Small cosy wine bar/shop near the center of Chisinau with a nice selection of wines from Moldova. You can go and pick your bottle and sit, relax and sip it. If you are hungry you can get a cheese and meat board for picking. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere nice.

It’s quieter than most spots near the city center, offering a broad selection of wines and a pleasant outdoor seating area. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a discreet, tucked-away place to catch up or simply enjoy a drink without interruptions.

A nice wine bar focusing on Moldavian wines. We tasted som very nice red wines. Unfortunately they served the sparkling wine in white wine glasses, so there was no bubbles at all. Such a shame...

Very knowledgeable about Moldavian wines. Now they make their own wines so they do tasting on those and not what they pick up outside of Kishinev. Unfortunate. I tasted their wines and loved bad boys. It was not available in duty free so if you have a bag, buy it asap.

Terrible experience! We waited over 45 minutes for the dishes we ordered, only to be told they weren't available. Even the dishes they did have took an extremely long time to prepare. The cocktails were also unavailable, even though we ordered the most basic ones. I do not recommend this place!

Where to begin? I’ll begin with the good, ambiance is nice, drinks were okay ish. The sushi was also ok, but there are better places. Now for the bad, it is clear what kind of clientele this place is looking for. Except the hostess at the entrance, none of the people we interacted with spoke romanian. If they didn’t know, or did not want to, it doesn’t matter. They did not speak english either. Service was very slow to the point you are waiting 30-45 minutes for a drink. To top it off, after we left , we said “O seara buna!” and the waiter rolled her eyes and told us “bye bye” in russian once again. I have never seen service like this anywhere. It also seems to be a repeat issue judging by the reviews.Definitely do not recommend.

The sushi is full of cream cheese.. these are not sushi... tried to ask them to put less cream cheese in my portion of sushi they couldn't do it because this is their recipe... Also pay attention to the set of the sushi. The sushi set is more expensive then buying it individually. I asked the waiter why is it more expensive to take the set. She said : "yeah we know but this is the price" ( normally it should be cheaper when you buy 3 sushi rolls because you don't buy one Philadelphia sushi you buy 3.. ) I guess they just don't care. Take it or leave it. This a place is to be seen not to have a nice meal. Although I must say the service improved.. but maybe it is time to bring all the food at once if is was ordered in the same time?

I had two disappointing experiences in the same visit to this place. First, I ordered a bottle of wine that was clearly priced at 350 lei, but when the check came, I was shocked to see 550 lei. When I pointed this out, they said it was a “mistake” — but it felt dishonest and made me very uncomfortable. Second, I ordered 500ml of tea, but what I received was barely over 200ml. I brought this up to the waitress, but she didn’t care at all — no explanation, no offer to fix it, nothing. Both incidents happened on the same day. I expected a much higher level of honesty and service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning and I can’t recommend this place.

I've been a few times and I was pleasantly surprised by their tasty cuisine, the even have some delicious sushi rolls, and the best thing about it is that they work 24/7.

The atmosphere is fantastic. The DJ does a great job. The cocktails are amazing and the prices are ok. Many options of hookah.

Holy crap ... what an amazing find in Chisinau!!! Food was great, drink was cold and the decor and atmosphere was outstanding. And as a ultra special bonus you can enjoy yourself there until 06:00 with them serving food until 05:00. For those who like Karaoke (me not being one of them) there is a private Karaoke room. For the rest of us there is inside and outside seating to enjoy without the noise. Highly recommended

Eli-Pili rules! It was my first time in Chisinau and Eli-Pili made sure I won't forget this experience. Amazing place and atmosphere! The waiters were friendly, funny and very quick to serve us whatever we wanted. The food? Try Soleanca! Let me say that again. You need to try soleanca! Is it a soup? No. Is it a borsch? No. It's the mother of them all! The most delicious thing ever! As a second dish I had some stew pot with potatoes and cream and god knows what else was inside - that made the whole combination a winner! A-MA-ZING! And to finish the night, I tried all the BAR-DAR cognac on the menu. Different years, from 7 years old up. And no headaches in the morning! I met and made friends with locals, willing to share stories and jokes and everything. I had the best time there. And I can't wait to go back. Thank you Eli-Pili. You rule!

The pancakes were lovely and creamy Generous portions

We went on a Sunday morning for a late breakfast, the atmosphere was very welcoming and in the style of hybrid American diner / Moldovan restaurant with many classic American signs and things. Our waiter did speak English to a degree (my wife just ordered in Romanian to make things easier for everyone). I had the double burger and wedges, the mayonnaise sauce was delicious, and as my wife said, "the patty meat tastes like it is from Moldova." To order, you sit at a table, scan a QR code, and it opens the menu, with choices in English, Romanian, and Russian. The English Breakfast is not the traditional kind. Instead of bacon, baked beans, and hash browns it has a salad. Would recommend if in the area.

Eli-Pili' serves up sour soups that are an absolute treat for the taste buds. 😋 The addition of lard on the side adds a richness that's both indulgent and comforting. It's a novel twist on a classic dish, and it works surprisingly well. The sour soups are packed with fresh ingredients and are incredibly satisfying.

Visited in March 2025 This restaurant has an appealing location and a pleasant atmosphere. One of its standout features is the outdoor dining area, where guests can eat inside glass spheres. This is an interesting and somewhat unique concept that adds a different touch to the experience. The menu offers a good selection of meat dishes, catering to different tastes. We tried several dishes, and all of them were tasty and generously portioned. In fact, the portions were so large that we couldn’t finish everything and were able to take the leftovers home, which was a nice bonus. The service was also a positive aspect of our visit. The waitress was friendly and polite, making us feel welcome throughout the meal. A practical advantage of this restaurant is the ample parking space, which makes it convenient for guests arriving by car. Overall, it’s a great place for a pleasant dining experience with delicious food, generous portions, and a unique setting.

Dark beer and good snacks are all you need. There is a variety of other tasty food, including meat and fried fish. If you have a large company, don’t hesitate; just go and enjoy!

Price of the food high as in prague, gulash not that good. Beer ok. They force you to go to smaller table when you come in small group even if the restaurant is emty. Doesnt make sense. A nemají podtácky dpc!

I would love to rank 5 star but I could not. The main reason is not about the food or beer, it is about shisha. You are the unique one that does not provide the service of changing carbon, which make me confuse. You could even charge for this service instead of let your customer keep sucking the pipe to avoid it cool down, you will not like it especially when you are eating.

I visited this wine shop on Saturday, September 20th, and I was completely surprised in the best way possible. The place has a truly special atmosphere, and together with the background music it created a warm and inviting vibe. The prices were very reasonable, which makes it accessible for visitors. The young lady who assisted me showed absolute professionalism the wine was served with great care, and she suggested pairing it with a cheese board, which turned out to be a perfect match. The addition of quince jam on the board was absolutely delicious and complemented the wine beautifully. What impressed me most was that the staff genuinely cares about their customers, not only through service but also through simple, friendly conversation, as I experienced myself. Another highlight is the wide selection of wines, which makes it an excellent spot both for beginners and for those who already know their favorites. The shop is also located in a great spot, right in the city center next to Parcul Catedralei making it easy to find. I will definitely come back.

Behind the bar are absolute professionals with great attitude. Wines were perfect. The only issue we had was with Live Jazz music even that was quite expensive and includes only a glass of wine and very very very small snack, like a one bite snack. Live Jazz was also disappointed as there weren't any instruments just singer. Would recommend and a daily basis, I do not recommend live music events.

We had a lovely experience at the local wine tasting and local cheeses. Natalie our host was well informed and very helpful. She clearly understands wine and communicates well . The range of wines is amazing. I would recommend it.

Tldr; few wine options and ignorant staff. First of all, there are very few options of wine not in a bottle (7-8 if I remember right), which are offered only in big glasses and not even in wine specific ones: same glass given for a red and white wine. No actual tasting sizes offered. The staff feels like are doing you a favor and like their salary is decreased with the number of words they say when answering your questions. The good part is that there is a very wide range of bottled wine, but I wouldn't say they have the best prices. P. S. A nice map with different wineries is also available for lookout.

Changes of owners serious decrease on all dimensions. Wines are still there, but affection is gone. Below is my previous rating with all 5 stars, now only two and out of respect for the wine. Treat your guests well, don't use your businesse for your private parties or at least do not mix them with the guests who come to spent their money in your place letting them without attention and discriminating in services. Big collection of different wines. The service listened to our preferences and offered us the perfect wine which fully fitted our expectations. At the end service was not so attentive wasn't coming and asking if everything ok or putting more wine once it was finished that's why minus 1 point. Still we will come back to this place and know that guys will do it better next time

For me it was a very pleasant discover of a small restaurant/winery. There you can taste some of the best Moldovan wines. The stuff new what to advice me as I wanted to try smth new from wines. Also they were very attentive and very informative when I asked to tell me about the served wine. You can also buy wines ( one of the best collection) and the prices are a little bit small then in supermarkets. It was a very nice choice for spending a calm evening.

Lovely cave bar below street level. Good selection of beers which always makes me happy 😊 I had the Beermaster Dark Larger and also the Double IPA. Both decent. I would highly recommend this place for a beer and to chillout with friends.

Worst place in town. We have waited 90 mins for just a wrap. Only one girl is trying to keep up with the requests. Waited fork for 30 mins and started to eat with two knives. Never go and have your nerves go crazy..

It was Saturday night, I entered right after midnight and left in twenty minutes. I've noticed really tiny and closed dance floor with accommodating around 15 locals and empty and dead bar with no clients at counter. Never again...

I recently visited Cafe 513 with high hopes for a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that only two tables were occupied, while the rest were reserved. Despite coming in during the evening hours, the cafe remained largely empty throughout my visit. This was a disappointing and perplexing situation, as I had expected a more vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. It's disheartening to see a cafe with potential fail to deliver on its promise. The lack of patrons and the numerous reserved tables gave off an uncomfortable vibe, making me wonder why the place seemed so unpopular despite the prime time of day. While I understand that reservations are a common practice, having a majority of the cafe's seating unavailable to walk-in customers is off-putting and inconsiderate to potential patrons. I hope that Cafe 513 takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving the overall experience for its customers. A more balanced approach to table availability and a concerted effort to create a warm and inviting ambiance could greatly enhance the cafe's appeal. As someone who was excited to explore a new cafe, I left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.

The best (underground) club from Chisinau. Week days is working as a restaurant. On Thursday’s they have live music, almost local singers. On weekends, starting from Friday, they do best parties. It’s a must to go on “Zaibisi Party”.

This is night club, where by all foreigners will enjoy their self if they get there, is open on Friday and Saturday. Entrance free is 100 lei which is equal to 5 euro. I as a DJ, I want to perform there as well but, I was not yet given the opportunity to perform as a DJ over there, hope it will come one day.

Nice terrace with great live music. Check it out if you want to have a chill evening. I found there one handsome local artist “Prima Dragoste”

Found the service to be a bit lacking, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either... Reasonable menu to choose from and the Pepper Steak with a side of mashed potatoes turned out to be a nice choice. Didn't look spectacular, but the creamy pepper sauce was really nice. Wouldn't be rushing back, but wouldn't say no to another meal either.

Absolutely disappointing. Pork ribs for 15 eur, at the first glance looked great with two small pieces of potatoes. Overcooked (in reality boiled), without taste and way too fat. Burger was very sweet with hardly chewable meat. Lost evening...

Food is fine, but service is very slow. Also this place is smoked through with cigarettes. They have glass smoking area with big gaps, so all the smoke seeping through and filling the whole restaurant.

You can't go wrong with Jack's. The staff speak English, they're reliable, quick, and the food is super good for the price they charge. They make the best Bloody Mary in town. Highly recommend.

Pleasant dinner accompanied by live music. Tasty food. There were three of us, so, amongst ourselves we tasted quite a bit of the dishes on the menu: entrees, soup, main dish, desert. All good, fresh, nicely presented by an attentive waiter. At the end we got the nicely decorated baked pear with honey. Obviously sweet, maybe a bit bland, but a good choice for the end of the meal.

We have been there on a Friday evening and the place was almost empty. The place is looking nice, however the food isn't very good. The Fiesta di carne pizza is very very greasy and salty, it is impossible to eat the whole pizza by yourself due to the grease, I would say. The burger was also basic, maybe even disappointing, we could say. Most probably we won't go to this place again. The location, however, is good.

Just a few minutes walk from the Victory Arch in the center of Chisinau, this establishment is a clean upmarket bar/restaurant with friendly staff, interesting food options and a large drink option menu.

What a surprise to find this gem in Chișinău. Stop by when you fancy a cocktail. The staff is great and always available to give you a tour of the place and discuss about cocktails or life.

A bit of a hidden gem in str. Mihai Eminescu in central Chișinău. Friendly and talkative (!!) bar personnel, and excellent cocktails.

Wonderful and authentic speakeasy bar. The bartenders are wonderful to talk to. Good place to also meet people and hang out. The aesthetic is a mix of traditional Moldovan styles with modern retro influences that creates such a unique atmosphere. Amazing place.

Rude personal. We came for concert and waited 3 hours on feet, sit for 5 minutes at one table and they yelled at us to leave, even though all tables were free. Another concert were cancelled and they didn’t even post a thing about it, we and lots of other people came and were leaving, because they couldn’t even post on their stories about cancellation

If you’re into night clubs, this is one of the best in town. Very posh & fancy. This comes at a price though, which is not all that cheap. There is a dress code that should be followed. During the day, the night club is converted into a swimming pool, which is quite affordable.

So awful, they didn't let us go inside because we looked exactly like other people going inside just saying that we don't wear proper clothes and as I showed them people wearing the same clothing as us they didn't care and very rude told us to leave. Discrimination in first place. Worst experience ever. Won't recommend.

It is very popular place in Ukraine, and service in Ukraine is more better. If you open same place here, it is very strange, when your staff meet Ukrainian people and start to speak with them using Russian language. Even don’t want to say “Good day” or “You are welcome” on Ukrainian language. And in Ukrainian bar staff add the cherry into cup of wine. There aren’t here so nice element. I was outraged by the rudeness of the staff.

Beautiful decor, but a very simple concept. what you can get is only Ukrainian cherry wine and just a few selections of snacks, no chairs but a simple counter to drink quickly. What could be more appealing than this bar to have near your workplace? I would go there at least once a week if I had this bar around where I live (unfortunately, I don't even live in Moldova...) The wine is brilliant that it almost feels like you are drinking juice. But strong enough with 17 degrees of alcohol. The decor and music really make the vibe even better. It should be the best meeting place before you start a night.

Nice place. They serve only cherry wine. There are no chairs, evwryone chill on foot. But the prices were unacceptable in many countries. 2 glasses of wine, a little portion of cheese 330 Lei. Felt like unreasonable price of a woke neighborhood cafe in Europe, not Moldova. If you are into athmosphere, then go. For some countries this price maybe ok. Otherwise you can get drunk with that money in Chisinau.

Listen I still love this place and it still feels a place you have to go to in the evening but the prices for Moldova are an absurdity now. Great atmosphere, ok service, great product, real shame about the pricing. Whilst it is fine for tourists, it is now pricing out most the locals which is a real shame.

Very authentic and eerie place. I like it. Feels like medieval Europe. However sour cherry liqueur is not my thing. I have noticed this. Thank you. However for people who like sour and sweet alcohol this can be a very good choice. 😅

Wonderful guidance through a lot of wines. We speak English and a bit of Romanian and we were able to communicate with the older man helping us. We loved the wine machine because we could buy small portions of each wine to try. We both left with our favourite bottle from the tasting machine.

I recently booked a wine tour with wine.md and it was a complete disaster. Despite making a reservation a week in advance for myself and four others, the winery staff had absolutely no record of our booking when we arrived. After some confusion, we were eventually lumped in with another group, but they spoke a different language, so I had to translate everything for my guest. We also wanted to enjoy wine tasting with some traditional food, but they only organize tastings with meals if you reserve in advance, so we had to try those wines being starved. Overall, it was a chaotic and disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend wine.md touristic department to anyone. Save yourself the headache and find a more reliable option for your wine adventures.

Wow. Just spent 2,200 lei on wine and not one bag. Well, except for some overpriced tourist nonsense. I would just like to pay for paper or plastic and not some embroidered delicacy with fish and fowl or flowers of whatever. And the two very young staff there are worse than useless, including when it comes to being able to discuss the wines that they sell. Time to get some professional, adult supervision over there, preferably with some management and service experience. With that kind of service (or lack thereof), I will seriously consider not going back. And that includes for delivery orders.

We went to their other shop (just some 50m away, on Sciusev 62, which is not on Google Maps) and it was a really amazing experience. They have a great selection of reds, whites, rosés and even orange wine. You can have a tasting of all of them at really reasonable prices, and you get top quality. The food is really good as well, to have a snack along with the drinks. They have really friendly staff and a very knowledgeable sommelier who will not hesitate to explain the background of each winery you desire to taste (in Russian, English or Romanian!). A place where time does not go by! Really warmly recommended.

Place is ok, quality is good but nusic was oriented on some west tourists, to much rnb and other making us tired stuff for "black" guys. Music awfull, but guys behind the bar and people arround lift up the moods

The club is closed I walked all the way here for no reason. And I was even attacked by stray dogs …. I think one even stole my Vodka bottle. 0 stars, would not recommend.

I stayed close to this place in Chisinău, so it was my go to place for breakfast and coffee through the day. The staff are super friendly, the food is excellent (and reasonably priced) and they sell excellent decaf coffee. It’s a great place with great staff. Not a bad place to work either, although they do have music, so it’s not quiet. Five stars from me.

Located in the center of Chișinău, this restaurant serves generous portions of traditional Romanian and Moldovan food, full of flavor and at very fair prices. Even though it was almost always full, service was quick and we were always informed about the waiting time. While waiting, we enjoyed a tasty Plăcinte as a starter. We loved it so much that we came back three times during our stay! If you’re looking for an authentic local dining experience, this is the place. Already missing the food and the atmosphere!

Had an amazing meal at La Placinte! The atmosphere is wonderful, very cozy and inviting, with cool traditional artwork on the walls. ​There is a great variety of food on the menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The pictures say it all! We tried the mămăligă with stew, the cabbage rolls (sarmale), the soup in a bread bowl, and the delicious salads and potato dishes. Everything tasted authentic and was presented beautifully. Don't skip dessert; the honey cake was perfect with a cup of tea. ​The staff was incredibly helpful and hospitable, which made the experience even better. On top of all that, the prices are very cheap for such high-quality, hearty food. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic restaurant serving traditional moldovian and ukrainian food. Very friendly and mindful service. The food is unbelievably delicious and the menu is quite large so one might need a few visits to try everything. It can be quite crowded here but the staff does everything to provide with the best service. This also indicates that the place is quite popular among locals. Highly recommended and hopefully will visit again.

I’d like to highlight this place because it perfectly combines traditional Moldovan cuisine, quick service, and reasonable prices. There’s a wide variety of dishes — everything is fresh and incredibly tasty. You can also order food to take away. I especially loved the cherry pie (placinta). I highly recommend visiting this restaurant — I ate there several days in a row, discovered many new dishes, and truly enjoyed every meal.

"La Plăcinte" in Chisinau is a true treasure. The food is excellent and represents authentic, homemade Moldovan cuisine. The selection of dishes is great, offering variety for everyone. The food quality is genuinely top-notch – everything is fresh and exceptionally delicious. ​What particularly surprised me were the very low prices. The bill was surprisingly low considering how much we ate and the quality we received. Although it is often crowded, the atmosphere is good and pleasant. I warmly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try real Moldovan cuisine without breaking the bank!

My favourite place in Chisinau. Menu in english and with pictures- doesnt sound good but in this case IT is not a red flag. Go there, order a jug of house wine, try some cold appetizers, get a solianka soup for first course and then whatever You wish ( chicken breast, pielmieni, buef strogonow are good in my opinion) and finish with cherry filled pancakes if You still have capacity :) You should be satisfied. You should also try brandy shot from communist Tyraspol- Kivit :)

Beautiful place and atmosphere. The food tastes good. All of us paid, but the server said there is 800 wasn’t paid. We asked for the items that weren’t paid but he said “i don’t know” and he was doing his calculations manually on the phone even he has an automated system. Ao obviously this is a SCAM. Went there on Sunday with friends. But the music was too loud. We asked to turn it down so many times, but was useless. We weren’t able to hear each other, then we just left the place. We literally were the only table at 10:00 pm.

The best rooftop bar and restaurant I have ever been!

I went during the week and the food and service were great. Were not allowed at the party because `there is a reservation list you had to reserve one week prior`, but as I was leaving another another guy came speaking english saying he has no reservation and was greeted right in. The party organisers are clearly selecting what they think is rich, very kitsch attitude. The music was bad anyway. If you have some class skip the party and just enjoy the restaurant and view by day. There is another party place nearby, much better music, starts at 2am, in a tunnel right across the street from no1 supermarket.

Overall - ok. View is great, cocktails are great, sushi - nice presentation, but so so taste. Very pricey. 20% tips they add automatically to your bill. Also, we saw people were smoking cigarettes inside the lounge. We were not offered to go to the non smoking side of the lounge, even the place was pretty empty.

Haven’t had dinner there, only came for a bottle of wine at sunset and really enjoyed the design, the view and the vibe. On the wine list, go for Equinox or Pelican Negru, these are the closest options for natural wine in the country.

This restaurant, located in the basement of an old building in central Chișinău, has a cozy wooden interior with a Van Gogh & wine theme. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, recommending both a wine and a dish. It’s not a typical Moldovan cuisine restaurant, but the atmosphere and food were great. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but worth it for the overall experience.

The food here is great.. the staff are so welcoming.. and the food is equal to it.. I had a rare steak here and it was delicious [something I only ordered if I trust the staff]... the ceaser salad was great too.. but oh.. oh.. oh..oh.. the wine was really good.. especially the pilot noir.. Goog good job Wine Gogh.. you se the standard here in moldova 🇲🇩 .. everyone, do yourself a favour and visit this place.

We had a wonderful experience dining here. The ambience is beautiful and very cozy, which immediately makes you feel welcome. The food was excellent – everything we tried was full of flavour and perfectly prepared. The service was top-notch as well: very friendly, attentive and professional. I’m sorry but it has been one of the, if not the, best restaurant evening ever. I loved food, music, wine, beer, customers and music. Friendly employees and clearly proudly made food made my day. I can recommend this place to anyone that loves meat or fish and an cosy place with lovely people.

The ambience and atmosphere is great, the place has a bright and classy interior. The service is a little slow but very friendly staff. Their burger meat has a slightly charred taste which I guess not everybody would be a fan of. Their sushi is a 6/10, had better ones from elsewhere. Overall food is 6.5/10.

We ordered a burger and it took soo long to get served and then food wasn’t even hot, the chicken was too cooked and had a burnt taste, the sushi was fine and the pasta also tasted okay we give it a 6.5/10 experience.

Disappointing experience. Our group of seven walked in to a really nice ambience and deliciousj smells from roasting on the grill. But... Our waitress took our orders for food and drinks without writing a thing down and seemingly not knowing many items on the menu. Only two beers (imported) were in stock from all those on the annoying QR code menu. Around 10-15 minutes later they returned to tell us there was no meat available. We had not even been brought our drinks in the meantime so we were a bit bewildered by the experience. Service was poor. I would give another chance as the food did smell and look incredible, but this time we simply had to leave before even enjoying a drink.

It's fine. The food is OK, pretty broad variety of drinks, especially wine. The interior is overwhelmed with stuff, but there is a nice place to stay with a group of people. After 9:30 pm the music is way too loud, makes talking uncomfortable. But there is a friendly administrator Sergey, that will always help you.

We had our brunch in a weekday. Tables were dirty and not properly cleaned. The food was served quickly.

A bar tucked away in the center of Chisinau with a lot of potential but we found there was a lack of atmosphere there. Maybe it was because it was a week night but we were the only ones there. We had one drink and a few picks and moved on.

This is a wonderful neighborhood pub! The food is very good and reasonably priced. My server, Oxanna, was highly professional and a true delight in helping me navigate the menu with my developing Romanian language skills. I will be back often!

Worst burger in my life! Had to wait 40 mins to get a super dry, no taste, hard burger. Also, the service was terrible, the waitress has asked us several times what is our order to get a wrong one in the end. Only the atmosphere and the people made it better, overall I do not recommend this pub.

Far from what it used to be. I ordered an alcoholic mojito and what I got was far from “Mojito”. The drink was literally green color with some sirop, with no mint leaves, with one small lemon slice. The worst mojito in the city. Not to mention how insanely priced it was. 100 lei for a glass of sirop…Also, we ordered large meat plate that was a disaster. There were some dried salty fish, nuts and some cheese with one type of sausage. Will not be back for sure and do not recommend!

They have amazing weekend parties here with good DJs/music and friendly people. But make sure to reserve a table if you want to have a place to rest, otherwise most probably you will have to buckle up with the rest of the crowd at the bar. During daytime the place is quite cosy and appropriate for a lunch/coffee while catching up with a friend.

The first time I was at Barbar was in 2017, and it was an awesome experience. Lively music, good drinks, nice atmosphere. At that time I would have definitely recommended the place. Now, I don't know. Perhaps I'm getting old. Entrance fee - 100 lei ~ 5 euros (i guess that's the case when there is a DJ), overly expensive drinks and food for the Moldovan standards. We ordered 2 Beck's and they pretended to not have any and offered us a much worse quality beer. We accepted it as there was no other better choice. Later we realized they were giving Beck's to other customers. No idea why they decided to not offer us what we initially asked for:( The music quality was pretty low, the song transitions meh. I'm sorry for giving such a bad review and having such expectations, but you guys need to do better when the prices are so high, there is much more potential in this place.

I expected a better club. The sound is had not the best quality. Some tracks played multiple times. The shot bought with the entrance ticket was awful. Only 2 toilets (one male and one female). But...People had fun!

Nice venue, pop (not club) music, clients appear to range from 17-21 though. Not a venue for iver 30's on a saturday. If i was 18, i would rate it higher but for what we wanted, it was a Uni disco only.

We were recommended by our local host to get there as we were looking for a nice party place with let's say "older people". We (two Western European men, 40+ and well dressed) arrived at midnight and were willing to spend our money for a decent quality evening. But I can only confirm some of the reviews and align with the 3.7 score; if you don't speak Russian/Moldavian, the guys at the entrance will tell you with their 4 word English vocabulary: "no reservation, no entry" and ask you to clear the entrance. The place was nearly empty at this time and I don't understand the policy of this place.... Don't waste your time and rather look for another place.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Amazing interior. We were initially turned off by the prices as they are very high. We decided on a glass of wine (80 lei) and an appetizer and intended ob moving on to a more affordable place for dinner. Instead, our appetizer was mind blowing and decided we probably shouldn’t miss the opportunity to have a main course here. We weren’t disappointed and will certainly go back. The food took a bit longer than expected but was extremely impressive in terms of presentation and taste.

Best club I’ve seen in Europe, and I’ve seen a lot. Sushi top quality at 3AM, DJ totally won the price, great people inside. It’s good that they select them.

I found an empty table among the people waiting for the flight time and occupying the tables just to sit and ordered the burger called Factory Burger on the menu of the business, the burger came an hour later as the waiter who was not happy with his job said, they added too much mayonnaise and sauce to suppress the smell of the meat, there were pieces of cartilage or skin in the meat as you can see in the photo, at first I thought it was just one, I could only eat half of the burger, the oil they used is terrible, I paid an exorbitant price for this burger that I should not have paid even a dollar for and I ran to the bathroom immediately, I felt this bad quality🤮🤮🤮 smell and taste in my mouth and stomach throughout the flight, I recommend you to think a few times before eating something here. No one should have to suffer during the flight, also this business has a lack of language skills

Been here with the family, wanted to have a nice dinner before arrival, had 1.5h of time . Got here , 2 tables , 3 says reserved , in total about 6 ppl . Server saying no dinner for me , not enough time to cook even an order of fries. How the hell they are open , even reserved tables . Very disappointed and ashamed because i had hosted some guests and it’s a face of Moldavian culture . Lazy stuff and politeness server . Shame on you !

We went in at 20:00 pm the tables were disgustingly dirty . We sat and we waited for the waiter to clean . He kept avoiding even when i went straight to him he ignored Me . And when we started checking the menu he came and cleaned the table we said we want to order and he said he’ll be back to take our order but he kept avoiding us until he feel like it he came to us and said no food we said why he said kitchen close at 21:00 it was 20:35 I don’t know if its lack of professionalism or is racism because my Mom wears Hijab . It was my first time in Moldova airport and I got really disappointed. Don’t recommend this place at all we went to the Cafe next to it and i would recommend it . They’re professional, caring and polite and beautiful decor .

Maybe one of the strangest places in Chisinau. Right from the start we were greeted by a bouncer who looked at us like he was about to rip our heads off. The music was too loud, I thought I'd go deaf that same evening. On the plus side - really like the food, the fries were amazing. But the Cosmo I ordered was too watery, couldn't feel any alcohol in it. Hookah was cheep and good, but they didn't have our preferred flavour. Also didn't like the service and whole atmosphere, felt like I was judged just for being there. And oh, the toilet. It's unusable. It's worse than any toilet on a railway station of a provincial town.

You'll find this tiny café tucked away in a plain ol' building near the History Museum. With just 8 seats inside and a few benches outside, it's a sweet escape from the city chaos. Step in and you're greeted by a cozy vibe, tasty coffee, and a nice selection of pastries. They stick to the basics with espresso-based drinks. And the staff? Ready to help you choose and explain what each drink and cake consists of.

If you like beer, this is definitely the best place in Chisinau! It's a micro-scale beer brewery, with a variety of very delicious, fresh beers. The boss sometimes has to excuse himself from the bar because he's constantly personally brewing the beer and controlling the process. I'm so happy to have found this place! The environment is also very inspiring, spacious, good music, clean toilets and a big garden.

I recently visited Wine Republic and was quite disappointed with my experience. The service was slow and inattentive, despite the bar not being very busy. When our order finally arrived, the wine we selected was served at the wrong temperature, which greatly affected its taste. Additionally, the food menu was limited and overpriced for the quality received. The ambiance, which I had hoped would be cozy and inviting, felt rather dull and unwelcoming. **It was clear that the poor management was to blame, as the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in providing a good customer experience.** Overall, my visit to Wine Republic fell short of expectations, and I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Wine Republic Shop, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts, particularly regarding the management. The service was incredibly slow and unprofessional. It was clear that the staff were not well-trained, as they struggled to provide basic information about the wines. Moreover, the selection was lacking; many shelves were empty, and the available options did not match their descriptions. This speaks to poor inventory management and planning. What was most frustrating, however, was the dismissive and unresponsive attitude of the management. When I tried to address my concerns, they seemed uninterested and unwilling to help. Overall, my visit was far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend Wine Republic Shop, especially given the poor leadership and oversight.

Wine Republic left me disappointed. During my recent visit, I encountered several issues. Firstly, the service was extremely slow and incompetent. The staff seemed poorly informed about the wines and couldn't provide useful recommendations. Secondly, the selection of wines was significantly less diverse than I expected. Many shelves were empty, and the available wines did not match the descriptions provided. Lastly, the prices were unjustifiably high compared to other wine shops. I expected more from Wine Republic and, unfortunately, cannot recommend this store to other wine enthusiasts.

So far the best coffee I discovered in good old chisinau! Not only this place is pleasantly minimalistic and the coffee is great, but there is always someone to have a pleasant meaningful conversation with. The pleasure of this place is that it is in a non touristic spot. It has great prices, great baristas and great visitors, it being a magnet for artistic and fun people. I go there often for my coffee and it never disappoints, I always want to come back. I discovered this place last year when I came back to Chisinau. The area around is nice to explore for a real traveler who wishes the full eastern europe experience. Overall great place not only because of the product, but the people too, which is the most important factor to me. I recommend this place for artistic coffee lovers who are striving for thoughtful and fun conversations, wanting to experience the full blend of eastern European charm and local coffee culture without breaking the bank.

One of the coolest coffee shops I visited in Chisinau. Feels like something from New York City! Excellent, friendly staff were very accommodating. Their Cold Brew coffee was perfect, and the poke bowls were delicious!

One wouldn't expect such a stylish, minimalistic designed place on the outskirts of Chisinau. But yes, it's really there and it's beautiful. 🙂 Staff is very friendly and polite. They have specialty coffee on filter, which tastes amazing. Unfortunately, on espresso they serve Julius Meinl, which seems little weird to me. I have never seen such a concept of serving specialty coffee on filter and overroasted "big company" coffee on espresso. Despite this, this place deserves 5* for design and specialty filter coffee itself, because it's kinda rare in Chisinau.

A nice place, quite. You can have some privacy while playing board games, poker or chess is also in their list. They have a big parking lot also.

very nice coffee shop right near all of the tourist attractions. i was really impressed with the taste of the espresso and thought the ambiance inside was super cool. i totally understand cafes that prefer no laptops to keep the atmosphere more social and to steer digital nomads away but since i wanted to work from my laptop i was a bit displeased with not being allowed to sit on my laptop for a bit. the staff was okay, not very friendly but i need to keep in mind that i cannot speak romanian or russian which causes a barrier in communication. i would come here again just for the good coffee, though!

Amazing selection of beans! What a gem in Moldova to have a place like this. During my trip I've been looking for specialty coffee in Spain, Italy, Istanbul and the options they had here was not even close. I had a banana bread with pistachio and a mango latte, and both were really good. Everything looked amazing, from the croissants to the cakes in the display. If I visit Chisinau again, I’ll definitely come back for a coffee and something sweet.

A very busy place from the early morning, however, guests don't disturb each other and I don't even remember if there was music. Our coffee and juice fully satisfied the demand.

Good cocktail bar with unique cocktails. Signature cocktails are a bit heavy on sweetness and lack local ingredient, but they are well made. Good art deco inspired decor and plenty of distance between tables make it a pleasant space. Outdoor tables are available.

What an enormous disappointment. First and foremost, the cocktails just aren’t very good, sorry. If you have experience with well-made cocktails, this place will not satisfy you. The service - well, it should be considered unacceptable. There was one server for the whole bar, and she sat there talking to her friend, smoking and drinking, for 10 minutes and then of course every table was waiting for something when she decided to get up and do her job. The worst part, though, was the food. They offer a “cheese plate” and smoked sausages - I include a picture here so you can see these were things they bought from a local grocery store, and not even good quality at that. To charge 150 lei for the cheese and 70 for the sausage…well, I had many complete meals in Chisinau that were much better and cost less. This business should be embarrassed, but since they seem to be popular I guess they will continue with these practices.

Great cafe! The staff was very friendly when I arrived and ordered. My americano was great and flavorful and my smoothie bowl was amazing. I wish I had more time to return during my trip because I’m confident the other coffee options were great as well. I was able to sit in one of the spaces in front of the window and read from my kindle and it was lovely. I’d definitely return.

I stumbled upon this cozy little café tucked away in the heart of the capital, and it was such a pleasant surprise. What really stood out was the pistachio matcha  absolutely delicious! Creamy, slightly nutty, and perfectly balanced with the earthy notes of matcha. You can tell they put care into what they serve. If you're in the area and looking for a peaceful spot with great drinks and atmosphere, this café is a must-visit.

I am travelling alone so I took a chance and went there by myself. The live music was great and the people were very welcoming. I would recommend it even if it just to chill.

For being a kareoke club, the kareoke system is pretty poor. The DJ constantly will put local's their friends or other songs before the queue they have with their tablets. The bar itself is great and so is bartender Max, but the DJ will not make me come back.

The French fries were cold and it seemed that it was frozen, also meat was frozen before and burger tastes like cheap burger for 2$ from bus station, not like burger from good restaurant

Nice place overall. I went on a Friday night and was complemented with a glass of champagne. Also you can smoke inside at this place, which was the only negative point for me (I don't enjoy smelling like an ashtray).

So the theme's a little weird and the same three very loud songs played on repeat the whole time we were there, but the beer was good (local LaBREWtory beers) and the prices were OK too. Worth a visit.

To start with - I was checking Google Maps to find a good BAR ( place where cocktails are served). Unfortunately, I've made a big mistake trusting reviews for EscoBar... So, they are offering some "own recipe" cocktails. However, in the cocktail card you'll not see how many ml of which spirits are there. Because of that I've requested standard Margarita, hoping not to meet any unexpected things. To my big surprise it was served without salt on the glass. Lime was dried out for some reason. When I've asked waitress - what happened to CLASSIC MARGARITA - she replied: we are serving in this way.... Come on! I requested CLASSIC cocktail, not YOUR's version of it. This was more than enough for me and I left this "best bar in Chisinau" By the way - there was absolutely no ANY snacks, like peanuts etc... Terrible experience. Own advice: I well understand your efforts to be different on the market, but please make it properly - if you invented your OWN cocktail, let your customer know exactly what he is paying for, and if your customer requesting something CLASSIC, please do not make it in your own way.

Best part of the experience was the bottled water. We didn't finish the drinks as they were simply bad. We had a flag down a waiter after waiting for 20 minutes after being seated.

This is the best cocktail bar I have ever been. After traveling to more than 29 countries, I can say that I haven't found any cocktail bar that compares to this one. Not only the decoration is cozy but the bartender is truly talented, he managed to make every cocktail we tried amazing, even though me and my partner have very different palates. We were both amazed by the skill that takes making enjoyable all kind of flavors and tastes. The staff (all of them) were very friendly and nice. Highly recommend. Do not miss the chance to visit this place if you are in Chisnau. It is a must!

Escobar is a brand new cocktail & hookah bar in the center of Chisinau. I'm enjoying a lot at this place with my friends while drinking an outstanding cocktail, smoke one of the best hookah in the town... Barmen are really accurate and honest with their clients.

Try to avoid this pub. Did not like at all the atmosphere. And the cherry on top was that on the menu the price for crayfish was 400 lei But when we asked to pay on the receipt it was a different price, 450 lei. When asked why they answered that it’s more expensive because they were of medium size , which this is not mentioned at all in the menu.

Service was... None. Absolutely. No service. Food was ok, but Meter of Meat had too few pieces of veggies (quarter of tomato, slice of zukkini, half of sweet peper, one potato and onion). Veggies are not expensive in Moldova. Please be generous!

We were waiting an hour and a half for the main dish(crabs), the service was really bad, entree dishes were not brought all at once together for the big group of people, only when I went to complain manager approached with some excuses. I don’t recommend this place, don’t waist your time!

I went there to have a cold drink, but when i arrived, i saw a sign on the door "No Adidas". I had Adidas trousers and shoes on, so i went to another cafe. If they don't want me as a customer, then fair enough. Chisinau is full of other good cafés, were they don't care about, what clothes you wear. Viking 🇩🇰

Service could be better but overall good experience. Must call ahead of time and make sure you drees up they might not let you in. 70% Russian music, 20% Romanian, 10% American. Top shelf drinks they even had Johnny Walker Black kinda surprised me. And good finger food for when you're getting drunk.

Awesome beer! All types on the tap. The owner can be really proud on his beer. I had a honour to talk with him about beer and techniques of production. Best beer in this part of Europe, definitely :) Keep going in this good job. When I will be around I will go there to grab some beers. And I am from Czech republic and I know something about beers so trust me if I am saying this is very, very good beer.

This place is NOT open during the times advertised. We made a trip there and there is nothing to drink or eat. Someone told us that they're only available if you book an event there. The opening hours are totally bogus. It is located within an industrial area and there was NOTHING going on when we tried to visit. The management of this place should clearly indicate their operation and avoid people like us having to waste our time by going there for absolutely nothing. Very disappointed.

Well, its hard to find a word. Their beer is out of this world! I am from the Czech Republic, famous beer country, and after more than a month traveling across Ukraine and Moldova and trying so many different beers and breweries, we eventualy found this place. Brewmaster Serghei is very nice guy, he know what he is doing and he is doing it very very well! We tried all beers he had on tap, all specials (you must try his IPA), and every "ml" was worth it. Keep brewing radical beer for radical people. Very good job man!
