I stayed close to this place in Chisinău, so it was my go to place for breakfast and coffee through the day. The staff are super friendly, the food is excellent (and reasonably priced) and they sell excellent decaf coffee. It’s a great place with great staff. Not a bad place to work either, although they do have music, so it’s not quiet. Five stars from me.

It’s a lovely little cafe right off the my square. I got the avocado toast with salad and it was great. Fresh juice, jasmine tea and big cappuccinos. Get the pistachio croissant. The main guy was so nice! He gave us a glass of Purcari wine which was delicious. This was our first experience in Moldova and already rate it.

Let’s be honest — this place outshines even the French themselves. The atmosphere is outstanding, the cuisine refined, and the pastries rival those found only in France’s most exclusive establishments. Highly recommended.

The interior is very beautiful, the sweets are extremely tasty and sometimes some of them are not available. There are vegan and gluten free options. The prices are a bit on the higher end, but overall approximately the same price for all sweets. The servers are a bit slow with taking and bringing your order. Overall recommend this for everyone

Crème de la Crème has a wonderful atmosphere that envelops you from the moment you walk in. The decor is very elegant, chic, and every corner is ideal for taking photos. The comfort of the environment, the pleasant music, and the ambiance transform this place from just a coffee shop into a full experience. The dessert display is incredible! There are so many options that it's genuinely hard to decide; the cakes, macarons, and other desserts appeal to both the eyes and the palate. The desserts we tried were fresh and very delicious. Their coffee is equally high-quality and successful. The service staff is attentive and polite. Whether for a long chat with friends or just to spend quality time with a great dessert and coffee, this is a chic and delightful place that you must visit in Chișinău.

Taifas was my first experience with Moldovan food and this review is some ways more about personal preference than the restaurant. I wanted to try the local cuisine and Taifas provides a good opportunity for that with a pleasant location, live music and great service. Our waiter offered helpful suggestions and we ordered our food along with wine and beer. We liked the subtle flavours of the wine and we really liked the beer. Sadly the cuisine is not for us as it is so heavy on meat and sour cream. The travellers meat platter reminded me of authentic Finnish food from the late 80s in good and bad ways. The main dish was our favorite. Taifas is a great restaurant, but the cuisine can be a challenge, so ask for advice from the waiters. We loved the talking parrot inside the restaurant.

If you are in Moldova and looking for authentic food, Taifas is the place. Be sure to book as they get pretty busy, which I’m Not surprised because the service and food are excellent. The addition of live traditional music is an added bonus. I’m not going to suggest any dishes, you’ll just have to visit to find out.

I got terribly sick after their food and spend 2,5h vomiting. I had pork with sour-cream and mushroom sauce and polenta with a cabbage salat. Disgusting experience

The food was very good and tasty. The place feels more like a proper restaurant – with nice decor and professional service. However, as a tourist, I don’t think it’s really worth it since the prices are about twice as high as at La Placinte. Still, if you’re looking for something more elegant but still traditional, this is the right place for you.

Don’t go there. First of all, the staff is rude. I asked in English where is the toilet . He answered in Russian, pointing to somewhere. I didn’t understand and he acted rude. Secondly, my friend asked for a Mamaliga without extras. When it arrived, he explained it was without extra . They said they would charge as if there was no extra. When the bill arrived, the waiter just said “I will not correct the bill - you have to pay with extra”. Never go there if you are a tourist!!!

Delicious Cusma lui Guguta. For single, there is just the pancake version. Size of 4 people get the original Cusma lui Guguta. Still delicious. Tasty coffee. I think the garcon forgot me outside though.

The other evening, I visited this restaurant upon recommendations from my hotel personnel. I would love to be able to review the dining experience at this restaurant however, upon entering the establishment, the host, who was dressed in a traditional outfit, said “no” to me. I was flummoxed as to the dismissive behavior. I tried to explain that I was interested in dining and he continued to say “no” meanwhile, there were a couple of people waiting to be seated. At one point, the host entered the dining area and returned saying “no” for a third time. As someone who has enjoyed dining out regularly for years, I can say that I never received such a response from the person responsible for welcoming guests.

When you first see the selection you will think the place is really sugary and unhealthy. But it isn’t! The blackcurrant cheesecake I had almost felt healthy. So I demolished it. The decor is magnificent along with the gentle music, and the staff get 10/10 for being friendly, funny, and loving the space they have created. Delightful, comfortable seating area upstairs. What a little slice of heaven this place is. I would want to systematically try every item they make, plus all of the teas.

I read about this place online so I bookmarked it to visit in Chisinau. There were several pastries which were recommended but when I was there none was available so was wondering if it was seasonal or already sold out. Nevertheless, I asked the staff to recommend me, and both were 2 young girls which could not understand English. So I used the translation app and then they don't know what to recommend me. Decided to trust on my guy filling to order the matcha raspberry tart and also an eclair. The matcha raspberry tart was very nice I loved the combination of flavours, but the tart was a bit tough. The eclair puff was too dry, the cream didn't help much. It did look very appealing on the display chiller though. Pastries were decent nothing much to shout about. I only stayed on the ground floor as I didn't want to carry the pastries up myself on the narrow flight of stairs. I didn't know if the staff would bring up the food upstairs so I decided to stay put to save myself the trouble. Upstairs look pretty nice place to chill. Very spacious and when I went up, a big group has just left so it was quite empty. Too many pastries to try, too little space in the stomach. Probably warrant a visit to try something out in Chisinau.

I absolutely recommend this cafe. It always have empty tables, desserts are delicious and beautiful, colourfully, interior is cute - flowers and pale colours , excellent place for a date , birthday,or family meeting.Single minus is that the conditioner is missing, but if you want you can stay also outside,no problems.

A lovely cafe i would suggest you to visit while in Chisinau and want to try something sweet. It is always empty, especially in the evenings. I loved this especially, staff is nice and ready to help. From what i have tried only Panna Cotta could be improved, the rest was amazing. Especially the pie with boiled cream and fruits, it is a must try. The ambiance is very lovely and the interior also. At the second floor during evening near the window it is something magically. Tea should be tried as the smell and taste is specific and unique

Extensive menu with fabulous pictures for tourists....for a first try if local cruise I was very happy! Menu available in English and Russian via their QR code. Tasty potato dumplings with a delicate cream and mushroom sauce and tasty house wine....all affordably priced. Nice service, atmosphere and outdoor seating. Street parking available in front, but so close to central market it's easy to walk here.

What an amazing outstanding place. You know you are on the right path when the place is full of locals!. The food was amazing, the staff efficient and the drinks choices extensive and interesting. The choice of traditional foods and drinks make this place a must for any visitors to Chisinau... as well as the very reasonable prices.

We arrived at 7:40 pm. Stood at the entrance for a while. Nobody greeted and gave us any table. So we sat ourselves on the nearest available table. The whole dining experience improved as soon as Doina showed up to our table. She is friendly and attentive. Thank you The food was good, even we were not hungry. Will have to come back few more times during our short stay in Chisinău.

Tasty traditional food, with lots of varieties. The restaurant has nice decor and is very clean, as well as serving food fast. The pricing is very fair for the food, even in relation to other places in town. Completely recommend it for everyone visiting Moldova!

The menu is varied, but we were only interested in the placintas. The waiter warned us that we'd have to wait up to 30 minutes. The placinta with cottage cheese was excellent, the one with cherries was good. Prices are reasonable.

I absolutely loved everything about Jeraffe, from the ambiance to the exceptional service and the evident care for guests. We stopped for a quick bite and ordered some sushi rolls. While their execution was spotless, the flavor fell a bit short. The fish had a mealy texture and tasted slightly off, and the rice could have used more seasoning, the abundance of cream cheese in sushi is a bit off putting for me. . Despite this, I'd return anytime to explore more of their menu, especially given their carefully selected wine collection. The appetizer from the chef was a pleasant surprise.

Very strange place. Menu included Asian, Italian and other types of food- sushi, pasta, etc😁 interiors are also strange. But tase of food was pretty good.. anyway you will not have many better options in Chisinau. Service was very nice, present from chef was very good.

Very nice atmosphere inside the restaurant, and the food was excellent. We had the salmon tartar for starter. It was one of the best I have ever had. The filet mignon was also excellent. Very attentive service. I would highly recommend this place.

Great restaurant for dinner , delicious sushi

We had an amazing experience from the beginning till the end. The food is incredible, the best risotto I ever had in my entire life, even better than in Italy:) sushi also very tasty and fresh. Very intelligent waiters, paying the attention to all the details to serve us. Prices are high but you get what you pay for.

The ambience is lovely, the restaurant is small and intimate. The service however friendly is a bit slow and forgot a few items a couple of times and was not attentive in terms of wine refill, water refill etc. For a restaurant that is considered as top caliber in Moldova and for it's price-point you expect more care. Although the presentation was nice of the food, the food itself I felt was overpowered by sauces and mayo. I asked for the sushi to have no mayo but there was mayo anyways. I think this place is good for a tea/coffee and some people watching but otherwise I can't recommend the kitchen.

The food was great , but service - better . Ion was very personable , he had great knowledge of the menu , the suggestions were on point . Sushi was great , rainbow roll -highly recommend . The fondant dessert was one of the best I ever tried . Спасибо большое Иван , сервис был замечательный !

With all respect, I cannot share Publix excitement with this café. To begin with, tiramisu, which I ordered was below average. I don’t think there is even mascarpone, but some cream similar to it. Speaking about the fruit tea, it was too strong and saturated. It would be better if they served it in bigger mug or a teapot. The staff was very friendly. The restrooms are also very clean. The music ambient is not bad and very relevant to the theme of the place. They have a huge selection of pastries and desserts.

Device D'Ange very nice and comfy place to visit. Great variety of tea and dessert. Nice atmosphere and nice staff. So some people was working on personal devices, since there are a free WiFi.

This place was marked as one of the places to visit for my trip and the pastries I had to try from this shop has to be the honey cake and the almond ring. I visited in the evening, the place was not crowded and I was able to get a seat immediately. There were quite a lot of pastries to choose from, though I knew what I wanted I just had to see the full selection and also to make sure the items I wanted were available. I tried asking the staff to recommend me but they weren't able to speak English and hence couldn't understand what I asked. I decided to go ahead with the honey cake and the almond ring and its a self service cafe so you have to bring your own stuff to your own tables. I looked at the pastries they looked good and especially the almond ring it looked very big. I was still wondering if I would still have space for dinner after finishing these. The pastries turned out to be decent but would have expected it to be better. I loved the sweetness of the honey cake, although it's made of honey it was not as sweet as I thought it would be, but I didn't really like the tonne of brown specks on the cake. It didn't affect the taste of the cake but somehow I felt it was kinda like coarse powder swallowed and the aftertaste made the throat kinda uncomfortable which I had to drink quite a lot of water to wash it down. The almond ring was big, but was quite disappointed the whole ring was actually plain and the almond filling was actually right in the middle of the ring. It would be better if it was spread throughout the pastry to bring flavour to the entire bread. I can only say it was okay but not really what I imagined it to be.

I have always found an excellent pastry shop but today they delivered this to me that was made the day before, I didn't go to the counter to complain so as not to create problems and because I don't know the language, I'm really disappointed

"Delights and whimsy" is an apt word for this place. There's no way to resist the goodies, and even the locals know it. I really appreciated the taste for coffee and cakes, but the staff were more than a little overworked. We had to stand in line and wait to order & for a table to be released, which perhaps in the middle of a working day would not have been the case. Overall nice, could be better of course, but only with time.

Best desserts with reasonable price. The honey cake severed here are the best in Chișinău. The cheesecakes are also pretty good but not for everyone. Very cozy place to come and chill with a cup of coffee and a dessert or croissants.

This is a traditional restaurant offering dishes, primarily by turkic ethnic groups which historically lived in this region. The interior is a bit dark, but the service is above average. The food is very carefully prepared and very tasty. Kavurma is very oily and fatty, so be aware. They also have some desserts, and a huge variety of Moldovan dishes. It is located off city center, but definitely recommend a place to visit especially if you come with a big company. Prices are average and they have a decent Wi-Fi. They also accept cards, some of the seating areas downstairs are accessible by wheelchair users.

I recommend Gök-Oguz to those who are looking for an authentic gagaouze food experience. They have the most delicious gozleme dishes that bought back so many childhood memories ❤️. The decor is incredibly colourful and cosy! The only reason why I gave 4 stars for the service, is that waiters could be a bit more friendly and smile. In retrospective, smiling is kind of problematic in eastern europe culture. If you consider it a part of experience, I guess it’s kind of ok.

Gagauzian cuisine at its best! Even New York City doesn’t offer a restaurant with Gagauzian cuisine, but Chişinău does. We were with a group of five adults and made a reservation some two weeks before, as we knew from previous visits that the spot can become quite busy. We got a perfect table and enjoyed a wonderful evening. Gagauzian cuisine brings together in a perfect way elements from Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek and Turkish cuisine (some would it call a fusion restaurant to make it even fancier). However, this is not a newly invented taste, but all very traditional, with a lot of experience, a great taste and a good choice for different palates. It’s a bit outside the city center, so you have to know where to go. Behind the entrance door, a wonderful complex of several buildings appears, with traditional seating and rich decoration. You cannot try everything during one meal, even if you are sharing the plates (with is fun and no problem at all). Leave space for the excellent desserts! Try the wines and skip the beer (there is beer on offer, but it’s in my view not the Gagauzian thing as the wine is).

We ordered the “Po-Gheorghievski” and mutton ribs, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The “Po-Gheorghievski” is a baked lamb shank that was incredibly tender and flavorful. It came with a delightful assortment of grilled mushrooms, eggplants, zucchini, and yellow rice, which complemented the lamb perfectly. The mutton ribs were equally impressive. The meat was so tender that it fell off the bone, and it was packed with flavor.

What an incredible place. Delicious food and beautiful decoration. Can't wait to come back.

This is the only Găgăuz restaurant in Chisinau, so if you want to taste some southern cuisine this is the way to go. I would recommend getting the Lamb Pilaf - the rice just melts in your mouth. Also, there’s a dish of stewed lamb with tomato that comes with mămăligă - absolutely mouthwatering. The Shurpa was disappointing. It was too greasy and had only a big chunk of meet (not falling of the bone).

Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I ordered the pork ribs with a side of fries. They were succulent, meat falling off the bone - on par with anything I’ve had stateside. Hydration included a pint of local draft beer and a glass of dry red from Moldova. Highly recommended!

This restaurant was great! We had 8 adults and 4 kids hear for lunch. The service was fantastic! We had filets, ribeyes, pulled pork, sauasage, cucumber and salmon, shrimp, peppers, pizzas, salad, fries and and drinks. The total was a little over 6000 mdl which is a decent price for a great meal for 12 people. Highly recommend and will 100% go back.

A sort of catering esteblishment where it is very hard to understand atitude to the customers if on saturday nigth the kitchen stop working almost one and half hours before closing. Thus, potioning one as a restorant would have been quite an overestimation. Ribs were good, steaks could have been better, Ceasar dressed with plain mayo. Service was good, very friendly staff, stylish interior. Assortment of beverage not just limited, but your drink could just run out of stock midstream. 5 stars to the staff, playlist and style.

Fantastic restaurant and I had a really enjoyable steak here. I arrived early in the evening and was perhaps the only diner, but the vibe was still good with a pleasant atmosphere. The outdoor seating in the rear courtyard is brilliant and a highlight along with the food. The staff were all friendly and could speak good English which was reassuring when picking cooking styles etc. The menu is large with a wide variety of steaks as well as alternative dishes and a good mix of starters and sides. Service was fast and presentation spot on. The Moldovan fillet was cooked perfectly and the side of grilled vegetables sizeable. It’s not the cheapest option in the city but for the quality of food and service totally worth it - I’d definitely return and highly recommend for a decent steak.

We where there on special Saturday, and had special pasta from the chef , it was delicious like all other dishes we're ordered. The pasta also came with glass of wine from the restaurant, that was a nice touch. The personal is thery polite and positive. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. We liked the place, and sure will be back to try that other dishes the serve. Thank you

An okay place to brunch in Chișinău. I’m coming here once in a while, but I’m not a big fan of their cuisine. I never tasted something that impressed me, if you know what I mean. The coffee is on a bitter side, would have preferred to have it in a coffee shop instead. The interior is cute, but feels a bit stuffy due to the second floor that looms over you.

I don't get all the hype around this place. Absolutely average food, service quality - below average. Maybe it's just me, being unlucky. The other waiter, seemed nicer. Alas, he wasn't serving our table but instead we gad, a rude and inattentive waiter.

The new and therefore must visit Rozmarin Cafe 2.0 :) havent been here for more than a year. They had a small place and it gave the impression that there isnt enough air inside :) but now they have much more space and the tables are far from each other. Also a new menu (they left from the old menu the breakfasts and sandwiches I think). Also they serve for free water with lemon which its a nice touch. They are the only ones doing this kind of thing in Chisinau. Dined here with noodles with chicken, shrimps and they were tasty. The staff its courteous and friendly.

Nice place for breakfast or brunch. They don't have soups in the menu, but they have a lot sandwiches and appetizers. A great variety of wine and tea. Not crowded in the morning during the weekend :) Update. We came today (Saturday) specialy for breakfast, it is written they work from 9, at 9:27 when we arrived, we were told they work from 10:00..... Update. 30.11.2020 - came for breakfast since they work from 9. Guess what, today they are having again cleaning and they work from 10. We had a great experience here. The food was delicious, the service was fast, the stuff friendly helpful and professional. I don’t know what else you could expect from a restaurant,but I fully recommend for a complete experience in terms of food, people and atmosphere. We were served by Sergiu and I think he is one the best servers I ever saw. The prices are reasonable according to the served quality.

The atmosphere was cosy and nice and indeed was a pleasant atmosphere and various options of cakes to choose from. However the Red velvet was far away from a proper red velvet, it was dry and you couldn’t feel mascarpone cream at all. The second desert with poppy seeds and sour cherries had a weird taste as well, none of the desserts been finished.

Delicious cakes and romantic atmosphere. Good value for high quality. Fresh cakes and bakery. Great service and available for take aways. After 7 pm every day you can get a 30% discount on pieces of cake which is a good option to try different ones. What you might be surprised about is that none of them will have an ingredients list on a label or an expiration date which is not so safe.

This is a nice and quiet place, especially on Saturday morning, with relaxing music, where you will be served with cakes, sweets and taste coffee, wich help you to spend a time while you are in waiting for something or just reading your favorite book.

Maybe the best coffee in town and unique Gin and tonic flavours. We also tried their sandwiches Which were good, but not quite great. We came here multiple times during our trip.

Great cafe! The staff was very friendly when I arrived and ordered. My americano was great and flavorful and my smoothie bowl was amazing. I wish I had more time to return during my trip because I’m confident the other coffee options were great as well. I was able to sit in one of the spaces in front of the window and read from my kindle and it was lovely. I’d definitely return.
