visiting and looked up karaoke in the area. The bartenders were prompt and friendly. The karaoke DJ was also super nice and inviting. Everyone in there was having a good time and I very easily acclimated to the environment. It felt like my hometown karaoke bar. For my first time in california and not knowing the area, I felt safe and will visit this place again! Also the prices were reasonable which was appreciated.
Chloe K — Google review
Went to The Stache Bar with a friend who said he loved it. I'm now a huge fan too. Ordered a few drinks and food. Service was great, food was impressive. This might sound odd, but I ordered the Chicago hot dog. It was probably the BEST I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and order it again!
Andrew G — Google review
First time here and it was great! Came right when they opened and Evan was our bartender. He was fantastic! Best cosmo I’ve ever had! And the food is pretty good for bar food. They are also dog friendly!! 🐶 got my pup a doggy patty. Highly recommend a visit!
Anna — Google review
The bar had a nice atmosphere and the food was good. I went here twice and the bbq burger was thick and juicy, so I went back again and ordered another burger(bleu burger), but I was disappointed that it came out even though the outside of the patty was burnt. If the patty is burnt a lot, he should throw it away. It doesn't seem right to just give it to a customer. The craft beer is good and it seems like a place worth visiting. I think it's up to you to go once and decide whether to go further. There's a Sideburns right next to it, and it's connected to the store, so the food is cooked and served at Sideburns, so you can order food at Sideburns, and if you're going to have drinks and food, you can order here and get the same food.
Koony — Google review
I'll be honest I go to hangout with Priscilla. The beers are great and so is the food. But the customer service from this awesome woman is the best and it comes off so genuine. Anyway I digress. This place is definitely my new hangout spot.
David H — Google review
Expensive drinks, poor atmosphere and you’ll be ignored by the bartenders until they’ll reluctantly help you. It was a busy night but there was plenty of standing room, yet people decided it would be better to try and take over our table. Go across the street to the Vroom if you want good vibes and better service.
Kiharii — Google review
I'll be back to try some food but I absolutely loved the cocktails and the fact that they have Criterion streaming. Love this place
Marjaneh E — Google review
Love their chicken wings! Order and devour while hot. Sauces, celery and carrot sticks on the side. If you're a Packers, Lakers, or Raiders fan, this is your bar. Lively crowd on any given game night. I don't drink beer, but I throw down a couple of mules and shots. Happy hour prices are decent. Create your own crowd by bringing friends. I was invited here to watch a game or else I probably would not have discovered this place. Parking is almost nonexistent, but such is Fourth Street. Come prepared to circle the block a couple of times, walk, or rideshare.

Great prices; delicious food (big portions); good service; and a great ambiance with the joint Cocorenos restaurant on a Thu night. Only constructive criticism is that the two mango margaritas we ordered had little to no alcohol.

Cocerenos Mexican eatery and Reno Room are connected. While I was staying for 6 days mearby, I visited Reno almost daily. My routine was roughly: $6 breakfast burrito (9-11 am) + $3.25 diet coke. In evening get available specials ($5 Modelo, $7 Jameson ...depending on the day). Amazing staff.

The fish tacos!!! Oh my what a great place. My brother took me here because I wanted fish tacos and they were honestly some of the best ones ever ever had. Perfect crunch, the slaw, and the sauce made for a fantastic mix. If your in Long Beach, go here!

Some of the BEST tacos I’ve ever eaten. I usually order two tacos when I eat out but here I ordered SIX because they were so amazing!!! And only $1.95 each - absolute steal. Highly recommend A++

The waiter harassed us for no reason after our friend group went in after Vans Warped Tour... I guess he and the girlies behind the bar just didn't like one of our friends in the group after looking them head to toe and randomly told them they are "not welcome here" as we were ready to order. And the toilet seat had poop stains on it.

The soups they gave us with steak and lobster was amazing sooooooo much flavors my mouth could not handle it was so gooood 😭😭 I just loved this place all i can say i like little old places like this still open and running 💪 It was awesome they have the touch tone Jukebox here and the bar is really awesome for a good time i love the vibes here definitely coming back thank you everyone that helped us here

The service was good. The food was tasty - the top sirloin (they were out of the NY steak we wanted), and the prime rib was also good. The taste and seasoning on the fries was on point. The salad had sweet delicious lettuce, but the soup was small. The early bird special was a great price and generous portions. Why not 5 stars (I would have done 4.5), the table was really, really sticky. No NY steak.
Rosemary M — Google review
I'm very sad they're closing at the end of May. I've always had a fun time here. The portions are generous, prices fair and service always friendly! This truly was a Long Beach landmark since 1965!

Haven't been there in many years but last time I was there the food was good and reasonably priced and I found that it's still that way. Waitresses were very nice too. My husband and I will return for more.

Steak and lobster with bochoy soup. Juicy tasty steak tender lobster with plenty of melted butter Tabasco sauce and I asked for a jalapeño on the side and a baked potato. Garlic bread and a little tapioca rounded out the dinner. Please tip generously since the food tab is so low. We also had a side salad and relish tray. No drinks. Just water post beach hydration. Laid back old school neighborhood vibe. Mixed locals and regulars along with new customers. $36.99 plus $15.00 tip. Wait staff was excellent! Thank you guys. P.s ask for bochoy soup and tell em william ramirez recommended it...I have a reputation to protect. Thank you.😎

Ordered the early bird special which was steak and lobster for 18.99 came with a salad, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and toast with dessert. Steak was really thin and tough in spots. Lobster was a good size but no flavor, wife didn't finish hers. Salad was good typical plain salad but blue cheese dressing was really watered down. Mash potatoes and gravy and the toast was the highlight of the meal. The dessert was banana pudding which was excellent but a very small amount like a condiment size. Don't let the pictures fool you... looks good but not.

Blind Donkey, located in Long Beach's East Village Arts District, is a cozy and low-lit space known for its extensive whiskey menu. The bar gained fame after being featured in the movie La La Land but remains somewhat hidden beneath the Broadlind Hotel. The staff are passionate about their craft and are always ready to guide patrons through their wide selection of whiskeys from around the world.
This is the 3rd time that I’ve been here and I would say from all the bars that I’ve gone to this place makes the BEST whiskey sours hands down! Delicious options of whiskey and great beer! The bartenders are AMAZING!!! The vibe is great clean cozy it’s a vibe ! They also have awesome games & they have a cute photo booth that I do recommend trying out and taking pics in ! Gives it the vintage 1920s vibe to it. Definitely has become a bar that I always recommend to a friend when they’re down in Long Beach! :) cheap & great quality! Like how could you not come here !!!

Great bar! Atmosphere was great! Diverse people ! Went in during karaoke and it was so fun! Bartenders were all super kind! Karaoke was unlike any karaoke I have ever been to, a lot of regulars who can really sing! Felt a sense of community there even as a non local. Would go back for the super friendly bartenders and strong drinks!

Got recommendations to try this place from the hotel bartender. Walked to this place to be searched more heavily than TSA! Remove all items from pants, lift shirt and spin around, metal detector wand. After that enjoyable experience walked down these steep steps to the entrance which was dark inside (didn’t bother me) to loud karaoke music. Wandered around to find open seating, my group sat at a high top table in the middle of the floor, no staff walking around to wait on you? (Not sure if that was provided). Noticed everyone walking up to the bar to get drinks and service. We didn’t like the vibe so we got up and walked up the steep steps and leave. Wasn’t my type of establishment. Others might enjoy it but wasn’t my thing

They need to look at their cameras and ask the bartenders to see who was at fault. My friends and I were kicked out. I had been sitting at the bar same seat all night. Then another friend showed up so I got up to greet her. As I went back to sit down a Hispanic girl was sitting where I was. So I just stood beside her then she got up so I sat down. She then said something so I asked her what did she say. I told her I was sitting there all night. She said you think your privileged because your white. I then got up and she took off her friends where surrounding me as I asked them where she was. I wanted to let her know I am no where privilege. Maybe because I am older she felt she could be disrespectful and I wouldn't say anything. Her friends made a sceen all standing in front of me. Security escorted my party out when i wasn't the problem. I dont tolerate any type of racism. Maybe cause we were older this bar wanted to keep the younger crowd.

The Blind Donkey is one of my favorite spots in Long Beach. The atmosphere is super laid-back, the bartenders know their stuff, and the whiskey selection is honestly amazing. It’s the kind of place where you can hang out with friends, try something new, and not feel rushed. Always a good time here.

Atmosphere is great, but the old man bartender needs to retire big time. He ruins the mood.

Nice underground pub! Early evenings could be speakeasy They had nice in-house cocktails and the bartender was also good with making cocktails We had three - the stone sour (bourborn), nick of thyme (bourbon) and gods middle finger (whisky) - all were pretty good Also do order the fries - the upstairs place brings them down, but those are surprisingly delicious, specially the tangy ones xD

Cocktail bar with a great whiskey list. And you can bring your food down. Love me a good whiskey bar All the bartenders know their whiskey very well. They also will give you the best choice of whiskey that fits your needs. They also don't overprice some of the allocated bottles of whiskey

Alex's Bar is a vibrant punk rock bar and live music venue with striking blood-red walls and eerie decorations. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a monster mash, adorned with skulls, red curtains, and velvet paintings of iconic figures like Elvis, Lemmy, and Bowie. This dive bar has become a go-to spot for fans of hard-edged punk and outlaw sounds.
I love this place! Always great bands playing! Plus the prices on the drinks aren't too expensive. Try the whiskey sour!

A great spot that's reasonably priced. Great selection and prompt service. Awesome lil dive with a cool stage for live music and karaoke.
Paul E — Google review
Chill spot. To be fair I went for a show a friend was having, so I had a drink and absorbed to atmosphere. I don't remember what the drink was, but it had some punch to it. Sound system was rocking, the folks were real cool. All in all hand a good experience. Side note, I get everywhere on time so parking was not an issue, there is a small lot with street parking though.
Grady W — Google review
If you’re looking for a local gem that vibrates with music, energy, and personality, Alex’s Bar is it. This place is electric. The karaoke nights are nothing short of theatrical—some performers sound like they belong on a stage in front of thousands. And the live bands? They transform the space into a gritty, intimate concert hall, the kind of venue people return to for its punk-grunge-dive bar charm. Drinks are decent, though they lean on the lighter side—maybe a bit “alcohol-light”—but that almost adds to the vibe. The focus here is clearly on the music, the people, and the experience, not on getting wrecked. The atmosphere is pure authenticity: blood-red walls, retro-kitsch décor, standing-room-only floors. It’s a dive with personality, where the regulars feel like part of the show. Some nights you’ll get trivia, other nights it’s punk rock or themed events—each visit is a completely different adventure. Bottom line: Alex’s Bar is a dive with soul. The drinks may not knock you out, but the energy will. A must-visit for locals and anyone chasing that raw, unforgettable live-music experience.
James R — Google review
Alex’s Bar is one of those spots that has real character—you can feel it the moment you walk up. The red neon sign and tucked-away entrance give it this underground, almost secret vibe (even though it’s pretty well-known now). Inside, it’s dark, gritty, and full of attitude. The walls are lined with skulls, old posters, and quirky decor that makes it feel like a true punk rock dive bar with history. I went on a Friday night with some friends, and the vibe was awesome. One of the biggest highlights is the live music. They feature a lot of local and indie bands—mostly punk, garage, and rock—and it just feels raw and alive. The sound is surprisingly good for a smaller venue, and the crowd really brings the energy. Drinks are solid—good beer selection, both craft and mainstream, and strong pours if you’re into cocktails. Prices are totally fair, especially for Long Beach. The bartenders were fast, cool, and knew what they were doing, even with a packed crowd. One thing I love about this place is that it’s not about being trendy or polished. You don’t come here to pose—you come to listen to music, have some drinks, and enjoy a place with actual soul. The crowd is super mixed, from longtime punks to younger people looking for something real. No pretension, just vibes. Only downside: parking can be a pain, especially on busy nights. I’d recommend taking a ride share or getting there early if you’re driving. Also, if you’re sensitive to loud music or dark, crowded places, this probably isn’t your scene. ⸻ Bottom line: Alex’s Bar is a Long Beach gem—loud, gritty, full of personality, and unapologetically cool. Great live shows, solid drinks, good prices, and a real-deal atmosphere that’s hard to find these days. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into music and a night out with edge.

We played a show here during a NOFX merch event. We were pleasantly surprised to find that every punk in the crowd signed up to do our bingo. Maybe they just stayed for the prizes, but then again, they sang back every lyric during our set. Thanks Alex's Bar!

Went on a Friday night to see one of my favorite Local bands.. great beer selection & the service at the bar was very quick! Security was very professional as well! There was an outdoor area / smoking patio & they were selling freshly made pizza from a mini pizza oven..We had two! It was that good! Overall we had a very nice time and would def come back again!

I hate bars, but not this one! First went in March to see Reverend Horton Heat. It was an awesome place for a gig! Really enjoyed the dark ambiance and decor. Drinks were strong, but service and taste will vary depending on bartender. They have a decent sized patio with seating and eats. For food they had a burger stand. Not sure if it was the alcohol, but those burgers were damn tasty!! It was $13 for a Burger with Chips. On another night we went there was a pizza stand with $10 personal pizzas. A little soggy, but flavor was great. Hope this place never changes!

The young lady that was upstairs bartending was beyond the nicest person I've ever met. Great personality, very helpful, and makes great drinks.

No hostess. Long waits n nobody was there....food the worst I've ever eaten!! Nasty!!! Gross. Was given warm tap water. Tea tasted moldy. Was also not cold. Didn't even get til I was almost done eating. Couldn't eat much of it...broken n burned chips. Not much toppings for "nachos". Never again!

Happy hour is great! Staff were kind! It took a minute for our order to be taken, but once helped things went smoothly. Tacos are pretty decent, and scratch the taco Tuesday itch. House made chips & guac were very bomb! The bar made each margarita in separate tins which was nice, and ensured freshness.

GO! this place has an amazing vibe for a date or going out with friends. I went on a date and it was perfect and intimate. I went on a Tuesday evening and it was a pretty decent crowd with a great DJ. The bar area was kind of loud but sitting outside aloud for you to chat without yelling too m Cocktails - were delicious and the bartender was VERY knowledgeable about the cocktails. You can dress up and still fit in or be super casual and still fit in. It's a vibe for everyone.

Came at 7pm.. This place was fine. It’s a fine place to go and chill, maybe have some drinks. Some food. Then head to your real destination bar. It’s pretty small but their patio is very cute. Downstairs there’s another restaurant/bar. You can bring drinks up or down. HOWEVER. There is a distinct smell like the sewer lines are backed up. It smells like a duck pond downstairs. I couldn’t stand it. It kind of goes upstairs too. In my opinion they need more “SPARK” more liveliness. Drinks are not mainstream. There’s no “regular”drinks there. Just their own beer and mixed drinks. They’re good! Everything here is nice. It’s dope. It’s not … awesome or like “I’ll go here again!” It’s like… “well that was nice”.

I love this place! I came here on a Saturday night, and it was filled with people without feeling like it was too crowded. Their bartenders were very friendly and made really tasty cocktails. The indoor area was perfectly lit, and the music was bumpin' (shoutout to DJ Nativity!). They also have a rooftop area with a bunch of seating and tables, which I really enjoyed because it felt like I was at a friend's place. Definitely coming back!

Completely unexpected. Yes it’s small, the rooftop doesn’t have a fun view, but it gets the job done. Bright, fun, staff is super nice & the drinks are on point. Really love this spot.

Pinball! I go there for pinball, including friendly tournaments every other Thursday. Plenty big enough selection of beer. Beer is everywhere but pinball isn't. (Though check out I Need a Miracle Tickets for hourly/subscription on 20+ pinball machines if you don't already know). Food service is new and a nice addition. Longer hours and willingness to at least serve til closing time is a must. End of night can feel unfriendly in that respect. Patricia's next door has good cheap mexican food and I think Beachwood lets you bring it in, or at least they used to.

Stirred, not shaken. For I am not a sissy boy, like James Bond. Beachwood brews over 25 of their own beers, along with distilling their own rum, gin & vodka. Unfortunately, whiskey is not included. Once I arrived, I was dead set on an Elder Vesper. Created by Ian Fleming as the favorite cocktail for his titular character, James Bond. A boozy beverage, Bond took his "shaken, not stirred". Not me! Stirred, not shaken. Shaking dilutes the cocktail moreso than stirring. Give it to me stiff! Elder Vesper- Beachwood Vodka, Beachwood Citrus Gin, Lillet Blanc, St. Germain Elderflower, Beachwood Orange Bitters. Dry, strong & lovely, this was my first taste of a martini, and I highly enjoyed the bright & crisp cocktail. Chi Chi- Beachwood Vodka, Trader Vic's Macadamia Nut Liqueur, Pineapple Juice, Cream of Coconut, Lime Juice. Yikes! Too sweet! Akin to an ICEE/slushie, I was given half a Tiki mug of this blood sugar spiking concoction, and I'm thankful I only had that much to drink. Beer Sample Flight- I asked if could sample a beer or two, and was graciously provided a flight of four of their popular beers on tap. My favorite being the Gator. Beachwood Wood-Fired House Bread w/ Whipped Ricotta- 48 hour fermented sourdough bread, baked to order and served with whipped ricotta, roasted garlic & soft herbs. Very good! The bread had a substantial pull to it. The whipped ricotta was heavenly, dolloped upon each tear of bread. Quite filling! Gratitude the staff at Beachwood Brewing & Distilling. The hospitable service, expertly crafted cocktails & tantalizing eats afforded a fine evening experiencing a previously unventured culinary destination.

My friend and I wanted to go here for the first time to watch the survivor night showing. We were looking forward to this event until we walked in to the extremely pungent smell of feces. It literally smelled like a dog pound. We immediately walked out as it seemed to be in the whole establishment. No way would we be able to eat or drink in there.

Would give less if I voyld terrible work schedule I do t come late I come at 4 and every day at 430 the entire parking lot is full of busses every Wednesday Thursday and Friday there's no space for parking customers park illegally and block the busses and vans that come to pick up disable people from daycare those people are not the problem but if you seen this every week 3 days of your 5 day schedule you'd think to maybe open the brewery a little later maybe keep it open a little longer but no instead the brewery takes more parking spaces by putting an immobile food trailer back there and wasting half the lot that is theirs and making more parking troubles for customers of both establishments. I've been here for a beer as well it wasn't special at all nothing new just inconvenient as hell and the bartender is too damn cool for anyone that isn't 50+ and dressed like they have money to burn. Terrible space that ruined some of the community I'd rather drink at patricas next door these owners are whack and I have seen them yell at staff publicly. Fix your work schedule no one NEEDS to be drunk before 430 Wed Thurs Friday not worth the hassle costs too much no service to speak of could have served myself in a nicer manner with all the sarcasm I'd give myself it'd still be nicer.
Jeffrey D — Google review
Our favorite brewery moved into our neighborhood 😃 With 24 taps, you are bound to find a few beers or ten you want to try so we are thankful we can walk here. There is also a parking lot in the back if you need to drive over. My husband and I went opening day with our neighbors. The place was packed when we got there, but luckily we were able to get a table. There is plenty of seating at the bar and in the whole brewery. They did a great job with the space and added pinball machines, skeeball, and a shuffleboard in the back. It’s fun for kids and adults. You can also get cans to go and merchandise. Check out their IG for events and music too. The distillery is in the works but there is plenty of great beers to have in the meantime. If you get hungry there are plenty of local restaurants to get food from. Our friend picked up Thunderbolt Pizza while we were there. It hit the spot. Can’t wait for our next visit 🍻

Fish & chips restaurant
The Auld Dubliner, located in Long Beach, CA, is a beloved Irish pub that has been serving the community for nearly 20 years. The establishment exudes an authentic Irish atmosphere, with its interior designed in Ireland and assembled on-site to mimic a traditional Irish pub. The owner, David Copley, annually takes loyal patrons to Ireland to update the menu and vibe of The Auld Dubliner to stay true to its roots.
TLDR: fish and chips were on point! I loved the fish and chips, the crispiness but lightness of the batter was just right, the fish was tender and juicy. The French fries were perfectly fried and they gave me extra tartar sauce as well. Great food at a reasonable price!
Wilson T — Google review
During a convention weekend (with the convention center RIGHT across the street) there’s nothing better than finding a reliable Irish pub. Although the drink prices were a bit steep - the tacos are incredibly well priced as well as the rest of their menu, with solid self service seating, and incredible team to boot! When I inevitably return for the same event next year you can be sure i’ll be back at The Auld Dubliner.
Israel G — Google review
The beer is cold and there are daily happy hour specials. I’ve enjoyed this establishment multiple times over the years, we like to stay nearby when visiting. When the crew in the back is on their game fried items come out just right, their specialty items have solid flavors, quality and consistency and the special concoctions like the corned beef tacos offered recently were liked by several in our group. Prices are in line for the area and not so overinflated that folks on per Diem should balk completely at the cost of the meal. You won’t have much left over for anything, else but some self control with the alcoholic beverages and the evening won’t put you in the “hole”.

Amazing live music that makes you feel like you're in Ireland. My first full Irish Breakfast, and as a 3rd generation Mexican American living in CA, I normally lean toward Mexican pride. Today, I am very proud to also be part Irish. I'm drunk, fat, and happy.

A great pub with live music and super friendly staff. I asked for my sandwich to be made with a French baguette instead of regular toast, and it turned out amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back! The place is dog-friendly, which is a big plus. However, I wouldn’t recommend the calamari here. They’re tough to chew and feel like they’re trying to make you choke on long strips. I’ve had much better calamari elsewhere with a different, more enjoyable texture. If you’re planning to try the Beef Wellington like I did, you should know that on Sundays when the convention center is open, they’ll serve a convention menu and won’t be able to prepare this dish. For example, we were told that January is quite a busy month for them in this regard. I strongly recommend calling ahead to check, especially if you’re traveling from far away! It would also be helpful to have this kind of information available on their website. As for the Shepherd’s Pie, it’s decent, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. It has a lot of mashed potatoes, then a layer of gravy, and finally ground meat with peas. I felt there wasn’t enough meat, and there were too many peas. I’d prefer more meat and perhaps replacing some of the peas with carrots. Regarding the clam chowder, it’s good and is served with a piece of bread. It’s not quite the same as what you’d get in a seafood restaurant, but for a pub, it’s a decent level of quality.

BO-beau kitchen + roof tap is a sprawling bi-level gastropub located in the center of Downtown. The rooftop patio, known as BO-beau roof tap, offers stunning views of Pine Street and features about 50 beers on tap, a large wine list, and cocktails. The menu includes elevated American bar food as well as Korean- and French-inspired flavors with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options clearly marked.
I went to a friend’s birthday party with about 20 people. Our server was super attentive and did a great job of taking care of everyone. A few of us shared the Brussels sprouts, which were pretty tasty and a great way to share a dish among 3-4 people. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and decided to add short rib to my entree for an extra $10. It was a fantastic choice! The flavor was rich but not too overpowering. For drinks, I got an espresso martini and a whiskey sour. Both were a bit too sweet for my taste, though.

Had a wonderful birthday meal at BO-beau. Brussels and tomato bisque were standouts, but every bite was delicious. Picnic table seating was quite uncomfortable and cheapened the atmosphere a bit, but food more than made up for it. Probably wouldn’t drive from Irvine again, but absolutely worth a trip if you’re in the area.
Christopher T — Google review
We really like the BO-beau location on Pine Street especially the rooftop area. We headed over after a Dodger baseball game for a late night snack. We ordered several appetizers for the whole table and we must say it was all good. TV's were on so we were able to watch some sports as well. Overall great time.

This is such a nice restaurant. We dined on the rooftop, which has heat lamps for the days that are kind of cool. Our food was delicious. I ordered the brussels sprouts, the meatballs, and the truffle fries. My Bestie ordered the wings, mac & cheese, and Caesar salad. We both loved our meals. And the drinks were outstanding; just the right amount of kick and flavor. The customer service was excellent. I will definitely be back.

A nice spot to enjoy dinner on their outdoor rooftop patio on a cool SoCal evening. The aptly named "famous" Brussels Sprouts are a winner and a must have! They are easily shareable. We also loved the extra thick cut bacon that was blended in with the sprouts. Mains were the LBC Chicken Sandwich and I was drawn to the Bo Burger Royale. Pork belly with two beef patties, why wouldn't ya! The truffle aioli contributes to a great flavor balance. Our server was super friendly but prices were on the higher end. Overall though, it was a nice evening out.

I recently dined at this restaurant for a dual birthday celebration with coworkers visiting from out of town. Overall, the experience was positive, but there were a few notable downsides. **Positives:** The customer service was excellent. When I called to accommodate our large party, the staff was very helpful. Both the waiter and hostess were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was also quite good. My Old Fashioned was well-crafted, and we all loved the baked brie—definitely a highlight of the meal. Others in our group enjoyed the duck, mushroom ravioli, steak fries and mac 'n' cheese, and I tried them as well. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared. **Negatives:** However, the dining experience wasn't without its drawbacks. We were seated on the rooftop, which was extremely hot. I inquired about sitting downstairs, where we could have all fit at one table in a much cooler environment, but I was informed that seating downstairs wasn't an option. This was disappointing, especially since the downstairs area was beautifully designed and much more comfortable. Additionally, while the risotto was decent, it wasn't exactly what we expected. Three of us ordered it and were surprised by the very strong lemon flavor, which wasn't mentioned in the dish description. Lastly, the prices seemed a bit steep for the experience of sitting at a picnic table in the heat. In summary, while the food and service were commendable, the seating arrangements and unexpected flavors in certain dishes were disappointing, especially considering the prices.

First of all out out to Logan. He was the most chill kind professional warm and welcoming server I’ve had in a while. Secondly we were a bigger group and some of the dishes were people “best ever”. I highly recommend this place! I love the location and 2nd street is really fun. All street parking or paid street parking. There is a bar side and a seating restaurant style side. The restaurant side is a bit more quiet and more about the food.

Went on a Wednesday night and it was still a vibe! They had a house DJ mixing pop, hip hop, Spanish music, and more. A really good mix made everyone get up and dance. Lots of seating for people and such an attentive staff picking up all trash and empty cups. I will say however the bar was a bit slow. (There were only two bartenders but it was a Wednesday). Special shout-out to Angel, he was so helpful helping a friend. I'd definitely go back on a weekend when they open up the other side of the bar for the dance floor.

Joe Jost's is a historic and unpretentious tavern that has been serving no-frills sandwiches, pickled eggs, and hot dogs since 1924. The joint was founded by Joe Senior and Joe Junior, with the former being immortalized in a heartfelt essay on the tavern's website.
One of my very favorite haunts. It’s been Hereford about 100 years. Amazing atmosphere. Try the pickled eggs or the Joe Jost special. You can’t go wrong!

Went in on a Sunday afternoon (2pm) with a group of friends for beers and sandwiches. It was busy. They only take CASH! So come prepared. The beers are in HUGE glasses and the sandwiches are old school and AMAZING! Plain white bread with egg salad and onion. Fresh, crisp and so tasty! Pool tables in the back and cool vibe. If you’re a prude might not be the family scene you’re looking for as it has a 90s bro bar vibe with semi naked girlies posters etc. nothing too offensive but it’s there.

Indeed and experience only to be had in Long Beach. This place is no nonsense. Over 100 years old and it’s clear they have some solid traditions. Pickled eggs and mustard Joe specials wrapped in rye bread, and a very delicious root beer. If you only have a few bucks, this is the place to go.
Carl F — Google review
Classic LB location with cold beer on tap and some unique food. Special sandwich is a hot dog in rye bread with mustard and a pickle. Ask for it steamed and it comes hot with the cheese melted! They have pickled hard boiled eggs which are very unique. Service is ok. You order at the bar and the staff is a bit rough but it fits the place. They have pool and shuffle board in the back. They have a few TVs to watch the game on.

My family and I have been going here for over 50 years. Its a yearly ritual now. Love the Joe's special and schooner beers.

Definitely go there if you are in LB. Really nice atmosphere and a must do in LB. Food is nice, stuff is funny. You can also watch some sports, perfect!
Lena B — Google review
Went here with some former coworkers after going to funeral for another down the street. It was fun atmosphere but super loud and busy. Never ate a pickled egg before. It was okay. Kind of rubbery texture and a spicy, sour flavor. According to the old guy sitting at the bar, the liverworst sandwich was great. Fair prices on sandwiches and tap beer. I highly recommend the Mango Cart!
Lori L — Google review
Born and raised in this neighborhood but never tried until today. Wish I had come earlier. It's a very warm, cozy atmosphere. You can feel immediately that every other patron has been there multiple times already. It seems the go-to order is "a special and an egg", which is a sandwich/sliced hot dog, and a pickled egg that comes with peperoncinos and pretzels. Not the most complex of cuisines but it sure has a comforting taste.

Pub
Murphy's Pub At the Belmont is a small, laid-back sports bar with a fantastic selection of over 70 beers and wine. The pub offers great sandwiches and a diverse beer selection to complete your passport after trying 70 different drafts and bottles. With daily specials, patrons can enjoy meals and beers for under $10 while catching a game on one of the nine TVs. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and inviting patio overlooking 2nd St make it a local go-to spot for many.
Cool place for a pint. LOTS of good beer in cans and bottles (as well as drafts). Service was excellent and vibe was chill on a Friday night. The balcony is great for people watching and just hanging out.
Alex T — Google review
Well, it is what it is. A pub on the second floor over looking the hustle and bustle of Long Beach's well known 2nd street. Interestingly enough, the pub is over a gym and weight room. So, on the inside you watch people sweating it out and wishing they were you drinking above them. Weird right? Service decided they were closing early once I got there. So unfortunately didn't get to really drink there. Seemed a bit unusual...No worries, just took my business elsewhere.

Drink 70 beers and join the hall of fame. Great beer selection, great staff, irish bar weith that dive bar feal.

I love this place. It's a local go to spot I've coming to for years and it will always hold a special place in my heart! It's so relaxed and the atmosphere is super inviting and chill. The food is fresh and delish. Check out the sandwich selection, the Ruben sandwich and the ham sandwich are pair well with almost everything. The staff is amazing, awesome and friendly! This place doesn't look like much on the outside nor does it look like much on the inside either, but this is a place where anyone can feel right at home. The beer is fabulous, highly recommend getting a beer passport if you don't have one yet. Everything I've tried has become my favorite. I need to explain, so with the beer passport you drink 72 beers, obviously not all at once, and you once you're done. The prize is getting your get your name on a placard on the wall! They also have more than enough TV's to watch whatever game you want. Indoor or outdoor seating on the patio. Not as many options on hard alcohol, but still works for a nice day drink out on the balcony overseeing 2nd St. No hard alcohol but beers and seltzer's two thumbs up!
Molly M — Google review
Fantastic pub! Great sandwiches, great beers and a great patio overlooking 2nd st. The entire staff is fantastic. One thing you have to do is complete your passport after drinking 70 of the diverse selection they have on draft and bottle. I would recommend not asking for a cocktail, beer and wine only. Everyday has a different special and everyday you can grab a meal and a beer for under $10. Highly recommend coming in to grab lunch, have a beer, and catch a game on the 9 TVs. Great for NFL sundays and college football!

Cannot say about the food as I didnt had any. They have a pretty long list of beers from different places. I love german dunkel and loved it there.

Friendly crowds. Cheap food. Good beer seletction. Small outside patio overlook the 2md street. It also overlooks inside of a gym. You can watch guys/girls work out there. It gets hot easily; seem like there's no AC. Overall, a good hang out and go place.

The Bamboo Club is a laid-back tiki joint in Long Beach, offering outdoor seating and a diverse menu. It's known for its innovative fried chicken sandwich, featuring a unique brine infused with Thai tea leaves. This creates a creamy and familiar flavor without the sweetness of condensed milk. The bar celebrates Long Beach's love for tiki culture and drinks, reminiscent of the city's history with tiki concepts.
The go-to spot and top bar on my list in Long Beach! A dimly lit and atmospheric tiki bar (with a patio in the back) great for dinner with the family or a night out drinking. They have a large menu that’s very accommodating for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free modifications! Different events are hosted nearly everyday of the week including sick shows, be sure to check their event calendar ahead of time! Even on packed out nights I’ve never had an excessive wait time to get a drink at the bar but do keep in mind this place does get busy due to it’s popularity (rightfully so) If you’re planning to grab lunch or dinner reservations are HIGHLY recommended especially for large groups, wait times varies but can sometimes be a few hours during peak times
Rowan H — Google review
Novelty tiki bar that serves food from burgers to Hawaiian dishes. The food is delicious, but comes out of the kitchen a little too quickly. The inside of this tiki bar is dark and dinghy, with the patio needing a little more than some bamboo and a fountain to continue the tiki vibe. The drinks are what makes a tiki bar a tiki bar and they are great concoctions. We only wish that there was more liquid and less ice for the price. At about $17 per drink.. a glass full of ice that with the first sip empties 2/3 of the drink makes you question how much liquid is there. It felt like shots were bought and then poured into a glass full of crushed ice. The macaroni salad and peppers would be the two dishes to get and share at the table.

Tremble Club Review 1. The halloween drink menu has a ton of cool options. That the bartenders appear to hate making. And all of the drinks are over $20. 2. After you pay, they tell you there's a mandatory %18 gratuity because of the type of drinks and the "halloween" experience. 3. The bus boy who tried to take a drink i wasnt finished with was a jerk. I stopped him and asked for it back. He said, "its empty are you dead in the head." I said, "no there's at least my 18% gratuity in there." He stomped off then proceeded to complain about me and point to me amongst the staff. This bar is for a specific niche crowd. And despite it being a full on tiki bar, there seems to be an attitude about ordering the drinks and being able to finish them. Over this place.
Vicky T — Google review
This place was amazing, we went on a Saturday around 1pm. Honestly we didn’t know what to expect it was a bit dark when we went inside. Once we order our first drink it was game over. I got a Mai Tai and the Nina Fresa (10/10). The chicken sandwich however amazing that first bite that crunchiness was out of this world. My girl is not a big fan of Cold slaw and pickles and ate it all I was amazed. The Mac was a 7/10 not our favorite but still passed. We will definitely be back.

Bartender was awesome! They ran out of the tequila seltzers I ordered, but he was quick to offer an infused tequila and soda instead, and it was better than most seltzers I've tried. Staff and patrons were all very nice.

Shannon's On Pine Irish Pub & Sports Bar is a lively local hangout in downtown Long Beach, offering classic pub food and live music. It's known for its multiple flat screen TVs, making it a popular spot for sports fans to gather and enjoy reasonably priced beer and burgers while watching weekend games. The bar stays open until midnight on Sundays through Thursdays, and until 2 a.m.
Located on Pine Ave. & W Broadway. There's street parking, but it can be challenging to find a spot during peak hours. We parked about 1 block away in the 'Landmark Square Parking Lot' using the Pine Ave/1st St. entrance and paid $15.50 for 4.5 hrs. We were walking down Pine Ave after dinner on a Saturday evening, looking for a place to enjoy some drinks. It was a UFC PPV event night, and we were hoping for a place that was showing it. As we walked by Shannon's, my friend noticed they were showing the fight, so we walked right in. No cover charge. Of course, the place was packed, so there were no empty tables. We didn't try their food but their drinks were very satisfying. We had a great time watching the MMA event and enjoyed a few cocktails. They have plenty of TVs throughout the pub featuring live sports. Bar tenders were awesome regardless of how busy it was.

On the weekends, this place is really lit. I haven’t tried the food yet but the service is good and the atmosphere is really nice too. There is an upstairs floor with the DJ booth. Also, they have a Secret bar downstairs where there is a more quieter atmosphere like for a date nights, and to enjoy a nice dinner, but upstairs is more fordancing, mingling this place on the weekend

Like a hole in the wall to go have a cold one? This could be the spot. My fiancee and I like to stop here for a couple drinks and a sandwich before heading back home to the island. Sports, always a different bartender, food always good!

Shameless business! They altered the charge and filled in a higher tip after I left. What you did is considered forgery! I only ordered one Coke, and you didn’t even bother bringing it to my table. How dare you expect me to give you more than 15%? Extremely dishonest and disgusting practice. I hope your place goes out of business soon.

Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Fish and chips were better than expected. Took it to go and it still held up once I got home. Pleasantly surprised. Bathroom was super gross and stunk, but I expect that from a dive bar.

As a gay man, I like hip-hop, surprisingly, and real rap like 2Pac I enjoyed myself to the point where almost scared me. I was a little bit frustrated that they didn’t tell me that there were no shorts allowed, but I saw other people wearing shorts and they should be allowed because people get hot and sweaty up there. They played everything from YG to Yung Joc. Everyone was singing the lyrics. Everyone knew the lyrics. There were two questionable songs that came on and we were like I ain’t dancing to that but we had a fun time.

Great place to go to and meet up with your friends. Excellent security that actually treats you like a human until you mess up and you find yourself on the other end of their friendliness. Great food and fun staff. It's like going back in time and finding yourself walking into Cheer's where everyone knows your name. It's that type of place.

Come check out Shannon’s on Pine if you’re looking for a cool sports bar with a good selection of beer on tap and some delectable comfort food. The menu is on point, they have good nachos that are filling and loaded. The outlaw burger is a must if you’re a burger lover like myself. Try the buffaloes wings and the elote and the fish tacos as well. Catch a game in there anytime of the week and chow down and drink up.

Great speakeasy! We loved it! We love going to speakeasy in NYC and this place is on par with NYC’s speakeasies. Hidden, great entrance with a passcode, inside was well decorated, drinks were unique- they talked to us before they made the drinks that suited us- pretty cool, dimmed, great food, staff was supper friendly. Only downside was that the band that was supposed to show up for live music cancelled last minute so that’s the only reason for the 4. This place was amazing. Thank you so much for a great date night.

Don't do it. Went in on a Saturday at 8. Took 30mins to order and an hour to get 7 drinks (drinks came at 9:28). We were also missing one drink. We were once of 4-5 tables. 2nd time here at the Exhibition Room and I have to say that it was as enjoyable as the first time I was here 3 years ago. Walk through Roxanne's bar straight towards the pool table and make a left at the phone booth. Pick up the phone, buzz it in, yell the person your password, BE PATIENT, then walk in when ready. The atmosphere is excellent! They open up at 7pm. We had a reservation for 715pm for 6 then for 5 @730pm and all went without a hitch. There was enough room for everyone at our table at this time. About 930 it starts to get very lively! The music starts flowing, live tuba and piano begin playing and the place starts to get a little crowded and loud. The drinks here are on the pricier side as to be expected, but fantastic! Mixologist know their stuff for sure! Any type of alcohol I threw at them they knew what t make or made it in the fly. From mezcal to your everyday martini they got your drink covered. The wait for drinks start to get long about 930ish because there was only two mixologist working and trying to tend to many, many people at a time SO IF YOU BE PATIENT, WAIT YOUR TURN AND THEY'LL SERVE YOU WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. If you're going to be impatient while in in here, THEN THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU! So, come here, ENJOY THE ATMOSPHERE, BE PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING, get your drink on and hang out. CHEERS!
Rus M — Google review
Nice feature of it being a speakeasy within a bar. Good drinks, great musicians, super intimate setting. Make sure you make reservations & get your password.

Glad we checked it out but to be honest was a little let down. At 8 pm it was incredibly hot and stuffy with no fans on or AC. Pretty crowded and seemed understaffed, took about 20 minutes each time we ordered to get a drink. Drinks were pretty good, typical LBC pricing though. Ended up leaving and just staying outside at Roxanne's for the remainder of the night.

O'Connell's Cocktails in Long Beach is a popular spot known for its delicious bar nibbles and pub food. It's the oldest bar in the area and offers a vibrant atmosphere with pool tables, shuffleboard, jukebox, and TVs for entertainment. The bar has recently undergone new ownership, resulting in a bright and inviting interior. Customers appreciate the friendly bartenders like Miguel who create a welcoming environment.
It's got kind of your typical dive bar atmosphere without the danger. A lot of locals things hang out here but more middle aged an older. Sometimes you see a younger crowd at night. The fries were decent, but I couldn't justify paying almost nine dollars for plain fries with Cajun seasoning. Cool place to hang out. Sport vibe during the day.

I visited this bar about a month ago and had a disappointing experience. I was having a rough day and was on the phone for a bit while at the bar, but I made sure to keep my volume down and not disturb anyone. Unfortunately, the bartender approached me and told me that my voice was annoying and that I needed to take my call outside or leave. I found this interaction to be really unkind and unprofessional, so I paid my tab and left. I hope the management takes feedback like this seriously because everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect

Kinda boring. Calls itself an Irish bar, but doesn't really have an identity or vibe around it. Service and drinks are fine - no problem with the fundamentals -but it's not really somewhere I'd have a good time hanging out for an extended period. I'd come back for a quick drink.

The place is very nice. Right on the water. We had an issue with our table leaning but staff allowed us to move. Food was delicious and well prepared. Side note, water is tripled filtered which is nice as the city water doesn't taste nice.

All of our dishes were very delicious, it was difficult to just choose one dinner, but we’ll be back to try more. The service was very good, even considering I was part of a large party. There is velvet parking or if you don’t mind walking a short distance, there’s a huge parking structure.

My husband has been to another location before so he was excited to take me here. He and I along with my adult niece were disappointed. I will say, even though the clam chowder was thick like pudding, it had a wonderful flavor and I would do that again. My husband's seabass was fishy tasting and not very good. It was dry. I ordered the parmesan crusted halibut and although it had potential to be great, I found myself taking more lemon out of our water glasses to squeeze onto my fish. They barely put enough of the sauce on there which made my fish dry. My niece got the pasta, it was good but heavy so she was having a hard time finishing it. We got calamari as an appetizer and it was good, not the best, but pretty good. The bread and butter was the star of the show = delicious!!! When making an online reservation I noted that it was my nieces 35 bday so I thought they would do something, but nope, didn't even acknowledge it so we went to the funnelcake house and got something there. Not sure i would really go back since there are plenty of restaurants in the area and it costed us without any cocktails $179.00. Pricey for the non quality and what we got.

Entered the restaurant waited at the entrance, nobody came. Stepped in, someone saw me but they didn’t react…took a bit until someone came up to offer me a table. (Sat on the terrace) Food was delicious, had the tuna cooked rare. The first waiter a nice young gentleman was very friendly. A lady later came and apologized that she had no time for me (even if the restaurant was empty at 1pm) I then received my wine and my meal which were both great. Nobody asked me how the food was, plate was cleared just when I asked for the bill. Bill came higher than the price in the menu (which was changed as soon as I mentioned) Great location and good food.

Always great seafood and you can't beat the views of the harbor and Queen Mary. The Queensway Salad, Seafood Trio, and the Seafood Pasta (lobster, shrimp, & crab linguine) are all amazing along with their lobster deviled eggs. Servers here are always great and make good suggestions on what to try. This lead to me trying the Manhattan Fish Chowder. Delicious. They also serve warm sourdough bread with is amazing.

Sad to make this review as we were very excited to celebrate my sister’s birthday here with dinner on a Sunday evening. First, it took quite a long time for us to get to order drinks and food, the server didn’t come around that often, maybe because he thought we were still waiting for people? The paper menu AND the menu on the website have a QR code stating that if you enroll in their birthday party program, you can get your entree for free on your birthday. HOWEVER the QR code was cut off (poorly printing) on the paper menu. Trying to scan the QR code on the website was also impossible due to very poor quality (very pixelated). When we spoke to the server and asked if he had the QR code or link available elsewhere so my sister, the birthday girl, could enroll in the Birthday Program to get her entree comped, the server said he didn’t know anything about that so he’d ask his manager. Upon return, he informed us that they no longer did that and it was an old menu. We mentioned it was also on the website and asked them to reconsider. They did not.. clearly they need to update their menu… After a LONG TIME waiting our food finally arrived. The noodles were hard, poorly cooked or al dente? Not sure.. the swordfish was also of mediocre quality as it was cold and dry, not as expected.

First time trying this place and I enjoyed every bit of it. This place has such a relaxing and soothing ambiance. The service was excellent. My server was attentive as she continuously checked up on me. The food did take a little long to come out but the food was good. It wasn’t anything super delicious, but it didn’t taste horrible. FAIR WARNING, you have to pay for parking & sometimes it can be difficult to find parking. If you’re not patient, then you might as well pay for Valet parking.

Don’t even bother coming here, fish&chips is the worse i’ve ever tried. Disgusting. Not only it was disgusting. It took more than 1h for it to arrive. I think the waiter forgot about us lol. Then he tried to compensate it with a free dessert but when we asked for the Apple pie he came back and said they already ran out of it. We ended up asking for another… But overall not a very pleasant experience. We arrived at 4pm and we didn’t leave until 6pm… Very slow service 👎🏻 At least the waiters were friendly and offered us a discount (which i do appreciate!) but i would not come back!

Brewpub

Restaurant
Belmont Brewing Co is a laid-back brewpub offering American cuisine with stunning ocean views and an outdoor patio. Established in 1990, it holds the title of being the oldest brew pub in Los Angeles County. The Brewmaster, David Blackwell, crafts a diverse selection of lagers and ales on a seven-barrel system, including Clean Blondes, Hoppy Pales, IPAs, Balanced Ambers, Big Stouts, Fruity Weizens and Spicy Belgians.
This beachside brewery has an outdoor patio that extends almost all the way to the sand, offering incredible ocean views—definitely the highlight, highly recommend grabbing a seat outside. They have plenty of tables, both inside and out, with heat lamps and wind shields to keep things comfortable. We shared a few dishes. The mussels were just okay—a bit underwhelming for me. But the poke bowl more than made up for it: super fresh, with three kinds of fish, all of which were excellent. My friend had the fish and chips, which were crispy, flaky, and really fresh-tasting. There’s plenty of parking nearby, including a small strip mall with free spaces, which made getting there hassle-free. After eating, we took a stroll along the beach and the pier, which is just steps away. A perfect way to wrap up the meal.

Lets start with location and parking. There was plenty of parking at the beach lot, it's metered but free after 6pm. Very short distance from the restaurant. Location was nice, right on the beach in Belmont, view was amazing. The service. When we arrived we were seated immediately by a very nice young woman. Presented us with a menu and told us who our waiter would be. Within 2 minutes our waiter approached, introduced himself and took our drink order. He came back after about 5 minutes to see if we were ready to order. We started with an appetizer, the Hawiian Style Poke, it was so good we ate it before grabbing a photo. Now, it was good but here's the issue we waited about 25 minutes for get it, we couldn't find our waiter to inquire about the food. But people around us were getting their food before us and they were seated after us. So, once we got it, it was very tasty and fresh. I ordered the Honey Peppercorn Salmon, it sounded amazing. Upon receiving it the presentation was very nice, quite impressive actually. It was a bit over cooked, and I couldn't taste anything like honey, even a slight flavor of it was missing. My wife ordered the Dynamite Shrimp, she really liked it, said it could've used a bit more spice for her but good either way. Now the reason for the 3 star review is the wait time for the appetizer and the meal followed within 10 minutes so we had a table full of food that wasn't brought out in a timely manner and our waiter only checked in with us once after taking our order, so I never got any refills on my ice tea.

Belmont Brewing Co is the ultimate Long Beach hang. Right on the water with an unbeatable ocean view—seriously, you can sip a beer and watch the waves roll in. Doesn’t get more SoCal than that. The beer? Always on point. They’ve got a solid selection of house brews, and everything tastes super fresh. Whether you’re into IPAs, ambers, or something lighter, there’s something for everyone. The food holds it down too—great pub-style eats with some legit flavor. Grab the fish tacos or the burger, you won’t regret it. Service is friendly and fast, and the whole place has a laid-back beachy vibe that makes you want to stay way longer than you planned. Perfect spot for a casual afternoon, date night, or just catching a sunset with a cold one in hand. Belmont Brewing is a Long Beach classic for a reason.

We were looking for tacos and several friends recommended this place for the fish tacos. They ended up being excellent (well cooked; very good batter) as were the bulgogi tacos which were specials of the day. Additionally, their beer is well made and really hit the spot on a warm day. (We particularly liked the light ale as well as the stout, which was not super heavy so reminded me of a dark lager. Finally, the bartender Austin was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We'll definitely return, in large part because of Austin's great service. Thanks Austin!!!

It was amazing! The food was great! I had an amazing salad and Lobster bisque and a nice glass of wine. The wait staff very nice and attentive! The view was beautiful! I was pretty chilly which u was not expecting due to the fact I am from Texas so I assume everywhere is just a hot as Texas. I had a great lunch an and nice stroll of the beach!⛱️🏖️☀️

Long a great location with decent food, they’ve recently revamped the food. It’s a significant upgrade and now the food quality matches the excellent location. The large beach patio is the popular spot, but we often sit in the bar area, where Austin and crew provide consistently excellent service.

The food service and atmosphere are all amazing. You're down at the beach eating really good food served by some very friendly people. Parking can be a real bear though. I think the best bet is the beach parking lot that in theory you have to pay for.

Cafe Sevilla of Long Beach is a vibrant establishment that offers an authentic Spanish ambiance in its tapas bar, restaurant, and nightclub. The venue features Latin music every night, Flamenco dinner shows on weekends, happy hour specials, salsa dance classes, and a spacious outdoor pet-friendly patio.
It was the perfect date night! We opted for the 5 course Date Night menu. LITERALLY EVERYTHING we tasted was absolutely phenomenal! The service atmosphere, EVERYTHING was amazing! They even had live music while we were there. If you go and get the date night, use these pics to make your selections lol. See if you love it too... but you've gotta like flavorful foods. It was more than enough for the both of us.

The food was great. Try their bread. It is fresh and comes with very tasty dipping sauce. Check out the happy hour - all tapas are half price. It is definitely a good deal to have any tapas for 50% off. However make quick decisions on food. The service could be quite slow as they are short staff. Give yourself at least 30-45 minutes to get seated and order food if you want to take an advantage of the happy hour.

Great Spanish Tapas restaurant in downtown Long Beach. The food was amazing! We had a large group of 16 people. Tables were set and ready for when we arrived. They allowed us to sit prior to members of our party to arrive. Full course meal included dessert. We ordered from one of the preset options which is well worth it. Plenty of food! Drinks are a bit expensive but well made. The live music entertainment during dinner was great and they have a dance club above the restaurant available for after dinner. Some members of our party attended. It’s a great atmosphere and service!

Mother’s Day was a blast here! Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. Sangria was delightful! And the dancing and choreography was so well put together. We learned and even got to participate! Dinner with a show! This is a great option.

I have reviewed Sevilla several times. It is my go-to place when in LA. However, in recent visits I have to say, service is starting to decline. From the bartenders to the doorman, it's just all going downhill. Food is still great though
Benedin R — Google review
We visited Sevilla for the first time with high hopes, especially curious about their variety of paellas. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the drinks were well-crafted with bold and balanced flavors. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not quite meet expectations. Although we were second in line to be seated, our server remained inattentive throughout the evening, which set an off tone from the start. The paella itself was underwhelming. It lacked the depth and seasoning expected from a well-executed Spanish dish, tasting more like a bland jambalaya. There was also no sign of the signature socarrat, the crispy bottom layer that adds texture and richness to traditional paella. It felt like an afterthought rather than the star of the menu. On a brighter note, the homemade bread and aioli were warm, fresh, and full of flavor. While there were a few highlights, I am not sure I would be eager to return. The foundation is there, but the execution needs refining to make it worth another visit.
Kiana W — Google review
The host service needs improvement. I give four stars to the food, the rice in the paella was very mushy, but it was great in flavor. Our favorite tapas so far are: the cheese and ham balls and the datiles rellenos!!! Super delicious!!!

Michael's on Naples is a renowned rooftop restaurant located in Long Beach, California, offering a sophisticated setting and extensive wine options. The establishment is celebrated for its fine Italian cuisine and American fusion dishes, including delectable pizzas, pork chops, and perfectly-seared steaks. Chef Eric Samaniego's exceptional Neapolitan-style pizzas are particularly noteworthy, featuring unique toppings like Calabrese and pea or an umami bomb with mushrooms and shaved black truffle.
Michael’s on Naples was an unforgettable dining experience on the rooftop, which also has an upstairs bar. As soon as you enter this restaurant, the elegant ambiance and beautiful decor is extraordinary. We truly enjoyed all the courses by Executive Chef Eric Samaniego and savored every bite!! Great quality ingredients and spectacular plating!! Each dish came out looking so beautiful!! The food surpassed all expectations! The combination of flavors was unique and delicious!

Mixed reviews this evening, but overall it was still wonderful. We ordered a quick appetizer before our real dinner at a place down the street. The octopus was phenomenally cooked and the smashed potato was an excellent pairing. I didn't love the wine or the cocktails but the bartender was awesome and gave us a lot of great tips and recommendations. Their coffee Negroni was superb. The staff did what they could and we appreciate them. Still one of my favorite Italian spots in SoCal.

We are happy to have this restaurant here on Naples Island community of Long Beach. The menu is a myriad of Italian deliciousness. The orecchiette pasta e salsiccia & Branzino are my favorites. Great Italian wine selection - Brunello's! Love the upstairs bar with its friendly atmosphere. A definite must dinner destination. Staff is awesome! Fine dining at its best. Hope to see you here!

Very interesting place. Its got a intimate lower floor and a exciting bar open air design up top. Filled with the well heeled and beautiful. It's a very nice "right choice" to make. Its going to hold your wallet so know what your coming for. However the dishes are pleasantly and surprisingly good and offer unique touches that set this apart from a more traditional Italian place. Wait staff was on point and ready at the drop to serve you well. I suggest reservations. An interesting observation is the two different "looks" so choose wisely because its a different party.

Local gem without the hassle of leaving Long Beach. Right on Naples Island, steps from the beautiful canals is the wonderful upscale Italian restaurant. We sat on the roof which was shaded nicely and open/airy. The service was very attentive and professional. We had three courses and split each dash. House-made burrata was amazing. Wonder zucchini blossoms, crispy and hot. The homemade pasta was light, delicate, and had been cooked to the right doneness. The Branzino was artfully deboned and beautifully presented while being perfectly seasoned.

We stumbled upon this gem online and decided to celebrate our daughter's birthday here on a Sunday evening. Despite it being low-key, the food and service were fantastic. We enjoyed the mixed meat appetizer and three different pasta dishes, each of which were amazing. The food was of a fine dining quality, but the atmosphere was more relaxed and beachy. We also appreciated being able to watch the SNF game and wildcard baseball playoff without any distractions. Overall, a delightful experience with great food and a cozy atmosphere.

Museums
The Long Beach Museum of Art is located on a bluff-top site and features galleries showcasing works by Southern California artists. The museum's permanent collection includes over 3,200 American and European art pieces displayed in rotating exhibitions within the Elizabeth Milbank Anderson house, a stunning California bungalow from 1911. Additionally, the adjacent Pavilion hosts visiting and special exhibitions featuring contemporary artists.
The Long Beach Museum of Art is such a hidden gem for weddings. The ceremony overlooking the ocean is breathtaking, and the gardens and terraces create a natural flow for guests to enjoy the celebration. Inside, the gallery spaces bring an unexpected creative touch—I loved seeing a couple step away for portraits framed by vibrant artwork, which felt like a blend of fine art and personal storytelling. From a photography standpoint, the variety of backdrops is unmatched: ocean views, clean modern interiors, and intimate evening lighting strung across the courtyard. It allowed me to capture an entire wedding day with so much diversity in the visuals, all without ever leaving the property. If you’re looking for a venue that feels both elevated and personal, the LBMA really delivers. It’s easily one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding.

Gorgeous views and a wonderful restaurant on the property. We were a little underwhelmed by this museum. If we didn’t receive half off from eating at the Claire’s restaurant we would have been disappointed. It was cool to see so much of Keith Haring’s work up close.
Joss — Google review
I attended the "After Dark" event for The Art of Food exhibit and was very underwhelmed. The exhibit itself was quite boring. I didn’t realize it would take such a modern and minimalist approach, especially since the advertisements featured a colorful, lush painting on the cover art. Most of the pieces were modern works—like those by Warhol and Lichtenstein—which I don’t particularly care for. The "After Dark" party was disappointing. The staff outnumbered the guests, and for a $20 ticket, I expected at least a complimentary wine pour. At 9:50 I was asked to leave because I was the only person left... 10 minutes before closing time. Overall, I found the experience lacking and probably won’t attend special events here again.

A really nice art museum. The Keith Haring exhibit was really cool with a handful of items and work I’ve never seen before. The staff were super nice to chat with and friendly. The museum has an upper patio that overlooks the ocean as well!

Nice little museum with the view of the ocean. There are 3 floors in this museum, they have exhibits of artists from local area. Wonderful installation outside, look beautiful day and night time. I have the honor to volunteer for the installation. Thanks LBMA for having me. Parking is free and it’s outside of the museum. So make sure to check the google map before you come. Located in the heart of Long Beach, California, Hamburger Marys is a fun and quirky bar where diner classics are mixed with cocktails and entertainment. Shows range from karaoke to weekly viewing parties for RuPaul’s Drag Race. The food is excellent, and the burgers are some of the best in town.
I love Hamburger Marys! It is always a fantastic experience. I have been to several Hamburger Marys shows and locations over the years, but this one is my favorite by far. Be prepared to spend a lot of money however if you come here, because of the reputation it is not cheap. Most prices are not listed on the menu (at least for drinks). I did find our server to be very kind, but I also felt rushed to decide on my order each time I said I needed more time. (The menu is pretty large and there are a lot of great choices). Our table was pretty wobbly, and the surroundings slightly dirty, but it's a bar so honestly I decided not to say anything although we did consider being asked to be moved to a different table which im sure they would have obliged. Everyone was very kind, like I said I've always had a positive experience when coming here, and of course the queens were incredible! They interacted well with everyone on the floor, and even thanked us for coming as we were leaving. Lots of humor and fun to be had. Humor is definitely 18+ They do exchange money for $1 bills if you need it for tips which is great. They also have an ATM and a gender neutral restroom inside. Parking is easy as it's downtown and in the parking structure the first 2 hours are free. I highly recommend ordering a burger and drinks if you come here. It is worth the extra few dollars for the American Wagyu burger, but the regular one is great as well. They have a large variety of toppings to choose from and will cook it exactly to you specification. The sides are great as well, I always order a salad or the sweet potato fries with mine. As for drinks I ordered the berry Martini, which was my second time ordering it and it's amazing. I also recommend the appletini. Their margaritas are also amazing and served with a great portion. If you live nearby and want to frequent, or just want it as a souvenier I highly recommend ordering your drink in the Mary Leg. It is pretty cool, and I belive they give you a discount if you bring it back at future visits. Overall, I would definitely recommend supporting Hamburger Marys it is a historic and iconic spot in the LGBTQ+ bar scene. I would especially recommend it for celebrations, and maybe as an introduction to Drag, because it is a little milder than some other bars. They host a variety of events which I've never been to, but the drag brunch with bottomless mimosas sounds fun. I love Hamburger Marys and the only thing I wish is that it was a little more affordable, especially since our community is so underprivileged. Still a wonderful time if you want to come out just for some drag, and maybe deals on cheap shots. I would recommend coming here expecting to spend $100-200+ if you are having a date, or a celebration.

I really love this spot! Let's just say though, you don't really come for the food. You come for the entertainment. Food - the burgers were alright and the appetizers aren't really anything to scoff over (and they're all fried). They are helpful when you want something to snack on during a show Service - AMAZING! I really love the people working here. From the servers, the staff, performers, all are really great! Ambiance - A no-nonsense, no-judging space. Good vibes only. I brought my mom in for her first drag show and we did the Mother's Day lunch. The performers were awesome and my mom said she definitely wanted to come back again. Tipping for the performers is cash only, but no fret. If you didn't bring any cash bills, they have staff members with plenty and you can pay them for exchange. Although we did make a reservation, we still waited outside for about 30 min or so to start entering the venue. They were probably still clearing and setting up from the previous show, but all good. It was just really, really hot.

It was a vibe. I loved the performances, especially Selenas with an S! The appetizer platter was delicious. The drinks were good. Should've paid attention to the prices of the drinks. The waiter offered mexican candy shots, our dumb selves fell for it.😁 Overall a cool experience but not somewhere I would want to visit again.

Finally got to came and enjoy dinner and a show. I had a great time and enjoy every minute of it. I ordered Kobe Burger with tater tots with a classic margarita. Very good and worth every bite! Make sure to break change to tip your performers. Will come back again ❤️

The performance was great and the queens were amazing!! However, the food was not good. We ended up finding a hair in the sampler and got a new one but we’ were missing Mac and cheese balls and the waiter failed To inform us they had ran out. Idk I would go just for the performance but def not worthy it for food or drinks

The queens are amazing always! Wether it's a first Wednesday risque cabaret, or a deelicious Thursday you will have a fantastic time. They do have an ATM and they do have someone with dollar bills going around that you can exchange your big bills for. TIP THOSE QUEENS!! the downfall to this fine fine establishment can be the service. I'm not sure if it's common to be short-staffed almost everyday or if that's how they run business, but you may have to wait up to 30mins for just drinks (it was a small crowd, with hardly anyone at the bar so for drinks to take 30 mins was ridiculous) Regardless of the day of the week the queens will ensure you have a great experience

My GF and I took her daughter to the 3:30 pm NON Drag show . It was her 1st time there and our first time at the afternoon show. We reserved VIP , still had to wait in the line . After waiting for over an hour to be seated, we were literally crammed in between two tables. EVERY Time the waiter came, we had to stand up and adjust our seats so he could take other customers orders. We ordered food, it took 45 minutes to an hour for a few burgers. They serve drinks in dingy plastic cups. I had bourbon but woke up with a headache. It wasn't bourbon I can guarantee that. There were 4 performers that did not perform. They literally walked in circles, lip singing and collecting dollar bills! No show whatsoever. A total waste of time, energy and money. They use to entertain the crowd. Now, it's NOTHING!!! Don't believe the hype on their website. The worst "show" ever. I want a refund. 😂

We went to the Sunday Brunch showing and it was such a fun time. This was for a friend's birthday, and the hostess did a fun little bit by bringing all the birthday girls up front for everyone to wish them a Happy Birthday. We had 4 Queens putting in work and they all did a great job. Definitely packed in tight. The menu is plentiful and if you get the bottomless mimosas, they definitely make sure to keep your glass full (or in their case your boot). The inside is so fun decorated with shoes all over the walls, loud music, and a great show. The entrance fee was low but the food cost was high, so be prepared to easily spend $50+ on one person if you're planning on eating. The food being pretty expensive was good, I got one of their cheeseburgers which was $25+ for the burger and fries. They aren't able to split checks, but they can charge up to 2 cards for one bill. If you forgot to get one's, they have someone walking around with change if you wanted to exchange a twenty or more for tips. Before or After the show you can relax on their patio space out front and get some cute photos with your friends. They did mention they bring in special guests, so keep an eye out for any of your favorite Queens from some popular drag shows as they might just be performing here. Overall it was a great experience and I definitely will come back for another show.

I've been here a few times now and each time I have a hope that the service will get better and the food will be as good as it looks. I'll give them this, they are consistent as heck. The service is never good and the food isn't nearly as good it looks. It's unfortunate because it's a good location and they do have a cool patio. Rustic but charming Mexican style taco place. Food is good. Some things I liked more than others. For instance, I thought the salsa that came with the tortilla chips was a little heavy on the vinegar. Add I wasn't sure about the pork belly, onion, and pineapple chunks taco. Just a bit odd for me. The beef skirt tacos were awesome. Easily the best part of the meal was the bread pudding and ice cream dessert. Waitress staff were lovely and really friendly and helpful. So why four stars? Why would a trendy eating place in Long Beach put a person at the front door on 'meet and greet' duties who possesses less personality than my shoelace? It beggars belief. Utterly devoid of any interest in the guests. Mopes back to the front door with iPhone in hand checking social media for a better life.... Sigh

For Sunday brunch I had the Benedict, it was tasty but for $14 the portion size was too small, it should have come with potatoes or some other side. My wife had the potato chorizo tacos, they were well seasoned but unfortunately they were dry. We ordered Bloody Mary’s but they should have been called Citrus Mary’s, I think they used a citrus base that unfortunately overwhelmed the traditional Bloody Mary flavors. The food was good but the portion sizes were underwhelming and for that reason I wouldn’t return for brunch. I do however intend on visiting Padre for dinner someday because it’s a beautiful restaurant, staff were friendly and although I did have an issue with portion size the flavor profile was on point.

I had a couple El Citron's ( basically a mezcal old fashion), a Oaxacan mezcal cocktail, and another cocktail with some sort of coconut cream and a couple of reposado shots (La Gritona (excellent btw)). After browsing the menu on our phones we ended up with a medley of appetizers on the happy hour prices. Chips and salsa, guacamole, loaded fries, loaded nachos, yucca fries, beef and veggie empanadas. Let me tell you to just skip everything else and just go for the veggie empanadas and you won't be disappointed. I did end up sampling/ sharing some entrees. Plate presentation was on point, but flavor, overall though, the plates missed the mark for me. Especially, the lomo saltado. I know every chef has their own take on entrees, but to me the essence of a lomo saltado($19) are the fries and then the flavor savory meat. It seems like the meat here was on the sweeter side. And putting them in a bowl vs a flat plate just makes the fries soggy by the time we get them. Barbacoa plate ($15), although tender, was underwhelming. Finally, I ordered a New York chimichurri steak ($22-23?) but the chimichurri sauce didn't have that usual tarty, herbaceousness chimichurri's are known for. Lastly, of the three desserts that were ordered (churros ($12), banana chmichanga ($12), and tres leches bread pudding ($10)), I'd probably just come back for the banana chmichanga. The churros were small, slightly overcooked. Tres leches bread pudding was somewhat dense for me. Positives for Padre: cocktails, veggie empanadas, banana chmichanga, ambiance, full bar, oh and family/stroller friendly. Our server Keish (?) Was awesome! Not so positive: parking. Almost non existent, unless it's street parking or I missed a secret parking lot somewhere. I would come back to give it another try.

I ordered the Aguachile, which was so good, had a strong flavor of mint which I’m not use to but I just avoided big bites if the mint. The Guacamole was good but the salsa was soooo good! I ordered birria tacos and chicken a pastor and my son ordered chicken a pastor and didn’t really like the pineapple on top but I didn’t mind. Meat was soft and marinated delicious. I did have to add salt and lime to my meat but that’s just me. The tortillas weren’t too Special. By the looks I was expecting more fresh home made taste. Overall the vibe and decor was a vibe!

Great spot - from the interior aesthetic to the spacious patio and rooftop dining areas, with the best happy hour deals to boot! The cocktails are well-made and an absolute steal at $7 (from 4pm-7pm). The food is also delicious and I wish I had photos of all the ones we tried. The staff are also very welcoming and very attentive. All in all an awesome spot that I will be returning to many times.

Riley's on 2nd Street is a laid-back establishment that offers high-quality pub grub and an extensive selection of craft brews on tap. The venue features a pleasant patio area and multiple TVs for sports enthusiasts. As a popular spot among locals, it is ideal for enjoying drinks with colleagues or catching a game at the bar. Riley's takes pride in serving excellent pizzas topped generously with various ingredients. For those who prefer something other than beer, the sangria comes highly recommended.
Our group went to Riley’s on 2nd to celebrate my birthday and to celebrate US as mom’s too! My last name is Riley so I thought this would be the best place to go😆 Our server Cody was awesome and met all our numerous requests with a smile. The food was delicious! We chose the Short Rib Melt and the Cali Chicken sandwiches and we all had the salad.

No vegan options, hence tow 1 star in that, however all of the omnivores I know like the food. Service is great, but this place has the dirtiest bathrooms on 2nd. Blood smears and poop on the bathroom walls (I brought this up to the owner a few weeks ago, and said I’d post a bad review if it wasn’t taken care of, and it’s clearly not). Gross. Service is great, but this place is dirty. It used to be a great place to be. I don’t know why they’re letting the health standards slide like this. It’s seriously a health hazard.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Needed to try some place different so we headed west to Long Beach. Happened to find parking near Riley’s so we headed in. Grabbed a little patio table. It was nice until a loud group sat behind us. We started with a drink and ordered our lunches. Fried chicken sandwich (yes, creature of habit) and a burger for my friend. They were good but nothing special. It was just nice to get out and visit. Would I go back? Absolutely! I would just try something different.

Love Riley's. Definitely a place I go to every time I visit Long Beach. I am trying to try everything on their menu and so far I love everything. My fav has to be the brussel sprouts and the tater tots.

Great food. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Only thing I thought was odd was that they allow service animals on the patio, but they're not allowed to sit in your lap.

Not you're normal bar here. Not your normal bar food here. I think they have an actual chef or something. Ribeye steak... bacon brie burger...damn good! Happy hour... damn good! People here...damn good! Excellent place to visit to eat and drink. Thanks to all of you @Riley's LB. Love, T

First off, the service is what I consider the standard of what bars and restaurants should be. The servers/waiters are very attentive and friendly. Drinks are made well. Under pours can be disappointing, but here they serve proper portions. Food is good. Better than chain restaurants for sure. At the right time a day, it has an amazing view and vibe filled with fun people.

The 908 is a contemporary eatery located in Long Beach, California, serving elevated comfort food. Situated near the Long Beach Exchange Hangar food hall, it pays homage to its zip code, 90808, symbolizing its commitment to the local community. The restaurant features a bright and airy atmosphere with a large bar and television for sports enthusiasts. A notable mural showcasing iconic destinations in Long Beach adds charm to the space.
Lively eatery in a fun collection of shops, bars, and restaurants near the Long Beach Hangar Complex. Enjoyed a sandwich and the Happy Hour drinks and appetizers before heading off to a show in Long Beach. Lots of people out enjoying their Friday night.

The 908 in Long Beach totally hit the spot. It has that rare combo of clean, elevated food with a chill, modern vibe that makes you want to stay a while. I started with the Caesar salad and added grilled chicken—super crisp romaine, fresh shaved parm, and a house-made dressing that actually had flavor (not the watery stuff). The chicken was grilled just right—juicy, clean, no grease. Simple and perfect. The Thai Curry Sea Bass was the star of the night. The fish was buttery soft, and the curry had just the right amount of warmth without being heavy. Loved the fresh veggies and the light rice on the side. It was flavorful but still felt light—like the kind of dish you feel good eating. Ended the night with the berry cobbler and ice cream and oh my god, it was SO good. Tart, sweet, warm berries with a golden, buttery topping and melty vanilla ice cream. I don’t even normally go for dessert, but this was 100% worth it. The whole place has this relaxed, welcoming energy. Everyone on the team was so friendly and kind—just really good people. It’s modern without being cold, buzzy without being loud. Honestly, it’s one of those places you instantly want to come back to. Already planning a return trip for brunch.

Great place to have dinner with friends or family - a variety of options on the menu (with some very unique dishes like the pho burger) and always amazing service from their staff. A little bit on the pricier side but they also have a happy hour on weekdays from 3-6pm for $4 off appetizers and $2 off of draft beer! Their outdoor patio is always busy and it looks like a great place to host an event. We tried their lobster roll, calamari, and steamed mussels this time. Their lobster roll was pretty small and had too much butter for my taste (it was dripping the whole time 😅) but the calamari and mussels were tasty as always!

A fantastic restaurant with a wide variety of food options. I ordered the braised short rib, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent; our server was both friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere is vibrant, with the choice of cozy indoor seating or a pleasant outdoor patio. The menu offers something for everyone, including fish, shrimp, salads, and various meat dishes. Highly recommended!

We had food delivered due to my surgery. We ordered the double pork chop and the salmon. The pork chop was the bomb. It was fantastic. The salmon was overcooked and a bit salty. I was a bit disappointed since I usually have great food from The 908.

Here on a Friday night. Love the place! The security guard, Matthew, very friendly and very professional. The manager Chris and bartender Bri, just went above and to take care me and my friends. The food is amazing ! I definitely recommend this place!

The place looks chill, Went there for that Whiskey wonderland event and paid 80.00 for the Vip ticket only to Find the Vip Room was over hyped, Advertised like the had a full Pappy Van Winkle Line up and other high end Bottles Like GTS, but only had VW12 and EHT Small Batch and RYE, with a Weller 12. Also Old fitz 10 which was half gone already, along with a Parkers Heritage Rye 10 year half gone. 🤣 The worst part wasn't the bottles but the fact that the guy pouring them was shaking and couldn't pour half a taster cup which was about .25 oz to begin with. Half he spilled on his fingers and the other times when he handed it over to you more spilled from his Shaky hands. I offered to hold the taster cup so he could pour a full taster and he refused. Then every bottle he opened he poured himself a taster and was drinking more bourbon than he was giving out. 😂. They really need someone with a steady hand for that Job. Honestly overall it was fun but VIP was not worth it. They had Smash Burgers which were decent for 14.00 but no fries or sides of any kind 🤦‍♂️. The Vendors in the Parking lot had better knowledge than anyone in VIP and could pour me a full taster thank goodness. Jack Daniels had some good pours and Buffalo trace had Stagg Jr, also Widow Jane and Starward Were cool. Great service everywhere except VIP.

I came in to watch the Love Island reunion and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I work in the industry, so I understand how service can vary, but this fell short of even basic hospitality. There’s no table-side service, which I was fine with, but when my food was brought to the bartender, I asked a staff member for sharing plates, utensils, and napkins. She told me to go to the end of the bar and get it myself. The bartender caught on to the lack of hospitality and offered to get them for me, which I appreciated. Throughout my visit no one ever checked in, and when it came time to pay, the bartender handed me the payment screen without showing me an itemized bill. When I asked for it, he told me twice he couldn’t provide one and only after pressing further did I finally get it. I was surprised to find an automatic 18% gratuity added to my bar tab—there were no signs posted about this, and it’s typically reserved for larger parties, not individual guests. Considering the service I received, this felt especially inappropriate. Overall, I will not be returning and can’t recommend this place.

Such a great outdoor space. We loved the food (assorted sliders, zucchini sticks with spicy aioli, shoestring fries, chicken sandwich and a few delicious craft beers. The bartender and waitress were super cool too. We will be back. So happy they were open before noon on Sunday. Other options in the area are closed until 12:30pm which can be impractical for brunch and lunch drinking.

Small venue, but it gets packed with a diverse crowd. Seems a little more chill than the location on Pine Street. They play Rock and Rap plus the jukebox option. Great spot to jump off your bar hoping on 2nd street.

I'm not sure why they let so many people in, if theres ever hardly any space to walk in and out or to even get to the bathroom. Womens bathroom - near the pool table and the men can see inside (since bathroom is so small) - no privacy.
Guadalupe R — Google review
Ive been to Shannon’s a couple times it’s a cool decent place to go to. Group of 6 we arrived last night around 10/11 PM. I wasn’t drinking but everyone else in my group was drinking moderately. Around 11pm my brother-in-law tells me the female bar tender didn’t want to serve him anymore. My group waited patiently and wasn’t rude when ordering drinks. She then told the other bartenders to no longer serve us. She had an issue with the way my brother-in-law tipped her.. But my group never tipped her less than $2. The night wasn’t over because they were going to continue paying for drinks and tipping her continuously . But she refused her service to us probably because my group is Mexican. She even told the busser to kick us out but he seen no reason to kick us out and she even informed the other bar tenders ( male) to stop serving as well. He still served us though, I give the male employees a 10/10. I was sober enough to know she was drinking on the job. I also found out that she was the manager . 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 We were just trying to enjoy our night. Thought Shannon’s was the spot but I guess not. Poor professionalism on your part Shallie.

The neighborhood along 2nd street has an old town vibe. People calling each outer by name, waving, hugging, and warmly greeting visitors. I popped into this Irish "dive bar" with friends for drinks and played a few games of pool. Toons from juke box easily represented the eclectic crowd gathered inside. Loved the money plastered over the walls and ceilings. Next stop on....

A small but quaint speakeasy with fabulous drinks and food. The music was average…sometimes we’d be listening to some upbeat EDM vibe music and then all of sudden you’d hear hard core metal which wasn’t keeping with the theme. Eh, was never really a fan of this place. Management doesn't make the right decision when it comes to figuring out who should get kicked out. Someone started a fight with me and I got banned from this place. A friend of mine also got blamed for someone else taking edibles next to him and was told not to come back. Also, this bar is in contention with the Stache Bar for ugliest looking bar bathrooms in Long Beach. Update: I've heard more awful stories about this place. I heard the owner is a misogynist and that someone else got banned for preventing a shooting. Cecily still won't let me back in here, so whatever you do don't tip her. Tip Lyla instead. If only she and/or Blake would take the time to discuss my side of the story or learn to have empathy for people who are neurodivergent, this whole thing could've been avoided, but they haven't. Update 2: I take it back, most of the regulars here suck as well. They love talking shit about me behind my back for being neurodivergent and mentally ill despite a lot of them being mentally ill.

Bakery
Gusto Bread, located in Long Beach, is an artisanal bakery that combines traditional Mexican pastry-making with heirloom grains. The bakery offers a variety of bread loaves, pan dulce, and cookies. Arturo Enciso, the owner, learned baking techniques from around the world before opening the storefront with his partner Ana Belen Salatino in 2020.
We didn’t intend on coming here, but it was an opportunity to try Gusto since there was barely any line on the Saturday morning. We dropped in and grabbed a few bites. Overall, the jamon pastry was really good. The surprising Dijon mustard hit very well and the starch of the bread gives a nice balance to it. My favorite of them all. The cheddar jalapeño bread was delicious as well. Very fluffy and has a lot of flavor. If you are savory lover, you should get this one. The Mole empanada was also great. They pack in a lot in that pastry. Very grateful to have the chance to try Gusto. I was lucky that there wasn’t any line but now I see why there is a long line each time.

If your in Long Beach this is a nice bakery with some good quick bites. The food was good, the pastries we're not too sweet which was nice. Coffee was okay but the atmosphere was nice as was the staff. Parking is a bit crowded in the area so you might have to walk over.

I‘m German so I’m very picky with the type of bread I like (and let’s be honest, most „bread“ sold in the US is a disgrace to the original product). I came to Gusto today for the first time and purchased a great looking sourdough loaf. The employee was very knowledgeable and explained all the different type of breads they had available. It was a busy day but he took his time with us. When I cut the bread later at home, I almost teared up. This tastes so close to home and brought back a taste I haven’t experienced for the 5 years I’m living overseas. This is craftsmanship, THANK YOU - your work is highly appreciated and I’m proud to live in a neighborhood with you guys. I will become a regular.
Jessica B — Google review
Best Mexican bakery in California—and not just for traditional pastries. Gusto Bread is a Mexican-influenced artisan bakery, not your average panadería. It’s a fusion that feels just right: thoughtful, balanced, and full of flavor. Let’s start with what makes it stand out: it’s not overly sweet. Unlike most American bakeries that rely on sugar bombs and artificial sweeteners, Gusto lets the real ingredients shine. My taste buds have always been sensitive to that overwhelming sugary assault, so this place? It’s a revelation. I don’t just want sugar—I want texture, layered flavors, creative touches, visual delight, complex aroma, crunch, softness, and yes, even that little moan that comes when food is just that good. Gusto delivers. Take the homemade chocolate cookie—dark chocolate, rich and bold, not that cloying milk chocolate nonsense. Then the oreja—flaky, buttery, and light, the perfect heart-shaped crisp I immediately wanted more of. The alfajor de nuez? It crumbles, then melts, blending nutty warmth with just the right touch of creamy dulce de leche. That’s a party. The cacao concha is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—and I grew up in East LA, it's practically an unofficial Mexican Town in CA. But the true standout is the Nixtamal Queen. It’s lightly sweet, intriguingly sticky, and the softness is irresistible. One bite turns into two… then three. I should’ve bought more. Do the pastries look just as beautiful as they tasted divine? Yes, they do. Each one is a visual feast—intentional, artistic, and mouthwatering before you even take a bite. If I had one note: skip the croissants. They’re fine, but average—and let’s be real, I didn’t come to a Mexican bakery expecting French patisserie perfection. That’s not a fault, just a boundary of the genre. Bottom line: Come hungry. Try everything. Don’t skip the Nixtamal Queen. Gusto Bread is where tradition meets innovation, and every bite is an experience. No wonder the New York Times puts Gusto Bread on their list of 22 of the best bakeries in America.

I love Gusto for enjoying a coffee and a pastry, plus a dorado loaf and a bag of crostini to take home. Everything is delicious and I really appreciate that they use reusable dishes for dine-in coffee orders, water cups, etc., rather than single-use disposables. I also really appreciate that they opted to keep their parklet for outdoor dining.

Ordered the Nixtamal Queen and Jamon Roll. I really liked the former - crunchy and doughy, with savory corn masada in the middle. Definitely the star between the two. I enjoyed the jamon, however, not full of meat or flavor inside the pastry, so the opposite of the Nixtamal Queen, which is packed with flavor and texture. Gusto lives up to the label as a world-class bakery. Excited to try the other menu items. There was a consistent line around 12 pm, and some menu items will sell out, so come early!

Great customer service. Loved the bolillo, empanada and alfajores. Really all their pastries are top notch. The coffee on the other hand was lackluster and overpriced. I was excited to try the atole latte, but the maiz cream did not add any flavor. The special matcha was just alright. But would definitely go back for the baked goods. They have specials on day old bread as well.

You are paying most for a charming service, tip them more. Without them , I don't think I would come back again. Hard to park, if you are driving. Wednesday 8-10am street sweeping, Friday , I'll say for trash picked up. Bike rack (kind of) nearby. Few free parking at front on the street, couple 30 mins parking further down. There are outdoor seating ,waiting area, water for little pals. Busy street, not sure if I would like to sit out side. Now, pastry, you get what they have. They serve as is, not going to warming it up if you request. It was OK ,for that price I expected more. Too sweet for me not as other reviews stated. Again, you are supporting for the lovely service.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Long Beach, The Stave Bar is a vintage-inspired cocktail haven that beckons both locals and visitors alike. This charming establishment boasts an impressive selection of over 100 whiskeys, including scotches, ryes, and bourbons, all served at a stunning 60-foot angled oak bar.
Very nice place. Bartenders are knowledgeable and funny. The atmosphere is light and fun. Great drinks. There's inside and outside seating. Come check it out!

Light snack for purchase, no food sold. Bartender knows her stuff and makes great cocktails. Would come back for lounging and drinking!

Very chill bar. Great to watch games at. The patio outside is cool except there's always someone smoking a cigar which is fine just not my favorite odor. Other than that, bartenders are great, nice and attentive. Drinks are good they don't suck and the crowd is good. Can't complain

I used to tend bar, so I can't fathom how every person working behind it here was actively trying to ignore patrons that were trying to get their attention to order. It's specifically in the job title. From bartenders to barbacks - I've never seen anything like it.

Great little bar, house beers were tasty. Bar tender was knowledgeable and knew her stuff. Great laid back atmosphere, even had some excitement with numerous fire trucks rolling up to an apartment fire next door.

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the lack of professionalism and basic safety provided by security at this establishment. While my group of female friends and I were being harassed, the security guard stood by, watched, and even LAUGHED! Security’s job is to protect patrons, yet we were left feeling unsafe, disrespected, and unsupported. Allowing harassment to happen right in front of them, and mocking it, is absolutely unacceptable. This behavior shows a complete disregard for guest safety and wellbeing.

This is my number one go to bar in long beach whenever I'm looking to get a drink. The drinks that are made here don't compare to some of the other local bars. They have something called whiskey Wednesday's here where it's half off all whiskey, I'm not really a big whiskey fan and this being a whiskey bar I still come here over other places because of all their other great options. Ask for Brian, he's a great bartender and he'll make you some 5 star drinks. If you are reading this review and are looking for a place to go don't even think about it, come here!

Lmao Mr. White guy in the back drinking while on shift than got mad that we didn’t leave a tip🤣🤣 he said “did you put 0 on the tip” lmao YES I did. The lemon drops were very trash. He went to the back and made the drinks, BUT everybody else got their drinks made in front of them. Terrible service talking about “we don’t do that here” you clearly do any other BAR spot adds that to the bill. You wanna tip come polite and give us the best service experience when coming in like you did every other light skin person that was inside . And there no food by the way so make sure u eat before you come because it’s dui central over here.

Cocktail bar
Sweetwater Saloon, located in Long Beach, is a popular lesbian-centric bar with a laid-back atmosphere. The bar is known for its welcoming environment and mostly female patrons. It offers cheap and heavy drinks, two pool tables, and a rockin' jukebox for entertainment. The venue also features hot bartenders serving stiff drinks as well as light bites, including food specials like Taco Tuesday.
We came to this spot earlier in the day and it was completely empty. The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming. The lady at the bar was friendly. The pool tables are in pretty good condition, although some of the cues are a little broken. Overall, we had a very good experience at this spot.

The service was absolutely terrible. The man serving us continuously left the bar to smoke or watch the football game. I had to flag him down three times just to receive service. He also was being more attentive to the white customers than me and my group of all black women. The bartender also stole money from us. He allowed two of my friends sitting at different sides of the bar to pay for the same drink (each of them verbally described which drinks they were paying for and the cash was taken from each of them separately). He also lied to my friend about the amount of cash she gave him when she asked for her change back. I am honestly so disgusted and disappointed in the establishment. I was excited to visit as it was recommended to me by a friend only to be discriminated against and stolen from.

Lovely little bar in a wonderful part of Long Beach. Juke box and good drinks and pool table. I was there in a random weekday afternoon so it was quiet then. I'm sure it's wall to wall people on weekends! I'll definitely go back.

I had a memorable evening 🍷 & playing pool with all of the friendly, chill locals that wandered in. Hogged the pool table with a diverse group of male & female challengers.Neighborhood bar for all with the atmosphere y'all gravitate towards...dance, prance & romance if that's what you're after (or not!) My one beef was wthe bartender at closing. I'm aware of his responsibilities to get us out when everyone's feeling no pain @2 am. Closing....not an easy job! Perhaps one can attribute his fatigue & impatience trying to get us the hell out that resulted in my perceived rude encounter with El Jefe right at the end of a fun evening. Tone & attitude translate, my friend. Ya gotta be firm but not antagonistic.👹 I tipped 50% for 3 drinks at 11 per. One would hope that might mollify a prickly attitude. Just take a deep breath next time,Sir, and EVERYONE will benefit...CHEERS!!🤗🤪💮🌟

Friendly queer dive bar and community hub. The bar staff are great! Cash only, but drink prices are very reasonable.

I felt incredibly uncomfortable in this place. The worker was horrible. He took the extra change of my friend's money and lied when she asked for the rest back about how much was left over. And then he lied to me as well and didn't tell me someone covered my other friends drink, making me pay for it twice. Completely unacceptable behavior. The whole place should be shut down. Also he wasn't even at the bar the whole time and kept taking smoking breaks.
Rebecca T — Google review
well don't go here if you are a person of color. i and some black friends of mine came in for a drink and a game of pool but during our visit the white male bartender took my (and my friends) money. after i did not receive my change i asked the bartender about the extra money which he insisted was no more than $3 (it was definitely at least ten). then come to find out my friend and i (we were sitting apart) paid for the same drinks twice!! considering that there was less than ten ppl in the bar you can't just label this a "mix up". queer poc should avoid this establishment.

South American restaurant
Selva is a Colombian restaurant in Los Angeles that has gained popularity for its unique and authentic cuisine. Chef Carlos Jurado showcases his talent through dishes like smoked bird, rice and beans, and scallop crudo, which is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The restaurant offers a reinterpretation of Colombia's rich culinary traditions with dishes such as Peruvian scallop crudo, seared scallops on tender arepas, and Bandeja Paisa.
I came here for Happy Hour on my bday. We really enjoyed it. The happy hour menu is small but all the items are great. I loved the Mushroom Croquettes. Very well prepared, but the serving size is unfortunately very small. The sweet plantains are great and a good portion. I also liked the Arepas which go very well with all the other bite size dishes.
Jasmin H — Google review
Colombian restaurant with a small but diverse menu mainly geared toward gluten free dishes. The menu is small and simple with dishes about the size of tapas. It is best to order several dishes and share them with friends. The drink menu has a little bit for everyone with the house cocktails definitely worth a try. As for the dishes, the chicken wings and fried rice are definitely two to get. For drinks I would go with the rum punch, but be warned..it is strong and packs a wallop. Decor is nice, but sit away from the door on the cold nights.
Harvey — Google review
Whoa! Okay, this place is actually really good. I ordered almost everything. They were out of the smoked chicken, but I got the wings, and if that chicken is as good as the wings, I can see why they ran out! The flavor was insane. I would go back for their salad alone. Everything the server recommended was delicious! My faves were the wings, salad, arepas 💯 will be going back!
Marlen F — Google review
I so badly wanted to love this restaurant. And I do intend to go back to see if some of what I experienced was a fluke. On the plus side- the flavors were really good of everything I ordered. I also appreciate that the menu was clear for those with dietary restrictions. But heres where they lost me. Handicap parking requires a buffer area for loading and unloading. That buffer zone was overflowing with garbage bins so the person parked there needed to take up 2 spots to safely get in and out. Their parking in general is extremely tight with just enough space to drive in OR out - one vehicle at a time. There is technically street parking also tho. Short ribs were the toughest thing I’ve tried to cut, even after asking for a steak knife and giving up on the butter knife originally provided. It was a lot of work to try and eat.
Jack — Google review
Where do I even start? My sister picked this amazing place to celebrate her Birthday, since we are from Cali, she did her research and found out that the chef is from Cali as well! Food was so good 10 points, super fresh and very tasty, the tostadas and the papas took us home for a few seconds. I would like to highlight Jack our server, he was amazing! Definitely recommend Selva and for sure we will be back!
Fernando O — Google review
Selva is a great restaurant that serves South American fusion. Dinner is pricey and tapas / family style. For two, we got 5 or 6 plates and were satisfied. There are a lot of options to try, but the highlights are the fried rice and skewers. The Yuka fries were awesome too. I really recommend maybe trying this place for brunch, I imagine it would be less expensive. We ended up paying about $170 for this dinner, which is more than I expected to spend for the night.
Joshua P — Google review
Just a reminder that the dishes are Colombian-inspired and not necessarily Colombian, and it is more of a South American fusion. The dishes we ordered are amazing, they were flavorful and the sauces definitely complemented the food. If I were to rank my food, chicharron, arepas, and arroz chauffa on top. Obleas and mushroom croquettes in the middle. Tamales would be last. Lulo was a unique drink also, the waitress said it was a fruit in between kiwi & pear. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. My only issue was the portion sizes. While it does say small plates, I’d say it’s not worth the price. It’s a type of restaurant where you want to try new food but must have that extra disposable restaurant money. Overall, great service and food!
Woop D — Google review
Great concept, pretty space, nice design, the service was good, it was all lovely. The food though did not work for me personally. We had the chicharrones, which to me was too fatty and not crispy enough. The chicken broth lacked flavor and the sip I took was all fat. None of us enjoyed it. The braised greens were over seasoned. The gnocchi was a confusing dish. The scallops were really well cooked but the gnocchi themselves were okay but odd. The stand out dish was the branzino. Absolutely delicious, enticingly smoky flavor, perfectly cooked. The wine we had was delicious, service was friendly, and we had a nice time.

Located at 136 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90813, The Grasshopper may seem like an ordinary dive bar from the outside. However, once inside, visitors are greeted with a sophisticated and tastefully decorated interior featuring ample bar seating and comfortable booths. Patrons have praised the establishment for its excellent drinks offered at reasonable prices and its diverse selection of spirits. The ambiance is described as cozy and elegant, with a clean bathroom that complements the overall theme.
Great place to go off the beaten path. A little pricey but the service makes up for it. They genuinely care about your experience and having a great time and enjoying yourself. If you are looking for a change of pace this is a great choice.

Thanks for the sanitary explanation! I'll update my review. Drinks are good. The bartender was good and fast. The patio is a nice touch, except it closes early and everyone has to move inside. Parking is typical for the location. The store behind the bar wants $10 to use their lot... Saw a pizza oven outside but got there too late to try it out. A taco stand would be gangbusters! Not a dive bar, they put care into the atmosphere.
Antony O — Google review
Been coming here since they opened, often with friends who DJ or join us for a fun night out. But our most recent visit? Absolutely unacceptable. We came with a big group—easily 20 people throughout the night—and noticed something shady. The female barback repeatedly grabbed our drinks while they were still full and bolted off with them. This didn’t feel accidental—it came off like a calculated move to get us to keep buying more. It happened to multiple people we were with. When we flagged it with the bartender, the response was incredibly dismissive. They offered a single comped drink for the whole group, as if that made up for multiple stolen ones worth over $100. Later, when some of us went to close out and raise the issue again, the bartender literally waved us off mid-sentence and walked away. Completely rude and unprofessional. Avoid!

Vibes are great. Atmosphere varies but always just right. Staff is always slightly rude, but I guess that’s keeping with the old school dive feel. It doesn’t offend me enough to care, cause I still like coming back. lol

Came in with some friends. The drinks are fairly priced and Friday night was more of a Latin night. Good atmosphere depending what's going on.

This is a review for my most recent experience here (10/6). I had such a great time here on Cumbia night the week prior (9/28) that I brought other friends here most recently. The staff that night was outstanding. Great service, especially the bartender closest to dj booth kept the drinks coming fast and with a great attitude. The dj (a pair of women) kept the crowd moving and having a blast. Fast forward a week later and the staff is terrible. No drinks for 20 minutes and the entire bar is waiting for a drink. Look down the line and see no hope of having one. The staff has a miserable attitude, particularly the bearded man nearest the dj booth. The bartender with a "brujeria" hat was the only one with a sense of urgency. The dj (house dj) that night could simply not read the crowd and i unfortunately looked very silly to my friends about this spot that I had previously praised so highly.

Didn't know what to expect from the outside. Service was good and no complaints with the drinks. price was very affordable. Would go again.

This was my second time here. First it was for dinner, and today we went for brunch or at least I thought brunch! But we had drinks and shareable food instead. The place is super cute and very spacious. There were 5 of us and we had a nice big table with couches. They had a DJ playing music. It was such a beautiful day accompanied by a really nice view of the water. All the drinks were really good and we also enjoyed our food. Between 12-2, they had a happy hour and the drinks were about 12$ and pretzel bites and a few other things were around 10$. I’ve never been here late at night but from the looks of it, it’s easily a lounge/club at night.
Duyen T — Google review
Went on a Saturday night and it was full. Decent crowd with mostly people in the late 30’s to mid 40’s. Lots of lounge seating and very spacious. I didn’t pay for parking nor was there an entrance fee at the time I arrived.

I attended a private event here and was so happy because I've always wanted to check this place out. First off, let's talk about the view it faces the water which was nice. The drinks were spectacular, and the pizza was amazing! I honestly couldn't decide which one I liked the best. The staff was great and this place has such a cool vibe. Lots of cool artwork and music.
G S — Google review
I definitely prefer the vibe here over the Huntington Beach location, especially at night the mood just hits different. Drinks are decent, nothing mind blowing. Service could be better though felt like I had to get their attention a few times. Came on a Thursday night and most of the servers were hanging around the bar instead of checking tables.
Karen G — Google review
Super neat night club! Great layout design (open space, dim alabaster lights, and pool table, etc.), so the dynamic of people moving around feels perfect. The drinks are expensive, and the music is loud. The people (including bouncers and security!) are also very sweet. I’d want to come back :-)
Soefae C — Google review
The Bungalow in Long Beach has a great location and the overall aesthetic of the place is really impressive at first glance — it looks amazing and definitely gives off a fun, upscale vibe. However, our experience was mixed. Right from the entrance, the security staff came off as unprofessional — one of them seemed either drunk or high, which was definitely a red flag. Once we made it to the patio area, the atmosphere quickly shifted. Despite the beautiful setup, the patio was noticeably dirty, which took away from the otherwise cool vibe. On the bright side, the service was solid and the staff inside were attentive. The music was good and definitely set the mood for a fun night. Drinks, however, were pretty hit-or-miss — I'd rate them between a 2 and a 5 depending on what you order. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re just looking to have some casual fun, enjoy the music, and hang out with friends — but don’t expect anything beyond that. It has potential, but some details really need attention. Do not order any kind of food.
Gabriel S — Google review
I came to Bungalow in Long Beach with my sister and stepped outside for a moment to get another friend. When I tried to go back in, security refused to let me in and wrongly assumed I was drunk completely untrue. I asked for the manager, and instead of helping, one of the security guards walked over to another guy and they both started laughing and talking like it was a joke. Extremely unprofessional. This used to be one of my favorite spots I was even here during their grand opening and worked in the same plaza. It’s shocking how far downhill the customer service has gone. They didn’t used to have TSA-style body checks either now it feels like a scam or intimidation tactic. The manager seriously needs to replace these rude employees with professionals who actually listen and treat guests with respect. I will never come back. Bungalow lost a loyal customer today.

Fern's Cocktails is a lively bar with a rock and punk atmosphere, offering drink specials such as shots and beers. It attracts a diverse crowd of locals who gather to play pool on the slightly worn tables and enjoy affordable drinks. The old-school jukebox plays rock & roll tunes, and occasionally live punk and rock bands take the stage. While some patrons have criticized the service quality, others appreciate the unpretentious dive bar vibe.
I love this place! What I love about this place is that they have cheap alcohol and cheap pool. This is a cool punk bar. It does get packed when they have live music. I really wouldn't call this a singles bar where you go try to pick up women more like you meet up friends here

The male bartender here sucks. Dude over charged us, and poured the weakest drinks ive ever had at a bar. I dont understand how he can suck so hard at his job. His customer service was extremely poor. He kept losing track of who ordered what drinks. When I ordered my drink he would serve 5 or 6 people before bringing us what we ordered. It took 20 minutes for him to close us out. I canr give this place 1 star because every other bartender is amazing. The dude for the week night shift sucks!

Always my favorite bar in L B. Has lost much of it's grungy punk look/feel but punk roots still there. Feels safer...lol Bastard on tap!!! Miss cheap PBR on tap. Pool tables. DJ. Live bands. Juke box has more variety for good or bad. Plenty of seating. Some lot parking. Opens 2pm.

Some complain about the poor service here. It's terrible, that's true. Stand there and stare straight at a bartender and there's a good chance they'll miss you. Also, this place served me the worse Long Island Ice Tea I've ever had. It was from a mix. A MIX!!! I've never heard of that. But, it's a local dive bar, and true to form. Cheap drinks, a smell you can't quite pin-point, and people who look 3 steps from death. But yet, I love Fern's. There have been lots of changes to the bar through the years both inside and by who frequents it. But consistently are the tattooed, the pierce, the spiked, the grunge, the bald, the loud, the doesn't quite fit his friends at the table... It's a fun place. Parking is terrible, but everywhere is on 4th so whatevs.

Patrions smoke cigarettes in the main walk areas and by the front entrance of this bar. In the way of coming or going foot traffic. The known required distance for smoking is 25 feet from any public building, and 25 feet from any door or window. Just for some generally known information. There is an area in the back, or in the alley and this may be used. It would seem that the patrons think that may do what they want at the expense of others. Just what it seems. The bar tenders on duty (acting manager) may also be aware and support all who are at the bar. This would include supporting other who do business in the area. In other words enforcement of the current smoking law may be explained. To support all who do business in the surrounding area as well. Show some consideration as well. I am sure there is a deeper understanding at this time.

This place is a great choice to come for a cheap drink. The bartenders are pretty friendly from my experience and are really patient with patrons who have a bit too much. The only downside is that it can get kind of packed depending on which day you come and there's not a ton of spots in the parking lot. Even with that the drinks are cheap and the bartenders are competent. Check it out if you're in the area.

Classic hole in the wall dive bar. The aesthetics aren’t great, but the prices are reasonable, the bartenders and regulars are friendly, and the bathrooms are surprisingly nice (newly renovated). The music fluctuates from being totally fine to being unbearably loud, so even though it’s a small room you end up shouting at your drinking mates all night. On the plus side, it’s one of the only places that’s open after 10pm in this area.

Excellent Filipino fusion food. Service was excellent. Had the adobo rice, chicharrones, mushroom, salmon and carbonara. Also had both desserts. They were all good, but the adobo and salmon were above the rest and the definite highlights. The salmon was cooked to perfection, likely top 3 best salmon I've ever had anywhere. -1 star because I made reservations for outdoor seating, but was told indoor only (even when there was seating available outside). Never fear, definitely worth revisiting to see if the next go around is better.

Made 11:30 am reservations for a party of 4 through Yelp (super easy to make). Arrived at 11:10 am on a Sunday and we were seated right away. The place was absolutely empty. No one else was seated until 12:40 pm. A starting note: Our service was not great (long wait for food, starters arrived after entrees, and 1 entree was forgotten about) but I am assuming it was due to the fact that they had a wedding reception going on outside. They did notify us that they were short staffed too. So for that reason, this review is solely on their ambiance and food quality not service. I would give this place another try for their service in the future. We ordered the following from the Brunch Menu: -House mimosas (3/5) These were pretty standard, probably more orange juice than sparkling than I’m used to. -Salmon Benedict (4/5) * The actual salmon Benedict was great! The side potatoes though were very soft. Almost mashed potatoes soft so was disappointed from a personal preference perspective. -Remix Brunch Burger (4.5/5)* The burger was great with the sauce. The fries were limp though. So disappointed from a personal preference again. -Pork Cheek Adobo & Fried Egg (3.5/5) From the regular menu: -Seared Albacore Tostadas (2.5/4) *I would definitely recommend as MUST TRY on their menu We sat outdoors under the sun umbrellas and it was quite nice. Even with the warmer temperatures the shade made it comfortable. The seating area has an unobstructed view of the open park area so it feels like your eating on a picnic day out.

Okay food but portions are not Filipino family style, so just be aware of that. Also, some of the dishes were over salted. We went here for lunch/brunch and will probably not come back. However, I would be curious to try their dinner menu.

Lots of interesting and unique drinks and dishes to choose from. Everything we tried was tasty, especially the mushroom risotto. Service was attentive and friendly, and we liked the trendy atmosphere. Will be coming back!

Beautiful location - it’s located at Long Beach exchange near an office park. The area is super modern and clean and by the airport. It has a lot of restaurants and some stores and shops in the area… super cute! Would not visit the area as a tourist though, it’s more of a localized area. Remix was a great restaurant, clean, sunny, and the effort put in the food was fantastic, and great presentation. The waiter seemed exhausted but was very patient and kind. We ordered the pork cheek adobo and French toast with fried chicken. They were good, The adobo was a bit on the saltier side, and the French toast was more dry on the inside. the raw egg - or something here gave me an upset stomache afterwards but the food was flavorful in the moment. It wasn’t awful. Probably wouldn’t choose to come back here in the future though. But good place to catch up and meet a friend for a first time! The portion size also isn’t massive - just the right amount I’d say.

TL;DR Bagged a feast for the Memorial Day long weekend, literally and figuratively speaking, and enjoyed our Sun-date! A couple of months into the pandemic in 2020, just when the cabin fever, WFH fatigue and the monotony had started to set in, we had received an email from Chef Ross about a Memorial Day holiday weekend special meal at his fantastic restaurant Mix Mix (where my wife and I had celebrated our anniversary in early 2019, and had memorialized the evening in my Google review for the said restaurant) and its sister concerns. Though we live in Irvine, and Mix Mix and Terrace are much closer, this time we ended up ordering from ReMix (which is a bit far away in Long Beach) mainly because their menu items seemed better PLUS they had house cocktails togo! For the feast, they offered multiple yummy options as a part of their tasting menu to make it a multi course meal. Below is a breakdown of what all we had selected prior to booking a pick-up slot for that fateful Sunday evening, and driving to and fro ReMix for grabbing our order. The food items were neatly packed, and we plated them at home and dressed up ourselves a bit to celebrate our Sun-date. Every item was delish, and we thoroughly enjoyed the feast and ended the weekend on a high, one of the very few highs that 2020 had to offer. Bottom line: If you get a chance, please do check out any or all of the three Mix Mix restaurants - not only will your taste buds thank you for it, you'll also be supporting your local independent restaurants! Tasting Menu - Chiccarrones with spicy Vinegar - Albacore Tostada (4 Tostadas, Orange apepper Seared Albacore, Avocado, Japanese dressing, Sriracha Aioli) - Chicken Liver Toast (Onion Jam, Chives) - Roasted Brussel Sprouts (Korean Chili , Citrus, Peanuts) - Pork Cheese Adobo (Garlic Fried Rice , Chimichurri) - Chef's Daily Pasta: Lamb "Osso Bucco" Fettuccine (House Saffron Fettuccine, Braised Lamb Shank , Ricotta , Gremolata) Dessert - Tropical Panna Cotta House Cocktails ToGo for 2 - Noche Fria (Mezcal, Cucumber, Thai Chili, Sweet Cashew Milk, Coconut Water)

Overall good service and great food. The tostadas, fried chicken, clam pasta, shrimp lumpias were fire! Also the drinks really tasty. Cream soda with bourbon... 🤯

Bar & grill
Yard House is a high-end sports-bar chain offering an extensive menu of New American cuisine and a wide selection of draft beers. Located in Long Beach, CA, this upscale-casual waterfront eatery boasts 250 taps featuring imported, craft, and specialty ales & lagers. Whether you're craving a grilled burger with your favorite ale or seared ahi paired with a chilled martini, Yard House caters to all tastes.
A perfect spot for American food and drinks in the sunshine. Located in a very safe, and picturesque spot, over looking the water, its a great spot for dining. We had less than a 5 minute wait for an outside table and were served quickly. Highly recommend trying the ‘mango’ beer, it’s a California special. I ordered the nachos (Disclaimer, they can feed 2/3 people easily!) and my wife ordered the cheeseburger. Classic massive American sized portions. Food was served quickly and all staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We particularly liked that when we requested the bill, it was given immediately (Unlike other restaurants where you wait so long for the bill) it was also a digital bill, and you can pay by card immediately on the tablet they give you. Overall a fantastic experience and will definitely return on my next visit to Long beach.

Nice place if you like vibrant crowds and a busy atmosphere. Food was great. I had a salad and a BLT with avocado. They're obviously known for their yard long and half yard long beer glasses. TVs everywhere to watch games and such. Staff is attentive and place is kept clean. Parking is manageable.

New in town and decided to try this place out for Happy Hour. We ordered The Passion Spritzer, House Margarita and Ulna Light. The Chicken Nachos, Three Cheese Spinach Dip and Boneless Buffalo Wings. Everything was good. The atmosphere was pleasant. I think our server name was Chandler and he was very friendly. Can’t wait to return and try other menu items. 10/10/25

It is a really nice restaurant. So many people. Celebrated my cousin Vanessa”s birthday. With the whole family -tito joel, tita thea, jr, carmen and benny. I really liked the food… especially blue cheese burger which me and aron halved…, i also liked the tuna nachos and seared tuna salad.. Clean cr.

Popped in with a party of 10 for a late lunch. Enrika was great and took care of us very nicely. The menus is designed around a massive selection of different beers. Appetizers, salads and sandwiches are all delicious and varied. The poke nachos were delicious. Pizzas are ok. They have indoor and outdoor seating on the marina with lots is umbrellas. It is also a short walk from the aquarium. I would go back. UrbanCowgill Sept 2025

While visiting California , my husband and I went to see friends in Long Beach, and they suggested we try Yard House—a place we had never heard of before. I ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes, which were pretty good, and my husband had a burger and fries that he said were just okay. We sat out on the patio, and I really appreciated the heaters keeping it cozy, though a little music would have made the atmosphere even better. Overall, I’d definitely go back to try more items on the menu!

Popped in randomly after looking for restaurants in the area since I'm not from here. It was super busy since it was a Friday night, but the staff were incredibly intentive and friendly. I had Alyssa and Bradley and they apologized for the wait and my app going to a different table. I wasn't worried at all, but they took care of me with no fuss. I got the Korean BBQ cheesesteak and it was incredibly good. Definitely wish I was a local so I could try the rest of their menu.

Brewery
Restaurant
Ballast Point Brewing is a renowned contemporary brewery and pub known for its acclaimed beers on tap and refined bar fare. With multiple locations across Southern California, including Long Beach, this establishment offers a variety of delicious and experimental beers owned by Constellation Brands. The Long Beach outpost, opened in 2016, provides an unparalleled harborside experience with its expansive deck overlooking the water.
Have been now a few times and the location of this brewery simply cannot be beat. Amazing views of the ocean and boats coming and going. Easy to order drink and food from the phone and they will bring to the table. Hot dog was massive and the chicken salad fresh. Calamari was a bit over breaded for my taste, but tasted fine nonetheless. Will keep coming back, over and over again.

We love this place and have been here several times. You must enjoy the pretzel and wings plus many options for dinner. Tonight we were lucky to have serving us Auyoung and Emily who were so personable and professional. It’s a must if you are looking for casual vibe and always cold (outstanding) beer!!!
Trish W — Google review
The view and atmosphere of this Long Beach brewery is unbelievable. So much seating with amazing views. Couches with coffee tables are also an option. There are glass barriers to break the wind and they help immensely. Monday night burger and beer is a great deal at $18. Every beer we tried was on point, Sculpins especially. You order from a QR code on your table and food comes pretty fast. Will definitely come again.
Leah B — Google review
Alright, let's get this out the way, this qr code nonsense is bogus and bs. This ain't 2020. I don't know why an establishment that sells alcohol would allow you to order digitally through a system that does not allow you to keep your tab open for the duration of my time there. Yard House, Chili's, and a number of others managed to figure it out. This system literally makes you pay at the end of every transaction. Which means you have to order everything at once or have multiple transactions post to your bank account that could trigger a fraud alert. Good job encouraging me not to spend more money. On top of that, I hope you're at least offering your servers more than the minimum, considering when I come here, I seat myself, I order myself, and I pay without assistance. Your digital system gives me no incentive to tip more than 10%, if I choose to tip at all. I get more "service" at a fast food restaurant. And about the food, nothing we ordered was accurately represented. If you intentionally prepare basic vegetables that are traditionally gluten free (like fries) with gluten, a little notice would be nice. Got the Burrata strawberry salad; which supposedly comes with pickled, fire-grilled, and fresh strawberries (or some combination). I can tell you I got absolutely zero of that. Pre-sliced and refrigerated fruit only. With barely enough pistachio in the crumble to taste anything nutty. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar if at all possible. They do it the old fashioned way there.

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for a beer then just had to have two. On tap from the place is better in the can back home. I didn’t get food this time but the food is killer too. The beer speaks for itself. I could have sat there for hours and drank but my liver wouldn’t be stoked and I would for sure get pulled over.
Josh W — Google review
Panoramic view of the pacific ocean and surrounding bay. Awesome atmosphere. Brewery has wine based cocktails. Got the fish tacos and lobster roll and both needed a little more flavor, no heat or spice. Bland to my taste buds. Michelada was great. Spicy margarita had no spice either. Great place to enjoy the view unfortunately not the best food. Have to order thru a qr code, no table service. Kinda a bother when ordering multiple beers as u have to qr order every time.
Joey M — Google review
The place is great with many good beers. Some, but not all the food items are a bit overpriced for their quality. My only issue here was having one of the worst experiences at a bar. I bought drinks from the female bartenders at the main bar and paid in cash. First issue was how long they took to process this small order. I can tell they panicked when they had to figure out how to handle 25 dollars for 2 drinks. The second issue was the girl who took my order put my change in the tip jar before giving me my receipt. When I asked for my change, she looked bothered and condescendingly asked, "so you want 3 dollars and change back?" She didn't get a tip. She pretty tried tipping herself and really didn't do anything special for me to want to tip. I ended up tipping the guys at the patio bar as they provided really good service.

Bar
EJ's Pub in Bixby Knolls is a lively sports bar with a neighborhood feel, serving classic American dishes and a selection of draft microbrews. The happy hour deals from Monday to Saturday offer great discounts on drinks and appetizers, making it an ideal spot for socializing. The friendly manager and bartender, Richard, adds to the welcoming atmosphere. While some patrons miss the old-school vibe before the renovation, many still appreciate the relaxed ambiance for enjoying top-notch wings and drinks.
This place is AMAZING. It was highly recommended by a good friend/colleague and now I recommend it to all of you. Come for the food and drinks, stay for the atmosphere. The bartender are top notch as well and very friendly. I don't drink alcohol, so Jordan made me a mocktail (strawberry margarita???) and it was delicious. Bring your friends and check this place out. You will not regret it :)

I'm editing this review and it breaks my heart to do it. My boyfriend and I I love this place because of the fun ambience and for the good food and cocktails. We always have a seat when we come here. They have TVs set up at the bar for the games and they also play rock music. Fun place indeed. But this last visit was disappointing. We came for dinner around 9pm. Kitchen was just about to close. The server we had was friendly but I felt like she was rushing us to leave or end her shift. I just thought it was quite tacky to bring us the bill in the middle of our meal. She didn't even offer if we wanted another drink or dessert. Rubbed me the wrong way. Just poor customer service that particular day. Maybe she was having a bad day. Next time perhaps we will just sit at the bar.

AUTHENTIC BUFFALO WINGS IN LONG BEACH 🔥
If you’re craving real Buffalo wings, you HAVE to check out EJ’s Pub in Bixby Knolls. I lived in Buffalo, NY—home of the original Buffalo wing (shoutout to the Anchor Bar)—so trust me when I say… EJ’s wings are the real deal. 👏 Perfectly crispy, sauced just right, and packed with that classic Buffalo flavor. This is the only place I’ll go for wings. Pair 'em with an ice-cold beer and you're golden. 🍗🍺

Met a friend for a drink here. Our server was nice but kept trying to push food. There was another group next to us that was very loud but they were just having fun. We had to move to a different spot in the bar to be able to have a conversation. We didn't eat anything so I can't comment on the food.

Came here to get a beer and some fish and chips. Girlfriend got Cajun wings. My food was great and the beer selection was nice. There were some different local breweries not the usual overplayed ones. Girlfriend got Cajun wings, they were just covered in hot sauce tasted pretty lame. They weren’t bad it’s just not Cajun. For this reason subbing 1 star. Will come back! Service was good as well.

The Social List is a lively tavern in Long Beach that offers a variety of classic comfort foods, vegan options, and drinks. The concept is led by well-known figures in the community, including Luis and Brenda Navarro, Jim Leatherman, Josh Johnson, and Simon Haxton. The establishment takes pride in being the first distillery in Long Beach and benefits from the town's strong support for local businesses.
We love coming here every weekend for our bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s! We love the waitress Jazmine. She is always so sweet and welcoming! The chicken pot pie is to DIE for. Seriously one of the best things I have ever had.
Rylee D — Google review
I recently dined at this restaurant, and while the food had good flavor, I was quite disappointed with my burger. It was more bread than meat, and at $22, it was the smallest burger I’ve ever had. The onions were tasty, but when I asked for extra ranch sauce, the waitress never brought it, even though I wouldn’t have minded paying extra. Overall, the service was good, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed with the food size.
Pauline — Google review
I was very surprised at how yummy the chicken and waffles were. A unique twist by it being bacon and jalapeño and cornbread. Went super well with my Bloody Mary! Definitely coming back here again with my friends.
Michelle M — Google review
I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel like people should be warned. From the moment we walked in, the service was terrible. The girl at the front was visibly rude, giving us angry looks, and when our server came over, he spoke so fast it was impossible to understand what he was saying. We thought we ordered clearly, but what came out was completely different—my son got just two chicken tenders, my mom got a mac and cheese, and the “best burger in Long Beach” (as advertised on the menu) turned out to be one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had. It tasted like a frozen patty, was completely flavorless, and I couldn’t even finish it. The tenders were somehow even worse—so bad that the aftertaste lingered in my mouth long after trying them. My son urged me to taste one, and that was the final straw. I refused to pay for them, and instead of handling it professionally, the server got upset and said he would only charge us for the beers. In the end, we still ended up paying $35 for what was honestly one of the worst meals I can remember ever having. On top of that, the place was swarming with flies, which made the entire meal even more unpleasant. Overall, the food was inedible, the service was rude and chaotic, and the environment was unhygienic. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Omar M — Google review
I will note first that to me this place feels more like for drinking with food rather than a straight up restaurant with drink offerings. That's not a bad thing, if you planing a night out for drinking and having a bite this is a great choice. We were looking for more of restaurant vibe but still kept our reservation and ate here. Feels was good and service ok. Vibes were off for us but that's our fault.
Brian P — Google review
Came here as a party of 10ish on a Friday. Lovely staff that allowed us to split 4 ways (that is their maximum). I ordered their brisket nachos and a friend ordered their Bleu Cheese Wedge salad, substituting the bleu cheese for cheddar and adding a seared seasame encrusted ahi tuna on top. They brought our food in a timely manner. The brisket nachos feed two, and if you’re a light eater maybe three. The brisket was okay but a slight bit dry, and the cheese is made Texas style with a bit of sweetness to it. The salad itself was huge, with lots for leftover. The atmosphere wasn’t particularly special but was nice.
Yasamean Z — Google review
Love the food, the server and the atmosphere! A great spot with a loaded menu, displaying and array of dining options!

Absolutely blown away by my experience at The Social List! I ordered the Cubano, which was cooked to perfection, with the perfect balance of flavors in every bite. What really took the meal to the next level was the chef's recommended cocktail, which was a special that day. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name, but it paired flawlessly with the Cubano. The flavors complemented each other in such a delightful way that it made for an unforgettable dining experience. The atmosphere and service were top-notch as well. I can't wait to return. Highly recommend!
